13th Doctor newly regenerated: why are you calling me madam?
Yaz panicking thinking she just misgendered someone: I'm sorry... sir?
13th Doctor not giving it too much thinking and continuing with her regeneration drama: :)
Later that day
13th Doctor looking for a new outfit in the TARDIS, finding out about her new body and going out of the TARDIS where Yaz is waiting: I need new clothes, I'm a woman now, you coming?
Yaz assuming the Doctor is gender fluid: yeah, cool.
And they continued to be mutually confused for an entire regeneration.
Yaz doesn't know when to use each pronoun so she just uses them randomly when speaking about the Doctor. The Doctor is so confused on why she does that at the begining but she doesn't care enough about her gender to correct Yaz. They never ask eachother about it. They just chill.

I'm sorry; I hate to be a party-pooper but WHY wasn't Yaz mentioned? Virtually every significant romantic relationship was mentioned at some point, except the one the Doctor literally had three episodes ago!

The Fourteenth Doctor is out for coffee with Ace today. They’ll end up extending it unexpectedly when they see an ad that the local cinema is rerunning The Wizard of Oz for classics week. The ticket will stay in their wallet for months.
He visited the museum with Dan to hear as much detail as Dan had to share about Liverpool history, and has since gone back three more times because they still haven’t gotten through all of it. They both keep getting sidetracked on random tangents.
Last Tuesday, they went on a hike with Tegan. Nothing really strenuous, just somewhere with a nice view and easy enough terrain that they could chat as they went.
They haven’t quite worked up the nerve to visit with Yaz yet, and Yaz hasn’t quite worked up the nerve to visit with them. But they’ve got a date set for brunch four Thursdays from now. Brunch felt safe, felt low-commitment, to both of them. They’ve planned it over text.
I shouldn’t tell you the future, but spoiler alert: Brunch will go okay.
