living the dream
summary: the niners have just won the super bowl and nick celebrates with his family.
a/n: sorry this is kind of short.
Tumblr media
Nick has been working so hard this season to get to this moment and in 54 seconds, he’s going to be crowned a Super Bowl champ. The butterflies in your stomach were going crazy and all you could focus on were Nick and your sweet babies. Ava and Jax are on the edge of their seats, you’ve never seen them so excited.
“Mommy, the game is almost over they’re going to win!” Ava shouts at you over all the noise. You reach down and pick her up so she can get a clear view of the field.
“I know hunny! Dad is going to be a Champ just like we talked about.”
three..
two..
one..
The red, gold, and black confetti burst into the stadium as everyone erupted into cheers. Looking onto the field you see Nick fall to his knees with his head in his hands. You know he’s overwhelmed with emotion right now, this is all he’s ever wanted. You gather the kids as you make your way down to congratulate him. The second he was within reach you had your arms around him, he clung to you as he tried to calm himself down.
You pulled back slightly to see his face.
“Congratualtions baby!” You smiled and then lean into kiss him.
“I love you so much.” He whispers in your ear before being interrupted.
“Daddy that was totally awesome!” Ava yells while going in for a hug. Nick grabs her up and throws her up on his shoulders. Ava was four and a huge football fan so seeing the excitement on her face was the greatest feeling. Jax is a little quieter but he does run up and wrap himself around Nicks legs.
“Hey buddy, what did you think of the game?” Nick smiles down at him.
“Was so fun!” He grins not letting go of his dad.
We were interrupted by the camera man walking up to Nick for an interview.
“Nick how does it feel to finally be a super bowl champ?” the reporter asks.
“It feels great. Obviously.”
“Did you think coming into today that this would be the outcome?”
“I mean you never know what’s going to happen, but I certainly wanted it to be.” He answers
“What would you say has gotten you to this moment?”
“The hard work and dedication of my team, we’ve all worked so hard to get to this moment and the love and support of my family. My lovely lady. I couldn’t do it without her.” He smiles over you before Ava leans into the mic.
“My dad is a champ!” She yells as everyone laughs. You can’t remember another moment where you felt this happy. Seeing the love of your life accomplish his dream, and seeing the smiles on Ava and Jax. Later that night you and Nick decided that it was okay if this never happened again, because getting to experience it once was enough for you. But that didn’t mean that Nick wasn’t hungry for another ring and toy couldn’t wait to be there if it happened.

(oh no I forgot something 😅😭 Can the most focused on spot be the ears please!! Super sorry!)
Fruit(s): Bananas, Oranges, Lemons
You’re all good, Anon! Jax is such an ass and I’m here for it ( ´◡‿◡`). I’ve been pretty sick this week, so I’m sorry if there’s any mistakes or quality issues (ミ●﹏☉ミ). Fair warning, the bunny man is quite the prick in this because I like bickering. Thank you for requesting, and I hope you Enjoy!
Lee: Jax
Ler: Ragatha
Summary: Jax is being a total brat, sassing and picking on all the other characters. Ragatha has enough, giving him a lesson on manners he won’t soon forget.
Warnings: none! This is a tickle fic, so if you don’t like that, scroll away!!

The Amazing Digital Circus was…an interesting place, to say the least. If one could get over the fact that a likely-sentient AI entity ran a digital fairgrounds that nobody could ever escape from, their minds twisting and going down a deep spiral of paranoia and uncertainty until they lost their sanity, it was kinda cool. That first part was a pretty big hang-up for most, though.
Jax, however, had grown pretty used to the madness. He had his wit and sarcasm as a coping method. Why worry about your own misfortunes when you can laugh at someone else’s? The rabbit took every opportunity he could to quip, snicker and poke fun at his fellow characters. He got on everyone’s nerves.
His antics really got to one being in particular: Ragatha.
She felt as if she could tear his ears off some days. Jax would always bully the others, but he had been horrible that day. Pomni was still getting used to things; the poor thing didn’t need another reason to fret. His jokes were only putting everyone on edge, and that jester was already on a narrow ledge… It needed to stop.
“Wow Gangle, I didn’t know you could actually do something productive. Color me shocked.” Jax hovered over her, looking down at the ribbon being’s drawing. It was some sort of fan art, though he couldn’t name the media. It didn’t look that accurate, and he wasn’t that much of a nerd before he put the headset on…
Before she could think to be shocked at the half-praise, he quickly put the dickery in his words. “Shame it’s too trashy to make out whatever you drew. This place is enough of an eye-sore as is.”
The tears on Gangle’s mask rippled as she sniffed, trying not to let his mean words get to her. It didn’t really work; she’d put a lot of effort into that… She clutched the drawing to her chest as she ran away, her mouth line quivering. Jax just chuckled, not really caring that she ran off. It was just a joke. Not his fault she couldn’t take it.
Ragatha put her hands on her hips, marching over to Jax. He rolled his eyes, preparing for the lecture. “JAX! What is wrong with you?! Gangle worked really hard on that! You…you need to quit being such a jerky prick!”
The wide smirk stuck, though his eyes widened slightly. It was hardly a solid insult, though coming from such a typically passive-aggressive person, it was surprising. Didn’t know she had it in her…heh.
Jax’s snarky smirk returned, his eyes forming amused crescents. Hello, new source of entertainment… “Relax, dollface! Crybaby’s fine. Just havin’ another pity party.”
She scoffed, letting her typically suppressed temper show. “Seriously? You told her that those amazing drawings were trashy! Why are you such a bratty bully?” Her tone was as curious as it was disappointed. Eugh…
“I’m not a bully. I just say what I see; not my fault you babies can’t handle the truth.” Okay, maybe he was going a bit further than he normally did. He was bored, and the banter was actually amusing. As long as he danced on the right side of the line, he’d be fine. “Like you. I mean, I get this place knows our minds or something, but it really nailed you. Trashy scraps and frayed yarn.”
This little…ugh! He was bringing out a side of Ragatha she didn’t know she still had. “Oh really? And what’s that make you, cotton tail? A bargain bin, carnival prize knock-off?”
Jax actually chuckled; finally, someone fun. “Nah, I’m just better. Taller, good-looking, not made of sewn together *boink*. I’d say it did me right.” He smirked, leaning in and getting to her level. “You found a nice 1830’s girl yet? They’re all about raggedy scraps.”
Oh, that was it! She glared, her upper lip curling as she reached for him. The lanky jerk leaned away just in time, taking off in the opposite direction. Okay, so it was possible to make her mad…totally worth it.
Ragatha chased after him, going over revenge plans in her mind. She normally tried to avoid conflict, but Jax was out of control. Rabbit stew seemed delicious, even if it would only be a simulation…
Jax tried to find literally any not-obvious spot to hide, but everything was ginormous and solid, a vengeful Ragatha on his heels. He just ran for his life. He might’ve made it, too, if he hadn’t tripped on something. “What the-” He went down, face-planting on the bouncy floor. Gloink…of course. He could’ve sworn it smirked at him, even though they had no mouths.
The doll was on him in seconds, quickly pinning him to the floor. For fabric and stuffing, she was pretty strong. Before he could think to fight back, his arms were pinned above his head, the girl straddling him and blocking his every escape. “W-woah doll! At least buy me dinner first!” That one was kinda stupid, but it was there.
The smoldering glare that comment received finally shut him up, if only for a moment. So many ideas, so little time… But she couldn’t do anything to hurt him. One, it wasn’t physically possible, and two, she was better than that. He still needed some kind of shove in the right direction… Ohohohooo, that’s perfect.
“I think you need to learn some hard lessons, Jax. Respect for your friends, and when to shut up.” The tone of her voice was surprisingly playful, even if it had a serious edge. He didn’t know whether to be scared or relieved.
He wasn’t sure what she was up to. That is, until he felt one of her mitten-esque hands on his stomach, wiggling into the furry surface. Unable to bite his lip, giggles slipped past his defenses, greeting the smug doll. “W-whahat the *bloink* ahare you dohohoing?!”
“Isn’t it obvious? I’m showing you what happens when you’re a snarky dork.” Ragatha smirked, keeping his hands pinned firmly above his head. “W-whehen dihid you gehehet strohohohong?!”
She tsked, trying not to take offense to that. “You need a filter, Jax. Apparently Caine’s isn’t enough. My way is a bit more…hands-on.” Ragatha went to town on his belly, digging her fabric fingers into his midsection.
Squealing, twisting and turning, Jax tried anything to escape. He might’ve had the height advantage, but when it came to strength and endurance, he was surprisingly out-matched. Also, apparently very ticklish. Shocks across the board.
Jax kicked his feet, the pads thumping against the floor. She cooed, teasing him further. “Aww, guess you really do live up to your character, Thumper.”
The tickling wasn’t even the worst part, though it did come in a close second. It was the teases. He honestly didn’t think she had it in her, but *sproing* he was wrong. Ragatha squeezed his hip, making him jolt and squeal. “R-RAHAhagathaha!” Okay, make that a tie.
His laughter, to Ragatha, was honestly adorable. Who knew a jerk like him could be so ticklish, much less have a laugh like that. It was bright, bubbly and uncontrollable. Hearing her friends laugh, no matter how rude, was something special. She could listen to it all day, though she didn’t quite plan on going that far.
While the silliness wasn’t hurting him, his pride was being battered to bits. No matter how much he wriggled and writhed under her, he couldn’t manage to break her hold or knock her off. Beyond that, she just had to keep exploring his spots. “Youhuhu lihittle- GYAAAHAHA! NAHAT THEHEHERE!” Like that one.
Ragatha's eyes widened as she rubbed the base of his ear, not expecting the spot to incite such a reaction. She wasn’t complaining, though. “Geez, Jax. These floppy ears are so sensitive! I have got to tell the others.” The doll switched between each ear, making sure neither felt left out. They twitched and flopped, but couldn’t avoid her skilled hand.
Even though he was the most prideful of all the characters, her tickling was really pushing his limits; he just couldn’t take any more. Abandoning his ego for a moment, he cried out. “O-OHOHOKAHAY! IHI’M SOHAHAHARRY! P-PLEHEHEASE NO MOHOHORE!”
She took that as her cue to quit, releasing his arms and climbing off him. The rabbit man immediately curled into himself, giggling like a toddler. She did notice, however, that he was still wiggling slightly, his closed eyes moving as if he had a twitching nose. He was clearly happy, though she bet he’d never admit it out loud.
“Y-youhuhu…youhu’re dehehead!” The threat would’ve been a lot more menacing if he didn’t look and sound like he’d had the time of his life. “Uh-huh, sure. Just try to be nicer, okay Giggles?” Ragatha pat his head, walking away and going to find Gangle. Knowing her, she would need similar treatment, though for very different reasons.
Jax took deep and giggly breaths as he tried to calm himself. That was…wow. He didn’t even think stimulation like that was possible in the Circus. Then again, Caine did say the only thing he couldn’t control were their minds. How his mind felt right then…he’d rather not talk about it. Her plan had worked; he’d definitely be thinking about that encounter for a while. Maybe not for the intended reasons, though…

Which Super do you think it’d be fun to see Duke partner with for an adventure? I’m thinking Cir-El, cuz she’d be messy and ridiculous. Or Kenan, for similar reasons.
Assuming this is Jax (heh, sorry if its not, I just associate @co-superman with all Super fam asks), I'm not familiar enough with all the Super characters to have a strong opinion on this one over all....though I DO like Cir-El and think she could be a fun choice and just deserves more spotlight in general. She's a total drama queen and proud of it, and in general I don't think nearly enough of the Superfam lean into their potential as messy, dramatic disasters. Whereas Cir-El is like oh, the Batfamily did WHAT now? Hold my beer. I'll show them 'messy.'
That said, my love of Chris Kent must be noted, as well as my ire that the New 52 basically erased the version of Chris that was Clark and Lois' doted-upon adopted son.....and also worth mentioning is the fact that the key difference between pre-Flashpoint Chris and the New 52 version of Lor-Zod....is that Zod and his son Lor are now black. And villainous. (I mean obviously Zod was always a villain I'm just saying his son never had a villainous bone in his body until they reintroduced a black version of him and were like no heroism detected. That was definitely A Choice).
Soooooo I would not mind them revisiting Lor-Zod and giving him some much-needed nuance and perhaps blending the two versions of Chris/Lor in various ways....and I think Duke and any version of Chris could be a really interesting friendship.
I've actually written drabbles about Duke being friends with the pre-Flashpoint version of Chris Kent and I think the same basis could apply to him and a more heroic version of Lor being friends, so its not like its 'who are the black members of the Superfam, for Duke to be friends with' - I think that's a totally valid parameter for picking what characters to explore Duke's dynamics with, for the record, but it is one of those things that's gonna look different depending on WHO is using that as their parameter. Like me as a white person using that parameter is different from black fans going 'I just want Duke to have dynamics with characters who aren't white,' so I just want to note that distinction. For instance, I think Natasha Irons and Duke would totally respect each other, but I don't necessarily think they'd seek each other out as friends (but gimme a Natasha and Cass friendship omg I'd be so there.)
Sidebar, I have this headcanon that Cass just has a 'thing' for characters who are so passionate about a subject or hobby they hyper-fixate and it like, consumes every ounce of their attention and interest so basically all their body language is saying is different 'phrases' that are all just variations of 'omg this is so cool how can I express how much this is literally just the coolest thing ever let me count the ways.' Like I just think that's the sort of Mood that Cass is just like "I just think that's neat" in regards to, so I can totally see Natasha nerding out about some new invention or discovery of hers, and meanwhile Cass is just perched somewhere, watching intently with her head propped in her hands and making affirming noises at the appropriate intervals like no, tell me more, you're so right bestie and also pay no attention to the Giant Crush coming from my corner of the room, shhh, we're talking about your Invention, please continue.
Now, back to Duke, and with all THAT said, I do also want to note that one of the least explored but most interesting aspects of Duke's POWERS, specifically, is that thing he does where he's inherently like a Blue Lantern power ring (callback to my 'one of Duke's ancestors is the Blue Lantern version of Alan Scott, someone embodying the power of one of the emotional spectrum hues without being a ring-bearer' theory). But Duke's established as having an amplifier effect on the power of any and all superhumans in his vicinity....but to the best of my knowledge, we've only seen this with people with DC's metagene, so far? So I am curious to know if Duke's presence and aura could supercharge a Kryptonian's powers, but again, this is the kind of story beat that would come across VERY differently if Duke were just being utilized as a passive power-up for a white Kryptonian character, versus another black character being the one to benefit from this aspect of his powers in their version of a Superbat friendship.
Anyway, that's my long and rambling sorta-answer, thanks for the question!

Names
Anonymous:
Hi again! Sorry if I'm annoying you a lot these days but I have a question. Where did you get the idea of the names you used in your fan characters? I found them so well structured for the cultures that are portrayed in the fic. And of course you don't need to answer if you want! I will definitely understand you!
A QUESTION!?!?!?! ABOUT MY WORK!?!?!?! Good thing I don’t sleep!
I was that kid who bought baby name books from Goodwill and compiled lists of names “just in case.” Names are extremely important to me, but for this series, oddly enough, most of them come from suggestions. I am still hypersensitive about my difficult-to-pronounce name, which is probably why I take names so seriously. Please feel free to correct me if any meanings are wrong! Whenever I found a name, I tried cross-referencing it with other sources.
This is gonna be long and may contain a spoiler for something I’m working on, so read more if you dare.
The Names
Chiyoko
Chiyoko was originally going to be someone that Hanzo had had a brief relationship with and would betray him by providing Noob Saibot access to Kuai Liang in Ice in the Netherrealm. Noob started redeeming himself so I had to back the hell up and change her role. Her name means “the child of a thousand generations”. Her backstory was going to be that her family served the Shirai Ryu thanklessly for generations. She continued it by being a friend, a confidante, and eventually lover to Hanzo, getting close to him to kill him for the past grandmasters who never acknowledged her family’s sacrifices.
It was not a good idea, far too distracting, and I’m glad I was forced to drop it. Now, I like to think that her name means that she carries the immense knowledge of the medicine people before her.
Makaira Takahashi
Her name means “One Who Brings Happiness.” The Takahashis and Briggs and Hasashis definitely needed some of that. One little angel that brought three families closer and gave me an excuse to keep Jax in the fold and write some background Kenshi (and soon Kenshi actually interacting with Hanzo!). So fun fact, Jacqui being pregnant was originally a short foreshadowing for Kuai Liang being pregnant but I kept wussing out. Also, her second name is Vera, but only Jacqui and Takeda know that (so far).
The Bears
Bao can mean a few things, depending on the characters, but Kuai Liang’s Bao is “treasure.” Once he felt safe enough to give him a name, he gave him the only name he could recall that was ever said with love.
Kuai Liang was kidnapped when he was four, Bi-Han was eight (at some point I had justification for those ages but that has been lost to time). He doesn’t remember much about his mother, but he does remember that she used to call him Bao and Bi-Han remembers that it’s because she would swaddle him and he’d look like a bao, or a dumpling. Does Bi-Han share that, no. Would Kuai Liang appreciate him sharing that memory, yes.
Baobei has a similar meaning (precious, treasure), and can be used as an affectionate term for a young child or a lover. Like “baby” in English. Kuai Liang preserved the memory of Bao, so he named his second bear after his first, with extra love.
Bei Er came from a super helpful suggestion made in a discord group that I’m was part of. The pronunciation sounds like “bear,” and I was already sold, but this helpful guide in language also explained to me that it comes from the term 宝贝儿, and is the basis of the name Baobei (Băobéi er). Bi-Han trying to say, “I’m sorry.” I don’t take credit for that name, but it’s brilliant, and I love it.
Bi-Han accepted that Kuai Liang wouldn’t accept his replacement bears. It was too late, and Hanzo already had it covered. So he did the next best thing, gift his niece a bear, like he wished he could have done for his brother when they were young, just with added protection. He can’t protect Kuai Liang, but he can still prove that he has Lì-Yán’s best interests at heart.
Lì-Yán
When I tell you how I STRESSED over this name. I didn’t stress so hard over making my damn kid.
I had a LOT of requirements for her name. And I only fully, 100% committed to it because I was publishing the chapter with her name THAT DAY.
Her name roughly means “beautiful flame”. I decided to break tradition and not go with an ice name because it represents his father’s side, and Kuai Liang is hoping that her cryomancy is recessive. He wants to see Hanzo when he looks at her.
“Lì-Yán” sounds/ phonetically looks like “Bi-Han” - his relationship with his technically younger older brother is uncomfortable and frustrating but even to the very end, Bi-Han loved and protected Kuai Liang the best he knew how. Which is pretty impressive, considering he was also a traumatized child.
Bing-Yun
I swear I’ll stop tagging @mcbethins but she came up with this name and as soon as I saw it, Ice Dad actually became a character to me instead of an abstract child kidnapper. “Bing” is the obligatory “ice/ cold” and “Yun” which can mean a lot. A lot. But my favorite meaning so far is “born in the clouds”. It gives me “space cadet” which is how I write young Bing-Yun, before the Lin Kuei broke him and turned him cold (see what I did there). Just like I write younger Kuai Liang more sensitive, naive before the Lin Kuei broke him and left him broken. Bing-Yun cared deeply for Kuai Liang and struggled with his guilt over conceiving his sons, taking them, their lives, and what finally, finally broke his heart - their mother’s death. It’s just, you know, the Lin Kuei is all “lol ew” when it comes to feelings.
That’s it! I appreciate the question anon, I’m never bothered by questions and I enjoy talking about my process because I’m super proud of this series.

5. What is the most difficult thing about writing your current muse?
Questions for the Mun // @historiavn // Accepting!
Tumblr media
Probably my stubborn ass. I am like this with a few of my others too, especially Jax Teller but I am really stubborn when it comes to characterization. I don't bend on it, ever. I have very few verses that are canon divergent. I have a couple of exceptions, but I'm really stubborn about breaking canon. I would say that @mayxthexforce is likely the only one who can come to me with a canon-divergent or AU idea and I'll usually go for it, easily.
I'm super picky about all the eras of Anakin Skywalker: his childhood, his padawan years, The Clone Wars and then his years as a Sith.
So many people shy away from his darkness and I see it as a part of him and I guess one of the more difficult parts of it for me, is the judgment that some people have, if you are comfortable writing Vader. But, I was a Vader fan before the prequels ever came out. I've had to just develop a thick skin and say I am done trying to say, oh but he must have been so sorry about this. Vader was a Sith Lord. It's just how it is. He murdered younglings, yes. But, that's also how it is. He didn't have to do x amount of things to become the Chosen One, when all was said and done.
He apologized to Obi-Wan as he was dying. He made sure Luke knew he was right. But quite frankly, he didn't owe anyone any more redemption than that and as a writer of a deeply flawed character who is the same character as he was at birth, I owe him writing him the most authentic, as I see fit.
I'm not against him having relationships but Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader are one and the same. Hayden Christensen is the rule on Anakin and he even said Vader is Anakin going through a hard time.
I admit part of my challenge too, is I'm picky. I will never ever use anyone but Hayden.
I guess the hardest part for me, is myself. It's wanting to get it all right, and learning to not give a damn what this fandom thinks, or at least the people who don't deserve my attention.

Hey! Was just wondering if you could expand upon when you started to dislike Kurt Sutter and why?
(also where what storyline would you have written for the characters?)
Hey! Oh my god, I’m sorry I’m just responding to this now! I’ve been a little MIA on tumblr!
Sure! I will say, it’s a little hard to pinpoint exactly when but I can definitely remember a few things that changed my opinion of him lol. It definitely started at some point in S6! Now I’m Tara fan, so I’m a little biased lol, but he just treated her fans like absolute trash. He would respond to fans after her death on Twitter with distasteful comments. One was a character pissing on her grave, or Tig raping her corpse. I mean he was pretty awful on Twitter in general! I know once Tara died, he started treating Juice fans in a similar way. Meanwhile his responses to the Gemma fans were positive.
The writing also took a giant nose dive during S6/7, especially S7. The storylines didn’t make any sense, all the characters were insufferable, 90% of the dialogue was just bad, and Sutter was just aiming for shock factor (remember the opening where every character is having sex??? Why was that even a thing??). The violence was also super gratuitous, Juice was raped how many times?? He also tried so hard to paint Gemma as a victim, even after the awful shit she did throughout the series. He completely tried to undermine Gemma’s involvement in JT’s death, but revealing that JT killed himself. He also had Gemma raped a second time just so Jax would believe her?? As much as I love Tara, I could have accepted her being killed off if it was properly handled in S7. Season 7 was just bad lol. Once the show took off, Sutter’s ego grew and he sold out. It sucks because it was such an amazing show, but it only took two seasons of bad writing to ruin it.

Requests (5/23/2021)
Hi lovelies! I’ve been getting so many requests & I’m working hard to get all of them in the queue. Thanks for sending them my way! I’m writing to let you know that the queue is now full until the end of June. I was able to get every requests from my May 8th post in there except for a few. Requests from May 8th for captions featuring Katy Perry, Jenna Fischer, Marisol Nichols, Addison Rae, Ariana Grande, Erin Kellyman, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Jhene Aiko, & Kirstin Maldonado will be posted in early July.
But there have been an absolute ton of requests since then too, yay! So I’m listing all the requests that I haven’t gotten to below. If you made a request but don’t see it below that might be for a few reasons. 1) I’ve written it already and it will be posted in June. 2) It’s one of the requests I posted on May 8th so I won’t talk about it here. 3) I considered it a demand not a request (for example, I received two that said “Anything with,” that wasn’t really a request just telling me to do it. Sorry if this bothers some of you but it is an issue with me so make sure you word your requests AS requests). Either way, thanks for the love, lovelies! :D

Could you do one with either Kelley O’hara or Alex Morgan from the USWNT about a guy soccer player watching the US win the world cup and then want to be them or something like that?
I actually know who both those are (shockingly enough, I don’t really follow sports) so sure thing!

Could you do lorengrey captions? She’s so hot
Sorry sweetie, don’t know who that is. :(

Hi I just had an idea for a game you could do. It could be where someone has to say as a boy what they’re like physically in stages. So first stage is hair color for example, second stage could be height, third stage could be body type, etc. An example would be if I was a black hair, short height, thick body type, I would match up with someone like Nicki Minaj. Just an idea which you could extend on. Hopefully it makes sense. I appreciate you!
I actually have a game like this mapped out called “Build a Sissy” where you choose age, hair color, and bra size, but it would take a LOT of work to make so I haven’t written it yet. Maybe some day though. :)

I would love to see a Tori Kelly caption. Her hair and body are not typical but beautiful for a white girl. I say that last sentence respectfully. I think having a caption with her would be great
Sure thing! Tori Kelly is a cutie. :)

I already know that this request is probably gonna be a No but I still have to ask whats the ruling on GCI enhanced celebrities like Taylor swift from Cats?  Or is that too much like "Furry" stuff. Now I'm Feeling this will be a No for multiple reasons
So it is not an issue with CGI “enhanced” celebrities but for Cats it is because I do not have a Furry fetish and I get uncomfortable thinking about writing caps for it. But I write caps with “manips” all the time (photoshopped images of celebs) so I’m not ruling out CGI enhanced celebs all together.

Can you do one of Lindsey stirling? And for the story can it be a guy trying to learn Violin but he cant seem to focus he even tried hot female teachers but it didnt work then he gets a male teacher than he starts focusing and wanting to please the teacher he becomes a sissy sorry its a long request
Sounds fun, sure thing!

Hi big fan and I think you’ve been doing amazing work. Is there anyway you could do a story about a guy who loses a bet to sorority girl and is forced to get his nails painted and turned into a girl? I love the idea of having a boys nails painted against his will. I’d love one with Selena Gomez but if you think another celeb would be better I leave that cumpletely to you.
Totally! This sounds fun. :D

I was thinking maybe Nikki Glaser, she so funny and sexy. Thanks can’t wait to see all your new stuff!!

Hi big fan of your caps!! Do you think you could do a cap where a football player wants to go to the NFL but gets hurt, so they turn him into a female commentator, maybe Lauren Rutledge? If you don’t know her, she’s been a college football reporter for awhile and was also a former Miss Florida. Anyways I just think any guy would be lucky to be turned into her and I love your caps keep up the great work!!
Me: *googles Lauren Rutledge to see if it’s who I’m thinking of* How do I know who this is? Anyways, yes I can write this. :)
...for some reason there are no GIFs of her though so I’m just gonna move on.

Hi I'm the one that requested the LONG list of celebs I'm still really sorry about that I didnt realize how many it actually was till I looked back so I wanna retract some for your sake tell ya what if you havent done any already just do the ones that are specifically marked (as in the ones detailed by movie or show theyre in) the ones that are just names you can leave out i knoe its still alot but hopefully that takes some weight off of ya sorry again
You don’t have to be sorry! Like I said, in the future I’d ask that folks limit requests to no more than 3 celebs at a time but you didn’t know that. I’d never said that before. I typed up every celebrity and they’re going to be sprinkled in during June. Hope you like them! :)

Hey, not really an ask, but something I needed to share
I'm the one that asked for the Stephanie Beatriz caption from a whole back, and I absolutely loved how it turned out. Each time you roll out a new caption is like a small thrill to me and I read them right as they're released.
Now this wouldn't be an ask if I wasn't asking something, right? Well, next month sees the release of the "In the Heights" movie, and there's an opportunity there to do a series of captions using stephanie Beatriz from that same movie.
In conclusion, I love your captions so much, you're amazing!
Awww, this is such a sweet message. Thank you! And YAAASSSSS! Ever since the first trailer for In the Heights dropped I was like, “I must write a caption with her in this!” So you can imagine how fun it’s been waiting this entire time. *eye twitches*. We’ll have to wait until the movie comes out for me to be sure I can find a good image but this IS a caption I want to write. :)

Hi I just recently came across your blog and fell in love with it!! The caption with the football player being turned into Bella Thorne is one of my favorites!! I’d love so much if you could do a sequel or something to that cap it was so amazing and I need to know what else happens to “her”. I’m not sure if this is possible or if you even do sequels but this cap was great and I look forward to all the others!!!
Glad you like it! I’m always looking for sequel captions to write on Throwback Thursday so you’ll get this for sure. :)

How about instead of removing the captions with Demi in them ,the images of Demi were just replaced with another celeb and if Demi is mentioned by name in the caption then that could be edited  to mention a different celeb. I respect Demi's decision I do but lets not lose some well made captions. Also if you could please make a caption where Amy Adams feminises a fan and raises them as her daughter and Kristen Stewart makes you her submissive wife that would be appreciated. I'm a fan of them.
So about the Demi Lovato captions: I understand your feelings but I’m still going to delete the original captions. Because of how my captions are made I can’t just go back in & swap out an image or edit the text, I have to remake it from the ground up. I am hoping to do that with some (maybe all) of the Demi Lovato captions & re-publish them, but I’m still going to delete the originals.
I can do the Kristen Stewart one for sure and I’ll TRY to do the Amy Adams one I just am not 100% sure I can find a pic for that but we’ll see. :)

If it’s possible before your summer hiatus could you do a caption with Amanda Crew (silicon valley, sex drive)?
I will do one with Amanda Crew but I can’t commit to doing it before the hiatus.
Tumblr media
About the hiatus: I don’t know when it’s going to be. I want to TRY to make it to at least July 18th because I have a specific game in mind I want to post for 5 years of Celebrity TG Captions games, but after that I have no idea. I’ve been writing caps for a longer stretch of time since normal since I’ve switched to a part-time blog so I might burn out at any second but for right now I’ve still got some juice.

Light In the Darkness:69
Summary: Yami Sukehiro just wanted to join the Magic Knights and make his mentor proud.  He knew there would be trails.  He knew trouble would come his way.  Knew he would be faced with discrimination for being a foreigner and a peasant.  What he didn’t know.  Didn’t expect.  Was that literal Chaos would come his way.  That he and his mentor’s sister would be at the center of world ending trouble.  Or that he would fall in love with his mentor’s sister and face more than discrimination; but the jealously of Nozel Silva who loved the same woman he did.
Please remember this fic is rated mature and has warnings of violence, abuse, sexual tension, eventual sexual behavior, and other possible triggers.  For a full list of story tags please check the fics AO3 (link to that at the top of my tumblrs homepage).
NOTES: No one mentioned any need for markers to avoid the assault scene with the intention of sexual assault and rape.  So that made it easy to format to html for ao3.
***Also I'm seriously considering participating in No Content November.  While I have some super amazing regular and occasional commenters for this fic, it's really disheartening to see yet another fellow writer friend give up posting for lack of feedback.  Yes we write for ourselves.  And I'm sure that friend won't stop writing.  But we post to interact with readers and fellow manga/anime fans.  Just because the content the you read is free doesn't mean it didn't cost the author time and effort to write it.  We're not machines.  We have lives and feelings.
Readers pay for content with enthusiasm, feedback, questions, a simple thank you, or smash of the keyboard.  PLEASE interact with your content creators!  You have no idea what hearing from you means to us.
Anyway, I have a couple more weeks to decide though I'm leaning to yes.  Not just to support my fellow writer friends, but because the feedback on some of my BNHA fics is less than 1% hits to comments and I'm seriously considering a full stop on posting those.  Not only will this break give me a chance to decide if I want to continue or stop posting my BNHA stuff but it will also give me a chance to get further ahead on writing this fic as I really do like the large buffer I have between the chapter I'm posting and what I have finished.***
Chapter 69
Teris paused and looked in the direction that Jax, Gendry, and Quince had set off in at first light.  The three had continued to travel with them two days after Jamie and his team had splintered off.  They had entered the Diamond Kingdom a week ago. And by Zara’s reckoning they were three to four days out from Morris’ seat of power. Teris just hoped that the Wizard King was right.  That their getting there was really going to end this mess. Otherwise it was going to get ugly fast.
Though they had a hard go.  Setting a pace each day that left them exhausted and dreading the morning. Teris knew they were the lucky ones, with thus far the much easier task.  She worried about Yami, Julius, and her friends.  She worried about all the Magic Knights.  Nozel, she, and the rest were so close to achieving their goal.  If they failed now all the others efforts to the southeast and southwest would be for not.  No doubt there were horrible injuries, if not a few deaths by now.  Teris shook her head.  No.  She couldn’t allow herself to think on such things.  Not here and now.  She’d go mad with it all, wondering how Yami, Julius, and the others she held dear were doing.
At least Teris knew Yami was still alive.  She turned back to the southeast.  Even from such a great distance she could clearly sense his mana. It was as if in place of them being able to trust letting their mana feed off each others they had been left with the ability sense the others mana no matter the distance.  It was probably because their mana was so turbulent that she could sense his from so afar.
While Teris had mourned the lost of their ability to boost each others mana; preferring it over this ability to sense Yami’s mana no matter the distance. She now found herself grateful for it. She may not know exactly what state Yami was in.  But she knew he was alive. That she would see him again.  And be able to hold him and feel his arms around her.
Reaching the point Teris had descended to, Nozel came beside her.  Wordlessly, he held out a water skin.
Teris shook her head.
“Drink. You need to stay hydrated.”  Nozel told.
Teris wasn’t sure it was an order; but she pretended it was and took the skin.  She drank deeply, not having realized how thirsty she was. Cold as the nights were.  The days were baking and brutal.  It was late September.  How was it still so hot?
Satisfied by Teris’ drinking, Nozel nodded slightly and surveyed the landscape below.  “Zara’s map showed a creek on the other side of that hill.”
“If I never see another rocky hill again I’d be happy.”  Teris muttered.
Nozel smirked, dryly.  “You and me both.  This would be so much quicker and easier if we could use our magic.”
Teris looked at him hopefully.  “Can we?  Please!”
Nozel shook his head.
“You’re the Captain.”  She argued.
Nozel huffed.  That had been the first playful comment she had made toward him since the incident with Jamie on the cliff.
“Even Captain's have orders to obey.”  Nozel reminded.
“Fine.” Teris sighed, handing him back the water skin.
From the corner of her eye Teris watched Nozel take a drink without first cleaning the spigot as he did when forced to share with anyone else.  So he still liked her, she thought sadly.  She had hoped all that would have changed after the dreadful encounter with the kiss.  Or after he had seen how well Yami and she got on after having been together for nearly ten months.  Teris blinked at that, realizing just how long Yami and she had been together.
“You alright?”  Nozel asked, seeing her expression change.
Teris blinked again, shooing away her thoughts.  “Yeah.  Fine.”
“You sure?”  Nozel pressed.
The acting Captain glanced at her unbuttoned blouse, faint scarring still visible on the flat of her chest.  He didn’t doubt that Teris was at full strength.  They wouldn’t have allowed her be out here if she wasn’t.  Nevertheless, Nozel couldn’t help but worry about her.  Concerned over the quick pace he was having them travel.  He wondered about Teris’ thoughts and emotional state too.  Being back in the field after what she had been through on the Summer Solstice.
Teris tapped down her annoyance at his obvious concern and gave him an overly sweet smile. “Yes, Captain.  I’m sure.”
Nozel looked her over realizing he had once again pressed the boundaries of proper Captaincy and strayed into being a friend and Intended.  His lips twitched, angry at his failing.
His tempter bled into his words as he said, more harshly then intended. “Then get going.  We still have a long way to travel before we reach the proposed camp.”
Teris did as he said, wondering what would happen if it got too dark before they reached the predetermined locations.  Without Jax or Jamie it would completely be on Nozel to decide.  Knowing Nozel, he’d likely make them press on unless the way, weather, or lack of celestial light made progress too treacherous.
They reached the bottom of the hill, Fuegoleon and Zara waiting between the one they had just descended and the one yet to be climbed.
“What’s the hold up?”  Nozel asked, stepping beside his Vice Captain.
“I swore I saw something.”  Fuegoleon said, eyes searching the barren landscape.
Nozel knew better than to suggest an animal.  Fuegoleon could at times be overly cautious; but he wouldn’t delay their progress if he didn’t feel real concern.
“Where’s Randall?”  Teris asked, her eyes and Nozel’s joining Fuegoleon’s and Zara’s in looking for sign of movement.
“I sent him to scout on ahead.”  Fuegoleon answered.
“Using his air magic?”  Nozel questioned.
Fuegoleon nodded and apologized.  “Sorry Captain.  I know we were instructed not--”
“No.” Nozel cut off his Vice Captain’s words.  “If you saw something. It’s best we know quickly and without calling further attention to ourselves stumbling about.”
Fuegoleon relaxed a bit at Nozel understanding.
“Is it possible that these are some of the men you use to run ore with?”  Teris questioned Zara, eyes still searching for color or movement.
Zara shook his head.  “None that I worked with.  It’s the rainy season further north.  Soon after the ground will freeze over.  These are the few months we spent at home.  There were others though.  Those not working--”  He cleared his throat knowing better then to admit that the Clover Kingdom employed people to bring ore from the north through the Diamond Kingdom.  “During this time they switched from smuggling ore to other things.”
“Such as?”  Nozel question.
“Anything profitable really.”  Zara answered.  “Many did that sort of thing all year if they had a gang skilled enough and willing to take the risks it brought.”
“Name a few of these other so called profitable things.”  Nozel commanded, blue eyes narrowing as they surveyed the surrounding hills.  They were in the worst possible location.  Sandwiched between two hillsides with not even a boulder or scrub bush as cover.
Zara shrugged.  “Food.  Magical items.  Labor.”
“People?” Fuegoleon questioned, making sure he understood correctly.
Zara nodded.
Nozel sneered.  “Slave traders.”
Zara blinked thinking he had already warned his Captain and team of this. “Did I not mention--”
“Shut up.”  Nozel commanded Zara, readying his magic as he watched and waited.
Teris glanced from Nozel to Zara and back.  “This isn’t his--”
“Not now.”  Nozel softly barked.
They heard small rocks being disturbed.
“Where’s Randall?”  Fuegoleon asked, more to himself.  He silently cursed. Had he just sent his friend to his death?
Randall appeared at the top of the hill.  Fuegoleon released the breath he’d been holding.
Nozel knew better than to relax.  Something wasn’t right.  That’s when someone else appeared beside Randall.  Tendrils of mercury formed around Nozel, ready to fight.
Fire blossomed from Fuegoleon’s hands.
“I can get to him.”  Teris said, fairly certain she could control her light travel enough not to permanently blind Randall.
Nozel knew what she meant.  Even if light travel didn’t take so much out of her, they still didn’t know the situation well enough.  Even if it was anyone other than Teris, he still wouldn’t have allowed it.
“No.” Nozel told her.
Teris’ hand glowed as she aimed at Randall’s captor.
“Not unless he makes a move or I give the word.”  Nozel told his team.
“Magic Knights.”  Another voice called from behind them.
Nozel cursed.  He and Teris spun around while Fuegoleon and Zara kept watch on Randall and his captor.
“Stand down.  You’re surrounded.  And so heavily out numbered that I almost feel sorry for you.”  The voice said.
Fuegoleon glanced at Nozel.  He didn’t want to give up yet; but would follow his Captain's lead.
Nozel waited, calculating what to do.  He could rain down mercury; but if there were foes on both hills it wouldn’t be a dense shower.  If the man was telling the truth about his numbers, without knowing where they were hiding, Nozel could miss a large portion of them.  Even if the man was lying and Nozel was able to take most of them out; not knowing where they were and the wide dispersion of rain would likely leave many still able to move or attack. His mercury rain was dense and capable of poisoning.  But if injury was only a small open wound it would take time for the effects for poisoning to incapacitate.
“Watch Randall and the one that has him.”  Nozel ordered Fuegoleon. “Teris.  Zara.  Be ready for my word.”
Zara turned his focus back to the hill they had just come down.  Teris switched her aim to the man that had spoken to them.
The man wasn’t standing too far from where Nozel and Teris had stopped and talked.  Nozel remembered a gouge in the rocky hill face not far from that area, big enough to hide six or eight.  He wondered how many such chasms scarred the hill; no longer thinking them natural, but created by these people for this very reason.
“Your bravery will get you and your people killed.  Killing you will mean me and mine don’t get paid.  Those who serve the Beast must always be paid.”  The man said, referring to himself in the third person.
“Then let us continue on our way.  We’d rather die than surrender to the likes of you.”  Nozel said.
Beast gave a humored smile.  “The likes of me?  Now you’ve gone and hurt my feelings Magic Knight.  You don’t even know me.  Fine.”  He sighed.  “I’ll show you what you’re up against.  Just how futile fighting is.  Half of you stand.”
Nozel’s eyes widened at the force before him.  Even if the man was blustering and this was all of his force; it was still a good sixty to seventy people.
“Stand down.”  Nozel told the others.
Facing thirty plus on the hill Randall was on, Fuegoleon did as his Captain told.  Zara followed suit.
“We can take them.”  Teris said.
Fuegoleon glanced at her, angry that she was once again challenging their Captain.  That’s when he saw the numbers on the hill Nozel, she, and Zara were facing.
“Stand down, Teris.”  Fuegoleon told.
His voice made her turn.  Seeing the numbers on her cousins side, Teris lowered her hand, the glow of light fading.
“That’s so unfair it’s not even funny.”  Teris ground out in complaint about the near hundred scattered about on the two hills.
“We’ll get out of this.”  Nozel swore to them, softly.  “We just have to survive to be able to do so.”  He turned back to Beast and called. “Well?”
“All your people.” Beast said.
Nozel’s brow furrowed.  His eyes darted over to Teris, Fuegoleon, and Zara making sure they all had obeyed his command.  He glanced back at Randall who still stood captive at the top of the hill.
“This is all my people.”  Nozel said.
The Beast pointed.  “Don’t lie to me!  You think having them travel hidden and separate will keep them safe?”
“There is no one else.”  Nozel told, wondering what kind of game the man was playing at.  Maybe he had some kind of vendetta against Magic Knights and simply wanted a reason to kill them?  But why then give them the option of standing down?
Thirty meters away an Invisibility Mage muttered.  “This isn’t good.”
The Gravity Mage with her suggested.  “Make Teris invisible and I’ll make her float up out of harms way.  She’s the one that matters. We can just let the others die.”
“We’re tasked to protect her.  What you’re suggesting would put her in danger.”  The Invisibility Mage whispered back, harshly.
“In more danger than she’s already in?”  The Gravity Mage retorted.
“No one’s attacking right now.  If we do as you suggest they will be. Can you guarantee that she won’t get hit in the crossfire and killed?”  The Invisibility Mage questioned
“This is a mess.”  The Gravity Mage rumbled.
“I told you not to hover so close, Daryin.”
“So this is my fault?”  Daryin asked.
“In a way, yes.  If we hadn’t followed so close they might not know we were here.”
“But Teris would still be captured, Gwen.”
“But we’d still be free to watch over and protect her, unnoticed and unchallenged.  I’m making us visible.”
“What! Gwen!  No!”
All eyes turned to the two newly appeared mages.
“That’s better.”  Beast smiled.
Beast, along with several others, jumped; his Air Mage depositing them safely before the Magic Knights.  Others lept and landed around their other two prey.
Beast grabbed Nozel by the throat and lifted him up.  “You’ll pay for lying to me, Magic Knight.”
Teris made for him.  “Stop it!”
Fuegoleon reached to stop her; but was too slow.  Beast released Nozel, who crumpled to the ground coughing and sucking in lungfuls of air.  Beast grabbed Teris by the arm, pulling her to him.
Teris knew she wasn’t strong enough to pull away.  Instead she allowed her feet to follow the direction she was yanked, using the added momentum.  Her knee rose and smashed Beasts in the groin with all the power she could physically muster.  Only her knee hit something hard and solid that made her jerk and wince in pain.
Teris wobbled on her still good leg, held up by her arm by Beast.
With a huff, Beast smirked down at her.  “Think you’re the first wild one to try such a thing?  I learned long ago to protect my favorite weapon against women such as you.”  He leered over her, getting in her face.  “In fact I may just use that weapon on you later.  Take a sample to better know the worth of what I’m selling.”
“Leave her alone!”  Nozel pushed to his feet, only to be kicked back down by one of Beast’s men.
Fuegoleon and Zara stepped toward Beast, only to be halted when the man standing over Nozel kicked him for every step they took.
Teris spat at the Beast.  “I’d kill myself before I let you near me. You think you’re the worst I’ve faced?”
Beast hooted.  “You are a feisty one! Aren’t you!  I like that!” He got back in her face.  “I may just keep you and break you myself.”
With great effort Fuegoleon kept his temper.  Seeking to inform and divert the mans attention away from Teris, he said.  “They’re not with us.”
Beast looked over at him.  He pushed Teris roughly away and stepped toward Fuegoleon.
Nozel barely caught Teris before her head hit a gagged rock.
“What’s that?”  Beast asked.
Fuegoleon looked up at Beast refusing to be intimated.  The name, though not creative, suited the man.  Beast had to be nearly seven feet tall. He was built like a mountain, his muscles seeming to have muscles.  Though Fuegoleon had seen a number of men who were bigger than Tobin Giantsbane and Yami Sukehiro, he had never seen a person that made the two Black Bulls seem small.  Till now.
“I said, they are not with us.”  Fuegoleon repeated, wondering who the two were and how long they had been secretly following them.  His first thought upon seeing them was that they were Magic Warriors or some sort of spy's working for the Diamond Kingdom.  But that didn’t seem right.  “If you look, you’ll see they’re not wearing Magic Knights cloaks.  I know you think they were traveling hidden and separate to keep them safe.  But, we didn’t know they were there.”
Beast looked back between the two groups and laughed.  “And here I thought the Clover Kingdoms Magic Knights were suppose to be elite mages.  You got caught in our trap and were being followed by those two and didn’t see any of it coming!”
Beast roared with amusement, his people following suit.  Their mocking laughter echoed off the hills.  Teris looked spitefully up at them. If only she could control her magic well enough to incinerate them all without turning her comrades to ash.  She had done it at the Battle at the Border and on three other occasions; but that had been before the Summer Solstice.  Before her mana had been churned into a raging, never ending whirlwind that she had to keep tightly harnessed at all times.  It left her feeling angry and ashamed that she couldn’t protect her squad members and friends, and get them out of this.
“Don’t feel so down on yourself Magic Knights.  I can’t speak for your stalkers over there, but us...  No one, no matter how good, would’ve seen the trap we laid.”  Beast said.  “We’ve got this gig down. Still, we’ve never once caught us a group Magic Knights.  There’s going to be a bidding war for the lot of you.  Get ready for the best payday you’ve ever seen boys and girls!”
The surrounding gang of mages cheered.
Nozel gripped Teris’ arm as he surveyed the surrounding enemy.  He was Captain.  This was on him.  Anything that happened to them was his doing.
“You don’t do anything unless I say.”  He whispered to Teris.
Teris’ eyes turned to him.  “What if--”
“That’s an order.”  Nozel rasped, harshly.
After the attention Teris had already drawn to herself, Nozel wasn’t about to let her attempt something that would further these people’s attention and aggression toward her.  As much as the thought angered and disgusted him, Teris was in the most danger here.  Men like this didn’t respect a ladies honor.  Their Leader had already threatened as much.
Nozel would never allow such a thing to happen.  He was sure Fuegoleon, Randall, and Zara felt the same.  They’d fight to the death before they’d let something like that happen to Teris.  Just the thought that someone had dared to threaten her with such a thing filled him with such rage that his hands clenched.
“Nozel.” Teris winced.
He looked at her then followed her gaze.  His bruised throat throbbed even more as he struggled to swallow a swell of new emotions.  He quickly opened his hand, releasing her arm to find a red print marring her skin where he had held her.  “I’m--”
“Button up.”  Fuegoleon whispered, lips barely moving as Beast stepped over to survey the two that had been following them.
Fuegoleon trusted Randall and Zara enough to not look at his cousin in such a way.  But men like this, even if Teris was covered up completely, would still stare and desire.
With slightly trembling hands, Teris did has her cousin instructed.  The scars on her chest were still slightly visible under certain light but hiding them didn’t when faced with the heat of day.  She would've taken off the thin over blouse, leaving her in just a tank top, if it hadn’t provided some sort of protection from the sun.
“We won’t let anything happen to you.”  Zara promised her.
Staring at the two that had been following the Magic Knights, one of the gang members asked.  “Are you sure you believe they aren’t with them? Could be that they’re nobility and the Magic Knights are protecting them.”
“Look at them.”  Beast gestured to the two.  “Even if they weren’t dressed like that, they don’t have the right look about them.”
“The right look?”  The gang member questioned.
“Their hands.  Their eyes.”  Beast made his way back to the Magic Knights and pointed at Nozel and Fuegoleon.  “I reckon those two are nobility.  The girl has the right glare and attitude too.  If it wasn’t for her hands, I’d have guessed she was high class as well.  But there’s no way a fine noble lady would have hands like those.”
Teris scowled, fighting the urge to look at her hands.  What was wrong with them?  So it had been almost a year since Mistress had forced a manicure on her.  But were her nails really that bad and different from Fuegoleon and Nozel’s?
Beast looked her over.  He didn’t know what he had said to garner such a hate filled look from her,  likely just continuing to exist was enough.  The girl certainly had the hateful, haughty eyes and bearing of a noble.  Maybe she had been one once or her house was near its end.  Or maybe she had picked up the behaviors of the two noblemen she traveled with.  Maybe one, or both of them, were grooming her as their courtesan.  No.  That didn’t sound right.  If either of these two men had such designs on her, they’d make sure she was taken care of and looked the part.  No man, even a prissy noble, liked their hands to be prettier than their woman's.  Though there did seem to be a curious dynamic between the girl and two nobles.
No matter, Beast thought.  If he were interested in a persons life story he would be doing something different.  He looked up to where his man was holding the other Magic Knight.  “Do it!”
The Magic Knights in front of him turned in time to seen their comrade fall to the ground.  Before they could react Beast’s people knocked them out as was.  He looked over at the other two that had been following the Magic Knights.  “Anything more you want to say before we put you go to sleep too?”
“Our Master will not stand for this!”  Daryin yelled, unwilling to be hushed by his companion.  “You’ve made a grave mistake!”
Beast laughed, his people following suit.  “And who is your Master?  Tell me of his fearsome accomplishments.”
“He is Death himself.”  Daryin said, lifting his chin proudly
Beast stopped at that.  There was only one man he knew that was referred to in such a way.
“Pip.” Beast called to his second in command.
Pip stepped forward, her long hair tangling in the wind as she came beside him.  “Boss?”
Beast nodded to two of his people, silently ordering them to knock out the tag-alongs.
The two Agents of Chaos crumpled to the ground.
Beast lifted his hand, giving his gang the signal to wrap it up and move out.  A few others came down to help pick up and take away their haul.
“See that the Magic Knights and those two are put in different cell blocks.  Then put the word out with our contacts.  Let it be known we have a man and woman claiming to belong to the Agents of Chaos.  Say that they were following a team of Magic Knights.  And that we will wait three days before putting them on the market just in case the Master of Chaos has an interest or wishes to claim any of them.”
“Sure thing, Boss.”  Pip nodded.
Beast looked around at his people.  Raising his voice so the gang could hear, he ordered.  “No one harms the men or touches either of the women.  They may not be ours to toy with just yet.”  He heard some of his men grumble and complain, and told.  “Either way, you can be sure we’ll get paid a pretty sum for them.”
He wondered what two Agents of Chaos were doing following a squad of Magic Knights.  That was if they had been telling the truth.  But if they knew of the Master of Chaos, then they would know he was not someone to be mentioned so casually, even in the hope of freedom. There were far worse things than being sold into indentured servitude if caught misusing the Master of Chaos’ name.  And pretending to be in league with him when not would see those worse things come to pass.
69.2
It had been four days since Mereoleona let Yami back on the front lines of the battlefield.  Still, the Crimson Lions Captain had continued to watch him closely.  Yami could feel the Vermilion’s eyes on him as he fought, making sure that he stayed in line.
The fearsome Lioness could watch him all she liked, Yami thought.  He had learned his lesson and learned it well.  He was not someone who sat back and cared for returning fighters.  He didn’t have the temperament or emotional aptitude for it.  Because of that he had made a whole host of new enemies among his fellow Magic Knights; having thrown them water skins from afar which had smacked them in the face, or simply told them to get their own damned refreshment. His eyes had never left the battlefield the entire time he had been back there.  Those two long, seemingly endless days of not fighting alongside his fellows had killed him.
Returning from the front line, Yami collapsed under the shade of a tree, accepting the water skin that was handed to him.
Sitting a few paces away, Mereoleona commented.  “You’re doing well out there.  Never stepped out of line once.”
Yami said nothing.  Though still on the lookout for the Smoke Mage Lotus Whomalt, he had stopped actively searching for him.  He sighed, grateful that Teris’ cousin had let him back out to fight.  He wasn’t about to ruin it by speaking up.  Just give him a hour or two of rest and he’d be ready to go out there again.
The Crimson Lions Captain got to her feet.  She had to report to Commander Greywright.  “Rest up.  We go again in four hours.”
“War is stupid.”  Yami grumbled.
Mereoleona looked down at him.  “Don’t tell me you were one of those idiots that thought it glorious.” “No.”  Yami said.  He might not be the smartest person around; but only a fool would think war was glorious.  “Still, I didn’t think it was like this.”
“It’s not.”  Mereoleona confessed.  “Not really.  Remember.  We’re only fighting as a distraction.  If this were a real war without trying for peace, it’d be different.  Though no less stupid. Battles are fun and may have meaning.  Wars.”  She shook her head and sighed.  “They’re nothing but foolish endeavors no matter how noble the cause.”
Yami made a face of disgust.  The reason for this particular war was certainly foolish and far from noble.
“Get some rest.  That’s an order.”  Mereoleona told him, walking off.
Yami wasn’t the best at following orders; but currently that was a command he had no trouble obeying.  He laid back on the dusty, packed earth.  Stretching out, he closed his eyes.  As usual when he had a moment of peace to himself, his thoughts drifted to Teris.
His sense of her mana told him she was alive.  But that didn’t mean she was safe.  Then again she was traveling with two men who loved and adored her nearly as much as he did.  He trusted Nozel and Fuegoleon. Knew the two men were highly capable.  Between Teris herself, Nozel, and Fuegoleon; Yami was confidant that no harm would come to her.
Yami recalled his birthday before the Crimson Lion and Silver Eagle arrived.  He hadn’t meant to take things so far that morning.  But could anyone blame him?  He could still hardly believe Teris’ boldness.  Referring to herself as his gift.  Not that he hadn’t liked it.  He had liked it a bit too much as the resulting outcome had proved.  What he had liked even more was that Teris felt comfortable and free enough with him to show such a side of herself. Yami growled, his thoughts sending his blood south.
Eyes closed, hands laced behind his head, Yami drowsily told his growing erection.  “I’ll beat you later.  Just let me rest.  And, no. I’m not talking to you.”  He told, sensing Bronn’s presence.
“Didn’t think you were.”  Bronn said, sitting a couple meters away with a tired grunt.  “I think every man here is telling their spear pretty much the same.  Why do you think so many little ones are born nine or so months after peace is made?  Not that you’ll be doing any of that.  You got yourself a fine bred lady and will have to wait. Won’t you?  That’s if she’s good on her word and doesn’t end up wedding that royal brat like she’s told.”
Yami opened an eye and looked at the Vice Captain.
“I could introduce you to some clean lass’ who know how to keep quiet about their dealings.”  Bronn offered.  “Black Sheep need never know.  I’ll even pay for your first go.  Consider it thanks for saving my ass out there this morning.”
The offer was so ludicrous it didn’t even bare response.  Yami closed his eye.
“Come on, kid.”  Bronn urged, sitting forward.  “If it all works out with Black Sheep the way you’re hoping, you’re gonna need some sort of experience.  I’ve been in the baths when you’re there. That thing you’re packing will do more than scare the girl. It’ll--”
Yami’s eyes flashed open.  He sat up, hand on the hilt of his katana.
Bronn held up his hands.  “Got it!  Got it!  No talk of sex talk where Black Sheep’s involved.  Geesh, you really do got a temper.  Don’t you.”
Yami slowly released the blades hilt.  Laying back down, he grumbled.  “I liked it better when you hated me.”
“Don’t get me wrong, Boy.  I still hate your troublesome, disrespectful ass. I certainly still think you’re making a big mistake pursuing that girl.  Whether she’s willing to give it all up or not.  Royals are nothing but trouble.  Black Sheep even more so.  Look at the mess you’re in with these zealots and the folk hired to kill you.”
Yami didn’t respond.  He didn’t care one lick what Bronn thought.  He only wished he hadn’t stepped in to help the Vice Captain, and instead left him to die.  Then Bronn wouldn’t be here bothering him, trying to figure out a way to repay him.  It didn’t matter that supporting and defending each other was what Magic Knights did. This was the two of them.  Yami had saved Bronn’s life; and Bronn couldn’t go on feeling he owed Yami his life.  The debt had to be paid.
Annoyed, Yami gritted his teeth.  “You want to thank me.  Go.  Away.”
Bronn looked at him out of the corner of his eye.  Was the young man that stupid?  That’s not how this sort of thing worked.  Yami had put himself at risk to help and save him.  In order to clear the debt, Bronn would either have to do the same or provide a service of great cost.  The woman he had in mind to service Yami was certainly that. Most of her clients were nobles, with a few wealthy merchants here and there.  Before Gilly, he had occasionally visited her.  The woman, looking for a good dirty romp without weak men or creepy kinks, use to call upon and take him without fee.  It had certainly been a boost to his ego.
“What’s with that face?”  Yami asked.
Bronn turned to the younger man, mind clearing of lewd memories.  “What’s that?”
“You look proud.  Almost—happy.  It’s creepy.  Stop it.”
Bronn picked up a small rock and threw it at him.  “Shut up!  I’m happy a lot.”
“When? I’ve never seen you happy.”  Yami quipped
“That’s because you’re around and you piss me off.”  Bronn said, throwing another rock.
The two started when rock passed through Yami.
“What are you doing.”  Bronn demanded.  He got to his feet knowing it wasn’t Yami.
Yami stood as well, hand instinctively gripping the hilt of his katana. “It’s not me.”
“Shut up and step through the portal.”  Bronn snapped, recognizing a different form of transportation magic.
Yami growled but did as he was told.  Bronn spun around, looking across the camp to where he had sent him.  He cursed seeing that it hadn’t work.  Yami was still fading.
Yami appearing in front of him, Bran blinked in surprise eyes clearing. The bees he was controlling to listen in on the enemies plans released from his hold.  “Yami!  What are you--”  His head pulled back, brows furrowing.  “You look weird.  What’s the matter?”
Yami looked down at his hands.  He could see through them now.  Despite that, he could still feel himself.  He was still able to grip his blade.  Bran stood, the both of them seeming to have the same idea. The two reached out trying to grasp the others arm.  Bran’s hand passed through Yami’s forearm.  Yami’s hand doing the same with Bran’s.
Yami continued to fade.  At this rate it wouldn’t be much longer before he completely disappeared.
“Captain Heath!”  Bran yelled, worry taking over his voice.
Bronn stepped through a portal with someone in tow.  He slapped Bran’s head.  “Quit screaming.  That singing fool can’t do anything about this.”  He said of the Purple Orcas Captain.
Yami stepped back when the woman that had arrived with Bronn stepped into his space.
“Let her do her thing!  She’s scenting you.”  Bronn snapped at Yami.
Yami frowned, but stayed put.  He looked down at the woman as she stuck her face into his chest taking long, deep breaths through her nose. Though he couldn’t physically feel her face passing through his chest; it was still a weird feeling.
“Hurry it up, lass.”  Bronn urged.
The transport was nearly complete.  Yami nothing more than a faint ghost.
“Done!” The woman declared.
Bronn felt a wave of relief wash over him.  As Yami disappeared, he swore. “We’ll find you.”
“Where is he!  What was that?”  Bran exclaimed.
Bronn frowned.  “Dimensional travel.  Only a few types of magic can even track it.  Lucky for us, such travel couldn’t have taken him far. We’ll have you look from the sky, and Etta here try to sniff him out.  But first, go inform Greywright and Mereoleona what’s happened.  Tell them we’ll need someone capable of busting their way in once we find him.”
Bran stepped to the Black Bulls Vice Captain.  “I want--”
Bronn grabbed Bran by the shirt collar.  “I don’t give a damn what you want, boy!  Now get!”  He shoved Bran in the direction of the Magic Knights Commanders tent.
Heath arrived, having hear Bran's call.  “I know you’re his Vice Captain but--”
“Not now, Bard!”  Bronn snapped.  “They got the Lord of Destruction. Again.”
Heath straightened at that.  “Who?  Surely not the Agents of Chaos again.”
“I don’t know who.  Muscle Head has all sorts after him.”  Bronn said, snidely.
The Captain noted Bronn’s weakened mana.  “At least let me help you out.  Restore you before you go.”
“Fine. Sing us one of your little shanty's and make us feel better.” Bronn allowed.
He might’ve made light of Heath’s magic; but the Purple Orcas Captain was a powerful mage.  And though he’d never say it, Bronn was exceedingly grateful for the mans efforts.  By the end of the short song, Bronn was refreshed, his mana levels back to full.
Looking to Etta, Bronn urged.  “Let’s go lass.  I got a debt to cross off.”
69.3
“Teris. Teris.  Wake up.”
Teris opened her eyes and found herself in an all too frightening familiar situation.  She really had to stop waking up in cells.  If she could just quit being captured all together that would be great.
She touched the base of her skull, wincing at the painful bump that was there.  Blinking, she looked up.  A small smile of relief crossed her face at the sight of Fuegoleon, Nozel, Zara, and Randall.
She looked around, taking in the iron bars.  “You guys okay?”
“That’s what I was about to ask you.”  Nozel said, watching her for sign of injury.
“Got the mana of all headaches.  But I’m good.”  Teris said, sitting up against the bars that adjoined with the boys cell.
She didn’t feel at all reassured that she was being kept in a separate cell from them; and she could see from their expressions and the way they kept on watching the door that they didn’t either.  Teris laid a hand over the belt buckle Yami had given her.  Grateful as she was for it, she hoped she wouldn’t need to use the blade hidden within.
“Has anyone been in?  Said anything?”  Teris asked.
“Zara woke first.  He says it’s been quiet.”  Fuegoleon told.
“Where are the other two?  The cloaked ones that were following us.” Teris wondered.
“That was strange.”  Randall commented.  Though he hadn’t heard much from his captured position at the top of hill, seeing those other two had surprised him.
After Randall woke, Fuegoleon had relayed everything that had been said while he let Nozel think.  Though Fuegoleon would never admit it, he knew Nozel had the better strategic mind.
Fuegoleon and Nozel looked at each other, both wondering the same thing.  The Vermillion turned back to his cousin, Teris’ expression telling him she thought the same.  That the Agents of Chaos or some other interested group had been following them.
Fuegoleon gritted his teeth.  He wondered how long the two tag-alongs had been with them.  If he had failed to notice danger stalking them, how could he hope to protect his cousin and fellows from harm?
The door opened and a man entered.
Fuegoleon fought the urge to make his way closer to Teris’ cell, knowing such an act would only draw further attention to her.
“Magic Knights.”  The man said, setting down a tray of food in front of the men's cell.  He eyed them.  “Not so magical in a mana blocked hold are you?  Beast is taking his time.  Waiting to give first bid of you all to a particularly scary customer.  I almost feel sorry for you if he’s the one who buys you lot.  He’s a real nasty fellow. Slice you all up for parts and throw away the rest he will.”
Teris felt the blood drain from her face.  Is this where Alowishus Spade got the mages for his sick corpse magic?  But what about the two that had been following them?  Were they not Agents of Chaos?  If not, then who were they?  And where were they now?
The man smiled.  “Sorry.  You boys will have to split the meal among the four of you.  I only have two hands.”  He moved and bent in front of Teris’ cell, setting a bowl of gruel on the floor.  “Maybe you’ll be nice enough to share your portion with them.  Are you a nice girl that likes to share?”  He looked her over, licking his lips.  “Want to share with me?  I’ll see you get all the best cuts if you treat me real nice like.”
Teris’ hand drifted back to her belt buckle.  Though she still had her grimoire, it would do her little good in a mana blocked cell.
The man looked back at the door he had come through.  The Magic Knights tensed, none of them liking the feel of this.  Almost as one, Nozel, Fuegoleon, Zara, and Randall reached through the bars when the jailer unlocked Teris’ cell.  They started yelling, both to threaten the man and attract attention of any other guard that could stop this.
Teris pressed back against the shared bars of the guys cell.  The man reached for her.  He managed to grab her leg and tried to pull her away from the adjoining cell.  Teris kicked out with her other leg, knocking him in the jaw.  She pulled her leg back and tucked it under her, squeezing as close to the bars as she could.  If they could make enough noise.  Get someone else to enter, see what was going on, and put a stop to it.
She held onto the bars with one hand, the other free and clasping the hidden weapon within her buckle.  She was tempted to pull the blade out now.  Wanted to threaten the man with it.  But such a thing wouldn’t work.  If anything he’d bring in the weapon he had left outside the cell with the keys.
No. Teris had wait and do exactly as Yami had taught her.  She had to leave the little knife hidden until the moment she had to use it.
The man laughed and tried to grab her leg again.  The reach of her comrades outstretched arms kept him at bay.
Nozel’s hand gripped over Teris’ in effort to secure her hold on the cells bar.  He could see the wild fear in her eyes, which only grew when the man once again managed to grab a hold of her ankle.
Though it had cost the man a good patch of hair and some scraps and bruises, he laughed, not feeling any of it.  Getting a better grip on Teris, he pulled.  Fuegoleon, Randall, and Zara now moved to assist Nozel in holding Teris fast.
The man was able to grip her around the waist now.  He gave one last rough jerk.  The others hold broke.  Teris was slammed against the bars on the opposite side of the cell.  If that hadn’t stunned her, the man adding his weight into the mix as he followed and rammed into her did.
The breath was knocked out of her.  One side of her face screamed, throbbing in pain along area it had met one of the bars.  Teris’ shoulder was grabbed.  Before she could catch her breath, she was spun around.  The other side of her face echoed in pain as she was back handed.  Spots blurred her vision.  It was a struggle to stay calm and remember what Yami had taught her.
The man thought he had won.  He thought that she was some Magic Knight unaccustomed to fighting with anything but magic.  But he was wrong. His arrogance was her strength.  Teris waited a second after he let his guard down.  His lecherous smile sickened as he looked her over.
Teris’ hand once again drifted to her belt buckle.
The mans smile grew.  “You’re one those, huh?  Likes to put up a fight but is all cooperative af--”
His words turned into a cry of alarm and pain as Teris charged him, driving the three inch blade into one of the key areas Yami had instructed her to.  Again and again she hit, the blade puncturing and slicing with every punch she gave to his groin.  Even when she had him against the opposite bars and Nozel was there to wrap an arm around the mans throat, Teris still didn’t stop.
As soon as the man had ripped Teris away, Nozel had taken a step back, frantically searching for weak points in the cells wall.  They couldn’t rely on anyone hearing them and coming it.  And what was to say that whoever came would put an end to this anyway?  The person could just as easily help Teris’ attacker.
Judging where the weakest point was, Nozel had instructed the others and they began pounding themselves against it.  He was pretty sure Fuegoleon had dislocated his shoulder as he had switched sides; but that didn’t matter now.  Together they had loosened the connection point and begun to bend a bar up.
When Nozel saw Teris charge, not stopping till the man was within his reach; he was there to wrap a forearm around the mans neck, gripping his wrist with his other hand.  Blind with rage, Nozel wasn’t going to stop squeezing till he choked the mans life out of him.
The others had managed to lift bend bar enough for the smallest of them to get through.
“Zara! The keys.”  Fuegoleon ordered as the Purple Orca crawled through into Teris’ cell.
But all seemed to stop when Teris fell back crying and bloody.
“Teris!” Zara rushed to her.
Teris pulled away when he neared.
Zara held up his hands.  He glanced at the man.  Seeing him dead, Zara soothed.  “Teris.  It’s okay.  It’s just me.  He’s gone. Dead.  It’s over.  Are—are you okay?”  He felt stupid for asking such a thing.  Of course she wasn’t okay.  “Are you injured?”
Teris touched her face, trying to take stock.
“This blood?”  Zara asked, gently.
At that she shook her head.  She looked down at the small knife she had instinctively slipped back into the belt buckle just the way Yami had taught her.  “It’s—it’s not mine.”
The four male Magic Knights relaxed at that.
“The keys.”  Fuegoleon commanded, again.
This time Zara listened.  As soon as the cell was open, Fuegoleon was through the door and in Teris’ cell.  He scooped her up to her feet with his good arm, the other still dislocated and pinned to his side.
“I got you.  I got you.”  Fuegoleon breathed, hugging her tight.  He looked over her shoulder to Nozel who still held the man in a choke hold.
It was then that Fuegoleon saw what Zara had somehow missed.  The torn fabric and bloodied mess all around the mans groin.  He held Teris tighter, wondering where she had gotten a weapon.  Off her attacker maybe?
Randall placed a hand on his Captain's shoulder.  “He’s dead, sir.  We should get out of here.”
Nozel gave a nod.  Still, he found it difficult to let go of the hold. Slowly, he forced his hand open, releasing his wrist.  The man slumped to the floor.  Pulling his arm back from between the bars, Nozel looked down at the man.
“Sir?” Randall pressed.
With a blink, Nozel forced his mind to focus.  He looked at Fuegoleon, silently inquiring about Teris.  Not that it really mattered.  They had to get out of here whether she was good to move of not.  He saw his friend whisper something to her.
Teris nodded.  She grabbed the Crimson Lions arm, and quickly and efficiently popped his shoulder back into place.
Fuegoleon gritted.  A guttural groan escaped from clenched teeth.
Nozel huffed, realizing what Fuegoleon had asked as a barometer to see if Teris was alright.
Stepping out of the cell, the acting Captain ordered.  “Let’s go.”
69.4
Before Yami managed to cloak his blade in darkness someone grabbed him from behind.  Big mistake, he thought.  Gripping the persons arm with his left hand, Yami threw them over his shoulder.  He twisted the arm till he felt it slide out of place.
The figure below grunted in pain.  Yami lowered his katana to the mans neck.  It was then that Yami saw his attackers face.
Yami halted, though didn’t lift his blade.  “Cin?”
“Yami!” Cin looked up.  He held up the hand of his good arm, staying the gang around them.  “What the hell, man!”
Yami blew a strand of hair out of his eye.  Teris was right.  He really did need a haircut.
Yami took in the surrounding gang.  “Was about to ask you the same.  We good?”
“Yeah. Yeah, we’re good.”  Cin winced, sitting up.  “Stand down everyone.”
Seeing the gangs magical attacks that had been ready strike disperse, Yami relaxed a bit.
Cin looked up at him.  “You mind?”
Yami sheathed his katana.  Holding his hand out to the mans good arm, Yami pulled him up.  As he did so he gripped and popped Cin’s shoulder back into place.
“Son of a--”  Cin shouted.  Some of his people laughed while others looked ready to attack again.  “Damn it!  Your touch is still as gentle as a hammer.”
“Thought I’d gotten better.”  Yami mumbled, mildly chagrined.  Though he hadn’t had as much practice putting joints back into place as he use to.
Cin huffed.  “What are you doing here?”
“What do you mean?  Wasn’t it one of yours that brought me.  I certainly didn’t come willingly.”
“Sorry about that.”  Cin apologized.
Yami looked about at the surrounding mages.  “So you’re running a gang?”
“You could say that, I guess.”  Cin admitted, carefully.  “What about you?  Never thought I’d see you on a battlefield fighting for the Clover Kingdom.”  He looked Yami over.  “A Magic Knight.  When did that happen?”
Yami shrugged.  “Few years back.”
“So, who is she?  Was she worth it?”  Cin asked.
The slight tension that have never left Yami, grew.  “What?”
“The girl who’s father hired us to kill you.”  Cin said, assuming their employer was some girls father.
“Who’s that?”  Yami asked, hoping for a name.  Though he had no doubt who had sent them.
Cin chuckled.  “What?  There’s more than one girl?”
“No. But her father’s dead.  So.”  Yami lifted a shoulder, staring at his old friend.
Cin shook his head.  “I remember when you didn’t have interest or time for girls.  Said they were nothing but trouble and a distraction.”
“Well, she certainly is that.”  Yami admitted.
“Hence why you’re keeping women to the one.”  Cin smirked.
Yami didn’t answer.  Let Cin fill in the blanks however he liked.  Good as it was to see him, Yami didn’t know him anymore.  It had been years since they had last seen each other.  Years since Yami had left the tunneled home that housed a pack of fellow boys who had followed him after he had kicked each of their asses.
A couple of those boys had even doubled up in fights against him.  Cin and Damon had been two of those.  It still hadn’t made a difference.  Yami had laid them out like the rest.  Before he knew it he had a gang answering to him.  Nice as it had been.  He hadn’t wanted it.  Hadn’t asked or demanded any of them follow him. Rather he had done his best to shoo them off.  But they had still followed.  Feeling lost and without purpose, Yami had gotten restless and wandered off one day, never to return.
He had met Julius soon after; and from there his life was changed.  Yami had occasionally wondered what had happened to his pack of friends, but never enough to go back and look for them.
“What happened to you?”  Cin asked.  “One day you were just—gone. You get pinched or something?”
“Or something.”  Yami answered.
Cin glowered.  This was the Yami he remember.  Quiet.  Distant.  Hard to read and difficult to work with.  Which was why he was so surprised to see Yami was a Magic Knight.  Following orders wasn’t Yami’s style.
Yami looked around, wondering if there were any other familiar faces. “The others?  Damon?”
“We all kind of went our own way after you disappeared.  Damon, Rigel, and I stuck together for a while.  Rigel left a couple months back. Got a girl pregnant and wanted to do right by her.”
“And Damon?”  Yami asked, remembering that he and Cin had been inseparable.
“Dead.” Cin answered.
Yami’s lip twitched.  “Damn.”
“Yeah.” Cin said.  He didn’t want to go into further detail.  Yami didn’t deserve it.
“So how much did Nathyn Silva pay you?”  Yami asked.
Cin looked up, knowing without a doubt he had never mentioned a name. Mainly because he didn’t know the name himself.
Working through a broker, Cin never met his clients.  It worked better for all involved that way.  A letter detailing the target, along with half the fee, came in.  He and his gang did the job, and the second half of the pay came in after.  It worked for him.  While he had his ways of figuring out who hired him; he had rarely had a mind to know or need to figure it out.  Nobody had ever tried to stiff him, so he never had reason to put in the effort of learning a clients name.
“I didn’t mention no Silva.”  Cin said.  “I wasn’t even sure I guessed right about it being about a girl.  I just figured it wasn’t a gambling debt.  You were too good at games to wrack up a sum someone was willing to kill you over.”
Yami massaged the tension out of his neck.  “So you’re really not going to tell me, even though I know.”
“Not that I’d tell you if I knew myself.  But I really don’t know.” Cin said.  He looked his long time friend over.  “Sounds like you do though.”
Yami sighed.  “Yeah.  Not that it’ll do me a lot of good.”  He watched Cin a moment.  “How do you want to handle this?”
Cin raised a questioning brow.  “What do you mean?”
Yami looked around at the others still surrounding him.  “Well, you were paid to take me out.”
Cin shook his head.  “Ain’t happening.”
“Come on.”  Yami bolstered.  “You got what?  Fifteen.  Twenty.  At your command.”
Cin shook his head again.  “I saw you on the battlefield from afar.  I had my concerns then.  But a job’s a job.  Now that I know it’s you.  No way.”
“A job’s a job.”  Yami echoed, tempting.
“I thought we left on good terms.  Despite your sudden disappearance.” Cin said.  His anger over Yami leaving without word creeping into his voice.
“We did.”  Yami agreed.
“Then why do you wanna kick my ass?”  Cin questioned.
Yami shrugged.  “For old times sake I guess.”
Cin smirked crookedly and shook his head.  Same old Yami, he thought. “I’ll have you know that I’ve gotten better.  Stronger.”
Yami mirrored the crooked smile.  “So have I.”
“That’s what I’m afraid of.”  Cin chuckled.
Yami finally, fully relaxed.  His sense of Cin’s Ki told him the man meant what he said.  His long ago friend had no interest in trying to collect his pay by finishing the job.
“So, what are you going to do?”  Yami asked.  “You may not know who hired you, but I’m near positive.  Nathyn Silva isn’t someone you want to cross.”
Ignoring the difficult question, Cin looked Yami over.  Despite all the past hurt and anger, it really was good to see him again.  “You should be asking yourself the same.  If it really is that royal bastard calling for your head, you’re in trouble, Yami.  Folk like that don’t like to be thwarted and have all the money in the world to hire more gangs.”
“I know.  This is his second attempt that I’m aware of.”  Yami told.
Cin blinked at that.  “What the hell did you do?”
Yami smirked and shook his head.  “You’d call me a fool if I told you.”
“I’ll call you a fool anyway.”  Cin remarked.  The two stared at each other a moment before Cin offered.  “Come with us.  With me.  Leave this war and the Magic Knights.”
“And run under you?”  Yami asked.
Cin shrugged.  “Could be worse.  You could die out there fighting a soon forgotten war for a prideful, child-like King who will never be grateful and doesn’t even know your name.  Or get caught unawares by the next hired gang sent to kill you.”
Or get pulled into a crazy zealots sick ceremony, Yami thought. “Tempting.  But I can’t.”
“That doesn’t sound like you.  The Yami Sukehiro I knew did whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted.  If he wanted to leave this mess and join me, he would do so without a backwards glance.”
“I would have at that.”  Yami agreed.  “But there’s things you don’t know and would never understand.  Things I barely understand.”
“It’s that girl.  Isn’t it?”  Cin guessed.
“Mostly.” Yami admitted.
“Then we’ll go get her.”
“Now that does sound tempting.”  Yami said.  He wondered if Teris could sense him while he was in this dimensional sphere.  If she couldn’t, he had little doubt that she was going as crazy as he had during the Battle at the Border.  He had to get out of here so she could sense his mana and know he was alright.  He gestured to the surrounding space.  “Can we--”
Understanding, Cin commanded.  “Oliva.”
They were returned to normal space.  Yami looked about.  They were on some barren hilltop overlooking the battlefield that was more than ten kilometers away.  Yami hoped that it was enough.  That Teris would sense him and be alright.
“You won’t come.  Will you?”  Cin said, watching him.
Yami shook his head.  Though it really was a tempting offer, he didn’t feel the least bit torn by saying no.  For the first time since waking up in this strange land, he had a life here in the Clover Kingdom.  And it consisted of more than just Teris.  It didn’t matter that Teris would never go for the life Cin was offering.  Yami didn’t want it either.  He was, dare he say, happy with the life he had made as a Black Bull in the Magic Knights.  And he would be even happier once Bronn was gone, and he and Teris were made co-Vice Captains.
Cin sighed.  “I knew you wouldn’t.  You wouldn’t be out there fighting if you didn’t want to be there.”
“Oh, I rather be almost anywhere than on that battlefield.”  Yami said.
“I meant as a Magic Knight.  In this life you’ve made yourself.”
Yami thought of Teris, Julius, and the Black Bulls.  “You’re right there.”
Cin shook his head and sighed.  “I suppose I’ll just have to let you pay the royal bastard back.  And also pay me and mine the second half we’re due.”
Yami had been afraid of that.  Still, he understood.  “Gotta keep them loyal.”
Cin nodded.
“Do me a favor.”
Cin huffed.  “You mean other then let you buy your life and live?”
“Oh, you’re letting me live now?”
“Shut up!  What do you want?”
Yami grinned, imagining the scene and sight of Lord Silva’s face.  “Let me return the funds.”
“You?” Cin questioned.  “You’re not even positive it’s him.”
“It’s him.”  Yami said.  The only way he could be more certain was if the Silva came forward and confessed.
Cin shook his head.  “Guess you haven’t changed as much as I was beginning to think.  Fine.  You agree to pay us the second half we would’ve received for the job.  And I’ll let you pay the Silva back the first half.  But if you’re wrong you’re paying whoever did hire us his portion back too.”
That sounded reasonable.  Yami held out his hand.
“Crazy bastard.”  Cin muttered, shaking on the deal.
“So how much do I owe you?”  Yami asked.
Cin shook his head.  “Now he asks.”  He muttered.  To Yami, he answered.  “Ten thousand yules.”
“Ten thousand!”  Yami repeated.  He didn’t know whether to be insulted, or upset that this would take all of his savings.
“Twenty thousand yules for your life.  Not a bad payday if it wasn’t you and so much work.”  Cin told.
“Maybe the next gang will demand more.”  Yami complained.
“You really think you’re worth that much?”  Cin questioned, humorously.
“I would've kill you and yours easy.”  Yami told.
“Really? And I suppose that’s what happened to the group before.”  Cin joked.
Yami nodded.  “Exactly.”
“What?” Cin questioned, in disbelief.
“Dead. All of them.”  Yami told, not saying that there had been other Magic Knights backing him up.
Cin blinked.  “All of them you say?”
“All twenty.”  Yami affirmed.
Cin gave a low whistle.  “I’ll spread word of that.  Maybe it’ll make other groups think twice before accepting the job if Silva or anyone else thinks to try again.”
“Don’t. They might demand more pay.  But they’ll still come.  Only they’ll have a better idea what their walking into.  With all that’s going on right now, I’d rather not have to try all that hard fending off gangs of assassins.”
“You mean there’s worse than people being hired to kill you?”  Cin asked, not all that surprised.
“It’s a long story that you don’t care about hearing and I’d rather not get into.”  Yami said.
“Fine.” Cin held out his hand.
Yami clasped his friends hand, firmly.
“Just get that money back to our hire as quick as you can.  Me and mine can wait a bit for our second half.  Let you finish up here before bugging you.”  Cin grinned at him.  “It’ll give us a chance to see each other again.  Maybe have a drink or two and talk about old times.”
“And if I’m wrong?”  Yami asked, not showing how much the thought of meeting Cin again disturbed him.  At least once his old friend got the second half of his pay, they would hopefully have no cause to ever see each other again.
Cin raised an eyebrow.  “Thought you said you were positive.”
“Just in case.  How do I get a hold of you to find and pay the correct person back?”
Cin eyed Yami’s Magic Knights cloak.  “We’ll just get a hold of you all the sooner.”
“That’s comforting.”  Yami muttered.
“Don’t worry.  Once we’re done, I won’t be paying you an friendly visits.”
“Those aren’t the type of visit I’m worried about.”  Yami said, even though he wanted nothing more to do with his old friend.
Cin chuckled.  “Then don’t be wrong.  And don’t go pissing anyone else off.”
Yami huffed.  “No promises there.  Seems all I gotta do is breathe for that to happen.”
“You’re the one who wants to stick around.”  Cin looked at his friend, smiling fondly at the memories seeing Yami brought.  “Hope she’s worth it.”
Yami fought a smile at the thought of Teris.  “She is.  She’s worth it all, and more.”

Beast entered the cell block where the Magic Knights had been held.
“Want us to pursue them?”  Pip asked, by his side.
Beast took in at the mangled cell and corpse, piecing together what had happened.  “No.  They’ve done what was ordered.”
Pip looked up at the towering man.  “Boss?”
“Word came quickly from Death.  We’ll get paid later.”
“But if he wants them...”
“He wanted them released and unharmed.”  Beast said.  He looked down at the dead man in disgust, hoping the girl got away undamaged.  He didn’t know what the Master of Chaos wanted with the Magic Knights; but he didn’t want to experience the mans wrath if they had been injured.  Turning away Beast ordered.  “Have this mess cleaned up. Take that filth out to the pens for the Saber Cats.  They haven’t had a decent meal in a while.”
“Sure thing, Boss.”
“Oh, and put the word out.  We’ll be hosting a gaming battle tomorrow.”
“Boss?”
Beast turned back.  “The two Agents of Chaos.  I was instructed to make their demise as drawn out and painful as possible.  It never goes well when you’ve displeased Death.”
69.6
Once they were free of the compound, Nozel had created an eagle of mercury large enough to carry them all.  He flew at top speed, unconcerned about lasting the day or keeping up his energy for the next.  All he cared about was getting Teris and his team as far away as quickly as possible.  Even so, he had flown in the direction of the Diamond Kingdoms capital.  Despite all that had happened, they still had a mission.  Nozel had flown until he didn’t think his could take it anymore, and then flew some more.
“Captain. Can we stop by that stream and let her get cleaned up?”  Randall asked, from behind him.
Nozel looked back at his squad for the first time since they had taken flight.  His eyes lowered to Teris.  She was covered in dried blood. Though apparently none of it was hers.
Nozel swallowed, struggling to control his emotions.  He noted that though Fuegoleon didn’t hold her, the Crimson Lion hovered protectively over her.
With a nod, Nozel directed the shining silver eagle toward a more sheltered area of the stream.  They had left the dry, rocky landscape behind for a more green, though far from lush, area.  This growth may have afforded them a bit more cover; but it was still bare enough that he felt safe from possible lurking enemies.
The sun was already dipping below the horizon when Nozel had the eagle land.  He looked over his squad and declared.  “We’ll camp here for the night.  Zara, set your traps.  Make them capable of catching small mammals.  We lost our rations along with our packs.”  He gave Teris a small, tentative smile.  “Looks like you’ll get to cook after all if you want.”
When Teris didn’t even register hearing him, Nozel’s forced smile fell.  She had had a scare.  They all had.  Seeing her attacked like that…  Nozel had never felt so helpless and furious.  He would have killed himself trying to get to her.  It had taken everything he had to pull himself back and think clearly when his instinct had been to rage and go mad, frothing uselessly from his cell.
Fuegoleon gripped his Captain’s shoulder, trying to comfort him.  He hoped Nozel didn’t take Teris’ silence personally.  Teris hadn’t spoken since they had taken to the air.  At least she had slept a good portion of the flight.  Though she had woken up with a start, calling Yami’s name.  There had been a moment after her waking where it appeared as if her fright would bubble over; but she had quickly calmed, taking in a shuddering breath as if relieved.
“Randall.” Nozel called, taking a step rather than shake Fuegoleon’s hand off his shoulder.  He didn’t want to be comforted.  He didn’t deserve it.  He had failed his team.
Randall straightened.  “Captain?”
Nozel hated the mans use of the title.  He hadn’t earned it in the first place.  And with all that had happened, he had proved just how unworthy he currently was of holding the rank, even as an acting one.
“Gather some wood and build a pit to roast whatever’s caught.  Then see if you can find a stone sharp enough to skin and cut.”  Nozel looked back at Teris, wondering if she still had whatever blade she had taken off the man.  But he didn’t want to bring it up by asking her.
Nozel watched Zara and Randall moved away to do as they were ordered. Turning back, he looked at Teris, once again fighting a swell of raging emotions.
“Teris.” Nozel said, gently.  When she still appeared dazed and distant, he turned to Fuegoleon.  “Why don’t you two get washed up.  I’ll keep watch.”
Fuegoleon nodded.
The two men looked at Teris, waiting for her to move or show any signed she had heard.  When she just stood there Fuegoleon looked back at Nozel, the two sharing a look of concern.
“Stop it!”  Teris snapped, suddenly coming to life.  “Quit looking at each other worrying about me.  I’m fine.”  She spun around and marched to the stream.
“She’s not fine.”  Fuegoleon told his Captain, softly.
“At least she’s talking again.”  Nozel said, relieved at that.
He had never witnessed it, but Nozel had heard that occasionally people who went through traumatic events had left them changed.  Sometimes all but dead to the world.  Without any type of healer, they would have had a real problem if Teris had suffered something like that. As important as their mission was, Nozel didn’t think he would have been able to go on if Teris had stayed lost in herself.  The thought of returning to face his father’s and the Kings displeasure sent a shiver down his spine.  But none of that bore thinking.  Teris would be fine.  She was strong.  Teris had already been through and survived so much.  He was certain that she would survive this too.
Nozel watched Teris make her way to the stream, Fuegoleon in her wake. Sure she would likely have some underlying issues for a while.  He would too.  But a selfish part of him hoped that this would bring them closer together.  Not that he would take advantage of anything the horrible scare may bring about.  But if some good could come from it, at least there would be that.  Not that any good, no matter how great, that came from this would make it worth Teris experiencing the scare she had.
Teris dipped trembling hands into stream.  Collecting a fistful of course dirt, she scrubbed away the blood.  At first the motions were slow and gentle but then they sped, growing rough.
Tears began to fall.  She brought up her hands, covering her face.
Fuegoleon watched her from a short distance.  He usually knew what to do to best comfort people.  It was a gift he had.  But in this instance, when his cousin needed him most, he was at a loss.  He didn’t know what to do.  Likely because she didn’t know what she wanted.  He decided to go with his own need and hoped it helped without driving her further away.
Moving to her, Fuegoleon knelt on the hard, rocky bank.  Ignoring the muddy damp that instantly wet his pants, he pulled her into a hug.  Teris cried into her cousins chest.  Stroking her hair, Fuegoleon wondered distantly if that was her trembling or him.  Never in his life had he felt so helpless.  Never in his life had he wanted someone dead so badly that he would have bashed their skull in if given half a chance.
The thought frightened him.  The desire to commit such violence.  Even now Fuegoleon wanted to kill the man over and over again, his mind playing over the ways in which he would do so.
Fuegoleon sniffed back his own tears; his fear, anger, and gratitude that the worst of what could have happened hadn’t.  Overwhelmed, he burrowed his face in her head and let the tears fall.
After a time, Teris ceased crying.  “Leon?  Are you wiping your tears on my hair?”
Fuegoleon lifted his head, stroking her moistened locks.  “It’s good for hair.”
Teris laughed at that.  “So that’s how your hair is always prettier than mine.  You cry into it.”
“I usually use the tears of my enemies.”  Fuegoleon played, amazed at how resilient she was.
Looking up at him, Teris soothed.  “It’s alright.”
“That’s my line.  No taking my lines.”  Fuegoleon chastised, lightly.
Teris pulled from him, her small smile falling as she grew serious.  “Scary as that was, I’ve faced worst fears.”
“You shouldn’t have to.”  Fuegoleon told.  He tucked a lock of her hair behind an ear, wondering how her saying such a thing was suppose to make him feel better.
“It’s just--”  Teris swallowed.  Try as she might to push the memory away, she could still feel the slick warmth of the man’s blood. Could still smell the metallic scent that had invaded her nostrils. “I’ve never killed anyone.  Not like that.  Not so close and physical.  Not with my own hands.”  She blinked back tears, hating the sign of weakness.
Though Fuegoleon knew better, he said.  “I’m pretty sure it was Nozel that killed him.  Broke his neck.”  He hoped lie was believable. He doubted Nozel would like taking credit that wasn’t his.  But given the reasoning, he was sure the acting Captain would allow it.
Teris looked up at him.  “Really?”
She should be ashamed at how much better that made her feel.  It didn’t matter who had killed the man.  Even a no good, sick, fiendish person like that didn’t deserve to die without trial.  A life was a life. And as a Magic Knight it was her job to protect and uphold the Clover Kingdoms law; not meet out judgment.  At least that’s the way it was suppose to be.  Sadly they didn’t live in a perfect world where things were the way they were suppose to be.
In her short time as a Magic Knight, she had seen so much death. Delivered so much of it herself.  Teris had known that being a Magic Knight was a dangerous job and there would be death.  But she had never imagined it to be at this scale.  She tried to think of how much more Julius had seen during his many years of service.  How much more she would see over the years, and stopped.  Unwilling and unable to imagine.
“Really.” Fuegoleon told her.
“Am I horrible for being relieved at that?”  Teris asked.
“No. Not in the least.”  Fuegoleon assured.
Teris shook her head, lowering her gaze.  “Poor Nozel.”
Fuegoleon looked at her, amazed.  Even after all Teris had been through, she was thinking of and sympathizing with others.
“I’m pretty sure he’s not all that upset about it.”  Fuegoleon remarked, thinking Nozel wouldn’t have been if this fiction had been reality.  “I think he’s more upset about us getting captured in the first place.”
Teris lifted her head.  “This wasn’t his fault.  None of us realized what we were walking into.  Or that we were being followed.”  She stopped and thought about the other two.
Not only had they not been in the cell block with them; but they hadn’t been in any of the other cell blocks they had passed.  A part of her felt silly for wondering if they were Agents of Chaos.  What would they be doing all the way out here just following?
“Try telling him that.”  Fuegoleon said.  “If I were leading this team I’d be feeling the same.  And so would you.”
“I suppose.”  Teris said, wondering what they could do to make Nozel feel better about his role as Captain.
“Come on.  We can’t take forever.”  Fuegoleon took his cloak off.  “You should wash your clothes as best you can.”  He untied the sash around his waist and removed the blue over coat, holding them out to her.  “You can wear this while you wash and dry yours.”
Thank you to those who have left hearts.  And a special THANK YOU to those who have recently left comments or re-blogged. They really mean a lot.
Next chapter snippet:
Alowishus glared.  He could end King Morris’ life here and now but that would only cause further war and problems as the Diamond Kingdom would be thrown into chaos.  Funny how all his life he had been trying to wake Chaos so he could bring about death and destruction and yet here he was trying to prevent such things from happening.

Damn, an original post? On this blog? Is this real life?? Thoughts on Zero below, there are some spoilers so be warned. This was meant to be my attempt at a critique but honestly it just turned into a long winded rant full of stuff other people have probably complained about already. I apologize in advance for the overall negative tone, but after watching the first 2 episodes twice I’m a little disheartened at the moment.
Alright, so I guess the good things first? The warthog racing scene aside, the visuals are pretty good! The fight scenes, especially involving the villains look impressive. The characters movements are smooth, the physics don’t seem too wild (depending on how you feel about teleportation); so overall I like it.  It’s good to see Wash and Lina again, it seems like the former made a full recovery despite his injuries which I’m a big fan of. Shotgun wielding Carolina in Ep 1 is certified BDE, and my boy copped a sweet promotion to Major in the offseason. So far I’m enjoying our antagonists; they look fuggin sweet, the dynamic between Phase and Diesel is amusing, and Zero gives off a mysterious leader vibe I can get behind. I’m sorry to say that’s about where it ends for me though. I have a laundry list of complaints so if you’re not interested in that I would stop reading here.
I’m fairly indifferent towards Shatter Squad. The rivalry between East and One just feels like Carolina and Tex all over again, only with less animosity. Axel is the cliche team dad, Raymond is the awkward yet-to-prove-himself rookie, and West is the gritty, battle hardened team leader who doesn’t take any lip but cares deep down blah blah blah. It honestly feels like the writers have forgotten what made RvB so good in the first place. The first five seasons were literally just some idiots fucking around in a canyon with the occasionally plot line thrown in. It wasn’t the most visually impressive thing, but the characters were endearing and that made up for it.  The new cast just feels kind of cheesy and stereotypical, maybe that’s just me though.
Some of things I really hate? How about Wash immediately getting fucked up, tortured, and kidnapped. The poor dude literally just got over a TBI from the last season and they’re already using his suffering to advance the plot again. I’m really worried that we’re going to see either him or Lina get killed off and that would just wreck me. How about the complete absence of the Reds and Blues? I understand that some of the VA’s are gone and the others are busy running the company, but at least mention them. They’re the reason the show has made it this far; to just completely ignore them, especially after the character development Donut went through in S17, is mind boggling. There’s also not even a single whisper about Locus, Kimball, Dylan Andrews, Jax, or the cosmic powers we’ve just spent multiple seasons getting to know. They had so many options to bring back characters people really liked and they just dropped the ball. Like where the fuck is Huggins???
Another thing that bothers me is the seemingly complete departure from the Halo universe. Have we just completely forgotten about the UNSC? You know, that one organization that PFL and Charon Industries were specifically shown as having ties to for like 11 seasons. What the fuck is AOD? At what point were Wash and Lina recruited into this new super secret squirrel program? There’s no continuity from previous seasons, which is fine if you want to take the show in a new direction, but then why use 2 characters who have been around for the past 12 and 9 seasons respectively? There’s armor, monsters, and weapons that have never existed in the Halo universe suddenly appearing from thin air. For some reason Agent East is able to move at inhuman speeds, not from armor enhancements like Carolina, but due to some unspecified experiments performed on her by some unmentioned till now organization only known as Starlight Laboratories. The  disregard for previously established canon details is just aggravating, and the way they just dumped these new things on us without any explanation feels cheap.
My last gripe for today is about the appearance and movements of the characters when they’re not fighting. The head movements when speaking are stilted and jerky, which didn’t seem to be an issue in previous seasons. One would think that with the fluidity of the fight scenes two characters simply chatting wouldn’t look so stiff and unnatural. The shadows and saturation in some scenes (warthog race) just look awful as well. Not to mention the appearance of the regular “soldiers” in the first episode. ACU-esque digital camouflages were out of style in the 2000′s, let alone the 2500′s.The voice acting also doesn’t really do it for me either, especially for Shatter Squad. In their defense, even Shannon and Jen seem a little off this season. The only characters I’ve enjoyed listening to so far have been Phase and Zero, the rest just don’t seem to mesh with their characters.
To close this massive bitchfest I guess I’d just like to say it doesn’t feel like RvB anymore. Maybe it’s because RT has grown into such a giant soulless shell of what it once was. Maybe it’s because the people in charge of the show have forgotten where it’s come from and what we as fans enjoyed about it. Maybe it’s because all good things must eventually come to an end. Or maybe it’s just because I’m jaded.  What I do know is that I miss the Reds and Blues, I miss the dynamics that have been established over the past 17 seasons, and I miss how Wash and Lina had become members of their fucked up little family. Part of me wishes they had just pulled the plug and given all of them a happy ending in S17. I’d like to believe that the issue here is just me being cynical about the show going a direction I don’t agree with and that things will get better. At the end of the day, I’m just one salty person behind a keyboard and I hope that you guys are enjoying this season more than I am.
Also, I still miss CT.

Hey hun, some mk valentine hcs please? Im kinda sad i dont get anything even tho we don’t celebrate it here :V
Aw shame, Nonny, I hope you get to spoil yourself today, and that these headcanons will cheer you up a bit. ^3^
Back in the day, Johnny used to spoil Sonya on Valentine’s Day. Breakfast in bed, flowers in the foyer, husband-and-wife spa day, and a romantic dinner for two are just some of the things he used to do. If he was away on a film-shoot during this time, he’d send her flowers (her favourite ones, of course) to S-F HQ, and bring her back little gifts from his travels. Also expect him to send her tons of V-Day memes and corny messages.
As a child, Cassie was also spoiled by Johnny, who’d buy her chocolate hearts and plush toys, and they’d also wear outfits that were pink, red and/or white. Cassie also likely made homemade Valentine’s Day cards and gifts for all her favourite people: her parents, Jacqui, Jax, Vera, Raiden, etc.
Sometimes on Valentine’s Day, Cassie and Jacqui would deliver their homemade gifts/cards to Raiden, who would put them on display in the Sky Temple along with his other possessions. He’s too much of a dear to let them go as the years go by. Besides, the whole thing makes him feel chuffed that these girls went out of their way to include him in this Earthrealm occasion.
I literally want to see baby!Cetrion doing the same thing for Kronika, who doesn’t think much of the occasion at first, but can’t help but be charmed by her daughter’s efforts. Geras is even roped in to help baby!Cetrion in crafting her gifts and cards for her mother, and he often gets handmade gifts/cards of his own, too. When Cetrion gets a hang of her powers, expect her to grow the most beautiful garden in her mother’s honour, and to gift her (and Geras) the very best blooms each year.
Jax and Vera treat V-Day like it’s their anniversary. They will take the day off from working on the farm and relax in each other’s company, whether it be picnicking on the farm or going off to a private holiday place for the night. It allows for Jax to get loose and relax, and for him to let Vera know that he loves and appreciates her for everything.
Jacqui and Takeda’s first V-Day together was very much by the book, as Takeda did not want to disappoint Jacqui (or get on her father’s bad side). He spruced himself up, got a lovely bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates, then he showed up on her doorstep, shyly asking her if she’d like to go out for supper. Dead romantic, chivalry-type stuff. X3 It was an evening well spent (as was Takeda’s wallet). I’d like to think perhaps now that they either plan how they’re gonna spend the day, or they just do everything on the fly. Either way, there will be umbrella drinks involved, cuddles and chocolate.
Kenshi is the one who explains the concept of Valentine’s Day to Ermac, who’s fascinated by this Earthrealm custom. He also brings the construct a different flower each day (14 flowers in total to count down V-Day), and each one symbolises something different in flower language. It’s up to Ermac to determine what they mean, and when he figures it out, he’s really touched that a bloom can hold such a deep, beautiful meaning. Plus, it warms each and every one of his souls that Kenshi carries out this sweet gesture.
Liu Kang also explains V-Day to Kitana, who likely goes all out to hold a V-Day-themed celebratory event in Outworld/Edenia in honour of this occasion. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s the one who first gives the gifts, initiates the romantic lunch and supper dates, and secretly plans to propose to Liu-liu on the day herself.
Also expect Liu-liu to save up significantly to buy Kitana a gift for Valentine’s Day, and also to bombard Sindel, Kung Lao and Jade with questions about what to get her because she basically has everything already.
Kung Jin literally treating himself on V-Day by buying sweet treats and books, and renting a movie to watch at his S-F apartment …
… unless Erron Black’s available, then expect Jin to demand to be spoiled (”’Cause you’ve got to spend your money sometime - might as well spend it on me”). Erron can kinda see that V-Day’s a bigger deal since his last jaunt in Earthrealm, so he makes the effort to take Jin out for some wining and dining, complete with some flowers (“Roses for my White Lotus”). Maybe a moonlit stroll and some flirtatious talk, and perhaps getting a little physical, will follow. Otherwise, if it was someone else other than Jin, then it’s basically bed, bubbly and a barbecue dinner (in no particular order) for Erron.
Kotal Kahn reading romantic poems and stories out loud by firelight, or on the palace balcony as the sun sets. Hearing the emperor’s smooth, deep delivery is enchanting for Reptile, who probably lounges on a chaise longue near the fireplace (or outside), basking in the warmth of the flames (or sunlight) and of Ko-Ko’s voice. Even he finds himself riveted by the words, borne of Earthrealm or other realms, that his emperor speaks. Expect the evening to evolve into something passionate.
Ferra/Torr going around the palace and the Outworld market-place, giving everyone hugs and wishing them “Hap-hap Vally-tiny’s Day!” Please imagine this happening.
Mileena and Tanya trying to outdo each other with gifts and flirtatious, seductive techniques on Valentine’s Day. Of course, it’s just their way of showing how much they care for each other, but they can’t help getting competitive. Plus, it gives them a thrill at every turn. Expect their efforts to culminate into a wildly passionate evening.
Kollector tries to win Shao Kahn’s favour on V-Day with tokens that he got while on his tax-collecting missions. Some coins here, little precious trinkets there, actual hearts belonging to his targets, etc. Best believe Shao rewards him for his efforts. Oh yes.
Kuai Liang and Hanzo Hasashi are super low-key about spending Valentine’s Day together, provided that their duties will allow them to cherish each other’s company on this particular day. It might include quietly meditating together in the Fire Garden or on the Lin Kuei Temple premises. It strengthens their bond, makes them relax in each other’s presence, and it allows them to reflect on how far they’ve come together. Plus, it gives them an opportunity to give thanks to their lost loved ones (Harumi, Satoshi, Bi-Han, Smoke, etc). Then, they might indulge in a light supper (or picnic), chat together while drinking tea, walk among the garden or temple grounds, then gradually get physical as the day goes on and draws to a close. Lots of “I love you” talk, either directly or between the lines.
Kharon feeling sorry for Quan Chi (forever alone) and sends him a Valentine’s Day card. QC appreciates it. X’3
Johnny sending Tremor, his biggest fan, a shout-out in a video on social media. Needless to say, Tremor’s V-Day was made.
That’s all I can think of at the moment, Nonny, I do hope these were decent headcanons, although a lot of them were OTP-heavy. I hope your day goes well! ^3^

Alrighty so I’ve been made aware that people of my generation aka born before 2001 or so don’t know the ridiculousness of Nickolodeon shows. I was the kid who continued watching Nick and Disney even after I grew older than the channel’s intended audiences so I know quite a bit about the shows that air nowadays and I thought I should share some of them.
Note: most of this context comes from a discord discussion with very few braincells so if it isn’t funny I’m sorry
Every Witch Way
Aside from the fact that each season of this show was aired every weekday for a month for all four of their seasons, it has some interesting characters as well. In season 2, to add for drama purposes, I guess, the writers introduced another love interest, Jax. According to @gabriel-agreste-has-no-rights, his name Jax = jacket (something I still can’t stop laughing about). Let’s be real the jacket is kind of over kill and just he doesn’t need it. I mean he’s already bad boy enough no need to add the leather jacket.
SPOILERS Fun fact he ends up being chosen by fans to be the main characters love interest and being one of those fans that voted for it, it was totally cause of the jacket. SPOILERS
The Thundermans
Okay besides the fact that they defy Edna Mode’s fashion advice (No Capes!!), this show has one majorly weird aspect that I still can’t wrap my head around. At some point (can’t remember when exactly), the writers just decide four kids isn’t enough for the family lets add a fifth! Thus Chloe was born. But here’s the thing, the day superheroes get pregnant also happens to be the same day they give birth. But here’s the kicker. When born normal baby with maybe some baby super powers. But after a few months or whenever the show just needs no baby but a toddler they just do the same thing as the sims where boom the kid magically turns five and has her grown up superpowers. I’m kinda like??? Does this mean that all superhero kids are just five years younger than the age they say or what? Mind you this kid knew how to speak when she transformed into a five year old so like big confusion.
Also weird point with the Thundermans. They have a pet/prisoner name Dr. Colosso, who was born human, but is turned into a bunny for his crimes and mentors the eldest son Max on evil. Colosso also has a human son of his own, so very interesting family there.
Game Shakers
This is the only show on the list that I haven’t watched a good portion of so I can’t give a general overview, but I had to share this gem of a clip. For basic understanding, Nathan Kress, the guy who played Freddie on iCarly, is in New York and the Game Shakers visit him to ask whether his character Freddie ended up with Carly, Sam, or heheh Gibby.

❇ slow burn or love at first sight.
I... am not a patient person at all ._.) Slow burn fics can be awesome if done right, but most of the time I just get bored. Not to say the fic itself is boring or bad, that’s just how I am with things that are too long. It’s the same with anime! If given the choice, I would choose love at first sight simply because of that.
❇ fake dating or secret dating.
I don’t mind either, to be honest, but I feel like I’ve read and written more secret dating than I have fake dating. I guess there’s just something about trying to keep it a secret!
❇ enemies to lovers or best friends to lovers.
Again, I don’t mind either one, but I feel like best friends to lovers is more likely and much easier to write and read. Enemies to lovers can be very tricky because the whole point of being enemies is to hate each other, so it can be super hard to successfully transition into a loving relationship and, as mentioned above, I don’t have the patience that it would take for this.
❇ oh no there’s only one bed or long-distance correspondence.
This one is hard for me to choose. While both are amazing, I’ve found myself thinking about a long-distance fic for a while now, especially in the SMAU since, so I feel drawn to choosing that option.
❇ hurt-comfort or amnesia.
Most of my fics end up being hurt/comfort lol it’s basic and simple and I love that. I’m also not really a fan of amnesia fics. To be honest, I can’t really call any of the few that I have read.
❇ fantasy AU or modern AU.
While I certainly do enjoy fantasy, I feel more at ease with modern, both in writing and reading. My brain isn’t the... sharpest crayon in the pack and fantasy can come with loads of technicalities that my brain struggles to properly grasp. Plus you can relate more to modern!
❇ mutual pining or domestic bliss.
Both, to be honest haha But if I had to choose, I’ve definitely read/written more for mutual pining over domestic bliss. There’s just something so... final about marriage.
❇ smut or fluff.
Now, I enjoy smut. Most people do! But for me, reading/writing smut is more of a fleeting thing. I’ll sometimes get into the mood for some smut, but then I partake and I move on. Meanwhile, I’m always in the mood for fluff!
❇ canon-compliant or fix-it.
I honestly don’t think I can properly choose one of these because, well, in my opinion, all fanfics are technically fix-its while still remaining canon compliant. At least the fics that I write/read are, because they add an extra element that changes the story in ways while keeping it the same at the same time! Does that make sense??
❇ reincarnation or character death.
I avoid character deaths in both writing and reading. Period. But if I had to choose, it would be reincarnation because I have written this before. I’d rather keep avoiding fics about such things, though.
❇ one-shot or multi chapter.
As stated earlier, I have the patience of a flea. Most times, I just want to get in and get out, even with my fics. Reading, I lose interest fast. Writing, I can’t think of a good plot most times to make them keep going. Still, this doesn’t stop me from partaking in either lmfao But you can probably tell this by looking at all of the series that I haven’t finished.
❇ kid fic or road trip fic.
I’m not entirely sure what kid fics are? Is that just fics where the characters are kids?? Since I’m not sure, I’ll just choose road trip fics, which can be a fun read! I’ve personally only written it once or twice, though.
❇ arranged marriage or accidental marriage.
I... I’m sorry... accidental marriage?? How do you accidentally get married?? I am so confused. I don’t like arranged marriages because I think they are unfair but they are good plot armor for fics hehe
❇ high school romance or middle aged romance.
100% no contest. As someone that missed out on the high school experience and mostly watches school anime, I LOVE high school romance. While I have read/written middle aged romance because most people age them up, not feeling comfortable writing for teenagers ._.) Which, for smut I get, but eh.
❇ time travel or isolated together.
Time travel has never been my thing because that requires knowledge of different time periods or the brain power to create future/alternate times. However, I have been wanting to write a quarantine fic recently, partly inspired by #Alive which was a surprisingly good movie (and the English dub was funny).
❇ neighbors or roommates.
As roommates, you have so many more opportunities to make a bond and grow a relationship. This can be a lot harder as neighbors, or maybe I’m just biased because I personally never talk to my neighbors or interact with them or even SEE them most days.
❇ sci-fi AU or magic AU.
As stated above, sci-fi is above my brain’s pay grade lol I don’t understand most of it and it just doesn’t interest me. Now, magic? Love it! Especially if there are magical transforms involved! Though I’m not sure they’d be quite as epic in a fic.
❇ body swap or gender bend.
There’s just something about turning my favorite male characters into females for a short time that I just love. Though I’ve only written for it once or twice and I don’t believe I’ve read anything for it, either haha I just remember seeing these pictures of the Prince of Tennis boys turned into girls in bathing suits and it was just *chefs kiss*
❇ angst or crack.
CRACK. No contest lmfao While angst can be nice and needed to further a plot, I have more than enough angst in my real life and would rather NOT have too much in my fics. Crack can be hard to reach without being labeled simple comedy, in my opinion, but when you get there, it’s just amazing.
❇ apocalyptic or mundane.
I think apocalyptic can be fun in doses, but mundane just seems more... reachable, I guess? Slice of life has always been one of my go-tos because of its simplicity. It’s everyday life and feels more real and obtainable, you know?

Sutter fanboys/girls really had me speechless, they really think Soa was a masterpiece and Jax is the best character ever written, his evolution is genius and so sad and tragic, because Jax was so relatable🙄I see them say he really wanted the best for his family but after Opie died he spiraled and stopped caring, which is kinda true,BUT it was also shitty writing,Jax was a shitty friend to Opie, they were at odds all the time and still I had to believe he loose his true north because Opie, with who he barely had a relationship and who he was lying all the time died??Kinda same with Tara, most of s6 he was ignoring her,how am I suppose to believe her death affected him so deeply??He was a monster and only cared about the club🤔😒Sutter only cared about shock value and stunt casting but as a story teller he was a failure, his ego clearly took over!I really can’t see how Jax is such a tragic character, not from s4,sorry Kurt😬
They are in complete denial about how the truth! It’s sad because Jax did have the potential to be all of those things, but Sutter completely ruined it. Opie’s death was planned out better than Tara’s, but it was still kind of rushed. I completely agree! It’s kind of weird how Jax and Opie are best friends, but we rarely got to see that side of them. They were close in S1 and then they were at odds through most of the series. Tara’s death was absolutely rushed and you’re right, it was because of the shock value! Sutter ruined everything that could have been great about this series because he was too focused on “shocking” fans 🙄. Sutter let the popularity of the show get to his head and it’s super telling because the show started to go down hill once it started to gain more popularity. SOA had a following in the beginning of the series, but it wasn’t anything major. Once S4 took off, the show started taking off and then it started to go down hill at the end of S5 😑. Sutter catered to the fans and let his ego get in the way! He really thought he was gods gift to television 😂

I’ve been Dreaming about you
Pairing: Joe Anoa’i X Reader
Warnings: None
Fluff Fluff Fluff
Tumblr media
It was a silly radio call in contest.... Win tickets to Smackdown live plus backstage passes. I grabbed my friend, Laura, to go with me.
We were escorted back stage before the show started, and got to see the set up. Our tour guide, Danny,  led us through the arena's backstage area showing us everything from catering to dressing rooms to the gorilla. It was definitely worth going early for the full tour. We learned about how medical set up, how the wardrobe department worked, even a little about the broadcasting. I was eating it all up.
Laura was a little less enthusiastic. In truth, she was only interested in the talent.... particularly Braun Stroman. So when she wasn't paying attention to the tour and noticed an open door, she peeked her head in. I went to pull her back to the tour when my eyes locked with Roman Reign's eyes. He was in the room seated on a table in the back of the room surrounded by other talent. Of course, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were next to him. It was a mere second before the door closed behind us, but it was enough to.... connect? Was that the right word?
Oh please! I was being crazy. Roman can have any girl he wants. I'm sure he was just surprised at seeing a new face backstage or bored of whatever meeting he was in. Either way, I knew that was going to be the best moment of the night. I focused back on the tour guide and enjoyed the rest of our tour.
Then we took our seats ringside. I'd had good seats before, (4th row, 7th row) but I'd never been in the front row before, and we were seated just at the corner of the ramp and the ring. We had the perfect view of everything. Some of the talent even slapped my hand as they made their way down the ramp.
Nia Jax beat Ember Moon in a killer match. Laura nearly squealed when Braun Stroman came out, and I practically had to wipe her mouth as she drooled over his every move. As he slammed Baron Corbin into the mat, I swear I heard her growl in desire. He wasn't my first choice, but if she liked him, that's fine by me.
There was one more match.... The Shield vs Jinder Mahal, Bobby Lashley and Dolf Ziggler. This was going to be one hell of a match, and as the music began and the “heels” started their way to the ring, the crowd got louder. It was infectious. I was getting more excited, as the crowd got hyped.
When The Shield's music hit, the crowd began looking for where they were entering through the crowd. Normally, they were across from the cameras at the top of the first tier of seats. The whole crowd looked there, and then looked around. They were nowhere to be found. As the crowd found them, they turned toward us. I looked behind me to find the Shield headed straight for us. Their normal “security” followed behind with our tour guide, Danny who looked very out of place.
As soon as Roman found me, he locked eyes with me. All three of the Shield members looked upset, but I saw one corner of Roman's mouth quirk up when he saw me. “Is he smiling at you?” Laura asked me. I couldn't answer. I was completely stunned by his eyes. Roman only looked away from me to watch where he was walking. I watched as they jumped the barricade next to us and as Roman stared at me from the ring. “Why are they all looking at you?” Laura asked again.
I tore my eyes away from Roman for a moment to see that she was right, Dean and Seth were looking at me too, although they looked unhappy to see me. “Girl, what the hell is going on?”
I was getting ready to tell her I didn't know when a hand tapped my shoulder, “Y/N,” I turned to find Danny, the tour guide. He handed me a note. I opened it and scanned it quickly.
Please stay after the show. Danny will come get you. I need to talk to you, Roman Reigns.
“What the fuck?” Laura said eyeing the note over my shoulder.
She looked from me to Danny who simply shrugged. “I was just told to give her the note and come get her after the show. He didn't explain it to me, and I've never seen anything like this. Not from Roman” He said. “I'll come back for you after this match.” He said as he walked away.
I looked up to the ring. The Shield was hamming it up.... drinking in the adoration of the crowd, but before taking his corner with his brothers, Roman looked at me again. He mouthed PLEASE to me, and I nodded yes. The corner of his mouth curled up in a smirk again.
The match seemed to go on forever. The fans cheered as the talent put on a great show, and everyone was completely wrapped up in the show.... except me. I was so confused. I was pretty sure Roman looked at me a few more times before he got tagged in. Once he entered the ring though, he was completely focused on what he was doing, which is good. I don't want to see anyone get hurt.  Honestly, I didn't want Roman to get hurt.
I watched as he speared, super man punched and dominated the rest of the match, finally pinning Dolf. As the Shield exited up the ramp, Roman was sure to come to me and hold my hand for a split second before exiting.
It was time. Danny would be by to take us backstairs soon. The wait was frustrating. We watched as the arena emptied out almost all the way. Laura talked about the show and how great it was, but she could tell I was..... what was I? Confused? Shocked? Scared? She could tell I was off... that my mind was backstage already. She tried to distract me, but it didn't work.
I was just about to give up on Danny when I saw him come down the ramp. “I'm sorry I took so long.” He said as he moved the barricade so we could come through. Distracted or not, I was still fan-girling about walking up the ramp, about being backstage, about the whole day. Instead of walking in to the gorilla, Danny took us to a side entrance. We ended up back in the room where I'd first seen Roman.
We were reviewing the pictures Laura had taken of the show when I heard a voice behind me, “Ladies?” I turned to see Seth and Dean. They didn't look mad anymore, but they didn't look happy either. They looked.... leery. “What are you doing here?” Seth asked.
Was I in the wrong place? “I... uh.... Danny brought us here.” I said meekly.
“No. What are you doing at the show tonight? How did you get a tour backstage?” Dean asked rather rudely.
The tone of voice made Laura bristle, and I saw a protective vibe come over her, “She won tickets from a radio station.” She said it as she took a step in front of me like a mama bear protecting her cub.
I stepped in front of her then, “Mr. Rollins, Mr. Ambrose is everything ok?” I asked as nicely as I could.
“Actually,” Seth started, “I'm Colby Lopez. This is Johnathan Good. Mr. Anao'i, that's Roman's name, will be out soon. He is still showering. What’s your name?” Seth sounded much calmer now. “I'm sorry if we sounded like jerks. We're just looking out for our brother.”
I'm sure my confusion showed on my face. “I’m Y/N. What are you talking about?”
“Doll,” It was Dean/Johnathan this time, “Ya gotta understand. Our brother is special. We want to make sure you're not some sort of gold digger.” I waited for him to start laughing, because this was obviously a joke.
“Gold digger?” Mama Bear Laura said, stepping between me and the two men. “All this woman has done is come take a tour and see a show. She won those tickets fair and square.” Her voice got louder the more she talked.
I placed a hand on her elbow, “Calm down, Laura. Let's find out what's happening before we go on the attack. I looked to the other men as I drew Laura back to stand beside me. “Mr. Lopez, Mr. Good, We aren't hiding anything. We don't have some secret agenda. We won tickets, we came, then Danny brought us back here. That's all.”
“Is it?” Seth said turning a chair and straddling it so he was sitting backwards on it, but facing me. He crossed his arms over the back.
“Back down, Colby!” Roman's voice boomed from the door behind me. “Sorry, they're a little over-protective.” He said calmly to me. I turned to find him freshly showered in slacks and a button down shirt, hair up in a bun. Our eyes locked on each other's again. “Hi,” he reached to shake my hand, “I'm Joe.”
He towered over me, but instead of finding it scary, I felt safe in front of him. “I'm Y/N.”I answered.
Joe's voice got softer as he talked to me. “I don't have a lot of time here. We are headed to Kansas City tonight, but I had to talk to you.” Logically, I figured that Joe was trying to get a booty call, but looking into his eyes, I saw something else. Something I couldn't decipher. “These guys have agreed to wait ½ hour to leave so we can talk.” He gestured to Dean and Seth. “Can we... uh... can we talk alone?” He asked tentatively.
“No.” Laura said. I chuckled at that.
“At ease, soldier.” I laughed to her.
“I'm not leaving you alone with him.” She demanded.
I looked to Joe who grinned slightly. “Laura, can you and the guys go out into the hall? We'll keep the door open, mom.” I teased her.
Dean chuckled with me and Seth gathered he and Laura up. “Come on, I'll buy you a cup of coffee.” Seth offered to Laura.
Once they were all gone, I felt a sense of relief. No more evil looks from The Shield brothers and no more over-protective Laura.
Joe motioned to a chair, “Have a seat.” Part of me was on high alert... wondering what the hell was going on, but when I looked at Joe, I calmed down. Something about him just seemed so comforting.  We both sat down at a little table. “I...... uh....” He stopped talking. He just chuckled to himself as he looked down to the floor. “Sorry.” He looked back up and I saw a blush starting to form on his cheeks. “I.... I don't know how to say this. It sounds crazy, even in my head.” He struggled to find the words. “I've been” he paused “dreaming about you for months.”
I was stunned. Truly stunned. “What?” I asked.
“I don't know how else to say it. I've been dreaming about you for months.... actually.... for over a year.” He said again. He stood up and started pacing for a second, but then sat back down and looked at me. “For a year now, I've dreamed about you..... your hair, your voice. Three or four times a week.”
Surely this was a pick up line. It had probably worked dozens of times on other women, but not with me. And yet, as I looked at him, all I saw was him being vulnerable. “Are you serious?” I asked.
“I am.” He looked down and shook his head in disbelief. “I've been dreaming about you for over a year. I never thought you were a real person, until I saw you tonight. I don't know what to do now that I found you, but I do know I want to get to know you.”
Ok. I resigned myself to the fact that he was trying to hook up. This had to be an act.  I opened my mouth to talk, but couldn't figure out what to say.
“Like I said, the guys have given me a half hour to figure this out. So, first, can I have your phone number?” He smiled up as he handed me his phone. Still stunned, I grabbed his phone and typed in my number. “Say something, please.” Joe pleaded.
“I... I don't know what to say.” I admitted which made him smile warmly and something about the smile made me melt a bit inside. “Is this..... are you trying to hook up with me?” I hadn't meant to say that out loud, but there it was.
Joe laughed harder. “No.... Listen, I'm not kidding. I've honestly been dreaming about you. Now that I found you, I don't know what to do, but I know that I can't let you go until we figure this out. I'm not looking for a hook up.”
His smile was infectious. “Good.” I smiled back at him.
He reached out and took my hand between his, “I know this sounds insane. Trust me, I feel insane saying it out loud. Seth and Dean are really concerned about me. They've been hearing me talk about you... well... the dreams about you, and then I just see you. It's.... I don't know. It's something.”
“It's something alright.” I had to admit, I loved the feel of his big hands holding mine.
He chuckled again. “Lets start with this. Do you live here in St. Louis?” he asked.
“Actually, I live across the river in Illinois. It's about a 20 minute drive here.”
He looked surprised and pleased. “Can I come visit you on Tuesday?” he asked suddenly.
I was stunned yet again, “What?”
“I have Tuesday and Wednesday off. Can I come see you? I'd like to take you out on a date. Maybe take you out to dinner?” he rubbed a thumb over my knuckles. “I'll stay at a hotel. I'll be happy to get you a room if you don't want to drive back and forth or not. It's up to you.”
“Are you serious?” I asked. “We just met.”
“He's serious,” I heard Seth say. “We've been hearing about you forever.” I looked to find Seth, Laura and Dean coming back in the room. “He's got it bad for you.”
The comment made Joe blush again and he looked down at the floor before taking a breath. “He's right. I don't know how or why, but I know.......I don't know..... I just need to get to know you.” He smiled so warmly at me with a look of slight embarrassment. It made me melt a little more.
“They've been telling me all about his dreams.” Laura said as she handed me a bottle of water. “He's telling the truth.” She reassured me.
I thought for a second before I tried to answer, “Well,” I looked into his eyes “Yes. Yes we can go out to dinner on Tuesday.”
That made Joe smile even more. “All right! Ok, we've got a bit more time. Tell me everything about yourself.”
I laughed a bit, “My whole life in what... 15 minutes?”
He laughed with me. “How about just some things...... What do you do for work? What do you do for fun? Are you  wrestling fan?”
“Oh yeah she is,” Dean interrupted, “I saw her following the match closely. She even winced when you took the kick to the chest from Dolf and landed wrong. She knows wrestling.” He was incapable of standing still... instead he paced back and forth. “She knows.”
I smiled and nodded at Joe. “Yes. I follow wrestling. I have for a few years.” I answered. I work for a marketing firm, and I love to paint.”
“Painting... like art?” Joe asked. I nodded yes.
“What do you do for a living?” I joked.
Joe just laughed. He looked up to Seth, “How does Finn say it?” He looked back to me, “I wrestle grown men in my underwear.”
We all laughed at that, which seemed to calm our friends who were now hovering over us. I felt  like we had chaperones. Laura and Seth took a seat at a table on the other side of the room, and Dean paced between the two tables anxiously.
Joe and I settled into a conversation. We talked about our lives and our beliefs, and time flew by.
“Joe.” Seth called from across the room. “5 minutes.” He warned, which shocked both of us.
“Ok, Like I said, these guys want to get to Kansas City.” He stood up, taking my hand in his again and leading me to stand. He turned so he was between our friends and us, and his broad frame almost completely blocked them out. “I can't believe you're real.”
“I'm real. I promise.”
“Can I text you later tonight?” He asked shyly.
“Yes.” I shook my head at him. He stared into my eyes for a second before bending down to give me a chaste kiss on the lips which brought a big smile to my face.
“Thank you,” He said. “We'll make plans for Tuesday over the phone, ok?” I nodded in agreement.
“Come on, loverboy!” Seth's words broke us up. “You can talk to her on the phone.”
Joe pressed a sweet kiss to my forehead and said goodbye.
Laura and I were left in the room..... both confused a bit.... me a little weak in the knees.
“What the fuck?” She asked.
“I don't know.” I answered her.
We started walking out to our car, “Do you believe this whole dreaming of you thing?” She asked.
I thought for a minute before I answered. “I think I do.” I answered.

Spotlight: A Life Of A Troubled Celebrity Heartthrob Ch 7
Word Count: 3,437
Colson continued to be sick as the night dragged on. Dr Lander had warned of the side effects and advised Colson to keep hydrated. Tired of rushing him to the bathroom, Y/N called room service and requested a bucket filled it with sand and put it at Colson's side of the bed; in case he had another bout of nausea-which he did, for most of the night.
"I'm so sorry baby..sorry for putting you through this," Colson mumbled repeatedly.
"I got you babe. Don't worry... I'm here okay?" she cooed soothingly.
Y/N patiently wiped his face or mouth whenever he dribbled and held up the bucket for him when needed. She constantly made trips to the bathroom to wash the towel; to wipe the sweat off to keep his body cool. Colson was delirious until his fever broke, which was the point they finally got to rest.
Colson's phone kept buzzing on the night-stand until Y/N reached over and answered it; because she couldn't take it anymore. "Hello," she said groggily.
"Good afternoon Y/N," Byron said, "Any chance I can talk to your husband?"
"Hmmm.." Y/N groaned, "No can do By."
"Why? He still asleep or..? It's way after lunch-"
"Rather you come over and see for yourself," she croaked in her sleep deprived voice.
"Is everything okay?" Byron started to panic.
"See you soon By. I need to go back to sleep now so-bye," she hung up and went to the bathroom. Then called room service and ordered breakfast for herself since Colson was still knocked out.
Colson was still sound asleep so she tiptoed around as she cleaned up the bedroom. She flung the windows open and the fresh air that invaded the room was a welcome intrusion. The curtains she kept closed so as not to wake him. Colson's phone rang again and she rolled her eyes before answering.
"Hi Mrs Baker! How are you this fine afternoon?" Jax said with enthusiasm.
"Jax," Y/N groaned.
"Everything okay there? Anything I should know?" he inquired.
"Just get here and you will find the answer to all your questions," she sighed as she cut the call.
"Hey-is Colson around?" Slim asked.
"Hey Slim. Yes but he's still asleep," Y/N said for the umpteenth time.
"We have a sound check at four so was wondering-"
"It's not going to happen," she said flatly.
"I'm coming over," Slim saved her the trouble of hanging up.
The phone wouldn't stop ringing. She was almost tempted to switch it off.
"Hi Mrs Baker this is Dr Lander..from last night at the hospital?"
"Oh hi Doc," Y/N said, "I'm going to get the driver to bring you tickets right away. Take care."
A few minutes later she heard a loud knock on the door; when the door swung open Slim, Jax and Byron were waiting outside. Y/N glanced at them and grunted a greeting before walking back into the bedroom. She had thrown on decent PJs and tied her hair in a messy bun. They trailed behind her quietly and stood at the door waiting for her to allow them to get in.
"Colson is sick," she stated in a flat tone, "I took him to the hospital last night but he seemed better and then he got worse. Fever, nausea-all of it," she leaned against the headboard and rubbed her forehead.
"Why didn't you call us?" Slim asked.
"He insisted that you all needed a day off and he was against the idea of calling any of you," she dug her hands into her luscious long hair as she pushed it back. Slim stared openly and shook himself before anyone else noticed.
"Let's not have this discussion here, we might wake him up. He needs his rest and so does Y/N," Byron led them back into the living room.
"So today is the last day of the tour and Colson seems out of it," Byron rubbed his chin worriedly.
"What do we do?" Jax asked as he sat down.
"We can improvise.." Slim suggested.
"How?" Byron asked in a low voice.
"We can give him a little pick me up.." Slim smiled slyly "it works like a charm.."
"No!" Jax said adamantly as he rose to his feet.
"Look-it's the last concert guys c'mon. We can't be refunding fans that got tickets already. Need I remind you it was a sell out show?" Slim whispered defensively, "Besides everyone in showbiz does it."
"What you're proposing will do more harm than good," Jax whispered fiercely.
"Guys let's take five shall we? Deep breaths everyone.." Byron raised his hands, "That's it.."
"Don't tell me you're in agreement with him??" Jax turned to Byron, shock registering on his face.
"Well..I.." Byron looked around in discomfit.
"You can't-" Jax looked distraught.
"I don't really need anyone's permission besides Col's. So I'm going to ask him what he thinks when he wakes up," Slim challenged.
"Why would you want to put him through that again? He's been clean and it should stay that way...Don't do it Slim," Jax glared at Slim, "Just because you're beyond redemption doesn't mean you should take Colson down with you."
"Well, we will have to see about that the, won't we?" Slim sneered and walked out of the hotel room. It was time to put his plans in motion..with a little help from unsuspecting friends of course.
"Hey Slim," Ashleigh opened the door and let him in.
"Hey Ash, listen..I think you need to take Y/N out of the house or something. She seems like she could use a friend right now you know?" Slim said with concern.
"Oh..is she okay?" Ashleigh asked as she sat on the couch opposite Slim.
"I think you should just go over and suggest lunch or shopping or whatever it is you girls do to de-stress," Slim shrugged as he leaned forward.
"Okay, I will do that..maybe Sommer can join us?" she said brightly.
"Yeah, that would be great. It will give the boys a chance to bond," Slim stood up and made to leave, "I'll go and tell Sommer to get ready, so long."
"She can just come over to Y/N's once she's done," Ashleigh said as she walked him to the door.
"Thanks Ash, you're a great friend," Slim said as a parting shot. He smiled to himself as he walked back to his hotel room. All the pieces were falling in place. He would get his revenge before he left and he wasn't going out without a fight. Colson would pay.

"Hey Byron..have you sorted out the venue for the after party? The Banquet Manager just sent me a text that there was a mix up with the booking," Jax looked at his phone and frowned.
"What? I thought she had sorted out the issue with the double booking??" Byron stood up and raked his hand through his hair in frustration, "this is just what I need! I need to get this thing sorted before Colson finds out," Byron grabbed his coat, "please make sure he's on time for the sound check," he said before he rushed out,
"Checkmate," Jax grinned as he made his way to Colson's bedroom. He knocked softly and Y/N's melodic voice told him to come in.
"Hey Y/N-we need to get Colson out of here. I'll explain later," he hurried over and effortlessly lifted Colson over his shoulder, "please get dressed quickly."
"What's going on? Is everything okay?" Y/N furrowed her brows as she threw the covers aside and grabbed her shoes.
"That's what I'm trying to do-make sure everything is okay..including Colson," Jax made for the door, "Let's go-hurry please!" he implored.
Jax hoped that they didn't bump into anyone as they escaped from the hotel room. There was no way he would allow them to manipulate Colson-they would have to kill him first. Jax had vowed to Colson's father to protect him at all costs and he would; no matter what the cost. He would deal with Byron and Slim later. He was actually disappointed in Byron, he didn't expect him to go along with Slim's pea-brained scheme. Clearly Byron was all about the dollar signs and didn't care about Colson's well-being.
"Please open the door for me?" Jax asked when they got to the car.
"Sure-sorry let me get it," Y/N ran forward; opened the back seat of the SUV and then jumped in from the other side. She cradled his head an her lap and he began to stir. Colson's eyes fluttered open and then he fell asleep again, oblivious to what was going on around him.
"So we're going to hideout at a guest house close to Genval Lake until this whole thing blows over okay?" Jax drove away quickly but cautiously.
"Are you going to tell me what's going on now?" Y/N pursed her lips in a grim line as she stroked Colson's soft platinum hair.
"I will but you're not going to like it..just promise me you won't confront anybody?" Jax stared at her through the rear-view mirror, "promise."
"Fine," she sighed.
Jax filled her in on the whole debacle and Y/N went from shocked to super-pissed. Jax had to tell her again that confronting the perpetrators was not an option. She argued with him until she was red in the face but Jax was adamant.
"Let me handle this," he insisted; then "please?" in a gentle voice.
It was inevitable that Colson would wake up because of the heated discussion that was taking place, while he was half-asleep.
"Stop the car!" Colson shouted as he scrambled to sit up.
Jax didn't hesitate he slammed on the breaks by reflex. Colson threw open the door and barely made it out. He spewed his guts as soon as his knees hit the ground. Y/N grabbed a box of Kleenex and a bottle of water then went after him. Jax was crouched close by rubbing his back with a concerned look on his face.
"I'm sorry sweets. I know you didn't sign up for this," Colson croaked as Y/N dabbed his mouth and wiped the sweat of his face.
"I said I do didn't I?" Y/N jabbed at a joke.
"Guess you did," he gave a lopsided grin and drained the water from the water bottle.
"I feel like a third wheeler," Jax grumbled as he stood and dusted his jeans.
"Nothing new," Colson muttered and Jax punched his shoulder playfully.
"You're ready to go?" Jax asked.
"Yeah..just give me a minute," Colson leaned on the car as another wave of nausea seized him.
"I've got your meds in the car. Should I get them? They kind of helped last night.." Y/N suggested.
"Baby, I can't tell you how sorry I am.." Colson said dejectedly; his face filled with shame and remorse. He pulled her into his arms and leaned his forehead against hers.
"There's no need to apologize..I know you would do the same thing for me," she kissed his forehead then pulled his hand, "Let's get out of here."
"Are you good to go?" Jax started the car.
"Yeah," Colson replied, "what were you two arguing about earlier on? The truth please?" Colson put emphasis as he held Y/N's hand.
"Well..if you really want to know.." Jax sighed deeply; his hands tightened on the steering wheel.
"I do," Colson stated firmly.
Jax told him about the discussion that went on while he was in oblivion and didn't leave anything out. Colson clenched his jaw and didn't say anything until Jax was done talking. They even arrived at the house but Colson remained in the car and told them to go ahead without him, he would follow.
The house was a beautiful cosy villa consisting of an entrance hall, a bright living room with a wood stove and beautiful bay window overlooking the lake, a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast corner, the floors had a sumptuous studio and its adjoining terrace. It had four large bedrooms, including a master room with a dressing room, two large bathrooms with bath and shower. A haven of peace, in a quiet close with outdoor parking included.
Y/N went straight to the shower and afterwards proceeded to make brunch but Colson had beat her to it. He was busy cooking up a storm with the help of Jax. She stood at the door and just observed for a while before they noticed her.
"We're almost done here. Maybe you can help set the table on the terrace or the garden? You can choose," Colson turned back to the stove and busied himself again.
"He'll be fine. Don't worry okay?" Jax startled her and intruded her thoughts. He set the steaming, delicious food on the garden table, then put his hand on her shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze.
"Yeah..of course," she gave him a stiff smile and proceeded with him back to the kitchen.
"I think we're all set. I'll take the coffee outside and you kids can bring the toast once it's done," Jax said.
"Have you taken your meds?" Y/N asked Colson as she leaned on the counter.
"Yes mum," he teased, "stop worrying okay?" he kissed her on the cheek and smiled, "can we go and eat now? I'm staving!" he tugged Y/N's hand and pulled her back outside.
They made small talk as they ate and Y/N noticed that Colson seemed to be in a better mood. Either that or he was a very good actor..come to think of it-he was. He even had an Oscar to prove it..
*********************************************
"Sweets-please stop worrying! I'll be fine okay," Colson reassured his wife for the umpteenth time, "beside you will be right with me on the stage-isn't that enough?" he chuckled and cupped her face. She tried to focus on his hypnotic blue eyes instead of his enticing well-toned body. He had just stepped out of the shower with a towel loosely tied around his waist; smelling so fresh and looking too sexy. His golden locks were still dripping with water that slid slowly down his neck and coursed down his chest. She had never been so turned on by him as she was at this moment. He could literally make her do anything right now and she would be more than willing to oblige.
"Alright, alright," she said weakly when she remembered that they were supposed to be having an argument, "but if I feel that you are straining yourself then I will be forced to do something about it," she was bit her bottom lip.
"Gees sweets! You're beginning to sound like a typical nagging wife!" Colson laughed and she broke out of his embrace. Y/N couldn't get over his laugh. He looked so young and carefree. His beautiful features really stood out whenever he was happy; which was very rare.
"Cut it out Baker," she swatted his arm and folded her arms.
"I'm just teasing Bambi," he pulled her closer and kissed her softly. Unable to resist him as usual, her lips melted into his and they became one. The kiss ignited something in them and it went from being a mere spark to an uncontrollable inferno. Without breaking contact, Colson lifted her and gently placed her on the bed. Her hands were deeply buried in his hair; his hands were tracing every contour of her body. Their bodies fit perfectly together and they were lost in each other. Caught up in a world of their own where only two of them existed and their need for each other was the main purpose of their existence.
"I need you Y/N," Colson whispered as he pleaded with his intense arctic eyes that bored into her very soul. She could see the need in them and she needed him almost as much as he needed her. He turned up the music on the iPod when she silently gave her consent with a silent nod. He was sure that things were about to get a bit loud and more heated.
He was bound to lose control once he got a taste of her because he had wanted her from the moment he laid his eyes on her. She pulled him back to possess not only her lips but her mind, her body and her heart.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jax checked his watch and noticed that Colson would be late if they didn't leave soon. There was no sign of either him or Y/N and by the sound of the extremely loud baby-making music streaming downstairs from their bedroom; he knew they were definitely not playing Karaoke.
Jax sighed as he made his way upstairs. He didn't want to disturb them but he had to. Nonetheless he still felt bad. He raised his hand and pounded on the door and got no response until the third knock. The music was turned down considerably and Jax could hear movement.
"Go away Jax! We're almost ready," Colson called out.
"Don't let me come back again," Jax called, "you have exactly one hour to get ready," he said before turning to leave.
"I wish we didn't have to go," Colson groaned as he brushed his lips on Y/N's neck.
"The show must go on Baker," she pulled the covers over her exposed body and sat up.
"Do you regret it?" Colson asked as he furrowed his brows.
"Never," she said with pure conviction.
"Neither do I," his face broke into a smile, "I just wish I could do you all day.."his skilled hands started to rove again.
"Colson.." Y/N gasped as his lips found her weak spot.
"I love it when you say my name like that..it makes me want to take you over and over again.." he trailed her body with feather-light kisses and once again she was at his mercy.
Jax checked his watch again and shook his head. It's a good thing he told them they had exactly an hour to get ready instead on two hours. He knew they would disregard his warning. He stood outside the door and pounded on it once again. The door flew open and Colson stood there fully dressed but cussing him with his arctic orbs.
"That scowl on your face tells me that you're happy to see me," Jax grinned, "it's a good thing you're ready though..where is that dangerously gorgeous wife of yours?" he peered over Colson's shoulder.
"She's almost done," his face softened, "can we go and talk downstairs?"
"So what's on your mind?" Jax sank onto a nearby couch and stretched out his long legs.
"Did you make doubly sure that security will keep Slim out? I don't want him anywhere near the stadium," Colson stressed.
"Yeah I did. We got everything covered. It's under control okay?" Jax reassured him, "if you can step outside, you will see that we have beefed up the security around you as well."
"Good," Colson nodded and ran back up the stairs.
"I didn't know what to wear so.." Y/N shrugged as Colson gave her a once over. She was dressed in full white- ripped jeans, t-shirt and matching converse sneakers.
"You look good baby..you always do," Colson stepped forward, "except there's one little problem," he undid her messy bun and her beautiful, lush hair came tumbling down her back, "I prefer your hair like this," he kissed her nose and smiled.
"If it pleases the master," Y/N bowed her head and they laughed.
"Let's get out of here before the master throws you back on that bed," Colson jerked his head towards the bed.
"Not if I do it first.." she purred as she traced her finger suggestively down his chest. With that she exited the room without another word.
Colson stood there gulping down his own drool; every fiber of his being on fire...
