ough... my darling boy... my dear sweet arsonist... my favourite prision abolitionist... he's wanted for several crimes including but not limited to impersonating a senator...

one aspect about them i love

his kindness. this is an aspect of crutchie that actually used to REALLY irritate me until i saw matt duckett's performance - it felt like sia's 'music' where this disabled character just existed to be happy and sweet to everyone all the time. because disabled people are just nice! and cute! all the time! but with matt duckett, you get more of a sense that his kindness comes from an outright refusal to let the world turn him bitter. crutchie is FRUSTRATED, he's TIRED, he's living his life on a set of rules nobody else has to follow, but he still calls weasel 'mr wiesel' each morning. he still puts on a brave face for the kids and jokes around with his friends. he WILL have a kind and happy life, and fuck you for thinking he wouldn't :)

one aspect i wish more people understood about them

despite what i said about him being kind, crutchie is NOT a smiley hopeless optimist, and he never has been. does not matter which iteration of crutchie we are talking about - a realist putting on a brave face (eg AKB's crutchie) or a punk-ass cynic (eg matt duckett's crutchie) - he has always been aware of the world and how it works. as much as he puts on a brave face for people (eg letter from the refuge) he's still the one who says 'we've got the right to starve, let's just get our papes and go'. i do think this fandom's come a long way from reducing him to just the kind sweet 'my child' background character who lives and dies to support and inspire the abled characters, but i still see posts and fics that are just a little too eager to talk about what a sweet baby crutchie is. he is not. he is a menace. stop disgracing his name like that.

one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character

WELSH. HE'S WELSH. FUCK YOU. HE'S WELSH. 'sean' hanlon? i think you mean SIÔN hanlon :) he's a born and bred north-wales lad who immigrated to new york and he is fuelled by cawl, chaos and SPITE.

one character i love seeing them interact with

race. i get the feeling that while they're definitely friends, they do misunderstand each other at the beginning of the show. crutchie gets frustrated when race implies he only sells well because of his limp, race not only jokes about crutchie but calls him PITIFUL. but when crutchie comes back? 'it ain't been the same without ya...' i think they start to understand each other better after that, you can see it.

one character i wish they would interact with/interact with more

probably davey. i feel like there might be some initial awkwardness between them - jack's oldest, most trusted friend/brother and the guy who's suddenly become his right hand man - but i think that wouldn't last long. it'd be hilarious to see the chaos crutchie talks davey into doing - and to see davey let loose and have fun and be a kid with someone who isn't jack.

Mashwood is a classic, and i have to thank stampede for the amount of merywood interaction that fuels this ot3. i love the hc that they still see each other after stampede's July incident but i would also love some content where they see each other again after a while but each of them has turned into a different person. i think it would be nice for them three (plus milly) to meet at the same time in stampede. like wolfwood visits a tavern in a small town, merilly just happens to pass there on their trip and decides to get some sundae, and then there's eriks and rina. meryl has a diff style, wolfwood is in his cowboy era, vash is Like That, so they might not recognize each other until they hear someone speaks. although, after an episode of hectic gunfight ending with fluff, they realize that they're still them, no matter how much change. and then they get mad at vash for disappearing.

Merilly is definitely my second fav pairing in the old trigun after vashwood and i really really hope stampede would give us more sauce. in the old animanga we had a glimpse into both meryl and milly's family and how different the relationships are!! and you know how meryl isnt always straightforward with her words (even leaning ever so slightly into the tsundere archetype in the 98 anime) while milly sometimes seems like she doesn't think when she speaks but it always hits close to home? and also that meryl speaks a bit more formal than milly? also that meryl has a complicated relationship with her father to whom she doesn't speak much, whereas milly addresses every single member of her family and writes freely? we know the last thing meryl said in tristamp, "Hey, newbie!" she's already thinking about how to face her new colleague!! to be a senpai!! it makes sense if you think how in 98 trigun meryl would sometimes say "this is work, milly!" don't you think they go so well together. don't you think we need more fic/art where they have a heart-to-heart talk during their long work trip, perhaps on the topic of family or stuff like "is this really only work to you?" like in the old one. idk. i've seen some people say that in tristamp, milly and roberto might be related which is why milly requested to work under meryl. if milly IS related to roberto i hope it will make merilly closer than they appeared to be in the old trigun. also, regarding stampede s1 finale: roberto is dead. to meryl, vash is also dead. we dont know where wolfwood is, i love the idea of them meeting from time to time, but we clearly saw meryl alone at the end of ep 12. the angst of meryl as a senpai trying to protect her kouhai, like her senpai did (bonus point if milly is actually related to roberto) so that she wont repeat the past. and milly convincing meryl that whatever happened in the past wasn't her fault and that she did the right thing as best as she could, and that she is a senpai milly loves looks up to. ough. they complement each other and are able to make trigun stampede season 2 a yuri anime.

im not really big into crackship so I've never considered milly/elendira but now that you mention it... yeah why not. its not like a total crackship either they do make sense somewhat.

This is going to be long, but that's because there are just so many pieces you've written that have stuck with me.

First, your Disc War Finale fics. They're how I discovered your writing, and I was absolutely mesmerized by your ability to capture the characters' personalities flawlessly. You satisfied a craving that I deeply desired, and you fulfilled it in a way that left me speechless. I immediately user-subscribed once I finished them.

Next, it obviously has to be TDDD. It's a masterpiece of a fic and deserves all the credit it gets and more. The moments that specifically stand out are Tommy's finger, everything with Tubbo's flowers (their symbolism is just. ough), Wilbur drawing the messages for Ghostbur in Limbo (and then later standing in a Limbo that was Not Made For Him Anymore), the enderman, Tommy's unbridled fear in the moment TDDD and Wake Up (which I'll get to in a moment) diverge, and literally Everything about the final chapter. The L'Manberg anthem around the campfire was so cathartic that I sobbed profusely as I read it. (Even now, just thinking about it makes me tear up.) TDDD is one of the best fics in the fandom, and your passion for this story, these characters, and your writing shows in every word. It's a fic that I know I'll treasure and re-read forever.

Next is Wake Up. From the moment you announced this fic, I knew it would be a doozy, and right from the first chapter, I was blown away by your portrayal of c!Dream. You are absolutely one of, if not the BEST c!Dream writers in this fandom. You play to his sadism, his obsession, his immaturity, his vicious playfulness, and his intelligence so well, and it truly shows him to be a TERRIFYING villain. I wanted to highlight him specifically with Wake Up because this story is truly his his greatest wish and Tommy and Wilbur's worst nightmare. The brief taste of freedom they had only to be dragged back to a living hell only emphasizes how devastating that transition is. The build-up to Tommy's kidnapping and the immediate aftermath is just so masterfully written than I genuinely cannot pick out a specific moment that was my favorite, but beyond that, the tour of the new base (especially the reveal that it was underwater), the chickens, and the ending of the latest chapter are the stand-out moments of the fic. Each of these moments sent me into the stratosphere, and I know as the fic continues, there will be plenty more to leave me reeling. It's horrifying; it's devastating; it's phenomenal.

And finally, your Mafia AU. I absolutely adore Mafia!Tubbo so much that I genuinely can't describe it. His need to adapt so quickly to his constantly changing circumstances and stand strong and firm to survive is so quintessential to c!Tubbo, and while you've always executed that characteristic flawlessly, it absolutely shines in this AU. His scene with Schlatt's old crew is absolutely breathtaking. I can't wait to see how else he'll develop going forward.

This ask is only a fraction of my love for your writing. You are by far my favorite author in the fandom, and you constantly inspire me to keep going with my own fics. Your dedication and craft is outstanding. Thank you for writing, and thank you for sharing it with us. :]

anyways

he’s a bit distant at the start, given everything he’s been through and currently going through (plus darkness gang being around)

it’s not that he doesn’t love you, he does, he’s just scared

the very embodiment of that one quote where it was like

“I’ll take care of you,” “It’s rotten work.” “Not to me, not if it’s you.”

because OUGH that shit hits HARD

the relationship was a definite slowburn (written by impatient people), whether or not you were part of the darkness gang

it's also a secret because *gestures*

since they'd worry about you getting tangled up in the business and or become collateral

if it was pre-corruption arc and fall of the cacao kingdom then HOO that's all angst no comfort BABYYYYY-

post darkness gang is hurt/comfort healing, oh and at some point darkness gang will know about you :)

just to ramble a bit before going back to relationship stuff

licorice is the closest with dark choco (or as close as you can get), mostly due to some solidarity of self esteem issues and (supposed on licorice’s end) mommy and daddy issues

this is more evident with some sympathy towards the lad whenever pomegranate did the whole memory thing in whichever chapter of darkness it was in kingdoms

so that’s why licorice (also a he/they king but with the added bonus of he/they/it/xey) was named the (best?) wingman

anyways back to relationship stuff and licorice in the background being the best wingman xey can be

dark choco’s love language is acts of service and gift giving! they like to give you flowers (since there isn’t much else he can really do)

he’s the embodiment of this image whenever they hand you a flower

it ain’t much but it’s an honest work (it’s the sentiment that counts)

you guys don’t really go out for dates, opting to simply be with each other and be comfortable

though it does turn into a somewhat fun gang of “Where can I hide Y/N without the others knowing”

the weirdest place you’ve hidden was the tower of chaos

red velvet was somewhat chill with it

you just had to give the cake hounds some attention while you were there so overall it was a weird place to hide but it wasn’t bad

the tower of chaos itself however, was very intimidating

dark choco is a bit rigid when it comes to PDA or any affection overall, not very keen on over the top kisses or hugs

he does like to do the whole “three taps means i love you” thing though, does it very often in place of other physically affectionate acts

they do eventually soften up to some kisses and hugs but not too much, still prefers the three taps

this is most prevalent whenever he has nightmares, waking up thinking he had managed to become your downfall

they’d gently shake or tap you awake three times, if that doesn’t work he’d opt to cry about it alone

obviously you weren’t very happy about this whenever you find out, but hey, talk it out a bit and it’ll get resolved

sitting down with dark choco to talk about this stuff is pretty difficult, especially since he isn’t very generous when it comes to information about himself

it worries you how little you actually know about him

licorice was VERY adamant that dark choco should talk to you about this stuff, but not exactly having to reveal every fuckin’ thing

just talk, please, communicate

of course it was difficult at first, dark choco didn’t even know WHERE to start or even how

but with some gentle coercion and encouragement from you, he’d eventually start with his little worries, leading into the bigger issues they hold on their shoulders

this became almost a nightly thing, generally speaking late night talks were nearly normal

the darkness gang are all insomniacs and nocturnal LMAO

but it was certainly a way to bond and get to know more about him

plus lulling you into a gentle sleep? the good shit

also when the rest of the darkness gang find out about you and dark choco, y’all are subjected to a lot of (gentle) bullying, except from pomegranate, she’d bully you two regardless <3

dark enchantress doesn’t get to know LMAO she can stay unaware with the help (yes including pomegranate somehow) of the darkness gang

Yknow i shit on fo3 a LOT (rightfully so to be fair is a fucking mess) but its still my favirote fallout game

So a shout out to the thing in the game that I DO like

Lone wanderers dad is a good man i like him a lot

The lone wanderers story is very cool i genuinely like it a lot, its not as intertwined with all of the world like the couriers is but its simple connection tk your dad who was is very neat. This story of legacy and sacrifice

The lyon pride, while I still have complaints about how this group was like executed in the game i think it has a lot of potential! I think something very interesting could have come from it if fo3 didn't feel so half done. AND i think fo4 with is BoS leg humpy behavior they rEALLY could have pulled from fo3 story but they don't and it feels so week I have so much to say in how they could have done the BoS in fo4 but that's a long rant for another day

Elder lyons and Sarah Lyons while still have the same general issues I have this the pride I still like them and think their cool

Star paladin!! My fuckin God mother who none of the fandom even tries to remember exist??? The only time I see people remembering she exist is to fuckin whitewash her and make her young and sexy for mods >:(

The family, they were dumb and coulsa been way cooler buT the fact there sure were a cult of people who clearly gained health from drinking blood living in the sewers is very very funny. Just some fucking vampires in the sewers

The metro, I know the trains suck to navigate but you KNOW while your down their its just kinda cozy and fun to be down there

Charon, yes another thing of fo3 that feels like it just isn't finished and could be more but I do know we all love Charon

In general all of the underworld was very neat and characters in there like charon, snowflake and gobs moms! Love it

Gob!! Once again its a place in the game that feels like it could flesh out more but :/ guess ill die!

The republic of Dave, fuck Dave im the king of his fyckin funny civilization

That one randomly spawning group of hockey players who basically had diamond city's idea of baseball being a blood sport but for hockey which, very funny orginal kings

Butch deloria, he is very funny and I love him very much. Absolutly all I love, goofy grease who's gang consist of like 2-3 people and their all cowards. Also butch is the only companion in the game it feels like you sorta actually have companion quest with.

Point lookout, I think that dlc is VERY fun. I like the feel of it and it has neat stuff. Plus the cult shit which let's you do stuff in the dlc area AND in the main game area.

Mother ship zeta dlc was boring as shit BUT very specifically the abominations scream pointing at me very funny. Very funny alien abduction. But beside that kinda not a good dlc

The pitts, while again ough problems. Playing as a good person and getting to absolutly kill the shit outta the slavers and take their baby and baby is yours now is very fun. Ans those funny horrible creatures running around while you collect iron

I personally find it funny that the timeline decided that the lone wanderer did all of their shit in a years time. Just seems funny compared to the other main characters who like the sole, spends years looking for their son. And the lone wanderer restore project purity and the distribution of clean water to the wasteland

The antagonist and mechanist started in f3 and are so funny like? Their just?? Fuckin weirdos ruining everyone's day and have?? Super powers (ar least one of them?) Like?? Their just making today bad for local citizens as they fucking best the shit out of each other with robots and ants?

The Harkness quest was so neat and was literally this bridge into the fo4 story yet the institution is literally nothing AND they don't bring up hid nor hair of Harkness??? WhY isn't he mentioned in any way??? Anyways I love harkness thats my friend

All of little lamplight and big town. Little lamplight are my children I care about them their all terrible and have cute names dogs. And big town fuckin makes me so sad those are my friends

right now? either vera or mabel. vera is... not Right, and not Wanted by the outside world, so she’s angry and stupid to combat it. and mabel just... loves Her Person more than anything in the world, so there’s that.

again, mabel!! she’s so fun and angry all the time and it’s so freeing to just be able to do whatever the hell you WANT with a character

i write a lot of drabbles, but my proudest works are my long fic!!! i also plot way too much and i love to do it.

Do you wish you were the other?

i have no idea what this means but... yeah i guess? How would you describe your writing process?

pace around my entire house looping one (1) song thinking of one (1) scene. figure out exactly what it would take to get the characters to that point. write like 2000 words, fall asleep, cant make words for the next three years.

What do you envy in other writers?

oh god, everything. i don’t know how to make my words flow like certain people do, RIVER

Do you want your writing to be famous?

god no. my stories are mine.

yes! here! there’s one story i’ve only shared with two people and that’s my borderline-ridiculous ‘beetlejuice with lab rats and gay shit and werewolves’ au, it’s the most self indulgent thing i’ve ever written and i love it so much.

At what point in writing do you come up with a title?

usually while listening to songs!! fr example my most recent posted fic is a lyric from ‘cop car’ by mitski because the line ‘i get mean when i’m nervous / like a bad dog’ makes me think of mabel, thus that fic came into existence.

Which is harder: titles or summaries (or tags)?

SUMMARIES i hate summaries usually i just paste in whatever i’ve got as the first sentence.

Tried anything new with your writing lately? (style, POV, genre, fandom?)

not really? new fandom but. i got my bread and butter, dude, i don’t feel like branching out. writing’s just a hobby i’m okay at.

Do you think readers perceive your work - or you - differently to you? What do you think would surprise your readers about your writing or your motivations?

i don’t think so !! like some of the stuff is personal and you can’t really understand from an outside POV, but. most of it is just dorky found family stuff!

Do any of your stories have alternative versions? (plotlines that you abandoned, AUs of your own work, different characterisations?) Tell us about them.

oh dear god yes... i mean. obvs river youre asking this youre aware of my aus. but i have a billion aus, theyre my favorite thing to write and ive got at least three for every fandom i’m in. i have an au for my lab rat beetlejuice au, too, which i’ll get around to writing someday.

Is there something you always find yourself repeating in your writing? (favourite verb, something you describe ‘too often’, trope you can’t get enough of?)

ALL I DO IS DESCRIBE PEOPLE’S TEETH AND PHYSICAL AFFECTION. uhh i use the phrase ‘bared their teeth / had far too many teeth / smiled with too many teeth’ a lot, its because i find it the easiest descriptor for monsters and i like to write about monsters.

Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)

ohh god okay youngmabel take three. anna wears soft reds and lots of layers-- to contrast mabel, who wears a thin nightgown and has a bright green color palette. this is largely because mabel has been made to show herself to everyone who’s tried to control her (sally, aurora silver, etc) while anna hides in herself. anna specifically wears one of mónica’s old sweaters, because she can hide and protect herself with her family, while mabel cant. also i love mónica im so hype to have her in the series. mabel also repeats things in groups of threes (”hello, hello, hello, anna, hello, hello, hello”) because she’s fae. i love her. ough and i cant wait for the character development you guys rnt ready fr this dumb series

What other medium do you think your story would work well as? (film, webcomic, animated series?)

I WOULD LOVE FR IT TO BE AN ANIMATED SERIES but also it as a film would rock.... yeahhhhh

Do you reread your old works? How do you feel about them?

my xmen ones, yeah. they’re really comforting for me. i feel like i wanna give my kid self a big big hug.

What’s the story idea you’ve had in your head for the longest?

probs the daemons au or the agents of shield / xmen crossover.. those both gave baby abbey a lot of fun hours.

Would you say your writing has changed over time?

yeah! ive gotten better i think

You're so right about the Will Roland fanart problems. It seems like back when Will Roland was only known for Jared people were way more proWill because he could be their funny meme boi who ate bathbombs but now that he's a lead with all these emotional songs it's like God forbid he's not their "twink bby". Idk it annoys me so much especially when people draw the rest of the Broadway cast and still use WillC or do an animatic with WillRs voice and WillCs character ugh like. Accept the Roland pls

really like, i have never come across any signs of there having been any pattern in the deh fandom of ~taking issue~ with will’s Abilities to sing or play the part of a struggling teen or whatever like what crops up re: him being the lead in bmc.....it also is unsurprising yet disappointing that like, jared and alana are so easily completely ignored, but when they Are acknowledged it’s super flattened interpretations like, either they’re both hypocritical jerks (just based on evan’s gfy accusations basically lol) or if they’re actually viewed in a positive way it’s just like, alana is your friendly local Model Student and jared is memes and neither of them are in the way! :3

you litrally cannot ignore jeremy the Whole Entire Main Character tho and also like. can’t ignore the fact that caring about jeremy as a Romantique Lead is ahhh important to many ppl in the fanbase? so him being regarded as ~less cute~ is more of an Issue b/c the character must be taken seriously and is the sympathetic hero and has a lot more solo material / more of Any material / more focus than jared does in deh.........you Have To Look At Him and care about his actual feelings and not just misinterpret the character as “has no serious emotions b/c he doesn’t say serious things in a serious tone” the way ppl misinterpret jared. there’s the assumption that someone who is good / sympathetic should also be attractive / cute / Personally Appealing To Look At and that wasn’t as much a conflict when ppl didn’t think it was important to sympathize / care about / pay attention to jared too much, and the “conflict” of caring abt jeremy’s capacity for a romantic relationship but that’s less important if he’s not as Cute also not being as much an issue when most people don’t care about jared’s romantic feelings or think that they exist despite jared being in love with evan But Anyways

like it is wild the things people will just make up to “justify” their Dislike for will, which has only manifested as apparent Issues thanks to him playing jeremy rather than jared........there’s the classic “mm idk i don’t think he can sing that well” approach which like. some people are just trying to say they do not like the inherent descriptive qualities of his voice, which is more nasal obviously and don’t anyone come in here with the “Actually the Technical definition of Nasal re Vocals is” b/c we know what i mean, alright? nasal voices are not considered ~serious~ and there’s the kneejerk dumb-annoying-loser-nerd association. god knows that jeremy heere canNot have characteristics that could be automatically judged as irritating and unappealing. then there’s the notion that He doesn’t have the (vocal) range!! which like. do you honestly think they would cast someone who doesn’t have the correct range. you’re aware that will roland was being considered for the part of jeremy in the two river run up to the last round of callbacks. you know that the song that was literally written expressly to suit will roland’s individual voice and singing abilities makes use of his falsetto which people go “omg he can’t hit those high notes” except sometimes when they misattribute his falsetto to other singers they suddenly find it worth complimenting. and then you get people who like, want to subscribe to this softened version of it and get all backhanded like “oh i think will’s vocals are improving whew that’s good” in any random video and always Only single him out apparently like. did you think he gets worse with experience? you don’t wanna talk about any of these other professional singers improving or worsening or anything? only wanna give ur assessment of william’s huh

honestly i for real haven’t seen the 1.0 version b/c i’m here via will roland in the first place & i’ve never gotten the impression that there’s some Essential Content i’m missing out on by having only seen 2.0........but between a) people complaining that will r’s jeremy is Too Frustrated He Shouldn’t Be That Angry It Makes Him Less Sympathetic and b) saying just as a point of comparison betwixt the depictions that will r’s jeremy is more frustrated and c) i haven’t read That much bmc fic but people sure talk about jeremy being like five seconds away from bursting into tears at any given moment which like, okay yeah aren’t we all, but also i presume this stems from will c’s apparently Sadder portrayal of jeremy. i almost forgot where i was going with this one but i think it’s just that yeah people truly take issue with will r’s jeremy being more frustrated and it’s like you realize there’s no Right or Wrong portrayal / interpretation even if you prefer one for whatever reasons......theatre just is Like that.......you have a slightly different portrayal during ever performance even from the same actors, and you’ll often have different actors playing the role........yeah people usually are attached to the first performance they see / have that as their Standard and that’s fine, it’s just like, you don’t have to decide that’s an Objective view and that you have Objective issues with everyone else’s take. 1.0 is still there for you

uhhhh oh yeah and the whole Clout idea lmao......people really putting themselves out there shaking their heads at the supposed fact that will was cast for the off bway run to Boost Popularity b/c he was part of the deh obc......besides the whole thing that it’s hardly likely that would’ve been considered necessary anyhow, there’s the little thing that a) again, will roland had already been very seriously considered for the part even before will connolly was decided on for the original run and b) like.....these people had been collaborating for eons and you really think will roland only popped into their minds thanks to being in deh....and c) joe iconis has repeatedly said they specifically did Not want to cast people based on who was Known enough and whose names would be good for marketing and d) maybe anyone has noticed that the marketing never involved any mention of anyone in the cast? no? cool. and yet people like so truly think they’re Wise to ~real reason~ that they’d go and cast will roland as the lead. like people are making shit up and really just thinking it’s true b/c they Want it to be true b/c they Want to be validated in having actual contempt for will’s casting despite the “issue” being that he doesn’t seem as Likeable (worthy of sympathy...cough...) thanks to his deemed-unattractive looks and sweetly-adenoidal voice and more-frustrated portrayal all seeming less cute or whatever

and i mean i haven’t seen it crop up of late but the one particular Grasping At Straws ~justification~ for will being unworthy of the part thanks to perceived acting/singing incompetence which is soooo wild is when people are like “ough i Hate when he just holds his arms out when he sings” like fmslkdj if anything that’s just an individual quirk and the fact that it was something you noticed means you just latched on to it as potential fodder for “the fact i registered this information abt someone whose existence i Resent means it distracted me which means i hate it and it’s bad”...like another thing he does with his hands while singing is when he makes the loose claws and kind of half crosses his arms in front of his chest! where are the complaints about that?? nowhere, b/c people have not really processed it as a particular thing, so they can’t deem it a Particular Thing To Criticize. people sometimes Notice that his jared talks with his hands a lot, which will says is an acting choice that came from an unconscious tendency, but people really only bring it up to juxtapose will’s jared’s dramatic tendencies and nervous habits with sky’s jared’s more outwardly still and smoothed-over behavior. aka they don’t Complain about it or deem it a weakness / bad thing. and yet people caring about bmc are really jumping on that chance to be like oh ugh there he goes again, having a characteristic i associate with him as an individual, disgusting, can’t believe will connolly was murdered for this..

it’s a bit clearer too with bmc moreso than deh that people aren’t super willing to accept how will roland Looks b/c like, thanks to will connolly’s jeremy having the long hair thing you can Tell The Difference In Which Actor Is Represented when ppl draw the character even if the rest of the features are kind of “generic” (and how even the costuming isn’t a dead giveaway since ppl will draw connolly jeremy in 2.0/3.0′s outfits) and it even serves to specify the actor in writing format too if they mention the hair lol........and honestly?? this fact is one of the most damning things lol in that people the reason so many ppl continue to produce connolly-based jeremys is Not because for whatever reason they can’t / it’s too difficult to draw a will roland lookin jeremy......like a lot of the time The trait which serves to distinguish between the two is the hair thing. people are adopting jeremy’s new costuming and stuff but choosing to make sure we know that jeremy does not Look like will roland and the clearest indicator of this is the longer hair thing......which also means that for many people the main effort they’d need to exert to make it clear they’re drawing wrol jeremy would just be to....shorten the hair. And Yet!!!! it is apparently beyond people to do this

like uh nice on making a lgw animatic but really.........really we’re gonna take the song that is specifically from the 2.0 / 3.0 runs, so it’s obvious we’re Accepting that non-1.0 content, okay......and we’re Accepting will roland’s vocals, which, a person’s voice is a physical trait of theirs too, same as The Existence Of Their Body........and yet jeremy Cannot Look Like How Will Roland Looks, that’s too far, can’t do that. we can take material from the specific versions the actor was cast in, that material being a song written specifically for this individual actor’s voice, in the form of this actor’s actual vocals......but can’t have the depicted image of jeremy be based on this actor’s appearance..............of all the......

really all that it is is that more people find will connolly more attractive than will roland and this makes them feel like will roland Is Worse and then the people who just run with that either just embrace that and are crashing around on public forums saying Lol i hate him cuz he’s ugly lmao....and then you have people who don’t wanna do that but don’t wanna actually examine why they ~take issue~ with will being cast and so they’ve gotta leap on any Other things about him that feel more acceptable / Objective like oh the portrayal is “Wrong” (that’s not how this works) or he can’t sing well enough (yeah he can) or high enough (yeah he can) or he was stunt cast (no he wasn’t) or they wanna label every characteristic / trait they can think up that Isn’t his physical appearance as Annoying And Bad like. maybe stop and ask why you find it SO pressing that this other actor has the part and it Must be objectively inferior if not ruinous for reasons you gotta invent about him being incompetent cuz it’s better to make stuff up about how a professional actor isn’t good enough for a part than to say you don’t think he’s cute enough and are bothered by that

it didn’t matter as much to people when they viewed his character as either Just A Joke or Just A Jerk or flat-out disposable material. being attractive is for serious sympathetic beloved characters, natch

unfortunately jeremy can’t be written off as The Unimportant Meme Friend With No Real Feelings so now there’s a whole problem if an actor is not as cute

like b/c of the way he looks ppl can accept that a character played by will roland can be funny or can be rude or can really not be too important to take seriously / consider complex or sympathetic or likeable beyond being a walking Running Joke, but when it comes to a sympathetic main character whose emotional state is so important it’s practically assigned a character and who’s a romantic lead? now people have a problem with him looking the way will roland does

First Character You Loved:

Jonathan Joestar - who cant love Jonathan fr? He was so noble and good, but deep in his heart he has an anger and he is DRIVEN to protect his friends and destroy evil. Also that panel in the manga where he goes ape shit on some chocolate is a mood

Sora - hes baby. Thats it, hes baby. Sora is such a good sweet character, who is somehow goofy and naive while also being probably one of the most traumatized characters in the kh fandom. Hes just so driven, much like Jonathan, to care for his friends. Sora is the kind of person to walk into a room of people he doesnt know and walk out with new friends, i loved him from the moment i got into kh as a kid and i still love him now.

Kazuma Kiryu - AH. Hes just so stoic and cold by exterior, being an absolutely massive threatening yakuza, but in his heart? Hes a sweet man. Hes driven to protect his loved ones and he'll do so at any cost, and honestly i love that in a character. Hes also kind of stupid sometimes so its just an added bonus, how genuinely sweet he can be and how easily things fly over his head. A perfect mix of sweet and stupid, thats Kazuma Kiryu.

Character You Never Expected to Love so Much:

Caesar Zeppeli. Hes just? So loveable. At first he was such an asshole, but he had such a good reason to be. His and Joseph's friendship is clearly a very important thing too, and I like how Joseph carried on Caesar's legacy in his passing. Rip my spaghetti man.

This ones a hard one. I'll have to say a fair half of organization 13, because after reading the mangas ive been driven to love them despite not thinking I would. Axel and Saix in particular, then people like Demyx, and Luxord. They all have so much character and honestly? I love them!

Goro Majima, it took me a playthrough of yakuza 0 to realize how much i love his character. How hes not just "im fuckin crazy", hes actually driven and has a terrible backstory and Ough. Poor guy. I guess a lot of people stan him too because hes one of the main guys, but i do have to appreciate how his madness has a reason.

Sora. Why? Because sora goes through so MUCH and wholeheartedly loves his friends, hed give anything to see them safe. He goes through so many trials, and gets absolutely SHIT on for it. The failure of the mark of mastery exam wasnt even his own fault, but he gets kicked for it. It feels like there isnt a moment they stop mocking him for it, but sora smiles, and congratulates Riku for becoming a master because he's his best friend. Also, much like sora, im baby and i dont know shit
