it isn’t the most comfortable position to be in. you’ve been kneeling on the floor for quite some time now, waiting for your assigned client. your palms begin to sweat to a minimal but uncomfortable degree. did i fuck up already? you ask yourself as your mind clouds with questions, doubts, and even judgement regarding this new job.
“jesus, what did i get myself into…” you recall the long process it took for you to end up here. the intensive (and ridiculously long) process of reading and signing multiple forms and documents almost had you backing out of this opportunity. though looking back at it, it was understandable since it’s quite unheard of to be… a sex worker for superheroes.
for an incredible pay, your privacy will essentially be stripped away starting from today. all phone messages, calls, and social media activities will be monitored during your venture as a sex worker, and that post-graduate life was not going to pay itself. for the most part, so far everything seemed… great? being driven to work by a chauffeur, having your own personal room and health coverage provided, and most importantly… eating free lunch was not bad at all.
or maybe you’re just naïve.
all you had to do was kneel and suck a few superhumans off. as the newbie, you were told that you’ll be starting on gloryhole duty due to privacy reasons; at least until you built enough camaraderie. though, you didn’t even mind since there would certainly be less strain on your body.
you couldn’t help but snicker at the mere thought of an entire league of superheroes holding a meeting regarding this subject matter. especially since almost everyone in the world, including you, holds these superheroes in such high regard.
“meeting is adjourned until 9 am tomorrow! until then, please help yourself to some delicious food trucks from outer spac-“ your humorous imitation of a noble superhero is silenced when you hear the door opening. within your private booth, all that blocks you from meeting your approaching client is another door with a hole cut through.
your curiosity is piqued when you catch a sight of the man’s physique through the hole. plaid shirt and jeans aside, and assuming he had to underdress, he’s huge. maybe because you’re kneeling right now, or maybe it’s the fact that you’ve never been near a superhero before, but you couldn’t help but be in awe at the size of the man. your eyes complete a full body scan by the time he approaches the door and before you could say something, he does.
“sorry i was late-“ a gentle voice echoes behind the door. contrary to his soft voice, the man’s large hands work aggressively at his belt, unlooping the leather with impatience yet eagerness as he anticipates the mouth that’s been waiting for his arrival. “there was this whole thing with this cat in this tree and then this school bus got hijacked- not my best day, unfortunately.”
“i’m sorry to hear that. sounds like a stressful day, yeah?” your voice is compassionate. you felt bad for the unnamed superhero and a part of you wanted to continue the conversation further, but your job isn’t to listen to their feelings. it’s to pleasure.
“yeah…” a huge sigh of relief expels from the man’s dry throat when he pulls his pants down. frustration stains another one of your client’s sigh, clearly troubled by the restrictive fabric guarding his erection. you watch with parted lips as he couldn’t help but give himself a needy stroke through his tight briefs, fondling his balls then beelining his palm to the very plump tip of his cock. your own cock hardens at this scene, and you find yourself doing the very same. mimicking his impatient hand to tend to the sensitive pressure below, you tiptoe the fine line between frustration and pleasure as your tightening pants and briefs define what it means to be an absolute nuisance. “very stressful.”
it doesn’t take much time before you’re faceful of cock and somehow, you manage to salivate more than you did a minute ago. the man’s throbbing erection is brimmed with thick pre-cum, stress practically leaving his body with every drip. it’s a heavenly sight that’s enough to make you stick your tongue out just in time to catch the substance into your mouth, not wanting to waste a single drop. the salty taste always catches you off-guard yet at the same time, it puts you under a spell. a tantalizing spell that commands you to drag your warm tongue over and back the underside of his thick shaft, completely avoiding the plump glans to have his cock leak even more… stress.
the taste of his musk drives your palm further into your erection, palming at whatever you could as you preoccupy yourself with teasing the man. you almost felt bad for him. contrary to his build, his whimpers are… so small, so weak. you notice his hands grip over the top of the barrier, and it turns you on upon realizing how this supposed hero could become so fragile at the simple taunt of your tongue.
“please…” the superhero whimpers out, needlessly fucking the air in hopes of granting his cock some type of friction. you’re amazed, and a little proud, by how much pre-cum he’s been leaking by now, and it all goes right onto your tongue. the wet muscle follows the natural curve of his cock to meet up with the wet and plump head. his hips buckle into the barrier and feeling it shake, you keep him steady by wrapping your hand around his shaft. you’re addicted at this point. addicted to the salty taste of his pre-cum as your tongue licks and explores into the slit of his cock, while at the same time, your hand works at his large cock in slow, but steady strokes.
“oh christ-“ he breathes out, repeating the same two words under his shaky breath as you continue to pleasure him with your tongue and hand. after a few licks, you pull away to give your tongue a break. in doing so, your grip tightens around his shaft to pace your strokes quicker. when you find a moment where your wrist needs a break, you let your client catch his breath. his cock throbbing more and more with every passing second when your tongue and hand aren’t exploring him, and you bask in the sight of it. you believe you deserve a medal at this point. not for doing a great job (though, it doesn’t seem too far-fetched), but for having control. you haven’t even sucked him off yet, but you’re content on remaining just like this for a while longer. though, that wouldn’t be fair for the superhero.
before he could whimper out another plea, your warm mouth finally wraps around the head of his cock and your ears perk at the sound of his low moan almost instantly. your hand returns to its rightful position around the lower base of his penis as you cycle your tongue over the glans, satisfying your need to taste his musk once more. seconds later, your hand lets go when you push your head farther, taking in an inch more of the hero’s cock. your knees dig into the floor as you push your head more and more, stretching your mouth with his cock until you feel yourself gagging.
“fuck.” you sniffle out when you pull back. perhaps you were challenging yourself too hard. you think to yourself as you catch your breath, using the remaining moment to sloppily jerk him off with your saliva. part of you wanted to challenge yourself to deepthroat him, impress your client on the first day. but you already know you wouldn’t be able to take it… at least, for now.
“you could hurt someone with this, y’know?” for some reason, you thought you needed to crack a joke as if there was an awkward silence that needed to be filled. maybe you just wanted to hear him talk again. his voice is warm and inviting, somewhat fitting for a superhero or even a television host as the moment you hear his voice again, you felt safe.
“i have before- oh god.” you lube up his cock with your spit as you continue to jerk him off, refraining yourself from fucking his slit with your tongue again to concentrate on his words. “which is why i don’t do this much- sex and stuff… it’s all troublesome, really.”
“yeah?” and just when you talked yourself out of challenging yourself, you feel the competitive spark ignite inside of you again. “well, i guess you just have to find the right one. could be anyone, even people you just met.” you try to play it nonchalantly, hoping that double-handing his wet cock would distract him.
he was beyond speechless at this point, moans drawn out by means of your sloppy strokes. you swear you can hear his heartbeat behind the barrier when you lean your head closer to suck him off again. you moan along with him, drawing out every breath of yours as you bob your head up and down, taking more of his cock every time you come down. your hand twists and strokes the remaining few inches that isn’t violated by your tongue and mouth, following your mouth like a reel as your intent to make him cum is fervent more than ever.
it hurts. your mouth hurts by how large your client is and tears brim in your eyes as you hold yourself back from gagging. but you don’t stop yourself because you’ll know it’ll be worth it. your endeavor to please him to the fullest has you drowning out his groans into white noise and you can barely register the fact that you’ve been on paused for a while now. you find yourself in a closer position than before, where your mouth is open, lips fully pressed around the carved hole as the superhero fucks into your mouth, fucks into your gags like you’re his personal flesh light. you didn’t care how dirty you looked, how you had saliva and spittle dripping out from the corners of your mouth and onto the floor. who would see? and you didn’t care that you were too preoccupied to touch your dick right now, because you know you’ll be thinking about this very moment for the rest of your life. and right now, you didn’t know if you wanted to be covered in his cum or to have your mouth be filled with it.
remaining in this position, you glance your teary eyes up at his grip over the barrier again. the strength in his grasp forms small cracks in the material of the barrier and that was the sign you knew you fulfilled your sense of purpose.
“christ, i’m going to come-“ your eyes shut again and you breathe through your noise, bracing for impact. he pushes his cock down your throat and hits that sore spot one last time before unloading his cum into your mouth with a stifled groan. warm, hot seed quickly fills you up and you pull your head back an inch to fully enclose your lips around his cock, ensuring none escape your lips.
in a heartbeat, you swallowed it all. his warm cum coats the back of your throat like medicine and you moan around his cock at the taste, intoxicated. you made sure to lick every inch of his cock clean, calmly slurping any saliva and cum that threatens to leave your mouth as you pull back up with a soft pop, swallowing the remaining remnants of his stress away.
“t-thank you. i needed that…” he pulls his softening cock out, careful in avoiding the hole as he was still sensitive. “did you need a tissue or anything? i think i have one somewhere…” you can hear him rummage through what you can only assume would be his bag and you find it charming, a quiet laugh leaving your swollen lips as you lean back onto your elbows to take a breather and stretch your legs out.
“no, no. i’m okay. i, uh, don’t think i wasted a drop.” you proudly brag, only for him to respond with a shy chuckle. you watch him tidy himself through the hole from a leaned back view, occasionally tilting your head in various angles to see if you could catch a glimpse on who the mysterious superhero is, but the barrier remains an obstruction to your view.
“well then, i… uh… thank you for your service.” he covers up the silence with another laugh and you join in, re-adjusting his pants and belt before turning his back towards you and heading out the booth. “i’ll try not to be late next time.”

Happy New Year, friends! A new year, a new obsession story! I keep finding myself playing in Tomarang all the time: it's beautiful and I love it, and this story has been in the works (writing, setting up) pretty much since the day after the expansion dropped. It owes its existence to not just my enjoyment of Tomarang, but because a conversation with a friend got me thinking: my friend claimed that writing stories about how a couple meets and gets together is far more entertaining than writing stories about that same couple once they are together. I disagree! This is my formal protest! 😊
Transcript:
Lee: So…Thoughts? Henry: Can we even afford this place? It’s huge! Lee: Believe it or not, it’s half the price of our one-bedroom in San Sequoia. Henry: Are you sure? I won’t have to sell my body to the night to support my cute husband through medical school?
Lee: No, because your cute husband is also your smart husband and got a full scholarship. Henry: Then, can you hire me for my salacious services anyway?… Lee: Henry. Focus. Auntie Mei will be here with the keys any minute. If you don’t like it, I’ll tell her we’re ready to see the next place. Henry: What do you think? Do you like it?
Lee: I do. I like it a lot. It reminds me of my grandparents’ house. Lots of happy memories. Henry: Was that in the countryside? Lee: Yeah. The house is no longer there, but I’d love to take you to visit the village sometime.
Mei: Hi, boys! Lee: Hi, Auntie! Mei: I’m sorry I’m a bit late! I was with a client over in Koh Sahpa and traffic on the bridge was so slow!
Henry: Hi Mei! I haven’t seen you since the wedding! Mei: So nice to see you too! You had an easy trip? Henry: Not too bad! Mei: And is Lee taking good care of you? You eating enough? Lee: Oh my god, Auntie. It hasn’t even been five minutes…
Mei: This place is perfect. It’s a fifteen-minute walk to uni for you. And Henry, you can take the 71 bus to work; only two or three stops! Lee: This place…the tiles on the floor. High ceilings. Big windows… Flowers everywhere…It all reminds me so much of Grandma’s house.
Mei: I thought so too, sweetie. Your uncle suggested I show you an apartment on Segara Drive, but I knew you’d like this much more. It’s old-fashioned: no fancy gym, pool, or central air. It’s not in a flashy spot…But it’s real Tomarani living, in an authentic neighborhood, near our family. Besides, the owner is VERY motivated to sell !
Lee: Uh-oh…What’s the story behind that? Mei: Nothing bad! This is where Gugi Nguyen would secretly rendezvous with Anita Tran, away from the paparazzi. Lee: Who are they? Mei: Famous soap opera actors! They got married and don’t need this house anymore. Henry: Babe! That’s just like our story, minus the celebrity stuff! Lee: Pfff!
[Voices coming from downstairs, speaking excitedly in Tomarani.]
Henry: This is really happening. We’re here! Just a few days ago we were in San Sequoia… Now? This is going to be home. And this view? This could be our view. Every day. Wow!

also like. As someone specifically who's been poor my entire life and homeless and currently being threatened with it again, who's lost family connections and money and opportunities for the crime of not being entirely white and relying on the systems people make fun of and never have to experience. Like. Mocking people (like myself!!!!) for struggling is gonna make me hate you. Haha homelessness. Okay do you know how traumatic it is? When you're fucking 2 years old? When you're 4? All the while being groomed by an adult man? Do you know whats its like to lose all your belongings because the cops fucking hate you and don't give them back? Do you know what its like to finally get a hotel or apartment for a month and have it be such a health hazard with mold and mushrooms growing bigger than your fist and more types of bugs than you count and having to toss out some of your few belongings because theyre infected and infested beyond repair? Haha school shootings. Cool do you know how terrifying it is to narrowly avoid the everpresent middle school gangs only for your younger sibling to be forced to be involved with a high school gang? Do you know what it's like when there's danger in getting an education and seeing the person you want to protect more than anything slip into that? It's not fucking funny when you get a text that your brother thinks he's gonna be fucking murdered after school and wants you to know that he loves you like youll never speak again? Haha dumb country bums. Okay what about when it's the people who are supposed to be your family and support and love you calling you racial slurs? What if you still kind of care about them? What about when there's fucking tornadoes near them and they live in trailers with zero support or basement or safety and they don't have access to anything else? Imagine seeing a news article about it and your heart sinking when they live near by and you don't talk much cause they're racist, but you don't even know if they're alive?? Haha Trump. Did you watch your mother break down crying on the phone, begging her father to not go back to Latin america because she was scared he would never come back? Do you look at news articles of deaths and search for your last name and hope it's not family? Have you been to detention camps? They don't let you go in but the outside paints a bleak picture, and youve studied pictures before. Its torture. Pictures of israeli camps look painfully similsr. You almost got lost on the way there because it's so isolated. They intentionally built it miles from bus stops. They don't warn people of their release and release them, offering no help or way to get even a ride to somewhere that's not long stretches of empty fields. Haha bad healthcare. Have you sat with your mother on hold for hours upon hours for services, just to be denied? Have you seen your mother fight insurance for months to not have to pay for her eight year olds psych ward stay cause he tried to kill himself? Have you seen her face that thousands of dollars bill and see her calculate if she would have to be homeless again? Have you had to cook for her cause she's struggling to stand? For years? Have you participated in studies so you have enough money for groceries that month? Have you cycled through over 10 therapists because they give the poor patients underpaid interns that quit within a year? Have you almost died at the hospital? Twice? And despite it all we give food and money to homeless people as often as we have it (not often). I've attended more protests than I can count. Protests, marches, rallies, even parades. We boycott despite not being able to afford the alternatives. There's so much I and so many other people do to fight and try to better things. But haha americans are dumb and one time someone was mean to me so I think you all deserve to die because your government hates you 🤗 ill kill myself in front of you to change the trajectory of your life forever, don't test me. I will do it. I'll buy a ticket to Europe just for that

Dear Professor Sharp,
A couple of people were talking about how they believe teachers were like at our age and I am curious as to know what you were like as a teenager
Hope you are well.
Aesop tapped his fingers rhythmically on the edge of his desk, a smirk playing on his lips as quite a few memories came back to him of his school days - some better than others.
"Well, I could fabricate some moralistic superiority tale, in hopes of guilting my students into being well behaved and diligent, bu-u-ut... honesty is the best policy." He snickered, but continued on in his typical gruff, near monotone voice.
"Around my second year I, and a classmate, began a little "under the table" potions operation. For a finder's fee, paid to my partner, and an 'inconvenience' sum paid to myself, I'd offer the service of collecting potions ingredients. Particularly the ones that were a nuisance to find, or otherwise difficult. Fresh is best, you know.
Anyway, we'd usually sneak off in the night to pinch the forbidden plants in the greenhouses, and for everything else I'd slip over to J. Pippin's - we had a discount for being his best customers. The rest went to Honeydukes and other nefarious things, heh. By third year, we'd caught on to which student's families were struggling for school supplies; no charge for them. So you might say, like most teenagers, I was an incorrigible little bastard. Occasionally redeeming."

5 times Jake crossed paths with Fire Lieutenant Bradshaw and 1 time he met Maverick's son
i told you I'd write it people
to @redfurrycat and @emseebeans: thought you might like it so I'm gonna tag you here 👉👈
Part One | read on ao3
The Meet Ugly | 2.3k
They’re stuck. They’ve been stuck in traffic on I-15 near Miramar for over an hour now — the cars stopped not far from where they are, maybe a hundred meters away. There’s a fire truck there now, parked across both lanes, the lights blinking as it shields whatever is happening, and they’ve heard the sirens going on and off as different emergency services arrived but he doesn’t know what the accident was about, completely.
There’s been something on fire, for sure. The smoke that was floating around behind the truck changed from a black cloud into a semi-transparent puff, but he could still smell the nasty odor of burned gasoline and plastic penetrating the air.
They’ve already spent six hours getting to San Diego from Lemoore and Jake will explode if they did that just to kiss the doorknob of the base housing office — it’s almost five in the afternoon and their time is running out. They can’t just sit there in Javy’s truck indefinitely, they need to pick up the keys by six or they’ll have no roof over their heads.
Jake isn’t spending the night in a hotel either, not when he paid to be able to move in today.
And Javy’s truck doesn’t even have a working air con and they can’t sit there for hours in San Diego heatwave.
“I’m just going to check how long it’s going to take,” he tells Javy, opening the passenger door after the conversation stalls.
“Jake—”
He slams the door before Javy can finish and leaves, walking past the cars on the hard shoulder. There isn’t enough space between the barrier on the right and the truck so he walks around it, maneuvers between the cones that close off the road and looks around.
The accident is actually stretched out for another hundred meters. It’s a bus swayed to the side, a scorched-to-the-ground car that is still being managed by two firefighters, masked up and hosing down the remains,  and another car that’s become a pancake through a run-in with the bus’s side. A group of firefighters is standing near the bus, two pairs of feet sticking out from underneath it and two putting blocks under the wheels.
There’s a rescue squad parked not far from where he’s standing, number 56 on it’s side, and an open ambulance further away, the stretchers already prepared close to the bus.
The door of the rescue squad as a firefighter steps away, two yellow poles in his hands.
“Hey there,” Jake calls out.
The guy turns around like a deer caught in headlight and Jesus , he’s a literal kid, Jake can swear he’s not even out of high school. He’s shorter than Jake by a couple of inches and the turnouts are practically swallowing his hands and face.
He walks toward Jake and starts, tries for a firm tone but that baby face is not giving him any favors, “I’m sorry, sir, this space is reserved for first responders—”
“Look, I just want to know when we can move along,” Jake says. “It’s been hours.”
“This is an active scene,” he says, totally ignoring Jake’s words, sounding a bit like a robot. “Please step behind the line designated by the red cones.”
He waves in the direction behind Jake and turns around to go to the bus. When Jake follows, not giving up, he stops again, shielding him from going any further.
“Kid, come on,” Jake presses. “Where’s your boss? Can I talk to him?”
He’s looking at Jake but glancing behind his shoulder every other second. When Jake doesn't relents, he shouts out, “Lieutenant Bradshaw! Sir—”
The walkie-talkie thrown over his collar crackles up and a smooth, deep voice speaks up, “Use your radio, Santos, and how many times did I tell you not to call me that?”
When Jake looks behind the kid, he sees a firefighter holding a radio pinned to his front pocket walking toward them, detaching from the group from around the bus. He’s wearing a red helmet with a shield with Lieutenant 13 SDFD written on it in thick letters, the oxygen tank still on his back but the mask limps freely clipped to his side along with a pair of gloves.
“Is there a problem here?” he asks as he comes close enough for them to hear.
Jake freezes as the deep, steady voice reaches his ears and puts his focus on the lieutenant. He’s standing tall, towering over Jake with his back straightened up, jaw set, a couple of dark smudges of dirt on his face, one making a perfect extension of his mustache. His tan turnout jacket is open, a black hood folding around his neck, and the fabric has a gray smudge here or there, too. He makes clear, burly strides as he walks, his hips visibly swaying even in those bulky pants and Jake can see how big his chest is despite the heavy material.
He’s hot.
The kid nods his head at Jake like that explains everything and Jake makes himself focus on the issue at hand. He got exactly what he wanted — a talk with the kid’s boss. Maybe they’ll actually get here somehow, maybe the guy will be reasonable.
“Jesus, kid, when I told you to do crowd control, the idea was to control the crowd,” he says and his voice is light and he smiles, eyebrows slightly quirked, like he is amused to see Jake there.
“Maybe if you didn’t employ middle schoolers, we wouldn’t have been waiting here for hours,” Jake spat out as his brain short-circuited.
The kid takes a step back, hiding half-behind the lieutenant. He really is just a kid.
“Go learn how to use the lift bags, Santos, I’ve got this,” he orders. The kid moves without hesitating. The lieutenant grabs his radio, clicks a button, and adds, “Andre, the kid is coming your way, make use of him. Over.”
“On it, Lieu.”
The guy turns to Jake, shifting on his feet. The oxygen tank is metal and looks heavy enough that Jake is almost impressed at the grace his back is moving with.
“Okay, let’s begin again,” he says, turning back to Jake, and his tone holds an edge. “Lieutenant Bradshaw, I’m the current Incident Commander on scene. What’s the problem, sir?”
“We’ve been stuck in a traffic jam for over an hour now,” Jake points out.
Bradshaw looks at him, giving him a full glance over. He seems unimpressed as he starts walking toward the ladder truck, and tells him, “We’re doing our job as fast as we can.”
“Well, not fast enough, apparently,” Jake retorts, following him like a moth to a flame. “We need to be in Coronado by six, there’s no other way to get there but forward, at this rate, you’re going to make us late. Just one lane would be enough.”
Bradshaw opens one of the gates on the side of the truck, lifts it up to reveal more oxygen tanks and a huge sign with OXYGEN! NO OPEN FLAMES! In the middle of them. His profile shows the curve of his nose and the little curls behind his ear. He has a sticker with PARAMEDIC on the side of the helmet, too.
He unclips the harness from around himself, putting the tank in the empty line on the right side, and takes out a clipboard, writing something on it with an attached pen. “Should have left earlier, sir.”
Jake senses this is going nowhere. He’s running out of time, no matter how good looking at Bradshaw feels, they’re not sleeping in a hotel today.
“Look, at least let us through, just us, we need to pick up the keys for our house or—”
“This is not how it works, sir,” Bradshaw cuts him off.
And he’s adding that sir at the end but it actually holds no weight and it’s gritting at Jake’s nerves.
“I’m actually a real lieutenant, okay? I can show you my military ID, I just got restationed, we need to get there before six or we’re spending the night in our car,” Jake explains again, voice slowing down like he is talking to someone stupid. “We’re just really in a hurry here, five minutes and we’d be on our merry way—”
“Oh, you’re in a hurry?” he asks and he’s smiling but there’s something in his tone that works like spikes on Jake.
“Yeah, we are,” he confirms.
“Well, I have two dead here because someone has already been in a hurry today,” Bradshaw says.
Jake licks his lips and the silence falls over. Bites his tongue not to add something stupid. Fails.
“You can’t just hold us here for hours.”
“I can and I will,” Bradshaw says calmly. “Now get behind the barrier before we get you some zip ties and a free hold cuffed up in the truck cabin until the police arrive.”
He pats the side of the truck and looks Jake dead in the eyes, a fake smile back on his face.
Jake laughs straight into his face because that has to be a joke. “You’re threatening to arrest me? On what basis exactly, impatience?”
Not missing a beat, he replies, “California Penal Code Section 402a, lingering at the scene of an emergency in such a way that it hinders first responders from performing their duties, and California Penal Code Section 409.5, unauthorized entry into an emergency area.”
And he was staring at Jake with a narrowed gaze, the black smudges still on his chin, one eyebrow raised as he put his hand on his hip, uncovering the suspenders from behind the turnout jacket, his navy blue uniform shirt visible — the buttons on his chest are stretched tight, screaming to be let go, showing the see-through, sweaty tank top underneath.
Jake’s mouth is dry as he tries to concentrate on putting words together but it doesn’t work.
The guy is really hot.
The radio on his collarbone crackles up as a new voice comes through, “Lieu, we extracted the patient.”
Bradshaw turns away from Jake but keeps him in the corner of his eye, bringing the radio up. “Condition?”
When Jake looks toward the bus and the bus is now lifted on its axis by two airbags, the yellow poles the kid was carrying stabilizing it. The two paramedics that were underneath it are working on a patient, another firefighter leaning over them, and a path of blood follows them under the backboard.
There’s a motorcycle, crushed into pieces and bent in half like a glowstick, under the chassis.
Bradshaw grabs him by the shoulder, turning him around so he doesn’t look, and gets into Jake’s face, shielding the view.
“Life functions intact but pupils are still unresponsive,” is the radio response. “Ivan and Alex are almost ready to go. Should the kid go with them?”
“No. No, it’s too early for that,” Bradshaw says back, his warm palm still on Jake’s shoulder, but his thumb on the radio button. “Tell them to take him to UC Medical if he’s stable enough, he’s going to need Trauma I.”
“Copy that.”
He lets go of Jake, switches the button on the radio, turning away again. “Dispatch, this is Lieutenant Bradshaw, we’re ready for that heavy tow truck.”
It takes a bit longer but he gets a response, too. “Copy that, Lieutenant, there should be one in twenty.”
“So you’re going to open up the lane in twenty,” Jake quips and it comes out extremely snarky.
Bradshaw laughs but it’s humorless. “No, I’ll have a tow truck in twenty. This is an emergency scene until I declare it otherwise.”
“But—”
The siren comes through again and Jake turns to see two police cars rolling at the end of the close-up, stopping near the ambulance. They’re towing one of those gigantic bottleneck signs, the neon blinking.
“Look at that, sir, Highway Patrol has arrived, they’re going to open a lane for you, make us both happy,” Bradshaw says and he’s not even trying to hide how irritated he is as he grins through his teeth. “Now, go back to your car, lieutenant.”
And there’s just something in the way he articulates the words, in how calm and unmoved his voice is even as he’s sending Jake an unimpressed look, in how he’s cocking his hip, one hand on his belt.
Jake bites down on his lip, regretting putting his foot in his mouth — he’d have asked for his number if he hasn’t known he has no chance after backchatting like that. It’s too bad.
They aren’t going to make it to the housing office on time, anyway.
He walks back to Javy’s truck like the fool he is, the ambulance’s sirens going off as whoever they were transporting drives away. He sits down and sighs, not feeling like talking.
“So,” Javy begins. “Do you know when they will open up the road?”
“The Highway Patrol is going to open the opposite lane in a few,” he says as he reaches for the seatbelt over his shoulder. There’s a smudge of soot on his white t-shirt, shaped like fingertips.
His face warms up as he recalls the image of Lieutenant Bradshaw, his big hand weighing down on Jake as he stirs him away, the smell of smoke that encircled Jake as he leaned forward, as his bulk towered over him.
This is so inappropriate, he realizes.
Javy is silent for a minute, observing his wide-eyed expression. “What did you do?”
“I might have—I might have made an ass out of myself,” Jake admits.
“That ain’t new,” he points out.
Jake licks his lips and, with a straight face, says, “Well, there was this sexy fireman—”
“Oh my fucking god, Jake,” Javy gasps, staring at him in disbelief, his hands flopping on the steering wheel. “Please tell me you didn’t mouth off at a first responder.”
“What? You know my brain shuts off around hot guys.”
Javy huffs at him and Jake doesn’t know why he’s so surprised — he’s known Jake long enough. He says, shaking his head at Jake, “Well, at least this one we’ll never see again.”
“Yeah."

I’d love to see how you think a Okoye/Attuma modern AU would look? Where would they be and how would they meet? 👀👀🫶🏽
Interesting ask! Thank you for the request 💖
Biker Attuma x Dancer Okoye
Meet cute: She's on her way to a very important class but her car break's down near a cafe where Attuma and his boys are lounging about. Noting there aren't any bus routes or with her cell service acting weird, she decides to ask them if she could borrow on of their bikes. The boys laugh clearly because she doesn't look like someone who could handle the vehicle. But Attuma agrees to give her his bike, he offers to drop her but she orders him to take the back seat, fastens the belt on her helmet and kick-starts the bike in such a way Attuma falls head over heels for her.
Soccer players AU
Rival teams. Rival schools. They meet during an important match. A mixed team game. He tries to tackle her, but her skill outmatches his. She breaks through the defenders effortlessly and scores a goal. Turning back to give him a snobby look.
But once again, it's love at first sight for Attuma.
Chef AU ( I'm a sucker for anything chef related)
He's a recluse pastry chef for a town no one knew existed bringing to life recipes that were long gone. She's gone to Paris, worked a highly stressful job only to be fired. Now her purpose and individuality is shattered. In order to piece herself back together. She moves away to a no name town, where *ding ding ding* Chef Attuma is hiding because he's lost the passion with which he had started out. Can they realign each other's life? Sure they can 😌
Racer Attuma x surfer Okoye
Their occupations are similar. Their lives a mirror of eachother, taking on the adrenaline that seeps through their veins. But little do people know that these fearless individuals are fighting different battles on their own. Attuma has sworn off live after a major heartbreak while Okoye struggles to keep her career because of her toxic boyfriend. They meet on a sunny day at the beach. Attuma emerges from the waves and everybody's trying to get closer to him, but he's only got eyes for the mysterious woman lounging away from the crowd with her surf board.
These were just off the top of my head hahaha I'll keep adding to this post if I get any ideas 💖

None of our business
Chapter 01
Pairing: College!Matt Murdock x fem!reader
Summary: You are a winner. Always have been and always will be. In your final year at Colombia you're aiming to earn an internship from an esteemed law firm which will ensure the success of your career post law school. Someone however, is making life difficult and his name is Matt Murdock. For some reason he's always in your business, everywhere you turn he's there and while you never expected it maybe he's just what you need.
Word count:3.4k
Warnings: swearing, people acting absolutely unhinged and ‼️T/W Frat Bros‼️ (Future SMUT I promise 🤞🏻😮‍💨)
a/n: academic rivals mixed with work/office rivals. Matt and reader are somehow smart enough to be in law school but not smart enough to realise they like each other. Also ALOT of these background characters are OC’s and the only people mentioned from the daredevil series is Foggy(nelson) and Jack (Matts Dad)
(not gonna lie that summary was a lil corny 💀please forgive me 🙏🏻)
Tumblr media
You’ve always been the best at what you do. You uphold yourself to a high standard and its gotten you all the way to your final year studying law at Columbia. It feels surreal at times wondering if you deserve this but you remember how hard you have worked and how proud you will be once you’ve become the best lawyer in New York.
Tonight you’ve got a shift at the local bar and restaurant Barry’s. You’re the star waitress and have earned some regulars who tip very well every time you’re on. Tonight though you are really considering quitting. It’s not only one of the busiest nights due to the Columbia Lions winning last nights football game and their victory party being hosted by Barry’s but you are also responsible for the new trainee who is truly testing your patience. “Foggy, you cannot stay at a table for over 30 minutes after giving them their food. Being overly friendly will not get you tips it will get you fired” you sigh in frustration and you can see he feels bad for upsetting you “sorry” he whispers. Before you can apologise he’s left to get the drinks for the next table. You feel bad but food service can have you dealing with the worst kinds of people and you don’t want Foggy to get discouraged from a little criticism.
You’ve just shown foggy how to lock up and its nearing half three in the morning. After an 8 hour shift with no breaks you are ready to drop. Pulling out of the parking lot you see Foggy at the bus stop. “You know the first bus doesn’t come until six thirty, you can’t wait here for three hours” you tell him from your car. “ Don’t worry about it! I’ll be alright, I’m just too tired to walk” you wouldn’t let Foggy stay there even if you believed him. “Do you live on campus?” you ask. “Yes, but please you really don’t have to driv-”Foggy doesn’t get to the end of his sentence before you’re unlocking your passengers side door and beckoning him into the car. “I know I was hard on you tonight but I promise I’m not an asshole …I’m sorry” judging from Foggy’s smile you think he’s accepted your apology. “ It’s okay..you know you’re not as scary as you look” foggy immediately regrets saying that as you give him a very unimpressed look. “I mean you never smile in lectures and you just always seemed very…cold..from a distance! But getting to know you better tonight you’re cool. I mean I only know so much since Matt does talk-” “it’s okay Foggy I understand what you’re trying to say”.
-
Waking up Monday morning you regret signing up for an oral presentation workshop. However, you’ve made matters worse by not putting on an alarm and expecting your roommate Lisa to wake you up. Late and rushing you find yourself in not your finest of moments running across campus in yesterday’s mascara and underwear.
In your flurry to get to the workshop you trip over something and find yourself on top of someone. “I am so sorry, are you alright?” you ask frantically. “I don’t think you trip over blind men often so it’s fine” that voice belongs to Matthew Murdock a man who has a talent for getting on your nerves. Why? Because like you Matt is smart but unlike you it comes naturally for him and he takes every chance to throw it in your face. Between having the last word in mock trials to countering your points in class just because he feels like it. “If I didn’t know any better I would think you tripped me on purpose Matt” “ Well you’re still on top of me so I don’t think there’s any hard feelings”. Your rush to get off Matt, help him up and collect your things. “What are you in such a rush for?” Matt asks “ Professor Loc's speech workshop, I’m so late it’s pointless”you say dreading the effect this is going to have on your attendance record. “Don’t worry it’s been cancelled, I was on my way there but I got the email before I walked in” Matt says. Looking through your bag and finding your phone you see the late notification that the class has in fact been cancelled. “Shit I wasted my morning for that” you’re about to turn away until you hear chanting. Very loud chanting.
“ What is going o-” Matt is interrupted by Kevin the star quarterback and frat senior letting out a loud battle roar and running across campus naked being cheered on by freshmen, senior frat members and several other people fascinated by the display. “If I were to tell you exactly what is going on you would regret asking” and in a split second you notice Kevin’s path has changed and he is now running for you and Matt. “Walk with me and don’t ask questions” you grab Matt and begin walking towards the parking lot. “I expect better of you than to rob a blind man y/n”. “I’m not robbing you I’m saving us from embarrassment, unless you want to be between me and a naked Kevin I suggest you keep walking”. Matt suddenly quickens his pace and unfortunately so does Kevin. In a quick span of events you evade Kevins line of sight and pull Matt into a random shed near the library. “Janitors store room, we’ll have to wait out here until the crowd and Kevin have passed” you tell Matt out of breath.
After waiting for 10 minutes Kevin and the group are still chanting near you and Matt. “You might as well test me for our next exam” Matt says. You're dissatisfied with the situation but seeing an opportunity to outsmart Matt Murdock you won’t pass up on. Flipping through your notes you hear Matt huff a laugh “You can’t test me without your notes?”. Although Matt is amused you are not “I need to make sure you don’t try and finesse your way into giving me a bullshit answer that’s only half right” “woah y/n didn’t know I could get you riled up so easily.. did seeing Kevin naked get you excited?” Frustrated with Matts teasing you decide you’ve had enough. “Actually it did.. I have to confess Matt I’m really excited right now” you say trying to sound convincing. “….really?” Matt says genuinely confused. “Yes..and oh I need help to release some of this tension” Matt is slightly bewildered but also intrigued. “Y/N I didn’t expect..” “Matty c’mere I wanna show you something” as Matt approaches you pull the leaf blower from the shelf and turn it on to his lips. Sucking half of his face into the leaf blower is funny for a few seconds until you release it and he seems genuinely mad. “Y/N what the hell!?” Matt yells. You giggle about to say something until you hear the crowd is no longer chanting near you and Matt. “I think we can go back now Matt”
-
There was something special about today. You didn’t know why but you had a feeling that today something was going to happen that would change the trajectory of your life forever. Minus the pigeon shit that just fell on your coat you expected good things to come your way today.
“ I bought you coffee!!” Your roommate Lisa pops out from the crowd surrounding the campus cafe. “I felt bad about the other morning, you know how forgetful I can be” Lisa says reminding you about the drama surrounding last Monday. In between then you’ve had some time off to prepare for your final year, you bought a whiteboard and you scheduled study sessions with Foggy whenever the both of you weren’t working. “It’s okay, it’s my fault I’ve got to really get my shit together. It’s my final year and I’m lagging because my brain knows I’m at the finish line” you’re a little disappointed in yourself for not being motivated but that’s going to change now that the fall semester has begun and you can officially put your plan in place to get back on track.
Dropping Lisa off at her class you go across the way to the building where your lecture is being held. You sit beside Chris who, although doesn’t seem to listen in lectures he still manages to get great marks and have good notes. In comparison to the mess on your paper at the end of lectures over the years you've benefited more from listening through and copying Chris’s notes after. “How have you been doing? You look good” you’re slightly taken aback by Chris’s compliment. Although he flirts a lot he never teases and often times you think about bitting the bullet and asking him out. That’s if you ever get the time to. “ I’ve been good working, studying and working some more” you laugh feeling a bit pathetic that this has probably been your answer through the whole of your law degree. “ There’s a reason why you're so smart, Besides I heard you’ve organised a study group and didn’t invite me.I’m hurt” he puts his hand over his heart acting wounded. If it were anyone else you would roll your eyes but when Chris’s voice cracks at the word hurt added with the sly grin he has on his face has got you silently begging to to be alone with him. “The group is open, if you want to come just let me know and we’ll make a time to meet up”. Feeling proud of yourself for finding a way to get Chris's contact. Ripping a piece of paper off his notebook he quickly writes something. “ Here’s my number text me and I’ll make sure I bring my notes just for you”. You feel yourself about to sport an embarrassingly big smile until you hear a stick tapping near the doors.
“Murdock! There’s a seat here” you whip your head to Chris and see he’s pointing to the seat next to you. This is not what you had in mind when you thought of your positive mantra of today being a good day. Matt greets Chris and they reach across you to hug. If you were being honest being crushed between Chris and Matt wasn’t that bad, you were blissfully daydreaming away until you felt someone flick your ear. “After sucking my face off you could at the very least talk to me” Matt says grinning mischeviously. Chris is taken aback at the insinuation that you and Matthew Murdock are somehow involved and you are seething that out of all times he decides to start with you in front of Chris. Before you have time to clear any confusion your professor begins the class.
By the end your eyes are drooping from exhaustion and you feel close to calling a cab to get back to your apartment to avoid walking 20 minutes. "Hey sleeping beauty, class is dismissed" Chris tries to nudge you awake. Suddenly becoming alert you give him a tired smile and gather your things. "Do you want to take my notes home?, I won't need them back anytime soon" Chris says. Before you can respond Matt interrupts the seemingly tender moment. " I see my dig about notes the other day hasn't motivated you to aim higher". You are so close to chocking Matt the only thing stopping you is the scandal of assaulting a blind man in public. Ignoring Matt you thank Chris and take his notes with you. On your way out of class you can see a crowd forming around the bulletin board. "They're only offering two places!" "Highest score on the next exam?!". You're near the board to find out what all the commotion is about when you see plastered on the board the opportunity you've been waiting for.
The internship to Cheraus & Pels one of the best law firms in all of New York. You can feel the sweat on the palm of your hand reading over the details then, you feel a presence near. "Too bad they're offering two spots. There's no challenge now". You wish you could formulate a good response but all you can do is focus on the letters on the paper in front of you. "Are you okay? you seem like you're coming down with the flu" Matt goes to put his hand to your forehead but before he can you swat his arm away. "Matt, I have never been more serious about something in my life and the fact that you're treating this like any other thing is absurd to me" you feel bad afterwards for being difficult with Matt in front of everyone but the stress of how real everything is starting feel is getting to you. "Despite how nonchalant I can be, I have sacrificed a lot to even be in this building. Yes y/n, I am taking this very seriously but if I stressed myself out as much as you do I 'd be ill before I even put pen to paper". After hearing what he had just said you came to the sad conclusion that Matt Murdock was right.
-
Over the next few weeks you had been seeing less of Lisa and Chris and even Matt. You've closed yourself off from the world and against Matts advice you were stressing yourself out. Going only between classes and your apartment to take breaks from preparing for the upcoming exam to eat and sleep. You even gave Barry notice that you would be taking the month off just so that work wouldn't get in the way of studying. What you didn't know was how worried everyone was. Lisa called your mom who then spent an hour on the phone threatening you with a visit. Chris had texted you a few times but you didn't want to distract yourself. Foggy even told Matt about you taking the month off. Which became the last straw. At 9:30pm on a Friday night you heard a knock at the apartment door, you expected that Lisa would get it since she knew you were busy. After a while you realised Lisa wasn't home and whoever it was, was still waiting. Looking through the peephole you get a wave of aggravation seeing Matt at your doorstep.
"I am so busy right now Matt its not even funny" you say opening the door. Matt looks very unamused and goes as far as to walk right past you and let himself in. "y/n this is an intervention, I understand you want that internship as bad as anyone. Trust me I've been doing overtime in the library. That doesn't justify you working yourself so hard".You're about to lose your shit. How dare Matt come into your home uninvited and tell you how you should be living. You're about to yell at him when you realise you're so tired you don't even have the energy. Matt knows something isn't right when he hears a thud and he knows something is definitely not right when you haven't said anything. Checking that you're still breathing Matt carries your fast asleep self to your bed and lays beside you. He doesn't know why but he stays the night. He tells himself its because Lisa isn't home and he doesn't want to leave you in the apartment alone overnight but deep down Matt cares about you and wants to make sure you're alright.
Over the years Matt has grown a sort of affection for you. He's not in love. He just cares, you both work hard but he admires your drive and passion. Because for him, you challenge him to do better and that means a lot. In your first year Matt was having trouble accessing braille translations of archived case documents and while you weren't happy about it you took the time to read out those case documents for him. Once, Matt had come down with mono he missed a week of classes. He didn't want to ask for your help but he didn't have to. You told him to meet you at the library where you proceeded to catch him up on everything he had missed. These moments compiled with all those other times you've helped Matt out over the years makes him want to be the one to help you out this time. At least he though he was helping. He's not so sure now that you've woken up in the afternoon and realised you've missed six and a half hours of study time. "I don't know who you think you are to waltz into my house and control my life. What the fuck was the intervention for?! an addiction to studying. I have never heard something so stupid in my life". Any other time Matt would give you some cool response to one up your little tantrum but right now among all the yelling your eyes are red and he can hear your stomach grumbling. "If I took you for some lunch would you stop yelling at me. Would you stop talking altogether actually?" . You're contemplating committing homicide in this very moment but through the exhaustion, anger and hunger you can see Matt is concerned and while you don't owe him anything you definitely don't think it's fair to let him worry about you. You've also just come to the realisation it wasn't fair to let everyone else in your life worry. "Sorry, let me get dressed and then we can go" Shocked Matt doesn't mention your change in demeanour and lets you direct him to the couch to wait. While you have the time to yourself you send off some quick texts to Lisa, your mom and Chris letting them all know you're alright and there's no need to worry.
-
Lunch with Matt wasn't as bad as you'd thought it would be and spending time with Matt outside of school proved to be surprisingly beneficial to your mental wellbeing. You had been taking a walk in the park chuckling at some stupid law pun Matt had made when you snapped back to reality. The date of your exam was in three days and you felt so underprepared. Noticing your sudden silence Matt nudges your shoulder. "I didn't think my comedy would kill the mood, If you didn't like that one I've got a whole notes app filled with them" Matt says. "Its not that, I'm just thinking about the exam. After tomorrow we've only got a couple more days". You remove your arm from Matts and go to sit at the bench to clear your mind and figure out what your going to do about everything. "y/n I don't want you to get upset with me but Im going to make you an offer that hopefully you can't refuse" Matt goes on to ask you something you would have surely lost your balance from the shock if your weren't already sitting down. "You can stay at my place until the exam is over. You seemed to have slept better with me at the house and as much as you would hate to admit it we work really well together. My best grades are from when I study with you. "
You feel your resolve melting and as much as you want to keep your regular bitch attitude with Matt he's doing something really nice. Most of all he doesn't need to do any of this. He didn't need to spend the night or come to the apartment to check up on you, he didn't need to get you lunch or take a walk around the park with you and most of all Matt didn't need to worry, but he did. Or does... you don't know but what you do know is Matt is right. In a way things have always worked better when you've done them with Matt. Group projects, study sessions and even those dreaded mock trials. If you were any less oblivious you would realise Matt challenges you in a way you like. In a way that drives you to be better and in times like this it means everything. " I can't believe I'm saying yes but I will move in with you for three nights and four days" you don't know why but you're smiling. "Its settled then, let's shake on it roomie" "shut the fuck up".

The constant stream of ads is insane. Even my high school foyer isn’t safe; on the speakers they play hours of spotify free, leading to hours and hours of nothing but ads, with only a few seconds of actual music playing in between. I cannot study or have a snack or read or even listen to my own music without being bombarded with ads, blaring from speakers near the ceiling.
I go out to take the bus? It’s just one big moving billboard. I wanna take the train? Haha no peace and quiet for you, someone’s gonna be blasting ads and music, while the walls of the train car are papered with posters.
You want some fresh fruit from the market?? Nope, no safety there, there will be stickers for local car dealerships or supermarkets all over them.
You want to learn a new language? You want to use an app in order to not have to take classes in person? Nah, at the end of every lesson there’s gonna be a 30 to 60 second ad. Sometimes even in the beginning of the lesson, too!
You want to ask a question but can’t get an answer in person, so you look it up on an internet browser? Yeah haha the first two pages are just going to be sponsored ads, product placements, sites that look normal but actually redirect you to a paying porn site, and sites that are so riddled with ads themselves; it’s like the advertisements are maggots eating the site’s decaying corpse.
You have a telephone to contact your family? You’ll be getting an average of 2 spam calls per day, advertising everything from life insurance to mobile data plans. Sometimes they’ll even call you as many as 16 times in one day. (This is a personal experience).
You want to eat out because you don’t have the time to make yourself a quick meal? All the napkins will just be slightly soft, pliable ads. Maybe you’ll even be given a card to visit another place you can buy services of goods!

More Magic School Bus headcanons!
Here’s my headcanons for what each kid does when they grow up!
(They’re all scientists!)
Arnold: Geologist. I also think it’d be neat if he’s a geology teacher as well. Instead of apples, his students bring him cool rocks. (This headcanon was inspired by students bringing my geology/oceanography teacher rocks.)
Phoebe: I got a few options for her: ornithologist (bird scientist), lepidopterist (butterfly and moth scientist) or botanist (plant scientist). Whatever she does end up doing, she’s sure to put her whole heart and soul into it.
Keesha: Microbiologist. (Yes, this is because of the pickle episode.) For non-science careers, she’s probably a dancer or does work in the movie industry.
Ralphie: Chiropterologist, or a scientist who studies bats. In the chapter books, he really likes bats. In the show, he’s a bit slower to warm up to them, but he learns to like them.
Tim: Marine biologist or ornithologist (if Phoebe decides she doesn’t want to study birds professionally). He’s also a well-known illustrator and nature photographer.
Wanda: Herpetologist (scientist who studies reptiles and amphibians). She prefers a hands-on approach to her research, and everyone agrees she takes after her mother.
Carlos: Paleontologist. His favorite dinosaurs are Velociraptor and Archaeopteryx, if you’re not counting modern-day birds (which he loves too).
Dorothy Ann: Astronomer or astrophysicist. She specializes in deep-space objects such as stars, black holes, and faraway nebulas.
Mikey: probably a computer programmer or engineer of sorts. Very hands-on with his work. He might also help make improvements to his friends’ science equipment.
Janet: Paleontologist— and Carlos’s rival, at that. The two of them are always going off at each other via research papers.
Notes:
D.A. and Carlos have named things they’ve discovered after each other. Carlos named a feathered dinosaur after D.A. Meanwhile, D.A. named a star cluster after Carlos.
Ralphie has a doctorate (everyone here does because they are that hardworking and ambitious); however, he’s probably the most chill about it.
Someone: Hey, Dr. Tennelli!
Ralphie: Oh, no, no, no. Dr. Tennelli is my mom. Please, Call me Ralphie.
A look at Carlos and Janet’s intellectual arguments:
“A Theory About Dinosaurs,” by Ramon, et al.
“A Conflicting Theory About the Same Dinosaurs,” by Perlstein, et al.
“Dr. Perlstein (the Paleontologist, not the Geologist) Was Wrong and Here’s Why,” by Ramon, et al.
This continues for several more research papers, eventually ending in a temporary truce:
“If We Knew What We Were Doing, It Would Not Be Called Research, Would It?” by Perlstein, Ramon, et al.
(And of course Tim does illustrations for both papers.)
Dorothy Ann still has her parrot named Dinah, but she also has some new pets too. First is a dog named Laika, after the first dog in outer space. Second is a cat named Asimov.
Phoebe’s house is full of plants, both outside and inside. Everywhere you look: plants. The outside plants are all species that are native to where Phoebe lives, and they attract lots of birds and insects. Phoebe keeps her more exotic plants indoors, and likes to propagate them to give to friends.
Mikey plays the piano as a hobby. He has a service dog, though I’m not sure what breed. And he’s very passionate about disability rights and accessibility.
The whole gang lives near one another. Options: Same neighborhood, different houses. Same apartment, different rooms. Or everyone lives in one big house.
About the last bullet point: yes, the former students of Ms. Frizzle’s class (plus one sibling and one cousin) live in a sitcom.
Never though I’d bring MSB Rides Again into this discussion, but hear me out. Jyoti is part of the Science Gang. I personally think that she and Mikey would do engineering stuff together.
They all enjoy hanging out together and watching Star Trek!
Ralphie attempted to build another robot to do everyone’s chores. It did not go well. Hopefully he as learned his lesson and will leave the robot-building to the coding and engineering experts.

College Advice (that has nothing to do with college)
As I enter my fourth year of college, there are some practices and experiences that I’ve found were incredibly helpful in making me feel fulfilled and connected to my university and community. This advice is for students of all ages, whether it’s your first year or the end of a Ph.D.
1.  If there is a bus system (run by the school and/or the local community), learn it. Use it. Get comfortable with it. Even if you don’t think you’re going anywhere, even if you have a car; it’s often a faster way to get to classes, and it can help you avoid getting stranded or having to take a long walk, especially at night (learn the hours of the bus service as well).
2.  Explore. Even if you don’t have a class in a particular building, go inside and walk around (remember to be quiet and respectful of the people there). It can help you find future classes, find shortcuts, give directions to friends, or just find a cool study spot.
3.  Learn about the history of your school. Seriously. Learn when it was established/built, who was allowed to attend (was it a racially segregated institution? Was it all male?), who worked there (especially if your school was a site of enslavement), major events, controversies. Connect yourself to the built environment by learning the history of your surroundings. Wikipedia can be a good first place to look for this, also consider tours.
4.  Get off campus (if you can). If your school is in/near a town or city, go there. Go to restaurants, museums, shops. Be a person, not just a student.
5.  In the first few weeks, try to get the contact info (preferably phone number) of at least one person in each class. Strike up a casual conversation, ask a question about the class or something you noticed, form a connection, and ask (without being creepy) to exchange info. Having someone to talk to is really helpful if you miss an announcement, are confused about a due date, or just want to vent about the class.
6.  If you can, try to volunteer somewhere regularly. I know in high school my volunteer experiences were usually one-off events, but finding an organization (like an animal shelter, library, museum, hospital, etc.) to volunteer at regularly (weekly, monthly, whatever works for you) gives you another community to join. You can also look for volunteering clubs that help connect you to opportunities.
Feel free to add more advice!

Hey, replying to that love language conversation, i definitely believe that emmy's are: physical touch, quality time, acts of service, and maybe words of affirmation. My opinion of quality time is pretty much the same with the both of you so i dont really have much to add to that.
As for physical touch, Emmy is definitely someone who loves to be touched: from the hug in the pool, the kisses, loving gestures, and sex she watched others doing since high school (school hallway, bus scene, etc.) to the train scene. And yes, she never shown much aversion to physical threats even after all the weird threats she got from aydin and taylor at the start of the book, she just felt like she needed to run away because she was scared of being alone there, kidnapped, stranded, and might die from the climate or by the hands of the people around her at that time. Aydin and emmy bonded not only through shared experience, but also physical touch, from the moment they met, the lilith scene, her wearing his clothes, her being casually touched by aydin when she watched will shower (even with no romantic undertones), i dont remember her being weirded out about it at all, only rolling her eyes at his words lmao, even if she knew he might not be good from the start (Imagine alex watching this from a peephole, emmy being touched by aydin so much like she was kissed, hugged, in his lap, in his bed, in his clothes, fed her strawberries, he ate her handmade brownies, had private conversations with Em, and Emmy always said she heard noises in the wall and they always happen to be whenever Emmy was near aydin or with aydin's stuffs lmao, i dont think this was talked enough! Aydin and emmy just hit it off well and weirdly from the start, as opposed to alex who didnt even get to touch him even after everything betwen them, so no wonder Alex was jealous of Emmy in the train because Alex's pov must be like emmy's with Will/Alex. Worse is when she watched how aydin could get along well with Emmy right off the bat, but never even gave two fucks about his ex-fiance, less than a week. This puts a much clearer perspective of Alex's pov in the train tbh).
The same goes when micah was washing her hair and carry her away from michael in the train, or when rory and micah was sleeping beside her in the train, or when michael, rika and alex was guiding her in that chase-and-run, or even when taylor was jerking off with her panties. When she saw danger, it doesnt weird her out physically like banks did, Emmy just sensed danger and runs away or fights when she can, but then banks only felt like that because of her fucked up relationships with Damon, Natalya, Gabriel, her biological mom (who's a shitty prostitute, opposite to Alex's character) and all the useless women and men she grew up with in that Torrance manor. Banks had serious issues of being touched, except by Lev and David, who had been her guards for a long time. Oh yeah, speaking of Lev and David, didn't Emmy walked naked with a rope around her neck, and guided by Lev and David to her cubicle, with post-sex look i bet?!!! I almost forgot that scene. And when she met the girls again, her only auestion in her head was "is there gonna be consequences?", not any kind of shame about taboo sex or physical nude with others like winter had, lmao. Emmy didnt even have any problems slapping alex's breasts too when she found out about her in blackchurch, or when alex was casually touching her, or walking around naked around strangers, or remember when damon touched her multiple times in the past (without any romantic or secual undertones), be it in the first shower scene, or the second shower scene and she wasnt repulsed to touch? So yeah, physical touch is definitely not a problem for her, AT ALL, in fact, might be her number one way of connecting to others. Not ony she like to be kissed, she also loves to touch and kiss others, even in innocent ways, like with Madden and Ivar in the epilogue.
As for acts of service, some of hers didnt need physical touch but some can turn from physical to acts; when micah and rory cared for her in blackchurch and train, then she appreciated them very much by caring for them and making them food, then actually wishing them to say longer by her side, when damon gave her the key to the carfax room, and built her a gazebo and she was so touched she teared up, when Will gave her that godzilla plushy and snack bar because he knew she loved the movie and was fasting that day and got a gist of her religious practise (judaism) and it wasnt even a religion that the majority of the thunder bay believed in (christianity), so not only did she had to fast alone, she could only go pray in meridian city's synagogues with her family on weekends, as compared to thunder bay itself having the church as one of the many historical building of the area, so Will himself had to do his own research about it without much help from anyone. And probably some others that i dont remember. Maybe it also stems from her not always being loved through acts of service freely and not being weaponised as a "debt" against her because of the way Martin "loved" her, but it made it even more memorable to read these scenes on page, because when we were shown how she reacted to them and how much these acts impacted her, we saw her being quite positive and appreciative of them, as opposed to words of affirmation.
Now, on one hand, I put words of affirmation the last because i dont really agree with anon about this one. I think someone who has gone through so much betrayal from her "supposed" loved one, as well as someone as logical and rational as emmy, she would not care much about words by mouth rather than actions by hands; she got over a lot of things that was said to her, but not things that were DONE TO HER. When Will said good or mean things, she didnt fully believe him, but when she ACTUALLY saw Will DOING said things, only then she outwardly intensely reacted. Examples: Will looking happy with pretty rich girls at school--Emmy had to skip classes, Will burning the gazebo--Emmy believed that he hated her so one of the many reasons she never came back was because she thought he deserves and NEEDS someone better, Will smiling while hugging alex and sleeping in the same bed together when Emmy herself never saw him smile anymore or never slept in the same bed with him--Emmy feeling so sad about the whole situation and wanting to run away because she cant watch him be happy with someone else (same with rika's thought process about michael's reaction to her infertility in conclave, ironically), Will confronting emmy and damon in the locker room--Emmy cried while trying to vaguely explain about the situation, when she watched how much will deteriorated in the questioning room + martin's threats--Emmy was so sad and angry she nearly wanted to kill martin in a LITERAL police's workplace.
On the other hand, many of her hesitation to be with will was BECAUSE his words didnt match his actions, like when he said he "loved" her but his actions were aggressive and cage-y (almost similar with Martin's), when he said she was the only one but then he went to flirt and sleep around with anyone in a skirt, then fucked around with Emmy's mind afterwards, and even threatens her to be with other girls when she rejected him, instead of using that rejection to correct his methods by showing his feeling's sincerety through actions (and we saw how he regretted this later), when he said he cared about her and will kill anyone for her but did not check up on her health and safety ever again afterwards and AGAIN regretted not doing so for the next years to come, when Will said Emmy was everything but then he was absent from her life for nearly 10 years, and wasnt even there for her even knowing she was always alone, wasnt as privileged as he was to access expensive caring needs (education, oldfolks house, housing, job opportunities etc.), and could be in potential danger! His words were not always equals to his actions. They just dont match up (a big factor was because he was ashamed of his failures and kept on destroying himself, BUT STILL), and thats why I dont always fault emmy for everything, because as much as emmy had her push-and-pull-bitchy moments, Will was NEVER painted as a kind hero, or a reliable romantic interest.
This was probably also one of many reasons why Emmy cannot accept Will's love then, because Martin did similar things like Will, but WAY WAY WAY WORSE. She saw Martin's patterns' of contradiction in Will's and the contradictory of words not matching with actions was only one of the many reasons why she held back her want to trust Will. And that's the sad thing about willemmy's love languages, we saw how Will was actually the opposite of her. I remember he mentioned a couple of times how much he needed to hear her say she needed and loved him even knowing through actions that she did loved him, but not knowing she needed him (for a different reason than he though, which was not for survival, but for her own happiness) and it was mentioned several times; when he beat up martin and was expecting a call from her, when emmy unexpectedly confessed her feelings to him in blackchurch, when he locked her up in the catacombs and emmy begged him to stay, when emmy (again) unexpectedly verbally proposed to him in front of everyone, and in fire night when he asked if emmy loved him during their dance etc. Will's the kind that needs words to reassure him, before he can believe that he can and would do something, thats why his Grandpa was his main support system and damon's manipulation hits him so hard. "You were a lie, she was a lie". When Damon talked down to Will about how much Emmy will never choose him at that bonfire, because he said Will was shallow and all, instead of uplifting him to be the kind of person Will always wished to be: more and better, just because his personality fits Damon's selfish needs and narrative at that point (even though we understood where damon came from, it only gives context, not excuses for his words and actions), and then Will just completely broke down, and who was there for him again? That's right, Damon. Just like what winter said, damon wanted to be the poison and the cure for his people, so his manipulation worked with some people, especially Will and Banks. But Did it worked on Emmy? No. Emmy cut him off right off the bat, so good for her. (Also noticed how the fandom only talked about how much sex Will/Damon had, but never mentioned that all three of them were born out of dubious consent, intoxication and manipulation? Right. Queerbaiting and MLM Fetishization. PD should go to jail for this queerbaiting, because Will didnt even want to admit that he fucked and fooled around with a man. In his mind, it was all Emmy that he gets off to. Wasnt this sexual dynamic similar to Will/Alex too? Ugh, they're all so icky, we cant even have queer moments in peace without all these baits, and then we got the whole fandom salivating over these two men as if their sexual moments weren't weird and so heteronormative. Was damon potentially queer and his sexuality could be fluid? Sure, but was will's? Nah. Will was just a voyeur to taboo sex, like Michael and Kai. + Will called damon out for always trying to sexually control and manipulate others, including him. Like damon would even fuck michael and kai if they would let him, and knowing that he only did this with will because others didnt want it, watered down Will/Damon's "special" bond to me. Also, Thankfully, i never expected a good queer rep from PD, because if i did, I would be even more pissed off and aggravated by their books tbh because there were so many questionable queer moments in DN but this is a discussion for another day, and something that no one in this fandom is ever ready for).
Which was why i said willemmy's love language in the past and until the train scene were sad, because i feel like if that whole Martin-abuse thing didn't happen, i bet emmy would have probably caught onto this earlier and loved Will so good the way he wants and needs to be loved. When Will said that they were from two different worlds, i thought it wasnt just about their background and pasts, but also about their core personalities and love languages being quite different too. Sure, Will would definitely love to touch emmy (physical touch), and spend time with her (quality time), but i dont think it was as assuring as listening to emmy saying how important he was in her life. He loves to do things with emmy, but he's the kind that will asks his partner "do you love me if i'm a worm?" In the middle of an important situation, and expects a serious sincere answer from her. Might also be why when Emmy said hurtful things to will in blackchurch, alex was angry on behalf of him (still didnt grant her the permission to insert herself in willemmy's situation though) and when Will was mad at aydin because he wrongly misunderstood that aydin's words had more control in emmy's brain than his own. It escalated even more after every threatening words from aydin and intimate actions (like the feeding strawberry thing, emmy baking a brownie and making food for some other men she just met but denying Will to cook for his meal and eat at his table after everything lmao, wearing other men's clothes but never his-damon and aydin-and then poor Will had to witness emmy being kissed, hugged and touched by aydin, and saw emmy caring about aydin before the train scene. And remember when Will always remember everything emmy said (and do)? Right. No wonder he was so mad in the train. Emory was Will's girl, why was she hanging around aydin or other men so much-thats what will probably thought then. I remember PD saying that Will didnt like to share (putting asid ethe train scene) and when you look at his reactions about all these little things, he really hated sharing her. He's one of those boyfriends that will say something like "if you cant peel shrimps for yourself, then dont eat shrimps at all" to his friends that emmy tried to peel shrimps for. Got mad at aydin for cleaning her wounds! Cleaning her wounds!
Unfortunately for the both of them, time was not their biggest friend, and they both werent healthy and mature enough to figure this out earlier, so even if they got together earlier, they still would have so many misunderstandings, and those problems will just be amplified with all the hurt and miscommunication that were already going on at that time or way before that. So yeah, in the rare moments where words matter, maybe Emmy would seek words of affirmation (like will LTERALLY confessed to her on the train, and she still wanted to run away lmao), but it's definitely not her go-to love languages, but Will's the opposite, and by fire night, we saw how they've worked this one out and knows what kind of ways they love to be loved. I wished PD had shown us this instead of whatever bullshit that was the last 20% of Nightfall. Even in Fire night we just cant have them alone! The torrance's bloodlines always had to be in everyone's businesses somehow 🙄
Anyway, i love your latest fic, but a comment i'd like to add, i wish everytime you post something sad in a fic, you double up the fluff, your fluff writing is just so!!! 🥹🥰🫶 i always reread your fics just to saw more glimpses of willemmy frfr, so thank you for the boost of serotonin!
Ahh nice to see someone who knows what’s going on because I certainly don't! See, I never looked much into love languages because from what I understood, we all require all aspects of the different “languages” to have a healthy, thriving relationship, but it was trying to determine which one communicates love the best way for you, if that makes sense. So it was like, your primary method of displaying and understanding love. So to have multiple seemed redundant to me? But I really love your analysis and explanation! It’s so clear.
Regarding the physical touch, you brought out so many moments that I hadn’t touched on and it just solidifies for me that physical touch is important to emmy – and it makes sense too! She’s a builder. She works with her hand! Touch is going to be one of her most important tools for processing information, whether she realizes it or not.
This shows how much I don’t think about Alex and Aydin – I hadn’t made the connection that the times Em heard noises in the wall, it was when she was bonding with Aydin. It would be a good reason for some of Alex’s behavior. I think it went over my head because, well… aydin. But also I just assumed that Alex had made the same connection I had – everything Aydin did was all for her, so it wouldn’t have mattered if he bonded with Em in the process when she was still clearly his focus. But maybe that’s just the way I’m looking at it. Either way, it would be a good explanation for some of Alex’s jealousy and some of her other behavior.
I think you’re talking about this scene -
Tumblr media
I hadn’t ever pictured her naked, though. In my head, she arrived on the train with clothes (not her clothes, but clothes), and they were all dressed, so it made sense to me she’d be in something too. Besides that, she mentions later that she found the overalls in Rika’s closet but she’s also wearing a black bra, so I just assumed she already had it. Not that it matters either way. It just took me a second to remember what you might have meant, lol
Acts of service and Words of Affirmation are probably going to be tough areas for her, because of the reason you mentioned. They were often mixed and crossed by the people who could cause her the most pain. So she would value actions over words. Words mean nothing if the action isn’t there to back it up. Kind actions are especially valuable to her. Even more so if they’re done quietly, without calling attention to it. That’s such a good observation on your part.
Will did talk a big game, but failed to follow through. It fed into Emmy’s doubts about him, and rightfully so. Emmy made mistakes, but I don’t think they make her a bad person. For me, it’s just easier to point out that neither one of them were perfect. They both made mistakes, and that’s what makes them such great characters to root for. I think Will’s were more serious than Em’s, for sure. I also didn’t expect him to be perfect and I don’t blame him for not being perfect. Sometimes, and again it’s probably just me, it seems like some of the readers are mad at Will for not growing up faster when he had every advantage or they’re mad at Emmy for hurting Will when he “clearly” loved her (though I agree that it wasn’t that clear to Em because his actions didn’t match his words and often it was really confusing because he’d be nice, but the second she didn’t return it he’d remind that the could find anybody to take her place. That’s what some of the die hard will stans call love? Seriously?... couldn’t be me.) And like… yeah. They both screwed up at times. But that’s why they’re so great.
I’m getting off topic again. Anywho.
You’ve got excellent points about Will’s love language too. I’ve discussed some of my HC about his family and background. It would go along with that that he was raised on kind words and never developed any reason to doubt them. Words would be enough for him. And in fact, like you said, something he’d need to hear and hear constantly. I think this would probably be truer with Emmy, considering their history. He might need to hear it more often from her. Her silence might even bother him a little bit, despite knowing he shouldn’t doubt her. It could even take her a while to learn to say it because she’s used to displaying her love through action and touch. And just like empty words mean nothing for her, touch wouldn’t be enough for him. He’s been touched so often by so many. Touching/physically affection doesn’t mean love. It’s just… touching. It feels good in the moment, but it doesn’t last. It lies.
You brought up so many good moments!
These two… they’re so much fun.
(I have noticed the Will/Damon shippers, and it doesn’t really bother me. What canon is and what we make of canon are two different things in my book. I will say, when I wrote the post about Will and Damon I was bringing out the depth of Damon’s affection for Will, and specifically thinking of their friendship, but what people use it for is besides me. I never thought of Will as bi, only desperate. And same for Damon. Desperate for different things, but desperate, nonetheless. I’m actually surprised there isn’t a bigger shipping cultural between all of the characters but maybe this is something I’m blind to since I have a singular focus. And being straight myself, I wouldn’t be qualified to say if it’s queerbaiting. I always thought their relationship was quite clear. I also never thought Will would end up with anyone but Emory – not Alex or Damon or someone else. From Corrupt, the endgame couples were pretty clear to me (except for Banks but that’s because I didn’t know she existed yet). I would even be hesitant to comment on Damon’s sexuality because I think the other Anon said it really well – he used sex to manipulate and bond. It was usually a means to an end with little meaning, until Winter.)
Which was why I said willemmy’s love language in the past and until the train scene were sad, because I feel like if that whole Martin-abuse thing didn’t happen, I bet emmy would have probably caught onto this earlier and loved Will so good the way he wants and needs to be loved.
They would have been so cute in HS if it weren’t for Martin. But now I have the scenario in my head of Will waking Em up in the middle of the night to ask her the worm questions.
And she’s all like “I’m questioning my love for you right now.”
“You serious?”
“No. go to sleep.”
“…but…babe. You do love me right?”
Like he needs to know. He needs to hear her say it. Even at three a.m.
PD said that, about will not liking to share? I feel like that contradicts a lot that in my head, but whatever.
Yeah!
But the idea of emmy being one of those girl’s who’s scared to hear words of affection is also hilarious. I love it.
Tumblr media
Will forcing her to listen to him say I love you. Emmy crying on the inside.
I know right? Those damn torrances messing up all my willemmy moments.
Ahhhh! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the fic. I usually go for the sad stuff. But what can I say, I like problems. I’ll try to put out some fluffier stuff in the future.
Thank you!!

Chickamauga National Park: Part 2 of Chattanooga Guide
Today’s Destination: Chickamauga National Park: Part 2 of Chattanooga episode.
Today’s Misstep- Driving over hills, a tire came at us
Travel Advice: What exercises should I do when I travel?
FAQ: What do you wish you knew before booking your flight?
Response: A few more questions you can ask someone before you plan your trip are:
Did you experience any frustrations related to the destination or the actual traveling?
If so, what should people be aware of to avoid those frustrations, hopefully?
What websites or services were the most helpful for planning/booking your trip?
What advice would you give someone going there for the first time?
What was the most enjoyable or relaxing part of your trip?
Today’s destination: Chickamauga National Park Part 2 of the Chattanooga series
It’s officially called Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park near Lookout Mountain. Use your National Park Pass for free entry.
http://cityofchickamauga.org/
When I first visited Point Park, I explored this area on the border of Georgia and Tennessee for about an hour. It’s across from the visitor center and was built by the Army Corps of Engineers.
You can see artillery from the Confederate fighting.
The Battle of Chickamauga, fought September 19–20, 1863, marked the end of a Union offensive in southeastern Tennessee and northwestern Georgia called the Chickamauga Campaign. The battle was the most significant Union defeat in the Western Theater of the American Civil War. It involved the second-highest number of casualties in the war, following the Battle of Gettysburg. It was the first major battle of the war in Georgia.
The battle was fought between the Army of the Cumberland under Maj. Gen. William Rosecrans and the Confederate Army of Tennessee under Gen. Braxton Bragg, and was named for Chickamauga Creek, which meanders near the battle area in northwest Georgia (and ultimately flows into the Tennessee River about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) northeast of downtown Chattanooga)
There is also a monument to peace, The New York Peace Monument, symbolizing reunification and reconciliation.
  http://cityofchickamauga.org/about-history-chickamaugabattlefield.asp
Look for marble and pink granite materials. Visit the museum at Ochs Memorial Observatory for views of the Chattanooga area from the terrace. You can continue hiking the trails to other scenic views from Lookout Mountain. I first visited this area on a bus trip with my high school friends in the 1970s, and this was my first visit to return.
I drove the two hours from Atlanta through some small towns and highways and finally to some neighborhoods and scenic drives. When you get to the neighborhood, you will drive on windy roads that take your breath away.
This is a Step 1 or Step 2 destination and easy to explore independently. There is also a cute Visitor Center with restrooms and a small museum. The awe-inspiring view from Lookout Mountain Battlefield over Point Park shows a bird' s-eye view of the Tennessee River and how it bends, a bit like a foot at the ankle. You see the city of Chattanooga from above when you go around the bend. You can even see the three bridges that cross the river to the town.
The battlefield here was memorable, and you can follow the signs for the Chickamauga Battlefield Tour. Or you can just enjoy walking the grounds around the peace monument and listening to the birds chirping. It’s an excellent way to enjoy your day in Georgia or Tennessee.

Today’s Misstep- Driving on the road over hills, a tire came rolling at us and hit our car.
You’re generally safe from tires in a car, but this tire stopped us. We hit the tire and could not drive any further. We got a tow truck to bring the car home, about 200 miles away. It was an expensive tow, and I hope you don’t have that experience.
Today’s Travel Advice- What exercises should I do when I travel?
Try to stay as active as you are when home, which means you should try to maintain the same levels of activities, even if you are on the road a lot. You may need to take frequent breaks in your drive to stretch, walk a bit, and even do more intensive exercise. Stretch every two hours on a plane or train. I try to find a pool where I can swim anytime I travel. I am a member of the YMCA, where I can go anytime. There are more than 2700 YMCAs in the USA and also in 120 countries around the world. That’s how we both can keep our exercise routines when we travel.

Varanasi, also known as Kashi or Banaras, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and is considered the spiritual capital of India. It's famous for its ghats (steps leading down to the river), temples, vibrant culture, and religious significance. Here are some of the key tourist attractions in Varanasi:
Tumblr media
Ghats of Varanasi: The ghats along the banks of the River Ganges are the heart and soul of Varanasi. Dashashwamedh Ghat, Assi Ghat, Manikarnika Ghat, and Panchganga Ghat are among the most famous ones. Visitors can witness various rituals, ceremonies, and bathing practices along these ghats.
Kashi Vishwanath Temple: This ancient and revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is one of the holiest shrines in Varanasi. It's known for its impressive architecture and religious significance.
Sarnath: Located a short distance from Varanasi, Sarnath is where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. The site features several stupas, monasteries, and the famous Dhamek Stupa.
Assi Ghat: Situated at the confluence of the Rivers Ganges and Assi, this ghat is known for its serene ambience and is a popular spot for yoga and meditation.
Manikarnika Ghat: One of the oldest and most sacred ghats in Varanasi, Manikarnika Ghat is where Hindu cremation ceremonies take place. It's believed that cremation at this ghat leads to liberation from the cycle of rebirth.
Ramnagar Fort: Situated on the eastern bank of the River Ganges, this 18th-century fort is known for its unique blend of Mughal and Indian architecture. It houses a museum displaying vintage cars, royal costumes, and weaponry.
Bharat Mata Temple: Dedicated to Mother India, this unique temple doesn't worship any deity but instead houses a relief map of undivided India carved out of marble.
Tulsi Manas Temple: Constructed in the 20th century, this temple is dedicated to Lord Rama and is built at the place where Tulsidas, the author of the Hindu epic Ramcharitmanas, is said to have composed the text.
Banaras Hindu University (BHU): One of the largest residential universities in Asia, BHU is known for its sprawling campus, iconic clock tower, and Bharat Kala Bhavan museum showcasing a vast collection of artefacts.
Gyanvapi Mosque: Located near the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, this mosque was built by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb on the site of an erstwhile Hindu temple.
These are just a few highlights of Varanasi, a city that encapsulates the essence of spirituality, culture, and tradition in India.
