Every day I am reminded that I spent an important part of my life in a very very very tiny fandom. Something something back in my day we ran rarepair events that required a ship have less than 10 fics because the popular ships were barely breaking 100.

I’m in a special kind of rarepair hell of my own making.

I recently got into a new show and immediately felt motivated to write and finish multiple short fics for it, which is very rare for me (I even posted them!). The buddy dynamic between the villains was just too fun for me to resist.

I also made a bunch of gifsets and drew fanart to the point that you have to scroll quite a bit through the Tumblr tag to finally see someone who isn’t me.

All that is to say that I’ve had enough of this dude, and by “this dude” I mean me. I keep getting excited by seeing the ticker on my tag tracker go up one, only for it to be one of my own posts, or mistaking my own most recent fic for a new one by someone else. I hope the fandom tag gets canonized soon so I can follow the RSS feed and avoid being jumpscared by my own stuff, lol.

Anyone else have a fandom and/or rarepair like that?
