percabeth is out in new york for christmas shopping. (canon complaint, college era)
Sweet Nothing
The one where Annabeth isnt so sure about being a mom, and Percy comforts her. (adult percabeth)
Mine
one-shot about the time Percy gave Annabeth the coral pendant. (canon complaint, set pre tlh)
multi-chapter:
The Bolter
When her dad calls, Annabeth turns off the phone.
They'd always been that way: Frederick writes a letter to camp and she burns it at the campfire, he apologizes to her and she proceeds to cover her ears. (...) Her dad catches and releases her, then, she gets caught and releases herself, breaking free of whatever expectation he ever had for her, or worse, them.
-a deep look into Annabeth Chase's relationships and family dynamics, focuses also on percabeth with flashbacks and flashforwards.

whenever anyone asks someone their favorite percabeth moment from the pjo series everyone’s always like “oh the underwater kiss for sure. it was so cute. idk how anyone could think otherwise!” and don’t get me wrong, it’s cute and i do love it , but if you ask me, i know that’s not gonna be my answer. i’m gonna say “definitely in the sea of monsters when annabeth hears the sirens and percy comforts her.” i mean, is nobody gonna talk about how genuinely sweet but heartbreaking that was? annabeth listens to the sirens and sees herself with a happy family and luke who never turned evil. that was all she wanted. and keep in mind, they’ve only known each other for about a year. so when percy goes up and just holds her while she cries??? so yes, that is my favorite moment in the whole dang series, not just between them.

let me be the one you want
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: luke castellan x gn!reader
summary: luke can't understand why you'd want to be with percy, when you could be with him instead
Tumblr media
"what do you even see in that guy?"
luke huffed and rolled his eyes, as you continued to watch percy from afar, as he laughed and talked with annabeth.
"i don't think you'd get it, luke"
you knew that luke wasn't the biggest fan of percy, even when he tried to be nice to him. of course luke wouldn't see what made percy so special to you.
"yeah, you're right. i don't get it" luke said. "i don't get why you're hung up on a guy that likes another girl. especially when you could've had me instead!"
for the first time since luke started talking, you turned around to face him. finally, your eyes were on him, instead of percy. even if it was just for a moment.
"you know… i could be the one you want. i could make you forget all about percy, if you'd let me"
luke stepped closer, a smug smile on his lips.
"are you going to let me?"

i really want to talk more about annabeth's trauma. i want to see annabeth crying with sally because percy’s been gone without a single word. i want annabeth to help sally with the dishes and realise that she isn't the only one hurting, she shouldn't be so selfish and think that she was the only one heartbroken. i want to see them both talking about funny things percy did, even though they were both on the verge of tears. i want her to think that percy's going to appear out of nowhere, just like in bolt, but deep inside she knows he isn't isn't isn't. i want to see her asking everyone and everything about percy, hearing no no no every time. i want to see her (despite everything) pray to the gods, hoping percy's safe. i want to see her not concentrating at chb and talking in a broken voice at skl. i want to see her coming to sally's house every week and breaking down down down, even though percy would want her to be strong.
we don't talk enough about how annabeth treasures things that are permanent.
she doesn't like change. she'd spent her whole life building "fixed" walls between her mortal family, her mum, and even percy at first. it took her so long to realise that percy was permanent, they were going to stay together forever, and just as she was slowly taking down her walls around him and others, he suddenly leaves without a word.
bc all she'd known was everyone leaving her, especially people she was just getting to know properly / she already loved them. her dad. thalia. luke, zoe, bianca, silena, beckendorf, jason... the list goes on and on.
i will add more to this. someone add more to this.

Piper's POV
"Hey! Percy!"
The man in question turned to greet me with a smile and a wave as I crossed Camp to reach him where he stood on the docks of the lake. I waved back as he called out to me.
"Hey Piper! What's up?"
"Have you seen either of our girlfriends?" I asked, finally coming to a stop in front of him with both hands on my hips. "I've hardly seen mine in days."
Percy shook his head, a fond grin pulling at his mouth all the same.
"No, Annabeth's been holed up in her cabin working on some crazy architecture-engineering project. I was actually planning to check on her today, make sure she's remembering to sleep and eat and drink water. Your girlfriend's probably right there with her, if you want to join me."
"Yes," I decided without hesitation. "Yes I do."
****************
Y/N's POV
"Okay, what if we changed the building material all together?" I asked, slumped all the way over the table in the middle of the Athena cabin, one hand absent-mindedly tugging at my hair. Annabeth and I had been tearing our hair out trying to perfect a joint engineering-architecture project, and without sleeping or leaving our cabin for a few days, we were both starting to go a little crazy.
"We could... but wouldn't that affect some of our design elements here, since it won't hold weight and interact with other materials in the same way?"
"Ugh, you're right. So, do we change the design to fit the existing material, or do we change the design to try to accommodate a new material? Which one do we think will give us less of a headache in the long run?"
Annabeth hummed, staring at the blueprints and the 3D mockup we'd made on Daedalus' laptop for so long that I thought she might've fallen asleep with her eyes open. Finally though, she took a deep breath in and moved forward, turning the design and pointing at it with her face so close to the screen the blue glow completely lit her up, even with a few low lights on in our cabin.
"What about this space right here? Could we fit in some extra supports or something like that with minimal design changes?"
I leaned forward, getting my face right next to Annabeth's to look at whatever she was seeing. At the same time, I heard the door to our cabin slam open behind us, sunlight flooding the dim room. I hissed, throwing my hands up and turning to glare at whoever had just interrupted our work session so rudely, only to find my girlfriend standing in the doorway with her hands on her hips, Percy Jackson right behind her.
"Did you literally just hiss?" she demanded. I just narrowed my eyes at her.
"What are the two of you doing?" I whined. "And can you shut the door please? The glare's gonna make it hard to see the details we need to on the screen."
Piper and Percy shared a look that I didn't love, then both crossed the room to Annabeth and I, leaving the door wide open behind them. To my left, I saw Annabeth glaring daggers at Percy, but my attention quickly shifted to Piper as she came to a stop right in front of me, hands still on her hips.
"You've been sitting in this cave working in the dark nonstop for days," she said. "You need to take a break and go outside, you fucking vampire."
"No, Pipe, I need to finish this project. Seriously, we're so close-"
"We're not close," Annabeth deadpanned from beside me. I whipped around to look at her, mouth open and eyes wide from betrayal, but she just looked back at me with a blank, exhausted face. Vaguely, in the back of my mind, I wondered if I had the same raccoon dark circles under my eyes as she did. If so, it would explain why Piper was acting so urgent.
Annabeth just shrugged in response to my glare. Percy had his arms around her shoulders, and I could see her giving in to his persuasion inch by inch.
"We're not close. We found a major flaw that's going to take a lot of work to fix," she said with a tired sigh. "It might not hurt to take a short break. Who knows, maybe inspiration will strike once we finally focus on something else for a change."
I gave a long, dramatic, drawn-out sigh, then flopped my head back to look at my girlfriend. Her arms were still crossed, and I could tell that she was not going to give up before she drug me out of this cabin.
"Fine. What, exactly, did you have in mind for a break then, Pipe?"
She grinned and held out her hand. "Come on and let me show you."
With a tiny little bit more whining and complaining from me, I let Piper lead me out of the Athena cabin and into the sunlight. Percy found similar success, and he and Annabeth headed towards the lake while Piper and I peeled off towards the forest.
"Don't tell me your idea of a break is taking me into the woods to fight monsters," I teased, still holding Piper's hand as I trailed behind her through the cabins. She glanced back to shoot me the stink eye.
"Of course not, don't be ridiculous."
Part of me had been expecting more information, but I should've known Piper would keep making me wait. None of her surprises had ever failed before though, so I didn't mind too much.
A few minutes later, just beyond the first few lines of trees, we came to a small clearing with a picnic laid out, right on the edge of the creek. This close to Camp, we were unlikely to run into monsters, which made this the perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon with my girlfriend.
"You are... incredible," I said, a little dazed as Piper and I settled onto the blanket together. She grinned.
"I know. But I'm always happy to hear it. So do you want to tell me about that project you're working on?"
I eyed her suspiciously as I took out a sandwich, not sure if she meant it or wanted to test if I'd really let the work go for the afternoon break. Piper caught the look and rolled her eyes with a sigh.
"It just seems like an important project that I haven't heard a lot about yet. You don't have to talk about it now, but if you want to tell me, I'd love to hear about it."
I grinned, biting into the sandwich as I leaned back against Piper. She put her free arm around me without hesitation, and with every second I spent close to her like this the stress of the project melted farther away.
"I love you, Pipe. But I'll respect your break bubble for now. Let's talk about what you've been up to while I've been holed up with Annabeth."
"Are you sure?"
I nodded. "Totally sure. Maybe later I can talk about it a little, but right now, as the focus and adrenaline are wearing off... I think my brain might be a little too fried to think about it anymore."
Piper laughed, then pulled me in a little closer to her.
"Well, let's see if we can do anything about that, then. Um... Rachel convinced me to help her with some painting yesterday."
"Ooo, really? What did you paint? Can I see it?"
"Sure. It can be the next stop on our break tour after the picnic."
I smiled, not even bothered by the new activity that would take me away from work a little longer. My project with Annabeth was important, and I loved the work we were doing, but I also loved my girlfriend. Every single moment that I could spend with her I wanted to take, and I truly couldn't imagine any better place to be. Thank all the gods and Fates that I had her in my life.

Percy Jackson. Where to start.
He got looks everywhere he went at camp. Some were jealous. Others were delighted. But the rest… the rest were hungry for his attention. His validation. A smile, a laugh if they were lucky.
That’s what Annabeth hated the most.
There was no doubting the way Rachel looked at him. Like he was her only interest. And it was obvious he had talked to Calypso on Ogygia. It’s a miracle he came back, she thought to herself, secretly relieved. She felt horrible for feeling that way, but she couldn’t help it. The Aphrodite girls always circled him at bonfires, desperate for his intention, his gleaming, twinkling sea-green eyes that could sink ships. They were like waves, she imagined sometimes. Ocean waves that were so inviting, she almost jumped in.
But loving Percy was complicated. Sometimes he seemed to be giving the right signs, and sometimes she was two feet in the friendzone. Sure, she was starting to sound like your typical highschool sophomore, but she didn’t care. Every bit of common sense she had went out the window when it came to him.
Athena didn’t approve, of course, but that didn't matter.
Annabeth sat on the grassy fields surrounding the camp, lost in thought. She had a clear view of the entire place from here, which was why it was her favorite. But she chose to focus on only one person, the person that had her drowning in a pool of her insecurities, her flaws, her doubts. He was the only person who ever made a mess of her like that. Not even Luke had such an effect on her. She hated anticipating her face in a red flush, making herself a fool as he chuckled in amusement. She hated how every other girl would die to feel his touch. She hated how everybody wanted him.
It was selfish, she knew that. They were best friends, nothing else, so why should she care? But she didn’t want him as a best friend. She wanted to know what it would be like to love him, and for her to love her back. It was a fantasy that kept her awake after dusk and until dawn.
She was falling. Annabeth pulled her knees close and hugged herself. This was scary. She was falling—fast—and she needed something to stabilize her. It was like flying, but only until she met the ground with a sickening crunch. She loved it and despised it at once. Annabeth never thought it was possible to feel this way, but Perseus Jackson was all about doing the impossible. Hell, he’d escaped death too many times to count. He defied the very laws of existence. Sometimes she wondered how it must be to grow up that… beautiful. Sea-glass eyes, windswept hair that never failed him, that smile.  There he was. Riptide a blurry figure, his delighted laugh echoing through the pines as Clarisse fumed.
He was the ocean wave. She’d drown if she jumped. But was drowning so bad when it came to him?

BABY, JUST SAY YES
a percabeth fanfiction
“are you planning to marry her?” sally asked bluntly. “you’ve said things like ‘when we’re married’ before, but you and i haven't ever talked about it. i haven't heard the two of you talking about it, and she hasn't said anything to me, either. and you know i hear about your relationship from her before i hear it from you, so although this doesn't mean you haven't talked about it, it doesn't fill me with confidence that you have.” percy blinked. “of course I want to marry her. mom, I’ve wanted to marry her for almost ten years now.” “have you talked to her about it?” or: percy talks to annabeth about getting married

I hate you for what you did (and I miss you like a little kid)- post tlo percabeth oneshot
The night of August 18th, camp half-blood was quiet. So quiet you could hear a pin drop. So quiet that it was scary, unsettling even: ‘cause camp never was and never had been quiet in the slightest, not until the night of August 18th, at least.
The campers and so the nymphs and dryads, even the birds up in the trees were silent, for one night only they all stood still: the adrenaline and hysteria from the victory of the battle of Manhattan was fading away, leaving behind only destruction, grief and loss.
Endless bunk beds remained empty, out of owners; the Apollo cabin was sad to look at: not a glowing ray of sunshine anymore: just dark and hollow. Nearly empty. Everyone understood that those missing souls deserved a little peace and quiet…even the chirping birds.
After the faint celebrations and laughs, after Clarisse and the others threw them in the lake, calm had settled…and that unescapable air of death had dawned onto the whole hill, brought by the night.
Annabeth was quiet too, laying still in her spot, her hair and clothes wet from the dunk in the lake, her lips salty from the kiss. Awake and mute: much like everyone else.
She’d dreamed of this night since the very first time she held her dagger: the time she was going to win, the one where she would get all the glory she deserved. Annabeth licked her lips again, balancing herself off the fact that they tasted like Percy’s…she got all the glory she wanted; she was a hero, she was a savior. Nothing could’ve prepared her for this moment, no fantasy of her child self could ever give her this emotion: Annabeth didn’t feel like a hero was supposed to, no, Annabeth felt like a murderer. She rubbed her palms on the sides of her shorts, still sensing the warm red blood that had stained them the same morning.
Luke’s blood. Luke’s blood all over Olympus, all over her clothes, all over her hands. She couldn’t seem to let go of the feeling of it, in the faint light of cabin six she could see they were clean and pristine, though it wasn’t enough. Annabeth wondered if she would feel it on her palms forever, if she would have to rip away her skin because of it.
She wondered if Percy felt it too. The blood on his hands. If he could see it splashed on the ground every time he closed his eyes. She ran her hands through her curls, trying to shake off the shivers that were running over her body: probably because she was soaking wet and hadn’t bothered changing into dry clothes, though Annabeth wasn’t sure that was the only reason.
He did it himself, Luke killed himself, she kept thinking, while asking herself if that really was the only possible option, after all. Maybe she could’ve saved him, maybe if she’d agreed to join him he would be well and alive now. No, you couldn’t- her own mind retorted to her thoughts, she tasted Percy’s lips again and shut her eyes close.
If she’d loved Luke like he wanted, maybe everyone would still be here…Annabeth’s brain reeled non-stop, endless scenarios started playing in her head; but the salt on her lips got stronger by the second, invading her own mind, Percy calming her with his memory.
It only had been a few hours since that underwater kiss, still she wanted more, Annabeth longed for the stinging salt on her lips: it almost made her forget about the burning sensation on her palms. As she put on her yankees cap and sprinted down to cabin 3, not a lot went through her head but the fact that she so desperately needed something to remind her that loving was worth it, that it didn’t always end up with blood stained blades.
The cabin’s front door easily opened, startling Percy in the process, who wasn’t asleep, like the rest of the campers. He sprinted to his feet, riptide in hand and eyes wide open, when he spot her standing she could see every piece of his body relax, he started whispering: “you-”
Annabeth, not wanting to break camp’s silence just yet, cupped both sides of his face and kissed him, quickly, a little awkwardly maybe…they still hadn’t discussed what they’re relationship was at, but their lips meeting again seemed right, even if it was shy and short, it was better than anything they’d ever felt before.
When she pulled away, their cheeks were flushed, it took Percy a few seconds to finish what he was saying: “...scared me, you scared me bad” his words were as low as possible, a little smile started growing on his lips.
“I’m sorry” was all she replied with, making herself at home and plopping her cap on the nightstand, "I'm sorry" she muttered again, more to herself this time, while tasting more salt on her lips. "I- " she tried to put it into words, and Percy said it for her:
"I know" he wore deep dark circles because of the insomnia and he kept his voice just a low breath, she knew he was trying to help out, but it somehow managed to make her even more anxious: she didn't want him to know. She'd hoped he wouldn't understand.
Percy put a firm hand on top of her shoulder, Annabeth noticed just now that she was still shivering from the cold and exhaustion, “do you want to um-” Percy sighed, preparing himself for what he was about to say:
“do you want to lay down?”
Those words hung up in the air for a few seconds too much, Annabeth had never been in cabin 3 this late at night, and even though technically they weren’t dating, it felt more than two best friends laying next to each other on a mattress…if you consider that the best friends in question enjoy kissing from time to time.
It was something they’d never done before, but just like the kissing part, it felt okay, it felt right. Annabeth didn’t say anything as she quietly plopped onto the right side of his bunk bed, he followed a moment later and laid next to her, pulled close by the small bed, their faces facing the ceiling.
She quickly discovered that the beds in cabin 3 were more comfortable than the ones in 6, laying on them was like being lulled by the warm waves of the night, whereas in the Athena cabin the bunks were lazily pressed to the walls, with hard and narrow mattresses…her mother’s message was clear: sleeping isn’t important.
His side pressed onto hers to fit on the bed, Percy’s body stiffened in awkwardness, but then quickly noticed that Annabeth wasn’t even noticing the closeness, she seemed to be on the lookout for something he couldn’t see, distracted by visions, she was rubbing her palms on her jeans as if her hands were really, really itchy.
With little thought, Percy grabbed her wrist, “don’t do that” he stated, his voice wasn’t mad, just concerned: her skin had a reddish color and looked irritated by the constant stress she was putting it in. Pushing through the embarrassment, he squeezed the hand in his, just to stop her from hurting it, Annabeth’s brain cleared out from the fog at his touch, she opened her mouth and quickly closed it again, realizing she didn’t have much to say. The silence was nice enough, why ruin it?
Percy might have thought the same, because they stayed quiet, the only sounds being the ones of their breaths itching close, him fidgeting with the covers with his free hand, confused on why she’d burst in at night with no explanation but, on the more honest side, not caring that much about it. She’d kissed him for three times, all in the same day, it was a win even bigger than the one they had in the morning.
That was when Percy’s brain clicked: Morning. War. Win. Luke. Shit.
He felt his heart drop to his stomach. She watched Luke die that morning, of course she was acting weird. Of course she couldn’t sleep like he couldn’t, of course he hadn’t thought about it because he was too busy noticing their arms slightly touching. Before he could even begin to figure out what to say, Annabeth talked for the first time in 30 minutes:
“I didn’t love him” she clarified, out loud, as if to get that out of the way: as if her bursting in and kissing him on the spot wasn’t enough. Annabeth shut her eyes, embarrassed by her own words, by her feelings, “but until he was alive some deep small part of me thought-” her voice quivered, she tightened her eyes shut trying to keep the tears in, Percy finally let go of their barrier and reached out to hug her close, she let him do it and pressed her face in the crook of his neck, silent tears started falling on his shirt, “I thought he could change” she mumbled, he whispered in her ear: “he did change” but Annabeth shook her head “he changed too late” her voice was becoming resentful, angry.
“I hate him so much, Percy” she sightly pulled away from his embrace, meeting his eyes and wiping away some tears, “I really do, but-” a deep sigh, “-but I also miss him” she covered her face with both her palms, trying to wipe away the sadness “I miss him more than I would like to, and there’s nothing I can do about it”
“but I don’t love him” she re-stated, Percy unconsciously took a sigh of relief, not really helping it, “that’s okay” he muttered, picking her hand once again, with their faces itching closer, she looked down at her tangled fingers…this wasn’t like her, going on talking about her issues and troubles: but this night, the night of August 18th, it was too much to bottle inside, she’d felt his death hover her, forbidding her to sleep.
Silence fell over them once again, Percy stared at her, the only light being the blue hue coming from the water fountain, her hair was still damp and she still had that warrior aura that had came over her that morning during battle…come to think of it, Annabeth always had it around her, to him, she was like one of those greek princesses that traveled with a dagger beneath their gown, only she wore it proudly on her belt; Percy’s throat dried up at the sight of her, from the fact that he could actually feel their hearts synchronize because of their closeness, he bit the inside of his cheek, trying to push away the nervousness.
Annabeth kept fidgeting with his hand, in her own way, she was avoiding his eyes, so he knew she must’ve been nervous too, feeling more secure of herself, lighter from the earlier confessions, she asked, out of the blue: “are we dating?” he wasn’t expecting her to ask, but instantly replied, with no hesitation whatsoever: “I hoped so” his tone was more fragile than Percy wanted it to be, he felt her squeeze his hand tighter, “good” she mumbled, a small smile appearing on her lips, the first of the night: “I think-” she got closer to look at him better and he mirrored her, finally meeting her yes, “-I think that’s the only thing I’m sure of right now” Annabeth finished, not letting go of his hand, her palms still red and scratched: only now she’d stopped sensing the blood on them.
Percy stopped in his tracks, thinking that it was a good place to start: being sure of what they were to each other after years of pining, they both stared into each other's eyes for a rough minute, Percy’s gaze casually slipping down to her lips eventually, Annabeth cleaned her throat after a while, “can I…can I spend the night?” she asked, trying to break through the quiet, he answered on the spot: “of course” he said, beginning to get up from his spot, “I can sleep on the other-” “Percy” she cut him off, her hand still grasping his, pulling him to her.
“oh. oh, of course” Percy mumbled under his breath, a deep blush spreading all over his face as he re-adjusted himself next to her, “I think we can sleep together” she went on, showing an amused grin at his reaction, “It’s not like we haven’t done it before” she whispered, draping an arm over him, sinking deeper into the covers, “we’re still best friends, after all”
Percy felt his chest warm at her words, when she finally laid her lips back on his, it was better than he could ever expect it to be: the awkwardness had melted away and the kiss was slow and laid back, when he pulled away he was more red than before, if that was even possible.
“best friends don’t do that” he mumbled under his breath, not breaking eye contact, Annabeth’s smile got wider “we do” she declared, Percy kissed her again, she pulled away almost laughing out of happiness, which to him felt like biggest win of all: considering how upset she’d come in, “thank you” she said, “for being there, you know” Annabeth’s face heated up, he kissed the top of the hand he was holding, “we’re best friends, after all”
She rolled her eyes at the mimicking, secretly flattered by his ability to remember every single one of her words, he went on: “we’ll get through this war” he sighed, “or better, the ending of this war” she hugged him and finished: “hopefully this time they’ll leave us alone”
Something tingled at the back of Percy’s brain, deep down, he knew that wouldn’t have been the case, they both did. But this wasn't the time to worry about it, they needed their time to heal: the new prophecy had to wait. He took a final deep sigh before drifting off to sleep: “hopefully”.

Give me Percabeth pre-HoO. Give me Percy driving after school to go see Annabeth, and staying in her dorm way too late. Give me Annabeth being genuinely happy for one of the first times in her life, all because this seaweed brain stole her hat and made her kiss him three times to get in. Give me Percabeth having a weekend sleepover at Sally Jackson’s apartment watching movies and stealing kisses that last a little too long. Give me Percy taking Annabeth out on their first proper date where he’s super nervous and slightly awkward, but it’s perfect because they’re together. Give me promises under the night sky that they’ll be together forever, and kisses that make their hearts ache in a way they’ve never felt before. And then give me Annabeth crying with Sally because Percy’s been gone for two whole weeks without a single word.

I’m here, don’t cry
Tumblr media
percy jackson x daughter of aphrodite! reader
warnings: mentions of tartarus, self harm, ptsd, body image issues, partial nudity in a non sexual way
a/n: this is my first story and i would really appreciate feedback if anyone has (please don’t judge, it was my first time! also sorry this took so long!) quick warning: this was not proof read! i tried to get it out as soon as i could!
you told percy you weren’t feeling well as an excuse to come back to your cabin early. he offered to come with you, but you couldn’t let him see this. you closed and locked the door and sank down with your back against it. being the aphrodite cabin, you guys of course had mirrors everywhere. it was normally helpful with so many of you always looking at your reflections, but right now it meant you couldn’t look anywhere without seeing your face that you hated. you got up and walked to your bed, crying silently. when you reached the bed, you grabbed your pillow, opening the pillowcase with shaking hands, reaching around trying to find it. once your hands felt cold metal, you knew that you had found it. you pulled out the small metal lighter that you had gotten a few years ago when you got to leave camp on a special occasion. engraved on it were the words “my skin is not a candle, so i won’t burn it. my wrists are not paper so i won’t cut them.” when you first got it, it was right after your dad had died and you had become a year round camper. you had entered a dark state, and needed the reminders. within the last year or so since you and percy had fallen into tartarus, you gave up on thinking that way. you took off your top and pulled off your jean shorts, throwing them carelessly on your bed. you glanced up again at the mirror, seeing your face that you hated so much. as you turned to the side, you looked at the same mirror from that view. no matter how little you ate, you still hated your body. the tears began falling again, this time flowing more than they did before. you sat down on the floor with your back against the edge of your bottom bunk. you flicked open the lighter and ignited it, watching the fire for a few seconds, mesmerized by the dancing flames. you moved the lighter closer to your inner thigh, the flame only an inch or so away from your skin that had so many scars from other nights like this one. as you moved the flame closer, right about to touch your skin, you heard the door knob rattling. “shit” you cursed under your breath. “who is it?” you called loudly. “babe?” you heard the voice you knew all too well. “y/n, why is the door locked? are you ok? y/n?” of course percy had worried about you and followed you to your cabin. “one sec perce” you respond, quickly closing the lighter and putting it back in the bottom of your pillowcase. you walk to the door and unlock it, slowly pulling it open. percy rushes forward and hugs you tightly. “i was worried about you, baby” he says while nuzzling his face in your hair. he then steps back to talk to you and realizes that you’re in your underwear. “oh, uh sorry i didn’t mean to, um, i just- i’m gonna turn around now.” he said, stuttering while his face turned a dark red. you covered your mouth with your hand, giggling at how all he wanted to do was make sure you were comfortable. then you looked down and realized why he was so flustered. you felt ashamed because he had seen your body and quickly covered up while walking away. you sat down on your bed slowly and began crying while putting on an oversized t-shirt. “princess are you alright?” you heard him call, concerned, from the other side of your cabin, still facing the other way. you tried to respond, but your voice was too weak. then, before you could even realize, you felt yourself slipping away into another relapse. suddenly, you were there again, in tartarus, reliving those horrible days.
“percy!” you called desperately. you whirled around and it was then that you saw him. he was lying on the floor, bloody and beaten, on the verge of death. you ran over to him, sobbing loudly “percy!” you screamed, but now your voice was full of agony and despair. you kneeled next to him reaching down to hold his hand. “perce, i’m here” you said, your voice barely above a whisper now. “princess? is that you?” he responded quietly, but you could tell he was in pain and it broke your heart. “princess, come on wake up” he said, a little louder this time. “what do you mean percy?” you cried desperately, worried that he was leaving you forever. “baby c’mon, wake up” you heard him say again, and all of the sudden you were snapped out of the relapse.
you looked up at percy, who was holding you in his arms. you broke down and fell into him, wrapping your arms around his neck tightly. “i’m here baby, don’t cry” he muttered against your hair. you guys stayed like that for what felt like hours, but was really only a few minutes. “i’m sorry perce. i’ll try to be better for you.” you mumbled against his neck. “princess, what are you talking about? you’re perfect, and nothing will ever change that.” you pulled back from him and lifted up the end of your shirt that fell mid way on your thighs. you grabbed his hand and guided them towards the scars, crying silently as you did so. “baby i don’t understand? is someone hurting you?” he said, using his other hand to cup your face and wipe away your tears. “i’ll kill them, i swear princess, whoever it is won’t get away with this. i-” “percy” you interrupted. he looked up at your face, clearly confused. you silently pulled out the lighter from your pillowcase. “percy, i didn’t want to have to tell you this, but i-” you began crying and he took both hands and wiped away your tears with his thumbs while placing a kiss on your forehead. “it’s ok baby, i want you to be able to tell me everything. i promise, i’ll love you no matter what.” you looked up into his eyes and said “percy, i- i did this to myself.” his eyes widened after a moment realizing what you meant. “i’m sorry percy, but since we got back from the pit a few months ago, i’ve been-” you were cut off by him ducking his head down and hugging you as tight as he could. you dropped the lighter in shock, but then hugged him back. “hey, baby, don’t cry, i’m here. it’ll be ok. i’m sorry if i ever made you feel like you’re not enough because you’re perfect, i swear it on the river styx. i love you so much more than i can express. you’re beautiful, princess. i love you to olympus and back, a million times.” he said while holding your face so you couldn’t look away and so he could wipe away your tears. he slowly reached out and put the lighter in his pocket. “i promise, princess, i’m gonna help you get through this. you’ll never have to be alone.” he kissed your forehead and just held you for a minute or two. “c‘mon baby, let’s go back to my cabin. you can sleep there tonight and i’ll be there if you have a nightmare or even if you just want a hug.” you slowly grabbed his hand and whispered “i love you too percy.”

⚠️ searching for a lost fanfiction ⚠️
Dear percabeth fanfiction reader/writer I'm looking for a one shot very short but one of the most well written shit I've ever see (about one chapter or two)
I remember finding it on Tumblr (it was a link to ao3). It's not an alternative universe, Percy and Annabeth are ennemies, they play capture the flag and they got trapped together and they kiss, I think it's from Annabeth pov. If you have read a fanfiction like that pleaseee comment I hope internet magic will do it's thing 😭
thank you in advance !
