also i think i am having a bad allergic reaction to the mold in my office. there’s mold in my office btw

#their solution was to clean the carpets and talking about hiring pros to come in and clean the walls #then sending out an email about how taking everything off the walls would too hard.#but there’s lysol wipes in the hall if you’d like to clean them yourself #anyways i started getting a really bad cough and a little congestion last week.#also had a covid exposure at the office so i was freaking + testing like crazy bc i was getting respiratory symptoms + mildly elevated temp #all negative‚ requested an extra remote day just to be safe. cough went away and i felt much better after a few days. figured it was a cold.#worked my first full day in the office again today and the cough is mysteriously back and worse.#now i’m no doctor house but —#ig my next move is getting tested for mold allergy?#and if i have to submit an ada request to have Working In A Place With No Mold be granted as a reasonable accommodation.#that will legitimately be the funniest thing ive ever done.#there is everyone’s too much personal detail liz update of the day We Live in A Society

sooo true, anon. unfortunately we live in a world where people hate women 😔 but i will say you're right, it's gotten a lot better recently. i think it has to do with a combination of me really curating my audience over the past year, and in general things are very different now compared to when i started in 2020. more genderlocked companions, more trans characters, and it's pretty common now for games to have poly romance options, as well as love interests that will pursue other characters if the player doesn't show interest in them. (the last 2 being things people really hated Merry for in the beginning)

people definitely still don't like it, but i think they are more of a loud minority now than the loud majority like they were previously. which has been a really nice change to see :-)

#or maybe im just in my own little world after annoying everyone away LOL #but i've definitely noticed a change recently regarding Merry #i used to get a Lot of messages about how much ppl hated her or wanted to beat her up #very normal things #but now i definitely feel that she's become more of a favorite #again i think that's also largely bc i have a predominantly trans audience now compared to before #and my opinions and uhhhh. Personality have definitely pushed certain crowds away #and i've also talked a lot abt how weird ppl have been towards Merry which i also think has endeared her to some people mdnfkjs #unfortunately at the start tho she was a woman (gasp) a trans woman (double gasp) and she flirted with Lea and was antagonistic #which people REALLY did not like. mdnfkjsfh #i still get the occasional out of pocket message and i suspect after some scenes in the next update i will get a few more #but i DO still think it's definitely shifted and more people like Merry these days than ever before #so. go Merry!!! 🎊#feminism<3 #ask #anonymous

heads up it turns out a lot of the new jukebox the ghost is actually really great!!!! i was out here thinking their music had just gotten worse but it turns out just a couple songs happen to be terrible and the rest is good

#like i hate wasted. but i got a girl and brass band are both so rad #i had made my judgements on their new stuff based on getting older. for the record. but that was just a random low point in the middle of #good stuff. and it wasn’t even that bad of a song i just decided it meant i should keep only listening to the older album i like #anyway i’m seeing them in concert. tomorrow. as a christmas present from my sister she gave me aldi-brand oreos and concert tickets for us #and it’s tomorrow so i’m listening to their new stuff cause loving let live and let ghosts won’t carry me through blending in at a concert #anyway some of their new stuff is annoyingly overproduced and sanitized like it sounds like radio music. but that is not all the new music #and it’s really exciting to have made that revelation!!!! and in other news i have a doctor appointment a week from tomorrow #where i try to get a medical diagnosis to go along with my problems so that i have standing to apply for an elevator pass and stuff #and speaking of which i’m a little nervous about going to a standing room concert when i’ve been extra unwell lately?? but i should be okay #but yeah anyway i’m doing the closest thing to seeing tally hall that i can in this day and age. so wish me luck shdhdf #i’m scared but also excited. and i’m really enjoying the piano stuff on their newest EP #now starting their album from slightly earlier and not sure i feel about it yet but generally optimistic!!!!#in final news i have a socratic seminar next hour for a book that i hardly managed to read 20 pages of. so hopefully i can fake it/make it #i would read it right now but something about the font literally won’t translate into actual words in my brain. and the content is weird too #(the kingdom of this world by alejo carpentier i know it would be cool if i could process and pay attention but instead i’m just confused)#but so in conclusion. the new jukebox the ghost is actually pretty rad and i recommend at least giving it a chance #if you happen to be like me and had not gave it a chance shdhdf. anyway i should probably look at a spark notes #but yeah. life updates of: doctor appointment and concert and jukebox listening. i keep drafting and not posting #so here’s some words from me. hope everyone is well. maybe a call again sometime would be good #i guess in a few weeks when everybody is in the places where they live. anyway hi the rest of tumblr i’m secretly talking to wext shdhdf #hope the rest of tumblr is doing okay as well. okay i gotta go study now and stuff #but i got a girl and brass band are highlights of their new stuff so far #again hope everybody is doing okay!!!!#also ask to tag for whatever #me. my post. mine.#delete later

#did an escape room with the fam on my sister’s birthday two days ago and my brother made me feel stupid the entire time #wouldn’t listen to me wouldn’t share or let me help and then act like i wasn’t helping (??? let me then)#and because he’s Loud my whole family was following his lead and ignoring me #but in the end i was the reason we won bc i was the only one who immediately understood the word riddles AND the one who wrote down #all the numbers he said we wouldn’t need. i was the only one who could connect the past information with the current problem #the only one who listened fully to the cd and decided to write down the locations without it being relevant yet #the only one who thought the tiny details might be relevant and the only one who automatically fixed his mistakes bc i noticed a pattern #and in the end still got no credit for anything (except from my mom) even tho if they had listened to me from the beginning they would’ve #been less stressed and finished sooner #then at the restaurant he didn’t listen to me again and we ordered too much even tho i told him we wouldn’t need it #THEN after dinner my grandma started texting me all frustrated telling me i need to keep my aunt updated on what’s happening thru the day #so she doesn’t feel left out. bc she’s having a rough time lately. bc it’s my job to make everyone feel better #FIRST of all this woman ignored me for years when her ex husband decided i wasn’t worth it #and now suddenly it’s my job to keep u informed on my every move so u don’t feel left out?? text me urself. ask what i’m doing.#ask HOW i’m doing??? do u even care beyond a ‘what colour is your sturdiness today namaste’#every time my aunt complains about the tiniest thing and starts crying about it it my grandma blames everyone else #no one even knows or cares if i’m having a rough time #she came to ‘help’ when my mom was sick and i did everything for her instead. and then she threw a fit when i wouldn’t eat her salad #when i was too exhausted from staying up all night with my mother to go on a run with her the next day #my mom finally got mad at her for implying i’m lazy all the time and told her i’m ‘neurodiverse’ and do things my own way and she didn’t #even know what that meant so my mom was like ‘on the spectrum ‘ and my aunt just got mad that she had never told her #would it have made a difference at all? would u have expected different from me?#meanwhile i’ve done so much for my cousin… including taking care of luca the entire time she stayed with us. i had him all the time #i didn’t mind. i love that kid more than anything. but everyone expects everything from me like it’s just a given #i talked her through every problem every breakdown walked on eggshells to keep her happy and then what does she do when she leaves?#ignores me. doesn’t come back when she said she would. complains that i don’t include her in things #bc sometimes i have quiet conversations with my sister so i don’t bother everyone #and then gg wants to know why i won’t come see her? why i won’t drop everything to fly there? my aunt wants to know why i don’t call?#because despite loving me u have made me feel inadequate my whole life. some of u more than others #and i’m tired. and it’s time for me to Be me For me without justifying it to everyone else.
