Welcome to Neo City
A city whose crime bleeds down from the highest penthouse to the dregs of the sewers below. Among the rabble, two powerful gangs vie for control of the criminal underworld — the NEOs, lead by the ruthless and infamous Jaehyun Jeong, and NCT, their leader former NEO member Johnny Suh. Jaehyun and the NEOs, having established the most successful criminal enterprise in the city, maintain a powerful influence, but Johnny and NCT pose a threat to Jaehyun’s unchallenged rule.
Mark Lee, a young hustler new to the scene but making a name for himself outside of the law, puts himself on their radar as word of his capabilities makes it way down the crime grapevine. Jaehyun, seeking to further his gang’s reach, recruits Mark into the NEOs. But when Johnny hears of the NEOs newest member’s success, he seeks to enlist Mark’s help to usurp the NEO gang from their long-seated place as number one in the underground crime ring. He plans to use Mark to take them down from the inside — starting with Jaehyun. Cut off the head and the body shall follow.
Double-crossing the formidable and dangerously unpredictable crime lord is a death sentence, but Johnny won’t take no for an answer. And Mark can’t afford to make enemies out of either of them — not when the police turn a blind eye to the wanton crime and enemies of the gang leaders have a knack for disappearing without a trace. His life tossed around between two power-hungry criminals hellbent on taking each other down, Mark must enact a series of dangerous heists, play agent to both gangs, to survive on the cutthroat streets of Neo City.

'There was something that I thought to myself as we experienced and felt that series of things and went through the process. “Turns out I cherish NCT 127 more so than I thought.” I really dislike anyone inflicting hurt upon us, I hoped that we could prepare any album that we release amazingly and with a high level of completion, and I don’t think I can stand any moment where we are judged as worthless. Hence, I grew even more thankful towards the members and wanted to prepare the album with greater definiteness.
As I prepared for the album, I conversed with the members a lot and we worked diligently to prepare many things. Through countless meetings and conversations, we came to this conclusion: “Let’s be cool.”
For this album that could very well become our last whole group album before the start of military enlistment, rather than giving it a meaningless meaning or showing off something new, we got to prepare an amazing album that we have been thinking of since our debut.
With an honest heart and with me saying this carefully, someday we may not be complete as we are now and disappear too, but even that last image of us shall be cool.'

2023 Recap of Everyone’s Favorite Boy Group Girls
8:00PM || January 1, 2024
Tumblr media
There is no doubt that 2023 was a big year in the K-Pop scene, but there were moments with our favorite boy group girls that seem to have affected their lives greatly during the last 12 months.
Let’s take a look and see what has changed for them.
Tumblr media
MIYA - Graduation, Comeback, and Enlistments
BTS Miya had been on hiatus from being an idol ever since the end of the short digital promotions of ‘PROOF’ (aside from the 2022 Yet To Come concert and the last few months as MC of Show Music Core alongside NCT Jungwoo and SKZ Leeknow).
With the finals of her senior year in university ending in the first week of July, Miya marked the end of her idol hiatus by featuring on groupmate Jungkook’s single ‘Seven’ with a verse that surprised fans with its suggestiveness.
She then had her graduation, one all seven members of Bangtan were able to attend alongside her biological and her adoptive brothers. The BTS members posted a video of Yoonmi while they all gathered around her singing the song cover they had made in their earlier years entitled ‘Graduation Song’.
Not only did she graduate university, but it seems she graduated from the innocent makdungie image she had earned in her childhood and made a solo comeback for the first time since 2020 with a sexy concept.
Finally, the biggest change in Miya’s life may be the fact that she is facing life for the next half a year without any of her members by her side as the members of BTS all chose to enlist at relatively similar times in order to come back as eight as soon as possible.
Tumblr media
HANNAH - New Roommate, Song Writing, Styling
NCT Hannah admitted on an Instagram live towards the end of December how one of the biggest changes in the past year had been her living situation. Although living in the same building as always alongside the rest of NCT and WayV, her roommate situation changed.
For the first time after six years, Hannah and groupmate Mark stopped being roommates. Although Mark now only lives in the room next to hers, the space he used to occupy was filled by the one person Hannah likes to call her twin flame: Haechan.
The singular girl of NCT showed off her writing skills, filly taking over writing the lyrics for NCT Dream’s ‘Broken Melodies’ with some help from Mark. Though somewhat participating in writing before, this was the first time she had worked on verses that aren’t her own and worked on a whole song.
Hannah was also given the opportunity to become a stylist for the now 21 member group for the NCT 2023 comeback for ‘Golden Age’, ‘Baggy Jeans’, and the track videos and concept photoshoots the group had.
This opportunity extended to the NCT NATION: To The World concerts as well as to the Neo City The Unity tour which will continue into 2024. Hannah is rumored to be working on a product launch possibly for NCT merch of her design sometime in the following year, although sources are not 100% accurate.
Tumblr media
SERI - Kittens and Hollywood
TXT Seri is well-known in her fandom for wanting her own pet. She was fond of previous pets kept in the dorm such as Taehyun’s snake Aengdu and Soobin’s hedgehog Odi. She even expressed some affection towards Beomgyu’s parrot Toto despite having a fear of birds.
In the past year, the TXT dorm had earned a new pet to live with them: Seri’s cat Haengbok (or Bokkie, as called by her members). Haengbok was a 3-year-old cat that suffered a loss of home before Seri adopted him.
Haengbok not only accompanied them in their dorm, but throughout their tour as well. Members noted that, since adopting Haengbok, Seri had become less stressed and more efficient with managing her time and keeping herself on track.
Seri also faced a big opportunity in being presented the chance to sing for the official soundtrack of ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes’.
On a track produced by BTS Miya, Seri was able to showcase a different color of her vocals as she showcased her musical background and brought the story of Lucy Gray Baird to life through the song ‘Can’t Catch Me Now’.
Tumblr media
ARI - Provider and Disney
Enhypen Ari has been the most quiet of the four in the past year, but fellow groupmate Sunoo revealed on Weverse live that Ari had taken a much bigger role in her family.
Beginning 2023, Ari had apparently decided to shoulder the tuition fee of her little sister for the rest of her school life. Sunoo noted that, while Ari’s parents told her she didn’t have to do so, Ari insisted she wanted to in order to repay them for their support towards her dance and now idol career.
Ari’s family financial background is not uncommon knowledge to many in the K-pop community, being a story of success through hard work and dedication. This fact alone was enough to make the community proud, whether a fan of her or not.
Ari was also given the chance to portray a brand new beloved Disney character by singing the Korean version of the official song of the movie ‘Wish’ entitled ‘This Wish’.
This was a showcase of Ari’s vocals that caught the attention of many people who only previously recognized her for her dance skills and stage presence. Because of this, Ari is now being seen as one of the 4th generation idols with the most star potential.
Tumblr media
The year proved to be one of growth for the four boy group girls, posing them with opportunities to be tapped into for the next year and many more to come.
We wish them the best of years ahead and look forward to what they have in store for us in 2024.

The tour and the solos
Some thoughts on the messy schedule of January-February of 2024 and lack of American leg for NCT Unity tour.
Foreword. I think we, fans, should get used to this order of things. SM gets more and more artists, more and more neos do solo activities. It becomes impossible to dedicate socmed for a period of time to only one unit or a member. It's not just solos. BA work, YT content announcement, magazine pictorials, etc. - these activities also need to be announced, and they break a sequence of promotional material of the member under the spotlight.
Ideally, an album should be announced a month prior to its release. Three weeks is the usual time for SM. Three weeks of pre-release promotional run+two weeks of music shows+a week or two for "tails" (fanmeets, bts yt content, some magazine articles). A month and a half. 4 units, 2 comebacks per year. 8x1.5=12. As you see, a smooth series of comebacks is possible in an ideal scenario and without solos. However, some units have 3 comebacks (+singles/Japanese releases). Some months are bad for comebacks (Olympics, holidays). I didn't include NCT/NCT U/DJJ/solos. Not to mention, members get sick, members get tied by obligations to third-parties (tv-series, BA appearences), and there are multiple possible reasons for delays in production of albums and MVs, multiple ways a "perfect" schedule can go awry.
That being said, a schedule for NCT still can be paced better than we had this winter. I would not like a repeat. I think it is the result of catching up with things (Ten's solo, it was postponed), priorities (Wish debut at SMtown), and Taeyong not having much time left (enlistment) with the need to continue with 127's Unity tour (Tokyo Dome, March 9-10). In addition, both Tae and Ten had BA appearence obligations at the time of their comebacks. Even if they don't take too long, they still affect scheduling of fanmeets and concerts.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
If you browse X, you'll easily see fans believing SM is intentionally sabotaging NCT 127 and some neos (Taeyong and Ten). "SM can't let them become too popular". Such statements are close to a fan's heart, evoke immidiate emotional responce.
Where is the proof and argumentation though?
It is indeed not peachy inside SM right now. Kakao, Hybe are the new biggest shareholders. CEOs were changed. There were talks about the board consisting of only finance guys, and artists trying to fight back. Ongoing investigations of Kakao, SM and Align that helped to oust LSM. A constant mayhem. I don't even go there.
NCT is SM's current bread-winner (together with aespa). After LSM/Kakao/Hybe feudal war SM needs to show investors its 3.0 plan is working, that the company is profitable, it will have money to pay dividents, that despite foreign investors losing interest in k-pop companies and pulling out, and SM stock falling low because of investigations, SM is still a worthy company to trust its money to. Believe in it, and it will come out a winner, and stocks will rebound. Hence, SM needs good sales from NCT and all the members. SM needs money. The company is undergoing a big change and is buying companies in US and establishing new ones for music production&distribution, not to forget SM needs money for the new groups (they will take time with investment return).
Secondly, 127 neos are approaching contract renewal. It is not the time to dissapoint them and make them think of possibly parting ways. Yes, Taeyong now knows his worth and alludes to it in interviews. Who will bring money then? Dream? They have their renewals same year. Who says they won't decide to join their hyungs after witnessing a bad treatment of them?
Intentionally sabotaging the artists, making them regret being signed to the company, simply doesn't make sense in the current situation SM is in.
Taeil had a duet song with an indie artist once (whose company is an SM's sub-label). I consider the video for their song as the bottom of SM's lowered standarts. Nowadays covers get a better treatment.
Now, think of the quality of photoshoots and promotional videos Ten and Taeyong got. Clear concepts were developed, professionals were hired, everything was organised quickly, solutions were found (like wigs for Tae). Both were given a lot of say, their opinion listened to. Taeyong got to perform on music shows the song he likes the most (Moon tour) and the one (APE) he asked to be added to the album after A&R offered him their list. By the way, the quality of print of the latest albums is much better than Resonance.
Fans heard Taeyong used one of his jackets (the white puff one), and run with the story he styled all other outfits and did his own make-up, lol. Since when Taeyong is a make-up artist? As for Loewe, it's how it's done. Brands give clothes to idol companies to be used and advertised, it's benefitial for both parties. Jaehyun is constantly in Prada in recent 127 MVs.
Money on promotion should be spent wisely. Afterall, profit starts only after the expenses are covered. If some type of advertisement is costly but brings little exposure, is not effective, it shouldn't be implemented. It is better to spend those money on something else.
Beyonce can promote her album through one twit, and that will be enough, it is because she has the capital of her name. Fans tend to not realise this about idols. New groups need a lot of promotion to gain fans. For older artists their name does the work, they already have a fandom. K-pop is not for general public, it's a niche product. The 1,2 mln Spotify subscribers on Tae's channel will hear the new album without any special ad. Same applies to subscribers on other music platforms.
Despite Taeyong giving only two concerts in a small venue (Seoul has a problem with venues, this one is used by many k-pop idols), his concert was prepared better than Link. He flew in the air, there was a giant "T" letter, lightsticks were synchronised. Taeyong decided on the setlist himself, he was given full reign over it.
Whatever problems there are on the upper level with higher ups, the staff at NCT centre worked with intention to do right by the artists.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
A lot of money was invested in American market. 127 spent a month there. It is not reasonable to just forget about it after the effort brought results. During Link tour 127 spent 2 weeks in NA and gave 8 shows. Meaning, even a short-lasting trip is enough. The more concerts (with the same setlist, props, choreos) a tour has, the more profit and return, afterall. Again, it is not reasonable to shorten it, when it is actually a well enough prepared concert.
So "Why"? I think it is a simple result of "squeze in" approach. Normally, Tae's 2nd album would be released later, but he wanted it before enlistment. If Taeyong enlists somewhere in late March-early April, then perhaps the US leg was sacrificed for his solo. MarkHyuk also need time to prepare for Dream activities, at least 2 weeks, I guess.
To be honest, the lack of NA concerts puzzles me. Japan is more profitable (domes) and more convenient (close), so it takes precedence. Still. Taeyong is the only culprit I can think off, lol.

Thank you for your thoughts about my question concerning why BTS fans seem obsessed with what EXO members are doing even to the point they're complaining about Jin having to go serve yet Kai and Sehun don't and it's so stupid: Jin born in 1992, Kai and Sehun born in 1994. Make it make sense. Those are the only two left to enlist and they're not even 30 yet (global age) Anyway they keep up with EXO stats and unprompted will bring up BTS paved the way and EXO fans are "crying" about it lmao I am so confused because most EXO fans who aren't BTS fans don't give a fuck about what BTS is doing. Most of us are just waiting for a full group comeback, the first in almost 5 yrs lol if Lay is involved, that's even longer since we had an OT9 comeback. I just don't get the obsession they have needing to be concerned with what the "flops" are doing if BTS are so much more than Kpop according to a lot of them. It's so annoying to see the nonsense because even though I used to be a big BTS fan, I can honestly say i truly do not care what they're doing, or winning or anything like that. I don't keep tabs on them. Their success has nothing to do with my favorite groups and the quality of music I have been enjoying from them. BTS can go on to win every award until the end of time, it changes nothing for me so I really don't understand why they feel awards and numbers makes a hill of beans to how music fans enjoy music and why they think it matters to everybody.
Anyway, I also asked about WayV lol Did you skip them purposely or you forgot? 😄
Also is SHINee queer??? Lol
I'm gonna talk about WayV, the rolls royce of NCT, on a separate post (hopefully tomorrow). I think they deserve the spotlight.
SHINee are queer? Did I say that? Must have been a typo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why do army obsess over so-called flops? I think it's about validation. It makes them feel really good to make other groups of people ostensibly feel bad. They're not music fans (the ones you see behaving like this). They're people who are part of a cultish subculture that gains energy and attracts attention through different forms of bullying and manipulation. It will be interesting when someone makes a documentary about this.
Idk I'm a music fan. I listened to 1.2K different artists last year, which is actually low for me! I've been close to 1.5K before. Anyhow, I like to pay attention to different artists and enjoy what they have on offer. In fact I just caught up on Jackson Wang's Magic Man series and that shit is cray. Loving how balls-to-the-wall he went. I just don't think it's at all interesting to focus on streams or accolades. What I care about is how the music, and the performance since we're talking about Kpop here, hits me. In that sense I think it's good to keep up with different artists. What's not good is doing it just for a sense of superiority. That's not contributing to respectful environment in which art thrives. That's capitalistic nonsense that crushes creativity. Hmm, why is that familiar?
Roll on EXO reunion! I want to see what they got.

(the anon is me) Honestly, when I saw the discussion, I HAD TO JOIN sjsjsj so tyty
I get that- honestly, the only reason I got into kpop was because my cousin forced me at first because I was obsessed with Motionless In White and she wouldn't let me come over until I learned everything about BTS so I had to put that obsession on pause for BTS . So, I did and learned I actually did like their music so far! I mean, I'd prefer to have found them on my own but I mean, at least I get to say I was there from the "beginning" sjsjsj (not saying that being there since the beginning is more important or anything, it's just nice to find people surprised when I tell them.). but honestly, happy for you that you found your ults <33 and SAME, love them <33 I just got into Monsta X so please, anything you'd like to share, I'd love to hear???
LITERALLY WHAT I'M SAYING. Some people in fandoms become so toxic, even to others in the fandoms. How about the fans that believe you aren't fans unless you can remember every members birth-date, blood type, place of origin, etc. LIKE I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER MY OWNNNN. I get wanting to know about them because they're your idol or whatever your reason may be but you don't gotta hassle others about it, others aren't obligated to know such information and plus, some are multi stans, such as myself, and literally can't harbor ALL that knowledge. We are NOT spencer reid sjsjsj- NGL twitter stans scare me sometimes but some are absolutely lovely. But I still keep my distance like you do, better safe than sorry. But the tiktok edits are always something else LMAO the amount I've seen posting the funniest shit ever of the idols really make my day. (I will now send you some when I see them, if you're cool with that-) and I block people who do fanwar stuff. I just think everyone has their own taste and if you don't like anothers, you don't have to say anything, just leave it alone and block the person if it bothers you so much.
SOWJOIJSOIJ stahop you're literally so sweet, thank you <333 I barely meet any metalhead kpop stans T-T to be honest, when i see other metalhead pages, most of the time in their DNI is just Kpop stans and I'm literally making the ಠ_ಠ face cause dude, why so mad?
YOU'RE SO REAL FOR THAT sjsjsjs Honestly, I saw Hobi and was like, yes. HIM. and to see how far they've come WARMS my heart. But the enlistment always got me on my toes.
LMFAOO my bsf showed me chewing gum by nct dream and shine by pentagon and i was hooked.. but yes i definitely know what you mean!! ugh yes mx is so so so good i really recommend their series that they did called 'puppy days' (?) it's just them hanging out with puppies for the day and they literally have to nap halfway through the day bc they're so tired LMFAOO - it's so cute!! that's my favorite piece of mx media hehe
don't get me started on fans that gatekeep FROM OTHER FANS.. i'm really really bad at remembering dates so like kim mingyu my love!! i'm sorry but i don't have enough space in my brain to remember your birthday and my mom's birthday, and only my mom will be upset if i don't </3 you literally won't know </3 i always see their posts about it and silently wish them a happy birthday but like i do not always remember and that is okay!! ugh or people that scold you for not streaming mvs.. babe i have a big girl job and i go to big girl school i do not have time to stream an mv!! i am going to listen to the song if i like the song.
i think a big component of internet drama like that is age/maturity.. i'm not saying that every young person is immature and every older person is mature but like,, even just looking at my 15 year old self is so different in terms of maturity and i would have totally engaged in stupid pointless fanwars just to be right on the internet.. now i don't even fight with people on the internet for good reason lmfao i just block and scroll and it's SO BENEFICIAL to my life
not the dni... people get so creative with those omg i feel like mine is just generic lmfao - it astounds me to see some of them!! i don't necessarily think it's a bad thing, they're just curating their online experience like they're supposed to, but it is interesting to see everyone's preferences laid out in the open like that bc i'm not used to it
YES i love bias-at-first-sight <3 aw yeah i know that's coming up soon!! i wish you the best <3

[INTERVIEW] Xiumin - 220105 Clash Music: “"I've Always Valued Courtesy" Xiumin Interviewed”
"Behind the Korean star's new fashion capsule...
“Manners Maketh Man” is a motto Kim Minseok likes to live by, so much so that he’s made it a key part of his latest creative venture.
The eldest member of K-Pop juggernaut EXO, known under the stage name Xiumin, has integrated the quote (which most people will probably recognise from the blockbuster franchise Kingsman) into a capsule collection he’s designed with LA-based clothing brand Represent. The line, which is made up of staple basics like t-shirts, hats and sweatshirts, also includes designs based around his favourite number (it’s 99, in case you were wondering!). The latest in a line of collaborations with artists that include label-mates Ten Lee from NCT and Max Changmin from TVXQ, Xiumin sees this collection as another way to connect with fans who he’s celebrating almost a decade in the industry with.
The collection, which launched on December 17th, rounds off an incredibly busy year for Xiumin, who became the first member of EXO to wrap up their mandatory military enlistment at the end of 2020. Since then, he’s piled his plate high with creative ventures. Following a celebratory ‘welcome home’ livestream, March saw Xiumin front his first solo fan meeting and mini-concert, returning the captivating performer back to the stage after almost two years away. June then gave EXO fans (known as EXO-L’s) an unexpected treat with the seven active members of the group releasing a special comeback album 'Don’t Fight The Feeling' to celebrate their ninth anniversary. Finally, in the latter half of the year, Xiumin treaded the boards as part of the Korean version of Broadway musical Hadestown in the lead role of Orpheus. It's fair to say that 2021 gave him and fans a lot to be excited about.
Now, as we enter a new year, Clash catches up with Xiumin to talk about his personal style, how he gains creative motivation from fans and goals for 2022.
Congratulations on your clothing collaboration with Represent! How did it come about?
I first heard of this collaboration through the team who’s in charge of artists’ collaborations. I actually was already familiar with the project because MAX CHANGMIN of TVXQ! did one before. I thought this collaboration would be a good opportunity for me as well so I was excited to participate.
Was venturing into fashion and clothing something you always wanted to do?
When I normally was working on albums before joining the army, “comfy” was the greatest meaning of fashion. So for me, fashion was mostly sweatsuits, but after being discharged from the military, I started to have a lot of interest in dressing up myself with various fashion styles. I gradually became more and more interested in fashion, and it made me want to design something for myself, hence why this collaboration is meaningful to me.
What was the process of designing the collection with them?
As this is the first collection collaboration for me, I thought it would be really difficult and challenging to create something from nothing. Represent’s manager Jenna [Holtzman] encouraged me to start with “what are the things that inspire me, what am I most interested in,” such as phrases and numbers, etc. Then, Represent’s design team drafted various designs for me to develop. They also helped me reflect my opinion on the collection, so it was easy to approach and the overall process was great.
One of the main designs is the phrase ‘Manners Maketh Man’ from the film Kingsman - what is it about that quote that you like? Is that one of your favourite films?
I’ve always liked the Kingsman movies. I watched the entire series, and I liked it so much that I watched all the previous films again before I watched the most recent one in the series, The King’s Man. The phrase “Manners Maketh Man" touched my heart because I’ve always valued courtesy even before the movie.
What is the meaning behind your lucky number, which also appears in the collection?
The lucky number that appears in the collection doesn’t really have a special meaning to it. I know it could sound a bit silly, but I just like how 99 is the largest two-digit number, and how it gives the feeling of being big and full.
The collection is described as being based on your personal style - how would you describe your style? Is there any aspect of clothing that you particularly enjoy?
I like comfortable styles, so I prefer overfit designs rather than tight fit. I think I like how it is easy to move in this style. I like that this collection reflects this “comfy” feeling really well.
Your personal style is obviously different to the style you adopt on stage or in performances, but do you have a particular favourite look so far from the concepts you’ve been a part of?
Since it is my job to adapt and perform, I have experienced diverse fashion styles and concepts, and would love to experience more. I especially liked the concept from EXO’s album LOTTO. The clothes were really simple but we used different accessories and jewelleries to liven up the concept. Not only the fit of the clothes, but also the hairstyles and makeup all helped create that “rich” concept.
What inspires you when it comes to being creative?
There may be a variety of inspirations when it comes to being creative, but there are two main inspirations – first of all, I can’t leave out EXO-L. EXO-L is the driving force behind EXO’s Xiumin. The other inspiration is the relationship between myself and other people. So, I wanted to communicate with fans as well as people around the globe through this collection.
This rounds off a really exciting year for you, which also included a comeback with EXO, a solo fan meeting and a role in Hadestown - do you have any particular favourite memories from the past year?
I wanted to perform on stage SO much while I was in the military service, so all of the activities afterwards were great and memorable. I guess it was a time when everything felt so meaningful.
With a New Year ahead of us, do you have any goals for 2022?
For goals next year, I am preparing a solo album so that I can release it in 2022! Also, I want to try acting. But most of all, my biggest wish is that everyone around me will have a healthy 2022!"

220107 "I've Always Valued Courtesy" Xiumin Interviewed
Tumblr media
Behind the Korean star's new fashion capsule...

The phrase “Manners Maketh Man'' touched my heart because I’ve always valued courtesy even before the movie.

Oohh true, true! Plus we do have the comeback soon so that also means it won't be very soon? It has gotten very confusing very fast thats for sure lol but your post did confirm and clear things up. I'm curious to see how it will play out, we have the new series which is not related to the new comeback but its own thing. Maybe it will tell a story? That would be interesting to see! As for the solos, we all thought side by side would be apart of it so it seems to be more random per se? We can only wait and see!
Lol I'm not alone with tbe app buying then haha but oohh yeah I also noticed that! I think Amazon used to not have the choice of picking which version for some albums so to see other stores give that option is nice! Im guessing the ones from western stores are cou ted to billboard more than Korean charts based on when bts and nct sold their albums in the states so that is good! You are helping them chart in some way (also a daily reminder to fans to please don't stress about streaming! I know we're not at the comeback just yet but please have fun with the comeback!)
*hugs you* thank you! I am going tl try to power up the game tonight and play a lil bit (wish me luck. Game can be tricky lol) I feel like once I complete the game, it will be my proper goodbye to her in a way. Indeedy, sadly what happened did happen. As much as I would like to turn back time, we have to move on. Of course healing however we can, keeping yourself positive and just keep swimming as it was said in finding Nemo lol (ignore the cheese) she was a happy bunny, a rascal as well like oh my gosh hdjabxjs she LOVED causing chaos but it made things fun! That's what's important! Remember all the happy times not the sad ones. I wheezed xD rip the papers in the house. My bunny was the same though she preferred to chew on cables, specifically headphones like I lost 4 pairs from her and she always was able to find them even if I hid them away from her on my bed lol. I swore she had some gps for headphones haha. Thats a sweet frame your mom made! Also your new meow meow, sending good vibes your way! Looks like a very cuddly cat to me in that pic
Ps happy 6 years with the 13 beans!! :D here's to amazing more memories! Hopefully we can be fans for as old as Gandalf haha. Also I read other asks about enlistment and my oh my, I never thought it was THAT quick for the boys!! Like it never clicked to me until now
yeah, we probably won't see another TTT solo until after Your Choice promotions have died down ;-; in regard to Power of Love my prediction is that it's more theme based rather than one story, bc that's how SVT tend to do things like how heng:garae, semicolon, and hitorijanai were all a part of Svt's "youth" theme, but this time the "love" theme is more official? or maybe not more official but just marketed more obviously dhfj but who knows! maybe SVT will switch it up and have a storyline for this project ^^ and i think the TTT solos aren't necessarily random, it's more just with jun and minghaos things are a bit different since they already release solos marketed toward the Chinese market (even though side by side had a kr version). like i think it's possible that jun and minghao had their solos in the works before they came up w the concept of TTT and the release just happened to line up with spider/the start of TTT. so i guess what I'm saying is china line are the only ones that might get confusing, i think if solos get announced for other members they'll likely be part of TTT
and yeah it looks like sales from most if not all of the US retailers are gonna count toward the billboard charts! i think i also saw there was one place that would count toward billboard and one of the kr charts too but i can't remember specifics. if you/anyone wants me to look into what retailers count for which charts just let me know and I'll look into it ^^
good luck with your game! i know you sent this yesterday so you probably already played some of it but i hope it went well!! but omg a GPS for headphones DHFKGJ your bunny sounds really cute even if she was a bit mischievous :')
yes happy 6th anniversary!! i haven't been around the whole time but it's still so hard it's been so long. and yes hopefully we'll all be together with SVT for a long time, here's to hoping that one caratland skit of SVT as old men will come true DHFKFJ
and yeah not a lot of ppl have started talking about Svt's enlistment yet djfkfj tbf it is still somewhat early, i think carats are right to focus on the present for the time being rather than counting down the days. i just randomly thought of it :')

Yuta had a problem: he couldn’t keep his mind off of Taeyong.  He had immediately been taken in by the contrast between the new recruit’s wide eyes and soft expressions and his sharp features and rough background.  However, over the course of a little over a week, Yuta had only found himself slipping farther into dangerous territory that made him question his decision to help Taeyong out by taking him on as a partner.  He questioned himself when Taeyong’s shirts would ride up and expose the soft skin of his lower stomach, or when Yuta would catch his subordinate zoning out with his fingers running over his lips.  These moments sometimes made Yuta feel like a creep, but it was nothing compared to the way most men he grew up with treated women.  Also, he had at least a sneaking suspicion his little infatuation might be reciprocated from the way Taeyong would flush easily at any praise from Yuta, for example, or the few times when Yuta thought he heard a hitch in Taeyong’s breathing when Yuta addressed him seriously or got into his personal space.
Yuta had always needed to be careful – his closest friends among the Inagawa-kai knew he liked men and could not have cared less, but being gay was so stigmatized amongst the yakuza and in Japanese society in general that any inkling of Yuta’s secret had to be vigorously guarded to avoid disaster.  That’s why Hirai Goro had decided years earlier that at twenty-five, Yuta would, for the protection of the family, marry his daughter Momo.  Momo was his best friend since adolescence and was as uninterested in men as Yuta was in women.  It was an ideal arrangement, but one that had to be carefully managed.  That wedding would be in a year.  In the meantime, Yuta had learned to be careful with his encounters, stay in queer-friendly spaces away from work, and read small cues from potential partners since nothing would ever be clearly spelled out for him.  He was rarely wrong, and he thought he would be right again about Taeyong too.
“Yuta-san?” Jaehyun’s voice on the other side of the door rattled Yuta out of another Taeyong-induced stupor and he remembered that he was in his office, leaning over his wooden desk with the Miyazaki file disassembled in front of him.  Even if Yuta hadn’t recognized that warm voice, it could only have been Jaehyun who, as an unofficial member of the operation without a defined position, was one of the few people who didn’t have to address Yuta by his title.
“Douzo, Jaehyun-kun.”  The door slid open and in walked Yuta’s guest, wearing a pinstripe suit and letting his dark hair fall softly over his forehead.  Unlike most of Yuta’s acquaintances, Jaehyun had neither tattoos nor visible scars or disfigurements.  If it weren’t for his parentage, Yuta figured that Jaehyun would have been an innocent and upstanding member of society.  In fact, Yuta wondered why he didn’t stay as far away from his father’s line of work as humanly possible, for his own sake.  But, if Jaehyun did do that then Yuta would be losing the benefit of one of his keenest minds.  Besides, Yuta knew that Jaehyun was branded as suspicious in the outside world by default just by being a conspicuously wealthy zainichi boy, so he might as well lean into it.
“You look busy,” Jaehyun observed with a smile.
Yuta smiled back and pushed some papers to the far side of his desk, closer to Jaehyun.  “That’s because I’ve been working on something.  What are your thoughts on this?”
Jaehyun sat on the desk – something the average enlisted man would not be permitted to do – and scanned his eyes over what appeared to be paperwork from several banks in Thailand.
“Looks like he’s got offshore accounts,” said Jaehyun, obviously.
“Bingo!”
“Are they illegal?”
Yuta smiled and hummed to himself in satisfaction.  “Those banks are all under current investigation by Interpol for money laundering.  One case has been proven.  And Miyazaki might be a key player.”
“Congratulations, Shategashira ,” said Jaehyun, pushing himself off the desk, letting out a small laugh once standing.
“What’s so funny?” Yuta challenged.
“Nothing, really,” said Jaehyun. He knew he could get away with saying whatever he wanted.  “But Yuta-san, you launder money all the time.”
“I know that very well, Jaehyun,” explained Yuta, knowing the mild defiance from his friend was nothing serious.  “But it’s expected from people like us.”  Jaehyun scowled slightly, Yuta assumed, at his implication in whatever dirty business the Inagawa-kai did.  “For someone like Miyazaki it’s – it’s a career-ending – no, life ending event since he’ll probably have to go to jail for a year or so and never be hired again.  His reputation will be ruined.  This information could tank Mitsubishi’s stocks for a while too.  He’s supposed to be a reputable businessman, not a gangster.”
My dad always says that companies are just like gangs;” offered Jaehyun, “the salaryman is just a glorified foot-soldier with a less interesting life and their bosses probably have more blood on their hands than they realize.”
Yuta pulled out a cigarette from the pack in his pocket, placed it in his mouth, and then offered the pack to Jaehyun with the raise of an eyebrow.  Jaehyun took one and as he spoke, Yuta lit their cigarettes.
“That’s why I always listen to your father, Jaehyun, and why you should too,” said Yuta, pausing to take a drag.  “Gwang-suk is the most insightful bastard in this whole operation.”
Jaehyun’s face curled into a thoughtful smile.  “I’ll keep that in mind.  By the way, I know you have proof that these banks are crooked, and that Miyazaki has money in them, but what’s your direct evidence of his wrongdoing?”
“Ah,” Yuta remarked, letting a tumble of smoke fall from his lips.  “That is forthcoming, if you have time to wait a few minutes.”
“Sure.”
After another drag on his cigarette, Jaehyun seemed about to begin a new conversation, his expression contorting into one of active thought, but at that moment, a succinct series of knocks rang out on the other side of the door.  Yuta put his crossed legs up on his desk and leaned back in his leather chair.
“ Douzo.”
With that, Doyoung, who was wearing slacks, a sweater vest, and an upmarket wristwatch, opened the door with a thin stack of papers under his arm.  His eyes went wide when he saw the cloud of smoke rendering the room in soft focus.  Still, he steeled himself and managed a salute and a greeting of “Shategashira!”
“At ease.”
Doyoung seemed to sigh in relief and wasted no time fanning the space directly before his face and hurrying to the one small outward-facing window in the room to open it.
“My god, you two, this is absurd! How do you breathe?”  Even in disgust, Doyoung’s voice was measured.  To most, the thin, almost delicate, and usually soft-spoken man would have been difficult to pinpoint as a member of the yakuza – especially if he was covering his tattoos which he kept more minimal than most of his friends.  Nevertheless, his intelligence had always been an asset to the family and any doubt of his intensity would be assuaged the minute he lost his temper, or alternately, came at you coolly with a Sten Gun.  Around those close to him though, Doyoung’s vibe was still more nagging grandmother than anything.
“Doyoung,” began Yuta, “tell me you found something good.”
Doyoung made his way back to the desk on the other side of the room, holding his stack of papers up in one hand.  “Tell me you two won’t keel over from lung cancer before I show it to you.”  And with this jest, he let the papers drop to the desk with a smack .  Yuta took one more drag and extinguished his cigarette, partially to appease Doyoung and partially to free his hands.
“All I found was the record of recent wirings, invoices, and transfers for his accounts between Japan and Thailand,” explained Doyoung as Yuta began digging into the papers with Jaehyun sitting in observation.  “It appears that he’s been embezzling money from the company under the guise of a bunch of contractors and business expenses that don’t exist as far as I can tell.  He’s transferred a lot of it, via some of these banks in Thailand, to a specific woman.  You’ll see her information in the paperwork there.  Sometimes she uses different names, but I have reason to believe it’s all one person and that her name is Minatozaki Sana.”
“A mistress, perhaps,” speculated Jaehyun, and Yuta let out a hum of agreement.
Doyoung nodded.  “That would make sense.  I’ll keep on the trail from here and see what else I find; how conclusive the connections are, etc.”
“Good work, Hosa ,"  Yuta praised.  "You’re dismissed if you need to be anywhere.  Do you?”
Doyoung shrugged, planting himself in one of the molded wood chairs across from Yuta and Jaehyun followed suit.  “I’m going on patrol with Johnny in an hour but I’m meeting him here.  Might take a bit of a break.  By the way, where’s Taeyong?”
Yuta had to stop a smile from overtaking his expression at the mention of his partner.  “I don’t need his help and he’d been working so hard, so I gave him some time to himself.  He could be practicing shooting, taking a walk, going to the conbini around the corner, I have no way of knowing.”
Jaehyun spluttered, for what reason Yuta could only imagine.  He sat forward in his chair, trying to look serious.  “Oi, what is this?  The little prince finds something amusing, does he?”
Jaehyun held his outstretched palm in front of his face and shook his head.  Yuta was a very intimidating person by most standards and was famous for his wit, but even he had moments of insecurity that his friends could exploit for entertainment.  That is, until they got their asses beat for disrespecting a superior.
“No, I promise you, Yuta-san, it’s nothing really.  I’m sorry.  I was just surprised because in the last, what? Almost-week that he’s been with you, you two have been pretty inseparable.  And whenever he isn’t with you, you’re yelling ‘where’s Taeyong? Someone find him now!’”  Jaehyun started to laugh harder at his own impression.  Next to him, Doyoung adjusted his sleeve, watching, and in his calmly matter-of-fact manner stated, “we’re not idiots, Shategashira .  We can tell when you’re distracted, and we can usually guess why.  Jaehyun and I think you have it bad for Taeyong.  We even bet on it with Taeil.”
Yuta found himself in a bit of a shock.  Him?  Distracted?  Was he that obvious about it?
Yuta pawed weakly at a piece of ash and flicked it into his ashtray, but he couldn’t help himself from smirking just a tiny bit.
“Fuck off,” he practically whispered.
“You don’t deny it,” Doyoung observed, and now it was Jaehyun smirking, ready to watch a confession unfold.
The haze still left in the room seemed like protection from the outside world, and Yuta felt his chest filling with boldness.  He didn’t have anything to hide from his friends, anyway.  He only cursed the timing.  Now was not the time for lust nor – god forbid – for romance.
Yuta bit his thumb nail and sighed.  “That’s because you’re not wrong,” he admitted.
Jaehyun and Doyoung exchanged tittering smiles in response.
“Yeah, go ahead and celebrate your victory,” said Yuta, nearly rolling his eyes and allowing his friends to relax and high five each other.
It felt nice to get it off his chest officially, but Yuta also felt a heaviness in his gut as a result of the conversation.  What if this was nothing more than a brief infatuation and he was jumping the gun by talking about it?  What if Taeyong wasn’t interested?  How was he even supposed to go about acting on anything?  He was busy and needed to focus and he tried to avoid hooking up with coworkers.  Fuck it , he thought, he was already distracted .  Yuta finally raised his eyes to meet the gaze of his two friends across from him.  Despite their satisfied smiles he still felt the tight, dead-end sensation of a prisoner.
“You should tell him, Shategashira , if you don’t mind my advice,” said Doyoung.
“I should, hm?” Yuta puzzled. “And how do you propose I do that?”
***
Taeyong’s sleeping face was yet another distraction.  He and Yuta had been sitting in the front of Yuta’s black 1982 Corolla for a couple of hours and it was already approaching three A.M.  Yuta knew Taeyong hadn’t had a completely easy time adjusting to his new life and was hardly sleeping even when he had time to, so when Taeyong’s eyes took on a telltale droopiness an hour ago and their target had yet to come around, Yuta had allowed Taeyong the option to nod off.  It was good for Yuta too, as it gave him the opportunity to gather his thoughts about the sleeping angel next to him.  Maybe Ms. Minatozaki wasn’t coming home that night at all – or maybe she was already asleep and Yuta had gotten bad intel.  Maybe Yuta, who was growing tired himself, could allow himself a moment of weakness and drink in the image of the man beside him.  Still, if the lead was correct and Minatozaki was going to be home soon, he didn’t want to miss her just because he was smitten with a boy he barely knew.
Yuta allowed himself one more moment to take in Taeyong’s serene face, admiring the flicker in his dark lashes, the slope of his sharp jaw into his smooth neck – interrupted only by the press of his Adam’s apple against the skin.  Yuta’s gaze fell on the pitted scar that dug its way like a crater into the flesh next to Taeyong’s right eye.  Yuta had wondered where it came from but never wanted to pry.  Taeyong’s earring twinkled as it caught the reflection of a streetlight.
Yuta couldn’t stop thinking of his earlier conversation with Jaehyun and Doyoung.  He felt almost laid bare by it, and he didn’t know why.  His friends already knew Yuta liked men and he trusted them enough to know they would never challenge his authority.  But still, telling them this felt different somehow.  Perhaps it was because Taeyong was someone who they, too, were getting to know personally; so they could make an offhand comment by accident or worse, pass judgement in ways they never could on Yuta’s anonymous hookups.  Perhaps it was because Yuta felt like he was on the edge of losing control at a time when he needed as much control as possible.  Perhaps it was because he knew nothing good could come from giving into his desires.  Any impropriety could be used against him or Taeyong after all, and he needed to maintain his position in the Inagawa-kai and help Taeyong in the process.  Still, the more time he spent around Taeyong, the more Yuta was sure he wanted to do unspeakable things to him.  At least if Taeyong wasn’t interested, he could go from distracted to morose, and the latter state would be a marginal improvement for his ability to focus.
Yuta had asked how Jaehyun and Doyoung would suggest he approach Taeyong with his attraction.  Jaehyun councelled him to treat the situation as if it were a heteronormative one: as if Yuta were confident and straight and there were no stakes in the interaction.  Besides, said Jaehyun, if you think he’s interested then all those things might as well be true.  Doyoung, on the other hand, decided to play devil’s advocate and suggest that Yuta confront Taeyong with the information that he knows Taeyong is gay (which, again, he didn’t). Once he had Taeyong scared and talking, only then should he reveal his true intentions.  Obviously, neither tactic was a viable option, so Yuta found himself left to his own devices once more.
Yuta sensed motion in his peripheral vision and jolted to attention, watching as a young woman scurried down the sidewalk and up the stairs of the small house he and Taeyong were staking out.
“Oi! Taeyong!” Yuta yelled, hitting his partner in the arm and waking him, wondering to himself if the violence of the action wasn’t partially a means of relieving some pent-up sexual aggression.
Taeyong raised his eyebrows and looked around, bleary.  “Right there!  It’s her.”  Taeyong followed Yuta’s outstretched finger and noticed the woman just in time to see her finish turning her key in the lock and slip inside.
“Oh!” he exclaimed, realizing what was going on.  “Should we go knock on the door or something?”
As they spoke, a few orange lights illuminated the windows of the house.  Yuta shook his head. “No, it’s too late at night and she’d be suspicious.  She’s likely already in a sensitive situation being a millionaire’s mistress.  Besides, we’re only here to confirm her location for when we come back before the meeting.  We want to give her as little time as possible that should could use to inform the Yamaguchi-gumi if it goes wrong.”
“So, mission accomplished?”
Yuta grinned his signature grin; wide and almost unhinged under bright eyes.  “Mission accomplished.”
Taeyong nodded, seeming to suppress a shiver, and turned his head to the house which had returned to its dark quiet.  “I still don’t understand why we can’t just go around to some neighbors to confirm her identity.”
Yuta tutted, hoping maybe to provoke a clearer reaction from Taeyong.  “Too risky,” he explained.  “If we do that what will happen?  They’ll all tell her the next time they see her that the yakuza were asking about her.  We have her I.D. photo; it’s all under control.”
Taeyong nodded, a contemplative pout settling on his face and sending Yuta’s blood rushing.
“ Shategashira ,” he began, “why’d you take me on this recon mission with you if you were just gonna let me sleep?”
Yuta shrugged.  “It looks good for you if you can prove you accompanied me.  Good for your case so you can gain more freedom.” Yuta cleared his throat.  “Can I drive you home, Taeyong?”
Yuta thought he saw a hint of pink bloom on Taeyong’s cheeks, but it dissipated as quickly as it had appeared.  Taeyong nodded, eyes gluing to the floor mats.
“Thank you, Shategashira .  But if it’s too out of the way –”
“Nonsense,” interrupted Yuta.  “Just tell me where I’m going.”
The dark, tree-lined reprieve of Ms. Minatozaki’s neighborhood eventually opened up into the neon jungle which consisted most of the city.
“Take a right up ahead,” Taeyong directed.
Yuta took the turn and soon the car was rolling by a street famous for its adult businesses.  A love hotel here, a strip club there.  Taeyong made a sound in his throat.
“What is it?” asked Yuta.
“I was just figuring that the girl we were watching for and her Mitsubishi man probably meet up in places like this.”
Yuta wondered what Taeyong was getting at.  “You’re probably not wrong,” he said. “Though I’d imagine they do it in nicer parts of town.”
“It’s kind of despicable, no?” Taeyong asked, seemingly to himself, head leaning sleepily against the window.  “These guys get power and then suddenly they can do whatever they want.  Lie to their wives, launder money, you know?  Keep left.”  Taeyong paused as Yuta followed his direction silently, allowing him to finish his thought.
“I can’t really imagine you guys doing that, with your samurai code of honor and all that.”
Yuta chuckled.  This boy either had Stockholm Syndrome or was purposefully trying to get some kind of result out of his musings.  “Taeyong, you forget we’re career criminals.  Adultery is the tamest thing some yakuza get up to.”
Taeyong smirked, making Yuta surer the other man was playing him to some end.  His tired brain felt suddenly electrified.
“Whatever,” said Taeyong.  “Just promise you won’t cheat on Momo with some other woman.  I’d lose all respect for you.  I’m the tall apartment on the right up there, by the way.”
Yuta’s whole body went stiff.  This boy .  He decided to be honest with Taeyong – at least to the extent that he could still backtrack at any moment.
“That shouldn’t be difficult for me, Taeyong,” he said, pulling over to the curb.  “I don’t think about women all that much.  Haven’t been with many, either.”
Taeyong didn’t move to get out of the car.  Yuta waited in anticipation, feeling both relieved and like he’d dug himself into a hole.  He watched how Taeyong’s face roiled in thought, expressions materializing and evaporating as quickly as bubbles in a simmering pot.
Taeyong sighed, finally speaking.  “Well have you been with any men, then?  Do you think about men?”
Now it was Yuta’s turn to sigh.  What had he done?  This was so dangerous.  The hopeful look on Taeyong’s face egged him on, but what if it was all a trap?  What if Taeyong’s entire appearance in Yuta’s life was a setup to ensnare him?  He’d barely known him for two weeks.  Yuta could kill people but he couldn’t make a decision in this moment.  What did Doyoung say about confidence, again?  Fuck it.
“I – yes, Taeyong, as a matter of fact, yes.”  Yuta looked straight ahead over the steering wheel, feeling like his center of gravity was stuck somewhere in the seat below him and praying to anything at all for Taeyong to just get out of the car.  Instead, he felt the other man inch minutely closer.
“Do you…do you think about me?”
Shit .  Yuta was not equipped for this.  He was used to spaces where he could be clearer on the rules of engagement – where his work wasn’t so wrapped up in his sexual impulses.  He dared a glance at Taeyong, who’s eyes were blown out in anticipation.  Yes , Yuta thought.  God, he wanted to say yes, but he had some sorting to do in his own mind before he could.  He gripped the steering wheel and steeled his face and voice.
“I don’t think it would do either of us any good for me to answer that question,” he said lowly, and Taeyong drew back.  The look of shame on Taeyong’s face immediately made Yuta want to recant; he was digging himself into a bigger hole.
“I’m trying to protect you, Taeyong, and I think this is the best way to do that,” he tried to clarify.  “I hope you understand.  I appreciate you accompanying me today, but I need you to go inside now so I can go home.  Please.”
Taeyong nodded and turned to open the door with minimal movement, as if trying to take up less space.  Once outside the car he leaned over and said, voice distant with formal intonation, “Good night and good work today, Shategashira .  Thank you for helping me.  I understand, and your secret is safe with me.  Excuse me.”
Yuta watched Taeyong bow and hurry to the front door of his building, disappearing within.  Yuta couldn’t remember the last time he felt this shit, but he kept playing it over and he could envision no clean ending to the scenarios where he and Taeyong gave in to each other.  Yuta started to drive back the way he came, turning the radio on to avoid slipping into the murk of his mind and having an accident or something.  No , he assured himself, you did the right thing .  It would have to be this way between them; it was for the best.

🔴 yoonmiya started their live: it’s my birthday…
BTS • 2023.12.13. 20:30
Tumblr media
dialogue and comments in italics are in english
the weverse live starts with yoonmi setting it up and sitting back, letting her dog dipper rest his head on her lap, soft music playing in the background
she’s quietly watching the number of viewers for the first minute before she speaks
“hi everyone! hi, i thought i’d come on live for a bit to celebrate my birthday with you. i won’t be live for so long due to personal circumstances, if that’s okay with you”
she opens up her personal phone to look through the comments
some time is spent with her greeting in the different languages she saw in the comments
yoonmi! how are you feeling?
“not too bad, actually. i’m a little bit sad, but i’m okay. i’ll be okay”
are you celebrating somehow?
she smiled softly at this question
“i had breakfast with the tannie oppas two days ago. all of them. they brought out a cake for me and gave me gifts, and we sang happy birthday to all three december celebrants. you’ll never believe this, or maybe you will, but jiminie oppa bought me a kitten!”
she reaches down out of view of the camera and comes back up with a small scottish fold kitten in one hand, gently supported by her other hand
“guys, this is rajah, my new friend. dipper loves her, don’t you, boy?”
the big dog lifted his head, sniffing rajah until rajah booped his nose with her paw
dipper snorted and licked rajah once before putting his head back on yoonmi’s lap
yoonmi placed rajah on dippers head, keeping a hand there to secure her, and read through comments
rajah is so cute!!
dipper and rajah!!
are you going to be in the music bank global festival? Or aaa?
“i’m not, sorry guys. i’m taking a small unofficial break for a bit. i already filmed a few things for 2024, so look forward to that, especially if you’ll be missing a certain golden maknae”
a small bark came from the side, so she looked off camera and laughed before putting rajah back where she came from
“nala actually likes sleeping beside rajah. i think she just likes the fact that she isn’t the smallest fur baby anymore”
do you have anything else planned for your birthday?
“not really…”
she tilted her head in thought before scrolling through her phone
“all my friends and my siblings are pretty busy, but i don’t mind. i like that it isn’t so hectic for me right now”
she shifts slightly, adjusting dipper to reach for something on the table next to her
“i have this little cake, though! yoongi oppa had it delivered to me earlier today”
you looked so good during mma and mama! congratulations!
she flushes a little, laughing to shake off her embarrassment
“thank you, and i wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without you guys. i promise i’ll continue to extra work hard for you and the oppas until they come back and we’re together again”
have you been keeping in touch with hannah, seri, and ari?
“of course”
she laughed a little bit
“that group chat is the one that woke me up with all the buzzing. there were endless birthday greetings”
she smirks a little bit before leaning close to the camera like she was telling a secret
“i went to the last days of both the nct nation concert in seoul and the sweet mirage finale shows, and i’ll be there for the last fate tour seoul stop in february. are you guys jealous?”
i think it’s sweet how you were there for all the enlistments
were you with the boys when they shaved their heads?
“i was with every one of them, i promised them i wouldn’t miss any of it”
her hand reached up, tugging lightly on the ends of her hair
dipper looked up from her lap, nuzzling his snout into her hand, so she moved to pet him instead
you’re makeup is pretty!!!
did you come from a schedule?
“i did my makeup for fun today, no schedules”
she thought for a little bit, glancing to the side then back to the live
“i was in the company for a bit a while ago, but it was more of cleaning than working, making sure nothing’s dusty, you know?”
she laughed a little bit while scrolling through the comments
how about you play the happy birthday song?
she just shook her head
“no, i think i’m good”
mark better have sent something good to you
she actually laughed the hardest so far with this comment
“he was on facetime with me until i fell asleep last night… when i woke up, he was scolding hannah unnie for messaging me too much”
she picked up a dior paper bag from the table next to her
“he also sent me all this makeup! it’s like he has intuition because i’ve been running low on my lip glow oil, the face palette, and my blush. not to mention the flowers and the bracelet”
she places the paper bag down and leans forward to show off the silver bracelet around her wrist
you look tired are you okay?
“i’m fine, i promise”
she nodded and pressed her lips into a tight smile
“it’s just been an emotional few days, but don’t worry about me! i think i can cope for the next six or seven months”
she leaned back a bit, giving reassuring nods before a short silence took over until she was zoning out and staring at nothing
“yeah, i think i can do it”
she looked back to the live and smiled
“i think it’s time for me to go, now. next time i go live, i’ll spend longer with you guys, don’t worry!”
she leaned forward, lifting dipper’s face to be visible on screen
“this is good night from me and dipper! thanks for celebrating my birthday with me, army. love you lots, take care of yourselves, and thank you for charting spring day queen!”

I wanted to post about the whole mess of the cbx contract, if ure in a job most ppl have a contract... I renew mine every 2 years as I'm working as a teacher in a private school. They take care of my health care and also my pay and benefits so I'm ok with signing away 2 years each time.
So contracts are always binding and always more in favour of the employer coz they are investing in u (same reason ppl don't hire fat ppl or under qualified ppl, as they need to invest in their training and health care more)
So I get why exo had to sign multiple contracts, cbx had had their respected contracts from their OG group with sm (eco m and eco k) but then they promoted in Japan and China where they must have their own labels there too... So it's not weird for them to have multiple contracts in each country. Exo is under avex I think or it is universal in Japan do u think SM has any part in that contract other then being the management of eco/cbx there....
Same with other labels, sm is a indie label in other countries it needs another label to manage their trained and hit artists... This is how idols (especially sm ones have multiple contracts, this is also why Lucas is still under sm even if he isn't promoting with wayv coz hes under 2 other labels along with SM and they can't kick out him for being a sugar baby and justify it to the western label)
Tumblr media
Look at the amount of record labels responsible for tvxq boys. SM can't control Japan or Chinese markets, this is why even ww has a Chinese label
I also wanted to say that larger groups either end up messily breaking up like snsd all against one, or they end up like suju which is hanging on to most members.
The way it's just cbx, makes me think it's Chen who was the issue and baekhyun and minsook stood with him and not the rest. Also makes you realise that so much goes on at the back that we don't know. It also explains the delay of exo albums....
I seriously thought shinee might leave with LSM not there as they were the last sm group groomed by him, but it seems like shinee is settled in
Contracts usually end messily so be prepared for 127 drama and also dreamies and NCT drama NCT year
As the boys mostly will renew in December this year... Although with djj out jaedo aren't leaving and so isn't haechan and Taeyong
Johnny is establishing his DJ career so it seems like he'll stay in SM too
Please refrain from saying things like "sugar baby" like it's a fact and not your opinion based on partial information and falsified accusations.
I feel like you made the situation even more confusing instead of clearing it up, heh.
One thing I agree with you about: there is a lot of going on internally that doesn't reach the public. SM hires lawyers who can use tactics people directly working with EXO might not agree with, CBX might use bluff and mediaplay to strenghten their position in an argument (suppose it is about Chen staying) or talk about one thing (money) while pusruing another goal (release from some clauses in the contracts). It might be even a bigger game and artists fighting the new bosses for more power and retaining say in the company.
I'm for this lawsuit, Baekhyun has bargaining power, and SM (its financial higher ups who are detached from the artists as opposed to managers who directly work with them and know what the idols go through) should be kept in check. From what I've seen Baek is a very smart and shrewd guy, he is far from a victim.
Dream already are talking about Dream Show 3, they are tight as a group, so will continue at least until enlistment period, me thinks. 127, seemingly, came to agreement to stay together. Nowadays many groups continue to exist even if some members terminate their contracts with the parenting company. Yuta might do it, as his future career is in Japan now. However, even Yuta needs NCT label very much. He is invited to these movies and tv-series because he has a global fanbase and his name will make people watch the movie on Netflix. Japan is not China to lead an ex-k-pop idol to individual stardom through bl series and dance shows. SM invests in EDM scene a lot, which means it can provide all the stages Johnny wants, there is sense in staying for him as well. Taeil is a guy who doesn't like to act, I don't see him gambling with a small label for solo artists.
Personally, I think it's a bit prematurely to talk about disbandment of the units. Yes, they reached the 7 years milestone, however, noone is on the level of individual solo career to benefit from it more than from group activities. Groups disband either when memebrs can't stand each other, or individual gigs bring more money than the group.

6 Facts Tag
Thank you for tagging me, @kaex127 !
I’ll do three about K-pop things and three about other things:
K-pop Things
I really, really, really want to do an EXO Bachelorette with voting and drama and audience participation, but I don’t know how well the participation part would go, because I don’t get that many likes/reblogs anymore.  :/
Other than EXO, my favorite groups and biases in those groups are BLACKPINK (Lisa), Mamamoo (Hwasa), BTS (Jungkook), NCT (Mark).
I went to see an EXO concert in 2017 and I don’t want to see another one until Lay is back, but I highly doubt there’s much pressure for him to come back now that D.O and Xiumin are in the military, and others will have to enlist soon.  Or maybe it’s the opposite, and they need him now more than ever?  I don’t know... I just really want to see Lay in concert.  He’s my bias, y’know!
Other Things
My dream has always been to be a writer~  I’m working on a YA fantasy novel that I hope to get traditionally published in the next few years.
I’ve written fanfiction for only one other fandom in my life.  If you like anime, maybe you’ve heard of Tsubasa Chronicles by CLAMP.  It’s a really old series now, but it had a really complex plot and great characters.  Anyway, I wrote KuroFai fanfiction for a few years.
I just got back from teaching in South Korea for two years, and next year I’m moving to Spain for at least a few months!  I’m going to be an au pair and take Spanish classes so I can finally speak Spanish instead of just knowing a lot of grammar.
I tag @bangyongguktigger @thesammtimes @lunarimagines @ephemeral-writings @exowolf-reactions  anyone else who sees this and wants to do it!

we all have Superb taste if you ask me! I've had a soft spot for felix from the beginning and i don't think that's ever gonna change tbh
i remember when he used to not speak korean that well and the way he grew so quickly, i was so proud it gives me a heartache just thinking about it
I didn't have such big bias problems before!! it used to be fairly chill except for skz. always had like One fave idk when that changed lmao
Ah yes... SuperM i always forget that that group exists hfdjhfj still don't know what SM was thinking when they came up with that idea.
Mark is just totally overworked bc he's in almost every nct unit
I've had nctzen friends since their debut so i kind of couldn't stay away no matter how hard i try rip. By now i have way too much information on them and the fandom drama lmao
This year was truly the Start of military enlistments for my generation of kpop i think. the next few years gonna be Rough man
OK fave ace song might be a struggle again bc i used to listen mostly to Savage, Under Cover and Higher and i used to absolutely HATE Cactus. That song was so annoying to me, didn't like it at all and then suddenly a few weeks ago a flip in my brain switched and i suddenly started liking it lmao
so rn i'd probably have to say Cactus/Changer bc those are on repeat
For MV, the Under Cover mv already snatched all the wigs when it came out tbh, i just love that one
Yea Jun & Yonghoon have that same... Pretty Boy Leader Just Wants Compliments vibe but also Clowns
Since The Rose had the company issues shit rlly just went downhill. Makes me regret not buying more albums back in 2018 SO Hard. At this rate i'll never get my hands on one of their old releases rip
I love how fans sometimes get MAD when albums get reprinted bc they were hoping to scam ppl :'D
AhA hello star wars fan, it is I, a star trek fan hahadsf
I hadn't even THOUGHT abt the physical album packaging when he came out with the concept and stuff i was just hoping i'll like the songs but then suddenly all these versions drop and with them my Jaw. King shit.
Luckily i didn't collect like... Naruto. i didn't even try bc i knew i didn't have the money for that many volumes lmao but bc my memory is so bad i even got confused if i already owned vol 2 or not lmao it was a mess
i used to LOVE stray kids for having albums of the same format and then just as i stopped colelcting they changed it and i aas like HAH don't have to deal with that but the joke's on me now i do have to and it's a mess
But nothing is worse rn than onewe albums + Advice u can't just put them on the shelf normally it'S so annoying
I want leedos big binary card too so i can pout them next to each other!!
Did Vixx ever release the actual Perfumes too or was it just for the album? I mean ofc the smell just gets all up in there hdhhd i can imagine
Maybe puty taemin is your pulling curse who knows (of course very debatable if it's a curse or a blessing)
A nice relaxing drink sounds good! I mean moving is always stressful. At least it's over now!! love that for you :p
I think i'll watch that one webdrama ace is in to mentally prepare for Jun's upcoming drama. Already vibrating out of my skin in anticipation.
good night!!
~ santa
Howdy!
No wonder, he is really sweet and yeah, it was really endearing when he struggled with it. I remember seeing him in some YouTube video where they pranked him like the staff had been arrested and the language barrier just added to the chaos 😂
I know exactly what SM was thinking: American money. Totally failed though so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 😅 Ah, that does sound like a nightmare for Mark. God there's always so much fandom drama, with everyone really, part of the reason why you'll never see me calling myself a Tomoon or Shawol or anything. I'm just not wanting to get lumped in with the drama haha
To be fair I grew up with Star Trek as well, whichever series had Patrick Stewart (Next Generation maybe?) so I hold no Wars/Trek rival grudges.
Past you must be cackling that you have to deal with all the different formats now 😂 Are Onewe albums massive as well? Honestly see when I got Advice, Atlantis, and Don't Call Me all in the same parcel, I thought they'd sent double until I opened them and just went "SM what the hell!" lol
I'm not sure if they brought out the perfume that the album was scented with but they did have a line with one for each member, seems to be for the Lost Fantasia concerts.
I think I'd count pouty Taemin pulls as a blessing because God help me if he wasn't being adorable he might just kill me 😆
Oooh that's gonna be so good! Hope you enjoy the webdrama as well, I've heard good things about it 😄
