Good Morning Starshine
Tumblr media
Summary: Anthony and Kate cannot figure out who's playing I'm Still Standing at their Alexa and waking up their children at an ungodly hour in the morning.
In honour of the 12th of October being Brazilian Children's Day, have this silly little thing I did inspired by a video I sent @mimix007 on Instagram.
It's just Kathony family fluff.
Enjoy!

KATE BRIDGERTON (née Sharma) | mum of boys
"Milo! You have to be still!" Kate overhears her eldest son using the sternest voice his four-year-old self could muster. Mimicking that of his father, she could tell. Peering over she finds the boy holding a Polaroid camera in position, a familiar crease in his brow as he looks through the viewfinder and readies to take a photo. Unfortunately, his subject is a moving target in the form of his baby brother who continues to babble and scoot around without a care. Poor little frustrated penguin. With a happy sigh, Kate moves to intervene and help his cause.

Got a Prompt idea for you. I was on Instagram earlier today, and saw Charitha and Simone reunited at a Dior event, and Chari referred to Simone as her sister and I was like "Aww Didi & Bon together again". It got me wondering if Kanthony's daughters (Charlotte and Mary) refer to each other as Didi & Bon like their mother and their aunt. So that's the prompt idea is Kate explains to Charlotte why Edwina calls her "Didi" and Charlotte wonders if she'll ever be someone's "Didi"...and Anthony would be glad to make her one.
Link to A03 story
No-one could deny Charlotte was a perceptive little girl. She was the most chatty and inquisitive of her siblings and did have a tendency to ask a lot of questions even when her parents didn't know the answers.
("Sweet One, can I have my breakfast before you ask me why the sky is blue?" Her Papa had tiredly answered just that morning.
"But you know everything Papa. I overheard you telling Uncle Colin. So why is the sky blue?"
"Because…the Lord had already used the colour green for the fields. And I was lying - it's your Amma who really knows everything.")
So it wasn't really a surprise when her Auntie Edwina came to visit and Charlotte had questions for her Amma later that night.
"Amma, why does Auntie Edwina call you Didi?" Charlotte asked as her Amma came to visit her before her bedtime.
"Well, Jaanu, we were little girls in India and in India, Didi is Hindi for 'big sister'." Kate explained. "And Bon is Hindi for my little sister. So I'm Didi and she is Bon."
Charlotte nodded with understanding. The little girl had heard many Hindi words before - most little girls called their Mothers 'Mama' but Ned, Miles and herself called their Mother 'Amma'. Her Amma also called her and her brothers 'jaanu' which meant 'my life'. Her Papa could also speak a bit of Hindi after their Amma had taught him over the years.
"Can I be 'Didi' like you, Amma?" Charlotte asked eagerly.
"Well, not really Jaanu. Didi is only for big sisters. And you are the youngest. Ned and Miles can call you 'Bon' and you can call them 'Bhaiyaa'."
"But I can't be Didi?" Charlotte's lip began to wobble. It was nice she could be like her Auntie Edwina but she wanted to be like her Amma too!
"Don't look so sad, Jaanu. It's only a title. And you already have siblings."
"Yes, both boys! And older than me." Charlotte pouted.
"Don't pretend you don't like them - you cried for days when Ned went to Eton." Her Amma smiled.
"...He sometimes gives me sweets. I was allowed to be sad."
Amma cuddled Charlotte close. Her Amma always smelt like lilies - Charlotte knew her Papa liked it alot.
"You are Charlotte Bridgerton, beloved daughter of Anthony and Kate and little sister of Ned and Miles. You are perfect in every way."
I want to be a Didi. And if Amma has another baby… I'll be one. And ladies have to have husbands to have a baby. I need to talk to Papa.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Charlotte's Papa spoiled her - everyone said so. Apparently little girls born to great nobles were seen as a disappointment and their fathers didn't have much to do with them until it was time to marry them off - and sometimes it didn't matter if they liked their husbands or not.
Charlotte felt very sorry for little girls who had horrid Papas like that and also a little bemused. Apparently her Papa was completely delighted with her when she was born and showed her off whenever he could. And he spent a lot of time with her, teaching her to ride her pony and letting her stand on his feet when she wanted to dance and didn't know the steps. Her Papa was kind - if Charlotte asked him very nicely, he would listen to her. If he had liked Charlotte as soon as she was born, he would like another baby too.
Yet when Charlotte went to his big important study and asked him if he would please give her Amma another baby, he'd nearly choked on his drink that was only meant for grown-ups and coughed for several seconds.
"Char-Charlotte! What's…why do you-"
"I'm a Bon but not a Didi. Amma is a Didi and I want to be one too. And Amma said I can only be a Didi if I have a little sister."
"You could have another brother." Her Papa said quietly.
"If I wish really hard every night before bed, the baby will be a girl." Charlotte told him simply.
Her Papa looked utterly stunned but Charlotte was happy to see that, after their conversation, he started to act a bit oddly. When her Amma found some of the old clothes Charlotte had worn as a baby and mused that maybe they should send them to Auntie Fran who was going to have a baby quite soon, her Papa said quietly "Why get rid of them? We might need them again…you never know."
Charlotte wished very hard that her Papa was going to explain to her Amma that another baby was a very good idea. Apparently to make a baby you had to leave your parents alone in a room together and not disturb them for a very long time (Maybe a baby was made by having a very long chat?).
Then one day Ned, Miles and Charlotte were gathered together by their parents and their Amma told them that she was pregnant and would grow a baby in her tummy until it was time for it to come out. Charlotte jumped up and down with excitement while her brothers looked a bit stunned and Ned even wrinkled his nose in disgust. Apparently her Papa had 'had the talk' with Ned when he was thirteen after Ned had been caught staring at some of the girls at the village fayre with appreciation. (Charlotte wanted to know what this talk was about but apparently neither of her parents felt up to it just yet. It must be a funny talk because Miles couldn't stop laughing at the idea of Charlotte knowing.)
So Charlotte waited as her Amma's tummy got bigger with the baby inside and sometimes put her ear to her Amma's stomach when the baby started to wriggle around. Her Amma would stroke Charlotte's curls in a soothing way.
"You have to be a very good big sister, Jaanu, even if the baby is a boy and not a girl. This baby will need you and look up to you."
"I promise." Charlotte swore.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Charlotte was made to stay on the other side of the manor when her Amma came to have the baby. Apparently her Amma might be in a lot of pain and neither her or Papa wanted Charlotte to hear. It was actually a little bit scary because Charlotte's Amma was quite ill afterwards and needed to be kept an eye on by the grumpy doctor that her Papa didn't like.
But eventually, finally, Charlotte was led to her parents' bedroom with Ned and Miles and saw her Amma laying in a bed, looking very tired but happy. And her Papa was holding a little bundle in his arms.
Charlotte was cautious. Her Papa was sitting in a chair next to her Amma's bed so Charlotte could easily see the sleeping baby. Charlotte saw a little face nestled amongst blankets with a little tuft of dark hair on the baby's head already.
"You got what you wanted, my love." Her Papa told her gently. "It's a girl."
"What's her name?" Ned asked. But Charlotte got there first.
"Bon. She's my Bon and I'm her Didi."

Bridgerton headcanons
Edmund Bridgerton II looks a lot like Anthony and everyone expects him to be the rake out of the two boys but he is actually quite romantic and wears his heart on his sleeve and wants what his parents have. He reminds Violet a lot of her late husband. By the time he is 18/19, she knows he will be married by 25 at the latest. Because of his mature mindset, I can see him marrying a woman a few years older, not one of the newly debuted girls. Maybe a widow or someone on the cusp of spinsterhood.
Whereas Miles is a baby faced cutie who loves kids, literally his cousins' nursemaids have nothing to do when he is visiting and everyone thinks that he will get married first out of the two boys. Until he hits adulthood and becomes a rake, cynical of the whole romance and love thing.

Ahhhh Edmund and a governess!! Molly I NEED to know how they met! And how Edmund makes a fool of himself to get her attention
Okay, I've somehow gotten myself obsessed with Bruises Universe Baby Bridgertons and their love lives.
Imagine Edmund, 23 years old, broad shouldered and strong and all the girls in the village giggle and whisper when he passes and he chuckles when he winks at them and they all gasp, even when his Mama tuts at him You shouldn't give them false hope, Neddy
He knew he had no intention of marrying any of these women. He's known them since he was a boy and if he was going to feel anything for them he'd have felt it by now, surely. And while he'd never admit it, and he knows that his parents had only met twice before they married, he wants a marriage like theirs. He wants the deep abiding love they share for one another, it's mortally embarrassing that they're still in love with each other after all this time but... they know one another. The childhood he had was so filled with love, and gentleness and he wants just the same.
Lord, he wants what Miles had with the girl who had been painfully shy before their marriage. Miles now a doting husband and father to little Henry.
And then he meets her.
Walking through the village one day, nudging Miles just as they did when they were children, teasing him even as he rolled his eyes. Edmund hadn't been paying attention to where he was going and a young Lady had exited the bakery at the exact moment he was walking past and he knocked her into the dirt before he could catch her.
"I am so very sorry, Miss." Edmund held out his hand to the young woman who was looking down at her dress despondently.
She sighed, brushing her hands off on her dress "That's quite alright."
And then she looked up at him, right into his eyes and Edmund's stomach jolted. "Allow me to help you."
"I'm fine, thank you." The woman said primly, shaking her head as she hauled herself to her feet dusting off her dress.
Edmund snatched his cap off his head, fixing his hair quickly in the shop window while she wasn't looking, ignoring his brother's muttered Lord.
"You really must forgive me miss-?"
"You're forgiven." The woman said quickly, "No harm done."
She was already walking away as Edmund's mouth fell open in surprise at the rebuff.
"Might I be allowed to introduce myself, Miss?"
"I don't think that will be necessary. I've met a hundred men just like you."
"You've known me half a minute!" He said a little indignantly.
"I've known men like you all my life. Forgive me if I pass on knowing another. Good Day, Sir."
Edmund stared at the door to the post office that had just been closed in his face, his mind racing.
"Well mercy me." Miles' voice was far too smug behind him. "I think perhaps I feel an icy breeze coming up from under the earth."
"Shut it." Edmund said quickly.
"Could it be that Edmund Bridgerton has finally met a woman who doesn't find him charming?"
"Hush."
"I don't think I will. I can't wait to tell Emily."
"I'm your older brother, you should listen to me!"
"When have I ever?"

Bridgerton Halloween
Five-year-old Charlotte wants to dress up as Elsa from Frozen. But she's sad because her brothers are not willing to dress up as Anna and all her cousins are all far away in their own homes.
Kate tries to console little Charlotte, "But Elsa travels to the mountains all alone and she builds an ice castle all by herself, isn't that cool? You could still go as Elsa, darling."
Charlotte shakes her head, "And Anna comes searching for Elsa because she misses her. And they hug. Elsa has Anna. I don't have anyone!" Her crying intensifies.
Kate feels sad to see her crying, yet she can't help but feel frustrated at her daughter's stubborn streak, something that she definitely inherited from her Papa because Kate is sure that she was never this stubborn.
Anthony sees his precious daughter holding her blue dress, sitting on the floor, at tears falling from her eyes and he feels his heart bursting. Kate is sitting next to her, stroking her hair, looking helpless.
Anthony walks up to them and sits beside Charlotte.
"What's wrong, sweetheart?" He asks her gently.
Charlotte hiccups, "Nothing!" Pouting harder.
"You're crying because of nothing?"
Charlotte shakes her head, "I am not crying."
Anthony bites back a smile, "So why are your eyes wet?"
Charlotte starts crying harder.
Anthony pulls his daughter into his lap and holds her.
"It's okay, sweetie. Tell me what it is and I promise, I'll help you."
Anthony can feel Charlotte shaking her head into his shoulder, her crying subdues.
"You won't."
He strokes her back, "You're right. I won't be able to help if you won't even tell me the problem. Won't you tell your poor Papa what's troubling you?"
Charlotte stays silent and Anthony waits for her.
After a few seconds, she replies, her voice small, "I wanted to dress up as Elsa for Halloween."
"Wanted? You don't want to anymore?"
Charlotte shakes her head.
"Do you want to dress up as someone else then? We could go get new costumes."
She shakes her head again.
"Do you not want to dress up at all?"
She shakes her head.
Anthony looks up at Kate for help.
"She wants to dress up as Elsa but there's no one to dress up as Anna! I told her it's okay if she goes as Elsa without Anna but she does not want that." Kate shrugs at him.
Anthony holds Charlotte by her shoulder and looks into her teary, brown eyes, "Why do you need Anna to go with you, darling? Isn't it awesome for Elsa to go by herself?"
Charlotte looks down and softly whispers, "Ed and Miles are going together. And I don't have anyone with me."
Anthony feels his heart melt. He smiles softy at Kate in understanding.
Kate feels her eyes tear up, hearing her little daughter's confession. Maybe she's not so much different to herself, she muses.
Kate bites her lips and stares at her husband and daughter as Anthony replies,
"Aww, sweetheart. That's not true. You have Papa. I can dress up as Anna. We can show the boys how it's done."
Charlotte looks up at Anthony, her eyes wide, looking hopeful, "You'll really dress up as Anna, Papa?"
Anthony nods his head vigorously, "For my favorite daughter? Definitely!"
Charlotte smiles widely and throws her tiny arms around Anthony, hugging him.
"You're the best, Papa. You're the best Papa. Thank you!" Charlotte shouts.
Anthony hugs back, smiling widely.
"Sweetheart? Maybe you should ask Amma if she could find Elsa costume for me?" Anthony whispers into Charlotte's ear.
Charlotte looks at Kate, her eyes hopeful, "Please Amma, can you find Anna's dress for Papa? Please?"
Kate smiles at Charlotte, "Yes, ma'am! We'll find the best dress for your Papa to dress up as Anna."
Charlotte cheers, "Thank you, Amma! Thank you!" She climbs down from Anthony’s lap and climbs into Kate's.
Kate hugs her tight and gives her a kiss on her head.
.
And that's how Anthony Bridgerton, aged 38 dressed up as Anna from Frozen and went Trick or Treating with his daughter, Charlotte dressed up as Queen Elsa for Halloween 👸
Kate Bridgerton, not wanting to waste an opportunity to embarrass her stupid boys (and teach a lesson), dressed up as Olaf. Charlotte was overjoyed to see her Amma’s surprise costume ☃️
Edmund and Miles Bridgerton were seen running, wearing plain masks. Whether it was a part of costume or out of embarrassment of their parent's antics, nobody knows 👻 🎃

Curtain Story: The super serious, dark, dramatic and heroic rivalry of Miles Bridgerton and Charles Bridgerton
by orangepeelshortbreadcookies
Chapter 1 - 4.2 / 3.7
At four years and two months old, Miles Sharma-Bridgerton rules the world. Everybody will always give him anything he wants.
Until he comes face to face with his new cousin, Charles 'Seong-Ho' Bridgerton.
OR
Miles is perfectly fine with being the baby of the family and the centre of the universe then Charlie comes swinging in like a rocket and ruins all of that by being younger than him.
OR
I need to write some wholesome baby fluff for a change
Author’s note: The even more ridiculous alternative title, courtesy of my partner and the lovely @dollypopup - Curtain Story: the (super serious dark dramatic) rivalry of one Miles Bridgerton and Charles Bridgerton by fall out boy ft. Panic! At The Disco covered by Paramore with a rap bridge from Batman
Special thanks to @hptriviachamp for helping me write Kate and Miles.
At four years and two months old, Miles Sharma-Bridgerton rules the world.
Well, Miles rules at least one world. From Kent to London, from Mumbai to Chennai, everybody loves him. His grandmothers. All of his aunts and uncles. His Amma and Dad most of all. The adults always swoon and gush over how cute he is when Miles looks up at them from under his soft curls and his long eyelashes, as he flashes them a view of the dimples on his round cheeks. Everybody will always give Miles anything he wants.
Miles isn’t worried about his brother, Edmund, or his cousins, Auggie, Belinda and Caroline. He is the youngest of the bunch, so they have to share their toys with him. Miles will tell if they don’t. Plus, Edmund never lets anybody bully him. Secretly, Miles thinks of his brother as his sidekick. The fact that he will soon gain a younger sibling, as his Amma is currently pregnant, is still too abstract of a concept for the boy to comprehend. As far as he is concerned, this is Miles’s world forever.
Miles has yet to have any reason to think otherwise on a day such as today. Turns out his Dad has another brother, Uncle Benedict, not just Uncle Colin and Uncle Gregory. He is returning home with his wife, Auntie Sophie, from their long business trip in Europe. Amma is taking him and Edmund out to meet them for lunch, along with Auntie Daphne, her kids, and Auntie Eloise.
Before they depart for the restaurant, Miles conducts his investigation.
“What does Uncle Benedict do?” Dad says one can judge a character by what they do for a living, and Grandma Violet says it is very rude to directly ask that kind of question. So Miles snuggles against Amma and whispers the question in her ear. She giggles as his breath tickles her.
Also, Miles just wants to be close to Amma and smell her. His aunts and Grandmas smell nice too, but his Amma has the best smell.
“He is an artist, angel.” She answers. “He paints things. He takes photographs of them too.”
He considers her  answer thoughtfully.
“He paints things? Like trees? Like animals? Like horses? What about kittens? What about our dog Newton? And houses?” To each “Yes” from his Amma regarding his inquiries, he is more sure of his resolve. This is good information. Uncle Benedict can stay. It can be useful for Miles and Edmund, having an uncle that powerful.
The fact that Benedict is also his cousins’ uncle, Miles does not agree with.
“What does Auntie Sophie do?” He whispers into Amma’s ear again.
“Auntie Sophie is an astronomer.” says Amma.
“What is astromomomer?” He asks.
She smiles, repeating the words more slowly. “An as-tro-no-mer, darling. She studies astronomy. The sun, the stars, the moon, space. Everything outside of Earth.”
Miles’s eyes brighten at this explanation. He recognizes the term now.
“Space? So she is astronaut? Like spaceship?”
“No, she is an astronomer, dear. Not an astronaut. They work together.” Kate’s attempt to clarify the distinction unfortunately goes completely over Miles’s head. Now, the boy can only think of which possible ways he can charm this Auntie Sophie, so she loves him enough to give him a seat on her spaceship.
His plan starts with this lunch. As Edmund leaves the table to play with Auggie, Belinda and Caroline, Miles stays behind. Like a smart boy that he is, Miles decides that his chance of getting on a spaceship will be higher if he helps his Amma and aunts chat up this pretty, fairy-like lady who they say is Auntie Sophie. It is his world after all, he should be responsible for it. So he stays in his chair, little feet dangling off the ground, busying himself with his snacks. Occasionally, when he feels generous, he turns to his Amma and pushes a piece of tart against her mouth until she eats it. It is very wise of him, indeed, that he remembers that Amma needs to feed the baby as well.
His plan is working perfectly. His Amma is doing her part, talking about how excited he is to meet a real-life astronomer, while Miles flutters his lashes and grins at Sophie with both of his dimples. Both of them! This is a huge, never-before-seen concession on Miles’s part. Normally he will never be this friendly to strangers. But he really wants that spaceship.
Auntie Sophie is moved, he can tell. She looks at him like every woman in his life looks at him, full of melting love and adoration. She coos and nudges his cheeks. She helps dab napkin at the spot when Miles has jam on his chin. He allows and accepts the gesture with sovereign regality, preening under all the attention of the women at the table.
As Miles is just about to gather enough courage and ask Auntie Sophie about her spaceship, someone else arrives.
“I hope we are not too late. Somebody found a flower shop.” Miles hears an adult male say.
Everyone’s attention turns toward the voice. Coming into view is a man who looks like his Dad but not really. All of his aunts cry out “Benedict!” as he approaches them. Amma leans over him, introducing helpfully and encouragingly.
“Look, honey. It’s your Uncle Benedict.”
Uncle Benedict is carrying two things in his arms. One of them is a giant bouquet, with so many flowers Miles cannot count all of them. The other is a child. A boy.
Uncle Benedict introduces him.
“This is Charlie. Say hello, Charlie!” The kid is smaller than Miles. Rounder than Miles. Pinker than Miles. He gives them an excited wave and a grin so wide, his eyes close up. Then he makes a gesture of blowing everyone at the table a kiss, and Miles hears his Amma, his old Aunties and his new Auntie collectively sigh.
“Eomma!” Charlie calls out, flailing his arms as if he wants to fly away from his Dad’s embrace to his mother. When he smiles, one corner of his mouth is higher than the other, just like his Dad. Benedict releases him on the ground so he can walk to her by himself.
Halfway through, Charlie turns around, suddenly realises he has forgotten something. Benedict grins and gives him the flowers.
The boy begins his journey anew. The bouquet is so big and heavy, he cannot hold them up in his hands. Instead, he has to drag them on the ground behind him, and he does this with great determination, shaking away every offer of assistance from his dad, only accepting it when Benedict helps him bring the flowers up to Sophie’s face as they finally reach her.
“Eomma.” Charlie says in a melodic, innocent voice. “Eommeoni. Je t'apporte des fleurs !"
Miles hears a gasp from somebody.
“My goodness!” says Auntie Daphne. “He speaks French?”
“And Korean.” Auntie Sophie shyly reminds everyone, as if that fact is important to her. “But yes,” she confirms, holding both the flowers and her son on her lap. Pride fills her eyes. “He watched a lot of French programs when we were at the CNES.”
“Hey, I helped too.” Uncle Benedict chimes in. “Someone cannot fall asleep without his P’tit Loup.”
“P’tit Loup!” Charlie exclaims happily.
“Thank you for the flowers, baby.” Sophie kisses Charlie’s head. “They are lovely.”
“He picked them out himself. I helped.” Benedict says, as his head nuzzles against Sophie, signifying that he himself wants a kiss too. She rolls her eyes, but gives it to him.
“Baby. Seong-Ho-ah,” she tells Charlie. “These are your Aunties. Kate, Daphne, Eloise. This is your cousin Miles. Would you say hello?”
“‘Allo!” Charlie says, before blushing so furiously he has to dive his face back into his Mum’s chest. Someone, perhaps Auntie Daphne, maybe Miles’s Amma (His Amma!) giggles.
“Honey, look at me.” Sophie tries to maintain eye-contact with Charlie. “These flowers are very beautiful, but you only gave them to me. Can you see that your Aunts and your cousin don’t have any flowers?” Charlie takes a look around, then nods. His head is so big, it is like he nods with his entire body. Sophie continues. “I want to share these flowers with them. Would you agree?” Charlie thinks, then nods again. Sophie’s smile widens. “Would you help me do it?” Another nod starts off hesitantly, then turns excited.
Charlie slips off of Auntie Sophie’s lap, his parents help him pull the blooms he wants out of the big bouquet. Only two or three stems are much easier for the child to handle, and he toddles on his chubby legs over to Auntie Daphne and Auntie Eloise to give them their gift. He also says something to them that makes them blush. Even Auntie Eloise looks impressed, and she is never impressed with anything.
What is so special about him? He can barely walk. Miles thinks, scoffing petulantly.
At last, Charlie approaches Kate, raising to her, with both arms, two pink tulips. One of the stems bends a little under his clumsy grip.
“Tata! Tu es manifique!”
Kate sniffles, her hands tremble as she receives the flowers and Miles is aghast,  aghast , at her betrayal. How can his Amma do this to him? It is not like she has never received flowers before. Dad gives her flowers  everyday . And those tulips are not even nice. They’re all mushy.
Then Amma does something worse.
Leaning down to Charlie, she asks him.
“May I hold you, baby?”
Miles is, quite justly so he thinks, shocked to his core at this blatant insult.
Charlie considers the question. He looks to his Mum, his Dad, and back up at Miles’s Amma. Then he reaches his arms out for her, granting permission. But that is not before he gives Miles a smile, the likes of which Miles can only describe as pure evil. The older boy narrows his eyes at that.
Kate picks Charlie up into her arms.
At four years and two months old, Miles Sharma-Bridgerton comes face to face with his cousin, Charles Seong-Ho Bridgerton. His nemesis.
Miles gets off his chair at the utter indignity of the scene. Overwrought with emotions, he throws himself on the ground and wails.

What is your favourite Crane Twins Head Cannon?
That they feud with the Kanthony kids at anytime they get. Oliver and Amanda intrinsically caught on to the fact that Eloise has some sort of psychological fight for supremacy with Anthony and that SHE WILL NEVER BE BEATEN. So they are automatically ready to challenge Ned and Miles whenever they see each other. (Charlotte and Mary are still infants)
Ned and Miles are so competitive and it's annoying that their Saphne and Benophie cousins don't fight to death the way they do. But with Oliver and Amanda anything goes and it's like finally meeting someone their own size.
I think that the only one who's ever gotten caught in the Ned, Miles, Oliver and Amanda feud, has been dear Gregory. Who made the mistake of trying to stand in their way during a very violent game of Catch the Highwayman. And ended up tied to a chair with an apple on his mouth to keep him from shouting for help.
it doesn't help that Eloise and Anthony do join them in their games every once in a while. So it looks perfectly legal to try to drop a stink bomb on their siblings when it looks like you're losing.
But that's Bridgerton sibling bonding for you. Oliver and Amanda still consider Ned and Miles their favorite cousins. And vice versa. On account that they never seen each-other back down from a fight.
And that's the tea

Hello dear Shinnie,
I love the Violet & Edgar and David & Sophia AU and I have burning questions:
How did things develop between Alex and Eliza?
How did Benedict react to his son’s dalliance with Tessa?
How did Charles find the love of his life?
Miles & Charles seems to be a chaotic duo who can run around breaking hearts. Can you please give us some crumbles 🥹🥹🥹
With love and anticipation,
Alexandra
Things develop between Alex and Eliza during the summer of 1843 after Benedict leaves My Cottage to stay at the Cranes for several weeks. Though Alex had been attracted to her for some time he had never planned to act on his feelings for the housemaid with his family under the same roof - however with nobody else around and with a house all to themselves, they naturally draw even closer and form a deeper bond before they both finally give in to temptation.
For the time being that dalliance isn't something that Benedict will come to learn about (though that's not to say I won't change my mind later on down the line). It's a secret Sophie is very comfortable in keeping to herself (as she tries her best to repress the knowledge as best she can in her own mind), meanwhile if Alex ever were to discover Tessa's past with his own father it would't be a subject matter he'd be willing to sit down and have conversation with Benedict about by any means.
I don't want to say too much about Charles's love story but following Violet's love match he decides that since his little sister has set the precedent of marrying, he too should settle down and set an example as the eldest of his siblings. And so the year following Violet's marriage, Charles is determined to be wed by the end of the social season regardless if he and his chosen bride are a true love match or not.
Miles is a heartbreaker though there's one heart in particular he's guilty of breaking to a greater extent than the ones of fanciful debutantes who girlishly admire him in the Ton. There was a girl he had always held a candle for, who he had shared in a sweetheart romance with during their early adolescence, and who he had mistakenly thought would wait for him until he was one day ready to ask for her hand; but his careless complacency turned out to be the cause of his own heartbreak as she ended up marrying someone else, and thus leaving him to wallow in his own regret.

Miles Benedict Bridgerton
Nicknames: Milo, Magic Miles
Profession: pianist with the philharmonic orchestra and composer
Hobbies: boxing, collecting vinyls.
Miles spent a long time feeling like he didn’t fit in when he was at school.
Since the age of 3 he’s worn glasses and was incapable of seeing without them on and did his best to avoid the mean bullies at school.
He blended in and found an escape in music. Despite his parents horrific talents at any musical instrument at the age of 5, he was incredible on the piano.
It was his gift. He was 7 when he started to learn guitar and his aunt Fran and Uncle Mike helped him learn to write music.
He was dyslexic but music was his way of communicating. He could read and write music before he could read and write anything else.
When he was struggling the most in school his Uncle Simon asked him when he found it easier to focus, and he explained about how boxing helped him with his struggles and Miles tried it and loved it.
It gave him something to hide behind, he had known from an early age that he didn’t fancy girls and he’d seen some of the awful things the boys at school said about those who were different and so he hid behind his boxing.
He was the one who suggested it to Vivi and she and Alex helped him accept who he was as a person. Vivi realising that he was a lot like Alex in terms of hiding himself behind his creativity.
Vivi and Alex were the first people he came out to. He cried when he told his parents as they hugged him tightly and told him they loved him no matter what…
He was mortified at them the following year when they took him to his first pride festival aged 16.
Miles didn’t go to Uni he was accepted and offered a full scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music and it was here that he truly learned who he was as a person, amongst people like him and who accepted him for everything he was.

Well, well, well. 2024 is here, and so am I (as if I had left at any point, but still!). We're off to out first fic of the year and it's... family fluff! Yay (I can't control myself, I swear)
Motherhood
"She didn't even know the type of love she felt for her children even existed before she felt Edmund twist inside her for the first time and by the time she held her tiny squirming son in her arms, she knew there was nothing in the world that could match the love she felt right at that moment. That said, there were times she didn't particularly like her children."
______________________________________________________________ Kate loves being a mother, she really, really does. She's just tired and needs a little break. Is that too much to ask?
Just some stressed-out, tired, Stay-at-home mum Kate with her little gremlins. Cute and Fluffy, I swear!
A million thanks to @harnitbee, who is my friend, my beta, my ear to bother when I'm inspired and one of the most amazing people I know. You're a queen <3
Don't forget to let me know what you think!
Love,
Cee

What is your take on Kate and Anthony relationship with each of their children when they are adults?
Which children has to closest bond with Kate? Which one with Anthony?
Anthony and Kate adore and worship their children. Some people are born to be parents and they are two of them. They love each other all the more for giving the other children.
Ned is the heir of the Bridgerton dynasty so has to spend time with Anthony so he can learn from a young age. But his bond with Anthony is extremely strong. He looks up to his father as an idol at times but Anthony actually tries to temper that by telling Ned stories of his past mistakes. He wants Ned to see him as guidance and a father but also a man. A human man. Not a saint who can do no wrong like his father was portrayed. Anthony knows the damage that can unwittingly do and wants to save Ned from that mentality. Ned also sees himself as his Amma's protector and gets incredibly upset if he thinks his mother is in any way insulted. Kate calls Ned 'her little gentleman' though wants Ned to remember he's a boy as well as an heir.
Miles knows that society views him as merely the spare and enjoys the freedom. Anthony brings Miles along to Ned's lessons to teach both his children and doesn't see why he has to be taught too. Anthony admits that he wants to spend equal time with his boys - they are equally important to him. Miles is admittedly closer to his mother as he can make her laugh loudly. Yet to see his father chuckle at his jokes gives Miles the biggest thrill of all.
Charlotte is the one in charge - a true mini Kate, according to Anthony. Anthony would probably spoil her more if Kate allowed it and if Charlotte wasn't so independent. Charlotte can talk the head off a penny and is the loudest of the four children. But she has a sensitive side - when Anthony is disappointed in her for being naughty, she can cry with remorse all night. She is close to both parents though can sometimes clash with her mother (as they are so alike) and Anthony calls her "his little Starling" - she will leave her parents to explore but always come home to them at the end of the day.
Baby Mary is a surprise but a wonderful one. And Kate can't stop Anthony doting on her. As a result, Mary is Anthony's precious jewel and is often her father's nurse later in life (if he would just allow her to care for him!) She tends to go to Kate for advice as a result as her Amma is always balanced despite her love.
They love every one of their children equally and would take a knife to the heart before picking one over the other. But closeness? Miles always makes Kate smile with his carefree attitude while Mary has Anthony wrapped around her little finger.

Kanthlet's first words
Ned: In the build up to Ned's first word, Anthony and Kate have playful arguments with Anthony saying it is going to be Appa, while secretly wanting it to be Amma, while Kate says it will be Amma while wanting it to be Appa. It is actually neither. His first word is 'dog'. Anthony is adamant that Newton's face remained a picture of canine smugness for a week afterwards.
Miles: Ned takes being a big brother very seriously and the pair of them absolutely adore each other. As soon as Miles can crawl, he wants to follow his brother. Therefore, when his first word is Ned, the whole family thinks that it is fitting. His second word is spoken a few weeks later. 'Wait'. "Ned, wait!" is often heard echoing through the halls of Aubrey Hall as Miles trys to keep up with his brother. And Ned always does wait for him.
Charlotte: Charlotte's first is 'Oi!'. Something that she regularly shouts when she wants someone's attention (mainly with Kate. With Anthony, she normally crawls over to him and tugs his sleeve or his trousers leg and then holds her arms up cutely. Only if her beloved Appa continues to ignore or or takes too long to respond in Charlotte's opinion does shout Oi at him). Kate insists that 'Oi' is not a proper word, so her first official word is 'No'.
Mary: Kate and Anthony knew when she was very young that she would be an avid reader. When she was a baby, being read to was her favourite thing, and she had two doting parents and 3 adoring siblings to indulge her. Even when everyone is too busy to read to her, she can keep herself entertained for hours flipping through her picture books by herself. Therefore, no one is surprised when her first word is 'book'.
