I hate it when I reread my WIPs and they are indeed in progress

Ah my poly West Wing fic I started in a mad haze this summer where Sam/Mallory/Josh/Donna/Joey/Amy/Laurie live in a house together in New Hampshire and are in love. Then Sam meets Ainsley and is head over heels but mentions that he's married after hooking up with her and does not get time to explain that Mallory is chill with it and off to visit her pro hockey player boyfriend at the moment because Ainsley kicks him out.

All of this is supposed to lead to Ainsley eventually moving in with them and dating Sam and also falling in love with Donna

Such a great installment from a series I really enjoy. In any case, I think looking back on "failed" relationships and recognizing the good in them is quite important. When I look back on my relationships that didn't work, I try really hard to remember the good times: the laughter, the intimacy, the shared secrets . . .obviously with some I have to try harder than with others, but there's always something there. And I've learned something about myself from everyone I've ever been with, and when all is said and done, that's a very good thing.
