Tom and Jerry peeking at their ripoffs, who are pretending to be Native Americans and making it rain. Jinks, you take that headband off, you’re making a mockery of native culture
Quick Draw McGraw lassoing a Buffalo. Captain Caveman, wtf are you doing???
Doggie Daddy telling stories by the campfire to Augie, Ricochet Rabbit, Crazy Legs, and some random animals. I also love how Blast-Off Buzzard is up there, perched on a cactus, looking salty.
Dino being Dino.
An animal jamboree (wtf? Atom Ant x Granny Sweet confirmed? That raises disturbing questions)
Fred Flintstone serving soup. Top Cat looks so short here for no reason. Oh and Huck playing the triangle, love that for him
Just picture Mr. Jinks in a catnip-induced daze resting in his basket, plotting confused payback on "them meeces" for their planting genetically-modified catnip in the garden so Pixie and Dixie could keep playing undisturbed.
Original Release: October 2, 1958 – October 13, 1961
Synopsis:
The cartoon series stars two mice, the bow-tied Pixie and the vested Dixie, and Mr. Jinks the cat who is always outfoxed by the mice. The show's plot itself and its characters followed the same basic concept as Tom and Jerry.
My Rating: 6/10
My Reasoning:
I think the majority of the beginning of my list is Hanna Barbera cartoons; so bear with me. Anyway, this is another one that I quite enjoyed. I love Tom and Jerry; this show is in that same format but with more dialogue. So imagine if Tom and Jerry could talk and you pretty much have this show.
Is it as good as Tom and Jerry? I'd have to say no. I do quite enjoy it regardless though. I remember watching this as a kid and really liking it. Although, I might be biased since I did like pretty much anything created by Hanna Barbera. This is one of the more underrated ones. It's certainly not one that everyone remembers. I still personally think it deserves a chance at being watched; especially if you enjoy the cat-and-mouse hijinks.
Huckleberry Hound - Here Comes Huckleberry Hound (Colpix, 1961) - Designed by the Hanna-Barbera Studio
In a Hanna-Barbera mood, so why not?
This record contains radio drama-like recreations of four Hanna-Barbera shorts originally produced for The Huckleberry Hound Show, narrated by Daws Butler as his Huckleberry Hound character (Huckleberry himself gets two tracks). Interestingly, this record was released just as Yogi Bear was getting his own show (he was just a segment of The Huckleberry Hound Show before he became popular enough to have H-B spin him off).
