“El poder político es simplemente el poder organizado de una clase para oprimir a otra”

Karl Marx

Fue un filósofo, economista, sociólogo, historiador, periodista, intelectual y político comunista alemán de origen judío nacido en Tréveris en mayo de 1818. Su vasta e influyente obra abarca diferentes campos del pensamiento en la filosofía, la historia, la ciencia política, la sociología y la economía.

Su abuelo paterno fue el rabino de su ciudad natal Tréveris desde 1723 y su abuelo materno era un rabino neerlandés.

El padre de Karl pertenecía a una clase media próspera, poseedor de algunos viñedos en la región de Mosela. Se convirtió del judaísmo al protestantismo luterano para evitar las restricciones antisemitas. Era un hombre inclinado a la ilustración interesado en las ideas de los filósofos Immanuel Kant y Voltaire.

Poco se sabe de la infancia de Karl Marx, era el tercero de nueve hermanos y tenía un enorme apego a su padre de quien nunca se cansaba de hablar de él y del cual llevaba siempre una fotografía suya.

En 1835 a la edad de 17 años fue a la Universidad de Bonn en donde deseaba estudiar filosofía y literatura pero su padre insistió en el derecho como un campo de estudio más fértil. Fue capaz de evitar el servicio militar debido a un problema de salud, siendo aficionado a a las bebidas alcohólicas en Bonn en donde se unió al Club de la Taverna de Tréveris.

Dado que Marx no tenía interés en estudiar derecho, y debido a sus bajas notas, su padre lo obligó a moverse a la la Universidad de Berlin una academia mucho mas seria y mejor orientada y en donde a pesar de ello, sus estudios de derecho se hicieron menos importantes que las incursiones en la filosofía y la historia. Se relacionó con el círculo de los filósofos pertenecientes a la llamada izquierda hegeliana manteniendo especial contacto con Bruno Bauer y Moses Hess.

A la edad de 18 años se comprometió con una baronesa aristocrática de la clase dirigente prusiana con quien contrajo matrimonio 7 años mas tarde y dedicaría a su suegro su tesis doctoral titulada “Diferencia de la filosofía de la naturaleza de Demócrito y Epicuro”.

Marx se dedica a la vida docente y debido a las dificultades que las autoridades pusieron al desarrollo de los hegelianos de izquierda, de la vida académica se volcó al periodismo trasladándose a la ciudad de Colonia en 1842 escribiendo artículos para el periódico radical Gaceta Renana, expresando sus opiniones cada día mas socialistas sobre la política.

Ante la situación política imperante en Alemania, Marx decide marcharse a París en donde conoce a quien fuera su gran amigo Federico Engels.

En 1843 publicó la obra “Sobre la cuestión judía” y “Crítica de la filosofía del derecho de Hegel” en donde se ocupó de la religión, describiéndola como “el opio del pueblo”, rompiendo por diferencias ideológicas con su amigo Bauer y en general con los jovenes Hegelianos.

En 1845 después de ser expulsado de París, se instala en Bruselas en donde también será expulsado en 1848. Es en Bruselas en donde Marx desarrolla actividades organizativas de núcleos obreros emprendiendo una febril actividad revolucionaria, rompiendo con la filosofía clásica alemana y profundizando en el estudio científico de la sociedad.

En 1848, junto con Engels escribe el famoso “Manifiesto del partido comunista” creando con ello las bases de su concepción comunista basada en la lucha de clases que según ellos, es realmente un fenómeno social que actúa como motor de la historia, en donde la propiedad privada es una fuente de enajenación y propugnan la necesidad de la toma del poder político por parte del proletariado.

En 1859 publica la “Contribución a la crítica de la economía política”, en donde se sientan las bases principales de la que sería su magna obra “El Capital”.

“El Capital” es publicado en su primer volumen en 1867. Los volúmenes segundo y tercero los publicará póstumamente Engels y el volumen cuarto el teórico marxista Karl Kautsky.

Durante la última década de su vida, la salud de Karl Marx sufrió gran deterioro. Tras la muerte de su esposa en 1881, Marx desarrolló una fuerte gripe que lo mantuvo en mal estado durante los últimos quince meses de su vida. Con el tiempo contrajo bronquitis y pleuresía muriendo en marzo de 1883 en Londres.

Pocahontas junto a Tigerlily (Peter pan) en el cortometraje "Princess Academy" (PROYECTO CANCELADO)

Iba a ser un cortometraje animado que habría presentado a todas las personajes femeninas que debutaron en las películas de Disney, desde Blancanieves hasta Enredados, incluidas las películas ¿Quién engañó a Roger Rabbit? y El extraño mundo de Jack.

Iba a ser un musical a la par de los segmentos vistos en las películas de Fantasía.

La premisa era que todas las personajes femeninas animados de Walt Disney Animation Studios y Pixar interactúan entre sí, cantando, bailando y disfrutando de la compañía de los demás en un internado real.

En mayo de 2009 comenzó la producción de la película.

En agosto de 2012, el compositor Alan Menken, ganador de ocho premios de la Academia, aceptó trabajar en el proyecto, siempre y cuando Disney le diera luz verde en el futuro.

Él compuso música para La Sirenita, La Bella y la Bestia, Aladdin, Pocahontas, El jorobado de Notre Dame, Hércules, Vacas Vaqueras, Encantada, Desencantada, Enredados, Las Aventuras Enredadas de Rapunzel, Capitán América: El Primer Vengador, Wifi Ralph y los live actions de La Sirenita, La Bella y la Bestia y Aladdin.

En marzo de 2013, Disney destruyó por completo su departamento de animación dibujada a mano, despidiendo a todos sus animadores 2D veteranos.

Por lo que este proyecto no salió a la luz.

Do you make your bed?

Uhhhh well. Sort of. I definitely make it any time I expect I'm going to have company, but on a weekday when I'm the only one in my dorm room? Nah. I didn't make it when I had a roommate either unless I thought she was going to have company (but she never warned me in advance for that so LMAO)

What's your favorite number?

I'm a lucky 7 kind of gal, but I also really jive with 36 and 81. My factors of 9 <3 <3 <3 If I have to pick one, it's always going to be 7 though

What is your job?

Right now, I work for the US Department of Agriculture! I've worked some other random jobs though, such as a waitress at a high-end retirement home and an assistant at a local hospital

If you could go back to school, would you?

Yes. Absolutely. I would reduce how many classes I take (because haha I am at 22 credit hours right now :')) but I love learning! I don't love all the pomp and circumstance of academia, but I've considered becoming a teacher several times as a career option and I actually have taught in a professional setting before. School's a love of mine that even all the stresses I've put myself through hasn't fully been killed

Can you parallel park?

Yep! My city almost never requires it because it's a newer one and street parking is only really used in our tiny downtown or in neighborhoods, but I can do it!

A job you had that would surprise people?

Uhhhh I think my current job is that, LOL! But even then, once I explain the details of my job, people seem to think it fits me pretty well :)

Do you think aliens are real?

I think that somewhere in space, there's something that could be considered life, but we can't agree if viruses are living, so I doubt that whatever could be "life" in another part of space would fit our current definitions! Evolution is already fucked enough as is, so accidentally going down any path that resembles what happened on Earth feels pretty unlikely to me

Can you drive a manual car?

Yes! I practiced with my grandpa's old car, though I also stalled a few times LOL so I'm not GOOD, but I can do it! With more practice I think I would be fine

What's your guilty pleasure?

I'm not really sure? I'm not really guilty about any of my pleasures because they're all pretty vanilla? In my household it's definitely mayo though. No one in my household likes mayo and I usually have to deal with Bullying of the highest degree if I want to use it when I'm eating with my sister and parents

Tattoos?

Nope! And I don't want to get them either. I have an irrational thing of permanently adding things to my body to the point where I had a surgery to remove a part of my flesh instead of having a tiny metal rod inserted in me. Tattoos are filed under the same "body modification" ick mentally

Favorite Color?

A soft lilac! I also really like the darker, desaturated greens, but purple is my eternal love

Favorite type of music?

Things that lean more into the rock side of things! I like harsher sounds, faster tempos, that sort of thing, but also my music taste is literally all over the place. It really really REALLY is a case-by-case basis but if I had to say anything, most Paramore songs are ones I love

Do you like puzzles?

It depends on the puzzle! I like logic and math puzzles, and mysteries are fun as well, but a jigsaw is something I'll only really do if I'm with friends or exceedingly bored

Any phobias?

Well, there's that body modification one I mentioned earlier! I also have an irrational fear of beetles and an even more irrational fear of specifically dropping a kitchen knife into my foot! Yowch!

Favorite childhood sport?

I didn't really play sports as a kid, but if I had to pick one, probably swimming? My current favorite sport is definitely dancing, though (folk and ballroom!)

Do you talk to yourself?

Yep! I use both the singular and plural first person pronouns "I" and "We" when I talk to myself. Generally, I use "I" when I'm more passively thinking, and "We" when I'm being metacognizant.

What movie(s) do you adore?

Back to the Future (1985) by Robert Zemekis my BELOVED!!!! I cannot recommend it enough, and I made a quote from it my senior quote in high school. I also really love The Sixth Sense (1999) and Tangled (2010)

Coffee or tea?

Tea, as I have yet to ever drink coffee! But when I drink my tea, I like it unsweetened and iced

First thing you wanted to be when growing up?

First thing I remember was, ironically, a teacher! Some things don't change <3

I decided I will be working on a Jujutsu Kaisen fanfic while having, non other than Toge Inumaki (for the 1st time ever) be the staring character in this particular fanfic, as well😁👍I also have another treat for you, as well, my Tumblr Peeps🍙🍭 While I have written Shinso (or Shinsou) fanfics, which most of the Hitoshi Shinso (or Shinsou) fanfics I have written are the "Hitoshi Shinsou x They/Them Reader", so those who have seen any of the Shinso (or Shinsou) fanfics, while a fan of Shinso (or Shinsou), a fan of My Hero Academia, a fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, and a fan of Toge Inumaki, then good news, I will give this fanfic a spin and write this fanfic as a "Toge Inumaki x They/Them Reader" type of fanfic to see how this Toge fanfic will turn out🍭🍙😁👍

So, a month later, you realized all of them turned out to be right about Toge.

*As years went by, Toge wrote you a poem about his feelings for you, considering he is good at writing things, such as poems and essays. In the poem he wrote it, he also asked in writing, if you would go out with him, and he also wrote if not he's willing to be just as friends with you. When you told him with a smile on your face, "Ofcourse I will go out with you, Toge. I really wouldn't mind being your significant other. I actually found you cute in first sight and I wasn't sure, if liked me, too. I'm glad you asked me out.", while blushing, he would be happy and surprised that you told him yes.

*When it comes to sign language, Toge would be thrilled that you would be good at sign language. He wouldn't push you into sign language by any means, however if you're not as good as sign language, he would be fine and if you're okay with learning sign language, he is willing to try to help you learn sign language. While he does enjoy writing, he also loves doing sign language, as well.

*Toge loves to cook and bake for you. However if you were to cook and bake for him he will be surprised, however he will be more surprised if you were to cook his favorite food, tuna mayo onigiri (which are japanese rice balls). The reason you know his favorite food besides seeing him eat it, often, is the fact that Gojo and Panda told you that tuna mayo onigiri, which explains why Toge eats it it often. Toge will also surprise you by cooking or baking your favorite food, when he finds out about your favorite food.

*Toge loves snuggling with you. He loves any form of affection regardless if he's receiving affection from you or giving you affection, however his favorite form of affection. However the first time you heard speak in anyway, was when one night he was snuggling with you in the bed you share with him, he said, "Goodnight, (They/Them Reader Name). I love you.", as he kisses you on the forehead. You would be surprised to hear any words from him. You decided to look in his eyes, as you would reply, "Goodnight, Toge. I love you, too.", then kiss him on his lips. He would definitely smile and blush that you kissed him the lips, as both you and him will be having wonderful dreams, later that night.

embodying the chaotic academia aesthetic by annotating my secret history book on the bus, and walking home listening to my beauty is terror playlist on full blast while covering myself in water (its so hot here) and dancing and singing without a care in the world, coming home and changing into dirty clothes to help my mother paint the pool, and then putting on my flowery nightgown and laying on the sofa with wet hair, looking at dark academia things on my tumblr, i might study greek later and have dinner, maybe read some more, and then go to sleep and try to shift (if i actually do a method and not just sleep)

3. Biggest strength

Excellent question! I spent a little time thinking about this because I honestly don't think I have just one, clear strength - although I guess do most people, really? But in the end, I think my actual biggest strength is that I'm a little bit good at a lot of things. For example: I'm scientifically minded, which gives me a useful range of skills; but I also have a bunch of creative hobbies like music, writing, drawing and dressmaking that I'm fairly competent in. And it turns out that having some skill in a wide range of stuff makes you a lot more versatile. Like, for instance, when your PhD suddenly requires you to basically do arts and crafts for Science reasons, you can be like, cool I can basically already do that!

20. 5 things you love

Five whole things? Uhhhhh...

Obvious but: fandom shit. We're literally on dc tumblr lol, I feel like this goes without saying. I'm lumping it into one answer so this whole list isn't just a list of pairings and fandoms, but superbat is the current loml!

Music! I've been playing instruments and singing since I was a kid. I like basically all genres tbh, but my favourite genre to play is jazz and my favourite to listen to is basically any genre fused with funk. (This includes pure funk btw: put on September by Earth, Wind and Fire in my general vicinity and watch me absolutely lose my shit for 3 minutes and 35 seconds.)

A really good sandwich. The majority of sandwich ingredients are fucking baller (I am a slut for both good cheese and a nice seeded sourdough), there's near endless variety, they're easy to make, and it's socially acceptable to just stuff it into your face with your hands. Exquisite. My favourite (partly just out of nostalgia but whatever) is reker smørbrød (open prawn sandwich for the non-Scandinavian) on a sunny summer's day with the family, on the proper white poppy-seed bread with plenty of mayo and a good spritz of lemon juice. And yeah, sure, there's very obviously an element of nostalgia there. But it's my list and I can do what I want, so there!

Fashion I guess? I wanted to be a fashion designer when I was a kid, and although I decided a long time ago that I would hate that actually I've still always really liked clothing and dressing up. Ever since I hit an early quarter-life crisis during lockdown, decided that cringe was dead actually and started dressing like a low-effort e-girl basically all the time, I've been having a blast lol.

The brain. Look, the PhD may have thoroughly beat my interest in neuroscientific academia out of me, but my love for the brain in general remains mostly unsullied. If anyone ever wants a fun neuroscience fact, especially about dopamine (objectively the best monoamine neurotransmitter imo), I'm always happy to provide!

María Dolores Flores Ruiz, conocida como Lola Flores (Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, 21 de enero de 1923 - Alcobendas, Madrid, 16 de mayo de 1995) fue una cantante de copla, flamenco, bailaora y actriz española `paya no gitana, artísticamente apodada "La Faraona".

Se crio en el seno de una familia humilde. Su padre, Pedro Flores y su madre, Rosario Ruiz, compraron un pequeño bar, llamado Los Leones, en Jerez, al poco tiempo de casarse. Situado en un barrio casi totalmente gitano, la pequeña Lola nace en un ambiente de fiesta y cante y a los dos años se la ve ya subida sobre las mesas para bailar.

Con sólo 10 años ya cantaba por los bares de Jerez. A los 15 formaba parte de la compañía de variedades de "Mary Paz" y en el año 1940 convenció a su padre para que vendiera el bar que regentaba y marchar toda la familia a Madrid.

Se estrenó con un par de papelitos en el cine y grabó su primer disco con su tema más popular: Lerele. En "Martingala" su primera participación en una película rodada en ese mismo año canta una copla y comienza a recibir clases en la academia del maestro Quiroga. Junto a Manolo Caracol llevó por España la obra musical "Zambra" entre 1944 y 1951. Lola Flores mantuvo una larga relación profesional y pasional con el cantaor. Les separaban 20 años.

En 1951 realizó su primer viaje a América, debutando con gran éxito en México. Regresaría en numerosas ocasiones al continente americano. La bendición popular de que gozaba se extendía hasta Franco. Casi todos los 18 de julio, Lola actuaba para el dictador en el palacio de La Granja.

Lola Flores empezó a ser llamada "La Faraona", en el año 1955 cuando se estrenó esta película. También se la conocería como "Lola de España". Publicó unos 50 discos en los que interpretó rumbas, rancheras, coplas, números flamencos, etc.

En 1987 comenzaron sus problemas con Hacienda y en 1991 fue condenada a 16 meses de prisión (no los cumplió al salir en libertad condicional) y a una multa de 28 millones por no haber efectuado la declaración de la renta entre 1982 y 1985. Muy aficionada a la pintura, presentó varias exposiciones en España y América.

Contrajo matrimonio con el guitarrista, creador de la rumba catalana, Antonio González, "el Pescailla", en 1957. Se casaron en el monasterio del Escorial. Fruto de esta unión nacieron sus tres hijos: Lolita, Antonio y Rosario; los tres dedicados al mundo del arte.

Lola Flores falleció en Alcobendas el 16 de mayo de 1995, víctima de un cáncer de mama que padecía desde hacía varios años, numerosas personas esperaron en las calles de Madrid el paso del féretro entonando "La Zarzamora", una de sus canciones más famosas. Poco tiempo después fallecería su hijo Antonio en la vivienda familiar "El Lerele". Fue enterrado junto a su madre.

Una de sus anécdotas más recordadas tuvo lugar en 1977 durante la grabación en directo y ante público de una de sus actuaciones para el programa de Televisión española Esta noche, fiesta. En un giro brusco del baile, Lola Flores perdió un pendiente, y en lugar de seguir cantando, detuvo la actuación para clamar ante el micrófono: «Perdón, pero se me ha caído un pendiente enorme. Bueno, ustedes me lo vais a devolver porque mi trabajito me costó. Muchas gracias de todo corazón, pero el pendiente, Íñigo, no lo quiero perder, eh, por favor».

Años más tarde, con motivo de la boda de su hija Lolita, el 25 de agosto de 1983, un gentío de en torno a cinco mil personas abarrotaron la iglesia y su contorno para seguir en directo el enlace. La desaforada concentración de personas impedía la celebración de la ceremonia y ante la desesperada situación, Lola Flores, micrófono en mano, imploró a los congregados: «Si me quereis, irse». La expresión pasó como frase hecha al lenguaje popular y décadas más tarde seguía utilizándose.

Lola Flores no era gitana, siempre dijo que le hubiese gustado serlo, es solo a título informativo ya que se suele levantar polémica sobre ello aunque no sea relevante.

🏛️El portal del cementerio de Rauch llama la atención por dos razones: sus colores alegres y su estilo art nouveau tan poco común en los ingresos a los cementerios bonaerenses. Esos tonos no son los originales, y sólo responden a decisiones de los dirigentes de turno, como ya vimos en el caso de 25 de Mayo. 👷🏻‍♂️El autor fue Federico Marrocco, constructor y proyectista nacido en Dolores el 14 de octubre de 1891 y del que sólo sé que fue alumno Escuela de Bellas Artes y de la Escuela de Gernie Civil de París.

El cementerio local data de 1873. En 1919 se creó una Comisión para que evaluara la posibilidad de construir una nueva entrada, a la que se agregaría una capilla, un espacio para la morgue y otro para la administración.

Como el presupuesto asignado resultaba insuficiente se resolvió solicitar la colaboración de la comunidad rauchense mediante avisos en los principales periódicos locales.

El portal del cementerio y sus nuevas dependencias finalmente fueron inaugurados el 2 de noviembre de 1919 a las 10 am en coincidencia con la celebración del Día de los Difuntos.

🏅En cuanto a Marrocco, también fue premiado por sus valiosos proyectos por la Academia Estímulo de Bellas Artes de Buenos Aires y obtuvo primer premio por la portada del cementerio de Rauch y por el panteón de la Sociedad Francesa de Dolores. Además, editó un artístico álbum de monogramas, ilustrado con fotografías de los principales actores y actrices de la escena y del cine nacional.

🏡Vivió en Rauch durante un tiempo, en los cuales además proyectó un mausoleo y una casa en la avenida principal rauchense en el mismo estilo. Una obra que, junto al art decó salamónico del Palacio Municipal, enriquecen el patrimonio local moderno.
