Family Bond - Part 1
Tyler was a 19 year-old teenager who lived alone with his dad in their small home. His mother had passed away in an accident a few years ago, so he and his father stuck close together. They would usually play board games or look at science magazines, spending entire weekend afternoons with quality family time.
However, Tyler was not a happy boy. Standing at 5’7, and very skinny, he attracted the attention of his school’s football team, who enjoyed making his life a living nightmare. As a puny sophomore, there is nothing much he could do to prevent them. What added insult to the injury is the fact that, deep down, Tyler had always wished he could be one of them. He was longing for popularity and friendship, two things he was never able to obtain.
One day, Tyler was walking home after a rough session of bullying. The football team had pushed him inside his locker and locked him in, meaning he had to bang on the door until the janitor went and fetched a metal cutter to set him free from the lock. He was feeling even more down than usual, so when he passed by the local sports supplies store, he couldn’t help but feel sour. He kept thinking “why couldn’t that be me?” As he was about to go past it, he got an idea. He went inside and bought a football; he had never tried before, so how else would he know if he had some kind of potential? Feeling a little ashamed of his spontaneous purchase, he continued walking towards his home.
“Dad, I’m home!” Tyler yelled, while stepping through the front door. No answer; his dad must be out getting errands done. He slumped his way to his room and dumped his bag and football on the floor. He then sat on his bed and held his head in his hands. Still thinking about his day at school, he pouted at the ball next to him; it was a stupid idea to even buy it in the first place, but he might as well do something with it. He decided to take it outside and try it out; he put on a red t-shirt, black sweatpants and his white and red running shoes.
As he was walking towards the back door, his attention was suddenly driven towards the garage. He couldn’t pinpoint exactly why, but he had a sudden urge to go there instead. In the back of the room, he saw his dad’s old workout furniture. There was a stationary bike and a bench with some free weights. Tyler had never wanted to use the weights, but felt like trying something new.
The teenager moved over to the bench, apprehensively, and dropped his football next to it. He then grabbed a couple of weights, got on his back, and started lifting. That was when he started growing. As he was bringing his arms up and down, they were getting slightly bigger, his biceps inflating until he had an easier time keeping the weights up, and his hands enlarging until he could comfortably wrap them around the dumbbells. His chest and pecs puffed up slightly as his shoulders started broadening, filling his once loose t-shirt until it fit him snugly. His back also broadened and stretched, making him grow from 5’7 to 5’9. Then, his legs bulked up slightly, tightening his sweatpants who lightened to a dark grey color.
After dropping the weights next to him, Tyler got up from the bench, not noticing his tighter clothes or increased height. As he headed towards the stationary bike, he grabbed his football from the floor. Once on the bike, he cranked the knob to make it a bit harder for himself. When he started pedaling, he went much faster than he normally would’ve. Then, as his legs were gaining speed, they started growing as well. His thighs and calves swelled bigger and bigger, until his sweatpants were tight enough to ride above his ankles, as they turned a medium shade of grey. His ass started plumping up, slightly raising his vantage point. His feet were twisting in his shoes, lengthening until they took up the whole space, hurting slightly from being constricted. His legs also stretched until he grew two extra inches, bringing him up to 5’11. Then, as if an old habit was coming back, he started throwing the ball up and catching it, while pedaling on the bike.
After stopping the bike and stepping off, the now fit young man went towards the bench again, still not noticing his changes, in spite of the fact he was slightly unbalanced due to his 4 new inches of height. However, after dropping his football next to it, he decided to do some push-ups instead. He walked a few steps over and positioned himself on the hard ground. He did one, two, three in a row, not even stopping to catch his breath in between each one, going up and down easier than ever before in his life. Suddenly, after a few more push-ups, he got a searing pain in his stomach, as if all his abs had cramped at once. He immediately dropped on the ground, writhing in pain all over, and started growing again. He felt as if he was being stretched from all over, groaning as all his muscles grew at the same time.
As the pain started to fade, Tyler felt his cock getting erect, pointing up its fully hard 4 inches. He propped his arms forwards, trying to stabilize himself into getting back up, but was distracted by the feeling of his neck thickening. He pushed out a deeper groan as his face started changing slowly, his nose and chin pushing forwards as his jaw hardened. His hair also lightened from dark brown to a lighter brown as his meager body hair receded back into his skin. He tried to get up again, only to watch his hands grow, his fingers stretching and thickening against the ground, his palms and knuckles broadening. The growth moved up to his forearms, biceps and shoulders, bulking and bulging until both sleeves ripped off of his t-shirt, leaving him in some kind of tank top exposing his muscly arms.
The exhausted and groaning Tyler finally managed to prop himself into a sitting position, only to feel a sharp pain mixed with pleasure coming from his crotch area. He looked down in bewilderment to see his dick poking out further, as it grew from 4 to 5 inches. He then felt a heaving at his chest as his shirt ripped to bloating pecs, broadening shoulders and an expanding torso. He looked down to see his abs chiseling, forming a bulky 6-pack above a muscly pelvis. He then put his buffed arms forwards again, using them to prop his legs up into a kind of push-up position, trying to stand up again. He was interrupted by the feeling of his legs growing again, looking between his arms to watch his thighs and calves bulking up into meaty legs while his ass was puffing out again, causing his pants to ride up to just under his knees, as they turned an even lighter shade of grey. He suddenly let out a moan, as he watched his dick start to grow again in girth and in length, reaching 6 inches, the pleasure causing him to buckle and fall on his knees. Feeling a sharp pain at his feet, he looked back to see them push out from the front of his shoes, until the soles eventually gave out. The destroyed shoes falling on the ground, he could see his white socks tightly stretched across his huge feet. He then felt another wave of pleasure, arching his back and moaning deeply as his dick grew girthier and longer, reaching 7 inches.
Out of breath, and finally feeling the transformation subside, he propped a leg up and stood up. He felt unsteady at first, thrown off due to him reaching 6’1 during his last growth spurt. Pre was leaking from his dick as he made his way back to the bench, wobbling slightly, only to fall forwards onto it, grabbing both sides to steady himself. As he was wincing in apprehension of the coming growth, a rich tan started spreading on his skin as his face changed again, his brows furrowing, forehead pushing forwards with his widening nose and hardening chin, his cheeks and jaw muscling up, his lips plumping up as his now blonde hair receded into his head, giving him a short buzz cut. As his neck started thickening, he pushed out a deepening groan as he started contorting. His hands grew and strengthened his grip on the bench, his arms bulked up, his torso stretched up and expanded, his back pumped up, his pecs and ass blew up, his thighs and calves bulged and stretched out, and his elongating feet arched upwards to support his new height. His pants rode up to his knees, became white and turned into some kind of stretchy material. Ultimately, he cried out a deep moan as his dick girthed up and stretched to an impressive 8 inches, making him cum on the spot.
Tumblr media
Tyler remained there for a few seconds, his head down, a dumb, sweaty, panting, 6’3 buffed up jock in white stretchy pants that showed his muscly ass and thighs. After catching his breath for a bit and letting his dick soften up, the athlete lifted his head up, looking down below the bench, not noticing the new white and red wristbands he was wearing, and saw his football and a cap he recognized as his. He picked up the first and put the second on backwards, then leaned on the bench to cool down further. When he was done fully catching his breath, he got up and went into the bathroom to take a shower.
-----
Tyler is now a senior in college. At 21 years old, 6’3 and 240 pounds, the star player of the football team feared no intimidation or bullying. As for friends, he was the one choosing who to decline, as he was one of the most popular guys in school.

Mezzo - 05 - Glass of Gasoline
Pairing: mshenko | Rating: M Tags: Canon-typical violence, trauma, dealing with your problems poorly, body autonomy struggles   Summary: The twists and turns of ME2, through the eyes of everyone but Commander Shepard. Chapter Summary: Omega lets Sam Shepard off the chain.   Thank you to @sinvraal for betaing!
Chapter 5: Glass of Gasoline | Read on Ao3
02 November 2185, Omega Nebula, Sahrabarik System, Omega
Shepard shouldn’t be struggling with biotics. The implant insertion had been flawless. Every scan showed it was communicating with his nervous system exactly as designed. If anything, the biosynthetic fibers used to repair his nervous system should improve his ability to tap the gravity well, and the advancements in implant technology should increase the strength of his fields considerably.
He shouldn’t be struggling.
Perhaps this should not be troubling Miranda more than Shepard nonchalantly agreeing to stroll across a bridge dressed as a mercenary, in plain view of a vigilante shooting anyone who comes into scope, but thankfully Archangel isn’t stupid. The moment Shepard puts a shotgun into the back of a Blue Sun and opens fire, not one sniper bullet strikes his shields.
Archangel is indeed in trouble, just as Aria told them, and those who are drowning tend not to question lifelines.
Except Shepard, who has questioned everything Miranda has offered. Her attempts to ask about the implant’s performance have been swiftly rebuffed, but she can feel every futile twist and churn he makes in the gravity well. At best his corona is no more than a pale glimmer, a weakening flame desperately seeking oxygen.
It was perfect. You were perfect.
Well, not quite. The scarring still remains. Easily repairable if she still had access to the Lazarus lab, less so on the Normandy, but still possible. A few more weeks, and that, too, would have been rectified. There would have been no visible sign of her work.
Damn Wilson and his short sightedness.
Shepard has been right at her fingertips for two years. Height, weight, body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, metabolic rate, all of it. She is more intimately familiar with the body of Sam Shepard than she ever will be with a lover.
But she has no baseline for him.
Even without the biotics, he still fights like the Alliance’s hero. Alliance Ns are a sight to behold, and all of Shepard’s muscle memory remains intact. He is swift, brutal, with no fanfare or showmanship. Just a hint of a smirk at the corner of his lips that chills her right to the bone whenever she glimpses it behind his faceplate.
Miranda is well-equipped to handle herself but she is no soldier, and this is a battlefield. For all her skills and all her training, it is Jacob and Massani, the former Blue Sun with a grudge they had recruited upon arrival at Omega, who carry the weight of the fight.
She checks the right corner as they enter the ground floor of the shipping warehouse where Archangel chose to make his stand, gagging at the sickening rot of death inside. Blood stains the floor, some blue, some red. A row of bodies lie hastily covered under tarps. Scouring mars the walls, with overturned furniture forming a hasty barricade.
She is so caught on the sight of it all she doesn’t spot the mercenary on her left until Shepard yanks her out of the way and unloads with his pistol. A body hits the ground with a thud and a squelch. She didn’t see him switch to the pistol from his shotgun. Surely there hadn’t been time. But the man who would have killed her now lies in a pool of his own blood, and Shepard is already moving up a set of stairs towards Archangel’s perch on the second floor, her brush with death already forgotten.
“Massani, watch the entrance,” he barks over his shoulder.
“Goddamn right,” Massani replies, checking his heat sink. Combat is comfortable on him, like being in his armor is more natural than being out of it. But he still wears it, unlike Shepard.
Shepard becomes it.

I think I'm gonna swap my computer desk and bedroom "desk" (literally just a nice long board that's currently laid across a shorter side table, originally propped up on two half-sized filing cabinets I don't have anymore and used by my dad in the early 90's as a pc desk)
Need to do some measuring about it, but I wanna basically face the opposite direction I currently face when I use my computer, cuz there's a slight but noticeable slant in the floor that kinda makes me lean forward too much in my chair and it's actively breaking my new chair a bit >:(
And the way things are currently laid out, the current desk would stick out into my kitchen entry too much if I just flipped it around... but the bedroom desk should slip in more flush, I think....
Ideally I'd like a new L shaped desk, but I don't have the cash right now, and I do get certain thrill from finding new ways to use my current furniture. :3
Ok, looks like the depth will work, but Ilm gonna need to increase the height by about 5 inches it looks like.... hmmmmm..... do I have anything I could slip under the board that's 5 inches thick and also not going to compromise the sturdiness of the setup..... or like, a slightly taller side table... how tall is the typewriter table I'm currently using as a microwave stand?? No never mind, I think that's even shorter, hmmmmmmm.......

World building update??? From me???
Sometimes world building for TSP is hard and I want to cry.
Other times I just think of something that I'm shocked I didn't mention before.
So Alium is my alternate dimension where people with powers called Alii live. Alii have a much broader range of heights, with a standard deviation of about six inches rather than three.
Why? Idk I was bored and wanted to do something fun. Also I like statistics. And height differences. And making random things. I wanted Alium to be different not just because of the powers, and some reasons didn't have to make sense. I just wanna do whatever. I felt like the world needed a little more uniqueness.
(this statistic also doesn't count people with superstrength, technically the most common power, having increased height to begin with)
The point is, there are way more adults over 7'6 and under 4'6 than there are in real life, which means that a lot of things that are standard height here won't be standard height there.
The first thing I did was change the height of doorframes. Then I made furniture of different sizes to accommodate. In general, there were often multiple things accommodating for greater height extremes. Then I realized doorknobs were a problem. But because things were already based on future-esque tech all the doors opened via button or fingerprint scanner from the start, I realized that was still a problem of people not being able to reach the button!!! Sure, multiple buttons could work, but I thought it would be much more efficient if one side of the doorframe was a sensor to open it like that.
Woohoo! Problem solved!
I forgot about stairs.
The height and depth of stairs specifically is based on height. Not wanting multiple staircases, Alium now no longer has stairs. At all. They don't know what stairs are. Elevators/lifts all around!
So yay that's fun. Um if anyone else has anything they'd like to add I'd be more than welcome to hear it.

Sympathy Santa (10 of 12)
Life with Sarah had become an exhilarating tightrope walk between normalcy and the extraordinary. Their sex life, fueled by the novelty of Ethan's size and Sarah's adventurous spirit, had reached heights they never thought possible. But maintaining their secret added a constant layer of tension, a delicious thrill that shadowed their every move.
Ethan, unable to hide his transformation forever, invested in a wardrobe of custom-made clothes, each garment reflecting his ever-increasing bulk. As he returned to work, the initial shock soon faded, replaced by a mixture of curiosity and amusement. He became a living legend, the "colossal colleague," his booming voice and earth-shaking steps echoing through the office.
The gym, once a place of casual workouts, became a personal sanctuary. Each rep, each set, fueled not just his growing muscles but also his ever-expanding belly. His clothes, tailored just weeks ago, began to strain again, the fabric stretched taut across his abdomen.
One evening, as they cuddled on the couch, Sarah dropped a bombshell. "Honey," she began, her voice laced with excitement, "there's something I need to tell you."
Ethan's heart skipped a beat. Was their secret out? His mind raced with possibilities, each one more terrifying than the last.
"I'm pregnant," Sarah announced, her eyes sparkling with joy.
Relief washed over Ethan, followed by a surge of paternal protectiveness. A child, amidst the chaos of their secret world, felt both daunting and strangely grounding.
The pregnancy progressed normally, albeit with a few unexpected challenges. Sarah's cravings were legendary, requiring Ethan to source exotic fruits and obscure ingredients to satisfy her whims. Her belly, growing in tandem with his, presented logistical hurdles, requiring special furniture and strategic maneuvering around the house.
Yet, through it all, their bond deepened. The shared experience of parenthood, coupled with the constant undercurrent of their secret, forged an even stronger connection. They were a team, navigating uncharted territory, hand in hand, heart to heart.
As the baby bump grew, so did the whispers around Ethan. His size, once a novelty, became the subject of speculation and rumors. The line between amusement and concern began to blur, making them even more cautious about maintaining their secret.
One day, while Sarah was at the doctor's appointment, Ethan overheard a group of colleagues gossiping. Their hushed tones spoke of "genetic abnormalities," "freak of nature," and even "medical marvel." Anger flared within him, a primal urge to protect his family, his secret.
But then, he remembered Sarah's radiant smile, the soft kicks from within her growing belly. He couldn't let fear and anger jeopardize their fragile normalcy, their little family built on love and acceptance.
Taking a deep breath, he composed himself. The path ahead would be challenging, fraught with judgment and scrutiny. But they wouldn't face it alone. They had each other, their love an unyielding shield against the outside world. And as he placed a hand on Sarah's belly, feeling the tiny life stir within, he knew their journey, extraordinary as it may be, was just beginning. Theirs was a love story defying definition, a testament to the power of acceptance and the resilience of the human spirit, and they would face whatever came next, together, as a family, forever bound by the threads of their extraordinary secret.
Sarah, humming a cheerful tune, caught a glimpse of Ethan emerging from the bathroom, leaving a trail of steam in his wake. Her jaw dropped. Even towel-clad, his sheer immensity filled the doorway. Gone was the toned physique she once admired, replaced by a gargantuan mass of muscle and sinew, barely contained by the fabric.
His body hair, now longer and thicker, matted against his skin like the fur of a mythical sasquatch. "Ethan!" she exclaimed, a mix of awe and concern in her voice. "You seem… bigger than ever."
Ethan chuckled, a deep rumble that vibrated through the floor. "Just making good use of that gym membership," he joked, but his smile didn't quite reach his eyes.
Sarah stepped closer, tracing the outline of his massive silhouette through the towel. He dwarfed her completely, his head scraping the ceiling. "How do you even fit in the shower?" she marveled, unable to stifle a giggle.
Ethan's chuckle died down. "Honestly," he admitted, his voice low, "it's getting difficult. Every doorframe feels like a squeeze, the furniture seems miniature, even the bed…" He trailed off, the unspoken implication hanging heavy in the air.
Sarah's smile faded, replaced by a concerned frown. The novelty of his growth, once exciting, now seemed to be taking a toll. "Does it… bother you?" she asked softly.
Ethan hesitated, then sighed. "Sometimes," he confessed. "This house, built for normal-sized people, feels like a constant reminder of how... different I am."
But then, a surprising honesty slipped into his voice. "But at the same time… there's a power in this size. A feeling of raw strength, of being something beyond human."
Sarah looked into his eyes, seeing the conflicting emotions swirling within him. Fear and excitement, confinement and liberation, all battling for dominance. She reached up, her small hand dwarfed by his massive bicep, and squeezed gently.
"Ethan," she said, her voice firm yet filled with love, "we'll figure it out. Together. This house, our life, it might need to adapt, but you don't have to shrink yourself to fit in. You are who you are, and I love you for it, all of it."
His heart warmed at her words. He might be growing bigger, physically pushing the boundaries of their world, but her acceptance, her unwavering love, remained a constant anchor. He leaned down, nuzzling her forehead with his cheek, the gesture surprisingly delicate despite his size.
"Thank you, Sarah," he whispered, the words thick with emotion. "For understanding, for loving this… this giant mess I've become."
She giggled, the sound tinkling like wind chimes against his massive form. "Mess? Maybe. But a pretty amazing mess at that."
Their situation was complex, filled with uncertainties and challenges. But as they stood there, bathed in the warm afterglow of their connection, they knew they weren't alone. They had each other, and that, for now, was enough. The future might be as vast and unknown as his ever-expanding size, but they would face it, hand in hand, their love a beacon guiding them through the uncharted territory of their extraordinary lives.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the room, Sarah gathered her things and announced she was heading out for a girls' night. Ethan, a wave of relief washing over him, offered a tired smile and a mumbled goodbye. He wasn't sure how much longer he could maintain the charade, the constant fear of exposure gnawing at his already stretched nerves.
With Sarah gone, the silence of the house felt deafening. It was a silence Ethan knew wouldn't last long. A quick text later, Derek appeared, his small frame dwarfed by the doorway.
"Ethan," he whispered, his voice filled with awe as he took in his friend's colossal form. The redwood, pulsating with an internal life of its own, dominated the room.
Ethan beckoned him closer, a small smile playing on his lips. Derek, his eyes wide, approached cautiously, his hand trembling as he reached out. The warmth radiating from Ethan's flesh was unlike anything he'd ever felt, a potent mix of power and intimacy.
Hesitantly, Derek traced the outline of the redwood, his fingers barely able to wrap around its base. The immensity of it both terrified and excited him. He was a tiny explorer venturing into uncharted territory, a feeling that fueled his growing desire.
Ethan let out a low moan, the sound vibrating through the floorboards. He closed his eyes, savoring the touch, the power dynamic shifting as Derek, emboldened, explored further. His small hands, nimble and curious, danced across the redwood's surface, sending shivers of pleasure down Ethan's spine.
Derek, no longer just a submissive admirer, became an active participant. He stroked the sensitive glans, eliciting a guttural growl from Ethan. The sight of his friend, normally so composed, reduced to a state of primal desire by his touch, fueled his own excitement.
He worshipped the redwood, kissing its tip, tracing its veins, marveling at its size and power. The fear, once present, was replaced by a strange sense of awe and reverence. He was worshipping something beyond human, a force of nature contained within his friend.
Ethan, in turn, surrendered to the pleasure. The size difference, once a source of anxiety, became a playground. He reveled in the control he held over Derek, the way his touch, however gentle, sent tremors through his smaller form. Yet, there was also a vulnerability in Derek's worship, a purity in his fascination, that touched him deeply.
As their exploration deepened, the lines between pleasure and reverence blurred. They were no longer just two friends, but participants in a ritualistic dance, a celebration of their unique and forbidden connection.
When the climax arrived, it was earth-shattering. The room reverberated with Ethan's roars and Derek's muffled cries. The power dynamics shifted once more, Ethan a force of nature unleashed, Derek a tiny boat tossed in a raging sea.
As the tremors subsided, they lay together, the silence thick with unspoken emotions. Derek, curled up against Ethan's side, felt a strange sense of peace, a connection deeper than any he'd ever known. Ethan, the immensity of his form both a burden and a shield, felt a flicker of hope. He wasn't alone in this, not anymore.
They had shared a secret, a forbidden dance fueled by size and desire. And as they drifted off to sleep, they knew this was just the beginning, a first step into a future as vast and unknown as Ethan's ever-expanding form. Their journey, fraught with danger and uncertainty, would be walked together, bound by the threads of their extraordinary secret and the unexpected intimacy they had discovered in the shadows.

A Very Civil War
This idea has been buzzing around my head for a while, but seeing this post catapulted it up the priority list. (Yes, I know that's a mixed metaphor, but I don't know how to unmix it.)
---
Ratchet knew something was different about his Energon ration the moment he picked it up, and it took him less than another moment to figure out what it was. While the colour and consistency of his fuel were unchanged, its weight had slightly but significantly increased, and the liquid level had perceptibly risen, since he dispensed it. Someone had topped it up while his back was turned, and it wasn’t hard to guess who that person was. Only two other people had access to the Energon storage logs and would therefore know about his ration situation, and Optimus would never do anything so underhanded – not to one of his own team, anyway. That just left…
Sure enough, when he looked down at the occupant of the seat beside him, he met the steady, unwavering, utterly unrepentant gaze of his new second. Despite the discomfort he knew prolonged eye contact caused her, Glitch maintained it even while taking a sip of her own fuel, daring him to say something. (Instead of depleting the team’s limited Energon supply, the visitor from another universe was making do with Earth fossil fuels, which she could apparently process just fine in moderation. Ratchet had asked her once how she could drink the stuff; she had made a face and replied, “Reluctantly, and carefully. In excess, motor oil is an intoxicant for us, and there isn’t exactly much of me.” There certainly wasn’t; she was barely twice the height of an average human and slender with it, which had necessitated several modifications to their base’s furniture and the construction of a new medical berth that she could reach without standing on anything.)
He couldn’t resist that stare for long; could anybody? But he didn’t have to put up with her tampering with his fuel. “I don’t need this much.”
“Yes, you do. I know you don’t go out in the field much, which I still don’t understand but that’s an argument for another day, but you use your processor, your tools and your hands all the time, not to mention wrangling some pretty sizeable patients. All of that needs Energon. Which is why I’ve logged increased fuel intake as an official prescription for you.” Of course she had.
“I can overrule that,” he pointed out. He was the senior medic.
“Try it and I’ll set Prime and Raf on you. Maybe Magnus as well.” That was a battle Ratchet knew he’d lose. He could, after much practice, cope with Optimus’ gentle persuasion and occasional guilt-trips on their own and for good reasons, but when combined with Rafael’s pure, open compassion and concern and Ultra Magnus weaponising every relevant rule and procedure in the book, they would be irresistible. Better try another angle of attack. “All right, maybe a slight increment would be acceptable, but I certainly don’t need a full ration.”
“That isn’t a full ration,” Glitch countered. “You’ve been starving yourself for decades, so your system wouldn’t cope with that sudden increase. I planned to add a bit more each time, as much as was safe, hoping you wouldn’t notice. One gamble that didn’t come off, clearly.” She smiled up at him, and he knew he’d lost the battle. “We need you running at a hundred percent. For your own sake, not just because you’re our senior doc-‘bot.”
Well, he wasn’t going to surrender without a fight, and she’d given him an opening. “I am the senior medic of this team, which means I know we don’t have enough Energon for everyone. Not for any long period of time, and certainly not at our usual rate of injuries.”
“Then one of us has got our sums wrong,” she fired back. “Or we’re using different data. Factoring in my presence,” there wasn’t a hint of arrogance in that phrase; it was simply a statement of fact, “and assuming the current trends in Energon acquisition continue, there’s more than enough of a margin to let you stop short-changing yourself. I don’t run on your Energon, but I can protect our teammates in the field,” as she had both a shield mod and medical tools that could be re-deployed as secondary shields, “and patch up the injuries I can’t prevent right then and there. All things being equal, that cuts down fuel consumption past the point where you definitely don’t have to starve yourself. Skies above, I see why you and Prime are Amicae. You’re as bad as he is sometimes.” She didn’t mean to be insulting, Ratchet knew, and his oldest friend did have a tendency to put himself – and only himself – in harm’s way too often for comfort.
But if that wasn’t the racer calling the turbofox fast… “I suppose that is a hazard of our profession.” He looked meaningfully at the scar on Glitch’s upper chestplate, which he knew to be a memento of a Decepticon ambush in which she had protected her partner almost at the cost of her own spark.
“True,” she conceded. “How d’you think I know how to spot someone on starvation rations? Or how to do this?” She indicated Ratchet’s still-untouched Energon. “Holdover from boot camp. Our drill sergeant sometimes docked someone’s rations when he wanted to get creative with punishments.” Ratchet winced slightly. Such behaviour would not be acceptable under Optimus’ authority. “I thought I didn’t need as much as the others, so I’d just top theirs up with mine when they weren’t looking. Even when that wasn’t the case, the standard ration was plenty for a two-wheeler but not quite enough for a construction model like Bulk, so I’d give him a little extra when I could.” The corners of her speech synthesiser twitched up in a brief smile. “Heh, no wonder he was the only one who clocked what I was doing. Anyways, I didn’t realise how much of an effect that was having until after our three worst troublemakers had left. Suddenly I wasn’t nearly so snappish and started doing better on every type of exercise. Not much better, I’ll admit, probably because I was still staying up late reading.” She gave Ratchet an uncomfortably thoughtful look as she took another sip of oil. “Speaking of, once you’ve finished that, I strongly recommend you get some proper rest as well. Or there might be more than extra Energon in your next ration.”
Ratchet primed his voicebox and synth to say, “You wouldn’t,” but he knew she would. She was just as stubborn as him or Optimus, a very direct problem-solver, and quite possibly missing one or two blocks of ethical code. And he also knew Optimus was worried enough about him to back her up – as Magnus also would. Besides, it would be pleasant to power down properly for a while, trusting her to hold the fort, and to take the edge off the symptoms of Energon deprivation he had been resolutely ignoring for so long. It wasn’t as though he couldn’t go back to a reduced intake when her back was turned. Conceding defeat and ending their very civil war (for the time being), he finally picked up the doctored fuel and began to drink. As a broad grin spread across her face, he found he didn’t mind losing that battle. (Much.)

How tall would Figure be in this au? Because he is a tall, skinny boy. Not to mention has long arms-
I did actually look into this way before (And admitedly we did make a post where i was detailing it down about entities being big, doorways and furnitures too), We did conclude that the doors would be bigger, including closets to fit certain characters in this AU..! (Especially since Sulavin is 7'11" foot tall he gonna need to bend his body to pass the door especially hiding inside of closets)
There did exist some actual heights of these entities, Like F//igure and S//eek, But we've decided to make them tall..! Because 1, Tall = Best. and 2, Just so that the height of Sulavin can be enough to compare these said entities..!
Overall to answer your question, The original height of F//igure was said to be 9'3" foot tall according to the Wiki which seemed to lost the height for some reason? But either way we made them to be 11'4" foot tall! Basically adding up 2'1" foot tall height increase! (And we did also add those to each and every other entities that does have a height..!)

Procrastinator's Kitchen Countdown - An Introduction
About 6-7 weeks to go (I hope)
When I came back from studying abroad a few years ago, I moved into a shared flat with a friend of mine. Finding housing in this city is a bit of a hassle, and her former flatmate left a few weeks before I returned, so the arrangement was perfect.
The flat is in the attic of a fairly old "Mehrfamilienhaus", i.e. a house with a number of units big enough for single people or small families. It's fifty steps down to the front door and another seven or so to get into the basement where the washing machine lives (woe is me!).
I like my flat! It was turned from a simple attic into an actual living space somewhat hastily in the 1950's, so the insulation isn't amazing, the doors and windows are fairly old, and it gets really hot in the summer. But it's a decent place to live and it's close to both the university and downtown areas. And because my previous flatmate had lived here for many, many years, the rent had stayed much lower than other places around town, where landlords could increase their ask every time the tenants changed - a frequent occurrence in a city full of students.
Then, four years ago, my friend finished her degree and moved to a different part of the country, which meant I was faced with a decision. I could get a new flatmate (not ideal, since I hate sharing living space with strangers and was really looking forward to living on my own again for a while), or I could try and find a smaller, cheaper place somewhere else in town. However, when I looked around, I realized that my current rent would get me a place about 2/3 the size of my current flat, and to pay less, I would barely get half the space or would have to move to the edges of town. So, I decided to stay and take the rent on myself. After all, it was "just for a short while" and "just until I finished my humanities degree and figured out where I'd go next".
Four years later, I am back in school, studying to get a BSc in computer science, and I'm unlikely to leave town, or even this flat, any time soon.
While I'm glad to have a little more certainty in my life (and finally allowing myself to switch to a career path that actually gives me so, so much joy was easily the best choice I made in the last decade), it also made me realize something: I was no longer in a holding pattern, uncertain whether I would be living in this place for six more months or six more years, and I could start making real plans to make this flat my home.
Which brings me to my kitchen.
My kitchen is pretty small, even by German standards. It's more than the tiny pantry kitchen I had when I first moved out to go to university, but it's still barely big enough to have two people in it at the same time and is nestled under the roof, with the slanted wall coming down to about knee height. The furniture and especially the appliances were already a student-flat-share inheritance when my former flatmate moved in over ten years ago. They got a new fridge when she arrived (the guys living here before had simply hung a bunch of their foods out the window in the winter after their old fridge broke down and apparently had been content with that), but the oven was already worn out at that point. By now, the bottom of the fridge keeps flooding, the sink is starting to leak, and the oven... well.
I have been wanting to bake more cakes and biscuits, and to really try my hand at baking bread for a while. But especially the latter requires you to have fairly good control over your oven's temperature, and for the longest time, my oven door wouldn't even close properly! It took an evening of intense pre-Christmas baking and food-prep to get it hot enough that the warped hinge finally decided to jump back into its original form with an almighty CLANG!, allowing me to close the door without leaving a small gap at the top.
So, about a year and a half ago, once I knew I was going to stay in this flat for the foreseeable future, I started toying with the idea of getting a new kitchen.
For those who don't know, if you rent a flat in Germany, it's maybe 50/50 whether it will come with a kitchen provided by the owner, or you have to bring in your own. Actually, I think having a pre-installed kitchen might be a lot less common than having one, but you can get lucky and buy the previous tenant's kitchen off them for a small fee, which might skew the general perception. Either way, my kitchen is one of the tenant-owned ones.
So, getting new applianves and furniture would fall entirely on my own head (and budget!). This would of course give me a lot of freedom to design it the way I want, but it also means I'll have to figure out what to do with it once I do I move out. I might be able to sell it to the next tenant, or I might even be able to take it with me wherever I move next. But this worry still made it very difficult for me to actually commit to the undertaking - which is one of the main reasons it has taken me until now to get there.
One thing that finally helped sway me was that any time I mentioned possibly getting a new kitchen to people who had actually been in and used the current one (my mother, my sister, my friends), their reaction pretty universally was: "Oh, thank god, finally!!" And as a Christmas/birthday present, my presents promised to chip in financially and help with planning and organizing.
And now, two years after deciding to stay in this flat and well over a year after first opening the IKEA kitchen planner, I Am Finally Doing It!
I have a fairly clear idea of what I want my new kitchen to look like, I have talked to the IKEA kitchen people about logistics and planning, I have created a dedicated section in Notion to keep track of all the cleaning, sorting, ordering, painting, buying, building, etc. I need to do, and I have a rough time frame.
I AM GETTING A NEW KITCHEN!!!
And I'm taking you all along for the ride!

New Bridgeport
For the past month, I’ve been going through my CC, in my yearly quest to get rid of stuff I never use. Sadly, I downloaded more new stuff than I got rid of. But such is life. Anyway, while looking for old sets that I’d somehow lost, I came across a remake of sorts, of Bridgeport. It’s called “My Bridgeport’ by Rflong7. Apparently, someone asked her to empty out the main town - obviously they never heard of the mass destruction feature on Master Controller - and Rflong7 agreed to do it. While she was at it, she fixed the routing issues. (One of the main reasons I never play EA’s version!) And since I don’t really play vampires and such - only supernatural I play are witches - I figured I’d try this world. It comes unpopulated, which for me is a HUGE plus.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All of the original lots are there, but since I’ve been watching “Friends” reruns, I decided this world needed a coffeeshop. (Remember, the original world only had lots from the 1st 3 EPs). I saw a Central Perk lot over on TSR, but it was only 1 story, and if you watch the show, it’s in a high-rise. So, I “fixed” the lot, by adding a few more levels. (BTW, those brick textures are all the same, they just look a tad different on the cornice. Not sure why.) I may go back in and add a “frieze” level to further increase the height of the building. Looks a tad short, looking at it now. Since the original was on a much smaller lot and this one is bigger, I was also able to expand this one a bit. And as a sidenote, those “fire-escape” stairs were a devil to place. Sometimes the damn game just won’t cooperate with you!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the interior. I changed the lot zoning from “hangout” to “coffeehouse,” then got rid of the original Late-Night bar for the coffee one from Uni. I used CC from @aroundthesims for that area. (Thank you, Sandy!) I also got rid of the columns that were used in the original and used that porch railing item. Plus, I decided to use a brick texture for the walls. Then I switched out some of the furniture, added artwork, rugs, plants, and speakers. And on the “stage” by the front window, I switched out the chair that was next to the guitar for danjelay’s Singer spot. (It works like the karaoke machine). And viola! Done!
Tumblr media
Then I went down to the bay area and placed this lot, since I figured the town crooks needed a place to go after they were apprehended by the police. The original was one created by cyclonesue over on TSR. Since I always convert simspaks into package files and am too damn lazy to hunt down all the original CC used, I substituted stuff I had for what was missing, Like that fence. I think it was created by gelina and has scissor-wire on top. Inside. I also got rid of all the crap cyclonesue used to “entertain” the inmates. I actually ran the medical department in our county jail for a couple of years, and believe me, no one gave a rat’s ass if the inmates were “entertained.” (Some of them were hardcore nasties. We’re talking serial killers.) I’m planning on revisiting this lot, and making some more changes, so when I do, I’ll show you the interior.
Tumblr media
This is another cyclonesue lot - her sewage works one. Like the 1st one, it was created fairly early on by her and didn’t use any of the lovely CC she later created. It’s zoned as a pool, because who hasn’t dreamed of swimming in raw sewage?! Again, it was on a 30x30 and this space is 40x40. So, I added stuff. I used @crowkeeperthesimmer’s lovely wall texture set - thank you! - for the exterior finishes on everything, Then, replaced all the windows and doors with the “factory set” ones by cyclonesue. And used her “grill” floor set on some of the walkways. Then added more plants, a parking area, and spawners. (There are none on the original lot). Since I don’t plan on redoing the science center, I added the robot fish and the death fish here - alone with some other weird fish spawners. Since these fish are living in waste pools, I figure they’ve mutated a tad. BTW, that building in the front of the picture is an apartment building that was already there. The only way I could take a picture was doing it from that lot. I was going to eventually bulldoze it, but I figured, “Who doesn’t want to rent a space overlooking the sewage plant and town jail?” so, it gets to stay. BTW, I really need to google how to change the color of the water in those pools to make them look more sewagey. (Totally a word!)
There are 1 or 2 more 40x40 lots down there that I will be doing. But right now, I’m not sure what will go there other than an industrial build.

How can modern restaurant interior design optimize space utilization to accommodate more guests?
In modern restaurant interior design, efficient space utilization is key to accommodating more guests and maximizing revenue potential. By strategically planning layouts, incorporating multifunctional furniture, and utilizing innovative design solutions, restaurants can optimize their space to create a comfortable and welcoming environment. In this article, we explore how modern restaurant interior design can optimize space utilization to accommodate more guests.
Open Floor Plans and Flexible Layouts (approximately 100 words): Open floor plans are a popular choice in modern restaurant interior design as they create a sense of spaciousness and allow for flexible layouts. By eliminating unnecessary walls and partitions, restaurants can maximize the use of available space. This design approach provides the flexibility to rearrange furniture and adapt the layout to accommodate different party sizes and seating arrangements. Using movable dividers or screens, restaurants can create semi-private areas for larger groups or convert the space for private events. The versatility of open floor plans ensures efficient space utilization and the ability to accommodate more guests.
Multifunctional Furniture and Space-Saving Solutions (approximately 100 words): Incorporating multifunctional furniture is an effective way to optimize space utilization in modern restaurant interiors. Tables with adjustable heights or extension leaves can be transformed to accommodate varying party sizes. Banquette seating with built-in storage provides an opportunity to maximize space by utilizing the area beneath the seating for storing extra tableware or supplies. Wall-mounted or foldable tables and chairs offer space-saving solutions that can be easily stowed away when not in use. By investing in innovative furniture designs, restaurants can create a versatile and efficient space that can accommodate more guests.
Bar and Counter Seating (approximately 100 words): Integrating bar and counter seating options is an excellent way to optimize space and increase guest capacity in modern restaurant interior design. Bar stools or high-top tables along the bar area or near the kitchen counter provide additional seating without occupying significant floor space. This seating arrangement is ideal for solo diners or small groups, allowing them to enjoy a quick meal or observe the culinary activity. By offering a combination of traditional table seating and bar/counter seating, restaurants can accommodate different preferences and increase overall guest capacity.
Outdoor and Al Fresco Dining (approximately 100 words): Utilizing outdoor spaces for dining purposes is a smart approach to expand seating capacity in modern restaurant interior design. Outdoor patios, rooftops, or sidewalk seating areas can be creatively designed and furnished to provide an inviting and comfortable dining experience. By extending the dining area outdoors, restaurants can accommodate more guests during favorable weather conditions. Incorporating features such as retractable awnings, heaters, or outdoor fire pits enables year-round usability, further maximizing seating capacity and revenue potential.
Smart Technology and Reservation Systems (approximately 100 words): Incorporating smart technology and reservation systems into modern restaurant interior design can streamline operations and optimize space utilization. Digital reservation systems allow for efficient table management, ensuring that every available seat is utilized. Interactive menu boards or tablet-based ordering systems can reduce wait times and facilitate faster turnover of tables. Additionally, integrating smart lighting and HVAC controls can help optimize energy usage, further enhancing the efficiency of the space. By leveraging technology, restaurants can improve guest flow, maximize seating capacity, and provide a seamless dining experience.
Conclusion (approximately 50 words): Modern restaurant interior design focuses on optimizing space utilization to accommodate more guests. By employing open floor plans, multifunctional furniture, bar seating, outdoor dining areas, and smart technology, designer such as Flipspaces can create efficient and versatile spaces that maximize guest capacity and enhance the overall dining experience.

Tips for Finding the Right Office Space in Dubai
Tumblr media
Office Space in Dubai
Dubai is a popular destination for businesses looking to expand in the Middle East. Finding the right office space in Dubai can be a challenge due to the city’s fast-paced development and high demand for commercial properties. In this article, we’ll provide you with tips for finding the right office space in Dubai that meets your business needs and fits your budget.
1. Determine Your Budget
Sticking to your budget is important when renting a commercial property in Dubai. You should know what amount you are ready to invest in office space. That will help you find the right location since you will look for places that are within your budget and won’t waste your time at places that are beyond your budget. Expenses can include office furniture, ongoing costs such as utilities, and equipment. If you find yourself under a tight budget, a couple of options you could consider are:
Subletting – this is where you rent out a space from another company. This option is cost-effective. However, the disadvantage of this option is the lack of control of the space and if there is business growth, you would need to find another premise. You will also need to ensure that the company is allowed to sublet.
Co-op – this is where several businesses rent out a large office and share common facilities such as the kitchen, meeting rooms and reception area. Renting out a large office with extended facilities can be extremely beneficial such as renting out a space with complementary businesses. Business owners can consider partnering with advertising or IT firm in order to increase business efficiency.
2. Choose the Right Location
When you have already decided to set up your business in Dubai and for that, you have started searching for the right location for your office space. The location of an office should be the base of your decision-making and consideration as to whether the location of the office is convenient for your employees should be a priority. A long drive or an inconvenient location may push away your key employees to choose to work elsewhere. Alongside your team, an emphasis should be on the clients to ensure that they can reach your location with ease. It is important to keep in mind the cost-benefit analysis of price versus location.
One thing that is of utmost importance is that your office space if the face of your business. It must reflect and fit your business model in order to bring success and more business.
3. Determine the Size of the Office Space
It’s essential to have workrooms with enough free space for people to move and access their work areas with ease. It’s also essential for everyone’s health, safety and welfare that every room has sufficient height, floor space and unoccupied space. On average, work areas should be at least 120 square feet per employee — possibly more, depending on the employee type and office layout.
Following these four steps to assess your office space needs accurately.
Assess your current employment situation when evaluating office space needs.
Look at your growth plans when evaluating office space needs.
Determine an ideal layout for your office space.
Factor in other variables when evaluating office space needs.
4. Evaluate the Building's Security
When searching for the right office space in Dubai, evaluating the building’s security is a critical factor to consider. A secure building is crucial to protect your business, employees, and assets.
The first thing to check is the building’s security features. Look for security cameras, access control systems, and security personnel. The presence of these features can deter criminals and prevent unauthorized access to the building.
Next, evaluate the quality of the building’s locks and entry points. Make sure the locks are strong and in good condition. Check the doors and windows to ensure they are secure and cannot be easily opened from the outside. It’s also essential to consider the surrounding area’s safety. Check the crime rate in the neighborhood and assess the level of security in nearby buildings. Choose a location that is well-lit and has a visible presence of security personnel.
Another factor to consider is the building’s emergency preparedness. Check if there are emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment. It’s also important to check if the building has a plan in place in case of emergencies such as natural disasters or terrorist attacks.
5. Check the Accessibility and Parking Availability
In Dubai, parking can be an issue in commercial zones. For your business to run as effectively as possible your clients should have a pleasant experience when visiting you and therefore parking availability at the proposed location is vital. Many employers tend to forget this key point and they therefore suffer a loss of business. If there is a lack of parking, then perhaps neighboring parking lots should be kept in mind that can host employees and clients.
6. Consider the Commute for Your Employees
Is the office located in an area served by good road networks and public transport? Is it convenient for you, your staff and clients, and courier collection and deliveries? An office that is easy to access by road, public transport, and on foot can have a significant impact on your own work life and that of your staff, as well as your customers’ ability to reach your business. It can also affect the pool of potential employees available to you in the future.
7. Understand the Lease Terms and Negotiate Accordingly
Following the selection of office space in Dubai, lease agreements should be negotiated between the tenant and the owner. Office space contracts vary depending on the type of property, building management company and your business needs. So it’s important to know exactly what your agreement includes. The following information should be presented to the Ejari to obtain approval.
Original signed contract receipt for security deposit payment
Copy of the tenant’s passport
A copy of the tenant’s residence visa
Copy of the tenant’s Emirates ID
If all of the documents are present, a fee must be paid to the Ejari for the documents to be registered.
8. Hire a Professional Real Estate Agent
There are plenty of legal procedures that have to be cleared while renting an office space in Dubai, UAE. Hence make sure you take professional help in the entire process. Moreover, real estate agents and consultants are well-aware about property prices and market trends and can be of great help in finding the right office space in Dubai for you at the right cost too.
9. Consider Future Growth
Business owners should analyze the office space and consider whether it is flexible enough to be expanded. When entering a lease, you are essentially fastening your business to that space. Over time, companies can change and many factors may change the space requirements.

A small bedroom can be made to appear larger by using mirrors
Mirrors give the sense of a larger space in a small bedroom. The only option to increase natural light in your space is to use a mirror to reflect the light from a window.
Tumblr media
