It's the week end!
And since it is, lucky yous, get to see the las evolution in Vogoel les mouettes
Tumblr media
lovely animal...
Tumblr media
So there has been quite a bit of progress
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the horse part of Vogoel, except for the local FR3 les Mouettes (Tv and radio), and the (very) local newspaper "le Plumier Argenté"
Tumblr media
So this is more or less complete, now to the planning:
Tumblr media
So, as @batsheba suggested, we will have a spooky castle near the biggest waterfall of them all, with a shared parking lot for a rock climbing site, as friend @samkat10423 said because one needs to fill graveyards.
Next, I was thingking either spooky forest with crazy inventor and a mine... or maybe a balooning station? I'm not sure
Tumblr media
The very last bit will be "L'ile" (original,I know), with the famous Anse Houchpette.
And I don't think anyone will get the silly, silly pun on a 1970's French film here (yup, I'm an old)
Tumblr media
So this little part will have the ferryman house... and a Ferry, to get all those tourists over.
Now, I have a question: Do you prefer Pirate theme for the Island, or more of a supernatural theme? Both can be good but I'm not fixed yet. What do you guys think?
And I will see you all next week with farms, orchards and nectary... Cheers!

Veronaville
I still had some lots to do on the island, so today, I added a dive bar. It's located between danjaley's museum and the Chocolate House cafe.
Tumblr media
This little building was created by a very good friend of mine @yourpicasso25 for her Bourgeneuf world. (A wonderful world, I must say!). Anyway, I think only the bar side was done - it's been ages since I played there - and I added the candy store. (It's on the right side of her build). Anyway, it is now called the Jolly Brooms Pub and the White Rabbit Chocolatier.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway, here's the interior. I had decorated this years ago, so today I just freshened things up a tad.
Tumblr media
Then I started work on the new Capp house. I have to admit I never liked their house. Not when I played the Sims 2 and certainly not now. I always thought EA's layout had much to be desired. And I remember, every time I played Veronaville in the Sims 2, I spent most of my time trying to make the house better. So, this time I said the heck with it and gave them something better. I think I found this house over TSR. But it might have been Mod the Sims. In any case, it was on a much smaller lot, so I was able to give the eldest granddaughter a stable for her horse. I also added that fence along the front, newly paved driveway and sidewalk, and that fountain. Inside, I redecorated it to suit the new owners.
Tumblr media
Then I went over to the other side of the river - up there on Riverblossom Hills Drive - and placed the new Monty house. This one came from Monte Vista. I never really cared for their Sims 2 house either - although it was easier to renovate than the Capp one. So, I gave them a new house too. The layout - while not the greatest - is much better than the Sims 2 one. Plus, I like it. Especially now that I redecorated it.
I also started on Antonio's house - which is a few lots down the street from this one. In between the 2 houses are 2 equestrian lots. Which is kind of ironic, since none of the Montys ride. But it does tick off the Capps, since they have to come over to the Monty side to compete in equestrian events.

More Veronaville
As I mentioned before, I had some routing issues with the original Veronaville, and since danjaley used Riverview as her basis for her town, I downloaded an empty version from Mod the Sims and have been using it.
Anyway, I finished up the "industrial" side today. Go, me!
Tumblr media
I decided to use the hospital from that Supernatural ep, since it looks old and has the added bonus of being a dual rabbithole.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I left the diner pretty much as it was, with the exception that I changed the sidewalk paving to the same one I'm using throughout the town. Next door was the business lot, but I already have one on the island, so I built a small firehouse here. The Monty's footed the bill for its construction, since cheapo Consort Capp didn't see any sense in wasting simoleons on one. As he told everyone in town, "Our ancestors managed quite well without one! You younger sims are just a bunch of crybabies."
Tumblr media
Next to the criminal hideout, I bulldozed the pool EA had there, and placed a water treatment plant that I got from Mod the Sims. (It's still zoned as a pool). The place has "No swimming!" signs posted, but sims still climb over the fence and swim here. Then complain when they break out in rashes. As Consort Capp likes to say, "You can't fix stupid, and the Montys are all really, really stupid," since the medical board - at the last town meeting - complained that the ER has been overflowing with sims covered in rashes and they want more simoleons to cover the added cost of hiring more staff to treat them. What Consort doesn't know is that his grandson has been treated three times.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Across the street is where I was going to place danjaley's Globe Street strip mall. This was where EA had their science facility. Unfortunately, her lot was a bit too big for the spot. So, in my town history, there was a Globe mall here, but it was 'mysteriously' destroyed by a fire - even though it was right across the street from the firehouse - that Consort Capp didn't want. They didn't get there in time to put out the fire, because at the time the fire was blazing out of control, they got 6 other calls from the opposite side of town. Anyway, the previous Globe strip was owned by the Monty family, but after it was destroyed, they couldn't get the necessary permits to rebuild - thanks to the Capps. So, they were forced to sell - at a loss. What they didn't know was that Consort Capp bought the property - for a song - through a proxy buyer. Anyway, since the original description of danjaley's lot said it was the place to go for entertainment, I decided to place a bowling alley there. The building came from My Sim Realty. I just expanded it a bit. And in the parking lot - where there are no parking spaces - I placed Sandy's roller skating object, so my sims can roller skate outside.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the original build, the roller skating thingie was inside, but since I didn't need it, I replaced it with the ice skating one. Upstairs are some video games.
Anyway, that section of town is now done, since I left the 'festival' lot as is.

URL Song Tag
So, @nantucketupsnott tagged me. Thank you, I guess? Luckily, my list will be short!
s - Sand and Water by Beth Nielsen Chapman
a - Annie's Song by John Denver
m - Memories by Maroon 5
k - don't know any "k" songs, so I cheated - because I can! Cracklin Rosie by Neil Diamond
a - All Through the Night by Cyndi Lauper
t - Too Good at Goodbyes by Sam Smith
And now I feel old. Anyway, Thank you to @nantucketupsnott for thinking of me. As for tagging others, I think - from all the posts I've seen - that just about everyone has already done this. But if you haven't, consider yourself tagged. And I'm looking at you Manu @yourpicasso25

Hi guys!
So, big progress made in Voegoel les Mouettes this week. I completed the beach side of the Island... So, in order:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, on the extreme right we have the cheap (but legal) accomodations for tourists. Talking tents and basic comfort here, the kind where you better carry your own TP roll... For the Frenchies, say hello to Patrick Chirac on the way...
Tumblr media
Next, some more serious business:
Tumblr media
The oysters rack and the fish farm!
Tumblr media
I am quite proud of that one, actually, it turned out well, I think
Tumblr media
Nest, we're entering farming gountry, and on this precise place, methinks scenic ruins (thanks to Sandy at @aroundthesims) and a nectary because this is France and we're not joking with important stuff like wine (StopcallingitnectarTYVM)
Tumblr media
A stone throw away, a local museum
Tumblr media
Looks like the Vogoelesiens have quite a long line of ancestors!
a bit more farming on the side...
Tumblr media
That is it for this week! As you can see, making good progress... but this is the fun part, once that do there will be the fine details, the lighting, the road panels and all the small (annoying) stuff like fine detailing the routing and stuff
Anyhwo, tell me what you think, as always, I'm open to suggestions if you have some
See ya'll next week!

Veronaville History Museum
Tumblr media
When you open this town, this is one of the buildings that is provided. It's right across the street from the city hall and its function - according to the blurb danjaley wrote - is to tell the story behind the feud between the Capps and Montys.
Anyway, it's just a shell with 3 exhibits on the 2nd floor. So, here's what I've done with it so far. Outside I added the deco objects - the benches, trashcans, bike, phonebooth and drainpipes.
Tumblr media
I also redid the back patio area. I kept this floor of the museum simple. Like I said, it was pretty empty when you start.
Tumblr media
I placed Arsil's role controller desk in the lobby, because I want to have a security guard walking around. I also added that wall between the bathrooms and the lobby and all the lights. There are a few landscape paintings in that area by the stairs, but nothing pertaining to the feud. Mostly because I figured the original sims who started this didn't want a bunch of fights between the 2 families over whose stuff should be prominent. There is that one painting in the main lobby that's supposed to be a "representation of the street fights" these 2 families engage in. It's actually one of the Beatles that I found over on TSR, but it reminded me of the fight Shakespeare writes about in act 1 of Romeo and Juliette.
Tumblr media
Then I added a tiny ice cream shop just because. Well, mostly because I already have tearooms and coffee shops all over town, and I wanted something a bit different here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The 3 room displays were there on the 2nd floor. I just added the artwork. That one painting in the "study" was created by my good friend, Manu - aka: @yourpicasso25. (I still have all your paintings!) Anyway, I decided that this was the Capp side of the museum. I put those paintings of Pinkie and Blue Boy there, figuring only Consort Capp would have the hutzpah to claim them as family members. I also added the seating and lights and that bust statue called "Cornelia" from the game.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was an empty room with only that roped section done. So, I placed some statues and a few paintings. This is the Monty side. The pig statue is there because they work mainly in the culinary field, owning the bistro in town.
Tumblr media
This is on the 3rd floor. Originally there's just the balcony, but I figured I'd place the mannequin. You'd think it has something to do with Juliette Capp, but in my game the 2 families haven't learned about the romance. This harks back to the original love affair between Patrizio Monty and Contessa Capp - before she ditched him for Consort.
Tumblr media
On the other side of that floor is an art school. In danjaley's description, she says that the museum was funded by a local Duke and some unknown Countess. Since the only former royal I'm going to have in this town is that one from Monte Vista, I decided that the school was opened to help support the museum. Plus, I really didn't know what else to place there. I have some old, bloody corpses from 13th Sim I could have used, but I figured that was a bit much.
Anyway, that's the museum.

Willapa Valley Final Release! 7/19/17
The third time trying to post this, the first time it didn’t work and then my old account got terminated briefly so I posted it on a new account and now I’m back with the actual release on my actual account! It’s been a whirlwind of events haha.
Willapa Valley is based off of the Pacific Northwest, capturing the amazing mountains and the Oregon coast all in to one world! There are multiple distinct areas of the world and it has many activities for sims to partake in! Camping, picking apples at a farm, riding horses, hiking, staying at hotels, scuba diving(one dive lot), boating, bowling, going to bars, getting coffee, and the list goes on! Just as a warning there are many trees and flora so Overwatch by nraas is highly recommended for smoother gameplay!
Stats:
103 lots, 55 residential (5 empty), 46 commercial (3 empty)
2048x2048 size world (largest size)
Requires Late Night, Pets, University Life, and Island Paradise
Stuff packs used were Town Life stuff and High End Loft. Only one or two objects may have been used from these, Town Life is more important to have.
Recommend having Riverview installed from the Sims 3 Store.
I used Awesims’ cornices which are included in the download link, and Awesims’ has given permission for them to be uploaded elsewhere.
I also used rabbit hole doors which can be downloaded here from MTS. Only three were used and they aren’t vital for play ability. Just download the first two files, not the one that says rugs.
Contains all spawners except for the seeds for plants that came with University Life, as they can be found in the University world. No mosquitoes either.
Extra Lots by Other Simblrs:
Fire Station by @mwthesims3 can be found here.
Consignment Store by @nornities can be found here.
Huge thank you to these two and especially @nornities for helping immensely with testing! I had almost no idea what to look for in terms of bad routing so it was a huge help!
Download here from Mediafire
Thanks for possibly downloading or notes! If anyone posts pictures of the world please tag them with #willapa valley!

More progress in Vogoel les Mouettes (staying with that one till a better idea comes along... if ever)
As you can see I planted trees...
Tumblr media
Very many trees!
Tumblr media
In the forest, a big lot for future camp grounds and bonfires, mushrooms and stuff...
Tumblr media
And next door, the vet office , with a decent paddock.
Tumblr media
Completed the road to the lighthouse. BTW, this has a house plot attached to it, looking forward building a lightkeeper home
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This somewhat unappetizing (but fun to make ) place has a purpose:
Tumblr media
So we have two lakes with a fake bridge thing... should be pretty, and as long as you son't ask me where the water comes from, we can still be friends ;)
Tumblr media
As we are on parts I'm not certain about, I am thinking about making some sort of spooky castle here, but I am wondering if I put it on this level with a few future spooky houses, ruins and forest, or push it one level up to install a few climbing facilities (@aroundthesims Sandy's version). What do you think?
Tumblr media
On the other hand, I am going to extend the sandy beach to the whole side of the island. Have plans for a fish farm, and a place for that surf thing and maybe a combo hotel/resort/camping lot..
Okay, let's do that *crack knukles*

Miniworld coming on fast!
Well I'm on holydays this week, so I have been puttering quite a bit!
First, a quick snapshot of the oysters beds:
Tumblr media
Needs a lot more work but this is the general idea.
Next is this place:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can see the salt marshes, a little port, and then a place that is heavilly inspired by the Amiens Hortillonages.
Quite a magical place, and the kind of stuff we French could pull out when we wanted to show Nature who's boss (and we knew how... sadly this kind of knowledge has been going away for awhile.)
Les hortillonnages d'Amiens (youtube.com)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is, on top of being quite scenic, very, VERY fertile land.
Overview of the island so far:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Still a lot to do: Absolutely need a fish farm somewhere, and a place for rock climbing and beaches and sand dunes and maybe a spooky place with monastery ruins (and a nectary, not to forget the important stuff.
I have a tentative name for the Island: Voguoel les Mouettes (lot's of seagulls, obviously)... If there are any French speaking people and BAD puns amateurs around, tell me what you think.

Veronaville - part 2
This next lot, that was created by danjaley, is called the Folio Library.
Tumblr media
I didn't really do anything to the outside, but I did make some changes inside.
Tumblr media
The biggest one was to this room. When you open the lot, it's an empty space. I decided to make it into a computer room. Mostly because 1) I hate wasted space and 2) I never give my sims any skill items - apart from a basic bookcase - until they have earned at least 5 skill points. Which means my writer sims need someplace to go to get those skills - and to write the Great Sim novel.
Tumblr media
The rest of the 2nd floor has 2 game rooms - one for chess and the other for that 4-sim game (I forget what it's called). And 2 reading rooms.
Tumblr media
On the ground level I made some more changes. I made a kid room for the littles and added Arsil's generic role desk in the main lobby, so that I can assign a proper librarian to the lot. I'll probably go back into this lot and redo the bathroom she made. Maybe make it into 2 separate ones. And add more chairs to that 2nd reading room upstairs. Looking at pictures give you some perspective, and helps you see what you could do better.
Tumblr media
In the 2 seating areas here, I changed the curtains to some that are remakes of Sims 2 ones, added rugs and lighting, and a few extra chairs and that was it.
Tumblr media
Next door, I bulldozed the lot that was there and used the Wright Reading Room remake by my friend Tedhi. Since I already have a really nice library, I converted her build into my new business rabbithole. I had planned on using the one from Monte Vista - Simcatti Industries - but it was too big for the space. Anyway, I like this one better.
Tumblr media
I made the basement of her build my new news agency. Basically all I had to do was delete a bunch of bookcases.
Tumblr media
The upstairs level is my business office area. I still have more work to do on this lot, but it's also where I placed the rabbithole rug. (Her's was the building in a basement). Again, I basically just deleted all the bookcases.
Tumblr media
And this was danjaley's city hall build. I did make a few minor changes to the parking areas and added the podium at the top of the stairs so my wind-bag politicians can lie to their supporters, but basically, it's the way she built it.

Veronaville - sort of
Well, I just got back from a trip to New Orleans and was playing in Twinbrook, but then I saw something online about Veronaville, and figured "Why not?" Now, when I played the Sims 2, I mostly hung out in Pleasantview, with the occasional excursion into Strangetown. Never really did much with Veronaville, because to be truthful I didn't really care for the builds there. So, I am NOT a hardcore Veronaville player. Which is why, I plan on changing things. A lot.
Anyway, there are - to my knowledge - currently 2 versions of Veronaville for the Sims 3, and my personal favorite is the one done by danjaley. Mostly because she has a centralized downtown. She does warn you that hers is a "beta" version, created a long time ago, and that you may have issues.
So, I had planned to steal some lots from Monte Vista to use in this town, but they were all too big. But no matter. I just started editing the ones she had - mostly because I wanted to update the town to use later ep lots. But there wasn't a lot of space. So, what to do.
Today, I decided that since she had used an edited version of Riverview for her town, I'd just open Riverview and plunk her lots down in it - after I got the routing fixes from Mod the Sims. And that's what I did. It took me a week to come to that decision, but oh well.
Tumblr media
This first lot is called Pentameter Parkway. In her town, it's on a much smaller lot, so I made a few tiny changes to her build. In my town, I placed it where the military rabbithole was - a 44x44 lot. (That lot I put out where that crazy Cottneye sim has his bunker). The front of the lot is basically the same as she built it.
Tumblr media
But in the back of the lot, I placed a small, soccer field. I also widened the main building a tad and added some windows to this side. I think her original lot came to where that crosswalk is on the road.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In her description, she says that this is "a good place for sims to get groceries and mags," so on the one end, I made it into a comic book store. None of this stuff was available when she created her town. Plus, I use CC in my game. Lots of CC.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the center of the build, I made a tiny grocery store. I thought about placing the rabbithole rug here, but she also created the Veronaville Market, where she placed the grocery RH. So, this store just has the general store register.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then on the end, I got rid of the bathrooms - I put them into that separate building you see in the 1st picture - and instead, made this into a tiny Asian cafe. I got most of the foods from Sandy over on Around the Sims 3. And viola! One lot finished! Go, me!
Then I went into the island part of town.
Tumblr media
This is the bistro lot she created. I did flip the build - mostly because I wanted it to face the street that runs past the city hall. And when I was reconfiguring it a bit, I decided to add that one parking space for the current owner - Antonio Monty. She called it Ristorante Montecci - named after the family who created it. But I figured they all died out and Antonio bought it. If you read his bio, he's having problems keeping it afloat. Sucks to be him.
I also placed a few more lots. But I'll show them to you later. I do want to thank danjaley for all her lovely builds And her commentary on the different lots. A lady after my own heart! She did an amazing job on all of this. I prefer her street and sidewalk surfaces and that she didn't clutter the town with a bunch of streetlights. I had replaced the lights with that one from Monte Vista, but when I switched worlds, I had to delete them. Oh well.

Celebrating spring in style! (one hopes)
Happy Easter you guys! Beggining of spring with some chilly moments... wich I savor because not a fan of heat waves we get every year now.
Now, I told you last time that the CAW bug got my ass once more, the naughty little bugger... Wanna see?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, I know. The water color (and the sky, come to think of it) will have to change, but my game is still on Pycassos Island setting... this world, however... let's say it's a place around Jersey/Guernesey and leave it at that, ok?
It'll get a name once I can think of a suitably bad French pun Tedhi at @franglishetchocolat hasn't commited yet (tough job!)
So, this is a medium sized island. I like my big worlds, don't get me wrong, but this time I wanted a smaller thing so I can really concentrate on the details and not get tired midway.
Tumblr media
Of course, that means doing without the trains... and mostly the train stations, but one must make sacrifices, I guess.
Well, at least it will have a nice big port... one of many.
Tumblr media
And an interesting town center. It's not very visible here, but that place is on 4 different levels. Going to be interesting to build in there!
It is also going to be a very sea and water oriented place:
Tumblr media
We have salt marshes
Tumblr media
And oysters beds I forgot to take a picture of because me stupid.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A whole series of waterfalls with a nice foresty park. I have plans for a fish farm... and if I can find a way manage something like the "Hortillonages d'Amiens" somewhere (look it up, it is so very pretty!)
As always, I am open to suggestions and ideas, if you have any, no matter how strange or "impossible".
I like a challenge.
Tumblr media
Here, have some daffodils for Spring, and see you all soon!

About a week ago, I stupidly complemented someone on here on one of their posts. It was a series of pictures - nothing extraordinary, mind you. It had received no "likes" or any comments, and I felt kind of sorry for them, since it's always nice - after you put something out there - if others show some interest. In my comments, I told them how much I liked their pictures, then said that they were so much better than the crappy ones I take. They weren't, but I was trying to be nice.
I then went on vacation to New Orleans and forgot all about it. When I got back Wednesday, I logged back on here and was surprised to find a rant by him addressed to me. He had deleted my "offensive" post - the only comment he had gotten, BTW - then proceeded to give me a lecture on what a vulgar person I am. Because - believe it or not - the word 'crappy' is the height of vulgarity - in his tiny, little world. Most of his ire was because he apparently hates all Americans. Which is fine. We're used to that.
He then threatened to have me banned. So, if my account disappears, you guys will know what happened. But for the person who threatened me, FYI: Tumblr IS an American company. It was founded by David Karp - an American - in 2007. It was then sold to Automattic - an American company - and has its main headquarters in New York City - which is located in America. So, before you lecture someone else, get your facts straight. And maybe get some help for your hyper-sensitivity. Because you have some deep issues.

More Pikassos island!
Hi guys! I hope you had a good week!
So, I have good news and... questionnable news.
Good news first: Have a few more Greek lots!
Tumblr media
This one is the local breeder/butcher
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not a lot of beef, wich was quite the luxury meat, often reserved or temples (aka priests, t'was always nice to be in the prayes business), but mostly mutton (or lamb if you were feeling fancy) or goats.
Probably lots of goats.
Tumblr media
And a few more I think I forgot to show, or who were incomplete:
Tumblr media
The Poseidon temple and affiliate buildings
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, for the (moderately) bad news: The CAW bug bit.
Yes, I know.
Not to worry, I have a few more places to show in Greece.
BUT... I want to do a nice, compact little island (ok, two islands, the main one and a smaller sattelite)... medium sized world. The kind of place I made the first time I managed to bead CAW more or less into submission... With a real town center, dammit!
And fast and easy to load and play, so maybe more elaborate than before and more attention to details...
Is there something you guys always wanted to have in a world but never really got? Not making any promises, mind ya, but I am always open to suggestions.
