I hate how fandom has become "if you haven't created anything in this very specific time frame after the release of the show/movie, everyone will have moved on"
And call me old fashioned, but that's just not me. I sometimes take ages to create and publish. And I will love a show or movie for such a long time (years, babes, years) that I just can't relate to the fast consumerism that's going on.
Because, let's be real, it can get really lonely in a fandom if most have simply moved on to the next shiny thing. Is what's created less worth, just because it was created outside the hype? Why is it such a taboo for this new fandom generation to love an old or "late" fic or art?
It's so tiring and I'm too old for the 30-seconds-hype-tiktok-shit. Just tired. So, so tired.

10/10. No Notes.
Thx Netflix for posting Nimona on YouTube (I don't fuck with Netflix as a streaming service anymore.)
Finally got to see it. That was beautiful. Deserves every bit of love/praise. One of the best films I've seen. Fantastic from start to finish.
P.S. Ballister & Goldenloin being *that* gay 5 minutes into the film?? No wonder Disney tried to fuck this movie over. Fuck them for almost taking this film away from us.
One of the gayest animated films out there and it did so without trying so damn hard. It just did it.
Now if neither Spider-Verse nor Elemental win the Oscar, may Nimona win instead.

On the latest episode I talk about how Piff Comic came to be. Sometimes I feel like I'm annoying, a burden or wasting the mine & the time of everyone involved. I hadn't seen this video since it actually happened. Just have to rewatch this video when I feel like that

Thinking about how much of a full circle moment the Blue Marble photograph was/is.
This image was taken in 1972 by the crew of Apollo 17 on their way to the Moon - the last humans to ever visit Luna, to date.
And it just so happens that the approximate center of the image is the southeastern region of Africa, under bright noonday sun.
And it just so happens that the southeastern region of Africa, from the Cape to the Horn, is where our most ancient prehuman ancestors, the australopithecines, originally evolved.
Dinkʼinesh ("Lucy"), the holotype of Australopithecus and the genesis of our modern understanding of our species' origins, was not discovered until two years after this photo was taken. In this image, the bones of our most treasured ancestor still lie beneath the earth of Qadaqar, Ethiopia.
This is not just an image of our home planet. This is an image of our cradle. This is where the humanity was born, four million years ago.
What a marvelous coincidence, no?

The fact that Ozzie has been alive since the beginning of Hell and may have lived for tens of thousands if not MILLIONS of years and he's known Fizzarolli for probably 10-15 years at best, but falling in love with Fizz is STILL the best thing that ever happened to him is just.
I think it's pretty neat.

There's something to be said about Nine and Twelve as parallels, about them being these seeming grumps with hearts of gold who must relearn optimism while being fundamentally kind at the end of the day, and Eleven and Thirteen as parallels, as these lonely tinkerers who travel with multiple companions at the same time but push people away before they get too close because they are creatures built on grief, and Ten alone, as something that is all and none of the above, who starts out as a creature born of love but who loses said love and is willing to die and must find grounding but loses said grounding and declares himself the Time Lord Victorious because if he cannot have love he has to have something, anything, he can call his own, and about how all five of them are shaped, fundamentally, by their grief and their guilt over the Time War and being the last of their kind and how every companion leaves them and they will always, always be the last one in the TARDIS, always be the last one surviving, no matter what, and yet all of them, at the end of the day, die to save someone. Die to be kind, just one more time. Because that is what ties them all together. That is what makes them the Doctor.
