Hello! Could I get matchups for Genshin and Obey Me? I understand that there might be a ton of other requests, so take all the time you need :))
My pronouns are she/her and I'm bi, but I'd like to be matched with male charas! I'm 5'4 with normal weight, and I have black curly hair that passes my shoulders just a bit. My skin is tan (eg: kaeya tan lol) and I wear round black glasses!
I'm an INFJ 5w4, I tend to change the way I act depending on the person I'm talking to, and I have this bad habit of saying what others want to hear instead of saying my own opinion; but with the people I end up being more comfortable with, I'm a lot more enthusiastic! I end up being the one rambling about my interests to them. During school breaks I prefer staying in my room hanging out by myself. I get very tired of interacting with people (not that I don't like them, i just get tired!) and I need time to recover. I'm also a pretty hard worker and people say I push myself too hard sometimes 😅 I'm generally someone who's calm and rarely show my anger, but once I do everything just starts to spill out
In my free time, I like making art and do creative writing! Usually when making pieces, I really like to put a lot of small clues and symbolism/hidden meanings for the readers/viewers to piece out the whole lore. And if I'm not doing that, then I'm probably busy reading a book, playing RPG/Rhythm games or watching anime :) oh, I also like to indulge myself in new knowledge? For example if I don't know much about Chinese mythology I'd end up just researching and learning more about it for hoursssss until I get a good grasp of it
I really like well-written stories, RPG + rhythm games, all kinds of animals, coffee, art supplies, museums, aquariums, libraries/bookstores and shopping <3
I dislike overwhelming situations (like a loud party or fireworks) and people who are rude for no reason ... For close friends it's fine because I get that it's a joke but for strangers to just suddenly start to criticize random people?? I also don't like it when people suddenly start to vent to me :') I don't mind people venting but I absorb emotions like a sponge and need to prepare myself before someone does it, or I'll get super moody too
As for a partner, I'd like someone who's wits can keep up with mine, have a great sense of humor, and is willing to listen to me and understand me without judgement either— A sense of security would be nice. And an introvert is preferable so that they wouldn't have to get tired of me just wanting to stay home all day without much interaction. Just spending time together in comfortable silence sounds like the dream <3 My love language is gift giving + words of affirmation, while I'd prefer to receive quality time and acts of service!
I'm so sorry for writing so much 😭 thank you in advance! I hope I met all the criteria!
- 🌾 Anon
Hi 🌾Anon! No need to worry! You put a good amount of information. Thanks for your request! Hope you like your matchups!
In Genshin Impact, I match you with...
Tumblr media
Thoma is a good mix of introvert and extrovert. He's out and about almost all the time because of his job but when he has free time, I feel like he enjoys staying at home. That way no one can try and rope him into doing work on his day off.
Understands your tendancy to change your behaviour depending on who you're talking to. He needs to do that sometimes as well. But he makes sure you know that you can say your mind around him.
I see Thoma as a witty person. He's been in so many situations where wit has been used, so he's picked up a few things.
Also great at giving you a sense of security and spending quality time with you. He's busy with his work in Inazuma but he'll always make time for you!
Greatly appreciates your words of affirmation. He's faced a lot of negative opinions in Inazuma due to being a foreigner so kind words from someone he loves mean a lot to him.
You're both chronic over workers. Ayato steps in occasionally to force both of you to have a break. He can make do for a few days without his loyal housekeeper and he's already taking care of your work for the next few days.
In Obey Me, I match you with...
Tumblr media
Leviathan is the homebody of your dreams! This guy never leaves his room, you'll probably be the one dragging him out!
Loves playing RPGs and rhythm games with you. Gets pretty competitive but is also a bit proud when you manage to beat him. He's been playing these games for hundreds of years, beating him is no small feat.
Pretty good with quality time since he's in his safe space (his room) most of the time. But don't ask too much of him, he has to recharge his battery sometimes.
Words of affirmation are something that will take him quite a while to get used to. He's so used to talking down on himself that hearing someone actually praise him sounds like a foreign language.
Just be patient, he's learning to love himself and someone else (who's not fictional) slowly but surely.
This guy is the last person to judge you! Yeah, he might call you a normie and say the things your interested in outside of gaming are weird, but he never truly means it. Levi's like your personal cheerleader!
His mood can sometimes rub off on you, which makes him feel worse (and so the cycle continues) but if you give him a bit of time alone, he'll be back to his usual self. Even if he cares about the person he's hanging out with, it takes a lot of energy.

helloooo, it is me, the D20 mutual!! i'd love to hear about the acofaf project you're working on, and/or patron saint of lost causes (an absolutely kickass name btw)
Ember you are SO 👌👌👌🔥🔥🔥 for asking this because lowkey I've been wanting to share about them both lol.
So first off, my ACOFAF art! My first ACOFAF art, to be specific. :3 I started it earlier this week and am currently on the final lineart stage. It's Wuvvy in the "burn" scene from episode 3 because I love to hurt myself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: Two versions of the same drawing of Wuvvy from the chest up. She is a satyr with horns that curl outward, floppy ears, a deer-like nose, very long and straight hair, and Regency-style clothing. Her hand is held out toward the viewer, and a tear falls down her cheek. The first image shows the rough sketch done in pencil and paper, while the second is digitally rendered and shows the final sketch, partially lined. End ID.]
For "Patron Saint of Lost Causes," the only context that you need is it's an essay where I just reflect on death lmao. I'm going to be self-indulgent and just post several paragraphs of the very beginning. (Discussion of death starts under the cut in case you'd prefer to avoid it.)
This is a story about the time I did not have a panic attack in the discount holiday decor aisle of the CVS on 53rd and Kimbark. The most important thing to know about the CVS on 53rd and Kimbark is that it's carpeted. The carpet is a not-quite-navy blue and contains much of the store's overwhelming menace. In tandem with the fluorescents, it makes the interior at once too dark and too glaring. This exacerbates the sensory assault from the constant pinging of self-check-out machines and the screaming red 40%-off signs that jump out from around the other side of the aisle like haunted house ghouls. I suspect that's all meant to disorient and send you weaving in deeper. Either that or someone thought it would make the place homier, which is the only other reason I can imagine for giving a drugstore carpet, as opposed to some sane and moppable linoleum like any god-fearing Target. There's an uncanniness to it, like those robots with synthetic flesh stretched over their machinery to give them supposedly friendly faces. The lack of attempt at reassurance would have been preferable.
No one looks at you in the carpeted CVS, because no one looks at anything in the carpeted CVS except for the things they came in to get, because that way they can leave the carpeted CVS faster. This is to say that it's not a bad location for a breakdown, which almost happened because I saw a stuffed rabbit in the picked-through Easter aisle. This was in May. The rabbit had been deposited onto a metal shelf crowded with items in pastel colors that look how a cube of solid fondant tastes. I thought about buying it, thinking I could bring it back to Judith, because Judith might like it, and then I became aware of the weight of my guts like a sack on a string inside me. There was no reason to buy the rabbit, because Judith was dead, which was annoying, because before I would have had a reason to buy the rabbit. This was an interruption to routine.
And I really, honest-to-God tried to have a breakdown about it. The grief was overdue anyway, so it might as well come here and now.
Come on, I thought as I slapped myself around in the aisle, with neither customer nor clerk to stop me. Say uncle. And then after a couple minutes I bought the lightbulb I'd come in for and $16.99 of discount Easter candy that I hadn't.

7,8,15,18 for fanfiction writer ask!
The wonderful @mangotortoise always indulges me on these FanFiction Writer Asks 🥰 Thank you for being an enabler (and curious about my process lol)!
7. When is your preferred time to write?
I don't really have one! Because I'm so scatterbrained, I write the moment an idea strikes if I can, even if it's just texting myself a few lines of dialogue I don't want to forget. Being a working mom doesn't leave much time aside from evenings/ late nights/ weekends, but when I get those Saturdays that I can wake up, park myself at my computer, and just go all day between switching laundry and loading the dishwasher, I love those days. I'm also really excited to write after I write loose scenes/ notes in my notebook because I end up expanding on them so much in the Word document effortlessly!
8. Where do you take your inspiration from?
Obviously, as fanfic writers, we're inspired by the source material, but my motivations beyond that vary by story. I'll stick to my BttF ones here.
For the Time Circuits Series, it wasn't born out of "I want to make a quality MartyOC across the trilogy" (even though that was ultimately my goal). I watched these films growing up with my dad a lot, and the idea of giving Doc a daughter and exploring that father-daughter relationship was my initial motivation before I even realized I wanted to rewrite the series years later.
Once Upon a Time in the West was at first a "stuck in 1885" AU for Cowboyvember, but after years of working on the T-rated trilogy rewrite, I wanted to try my hand at branching out into topics I'd never written about (depression, sexuality, etc). I was motivated to get a little grittier, and as someone who you could easily call modest, I wanted to see what I was capable of beyond the T rating. And I feel like I finally have enough life experience to give an accurate voice to these topics.
15. If you write OCs, how do you decide on their names?
Well, that depends! I enjoy the repetition and echoing in the BttF trilogy a lot, so it made sense that Doc's daughter is Emma (since he's Emmett). She just never had another name to me. Her middle name is "Jean", and at the time I decided that, I think I'd just reread Harry Potter, and "Jean" is Hermione's middle name. It's also an 80s nod to "Billie Jean".
Emma's mother is Dolores - because "DeLorean". And I think that plays a bit of a personal role in Doc choosing the DeLorean aside from all the science hoo-ha.
Clarence Livingston in There Are No Roads was the son of the cabinet maker in 1885. The cabinet maker's sign says "T. Livingston", and as Clarence was sort of the love interest in that story for Emma, his name became the male version of "Clara." So we have "Emmett and Clara" and "Emma and Clarence", and it makes me happy lol.
Other OCs I've created, it's a matter of making sure they're period-appropriate and a lot of "screen testing" -- saying the name out loud in dialogue, seeing how it fits against the canon names, etc. It's just like naming a child, honestly! It has to sound right and feel right. How do the canon characters feel meeting someone with this name? What nicknames/ pet names come out of it? Does the OC LIKE their name?
18. Do you have any abandoned WIPs? What made you abandon them?
Boy, I'm glad I'm being asked this now as opposed to two years ago! For the last ten years, I always wanted to come back and finish my stories, and I'm happy to say that I've completed two since I returned to writing in 2021: Principles of Compromise I left hanging for eight years, and Where You're Going (Time Circuits #1) I left hanging for three years.
I still have one I know I want to finish for the National Treasure fandom. I wrote a successful RileyOC story there in high school titled Another Clue, and I burned out halfway through writing the sequel to it titled One More Clue (but I still have all the notes to continue and finish it)! Perhaps now, with the new National Treasure TV show coming out on Disney+, it's a good time to hunker down and finish One More Clue (even though I'm totally going to have to spruce up Another Clue first because I've grown too much as a writer to leave it as-is before posting it to AO3).
I loathe getting so invested in an unfinished story, so I've tried to make it my mission to have the story finished/ an ending decided when I commit to posting a story. I don't want to make people disappointed like that. It's frustrating. So I'm trying to make good on it by finishing all my WIPs now!
Thanks again for the ask! I'm always open to more!! Have a great day!

💖👻✏️🌙✨
💖 What do you like most about your own writing?
Liking my own writing is tough sometimes because I tend to compare my writing to others which is something I really shouldn't be doing... On days when I'm not comparing myself to others, I feel better about my own writing. What I do like about my own writing is that I let myself indulge in what I love most.
👻 What is one WIP you think you may never pick back up?
There's a bunch of unfinished transformers and steam powered giraffe fics that I don't think I'll ever finish. Once I'm done with Ghost fics, then there's a chance I might get back to those.
✏️ Do you write every day?
I try to. It depends on if I'm motivated at the time
🌙  What time of day do you prefer to write? Why?
I try to write during the day when I have the time for it and when I'm motivated. I'd try at night, but I got work in the morning...
✨ Choose three adjectives to complement your own writing.
Oh man. This is gonna be hard lol
Dark, Otherworldly, and Violent
Thanks for the ask, Anon!

hey hey! congrats on hitting 2k! im interested in doing a matchup if thats alright! i'd prefer one of the boys from genshin impact & i use any pronouns besides she/her or it/its (which includes neopronouns, go at it 🤷‍♂️)
i'd like to think I'm a pretty chill person. I have my moments, of course, but who doesn't? anyway, I'm a bit on the introverted side of ambiverted— i enjoy spending time by myself or with one person that i trust in quiet, or i can go out and talk to people at a party or something. it depends on my mood. I'm honestly a hopeless romantic and enjoy a good romantic story, yknow? I'm a writer and musician too, which is fun!
i never really know what to write for these things, i just hope this is enough information for you lol. congrats again!!!!
I match you with...
Diluc Ragnivindr!
Tumblr media
❇ Diluc easily prefers more introverted situations, enjoying some quiet alone time, eventually allowing his quiet time to be invaded by another should they get close enough to him.
❇ But being a business man, he is also required to be social and perhaps even host parties at his winery, something he'd like his romantic partner to be able to keep up with.
❇ I believe Diluc can enjoy a good book, maybe having a taste in historic or science fiction. If you also enjoy books, he'd definitely like to exchange recommendations with you.
❇ Depending in what you write, he'd be happy to give suggestions for your works, or give a proof-reading
❇ Not one for romance to be honest, so he may not quite understand your hopeless romanticism, but maybe once in a blue moon he'll indulge in some fantasy you may have.
❇ Also depending on your skill, he may ask you once or twice during a quiet night to play your instrument for him.
❇ If you're somewhat on the beginner side of things, he would be willing to get you a private tutor if you so wish.
❇ If you're more experienced, he may allow you the honor of playing a few pieces at a party.
❇ Outside of skill, he'd allow you to play in his tavern whenever you'd like; for fun, practice, or getting a following.
❇ He's certainly a stand-off -ish man and would prefer to be left alone on most occassions, but with special persons, he wouldn't mind company so much :)

2 20 27 happy to indulge u :)
SAVANNAH MY LOVE AHHHHH HI HI. I hope you are good. Thank you for the questions and indulging me. :D
Has your writing changed over time?
Absolutely! It's definitely... improved, a lot. I've pushed myself more in recent years compared to when I initially began writing. I still think my prose has a long way to go though, but I'm always trying to get better and better.
Do you prefer to edit as you go, or once the piece is finished?
Once it's finished, for sure. I find whenever I edit as I go it takes longer to write and I use it as a stalling mechanism. Bad for my focus, lol. I do like, mini-edits after I finish certain scenes though! But never a proper edit. A proper edit for me encompasses upping the detail tenfold, fixing dialogue bits, flow, adding more emphasis/emotion/whatever else.
Are there certain types of writing you won’t do? (style, pov, genre, tropes, etc)
Yeah, I don't think I'd ever write first person POV (at least not for fanfic, if I ever write a novel who knows). I'm not a massive fan of purple prose in general. Some purple is good, but I need a proper balance. In terms of tropes... eh, I don't think I'd ever write A/B/O, but I do enjoy reading non-traditional omegaverse by other writers. :D

Hello! I saw someone not too long ago ask @vaguekiwi about her writing process and was curious to see how writers have their similarities and differences. If you don't mind sharing along the same lines that VagueKiwi has done, could you explain your process too?
hi! sure sure i'd love to talk about this!!! before we begin though, i gave grace's process a quick look and WOW that's a real mf sexy explanation 🥵anyway here we go—
like grace said, what works for me might not necessarily work for someone else. experiment and stick with what works best for you, there's no right or wrong way to write!
1. how i figure out My Story Idea™️
the best ideas have always come to me when i'm doing something random. i'll be in the shower, lying in bed unable to sleep, commuting, etc etc etc, and usually an image, a dialogue line, or a scene pops into my head. i use a lot of other things for inspiration too — my fic wolves go for your heart takes a lot of inspiration from the TV show "suits" (which has a super canonic d/s relationship between the two characters btw). i'm a strong believer in the fact that all forms of art are inspired by one another; it's hard to come up with an idea that's "truly original," you know? imo, as long as you give credit where it's due, there's no problem in being inspired by another piece of art!!
i'm not very good with just sitting on an idea once it gets in my head. the moment it appears, i usually jot down a note on a blank google document or else i forget it. my google drive is filled with 50+ documents that have a Single Line of Description of the story lmao. if i get to it, cool; if not, that's okay. but if i'm feeling inspired and motivated enough, i'll start writing on the spot.
2. outlining???? don't know her
i'm also not very good with outlining, personally. the majority of the time i try to outline, i get bored of writing the actual story and so it never gets written. so, i just write the story from wherever i start and see where it takes me. of course, i've found that this has some issues in the long-run; it's harder to make sure you don't have plot holes or contradict something you said in previous chapters, etc. i've had way too many moments where someone asked me about a plot hole and i was like 😋 whaaaatttt no idea what you're saying!
that's not to say i never outline, because sometimes, when i feel like being a responsible writer, i do. i've had a couple of stories where i outlined chapter-by-chapter, which i do recommend trying if you feel up to it! (it does give you a good sense of direction on where to take the story!) but, yeah, i wing my stories 98% of the time, because that's just how my writer's brain works.
i'm also not a chronological writer at all; i prefer writing scenes in bits and pieces and then i smash all of these pieces all together and edit the final draft multiple times so that it flows well. i need to indulge myself with the scenes that i want right in that moment, or else i just can't get myself to write. this means that 80% of the time, i have the ending of the entire fic written before the beginning of chapter 1 LOL
3. keeping track of The Story™️
notes !!! bullet points !!! random bits and pieces of a scene !!!
the moment a scene or dialogue pops into my head, i write it down and save it for later. i usually just put some space between each "bit" and keep them in the same document as my story, and then i'll paste them into whatever chapter fits it later on. it's a bit chaotic and disorganized, but it is fun, for me, so i guess that's what counts!
for if you give a billionaire, i decided to try to get my shit together and organized everything really nicely. i used the same program called scrivener that grace mentions in her post (grace also convinced me to buy it; salesperson!grace au?!) because it really is a great program that helps you stay focused and organized! so yeah, for that story, i have docs of things to remember, important ideas, peter's rules/limits/etc, a folder of future scenes/bits, etc etc etc. it is pretty helpful, so i would definitely recommend keeping things organized like this! or, you could just keep things chaotic; i'm a fan of that too 😌again, see what works for you!!
4. writer's block (fuck off)
ik this wasn't really mentioned in grace's post, but writer's block is a serious pain in the ass so i think it's worth mentioning. i've been going through a mild slump in writing for a while and it's really frustrating. (un?)fortunately, it means i worked on some tactics to try to work past it, so maybe these techniques will be helpful for anyone else reading this!
i'm a massive fan of fighter's block, i will literally recommend it to anyone who even hints that they're going through a block. you can set a word count goal for yourself and with each word you write, the little character battles the monster. this program is also great because it stops me from questioning every single word that i write — that's one of the main things i experience when i'm going through writer's block. sometimes, in order to write, you just have to write. don't let yourself pause or stop to edit something, save that whole process for later. your first draft can be as shitty as you think it is; i promise you it will look 10 times better when you look at it the next day. and even if it doesn't, you now have words !! that you can edit !!
it's also kind of important to figure out why you have writer's block. for example, with if you give a billionaire, i personally struggle to put our chapters faster than every 4-6 months (that brings me so much pain i'm so sorry readers) because i've put too much expectation on myself. in my head, if you give a billionaire is a story that needs to be perfect, meets everyone's expectations, has just the right amount of plot and smut, has good witty dialogue because they're both snarky assholes, and for some reason i'm convinced that each chapter has to be about 4-6k words. i know that it's all in my head and that no one else but myself is reinforcing these words, but i can't make myself stop thinking it. and that's why i take forever to update — the expectations i've put on myself scares me from writing it because i get worried i'll mess up. so acknowledging and understanding that has helped me a bit because i can try to work past it now that i know what the problem is.
another example: for something like wolves go for your heart, i'm going through a block simply because i've lost inspiration for it. it's not as deep as it is for billionaire, and all i'm waiting for is for me to get back into the mood to write that law setting and boss/associate dynamic.
anyways, the point is, figuring out what's making writing so hard will be the first step in fighting that block :)
you can also reach out to any writing friends; talking out some ideas and AUs are super helpful in fighting a block!! if you don't know anyone personally enough to reach out and text them about it, reach out to a writer in your fandom!! i promise you that everyone will be delighted to help and talk about ideas! @thymenottime has a fantastic queens au going on that you should totally check out btw, and through asks, she talked to me about what she was thinking and we both had a fantastic time!!! sometimes just talking with friends and other writers is the best thing to do for yourself as a writer :]
okay, i think that's about it from me?? if you have more questions feel free to let me know, or you can always reach out to other writers too, of course!! other writers, feel free to chime in! i bet everyone has different tactics that work for them, and fresh perspectives too! happy writing <3

Hello! Congratulations for having 1k followers! Manifesting more followers to come!
So here's a lil bit of myself... my prefered fandom is Haikyuu. About me, I am a huge bookworm - I love to haul books (when I have the budget XD) and I spend a lot of time in bookstores just to be reading and smelling books. I don't do a lot at home actually except pass time by reading, listening to music, journalling, and a lil bit of sketching (when I'm not too lazy). As of now, I am focusing on my studies but still relaxes whenever I have the free time to do so. In terms of personality, I think I like myself being reliable. I enjoy helping people even in small ways, What I don't like about myself is that I can't control myself when angered (but I'm doing my best to control it now). I like being appreciated for the things I've done - even the small ones (I don't get complimented often so whenever I receive one, my heart just flutters with happiness), I don't like people being nice to me and then goes backstabbing me after.
Fun fact about me: I am not a fan of extreme adventures but I always go for the extreme rides whenever we go to an amusement park. I don't know how to swim but I'd probably be willing to jump of a cliff into the sea IF I'm wearing inflatable armband. Yes... face your fears head-on lol!
This post is already lengthy so I'm ending it here. Thank you so much and congratulations once again.
You Probably Kin: Akaashi Keiji
Tumblr media
I think you have the same aura of calm and control around you that Akaashi has. I see you as someone chill and relaxed, someone who appreciates trust ,whether it be between you and yourself or others.
The both of you enjoy indulging in activities that aren't as adrenaline inducing, something that you can enjoy on your on.
Just as Akaashi seeks out volleyball, something that gets his blood pumping, the thrill of the win and seeing the opponents lose being satisfying, I can't help but compare that to your love of thrill rides. Both of you are usually collected, but there's that one thing that just set your nerves alight, an activity that stands out.

Hi!! Could I have a matchup please? I'm 18, pronouns she/her, I'm fine w any gender though I have a preference for males
If its of any relevance, physically I'm about 5'8 tall and on the chubby side, green eyes, brown hair (with blonde streaks) and I wear glasses
If you're into astrology/ mbti, I am a Sagittarius w both moon and rising in Cancer and I'm INFP
So I'm quite emotional lol. Usually very in touch with my emotions and quite perceptive of other's feelings as well. I have a huge saviours complex especially when it comes to feelings (i love helping others figure out their feelings, being a shoulder to cry on or even offering comforting hugs) but I try my best to keep it control cause I don't wanna be suffocating
On the outside I'd say I'm fairly organized, I keep my room clean and all of that, I'm a lil bit of a perfectionist but mentally I'm all over the place. I tend to get carried away by thoughts and emotions and end up procrastinating a lot; anxiety makes it all worse. In short, I suck at time management
To most people I may seem quiet and reserved but I actually really enjoy talking to people; I'm really insecure about not being funny or interesting enough tho. Around my friends I'm more relaxed but still have moments of self doubt
I can also be quite obsessive. If something really catches my interest I won't stop until I search all there is to know about it. For example I watched bnha, read the manga, the spin offs etc all in less than a month and now I'm indulging in fanart and fanfics because I need m o r e c o n t e n t hsbsb. I'm also that kind of person that listens to a new song they like on repeat until they hate it. Speaking of music, I can't say I have a taste lol. My fave genres are rock, pop and indie but I hear smth I like, I listen to it, whether its "high quality" music, basic or weird. Lately I've been listening to a lot of epicore which is literally the type of music thats used in fantasy and sci fi movies askfkdk
I like expressing myself through writing, singing and dancing but I really can't say I'm talented at either of those, it's all in good fun. I also enjoy reading (fiction, non-fic books bore me like hell; my fave genres are fantasy, sci fi and crime) but I haaate literature in school. I'm actually a bit of a math nerd and this year I'm starting uni, studying computer science!! Oh! I've also taken drama classes for 2 years (despite the fear I loved being on stage and plan on starting again once I'm done w the baccalaureate), I love playing D&D and while I woulnd't quite call myself a gamer, I love role playing video games. I'm also almost always down for any kind of multiplayer video games w friends although I have no experience
I'm not a sportive person, I go on walks or do a few exercises every now and then at home but I'm willing to try stuff out like a new sport or going to the gym w an s/o. I do plan on starting self defense classes soon and maybe taking up sword fighting (I love swords hehe)
Tbh I've never been in a relationship so I'm not really sure how I would act w an s/o, nor what I'm exactly looking for. I best express my affection through physical touch tho and that includes my friends so I'd like someone who isn't bothered or can get used to that (s/o would still receive the most hugs/ cuddles etc). I'm not that comfortable w the other love languages for friends and family, but I think I'd be a lot more eager to express my love through them for s/o. If I'm on the receiving end, my weakness is still physical touch :)) but I also need words of affirmation every now and then cause insecurities 🌠 and while I wouldn't ask for anything, especially objects, I am a hoarder and I'd keep any kind of gift like its a national treasure simply bc its from someone I love.
In addition, it doesn't really matter if s/o is more on the emotional or rational side a long as they dont invalidate my feelings; it angers me a lot and makes me feel even more insecure. I tend to isolate when I'm really really upset about something so I need a lil bit of pushing to talk abt it; I'm open to talk abt my feelings but I need the verbal confirmation that they care and wanna help, its not just cause they're being nice
Wow that is a lot of rambling jeez ajsjsjs sorry. Thank you so much if you've read throught that all and ty for the match up!!
Me and my wife literally having a ten minute debate on who we’d pair you with before I made my choice. Thanks for all the details and I hope you enjoy the match up!
I match you with Sero
Tumblr media
I feel he’s outgoing and extroverted enough to help you with your anxiety and always reassure you that you are good at things and he does love you, he’s also so chill and laid back that even if you were clingy he’d not mind, he’d embrace it, his chill nature would help balance you. He would help you feel grounded and have a ‘you don’t have to do it all now’ attitude but would happily help you out. You need help going to the store? He remembers the list you wrote, having trouble fitting in lunch while you study? He’ll come to your door with pizza.
He’s determined and outgoing but isn’t aggressively positive and loud either which I think is why I picked him over Kirishima for you.

“Hey babe, whatcha reading?” Sero asked sitting next to you on the sofa, he handed you a soda which you gratefully took, not looking up from your laptop screen.
As soon as he was sat down comfortably your hand grabbed his, clasping your fingers together as you managed to tear your gaze away from the Wikipedia page which was still open. You blinked up at him and shook your head.
“Oh just something I learned about today and wanted to do some.. extra reading” you explained.
He nodded his head and drank his soda watching as your face lit up as you started to ramble about the topic, he didn’t really know much about it but the way you told him about everything, the way you happily expressed your interest towards the topic made him happy. He gave you his big grin when you finished.
“Sorry, I rambled..” You felt bad, you always felt nervous when you info dumped on people.
“Nah, it’s cool, I didn’t mind at all” he brought your hand up to his face and gave it a kiss, your face flushed at the gentle gesture which caused Sero to laugh playfully.
“Well, if your sure… I just wanted something to take my mind off chores”.
“It’s the weekend, you don’t have to rush anyway.. and if you don’t feel better by tomorrow I can help, you can wash the dishes and I’ll dry?” he suggested still peppering kisses on the back of your hand before you set your laptop down and crawled closer to him.
You nodded softly, that sounded a lot more manageable, you felt your anxiety settle down from a raging nagging feeling to something easier to tolerate. He was such a good influence on you. Sero set down his drink and wrapped his arm around you, pulling you closer to his chest.
“The guys want to come over and say hi later, maybe get pizza… but I can tell them not tonight if you aren’t feeling it… maybe you can play that new game you got? I liked watching you play the other night” He suggested as he nuzzled your head, enjoying how your hair felt on his face.
“Maybe… can I give you an answer later?”
“Yeah, no rush babe”
You smiled softly feeling the lanky boy kiss the side of your head and listened as you carried on talking about the trivia of your current interest.

👖 and 💻 and 👀, for the writing ask game!
👖 Are you a planner, plantser, or pantser? Is it consistent?
I feel like I'm about 85% planner and 15% plantser. I don't let myself start writing something unless I know how it ends and what most of the middle looks like, which almost always involves numerous,, uh, .txt documents for notes (yes I started using notepad on my computer for planning purposes and may have actually written a full fic or two in there completely, which I know is weird and a little chaotic). Much like in all my other projects (sewing, PhD research, vacation travel, etc) I really prefer having a plan laid out already before I do it, even if I end up deviating from it in small, organic ways. So lol yeah I'd say it's pretty consistent, across my life and not just fic.
💻 Do you do research for your fics? What's the deepest dive you've done?
Oh boy, I do so much research for fics but I love doing it so much it's almost an indulgence. I once looked up the frequency of particular minerals in the French Alps just to see whether a fictional country would have used it as decoration in a children's toy. The thing about research is that it's usually something I'm already interested in, hence why I'm writing about it in the first place, so I'll gladly use my academic access to find sources for fic things. I think my deepest dive was into tech stuff for the PacRim AU? NZ south island hiking trails and local marae? Or maybe through wikipedia articles on plants.
At the same time, I do enjoy making stuff up, but I think made-up stuff has to be able to fit logically into a context that makes sense, which for me is achieved either through research or prior knowledge.
👀 Do you have any WIPs that you would never let see the light of day? If yes, what are they about?
As I said before, I don't usually end up with half-finished things because I won't let myself start them. However, there is one (1) in my writing folder, and it's for the captive prince fandom. I had a great idea for it and started writing but could not for the life of me continue past a certain point, even when I started over with new pacing and everything. It was a cool 1920s Irish AU where one protag was literally a bog body from ancient times and the other had just killed his uncle and was on his way to escape the IRA. It was bound to be very magical in a cool Celtic way but, yeah, I just couldn't manage it. A very small piece of it ended up in the fantasy AU I did for codywan week, where (spoilers?) Obi-Wan emerges from his sleep in the moss in that cave just to say hi to Cody ♡

Hallie Bulleit
1. What is your favorite thing right now? You know, I'm loving the newest season of "Mozart in the Jungle". That show is normally one of my more light n' fluffy TV indulgences, but... this season they went deeper with a #TimesUp-inspired plot line involving the leading lady's struggles to be taken seriously as a conductor. As a female musician, I certainly know about sexism in the music world, but it's really fascinating to see how that plays out in the classical music scene, which is not my scene at all. Smart feminism AND a good love story? I tell you, I'm into it. 2. If money (and access) was no object, what frivolous thing would you buy or do today?
Maybe I'd buy an RV. I've already spent too much time online custom-designing what my dream RV would look like.
3. Have you ever gone on a pilgrimage?
I used to dance professionally, and I once hurt my back so badly during a performance that I ended up struggling with chronic back pain for years afterwards. I was finally so desperate to be pain-free that I took a month-long trip to Mexico to try to heal myself. I lived alone in a thatch-roof cabana on the beach, meditating, journaling and doing physical therapy every day. It was like a boring version of "Eat. Pray. Love" without any of the juicy parts. And... it didn't work! LOL. I came home in pretty much the same physical state I'd left in... but it was a transformative trip in other ways. Not everybody gets to take a trip like that, and I never regretted doing it.
I'm happy to say that, later that year, I started dating my now-husband. After about 4 months of our being together, my back pain pretty much disappeared. It was either a coincidence or proof of the healing power of love. Either way, I'm good now, don't worry  <3
4. What is your Kryptonite?
Spicy food. Can’t eat it. And I live in Jackson Heights, Queens which is known for its amazing authentic Indian, Thai, and Mexican food, so I’m truly like Superman living on a pile of Kryptonite. And I know that’s some typical-lame-white-girl shit, but spicy food gives me cold sores, and acid reflux, and a million other completelyunappealing health problems, so... make mine mild, please ;)
5. What is your favorite time of day?
Morning. Not the part where I have to get out of bed (that part's the worst), but the part where I'm drinking my a.m. coffee at my kitchen table, and my day hasn't gotten crazy busy yet. 6. Do you have a go-to "power" song?
I'm back on a big Wolf Parade kick right now, so I'd probably listen to “I’ll Believe In Anything” if I needed to get myself amped up. I feel like I could run a marathon in record time if someone just put that song in my ears on repeat.
7. What is your happy place?
Outside, preferably in the sun. Anywhere I can bike, hike, or swim.
8. If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be?
My husband. Think how great a partner I'd be if I spent a day seeing things from his perspective? I mean, I'm a pretty great partner already, but that would make me, like, THE BEST. Or, if the someone doesn't have to be a human, I'd wanna be a bird. Not even a fancy bird, just any bird that can fly. I wanna fly so bad. 9. What do you think you do best?
Write songs.
10. What is something you do to cheer yourself up?
Write songs.
11. What is the best advice you've ever been given?
I once read an article in the NY Times called "Quit Social Media. Your Career May Depend on It." I used to feel like it was super important as an artist for me to be on social media all the time...  promoting my projects, or just maintaining a "presence". This article pointed out, essentially, that every hour I spend promoting myself on social is an hour I'm not creating the stuff I'm supposed to be promoting. It really resonated with me. I didn't quit social media, and I do still promote my crap on there, but not nearly as much as I used to. I don't waste as much time on those platforms telling myself that it's "work", and I get a lot more actual work done. The article phrased it more eloquently than I can (amazing how NYT writers can do that, haha): "If you’re serious about making an impact in the world, power down your smartphone, close your browser tabs, roll up your sleeves and get to work."
12. Who would you like to see interviewed here?
Any woman over 60, because I don't think we hear enough from them, and they know a lot more than us.
13. Please share your favorite photo of yourself and why it is your favorite.   I love this photo, cuz I look so happy, you can tell I'm doing what I love, AND I'm wearing my favorite t-shirt.
