Can you imagine that by being exposed to Hobie's "radioactivity" for so long, the reader begins to have powers? for example of nature,like Poison Ivy. That would definitely be fun to read.

I had to break my head with this idea, but I think it has potential for future fics!

Daffodil — Hobie x Reader

Warnings: cursing, and ai believe that’s all.

Word count: 580 words.

I might do more of these actually.

In the beginning, while figuring out Hobie’s spider abilities was a wild ride. Although, being the two peas of a pod that you were, you helped him figure everything out. Being the only who knew his secret drew you even closer if that was even possible.

What you didn’t consider was the radioactivity. You had theorised what had happened with the spider and the abilities, and while you had brought up radioactivity, you forgot about the tiny detail that radioactivity tended to affect everyone who was close to it.

The amount of time you spent with Hobie and the amount of time you spent tending to your plants, you started noticing weird things.

At first it was as easy and as wonderful as magically bringing your plants back to health. And then you started noticing plants coming out of your fingers.

After you freaked out, it was now Hobie’s turn to help you calm down, just like you’d done it for him back when he was bitten.

The discussion opened again, now trying to theorise now why this was happening to you.

When you finally arrived to the conclusion that it was perhaps because of Hobie’s radioactivity and your plants, Hobie asked you if you wanted to join him, raising the city, helping people who needed it.

“You know how fucking cool would that be?” Hobie said pulling you by the hips, bringing you closer to him. “My spider abilities, your plant abilities…”

“What could I do? Give people skin rashes with poison ivy?” You chuckled.

“You laugh about it, but it’s actually a good idea. My webs, your poison ivy plants…Not only we immobilise them, but you torture them with an awful itch and skin rash…” He said with a cheeky smirk.

“And how exactly would I be called? Plant-Girl sounds lame. Makes me sound like a hippie motherfucker,” You giggled softly.

“We have time to think about that…” He sighed. “How about Daffodil?”

“Are you serious?”

“They’re beautiful flowers, but they are very poisonous if you ingest them…” Hobie said proudly as he caressed your cheek.

“Who’s gonna eat a daffodil?”

“You’d be surprised with how stupid can people really be…” He chuckled.

For the next few weeks, while you learned how to use your newfound abilities, Hobie helped you out. Sadly, the plant-based abilities didn’t give you the enhanced physical abilities Hobie’s spider abilities. So you had a slight disadvantage there. However, you learned that your abilities could be incredibly powerful. Making plants grow everywhere, any sort of plant. You could mimic Hobie’s web.

However you used your abilities for the most part for protests and even art shows.

Hobie loved how you managed to create art out of plants, he thought it was beautiful. The same plants that got out of control when someone tried to cut the down.

“Capitalism is destroying nature, now we have nature taking over,” Hobie said proudly, as he watched a couple of cops tangled in the branches of a tree. “How does it feel to be completely useless against a tree?” Hobie said, poking fun at the cops, his Spider-Man suit concealing his identity.

Eventually people started hearing of Daffodil. Always wrecking havoc along with Spider-Man, although Daffodil remained more hidden, and wasn’t swinging around like Spider-Man. However, Daffodil usually left flowers behind, as a signature. Some bad guy or some abusive cop, tangled and immobilised in plants, usually poison ivy’s.

Hobie was insanely proud of you. And patrolling the city became the times more fun.

It’s 3pm on a rainy Wednesday, and Hob is sleepily grading student papers, when Death of the Endless appears in his flat, lies quietly down on the couch, and rests her head in his lap.

Hob stares down at her for a long moment, hands aloft in indecision, because this is not... something they do. By now he can say he calls Death a friend, and they get drinks together sometimes and chat, but this...

“Everything alright, love?” he asks, finally resting a hand on her shoulder.

“I don’t mean to disturb your peace,” Death says quietly. The TV Hob’s left on as background noise—some silly cooking show—nearly drowns out her voice entirely.

“Nothing peaceful about trying to find nice ways to tell my students they can’t write for shit,” Hob says, pushing his papers away. He can’t see Death’s face well like this, but he doesn’t like the uneven sound of her voice, not when she’s usually so level. “Disturb away.”

After a long moment in which they both just listen to the TV program host blather on about crumpets, Death says, “I am not affected by deaths.”

“…Alright,” Hob says, though he’s not convinced.

“I am…” Death continues, but trails off on a breath like a whistle of cold wind. “May I... stay here awhile?”

“‘Course.” Hob carefully pets at her head, strokes her hair. Worry is building, but he doesn’t think Death needs him to pull her words out of her the way he sometimes has to with Dream. She will speak when she’s ready. “Do you want to hear some truly fascinating attempts at historical analysis? Or is peace and quiet what you’re looking for?”

“You can speak if you wish,” Death says, still in that quiet tone.

So Hob tells her about some of his students, the ones who truly seem to have some promise in the field, and the others who he’s pretty sure are just mangling their papers together from sentences out of one of those AI things, if the originality is anything to go by. It’s disappointing but does make for humorous reading. Though really, Hob’s not sure whether to laugh or despair when he has to read lines like War has negative effects on people in an actual university academic paper. Wow, you don’t say.

He does manage to get a few chuckles out of his friend, but none with her usual humor and enthusiasm, and eventually he trails off, and they listen quietly to the background noise of the TV.

“Is there anything I can do?” Hob asks quietly.

“Can you control the future, Hob?” Death asks, a rhetorical question without any of her usual lightheartedness.

“Can’t even control the present,” Hob says. He just keeps his hands on her, one on her shoulder, one on the top of her head. Grounding, he hopes. And he thinks on what she’d said.

Hob knows that Destiny is the only Endless that operates in the future, but he has wondered, now that he understands them a bit better, if Death may not have a foot in that direction as well. She must know, some way, how to be where she must when she must.

Death has never seemed overly burdened by the past, even though history is a tower of bones a hundred miles high. Hob had asked, once — do all those terrible things ever bother you? you were there for them all —and all she had said was, “It has already happened,” with neither pleasure nor pain, just acceptance.

The future is another matter entirely.

“Is something going to happen?” he asks.

“I will not burden you with knowledge that is not yours to carry,” Death says.

So, that’s a yes.

“Maybe I could do something about it,” Hob suggests, though he suspects where that query will lead.

“You could not.”

“What about you, then?”

“That is not my place,” she says, though she sounds less certain about it than she usually is when discussing her function.

“You sure?” Hob asks.

“Were I to change fates for some, what excuse would I have for not doing so for all? Unfair things happen hourly, and always will. If I upend the balance, there is no telling how things would tip out of control down the road.”

It must be hard, Hob thinks, to be so powerful and yet so powerless.

“You did spare me,” he points out.

Death huffs, almost a laugh. “In truth, I shouldn’t have done that. Although I suspect Destiny had it written in his book for other purposes entirely.”

Huh. Well, that’s probably something Hob shouldn’t think on too hard for the sake of his own sanity.

“Well, I’m certainly not complaining about it,” Hob says, and Death chuckles.

“Is there anything I can do for you?” he asks, when they’ve been sitting for another few minutes in silence.

“I… do not have many friends,” Death says. Common family trait, then, Hob thinks. Not that it’s really so surprising. Death is very personable, but most of her interactions with people are, well… fleeting. And it can’t be easy to make normal friends, when you’re as expansive a being as one of the Endless.

“Stay for a while then,” Hob says. He pulls a blanket over her and tucks it around her shoulders. “Until you have to go.”

“Thank you, Hob,” says Death, still sounding incredibly weighed down by her function, but given a slight reprieve, perhaps.

Hob rubs her shoulder and thinks about these endless creatures he’s chosen to love. Do they have anyone else to worry about them? He doesn’t think so. It’s just Hob, and he doesn’t think that’s anywhere close to enough, but he’ll just have to do his best.

“Any time, love,” he tells her, and means it.

Adventures on a Foreign Planet | Chapter 1

Summary: After narrowly escaping Thanos, Loki is given a chance for a new life. The Avengers allow Loki to live in New Asgard with his brother, Thor. However, The Avengers are not quick to put their trust into Loki. SHIELD Director Nick Fury recruits an Agent who was once said to be one of the most promising SHIELD Agents, to follow Loki and ensure that he has no plans to harm Earth. Every Asgardian knew the stories of the land that was now supposed to be their home. Many celebrations that were full of food and wine also included the Allfather Odin reminding them of the battle in a small village on Midgard called Tønsberg. The audience would shiver, their shoulders tense as Odin described the land being frozen over by the Frost Giants and their malicious leader, King Laufey; the monsters with blood red eyes and physiques that tower over Asgardians.

The story was always told the same way, with Odin leading the Asgardian army into battle without fear. The War eventually ended in the Frost Giants own realm Jotunheim. But the Midgardian village that eventually grew into a city was still remembered as years later, Odin would ask for the Asgardian worshippers to protect the Tesseract.

At the end of the story, Odin would yell “Asgard will always prevail,” and the crowds would cheer as loud as they could and some would chant the phrase before filling their drinks once more.

Now, their home that they had for centuries was gone. The prophesized apocalypse, Ragnarok, had happened. The Asgardians had needed refuge and their new King Valkyrie, with the advice from the formerly Crown Prince Thor, decided the city from their stories could be their new home. The Asgardians knew there would be no grand celebrations for a long time.

However, most Asgardians were simply grateful to have a chance to continue their lives. Hela’s takeover of Asgard caused many lives to be lost. But their challenges were not over yet, as Thanos had come for the Tesseract.

Thanos originally went for another infinity stone on a planet called Xander. But decided against it as rumors his daughters Gamora and Nebula knew of his plans stopped him. Little did he know that his daughters and their friends knew of his new plan to go after the Tesseract. The Guardians of the Galaxy, as they referred to themselves as, followed him. With the help of the Nova Corp and some Ravagers, they were able to fight Thanos. The new legend says Nebula performed the final attack, killing The Mad Titan.

Not every Asgardian survived the Thanos attack. Most were able to escape quickly in a smaller ship with Valkyrie and Korg. Some decided to stay behind and fight. To ensure Asgard had a future.

Everyday since the Asgardians arrived on Midgard three months ago and renamed the city of Tønsberg to New Asgard, the younger prince of Asgard wondered if it would be the day he was sent to a different realm or was executed.

Loki's last visit to Midgard resulted in a strange wizard putting him in a strange portal where he fell for thirty minutes while Thor was told to take Loki from Earth. Thor easily agreed that his brother was a threat to Earth. The Battle of New York was far from forgotten.

But, now Thor was telling anyone who would listen that Loki had changed and was a hero for the Asgardians. The Avengers did not trust this supposed change of heart and decided to lock up Loki in the Avengers Compound until they decided what they would do with him. Loki did not put up a fight. What was the point?

Thor attempted to make his brother's living situation as comfortable as possible, requesting that he was not put in a cell but rather an apartment like the ones the other Avengers lived in; Tony Stark's AI FRIDAY, ensuring tight security.

During the months living in the compound, Loki was questioned on a regular basis, mostly by the Avengers but occasionally by military and government officials. But ultimately, everyone agreed that it was up to the Avengers to make the final decision.

“Why are you here Loki? Planning another massacre in an attempt to be some King? I wanna know what tricks you got up your sleeve this time cause the mind stuff was really impressive but you don’t seem like the person to enjoy repeating tricks?” asked Clint Barton, a man Loki remembers well. He was always one of the harshest interviewers and for understandable reasons.

The two men are sitting across from each other at a table in Loki’s temporary apartment. Unlike the others, Loki has not been able to add any personal touches. The walls are plain and all the tabletops bare.

“I do not plan on conquering. My return to your planet is simply because it is where my brother and our people are,” Loki responds. He sounded casual and almost bored, as if this was a phrase he repeated many times.

Most of his life, Asgard gave him no attention except when he was causing tricks on them. Why would they when they could instead idolize Thor, the golden prince. Now he is constantly trying to convince others that he is a part of Asgard. That he is wanted by the Asgardians. Loki knew it was a lie, but the silvertongue always knew how to lie.

“Your people? The people who did not want you to become their king so you decided it would be fun to destroy Earth,” Clint almost laughs.

“Fun is not how I would describe my past experience here.”

The dark haired God never once broke eye contact with Clint as he said “There is much you don’t know about how that attack came to be. I was not the main person who lost that day.”

Clint leaned back in his chair, sighing. The details given by Loki about his side of the Battle of New York always felt incomplete. He needed to hold back. The truth of those events and what he experienced because of that Mad Titan is something the Avengers didn’t need to know about.

Knowing it was a lost cause, Clint decided to move on.

“New Asgard is starting to settle down. People are getting used to the situation, more homes are being built. They are starting work and the children are taking lessons again,” Clint offers.

“So I’ve heard.”

“You helped Asgardians escape Ragnarok, " he leaned against the table, "You think you could create a new life?”

Loki only nodded.

Mission Assignment Update: Report to Nick Fury at Base 018

You groan as you put your phone back on the nightstand. It was only 6am, but of course the bastard Fury didn’t care that you only got to your apartment past midnight after finishing your latest mission.

It wasn’t an exciting one. There was a rumor that a “dangerous group” in New Jersey was developing technology that could hack anyone including Tony Stark himself.

And of course like always it was nothing. Just a group of grad students who got pretentious about some of the programs were developing and exaggerated the truth to some of their friends.

Yet, SHIELD still never wanted to take any risks so you were the ever so lucky agent that had to investigate then write a riveting report about how it was nothing.

The notification didn’t include a meeting time, meaning that Fury wants you to be there as soon as possible and no matter what time you arrive, he will complain about you being late.

Your eyelids still feel heavy as you will yourself to get out of bed. As you slowly gain consciousness you wonder why you even have to go to Fury for your mission assignment. Most of the time you are messaged the directions of the missions and complete it all on your own.

Eventually you manage to get dressed and run out of your apartment to head to the SHIELD base. It wasn’t a very big one, though most of the facilities weren’t anymore. SHIELD didn’t have much now after the Hydra infiltration. Many resources were gone and so were many agents.

This base was hidden in plain sight. It was just another skyscraper in New York full of many businesses that each rented a couple floors. As far as the other workers in the building knew, “Secure and Shield Surveillance” was a small technology company that possibly made security cameras or computer protection software.

No one ever really cared enough to investigate further.

You enter the building and take the elevator to the 8th floor. When the doors open and there you are greeted by the hostile stare of the secretary, Bernadette who has half-moon glasses and dresses as though she is working in the 1950s. Her gray hair is in its usual tight updo that never allows any piece of hair to move from its assigned position.

“Well look who decided to grace us with her presence today.”

Bernadette had been a part of SHIELD longer than anyone else (you didn’t know how long because no one would ever risk asking her age). You sometimes wondered if she was always a secretary or if her past jobs were more like yours.

All you did know was Bernadette believed that SHIELD would be best run if everyone obeyed orders and that she hated you because you always did the exact opposite.

You roll your eyes and respond, “Always nice seeing you too. If I knew you missed me so much I would have visited more often.”

“How generous.” Bernadette returns to her work, attempting to ignore you still being in the room.

“I know, when I die I’ll be treated like a saint,” you smile to yourself, knowing that you probably annoyed her enough that she will be irritated for the rest of the day.

She continues to type on her computer, attempting to maintain a bored face, but you are still pleased because you can see the slight furrow in her brow and her frown deepen. “Director Fury is waiting in his office. A reminder on basic manners dear, don’t leave your boss waiting.”

“Didn’t plan on it Bernadette, I’m always polite.” You are already walking down the hall when you respond, while you attempt to hold your small laugh.

As you enter the office, you see Fury but there was another figure with him. Steve Rogers. You’ve met before many times albeit the encounters were usually very short.

He has been involved with SHIELD for many years and after the infiltration was revealed, it was he who heavily promoted the idea of reforming SHIELD in hopes of maintaining its legacy. However, he was still most committed to the Avengers and most SHIELD operations were handled by others.

But now the two men are standing around Fury’s desk, staring at you while you still stand in the doorway.

“Director, Captain, I hope you plan on explaining to me why we are all here.”

Fury steps forward towards you, his arms crossed, “Agent, I assumed you would know from the dispatch that we need to talk about your new mission.”

“Yes, message that provided no details except to meet you here which we both know is irregular. We both don’t have time for this and I assume your other guest, who was not even mentioned on my invitation, doesn’t either.”

Steve looks apologetic as he says “I apologize that I caught you off guard, that wasn’t my intention.”

“It was absolutely my intention. Why are you complaining so much? I thought you loved surprises and it's really a shame we don’t see each other more often,” Fury interrupts.

You force yourself to laugh, “Not my fault you didn’t wanna go on a coffee date with me,” you close the door behind you, fully entering Fury’s office “Captain, are you willing to finally tell me about this mission?”

Steve sighs and sits down in the chair beside the desk, “As you know Thor has brought the Asgardians here to Earth, they’ve been rebuilding their home in Norway.”

You nod. Asgard’s destruction and refuge wasn’t unknown. You heard about some missions of agents being sent to deliver resources and technology to the Asgardians, in an attempt to help them adapt to their new lifestyle.

But doesn’t explain why Fury and Steve, themselves need to personally explain your mission to you.

Steve continues, “Thor also brought some of his companions with him,” he pauses, “Including his brother Loki.”

You feel your heart drop to your stomach and breaths stop.

Loki is back on Earth? It has been years since the attack on New York, but no one has forgotten it. At one moment you are sparring with your fellow SHIELD trainees, placing bets on who was going to get assigned a real mission first, then in the next moment it doesn’t matter. SHIELDs Helicarrier was attacked and the perpetrator had escaped.

Everything you learn about their menacing leader was after the attack. SHIELD was able to collect some footage of the tall dark god. The footage was blurry, but yet you can still see the God enjoying himself. The attack was no accident.

“You let Loki back on Earth? The Asgardians have been on Earth for months, are you trying to tell me you’ve allowed him to be here the whole time. What the fu-”

“Our reasons for allowing him to be here are complicated, Agent. Please try to stay quiet and listen.” Fury starts sounding more and more exhausted, whether by you or the entire situation is debatable.

Steve looks at Fury then back at you, “When we saw Loki had arrived with Thor, we immediately put him in custody. Thor was upset with this decision and tried to explain to us that- well he believes his brother is good now.”

Thor believes his brother is good?

Fury explains, “Loki apparently did some hero shit when they were escaping Asgard and now Thor believes that his little dream of fighting alongside his brother is possible.”

The story they are telling you feels like a dream. Or maybe this is a nightmare. It is too unbelievable to be real.

“Do you believe that? This is ridiculous-”

You are interrupted again by Fury “What did I say about you saying quiet and listening. We haven’t even gotten to the best part yet.”

“We decided to investigate Thor’s claims about his brother. We needed to decide what to do with Loki and we finally came to a conclusion,” Steve stares at me “Loki is moving to New Asgard.”

Steve continues, “New Asgard is where Thor is and maybe eventually after a while, he might even help the Avengers out. This is a dangerous move we know, but it’s one we believe in,” he pauses. “I believe we can give him a second chance.”

Steve Rogers, or Captain America as the world knew he always wanted to do the right thing. To believe there is still good in the world even if it felt like it was all following apart.

And somehow he could even see good in Loki.

You are lost in your thoughts when Fury's voice sneaks into your head. “This is where you come in, Agent.”

Your head whips around to stare at Fury, your mouth slightly agape. During this meeting, you had become so distracted by this absurd story that you forgot the original reason for you being here.

My memory is terrible so I wanted to do a breakdown of my stuff every once in a while. Might be monthly, might be whenever I feel like it. Also there are too many shows on and something is always finishing or starting so a month is a lot.

BL - Currently Watching

1000 Years Old [2/12] - It's silly, and entertaining and makes me laugh. The friend group is delightful and I'm having a good time watching them. Was excited for a minute when Yo suggested a haircut for Pun because I cannot handle that wig. 🤞

Anti Reset [5/10] - This is one of the most frustrating shows I've watched in a while. The show doesn't seem to settle on what is actually trying to say about the AI of it all, and when it says something I'm not crazy about it. Why is it so frustrating? Because they are so fucking endearing when they're together on screen. I wanna love this show so much.

Cherry Magic Th [11/12]– I love them so much. I'm fascinated by the choices that the show is making. As a big fan of the manga and the jbl I came into this with reservations and this show is just blowing my mind. This was the best episode 11 of all time and Tay/New are delivering. My heart is so full with this.

Cherry Magic Anime [7/12]– Another helicopter ride! Yay. The date song was hilarious. We're now getting to the point where they are dating and Adachi is feeling guilty for lying so I'm curious how the show will adapt the next phase of the relationship.

Dead Friend Forever [10/12]– Glad to see we are all on board with Tan's murderous impulses. It's been so much fun having more people join in on the fun. As for me, I NEED White to stay alive. That's really all I want. Getting curious about how Perth factors in to all of this.

My Strawberry Film[2/8] - I feel it coming. I see sadness in my future. But I'm bracing because I'm loving the look of this show. And pining boys are my favourite type of boys. I'm ready.

Ossan's Love Returns [8/9] - The videos messages destroyed me but then that ending made me annoyed. I don't know what to expect in terms of Kurosawa but I hope he's not actually dying and there's a really good reason for all this. Medical mal practice might be the thing. Although as @twig-tea pointed out to me, since it was said in show it might not actually happen. I want happy for the ending anyway.

Perfect Propose [5/6] . Why must I only have them for 6 episodes??? I need more. Kai is everything to me, and that back hug followed by that smile melted by cold heart. Hiro's boss needs something heavy to fall on him from a great height. And please Hiro,sweetie, I need you to eat better and sleep.

Although I Love You, and You? [7/10]- Sakae is letting me down. And by that I mean, the show is letting me down. Sakae needs to put his foot down with Mizuki and go back to being a fool in love with Soga.

To Be Continued [1/8] - It's not amazing. but I'm a sucker for second chance romance and there are two couples so there's a 50% chance I will like this. We'll see. Also, they need to start hiring younger actors for the high school flashbacks. This goes for A Secretly Love too. Having 27 year olds and up playing ten years younger just won't do. It's terrible.

Unknown [2/12] - I'm intrigued. Not completely sold yet but I'm liking it so far. Also nothing would keep me away from watching Sam Lin again.

Also watched the first episode of A Secretly Love and caught up with City of Stars but it's on the 'I need to shut of my brain' schedule so I'm not necessarily watching to weekly.

BL - Finished

Cooking Crush - I will miss all of them. I loved it so much. The whole cut/uncut version thing was annoying and the editing was weird at times but overall this was wonderful. Communication done right. Relationships and character growth was stellar and both couples won my heart. Aungpao really surprised me, considering he was surrounded my pros on all sides. Dynamite was a joy to watch. And OffGun delivering with all the kissing. Everyone should watch this.

The Sign - I mean, what they did to this show is absolutely insane. Not airing the finale like the rest of the show. Having to pay extra for happy ending is ridiculous (although I kinda predicted this and @lurkingshan is my witness. I said as a joke and it turns out reality is a joke.) Then waiting 2 whole weeks for whatever that was. Just the most unsatisfying experience. Go read this from Shan because I agree with everything said there. Also @bengiyo final thoughts here really echo how I felt about this show overall.

Happy Ending - 20 minutes split in 3. Why? No idea. Was it a happy ending? I think so. Was it cute? Sure. Was it great to watch Seong Hyuk again? You betcha. But I didn't love it. I need Choco Milk Shake S2, like, TODAY.

Playboyy - It ended.

Rose Watches OJBL - I feel bad about this. I didn't watch any of the ones I planned to. This might seem like whatever but I've been trying to catch up with awards season films, because since uni, me and a couple of friends always do it and finish it by watching the oscars together and so ojbl was were I dropped the ball. Gonna restart soon though.

Post-NWH Raimiverse Headcanons

(These may or may not be relevant to a fic I am writing, but that's some time in the future. For now, I have all sorts of thoughts on how the Raimiverse will change after the cured villains make their return and so I must inflict those thoughts on all of you.)

Oscorp now has the best lab safety regulations of any corporation in the business. Period. They're light-years ahead of the current standards. Depending on who you ask, this was either Norman's last act as CEO before he stepped back for Unspecified Health Reasons, or Harry's first. Both of these theories suggest some interesting things.

Within the company, theories about What Is Wrong With The Osborns run rampant. Norman just sets off people's danger instincts now, because people his age aren't supposed to move like Olympic-level gymnasts - Peter can get away with being inhumanly flexible because he's a teenager and adults tend to expect teenagers to be capable of some slightly inhuman feats anyway; Norman less so. He can also see a little too well in the dark, and he periodically pops up in places he shouldn't really have been able to get to. It doesn't help that he's usually in those places to terrorise people whose lab safety standards are slipping. "Dad, stop scaring the interns" / "I just want to make sure nobody falls into an experiment and becomes a villain" is an exchange that Norman and Harry have had multiple times.

The theories range from "Norman is a vampire" through "Norman was in a lab accident and wound up able to teleport, but can't control it, so Harry stepped up so nobody would see his dad accidentally disappearing from board meetings" to "The Green Goblin was the result of an accident testing the performance enhancers and Norman hunted him down but had to take the enhancers himself to beat him and it broke his health".

(There are also, of course, theories that are uncomfortably close to the truth. Generally, what happens is that an older employee quietly takes the person who has put the pieces together aside and says, 'yes, you think you've figured it out, but think very carefully about whether you want to *say* it in front of the legal team *and* the possibly-not-quite-human former CEO'. The theorist invariably decides that discretion is the better part of valour.)

Harry does not unsettle people in himself. Harry is shockingly normal and while he can be a bit of a brat on occasion, he's usually very nice. However, people are a little scared of him anyway, because he treats his weird freaky cryptid dad like a perfectly normal person.

When Otto Octavius comes back from his little jaunt into another universe and lands in a destroyed warehouse after nearly wrecking half of New York, Oscorp's second defining feature, after the lab safety, becomes their terrifyingly effective legal team. A lot of precedents about the humane treatment of enhanced individuals are set, and ultimately they get Otto off with a pretty light sentence owing to the whole 'four AIs were controlling his brain' thing. Also, Rosie Octavius survives in this world (because she just does, okay? I'm appealing to the butterfly effect because...just imagine her bonding with May and MJ. It's a wonderful thought).

Once Otto has served his time, he becomes Peter's Science Enabler Uncle. They get along like a house on fire and are an absolute pair of holy terrors. Multiple things have been set on fire in the Octavius (and also the Osborn) house because of them. (So, so many things.)

Rosie, May, MJ, and Harry form the 'not a scientist but afflicted with a scientist dad/husband/nephew/best friend' club and stay over at each others' houses when one of their residences is temporarily uninhabitable because Otto and Peter were doing late night science, or Otto and *Norman* were poking the arc reactor that Otto brought back from the other universe and made a fire. Or because someone had the bright idea of cannibalising a small appliance for a robotics project and now the toaster is no longer functional.

Rosie and MJ are especially good friends and get into long, involved literary discussions which Peter and Otto are utterly baffled by. Even Harry, who's pretty well-read, can't keep up with them once they really get going. Peter and Otto are very proud.

At some point, a Conversation is had about Curt Connors. ('WHAT DO YOU MEAN PETER'S PROFESSOR IS GOING TO TURN HIMSELF INTO A LIZARD?' MJ shouts. 'I didn't say he was *going* to, I said we should keep an eye on him.' 'That...is really not very reassuring.')

And everyone lives happily ever after, to the end of their days.

Pokemon Horizons Episode 45 Review - The End Of The Second Chapter

What a great way to end the second chapter! The raid battle against Rayquaza was intense but great! Liko, Roy and Dot show off their improved battling tactics alongside Friede and Amethio, who shows up unexpectedly after his colleagues retreated. Just seeing the fruits of their hard work from Amethio mastering Terastal to Liko and Roy battling so competently without the need of Friede’s handholding to Liko’s Sprigatito evolving into Floragato, a rare occurrence for Grass-type starters.

The battle between the Trainers and Rayquaza was really good. I loved how Friede chose to split them up as he took Roy and Fuecoco with him and left Cap with Liko and Dot so that he could command him to use Volt Tackle to launch up Quaxly and Fuecoco in the air. The way Roy even landed a hit on Rayquaza with Disarming Voice was so cool to see! When Amethio comes into the fray, he shows off his Tera Ghost Ceruledge and the double battle with him and Tera Dark Charizard was so cool! I can see why the kids want to learn Terastal now.

I was very surprised that the writers would allow Sprigatito to evolve into Floragato. Usually, the anime writers have a severe allergy towards making Grass-type starters evolve. Since Black and White, Ash’s Snivy never evolved; Clemont’s Chespin never evolved; Ash’s Rowlett ate an Everstone and couldn’t evolve; Goh’s Grookey didn’t evolve. I was expecting the same thing to happen to Liko’s Sprigatito, but the writers actually went beyond my low expectations. I have hopes that the same will happen for Roy and Dot and that all three kids will get their Starters to be fully evolved later on. Fuecoco also learns Flame Charge. It’s nice to see Fuecoco learning all sorts of moves. I do wonder when he’ll evolve. Maybe in ten episodes?

I’m glad that the rest of the Rising Volt Tacklers are okay after the major damage the airship took. I do worry about Carkoal’s safety as it’s not present with the other evacuated airship Pokemon. Hopefully, it’s just safe in the engine room as it does look quite heavy to be evacuated safely (yet they were able to move a Nosepass with ease). Because it will take a while for the airship to repair, their adventures come to a halt here. Since the kids will attend school, I do wonder what the adults will do. Will they take up jobs nearby and meet up with the kids occasionally?

The Explorers section was quite interesting. Gibeon tells them to lay low and wait for the Rising Volt Tacklers to get the Six Heroes and then take them from them. That sounds like a solid plan for now. He also wants them to monitor Terapagos and Liko. Uh-oh. The fact that Gibeon knows Lucius, which means that he is most likely aware that she is his descendant. A glimpse of Gibeon is seen towards the end. He has white and black hair, but in a different pattern from Amethio. I’m assuming they’re related, but as ancestor and descendant as Gibeon isn’t supposed to be alive in this era. I’m convinced he’s an AI. He also has a Shiny 10% Zygarde, meaning that Legends Z-A lore will be implemented in the near future, or it’s just an easter egg for the upcoming game. I’m also wondering why Spinel smirked at the end before being dismissed from the meeting. He seems to have more ambitious goals, so I’m curious what his deal is—and it’s not because he’s my favorite or anything, okay?

Overall, the Terapagos’s Shine chapter was a good arc. It was nice seeing progression for Liko and Roy as they grow from novices to more experienced trainers. I can’t wait to see how they will grow with Dot once they study about Terastal at Orange Academy. In fact, I can’t wait to see their school adventures! What are your thoughts on the second chapter now that it ended? Are you anticipating the third chapter?

Some of my thoughts about Robby for s6...

First, I wonder if Robby will start out the season having quit karate again. At the beginning of s4, he had told Kreese that he didn't care about a stupid trophy after everything that had happened. He didn't want to be part of the dojo war, but he ended up joining Cobra Kai and eventually fighting in the avt. At the end of s4, he was more upset about what he'd done during his match with Kenny and about his struggle with his trauma/"hate" than about his loss in the tournament. He quit karate again. He didn't want to be a part of Cobra Kai, and there was no indication that he wanted to rejoin Miyagi-Do if it were open. In s5e6, he re-joined Miyagi-Do and the fight against Cobra Kai, along with the Miyagi Fangs, but he clearly told Daniel that there are people he cared about in Cobra Kai and that they (Miyagi Fang) all needed to take down Silver.

At the start of s6, maybe he'll be focusing on himself and his future, without karate in the mix. Although Robby is really talented, karate has brought him nothing but more trauma. I also don't see Johnny paying much attention to him or encouraging him as the Sekai Taikai champion as much as Johnny will focus on Miguel and his future. Robby was just staying with Johnny for the summer. s6 picks up after the start of the school year. Shannon should have returned by then, which means that Robby could be back living with her. Robby may not even be in Johnny's vicinity at the start of s6, and that would be good for him as his situation with Johnny is toxic. This would also open up storyline potentials for Robby. He has no real family (I assume Shannon is more like a roommate), no real friends except for Tory (and maybe Kenny), and no school, so Robby also being away from Johnny gives the writers a more open canvas to work with for Robby. Of course, at one point something would happen and Robby would re-join Miyagi-Do and continue with karate and training for the Sekai Taikai.

Next, in a recent q&a, Hayden said that the dojo will have to select team leaders from each dojo. Johnny would no doubt back Miguel for the boys and Daniel would back Sam for the girls, regardless if more girls joined. Daniel may show some support for Robby to lead the boys, but that remains to be seen. Hawk is in Miyagi-Do and won the avt. If anything, Miguel and Hawk would be supported by the senseis over Robby, and Hawk would definitely step aside for Miguel to lead.

So, most likely Miguel would be the leader for the boys, at least starting out. But, would Robby actually follow his lead completely? In s5e9, Robby went on his own to the CK dojo without the Miyagi Fangs knowing. It shows that Robby would still operate independently if he needs to. Also, in the brawl, when Miguel yelled protect the egg, everyone gathered around Anthony. But when Miguel yelled "Ais!", no one moved. Then Robby yelled it and everyone got into defensive stance. When I saw Hayden's tweet, I realized that my Robby as a leader post actually has some relevance after all. Narratively, Robby has been built out as a leader compared to all the other kids.

Of course, if my first thought above about Robby is true, then at the start of the season, Robby wouldn't even be in the dojo, so Miguel starting out as the leader for the boys would be a given anyway. However, eventually Robby would become the leader at some point because narratively he's been built out to be.

Finally, there's a certain payoff that I'm hoping we'll see. In s3e3, Bobby encouraged Johnny to be there for both boys. Bobby then arranged a visit for Johnny with Robby in juvie. Johnny missed the visit. In s3e4, Johnny was on the phone with Bobby and told him to tell Robby that he's going to make things right with Robby. Bobby obviously refused to do that for Johnny, so Johnny said he'd tell Robby himself.

Since this scene, Bobby hasn't come back. But I think it stands out that Robby specifically met Bobby. Bobby had done a pure act of kindness for Robby and for Johnny. In turn, Bobby himself experienced first hand that Johnny chooses Miguel over Robby. This was after Bobby had told Johnny to be there for both boys. Fans like to quote Bobby saying this, but they always leave out the phone call that followed after Johnny blew off the visit. After this, Bobby doesn't know that Johnny continued to choose Miguel over Robby, abandoned Robby for months, and eventually left Robby with Kreese after Johnny had a violent confrontations with both of them and Kreese tried to kill Johnny. In s2e6, Bobby was not happy with Johnny's decision to let Kreese back into his life. So, Bobby definitely wouldn't approve of Johnny leaving Robby with Kreese.

I don't think Bobby would approve of how Johnny treats Robby overall. And I think Bobby having this first hand experience may influence Bobby to be on Robby's side if Bobby were to learn more details. I've seen fans say that they want Bobby to return to officiate a Johnny-Carmen wedding, but fans ignore that Bobby wasn't happy with Johnny for blowing him and Robby off. Silver can see the Johnny-Robby situation for what it is: that Johnny screwed up Robby. Kreese even told Johnny that he should have been with his "real" son. Bobby would definitely not blindly support Johnny's behavior as is. Bobby also didn't approve of drunk Johnny disrupting his sermon. He wouldn't have approved of Johnny's dumbass drunk move at the end of s5. Bobby would encourage Johnny to work on himself and his behavior with Robby. In s3, Bobby had Johnny promise himself that he would do positive things, be a better person, and do the right thing because it's the right thing to do. Johnny didn't keep that promise. Johnny at the end of s5 is worse than at the end of s3.

Robby needs at least one consistent supportive adult, and so far, none of the adults have been that. Bobby would be a great support system for Robby. Bobby has a history with Johnny, but would still put Johnny in his place. Bobby did this act of kindness for Robby, so Robby knows of him now and knows his kindness. Bobby is also not involved in the dojo war. For Robby's story and the story overall to be complete, Robby's side of the story has to be told, which Bobby can also help do.

It's the last season, and it would be thoroughly disappointing if Bobby didn't make an appearance again. If Bobby is in s6, I would like to think that Rob Thomas himself wouldn't want Bobby to just overlook everything that is wrong with the Johnny-Robby situation and cheer on a wedding for a man who clearly needs help and who continues to traumatize his son. (Besides, in an interview, Hayden was dismissive of the idea of Johnny and Carmen getting married. Makes sense, cause nothing in the story indicates that the baby plotline (aka the "Johnny screwing up another kid" plotline) or the toxic blended "family" are part of Johnny's endgame. Johnny and Robby's story has to conclude now, and the baby plot device was obviously used to place Johnny at the top with everything to lose and Robby at the bottom with nothing to lose, including himself (which he gave up to appease Johnny after hearing the baby news). s6 will be Act 3, the final stretch of Johnny's redemption story. Robby is the person that Johnny has wronged the most overall and throughout the series. Now is the point in the story that Johnny gets the wake-up call he needs (and should have gotten a long time ago, honestly). Johnny's redemption will only come if he make things right with and for Robby.)

i hope ur having a great day !! would u be able to write a professor turo x reader (romantic and fluffy) one shot where they work in the lab together and one day the reader asks him about arven, and while he gets a little defensive, it’s that event that causes him to reach out to his son and mend their relationship :) maybe reader even gets to meet arven and it’s just overall fluffy ? it’s okay if not, i totally understand !!

"The second Miraidon's aggression grows more by the day...its territorial disputes with the first are getting out of hand. To quell its ferocity, [y/n] and I will be running tests..."

As Turo muttered to himself while logging today’s events, you were currently cleaning the exterior of a Shiny Iron Bundle, who was your personal lab assistant.

Being down in Area Zero for so long had its perils, but you’ve grown accustomed to life here. And with Turo you always felt safe, even if he did some rather...questionable things.

Such as bringing futuristic Pokémon into the present and obsessing over how to integrate them into the Paldean ecosystem.

That time machine worked wonders; though perhaps it worked a little too well considering it’s now automatically catching them, overcrowding the caverns. But he wasn’t worried about a thing, as he believed he was getting closer and closer to achieving his goal.

However, that didn’t come without its costs.

With Sada leaving him and all of his assistants--save for you--abandoning the project because of his arrogance and ambitions...those factors certainly tanked his mental health.

If not for you staying by his side and helping him push his ego down a few notches, Arceus only knows what would’ve happened to him.

Even so, there’s rare times when he’d leave Area Zero to go on dates with you. And since you’ve both made a home down here, the only cuddling you’d really do is when he’s dead asleep and physically cannot work until he gets some reast.

But you were okay with that; you've signed up for this. You didn't mind just working as science partners, researching Paradox Pokémon and the possibilities of tomorrow. It was your dream to see this through to the end, too.

What you did mind, however, was when the AI version of Turo suddenly inquired about Arven--a child you didn’t even know he had until this very moment. It made you and Iron Bundle look up in confusion as he walked into the research station.

"Professor, it's been about a month since you've last contacted Arven-"

"Then why don't you call him and tell him how I’m doing?" Turo huffed, not even looking at the AI as he stored the log. "I’m sure he could reach out to me at some point, too..it goes both ways, y’know.”

“You have a son?”

"..oh, did I not mention him?” He looked at you, his gaze softening a little. “Sorry. But yes, Arven’s my boy.”

“Does he go to Uva Academy?” Curious, you rested your elbows on the table.

“Yep. He’s majoring in uh..culinary, I think.”

“Oooh, does he wanna open a restaurant or something when he graduates?”

“....I dunno.” He simply shrugged, suddenly disinterested in any further discussion of his son as he turned back to his work. “How’s Iron Bundle-”

“He’s your only kid and you don’t know what he wants to do with his life?” You blinked, raising an eyebrow. “And also..why order your AI to talk to him? Shouldn’t it be you instead? I think a month is an awful long time not to reach out to him...”

With an exasperated sigh, Turo set down the tablet rather harshly, fully facing you. “Look, it’s not like he can tell the difference between us. I’ve just been very busy with this research. And with it, I’m gonna give him and all of Paldea a bright future! He doesn’t understand it yet, and he might hate me now. But one day it’ll all make sense, and he’ll be thanking me-”

“Hm, for all this chitchat about giving him a bright future..it doesn’t sound like you’re giving him the best present.” You pointed out, unsure of why he was getting so defensive--as if any of this could justify him neglecting his child. “I don’t mean to pry but..do you even know how he’s doing right now? Is he lonely?”

“No. I gave him a Maschiff to raise. It’s a Mabosstiff now and he told me it learned some powerful fairy-type move, so he’s fine.”

“...I’m no psychologist, Turo, but..people can pretend to be fine when they aren’t-”

“Fine, so what do you want me to do, [y/n]?!” His eye twitched as he stared at you, his arrogance springing up once more. “Shutdown the lab?! Erase all this precious data we’ve uncovered?! Send those damn Pokémon back to their own time?!!”

Your Iron Bundle emitted a robotic croon of displeasure, looking sad, though you rubbed its head in reassurance. “It’s okay, buddy. He doesn’t mean that.” You spoke in a low whisper before looking back at your partner, taking a deep breath.

“No, I would never wanna do that, dear.” You calmly answered. “I just...don’t think it’ll kill you to take at least one day off and see Arven face-to-face. We have all the time in the world to work on this project, but..you may not have much time with him.”

“If I may, I am inclined to agree with Professor [L/n].” The AI Turo spoke up. “I could take over your duties while you spend the day with your son. I know you truly want to see him, and not just through a screen.”

“Deli-li-li!” Even Iron Bundle was agreeing, which annoyed Turo heavily as he glared at it. But after a few moments he calmed down, thinking over both of your words.

You made some good points.

Arven could’ve just been lying through his teeth on those video calls.

He could’ve been struggling to make friends, failing his classes, and...who knows what else?

And Turo wouldn’t have suspected a thing because all he could focus on was his research. He promised his boy a better life but...for all he knew, his current life could be a living hell thanks to him.

Was this truly worth neglecting him over?

“..I wanna see him more than anything. I miss him a lot.” His shoulders slumped a bit. “But..I’m just afraid he despises me now. It’s possible he wants nothing to do with me.”

“You don’t know that for sure, Turo. He could be missing you just as much.” You spoke softly, taking his calloused hands into yours. “I know I can’t force you to go, but..will you at least think about visiting him? I’ll double-down on my work here and help your AI if I need to. And I’ll look after the Miraidons..whatever you want me to do, I’ll take care of it.”

He looked up at you, his guilt growing more and more by the second. You never even met his son, and yet....you were so determined to help them mend their relationship.

He just didn’t understand why, nor did he understand why you’d stay with someone as arrogant as him.

But you kept trying.

Maybe..he should try, too.

“I’m sorry..” Sighing, he rested his head on your shoulder, feeling utterly exhausted and conflicted. “I don’t mean to act like such a child. It’s just...difficult being away from this project for even a moment..”

“You have nothing to worry about, hun.” You stroked his hair in comfort, wrapping your arms around him. “It’s not gonna disappear in one night. I promise.”

“.........”

Although he said nothing in response, he did hug you back for a little while, showing that he really did need this. And eventually you both returned to your previous tasks, but Turo kept your words in the back of his mind.

Perhaps..it won’t kill him to at least take one day off.

The next morning, Turo sent Arven a message on his Rotom Phone, explaining that he wanted to arrange a proper meeting near the lighthouse where his old lab was, far from the dangers of Area Zero.

While he was worried about the Miraidons going at each other’s throats, his AI designed a holding pen that’ll contain them separately for the time being. It also suggested that you accompanied your partner so that you both got a break while it managed the time machine and everything else.

You immediately jumped at the opportunity to visit Arven, being so happy you actually hugged it in thanks.

Hopefully neither of you will draw any attention to yourselves, especially not from the media who liked to bug you about the tera crystals and whatnot. Fortunately you had some casual clothes that helped you blend in with the locals, so getting to Poco Path was no trouble.

This wasn’t the time for TV or Internet spotlights, but for a father-son reunion that was long overdue.

By the time you arrived, Arven was already there outside the lab, making a sandwich for his Mabosstiff and him to share, reading a recipe from a book. You saw he wasn’t necessarily a Pokémon trainer given his lack of pokeballs, but he was certainly a talented student who was passionate about his culinary studies.

Turo stood there awkwardly--unsure of how to approach the kid he hasn’t spoken to for an entire month--only to be motivated by a nudge from you and a smirk.

Finally, he found his courage and cleared his throat. “Son?”

Looking up, Arven nearly dropped the toothpick in his hand, clumsily setting it down as he stared at his dad in bewilderment, unable to believe he was standing before him. It looked as though he saw a ghost, mouth slightly agape for a few seconds.

“D...Dad..?”

Turo approached him, seeing Mabosstiff’s equally surprised gaze. “Hello, Mabosstiff. I’ve seen you’ve grown quite a lot. So um...” He turned back to his son. “How’s everything with-?”

“It took you long enough..”

“Huh?” He barely heard Arven’s muttering as he bowed his head, hands clenched into fists. And when he looked back up at the professor, there were tears in his eyes.

“You have a lot of nerve showing up now, y’know. You were down there for an entire month! I almost thought you...y-you...” Yet he fell silent, instead taking a few steps forward.

You suddenly believed this reunion was gonna go horribly wrong in the next few seconds.

Maybe it was a bad idea to push it

Maybe there was a reason Arven never reached back out to him.

Maybe..this bond was beyond repair.

‘If I just made things worse, I’m gonna hate myself-’ You began to think, until you noticed Arven no longer seemed infuriated, but rather..disappointed.

“I-I thought you got hurt or something..I was gonna look for you even though you always told me how “dangerous” Area Zero is.” Sniffling, he rubbed his eyes, before looking up again. “Why were you gone for so long, dad?”

“...there’s no excuse, Arven. I let myself be consumed by my work, and I’m sorry.” Turo bowed his head in shame. “I only have myself to blame for not being there for you. You don’t have to forgive me, but-”

Suddenly, the young boy did something neither of you expected..

He hugged his dad.

Turo was initially frozen in shock, but then he slowly put his arms around him, sighing in relief when he realized Arven didn’t hate him 100%. And here he was..thinking he permanently ruined things between them.

He absolutely didn’t deserve an ounce of forgiveness, yet he was given it anyways.

“You’re still..a bit of a jerk, but the fact you came to visit me shows you still care, and..I-I’ll take that.” Pulling away, Arven wiped the last of his tears away, smiling lightly. “I missed you a lot.”

“And I missed you, too, kiddo. I’m sorry again.”

The touching moment warmed your heart, though you didn’t wanna stare at them the entire time like a werido. So you looked towards the gradually setting sun over the ocean, realizing it was such a lovely view. ‘We gotta leave the crater more often..’ You mused. ‘I miss seeing the sunset..’

“So um..who are you?”

“..oh! Me? I’m [y/n].” Snapping out of your thoughts, you turned back to Arven, shaking his hand with a polite smile on your face. “I work with your father. I figured I’d come meet Paldea’s next best chef.”

“A-Ah..I’m just sticking to sandwiches for now.” He got a bit flustered, huffing as he looked back to Mabosstiff. “I’ve been experimenting with different sandwiches ever since I found out the ingredients can affect encounters with certain Pokémon.”

“I’ve heard of that phenomena. It’s fascinating, yet holds so much mystery.” You nodded in agreement. “Care to tell me more about your findings?”

Arven’s eyes practically sparkled at the question, and he nodded eagerly, leading you towards the picnic table.

While you and him discussed sandwiches, Turo went inside the old lab--where all his research started prior to making his home in Area Zero once he got better funding.

He looked around at all the notes and obsolete equations that he left behind. The main computer was still functional, so he could communicate with his AI if necessary.

But he stopped himself from turning the machine on, shaking his head and silently scolding himself. ‘This is what [y/n] doesn’t want you to do, Turo...just..take a break. For their sake..and for Arven’s.’

It was hard to shake the workaholic part of him away, though he managed to do so as he turned away from the computer, sighing. He couldn’t break his promise, not this time.

And so he left the lab as it was, being greeted by Mabosstiff the moment he stepped back outside. But this time, he was smiling at the hound, realizing his boy raised this dark type well.

You were right. The future could wait.

He had to treasure the present.

Kirishima and y/n have known each other since birth as both of their mothers were friends. They dreamed of the two of them getting along and, in an ideal future, getting married and giving them grandchildren, but it was too early for the last part. They became inseparable and did everything together; They went to the same kindergarten, same high school, and even managed to enter the UA. However, because of y/n "sanation" quirk, she was at another class. But that wasn't an impediment for seeing each other every day. And when she wasn't with Kirishima and his friends, she would be helping on the nursery as part of her training. Her mentor, Recovery girl, always said that she'll take her place when she retired, so y/n needed to work extra hard if she wanted to be able to save heroes' lives during battle.

Kirishima was y/n's number one fan; she was his muse, his rock, and his 'best friend' while for her...he was way more than that. She was in love with her best friend and came with the realisation, at a very young age, that he didn't see her as a potential partner so she kept her mouth shut for all this years, scared of rejection.

However, lately, Kirishima's been more protective than normal; At first, she thought it probably had something to do with the LOV's recent attack, but certain actions made her think otherwise...

The other day, Deku came in with new injuries, and because he was a regular patient, he talked a lot with y/n while she treated his wounds. They became very good friends as she was one of the few who knew of OFA. Kirishima hadn't noticed how close they were till he came in later that day to check on Midoriya and found them siting next to eachother (shoulders touching and being VERY VERY close for his liking) reading and talking about his notes. He was standing at the door annoyed by the scene happening in front of him, and suddenly, a new sensation came with it, one he couldn't put into words, but it felt similar to fear. Of what? He was yet to find out...

He decided enough was enough and entered the room, making his presence known. Izuku might have noticed the intense look Kirishima was giving him cause he tensed and moved a little so his body wasn't touching hers at all; He knew that, even though the redhead was such a great guy, when it came to her, he sure as hell would beat someone up just because that person looked the wrong way (Midoriya has seen it many times). Y/n didn't think much of it as she greeted him with a kiss on the cheek and kept doing some reports that Recovery girl has left for her. After she was done, they left so Izuku could rest, but not before she gave him a quick hug and said their goodbyes. Kirishima was rather quiet all the way to her doorm, and once they arrived, he said 'You are really close with Midoriya, ah?' 'Yes, he's a really nice guy! He comes almost every day so he's my favorite patient by now' His face turned into a frown to that and respond 'Is that so?' He hadn't stopped looking intensibly at her, and it was making the e/c girl nervous. <Why does he sound like he's jealous?> The girl was wondering when suddenly, he grabbed her forearm gently so her body was now facing him. His eyes were no longer on her but the floor, and he whispered 'I don't like you being that friendly with him. I'm supposed to be the one who receives your hugs and the one you tend their wounds of!' He paused for a few seconds and finally looked at her as he continued 'I don't like sharing your attention or you affection. I know it's selfish but lately, when I see you with others, it hurts and it annoys me...I feel kind of left out and I don't like it one bit' Someone would of assumed this 'sensations' Kirishima was having were of pure jealousy or envy because of the threaten of her finding someone else and that this might have been his confession but no. He's convinced himself, and her, that it was his mission as a 'big bro' that he needed to be sure the guy she settled for was a nice one. That night, both of them went to sleep with a huge weight of their hearts. Y/n because she realized that nothing has changed and that she'd always be his friend no matter how cute she dressed or how mature she acted, she'd never be his first option. As for him... He felt his chest tighten at the thought of her being with some other dude.

The next few days, he did everything in his power to not let Midoriya or any other of his friends near y/n, but he couldn't control everyone for too long, could he? It wasn't long enough until UA most handsome guy, had to pay a visit to the nursery and even took the chance to invite her to endeavors agency to work with them. She was very excited to tell him about what happened and that she accepted their offer, but Kirishima had to pretend that he was happy when he actually was feeling sad)?

Since then, mister cute face has spent too much time with her and did everything together; from eating lunch to going on missions alone and then having dinner at his house (Midoriya and Bakugou were there too but still) The redhead was going crazy to say the least. However, he began to wonder if these emotions were similar to the ones a brother would have for his little sister or more like a boyfriend would have for his girl. The word 'jealousy' came along with those thoughts and so he understood why he got so annoyed and anxious whenever she was with someone else or how worried he got by just the idea of her having a boyfriend or even marrying someone; marrying someone who wasn't him. He was in love with her! All this time, he actually thought he was doing the right thing by being protecting her from praying eyes but he was just keeping her to himself instead. He realized how mistaken he had been and needed to make his intentions clear for her even if she rejected him. He just needed to find the right time

(A few days later)

Mitsuru: I’m back~! Freshly baked bread is waiting for me!

Aira: Ufufuu. There were lots of delicious looking breads. I’m looking forward to eating it now……♪

That bakery had a good selection. I might go back in the future♪

Mitsuru: Ehehe, I’m happy you like it. I’m glad I invited Ai-chan!

Aira: Tenma-senpai bought a lot of bread, but will you be able to eat all that?

Mitsuru: It’s alright! Actually, I’m not going to eat a lot. After all, this is my reward for working hard on my book report!

Aira: Book report, huh… Now that I think about it, I got homework today too.

What did you read and write your report on?

Mitsuru: I read the short story Hajime-chan chose for me. I asked him to choose the simplest content possible.

Aira: Hmmm…… Is this the book Shino-senpai chose?

I wonder if Shino-senpai would be able to recommend a book to me if I asked him. I’ll talk to him later♪

Mitsuru: More importantly, Ai-chan, let’s eat the bread quickly- it’s getting cold!

Aira: This is a rough design of a costume, huh. Uwah, it’s awesome to be able to see Kagehira-senpai’s designs!

And this costume is something new that hasn’t been put on display by Valkyrie before……

Could it be that this costume is the one that’ll be used at the next Valkyrie live?

Mika: Ah, sorry fer makin’ ya look forward to it. This costume isn’t going to be worn at a live. This is somethin’ I drew to wind down.

See, I heard about a novel the other day. Using the story from that time as a reference, I came up with a good design and sketched it.

Aira: Novel? What are you talking about?

Mitsuru: You’re talking about the story where Mika-ni~chan became a god, right?

Aira: Eh!? What do you mean Kagehira-senpai became a god?

Mika: Ahaha…… Actually, there was a novel that got popular on the internet where I got made into a god.

Aira: There’s really a novel like that!? Uwah, I must have missed it.

Mika: Ahaha, well, it’s a derivative work written by a fan.

I read up on it too. In the end, I was embarrassed at being treated like a god.

Seriously, why did they give me a fancy name like “Ougonten” and turn me into a golden dragon?

What kind of thinkin’ did they have to come up with the idea of turnin’ me into a dragon?

Aira: Heeh, Kagehira-senpai turned into a golden dragon……

Hm? The golden dragon, “Ougonten”……

Mika: What is it, Shiratori-kun?

Aira: Um, wait a sec. Now I’ve got something I really wanna look into……

Mitsuru: What is it, Ai-chan!? You look really pale. Are you sick?

Aira: No, I just realized something’s wrong……

Um, did you mention that Kagehira-senpai is a golden dragon named “Ougonten”……?

Mika: Yeah, but… What’s goin’ on?

Aira: —Kagehira-senpai, I’m sorry!

W-Well…… I may have been the one to start calling Kagehira-senpai “Ougonten!”

Mika: Eh!? Then, you’re the one who wrote a novel about me as a god, Shiratori-kun?

Aira: I didn’t write a novel! But, I just posted my impressions of “The Mechanical God” on SNS!

At that moment, Kagehira-senpai was so divine. The money you were scattering looked like dragon scales……

Then, out of excitement, I thought ‘That’s the dragon god~!’ and I gave you the name “Ougonten.”

Mika: S-So that’s what happened. By the way, why did ya call me “Ougonten?” It’s such an exaggerated name.

Aira: Well, talking about the god of money, that’s Daikokuten, isn’t it? A slight modification of that is “Ougonten.”

At that time, Kagehira-senpai was shining with all the money you had!

Mika: Now that I think about it, when I talked to ya earlier, ya expressed similar feelings.

I get it. The impressions that Shiratori-kun posted back then was what started it all.

Aira: Yes. That’s why…… I’m sorry I made you feel bad!

Mika: Ya don’t gotta apologize. I’m not that bothered by it anymore.

Aira: R-Really?

Mika: Yep. It was because of yer words that I was able to draw this costume design.

That experience gave me a lotta inspiration, and I’ve come up with a bunch of creative ideas~♪

Aira: That’s a relief~. I was wondering what I would do if I did cause trouble for Kagehira-senpai……

Mitsuru: Hey hey, MIka-ni~chan. Why don’t you show that costume design to Anzu-ne~chan?

Mika: Eh, show this to Anzu-chan? But I just drew this design for fun.

Mitsuru: It’s such a good design that it’d be a waste to leave it as is!

Aira: That’s right! Isn’t the reason you showed us the design because you wanted someone to see it?

Mika: …… That’s true. Right, maybe it would be better to show it off.

But if I’m going to show it to Anzu-chan, there’s some parts I want to be a little more elaborate on. I need to improve the quality even more, so even Oshi-san can see it.

Mitsuru: Oh, as expected of Mika-ni~chan. That costume is gonna be so cool, isn’t it?

Aira: I’m excited to see what kind of design it’ll be♪ Please be sure to show me when it’s done.

Mika: Of course! Thanks for having my back, you two.

Nother HC/AU ramble about these two under the cut

Since these two basically have nothing about them it leaves me all the room I want to ramble about what I think their relationship would be✨

As I said in my original HC post, these two start off as rivals, Insomniac re challenging Samurai to a fight when he lost his winning streak to the new guy (Samurai) n got salty. Being they fought half drunk in a night club, things eventually got out of hand and a sword stab to a generator later both got electrocuted, messing up their heart beats. This put them as the perfect candidates for the new rhythm doctor program and what put them in the first chapter.

Samurai was fine when the program was used on him, but Insomniac’s much more effected heart beat (this is what you get for wearing no armor) ended up causing the development of the virus. It’s hard to explain but basically the rhythm doctor program’s ticking of the beats going down the line was Ai doing so and the Insomniac’s heart beat corrupted it into only following the extreme- creating the virus that separated itself from the original program. It’s not really malicious! It’s just trying to get people to follow the beats it was taught.. being really fucked up and possibly deadly beats but beats nonetheless.

Anyways, after Insomniac and Samurai got taken care of, Samurai continued having mild relapses each day, steady and predictable. Insomniac instead ended up stuck with extreme episodes that would appear in sudden bursts, first of these showing up in X-1N where future ones will likely only get worse as the virus Ai conforms more to being insane as he has episodes. A cycle of oh no.

In the meantime they have their own time to hang out n meet the other patients. Samurai being in the west for the first time has him curious about everything and everyone, just wanting to be a part of whatever was happening. Insomniac chose to be distant from the others to continue focusing his time on training but still had to get Samurai sometimes if he wanted to spar with someone. He always had some group with him, usually Logan and Hailey, on weekends it be Cole and Nicole. Insomniac doesn’t mind Cole n Nicole, they don’t bother him much and if they did have a question they weren’t dumb. The kids on the other hand he was probably exploding in his mind if they interrupted to ask if they could touch the sword.

Samurai and Insomniac also share a room for the sake of space and sparing. The only language they both know is English but it’s both their second language so most conversations are simple and dependent on their tone. Insomniac always talks about training or honor but Samurai is much more interested in talking about the new things he’s learned or discovered. Insomniac has been in the west for a few years now so can’t help but find it a bit childish and his demeaning view of Samurai isn’t helped when he finds out he’s not a fighter for his family or honor but just. Likes to sword fight. (insert “stop having fun” img here)

After X-1N, Insomniac was pretty shaken up to say the least. Without anyone else to open up he decided to be vulnerable and talked a bit about life to Samurai. Insomniac wondering what Samurai’s personal propose was if wasn’t fighting for anything. Samurai simply corrected Insomniac, he was fighting for something, his own fun and joy of experiencing life. Sword fighting just being one of his favorite deep outlets of this. Despite it being a bit corny and being said as Samurai was failing but continuing some crochet he wanted to learn, it did strike a bit of a cord with Insomniac.

Slowly Insomniac opened up to the others, placating the curiosity of the kids a bit, going to the cafe n trying the tea there while also teaching Nicole how to make some specialty ones he can make, and eventually when Samurai was talking about learning baseball, Insomniac took initiative and asked to join him. Samurai n Insomniac were finally able to come to a understanding with how the other thoughts and worked.

Now then that’s all I’m gonna write for now. Iv got more but I gotta cook in the brain some more. Thnak for reading

We're getting Rika and Poppy in Masters before our boy Arven, that MUST mean they are plotting something big with him right? RIGHT??

There's no way they don't put him in at all, he was voted best character in 2022, he's extremely popular... And I'm wondering if they are going to release him together with Sada and Turo (the human ones, pulled from a timeline right before they die... We already have alternate timeline Lysandre and Rose so really anything goes), maybe with a little story event connected to him.

And that puts him in an interesting position, because he will have to come from either the Scarlet or Violet timeline.... They gave Nemona the Scarlet uniform and most media shows Arven in the Violet uniform, so it could be interesting to have Nemona reference events from a Scarlet timeline (if she comes from post game like most characters seem to do) while Arven is getting confused because "What do you mean my MOM??? I??? Don't even know who she is???"

However it happens, he's basically going to have ANGST with one of the professors while going "And who the fuck are YOU?" to the other.... While BOTH professors will come from "their" timeline where they had him as a son and didn't leave.

So much potential ANGST please Masters do iiiit

Also I hope they give him the "Complicated family" theme skill because it would be darkly hilarious.

(My copium dream is the three of them get a unique theme skill called something like "Paradoxical family" since they literally can't exist as all three together in the same timeline)

(Also they could have the AI Profs too.... Which makes it a bit sad for them, they wanted their big adventure in the past/future but Hoopa said nooope you are coming to Pasio now!)

Hey, sorry, weird question, but what happened with Reddit and Westworld? Did the creators of Westworld change something about the show's future storylines because a redditer guessed what was going to happen?

So Westworld had a gigantic audience of 12 million, and it's surprising because this was HBO's attempt for a new tentpole franchise when Game of Thrones was going downhill.

A subreddit spawned, I was in it as a viewer capacity and there was a lot of speculation. Star Ward level of speculation. Which is good , if your show is good, you want them engaged.

So a bunch of redditors had guessed ( Spoilers) that Ed Harris was playing the Current version of Man in Black, and Jimmy Simpson was the younger version of Man in Black , William. That they were the same character.

And that's because the first season was actually beautifully crafted. Including one scene where Younger William enters the park for the first time, and debated choosing a Black or White cowboy hat. This is a simple storytelling device, character is nice, naive, believes in the good in the world, circumstances makes him lose that humanity. Then it made sense for William to be MIB, wearing the black cowboy hat. But until you saw the entire series it could be brushed off. But once you saw it, it made so much sense.

This is during the height of GOT, Star Wars when speculation and the need for twists and turns were paramount. Felt like you needed to outsmart the viewers if you want to be a good showrunner.

During that time, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy have an interview to an audience, which they said things in a joking manner. But in the age of digital social media, things go fast. Especially if it's only a text blurb and people didn't see the actual clip

Turns out to be a tongue in cheek joke. But the damage was done and it spread everywhere.

They also decided to do a prank to reveal the all the spoilers of season 2, turns out they made a rickroll video to Redditors as a light-hearted joke.

With that said, season 2 started but there was a lot of thing that seemed off in the show, it started to get even more conveluted.

Multiple spanning timelines. The show also started to get more and more philosophical. Because the show is about Robots ( Hosts) , you never know if a character is a robot as well. So that could feel like a cheap gimmick.

Also it's not only focused on Westworld anymore, it spanned outside to the real world , making a show called Westworld...not Westworld ( even though the Old Westworld movie had multiple theme park sections as well)

I also worked in Marketing, I also want to take the hunch, that General Audience ( Not the hardcore Human Philosopher/ai/spirit/High Art viewer ) wanted to just watch Robots vs Humans and the drama surrounding that, not get too deep in the human subconscious.

But the showrunners made it felt they added twists and turns so much, maybe to outsmart said Redditors? ( As I said, joke or not right?) That the general audience started to be confused and lost interest

The show then went from season 1 with a staggering of 12 million viewers, to season 4 measly few million. And this is HBO rolling the red carpet for Nolan and Joy.

I feel, if you're a showrunner, you need to be careful because anything you say will be dissected and spread like wildfire, and sometimes written articles don't convey tone, especially if it's a joke, that click bait newest and even well known journals can run with. This you can clearly see if you are part of the Marvel fandom.

All of this is sad because Westworld season 1 was so beautifully crafted and written. But because of all of this, as a viewer, you're left wondering if Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy were genuinely trying to craft a twist because the story needed it, or done it for the shock and confuse viewers even more.

This is why I am a bit worried about the TV Fallout Series because they are the executive producers and also Nolan directed some episodes.

This is also why there is so many similar vibes to Westworld, especially MIB to The Ghoul, Dolores Abernathy to Lucy Maclean and so on as I posted on my Tumblr

Both Fallout and Westworld had the gaming aspect where your character could choose to be good, mid , or evil. As Westworld, humans can go in to just explore an enchanting Western theme park, but some are deviants and they go there to unleash their deepest desires.

The only hope I have is that Fall Out is a franchise, they have rules and lore.

Then again Star Wars had rules and lore but they retconned and brought back dead characters just for reusing legacy characters to make more money...

So yeah just my two cents 🥴

ai kazuichi au 👀 (i mentioned this au before in my soudam week entries)

ai kazuichi exists inside of the digital world as an observer, like chiaki, and is programmed to look after his classmates and to act like the real life ultimate mechanic in the real world

once Gundham and the other students are inside of the Neo World Program, gundham's starting to crush on the mechanic as days on the island pass by :0

tbh whether or not this takes place during the killing game (angst potential!) or island mode (fluff potential! + everything goes somewhat smoothly for them!) is up to you bc i love your creativity! :D

This can go many ways, but I’m gonna go angst and make the world burn by having the reason there’s both AI’s is because both Chiaki and Kazuichi died and that actually sends the class to Despair. Or at least….they thought both died.

He was actually just on the cusp of death when Izuru went to their “game of death” and Izuru felt a deep, instinctive desire to help. Maybe Hajime wasn’t completely lost from the Hope Project, but the young mechanic has been in a coma off and on for two years. He’s horribly disfigured and his body aches so bad he can’t work on large machines ever again and he has about 2/3 of his remaining lung capacity so he’s winded a bit more easily. Not to mention his left arm…or lack of. But he gets a cool replacement like Nagito so it’s all good!

AI Kazuichi and AI Chiaki was crafted partially by Kazuichi it was mainly created by Izuru because I like to think the smidge of Hajime within Izuru at the time made the AI so he could fulfill his dream of being a classmate with his best friend slash femme crush. Kazuichi sadly can’t do much and the Future Foundation keep him close because him being on the island is dangerous in his condition. He made the AI version of himself to be less of a hot mess and to be more open to Gundham who he has realized he wanted to be really be good friends with.

Meanwhile in the NWP, Gundham finds AI Kazuichi more warm and receptive to him and the two get closer. Like they actually get along and interact more, which subconsciously makes the breeder happy because somewhere in his mind he remembers they were “rivals” for Sonia. And now they’re almost besties with Sonia and are actually enjoying their time together.

And maybe real Kaz is living vicariously through the AI as the two grow closer and they start to dance around the idea of being in love. It effects him a lot, because he wonders what could have been if he didn’t let his insecurities get in the way and if Junko hadn’t fucked them all over.

When the killing game starts, Kazuichi demands to be there in person in case something happens when he reality he wants to try to prevent Junko’s plan while also being their personally to mourn Gundham in case they fail. He realizes too late he was in love with the breeder all along and now it feels like it’s too late to do more than mourn for his conscience and soul.

When the game ends, he has to explain to Hajime, Akan’s, Fuyuhiko and Sonia what actually happened to him and Chiaki and how he wished it was Chiaki who lived instead of him. The five work hard to get the others free, with Kazuichi forcefully taken somewhere else to rest and not risk his health but it makes him spiral into depression. When Gundham wakes up, I like to think he seeks him out and what happens happens.
