im sorry im on a roll today with these aus but-

ai kazuichi au 👀 (i mentioned this au before in my soudam week entries)

ai kazuichi exists inside of the digital world as an observer, like chiaki, and is programmed to look after his classmates and to act like the real life ultimate mechanic in the real world

once Gundham and the other students are inside of the Neo World Program, gundham's starting to crush on the mechanic as days on the island pass by :0

tbh whether or not this takes place during the killing game (angst potential!) or island mode (fluff potential! + everything goes somewhat smoothly for them!) is up to you bc i love your creativity! :D

This can go many ways, but I’m gonna go angst and make the world burn by having the reason there’s both AI’s is because both Chiaki and Kazuichi died and that actually sends the class to Despair. Or at least….they thought both died.

He was actually just on the cusp of death when Izuru went to their “game of death” and Izuru felt a deep, instinctive desire to help. Maybe Hajime wasn’t completely lost from the Hope Project, but the young mechanic has been in a coma off and on for two years. He’s horribly disfigured and his body aches so bad he can’t work on large machines ever again and he has about 2/3 of his remaining lung capacity so he’s winded a bit more easily. Not to mention his left arm…or lack of. But he gets a cool replacement like Nagito so it’s all good!

AI Kazuichi and AI Chiaki was crafted partially by Kazuichi it was mainly created by Izuru because I like to think the smidge of Hajime within Izuru at the time made the AI so he could fulfill his dream of being a classmate with his best friend slash femme crush. Kazuichi sadly can’t do much and the Future Foundation keep him close because him being on the island is dangerous in his condition. He made the AI version of himself to be less of a hot mess and to be more open to Gundham who he has realized he wanted to be really be good friends with.

Meanwhile in the NWP, Gundham finds AI Kazuichi more warm and receptive to him and the two get closer. Like they actually get along and interact more, which subconsciously makes the breeder happy because somewhere in his mind he remembers they were “rivals” for Sonia. And now they’re almost besties with Sonia and are actually enjoying their time together.

And maybe real Kaz is living vicariously through the AI as the two grow closer and they start to dance around the idea of being in love. It effects him a lot, because he wonders what could have been if he didn’t let his insecurities get in the way and if Junko hadn’t fucked them all over.

When the killing game starts, Kazuichi demands to be there in person in case something happens when he reality he wants to try to prevent Junko’s plan while also being their personally to mourn Gundham in case they fail. He realizes too late he was in love with the breeder all along and now it feels like it’s too late to do more than mourn for his conscience and soul.

When the game ends, he has to explain to Hajime, Akan’s, Fuyuhiko and Sonia what actually happened to him and Chiaki and how he wished it was Chiaki who lived instead of him. The five work hard to get the others free, with Kazuichi forcefully taken somewhere else to rest and not risk his health but it makes him spiral into depression. When Gundham wakes up, I like to think he seeks him out and what happens happens.

Hey. So, I saw your Chiaki & Fuyuhiko comic that I like to call "Look on the Bright Side" (since it didn't have an official name in the post itself), and I loved it. I loved seeing Nanami & Kuzuryu interact with each other with the former comforting the latter on Peko and complimenting on how brave he was to save his friend, the scene between Fuyuhiko & Peko during the latter's execution, and then the scene of you making a throwback to your DR3 rewrite from your Talky Talky Tuesday content where the DR2 cast witness Human Chiaki's death and chose not to help her because of how awful Junko's influence on them was. It was heartwarming, bittersweet, and terrifying all at the same time, and as @/self-in-dulled-gent put it in their reblog of the comic, the 4th & 5th panels depicting your DR3 rewrite is a cool and visceral indication of how far the DR2 cast had fallen into despair. Heck, both the comic & the rewrite even serve as inspiration towards my au/rewrite/reimagine of DR3's Despair Arc & how Junko corrupts the DR2 cast into despair. So, thank you so much for the inspiration. I really appreciate it.

With all that in mind, I have some questions I wanna ask you regarding both the comic & DR3 rewrite, if you don't mind.

May I have your permission to do a review on your DR3 Rewrite post for my Advian Reads & Reviews content (which in case you're curious about, AR&R is reading review series where I read something, like fanfiction for example, while also doing a review on it at the same time, giving my thoughts on whatever I'm reviewing as well as potentially even sharing my own stories)?

Will you ever showcase the bonus panel of the rest of the class witnessing Chiaki's death that you mentioned in the comic's tags?

Who is the 5th person on the right between Kazuichi & Hiyoko in the 4th panel (I'm assuming it's Sonia based on the hairstyle, but I thought I'd ask for some confirmation)?

Will we ever get to see the dialogue of Chiaki not resenting Hajime/Izuru for not helping her you also mentioned in the comic's tags?

Follow up on that previous question, do you think it's possible that we might also get to see if Chiaki resents her classmates for not helping her, or if she would also get it with them like she did with Hajime/Izuru?

How exactly does Junko kill Chiaki in front of her classmates? Does she still have her go through her execution like in canon, or does she kill her in a different way, and if so, then how? I ask because I saw Nanami had blood coming from her eyes & mouth (making it look like Junko literally pulled her eyes out), there's blood on her hoodie & left thigh, and she appears to have been stabbed on her right side.

And those are my questions. In regards to gaining your permission to review your DR3 rewrite, if you do grant permission, great! I'll be sure to credit you and give you a shoutout too if you do. 1: sure! Just know that I'm like, you know, just a fan and a hobbyist and not even really a writer so I'm not saying my rewrite is more right than anything else!

2: the bonus panel was actually everyone else's deaths (in SDR2) since they all sort of died alone, too. But it didn't feel relevant enough, I prrrrrrrrobably don't have the sketch anymore

3: yep that's Sonia

4: I'll be totally real i don't remember what I was thinking there at all. Sssssorryyyyyy

5: I think Chiaki, if she got to see the events of SDR2 as the AI, wouldn't resent her classmates so much as feel sorry for them and be disappointed. At the same time though I think she might be shocked at what they're capable of. Maybe she can't help but be a bit bitter, who knows. Hajime/Izuru is a different deal since that guy literally got his brains scrambled, can't really blame him. (sort of like deleting all the save data, maybe?)

6: the blood and amounts of it was more about the drama lol. But I thought the obstacle was like, a little too fantastical, not serious enough, so in my rewrite she straight up beats Chiaki to death with some kind of instrument. I think the image of Junko doing something so realistic (and slow) while everyone watches passively is even worse.

I’ll mainly do x reader or character x character

I’m alright with smut, but if you request it I may not get to writing it since I’m really iffy about what characters I’ll write with it

I will only write for the fandoms I am in or have been in. Depending on which one you request, it might take longer to get to depending on my current interest in said fandom

I can write both headcanons (scenarios? imagines? not sure what to call them honestly-) or one shots if you wish! Headcanons will be much faster for me to do and will be my default, however if you specifically want me to do a one-shot just tell me in your request!

gah!! im having more trouble choosing which canon-divergent au to write (T_T)

soudam ultra despair girls (in this case, boys) au

this is a canon divergent au where kazuichi isn't a remnant like his classmates and, like komaru, spent his days during the tragedy in his room in solitude until he ends up coincidentally meeting remnant!tanaka when he finally escapes his confinement.

since kaz is clueless and is more than relieved to having seen his classmate again after a long time, he doesn't suspect tanaka and they team up.

tanaka, as a remnant, has his own motives in helping kazuichi but gradually stops and begins to genuinely care for him and eventually loses his despair-

I know the algebraic expression of L-O-V-E [Kamunami/Hinanami & Yandere!Chiaki] - Chapter 7

Disclaimer: This is an AU in which the Chiaki AI got at least partially infected by the Junko Virus. This is what makes her become a Yandere and a bit out of character. This AU also entails Hajime and Izuru becoming more of a DID-System, instead of fusing into one person. The main difference, compared to the real illness, is that they can switch out consciousness at will. Also, major spoilers and canon divergence ahead. You have been warned.

Chapter 7

After Hajime brought the news to Kazuichi, he still had his doubts, but was excited to work on a new project instead of dismantling and putting back together the same few scraps of metal. “Give or take three days to a week, then I’ll let you know, and you do the software part. I don’t know the details, but a USB-C drive will probably do.”

The week ahead was spent with Chiaki and Hajime chatting the days away. Both fantasized about the possibility of them being back together soon. “You know, Chiaki? I think I’ve always had at least a crush on you. I was just too stupid to notice. So, I’m glad things turned out like this now.”

“Me too, Hajime. It’s just, I never had a chance to confess. But everything will change once I’m out of this machine and right next to you in the physical world.”

As soon as their hands touched on the screen, Kazuichi was calling for Hajime’s help from the outside.

“Hey, could you give me a hand? Imma tryin’ to get this thing through the door and it’s quite heavy.” Yelling, as Hajime held the door open for the young mechanic. “I tried making her as human-like as possible, but metal is still much heavier than bones and flesh, so don’t bother me, when she squishes you underneath her weight.”

Placing the artificial body inside the room, it looked no different than the Chiaki they both knew. “It’s one of my finest works, I’m proud of how it turned out. A real gem.” Kazuichi announced leaning against the machinery with a cocky grin.

Hajime couldn’t even contain his excitement. Even if it was just a robot, it felt so real. The skin; The hair; Everything. Even while the body was still lifeless, it was without a doubt, Chiaki.

“Hello, earth to Hajime?” Kazuichi waving a hand in front of his face, Hajime snapped out of it. “Oh, yeah sorry. Well, I better get started uploading the software. Thanks a lot for your hard work, Kaz. I knew I could count on you.”

“Yeah, yeah. Just be careful and don’t spill anything over her. I leave the rest to you.” Scratching his cheek and giving Hajime a high-five on his way out. “I don’t wanna interrupt a heartfelt reuining, so I better get going now. See ya around, Hajime.” Taking a last quick glance at the AI, before removing himself from the scene entirely.

“Izuru, could you help me? You wrote this program after all, you should know how to compromise it properly and upload it into the body, right?”

“Have I ever at any step said, that I’d help you with this stupid plan of yours?” Was the instantly defeating answer of his.

“You know, I can’t do it alone. The risk of something going wrong is higher when I do it.”

“Then don’t. Leave her in this state. It is good enough.”

“You’re a real jerk, you know that?”

No response.

“If you refuse to help, I gonna figure it out on my own. Kazuichi said any hard drive will be good enough, so just watch me.”

And Izuru was watching with a heavy sigh and a shaking head.

Through all the scrap laying around, he managed to dig up a hard drive Makoto had left last time he was here. “Now let’s check if it’s empty.”

“Hey, Chiaki. How big is your file size?”

“Exactly 4.2GB. Izuru wrote me efficiently, given all the features I have.”

Checking the drive, it had more than enough free space, despite some files already being on it.

“Alright, here goes nothing. I suppose I must close you first, then display your code. As I’m not really Izuru, I dunno how to access your files. Would you mind doing so for me?”

“Yep. Next time, I open my eyes, I will be in your world. I can’t wait, I’m so excited.”

Chiaki reassured and guided him through the process, as much as she could. His sweaty hands were shaking over the keyboard, but somehow, he managed to pack her up in an executable file with an automatic driver.

However not really in the most elegant way. A few scrap-files were transferred as well, but a bit of rubbish would be fine, it wouldn’t blow up the file size in any way that it’d matter. In the end, Hajime didn’t fully know what he was doing anyways and for the most part, Chiaki did all the work.

“Where to plug it in…?” Turning red all over, as he thought about possible spots. “N-no, he couldn’t have. No. He may be a pervert, but he’d never… Right?!” Looking away in shame, he lifted the skirt the robot body was wearing.

No panties. “Gaaah- Hajime, get it together.” Slapping his cheeks, as he let go of the fabric immediatly. “It must be on the head somewhere, right?” Walking around her once, he indeed found a USB port on the back of her neck.

“There!” Ripping out the hard drive without properly ejecting it, he was too excited to care for that and immediately plugged it into her neck.

“Now for the power-switch…”

While searching the body thoroughly, Izuru decided to give him one final warning.

“This is your last chance to stop whatever you are doing.”

“I know. Shut up.” Silencing him.

“I will take no responsibility for whatever happens next.”

“I didn’t ask you to.”

“This could end in you and all your friends getting killed. I will not stop her or whatever virus has nested within her.”

“Or this could bring us all hope, happiness, and a lost classmate back. I know you have a thing for the dark and gritty, but I won’t let your pessimism hold me back any longer.”

“Very well if that is your final decision. The power-button is located above her chest. Anything that happens from here on out, is solely on you.”

Not wasting a second, he turned on the robotic body, as her eyes opened, glowing in a bright pink light. She sounded no different than a booting PC, as the data from the hard drive installed. Then a few seconds of silence, a quick restart. Her mechanical eyelids began blinking, as she came to life.

“Hajime! Thank you for getting me out of that electronic prison.” The familiar voice said way less enthusiastic than Hajime had hoped for. “Eh, no problem. Now we can do all the things you wanted to do. Why don’t we start by taking a stroll around the beach?”

23. Future headcanon

For Makoto, I’m sure he’s happily married to Kyoko and Byakuya is his willing sugar daddy who’s also secretly married to them (he pays to keep it out of the news though). They have a happy life together, but somewhere down the road, Makoto goes a bit crazy from the pressure and trauma of everything and starts to enforce Hope as much as Despair.

Sorry. I just love dark Makoto AUs. But ignore that part and I’m sure he’s being the best boy he can be while having a lot of happiness with his friends and his life.

With Hajime, he returns to Jabberwock Island and starts to work with his classmates and friends to redeem themselves and help rebuild the world. Eventually where we left off with him and Nagito turns from talking about their issues to love and understanding and they are finally in a happy relationship with one another. Looking toward the future they’ve created together, they find a scrap of Chiaki’s AI and begin to build a human body for her to realize the world with her friends using Kazuichi’s mechanical skills.

With Komaru, outside of marrying Toko, adopting four kids eventually (you know the ones) and helping to rebuild the world, I’m not too sure what she does beyond that. Oh! Wait! She finally comes together with Toko and the two make a wonderful visual novel together with her manga and visual skills and Toko’s writing!

Why is the love interest so much like Byakuya though…?!

With Shuichi, I imagine that a lot of his ending is like Hajime’s. He looks after Maki and Himiko whilst rebuilding Kiibo and they all seek out to make the world less involved in consumerism and violence. Piece by piece, they’re inspired to kill the legacy Danganronpa has left behind and vow to remake the world into one that refuses to be apathetic to the suffering of others. And maybe one day… they’ll get there. I like to think that they celebrate and mourn on both Kaede’s and Kaito’s birthdays. And on Kokichi’s but it’s Shuichi who sticks around for that one.

Feeling silly so why not all three

Chiaki:

Favorite Thing: I love everything about her. Her design is so cozy and cute, she is so neurodivergent with her hyperfixation on gaming and her accidental bluntness, ahhh I love her!

Least Favorite Thing: The fact that she dies twice, I sob. I also really hate how the fandom portrays her as boring with no personality but that's not a character thing.

Favorite Line: Sobbing while going through Chiaki voice lines but I like "Hey, Hajime... This isn't for the sake of anyone else. You... You have to do this for yourself. Now then! It's about time you show me your cool side, Hajime. C'mon, I'll help out too..." I was looking for a nice quote but found this honorable mention on the Wiki "Apparently Mikan has never played video games before. She's totally missing out on 90% of her life."

BrOTP: Her and Kazuichi, I feel, would be such a fun dynamic as well as her and the other female supports/mains.

OTP: I already mentioned Komahinanami for Hajime so I'm gonna say a different one. I love Sonia and Chiaki as well as Ibuki and Chiaki. Chiaki is just one of those characters that you can put her with almost anyone and I would appreciate it.

NOTP: I don't think I've seen any Chiaki ships that I outright hate? Maybe TeruTeru? We'll go with that one

Random Headcanon: My friend and I have an AU that we've done absolutely nothing with where everyone helps Kaz build a robot to put Chiaki's AI in so she becomes very Kiibo-esque. Just a happy little AU where the world is in peril, but at least she's somewhat alive. Since that's not really a headcanon though I must add that I believe in fat Chiaki supremacy.

Unpopular Opinion: I actually find her to be a super interesting support character. She has the wits and bluntness that Kyoko and Maki have while also being super nice and supportive like Kaede and Komaru.

Songs I Associate Them With: Goodbye To A World by Porter Robinson and I'd Rather Sleep by Kero Kero Bonito (also just a lot of video game music, especially from games like Undertale)

Favorite Picture: Her splash art is super cute! I also love that one scene in the anime where Chisa has her over her shoulder, and she's just lazily waving to Hajime while still playing her game.

Peko:

Favorite Thing: I love Peko! Her talent is super interesting and I love how she has a soft side (plus she gets flustered fairly easily which I find adorable)

Least Favorite Thing: They could've done so much more with her character than they did. The role she plays in the Chapter 1 trial had the potential to be really great with her keeping guard, but instead, she's reduced to a bathroom joke. I was not a fan of the Sparkling Justice thing either. I get it was for a cover-up as well as a reference to her Japenese VA being Usagi from Sailor Moon, but it's meh at best.

Favorite Line: During her introduction where she says she'd rather not kill someone and Hajime points out that her sword is bamboo to which she responds "Though it may seem impossible to kill someone with this, a misaimed blow can be fatal. Well, an aimed blow can be fatal, too."

BrOTP: Gundham and Peko, hands down. I want my secret softies that love animals to be besties, right now! I'm so sad their friendship is only really mentioned in one of her FTEs

OTP: I love love LOVE Pekobuki. Their sun and moon dynamic is so good, and the bonus scene they're in is just chefs' kiss! (Also love Fuyupeko but that has been clearly overshadowed)

NOTP: Again, Teruteru. He just needs to get disciplined a lot before I even consider shipping him with anyone.

Random Headcanon: Chiaki got her hooked on Beat Saber, and now she's a God at it. Fuyuhiko also convinced her to go to therapy (they all should be going to therapy), so she's slowly starting to appreciate herself as her own person.

Unpopular Opinion: I haven't seen any popular opinions that I disagree with. Maybe that her and Fuyuhiko aren't technically siblings since not only were they raised with a power imbalance but Peko mentions a childhood crush in her FTEs that lines up pretty accurately with Hiko. Fuyupeko is a popular ship though so idk how much that counts lolol, I've just seen a lot of people use that against the ship (see them how you want though, no hate)

Songs I Associate With Them: As The World Caves In by Matt Maltese and Killer Queen by Queen

Favorite Image: Look at her. Everyone is so happy because of her! (Also found the gallery image of her and Taka, which I feel is an honorable mention)

Kirumi:

Favorite Thing: She's so patience and kind compared to the absolute chaos in her class. It's nice the see

Least Favorite Thing: I think we all agree that her Prime Minister background is weird at best

Favorite Line: Her screaming, "I WILL NOT DIE!" at the end of the Chapter 2 trial will forever send chills down my spine

BrOTP: I feel like she would get along well with Rantaro and Kiyo if given the chance

OTP: I honestly don't really ship her with anyone

NOTP: Hmm, I'd say maybe Kokichi for this one. It might be the fact that he calls her mom a few times, idk

Random Headcanon: I like to think that she enjoys listening to classical music while working. Just something soothing to keep her focused.

Unpopular Opinion: I don't have any, at least not that I know of

Songs I Associate With Them: Ahh, this one was really difficult for some reason. I think I'll go with My Time by bo en or & by Tally Hall (idk why, purely off vibes here)

Info for the Mastermind Sonia au!

So! Tbh the fun thing about any sdr2 mastermind au is because of all the cannon remnant stuff any of the cast could have easily been the one to fill the mastermind role and it still would have made sense. So I don’t think anything would need to differ from cannon until the last trial.

It was ages ago I was first thinking all this up so forgive me if I’ve forgotten something lol, but here’s how I sort of think it would go.

Everyone in the last trial is trying to uncover the mastermind, and while they’re pretty sure it must be Worldender/Future Foundation, Hajime says for completion's sake they need to go over if any of those in the game could have been doing it (despite the others protests). At the beginning of the game Sonia, Fuyuhiko, and Twogami commanding organizations that could have had the power/influence to run the game was brought up so they’d likely go over that again, but eventually that would turn to who could have actually made everything.

They’ve seen some crazy advanced machinery and cybernetics during the game, monokuma himself is enough of an example for that, so who could have built it all? Out of their class, there’s really only one person with the know-how, and he just so happens to have somehow made it all the way to the final trial despite the odds, isn’t that weird?

Things get very loud and ridiculous as it’s made clear Hajime is basically accusing Kazuichi of being the mastermind. Kaz himself freaking out, Fuyuhiko and Akane rushing to defend him (‘have you seen the limp noodle of a man?? No way could he be the mastermind!!’), and Hajime trying to explain.

Eventually they come up against the biggest hole in Hajime’s theory, that being the why of it. If Kazuichi did this it wouldn’t have been without a reason, and no one can think of a motivation. Not fully sure what makes it finally click yet, but it dawns on Hajime, Fuyuhiko, and Akane that there already is someone on the island they’ve seen that Kazuichi will do practically anything for, without question or complaint.

That’s when Sonia gets to do her big reveal and costume change, proudly declaring that she was the mastermind running things, and everyone else should really start bowing.

Then it’s a lot of monologuing, info like she had her memories the whole time but didn’t give Kazuichi his back until the third trial (explaining why he was so distrustful of Hajime in the funhouse bc who the heck is this guy he wasn’t a remnant or in their class why is he here???), and of course dropping the whole ‘haha you guys are secretly evil too!’ Remnant bomb.

I think that reveal would be much more impactful coming from one of their own, since Sonia and Kaz clearly being so different would add credibility to the claims. Personally I would love if Sonia had enough control on the program to like, snap her fingers and put everyone else in their remnant outfits just to really drive the point home, but that might just be the remnant brain rot talking lol.

Around then is probably when Junko’s AI would have to come on the scene, and shortly after the thh survivors from the future foundation. From that point it probably follows the same Hajime: oh no I’m Izuru Kamakura and talentless everything is terrible forever! Chiaki somehow: no you’re awesome:) Hajime: yay hope! Formula from cannon lol, and the program gets shut down.

That’s what I’ve got so far! There’s still a few things I’m not sure about, like if Sonia should get a full blown execution, or if it would be better to change things earlier on so that Gundham can be in the final trial for maximum emotional affect lol.

How about an AU where Chiaki gets a robot body and Kiibo's helping her get used to it?

I think they would be good friends :)

When Chiaki’s AI was salvaged, she was content with just living in a computer, since that’s basically what she’d done for as long as she’d been sentient. But before a year was out, Kazuichi had constructed a body for her.

She wasn’t so sure at first, though it would allow her to interact with her friends much easier, and she wouldn’t be missing out on group outings anymore. Finally, she decided to try it out.

There was only one other person with a robot body she or Kazuichi knew, and Kiibo was just happy to help her adjust to using her new body, though it came more naturally to him.

It took a while to get used to fine motor movements, but with Kiibo’s help and Kazuichi’s instruction, she was able to eventually get a hang of it. Finally, she started to feel more like she had during the simulation.

She was incredibly glad that Kiibo had helped her with adjusting to her new body, as well as keeping her company as the only other robot she knew. He was a really good friend to her.
