First of all, I hope you know your AU is SO FCKING GOOD I CAN'T STOP HAVING HEADCANONS ABOUT IT (this happens to me when I fixate on something lol).

Anyways the one that I think about the most lately is Ian and Anthony writing songs by themselves during the hiatus. I don't know what their relationship is like in your AU, or whether they had good/bad breakup, but I like to think that they both wrote music that will never see the light of day out of embarrassment.

Some titles for Anthony:

Best Interviewer: about knowing how much he avoids talking and instead lets others do the talking

Birthday Card: about happy (now bittersweet) childhood memories

Quota of Self-Importance: reflecting on his selfishness towards his former friend and co-writer

Nostalgia: about looking back into his old songs and missing more than just the music

Magnifying Glass: sort of The Sun 2.0, although this one will be hidden even from Ian. For all the things that The Sun says (talking about Ian), Magnifying Glass talks about himself as the perfect antithesis, almost as a response to the other song, like two puzzle pieces.

Some titles for Ian:

Compartmentalize: about realizing how much he's hiding and keeping from everyone, even though on the outside he looks put-together

Where Are You: about missing someone. He thinks the song is way more subtle than it is

The President: about having to take control of everything in his professional and personal life now that isn't a part of a duo

Bummer: self-reflecting about the music he's doing on his own, melancholic and devoid of any beauty (or so he thinks)

[REDACTED]: an instrumental. Even he doesn't know what it is about. He just knows it gives him chills when he hears it, but he doesn't know why

Sorry about the rant lmao. I genuinely have an idea about the topic every song in their "Friendship Always Wins" album is, but of course, those are just a theory.

I have wayyy too many ideas for songs in their hiatus lol these are just the ones from the top of my head.

I was wondering if you could provide any recs for stories that show Draco being redeemed with character growth and unlearning all of his biases (also with slow burn Drarry, and Harry starting out disliking him for being canonically terrible)? I have already read all of lettered's and astolat's works, which I really enjoyed as good examples of this.

Hi anon! Ahh yes love me some Lettered and Astolat, especially the fab duo By the Grace & Heal Thyself — both have incredible Draco arcs. I think these 2 stories (and authors) explore the immediate post-war/ Draco redemption combo flawlessly, and it’s really hard to find similar fics. Aideomai focuses on 8th year but is also great at writing young, traumatized and emotionally stunted Drarry navigating the post-war reality and their feelings. Here are some other fics that came to mind:

Life Series Solar System- a Winner's Symbolism Ramble

So we all know the winners of a life series get assigned space motifs, right? We've got sun, stars, and moon solidly covered. What about the planets?

I'm Mleem, I go feral about symbolism in an unscripted block people series, and here's the list of which lifer I would assign to each of the planets. This list does not contain all lifers. I do not have ideas for all lifers. I have planets and I'm a space nerd.

MERCURY- SCAR

All planets but Earth are named after Roman deities. Some domains of the god Mercury include trickery, thievery, and commerce. Sound like anyone? GoodTimesWithScam himself is right at home with all of that. It's also the closest planet to the sun [gestures at desert duo] and its very high temperature seems fitting for HotGuy.

VENUS- SKIZZ

Venus is the goddess of love. Love is stored in the Skizz. He's been the kindest person throughout his series, and puts his love for his friends over all else. Plus, Heart Foundation. Venus as a planet, however, is an extremely brutal and deadly place, just like how Skizz can easily succumb to bloodlust. He may be loving, but he is not harmless.

EARTH- GEM

Gem is extremely associated with nature, with her cottagecore aesthetic being one of the reasons. But Gem also embodies the darker parts of nature- she is deadly and predatory. She is life in all its parts, fitting for our living planet. She's also a great duo with Pearl, our local moon!

MARS- MARTYN

Listen, I know Martyn's cosmic motif is debated, but I really think Mars fits him. First off, his name means "devoted to mars". Secondly, the hand of dogwarts and the victor with the most brutal win works very well with the planet named for the god of war.

JUPITER- IMPULSE

The biggest planet, named for a god of storms and lightning. Electrical impulses, perhaps? True to its name, Jupiter is a stormy planet, with its very well-known Great Red Spot being a storm that never stops. Seems fitting for the guy who never, ever lets a grudge go. Also, fun fact- Jupiter has a nearly identical composition to that of a star. And they're both Scotts.

SATURN- BDUBS

Yes, I know he built the earth, but hang on a second. While Saturn, in Roman mythology, is most well known for. uh. something horrible, he was also the titan of time. Something Bdubs is very, very associated with. Saturn as a planet is known for it's beautiful rings, which. Just feels very Bdubs to me. Maybe it's the canonical marriage in Double Life.

URANUS- JOEL?

This is the one I'm least certain on. The Joel association is mainly vibes, pulling from the fact that Uranus in mythology was a sky god (the first one, before Jupiter showed up) and so was Joel in Empires. But really, it's mostly because he'd find the name funny. Someone had to be it.

Uranus is also sideways. The planet is on its side compared to everything else in the Solar System. This doesn't help the Joel vibes, I just wanted to mention it.

NEPTUNE- LIZZIE

What better lifer for the planet named after the god of the seas, than the Ocean Queen herself? An incredibly distant planet, and a player that hasn't joined many series, Neptune also has a very interesting trait to its orbital path- very rarely, it will cross that of Pluto, making Neptune the most distant. And that brings us to...

PLUTO- JIMMY

Who else but our canary in the coal mine, first to fall all but once, to take the (dwarf) planet named for the god of the underworld. Death, and the underground. Demoted once-planet with cringefail swag, yet still beloved by many. The furthest away from the center of our solar system, and perhaps thats why he's so vulnerable to dying first. Maybe Lizzie and him crossed orbits, and that's why she fell first instead.

what I find fascinating about Finn's, "overcoming homophobia," arc is that at no point in the story does he actually show that he's changed in any real way. in season one, when he's in the basement angrily shouting homophobic slurs at Kurt, we're meant to see this as a moment of growth for him. we're meant to see Burt's, "don't say slurs," speech to him immediately after this as a lesson well paid. we're meant to see him standing up to Kurt's bully the next day as our ultimate proof that Finn Hudson, while incredibly flawed, is an ultimately good person who wants to put in the work to be better. except... that's not what we're actually shown. we're shown Finn beginning that journey, sure, but he never does more than that.

in season two, Sam Evans joins the Glee Club. when Kurt asks Sam to be his duet partner, Finn takes great issue with this. Sam, notably, does not. he's a bit taken aback by Kurt's forwardness, but he's willing and ready to sing with him, because Kurt is talented, and Sam likes him. Finn, however, takes this unconventional duet pairing to mean that Kurt must've forced Sam into a situation that he didn't really want to be in. Kurt doesn't know how to take no for an answer, and yes, Finn was wrong to call him that slur back in season one, but Kurt had a crush on him and he went about it inappropriately at times, so can you really say that Finn was in the wrong? he goes behind Kurt's back to Sam and says, "you can't sing with him; you're both guys." Sam says, "I didn't realize you had a problem with gay dudes." Finn flounders. ultimately, this attempt to break up the duo works. Kurt, worried that maybe he is taking advantage of a sweet, unsuspecting straight boy, backs out of the duet, and Finn leaves the situation not only being proven right, but having further pushed an already bullied and othered kid deeper into ostracization. talk Valentina, I guess.

in season three, Finn stops whipping out his sexy little bag of slurs (for a moment, at least) and trades it in for a savior complex, because guess who comes to the rescue when our favorite lesbian, Santana Lopez, is cruelly outed by one of her supposed friends!

oh, wait? what was that? you said- you said that Finn was the one to out her in the first place? oh, okay, hold on-

Finn was the one to out her in first place! after screaming that she was a coward that needed to come out of the closet in the middle of a crowded hallway during passing period, she's outed to the state of Ohio in a conservative campaign commercial (with a lovely little picture of her attached, in case we accidentally mistook her for a different head cheerleader on Sue Sylvester's cheer squad). this incident is of course treated with the incredible care that it deserves, and Finn immediately apologizes and takes accountability for what he did-

sorry, what was that? oh, he- he didn't do that? okay, give me a second-

actually, no he doesn't! he doesn't do any of that! our favorite queer ally just blackmails Santana into temporarily joining the Glee Club because he thinks that she might kill herself, and he doesn't want her to do that because he lost his virginity to her, and then him and the rest of the Glee Club sing at her about being queer (kind of, they couldn't even do that part right) for a week.

anyway. not to, "the narrative," my way through the rest of this post, but the narrative always tried to frame the events leading up to Finn's actions in a way that allowed him to seem justified when he inevitably did something bigoted. yes, he shouted slurs at a gay kid, but come on, he wasn't solely in the wrong; Kurt was being creepy, and he was coming on to Finn too strongly! yes, he manipulated Kurt into dissolving his partnership with Sam, but he only did it because he wanted to protect Sam from the school's ridicule; and really, Kurt is quite forward. yes, he outed a lesbian in small town, conservative Ohio before she was ready to come out, but she was constantly insulting him and making horrible comments about his appearance and his weight. Finn was consistently allowed to get away with the horrible things that he did to others, specifically queer people, because it could all reasonably be held under the umbrella of, "well, he's still a good person; he's just flawed!" that's the funny thing about being a good person, though; you have to actually be good. Finn was never too great at that part.

I don’t know how Tumblr works but here are some clone designs for my fanfiction Angel of the Iron Battalion!! I just think the 13th battalion are neat and it’s sad that we didn’t get to seen them as actual characters (though very understandable..) so I made them!

Here’s Nyx, our favourite trans (ftm) Commander with about 15 anxiety disorders and a need to protect every child in 50ft distance to him.

Hymn, the guy who met an angel ONCE and has not shut up about it since, to the point that he got their language TATTOOED ON HIS FACE. In love with an Angel girl he saw once that saved his life and he never saw again.

Havock, who thinks the more scars you get, the hotter you are (unfortunately he is right but by god can you stop running into explosions please). Would also protect every child within 50ft distance of him.

Liz, the representation for every obsessed crocheter out there. Has probably made little crochet covers for everyone’s armour by now, even though it’s highly useless. He’s say it keeps them warmer in the cold. Everyone is just too nice to say otherwise.

Fourv, another trans clone (mtf) except she has infinitely better eyeliner game than Nyx. Does she wake up before her shift everyday just to do her killer makeup? Nobody knows. There’s a rumour Brush caught her at it once but she threatened him under penalty of death if he told anyone. Everyone else just believes she came out of the tube with eyeliner pre done.

Lucky, a defective clone that was allowed to join and he makes it everyone else’s problem! As payback for being treated as the precious new shiny, he aims to be the most annoying little shit he possibly can, winning his name through his incredible luck winning games no matter what game he is playing. After winning all of Havock’s credits in a game once, he was banned from partaking in any with cash prizes. He thinks this is highly unfair.

And then Brush and Canvas, the twins! Both dumb as rocks and kind as hell. Brush likes to doodle on literally everything and say a dumb joke every five seconds and his twin Canvas is the more stoic of the duo, if only to save his ridiculous remarks for a time where they’d confuse the most people. Some think he actually puts it on as an act for fun, just because he likes annoying people.

And their battalion symbol! It’s sort of like an egg but also like kintsugi, both of which are very poetic for this specific battalion.

Chapter 5

After being a part of Fairy Tail for almost 3 weeks, Lucy could say she felt happier than she could ever remember.

Since returning from her first job as a Fairy Tail mage two weeks ago, she's managed to find a beautiful apartment on Strawberry Street, with a view of the canal.

It was decently close to the guild and in walking distance to one of Magnolia's best markets.

Plus it had a killer bathtub, and Lucy really couldn't resist. Even if it was pricey, and the landlady was a tad scary.

She managed to talk Natsu into helping her move in with the promise of food. Along with Gray and Happy, who turned out to be a talking, flying blue cat.

No sorry exceed, they were called exceeds.

To say Lucy was shocked when a blue and a white creature flew into the guild and started talking would be an understatement.

She found out that the exceeds had been away visiting family, on the other side of Fiore and that they were Natsu and Wendy's respective friends/companions/partners as far as Lucy could tell.

Happy and Charla were their names, and they were an interesting pair.

She liked both of them, they were cute, with very distinct personalities. Charla- Wendy's white exceed was snobbish but smart and extremely witty, while Happy was a sneaky, fish and gossip-loving goofball.

He and Natsu are also quite the duo, Lucy never seemed to stop laughing around them, though they do tease her as hard as they manage to make her laugh, so it balances out.

When they returned from their job, Lucy started training her magic with the help of a fellow mage named Erza.

Erza Scarlet was a force to be reckoned with, one of the strongest mages in Fairy Tail, and potentially one of the strongest in Fiore if what Lucy heard was right.

She was a beautiful scarlet-haired woman whose everyday attire consists of armor and a skirt. Her magic was most fascinating, Erza could summon weapons and armor from pocket dimensions that she created.

It's known as reequip magic, and it's incredibly cool.

Though when she agreed to train with the older girl, she didn't know what she was getting herself into.

While normally Erza is kind, thoughtful, and considerate, while training she was terrifying.

Though she did get results.

In the two weeks, she's been training with Erza, her magical stamina has gotten exponentially better.

Lucy was now able to keep two gates open at the same time, for a prolonged period of time. She couldn't summon two gold keys at the same time, but one silver and one gold was manageable without her passing out.

Not only that but, once they made a contract, Virgo had gifted her a magical whip that could be infused with her magic.

It was an unusual weapon, but somehow perfect for the blonde. Lucy was surprised at how quickly she picked up on how to use it.

With Erza's help, that is.

Lucy was still frustrated with, in her opinion, inadequate results, but Erza assured her that her progress is notable and it should not be discouraging as it takes time to master any skill, and magic is no different.

Levy and Lucy have been studying up on spirits with Crux as well, finding out more about the spirits, but not of their summoners or what happened to them.

The discoveries they made were mostly about the different types of keys, and how, with training, Lucy could learn to use her magic in a multitude of ways.

One of the things she's eager to learn is called 'Star Dress'. A spell that allows the summoner to channel their spirit's power and fuse with it.

Lucy also learned that there were more than just gold and silver keys out there.

When Lucy wasn't training with Erza or researching with Levy, she could be found with Natsu and Happy.

They had taken it upon themselves to bother her at all times.

Whether it was breaking into her apartment, raiding her kitchen, or watching movies on her tv. They took her on a tour of Magnolia and even took her fishing with them.

Not that Lucy minded, she found herself enjoying their company immensely, and growing fond of both of them the more time they spent together.

They even wound up going on another job together, this time with Happy.

A local one, they were tasked with helping an old man move some of his magic artifacts to a new apartment.

It was completely mundane, and Natsu was grumbling half the time, so after they finished moving she decided to treat him to some food. Even if it could potentially bankrupt her if she kept feeding him.

All in all, Lucy was having the best time with her new friends.

* ********* ********** ********** ********* *

"So, we were thinking of having a party at the end of the week to celebrate your first month in Fairy Tail!" Mira beamed at Lucy from behind the bar as she set the raspberry lemonade in front of her, and a pile of fire chicken for Natsu next to her, and he immediately started devouring them.

"Oh, you don't need to go through all that trouble. I'm just happy to be here with you guys, have real friends, you know?" Lucy told her, feeling like a celebration was unnecessary.

"Nonsense, I've already run everything by the master, and he agreed. Also, Fairy Tail finds any excuse to party, you'll see." Mira winked and went to serve someone at the other end of the bar.

"She's right ya know. Even if ya weren't here they'd find some reason to throw a party." Natsu told her with a mouthful of food, making Lucy grimace at him.

"Don't talk with your mouth full!" Lucy said sharply, sending him a small glare, making him swallow his food before apologizing.

"Sorry, Luce." He mumbled and continued eating, a bit less messy this time.

Lucy shook her head at him, holding back a smile at his antics.

"Ah, Natsu and Lucy, I was looking for you." Natsu choked on his food at the voice that appeared behind them.

Lucy turned to face the girl with a smile.

"Good morning Erza, what can we do for you?" She greeted the other woman and raised her hand to slap Natsu, who was still choking, on the back.

"I would like to ask you both to accompany Gray and myself to Oshibana, there is word of a dark guild brewing something vicious.

Before he left for his meeting, the master tasked me with curating a team and checking it out." Erza explained and Lucy was stunned.

At Erza's inquiry, Lucy found herself wondering why she would want her to come with them.

Sure she's trained with Erza a little, and can keep Virgo or Aquarius out for a while and fight decently, but compared to the three of them she might as well have no magic.

As if sensing her thoughts, the older girl turned to look at Lucy with a slight smile on her face.

"It is apparent that you and Natsu have become a team within the guild, and you have greatly improved since we started training. I am eager to see you in battle." Erza told her, clasping a hand on her shoulder, almost popping it out with the force she used.

"I'm sure Luce can kick all sorts of ass, she's awesome! And you're on Titania, but no promises on not beating the ice prick if he starts strippin'." Natsu exclaimed, throwing his arm over Lucy's shoulders, bringing her close to his chest.

"Deal, but only if he is taking his clothes off. If I see you two fighting like the idiots that you are, I will end both of you. Understood?" Erza threatened, and while she couldn't see his face, she felt the way his breath hitched slightly at Erza's words.

"A-Aye, sir!" He saluted and Erza smiled at them.

"Wonderful. I will see you both at the train station tomorrow. Six am sharp." And with that she left them at the bar, going to sit at one of the unoccupied tables.

"She's scary." Natsu said with a shiver once Erza was out of hearing distance making Lucy giggle.

"No, you're just an idiot. Seriously, I get that you and Gray are like literally fire and ice, but you don't need to fight all the time." He pouted at her words making her laugh. "Just play nice on the mission and you'll be fine." She told him, hand going to pat his head.

"Easy for you to say." He mumbled, going back to eating his food, though a little less enthusiastically this time.

Lucy looked down at the bar, thinking if it was a good idea for her to go with them. If Erza is asking for Natsu and Gray's help, it must be serious.

Was she up for that?

"Do you think I should go on the job? I mean realistically I'll just be slowing you down." She asked him quietly, wringing her hands in her lap.

"What're ya talkin' about? Of course, you're coming with us, ya heard Erza she wants to see ya fight." He turned to give her an encouraging smile.

"If she says your ready, then your ready. Trust me she wouldn't throw anything at you that you can't handle." Natsu told her, nudging her shoulder with his.

Lucy looked up at him "You really think so?" He beamed at her "I know so! Even before ya had Virgo, and didn't even know how to fight ya still went after that bastard on our first job! Plus you're the smartest person I know, so don't go doubtin' yourself!"

Lucy could barely hold back her tears. There he goes again, being sincere and sweet. Encouraging her like no one has before.

He believed in her, that's all Lucy needed to know. She smiled at him, wrapping one of her arms around his waist to give him a side hug.

"Thank you, Natsu." He squeezed her shoulder in response, pulling her closer to him.

He was always warm, and comforting, and Lucy always felt butterflies when they touched like this.

Which was frequent, considering Natsu was a very physical person. He expresses himself through physical touch, and Lucy always found herself on the receiving end of it.

She was brought back to reality as she felt Natsu move, she looked over and saw him moving his arm and snatching her lemonade, downing it in one gulp.

"Hey! That was my drink!" Lucy shouted in outrage, stepping out of their hug, making Natsu laugh and move to run to where Happy was, with Wendy and Charla.

"You owe me a raspberry lemonade you jerk!" Lucy chased after him.

"Help me Happy, Lucy's after me!"

* ********* ********** ********** ********* *

Lucy was at the train station at 6 am on the dot the next morning.

It was crowded this morning and Lucy spent a few minutes before finally spotting Erza and Gray by the ticket booth.

She walked over to them and greeted "Good morning guys, is Natsu not here yet?" She asked them with a smile.

"Flame brain is late, as usual." Gray snorts out and starts pulling his shirt off, only for Erza to hit him on the back of his head. "Stop taking your clothes off, go and buy us the tickets while we wait for Natsu."

Rubbing his shoulder, Gray adjusted his shirt back on his body and put a jacket over it as he went to do as he was told, muttering under his breath the whole time.

"I reserved us a private car, so we can discuss the details without prying ears," Erza said, turning to face Lucy who hummed in acknowledgment as she scanned the station, looking for a flash of pink.

She spotted him not a minute later, running through a crowd of people.

"Ah, there he is. Good, the train should be leaving soon." Erza seemed to have noticed him as well.

Gray comes back with the tickets at that moment, without the jacket he had on before.

Natsu right behind him.

"Yo! Sorry I'm late." He greets them, hands holding onto the straps of his backpack.

"Now that we're all here," Erza said, sending a glare at Natsu. "Let's board so I can explain the known details."

She walked up and boarded the train, Gray right behind her.

Lucy turned to look at Natsu wincing at his already paled skin at the sight of the train, his face turned a shade of green as his nausea kicked in before he even stepped on it, a pitiful sound escaping his throat.

Feeling for the man, Lucy wrapped his arm around her shoulder for support, holding him by the waist, and helped him onto the train.

"Come on, don't be a baby." She said to him as he continued to whine. "The sooner we leave, the sooner we get there." Lucy tells him as they make their way through the seats.

"That doesn't even make sense." She heard him say, making her roll her eyes.

They made their way to the cart Erza had reserved. Going in she sat Natsu in one of the seats and plopped next to him. The moment she sat down he flung himself in her lap.

"Natsu!" Lucy squeaked at the suddenness of the act.

She heard Gray laugh at her predicament.

"I was able to fall asleep like this last time, I didn't even puke on you, please?" He pleaded pathetically and Lucy sighed nodding her head.

"Fine, but if you do vomit on me I will kill you, that is a promise Dragneel." He nodded his head muttering an 'Aye, sir.' Before settling on her lap, face burrowing a little into her stomach.

Lucy tried not to blush, she kept her gaze on Natsu's head looking at his hair.

One of her hands slowly wound up tangled in the pink mess, it was softer than she expected, considering it somewhat defied gravity.

Lucy continued scratching his head and he fell asleep in record time. She let out a chuckle at how nonsensical he is.

Raised by a dragon and can eat fire, but cannot stand transportation.

Ridiculous.

"Well, that's a better solution than me knocking him out I suppose. We can fill him in later."

Erza said, bringing Lucy out of her thoughts about the absurdity of the man in her lap, and she looked up at her and saw Gray shudder at the thought of Erza knocking someone out.

"There is word of a dark guild moving towards Oshibana in search of something called 'Lullaby'. The intel we have seems to claim it is an artifact of some sort. Whatever it is, it can't be good. The leader is someone called Eisenwald, we know he uses some type of air magic, but not much else." Erza paused for a moment and went to continue but Lucy interrupted.

"Sorry, you said they were looking for Lullaby?" Lucy urged "Yes, like I said, it seems to be an object of some kind, but we are not sure, why do you ask?"

"It's just, Levy and I have been doing some research with the help of Grampa Crux, most of it about my spirits. But we have also been looking into the dark mage Zeref, trying to figure out why he would have wanted to eradicate all spirit summoners." Lucy's free hand goes to the keys on her hip automatically, needing their comfort as she spoke.

"In the course of our research, I remember reading about one of the demons that he created. It was known as Lullaby." Lucy explained and Erza's expression turned fierce.

Gray was silent, face grave, he flinched slightly as she mentioned Zeref and his demons.

"If that is true, it's even worse than I thought. Do you know anything more about this demon?" She asked

"It said that Lullaby was a flute. When played it kills anyone who hears its song." Lucy recited the passage she read.

"Shit." Gray said.

"Yes, shit is right. We need to stop them before they get their hands on it." Erza said her voice steely.

"This is the plan, when we get to Oshibana we go straight for the building that we know the dark mages are in. Hopefully, they haven't found the flute and we can take them out before they have a chance to." Gray nodded in agreement but Lucy was feeling even more uncertain about coming than before.

"And if they've already found it?" She asks, dreading the answer.

"Then we make sure to take them out before they can use it."

'What kind of a plan is that?' Lucy asked herself, but nodded anyway, turning her head to look out the window as she contemplated her life choices.

* ********* ********** ********** ********* *

Upon their arrival in Oshibana, they hurried towards the location of the dark guild.

Erza and Gray in the front, Natsu and Lucy in the back. She had helped him out of the train and as a result they were lagging behind a bit so, Lucy took the chance to explain what they knew so far and the overall game plan to him.

"Happy didn't want to come on this one?" Lucy asked him once she explained about Lullaby.

She noticed back on the train and wanted to ask, but he was out before she had the chance. The blue fur ball was not in Natsu's backpack like usual when they go out in public.

"Nah, the little buddy went on a job with Wendy and Charla, something about finally winning Charla over." He shrugged, arms crossed behind his head as they entered a shady-looking part of town.

"Aww, they are so cute." Lucy said with a smile thinking of the exceeds finding love.

They saw Gray and Erza pause to wait for them.

"We are approaching the building, it's best to surprise them with a direct attack." Erza told them, pointing at an abandoned factory building, that was a few meters from them.

Thankfully no people were in the vicinity.

"Gray, Natsu, I want you two to bust the doors and attack them dead on. Lucy and I will sneak around back and block the exits. Everyone clear?" She asked sternly making the two men salute her, Lucy offered a sharp nod. "Understood."

Lucy followed Erza to the back of the building, leaving Natsu with Gray.

She shouldn't worry about him, he was more than capable of fighting off enemies. But she couldn't help but feel like she should be there so she could see that he was okay.

Even that first time, when she bolted after the mage that stole the book, she felt that pull to stay near him.

It was an odd feeling. She feels odd things around Natsu all the time. Has been feeling them since they met.

It started as a twinge in her chest when he was near, or a prickle of their skin when they touched.

It grew into a warmth that seemed to reside in her heart, in her soul. Lucy could feel it growing stronger the more time they spent together. It was almost like a force pulling them together.

Shaking herself out of her thoughts of Natsu, Lucy reminded herself to focus.

She couldn't afford to be distracted or lost in thought when they were about to attack the enemy.

Erza signaled for them to split up and cover both back exists and, while Lucy was still apprehensive about whether she could handle herself or not, she had to try. She would never know for sure until she did and she couldn't live in fear.

Not if she wanted to stay a part of this world. A part of Fairy Tail.

And she did, so Lucy went to her post and braced herself for the chaos about to come. Praying to the gods to keep them safe.

There was a loud explosion that echoed throughout the very foundation of the building, making Lucy sway slightly at the unexpected shockwave.

Natsu and Gray have made their move.

Lucy braced herself for battle, hand moving to the whip on her belt, deciding that she wouldn't summon a spirit until necessary to not exhaust herself.

She could hear the battle coming from the front of the building, voices bouncing off the walls.

Footsteps approaching her alerted Lucy to her attacker, a tall man appeared from the corner, he stopped when he saw her, crossing his arms he looked her up and down, clearly unimpressed.

"Are you here to stop me, princess?" He taunted her as his hands started glowing, preparing to attack.

Lucy's jaw ticked at his demeaning nickname, her own hand tightening on her whip, magic flowing through her as she prepared for the fight.

"You know it's a shame I have to take you down, because baby, you are one fine piece of ass." He continued with a smirk on his face as he reared his hand to attack.

Lucy mentally gagged at his comment, but kept her face blank, she was watching him, assessing his trajectory and bracing herself to avoid impact.

The tall man sent a ball of light her way and Lucy managed to sidestep it, pouring her magic into the whip, she sent it flying towards the man, catching both of his hands, he let out a scream of pain as her magic wrapped around his wrists.

She used the element of surprise she sent him flying back and into a wall, her magic sending a burst of light through his body.

She pulled her whip back and assessed the damage, he seemed to be knocked out.

Carefully, she walked closer to the man that was slumped against the wall. Taking out the magic cuffs Erza gave her, she took his hands and put them on, rendering his magic useless.

Lucy took a step back, and then another. She let out a gasp, that turned into laughter, she didn't know why she was laughing she just felt lighter.

As the adrenaline faded she realized the building was silent. The fighting was over.

Suddenly there was a loud ringing noise followed by a raspy voice, coming from the loudspeakers.

"Dear little fairies, you thought you could catch us off guard, did you? Well, it makes no difference to me if you manage to defeat those pathetic excuses for mages. I have my prize and am fully intent on using its power."

The voice taunted them over the loudspeaker. Lucy froze at his implication, he found Lullaby.

Was he going to use it now to kill them? With his fellow guild members present?

'Despicable.' Lucy thought.

"As for you, well you are trapped. Have fun trying to get out." With a laugh the intercom was shut off and Lucy trembled for a moment.

What did he mean they were trapped? Was he not going to kill them? What is his interest in Lullaby, and where does he intend to use it?

Lucy was brought out of her thoughts by footsteps that sent her on edge, powering her whip she readied herself for an attack, only to hear Natsu calling her.

"Lucy, Luce you okay?" He appeared in the hallway panting slightly.

Lucy looked him up and down, checking for injuries. He looked disheveled, pupils blown wide with adrenaline from his fight and the announcement they heard. She could see his scarf had some blood splattered on it, but none of it was his, as she found nothing but a few rips on his clothes.

'He's unharmed.' She relaxed slightly at the thought and she looked back up at him, that warm feeling building inside of her.

"I told ya you would kick ass!" He exclaimed beaming at her, legs moving to close the few meters of space between them and bring her into a hug, before picking her off the ground and spinning her.

"Put me down, you oaf!" Lucy managed to gasp out between laughs, and with one last spin, he set her down softly, hands on her waist smiling down at her with a warm look in his eyes.

"Hey." He greeted her.

"Hey yourself. I assume you and Gray handled the rest of the mages?" Lucy asked him as she pulled out of his embrace and went down the hall from where Natsu appeared.

"Yeah, he went to see if he could find the broadcasting room. I followed my nose to you." Natsu told her, following behind and carrying the cuffed man over his shoulder.

"We need to find them and re-group, did you find anything out on where they plan to use the flute?" Lucy asked him as they approached the main part of the building.

Pausing as she looked at the damage that Natsu and Gray caused. The caved walls and rubble, a hole was blown through the floor, and a pile of cuffed, unconscious bodies by the door.

Lucy shivered slightly. It was kind of scary to think what they were capable of. She was glad they were the good guys.

"Lucy, Natsu. You're both uninjured. That's good, we need to move. I found out what they plan on doing with the flute and it is bad. Where is Gray?" Erza said as she approached them. She was dressed in her usual armor and skirt, unharmed.

"He went to try and find the broadcast room." Natsu told her and she cursed.

"Not matter, we don't have time, he can catch up with us. We need to get to Clover Town. They are planning on using Lullaby to kill all the guild masters." Erza said in a grave tone, and Lucy felt her heart drop.

"What? We need to stop those bastards!" Natsu growled as his body engulfed in flames and he started running out of the building.

Lucy and Erza on his heels.

When they exited the factory, however, they saw a giant wall of wind encircling the building.

"What the fuck?" Lucy asked out loud.

They were surrounded by a tornado? Magic is so weird.

"Natsu, stop doing that you'll injure yourself." Erza's voice made Lucy turn and see Natsu throwing himself into the side of the wind, trying to break through.

'It's gonna rip him to shreds.' Lucy thought as she watched him get blasted back once again by the force of the wind.

He stood up, body shaking as it lit on fire, and with a roar he charged towards it again.

Lucy jumped to action and hugged him from behind, hands on his chest. Holding him back.

"Stop! Just stop it Natsu!! You're gonna get yourself killed, and then what? Who's going to help us save Makarov and the other masters?" She yelled at him, trying to calm down his murderous tunnel vision with logic.

She felt him relax in her grip, extinguishing the fire and slumping into her chest.

"We need to get through." He choked out and Lucy tightened her hold on him. "We will. I promise."

"There you guys are!" Gray's voice called out, making Lucy look over Natsu's head to see him. "What the hell is with this wind? How are we supposed to get out?" He asked as he stopped near them.

"I could use one of my armors and fly over it, but I don't know how I would get you out, I can't carry anything but my weight to fly." Erza said, hand on her chin, debilitating on whether she should do it or not.

Lucy let go of Natsu knowing that he was not going to charge at the air like a maniac again.

"Maybe there's an underground tunnel we can take inside the factory?"

Natsu asked with a shrug and Lucy had an Eureka moment.

"A tunnel, yes! Why didn't I think of that? Natsu you're a genius." Lucy exclaimed making the three mages turn to look at her with various confused expressions.

"I am? How am I a genius?" Natsu asked her and she just rolled her eyes and reached for her key belt on her hip.

"Open, gate of the virgin, Virgo!" The spirit emerged from golden light, revealing a pink-haired young woman, wearing a maid's uniform with shackles on her wrist.

Lucy felt a slight twinge when she summoned her, but it was much better than the first time she summoned Aquarius.

"How may I assist you, my lady?" Virgo bowed at the waist making Lucy roll her eyes at the formalities.

"I told you to call Lucy, none of that 'My lady' nonsense." The spirit nodded her head and bowed once more. "I apologize, mistress, would you like to punish me?"

She heard Natsu laugh at her words and sighed in frustration, there was no winning with her.

Hand rubbing the bridge of her nose, Lucy let out a sigh.

"No punishments. I need you to dig us a tunnel from here to the other side of the wind wall please Virgo." She asked and the spirit immediately sprang to action, pointing her toes, she started spinning uncontrollably and the earth started shaking as she applied pressure.

And just like a drill, she broke the concrete and disappeared beneath it.

"That's so wicked!" Natsu exclaimed as they all started at the hole Virgo left behind.

"I'm never gonna get used to you just summoning people out of nowhere. And are they all that weird?" Gray chimed in.

Before Lucy could answer his question, Virgo popped back out of the hole.

"The tunnel is secure mistress, may I receive my punishment now?" She asked eagerly.

"No punishments Virgo. Thank you for your help, you can go back now." Lucy dismissed her, and the spirit bowed dissolving in a flash of light.

"Wait to go! You are amazing Luce!" Natsu hugged her suddenly, pulling her feet off the ground. He placed a kiss on the side of her head and placed her back down.

"Isn't she the best?" He beamed at Gray and Erza, and in true Natsu fashion before anyone could respond, he jumped down the tunnel and out of sight.

Lucy knew that her face was as red as a tomato. Trying to ignore the fluttering in her stomach and the looks she was getting from Erza and Gray, she shook her head.

"Idiot." She muttered with a smile before jumping after him. "Are you guys coming or what?" She called back to Gray and Erza and heard them jump in after her.

Mercedes Drivers At War -- Last Week’s Crash The Tipping Point.

You and Lewis at opposites, at war, rivals until the end of time.

There was no way the only female/male duo on the grid could be friends. You were either dating or you hated each other. The two of you opted for hating each other - politely disrespecting the other in the media, pushing and shoving on the track, outranking each other week in and week out, constantly photos of you two getting scolding your team dad principal.

Silverstone held a special place in both yours and Lewis’ heart. His home race, your first GP win. There was no one where either of you wanted to win so badly, willing to go to any length to out shine the other.

Lewis went too far - pushing you off the track, skidding until you hit the barricade. You were pissed.

You weren’t injured, thankfully. The car was fucked and you were forced to retire.

Toto calmly told you not to bite back even though he understood why you’d want too, promising to speak to Lewis about the incident and making you tell him that you would be a team player to the media.

Now you were back at home, your flat in London. You missed it.

There’s a knock on the door and you get up, walking over to open it. You come face to face with your teammate. Lewis stood across from you with a bouquet of your favourite flowers.

“Well. well, well. Look who came to their enemy’s door holding presents.”

No one, not even your team principal knew about what was happening between you and Lewis. One night, the hatred went too far, the tension too much to handle and you ended up in bed together. That quickly turned into a pattern, leading to spending the night together, only for you both to realize you liked each other.

Lewis smiles, handing you the flowers as he walks in. “Oh cut it, I’m here to pick you up for our date.”

You groan, walking to the kitchen. “Do we have to go out? Can we order take out and stay in?” You ask, setting the flowers in a vase as you fill it with water.

“Of course,” he hugs you from behind. “Are you okay? You left the track before I could even check in on you.”

“I’m fine,” you tell him and he turns you to face him, caging you in between him and the counter. “Then why was I being told that you were shaking after the crash?”

“Post race adrenaline. You know how it is, Lew.” Your fingers fiddling with the strings on his hoodie.

“You’re absolutely sure you’re okay? I couldn't forgive myself if I hurt you-”

“You didn’t hurt me,” you kiss him, a hand on his jaw.

“Good,” he smiles, he pats your hip. “What are we feeling tonight? Chinese? Indian ? Greek? I saw a new Thai place opened down the street.” He tells you scanning the menus pinned to the side of your fridge.

“Chinese, in the mood for fried wontons.” You walk to the couch, Lewis following you with the menu in hand.

“When are you not?” He jokes, his arm around your shoulder.

I know everyone has weak stomachs for it, but if this show were more ambitious, this would be the ideal time for a temporary Adrien and Lila team up.

Consider it: Adrien just spent the past season putting his foot down. He unfriended Chloe. He stopped trying to give Lila the benefit of the doubt. He trashed his dad's pancakes to his face. There's evidence that he is done giving people so many chances and it would be really ironic if he took Felix, Kagami and Marinette's own advice against them. The former told him to get a backbone and stop letting people screw him around in so many words. Marinette told him that sometimes the good we see in others is just a reflection of our own goodness. Imagine him taking all that to heart, but against them.

Secondly, he's been on edge all Season 5, acting outside of himself and almost attacking people. Combine that with his dad being gone. He no longer has the invisible restraints of having to uphold the Agreste name. He has complete control over his choices AND he's about to receive a dozen terrible secrets. He could be a loose canon for a while.

Thirdly, Lila serves as a twisted mirror to Adrien. Lila is what happens when someone uses empathy and knowing what people want against them- for personal gain. Adrien has always used those things to be liked and to help others. But when he discovers that all these people that he wanted the esteem of/helped were keeping world crushing secrets from him/weren't taking him seriously, he might be resentful enough to see more value in her way of thinking for a time, possibly just out of spite.

Fourthly, Adrien has the capacity for this, for spite, and that's been narratively proven. It makes him reckless, aggressive and/or moody. It causes him to project his issues onto others who aren't always deserving of it. He's been cold to or ditched Ladybug in battle momentarily. He's verbally lashed out at Felix's and Scarabella's insecurities, showing that he is capable of wielding empathy as a weapon too. He shows this sparingly under Gabriel's control, only as Chat Noir. Now Gabriel is gone and he has 10 times the reason to be pushed to the edge. Adrien is extremely resilient and kind, but even the kindest people have a breaking point.

Fifthly, you might say Adrien would never team up with Lila because she used and lied to him too in the past. But he knew she was a snake most of the time. It's different when someone you trusted so intrinsically hurts you/lies to you like Marinette or Felix or Kagami or Nathalie or his parents. Sometimes, especially if you are feeling spiteful or resentful, the enemy of your enemy is your temporary friend.

And hey... even if Adrien refuses to team up with 'Lila' because of trust issues, that's okay. She has like 20 more identities and the miraculous cast are not very good with telling those apart. She can weasel into his good graces as Cerise or whatever and do some incredible psychological manipulation, using truth to bring him to her side against Marinette.

I'm not saying this spiteful team up would last. It totally wouldn't. Adrien and Lila's values do not align. He'd come to his senses by seeing the extent of her ruthlessness or realizing who she is. This duo will crumble at the first pull of tension and they'll turn on one another. But it would be an interesting turn of events, it would be realistic for someone whose been through what Adrien has and it would be a great challenge for Maribug and the rest of the team.

I know they probably won't do it. Or they won't do it well. But I'm not afraid of the pain and character exploration and I'd love to see it.

Oh I highly doubt this would happen in the show. I could see her revealing those secrets to Adrien and getting him to doubt his friends, to be frustrated and snap at them, but I just can't see it getting beyond him being snippy and cold for a day or two. I don't think it's physically possible for him to stay mad at Marinette especially, he loves her too much.

This is an interesting, dramatic idea that could be good for character development, I agree with you on that, but pulling it off in a way that still feels in-character for Adrien would be VERY tricky.

Venting because I'm severely pissed.

Clear by my profile I'm an avid Dva player and I know how to play her.

I was playing with my sunshine today, and he asks me to play Dva because recently I've been afraid because the games have been completely ass.

So our first game, we win the first round because of me and our Pharah starts talking as if they're better than the enemy (who happens to have a pocket) whilst they have literally just 2k dmg. Whatever, idiot but I'll let it slide. So naturally we lose second and they have the GUTS to try and tell me to swap.

Neither of our dps are playing hitscan, my man is forced to Bap because they won't, he is getting completely diffed by the enemy Pharah, and I'm doing both the dps's dmg combined AND mitigated more, I'm the only reason we have a shot because the only one countering the Pharmercy is me and my partner. I'm a t500 tank. I know how to play Dva. I OTP her for Christ's sake. Wanna know this Pharah otp's rank?

Gold.

We lost that game, I had 12k blocked and 13k mit, I told this moron to never try to teach me again, and then, guess what? Yep, next game, he's on the enemy team whilst I'm on dps. Friendly reminded I'm not that great at aiming. I'm on Ashe. We wipe the floor. Lmao.

To add salt to the wound, we went for one last game because I wanted to play Dva. We got this guy, Stich, yeah I'm calling you out dickhead, who thought it would be a great idea to try and pin the blame on me, calling my account 'bought' (nobody else has ever played on my account before ever, not even for fun) and all that dumb shit etc. Hun, their Tracer is 20-0 LOL, I'm peeling the entire game because your 'gm1' dumbass is so bad at positioning and so unaware of anything you can't kill them. Of course my dear duo has been trying to comfort and cheer me up all night because both of us know I'm not the one in the wrong (and buddy, I watched the reply, don't sit there and tell me you're gm1 and you're playing like that lmao, '4800 peak' lying out your arse moron that's PRO SR you fucking brainless dipshit), but I'm still incredibly annoyed so, ranting to let it off. I know I'm not wrong lmao but it's so shit to have people randomly start talking smack in QUICK PLAY games and trying to act like they know better than you. For the love of God people, please just be kind to those you're playing with, it costs nothing, and it makes you not a spineless loser.

On another note, I'd love to post anything Dva related and my ama's are open, appreciate anyone who stumbles across this and can sympathise with me. If you're getting attacked or deal with toxicity too, send a question, I'll listen. I know how it feels. Stop attacking other people, I didn't say a word to you until you decided to speak. I can't begin to even count how many people have told me to kill myself over a VIDEO GAME. If you're gonna be a toxic arse, please stop talking in chat.

Apollo leans away from his sister’s nudge — they’re never really nudges, more like full blown punches, and they hurt. It’s best to avoid them if possible. Artemis may be a hunter but with other people she can never judge her own strength quite right.

“Apollo! Seriously, pay attention!”

He ducks under a head thwack and narrows his eyes at her. “What am I paying attention to?”

His sister presses her lips together and peers back at him, eyes squinting hard.

“Hades is here!”

Apollo blinks, and then raises a brow.

“I mean, I sure hope he is? It is a solstice meeting where all the gods must make an appearance. He’s usually attending those, seeing as how he’s a god.”

“Ugh.” Artemis slaps a hand to her own face in exasperation, and then winces. See, she just can’t judge it.

“Moron, did you forget?”

“What am I remembering, now?”

“Umm.” Artemis glances around at their many relatives and relatives affiliate gods that surround them in the grand temple room of Olympus, looking incredibly suspicious as she does so.

Sensing something juicy, Apollo leans in toward her and whispers. “What are we hiding?”

Artemis glowers at him, hissing. “Our. Cousin. You idiot, did you forget?”

“What? We have a lot of cousins, Art, you’ll have to be more specifi—” Apollo’s eyes go wide. “Oh! Ohhhh. Right. Right. Our cou— them! Ahem. Yes.”

Artemis stares at him. Her jaw works in a furious way, no words coming out, and Apollo shrinks away and lowers his head.

“Ahem… Yes. That.”

“You’re horrible.” She says, looking stunned in a very false way.

She’s his sister, she knows him. Worse, she’s very much like him!

The twins have been keeping their knowledge on the whereabouts of the missing godling, their cousin Kore, a secret for several months now, and each and every day has been a new kind of torture.

Because the twins of the heavenly bodies of the sky are not good at keeping secrets. No, in fact, they’re terrible at it.

It’s a wonder — no, a miracle — that they’ve been able to keep their promise thus far.

But, today —

Artemis perks up, and she quickly and furiously ‘nudges’ Apollo again in the ribs, and this time the hit makes it’s mark. Apollo doubles over, spluttering, in pain, and his sister’s hand smacks repeatedly at his back like she’s trying to help him catch his breath.

“Stop, stop,” he gasps, coughing.” Art, stooop—”

“Look!” Artemis whisper-yells, slapping his back again and again. “Look, look, look!”

Apollo struggles to raise his head under the onslaught of attacks, but he manages to look up just in time to see their lord uncle make his actual entrance into the hall.

With a pretty little thing on his arm, a crown of shadows on their head that contrasts beautifully against their bronze-gleaming hair.

Apollo’s jaw drops.

“Damn.” He says.

Artemis’ slaps have ceasefired, so he leans back in toward his sister and hisses. “Is that—?”

“That’s them!” Artemis hisses back, excitedly. “Apollo, that’s..! Ho, ho~! You know what this means, twin of mine?”

Apollo stares at the duo, whose entrance has garnered the attention of the entire temple. The reactions seems torn, many eyes staring in appreciation of what a pretty picture this couple makes, and many more in shock and surprise, because —

Because Hades has always been a perfectly polite person, even to his own siblings who have publicly done quite enough to put them on the god of the dead’s bad side. But Hades had never disparaged them for anything. Alongside that, though, is the fact that Hades had never opened himself up to his family, either — or to anyone. He’s kind and polite and just a nice guy, but in the end he can turn around and walk away and you’ll be left wondering if you’d even spoken much to him at all.

Hades, in the end, is a solitary existence.

Except for today.

Today, Hades walks in, a content smile on his face that for once looks more than the polite mask it has always been, and holding onto his arm is their cousin, Kore, who the twins had helped run away to the Underworld earlier that year in a desperate bid for independence that they personally hadn’t really thought would achieve anything but maybe another war.

Instead…

“What?” He asks, despite knowing the answer.

Artemis’ smile looks conniving. “Seems our dear cousin got a bit more than just independence when they journeyed down under. If you know what I mean.”

“War doesn’t seem off the table yet, though, brother dear.” His sister says slowly, and Apollo turns his head to follow her gaze.

When he sees a furious goddess of the harvest, red faced and eyes gleaming with promise of pain and paypack, stomping her way across the temple room to the couple currently under everyone’s attention, Apollo cringes.

Oh, this solstice council will be interesting indeed.

First, let me say that I loved being back in this world. Sure, you can read Foul Lady Fortune without reading the original duology (These Violent Delights & Our Violent Ends) but I highly recommend that because it would spoiler the duology´s ending for you and it makes so much more sense to read it because of the events and characters. Foul Lady Fortune focuses on Rosalind. In the beginning, you get to know what´s happening in her life four years after the events of Our Violent Ends. It’s 1931 and Shanghai is unrest once again. Japanese Imperial Army is getting closer, while the city has to deal with a civil war between the Nationalists and Communists. As if the city hasn't been through enough already. It´s a golden age of espionage - with double and even triple agents roaming the streets - and that´s how Rosalind meets with her fake husband Orion Hong. Together, they depart on a mission to uncover the culprits behind the gruesome murders terrorizing Shanghai. “Across the city and outside of it, Friday arrived to the sound of war drums.”

Heartbroken and atoning Rosalind is prepared to do anything to glue the broken city back together - to heal it, to make it whole again. You may originally hate her for what she´s done but in the end, cannot help to root for her. She´s not a perfect human, she has her flaws, but that´s what makes her a perfect character. By the way, Rosalind is demisexual and while it is not directly stated (through this modern term), it is discussed in the text.

Speaking about romance, Rosalind and Orion Hong are a great couple and a power duo, in public and in private as well. I loved how Orion calls her “beloved” or “ my wife” even when they are alone or with people who know. They both have their own secrets which undeniably adds to the ever-present tension between them. Their interactions are amazing and I live, ache, and breathe for this pairing. Besides meeting and getting to know a bunch of new characters - (previously mentioned) Orion, his brother Oliver and sister Phoebe - we get to be reunited with now seventeen-year-old Alisa Montagova as well as Rosalind´s sister Celia. Together they become entangled in the political machinations and despite being on different sides of the conflict, end up cooperating and saving each other's butts. I loved this group (every one of them) and their dynamics. Around ¾ of the book felt kind of “peaceful” to me or how to describe it. Of yours, there is a lot of spying to uncover all the dangerous secrets, occasionally some gunshots or poisoning happening, but overall, it is very political - which is still amazing because I love this kind of books - until the whole situation escalates, making you sit at the edge of your seat holding your breath and praying that everyone survives the inevitable storm coming their way. As the tension rises and the stakes get higher, it is very hard to put the book down. It is INTENSE. I could not stop reading till the ending, well… it broke me. At last, I want to say that I´ve genuinely missed Chloe Gong´s writing. She never disappoints. Foul Lady Fortune is beautifully written and well thought through from the first word to its very last. Overall, it is very cleverly done. Now I have no idea how I am going to survive the wait for the second book of this incredible spin-off to These Violent Delights. Random love tropes with random couples.♡

It's all in the title but basically @ghost162 and I picked love tropes then assigned them to two random characters from “The Quarry” with our filter. And it’s... pretty interesting.^^

Enemies to lovers: Ryan and Max: This started out extremely well since I love the idea here! I mean, I'm sad that Max didn't have any interaction with the other counselors so this trope seems incredibly interesting to me, especially with the relationship that Ryan and Laura have. I'd like to think that Ryan and Max would silently hate each other for a bit before just realizing that they actually enjoy each other's company and become an inseparable duo. I mean, sure they played tricks on each other, sent each other mistrust or suspicious looks, but in the end they couldn't deny that they felt safe when they were together. Ryan would probably tell Max to stop apologizing so much and make him feel more confident, while Max would defend Ryan even though he doesn't understand half the time why he acts so weird. A really awkward but fun duo.

Friends to lovers: Dylan and Max: Again, just amazing. They would be so perfect together. Great friends, with the same kind of humor, sweet and cute. I can totally see them together, Dylan helping Max with work, the two of them eventually talking all night about movies, music and more, before falling asleep cuddling on the couch. I mean, have you seen these two in the game?! They're totally cool, badass and all, but they're also the two characters that give the most “golden retriever boyfriend” vibe. Their duo might be a little chaotic and often clumsy but in the end they are two little rays of sunshine.

Forbidden love: Abi and Dylan: I have to admit that this one confused me but doesn't bother me more than that. I think they have good chemistry but maybe they don't dare approach each other? There would definitely be this story of "Dylan would feel too bad about liking Nick's crush, and same with Abi but for Ryan”. So in the end they could never really be together without feeling guilty. Both are too adorable for that. But I like to think that despite all this, they would manage to be happy in their respective lives and stay in touch. Attending each other's weddings melancholically but also with joy, always this unspoken thing between them that will go with them to their graves.

Soulmates: Emma and Kaitlyn: Yes! Let’s go lesbians! I love this concept! I mean, both have really cool and explosive character, they would just be unbeatable. I like to imagine that Kaitlyn first went to Emma due to the whole "Jacob breakup" thing and that the two understood each other and got along. After hanging out for a while they finally confessed their love in a dramatic moment. And even if Dylan pushed Kaitlyn to make the first move, Emma was the one who confessed first. Also, she loves it when Kaitlyn makes videos with her to show how wonderful her girlfriend is. They were just meant to be together... (I love soulmates aus so much...)

Beauty and the beast: Ryan and Nick: Do I even need to explain this? Because this is so perfect. I think Ryan and Nick would make a really nice couple. Ryan, always very lonely and reclusive, only appreciated for his beauty. And Nick, alone and cursed because of his lack of tact and clumsiness with others. Two introverts little understood by their relatives who despite the few inconveniences at the beginning of their relationship, connect by saving each other’s life.

Forced proximity: Kaitlyn and Max: Not much to say about this one. Not that I don't like them but this trope is not favorite. Nevertheless! Kaitlyn did mention that fantasy of being stuck in a ski resort with someone and only having each other to keep warm so.... why not? Let's give the lady what she wants! Plus a cute boyfriend. (and without the wendigos of course... because I just want them to be happy...)

Second chance love: Dylan and Nick: This one is really cute. I tend to see a lot of people saying that Nick and Dylan shared a room during summer camp. So, this trope is just adorable. Putting aside their love interest for a second (as much as it hurts), I just imagine that after the terrifying night they had, they both stay in touch and strangely are closer to each other than any other counselor. Dylan helps Nick with all his guilt and makes him feel good about himself again. And on the other side, Nick is the one who acts the most normal with Dylan, not treating him any diferent even with his missing hand. The two of them with broken hearts and low self-confidence, end up dating and being happy by supporting each other.

First love: Jacob and Abi: This is... unexpected actually. However, here's what I propose! Jacob and Abi were little when they fell in love with each other, just kids. Abi, having moved in a new town, finding herself in a school she didn't know and in a class where all friends groups were already formed, she felt really isolated from everyone. Nevertheless, Jacob was the one who came to her to spend time with her. He would help her with sports or play with her at recess and in return she would give him advice during class or offer him little drawings. Their youthful romance was very sweet before Abi finally moved away a second time. With a shy goodbye and a little kiss, they never saw each other again... at least that was before Hackett's Quarry. Both having changed a lot in the meantime, they just remained friends.

Trapped in an elevator: Laura and Emma: Chaos, just chaos, but I have a little idea anyway. Laura and Emma live in the same building but don't know each other. They're both going through a rough time and after a hard day they come home but are stuck in the elevator. They can't do much except wait for someone to come and help them and this is where the bonding begins. Both tired, they finally start to talk. Why? Well, because one of them has no battery on her cell phone and the other one just wants to rest. In the end, they notice their obvious similarities and confess their problems. Emma confesses her anxiety these days about socializing and how hard it is to keep up when everyone is counting on her. While Laura talks about how she is still suffering from grief because her boyfriend tragically died in a car accident recently (sorry Max, I love you). The two finally let themselves cry a little, comfort each other and after a good while spent stuck in that elevator, they end up going out of there, with each other's phone numbers to later flirt and be together.

Love at first sight: Ryan and Abi: Okay, this one doesn’t bother me that much because we know that Ryan and Abi would get along really well. They are both calm and respectful, gentle and passionate about what they do. Don’t tell me they couldn’t meet in an Art class or something and they didn’t immediately love each other. Whether by their appearance or just by the mood they give off, they immediately thought they were made for each other. After that they have become inseparable, enjoying each moment spent together. They would lend themselves clothes and jewelry, make tattoos together, flirt with little attentions or cute little drawings. Really nothing problematic in that couple, they would be really adorable.
