--Just a little ficlet I had rolling around in my brain after the latest manga chapter. Can be read as platonic or romantic bkdk. Hopefully not too OOC, and probably some grammatical errors. Enjoy!--
* Manga spoilers- for those not caught up to chapter 317, ye' be warned!*
Finding that which is Lost:
It's been days, multiple infuriating days of searching, flying over rooftops and zigzagging through desolate alley ways and getting mostly useless information from the occasional civilian. Bakugou was pissed, hell he'd been pissed since he'd woken up in a hospital only to find out Deku was still unconscious, and then later to a goddamn letter and a nerd who'd gone off to fuck-knows-where. Uraraka had tried to tell him that he was probably just scared more so than angry, that they all were. Naturally he told her to shove it. But more than anything he'd been pissed from the moment that All Might walked right back into the UA dorms, fucking months later, looking absolutely miserable and terrified. The former Pro Hero had barely gotten the explanation out of what he and Deku had been up to before he'd straight up slugged the man. Deku left All Might behind? Deku's pushing everyone away? What the fuck does that even mean? Godammit, didn't he warn the damn nerd not to do this shit?! All Might at least had the decency to look apologetic, as if he knew he deserved the hit.
As he moves the buildings start to blur a bit and he recalls a memory from the recesses of his mind. He and Deku had been very little, he doesn't recall how old exactly, he just knew it was at some point before he had driven a wedge between their friendship, and it was the first time both of their families had gone on a camping trip. The two children had wandered away from the campsite for a bit to explore. He recalls several minutes passing and him and Deku getting separated, and even though /he/ wasn't scared of anything in the woods, he wanted to keep Deku close, you know, just in case, poor nerd would probably bawl his eyes out without him. Sure enough after a few minutes of searching he heard loud sobs and found the green haired boy crouched underneath a tree, his knees all scratched up from taking a tumble. Deku's green eyes lit up in relief upon seeing him and his little heart swelled at the reaction.
"Kacchan!"
"Stupid Izuku! I told you to stay with me!"
"I know, I'm sorry Kacchan, I guess I got lost."
"Can you walk?"
"Yeah-"
"Well, come on then!"
He grabbed Deku's hand and yanked him upright, then practically pulled him along behind him.
He put on his best All Might voice impression, "It's okay now, ya' know why? Because I'm here so you're not lost anymore. Let's go back Izuku!"

If he'd turned behind him, he'd have seen the beaming smile aimed his way.
But all he heard was the small, "Thanks, Kacchan."

Back in the present moment, Bakugou was snapped out of his memory by a blur of green, and he abruptly came to a halt on a rooftop. Looking over the edge, he saw down to the street below where there was another flash of green and just as suddenly a figure stepped out, their silhouette half covered in shadows. His eyes widened, he was far away, so he couldn't be sure. But that lightning, the black-green tendrils that trailed the figure, it had to be...it couldn't be. He leapt ahead to the next building over making sure never to lose sight of the ground below, and then jumped down the side to stay out of the figure's line of vision. He silently thanked Hatsume for the upgrades to his gauntlets that rendered them way quieter than usual. As he peaked around the corner he saw the figure walk close to the sides of the building heading his direction. Suddenly their head came under a direct beam of light from a street lamp, and he felt his whole body freeze from the inside out.
The person in front of him, was unmistakably Deku. The teal jumpsuit, worn and disgustingly dirty and covered in various degrees of drying blood, his leg bracers ripped to shreds, those ridiculous bunny ears frayed, and those red shoes that he would recognize anywhere. It was Deku, but not Deku as he had named him, a useless person, incapable of doing anything, and not Deku as the boy himself had taken the meaning, a person capable of anything, full of unlimited promise. No this was Deku as in a doll, a mere foreboding vessel of power and purpose. There was nothing in those green eyes, glowing but soulless. It was Deku, but it was no longer the Deku he knew, and it definitely wasn't Midoriya Izuku.
"I know you're there. Although if you're not here to attack me, then what is your purpose?"
Bakugou flinched at the voice, momentarily having forgotten about "Danger sense", All Might had tried to explain before, but he'd been a little too preoccupied planning how to get around the security at UA to go after Deku to pay close attention to the details.
He figured to hell with it and stepped out into Deku's line of view.
"What the hell do you think I'm here for Deku?"
Now Deku froze, his head raising slightly. His voice came out quiet and hesitant, completely unfitting the ominous aura his appearance gave off.
"Kacchan? Is that really you?"
"Who the fuck else would it be?"
To his surprise Deku started approaching him again, the tendrils of black whip receding and the lightning dimming to nothing. When he was close enough he yanked his hood down, and Bakugou got an up close look at the grime and blood caked on his face, the sunken eyes and black bags of sleep deprivation.
"What the fuck happened to you Deku?"
The green haired boy seemed nearly ready to collapse, as if he was standing upright on sheer willpower and adrenaline alone. Bakugou fought the urge to grab him and throttle him, as fragile as he seemed at the moment, like a breathe would knock him over. Instead it was Deku who grabbed him by the arm as if he couldn't believe his eyes alone, and needed the physical confirmation of his presence.
"I'm glad you're okay. I was worried... after you, you know."
Bakugou felt his anger boil back to the surface.
"Worried about me?! What the fuck?! Worry about yourself for fucking once! Do you have any idea how upset everyone was when you took off after nearly dying, and then left only a fucking letter! How worried sick your mom is?! How scared your fucking shitty friends are?!"
He didn't realize he was shaking until he felt Deku's hand slide down his arm slightly.
"I'm sorry Kacchan, I know I should've talked to you in person. But I had to go, and if I had waited, you would have tried to stop me."
"DAMN RIGHT I WOULD HAVE!"
Silence.
"I told you not to do this shit on your own Deku, I told you not to play the hero on your own. Do you not think I'm strong enough to help you?! Are you actually fucking looking down on me this time?!"
"No, of course not! I told you I've never looked down on you. I just....I can't see you get hurt for me again. I can't risk anyone getting hurt again because of me, because I couldn't do anything to protect them....I can't let that happen! I have to do this on my own. OFA was given to me so I could-"
"You're such a fucking idiot. You think you can take down every fucking villain on your own? Take down AFO on your own?"
The little shit had the nerve to smile awkwardly at him, "I've managed fine so far."
Bakugou yanked his arm out of Deku's grasp, and gestured at his whole body.
"This! This is not fine! You're barely standing, you're covered in blood and you look like you haven't slept in weeks. When's the last time you fucking ate? You can't keep this up Deku, even in his prime All Might didn't handle shit like this. And I know I said some real shitty stuff in the past about you being quirkless, but you are more than just OFA's vessel. You were the one to fucking get that through my head.. that we are more than just our quirks. So what the hell?"
"I-"
"Just let me help you Deku."
"But Kacc-"
"Dammit! It took me years to understand that you genuinely wanted to help me not because you thought I was weak, but just because you're a natural born hero and you care about me or some shit. Just..just let me return the favor for once. You don't have to do this alone."
He turned his head away uncomfortably, suddenly acutely aware of how inept he was at expressing himself in these delicate situations.  How was he supposed to get through to Deku? Would this be enough? The nerd always seemed to be able to read him like a book, he hoped that proved to be the case now.
"Ka-"
He felt his eyes sting with unshed tears. He was running out of options, aside from pummeling the nerd into submission. But for once he wanted to chose a different option.
"Please Izuku." He lifted his gaze to meet his child hood friend's. A silent plea hanging in the air.
In the span of seconds that felt like an eternity they kept eye contact and Deku seemed like he was trying to find something in that contact, like a promise, or a confirmation, whatever it was, he finally sighed and lowered his gaze to the ground.
It was barely a whisper.
"Okay."
Bakugou let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.
"Can you walk nerd?" He extended his hand out to the green haired teen who took it right away. He tightened his grip immediately.
"Yeah, but I'm a little sleepy-"
Before Deku could finish, and without a word Bakugou yanked the other teen towards himself and lifted him up. The teen seemed surprisingly small and light in his arms, a far cry from the monstrous visage he painted when they first crossed paths several minutes ago.
As he walked down the blocks and could feel the tension leave Deku's body as his form went slack, he gazed down to see the nerd's eyes slowly closing, he must be exhausted. He kept walking down the vacant streets, on alert for any potential threats, the nerd's weight a comforting presence in his arms.  He assumed the other teen was already unconscious .
He briefly gazed up and saw the stars through the gaps between the building silhouettes, he thought back again to that time in the forest as kids.
He whispered in the dark, "It's okay now, ya' know why? Because I'm here so you're not lost anymore. Let's go back."
If he had looked down a second time he would have seen the subtle but content smile aimed at him. But all he heard was the small, "Thanks, Kacchan." before the teen fell asleep in his arms.

Intense and Passing Infatuation
Summary: Flirting with your crush who doesn't take it seriously? No harm in that right? Right?
Well, Izuku does it anyway. Until the day he said he wouldn't anymore.
(A very self-indulgent bkdk fic that has a tiny bit of past krbk, totally not a thing in the fic. A plot device at most!)
Read it on AO3 Here.
Crush: (noun) an intense and usually passing infatuation.
That’s all it was.
Just a crush.
Izuku was sure of it.
Nevermind Uraraka who said her psychology professor had told them a crush can only last about four months, after that it’s considered being ‘in love’ he was sure love was much too strong of a word.
Nevermind the last year which Izuku spent flirting with his Kacchan, something no one else would dare call him, while also never getting the right response.
“Morning love!” Izuku planted a sweet kiss on Katsuki’s cheek, a normal sight for their friends given the fact that they had witnessed it every day for the last nine months.
“Hey Deku, sleep in again?” Katsuki barely reacted to the kiss now, Izuku loved and hated it. He felt it was progress, just not in quite the right way.
“You mean waking up at the same time I do every Tuesday? It stops being ‘sleeping in’ once I’ve done it for months. And what about you Kacchan? Did you wake up early again today?” Katsuki rolled his eyes at the shorter man’s sass, he should’ve known where that was going.
Their friends all sat around them and waited, they knew if they tried to interject before their morning exchange they would simply be ignored.
“Looking good Kacchan seems like that campus gym treats you well.”
“Not too shabby yourself, nerd.” Katsuki quickly supplied, letting his signature smirk fall into place.
Izuku’s heart fluttered and he smiled back. If only the blonde was serious.
Just a crush. That’s all it was.
Finally, their friends could join the conversation they had waited out the morning kiss and compliment, they would now be acknowledged.
They had aptly claimed a table for eight, a seat for each of them, and two empty ones to house their enormous bags that came with life on a college campus. Sero and Kaminari always sat together, being roommates had been great for both of them. Shinsou and Uraraka sat beside them, knowing they might very well be the only sane ones at the entire table. Lastly, Katsuki and Izuku sat next to each other, across the table from Kaminari and Sero.
Their conversation carried on as normal, eventually, Katsuki turned and noticed Izuku looking at him.
Katsuki simply jutted his chin out questioningly, knowing Izuku would understand his unsaid remark.
“Oh, nothing. Just waiting until you’ll see me as your love interest.” Katsuki really should know the drill by now.
Katsuki smirked once again making Izuku weak in the knees, boy was he glad he was sitting.
“Trust me Deku, you’ll know if you’re my love interest. For now, I’m alright.” Izuku knew the drill too, it was rejection every time. Even so, he couldn’t help but deflate ever so slightly.
“Can we not discuss love interests at the breakfast table? I am trying to eat here.”
“Oh you can tune us out Sero, you should be used to it by now.”
“Or, I have an even better idea! Since it’s been nearly a year you could just, ya know, give up.”
Sero’s statement earned him a few dramatic gasps.
“Blasphemy!”
“Mutiny!” Uraraka jumped in, unprompted.
“Treason!”
“Ugh, they even got you, Kami? I thought Midoriya and Uraraka were the only ones invested in this.” Kaminari shrugged in response, he enjoyed the fun they had.
“Hey, you can’t blame him for trying. You gotta give him that at least.” Shinsou finally spoke up, he could appreciate Izuku’s patience and persistence even if he didn’t know why he used his energy on Katsuki.
“Yes! Exactly thank you Shinsou! I am just going to have to keep trying!”
“I’m not gonna stop you. Who knows I might even fall for ya one day.” Katsuki smirked along with his remark.
“I’ll be waiting.” Izuku winked at him, enjoying the ease of their interaction, even if it was all one-sided.
That’s all it was. Just a silly crush.
“What will it take for you to actually quit?” Sero, it seemed, wasn’t quite finished.
“I’ll quit when Kacchan finds himself falling in love with someone, until then you will all witness my persistence.”
“Deku aren’t you late for your TA spot in critical data analytics?” Katsuki cut in suddenly.
“Ah shit thanks, love! I’ll see you later!”
“No need to thank me sweetheart I only remind you every fucking Tuesday and Thursday.”
Katsuki called Izuku a handful of playful nicknames, the most dangerous of the bunch being ‘sweetheart’. Izuku didn’t know when it started and could only hope for it not to stop.
Katsuki didn’t seem to mind the playful flirting, Izuku would even go as far as to say that he enjoyed it and participated, but he also doesn’t take it seriously. He knew that Katsuki was just playing along.
It was a dangerous game that he couldn’t bring himself to stop playing, after all:
It was just a crush.
“Oh, you’re so sweet but I’m sorry I’m going to have to say no. I’m really not looking for something right now,” Izuku spoke to the taller boy in front of him. Izuku knew he was really sweet and, he can admit when he meets an attractive person but the red and white-haired man had one issue, he wasn’t Katsuki.
The taller man nodded and turned to walk away, leaving Izuku more relieved than he thought he would be.
“He was cute.”
“AH! Kacchan! Don’t sneak up on me like that!” Izuku planted a swift peck on Katsuki’s cheek, they hadn’t seen each other all day.
“Whatever, you just get scared too fucking easily. Anyway who was the dude? You totally could’ve gone out with him.” Izuku sighed, he didn’t want to explain that he turned down the critical data analytics hottie, Todoroki, because he was already crushing on someone but what other reason was there.
“Oh, he’s a student in the class that I TA for, I’m sure there’s some kind of rule against that or something. Plus he’s been with, like, at least three people I know, he was probably just looking for a new piece.”
Katsuki shrugged in response, seemingly accepting Izuku’s reasoning. The pair walked towards their meeting spot where they were going to join the rest of their friends for pizza.
“So how’s that crush coming?” Katsuki smirked at Izuku, the only thing that kept his knees from swaying was the sheer disbelief at the question he was asked. He quickly pulled himself together to answer.
“Well, if you must know, he’s been trying to pimp me out. Just recently he tried to get me to go out with someone!”
Katsuki hummed in response, “It’s been around a year I’ve heard. Is that right?”
“I hate to say it but I can’t disagree, a year sounds about right. I’d like to say I’m making progress but he might not be so inclined to agree.”
“I’ve heard through the shitty grapevine gossip central that our school is that progress is different for everyone but he seems to be making some of his own, although I’ve heard he’s still not too sure himself.”
Izuku wanted to gawk at Katsuki’s nonchalance, he held it together though.
“Is that so? Huh, if that's true it might be time I tell him about you, love.”
“Oh sweetheart, I’m sure he’s aware, probably just fucking confused as to why you keep going.”
Izuku stopped their walk, he knew they had just been teasing but he wanted to make sure the part he was serious about came through. Katsuki noticed a few steps later and stopped and made his way back, facing Izuku.
“I’m going to keep trying until you are taken.”
“And when that happens?”
“Then it’s my time to stop.”
Katsuki didn’t respond, he simply looked at Izuku. The fierceness of his gaze made warmth blossom on the back of Izuku’s neck.
“You can’t look at me like that. I’m just gonna kiss that expression right off your face.” Izuku whispered, he was trying to lighten the atmosphere.
“Why don't you.” Katsuki’s expression changed into a smirk, almost as if he knew the effect it had on Izuku. Instinctually, Izuku’s eyes flickered down to Katsuki’s pink lips, almost tempting him to follow through.
“You are one cruel man, Kacchan.” Izuku snapped himself out of his trance and stepped back before turning and continuing their journey to their friends.
It was just a crush, even if everyone knew about it.
The group enjoyed their night together, they all needed it after the month they had been having with school. The end of the night came much too quickly for everyone.
After whatever moment they had on their way to the restaurant, Izuku was ready to lie down. He paid his portion of the bill and planned on sneaking out, knowing he would see everyone in the morning, he had no such luck.
“Where are you sneaking off to sweetheart? You didn’t even say bye to the rest of the shit heads.”
“As if I won’t see everyone in less than twelve hours back on campus! I was just going to get home and grade papers for Tuesday.”
“You could’ve at least come and said bye to me, you’ve barely said a damn thing to me tonight.”
“Well then, bye love I’ll see you tomorrow. Get back safe and don’t forget to water your plants, I know you hate when they start to wilt.”
“Now that’s better, I’ll see you tomorrow, you damn nerd.”
Izuku finally made it out, he let out a long sigh. He was in much too deep with this man.
Honestly, it wasn’t just a crush.
Kirishima Eijiro.
Apparently, that was the name of the guy in Izuku’s seat on Thursday. He had woken up later, as usual, and made his way to the table everyone had breakfast. As he approached though, he noticed his seat was not empty. He was going to go straight to Katsuki for his morning kiss but even from far away, he could see the look on his face.
He brought with him Izuku’s time to stop.
Izuku quickly veered into the nearest bathroom to collect himself, he had no clue what to do. Once he felt better he made his way back towards the table.
“Hey Shinsou, I’m going to move your bag over so I can sit.” Izuku kept his voice low, he didn’t need any extra attention, Uraraka had already shot him a sympathetic look.
Once he was seated his friends greeted him.
“Morning guys.”
“Oh hey! We haven’t met, I’m Kirishima!”
“Nice to meet you, I’m Midoriya.” Izuku felt his phone vibrate, Uraraka had sent him a text. “On and off ex-boyfriend of baku's”
Izuku’s eyes widened and he stilled, he needed to think of something quick there was no way he could stay there. He luckily caught a glimpse of the time.
“Oh shit, I have to go. I don’t want to be late for uh, um... Fuck, critical data analytics, that's what it is. I’ll see you guys later!” Izuku grabbed his stuff and quickly left, that was the first time all semester that he had remembered on his own.
Now, there was no way Katsuki could know that it was anything more than just a crush.
Izuku held strong for two days, for two days he went to the table and saw the clear entrancement written all over Katsuki’s face whenever Kirishima spoke, he never once kissed Katsuki’s cheek in Kirishima’s presence and they were never far behind each other. There was no more sweetheart and love, just the bare pleasantries Izuku could muster.
After his two days he couldn’t handle it, he began going straight to his classes, catching up with his friends in their rooms. It was the first time he and Uraraka had time alone when everything truly went to shit.
“Look, they were best friends in high school and started dating halfway through, they were on and off for months when they went to different schools until they were finally done for good, a little while before you met him. Now that Kirishima is here, I really don’t know what’s going to happen.” Izuku took a calming breath before he responded.
“I always said if he found someone I would stop. I stopped and he doesn’t even care so everything’s fine. Why don't we review for your math exam? I made flashcards for you.”
Uraraka was suspicious, but she went along with him. The pair spent the rest of the night studying and Izuku continued to avoid their table.
He had to figure out how to get it back to just a crush.
Turns out that staying in your dorm gets quite boring. With the amount of extra work Izuku had offered to take on he had better win “TA of the Year” if it was a thing. Nearly two weeks had gone by with Izuku’s new schedule, he never did like change. He finally had his first misstep.
“OI Deku!”
Shit.
Two weeks of carefully planned avoidance, out the window.
“Oh hey, I didn’t even see you two.” Of course, the first time he interacts with Katsuki after two weeks, Kirishima would be with him.
“Nice to see you again dude!” Of course, he just had to be super nice too.
“Yeah yeah. Listen Kirishima I gotta talk to Deku real quick, go ahead I’ll meet you guys later.”
Izuku’s eyes widened, he wasn’t ready to be with Katsuki alone!
Kirishima nodded and walked away, leaving Izuku and Katsuki standing in the middle of the hallway.
“Where the fuck have you been? I’ve barely seen you in the last two weeks.”
“Oh um, I’ve just been busy with teaching, Professor Aizawa has me leading classes now.” Izuku held back the urge to keep talking, if he started he probably wouldn’t stop until he said something that he didn’t mean to.
“Tch, that’s never stopped you before, hasn’t the guy been giving you a shit load of work all semester?”
“Well yeah, but he has me writing lesson plans and leading lectures now, even if he takes over most of the time. I’ve just been trying to keep up, doesn’t leave time for much else.” He can only make so much stuff up.
“But you always leave time fo- whatever. When is the guy gonna lay off?”
“Uh not sure, probably closer to finals so I’ll have time to study?” Izuku glanced at his watch and noticed he only had two minutes to make it to critical data analytics. “Ah shit, I’m running late I have to go.” Izuku quickly turned and continued making his way to his class, but he didn’t get too far before he heard the last thing Katsuki had to say.
“I’m supposed to be the one that says you’re running late.”
Izuku fought the urge to turn around, it would only give him hope he couldn’t afford.
Just a crush, just a crush, just a crush. It became a mantra.
Izuku was finally let out of his last class for the day, he really hated Thursdays, they were long and drawn out, and seeing Katsuki hadn’t helped like it normally would.
“Deku wait up!” Speak of the devil.
Izuku watched, frozen, as Katsuki made his way towards him. Completely and utterly alone.
“Kac- um Bak- what's up?” Izuku could barely stutter his way through a greeting, he seriously wasn’t prepared for this.
Katsuki met him with a strange look, before deciding to respond.
“Aren’t you forgetting something?”
“No, I don’t think so? I have my bag…” Of course Izuku wasn’t, he had to keep himself from planting a swift kiss on Katsuki’s cheek every time he saw him, he had to.
“What the hell Deku?! You go MIA for two weeks, and when I finally see you again it’s like everything is different! What the fuck happened?”
“What do you mean? I told you I’ve just been busy.” He knew exactly what Katsuki was talking about, he just couldn’t bring himself to admit it.
“You know exactly what I mean! Two weeks ago you came and had breakfast with me every day. You called me love and Kacchan and every time you saw me you gave me a kiss! Now you will barely even fucking talk to me! So let me ask again, what the fuck happened?”
Izuku felt like he could barely breathe, what was he supposed to do? He wasn't ready for any of this.
He tried to calm himself with a deep breath, he couldn’t just stand there and act dumb no matter how much he wanted to.
“Look, I-”
“I don’t want to hear whatever excuse you’re trying to come up with. The truth Deku.”
“I always told you that, when the time came, I would stop all of that. Well, the time came and I wasn’t ready so I had to do what I had to do.”
“Now you just aren’t making sense. What the fuck do you mean stop? Who said you had to stop?”
“I did. I always said when you find yourself inevitably falling for someone else I would stop. Now you have Kirishima and I stopped.”
“Wha- What the fuck is that supposed to-”
“Kacchan! It doesn’t take a genius to see the way you look at him. It’s, it’s the same way I looked at you when I started to fall in love.”
Wait.
Shit.
That came out of his mouth.
That was never supposed to leave his brain.
Fuck.
Now there was no way he could get anyone to believe that it was only a crush.
Katsuki wasn’t faring much better. He seemed frozen, although Izuku couldn’t pinpoint why. Obviously hearing that someone is in love with you will do that but he couldn’t be sure if it was shock, disgust, or something entirely different in its own right.
He didn’t want to find out.
“Uh, I have to go, bye.”
“No! Deku wait!”
That’s all Izuku heard before he took off, he could handle a lot but flat-out rejection was not a part of that list.
Katsuki knew it was never ‘just a crush.’
Izuku simply shut himself away, he was luckily done for the week, having strategically chosen to have a long weekend while making his schedule. He emailed Aizawa the grades for the quiz he administered and decided that was enough. He didn’t want to try and explain himself to anyone or have anyone pity him.
Therefore, when he heard the knock on his dorm room door, he assumed his roommate simply forgot his key.
He was wrong.
He opened the door to see a more composed-looking Katsuki. He could only hope his eyes weren’t rimmed with red.
“What are you doing here?” Izuku’s voice was soft, he was just glad his arm didn’t instinctually slam the door, that would not have gone well.
“What am I doing here? You’re seriously going to ask what the fuck I’m doing here?” Izuku noted that Katsuki seemed more frantic than anything, maybe his composed demeanor was for show.
Izuku took in a breath and moved aside, gesturing for Katsuki to come in, this wasn’t something an unfortunate bystander needed to witness.
Once safely inside his room, the pair waited, they waited for someone to start talking, for some answers.
Katsuki finally snapped.
“Why didn’t you tell me?!”
“Right because everything else I have done was specifically to hide the fact.” Izuku hadn’t meant to sound so teasing but he had nothing else.
“You know what I mean!”
“Okay, I didn’t say anything because… well because I didn’t want anything to change! As much as the consistent rejection hurt at least it was lowball, we were still friends! We still hung out! I was still allowed to shamelessly flirt with you! I was actually planning on telling you but then everything with Kirishima, and well I just couldn’t bring myself to ruin tha-”
“What the fuck are you talking about? That's the second time you have thrown him into this, this is between us why are you bringing him up?”
“Come on, Uraraka told me you guys were a thing, and she told me that you guys broke it off because you went to different schools, now that's not an issue anymore! The way you look at him shows how much he means to you.”
“Deku, he was my best friend for years that I hadn’t seen for about two years. I was shocked to see him and I seriously forgot how good it was before we dated!” Katsuki steeled himself with a breath.
“Look Deku, since he’s been here Kirishima has been up my ass about what the fuck was going on with me. He hadn’t seen me for nearly two years and he knew something was up with me. That day we ran into you outside of your class, he told me something. He told me that he was going to ask me out and then didn’t. All because of the way I reacted when we ran into you. He said I was more myself for the minute he saw me with you than I had been for the previous two weeks. Now, what the fuck does that tell you Deku?”
Izuku stood in shock, he really didn’t know what to say. There was a short pause before Izuku began to speak again.
“I don’t kn-”
“Nope. I don’t want to hear any bull shit. It took me way too fucking long to realize all of this and that was after someone told me to my face that I need to figure out my shit with you. Right now I just need to know if… if I’m too late.”
Izuku’s knees came out from under him, he fell backward onto his bed, thankful that he didn’t crack open his skull.
He was having a hard time understanding. There was no way Katsuki meant what Izuku thought he meant. No, that would mean… well, too much for Izuku to think through.
“Deku…?”
“I’m sorry. I think I’m just having a hard time understanding what you’re telling me.”
Katsuki used all of his remaining restraint to not grab the man in front of him and shake him until everything fell into place.
“Deku, what I’m telling you is that I was fucking wrong. I thought that everything between us was purely friendly and it was just a fun thing we did. I’m telling you that every time I turn someone down the reason in my mind is you. I am telling you that, if you will still consider me after every single shitty thing that has happened, I want to be with you. I am telling you that what I feel for you isn’t just some stupid fucking crush. Even if it took shitty hair telling me that I look at you like you hung the stars for me to realize it.”
Izuku blinked a few tears from his eyes. There was no room for misunderstanding and both of them knew it. Izuku couldn’t even think of a proper response, he simply threw himself forward and wrapped himself tightly around Katsuki.
Katsuki let out a shaky breath and returned the hug, basking in the warmth he had been missing since Izuku had been away.
“You know what nerd? Now it’s my turn.” Katsuki swiftly leaned forward and placed a small kiss on Izuku’s cheek, mirroring the action Izuku had done plenty of times before.
As Katsuki pulled back Izuku faced him properly, letting his gaze slip down to Katsuki’s pink lips, silently asking for permission. Katsuki wasted no time, they had done enough of that already.
It was perfect, their lips fit together better than puzzle pieces. It was instant gratification, a satisfaction so great, they were keen to never stop. Alas, they did need to breathe.
Once they pulled apart Izuku looked Katsuki up and down, in a way that gave him the chills.
“It took over a year of shameless flirting, cute nicknames, and trying to fend off anyone who had eyes but damn are you so worth it.”
Katsuki flushed darkly, something he wasn’t accustomed to doing, and simply stared back.
“To answer your question, of course, I’d still consider you. As long as you’re my ‘love’ I’ll consider you.”
“I will be your ‘love’ as long as you are my ‘sweetheart’ how does that sound?”
“That sounds like the perfect thing for the two most stubborn people on this planet. Does that mean I get to finally say that you’re my boyfriend?”
“Well either you say it or I will, every shitty extra in this place is going to know where they stand, let me tell you it is nowhere near you.”
Izuku smiled, he could get used to this. In response he kissed his new boyfriend, letting out a pleased hum due to how familiar the feeling was starting to become already.
Izuku couldn’t believe he ever thought it was only a crush.

Been Waiting on You (BkDk V-day Short)
it’s a day late, but still enjoy this tiny fluff
There was no reason it should be so hard to get someone's attention.
Izuku had never had so much trouble getting time with Katsuki.  Even when the blond was in the worse of moods, he could still get him alone for training or something to help him destress.
But not today. Today, he couldn't even get a moment with him.  He started in the morning, sitting next to him at breakfast.  Before he could open his mouth, Katsuki had stood, meal half-finished, and walked out.  It was a surprise to his friends as much as Izuku.
It went like that through the day.  He would try to get even a moment with Katsuki, only to be spurned.  He was left, even if he was in the middle of a conversation.
It was a Sunday: there was no class, no excuses of places to be.  Everyone was busy, either paired off or hanging in a group to stave off the oppression of the day.
Izuku had been emboldened when Katsuki had shown to be one of the ones not in pairs.  He had a moment he was worried that Kirishima was hovering, but the blond dismissed him when he ran away from Izuku.  Later on, he saw the red head leading Todoroki off, and it gave him a breath of relief.
Now if only he could corner Katsuki.
By the end of the day, Izuku was visibly distressed.  He was already nervous about his intentions, but to have Katsuki actively running from him, he was having second thoughts.  He wanted to talk to his friends, the ones who psyched him up, but he didn't want to bother them.  They were all busy, doing the same things he wanted.
One last turn of the cheek, and Izuku gave up.  He threw his hands up in the air and left the dormitory for some time alone.  He went into some thickets in the more wooded parts of the complex.  It was cold, and he only had a thin coat, but he didn't plan to be out there long.
He needed a moment.
"Oi, nerd."
Izuku looked up from his book to see the elusive blond in front of him.  "Katchan?"
Katsuki's brow was furrowed as he stared down at Izuku, scrutinizing him.  "What are you doing?"
Izuku only stuttered, not sure how to answer at first.  "Um, reading?"
Katsuki continued to glare at him.  It was only after squinting in the setting sun light, that Izuku noticed it: he was blushing.
"What did you want?"
"Want?"
Katsuki groaned and waved him off.  "You've been after me all day, so out with it."
Izuku blinked. Slowly, he stood up, to face him just a little better, even with their difference in height.
"After you?"
Katsuki rolled his eyes. "Don't play dumb."
"Why have you been running away?"
He scoffed, but his indigence meant nothing when he turned away, unable to look at Izuku. "I haven't been running away, idiot."
Izuku smiled a little. When he was nervous, he was so—
"What made you come find me?"
Katsuki glanced back at him, not speaking at first.  As the quiet went on, a wind picked up, and Izuku shivered at the bite.
"Fucking moron."
Katsuki shrugged off his jacket, and before Izuku could protest, the garment was over his shoulders. He started to take it off, but was stilled by the blond's glare.  Instead, he pulled it tighter around himself, taking in the scent.
"...go to dinner with me."
They were both quiet at the request.
"That why you've been chasing me?"
Izuku nodded before hiding his blushing faces in the warm jacket of his childhood friend.
Katsuki took in a breath. "Fine."  His voice was a lot more natural than Izuku was expecting.
"Really?" He came out to ask the question.
Katsuki grinned. "But only if I get to pick the place."
Izuku laughed. "Okay, Katchan."
They both smiled. It was soft and slow, but natural and warm.  Katsuki turned and gestured him to his side, a silent instruction Izuku instantly followed. He leaned in close, stealing so much of his heat as he could as they walked off campus, together.

This fic was created for the BKDK Unbirthday Party (Twitter) for prompt #G-0181: (Coffeeshop AU where Izuku accidentally sends katsuki (guest) to hospital after messing up the order submitted by Celestial)
Bakudeku one-shot. Coffee house AU
Ugh! Why’d the coffeehouse have to be so busy today of all days? It was as if the customers knew he’d stayed up late the night before and only managed three hours of sleep. Top it off with co-worker Denki calling out, and that left Izuku Midoriya alone with just one other employee who manned the food offerings.
Izuku wipes the sweat off his brow as he finishes one latte and side-eyes the clock in one swoop. Just one more hour to go until the next shift comes in. ‘Yosh! You can do this Izu! Then die at home curled in bed till the morning.’
He faces the next customer in line, screwing on the bright smile he was known for. “What can I get for you sir?”
Ruby eyes glare back at him. “Large mocha with a double shot of espresso.”
“One mocha double!” Izuku rings up the man’s total and quickly whips up the drink. His body was running on muscle memory at this point having made these drinks so many times before. A mocha was simple enough, chocolate, steamed milk, espresso, done. “Here you go sir.”
“Faster then, usual nerd.” The man grabs his drink and walks away to a nearby table.
‘Never fails,’ Izuku remarks as he moves onto the next customer. The blonde man loved making snide remarks, but he’s never said anything about it because he was also a regular. According to the other coffeehouse employees, blondie only came in when Izuku was working. ‘Probably likes picking on guys like me?’ And today was no different. He sat at a table reading a newspaper with his coffee, staying for thirty minutes or so. Then he repeats the processes the next day.
“Here you go ma’am, one cappuccino.”
Just as Izuku is handing off another drink, a sudden commotion stirs up in the dining area. He looks up to see blondie clutching his throat and surrounding customers panicking. “He can’t breathe!” Someone shouts. More words are thrown. Allergy, nuts, emergency! The baristas eyes blow wide open. Izuku screams at his coworker Uraraka to call for an ambulance and rushes over to the fallen man.
“H-Hold on mister!” Izuku does his best to calm the situation despite the white noise gathering in his eardrums. “Help is coming!”
“H-Haz—el... hazel—nut...” blondie gasps out. “Allerg...all—gic...”
Oh, fuck! Did he mix hazelnut instead of chocolate into the coffee?! “Oh my god,” the panic sets in. “Oh my god, I-I didn’t mean to! Please hold on sir!” If his stupid mistake kills this man, he’ll never forgive himself.
“F-Fucking nerd...”
Tears exploded from Izuku’s eyes, but all he could do was apologize over and over again as the man gasped and struggled to breathe. The blondes lips were taking on a bluish-purple color, hives breaking out along his skin, and his eyes rolling back.
“N-No, no stay awake sir! Stay awake!” He continues to shake the man by the shoulders as sirens resonate outside. Everything was a blur, just him and the customer with hushed conversations of concern all around them. “Please don’t die mister!”
Once the medics rush into the room, Izuku steps back to give them space. He knew procedures during an emergency was to clear the restaurant of customers and secure the cash register, but he couldn’t think straight. All he could do was watch helplessly as they load the man onto a gurney and whisk him away. Luckily, Uraraka had already taken control, phoned the manager, and set about following protocols.
After everything is secure, she tells him to go. “I’ll wait for the manager, so you go check on the customer and keep us informed.”
Like a mindless zombie, he manages a nod, clocks out, and sheds his apron.
“Hey, try not to be too hard on yourself. It was an honest mistake.”
“That might have killed a man.” More moisture pools in Izuku’s eyes. “I like him too... why’d it have to be him?”
Uraraka’s eyes soften. “Izu, just get going, okay?”
“O-Okay.”
The cab ride over to the hospital felt like a death march to meet his fate. All the life was sucked away, the scenery a kaleidoscope of muted colors as his mind raced through each moment of that afternoon. It was all his fault. Staying up late, being tired, rushing, rushing, rushing to keep up with the demands of a barista. Multi-tasking was supposed to be his forte, his pride in always getting the orders right and made quickly. But this time he’d screwed up in the worst way possible.
At the emergency room, the intake person waves him off to the side to wait. The doctors were still working to stabilize blondie, so all he could do was sit there and hope the man came out of the allergic shock. It was a nerve wracking wait that Izuku spent fighting against every horrible outcome. Can you go to jail for something like this? If the man dies, is that manslaughter?! Oh, who was he kidding. He deserved to be punished. Minimally his boss should fire him for being reckless. ‘Please don’t die...’
“Sir, you can go in now. He’s in room 14.” Technically, since he wasn’t family or even a friend, the hospital shouldn’t have let him visit. But because they had no other contacts for the man, and Izuku was clearly upset and shaken over the incident, they must have taken pity on him. Blondie was alive and unconscious. The medications were flushing his body of the toxins and countering the allergic reaction, but he would probably have to stay in the hospital overnight for observations.
When Izuku enters the small room, he sees the man tucked tightly under a blanket. His eyes are closed and IV lines trail to a machine that’s monitoring vital signs. The tears pool again at the horrible sight. Beeps from the machine echo in the silent room as constant reminders of the gravity of the situation.
“Mister...” he sits beside the man’s bed and takes a limp hand in his own. “I’m so sorry.” His head hangs down, “please wake up.”
A whole year had gone by since the first-time blondie had started frequenting the coffeehouse. The man always tipped and always made some kind of comment. Rarely any nice ones, but he’d grown used to it and over time, Izuku wasn’t sure when it’d started, but there came a point in time that he waited and looked forward to each visit.
It wasn’t uncommon to have cute customers come in that the baristas ogled over. Dating customers wasn’t forbidden, just frowned upon because they didn’t want drama to arise. So, Izuku kept his growing crush under wraps. Not that he felt he’d had a chance anyway. Mister blondie looked like a power player. Tall, trim, fit nicely in a tailored suit, while he was just a small, geeky guy with messy green hair and a face full of freckles. He didn’t even know if the man was gay. Oh, his co-workers thought he was. They were convinced his routine coffee trips were too conveniently made during Izuku’s shift alone.
All the tears and turmoil took its toll on the exhausted barista. The four hours of sleep catching up with Izuku before he even knows it. Hours pass by as fitful dreams torture him. Flashbacks of the coffeehouse, of happy times with his co-workers. There he is Izu, your knight in shining business suit! He turns around only to find a red-eyed dragon glaring down at him. A loud roar, screams echoing around them. Panic, fear sweeping through as customers and employees scramble away. The dragon roars, loud, reverberating chills to his core. Izuku’s scream catches in his throat as the beast picks him up with a clawed hand. It’s punishment time nerd!
“But I didn’t mean it!” Izuku whimpers, “please forgive me! I’d never want to hurt you!”
“Oi, if you’re gonna be noisy go away nerd.”
Awaken by the voice and a squeeze of his hand, the groggy barista raises his head off the bed. “M-mister?” The dream fades away to be replaced by a hospital room and redeyes narrowed at him. “Mister you’re back!” Moisture fills Izuku’s eyes. “I’m so glad you’re back!”
“Yeah, yeah, didn’t know you were trying to get rid of me so badly.”
“What?! I-I didn’t— it was an accident mister, I swear!”
“Stop calling me mister. I got a name nerd, use it.”
“M-Mister Bakugou. Please forgive me. I didn’t mean for this to happen to you. I-It’s all my fault but you’re one of our best customers and we wouldn’t want to lose you. I’ll resign if it makes you feel better, just please do not punish the cafe.”
“Tch, if you leave, I won’t go back cause you’re the only reason I go there.”
“Huh? But why?”
“I changed my mind, you're not a nerd, you’re an idiot. Nerds are smart and you are completely clueless.” Bakugou groans and closes his eyes. “Or I’m the idiot for liking you. Either way, it was just an allergic reaction so don’t worry too m...” he feels the hand slip from his and quickly opens his eyes expecting to see the man leaving. “Midoriya?” But instead he sees one leg still on the chair and the rest of Izuku’s body collapsed on the ground. “Yup, I’m the idiot.”
Bakugou gets off his bed and despite being a little tired from the treatment, manages to pull the smaller male off the floor, rolling him onto the bed. He then slides back on and pulls him close, so he doesn’t fall off. These hospital beds weren’t built for two people, but he made it work. ‘This little mouse fits perfectly in my arms.’
He didn’t like admitting it, but that’s what attracted him to Izuku in the first place. Seeing Izuku’s bubbly personality at the coffeehouse. Always bright and cheerful despite his grumpy comments. The fact the man was hard working was a plus. And yes, because he was small and adorable.
As the heir and VP to a family corporation, Bakugou had to be tough and serious, but what he saw in Izuku was a chance for the opposite at least in his personal life. Frankly, the man reminded him of his father. His mom was clearly the one in control, but because his father was her balance who kept the woman grounded. Bakugou wanted that too. So far, his search had turned up nothing until the day he walked into the Plus Ultra Coffee & Tea.
“Am dreaming? Like...” Izuku mumbles. “Yes,” he curls his body in to hide his blushing face. “You, too.”
‘Does this guy always mumble in his sleep?’ Bakugou shakes Izuku gently. “Time to wake up mouse. We can’t stay in the emergency room forever.”
Izuku pops up. Emergency room?! His eyes flare wide. “W-Why?! Oh no, did I fall asleep?!” He looks around. ‘Why am I in the bed?!’ “Mister Bakugou! S-Sorry!” He scrambles off, “I’m so sorry!”
“Don’t be, I put you there nerd. Now come on,” Bakugou holds out a hand, “I’ll take you home.”

bkdk k-pop (BTS) AU: Chapter 2- Half A Spot
It was choreography lessons starting today, and Bakugou was pumped. He was going to kill this session- AND trump any move that that Midoriya fellow had up his sleeve. Izuku Midoriya- maybe he was talented and kind of a genius- or maybe he just got lucky that day at auditions. If they were both competing for the same spot- there’s no way someone like him could win this.
Katsuki followed his green head across the room as he bowed and smiled at everybody. Does he really think he can gain brownie points by just smiling with his stupid freckles and his pretty face. Like hell. Skill and a powerful aura like his own will definitely take precedence. He can wipe the floor with everyone else in this group.
Izuku.. even the kanji was all wrong- it looked more like a De-ku to him, worthless- just a smiling face. However, through the morning, Deku had kept pace with him, he got his positions right, he wasn’t one step behind or one step ahead of the choreographer. Katsuki wasn’t going to stoop down to that level of considering sabotage to secure his spot- but it looked like the rest of the room was ready to do it. It was lunch time now, and Deku was walking towards him, towel over his neck. Sweaty bastard, coming over to play nice with his rival- the balls on this guy. But Bakugou wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction. He would stay stoic, and practically stone faced- no matter how nice he was. “Kacchan right? I saw you dance today for the first time- you’re amazing?? I can’t believe I get to dance with you- it’s great to be able to keep pace with you so far!”, he smiled up at him meekly. It was clear the man meant well, and it was a genuine compliment. Izuku was in fact blown away by the guy. He could see now why the company wanted him, even if he had a temper. He’d be an asset- his stamina, his will power and how he bursts with energy at every jump- Katsuki Bakugou was a force to be reckoned with. “Ka-WHAT??” There goes his plan to stay stone faced. “What the hell did you call me??”, his face went redder by the second. His competition, a grown ass man had just dared to call him ‘chan’, in front of 20 other people, no less. “Oh uhh- Kacchan.. like Katsuki-chan”, Izuku blanched a little seeing his face. “YEAH I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME- I’M BAKUGOU SAN TO YOU GOT IT??” He was raging, and he wasn’t entirely sure why. If anybody else had said it, they’d have gotten the cold shoulder and a silent death stare. This man, however, was crossing the line and he deserved an earful for it. Bakugou was redder than a tomato as he sputtered and yelled in his face while the producers and choreographers watched. Deku shrunk visibly, “Right right- Bakuou san! I’m s-sorry- I didn’t mean to upset you- just calm down will you? You look like you’re about to get a heart attack- Don’t get me wrong, you look very young but there’s new statistics coming out every day about younger people getting heart attacks- a-and that’s the last thing I want for you Kach-BAKUGOU SAN”
Katsuki stopped, his mouth wide open. The red on his face didn’t seem to be going away. Piece of shit was concerned for his heart now?? That’s when he noticed the mess he’d caused- everyone was watching the scene, pitying Deku and villainizing him instead no doubt. With a heavy sigh and a hand raised to his forehead, he took a few deep breaths before nodding indignantly. After waiting a bit for the rest to return to their lunches, he turned to the greenet, having cornered him into the wall. Bending down a little to put his face very close to his, something he hadn’t pulled on anyone till his rowdier days in high school, he whispered harshly, “Just- stay out of my damn way- and don’t you dare patronize me- I know your game, and I’m winning this- DEKU-“ His red pupils glinted at him menacingly. He wasn’t here to make friends. Izuku looked up at him, a little terrified at his behaviour. He blinked at him, confused at this response to his friendliness. Guess Kacchan really- really didn’t like him. They were competing for the same spot, but none of his words had been patronizing- he’d meant every one. Could he perhaps, explain that to the explosive blond male bending over him like he’d break his legs any second..? No, he probably shouldn’t even try. His emerald green eyes looked into his for a second before darting away. He held his hands up against the other’s chest in defense. “I understand- I won’t bother you again..”, his voice was solemn as he gave in, not wanting to make matters worse. “Good-“, the blond said in finality and backed away at the touch of his hand. A small wave of embarrassment washed over him at his own behaviour. He really was behaving like a child around him, and he didn’t like it either. Katsuki was still pretty worked up however. “..Deku?”, the other male’s voice sounded questioningly. Without a second’s hesitation the words shout out of his mouth, “Worthless- because that’s what you are-“ Katsuki’s stone face was finally making an appearance. He turned and walked away then, taking a bite out of his sandwich. He was starving, and that’s all he’d managed to get to eat for the day. As he took another bite, he felt himself calming down. He’d been shitty to this Midoriya, but he had to give it his all- he had to get this job, even if it meant intimidating the other guy out of it. Izuku, back where he’d left him, was frowning. The word stuck in his mind- worthless. He’d felt that way for the better part of his life, having to struggle through school, put himself through several jobs and have to be at home to take care of his mother. He had known he was nothing special. But he had kept on believing anyway- that the school dances and the neighborhood crew hadn’t meant nothing. He’d worked hard every damn day of his life, to get what he wants, and he’d kept on believing. Someone like this blond, coming in here and blowing everyone away with his skills- he was a genius, he’d been marvelled at from the get-go and Izuku could see that. But someone like him- perfect in every way- he couldn’t tear down his dream with one word. Izuku would not let him. Kacchan will just have to see for himself, how much value he had, and he would show him for the rest of the week till he himself got picked for the spot. With a look of strong resolve on his face, Izuku joined the group after he finished eating his packed katsudon. The rest of the day went well, Katsuki and Izuku seemed to be competing more now, or so it seemed to the producers. They were both impeccable, and wouldn’t miss a beat. The sweatier and more tired they got, the harder they focused on their movements. As different as they both were from each other, this was how they came together- the same, relentless perseverance and hunger to be better than they last were. That was the last time they spoke to each other for the week. As the days of went on, they each came to the studio, glared at each other from across the room, and followed the instructor’s routine. Then they’d sit very far from each other for lunch, and resume the session after, till evening time. On the very last day of choreography week, the company staff had prepared a closing speech and snacks. Katsuki stood by the table, stuffing cake in his mouth between taking big gulps of water. He clapped and bowed like everybody else when the producer was done speaking his bit. This was it- they’d reveal who wins the spot today. They’d had a week to decide, it was now or never. And sure enough, the head choreographer came by. “Bakugou- we’d like you to stay till after everyone leaves-“, he said quietly with a smile. It was the kind of confident smile you give a winner when breaking the good news. Bakugou practically beamed at the man and nodded gratefully. He even bowed a little and watched him go.   I did it.. I got the job.. He waited for the others to leave, his head swimming with all the things that would change in his life. He’d be able to move to a better apartment, finally- maybe pay off some loans he’d taken. He’d be able to buy a car!? And best of all, he could dance as much as he wanted- no more having to scrape shit off of pans and wait tables for extra cash.
A glowing Bakugou waited and smiled at the producers one by one, who smiled back. The room cleared out slowly but surely, and before he knew it- it was just him standing in front of them. He couldn’t keep it in anymore, so he moved forward to shake their hands, smiling much wider than they’d seen him do so far. He opened his mouth to say the words, when somebody else seemed to beat him to it. “Thank you so much for the opportunity sir- I won’t disappoint you! I can’t believe it!”, his voice sounded loud and clear. Katsuki turned to see motherfucking Deku- beaming and shaking hands with the company officials- even the staff, the lighting and camera crew. What the fuck was happening?
“What- what’s the meaning of this-“, the blond started. Izuku seemed to notice him then too, and his smile was slowly disappearing. He was confused now, he’d been sure the producer had asked him to stay back, so why was Katsuki Bakugou here with him?? “Uh- is there another round for us to go through?”, the greenet could only think of this explanation, his eyes not leaving the other’s feral gaze. One of the music producers stepped forward with a reassuring smile. She looked at the other officials before continuing, “Well, this season, we were supposed to only have one spot open for hire- we were going to put your talents to use wherever we needed you- maybe groom you further to go solo- but..” She smiled wider and raised her hands, as if in awe. The other man took over then, “But we figured you’re both so good- and so well tuned with each other- we could take you both, make an exception! Our choreographers were very impressed with your form and style-“ The head choreographer continued, “We put our heads together and decided there’s something for the both of you if things go as planned-“ The two rivals stood still, listening to their words. Izuku looked at Katsuki, then looked back at the man. “Well- that’s fine by me, as long as I get the job- I’m happy for.. Bakugou san as well”, he ventured slowly, his eyes trailing back to the blond’s face. Katsuki on the other hand, kept silent. They both get the job? Something was up- this was Big Hit- they had very high selection criteria and you had to be lucky to get an audition slot, let alone get hired by them. He refused to believe another spot had magically been created to accommodate them both. “Well- you do both get the job.. “, the main producer continued, but his tone had changed. He looked visibly wary of saying the next part. “As long as you dance together- we’re thinking of putting you two in a group” The choreographer sipped at his coffee, his eyes darting between the clearly flustered Midoriya, and.. was Bakugou vibrating slightly? Oh dear.. “WHAT? US TOGETHER?? WHAT PART OF US SINGS HARMONY EXACTLY?”, the blond spat out- his finger jerked between Deku and himself. The head producer stepped forward to speak, but before he did, Bakugou yelled yet again directing his words at his competitor this time. “I WILL NOT TAKE HALF A SPOT- I’M TAKING HIS SPOT- DEKU’S SPOT IS MINE- I DESERVE AN ENTIRE SPOT-“ “Katsuki.. this is our final offer- if it’s not what you’re suited to- I’m sorry to say Izuku will be taking the job from you”, the man spoke with a steely gaze fixed on the exploding blond, who now seemed to deflate. “I speak on the behalf of the rest of the company in voicing our honest opinion- you did not make it easy for us to pick you after seeing your lack of cooperative spirit- and your temper”
He sounded even sterner. This was bad, Bakugou had already pushed his luck. “Having said that- the only reason you’re here now is merit- you earned your spot fair and square, our decision was based on us banking hard on your talent and work ethic- but if you do leave now, I think we might just dodge this bullet- save ourselves from dealing with your lack of sportsmanship later on-“ Bakugou stood there, humbled even somewhat humiliated. He bowed his head slightly and spoke in a low voice, “I.. apologize for my behaviour- I am very grateful for the opportunity- of course I will take it-“ That was the truth. He needed this job, even if it meant having to work together with this.. this.. “It’ll be great working with you Bakugou san!” He was beaming right at him, freckles and all.
Izuku wasn’t especially comfortable with the new arrangement, but seeing the blond’s demeanour change just now- it gave him hope. It had been clear to him over the week that Kacchan was a very proud young man- his ego knew no bounds. And yet, in this moment, he was willing to put it behind him for this job- that could only mean that he shared the same passion as him. He wanted this just as much. Katsuki tried to swallow the lump in his throat before letting out a deep breath. He turned to the other, and raised his hand to shake his. “The feeling’s.. mutual..”, he grumbled out the words- giving the distinct impression that the feeling was indeed, not mutual. “Brilliant! Good to see you two getting along- both very talented young men- we expect great things from you- we’ll be preparing to move you in with the other potential members-“ The words seemed to hang in the air, in some distant world from the one Katsuki was in. He stood with his hand clasped in Deku’s, his eyes fixed on his face. He really was smiling at him just now- didn’t this piss him off at all? Having to work together with him? After all the crap he’d said to him?? Izuku’s eyes locked on his. But suddenly they faltered and looked away, a faint blush formed on his cheeks. Fuck me. He’s cute too- goddammit. Bakugou frowned slightly and pulled his hand away from his. If they were going to be in a dance group- he was sure Deku looking like a goddamn bunny rabbit would earn him a higher position. All he could do was look angry- audiences didn’t like that. Big Hit would be training them to make their debut- something big, something flashy. As he turned to face the officials and nodded at the new information, he looked to his right, at his face. His eyes trailed down to his shoulders.. his chest.. his hips. With a little huff, he looked away. They’d be training to dance together- and this pretty, green dude would be taking center stage- of course he would.. with form like that- and a body like that.
As they left for the day with an address to move into, and a new schedule, new contacts to call for help, Midoriya found himself running to catch up to Bakugou in the lift again. He didn’t seem to be in a talking mood. “So.. I guess we’re going to be flatmates too huh- Bakugou san..”, he ventured slowly. His eyes looked over his face for signs he should back off. But there weren’t any. The blond seemed to have resigned himself to behave. “You don’t have to call me that- geez..” “Bakugou sa-?” “YEAH THAT- “, he snapped at him, then calmed down instantly. Guilt was eating away at him. He was supposed to live with the guy being chirpy as fuck like this? The honorifics had to stop. “Look uhh- we got off on the wrong foot last time we talked..”, Katsuki found himself talking to Midoriya’s feet. He couldn’t bear to be looking at his all-forgiving face right now. He’d fucked up, and he should apologize, so he was doing just that. “Just call me Katsuki- and that stuff was out of line- what I said to you about being worth-“ Izuku cut him off just then, with a big smile on his face, “Ah that’s alright- anyway, when you said Deku? It sounded more like ‘I can do it!’ to me- you can still call me that if you want Kacchan-“ The spiky haired blond looked up at him, his jaw dropping to the damn floor as the elevator doors opened. He followed after the zippy little shit as he went to catch his bus. “HEY- NOT THAT- NOT WHATEVER THE FUCK THAT WAS- YOU-“
All Deku responded with was a hand raised in a goodbye, and a smile stretched across his face ear to ear.  Katsuki couldn’t help but smirk at that. He raised his brow at him sitting in the window seat.
I’m not done with you, he texted him on the number he’d given him, then looked up at his face, smug.
A ping sounded, revealing the reply.
You can do whatever you want with me on Monday Kacchan, I’m not going anywhere.
Bakugou’s eyes caught on every word. He felt the corners of his lips go up, as he watched the bus crawl away, taking Deku with it. He looked so damn pleased with himself with his headphones on and his eyes closed.

YEAR END FIC REVIEW 2019
This year I wrote:
The Dumpster Fire - a bunch of random ‘verses
to catch the golden snitch
we're young gods
all these delicate things
no peace, no quiet in your eyes
rip out those wings, darling
the little prince
interlude: world's okayest dad
—to the moon and back
as the moon bears witness (i swear to you)
ao3 tells me that’s 95k wc if we discount random teasers/snippets i only wrote on tumblr & twitter than we’re well over 100k.
Overall thoughts
I honestly thought I wrote less this year giving how many actual new stories I have up on ao3, but over 100k is still a pretty admirable job so far so I can’t be all that disappointed in myself. I don’t have an actual estimate wc on everything bc I post random snippets/teasers on twitter and than move the more edit and polish version on tumblr AND THAN i move it to my dumpstire fire collection if it fit. so like, i don’t know exactly how much wc i did but still moderately impressive given how profoundly lazy i can be lol /o\.
there were a lot of things i wanted to do but i didn’t get around to it bc i held myself back from committing to various big projects due to my promise/obligation to updating social media au :S. which i guess is good bc i didn’t add on to MORE WIPs but also depressing bc im stuck in a rut bc of it. i hope to explore more projects next year!
My best story of the year
“we’re young gods” prob my psuedo mad max post-apocalyptic wasteland abo au... GOD WHAT A MOUTHFUL. outside!pov has always been one of my fav narrative piece to write esp when im building a evolving world that come with it. i love a post-apocalyptic landscape, the fight and survive theme has always been a deep fascination for me plus w/ abo which makes it even more interesting. i talk a lot about the idea of kingmaker and the person behind the seat of power/throne a lot and i wanted that deeply in a lot of my ‘verses bc stories of movers and shakers of the world are always fun bc their actions have such HUGE RAMIFICATION and i always like politics and wars a little too much lol /o\.
My favorite story of the year
“to catch the golden snitch” bc i really like my veela!katsuki fic the most. prob bc it plays into adapting some familiar concept/theme/source (HPverse) and putting my fav spin on them with bkdk. i have always been fond of creaturefics in hp fandom so i knew i wanted to make another VEELAFIC bc why the fuck not. it also play into my fav trope of katsuki being something inhuman, dangerous, and beautiful and also SO COMPLETELY WHIPPED FOR THS HUMAN BOY ;D.
Most fun story to write
“to the moon and back” aka DRUNK!IZUKU FIC!!!! bc HELLO DRUNK IZUKU IS THE ABSOLUTELY BEST.
Story with the single sexiest moment
“all these delicate things’ or aka the panties fic bc unf i really like see man indulge in feminine things esp when they’re someone who had such a history of violence like izuku who had suffer so much hurt in his life; AND ON HIS BODY which are riddled with scars and i think should allow yourself to be kind/softer to yourself and things like panties are so DELICATE that idk i really dig that juxtaposition??? A LOT.
Most "holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story
“rip out those wings darling” aka mutual yandere fic i was originally given a prompt by someone but my giftee dropped out so I RAN WILD AND CAME UP WITH THIS BULLSHIT. idk i always like fucked up relationship esp when it’s mutually assured destruction kind of fucked up where they both equally crazy about each other and im all for that. fandom has a habit of making izuku being super creepy stalker but they make him violent rapist and that doesn’t sit well with me. you can make izuku creepy and stalkerish w/o playing into that kind of things :S. i hate how darkfics these days are like fall under that purview when you can have darkfic w/o necessitating sexual violence... like pls explore mindgames and emotional/mental manipulation more like man i think that’s much more interesting so i tried that with this fic. izuku doesn’t hurt others or hurt katsuki BUT HURT HIMSELF to manipulate katsuki to care for him and im like SO ABOUT THAT bc it play into his self sacrificing nature w/o me bending his characterization to make him into something recognizable and katsuki violent obsession and possession with izuku is ramped up but it isn’t sexualized but about ownership and wanting to izuku enough to to kill and idk i dig their mutual destructive habits about each other lol.
Story that shifted my own perception of the characters
i swear to god i don’t like the villain!deku trope. im more indiff to it than anything but the trope tend to twist him into something unrecognizable to me but when i was coming up about this ‘verse i wanted izuku to be a bit jaded and betrayed by the world/society but still SO EARNEST AND HOPEFUL about it even though his goals has twisted in a way that by saving it he has to break it first. somehow trying to true to himself as he slip further and further in darkness and i just find that kind of duality fascinating????? like how do i keep in character but make him fall and see his struggles b/t both sides and i find myself liking villain!deku just a tiny, A TINY more and open so much potential.
Hardest story to write
“as the moon bears witness” bc i did a rushed job on it and I HATE IT W/ THE FIRE OF TEN THOUSANDS SUNS. there’s so much i wanted to include but i fucked up and i hate how much I FUCKED UP ON IT. this is def the fic i regretted the most bc i knew what i wanted but i couldn’t exactly execute it correctly but instead of trying to think of a way to fix it i just let it go and i hate it and myself ever since than. UGH.
Biggest disappointment
"AS THE MOON BEARS WITNESS” for the exact same reason as above. i want to rewrite this so SO BAD and i will.
Biggest surprise
i didn’t have any surprise fics tbh. everything that i wrote is pretty much under my purview LOL but i found myself being more active on twitter the last half of the year and writing more threads (i.e. live writing) than moving it on tumblr. a lot of pieces i written on twitter was sudden for me and took me hostage but ya know what i go with the flow anyway bc what can i say im just a weak, weak girl w/ zero self control.
Most unintentionally telling story
maybe “no peac, no quiet in your eyes”? I think that idea slapped me across the face bc i spent a week getting really obsessed with asoiaf fics on ao3 and man I LOVE POLITICS AND WARS?? did i mention that??? i love dynastic rules, warring kingdoms, and a love earth shattering enough to move mountains and i wanted to see that so much so that ‘verse kind of happened.
Story I haven't written yet, but intend to
omfg SO MANY JUST SOOO SOOO MANY. i would really to get around to writing a full fledged fic of either surrogate au or sperm donor au bc i love that kind of unconventional family and romcom are like YA KNOW MY WEAKNESS.
Goals for this year:
like every year i keep saying i want to do tododekubaku fic and maybe 2020 WILL BE MY YEAR??
finish social media ch 2 before/around my bday of this month as a gift to myself a;sjdf;alsjdf lol
take on more projects that won’t land in the dumpstire fire collections
explore new fic avenues bc i always like trying new things and breaking in new genre/tropes bc why the fuck not
write all THE CLICHES and don’t let anyone tell me otherwise about my omega!deku loving ways

Morning Cuddles (BKDK)
Here is part two of my Bakudeku Domestic AU! It’s just some morning fluff and the two of them being cute and stuff.
I hope you guys like it! :D
Title: Morning Cuddles
Summary: Katsuki and Izuku wake up together, neither of them wanting to go to work and wanting to stay in each other’s arms.
One-Shot Notes: BKDK Domestic AU (part two), they all have their Quirks; Katsuki and Izuku are 22; they live together and have been living together for almost a year; Established BKDK (been dating for a few years)
One-shot is under the cut!
Katsuki was woken by the rays of sunlight that peeked through the curtains in the bedroom, painting stripes on the sheets and his face. He blinked the sleep out of his bleary red eyes, yawning as he felt something shift beside him. He turned to see Izuku, whose back was facing him. He furrowed his brows at this.
“Where do you think you’re getting off with not being in my arms...?” he grumbled tiredly as he turned and slung his arm over Izuku’s waist, pulling him close so that his back was flush against his chest.
He nestled his face in the crook of Izuku’s neck, inhaling the eucalyptus mint from his lotion. Then, he proceeded to pepper kisses along his neck before moving down to his shoulder. He nipped lightly at the exposed skin as Izuku let out a small groan.
“Kacchan...?” Izuku mumbled, yawning as he shifted so that he was facing Katsuki.
“Mmm, yeah?” Katsuki said, his lips ghosting along Izuku’s exposed collarbone.
“What are you—ah—doing?” Izuku asked, gasping when Katsuki dragged his teeth along his collarbone.
“I’m showering your body with love, that’s what I’m fucking doing.” Katsuki peppered more kisses along the side of Izuku’s neck, liking the way Izuku shuddered when he gave his neck an occasional nip. “Oh, and I’m also trying to wake you up.” he said.
Izuku laughed.
“Well, I can definitely tell you that it’s working.” he cupped Katsuki’s cheeks in his hands. “Good morning, Kacchan.” he said.
“Mmm...mornin’, Deku.” Katsuki said before closing the distance and capturing Izuku’s lips in a tender kiss.
Izuku smiled into the kiss as his eyes slid shut, taking in Katsuki’s scent of cinnamon and other spices. Katsuki’s hands began to glide down Izuku’s sides, squeezing them lightly before going lower. Izuku gasped when Katsuki squeezed his ass in his hands, giving the blond the opportunity to slip his tongue into his mouth. Izuku moaned as their tongues danced together.
“Shit, Kacchan...” he moaned into Katsuki’s mouth.
Katsuki peered at Izuku through half-lidded red eyes. He squeezed again, making Izuku whimper.
“Somebody’s got a naughty mouth this morning, cussing and shit.” he spoke into the kiss.
He pulled away and bit Izuku’s cheek, tugging on it gently as Izuku giggled.
“Kacchan, don’t do that!” he whined.
“I do what I fucking want.” Katsuki stated as he released his cheek.
Izuku pouted.
“Also, you've got insane morning breath.” he commented.
“Hmmm? What was that? What did you say about my breath?” he asked, his hands moving back up to Izuku’s sides.
Then, he proceeded to tickle him. Izuku dissolved into loud peals of laughter as he flailed about on the bed.
“Ka-Kacchan! St-Stop it!” he shouted.
“Nah, don’t feel like it.” Katsuki replied as he continued his tickle assault on Izuku.
“N-Noooooooo! Kacchan, please stop! I...I’m sorry, so please stoooooooop!” Izuku let out a squeal as Katsuki blew a raspberry against the side of his neck.
“I might if you tell me that I don’t have bad morning breath.” Katsuki said.
“But you do—aaaaaaaah! Okay, okay, okay! You don’t have bad morning breath! Now, stop tickling meeeeeee!” Izuku wailed, tears filling up in his eyes from Katsuki’s intense tickle assault.
“Good.” Katsuki said, removing his hands from Izuku’s sides.
Izuku pouted.
“You didn’t have to go that far...” he mumbled.
Katsumi chuckled.
“Sorry, Deku. I couldn’t resist.” he said as he leaned in and pressed a kiss to Izuku’s forehead.
Izuku smiled as he cuddled against Katsuki’s chest, placing his head so that he could listen to the sound of his heartbeat. Katsuki began to run his fingers through his curly, dark green hair as Izuku spoke.
“Say, Kacchan. What time is it?” he asked.
“Mmm, let’s see.” Katsuki shifted a little. “Hey, Alexa! What time is it?” he called out.
“The time is 7:38am.” Alexa responded.
“Aw fuck. I gotta get to work for eight-thirty.” Katsuki bit out.
“You mean we have to get to work for eight-thirty.” Izuku reminded, poking Katsuki’s chest lightly.
“Shit, you’re right.” Katsuki sighed. “Damn, I really don’t wanna go to work today.” he said.
“But you have to. And I have to, as well.” Izuku stated.
“I don’t want to go, though.” Katsuki pulled Izuku closer to him. “I wanna stay here and cuddle with my cute and adorable Deku.” he said.
Izuku blushed.
“Kacchan—”
“Nope. Fuck work. I ain’t fucking going and you won’t be fucking going, either.”
“But—”
“I said fuck it.” Katsuki looked back at the Dot Echo sitting atop the nightstand. “Hey, Alexa! Call Shitty Hair!” he shouted.
“Calling Shitty Hair.” Alexa replied.
The phone rang three times before Eijirou’s voice filled the room.
“Sup, Bakubro?”
“Yo, Shitty Hair. You’re at work, right?” Katsuki asked.
“Yeah, I just finished changing. Why?”
“Tell the boss that Deku and I aren’t coming in. We’re both down with the flu.”
“The flu?”
“Yeah. Just fucking tell him.”
“If you insist...hey, I gotta go now. Hope you two feel better!”
“Yeah, whatever. Now, fuck off. Alexa, hang up.”
The call cut off shortly after. Katsuki turned to face an appalled Izuku.
“Kacchan...!” he exclaimed.
“What?! It’s just one fucking day off! Besides, we haven’t had a day off in three fucking weeks. It’ll be fine.” Katsuki reassured him.
“But Kacchan...” Izuku trailed off.
“What? Don’t tell me you actually want to go to work today.” Katsuki said.
“No...”
“So then we got no problems. Let’s just spend the day together.”
Izuku let out a sigh as he hugged Katsuki. The blond resumed running his fingers through Izuku’s hair as he spoke.
“So, what do you want to do today?” he asked.
“Mmm, anything’s fine with me.” Izuku replied.
“Is that so...then, how about we go for a drive somewhere? You know, just you and me. Spend some quality time together.” Katsuki suggested.
“Yeah.” Izuku smiled. “I like how that sounds.” he said.
“Good. Because you’re supposed to like how that sounds.” Izuku giggled as Katsuki kissed the top of his head. “But for now, let’s sleep a little more. We can decide everything else when we get up.” Katsuki said.
“Mmmkay.” Izuku replied as he closed his eyes and eventually fell back into a deep slumber.

So, remember when I talked about continuing an old story as bkdk? Tell me what you think. Should I continue it?
~
You free?
It was all Katsuki sent but it doesn’t take much more than half an hour for Katsuki’s front door to fly open and for a very grumpy Deku to stomp through his apartment.
Katsuki is lying on the carpet, staring up at the ceiling, not even glancing at Deku as the younger man invades his kitchen. “Why are you so loud?”
“You better have a good reason for disturbing me, when I was about to have a date,” Deku grunts back. The kitchen is empty, no booze nor food. So, he settles on one of the chairs and throws his head back, pulling his hair.
He’s got a headache.
“I threw it.”
Deku doesn’t response. He needs to think. Katsuki threw it. He threw it. When Deku finally understands, he stands, marching towards Katsuki. He bends down, holds a hand out for the older man. Katsuki gives him a questioning look and doesn’t take the hand.
He stands on his own but let’s Deku take his arm and drag him along.
“Where are we going?”
“Drinking.”
“I thought you would scold me.”
“No. No, that’s not my place. We both need a drink. A strong one.”
~
“So, what finally triggered it?” Deku asks after downing his third glass of sake. They had opted to find a small stall outside and drink sake with something to eat on the side.
Katsuki is well down his fifth glass, not stopping to eat anything as he just grunts and scrunches up in distaste after every shot. “I don’t know. I just threw it at the secretary and told her I’m resigning.”
Deku fills his glass again. It’s true that Katsuki had debated whatever to throw his job a few times. He had complained over and over, but he was never really serious about it. Or at least that’s what Deku had thought.
Katsuki worked his whole life to get that position in management for a relatively well-known company. Throwing his job means throwing years of hard work.
Katsuki abandoned part of his identity.
“Are you really fine with this?”
“Maybe tomorrow, after the intoxicating is gone and a headache befalls me. But right now, I think it’s the best fucking thing I ever did.” Katsuki slurs, finishing the bottle as he slumps on the table. He’s tired and shouldn’t drink any more but then he’s still here.
He doesn’t want to be here.
“But what about you,” he remembers, “you found someone?”
“Don’t start.” Deku slams his glass down on the table, shocking the man running the stall. “He’s just a friend. And here I was going to try and move on and then you come and disturb me again.”
“You didn’t have to come.”
“You knew I would.”
“I did?”
“You did. You have always been my first choice. My only choice.”
“That’s a lie.” Katsuki fills his next cup, refilling Deku’s as well. “I have never been the only choice. You made me the only choice.”
“Sometimes I really hate you so much,” Deku takes the cup angrily, gulping the content down in one go.
“That’s good.”
“It’s not. It really isn’t. I hate you only to love you more the following day. Why are you doing this to me, Kacchan?” Deku lays the glass back down and throws his head onto the table. He’s wasted. Katsuki will have to look after him again.
“You choose me. It’s up to you to let me go. We are good as friends. I choose you as my friend.” Katsuki reaches out, ruffling the mob of green hair on his head. “I don’t want nor need more from you.”
Deku grunts, grabs Katsuki’s hand and pulls it away from his head. “I’m not your dog for you to pet me.”
“I’m showing affection.”
“That would be best done with a kiss.”
“I’m not kissing you again,” Katsuki deadpans.
“Lies,” Deku slurs, head still on the table as he tries to hold another filled cup upright and glares at the liquid. “In about one hour…”
“Then what?” Katsuki questions, taking the cup out of Deku’s hand and drinking the content down. “You know me so well, don’t you, Deku?”
“Of course, I do.” Deku watches the older man. He is intoxicated. It’s a mix of alcohol and feelings he has been grooming for years. “I know you the best.”
“Then you know I will never choose you.”
“I hate that stubborn side of you. You love me. You know you do! But just because you heard Uraraka’s talk back then, you have been on and on about how you will never make the choice to love me! You know you do! Me without you, you without me… it’s impossible. We have been together, always.”
“You are my childhood friend. You have been nothing else for years!”
“No! No, don’t come with that,” Deku jumps up from his seat in protest. Kacchan is doing it again! He is using their friendship as an excuse again. “We may be childhood friends but that’s no reason for you not to love me! You always hide behind our friendship! We can be friends, but I can still love you and lust for you! You can still fall in love with me, too! You kno-”
“Deku,” Katsuki cuts in. He doesn’t rise his voice. There is no need to. He’s had it.
Deku goes still. He wants to talk. He wants to tell Katsuki. He wants to kiss him so much. But instead he plumps down on his seat, suddenly looking dejected and very, very sad. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s ok.” Katsuki refills his glass, counting to ten in his head. He breathes in and replies, “you are drunk. Sit down and clear your head. I’m paying and then we are leaving.”
“Ok. I’m, I was just-”
“You are drunk. I am, too. We are taking a cab.” Katsuki waits for the bill. He can feel the alcohol in his system and it’s hard to focus his gaze and read the number, when he finally receives it.
He watches Deku sulk silently in his seat. Deku is obviously wasted and will start talking nonstop in a few minutes.
God, they need to get out of here before he loses his rationality and Deku starts to blubber. He can already tell that tomorrow morning will be a disaster, if they even make it home tonight.
And his mind starts slipping away as he takes Deku’s arm and drags him out to fetch a cab. He won’t do it. He won’t fucking do it. He definitely won’t do it. He won’t do stupid things when his mind is intoxicated and Deku is on him.
He won’t fucking do it because he doesn’t want to. He chants the words in his head but his mind drifts. Before he completely loses tracks of his thoughts thanks to the alcohol, he remembers something Deku had slurred.
In about one hour
~
Katsuki jumps up when he hears a door shut. It's not really loud but it woke him all the same. The sudden motion doesn't help the headache he is fast coming to know. He slides back down, buries his head in his pillow and denies the light that hurts his eyes.
There is pain pulsing in his head, each thump a horrible ache. His head is going to split apart before he can become aware of why, he's sure of it.
He doesn't even try to remember why he drunk so much yesterday; the pain of hangover already familiar. The more he tries to think, the more he hurts. So, he closes his eyes, takes deep breaths against the pillow and lets his mind float into nothingness until the pain settles slightly. It doesn't help much.
When he hears a door open and shut again, Katsuki flinches, suddenly very aware that the bed wears the warmth of someone else as well, though it's cooling already. He thinks for a moment about a possible one-night stand but discards it as fast.
The memory hits him hard and fast, suddenly too vivid. Katsuki scrambles off the bed, losing balance as gravity pulls him down. But he doesn't have time for this. He crawls to his closet on all four, just opening it when his bedroom door opens and Todoroki looks down at him, one eyebrow raised.
"Good morning."
"Where is he?" He pulls his clothes out of the closet, one by one until he can find what he hid well underneath everything. He is aware of Todoroki's eyes on him but ignores him. He needs to find it.
"It's not there anymore. You should know."
Katsuki spares him one glare before he continues to yank everything out on the floor.
It's not there. It’s not there, damn it!
"Tell me he isn't wearing it."
"I'm pretty positive he was wearing it when I encountered him in the hallway."
"I hate this."
Todoroki takes another look at him before leaving the room, calling a "I'm making breakfast, get dressed."
Katsuki wonders why this is always happening to him. Why Deku gets to him like this. There is a small voice in the back of his head that tells him he should know but he ignores it and lets the headache punish him for his stupidity.
He lies there, on the nice cold floor until Todoroki comes back and hauls him into the bathroom, to freshen up and eat breakfast. Katsuki stops the curses he flings at Deku just for a second, to grunt at Todoroki. It’s as good as a thank you.
His headache settles with some painkillers and a good breakfast. Todoroki is sitting on the couch and watching TV when Katsuki joins him with a warm cup of tea.
"I didn’t ask for this."
Todoroki only looks at him. "Deku called me, said he had an important lecture to attend. When I saw him leave, I thought you couldn't be that bad off, considering he beamed like that."
Katsuki just grunts, not replying. Of course, damn Deku would be happy.
"You know," Todoroki starts and Katsuki knows he isn't going to like this one bit, "he really loves you."
"Don't start," Katsuki warns. But much like Deku, Todoroki never listens to him. Katsuki takes that back, Deku listens better than Todoroki.
"I just don't understand." Todoroki sits up now, turning to him. "I mean, you must love him, too. At least a little or he wouldn't be wearing that stupid, oversized orange hoodie. It looks ridiculous on you, on him it's just painful." Todoroki makes a face, a face that tells Katsuki exactly how offensive he finds that piece of clothing. "I mean, he wears it like it's the best thing ever and we both know it's only after he got..." Todoroki stops, gesturing at Katsuki, willing him to understand without having to spell it out.
Katsuki glares at him. "A kiss. It's nothing more than damn kissing, which doesn't mean anything."
"To him it does. To Deku it means everything because you keep denying him what you very well feel. Even I feel sorry for him. And I think he could do much better than you."
"I do not have feelings for him. We are only friend." Katsuki grips his cup tighter, hoping the warmth will help against the sudden chill in his fingers.
"You do it again!" Todoroki throws his hands up, and then proceeds to point at Katsuki.
"Don't point. That's rude," Katsuki grumbles.
"I mean, just think about it! He's the first one you call whenever something happens. He's the only one you get close to and the one who knows you the best! Hell, you have kissed him more than anyone else and you still deny it."
"I was drunk."
"You don't kiss me when drunk."
Katsuki makes a face in distaste. Todoroki just snorts at him. "See."
"No."
There is a long pause before Todoroki sighs loud and deep. "Of course, not. Of course. So, why did you drink last night?"
"I resigned."
"Oh." And that's where their conversation ends. Because Todoroki doesn't know how to approach that and Katsuki doesn't want him to.
For a moment, he thinks about calling Deku to discuss his next steps but frowns and banishes that thought as fast. The idiot will prance around in that stupid hoodie the whole day and Katsuki doesn't want to see him right now.
The bitter taste of his resolve crumbling in a moment of weakness isn't something he enjoys. He hates it. It goes against the decisions he made long ago. That he is willing to go against them in moments without restrain means that he regrets them, and he can't allow that.
It discredits the very reason he denies it all.
~
Katsuki isn't too surprised to see Deku waiting by the elevator when he approaches. He comes to a stop next to Deku, not saying anything as they wait for the elevator. When the doors open, they step through.
Apparently, that's what Deku needs to start talking. "You went to get your things?"
"Had to. I made it official yesterday and collected my stuff today."
"So, you are really doing this; no turning back."
Katsuki nods, leaving it at that. Because even now he has no idea what prompted it, nor does he know what he wants to do. He steps out, taking his keys out of his pocket to open the door. Deku follows him wordlessly before disappearing into his bedroom.
Katsuki doesn't know why he allows Deku to do this. Put the hoodie back where it was so that he can wear it the next time they drunkenly stumble in. Putting his stuff on the table, he rubs his forehead.
What's going to happen now?
"You know, I think this is good for you." Deku’s voice is shortly followed by his presence in Katsuki's home office. "You suddenly made that bet that you would start working right after high school. I always thought you wanted to study, everyone else did, too. I was sure you would regret it." Deku approaches him, so they stand shoulder to shoulder, staring at the wall. "But you worked hard, eventually went up the ranks and then you became the manager. No one thought you would archive that. I was secretly impressed."
There is a hum as Deku leans back on the table. Katsuki suddenly feels very tired. "I worked hard for that. No one thought I would get the job since I lacked the education. But results don't lie and eventually I got the position." Katsuki thinks back, thinks about Monoma's angry face when Katsuki got the position. "Monoma ate his words."
"He made that bet with you and then had to resign because of you?"
"Yes," Katsuki confirms, leaning into Deku. "I'll forever cherish his angry face, when the announcement was made."
Deku laughs, pushing against Katsuki's shoulder. "I remember. You called us out and wouldn't stop bragging about it. Your worked hard."
You worked hard. Katsuki didn't knew he needed that. It feels good. Because he did. He worked hard for it. "I fucking did."
But it just wasn't enough. There was dissatisfaction. Working, Katsuki can do that. But he lost the why and for what at some point. His work was boring, numbers and orders, an office job that consumed him. He wonders now why he wasted so many years for a stupid bet.
Deku shifts against him, pressing his weight against Katsuki once more before he stands to face him. "So, what's the plan?"
The question isn't as dreadful as Katsuki imagined it to be. He smiles. "Vacation. I'll visit my mother, meet Camie in the states and take some time to enjoy life, before I decide what comes after."
Deku nods, takes his hand and pulls him out of his office. "I wanted to discuss this later, but now is as good as ever. The class is meeting up next week. It's Uraraka's birthday and she invited us. If you are back in time, you should come along. It will be good."
"Because everything Uraraka does is good?"
"Because everything Uraraka does is good," Deku confirms. And then he forces Katsuki into the kitchen and sits down. "I haven't eaten since breakfast. I could cook but you always say my cooking is bad, so..."
Katsuki snorts but pulls out a pan all the same. "I don't know why I'm feeding you."
"Because you only eat when you have company."
Katsuki opens his refrigerator, wonders for a moment what to make since he's got nothing home but is surprised to find it filled with groceries. "You filled my kitchen."
"Todoroki did. Though I paid, so yeah, make me food."
Katsuki turns to stare at Deku. Logically, he shouldn't allow Deku to behave like this, should throw the hoodie out and maybe avoid Deku, to prevent this. Giving Deku hope won't solve what he decided not to allow.
But there is a nagging selfishness somewhere that he is allowed this much, that he can allow Deku's company at least.
Deku just steadily stares back at him, not saying anything.
Katsuki turns around, thankful for the silence.

Merry Christmas!! I hope you are happy, and have a good New Year! 😁
Thank you!!! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and will have a wonderful New Year too!!
Anon said:aaaaawwwnnn the good ol' platonic (or not, depending on the interpretation) bak*deku
I’m not anti anything anon, so you never gotta worry about that! I have ships I like and ships I don’t and ships I’m indifferent about, but I’m a firm believer in the ship and let ship principle~ sadly bkdk is strictly platonic for me (I see them too much as sibs for it to work in a romantic way, at this point), but I do adore their relationship and the way Horikoshi is writing it TT^TT it’s def one of my favorite Bakugou relationships, such a wonderfully complex story 💕
Anon said:Have you ever thought about drawing Bakushima as different ships? Like, from different shows. Put them in their outfits and such? I thought that wouls be pretty cool. Sorry if someone has already suggested this! I thought maybe Black Butler style ? Fruits basket, Death note, ect. ❤
I have in the past drawn them in AUs inspired by characters from other fandoms, if that’s what you’re asking! At the top of my head I can remember drawing them as Black⭐Star and Tsubaki from Soul Eater, Doumeki and Watanuki from xxxHolic and Jacuzzi and Nice from Baccano!, but I’m sure those are not the only ones... I’m never against that sort of AUs, if you have anything you’d like to see ask and I’ll see if I know the fandom you’re thinking about! :D
Anon said://squints// did your.... Did your lineart imPROVE??? holy maples Fran ur killing me with ur art I wanna survive my last 7 months of high school--
If you think so, then I’m seriously happy and glad to hear it! Thank you so much!! I feel like I’ve been getting sloppier actually, ngl, but I have been trying new tools for the line, so maybe that’s the difference you’re seeing!
Anon said:Gonna say anonymously caz' i'm too embarrassed to reveal myself for now, but I love your blog and art so damn much!!! Been following you for two years and you really inspired me to draw and really to stay in touch with bnha. Again, love you so much and hope you a merry Christmas!!!
Ahhhhh anon thank you so much!!! I’m happy I can make you keep up with bnha, ngl!! And I hope you’ve had a wonderful amazing christmas too!!!
Anon said:Sero with the long hair can murder me
He wouldn’t!
Anon said:what do you think of bakukamijirou 👀
I don’t ship it, sorry :( as far as shipping Bakugou goes, I only ship him around if Kirishima is involved - I do have a few Baku ships I like just for the aesthetics (like with Jirou, or Todoroki!) but I wouldn’t really call it “shipping”, I just like to see them next to each other cause their designs work well together haha
Anon said:Hello? Yes. Hi. Dave I love. Thank you.
I’m so happy to hear that!!! TT^TT thank you so much!!!
Anon said:Kamijirou cures my depression :3
WELL IF THAT ISN’T A MOOD!!
Anon said:Have you every considered a voltron au for your ocs? I know youve made a voltron au befores so i was wondering if you ever did it for anything else (i really love all your art have a lovely day
I’ve never, actually  the vld fandom is very scary to me so I try to keep away from it, ngl! I’ve also not watched past the first season of the cartoon itself so by now I don’t think I have the necessary information to make AUs based on that fandom, but the concept of my kids in space or piloting mechas is a wonderful one nonetheless haha
Anon said:Ah man I love dav so much. It makes me so happy when you post your sweet green haired boy. Day: brightened.
:sob: thank you SO MUCH!!!! TT^TT it makes me so happy to hear you like my boy!!
Anon said:I love and appreciate every variety of your ocs
THANK YOU!!!💕💕
Anon said:You: This is my boy. | Me: I love him so much and his hair and his shirt- 👌
Thank you so much!! His hair and clothes make less sense every time I draw him, but I have fun with it so I’m glad you like them anyway hahaha
Anon said:Hey! Who is he? He looks cool
Thank you so muuuccchhhh!!! His name is Dave!! He doesn’t really have much of a story, but he’s a uni student and likes music, philosophy and cats! He has a bunch of friends I draw him with now and again, and they mostly spend their time avoiding studying and being generally ridiculous :D
Anon said:Just wanted to let you know your art style is GORGEOUS. You're one of the few people on this site whose art always makes me excited to see it. I'm a huge Bakushima fan to begin with but your Bakugou is just...oof. lol I don't know if it's the hooded eyes or the undercut but you make him HAVE it!
That’s such high praise oh my god! TTOTT I’m glad you like how I draw my boy, he makes me so happy to doodle !!!!! 💞💞💞
Anon said:The two art post with "An unexpected sappy thought" and "Bunch of stuff from yesterday I finally managed to finish" were both flagged. i tried to send them to u, but couldn't. Just thought you should know if you haven't been notified yet! sorry that i cant be much help. (also the protest starts in like 10 min for me, so youre probably off already if youre doing it) sorry for bothering!
Anon said:hey your post (a colored fanart) of kirishima and bakugou cuddling w/ song lyrics as the caption got flagged, just thought i’d let you know if you didn’t see it :( stupid tumblr
These are pretty old asks at this point but I wanted to thank you for the heads up anyway! I have gone through my posts twice already and new flagged things always pop up, so the fact that you took the time to let me know was seriously huge help! Thank you so much!!
Anon said:hi i just saw your year summery-thingy and i just realized that i have followed you for more than a year now and i just want to say thank you for all the beutiful art i have seen !! you are truly one of my favorite artist i hope that you are well
Ah man thank you so much!!! I’m so so happy to hear you’ve been following me that long, it’s incredible to me!! I hope I’ll manage to get out of the slump I’ve fallen into soon enough orz meanwhile thank you for sticking around!! 💕
Anon said:Seeing your art summary makes my soul feel the urge to have your beautiful kiribaku art in a book. Have you ever thought about making a little zine with some of your illustrations? Or selling prints ;___; You're absolutely amazing!
Oh heck thank you so much for being interested in something like that! I’ve actually thought about something of the like, but if I ever did it would be a small zine with pieces made specifically for it! I have to research the whole thing a bit more, but in case I’ll reach a point where it’s a concrete possibility I’d first post something to check the actual interest in it between everyone! ;^;
Anon said:... Why BakuJiro tho?
Why not! They are good friends, have a nice dynamic, and their styles match together well! And Jirou’s so tiny next to him, I like the idea of Baku hugging her a whole lot as it might have become obvious by this point haha
Anon said:7w7r I see you there
I dunno what this is about but !!! neat!!
Anon said:Soooo,,, DabiHawks or Hawks single? I have curious for how would a drawing of them be made by you
I’ve said this a couple of times before, but I’m really only interested in dabihawks if Dabi is Touya at this point! I might change my mind if Hori develops their relationship more, but right now that’s how it is... and until I have more concrete proofs of Touya and Dabi being the same person I don’t wanna get too involved with the ship, in case I end up disappointed haha
Anon said:Fran, have you ever posted a selfie before? For some reason, I imagine you looking a little more like Kuroo from Haikyuu!! Haha.
I haven’t! I prefer being behind the camera instead of before it hahaha a couple years ago you would have been right! By now I have too much hair for it, tho lol also, I wear glasses and have a bunch of piercings and earrings that Kuroo doesn’t have (but should have, cause it’d be hot 👀👀👀)

BKDK DM fic/Twt thread
BKDK Soulmate Mind Reading Word Count:1322
AU Summary: Everyone has a soulmate, at 16 you gain the ability to hear/read their thoughts, the only way to stop the mind reading for good is to kiss your soulmate (If the pair has previously kissed they have to kiss again after they come of age)
This is a Ficlet/DM fic/ twitter thread thing SO that just means it is not structured the same way as something I would post on AO3. The format is much more loose and is more so me detailing a plot from start to finish rather than an actual fic. I write these in a chat so the spaces are message breaks, after I hit send on a message. I hope you give it a chance! I have another one of these posted on my twitter (this one is over there too!) which you can visit here
A BIG BIG thanks to @we-stanjirou for encouraging my bkdk rants that eventually become these fics and for getting me to finally post them!
The mind-reading starts at 16 and it happens on your birthday (so there are a couple of months where Bakugou can hear Deku’s thoughts before it’s mutual)
You have to focus on it for it to work, it’s not just someone else in your head all the time (unless you are unfocused and kinda just listening)
They become roommates because they were training in Bakugou’s room and busted up two walls and, instead of giving Bakugou a new room, Aizawa moves them both to an extra room on the fourth floor slightly bigger than the rest of them because they would have to share
They were stressed about it cause they were both crushing hard while also having their soulmates voice in their head
They both tended to try and keep the voice away unless they were alone but now that they were sharing a room it was a bit more difficult, they each caught themselves listening to the voice before bed or in the shower, etc
When Bakugou focused on it a majority of the talking was vaguely about people or it was detailed work
He figured out that his soulmate went to Yueii because they were thinking about principal nezu one day
He really tried hard to not pay any attention to the voice but he couldn’t help wanting to know
Deku on the other hand was really curious about who is soulmate could be but he never got any hints about it, he guessed he was never listening at the right time
When they became roommates they found themselves thinking about their soulmate more and more often, leading to them accidentally reading their souls mates thoughts just because when they began to think a little too much about their roommate they redirect themselves to a more abstract concept
Bakugou heard a curious thought one night ‘I wonder who /he/ thinks about at night.’ before he could even process the question his mind supplied ‘Deku obviously’ and he could only hope his soulmate wasn’t listening to that (sadly he wasn’t)
The next time something big happened it was in class, Aizawa had given them some free time and the class ended up having a big conversation
Bakugou had been commenting vaguely but mostly keeping to himself
Deku had been lost in thought
At one point Bakugou sent a light push at Kirishima for something stupid he said when he heard the voice say
“I wonder if /his/ soulmate is Kirishima”
(they can tell when the voice is about them, special soulmate bond)
His immediate reaction is to scoff and he whispers a quite “tch shitty hair is not my soulmate”
Deku looks over and says “did you say something Kacchan?” and Bakugous focus on his soulmate voice drops
He quickly patches things up saying “tch no I didn’t fucking say anything” although he was a bit unconvincing
Deku let it go and Bakugou let out a breath hoping no one else caught his response
The implications of his soulmate 1-knowing who Kirishima is and 2-wondering about their ‘relationship’ right after they interacted didn’t hit him until a few minutes later
His eyes widened and he looked around him knowing that one of these shit heads had to be his soulmate and he, unusually, had a preference
He glanced at Deku and wondered if he was reading his thoughts
He decided to try something, he wanted to try and push his way into his soulmates head, whoever reacted would be his soulmate, it was better than not knowing
Bakugou turned away and focused and repeated in his head “are you listening”
Once he stopped he focused on the voice which responded with a repeating “I’m listening”
He smiled and began repeating “I’m in class A and I’m pretty sure you are too”
After he replied he took a look around, no one seemed to be acting weird
Deku was trying very hard to not make it obvious that he was freaking out a little
There was only one person in class A that he would want as his soulmate but that was unfair to both of them (Kacchan and his soulmate)
Bakugou took the chance to focus on the voice again and heard “you’re right I am”
Bakugou decided to kick it up a notch, the voice seemed panicked and he figured whoever it was, was on the verge of reacting
So he decided on “by the way shitty hair isn’t my soulmate, he and pinky can hear each other even if they don’t know it”
After a moment, one he assumed his soulmate took to focus on his thoughts, there was a crash
Behind him Deku had dropped his textbook into his desk, surprised to hear Kirishima and Mina be called by nicknames only Kacchan calls them, in his head
In order to try and keep his cool he let out a quick “sorry lost my grip!”
Everyone but Bakugou believed him fully and continued with their conversations
Bakugou decided to push even harder and say “it’s you isn’t it, I’m right”
Deku just barely held back a squeak and then announced he was going to use the restroom
Bakugou knew this was his chance and left a few minutes later
He figured Deku might be overwhelmed so he stopped pushing thoughts and decided to actually talk to the damn nerd
He hoped he would find him fairly easily and he was right, Deku had only turned a corner and then stood against the wall
Bakugou walked up slowly and cleared his throat while he was still far away enough so he wouldn’t startle Deku
Once Deku looked up at him his eyes widened and he let out a “Kacchan!” and then Deku took a deep breath and said “Did you have to do that in the middle of class?!” and Bakugou smiled, of course, his nerd was just worried about all of the extras in the room
“I saw my chance and took it, you were the one thinking that shitty hair was my soulmate”
At the word soulmate, the reality of the situation hit them both and Deku wondered out loud “I wonder if Aizawa knew when he put us in the same room” (he did)
Bakugou shook his head slightly and said “you’re gonna have to keep saying our thoughts out loud, I don’t plan on being able to hear them after today”
Deku was confused for a second until he remembered the way to stop being able to read your soulmates thoughts and blushed darkly
“Really now? you really want me to say them all out loud?” Deku shot back with a raised eyebrow (the effect was slightly dulled but the bright blush)
Bakugou laughed quietly and took the comment as an ok (it was more like an enthusiastic yes but that’s beside the point)
He slowly closed the distance between them and landed a solid peck on Deku’s lips
Bakugou had begun to pull back, not wanting to overwhelm Deku once again but he was chased backward
They eventually made their way back to class staggering their entrances by a few minutes
Once Bakugou walked in Aizawa said “Bakugou, Midoriya come here for a moment”
They made their way to the front and Aizawa squinted his eyes at each of them
“Midoriya was everything resolved?”
“Yes sir!”
“Good maybe now you two won’t be so distracted in the middle of my lessons, go take you seats”
They both took their seats and then look at each other before bursting out with laughter
Everyone looked at them weird and questioned them, they both just said “nothing don’t worry about it”
For the rest of the class, they held hands around their desks facing the wall
No one was surprised to see their room had the beds pushed together and how much friendlier they became with each other leading up to the big reveal of their relationship

bkdk k-pop (BTS) AU: Chapter 1- Kacchan
Bakugou was stressed. Then again, he was always stressed. But today was an especially stressful day- he had an audition to go to. This company was great, but they only really hired the best dancers. The problem was.. he had heard that they were looking for singers too. Logically speaking, anyone who could do both would be the clear pick, but that wasn’t going to put him down. This is Bakugou Katsuki- he works ten times as hard as any dancer out there, and is at least twice as athletic. So what if he can’t sing for shit. SO WHAT- he can learn and replicate any choreography they throw at him, and he’s willing to bet his ass he can do it better than any candidate they have.
Katsuki took a deep breath and walked into the studio. Man, if they could afford to have their auditions at this studio.. what kind of money were they talking exactly. He was greeted by a woman who led him to the auditions room. White walls, white floors, huge mirrored wall on one side- this was how it’s done- not some half-assed practice session on a basket ball court like he was used to. He put his bag down by the wall and watched the others who had come before him give their auditions. Being Katsuki, he tried to point out every mistake they made to himself, not just to gloat over it- but to make sure he doesn’t repeat it. He really was more stressed than usual today, it was a wonder he hadn’t snapped already. When it was finally his turn, he came out to the center of the room. His scarlet hued eyes focused on the three judging the audition. They must be big wigs- he had to impress them. Their choreographer was watching from the other side of the room. He had the floor to himself.
The blond took in a deep breath and waited for his music to come on. He had picked a loose polyester shirt to wear over sweats- his most comfortable dance-wear. When the song started up, he immediately went into action. He’d gone over his routine hundreds- no- thousands of times before this audition. And he was nailing every move- every breath he took was calculated, pre-planned. If this company was as good as everyone said they were, they’d recognize his talent and hard work- all the hours he put into this would not go unnoticed. But Katsuki didn’t settle for just that. Any seasoned performer would be able to put in this kind of effort.
His real selling point was the aggression. Every move, no matter how many thousands of times he’d done it- he replicated it with as much force and passion he’d put into it when he first learned it. Katsuki felt like his muscles were on fire by the end of it, but that only fuelled him more. At the end of his song, he stood up from his crouch and looked at the judges for any good signs. They were busy talking amongst themselves, looking excited. The blond stood there, panting, wiping the sweat out of his eyes- refusing the bottle of water offered to him- he watched the three of them by their table impatiently. What the hell was taking so long. He knew he was better than the chumps that came before him- so they ought to have something to say about it. Fuck this. “So?? Can I expect to hear something??”, he couldn’t stop himself before he shot out the words. The entire room seemed to quieten down. He frowned a bit, trying to correct himself. “..can I have some feedback- please??” One of the three at the table piped up, “We’ll get back to you on that- we still have more auditions before we can decide-“ Of course. He felt stupid to have asked. Shit- his friends had warned him to be more respectful, smile some more or whatever. Katsuki huffed and walked to where his bag was and flopped down next to it. Wiping his face and neck with his towel and squeezing the Gatorade into his mouth, he lay there, panting and glaring at all the other candidates.
Who the fuck cares if I smile- it’s skill that counts. That’s when the next candidate walked in. He was apparently the last one they had, and he was late for auditions- dumbass- that was the first mistake he made today as far as Katsuki was concerned. He watched him carefully, the floppy green hair, freckles on his face.. the doe eyes he made at everybody as he stuttered apologies. Please- what could this guy do to change the verdict. “Hello I’m Izuku Midoriya- I’M SO VERY SORRY AGAIN FOR BEING SO LATE- IT WAS THE TRAFFIC.”, the young man bowed low. The company people were more than understanding. “Don’t worry about it Midoriya- go ahead and perform what you’ve prepared for us-“ Bakugou watched Izuku to see what he could do. But it seemed like he hadn’t heard them yet- the green haired candidate was deeply concentrating on something.. His low voice sounded all over the room, “-I did calculate the time it would take me to get here- IF I took a bus- and it was clearly not worth it considering the time and money spent to get here, couple that with not getting seats on the bus anyway-“ “Uh- Izuku it’s alright! You can go ne-“ “-but that’s exactly why I took a taxi! It was prepaid and everything- I checked the routes on maps to make sure we picked the one with the highest rate of traffic clearance- but even that didn’t seem to work cause the detours on road weren’t updated on the map yet- maybe they need a better system in place for things like this- because clearly-“ “IZUKU MIDORIYA?” “YES!??”, he suddenly looked up to see the man looking at him sternly. “You can perform for us now- you’re the last one and we’re waiting-“ Katsuki could barely hold in the giggles at this point. This guy- THIS was the guy he’d been worried about taking his spot. Not a chance- not happening. He watched the greenet take to the center of the room after putting his things down by the wall and handing his memory stick to the sound person. Then the music started up. He danced in time, his moves were sharp, and subtle. As the beat got faster, he kept time without losing his pace or any of his grace. In stark contrast to the blond that had gone before him- there seemed to be no aggression accompanying his energy. Well, for a first- he smiled. And his eyes seemed to find his target easily- he aimed to please- to impress. And that is exactly why he did. There seemed to be an almost palpable change in the atmosphere in the studio. Everyone had their attention fixed on Izuku Midoriya. Katsuki Bakugou did too. He watched him glide across the floor, dynamic and free in his movements. And as a dancer himself, he knew how many hours it took to make it look this effortless. But even after all this, Bakugou was relaxed. Even if he could dance this beautifully- if anything- maybe they’d be matched in skill. Maybe they’d give this Midoriya fellow a second glance before giving the spot to Katsuki. That was when the cunt started to sing. Izuku’s track changed to instrumental as he sang along with the background accompaniment- he hit his notes high as he danced his routine. His pitch didn’t falter once through all the movement. How the fuck- Then he finished on a low note, his voice rumbling deeper than should’ve been possible. So he had a wide range too. What couldn’t this man do? When he was done, he bowed low again and smiled sweetly at the panel. Bringing his hand up to his hair awkwardly he said, “I hope you liked it! It wasn’t the best I could do- and the song I picked wasn’t the most complicated to choreograph but-“ “It was perfect- we loved it! Don’t be so hard on yourself.”, the company man spoke. He was the real deal- one of the main producers. He looked like he meant business, and even he was smiling at Midoriya. Midoriya got the feedback- he got the smiles- he got the excited chattering amongst the panel. Bakugou was livid. He suddenly stood up from his spot, causing the others in the room to turn towards the sound. Gathering up his things, he stomped out of the room and into the hallway leading back out to the elevator. Fuck ‘em. Fuck Midoriya. Fuck that producer. He walked into the elevator, angry with himself. He was angry for a lot of reasons- for not being able to sing- that was the first. At best, he used to rap a little as a hobby when he was younger. Would that help?? They hadn’t mentioned rapping at the auditions. He stood in the back, absolutely seething. It’s not like he could go back and rap for them now- that would make him look like a clown.
As the doors of the elevator closed, he found himself immediately regretting his outburst. Holding his head in his hand, he tried to not scream. He couldn’t do this here- they might still call him after today- he still had a chance.
He looked up suddenly to see his messy mop of green hair pushing through the doors. His eyes looked large and apologetic. Pathetic. “Come to gloat?”, he shot at him gruffly. Midoriya seemed to be taken aback as he shuffled into the lift- bag in hand. “N-No?? G-gloat about what- exactly..”, his voice sounded, unsure. This was the guy who would get his job. Right in front of him. What the hell did he have that Katsuki didn’t?? He glared at him before looking up. The elevator was making its way down to the ground floor- where he’d be taking a bus back to his shitty rented apartment that he could barely afford- yes, a bus- because he couldn’t afford a damn taxi like this freckled prodigy. He hated his guts- pushing his way into the elevator like that to hang around the loser of the day. “You got the job- idiot- so act like it.” Bakugou preferred it that way. At least if he gloated, he’d be able to put it all behind him- chalk it up to be a bad week and start again. But instead, Izuku tilted his head at him like a confused puppy. “..Bakugou right? They mentioned something about your stunts- said they’d be contacting some of us for choreography next week- but uhh- they figured maybe you don’t want the job anymore cause you-“ The blond snapped his head towards him instantly. “WHAT? THEY SAID WHAT?-“ He was already pressing the buttons to go back up- he pressed the wrong floor a couple of times before getting the right one. His face was sweating again. “Hey! I was on my way down- you could’ve waited..”, the other man’s voice was soft and undemanding as he watched the blond look panicked. Katsuki suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder, just as the doors opened on the right floor. “Tell them the truth- they seem like nice people. They were really impressed by you” The blond turned to look at him, dumbfounded. He was only met with a smile, not anywhere close to malicious- just a genuine look of happiness on this stranger’s face at the prospect of his adversary getting the job in his place. Fuckin’ weirdo. Bakugou walked through the hallway and into the studio, embarrassed that all eyes were on him. Many of the dancers seemed to have left already- the others were packing up. A few were speaking to the producers and the choreographer and standing around having coffee. As the spiky haired blond approached the group, he bowed his head slightly in apology. The producer took his hand and shook it. “Did Midoriya catch up to you then? We were going to call you too of course- so I take it you will come to the choreography round next week?” “Yes- of course I will- thank you so much for the opportunity sir-“, the otherwise prideful young man was severely humbled by the offer. This could just be his big break- if he could keep his emotions in check before this was all over. He felt like this was his chance to explain himself before things got out of hand. “I- I have some anger management issues- which I’m working on of course- that’s not going to be something that’ll hinder our work flow- I’m very sorry about walking out like that-“ It had to be done. He had to make the best impression on them if was going to be considered at all. He couldn’t smile and make doe eyes like him, but at the very least, he could be sincere if he tried. The producer looked at him with kind eyes, but cancelled out the gesture in a rather assertive tone, “Bakugou- we expect great things from you- and we also expect that you’ll be professional about keeping your emotions appropriate to the work setting-“ He sighed before continuing to sip on his coffee. “We’re not exactly sure what kind of arrangement we have for you, but only time and working together will tell-“ Before he could contain himself, he was speaking, “So another round of testing? That’s when you’ll decide you want me in the company?” The choreographer was listening before, but now he grinned wide. “This fish is ready to jump ah- PD?” He laughed and slapped the man on his shoulder. PD looked at Katsuki again, and spoke in a measured tone. “You’re assuming you’ll get the spot and nobody else? Isn’t that a little too confident- even if you are talented, that isn’t something we like in this company-“ At that, the blond fixed his scarlet gaze on his, his eyes hard like steel.  “Sir- respectfully- I know I’ve worked hard enough to get in- I know I’ll work harder than anybody here to make you see that- I will show you why I deserve this job-“ He took a deep breath and bowed low. When he straightened up, he saw that PD was smiling- a small, knowing look on his face. “I look forward to that Katsuki-“ Bakugou breathed a sigh of relief before taking a cup of coffee himself. He needed his nerves to settle already. “But to be completely honest? Since you do seem to want that from me-“, the producer smiled some more before sprinkling some sweetener in his cup, “Midoriya seems to be showing us why he deserves this job- maybe you ought to ask him for tips-“ Katsuki breathed in sharply and directed his glare at the door, willing the green haired wonder to walk in.
But Midoriya was already in a bus on his way home- to his own shitty little apartment. He just had to get this job- even if he had to fight that pretty blond for it. Izuku sighed, his breath fogged up the window as he looked out into the streets passing by him. He chuckled to himself. This Bakugou person had tried hard to make an enemy out of him- but it didn’t work. Izuku knew a good man when he saw one. This one just seemed to want to push people away- even if he was harmless. Well- maybe he’d scratch a little.. like a cat. “Katsuki- Katsuki-chan – Katchan “, the greenet mumbled to himself as he settled his head down on his bunched-up scarf. A three-hour long bus ride called for a nap after all. Izuku smiled suddenly, a pinkness in his cheeks. “Kacchan..”

First line game- WIPs
I saw this thing where you post the first line of all of your WIPs and I decided to expose myself and the sheer amount of WIPs I have, its mainly Bakudeku but I do have a few Drarry ones as well. If any of my shitty descriptions excite you drop a comment and it will get bumped up on my list of what to finish first (I won’t be posting any of the bkdk ones until the first one on this list is finished being uploaded, I have a promise to a friend that I must uphold)
Along with that if you see the ones that have ‘(working title)’ next to them and you have a better idea for the title leave it in the comments! I give them all working titles so I dont have to click through a bunch of stuff named ‘Untitled Document’ on my docs.
Last thing, I’m posting this as a sort of accountability along with the ‘game’ so I will try to update this as each of these gets finished, if you are interested in being a beta for any of these feel free to send me a chat or post it in the comments (some of them are already beta-ed so I may or may not need another)
1) Fantasy Meets Reality- Bakudeku on AO3 “Midoriya! Bro, open up!”Izuku woke with a start, there was a voice outside his door and he was too tired to recognise it.“Izuku, what’s going on? Why aren’t you opening the door?” A second voice called out.To prevent any further yelling and knocking Izuku stumbled out of bed to his door and opened it, he did not expect to see Kit and Kirishima waiting on the other side.
This is the start of chapter three (Chapter one and two are already posted!) A quick run down, this fic has the bakugou from the fantasy AU (the end screen of the stain arc) come into the real world, i named him Kit to differentiate him from Kacchan. Basically Kit comes into the regular world and Kacchan has to see him and Deku interact!
2) Know Him Well (working title)- Bakudeku
“Dunce face, don’t you understand the concept of personal fucking space? Take a damn step back, you're basically slobbering on the damn nerd.” Katsuki pulled lightly at Kaminari’s collar, silently pulling him away from Izuku.
This is going to be a oneshot get together fic that shows how well Katsuki and Izuku know each other. Basically senarios present themselves to our main idiots where the rest of class A slowly realises that these two know each other surprisingly well, including mutual pining and some medling from their respective squads.
3) A Week (working title)- Bakudeku  A week.
Katsuki told Izuku how he felt and then ignored his existence for a week.
He kissed Izuku and decided to act as if it never happened.
This is a one shot based on a twitter thread I read that did not end the way i wanted it to so I asked permission to rewrite with a happy ending and they allowed me to. It is an angsty get together fic with lots of underlying and internalised homophobia and fear of what getting together could mean for our two aspiring pro heroes. Erasermic is a reassuring presence and a slight plot device.
4) Truth (working title)- Bakudeku  “Hey be careful there! You don’t want to fall over!” Izuku chuckled at the child he was holding onto, at least some good came out of his detour through the park.
“Oh my goodness sir! Are you ok?” A worried woman rushed over, seemingly more worried about the green haired stranger rather than the small child.
This is a one shot in which Izuku gets hit with a truth quirk and has to stop himself from being too forthcoming with everything he says. Get together fic that will hopefully give you second hand embarassment.
5) Izuku Withdrawl- Bakudeku
“In addition to your normal schedule this week, you will also be paired up with someone from this class to work with a support course student to update some of your gear. This is as much an assignment for you as it is for the support course, when you become a prohero you will need to be able to communicate what types of upgrades you want for your costumes, if you can’t you will be stuck in broken or subpar gear which will only hinder you in fights. You will find your partner from your class and the support student you will be working with posted in the common area of your dorm and outside this classroom, now class is dismissed.”
This is a oneshot in which the pair get (purposely) hit with a quirk that makes it incredibly painful for them to touch, Bakugou plays it off as if it would not be a problem until they find out how often they truly casually touch. The quirk will wear off in (reportedly) 3-4 days and by the end everyone is noticing the increasingly irritable Bakugou snapping at everyone who dares to bring it up and the increasingly hurt Midoriya (makes more sense withing the confines of the fic) and get together that is truly painful for everyone involved.
6) The Frenchman and the Parselmouth- Drarry
“Draco, darling, come help me with the laundry!” A voice echoed throughout the big house.
This is a multichapter eighth year drarry fic in which the two are roommates who create a tentative friendship until one morning Harry hears Draco speaking french (as you probably guessed from the title lol) and has a gay panic. The ensuing gay panic leads Harry to enlist the help of his favorite professor Remus Lupin (who also happens to be with his god father because fuck canon Wolfstar is alive and happy together) to try and figure out his own feelings and how to make them obvious to Draco. I really love this story and it will definitely be finished eventually but it needs so so much work because it started as a convoluted headcanon and then one major scene in the begining was changed (actually is in the process of being changed) and so it needs quite a bit of TLC before it is anywhere near ready to post. Let me know if this (shitty) description excites you and maybe it will get bumped up on my list of what gets finished first.
7) Loathing.... Right?-Drarry(with a hefty side of pansmione and blairon) on AO3
Draco woke slowly, later than normal, he and Pansy had stayed up a while longer, he wanted to avoid seeing Potter for as long as possible. As his eyes adjusted to the light in the room, Draco looked around, his eyes landed on Potter’s sleeping form, for a moment he allowed himself to indulge and raked his eyes over the fit body asleep across the room. He knew he shouldn’t be allowing this to happen, but Draco couldn’t help himself, this is the only time he let himself feel so strongly. The only time he let hope sink in, when Potter was unconscious and serene, unaware of the brooding next to him.
This is the begining of chapter four as the first three chapters are already up on AO3. This fic is (another) eighth year Drarry fic in which they are roommates, roughly based on the song ‘What is This Feeling’ from Wicked (mostly in the first three chapters tbh, if you listen to the song you’ll get why it doesn’t last for the entire fic) This fic has the golden trio paired up with the slytherin trio as dormmates and they all come to terms with their surprisingly more than friendly feelings towards their respective roommates, defintely focused mainly on Drarry but you still get quite a bit of the other two ships as well, I’m working hard on chapter four but I’m having a bit of a block at the moment
