I still don't like the ending, but the more I think about it, the more I like Tsumugi's characterization. Girlie really just went from being the least interesting character for me to being one of the very best (and I already liked a lot of DRV3 characters).

Imagine Being Orochimaru's Daughter And Dating Yamato
A/n : I had a hard time writing it it felt so weird to struggle. But I fnally made it and I love it 🔥🦔
A/n : For the fic purpose imagine that you're sitting at a table on the floor, next to Yamato and Orochimaru is in front of him
Warnings : Fluff, slight comedy, Orochimaru has his own role in the fic as much as Yamato, Yamato is canon-verse like he doesn't seem to mind being the subject of Mokuton test of Orochimaru

Yamato had never wondered about your family ties. After all, he didn't have anyone, so maybe you didn't either. He had met you at the Anbu long after Kakashi had become a genin instructor.
So he was very surprised at the beginning of your 3 year relationship when you told him that you would like to introduce him to your father figure. He was very surprised and he was a little - a lot - stressed. What if he gave the wrong impression, what if he didn't like him, and what if-
"Hey Yamato" you said rubbing his arm in a comforting way "Everything is going to be fine don't worry he's going to love you" "Y-you're sure ?" "Sure and certain"
He had taken a breath and after a quick kiss you parted, you going back to your place and he going back to the comfort of his apartment, ideas running wild in his head about meeting your "father" the next day.
On your side you didn't worry too much, you had known Orochimaru since you were a child. In your case he hadn't tried to trick you in any way. No. He simply took you in out of a sense of... kindness. He tried to convince himself that he was doing this for his own interest, but his heart had begun to change without him realizing it.
Of course one could clearly see that you were adopted, your h/c hair and beautiful e/c eyes were a far cry from the piercing, reptilian eyes of your father. But still you grew to love each other as father and daughter. He had taught you everything and you had been a great help in your own way.
On the big day Yamato took some time to decide what he would wear to make a good impression on your father. Far from thinking that he knew unfortunately enough already. He did his hair and decided to let his forehead protector home before leaving his house and heading towards yours.
He decided to take the path to the park to clear his mind of the anxieties that plagued him.
"Hello Tenzo what brings you in this outfit ?" he heard the voice of Kakashi who was reading a book sitting on a bench, his finger was pointed at the suit pants he was wearing.
"Ah that" he rubbed the back of his neck "I-I'm going to meet Y/n's father so I wanted to make a good first impression"
"First impression ? But you already know each other" he answered confidently
Yamato froze for a moment, his eyes fixed on Kakashi "Wait how ? When ?"
Kakashi smirked realizing that his old friend had no information on the subject "Well I won't spoil the surprise for you you'll see when you get there"
"Kakashi please tell me who it is-"
"Goodbye" said the older ninja waving, before he disappeared in a poof of smoke.
"Come on" Yamato shoot raising his hands above his head, before continuing his walk towards your house.
But the closer he got to your house the more he felt a sense of unease in his heart. He felt as if he could feel an extremely powerful chakra emanating from there.
When he got to the door he stopped, trying to remember who he had felt the chakra from before. He had already been standing in front of the door for 10 minutes as if he was trying to bore holes while he was trying to recall it. His eyes widened as he made the connection between the fabulous source of chakra and an old enemy he had a lot to do with in the past. He felt his heart racing with forecasting, how would Orochimaru react knowing that the man you as chosen was one of the children he had taken from his family to perform Mokuton tests.
He knew however that Orochimaru had changed but still, he wouldn't have thought that you were his daughter, not only because of the resemblance but also because you didn't really look like someone who had grown up with someone who was so evil - but truth be told you didn't grow up with this side of him. But little did he know that Orochimaru was not the same man with you as he was at that moment with the others who were using him for his personal scientific research.
Inside though, while you were busy serving the tea you had prepared to your father he drew your attention.
"Dear I think he knows, I've been sensing his chraka at the door for quite a while" his voice steady not giving anything away as usual.
You sighed serving your own tea "I know... I've been sensing it too. I'm going to talk to him" you said walking towards the door "Try not to eavesdrop... this time" you said sending him a dark glare before opening the door.
With a quick step you left your apartment and turned in his direction. He jumped back, still on his guard. A slight blush appeared on his face when he saw the pretty sundress you had specially put on for the occasion.
"Erm hey Y/n what are you doing here ?" he said mentally facepalming himself when he realized how stupid what he was saying was.
"Well I was at home waiting for you" you chuckled taking his hand in yours "But now that you're here I don't have to wait anymore"
He smiled sheepishly knowing that because of his moment of reflection concerning the identity of your father he was nearly 10 minutes late.
You took a step back into your apartment but his hand tightened on yours. When you looked back at him he gave you a look of doubt and apprehension. Of course you knew why and you bitterly regretted the childhood Yamato had known because of your father's actions. However, you couldn't go back in time as much as you wanted to, nor could you not tell him or at least formalize your relationship with Orochimaru, the latter being very close to you, because of the gratefulness he felt that you had helped him change.
You took a step back into your apartment but his hand tightened on yours. When you turned your head back to him he gave you a look of doubt and apprehension. Of course you knew why and you bitterly regretted the childhood Yamato had known because of your father's actions. However, you couldn't go back as much as you wanted to, nor could you not tell him who your father is, or at least formalize your relationship with Orochimaru, the latter being very close to you, because of the gratfulness he felt that you had helped him change.
You came back on your steps and took him in your arms. As his head set on your shoulder you whispered to him "That's okay if you don't wanna met him. I won't blame you"
But he shook his head "No, I'm sticking with it. Sorry for the internal reflection moment"
He kissed the top of your head and nodded "We're good to go"
And so the two of you enter your apartment. After taking off his shoes Yamato walked shyly into the dining room, where Orochimaru was sitting at the table with his back to him, he recognized his long black hair. Suddenly he stands up and his gaze settles on you first before landing on Yamato. He bows respectfully in an uncanny way and Yamato does the same for politeness.
"Okay so dad this is Yamato... and you guys already know each other so I'm gonna let you guys and get some cake for tea" you said before running hoping you didn't forget to buy the pastries.
Once out of the room Orochimaru looked at Yamato and whispered "Don't expect an exaggerated display of politeness from me"
Yamato swallowed hard, he didn't even have time to answer when you come back in the room with a plate of pastries.
"Hey I didn't forget them after all" you said smiling.
"I bet these namagashis will be delicious my Dear" smiled your father.
Yamato's mouth hung open, not because of the pastries you bought in the bakery but because Orochimaru had just called you my Dear ?!? I mean he was your father but still it wasn't usual to act so- is that a genuine smile on his face ?!? O.O
After you all took a patisseries, orochimaru see you exchange a look of love with Yamato and he felt his heart swell, he was delighted to see his little flower happy and shining like that.
Yamato on his side had a hard time to relax. You realized this and discreetly tried to start a conversation with your father "So how are you doing ?" unfortunately for you the conversation lasted less time than you thought "Oooh you know the usual. Oh by the way Dear would you like to warm up my tea please it's running cold" "Of course" and with that you went back to the kitchen with his glass of tea in hand.
Once you were out of sight, Orochimaru, after taking a bite from his cake, put it back down and asked the man in front of him "I hope this isn't one of your schemes to keep an eye on me. If she ever were to complain about you in any way you will have to deal with me"
The end of his sentence was brimming with murderous envy. Of course he wanted to assess Yamato's worth but he was firm on the fact that whoever hurt his princess would end up hearing from him. Of course Yamato realized this last part and almost choked on his cake, he quickly took a sip of tea to swallow. Then he spoke, his eyes full of determination.
"No, of course not, I will never allow myself to play with her feelings in order to ensure your surveilliance"
His interlocutor smirked "Talking about feelings. Did the ROOT give them back to you packed in a box ?"
And just at these words, a wave of feelings comes to crash on the poor yamato, who had no idea of what Orochimaru was currently trying to do. Maybe because of stress or something else he didn't even think that the latter was maybe trying to test him. No, directly his mind jumped to conclusions and he imagined a twisted scenario in which Orochimaru decided that he had had enough of him and decided to eliminate him coldly.
But listening to his heart Yamato instead of crumbling under the weight of the words, decided to straighten up and look Orochimaru in the eye, his eyes filled with a certain determination and dare he add an ounce of protectiveness. Liking the look in his eyes, Orochimaru smiled - but even his smile was frightening for him lmao - causing Yamato to be even more wary.
As he tried to gather his words to refute your father's words and express his true and unwavering devotion to you, you came back in with the steaming tea as requested, along with another cake
As you placed the tea in front of your father and the cake in the center of the table, your gaze fell on Yamato who had just swallowed the words he was about to address to your father. The smile he tried to throw at you to divert attention, as you sat back down next to him, could not hide the apprehension in his eyes.
You decided not to say anything, judging that if Yamato had thought it worthwhile to talk about it, he would have done so. However, your resolve was broken when your father took a knife to cut the cake and Yamato squeezed your hand under the table quite tightly.
And as if to add to his condition, your father spoke up and put a piece of cake in front of Yamato "I made this one myself. As a guest you'll be the first tasting it"
He couldn't say no in front of you, so with a trembling hand Yamato took a fork and dug it into the slice of cake before putting it in his mouth and exchanging a fearful look with you.
"What the hell was going on ?" you thought while waiting for him to finish his bite. He couldn't say that he didn't like the cake the sannin made however he was weary at the sight of its composition.
That was enough for you and you asked him "Tenzo are you feeling alright ?"
He looked at you with a face full of recognition, but also of embarrassment, as he saw Orochimaru serve you a piece and you too took a bite. He wouldn't try to poison his own child after all and with that he realized little by little that his apprehension and distrust of the sannin was a little out of place.
He looked at you before looking at your father, his voice filled with remorse even though he was trying to hide it "I'm sorry for the misunderstanding"
You looked at both of them trying to understand what misunderstanding your partner was talking about but Orochimaru spoke up.
"There is nothing wrong with that, my reputation is tenacious and I know it. However I appreciate what I can see before me" he said nodding approvingly as he looked at you.
You glanced at Yamato whose look made you understand that he was going to explain everything to you later. The meeting went much better than it had started for everyone, Yamato felt much more at ease, Orochimaru seemed satisfied with your choice and you... well you still had trouble understanding what you had missed but you were happy that everything went well nevertheless.
As you realized that the meeting was coming to an end, orochimaru spoke up "And by the way, who is going to move in with whom, as I realize that you both live in the center of town, maybe a house more away from the hustle and bustle would be more appropriate for infants"
"Infants ?!? 👀" exclaimed Yamato, a hint of red defining itself on his cheeks, his eye twitching.
"Pfffffffff dad !!!" you said after making a spit take as you started to choke on the little bit of tea you had swallowed. Yamato jumped towards you and gently tapped on your back to help you evacuate.
"What I'm worried about is my offspring-" he said before dodging a kunai that you threw at him. Yamato whistled, you were indeed your father's daughter. The latter chuckled "Oh I'm teasing you, Darling. Take care" and with that he placed a kiss on your forehead, nodded to Yamato and left your apartment, a smile on his lips as he added "Until next time Tenzo" and closed the door behind him, and this time it was the one who made a spit take.
You chuckled at your father's behavior, you didn't expect it all to go so well. When your gaze rested on Yamato, he was red, his mind retracing what your father had said about the children. A slight shudder ran through his body as he imagined the possible consequences that Orochimaru's words of you both having kids were having on him.
You gently ran your hand over his arm telling him how great he did for an official first meeting with your father. You quirked an eyebrow at him when you left how hot his skin felt under your touch "Aw is it because he talked about children that you are in this state ?" you chuckled as he buried his face in your neck his face as red as a tomato.
"You know" you said still patting his back "The subject of children won't be on the plate until the two of us decide it. That won't stop us from having our fun though" you said winking at him and clearing away the cakes that were on the table.
As his eyes followed your figure retreating into the kitchen, he couldn't help but feel a shiver of anticipation run through his body, was this an invitation ? Well for that there was only one way to know. He ran his fingers through his hair and with a decided but timid step decided to follow you. And take whatever you had in store for him.

altoooo since i so love your perspective on things: do you have any headcanons about genesis's adoptive parents? i'm working on a fic and i want to gather some different perspectives on them. literally all we know in canon amounts to a few throwaway lines in extracanonical material -- "Despite being under observation, after living as parents and child for so many years Genesis’ ‘parents’ eventually become attached to him, and are willing to betray ShinRa to protect him. However, his foster parents’ true intent doesn’t get through to Genesis, and kills even his parents."
I've talked about it a bit before but I'll expand on it!
My idea of Gen's parents is that they both wanted the glitz and glamor of adopting a "special" kid from Project G, but were overall pretty neglectful and inept once the adoption finalized.
Genesis spends much of his early years being ignored and treated like a prized object instead of a person, slowly fostering the need to show off and brag in order to hide his sadness and insecurities, as well as receive attention. His parents spend a lot of time shoving him into various programs and activities as a means of generating clout, but Genesis proves to be sickly, unathletic, and bored for the most part. Genesis retreats more into books and poetry to escape his lonely surroundings, developing a special interest and obsession with Loveless primarily to give his life some meaning. His father in particular doesn't think much of him, viewing him as "girly" and "unfocused". It isn't until Genesis literally invents apple juice that his parents show any genuine pride towards him. And even then, they still try to take most of the credit.
Genesis' friendship with Angeal is also a point of contention as his parents view Angeal and his family as "trashy" due to their impoverished background. Genesis always meets up with Angeal in secret, and comes to love Angeal's family more than his own.
Things come to a head when word of Sephiroth's doings becomes known across Banora. Genesis instantly falls in love with the idea of Sephiroth acting as a famous hero, deciding to finally pursue a real purpose by enlisting in SOLDIER, hoping to one day meet his idol and possibly emerge his equal, if not just as famous. And Angeal goes with him of course. Genesis is extremely eager to get away from his parents, only accepting the lavish supplies they present him with before booking it out to Midgar the first chance he gets.
He does not visit home thereafter, only ever communicating with his parents via letters. They only ever seem to right to him whenever they are enquiring about their patented Banora White Juice products, or if they want a slice of the coveted wealth Genesis has acquired over the years in SOLDIER. Genesis doesn't like to talk about them, unless it's to speak ill of them in general. Over the years, he's reassessed a lot of his childhood encounters with them as being emotionally abusive, coming to terms with his neglect. He realizes on some level that they could have been better. But he also knows they'll always be...well, them. He doesn't need to dwell on it like someone like, say, Sephiroth might. It is what it is.
Years later, his clones storm Banora, eviscerating everything and everyone. Genesis discovers his parents' bodies amidst the fray, impulsively cut down by a gaggle of clones without his permission. On one hand, good riddance. On the other hand, it only fuels his degradation-influenced despair that much more. He buries them himself shortly after, expressionless, brushing away the brief flare of grief to be replaced with lingering anger, blame, and resentment.
What Genesis doesn't know is that his parents were slowly beginning to regret their neglect, concerned about their son's whereabouts and not willing to give up his location. Gen's rebellion had lost them the wealth and popularity they'd enjoyed at home. But instead of cursing their son, they realized that perhaps they'd never truly known him at all. It seems that old age, karma, and years of guilt finally caught up with them, looking to make things right, to own up to their mistakes and potentially reconcile. But by then, it's just too late.

Have you read one fanfic on AO3 titled Re:Incarnated? One of the most interesting and new aspects of this story for me was Subaru being reborn as a half-elf by Satella. I bet no one has ever thought and acted on that idea before, but there are some questions that bother me, for example, in the canon series there are moments where Subaru relies on Earth's modern technology and knowledge to solve difficult problems, Subaru becomes a half-elf in the world of Rezero and that means that he forgets about his previous life on Earth in Japan, and then when faced with the same dilemma How should Subaru solve it? But I feel these questions should go wait for the original author's update to get answered.
I have to say that fic opened a new door for my inspiration, and I also started to think about creating my own Subaru's elf or half-elf AU, and even imagined a crossover with Lord of the Rings (after all, there's a ton of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter crossover fics on AO3 and fanfiction) Like one day Subaru is for whatever reason transported to Middle-earth by Satella accidentally and experienced something there, and then how he was found and adopted by the elves of Middle-earth, I think it would be very interesting how the elves of Middle-earth were surprised to find out that elves existed in the Otherworld, Subaru looks similar to them but differs in a few places, and then how Subaru got along with the elves of Middle-earth, and how he explored his own existence and self-worth,how would it be different than the canon series (My half-elf Subaru's character isn't too far off from the canon) Sorry I'm getting a bit carried away, I'm an incorrigible and extreme fan of crossover tropes, I hope you don't mind too much!
yoo sorry i took so long to reply to this ask but please know im delighted to see any asks in my inbox and pfft its interesting hearing about what people are thinking + what they find interesting themselves!!!
as for re:incarnated - i read a chapter or two AGES ago, so i really dont remember much of the fic sadly T^T but ill consider possibly going back to it and reading through it!!! i have a very long to read list though so ill see pfft. and yeah i think that fic was def like. one of if not the first fic to have like half elf subaru as an idea be explored and it also shows a Different method of the isekai trope (being reincarnated!!!) which is fun i think!! plus like. putting "re:" in fic titles is EXTREMELY extremely common in this fandom which i suppose makes sense given. the source material is called rezero. granted most of the time (this is just my opinion btw and i mean no harm by it HAH), to me a lot of fics with "re:" in the title dont justify why the "re:" is actually there. "Re:Incarnated" though is an EXTREMELY good use of the "re" imo. i love the pun <3
yeah as for the fic material itself - i do think its interesting to like change small bits of characters. not in the sense that youre changing like the Core of who they are but i Like seeing experimentations with characters to see like small differences. which is why i love aus (such as the literal canon aus we get in the form of the What Ifs and such!!). if that makes sense. that probably makes more sense in my head HAH anyway!! i always feel like changing a characters backstory is SO HARD to pull off without completely changing a character bc it shapes them a lot. but half elf subaru is definitely an idea that can be done in an interesting way imo and im curious to see how re:incarnated handled that. i know ive considered like emisuba roleswaps myself where emilia was isekaied from earth and subarus a half elf which was kind of like re:incarnated but also not like re:incarnated bc subaru had a similar backstory still but now with a fantasy world background (and vice versa for emilia) aljdfdlsjf. but yeah like i like seeing people experiment with these characters and make fun aus!!! and for me personally its hard for me to find ones i like in this fandom + this fandom doesnt do all the usual fic-isms (like there is next to zero soulmate aus for example HAH) so. interesting i suppose!!
as for your own half elf subaru au - im delighted that you were inspired by re:incarnated and are having fun with your own au as well!! :D while i basically know next to nothing about lord of the rings, your idea definitely sounds interesting, though i dont usually read crossovers that arent fusion aus - but i REALLY love the idea of like two different elf species from two different worlds going ??? at each other HAH thats fun stuff!! and i definitely like when despite all the AU things going on, characters like subaru arent too far off from canon in all the big important ways (ie his whole personality) bc for me, its like - theres a reason why we love these characters and i love trying to capture the heart of who they are even with au things, you know? :o but hah yeah ive made my own crossovers though in private (not to post, just for fun pfft) and i hope you keep having fun about your own half elf subaru au bc it sounds very neat <3 ty for sharing anon!! :D

I just saw what you had said about SFW omegaverse, and I wanted to talk (or debate, if you'd like) how possible it'd be to write something about a relationship with a single mom omega and an alpha who's not the other parent of the child. (The pup was a product of a hookup with bad luck)
I think that it could happen because, first the omega is unmated, and second, the children (in my canon of the omegaverse) have the scent of both parents, and while that means they have the scent of the alpha progenitor scent, it is mixed with the omega's progenitor scent. But I want to know your take on this.
Hi!
First of all, I'm of the opinion that anything is possible in omegaverse genre as it seems to be held together by loose assumptions, scotch tape, and whispers of tumblr of old.
But putting that *PSA* aside, within the confines of omegaverse tradition I don't see a problem with this. I guess here are three issues you might be thinking of.
If the problem you envision is that a previously coupled omega is now dating someone else, I would say this would only be a problem in an au where mating precedes sexual activity, meaning it would be impossible for an unmated omega to biologically reproduce. I've never seen this style, I think it would be interesting, but this isn't a commonly held idea I've come across around here.
If the problem you envision is that the alpha now has a fatherly-role towards a pup that isn't his, I've read plenty of fics with some similar situation regardless of if the omega is in the picture or not. Step-parenting and having relationships with people who have children is very common. I think it would be more nuanced if the alpha was the one coming into the relationship with the pup making the omega the step-parent, but this still would be widely accepted within the omegaverse community.
The scent of the pup would not match the scent of the alpha. This too wouldn't be a problem, unless it's impossible to take in a pup who isn't your own via adoption, fostering, unoffical means, etc.. And/or it's seen as extremely offensive to someone (?) to be calling yourself the parent of a child who doesn't share your scent. Not many aus that I've read use the concept of familial scent lines, and the ones I have seen don't address what would happen if a pup and parent didn't match, or mention that it doesn't matter.

While I am aware that abuse of the protagonist is an extremely common trope regardless of fandom, I never really like it when Izuku takes so much, especially when it comes to abusive parents and adults, the bashing of everyone who is in his friend group, and robbing him of his love interests in pursue of shipping him with his abusers. While shipping is its own issue and has been known to cause wars across multiple fandoms, I don’t like the extreme angsty Izuku stories.
Is it because people view him as a cinnamon bun even though he canonically is one of the most feral people in MHA, which proportionally speaking, abuse of the innocent characters is a past time for those writers? If I recall from someone’s post/tweet, it’s that when people intentionally writes the fandom version of the characters all the time, they don’t actually care/don’t like the characters and don’t actually watch the show
I think bashing is something that happens in every fandom to some extent. How much seems to fluctuate somewhat, Miraculous Ladybug is currently being eaten alive by character bashing (and depending on your opinion some of that bashing is from official sources) and my beta reader informed me that they'd seen someone genuinely argue that Zelda in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom is abusing Link.
The truth is, and I don't really think there's a way around saying it, but bashing is lazy writing.
Like you said, if you want Midoriya to end up with someone that isn't one of his canon friends but don't want to put in the work to develop chemistry between them, all you have to do is make everyone inexplicably assume Midoriya is a Villain except the chosen romantic partner. If you want the parental figure of choice to adopt him all you have to do is make Inko a monster. Once you're willing to ignore canon and brute force your way into the desired outcome, discarding characters by ignoring their actual characterizations becomes the optimal solution.
I've also observed the sort of echo chamber or feedback loop in fanon. Not everyone who writes for a fandom has consumed canon an base their understandings off of fics. I've seen people talk about what assumptions they made as things that are canon or fanon based solely on fics and it's always interesting (I specifically think of the person who thought that Hawks canonically stress-grips like a bird, but did not think it was canon that he was bought as a child).
Not to mention that, especially in larger fandoms, there's a lot of fan material to consume. There are 284,496 My Hero Academia fics on Ao3 alone at time of writing and I'm sure it will be higher by the time I'm done writing this. However, canon updates on a mostly weekly basis and, as manga chapters, can have relatively little happen in a single chapter. It will always be outpaced by the fan works.
The end result is certain popular concepts can become widely accepted even if they're shaky or baseless in canon. I've discussed Dadzawa here a lot as something that has a massive following but little-to-no support in canon.
There's an idea I hear known as Sturgeon's Law, that is quoted as saying "90% of Everything Is Shit." A fandom with ten fics has only 9 fics that can disappoint you by that number. A much larger fandom has much more writers with a much greater variance in skill and experience. In short, big fandoms have a higher volume of writers who are lazy, unskilled, inexperienced, or influenced by fanon over canon because there's simply more of them.

Do you have any headcanons about L and Watari’s relationship? I always liked to imagine that he gave L a positive childhood, he just seems like a sweet old man haha
Haha I'm of two kinda minds about Watari, where I think he's funny and an enjoyable almost meme-like presence onscreen (how he just is ALWAYS full of surprises, like going from scooping ice cream to being an amazing sniper in a helicopter etc). BUT I also think the idea of Wammy's itself is a very shady and unethical and corrupt kinda thing to do, so I doubt that he actually really is just a super well-intentioned and altruistic sweet old man.
I basically take the one-shot about L's childhood as canon, where Watari sort of saw a lot of potential in this super difficult little prodigy child at one of his orphanages and adopted him because he started doing things like making Watari a lot of money in the stock market and so on. L showed the initial genuine interest in solving criminal cases himself at a young age, and then Watari encouraged and enabled him to do that 24/7 while protecting and sheltering him and taking care of the rest of his wants and his needs. I think Watari was almost seeing L like a plant he was watering and feeding with Miracle Gro and so on...his goal wasn't necessarily to raise a well-rounded and well-adjusted person to live a super long and happy life, but to maximize L's potential at being the best detective in the world, and to meanwhile keep L content by indulging him in his whims. Which isn't necessarily the kind of parenting I'd hope to do myself, but THAT BEING SAID I'm sure L and Watari probably had some good times together occasionally while L was growing up nonetheless.
I think Watari was pretty intuitive about how to best approach L's needs and his strong personality, which would be a relief for an eccentric person like L who is so often misunderstood by others. I think he likely talked to L much more like a peer at a younger age than most other adults would have, which L no doubt would have enjoyed as a very precocious and opinionated and driven child. L probably bounced his ideas off Watari quite often, and for the most part Watari listened patiently and agreed with him (which is maybe a big part of why L has such a hard time being disagreed with or working in a team as an adult, too).
I could see Watari taking L travelling A LOT as a kid and showing him all the most amazing cities and sights and cuisine and culture at every location they stop (though it's often a struggle for him to get L to even want to leave his hotel room when he's really caught up in trying to solve one of his cases on his laptop or something like that). In my mind L is a very curious and adventurous person who would be willing to try a lot of different things at least once. Especially if it has an element of exciting danger or novel challenge or mysterious unknown to it that he would like to better understand first-hand for himself. And Watari probably almost always supports L in these desires and makes it so much easier for L to try out all of those different things.
I think it would be nice if there was one specific niche hobby that the both of them really enjoyed and made plans to do together approximately once a year or so. Like maybe L introduces Watari to an extreme sport that he's never tried himself before, like skydiving, and the two of them do that together once a year in a new location every time. 😅

Top 5 headcanons?
I like it when Wild (or botw Link in general) has some weird death stuff going on, whether he actually died and has unlocked some spooky death stuff (talking and seeing ghosts, being able to hold other spirits within his body ie. the champions and the sheikah monks) Like that dying fundamentally changed him and opened him up to the world of spirits and gods, he can hear and communicate with Hylia and ride the lord of the mountain and is buddies with Malanya and can see koroks and dragons which can normally be seen only by the pure of heart or children and it's not his hero status that opened him up to this world but the fact that he died and came back. (this can also be linked to my witch/potion maker Wild hc but I shouldn't ramble too much about him I've already done that...)
Wind's growth spurt. He will eventually be the tallest among them. Even taller than Time and Warriors. It all happens before the events of the comic are over. He's going to be like six feet tall.
Fierce Dadity > evil war god as a tool for angst and whump, I think it is objectively far more interesting as a vibe to have an extremely powerful deity that adopts the team's local dad. The dad gets out-dadded by the scariest dude imaginable. It's so funny and also I'm tired of the big bad mask that possesses Time and makes him kill the other Link's just bc the author was feeling evil.
Fairy Hyrule, not just as a fun little ability or spell but as like, a part of his identity and biology. He isn't even Hylian canonically (which makes his nickname very funny to me), but a foreigner from Calatia, (which I have my own ideas about specifically to link him to my fairy hero but that's not what this is about lol) I just think it's very fun when his fairy origins are played with for plot and also for fun.
Time's Age, with all the time travel and time loops, he genuinely does not know how old he really is. sometimes he acts kind of childlike and sometimes he acts like he's a crotchety old grandpa. It doesn't help that he was raised by the oldest being ever and alongside eternally youthful beings with him being the only one who could ever physically age. He can't even figure out a number range for how old he is. It confuses him so he just doesn't think about it and thus doesn't like it when the chain speculates about it.

Hi my brain has been rotting over the idea of Midnight adopting Kaminari Denki and being the best mother ever but I couldn't find any fanfic for this silly little idea or any other content in general so I'm making it by spewing word vomit about my headcanons.
This is all my headcanons, if you dont like it shut up and go find something you do like leave me to my thoughts so I can ignore canon
Anyway this all spawned because this scene obviously
Tumblr media
So my brain thought of multiple different scenarios of how she ended up adopting him and a bunch of wacky situations but that don't matter what matters is I think Midnight is a great mom.
She is the mom who is actually friends with her kid. They have a similar sense of humor and enjoy doing stuff together. She is the most supportive and is always hyping kaminari up and boosting his confidence. But she also doesn't sugarcoat things or lie to him. She tells it to him straight.
This isn't important really but it's very important to me. I think they would bond over watching trashy TV and laughing at how horrible it is while getting deeply invested.
Kaminari loves his mom she's just great. She is his biggest supporter. Not only does she encourage him to be his best and validate his interests but she calls him out when he needs it. She also helps him whenever he needs her without being a helicopter parent. Her motto is go be independent but if you get hurt call me and tell me who's ass I need to beat up including if its your's. She gives good life lessons.
I also think it would be funny if both kaminari and midnight just tend to not tell people they are mother and son just to see how long it takes for people to figure it out. Aizawa finds out immediately, the bakusquad take a really long time.
Kaminari is a mama's boy and he is proud of it. "You have mommy issues? What's that like can't relate".
They have mother son shopping trips where they just try to find the weirdest shit they can and buy it. Don't tell me they wouldn't midnight has mop slippers and have you seen kaminari's room!
I don't know why but they give eachother annoying yet endearing nicknames. Im tired of people giving their children adorable nicknames, give your kid something weird out of context.
Midnight: "Wall Socket can you check if the dryer turned off"
Denki: "on it Nightey Night"
They are the type of family where to everyone else they always seem like they are bullying eachother but this is just how they vibe. Kaminari calls his mom a bitch and she responds by calling him a mistake with a smile, they laugh about it after they proceed to call eachother a bunch of crude or mean names.
Also I Headcanon that Kaminari short circuiting actually frightens him alot and can be painful. Midnight is always there to comfort him through it.
They both also have a love for old or classical literature and art and can go on for hours on the weird history and conspiracies about classical novels and Renaissance paintings.
Midnight goes mama bear anytime anyone dares hurt her baby. She gets teasing and jokes but when she gets the vibe someone is being genuinely mean it's on sight. Same goes with kaminari, if anyone says something disrespectful to his mama it's drained batteries and extreme static shock for a year.
I just want them both to be a happy chaotic Lil found family man is that too much to ask, apparently yes.

Out of all those recruiter x hero/princess/prince of their stories, which one do you think would actually work if things were done differently in their stories? This is for the platonic, family like vibes, and romances
I would hope that my personality pages already answered this question. And I think you've asked me that before as well. But for the new people in the fandom who want my opinion:
Apple Poison and Snow White:
My version of Apple starts off extremely cold, and dare I say charmingly sinister. Snowy probably wouldn't see him as a romantic option, and neither would he.
He's more amused by her than anything and finds her positive nature fascinating.
It could work if one wanted to flirt with the idea, and they would certainly be a more interesting pair than Snow and Prince Florian (Yes, that's the prince's actual name).
But personally, I see him more as a treasured friend and advisor to Snow than anything.
Jack Heart and Alice:
Big brother and little sister duo all the way!!
Though I'm a little concerned about how much ship fanart I see of them. And no, before anyone asks, it's not even adult Alice from the Tim Burton movies! She's her 12-year-old self from the 2d animated movie! Wtf guys???!!
With that out of the way, they would make the cutest sibling duo ever. Jack being the trickster, and Alice being the level-headed yet adventurous sister. So cute!
Malfi (Malfie) and Aurora
I actually like Prince Philip, but if we're looking at this from an alternate dimension, I could totally see Malfi and Aurora getting together.
Her kindhearted, playful nature would bounce off his vain and egocentric one perfectly. And it would even help give Aurora even more depth than she already did.
I had this one idea that after Maleficent dies, Malfi turns back into a raven. Maybe that could factor in why he's so indebted to Maleficent since he doesn't want to give up his "perfect" form. However, he does the right thing and lives in peace knowing that.
Whether you play up the tragic angle, as in, Malfi would give her up for her to be with Prince Philip in the end, or if you actually want them to end up together, it would be an interesting set up.
Eight Foot Joe and Ariel
I've seen this as a ship, and I understand why. It's an adorable one when you think about it: Grumpy guy and sweet girl. We've seen this set up thousands of times, and we can't get enough of it.
But here's the problem I have with this ship: Ariel is canonically 16. Granted, we don't know how old Joe is, but by my personal guess, he seems to be either a stress-aged young adult or a tired grown adult in his early 30s.
I know the recruiters look a lot older than they probably are due to their on-stage actors, but they also serve as our main source of info on the characters they play as.
Not to mention that Joe even calls Ariel "a little girl" when a guest asks him about her, which indicates that he sees her as someone way younger than him.
Personally, I see them having an uncle and niece dynamic.
If we're reimagining the movie with Joe in it, he would probably be known across the sea as a servant of Ursula. I mean, it's kinda hard to hide when you're the only other cecaelian around.
Maybe a young Ariel met him when he was just an octopus before Ursula transformed him. Hence why Ariel can't recognize him years later.
You could do a lot with this idea and play around with Joe being an uncle figure in Ariel's life.
Mr. Dalmatia and...the Dalmatians?
I guess they are the main characters, right?
In all seriousness, Dalma would've been adopted straight away by Pongo and Perdita if he hadn't been accidentally left behind during the escape. He would drink up their parental praise like his favorite juice. Still a brat, though, but a cute one for sure.
Pretty Scar (Mzuri) and Simba
If circumstances were different, I could see Simba, Nala, and Mzuri being friends when they were younger. Mzuri would go along with Scar's rule because she's forced to by relatives. But to redeem herself, she helps Pumbaa and Timon distract the other hyenas when Simba comes back.
If I were to add Mzuri in the story without them knowing each other, I can only really see them settling their differences in the second movie since hyenas are not respected in the Lion King universe at all.
Going by this route, PS would either despise Scar after he cowardly cast the blame towards the hyenas, or PS still clings to Scar even after he died and helps to raise Kovu.
In my mind, Mzuri would hate Scar after his betrayal, so maybe after wandering around for a few years, she catches wind of Zira's plot to overthrow Simba and wants to put a stop to it.
Ms. Hades and Hercules
Aunt and nephew relationship. She'd be reluctant at first to get close to him, but she can't resist his compassionate nature and would give him advice when she could.
I could see her looking after him in secret on earth without Hades knowing. She, alongside Phil, would train him. And MH would have inside knowledge on Hades' plans.
Veil and Quasimodo
In a perfect world where these two weren't manipulated by a horrid man who dared to call himself an archdeacon, they would see each other as siblings.
In the true world, however, if Veil was in the picture, she wouldn't hate Quasimodo, but she would ignore him. The bell ringer himself would be the only one to think of himself and Veil as siblings.
After Frollo dies, they both talk about their experiences and slowly work their way towards a brother - and sister-esque relationship.
Lady Hock, Peter Pan, and Wendy
If Hock was on the winning side, she'd be the best older sister/cool aunt towards Peter, Wendy, and the Lost Boys.
She would be protective of them, read them stories, help Wendy keep her sanity every time she visited, and even take care of Jane.
Faja, Aladdin, and Jazmine
Again, speaking in this hypothetical perfect world, Aladdin, Faja, and Abu would have been best friends. Maybe even siblings.
Faja would have been far away from Jafar's influence and twisted mind games. Her fiestiness and insecurity would still be there, but she her trust and security with Aladdin and Abu would overcome her fear.
She'd probably still want to learn magic, but she'd learn on her own terms.
However, in the true movie-verse, she would need to get over her misguided hatred towards Aladdin. He has everything a street rat like her could ever want, of course that would spawn jealousy.
In the end, she would team up with Aladdin in the "Jafar Returns" movie and later become the royal magician after Faja works on herself.

I've been thinking about werewolf designs recently, which has basically turned into analyzing my least favorite trends in modern werewolf media
pack focus - with a few exceptions, I find a pack of werewolves a huge downgrade from traditional singular ones (not you, Hotel Transylvania wolfman family-- you're angels and and we're thrilled you're here). How is a guy supposed to feel like a properly cursed and outcast abomination while hanging out with his 2 dozen friends who are exactly like him? "Packs" made up of lone lycanthropes who've adopted each other (for good or ill) is alright I guess, and if a whole family gets cursed The Quarry style, that's interesting at least. But I think getting back to solitary menace or lonely outcast werewolves is best.
too wolf-like - a lot of early werewolf accounts have people just turning into straightforward wolves. Some have a transformation into large, predatory creatures, more or less wolf-like depending on the region and the culture, but with features that differentiated them from wolves-- hybrid anatomy, missing tails, human eyes or other features. In others it's just "a creature," without an explicit lupine connection, or even just literally some guy but Powered Up and eating people. So there's no hard and fast "canon" folklore werewolf. Early monster movies (which established a lot of modern werewolf lore and the modern definition of a werewolf) gave us a creature that simply looks like a furry, monstrous humanoid, and nothing really like a wolf. What I'm saying is there's a lot of room for customization and new ideas. But instead I see very little experimentation or creativity, and a lot of Balto-meets-Van Helsing wolf-head-furry-body-man-pants thing (or worse, mangy pitbull rat hybrids) and a commitment to quasi-lupine traits and behaviors. BORING. If you're not married to literal-wolf werewolves, let's see some creativity! Be adventurous! Get inspired by old school werewolves, or do something completely new! Please!
not wolflike enough - if you are committed to generic wolf -based werewolves or anthropomorphic streetsharks-style man-wolves, at least be accurate about it! Wolves in the wild do not have true alpha-omega hierarchies (a pack in the wild is a family unit-- the parents are leaders, the rest of the pack are usually their children). Nor do wolves bite their mates to "mark" them (in fact, I went and looked into it, and didn't find any species that does, so now I'm curious where this whole idea even came from). ALSO it's kind of petty, but so many werewolf designs seem to look more like dogs than real wolves-- narrow nose bridges, too-close-together ears, etc. Basically, so much werewolf content is committed to this generic idea of werewolves that's not accurate to real wolves, frequently unconnected to any werewolf lore, originated in the last 10 or 15 years, and isn't even interesting for all that (with different versions of "generic" depending on genre)-- ditch it, and do something new, or at least accurate!
ugly = scary/boring = sexy - the two big splits of "generic" werewolves I'm seeing are in horror (movies mostly) and romance. Current horror werewolves seem to be stuck with this ugly, disheveled look-- mangy, molting-looking fur, extremely wrinkly, raw-looking face skin, beady eyes, no tails, skinny, bony-looking bodies, huge feet etc (honestly I think the Underworld designs are the progenitors of this); meanwhile romance werewolves are usually big and brawny, with lush fur and swishy tails and a very cartoony balance of human and wolf characteristics (I think this design is indebted to animated movies and furry art, but also think it was very influenced by Van Helsing's werewolves as well). Basically, I'd like some interesting, potentially scary looking werewolves! A scary design is not going to kill the sexiness! At the same time, a design does not have to be purposely ugly in order to be scary! (Case in point, it's not a werewolf, and much more feline, but I adore Angela Barret's design for the beast in Beauty and the Beast-- unique, bestial and potentially frightening, but also sleek and elegant.)
exclusively abo - I get it, I get it. But like, 90% of werewolf romance stuff is the "claimed as the alpha's mate" variety-- I would enjoy some diversity. Also, if it's heat you're into, that's in no way exclusive to either false real-world alpha hierarchies, or invented fictional ones.

What's your thoughts on the whole "Whale Prisoner" is Pearl's Actual Dad Theory? I may have not remembered if Pearl really was Mr. Krabs' adopted daughter or not but I heard some random rumors that the Male Whale Prisoner from "Jailbreak!" is Pearl's biological father since they are both Whales. Not much to say, but what do you think of that Theory?
admittedly, it kind of frustrates me when people suggest that in a cartoon like spongebob, it is impossible for pearl to be krabs' biological daughter and that she could only ever possibly be adopted; as if the show hasn't gone out of its way to regularly portray impossible cartoon antics that realistically wouldn't exist, but do anyhow? especially in the context of all of the marine life representing human people of different races and cultures - as if mixed race children don't exist? as if mixed cultural households aren't extremely common all over the world?
i don't actually have anything against the idea of pearl having been adopted - there's nothing wrong with characters being adopted or headcanoning them as being adopted - it's just that the mindset behind this specific headcanon results in ideas that are so rigid and unimaginative to me. additionally, it seems awfully arbitrary to decide that just because a one-off side character is the same species as a main character they must be related, when not all members of a species must automatically be related.
i don't think it'd even really contribute anything interesting or meaningful to the series or pearl's character that wouldn't be redundant or done better elsewhere or with other characters, so it'd be narratively pointless? if i was going to arbitrarily declare the prisoner whale related to any character in spongebob, it'd be the goth whale from mall girl pearl who got the job at scorched coral before pearl did - but even then, that's on the basis of both being largely irrelevant and not knowing anything about either of them as anything other than obstacles to the protagonists.
Tumblr media
technically speaking pearl probably would have been canonically adopted had vincent waller not shelved their planned pearl origin episode since he revealed on twitter that the episode would have revealed that she was a "foundling" BUT since the idea was shelved specifically because hillenberg was staunchly against any firm, official answers regarding pearl's origins (ie information about her mother, or whether or not she is adopted) so it's definitely not canon. there is no official canon whether pearl's adopted or not, there never will be, and there shouldn't be. there is no episode, short, movie, book, OR comic that says anything beyond "krabs is pearl's father, and pearl is krabs' daughter."
the only thing that is canon is that he was there for her birth and knew pearl's mom - and based on the way he talks to pearl about entering a relationship with "cashina" (plankton) in married to money, it's heavily suggested he was previously in a relationship with pearl's mom - so to me, the "foundling" idea doesn't really make sense, and it isn't an interesting exploration of what's already there. it'd make more sense for krabs to have been a step-father who adopted his wife's child before she was no longer in the picture, if he isn't her biological father.
but i do personally believe pearl is krabs' biological child, and that she is the result of krabs' union with her mother. who that mother was may never be known, but i'm fine with that because i love the creativity that entails. there's so many different ideas for who she might have been and why she's no longer around, and it's exciting to see the different ideas people have! i've got my own idea about pearl's mom, and here's a similar concept that i also like a lot.

I'm not sure if I read something along the lines of trigon used azarath to ruin raven in a way he could control, but I just had a thought. If everyone in azarath was emotionally lobotomied and could not feel negative emotions then raven may have felt like the only real person there, everyone else being so passive and not all there. It's a miracle she didn't give in to trigon's message of we are on another level, everyone else is beneath us.
OOO that's so interesting...
Trigon did say he wanted Raven to be adopted by Azarath so she'd be trained in a way he could control.
Tumblr media
(tales of the ntt #2)
I don't think he's being disingenuous here, he did want Raven to be raised by Azarath both to keep her safe, as no one there would harm her, and they'd train her powers in a specific way he could easily control. This isn't canon, but I do like to headcanon that at least a part of the reason Raven getting emotional leaves her so open to being controlled by Trigon is specifically because Azarath instilled that fear in her.
That is a super interesting idea... I don't think that no one on Azarath necessarily feels no negative emotions. I think what they purged is specifically any violent emotions, but they can still feel things like sadness. That being said, I think Raven seeing other people on Azarath as incomplete because of their refusal to fight is an interesting idea.
I think she does to an extent; in the first Trigon arc, there's a lot of her trying to urge Azarath to help her stop Trigon only for it all to be in vain. She gets upset at their refusal to fight, even to save lives.
Tumblr media
(ntt vol 1 #5)
I really love the way Raven's arc is her finding a middle ground between two extreme sides; Azarath's all or nothing pacifism and Trigon's senseless violence. She learns she can fight for what she believes in and to keep people safe without her becoming evil or like Trigon.
Such an important part of Raven's story is despite all of Trigon's efforts, Raven is a good person. Even after rejecting Azarath, she still remains pacifistic and only fights to protect and only when it's necessary. She helps people even when others would've turned away just because she can and she wants to. She fights so, so hard against Trigon, only giving in when she truly has no other choice.
Ultimately, Raven's story is about being able to accept every part of herself; Trigon's daughter, a follower of Azar, and a Titan, and growing into herself as her own person. I love her so much ❤️🥰

Syril for the ask game if you haven’t had him already! 8, 12 and 16
8. Your favorite outfit of them
HOW DARE YOU MAKE ME CHOOSE?! Oh, god. There's a special place in my heart for his Preox-Morlana uniform, because it's so blue, and his eyes are so blue, and I fell into the trash can the second I saw him in it, and... yeah. Extremely well thought-out reasoning there, I know. Also, we don't talk about this outfit enough:
Tumblr media
HE LOOKED SO GOOD IN THAT VEST?????????? He looked so good in that vest. That's all.
12. Sexuality hc!
If I'm remembering right, bi Syril is canon-ish? I don't think Tony's ever commented on it, but Kyle mentioned something in an interview once.
With that said I think Syril has probably only dated women, and extremely sparingly. Like, I think he maybe went on a date, once, and it didn't go well, and he was left mildly scarred and confused by the whole thing. As a result, he never took an interest in finding love again until Dedra Meero rewired his brain.
16. A childhood headcanon
Most of my headcanons about Syril's childhood have come from larger fandom discussions I've seen, so this might be less my own idea and more concepts I've read and decided to adopt as true. At some point, someone (maybe you???) said Syril taught himself how to sew when he was younger so that he could tailor his own clothing and make himself appear higher-class than he and Eedy actually were. That's stuck with me, as has the possibility of Eedy being from Naboo (which I know you came up with, and I've accepted as canon until the show tells me otherwise).

Can we learn more about your Caryll?
Well I’m glad you ask. unfold giant paper
I don’t know if you’re familiar with the lil things I already made ? (About Caryll or my other interpretations, I already talked a bit about Caryll and I did some little drawings that I’m going to repost there + there’s a few ideas in my fic too hehe)
So, dear runesmith Caryll (my beloved). I know canon/lore wise we know almost nothing except that they translate a big part of the runes + create the rune tool that is extremely practical in the game. Somehow with so little I managed to create an interpretation I really like and found really cool!
Tumblr media
Because the post is super long the rest under the cut.
First, I need to mention I use they/them when I talked about Caryll (so it's more clear for everyone and yeah non binary Caryll rules! In French it’s a bit more complex but I try to keep it neutral...too bad we don't have neutral pronoun.) But really they can dress with any type of clothes too so they don't really mind that some person could use one gender above the other for them.
You know, sometimes in the fromsoftware games some descriptions are keep neutral (in Japanese) and become masculine with the translation (so we can’t really be sure for Caryll) and also just because I can’t choose XD (both a female or male version of Caryll are interesting !
And I’m really bad at choosing so I thought… why not nonbinary Caryll?? there’s just a lil fellow :) It’s funny because usually I managed to choose, for Dores I managed for exemple but Caryll I can’t… I like various interpretations of bloodborne story & characters too ! Always so interesting and enjoyable to saw the one of others! And I guess the others characters try to keep it neutral too and because they have no idea either
Tumblr media
So i really come up with this design randomly. I was thinking of a design for them and boom that what’s came into my mind. Already made a post here.
At the beginning there’s a students at Byrgenwerth, then a researchers after obtaining their degree and then worked with the Church (and began the choir?), the hunters etc... They might came from or have family in Hemwick or the Fishing Hamlet perhaps? (Like this headcanon) but i didn’t thought of everything yet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now personality wise if I had to resume, I will say they’re a just a lil "guy" :) they’re kind, curious, really intelligent a bit shy too (but it get better after they grow up a bit) the least agressive person ever…(absolutely not based on one of my own friend) it's just the vibe that it gives me. Really everyone loved them too (because runes/translate great one>all) younger than the majority of the students that came at Byrgenwerth so a bit complicated at first. Then some accident in the pthumeru labyrinth happened then boom you hear great ones and can understand runes. So yeah sometimes they’re acting really weird (like staring at the sea/lake at 2am but he’s not the only one so it’s ok xD) but who isn’t mad in bloodborne hm? At the beginning it’s still like ok and more consider « lunatic » and I least that help them understand a lot of thing + hear stuff + have dreams. But years pass and the voices become louder and louder…
I won’t talk to their relationship with everyone in details (that would be too long so maybe later) but in my hc they're quite close to Laurence, Maria & Gehrman (+had some class with Maria, Ludwig, Rom, Mico etc...) And basically a lot of people just like them in general. Willem took them under his wing too (well that man literally like to « adopted » + help kids & young adults in need XD
Tumblr media
(a lil adventure featuring Caryll, Maria & Ludwig in the forbidden woods here xD )
I'm not sure when the choir been formed but Caryll might be the their first « leader » You see the choir’s hat ? Caryll was the first one to have one like that.
And remember the eye pendant ? The one you got from cleric beast Laurence to go to the research hall? One of my most recent hc is that before Laurence had it, it belongs to Caryll.
Little facts :
Probably had an arcane build at some point
Like to look at big body of water (sea/lake)
Had a lil scar under the left eye but can actually see well from it. Until the fishing hamlet.
Caryll had augurs of Ebrietas (Caryll found them and keep the first ones they took back from Isz) and seems to understand them.
The choir's hat prototype they have was a gift made by Gehrman.
They helped Maria with the Astral clocktower construction.
They had some classes with Maria, Ludwig, Mico, Rom, Damian etc back in Byrgenwerth and pass their exams almost at the same time.
Laurence was their fav teacher.
Dores liked them (she don't like many people so that's huge)
They pass the Cainhurst vibe check.
Alcohol is not really their thing but they can drink more glasses than Laurence.
Can pass from one type of clothes to another really often. Making super confused someone who don't know them really well and saw them only once or twice before. What a fashion icon
"If I was a slug would you still love me ?"
Tumblr media
And to finished you might wonder what happened to them in the end ? Well the game never answered us on that so... all I can say is that it's and it’s not going to end very well… But at least they're not trap forever in the nightmare like some, so it could be worse 🥲, Kos had some mercy. I like created funny hc but I got some really angsty and tragic one too T_T Even if I wonder why I made myself suffered I'm really proud of what I came up with for Caryll, and the impact it had on other characters.
And i will stop there i think. It’s a good introduction for now ! I have still so much to tell but another day x)

Terrible Fic Ideas #19: Star Wars, but make it Empress Palpatine
The thing I love about Star Wars is that, force powers aside, the situation is one we all can easily see happening. (It can be difficult to believe that a mostly peaceful, benevolent Federation of Planets can spawn on Earth and come to encompass a good chunk of the galaxy a la Star Trek, but the rise and fall of an authoritarian state is all too easy to imagine, even in another galaxy.)
But when asked to given an example of an authoritarian ruler, I can only think of examples like Emperor Palpatine - which is to say, even looking at the wikipedia page on the subject I can't find a female example. So I thought... what if? Or more specifically, what if it was Empress Palpatine?
Just imagine it:
Specifically, imagine a universe where absolutely nothing changes except for Palpatine's gender. This has a few cascading effects in how Palpatine relates to Ankain and how the senator/chancellor is viewed by the galaxy at large, but does not change the overall course of events.
Instead of a wise old man, Palpatine is a wise old woman, presenting a matriarchal, grandmotherly care towards Anakin. This has the side effect of pulling Anakin in two more "opposed" directions - maternal from Palpatine, paternal/fraternal from Obi-Wan - instead of Palpatine and Obi-Wan "competing" for the same slice of the father-figure pie, as it were. Again, it changes nothing in the long run, just the dynamic of how their influences over Anakin play out.
For instances, a boy may tell his mother things he'd never tell his father, and vice versa. Also, there is a tendency to assume women are more compassionate and empathetic, so Anakin going to the woman he's closest to with his problems might raise fewer eyebrows than running to another male in a position of authority.
It might also put a subtle mother-in-law/daughter-in-law tension between Palpatine and Padme if Anakin keeps going to his mother figure with issues one might traditionally expect to be brought first to a wife.
This dynamic could be even more interesting to the explore than the mother/father of Obi-Wan and a female Palpatine, as there might be something I almost hesitate to call Cersei-like about it. Both are powerful women in politics from Naboo, but, without knowing the Sith plot in the background, it looks a lot like young, beautiful Padme's star is rising while old, aging Palpatine's star is falling. I'm sure an enterprising Sith can find some way to manipulate Anakin with that.
But otherwise... everything stays exactly the same. Fall of the Republic, rise of the Empire - and, later, fall of the Empire. The only difference is we have an Empress.
Perhaps it makes some parts of the Rebellion harder, as a female overlord might be assumed to care more for her subjects than a male, or at least speak as if she does in a manner that might be subconsciously believed more, but otherwise makes no difference.
And that's it really. All this idea boils down to is: give me Star Wars, but give me a slightly different set of interpersonal relationships between the antagonists, and, consequently, between the major figures in their lives.
Bonuses include: 1) all too often female representations of evil involve sexual deviance and/or extreme sexualization. Not here. Palpatine should be as sinister, tyrannical, and sexless as her canon counterpart. This should be especially clear in the differences in how Palpatine and Padme dress. 2) Everyone in the Jedi Temple reading a different set of problems into Anakin's friendship with the Chancellor. And 3) Luke, at some point, having learned Darth Vader is his father and seeing the relationship he has with the Empress, being force to wonder if Empress Palpatine really is his grandmother.
As always, feel free to adopt this bunny. Just let me know if you ever do anything with it.
