The Light Organ by Flore Picard
About Flore Picard: I’m a linguist and translator who lives in France and I have been itching to write since I learned how to. I started writing (fan)fiction more regularly when I was procrastinating on my PhD dissertation, and I haven’t looked back since. I’m also an artist who loves drawing both fanart and original art, and I have a passion for patterns and systems, for the beauty at the edge of chaos and the complexity of being human. I tend to write about queer and disabled characters finding themselves and each other and learning to take up space in the world.
Links: Instagram | Twitter
This is Flore’s first publication with Duck Prints Press.
Title: The Light Organ
Tags: angst with a happy ending, capitalism is the real villain, coming out, disabled character, emotional hurt/comfort, family, fraught family dynamics, illusion, in the closet, magic use, mechanic, musician, non-binary, parenthood, present tense, science fiction with magic, teenager, third person limited point of view, transphobia (mentions of) (past)
Excerpt:
“No, no, no—the organ, the light ring—it’s all about the imagination, not the mechanics,” Kas exclaims, gesturing widely to encompass the aether pool behind the glass.
“I’m just here for the tubes,” the tech—Gilbert—says flatly.
His face betrays no emotions, not even annoyance. Kas almost wishes he would yell or be rude, if only for the sake of feeling like they’re having an actual conversation, but Gilbert has always been polite. He just never seems to care.
“Fine,” Kas gives up. “We’ve got glitches. They started about a week ago. It could be a leaking tube, I’m not sure.”
“What kind of glitches?”
“It’s as if… as if the story stops responding to me. I know how that sounds, but I swear that’s what happens. It doesn’t last more than a few seconds, but it’s getting worse. Earlier, I powered everything up to tune it and it kept flickering.”
“Flickering,” Gilbert repeats, mumbling into his neatly trimmed beard.
Kas grabs a cane in each hand and makes their way to the organ’s seat. “I can show you.”

You’re Gonna Get Older by Alec J. Marsh
About Alec J. Marsh: Alec lives in the Pacific Northwest, where they write romantic adult fantasy and self-indulgent fanfiction. They make candles inspired by their favorite characters.

Alec is one of the editors for Aether Beyond the Binary and has also published multiple titles with Duck Prints Press. His novella To Drive the Hundred Miles (modern, f/m, trans male lead) was recently successfully crowdfunded and orders fulfilled. His two erotica stories Heart’s Scaffold (sci-fi, m/m) and Study Hall (modern academia, m/m) are part of the Contributor Short Story Bundle add-on.
Title: You’re Gonna Get Older
Tags: arranged marriage, christian, coming of age, coming out, cults, fraught family dynamics, friends, in the closet, lesbian, midwest, misgendering, non-binary, north dakota, past tense, post-apocalyptic, relationship of convenience, religion, song fic, teenager, third person limited pov, trans man, trans woman, transphobia
Excerpt:
There was a radio in the room, an old two-way they had found on their last visit and hidden in an empty supply closet. It was still there. They slid open the battery pack and snapped in a fresh battery from their aether lantern. Chips of the meteor had been encased in metal tubing to mimic the lithium batteries of the Before, but they were precious and had to be used sparingly. Stardancer knew better than to use precious energy on something this frivolous.
They popped the battery cover in place and pressed the power button. It crackled to life. They cradled it like it was made from glass. The dials made a tak-tak-tak noise as Stardancer scrolled through channels. Music came through softly. It faded in and out, cut through with static, but it was music, and not the kind made on an acoustic guitar. They adjusted the antenna and turned up the volume.
It was like nothing they had heard before, fast paced with a heavy beat. Even over the fuzzy AM connection, it was invigorating. They wanted to dance. They wanted to sing along with words they had never heard before. The singer screamed their triumph, and Stardancer felt invincible.
There's no time like right now to become a backer and help us reach 100% funded! Check it out!

hello jamie! i stumbled upon your blog through the studyblr tag and started fangirling a little because a phd in anything medieval has been a dream of mine for awhile (and seeing that your research is in faerie lit is even cooler, i loved that subtopic in undergrad). i’d love to know more about your journey like how you chose your program or what were the best tactics you used to prepare—but ofc only if you’re comfortable sharing! thanks for reading all this and best wishes - 🥀 anon
Hello! It's lovely to hear from someone who's interested in pursing medieval studies!
(Caveat that my journey is just my own personal experience and that there are many ways to choose and prepare for an academic program) I actually prepared by taking some time away from academia first. I worked for two years as a paralegal while working on my applications for grad school, which helped me to (a) confirm that I wanted to go back to academia instead of entering the corporate world, (b) revise my BA thesis (which was frankly not well-written) into a reasonable writing sample for applications, and (c) digest some of the ideas I'd started thinking about in undergrad but had been way too stressed/sleep-deprived to really delve into. For me, those last two points were linked. One of the main reasons why my BA thesis was so rough was because I hadn't wanted to cut anything out, which meant that there were a lot of tangents that didn't really relate to my central argument. The positive side to this was that, after trimming things down for my writing sample, I was able to take one of those tangents and turn it into a question that I was interested in exploring further and that I could only find limited research on, and that became my statement of purpose.
During this entire process, I also stayed in contact with my undergrad advisor and another professor who knew my work very well. As I was revising and doing additional research for my applications, I made note of the professors who came up in my research regularly and which institutions they were at, and I'd bring the list to my advisor/the other professor, and we'd talk through what programs made sense. I also looked at medieval studies programs for their funding options, affiliations, libraries, and activities such as reading groups and course offerings, and I added or eliminated them from the list based off of that. If I happened to know anyone in those programs (or had a friend of a friend or anything like that), I also reached out to ask questions about what life as a grad student was like there--I honestly had a hard time finding information about, say, sexual harassment and racism, through other means, so talking with people who were current graduate students was extremely helpful. My current program was one that my professor suggested to me during this process, which I'm incredibly grateful for because, out of the programs I got into, it was also the one that offered me the best funding.
This is getting kind of long, but that's a bit of a run-down of my journey in broad strokes! I'd be happy to talk more if there's anything you'd like to hear more about, too!

✶ SECTION I ✶
Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Rae ( formerly known as Swift ). Some of my former blogs include but are not limited to. I work a regular old 8-5 job with a busy season being April - October where I work the occasional Saturday and am also on call. The on call weeks can really slow me down, unfortunately. However, I do the best I can and always keep my queue full and at the ready for those busy times. I do have discord upon request, and love to talk with people although I can be a bit absent minded and sometimes read a response while busy and forget to answer, that’s not me disliking you it’s my bad, bad memory.
Triggers & DNI include but are not limited to eye gore, anyone under 21, clowns, and that’s mostly it. As things come up and everything, I will add here. However, I do have some bad history on tumblr and if you interact with certain people I may be less likely to follow you, nothing against you, it’s just triggering to see certain things, and can really crash my mood. However, I am not going to name names either because it’s not a thing it’s just my own personal comfort. Everyone is free to write with whom they chose and everyone is free to follow who they want to and don’t want to. If you are dealing in a lot of drama or callouts and so forth I will block and/or unfollow purely because I’m so tired of all of that and I don’t want it on my dash.
✶ SECTION II ✶
When it comes to writing I am mutuals only, however, I do allow for some interaction for non mutuals, if you want to like a permanent starter call, or send a meme to see if I missed following you, or that we might be able to write then by all means, but it is never a guarantee.
I write in paragraph, multi paragraph or novella style. I rarely do one liners and if you send me one liners, or so forth and it’s not really going anywhere I will probably drop the thread, I just struggle with that. I am all for threads being dropped and being tagged in random starters to starter again if you don’t feel the thread anymore.
My dms are open for plotting at all times.
I use small/medium gifs and icons I’ve made from previous blogs. I also use the Beta editor.
If you do not specify a muse in a starter call, or permanent starter call and you’re a multi muse blog I will not write you a starter, please make it easier for me and specify otherwise it can be very hard to know where to start and I have a lot of characters and starter calls to go through! I go through it regularly and I make starters as fast as I can. It’s never off limits, but if you don’t specify you’re creating more work for me.
✶ SECTION III ✶
I am all for shipping. I love mains in regards to ships and being able to talk OOC about our ships and being friends with the people that I write romantic stories with. I’m all for multiple threads, interactions, and various in regards to everything.
I write fxf, mxf & mxm. I ship a lot of things, so if you ship it and you want to write it just hit me up and I’ll probably agree and we can plot things, see where it goes. If you’re interested in being a main or an exclusive ( which is reserved for heavy shipping only ) then by all means reach out!

Don’t worry about chemicals, Perfect 10 Skin Tag Remover Reviews does not contain harsh chemicals or fillers that can harm your skin. This is a simple product with great results.
Why Use Perfect 10 Skin Tag Remover?
Natural ingredient: I mentioned above that this product uses only the highest quality herbal ingredients tested under strict quality control. All are safe for topical use. The makers of Perfect 10 Skin Tag Remover have tested their products. None of the study participants suffered from burns or skin damage.
Non-invasive: The only safe way to remove moles and skin tags is through surgery. And you know surgery is expensive. Just use it twice a day without any hassle and get rid of all unwanted moles and blemishes.
Proven results: The main reason for writing this review is the strong results. I tried the product and it really worked for me. It was recommended to me on Facebook. Although I was skeptical at first, I gave it a try and I can tell you that I absolutely love this tag remover.
Easy to use: It only takes two to three minutes to apply Perfect 10 Mole Remover on your skin. It’s very easy and saves a lot of time and money. Just wash the skin and dry it with a towel. Who can use it?
Anyone can use the product. There are no restrictions on the use of the product. Additionally, the manufacturer expressly indicates that it should not be used by persons under the age of 18. Anyone with a skin condition using prescription lotion. Do not mix the product with other products and you will be fine.
DOES IT WORK AND HOW DO I USE Perfect 10 Skin Scar Remover?
These four simple steps are part of the deployment and operation of this product.
Step 1: Apply Perfect 10 label on the mole/wart. When you apply this serum, the powerful ingredients send a signal to the white blood cells, which start the burning process and then the product’s healing process.
Step 2: Inflamed areas: Don’t worry, this is a natural reaction from this product. When white blood cells send signals to our body about a foreign object, it causes a local allergic reaction. You will see a small crust appear in the area. Do nothing, let the scab heal without intervention.
Step 3: Treatment Begins After scabs and inflammation, our skin gradually heals. Nothing to do here either. Let the scab dry and the skin heal. Don’t pick at the scab, let it fall off naturally to avoid staining.
Step 4: Skin Healed and After / Day / War Gone: The last phase is simply enjoying new smooth skin that looks flawless. The end result will bring smiles and positivity into your life. It will provide you with the confidence boost you never realised you needed.
Perfect 10 ingredients to remove skin scars
Sanguinaria canadensis: Sanguinaria canadensis is a species of perennial herb found in eastern North America. Known as tormentil because of the reddish-orange sap in the roots and stems.
Bloodroot has long been used in traditional medicine by indigenous peoples and was later adopted by European settlers. It contains several alkaloids, including sanguinarine, which has been shown to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Today, bloodroot is mainly used in homeopathic medicine and herbal supplements. However, it must be used with caution as it can be toxic if ingested in large quantities. In addition, its use is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in people with liver or kidney disease. It is always best to consult a qualified doctor before using any herbal remedy.
Zinc muriaticum: Zincum muriaticum is a homeopathic remedy made from zinc chloride, a white crystalline substance that dissolves easily in water. It is used in homeopathy to treat various conditions including anxiety, depression, nervous system disorders and skin conditions.
According to homoeopathic theory, zinc muriaticum works by promoting the body’s natural healing mechanisms, albeit there is little empirical evidence to back this claim.
Zincum muriaticum is available in a variety of potencies, and the correct potency and dosage will depend on an individual’s specific symptoms and general health. As with all homeopathic remedies, it is important to consult a qualified homeopath or healthcare professional before using zincum muriaticum, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or have any underlying health conditions.

What are Perfect 10 Skin Tag Remover’s Side Effects?
I didn’t experience any side effects. I will tell you that many women say skin inflammation is a side effect. But as you can read in the piece Perfect 10 Skin Tag, we know that inflammation is a natural process for getting rid of pimples and moles.
You don’t have to worry about the natural effects of the product. To avoid unpleasant side effects, I recommend applying an antiseptic lotion to birthmarks and warts after using the blemish remover serum.
Does Perfect 10 Skin Tag Removal really work?
Yes, I am living proof that this product is effective. As a woman who has wasted money on worthless scar removers, I understand where you are coming from. It’s disappointing when a product fails and it’s sad when you waste your money on a useless product.
Perfect 10 Skin Tag Remover Cream has really worked wonders on my moles and I know many other women who have benefited from this product. I recommend this product.I ordered the five-bottle pack, but you can also just order one bottle and test and try it for yourself.
How long should Perfect 10 Skin Tag Remover be used for?
This depends on the size of the mole, mark, or wart on the skin. Smaller warts take less time compared to large ones.
My little need was gone after 23 days of regular use. I was released on the 24th and I can’t tell you how happy I am. So there isn’t much to be concerned about.
If you really want to get effective results, you just need to use it regularly.

BE CAREFUL!! Perfect 10 Skin Tag Remover Scam

Pipe Fittings And The Area Of Pipe To Easily Use In Ponds
Before soldering copper tubing, clean the ends always be joined. Use sandpaper, steel wool, or wire blow. Then with your finger or with your old toothbrush apply flux into the surfaces being joined. Make use of a light coat, but cover the area completely. Many customers tend try using a thinner wall for their projects limit material price tags. However, thinner wall tubing will need more labor to extend.(as in what is emt tubing isn't able to grasp the roundness of the tube as it is often bent and result in ripples or wrinkling within bend). In some cases the additional labor costs outweigh the insulation savings therefore it may or isn't beneficial to utilize a thinner wall material. Another likely cause towards the foundation settlement may really do the water supply line. Earlier buildings used galvanized steel pipe to connect from metropolis main, towards the building. Factor about steel is it doesn't matter what, it is going to corrode and commence leaking. The pipe get thousands of pinholes and small cracks, and still function just great. The problem is that cash water can be escaping beneath front yard and it can go un-detected until it eventually bursts and helps to create a big mess. Some folks use almost nothing except rope lights to create their holiday light indicates. They do not come within infinite associated with colors, a person can usually find them in red, gold and white. From time to time you can discover rope lights that are clear, along with the give out a associated with light. They usually come along with special little round plastic cup hook like hangers that are able to pop the tube regularly into. The lights inside shine through the plastic tube within a remarkably translucent way and give your entire home a soft kind of glow. Unusual thing is always that even although the lights continue to be on the mellow side, because they have to shine through plastic tube, they still manage to throw off plenty of light. Last spring I never put my rolling greenhouse out because I to be able to paint the deck first and that is where I usually put of which. However, it rained so often all spring; I really could get the deck painted until summer, far too late for the greenhouse. Later I saw that the greenhouse could go many as well as. What is your writing advice for young people who want to write fanfiction and original stories in the near future?
If this is just Way Too Much, skip to the end (#16). My most important piece of advice is there. I also happen to think #5 is pretty good.
-_-_-_-
1) Literally just write. Write whatever you want, and do a lot of it.
_-_
2) You don’t have to post everything. In fact you don’t have to post anything. You can, don’t get me wrong, but it can be intimidating to sit down and think “I will now write something that other people will see and read and judge with their eyeballs.” Because that’s probably gonna lead to nerves and writer's block. Just write down the ideas that you have, the things you want to write, whatever’s in your brain that you want to explore and expand upon and make into something. And then if you want to, share it. Or don’t share it. I have plenty of half-baked ideas and documents and random story chapters and shit hidden away on my Google Drive that will never see the light of day, for a whole number of reasons. I wanted to write it but it wasn’t ~Spicy~ enough to warrant posting, or it’s only like an eighth of a good idea, or it’s like one scene with no story around it, or it’s just something incredibly self-indulgent I just wanted to write for my own enjoyment.
Point being, don’t write for other people. Don’t write so that other people can read it; write what you want, write for yourself, and then if you want to share it, do.
_-_
3) You can pretty much ignore any and all of these for fanfiction. In fact, you can ignore pretty much any rules or guidelines you want for fanfiction. Fanfic is a sandbox. You don’t have to be a “professional writer” to post fic. No one expects you to be Stephen King or Margaret Atwood. Fanfic is just for playing in a fandom and having fun. If you wanna write a 50 chapter slow burn with very little plot aside from the OTP slowly getting to know each other, and no real stakes or central conflict, I guarantee people would read that. Really, fanfiction is the Old West of writing: lawless, wild, unpredictable, and free.
However, here are the rules you must follow:
-Separate your paragraphs. (I’m sure you know this already, but I’m gonna say it anyway just in case.) Do not post one big block of text. Make a paragraph break when someone new is talking, when the characters are in a new place, when a new event occurs that changes the scene, when a chunk of time has passed, and when there’s a major change in subject.
-I know it’s obvious, but... grammar, punctuation, and capitalization. They exist to make writing easy for readers to read, and more people will read your stuff if they don’t have to stop and try to figure out what you meant.
-Use tags and labels, as is possible with whatever site you’re using. Especially if you include possibly triggering content in your story. Again, I know it’s obvious, but it’s common courtesy. Bonus: tagging the themes and content of your story helps readers find it and read it :)
-If possible, limit the use of all-caps and exclamation marks / question marks. 99% of the time, one ! or one ? will do. If you overload the page with a lot of all-caps and long rows of exclamation marks or question marks, it hampers readability.
... That’s literally all I can think of. And, like I said, it’s all pretty basic stuff. You were probably rolling your eyes like, “Uh, yeah, Gwen, I know.” But that’s literally it. You can pretty much do whatever you want in fanfic.
That being said, here’s my advice for both fanfiction and original work...
_-_
4) A quick and dirty rule for coming up with a plot, starting a story, keeping up pacing, or maintaining tension: figure out what dreams, desires, and goals are nearest and dearest to your main character’s heart (see #16). Then set up the main conflict to be directly in opposition to that goal. It doesn’t have to be in a tangible way, though it could be. But, if your main character wants more than anything to reach the ships on the southern coast of your world and sail to a new life, make sure the main conflict immediately prevents them from doing that - in fact, make sure to send them north. If your main character just wants to keep their loved ones safe, kidnap the loved ones. If your main character just wants to date their best-friend-turned-crush, make sure they think they have no chance - or, make them cocky about it, and make sure it makes Person B determined not to ever like them. You get it. Figure out what your character most wants, and then keep them from having that. Boom - your conflict now ties in with your character's motivation. It's like instant yeast for plots.
_-_
5) If you’re anything like me, you want your first draft to be Good, despite all that advice about how the first draft doesn’t have to be good and it’s just to get words on the page, yadda yadda. And if you’re somewhat of a perfectionist (like myself), it’s easy to get stuck looking at a blank page because you don’t have The Perfect Words, and you want what you write to be Good the first time.
Here’s how I cheat that:
Instead of trying to write a Good First Draft from a blank page, hit the enter key a few times, skip a little down on the page, change your ink to red (or blue, or whatever - just something immediately identifiable as Not Black) and just thought vomit. Write whatever the hell you’re thinking, exactly as you think it. Don’t worry about it being readable, don’t worry about narrative flow for now, don’t worry about covering all the details, don’t worry about anything except either a) getting all the details of your idea out onto the page, whether that’s a lot or whether it’s just a sentence or two, or b) if you don’t have an idea yet, finding your way there.
Because this method is also very good for finding your way to ideas when you’re stuck in writer’s block.
Because of how human brains work, getting this stuff out onto the page - in all its messy, stream-of-consciousness glory - will likely spark more thoughts. As you write your original idea about the scene, it’ll likely spark more ideas. Creation begets creation. If you just start thought-vomiting your ideas onto the page, chances are you’ll think of more things as you go, and you’ll start filling out description or dialogue or tone or action or whatever, and pretty soon the scene starts writing itself.
Not sure where you’re going with the scene or which ideas you wanna use? Use a lot of ambivalent language in your “thought-vomit draft.” My pre-writing notes are chock-full of the words “maybe,” “perhaps,” and the phrases, “At some point...” and “...or something like that.” In this way, I don’t tie myself down to one idea; it’s just an idea, and I’m keeping it on the page in case I use it, but I might chuck it in the trash or change it or whatever.
And then, once your ideas for the scene (or story, or chapter, or whatever) are on the page, then go back to the top and start translating them into a “real” first draft. Use black ink, and start copy-pasting chunks of the thought-vomit up into the top part of the document and translating them into Draft 1. Separate out paragraphs where paragraph breaks should be. Add the correct punctuation and whatnot. Change “describe the lobby here - include potted plants, fancy carpet, blood stain, etc.” into an actual description of the lobby. Flesh it out, or condense, or whatever it needs. And if you’re still stuck, change back to red ink and ramble some more until you find a path that feels right, then plug that in. This keeps you from looking at a blank page, and it allows you to generate a kind of Draft 0.5, somewhere between a plan and a first draft.
You don’t have to use every idea. Like I said, jot down whatever comes to mind, put a “maybe” before or after it, and keep working. If the idea grabs you and you wanna keep expanding on it and exploring it, cool. If you just wanna jot it down so you don’t forget it and then move on, also cool. Red-ink draft / “thought-vomit draft” is your time to jump around in the timeline, add or finesse details at whatever point your brain moves to, etc. Don’t try to do it exactly in story order, because you will get tangential thoughts and ideas, and you will not remember to write them down five pages later when you finally get to taking notes on that scene. Trust me. On that note...
_-_
6) Write everything down the moment you think of it. Seriously.
“I’ll remember it when I get around to writing that scene in a couple days / weeks / months (/years).”
You won’t.
Write it down.
Phone, journal, google docs - hell, my family regularly laughs at me for grabbing a napkin during dinner and scribbling thoughts down alongside pasta sauce stains.
And then, once you have it written down somewhere...
_-_
7) Consolidate your writing ideas in one place.
Maybe this isn’t really your style, and that’s totally chill.
Buuuut, if you’re Type-A like me - or if you tend to be somewhat unorganized and you know you’ll lose track of your writing notes if they’re scattered across multiple notebooks, journals, napkins, phone notes, etc. - having one consolidated document of notes is a life saver. I keep mine on Google Docs so I can access it, add to it, and look through it for inspiration anywhere at any time. When I have one of those Shower Thoughts that I jot down on my phone or on a napkin during dinner, I set myself a reminder on my phone to type it up in my Story Ideas document later.
(Or, if the idea I had was for a story of mine that I’ve already started planning / drafting / whatever, I put it in the document for that story instead of the Big Random Story Ideas doc. You get it.)
_-_
8) Have other ways to collect and save writing ideas, besides just writing stuff down. If you like Pinterest, make pinterest boards of your characters or stories or settings or whatever. If you’re big into playlists, make a playlist for your character / setting / story / etc. Or both. Or something else. I’m not good at drawing, but maybe you are, and maybe you like to draw your ideas. Whatever form it takes, having another way to save ideas and think about your stories is invaluable.
_-_
9) Some writers can just start writing with no idea where the story is going, and they just kind of figure it out as they go. I envy those writers. And I do that sometimes for fanfiction, where the stakes are somewhat lower and the audience is reading more for scene-to-scene enjoyment (and to see their OTP kiss) than for a Driving And Compelling Narrative.
But here’s the thing: especially if you’re just kind of starting out, writing without some sort of plan is really, really hard, and will likely lead you into a slow, meandering narrative that will likely frustrate you.
Even if you think you’re someone that just can’t write with a plan (and again, I have the highest respect for pansters out there - I don’t know how you do it, you crazy bastards, but you keep doing you) - even if you think “I can’t work with plans, they’re too prescriptive, I just want to write and see what happens -”
Try at least making the most skeletal of plans.
Even if you have no clue what 90% of the story is, yet. That’s fine. But you need to have some idea of what you’re building to, even if that’s nothing more specific than a feeling, or a turning point for your character. Even if your entire plan for everything beyond Chapter 1 is, “At some point, Charlie needs to realize that Ed was lying to her.”
This is where those Draft 0.5 notes come in handy. Because, more than likely, working on your current scene that way will spark ideas for later scenes, which you can put down at the bottom of the document and save for when they become relevant. In my experience, the line between planning ahead and making a Draft 0.5 is exceptionally thin. One can quickly turn into the other.
If you’re really, really resistant to the idea of planning ahead, that’s okay. It’s not everybody’s style. But for the love of all that is holy, write down your ideas for future scenes, even if you’re a person that doesn’t like to plan and writes only in story order, because you will not remember that idea once you get to that scene.
_-_
10) You don’t have to write in order.
Here’s the thing: I’m a person that can only do my Draft 1 in story order (meaning, chronological order). I just have to be in that flow; I need to write in story order for me to best channel where the character is at from scene to scene, both narratively and emotionally.
But my Thought Vomit Draft is another thing entirely. By using the brain hack of putting my notes in red (or another color, it doesn’t matter) and going down to the bottom of the document / page and taking notes there, and then integrating them into whatever plan I have, and then translating them into Draft 1 once I get there in the story - by doing that, I can get my good ideas onto the page (and expound upon them and let my muse carry me and ride that momentum while I’m in the moment of inspiration) without writing out of order.
Maybe that’s just me. But if you’re a person who really prefers to write in story order, that could be hugely helpful to you. It is to me.
_-_
11) Emotion and motivation will do more for your story than technicalities of plot.
If your characters really care about something, and their journey through the (shaky or weak) plot is emotionally engaging, it will be a much more compelling story than a story with a “perfect” plot and unrelatable or unmotivated characters.
If your characters care about what they’re doing, and it means something to them, and their goals and actions are driven by dreams or fears or emotions that are integral to who they are, your audience will care too. If you have a perfectly crafted plot that hits all the right beats and has high stakes and fast pacing and drama - but your characters don’t connect with what’s happening in a way that’s deeply meaningful or emotional for them? You’re gonna have a hard time engaging readers.
When in doubt, prioritize character emotion and motivation over plot. Emotion is what drives story.
This power is highly exploitable. (Just look at pulp novels and shitty but entertaining movies.) You can even use it to glaze over plot holes or reinvigorate a limp narrative. Use it that way sparingly, though. It’s a band-aid, not a surgery.
_-_
12) Evil villains are hard to write - mostly because there are very few truly evil people in the world. (There are a few. Billionaires and several big name politicians come to mind.) But by and large, there aren’t that many evil people. There are plenty of bad people, but bad people have some good in them, somewhere in there. Trying to write an evil villain is hard, because they often turn very cartoony.
Here’s a tip: it’s much easier to write antagonists who aren’t evil. Even if they’re bad people. Of course, there’s no reason you can’t write a villain that’s just truly evil - a serial killer, or an abuser, or a billionaire, or someone who legit just wants to hurt people or blow up the earth or stay in control of an oppressed population, or whatever. But chances are, it’s gonna be really hard to make them feel real, and even harder to create a plot around them that doesn’t feel forced or contrived.
Instead, try writing an antagonist / villain whose motivations and goals directly clash with your protagonist’s - but not because they want to take over the world or see people suffer. Write an antagonist who’s chaotic good, but whose perception of the situation is completely opposite from your hero’s. Write an antagonist whose only desire is to save people, and who will do anything to achieve that goal - anything. Write an antagonist who believes in the letter of the law, and will hinder and oppose the hero’s methods even if they agree with the hero’s motivation. Write an antagonist who got in way over their head and did some things they regret, and now they don’t know how to get out, and they’re doing their best but whatever they set in motion is too powerful for them to stop now.
Write villains who are human. Write a killer who thought they were doing the right thing by taking their victim out of the equation, who vomits at the sight of the body and sobs over the grave they dig. Write a government leader who truly believes she’s doing what’s best for her people in the long-term, even if it might hurt them in the short term, and is willing to endure the hatred and belligerence of the masses if it means securing what she thinks is a better future for her people. Write a teenage bully that thinks they’re the one being picked on by the world, and they’re just fighting back, standing their ground. Write a scientist who will break any code of ethics and hurt anyone he needs to - in order to bring back his baby sister from the grave, because he promised her he’d protect her and he failed. Write an antagonist who is selfish and self-centered and capricious - because in order to survive they had to look out for Number One, and that habit ain’t about to break anytime soon.
Write villains who aren’t even villains. Write antagonists who oppose the hero because of moral differences. Write antagonists who are trying to do the right thing. Write antagonists who treat the heroes with kindness and dignity and respect and gentleness.
They don’t have to be good. They don’t have to be Misunderstood Sweethearts who “deserve” a redemption arc. They can be cruel and nasty and dismissive and callous and violent and etc. etc.
Just hesitate before you make them Evil-with-a-capital-E. Because evil is hard to write, and honestly, boring to read. Flawed human beings with goals and motivations that directly oppose the main characters’ are much easier to write and much more interesting to read.
Ask why. Why is your villain trying to take over the world? What does that even mean? Are they trying to create a Star-Trek-like post-capitalism utopia, but they know that won’t happen in a million lifetimes, so they’re trying to do it by force? Are they actually super in favor of human rights, but they got very impatient waiting for the world to do anything about poverty and war, so they decided to take it into their own hands? Are they determined to fix the world - no matter the cost? Are they terrified and overwhelmed, but committed to see it through to the end? Or - maybe they’re just doing it on a dare. Maybe they don’t really give a shit about world domination, they were just a mediocre rich white guy who decided to fuck around and find out, and now he’s kind of curious how far he can take this thing. And now he’s kind of an internationally-wanted criminal, so he’s kind of stuck living on his hidden private island in his multi-billion dollar secret base, strapping lasers to sharks’ heads for the hell of it. Gross, selfish, uncaring, and dangerous? For sure. Evil? Depends on your definition. See, now we’re getting somewhere.
_-_
13) It’s tempting to let the plot control the characters. It’s easy to drop your characters into a situation and see how they react. But here’s the thing: that doesn’t drive plot. In fact, it bogs down pacing. Instead, try to build you plot off of your characters’ actions and decisions. Let your character build their own situation. Not to say it should go they way they wanted it to go; in fact, usually, their grand plans should go to hell very quickly. But having the characters take action and make decisions, and letting the plot develop based on that, is much easier to make compelling than making a rigid series of events and then trying to herd your characters into them.
_-_
14) Having trouble justifying a character’s actions? Consider having them make the opposite decision, or having them approach the situation in a different way. For example: you need your character to go meet the bad guy, for plot reasons, even though there’s no way it’s not a trap. If the character goes, readers are gonna be groaning with their head in their hands, because c’mon man, that was really fucking stupid. But he’s gotta go, because the plot needs that. Two ways you might handle this: a) He knows it’s probably a trap. He decides not to go. The plot conspires to get him near the villain anyway. Or, b) He knows it’s a trap. But he needs to go, for (insert reasons here). So, he approaches it in an unexpected way. He brings backup, recruiting a side character we met earlier in the story. Or he arrives on the back of a dragon, because ain’t nobody gonna fuck with a dude on a dragon. Or he goes - early, and ambushes the villain. It may work, it may not. He may get himself kidnapped anyway. But it moves the plot along without having Stupid Hero Syndrome.
_-_
15) This is a legit piece of advice: if all of this sounds overwhelming, literally just ignore it and write what you want. For real. Writing should be fun, and every single writer operates differently. If you’re sitting here like “I’m getting stressed just reading this,” just flip me a good-natured bird and get on with your life. I promise I won’t take it personally. Same goes for literally any other writing advice you see. Lots of rules and guidelines can very quickly make anything thoroughly un-fun. Just write. If you’re passionate about it and you do it for long enough, you’ll start figuring out the tips and tricks on your own.
_-_
16) Here’s the best piece of advice I can give you: know your characters. More importantly, know what’s important to them. Build their personality and decisions off of that, and build your plot off of their decisions.
I see a lot of character building sheets that ask a shit-ton of questions like “What’s their most prized possession?” “Do they like their family?” “What’s their favorite food?”
And while these are good questions, my problem with this type of character building is that if you start there, with the little stuff, you’re building on nothing. IMO, to make a truly strong character (not strong like Inner Strength, strong like effective), you need a strong foundation.
Here are the things you must know about your character:
a) What are their greatest fears / deepest insecurities? And I don’t mean “wasps” or “heights.” I mean the deep shit. I mean fears like “living a meaningless life,” or “turning out just like their parents,” or “that no one will ever love them,” or “being powerless.” You may say, “But they’re really scared of wasps! They fall into a wasp nest when they were little and got stung so much they almost died!” Great! That’s a fantastic bit of backstory. They should absolutely be afraid of wasps, and that should absolutely be an impediment later in the story. But dig deeper. What about that event actually scarred them? Was it the helplessness? Stumbling around, swatting at the air, not being able to do a single thing to stop what was happening to them? Was it that they were alone, and no matter how loud they screamed, no one was coming? Was it the bodily horror of feeling themself turn into an inhuman creature as they swelled up from the stings, unable to move their fingers or face normally anymore?
And don’t forget insecurities, because those factor in, too. Are they deeply insecure about their identity? Do they believe, deep down, that they’re ugly? Did they grow up poor and they’ve always been really touchy about that? Why? Dig deep. Figure out what really, really bothers them.
b) What are their hopes and dreams? What do they truly want out of life? What do they consider the most valuable to their experience here in this thing called life? Is it the freedom to forge their own path and be independent? Is it the approval of their family or peers? Is it a home? Is it knowledge, or understanding? Spiritual fulfillment? Is it deeply important to them that they contribute to their community, or protect those they love? What do they need in order to feel truly and deeply fulfilled in life?
Figure out those two things (each one encompasses several things, btw, you don’t have to stop at just one for each), and then use that to inform how they behave and the types of decisions they make within the story.
It also informs character behavior and personality.
Let’s say we have a character who’s afraid of helplessness. They’re probably gonna be the person that always wants to do something, try something, no matter how hopeless the situation seems. They’d despise just sitting and waiting, probably, because it makes them feel powerless. They might even be the person that makes rash decisions and acts impulsively and puts themself in danger unnecessarily, because in their mind it’s better than being at the mercy of fate. This is one way you could use a character’s personality to inform their decisions, which in turn helps to inform plot.
Or, let’s say we have a character whose greatest fear is being left behind or forgotten. We may have a chatterbox on our hands. They might be obnoxious. They might love the spotlight, constantly vying for attention no matter the situation, because deep down they’re so afraid that they’d be forgotten otherwise. Or, it may go the opposite way. They may be so afraid of people leaving them that they’re terrified of bothering people. They don’t want to do anything that could annoy people, anything that might give people a reason to leave them. They might be exceedingly polite, quiet, accommodating. A push-over, really.
These are two nearly opposite types of personalities, both stemming from the same core fear/insecurity. You can go a lot of different ways with it. But if you build on that strong foundation, you’ll have a strong character, and a stronger plot.
Likewise, the structure of your story can and should inform the design of these character traits. If you need your characters to team up near the end, it may be impactful if you give your main character a deep fear of commitment, an insecurity about being unwanted or left behind, and make them highly value independence and freedom. That could make their team-up for the final battle very meaningful. Conversely, you can use your character’s deepest fears and desires to help design the plot. Is your character deeply insecure about voicing their opinions or taking a stand, because of trauma they faced in the past? Make them face that. Build that into the climactic third act. Give them the big inspirational speech where they stand up and talk about what they believe to be important, what they think the group should do. And then design that character arc to run through the story, giving you more handholds and stepping stones, more pieces of foundation on which to design the plot.
In this way, character should inform story as much as story informs character. It’s a feedback loop.
Bonus: if you build your character and your plot off of each other in this way, it automatically starts to build in the foundations of that emotional investment I mentioned earlier. If your character’s decisions are based on what they most want and do not want in life, you basically have your character motivation and stakes pre-built.
Note: you need to know these things about your villain, too.
-_-_-
I’m genuinely sorry about the length of this, lmao. But you did ask.
Best of luck!
Edit: I forgot an important one:
17) Start when the scene starts and end when the scene ends.
What do I mean by that?
If your notes say “Danny asks Nicole out after school and majorly flubs it,” start the scene when Danny approaches Nicole after school. Better yet, cold-open the scene on “I was wondering if, you know, you’d wanna. You know. Hang out some time?”
Don’t start that morning when Danny goes to school, unless you’re gonna cover the school day in like one or two sentences. Don’t spend whole paragraphs going through the school day, unless it’s to cover other plot points first (in which case apply these same guidelines there), or if the paragraphs are there for a specific reason, like to illustrate how stressed he is and how it seems like every little thing is going wrong. Even then, trim the fat as much as possible. Expounding and describing everything Moment-to-moment is for the meat of the scenes, not the leading-up-to and coming-away-from.
Here’s my rule of thumb: study how and when movies cut from scene to scene. Movies have exceptionally strict, limited time for storytelling; they’re excellent examples of starting a scene when the plot point starts and ending when it’s over. If you can’t picture a movie showing everything you showed, start the scene later and end it earlier.

Nightmare
Tumblr media
pairing || Bucky Barnes x Reader
summary || Bucky struggles to calm down after a particularly rough nightmare - it’s a good thing you’re there to lend him a hand.
word count || 1,799
warnings || hurt and comfort, love confessions
a/n || So I started writing this before the first episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier even came out (because I’m incorrigible) so if it’s a little off, that’s why. As someone who’s gone through all that fun trauma-based therapy, seeing Bucky working on himself is validating as fuck. I tried to emphasize that while a good relationship can help after trauma, it doesn’t complete the healing process or suddenly make a person whole. Anyway, enjoy!

“Bucky?” Your voice cracked, still thick with sleep. “Why are you on the floor?”
“I…” Bucky started but his words failed him. He couldn’t find a way to tell you about it without feeling like he was gutting himself, without bringing the images right back up to torment him all over again. The vulnerability left him trembling, dog tags clinking quietly against his bare chest with every heaving breath.
But he didn’t need to say it. You just nodded and sat down next to him on the blanket he had spread out on the hard floor. Remnants still prickled at the back of his neck, images and echoes of gunfire and that wide open emptiness that cracked his chest on every mission, but he got some small peace from your presence. He felt just a bit safer at the feeling of your knee pressed to his lightly. You didn’t probe him about it, didn’t try to weasel out details, and he was thankful. Instead you offered him your hand and in turn, offered your quiet support, and he gratefully slid his fingers up your palm to curl with your own.
The pressure of your fingers holding him was grounding, kept him in the reality of what was actually happening around him. He wasn’t in that building. He didn’t have a gun in his hand. He wasn’t trapped behind a wall in his own mind. He was at home, sitting cross-legged on his living room floor. He held your hand in his, the softness of your skin against his a sharp contrast to the imagined bite of gunmetal.
He was right there. So were you.
Your thumb slid up and down over his as you tentatively started speaking. “I used to click my tongue to keep myself grounded after nightmares.”
Bucky glanced at you, eyebrows raised. “Really?”
“Yeah, I know it seems silly, but it worked for me more often than not.” You said with a small chuckle. “Sometimes I would have to tap if the clicking thing wasn’t working. It drove Tony crazy. He always said he could hear it all throughout the compound, but I think he was bullshitting. And if the tapping didn’t work, I would do sprints until my legs couldn’t hold me up anymore.”
Bucky took a long, deep breath the way his therapist taught him during their first session. Your voice was so calming. “Keep talking?”
“Of course.” You murmured. “It’s cheesy as hell, but they do get easier to deal with. The nightmares, I mean. The more you work at it, the less… vivid they are. I still get pretty bad ones every now and then, but even those are a little easier to come down from.”
“I hope you’re right.” He said.
“Well, you’re in therapy - even if it’s mandatory, you’re still showing up. Still putting in the effort. You’re sleeping semi-regularly, eating somewhat healthy. Trust me, you’re doing better than you realize. It takes a minute for you to ease out of survival mode, so it can be hard to tell how far you’ve already come.” You squeezed his hand lightly. “I’m proud of you, Bucky.”
A breath caught in his chest as he turned to look at you where you leaned your head back against the wall. “What did I do to deserve you?”
“Well, you did save me from getting shot that one time.” You teased and Bucky laughed quietly, a genuine one that seemed to surprise you. “But seriously. You’re a good person, that’s all you have to do.”
“No, I’m not.” The laugh turned self-deprecating. “I don’t have to tell you that, either. I know you’ve read the files.”
“That wasn’t you. That was Hydra.” Your free hand pressed against his bare chest, right over his heart. “This is you. You aren’t what they put in your head. You’re the person who went out and bought me a new coffeemaker in the middle of the night when mine broke so I wouldn’t have to go without caffeine the next morning. You’re the person who's mowed Mrs. Franklin’s yard twice a month since her husband passed. You’re the person who is working their ass off to get better.”
There weren’t words. He didn’t have them, the ones that could tell you how much he appreciated you, how much you meant to him. So he covered the hand you placed on his chest with his own, wishing he could actually feel you, but the prosthetic had its limitations with the enhancements given by the vibranium. You nodded at him, a quiet acknowledgement of his thanks.
Silence fell over you both. It was a comfortable one, not the heavy, oppressive silence that curled around him in the moments after waking. Your hand fell away from his chest, much to his disappointment. The skin against skin was comforting. A moment later you shifted onto your knees, ready to stand and seemingly leave him there, and Bucky tightened his grip on your hand instinctually.
“Please… don’t go.” His voice was small.
“I’m just going to get you some water. I’ll be right back, I promise.”
And you did. You returned less than a minute later and handed him a glass of cool water, watching him take a few sips until you were satisfied, and then stole a sip for yourself. Bucky couldn’t help the small smile that found him at the sight as you settled back in next to him and offered him your hand once more. He took it, but didn’t interlock your fingers like before. Instead he lifted your hand to his face and pressed your palm against his cheek, eyes falling closed at your cool skin against his warmth. Your thumb rubbed small circles along his cheekbone and when he opened his eyes again, you were looking at him almost thoughtfully. Impulsively, Bucky tilted his head slightly and kissed the delicate skin of your wrist and he could hear your breath stutter in your chest.
“Bucky…” You whispered, worry suddenly played across your features.
“I talk about you in therapy, you know.” He whispered, his heart jumping in his chest at the prospect of telling you about it, admitting his vulnerability. “I told her about how you make me feel… seen. And safe. I told her about how I always think about you. About… kissing you. And making you laugh.”
You swallowed, the sound louder in the resounding silence of three a.m confessions. “And what did she say?”
“That she could tell I was in love with you before I would even admit it to myself.” He whispered the words as if breathing them to life would make the very earth crumble at his feet.
“I couldn't live with myself if I got in the way of your healing.” You said and his heart soared in his chest. You weren't rejecting him, weren't pulling away in disgust or fear. No, you were putting his needs first - or rather, what you perceived his needs to be.
“Part of my healing is supposed to be building relationships, you know.” There was a small smile on his face at the very thought of it - of falling asleep and waking next to you each morning, of finally getting to kiss and touch you like he craved for so long.
“So… we take it slow?” You said and Bucky watched your eyes flick down to his lips before meeting his gaze again, your body leaning closer as if drawn in by the very gravity that held you to the earth.
“Yeah, we take…” Bucky leaned in, meeting you halfway, your lips a hairsbreadth apart. “...it…” You brushed your nose against his gently and he sighed contentedly, eyes finally falling closed. “...slow…”
The first press of your lips to his was soft. It was something he hadn’t felt in a long time, the simple pleasure of a kiss, and the fact that it was you only made it all the better. He relaxed against you, pulling you closer by a hand on your waist and angling himself to deepen the kiss. Your gasp against his lips was addictive, something he could happily spend the rest of his life seeking out.
A shudder ran down Bucky’s spine at the feeling of your hand sliding up from his cheek to tangle in his hair, the short cropped style barely enough for you to grab onto. Fuck, you felt so good, he could lose himself in you without regret, could drown in the bliss that washed over him and -
He pulled away gently, offering one last peck against your lips as a parting gift, and pressed his forehead to yours to catch his breath, to calm himself down. He had to go slow and going slow decidedly was not dragging you onto his living room floor and finally letting his hands roam underneath your soft pajamas. You chuckled quietly and that was what got him to lean back and look at you again, dumbstruck by the dazed, happy look on your face.
“You’re good at that,” You whispered, earning you a bashful laugh.
“So are you.” Bucky sighed, the heavy weight of sleepiness gathering at his shoulders. “I need to try to go back to sleep… join me?”
“I think this floor would kill my back, sweetheart.” You teased and holy shit, his heart soared in his chest.
Sweetheart. He was your sweetheart.
“I was thinking we could share my bed, but if you’re gonna tease me -”
“Don’t even finish that sentence, Barnes.” You surprised him with another kiss before climbing to your feet, your hand reaching out to pull him up with you.
He couldn’t help but feel amazed at the sight of you climbing into his bed, settling right into his rumpled sheets and looking up at him expectantly. He wasn’t going to leave you waiting, not when he finally got you right where he wanted you. You yawned as you brought him closer to lay his head against your chest and he melted right into you. Bucky curled his arm around your middle, effectively bringing your bodies completely flush against each other.
“You’re so warm, Buck.” You mumbled, sleepiness already warping your voice.
Bucky just hummed, his own exhaustion finally seeping back into his body now that the remnants of paranoid tension eased away at the steady sound of your heartbeat reverberating against his ear. Your hand rested against the top of his head to tease at his hair once more, and it was that gentle affection that had his eyes falling closed. At peace for the moment, his mind let him fall back into sleep, knowing that when the nightmares inevitably found him once more, he would have you there to help guide him back to where he belonged.
Right in your arms.

Note
hii, so i recently joined tumbler from pinterest and i don't really know how is this website supposed to be used... could u help me with that?
sure! it depends on what you like. i'd suggest following tumblr's official @tips blog, they have a lot there! but here's some basic things i've learned along the way:
determine what kind of blogger you want to be. personally i'm just here to see shit i like, i have 1 big blog that is a mix of all my shit and i don't give a fuck if its mixed around. some people aren't like me, and they like to organize by topic. they have a main blog and side blogs for different topics. it's up to you! there's no right way to do it.
either thing you decide to do, tag your posts to help with categorization. i don't do this bc i am lazy and i don't care. but if you're making sideblogs, or just want to find people and get followers, just tag the things you post and reblog with the topic (if it's a moon knight post, tag it with moon knight, etc)
as i've said in my big post - this place is for reblogging things! reblog is and should be the default action you take. you can never post an original post on here and be totally fine. just be a lurker. but your blog should at least have a profile pic, a banner photo, and something in your bio about yourself (online pseudonym/blog name, maybe pronouns if you feel comfortable?). maybe pick some colors for your blog layout. you can get custom layouts if you want, but the default one is fine too.
when you reblog things, make commentary in the tags! tag it with the relevant topics, but in the following tags you can share your little thoughts about it. also for original posts, it helps to have an original post tag so people (or you) know where to find your original posts. for example, i tag all my original posts with kaludiasays. if you go to your blog settings, you can turn on featured tags so those show up when people look things up on your blog.
Tumblr media
5. speaking of the blog settings, turn off sharing your likes and who you are following. that's YOUR business. and people use likes for different things - maybe they like personal posts people make bc its not rebloggable content. maybe they like posts that they've already reblogged to mark it for later. maybe they use their likes to save things. you can use your likes for whatever you want. just know that likes don't really help a post that much, so default to reblogging.
6. create a queue schedule for yourself! so yes there's a post limit on here (most people don't reach it, but i used to regularly), but it's basically to keep your blog active while also not having to be on here all the time. while you can manually schedule a post for later, you can set up a queue so that you can add things to the queue and they'll publish at a regular cadence. some people even have an automatic queue tag. it can be whatever you want. instead of reblogging posts, then you can just add them to your queue.
Tumblr media
7. There's DMs (messages) and also "Asks" here. you can change your settings to determine who can DM you, and who can send Asks. Anonymous people can send asks, too. You can turn these on and off as you're comfortable. Never click on a link in a DM or ask from someone you don't know (or someone you DO know but that looks sketchy). You can also get blog submissions - I have this off, but people use it for various things.
8. In that same vein - be liberal with the block button. Get a weird DM? An ask, even an anonymous one you don't like? Don't answer. Just block (and report if needed, and yes you can block an anonymous sender, too). Nobody will care. Curate your space. It's always better to just block or delete something then get into a fight (I've learned this the hard way). And if you're in certain fandoms, yes people will send you weird shit to bait you. It is definitely bait. Don't take it.
9. Follow shit. Follow a LOT of shit. Follow any blog you see posting something cool or funny (especially artists or gif makers). Follow the tags for ships and shows and other stuff you like. Follow LOTS of them. This is advice I often give for ANY social media site - the more people you follow, the less bullshit you see on your feed (unless you're following all people who post about one thing, please don't do that). It's a moving river, you're not stuck in an echo chamber, and you can just jump in, have your fun, and jump out. Curate your space, and you'll care less. But in that same vein, like I said about the block button, be liberal with the UNFOLLOW. They post something weird? Or just something you do not give a fuck about and too much of it? Unfollow. Nobody cares. Unless it's like a close personal friend you know IRL or something.
10. Go to your account settings and set up your filtered tags, or blacklist. This can be personal triggers, shit you just don't wanna see, anything NSFW that you're fine with but might want to not autoplay on your screen in case you're not in the most appropriate environment, ships you hate, whatever. It'll basically put a warning cover over the post if it comes across your feed, and you can choose whether you want to view it or not. This is why tagging posts correctly and not censoring words especially for triggers is helpful.
11. Mess with your dashboard however you want! Most people here have "Best Stuff First" turned off, nobody wants that algorithm shit. But on mobile they have the two columns, "Following" and "For You" anyway. Definitely make sure at least "include followed tag posts" is on.
Tumblr media
Ok there's a lot more things I'm forgetting but, I think this should get you started! The official tips blog has more detailed explanations you should check out. remember to just reblog things, don't feel pressured by anything, and poke around tags to find stuff!

       Updated as of 25/07/23
✨️ MAINS
They get highest priority for replies, plotting and romantic shipping. They know who they are.
✨️  IMPORTANT STUFF
I strictly ship with chemistry, which extends to muns also. We must have actively written together and communicated for at least a couple of months, and our muses must have interacted for a couple of threads before I’d even consider it. That said, shipping isn't my primary goal. If I don't vibe, I don't vibe. That's it.
I will no longer write starters for new mutuals due to numerous negative experiences in the past. You’re free to interact via memes, or go ahead and write the first starter if you wish.
I'm slow activity, not often on the dash, and have frequent migraines, hence the queue and my being extremely selective. I organise the queue as fairly as possible considering the number of interactions I have going with multiple muses.
If you refuse to interact with any OCs as a general rule on your blog, I won’t interact with you.
OCs are always welcome here. However, if you specifically want to write your OCs with my canon muses but don’t interact with any of my OCs over on @uselessdevice, threads with your OC will be lowest on my list of priorities. As harsh as that sounds, I’m not willing to be treated like a canon vending machine.
All potentially triggering content is tagged under what's in the box, including but not limited to: suggestive or nsfw threads, violence, abuse mentions, cannibalism, murder and blood drinking. Please ask for specific trigger tags if needed.
Please like and reblog memes and aesthetic posts from the source, especially if you're not sending any memes.
When I follow back, I’ll reach out to say hi and ask which muses you’re interested in. If you don’t respond within a week, I’ll soft block. While I don’t expect anyone to be permanently available, it’s a very simple and important question. If you don’t bother to answer, especially if you’re very active on the dash otherwise, it tells me that I’ll always be chasing you for the simplest of responses and that’s a hard no from me.
✨️ THINGS I DO
I write multiple villains and muses who do bad things. I won’t restrict them for your comfort and if your muse fucks around by antagonizing them, they’ll find out. So just be mindful.
I write in multi para / novella style and don’t enjoy one liner threads.
Threads with priority muses / verses will be my main focus. See the pinned post.
If I no longer vibe with your blog or we never interact, I'll soft block. I tidy my following list regularly. Feel free to do the same, but if you don't want to interact anymore, please soft or hard block me.
Plotted threads, especially with mains, will be prioritized. Small talk threads with no direction will be dropped as and when needed. If you generally reply super fast, I'll probably limit how many active threads we have at one time.
I match the energy I receive. If I’m ignored multiple times after reaching out for interaction, I’ll move on. Same if there’s a lack of equal energy in plotting or moving threads forward.
✨️ BLOGS AND TENDENCIES I AVOID ON SIGHT
If I see this on your blog, I will instantly soft block out of personal preference.
No rules, biographies or info. Heavy emphasis on smut, particularly GIFs, untagged or not under a read more. Chronic blog hoppers. Anyone with a DNI or any kind of drama or negativity on their blog. Excessive OOC posts that clog the dash. Blatant vague posting or guilt tripping. No actual writing on your blog. Back and forth one liner threads that clog the dash. People who beg for interactions constantly but never answer what they have.
If I'm not interested in writing with you after checking out your rules, biographies and writing style, I'll soft block (unless you state that you prefer to be hard blocked in your own rules). If you repeatedly refollow I'll hard block anyway.
If you read everything, thank you.

Sorry to just jump in here and drop this on you, but i saw a blog once call percabeth an abusive relationship???? and i was like ?????? but none of my friends read pjo so i cant ask them for thoughts, how about you?
Oh boy anon so this is a thing.
Percabeth is abusive is a common thing those that hate percabeth or ship something else and want to validate it say, and why I have the “anti-percabeth” tag blocked.
I’ve seen people say Annabeth just giving him a dirty look was abuse, people will reach for anything done between them that isn’t perfect, usually to justify why their ship is better.
Honestly, I’m open to most ships. Percabeth is my main but if you ship things that’s totally fine, even if I don’t like it I won’t say you shouldn’t ship it. I read non-Percabeth ships, but a lot of people feel a strong need to insist a ship is abusive if they don’t like it.
It’s fine to just not like a ship.
First off lets preface all of this with a warning that I’ll be discussing abuse here so if that’s upsetting skip it.
It got long, like very long (word count is nearly 3k), so it’s all under the Read More, there’s a TLDR at the very bottom.
Now then, what is abuse?
There are two definitions that pop up with a quick google search
Use (something) to bad effect or for a bad purpose; misuse.
Treat (a person or an animal) with cruelty or violence, especially regularly or repeatedly.
If you look up the legal definition (law.cornell) used to define abuse there are more options, but I’m leaving out 2, 3, and 4 cause 3 and 4 def have nothing to do with this and definition 2 is in regards to child abuse.
Abuse, generally: physically, sexually, or mentally injuring a person.
Now if we want to go deeper in lets define physical and mental abuse. I’ll be leaving out sexual as that has no bearing on this particular situation.
Physical abuse is defined by healthyplace.com as
Non-accidental use of force that results in bodily injury, pain, or impairment. This includes, but is not limited to, being slapped, burned, cut, bruised or improperly physically restrained.
Now lets expand on this.
Something that is pointed to specifically is the mentioned intent. “Non-accidental”. It must be purposeful harm.
Now, I will also point out that Physical abuse doesn’t necessarily say the intent needs to be abuse, but as my lawyer parents state it simply needs to be “intent to harm” and it gets labeled abuse. The legal definition (given above) agrees, it is simply that it needs to be purposeful harm. But then we need to define this harm, especially the bodily injury, pain, or impairment.
Bodily injury is defined by Merriam Webster as
any damage to a person's physical condition including pain or illness
Now what is damage?
loss or harm resulting from injury to person, property, or reputation
So then harm is defined as... damage, so the definition I prescribe to (and I asked my lawyer parents to confirm, unfortunately I have no link for that).
Causes pain (pain defined as suffering)
Pain is defined by Merriam Webster as
a localized or generalized unpleasant bodily sensation or complex of sensations that causes mild to severe physical discomfort and emotional distress and typically results from bodily disorder (such as injury or disease)
a basic bodily sensation that is induced by a noxious stimulus, is received by naked nerve endings, is associated with actual or potential tissue damage, is characterized by physical discomfort (such as pricking, throbbing, or aching), and typically leads to evasive action
mental or emotional distress or suffering
Finally impairment is
diminishment or loss of function or ability
(all of the above definitions except harm are pulled from Merriam Webster linked with Bodily Injury)
Okay, so now lets consider it, physical abuse needs to cause damage to someone, it must be purposeful damage though the intent to abuse does not necessarily need to be the intent. So if your actions do not intend physical harm then it is not physical abuse.
So then, do Percy and Annabeth have a physically abusive relationship?
Lets start with the classic one that everyone likes to bring up, the Judo Flip.
First off, do Judo Flips hurt? [sourcing (1) (2) (3)]
They CAN hurt if done with that intent, but if your intent is to not harm and you are trained properly, No Judo should not hurt. Anyone properly trained in Judo should know how to prevent harm. (1, 2)
On top of that, the first thing anyone learning Judo is taught is how to fall.
All judoka learn to fall safely, by rolling and breaking their fall with Ukemi. This breakfall absorbs the impact of the throw. (3)
Percy should have the basics of this down seeing how he was already in matches (mentioned in book one prior him being claimed) in his first summer at camp, after four years he’s definitely got the basics down.
Therefore, the Judo flip did not intend to cause harm, nor did it appear to. Despite that it was on stone, and Annabeth had him pinned, Percy didn’t even show discomfort. He laughed.
On top of that, when Annabeth last saw Percy he had the Curse of Achilles. As far as she was aware, he still had it. A requirement of Physical Abuse is the intent to cause harm, every factor here shows that there was no intent to cause harm.
This scene was not physical abuse, it was just bad writing.
I can think of other scenes, only a few, before they were actually in a relationship. In book three Annabeth punched Percy in the stomach when he didn’t catch her hint that he should ask her to dance
She punched me in the gut. ‘Me, Seaweed Brain.’
‘Oh. Oh, right.’ (TTC, chapter 1, page 8 of book on my copy)
There doesn’t seem to have been any harm done as he doesn’t even mention it hurting, not even a pause, just went “oh yeah her”. So it was likely a light punch, the kind friends do that don’t hurt just catch attention. Annabeth has been trained since she was 7, she should know how to throw a punch without actually causing harm.
If anyone wants to bring up other examples, feel free, I’m not combing the books right now for examples but I will reply to them (preferably in asks so this post doesn’t get super long...)
I cannot think of any examples of Percy hitting/punching Annabeth nor any other kind of physical interaction, if someone wishes to bring one of those up feel free.
Does this mean that I think they should be hitting each other despite the fact that it’s clear there is no intent to harm?
No, I don’t really think they should be hitting each other.
But! An important thing there is their own boundaries, not mine. I would not be up for being hit but I do share friendly punches with my friends, which is similar in intent. It’s simply that they’ve been trained to fight and have to a lot to survive so their boundaries for what is “harmful” are different.
But that’s a whole different issue and a different academic essay :)
I don’t believe there is any physical abuse in Percabeth.
Moving on, Emotional abuse (which Psychological and Verbal added as they all connect).
Emotional abuse is defined by helathyplace.com as
Any act including confinement, isolation, verbal assault, humiliation, intimidation, infantilization, or any other treatment which may diminish the sense of identity, dignity, and self-worth.
It also covers Psychological abuse and verbal abuse. Psychological abuse does not have a definition available on the site I’m using but it does have a description. If you’d like to read the description go (here). I will add a detail of how it works though
Psychological abuse signs and symptoms may start small at first as the abuser "tests the waters" to see what the other person will accept, but before long the psychological abuse builds into something that can be frightening and threatening.
Verbal abuse definition defined by healthyplace.com is
Any language or behavior that seeks to coerce its victim to doubt their perceptions or their abilities and subjugate themselves to the abuser.
So considering that, we note another important factor here, they also have intent involved. “Test the waters” and “seek to coerce” for Psychological and Verbal abuse.
Emotional abuse is different in that it does not specify intent, except every item mentioned is purposeful. If you’re confining someone then you’re doing that on purpose, you cannot easily accidentally do most of that. Those actions carry intent, even if the intent is not abuse.
Now then, is percabeth emotionally abusive?
Once again I’ll start with the big thing people point out, the Judo Flip.
I’ve seen it point out that it could be seen as humiliation.
Annabeth grabbed his wrist and flipped him over her shoulder. He slammed into the stone pavement. Romans cried out. Some surged forward, but Reyna shouted, “Hold! Stand down!”
Annabeth put her knee on Percy’s chest. She pushed her forearm against his throat. She didn’t care what the Romans thought. A white-hot lump of anger expanded in her chest—a tumor of worry and bitterness that she’d been carrying around since last autumn.
“If you ever leave me again,” she said, her eyes stinging, “I swear to all the gods—”
Percy had the nerve to laugh. Suddenly the lump of heated emotions melted inside Annabeth.
“Consider me warned,” Percy said. “I missed you, too.” (MOA, chapter 2, page 19 of my copy)
If you look at the scene itself you’ll see that Annabeth is very emotional right then, she just got her boyfriend back, she’s exhausted from months of worrying, she’s emotionally very strained, and she judo flips him as all her pain just fills her.
A lot of people with anxiety or high stress or similar issues have times when the anxiety doesn’t affect them during the time they’re stressed, but right after the stressors are gone.
It’s clear that’s what happened here, all her feelings that she’d been burying to work just filled her.
And Percy smiles up at her and says he missed her.
It’s clear from her own comment that she didn’t care what the Romans thought (said right after they almost attacked her) that her thoughts were not on how this looked for Percy, but for her. She knew it looked bad for her to attack him.
She wasn’t trying to embarrass or humiliate Percy, she was trying to get all that pain and stress and anger out. I don’t like how it was done, but it did not physically harm him (nor did she expect it to) and it clearly did not humiliate him.
He smiled and said he missed her.
He understood what she was going through, and made it clear he loved her.
I still think it was bad writing, but it’s not humiliation, nor is it emotional abuse.
Another thing I’ve seen pointed out is Annabeth’s nickname for Percy.
Seaweed Brain.
I will start this with a reminder that both of their nicknames for each other were originally meant as insults.
Wise Girl was first used by Clarisse and it clearly upset Annabeth, it is used twice by Clarisse actually.
Once in TLT, when she and Percy first meet, and once in SOM when they’re attacking Charybdis.
Percy in comparison uses Wise Girl twice as well, both in TLT, once when he was mocking her at her coming along on the quest and once when they were saying goodbye. It’s also used once in HOO, in BOO.
Honestly it’s not much a nickname... only used by Percy 3 times in all the (main) books. There are like 3 other cases in all the side stories and MCGA combined.
Annabeth uses seaweed brain a total of 41 times in all the books combined, in PJO it’s used 25 times, 22 by Annabeth, and HOO it’s used outloud 9 times, all by Annabeth. On top of this, while the PJO cases were all outloud, the HOO cases were not, with 2 (making the total 11) used only in Annabeth’s thoughts.
Seaweed brain is used in TLT 6 times, 5 times by Annabeth.
The first time is when Annabeth is joining the quest, then when he says things are going fine so far when they start the quest, then when at the Ride of Love, then when Annabeth calls him her friend, then when they’re saying goodbye.
If you watch the progression of it it’s the same as with Wise Girl, though used more often. It starts as an insult, and then becomes fond and a term for her friend by the end of it.
I don’t particularly want to label every single instance, but a quick overview of all the PJO books is that it’s used by Annabeth in annoyance a total of 4 times, in fondness/exasperation/worry 18 times. Those times of annoyance were all in books 1 and 2, the time of exasperation (1 of the 18) was in book 2.
The vast majority were done out of worry, and the rest when she was being soft.
It’s not meant to diminish his intelligence, nor is intended as an insult beyond book 1 and 1 instance of book 2. It is rarely used because he’s being ignorant either. You can make an argument for the first case in book 3 being done because he wasn’t catching her hint to dance and thus was mocking his inability to catch a hint, but it was mixed with fondness from my read.
Overall the nickname is not intended as an insult anymore, it has become a friendly name for Percy that shows how fond Annabeth is of him. She does not have nicknames for anyone else.
In HOO all the cases were relatively fond, with one that she didn’t say outloud being used when she was cheering Hazel up by telling stories about Percy (ah the benefits of long time friendships, you get to tell all the good stories).
In the end I think that it’s cute that they have a nickname for each other, and though there could be more flattering ones, the intent that Percy understands from it and the intent Annabeth uses it with clearly show that it is meant in fondness and was a gradual change from a name that was meant to poke at him. It’s meaning is is fond and loving and it was only used 3 times prior with any other (negative) intent.
Also friends give each other nicknames, and commonly they are meant to be teasing.
There is one other thing I’ve seen brought up, being Annabeth thinking that she needs to keep Percy on his toes (specifically about Rachel in this case) when they’re in Tartarus.
‘Rachel?’ Percy asked. ‘You mean our Rachel? Oracle of Delphi Rachel?’
‘That’s the one.’ Annabeth suppressed a smile.
Whenever she brought up Rachel’s name, Percy got nervous. At one point, Rachel had been interested in dating Percy. That was ancient history. Rachel and Annabeth were good friends now. But Annabeth didn’t mind making Percy a little uneasy. You had to keep your boyfriend on his toes. (HOH, didn’t bother to check chapter number, page 109 of my copy)
So here we see that Annabeth is “keeping him on his toes” but in context, they’re sending a note to Rachel through the Hermes temple in Tartarus. It was not Annabeth bringing it up to mess with him, it was her smiling at the little moment where he was thrown off about Rachel.
Frankly, in general Annabeth doesn’t do anything like that. She occasionally teases Percy but he always teases back. After the Rachel stuff in book 5 things were chill with all of them. We’ve seen no evidence of Percy being uncomfortable with Rachel being brought up, nor Annabeth thinking that it should be brought up for that purpose.
If anything Annabeth has shown some serious abandonment issues in fearing that Percy would leave her over other girls (she needs some therapy after that mess of a childhood but Khiron apparenlty doesn’t think so).
I see this as a case of bad writing with nothing else supporting it, including the scene it happens in.
Even had it actually been something supported by other instances, in the context she says it in it seems more like teasing over an ex where the break was amicable and everyone is still friends, which isn’t abusive or manipulative.
It’s just that Rick is tasteless.
So is Percabeth emotionally/psychologically/verbally abusive? No.
If someone wishes to bring up other instances shoot me an ask.
So in conclusion,
I do not see how it is abusive. There are elements I do not like, and some parts that in my own relationship I wouldn’t be okay with. But in Percy and Annabeth’s relationship they have clear boundaries, they are both more than capable of stopping the other if they do something that upsets them. They have both shown fondness towards the others actions even if it is something that we don’t approve of in our relationships.
If Percy showed upset at her actions that would be different. But we literally see into his mind and he shows no upset at her words or actions. He is fond, he is understanding, and he responds to each instance of teasing with teasing of his own.
Notably I never see people saying Percy is abusive, only Annabeth.
I get a feel that people ask for flawed characters then crucify them if they’re not flawed in easily likeable ways. Annabeth is not a perfect character, I don’t like everything she does, but she is a realistic character and should not be demonized.
TDLR: Annabeth has never purposefully harmed Percy, and Percy has never purposefully harmed her. Neither have verbally/emotionally/psychological taken actions with the intent of harming the other when in their relationship or since becoming friends. There have been instances of upsetting the other but they talked and it clearly was not meant to hurt the other but because they themselves were hurting
Percabeth is not abusive

Let’s do this.
Hello and welcome to this land, traveler of the web! You put the first step in my territory 🐲
First of all, thank you for having landed on this page. It gets lonely around here...
Who am I? Well, I am an avid reader and writer, and a very poor artist—but if you are curious the blog I put my drawings in is Wakare I also love to chat, so don’t hesitate to ping me or to send me a pm or an ask if you ever feel the need to!
I have... too many fandoms to name, but they’ll probably cycle regularly on this blog, depending on my latest obsession. Star wars is—and I hope will remain—my main fandom. It is the one I mainly write for, and stayed the longest in, at least.
I’m rather dodgy about ships and the such, so most of what I’ll dig will tend to be gen. And, as I am an absolute fan of angst and crack, it will probably follow these tropes as well. 🎶
✯ ✯ ✯ 𓃦 𓅆 𓆩✧𓆪 ꒰ঌ ⚔ ໒꒱ 𓌹ᄋ𓌺 𓅓 𓃥 ✯ ✯ ✯
I never mastered how to navigate tumblr so here is a system of tag I use to class the differents contents I post:
#howl into the night is for any cool sentence or inspirational text or poem that cross my mind. Or any of my drawings. They are also my method to cope when I’m in a mood so they can get very depressive and angsty. Consider yourself warned. (They can be cool too though. Or cute :3)
#Sinvulkt fics is for my fics. I post them on ao3 and use the nice ’share’ button there to post them automatically. It’s handy. 🎶
#to forge a hero is for all my hero forge art. I make sure to emb links so you can have access to the figurine. Hero forge has its limits... but it’s a very cool platform! I post all the art created thanks to it on To Forge a Hero on Ao3.
#fragments of imagination is for the cool, angsty or cracky snippets I find in fics and share here. They are all under the tag #quote in my ao3 bookmarks.
#even stars burn out is for all my star wars related post. Most of them are just fics and hero forge figurines.
#the bat dragon is for all my batman-related posts. Most of them are comic panels as I slowly devore any that comes within reach. As such, there is now a collection of Snyder Scott’s batman new 52 run with that tag in my blog (that run is amazing ☆☆)
#daredragon for daredevil-related posts. Once again, a lot of comic panels :3.
#taaoej for the Jedi rp I recently indulge in. My rp account is @sinvulkt-moeta .

As I am participating in an increasing number of star wars gift exchange lately, here is my letter for any creator who would like to gift me content (or just have fun with the prompts within—as long as you credit correctly for the prompt idea and ping me: bcs I’d be overjoyed to see the result :3).

New Story!
I started writing this fic a long time ago, but never tried posting it. I abandoned it for a while but I am BACK and we are revamping this story and posting it! You can find it here
I already have the first section out, the second one will be out on Saturday.
Preview:
Sakura then hobbled over to her bedroll and flopped down onto her stomach. She stretched out all her limbs as Kakashi dragged his bedroll closer to hers.
Sakura looked up. "What are you doing?" she asked.
"Moving my bedroll closer."
Sakura rolled her eyes. "No, duh. What I meant was why are you moving it closer."
Kakashi sat down right next to where she lay. "I thought that since it was cold out here, we should lay closer together to share body heat."
Also! The second chapter of Alstroemerias will be out tomorrow night!

Alstroemerias Chapter 3!
Find it here!
Yes! I posted the third chapter. I got a little bit more explaining done in it, but it's only half as long as the others. Which is sad. But still!
Preview
"Does it hurt anywhere? I mean, I thought I did a good job healing your leg and your arm shouldn't hurt unless I did it wrong b-"
"I'm fine, Sakura." Itachi whispered, successfully cutting off her worried ranting. Sakura's face morphed into one of relief.
"That's good to hear. I assigned myself to be your personal medic." She paused. "Is it true that you have attempted to escape the hospital before?"
Itachi blanched. "So I was right!" Sakura laughed. "Well, if you try escaping this time, I will personally make sure that you will never try to leave again." She reached her hand up to caress his cheek, as if she had not just threatened him. "The receptionist cornered me earlier."
Thank you all so much for the support I have been getting on my stories. I appreciate it SO much. It means a lot.

Oh wonderful mother of mine as she walks into my room: Are you okay? Why are you crying?
Me, visibly trying to stop the tears: The main character died (after the first main character was proclaimed dead) but he actually didn't so him and his lover can finally be together without any ties to other places or people.
I swear, my mom would probably think I'm insane. Anyways! I just needed to let everybody know of this amazing Naruto fanfiction I just read. For the second time. I swear, I'll probably end up reading it a third time.
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/2430922/1/Loophole is part one.
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/2925965/1/Genshi is part two.
READ.

Hidden in the Mist Chap. 4
Heart-Stopping
I know, it's been forever. And I apologize.. I hope y'all enjoy this sadly too-short chapter.
Preview:
"Are you sure you're ready for that, girl?"
Sakura wanted to shout, 'No, not really.' but what came out was:
"Bring it on."
Zabuza laughed then, a deep, gravelly, kind of laugh, and reached for the sword on his back.
I'm going to die today, in this very spot.
Sakura's thoughts must have showed in her facial expressions, for her opponent was laughing harder.
IMPORTANT!
I have limited access to Tumblr, FF.Net, and AO3. My posting will be even more sporadic. I apologize for this, but there is nothing i can really do. I will do my best to update as regularly as I can.

Alstroemerias
I have made a vow that I will not ramble on this post, so I am getting straight to the point. I have posted my first fanfic! You can find it on fanfiction.net and my username is RusBallerina. https://www.fanfiction.net/u/14820937/
Preview:
"I have wanted to meet you in person for a while now. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Uchiha Itachi."
Where had Sakura heard that first sentence before? Sakura pondered the man's name for a moment. "You're Sasuke-kun's brother, right?" The man nodded politely. "How may I help you Uchiha-san?"
"I came to take you to lunch." Itachi said. His face remained calm and expressionless, meanwhile Sakura was sputtering in confusion.
"Take me to lunch?" she asked incredulously. "For what reason?"
"I would like to get to know you." That phrase again. Where had she heard it before?
It's a really short first chapter, but I have the second one almost finished and it will be posted Wednesday!

An exclusive blend of herbal extracts that can remove moles, warts and blemishes without leaving marks. This easy-to-use product is specially designed to remove birthmarks and warts.
Are you afraid of chemicals?
Although relatively less painful now, the effects of laser surgery remain on the skin for a long time. Perfect 10 Skin Tag Remover is just a topical serum like any other moisturizer.
Put a few drops on your finger and apply gently. Now go and let Perfect 10 Skin Tag Remover solve your problem.
Confidence Boost: I know you will get the same results as I did and I can tell you that you will be just as happy as I am now. This product has relieved my neck pain and I have never felt so beautiful and confident. Trust is a deal maker. If you are naturally confident, great for you. But if you’re anything like me, who can hold onto these things. Then Perfect 10 Skin Blemish Remover is the savior we all need.
Easy on the budget : Compared to surgery, the only other option, Perfect 10 Skin Tag Remover is relatively inexpensive. And you have to consider the result. People spend thousands to enhance their appearance while you have to spend a few dollars to get a similar result.

This revolutionary skin tag remover is so popular that many copies have appeared on the market. They are just trying to trick people into buying inferior fake products. Another reason to buy this product is only the official website.
I will say it again, don’t fall for scams and only buy this product from the official website. Protect yourself from scammers and get the best results.
