I have seen that some voicelines change after you level up the friendship are planing on translating those ?
Hey!
I'm not sure if this if what you meant but if we're generally speaking, we unlock voicelines by leveling-up cards, Episode/Vignette lvl up, groovyfying, and Magic/Spells lvl up. These voicelines are character-specific, but they are the same across all their cards.
Other voicelines are card-specific, and we unlock new ones after Groovification and while using its Duo Magic with the respective support character (Magic/Spell 2, lvl 5 min.) iirc
and about translating voicelines, I don't think so. I never intended for this to become a full-fledged translation blog since I'm not skilled enough to do so. I meant for this to be an art blog primarily, and the short translations and summaries I post occasionally when I have the time are just me being unable to keep spoilers to myself and wanting to scream and cry about the plot with other fans. I'm sorry if I (unintentionally) deceived you into following me because of that 😅
there's a lot of far more capable translators in the community, please refer to the Twisted Wonderland Wiki. Chances are there's already either a translation on the site or a link to it 🌻

My customers been rude as hell today so here is the list of shame. Long post ahead because these shitheads are something else.
Okay only 2 of them were really shit, the rest were just mildly irritating at worst, but still. Annoy me and you go on the list.
For anyone who doesn't know, the current jackpot for the mega millions lotto is over one billion dollars. I work at a gas station. We've been selling a Lot of lotto lately. Earlier, there was a man who wanted to get 2 tickets for it, and said what I heard as "extra on all", which basically means that they want to pay a dollar extra for a multiplier that doubles your payout up to a certain amount. So if you would win $10 on a ticket but you bought the multiplier, congratulations, you actually won $20.
I print out the ticket with the multiplier, he pays for it, and after paying he realizes it's not what he wanted. What he actually said, and I misheard due to background noise, was "extra no". He did Not want the multiplier. Of course my first thought is "why the fuck would you even say that to begin with" because the multiplier is more money. If you do not specify that you want to pay more, we print out the standard $2 ticket by default.
I politely tell this man that I misheard him, and it sounded like he'd said "extra on all", and told him that for future reference, if you don't want to pay extra, you don't have to mention it because we print out the standard tickets by default. And this cunt responds with "Okay, well for future reference just listen to what I say." You dumb fucking bitch I would knock your teeth out if I could get away with that. How fucking dare.
And Then after he leaves, he comes back into the store while I was talking shit about him to the store manager just to shop around for snacks. Was perfectly nice this time around. Cunt. I hope you lose all your money.
Customer number dos that annoyed me: Old couple came in wanting to get lotto too. Old guy goes first, buys 6 of the mega millions, and then his wife comes up and says she wants to get one of the same that he did. So I stop and ask her "one of the mega millions? Or did you want to get 6 like he did?" And she thinks about it before saying "Just one." So I print out one lotto ticket and hand it to her.
She proceeds to tell me "Actually, better do 6 like he did", and I check again to be like "So 6 more, or 6 total?" She wants 6 total. I give her another ticket with 5 draws on it. This equals 6, the number that I asked if she wanted from the very beginning.
I know this one wasn't mean or rude or anything, but it was still annoying. I asked for clarification for a reason, lady. I Gave you your shot and did exactly what you asked for, but it wasn't what you wanted because even You don't know what you want. Ugh. Make up your mind.
Letter C: Mexican guy comes up wanting to buy black and milds (tobacco). If they stop at just saying "black and mild", that means original. If they wanted a specific flavor they would say so.
They come in wood and plastic tip, so I ask "wood or plastic?" and he just says "black and mild" (he knows limited English). I pull out one of each of the original, and he says "casino no". There is a flavor called casino. I put them back and go "Oh, casino?" and show him the casino ones, and he shakes his head and repeats "casino no".
He does Not want casino. He wants original. Which I already showed him, and he turned it down. I bring them back out and he points to the wood one, then apologizes by saying "No speak English well".
Look. I get not knowing much of a language. But this is different. I literally showed you exactly what you wanted to begin with, and you said no, named another flavor you didn't want despite me never mentioning it, and only said yes to buying when I brought out the original product a second time. Dude just had to point to what he wanted when I showed it to him the first time. You're making this difficult for both of us, man.
4th. Was doing my cashier thing, take someone on the left side, get the next person on your right, and this dude standing off to the side loudly says "Man, I'm getting skipped by everyone today." I look up. He is nowhere near the line I have going. He sees me look at him and says "Nah go ahead, I can wait," which I wasn't going to stop and serve you ahead of anyone, but thanks for the permission to keep doing my job that I totally needed.
When he does come up to the counter, he's talking shit on the phone the whole time like "what if I'd been on my break or something" then that would be your fault for going somewhere for food where you don't know for a fact that you'll get out in the time you need to be back at your job. Also you weren't in line. You weren't a customer yet. Bitch.
If you do this I am not going to serve you when you want. I will point you to the back of the line and say "we have a line" and continue to serve the people who actually waited their turn like civilized adults instead of standing off to the side and trying to cut ahead of everybody. That's not how this works. Either fuck off or wait like everybody else.

Ninja Daily: Vapors 54
Tsunade wiggled her feet between the couch cushions in an attempt to get comfortable. Her toes felt like blocks of ice. No amount of adjusting for comfort could put off the upcoming conversation for long, however. Besides, she was already much more comfortable than usual and consequently in a good mood. With Shizune out of town, there was no one to aim big mournful eyes that made Tsunade feel guilty for relocating to her front room to work instead of her office. She was sick of the office.
She had already given the different ways this dialogue could go considerable thought while her ANBU guard had resentfully plodded off to fetch her guest. It probably wouldn't be a particularly enjoyable conversation. But since she was already busy working on rearranging her most loyal pieces, it made sense to get this done and out of the way now.
To that end, she'd picked out her rhetorical strategy and decided to keep this brief. It was best to get to the point and only subtly move the conversation in the direction she wanted without actually attempting to persuade her target. Independent personality types didn't react well to being obviously herded.
That was fine, to be honest. She could see multiple directions for this shinobi to choose from, and how Tsunade stood to gain from all of them. Of course, she did have one she thought was more likely…
"Aiko, have you thought about your Jounin examinations?"
The question threw Aiko for a bit of a loop. It took a moment to recalibrate. To buy time, she asked, "Hokage-sama?" and just hoped that clarification would be upcoming.
Instead of replying, Tsunade offered her a platter of circular tan cookies. She took it awkwardly and suddenly wondered how many it was appropriate and polite to take. She'd never been invited into a Kage's home before. The bizarrely informal atmosphere was actually making her highly uncomfortable.
The older woman undoubtedly knew that.
Aiko settled for two cookies and gratefully slid the platter down onto the glass table between the two of them like a protective shield. The entire time, amber eyes were watching her closely as if waiting for something. She shifted uncomfortably and wished she could stand.
"I'm not in the business of having A and S class Chuunin," Tsunade pointed out dryly. "You're well on your way to that range by dint of the Hiraishin alone."
"I can't be," Aiko said, honestly bewildered. "Kakashi and Yamato bat me around like a cat toy."
"Oh, boo hoo." Tsunade rolled her eyes with a mischievous smile. "You mean that two of the best shinobi to ever come out of the ANBU program are still stronger than you? Oh well, I suppose I should just demote you back down to genin status." She flashed white, white teeth in a charmingly lopsided grin. It seemed sincere, for some reason. "Please tell me you hear how ridiculous you just sounded. I wouldn't pit most of my experienced Jounin against those two. I don't think you understand just what kind of career you were slated for when you were handed off to Hatake as a student."
She could feel heat rise in her cheeks. 'Okay, that was a little naïve,' she allowed. In lieu of verbal reply, she bent her head to let her loose hair slide forward in a reddish wave that hid her face.
Tsunade actually giggled. "I'll take that as a yes. Drink your tea, it's getting cold. And you'd better enjoy those cookies. They were painstakingly baked by Shizune."
Aiko eyed them uncertainly. Shizune-san had never seemed like much of a cook to her, but she wasn't going to say that. It was a pretty rude thing to think about such a nice lady, and one she really didn't even know on a personal level. Judgments like that were wrong all the time. Carefully she took a delicate bite—and struggled to maintain a straight face.
"Yes, they're awful," Tsunade allowed. "But if I throw them all away…" She trailed off and waved a hand irritably. "I find the tea helps. If that's not strong enough, I have this too." Long, pale fingers retrieved a narrow, colored bottle hidden down the front of her shirt. Aiko raised her eyebrows, downright impressed. She'd had no idea that was there, and it wasn't like Tsunade's cleavage was ever truly unobserved. It was like being in a room with a sleeping tiger: even if you weren't consciously thinking about it, you were making sure it didn't move too much.
Wordlessly, Aiko drained half her tea and held the cup out for Tsunade to pour a little alcohol in. She instead poured in a lot and then they exchanged the bottle so that Aiko could pour some for the Hokage. It was rude to pour your own drink, after all.
And those cookies tasted suspiciously like medicine underneath all the sugar.
"What do you know about how Chuunin become Jounin?"
The question was simple enough. So was her answer. "I don't really know anything," Aiko answered honestly. 'I suppose you get promoted when someone notices that you've advanced skill-wise? It can't be normal for the Hokage to do individual counseling meetings like this…' That was vague enough that she was sure it wasn't what Tsunade was looking for. Better to admit ignorance than try to bullshit the Hokage.
It must have been the right decision, because red-painted lips curved into a faint smile over a blue and white china cup.
"A more intelligent answer than one would think. Most don't know, because Jounin promotions are as much about politics as they are about reflecting skill levels. Sometimes that takes the form of promoting shinobi who had skill sets we desperately need at higher clearance, and sometimes it means keeping otherwise qualified shinobi out of the public eye where they can't make too much trouble."
"So… are you saying that there's some vacant space on a roster that you need me to fill?" That made some sense… but Tsunade shook her head.
"Not precisely. There isn't any one particular role I've slotted you for. You're going to be going to a personality and aptitude evaluation first, at which point you will be further counseled on your options. Unless of course you already have a preference, in which case we can skip directly to evaluating your aptitude for that position." She frowned slightly and lifted a shoulder to acknowledge, "I cannot force you to accept a promotion, but I can promise that this is not an attempt to break up your team. You will likely still be placed with team Kakashi on missions where your skill sets align, after an introductory training period into your new niche."
The next words were delicately phrased, but her eyes bored into Aiko as if they could see straight into her soul. "You would be with that team much more often, of course, if you were to take a path that would lessen the gap between your mutual experiences and training."
It didn't take a genius to figure that one out. Only a minute ago Tsunade had credited ANBU training for Kakashi and Yamato's advanced skills to some extent. She was being told to aim for ANBU. But why not tell her directly?
Tsunade's face was devoid of any hints.
Aiko swallowed, mind working furiously. 'I can't avoid promotion forever,' she noted. 'And… and I need to get stronger. Will ANBU do that for me?' Doubtlessly, Naruto had far surpassed her by now, even with her headstart. She didn't know much about what other Jounin did—they could be teachers, she knew, but wasn't she too young for that? Jounin led teams of Chuunin in various specialties, but she didn't want that path. It would put more pressure than she wanted on her and take her too far away from her team. No, she was fine being a subordinate.
When shit started to go very wrong in less than a year, would she be trusted to accompany Team Kakashi? She hadn't been exaggerating about the gulf between her and Yamato, even though they shared similarly powerful bloodline abilities. She wasn't sturdy enough to take the kind of hits Naruto did, and she certainly didn't have Kakashi's skill.
She really didn't know the answer, and she could only think of one basis for comparison that indicated she was skilled enough to be on the team: She was still stronger than Sasuke as a combatant. Would Tsunade trust this apprentice with those missions? Perhaps Sakura would have been more prepared than Sasuke was, or perhaps they were less desperate now than they would have been if that had happened?
Would ANBU work really change her life? Tsunade had implied that the harsh requirements often affected members. Aiko thought she could handle almost anything... but she didn't really know that much about what ANBU did. No one knew. She would be going in partially blind. That was terrifying.
The uncertainties welling up, she took too long to respond.
"Yes?" Tsunade prompted, mild irritation in her tone. "Do you need more time to think?"
Her heart was beating a harsh staccato against her ribs.
Yes. She needed more time to think. This wasn't a decision she could make on such short notice.
"No," Aiko found herself saying impulsively. "I want to accept a promotion and apply for a position in the ANBU unit, Hokage-sama. What do I need to do?"
"Leave it all to me." Tsunade idly dunked a cookie in her spiked tea and spun it around to make a current. "All that you need to do is report to the blue-roofed office building on the intersection of fifth and Inu tomorrow morning by four am. Tell the secretary that you have an appointment with special evaluations."
"Hai, Hokage-sama," she muttered hollowly, committing the details to memory. That was terribly early, but a full hour after the bars closed so the streets should have been cleared of those stragglers. It was probably arranged so that as few people as possible saw applicants like her entering the building. She'd never noticed a building like that before. Genjutsu? Possibly. Or it might just be nondescript.
A thought occurred. "W-will my team know?"
Tsunade snorted. "If they pull their heads from their posteriors and pay attention," she allowed. "Officially, you are not allowed to inform anyone outside of ANBU headquarters, but it is strongly discouraged to share your identity with anyone but your actual ANBU team. You might want to get a wig, by the way." She pointed absently at Aiko's reddish-orange mop of wavy locks. "In practice, I would follow most of that advice, except you can feel free to tell your team members in ANBU of your appointment, as well as one outside individual who will be your psychological contact. They will be expected to keep an eye on your mental state, as the added stress of ANBU work sometimes bothers people more than regular work."
Aiko felt a little green.
"I don't anticipate that being a problem with you, however," she allowed generously. "Your current profile indicates that you're about as stable as expected, with healthy compartmentalization techniques."
'Only a ninja would say something like that,' she thought vaguely. She cleared her throat, fingers tugging unconsciously at her hair. It grew fast and was long now—almost to the thinnest part of her waist. "A wig, Hokage-sama?" She had no idea where to get one of those.
Tsunade gave a restrained huff. "I would recommend as far from your natural coloring and current cut as possible," she pointed out, examining the girl in front of her. The wickedly amused expression in her eyes reminded Aiko startlingly of Naruto. "Either a plain black or something really…. Wild," she drew out teasingly. "How do you look in blue?"
Aiko was surprised into a giggle. She hadn't even considered that—her concern had been on actually acquiring a wig, but she had sort of thought that it would make sense to get something completely non-distinct. But it was true that the purpose of that sort of disguise wouldn't necessarily be to make her inconspicuous. Everyone looked at ANBU when they walked down a street, so she couldn't hope to hide among civilians or anything. It was just that they couldn't look at her and recognize that the girl in the mask had to be Aiko.
"Blue is fine," she managed, not entirely certain as to whether or not her Hokage was joking. It wasn't like she particularly cared one way or another, so why the hell not.
"Excellent." Tsunade snickered. "I'll present it to you tomorrow after your evaluation. Assuming you meet requirements for entrance, of course," she quickly qualified. "If you don't, we'll find another position for you."
By seven the next morning, Tsunade was parsing through the freshly stamped report on her desk with a smug expression. A series of spars and demonstrations, a short counseling session, word-association tests, and other devices had painted a clear picture for her that aligned well with Tsunade's own suspicions.
The girl was good. Tsunade had expected that skill-wise, of course, but she was also functionally stable and looked to be highly reliable. Agents that relied heavily on human interaction to detoxify after stress often suffered in ANBU when they couldn't discuss their duties, but Aiko was a recluse by nature. However, unlike many of those reclusive characters, she did a fairly good job of faking social interest when needed, a potentially valuable skill.
When her personality profile was added to her natural intelligence and sturdy ties to the village center, Aiko was as strong a candidate as Tsunade could have hoped for. Kakashi wouldn't be pleased, of course, but a month of heavy conditioning would easily mold her into an ANBU operative… one who Tsunade could trust without a doubt to be unaffiliated with Danzo's root. How much easier would it be to start picking at oddities with an extra set of ears directly in the small but crucial organization, especially when that operative was a paranoid little genius trained by Hatake Kakashi? She would be informed of her constant secondary mission soon, after Tsunade had managed to hunt her down a role in the roster.
Although the answer seemed obvious, she didn't really need another tracker right now. She had four Inuzuka alone in the ranks—there were plenty of experienced shinobi who were much less capable of transitioning to another role. Tsunade flipped through her options contemplatively, holding up a hand to silence Shizune. The girl obediently backed out of the office and quietly shut the door, recognizing that her mentor was thinking.
Infiltration was a possibility that Aiko in particular could excel at. Her characteristic emotional detachment would make it much harder for her to succumb to the typical foibles of shinobi stranded alone in enemy territory for extended periods…. But it wouldn't help Tsunade with her Root problem. No, that wouldn't do at all. She needed to be able to interact frequently with other operatives.
Front-line combat squad assignment would have fulfilled that criteria, but she took the option off the table immediately. She didn't actually want to endanger Aiko more than necessary, and not just because Hatake would be in her office glowering (until someone lost their temper and confiscated his remaining eye to cut that shit out, at least) when he inevitably found out. No, Aiko was a bit young for that sort of general assignment when it wasn't absolutely critical. Perhaps she could take those missions on an individual basis as a consultant, but not regularly, not now. One of the things that Tsunade most wanted to change about her village was the low life expectancy rate for shinobi, and one of the most efficient ways to get people killed was to send them out in high-pressure situations early and often.
'Well, what's the safest assignment available within the most dangerous role in the village hierarchy?' Her lips twisted into an ironic little smile. 'Why, guarding the Hokage and the village itself, of course. She would interact with multiple groups… and it would also keep her conveniently close to obscure her new posting.'
She didn't have to help the girl obscure her ANBU promotion, of course, but when the opportunity to make her life a little easier just dropped in her lap Tsunade didn't see a reason not to take it.
It was decided then. Aiko's first assignment would be split between guarding her personal office (a bit of a necessary joke, as Tsunade could damn well guard herself. The average threats were papercuts and restlessness, and no amount of ANBU could prevent that) and patrolling the village as the Uchiha police force had used to do every so often. The second posting would allow her to interact with her ANBU peers, and the first would give Tsunade ample opportunity to covertly communicate and prepare the girl for her possible future role in the upper echelons of intelligence work.
It was best not to have all her eggs in one basket, after all. She damn well intended to retire in a few years, and she had not one but three young people who were visibly well on their way to being Kage level shinobi (two of whom were a previous Kage's child and the other was her adorable student and one of the last scions of a founding clan. The potential postings even made sense in the tradition of leadership roles being inherited). It would be stupid to ignore preparing one, especially since the three were close enough that the two who didn't get the hat would probably be their Kage's closest advisors. Promotions gave them credibility, prestige, and visibility that they would desperately need.
Aiko felt dazed walking home. It was early morning, but she had already been physically taxed. The intellectual requirements of preliminary ANBU qualifications had been a breeze, at least, but she had too many other things on her mind to feel relaxed.
She'd promised herself that if she passed, she wouldn't put off talking to Kakashi this time. Their last argument (minor in the grand scheme of things) had been eclipsed by the subsequent lack of communication and festered stupidly. This situation was probably similar. She knew that he would have to respect her decision, but she still didn't want to address it. She didn't try to fool herself, however: trying to hide it from him would both be ineffective and damaging to their repaired but still slightly fragile dynamic.
'I should probably find him before the end of the day,' Aiko decided. 'I don't want to be immature and avoid things that make me uncomfortable. If I'm old enough for ANBU work, I'm old enough to talk to people I like about uncomfortable things without my arm being twisted.'
"Hey, Aiko!"
Speak of the devil.
No, not Kakashi. God only knows that he was never that perky. It was the other elephant in the room she was avoiding.
'Well, I can't very well make a new resolution that only applies to one person,' Aiko sighed, and put on a game face.
"Hi, Tenten. How are you?"
The other girl came to a stop, adjusting the weight of the pack on her back and waving her team on. Neji gave her a dirty look, but didn't bother to protest. "I'm fine," she allowed. A flicker of uncertainly crossed her face, inexpertly covered by a placating smile. "I meant to talk to you earlier—you kind of ran off in the hurry the last time I saw you."
'Oh hell,' Aiko cursed. That had probably been confusing for poor Tenten. "Yeah, I did," she admitted. "It was rude of me. To be honest, I was feeling really overwhelmed by all the noise and activity and socialization, and I tend to retreat when I'm uncomfortable."
Tenten grimaced. "I thought it was something like that." She sighed, resting a hand on her hip before seeming to realize they were standing in the street. Aiko noticed her discomfort and jerked her head to indicate they should start walking. As they fell into step, Tenten fidgeted a little. "You know, I wouldn't think that was such a big deal, except that you didn't say anything to me for what… a month and a half?" She frowned. "And I had to be the one to track you down," Tenten added, a little defensively. "That wasn't fair, you know."
Aiko swallowed, unconsciously tapping her fingers against her thigh in a pattern that spelled out 'need non-combat help'. Tenten didn't seem to notice, but a thin man to her left with a sleek ponytail glanced over in alarm, noted that she was just in an uncomfortable conversation, and gave an unsympathetic snort before hastily taking off as if to avoid the awkwardness.
She was a bit envious, once she caught herself frantically repeating the pattern and forced her fingers to stop. It wasn't a conversation she should run from.
"You're absolutely right."
May as well admit it. They were both well-aware.
"I was out of the village for almost all of that time, but that's just an excuse and not a reason. I ran into a situation that made me uncomfortable and intentionally avoided getting in a similar one." (Aiko was avoidant, not unaware of her own actions.)
Tenten gave a rueful smile. "You know, you're making it hard to be mad at you when you're so factual and self-aware. I had a whole speech planned out."
Aiko chewed at the inside of her cheek, feeling awkward. When her companion made to speak, she slouched her shoulders in a little defensively. She already knew she'd messed up, and was pretty sure what was coming. She even knew she deserved it, and wasn't particularly heartbroken. That still didn't mean she wanted to hear it.
"I think I deserve someone who isn't going to do that to me," Tenten pointed out delicately. "I think we're done, whatever we were in the first place. Still…" she glanced at Aiko shyly. "Friends? I think we should start over."
The offer to be friends was probably just a way for Tenten to feel better about sort-of-dumping her sort-of-girlfriend. It smoothed over hurt egos, and allowed her mental image of herself as a nice girl not to change. Otherwise, it sort of seemed like they'd had a makeout one-night-stand. Tenten seemed like the kind of person who thought that 'nice girls' didn't do things like that. Aiko fundamentally disagreed—definitions like that were stupid and restrictive.
Aiko saw right through it, but she didn't mind indulging the maneuver. "Yeah." She gave a fake smile. Unlike Sai's inept attempts, her fake smiles reached her eyes. Tenten looked relieved at it. "Friends."
When they parted ways, it was spectacularly awkward, but at least it was over. Aiko gave a deep sigh of relief. At least it was settled. 'And hey, my talk with Kakashi can't really get worse than that clusterfuck of awkward,' she pointed out to herself. 'He can hardly dump me.' Her shishou was a bit protective, but even he had to know she couldn't avoid specialization and outside assignments forever. Granted, the change was probably going to be more sudden than he'd approve of, but he had been loosening the reins lately. Considering his precise, controlling personality, any effort in that regard was significant.
Despite her resolve, she didn't actually find Kakashi until the next day when she half-heartedly waited outside the clearing where he was sitting cross-legged in front of the memorial stone. Aiko didn't want to take advantage of the trust he'd placed in her with the Hiraishin to track him down unless it was something critical—flashing into the middle of his home (where she had never been) in order to tell him that she was signed up for ANBU training would definitely be a violation of his comfort zone.
"You can come out, you know."
'I guess that's an invitation.' Aiko slowly walked over, crossing her arms into her torso and slightly regretting not checking the forecast. She really had no tolerance for cold. It would have been a good day for a scarf and that hideous but snuggly Chuunin vest.
Kakashi deigned to look up at her and clearly noted her discomfort, though apparently not the source. A hint of dark amusement flashed in his eye. "I don't bite."
Well, okay. That was a partially accurate assessment of her unease.
"I know." She flopped down to the ground next to him, letting their legs brush to leech some of his body heat. (That was a valid survival strategy, she was sure. As well as a convenient distraction). He allowed the contact, though he seemed a bit uncomfortable with it, quickly glancing away after he looked at her.
That was new. He'd gotten used to letting her hang off of him. Apparently her recent distance had registered.
Made sense. He wasn't a man who missed much.
"I talked to Tsunade day before yesterday." He hmmed, a familiar signal for her to continue. "She told me to apply for ANBU." She indulged in a quick check of his features. He didn't appear to have reacted. "I accepted. I thought I should tell you."
"I see."
Oh no. The stiff tone made her wince.
"What exactly will you be doing?"
She wrapped her arms around her knees and stared down as if her toes were fascinating. "In-village positions on guard rosters, mostly."
'Just that and spying on an internal traitorous organization, but I can't tell you that. Not worrying at all, shishou.'
Then she dared a cringing look back to find out he was watching her steadily. It was a bit unnerving. Aiko swallowed, hard, pulse jumping. She did so desperately want for him not to be upset with her. "I'm not like, leaving the team," she explained in a rush of words, just wanting to make him stop focusing all that intensity on her. "She says that if I get the training, I can-"
"You don't have to explain yourself to me." His tone was fond, but tinged with sadness. "You can't stay with your genin sensei forever. That's not how pack works."
"Pack?" she asked awkwardly.
"Pack," he confirmed, leaning back on his hands and looking up. "Puppies grow up. I'm not so forgetful that I don't remember that."

hi! i hope this doesn't disturb you, but i hope you're doing okay! i've read what happened about recently (xinyan and her race) and i think your clarification post made sense! considering that at least most or all of the characters don't really have an official race nor an age(except for the archons' age, i think)
and i agree that just because xinyan has a darker complexion than the other liyue characters doesn't mean that she's entirely african(i have no idea if i worded this right) take uh... hm korea for example: sure there are light or fair skinned people but there are people that are just like xinyan but are not black. (and we all know that the 7 nations are based on real cultures and countries, i believe..?)
and besides(once again), genshin didn't clarify their races, so it's a free space to HC whatever we all want...
i also don't think that forcing others' opinion to others is justified. you have a right to be petty about it as well.
again, i hope you're doing okay and the anon knows that they've been rude.
(also my english just really went down the drain so if something doesn't make sense or sounds rude then i apologise :'))
Dw, y'all can never disturb me by hitting up my inbox unless you come to spread hate<33
Ty, I'm glad there are still people with reading comprehension. Idk, maybe I'd be more patient with explaining if people didn't send me hate about it every week like a cycle.
I'm a-okay, I hope you have a nice timezone<33

1) Ok I understand. Neither is ND btw, at least self proclaimed. Friend who asked just wasn't sure because she assumed it might also come across as racist, and I put confrontation in quotes, it was more that she didn't feel like it. AB acquaintance has done similar stuff before, first time I heard her say it. We live in an area where disabilities are kinda more treated badly, like school refusing to accommodate disabilities, or putting physical disabilities into special-ed* because they don't
2) wanna deal with disabled students. I'm also not a big fan of AB, because she often pulls weird stuff, so I admit I don't really like her, she has a way to talk down to people that sounds really condescending. Not helped by her pointing out how my motor skills failed me, loudly in class, which just made it worse. I don't think I'd have said something if friend had come up with the idea, now thinking about it after your response. I guess I'm a bit of hypocrite. *is that the right term in Eng?
special ed is the term they use, it's the most common term, or was when I was in school, but I've heard it called offensive. the schools around here pull/pulled that shit too, I'm sorry you gotta deal with all of that. your friend sounds kinda rude and vindictive so I totally get reacting more negative because it was her. and I'm sorry for the comment re your use of able-bodied rather than abled, I've had a lot of anons pulling that shit lately and I know other people have too, and I wanted to get out ahead of it.
if her only concern is that mentioning the accent makes it hard is potentially gonna be misconstrued as racist, then going for the "have you thought about putting captions for people with hearing issues or other struggles following?" might be the best, if she thinks he's not the type to kick up a fuss about that if it's not explicitly from a disabled person, rather than straight up lying.
I hope everything gets sorted, and thank you for understanding my disagreements and responding back with clarifications.

Response to an ask from Ophelia:
(this is the one about the two people)
Hello!! Welcome back! You're not bothering me at all, you never have.
I'm really sorry to hear about that situation, it sounds absolutely exhausting and frustrating. Especially just one after the other like that--but I suppose if you were trying to spin a positive on that you could say that at least they're both out of the way now and out of your life.
I know it's hard to recognize when it's so fresh, but I do think (based on the information I have) that it will be better for you in the long run. Having friends and people close to you is valuable, but you want those to be the right people, and it sounds like those people were not the right people for you. If there was such a discord between your perceptions of each other, it's telling. It's not either of your faults, sometimes people just don't work together, including as friends. There doesn't have to be a huge underlying reason, sometimes people just don't work, so please don't blame yourself for this.
You being upset is entirely valid and I'm sorry you've lost those two people in your life. If there's anything I can do to help please let me know and I'll do my best to.
I think I understand what you mean by putting so much effort and trying so hard with people but it never seeming to work. You can see all these people around you hanging out and enjoying themselves and being friends, and you can see what they're doing but when you try it doesn't seem to work right. And they make it look so effortless!! They just become friends meanwhile you're stuck trying to figure out how they do it and guessing, and you guess wrong a lot. It's so much effort without the reward, you know?
There was one time in eighth grade (age 13-ish) where I had a class of like 8-10 people and so due to close proximity, I became friendly (not friends) with a bunch of people I hadn't really talked to, and towards the end of the year one of them said something along the lines of "yeah you're much cooler/nicer now." and when I asked for clarification she said "you were such a bitch in sixth grade" (age 11-ish), which really took me off guard, because the way I remember sixth grade I was super quiet and did my work and was generally the living embodiment of "the smart kid" and didn't interact with others, but to her I seemed aloof and rude and entitled and condescending. And it was just this quiet realization of even when I'm doing nothing, I'm still doing it wrong to everyone else. When I try to interact I say things wrong, and when I don't interact I'm somehow also doing it wrong.
It was a shock at the time, but now I've moved on from it and realized that no matter what I do, to some people the genuine me is going to be incompatible with them. And that's not either of our faults. Some people don't work together. So instead I can let them go and stop trying to fit somewhere I won't ever, and look for people who I am compatible with. It's not necessarily easy to find people, but it's also so much more satisfying and rewarding than trying to make someone else work.
That...might not be very helpful to hear right now, so I'm sorry about those two people. It really does suck, and I hope you find more people in your life who are the right people for you.
As for my meltdown, it was surprisingly not as bad as I had been anticipating, but still wasn't fun. It was the kind where a situation happens and then you're like "oh I'm going to have a meltdown about this but not right now." Where you recognize you're on a decline but aren't at the bottom yet. I'm kinda used to them and know what will happen, but it's always disruptive.
I was able to relax after though, and played tiny tina's wonderlands with my dad for a few hours. It's the dnd themed borderlands shooter game we've been playing for the past few weeks. I'm currently playing a level...32? 31 or 32, gloombringer (started as a clawbringer then multi-classed as a graveborn), and my dad is a level 31 Frostwilder (started as a spore warden and multi-classed as a brr-serker).
Claiming Sophie Foster was also like a "eh why not" kind of situation. Her being autistic is an idea I've been aware of for a while (first saw it in a fic a while ago, but unsure if nilnaea would want it shared as they sent me the link personally, not publicly), and then when I was doing some recent analyses on her I realized that a lot of what I was saying just sounded like my experience growing up autistic, so when I had the meltdown it was on my mind.
I hope you're doing okay after the emotionally exhausting two days, and if there's anything i can do to help I'll do my best. I'm always here <33

whyyy are the writers being so weird about this phone it's giving the same energy as when they had josie say to alaric that caroline had told her they had a friend in town she could stay with and that specific way it was said made it sound like just one person who she didn't know at all.... and then went on to reveal that it was delena
like to me it felt pretty blatant that the phone call was josie cause why else would it open with him talking about how he was missing his daughters that day (so therefore i'm glad that you my daughter josie have checked in) i don't really get how other hizzies can read that differently. it is weird to not confirm it the next episode when hope turned her humanity on like what purpose does dangling that serve the story? esp when obvi the writers know hosies accuse them of baiting every day
i feel like in that other instance people were guessing mfg members, namely elena or bonnie, but yeah. and in this case, i understand some ‘omg who!!’ (namely from alaric using a detached tone), but the asking about lizzie makes it more likely than a lot of these other guesses. i understand people hoping for caroline as well though.
either way, if it’s meant to be a surprise/still vague/something meant to be explicitly addressed at a later episode, i feel like it’s better to (1) not respond to people begging for clarification (2) say exactly what layne did. because if it’s so ‘obvious’ and ‘shouldn’t be a question’, why not answer them, lmfao? some of them aren't even being particularly rude about asking, they just want to know so they and everybody else can stop arguing about it, and i'd be frustrated with a goofy non-answer as well.

The Apartment: part 2
Tumblr media
▪️part 1
pairing: Kuroo Tetsurou x fem! reader
ratings/warnings: swearing
synopsis: You knew that living with your three best friends, Kuroo, Oikawa, and Bokuto, would be a wild ride. It’s never a dull moment with those three. Let’s just hope you can keep your huge crush on Kuroo a secret when he is only a room away.
a/n: hiii💓 enjoy part 2! im excited for the next part, it’s gonna get interesting ;)) as always, requests/asks are open and so is the taglist! just ask and ill add you :) enjoy xx
Two: clean up good
You had made it through your first week at your new place. It was easy to make yourself feel at home with your friends around. It was a lazy Saturday morning. You and Kuroo were making breakfast while Bokuto was at the gym and Oikawa was still asleep after a 7 hour facetime call with Iwaizumi the night before. You pranced around the small kitchen gathering stuff for breakfast as Kuroo washed the dishes.
“Did we ever end up buying orange juice?” you asked.
“Yeah it should be in the back of the fridge,” he explained. You headed over to the fridge and grabbed the juice. Kuroo went over to set the table and you tried not to get distracted by him. His perfect bedhead and raspy morning voice took your breath away.
“What?” he asked, noticing you staring. You jumped.
“Uh the tag of your pants is showing,” you said, which was true. Kuroo spun around himself as if to try and see the tag and you just laughed. Kuroo tucked the tag back in his pants.
“Geez Y/N, why are you looking at my ass?” he joked. Your face got hot.
“I was making sure Oikawa didn’t steal it,”
“What did I steal?” said a sleepy Oikawa, who just woke up. Kuroo covered his mouth in an attempt to not laugh.
“Oh nothing. Breakfast’s ready,” you smiled. Kuroo and Oikawa went to sit down and you handed them their plates of food.
“Did Bokuto say when he would be back?” you asked. Kuroo shrugged.
“Not sure, he said-”
“HEY HEY HEY!” The door slammed open to reveal a sweaty Bokuto holding his volleyball bag.
“Perfect timing Bo,” you smiled. Bokuto set down his bag and went to join all of you at the table. You began to eat your breakfast.
“Guys I have the greatest idea,” bursted out Oikawa. Kuroo looked at him with wide eyes and a mouth full of food.
“And what might that be?” Kuroo muffled out. Oikawa stood up from his seat and cleared his voice.
“We should have a party!” Oikawa exclaimed. You looked at Kuroo and Bokuto, then back at Oikawa.
“A party?” Kuroo questioned.
“Yes, a party. Ever been to one Kuroo?” Teased Oikawa.
“Hey I’ve been to a party!”
“A study group with drinking doesn’t count dumbass,” Oikawa huffed, “anyway we should have a little party. Nothing too crazy. Just an excuse to get some people over here and to dress up.”
“Oikawa I don’t know if you’ve noticed but I have 3 friends and they are all in this room,” you said. Kuroo laughed.
“You are so lame,” joked Kuroo. You rolled your eyes.
“I’m down to have a party,” chimed in Bokuto.
“Thank you Bokuto! Come on guys, we can dress up and invite some people and have a little fun. It can be like a house-warming party,” said Oikawa.
“I mean it doesn’t sound too bad. When would we have it?” You asked.
“Tonight!” exclaimed Oikawa.
“Tonight? Isn’t that a little short notice?”
“Let’s be honest. None of you had plans anyway so we might as well do it today. And I already told Iwachan that the party’s today,” smiled Oikawa.
“Okay so what’s the plan?” asked Bokuto, becoming instantly excited.
“I’m taking Y/N shopping with me for outfits for everyone. Kuroo you clean and Bokuto you are on food duty. I’ll make some calls and you guys invite whoever else you want,” explained Oikawa.
“Why do you get to pick what we wear?” questioned Kuroo.
“Because I know damn well that if I let anyone of you pick your outfits the three of you would each end up wearing sweatpants and that is not how I would like people to see my new apartment.”
“Shittykawa you do know we live here too right?”
“Precisely why I won't have you looking like idiots. Okay party is at 7 tonight so get a move on! BREAK!” Oikawa clapped and left the table. You looked at Kuroo and Bokuto.
“Well I guess I’ll see you two later. Have fun cleaning,” you smiled.
“Of course he gives me that worst job,” pouts Kuroo.
“Hey, at least that means you get to read the labels on the cleaning supplies and judge them,” joked Bokuto. Kuroo gave Bokuto a playful push before getting up from the table too.
After you finished eating, you took a bath and got dressed to go shopping with Oikawa. Just to annoy him, you wore a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt.
“Toru, are you ready?” You shouted. Oikawa came into your room, nicely dressed of course, holding Kuroo’s car keys.
“Let’s go before he notices,” he whispers. You laughed and started heading towards the front door.
“OIKAWA!”
“GO GO!” You and Oikawa ran so fast out of the apartment you almost tripped over yourselves. You hopped in the elevator.
“Kuroo is gonna kill you one of these days,” you said. Oikawa chuckled.
“Not if I get him first.”
~
You and Oikawa drove until reaching the store that Oikawa wanted to shop at. You went inside and began looking around.
“What are you buying for Kuroo and Bokuto?” You asked. Oikawa hummed to himself as he looked at the array of dress shirts before him.
“I really want to force Bokuto to wear a nice lavender button down with some grey pants. And as for Kuroo...I’ll see what you pick out first,” he explained. You sighed and went to look at the dresses.
None of the dresses really caught your attention. A lot of them looked too plain for you or Oikawa’s liking. As much as you hated to admit it, as you looked through the dresses you couldn’t help but think about what Kuroo might like. He probably couldn’t care less about what you wore but the thought of him noticing you made your heart flutter.
“Y/N!” called Oikawa. You turned around to see Oikawa holding a beautiful dress. It was made out of a shiny, almost silk-like material with thin straps. It was a gorgeous shade of red and had black lace along the v-neckline.
“You have to get this one,” said Oikawa. You took the dress from his hands and took a closer look. It really was a beautiful dress.
“Do you think it’s too much?” You asked.
“Of course not. You would look amazing in it. And it’s red...you know who likes red?” he teased. You smiled, knowing how Kuroo always complimented you when you wore red.
“I don’t know...do you think he’ll like it?”
“I know that the second he sees you in that he will confess his undying love for you.”
“Oikawa, I doubt he likes me.”
“Maybe seeing you in this dress will change his mind. Come on just get it!” You looked down at the dress.
“I’ll get it, but only because I like it,” you said. Oikawa nodded.
You bought the dress and Oikawa bought some stuff for Kuroo and Bokuto. The two of you headed back to your apartment. As you walked down the hall leading towards your door, you could smell smoke and hear yelling. You looked at Oikawa and shrugged as you opened the door.
“YOU BURNT IT?” Shouted Kuroo.
“I DIDN'T MEAN TO!” Pleaded Bokuto.
“Alright children what happened?” You asked. Kuroo and Bokuto stood in the kitchen looking at each other.
“Well you see Y/N, I was making the rice and then I decided to go to the bathroom and then I decided to sit on the couch and before I knew it I was asleep. And then I was very RUDELY woken up by Kuroo,” explained Bokuto.
“The rice is incredibly over cooked by the way,” said Kuroo.
“Thanks for the clarification,” you joked, “it’s fine Bokuto, I can remake the rice.”
“Thank you Y/N!” Bokuto picked you up for a tight bear hug.
“Well while Y/N redoes the rice, you boys can go get dressed,” Oikawa handed Kuroo and Bokuto their bags of clothes.
“I swear if you bought me-“ began Kuroo.
“Have faith my dear friend. You will look almost as good as me tonight,” smiled Oikawa. Kuroo rolled his eyes and took the bag. Kuroo and Bokuto headed towards their room to get changed. Oikawa did the same and you went to fix the rice catastrophe.
~
After you made the rice, you cleaned up around the kitchen. You washed your hands and checked the time. It was getting close to 7, so you rushed over to your room to change.
“Oikawa I'm coming in,” you said before opening the door. Oikawa was finishing buttoning up his shirt. He wore a light blue button up shirt and dress pants. He looked amazing as always.
“Do these pants make my ass look good?” He asked. You looked at the pants, seeing no significant difference in his butt.
“Absolutely. You have such a dump truck back there,” You laughed.
“I hate you,” Oikawa gave you a playful nudge before leaving your room. You took the dress out of the bag and laid it on your bed. It really was a beautiful dress.
You changed into the dress and stood in front of your mirror. The dress fit you perfectly, hugging you in all the right places. You put on a simple silver necklace and did a light face of makeup. You thought you looked beautiful. You felt beautiful.
You took a deep breath and opened your bedroom door to meet your friends. You didn’t dress up often. After all, your best friends are a bunch of guys. So if they didn’t feel the need to dress up, neither did you.
You walked out the door and Bokuto, Kuroo, and Oikawa stood in the living room, hyping each other up. Bokuto was very pleased with his lavender shirt and he looked great. No surprise that Kuroo took your breath away. He wore a neatly pressed navy shirt and dark grey dress pants.
“Hi boys,” you smiled. They turned to look at you. Each of their jaws dropping one by one.
“Damn sexy, who are you trying to impress tonight?” cheered Bokuto. You covered your face out of embarrassment.
“No one...” you whispered.
“I knew that dress would look perfect on you!” said Oikawa, giving himself all the credit.
“Wow…” Kuroo’s voice trailed off. You two locked eyes for a split second.
“We clean up good,” you smiled. Oikawa grabbed your hand and pulled you into a group hug with Kuroo and Bokuto. You held your friends tightly before breaking away. You turned to look at the front door, hearing someone knocking.
“Alright idiots, let’s get this party started.”

I'm sorry my ask came off as an accusation to you personally. It was a response to that specific post, which you didn't write, not your tags. I wanted to explain from the other side of things, that we can't just put things on hold (even though it's a huge upheaval for us as well). We've even gotten instruction from the University that we can't make big changes to grading structure and syllabi. My University is asking professors to be more understanding and lenient within these limitations.
thank you so much for the clarification, and im sorry if i was rude in my response. and thank you for the additional information, it sounds like your university is doing a decent job at handling all of this. i just hope that other universities would react the same

I am so sorry to bother, did you have the leash attached to Roma's collar and harness for a reason? I didn't mean for that to sound.... Rude? I just wanted to know if it's a safety thing... I'm wording this badly
Was that in the town photoset? But yes when I walk her I have a double ended leash one attached to the harness and the other end to collar.
When she was younger she could slip any collar (she even slipped a slip lead) and even though it hasn’t happened in like a year? I’m still paranoid that one day she gets spooked or reacts and I lose her.
I walk her on the collar and the leash with the harness attachment slightly lose because I’m trying to loose leash train and with the harness attachment shes allowed to pull. When we’re on the actual walk (we have to walk to the walk if that makes sense) I unclip the collar part and just have it attached to the back clip harness.
But no I know what you mean and that I understand, but yes just a safety thing and if she did slip one she’s still got her tags on the remaining item. (Sorry if this was longer than what you wanted and I hope this makes sense 🐶 feel free to ask again if you need clarification)

Response to an ask from Ophelia:
(I'm going to answer both asks in one for convenience. I hope that's okay.)
Hello! Welcome back!! And there's no need to thank me, I'm just kinda here and doing my thing. Someone once described me as like the kotlc fandom librarian, partially because I know so much and can answer so many questions about it, but also I think part of it was the vibes. I'm the person whose just around and who you can talk to and ask questions of without expectations. I don't know why that's relevant but it felt relevant so I'm mentioning it. But I'm glad something I did could help ease a few worries.
And it was entirely a mistake with not cutting out the December asks. There was a lot going on around that time and so it slipped my mind, not that it's any excuse. Was definitely a very strange time irl for me though! i will do my absolute best to cut them out going forward, though I can't promise I won't slip up again. it doesn't take any more effort to answer them this way, it's just different. I'm happy to do it <33
You don't need to apologize for not giving a clear yes or no, as I'm rather picky about those at times and probably ask for more clarification than other people need. I didn't want to leave any room for misinterpretation, so that was more for me than anything else so thank you for being so helpful and going along with my requests. As for the other asks, I can totally answer them still!! And I'd love to do so, and can cut out the contents of both asks. it doesn't matter the reasoning; whatever you'd like me to do to make you more comfortable, I will do to the best of my abilities. For the asks, I only ask for patience as they are a little longer (not the longest asks I have, and long asks aren't a bad thing!) and I sometimes put them off a little longer so I can focus on things throughout the week. i want to be thorough and give it the attention it deserves.
you're being very clear, so thank you. And you don't sound sarcastic at all (at least not to me, though I might not be the best judge of that). I get what you mean about overexplaining things with clarifications--that's essentially why my blog is the way it is. My thoughts aren't strictly in words, so a lot of the excessive talking and going on long explanations is me trying to translate these concepts in my brain that aren't words into words in a way that encompasses as much of it as possible, hence all the clarifications and long responses. Not necessarily the same as trying not to be rude (and you're not being rude! even if you are, I don't mind it), but it reminded me of it so I'm mentioning it.
i will answer those asks when I can and look forward to doing so!!
Just so you know, you don't need to apologize for not answering a question. We're communicating and communication is back and forth. I don't expect you to be able to catch absolutely every part of what I say (especially when I write so much), so how you've responded in multiple parts is totally fine. And sure! I can ignore asks whenever you would like me to, starting tomorrow or in the very distant future, I can do it as requested. I think if you ever send an ask that you don't want to be answered, it would work well if you included somewhere in there "please delete this instead of answering." Again, that's me needing really specific directions and clarifications so there's no room for doubt.
As for worrying about me doing more of affecting the other people who sent asks, I don't think it would be a problem. Maybe I'm thinking of something differently but it seems like ignoring an ask you sent would actually be less of me doing things, so if I'm misunderstanding what you mean by ignore please do let me know. But if that's something you're unsure about we can talk about it more to find an option that'll work for both of us.
I have absolutely no qualms about changing what I'm doing to make this easier/better for you, so thank you so much for working with me to figure that out <33
