i’m sooo curious on bill meeting dipper’s parents. i think i remember you mentioning at one point they kinda sucked and treated dip especially bad. i’m sure that’s caused a lot of his long term mental health/self esteem issues and i can’t help but think his husband wouldn’t be too thrilled about that. also they don’t even know he’s married so that’s a whole other thing lol
In the Familiar AU, Dipper's parents shipped him and Mabel off to Grunkle Stan back when they were twelve, actually!
This was initially excused as the twins 'needing to get used to having magic'. Which makes sense! Magical puberty is a heck of a thing, and getting some training's useful to cut down on random magic surges.
But by the end of the summer, they hadn't made any plans for picking the kids up. This when Stan twigged to the real situation.
And by the end of that year, Dipper knew his 'paranoid' assumption was absolutely correct.
So the twins grew up in Gravity Falls, with only very occasional visits back 'home'. Contact's been sporadic, and Mabel's been the one who's clung more to their parent's attention. Dipper hasn't spoken to them unless forced to in years.
So yeah! Bill's not exactly thrilled with the parents - but lucky for them, they haven't met him yet! And they definitely don't know about the marriage. Much less anything else.
#answers#In summary: The twins' parents found out their kids were magical and decided they Just Couldn't Deal with that#They're not magical themselves and giving your kids some Magic Training is a good idea#But at some point you need to actually *take them back*#Which they just. Yep that's an issue right there#Not the least of which is that Mabel as a more Talented and Powerful magic user got more attention when they were still there#Then continued to get more attention via phone call when they weren't#Mabel's got some REALLY rose-colored glasses on about the situation#Dipper sees it for the 'well my kids are freaks but at least one of them is a Cool Freak' it is#That's a fact he's been stewing on for *ages*. A fact bomb that he could theoretically drop on his sister but never did#Needless to say he got the brunt of the Issues™ but Mabel's got her own in turn#I'm also betting there's more than a dash of homophobia in their parents considering their reaction just to Magic#So the parents aren't going to be very thrilled about either of their partners#In my head I picture the parents wanting a Totally Picturesque Family#And creating the visual of one is easier if you only have Pictures of the kids instead of them being there and being themselves#In summary: Yeah The Parents Suck#I started a fic for this once and I still intend to write one but that's a later type of project#I gotta have the right start for it to flow well

Actually genuinely started crying when Luffy almost said he wanted Usopp off the ship and then Sanji interrupted and yelled at him. What the hell. This shit is so sad what the FUCK bro

whenever i play stardew valley i end up besties (most hearts) with a random character. It's usually not even a bachelor/ette either. This playthrough it's Demetrius, last one it was Willy, before that Linus, then Marnie. my character always seems to find some random older person to be their best friend
#well Demetrius is technically tied with Sam hearts wise but hes at the top of the list so he must technically have a bit more approval#i actually like Demetrius a lot tbh hes always doing field research and i think thats cool i bet hes got lots of fun science facts

#as i said i'm only now catching up on what happened at red rocks and honestly i'm just so confused as to#why people are getting hate mail for being at a show???? like unless you were right there at the show you will NOT know what's going on#you can't just ''leave'' a venue because there's security measures ensuring that people don't run and cause a stampede#i get that the team there sucked and should've been much better equipped for an outdoor venue but why the fuck are we blaming the fans????#and then being mad at louis??? yeah i get that his tweet wasn't the best but i'd imagine that he was trying to help out as much as he could#ensuring fans were safe and taken care of. pretty sure he is the one paying all hospital bills and stuff as well#yeah i know he's an artist and he has people doing things for him but also it's louis. he might not have been at ground zero#but i bet he was doing everything he could to help get fans to safety and he had to tweet something amidst all that#just to reassure fans a bit more and he did what he could#besides. i'm sorry but instead of being all ''louis/his team should've done more'' can we all just make sure that the fans#who were actually in that hail storm and who actually got horribly injured and who actually went through such a scary situation#are feeling okay? like why are we arguing about trivial things when what matters the most out of this situation is the fans and their safety#i honestly need people who were not at the venue and people who do not understand how traumatic things can be#to just shut up and log off#anyways to everyone present at red rocks i'm sending you so much love and i'm so sorry something so traumatic happened#i hope everyone is safe and is being treated for their injuries 💌

Sannyo's Flowers
You occasionally see art of Sannyo with flowers: [link to an example by Kajatony]
The reason for this is not only that Sannyo Komakusa is named after the Komakusa flower, but also that she named and themed her Spellcards after Japanese mountain flowers.
Mountain Sign "Heaven-Shaking Kumomagusa" / Mountain Apparition "Astonishing Kumomagusa" (depending on difficulty)
Mountain Sign "Usuyukisou Shining with Bewitching Light" / Mountain Apparition "Usuyukisou of Thronging Crowds of Youma" (depending on difficulty)
And of course, her namesake
Mountain Flower "Komakusa of Massacre" / Mountain Flower "Mountain Queen of Massacre" ( depending on difficulty)
Even her nonSpells resemble flowers.
Its extremely cute that instead of modeling them after smoke, or gambling, she chose some of her favorite mountain flowers. She has very unique tastes, especially the Usuyukisou which aren't quite conventionally beautiful but they definitely look like lasers with sunlight shining off of them. Though they certainly have their charm shining in the sunlight.
She actually has a few flowers in her den in Lotus Eaters as well
We aren't likely to be seeing them in Lotus Eaters again since Sannyo can only keep them on the mountain, but it's really great we got to see them when we did. It's nice knowing she canonicaly takes care of some in addition to modeling her Spellcards after them.
Also last but not least, the Title Lotus Eaters gave her was.
a very appropriate, and poetic title for her; and it explains why she loves tough mountain flowers so much. she's a bit of a mountain flower herself after all.
