In recent years there is a demand in genetics as a career due to the development of improved medicine and wellness therapies. Genetic engineering is a research-oriented field. It has a wide scope in agriculture, medicine, and industries. To be a genetic engineer a strong understanding of scientific methods, critical thinking, analytical, mathematical, problem-solving skills and the ability to use graphics, photoimaging, computer-aided design (CAD), laboratory equipment, software such as PERL, Python are required. The first draft of the human genome, a complete map of human genetic information, was published on this day in 2001. But remember, it's just a first draft, there's still room for improvement.

Peopling of Himalaya- first publication (Human Genetics)

Our first major paper on peopling of Himalaya is now published in journal Human Genetics.  Thanks to all of the collaborators and students. This paper was a major work of Dr Rakesh Tamang’s PhD work.
