Holden Gemini TE saloon & TF Coupé, 1982. The General Motors T-car was marketed in Australia as the Holden Gemini, derived from the Japanese Isuzu Gemini, from 1975. They were built in Australia, using a high proportion of locally-made components. These are face-lifted versions of the saloon and coupé that were never adopted. Gemini production ended in Australia in 1984

Rare to see these in Australia now. Top of the range SL-E version even rarer especially in this condition. Australia only got boring engine options. Low powered petrol or even lower powered diesel motors. Marketed as an economy car unlike in Japan where you could get twin cam and turbo versions with suspension upgrades to suit.

Being a motherly figure to her friends, Vera often finds herself scolding and praising them. She is the very definition of loyalty and passion. Even though Vera can be rather ditsy and forgetful at times, she always tries her hardest at the things she commits to. There has never been a moment that she hasn’t had the best interest of her loved ones in mind.
Vera is a collector of beautiful things. Memories, trinkets, letters, photographs, flowers, gifts, and anything pocket-size. Everything anyone gives her is precious to her.
Writing, reading, gardening, traveling, carpentry, sewing, and drawing are all things she has put a lot of time and effort into over her lifetime.
Eventually, Vera would love to write about her love story.
Vera comes from a little town quite far away from Syn County. She was raised by a mother who tailored and a father who owned a carpentry company. Her younger sister, Jennie, passed away from pneumonia when Vera was 12 years of age. The two sisters were as close could be with a two-year age gap. Grief and loneliness lead Vera down an angsty path full of teenage rebellion, stealing, and trespassing with some of her peers. Her actions strained the relationship she held with her parents, friends, and neighbors. This carried on until Vera turned 15. After a more serious bout of revolt, her parents grounded her and forbade her from leaving the house for months. Her only escape from her home was working at her father’s shop. Weeks passed and Vera sunk into a depression caused by losing her outlet.
One cloudy day in autumn, a boy around Vera’s age entered her father’s shop with his family. The young boy took an immediate interest in her after they met, coming back daily to try and get the chance to spend time with her. Despite her efforts to keep to herself, Vera couldn’t help but to warm up to him. Holden Barnes. The depression that once engulfed her very being, making her more miserable by the day, was fading with every word he spoke. For the next few months, Holden would stop by the shop where she was working and spend hours upon hours getting to know her. He brought her flowers, candies, and on occasion, little wooden sculptures he crafted himself. Time passed and Vera’s punishment ended. It seemed like every waking moment of her day was spent with Holden and the two became inseparable. She confined in him some of her deepest thoughts and he listened intently, gazing at her as if she was the world’s prettiest painting. In their spare time, they could be found by the lake. Vera would lay her head in Holden’s lap as he reads her excerpts from books she picked out and caresses her hair. Their love was profound, accepting, wholesome, dignified- it was the sort of relationship found only in old stories.
Holden proposed with his great grandmother’s ring on a sunny spring morning, a year and a half after they met. She was 18 and he was 19 at the time. They planned the wedding on the date of their first meeting, in fall. Both families were delighted to hear the news after witnessing such a harmonious love blossom. Vera’s mother gave her the wedding dress her grandmother wore, and it fit perfectly, as if it was meant to be.
Vera visited Jennie’s grave often, but even more so as the date of the wedding got closer. She dreamt of Jennie’s excitement from the engagement, how beautiful Jennie would look like as her maid of honor, and what Jennie’s opinion of Holden would be. Vera was sure that her sister would have approved of her fiancé if she were there. Jennie was the sort of soul that radiated happiness and excitement. She chased love and she embraced her surroundings. Vera knew that Jennie would have simply been happy that someone was able to heal her broken heart.
Holden worked as a farmhand on his family’s land just outside of town. No more than two weeks before the wedding, machinery that Holden was using malfunctioned, giving him fatal injuries. His family rushed him into town, desperately trying to get to the local doctor and searching for Vera. By the time news reached Vera and she raced to the clinic, Holden had succumbed to his wounds.
Sorrow, anguish, and despair are not words strong enough to describe the agony Vera felt after losing another loved one. The wedding was cancelled, and apart from Holden’s funeral, she did not leave her home for a month. The first person she visited after prying herself away from her bed was Jennie. Sitting in front of her grave, Vera sobbed until she ran out of tears and then she wailed until night came. Having lost her voice, she laid down on the grass surrounding Jennie’s grave and whispered her thoughts. A week later, Vera visited Holden’s grave.
Months passed and 20-year-old Vera continued working at her father’s shop. There was a melancholy resemblance to before Holden was in her life, as if nothing had happened at all. Every time the shop door would open, a tiny part of Vera’s heart would break by seeing the absence of him. Not being able to withstand the heartbreak in her hometown anymore, she said her farewells to her loved ones and left.
Vera spent four years traveling by herself and in that time, she learned how to fend for herself, get by without having much of anything to call her own, and carve little wooden figures.
Now, in 1901, 24-year-old Vera Callaway resides in Syn County. She had no intention of staying until feeling the presence of home in the beautiful landscapes. It was unlike any other county she had crossed before. While she’s unsure what awaits her, there is a mixed sensation of excitement and hope growing inside.
Vera carries a photograph that was taken of her and Holden when they got engaged as well as a small wooden figure of a bear that was carved by Holden.
The diamond ring Vera wears has not come off of her finger since Holden proposed with it.
Vera Callaway was born with a strong, independent will. She has always been a force to be reckoned with and there is not a single thing that could change that about her. Even in the darkest, most agonizing moments of her life, Vera remained the same strong young woman. There are some people who go almost their entire life without facing pain, loss, intense disappointment, or life-changing moments. Then there are some people who face those hurdles young, and in those cases, not many reach the finish line and can still recognize themselves.
Holden’s love for Vera was driven by his appreciation and deep respect for her. He looked at Vera in such a way that could make anyone believe in true love. It was a gaze full of delight and desire. So gentle yet flooded with lust. Each time she laughed his heart beat twice as heavy and every time she would yawn he would stop and stare at the way her nose crinkled slightly. Her giggles, sneezes, cries, yells, whispers, and snores were Holden’s favorite noise. There wasn’t a moment that they spent together when he wasn’t cherishing her presence and thanking the universe for introducing him to her. Some days, Holden believed that it was Vera’s world and he just lived in it.
Vera’s love for Holden wasn’t driven by her grief and loneliness. She loved way his lips curled when he said something cocky. She loved it when he would hold one hand and put the other on her waist when she was stepping over something. She loved his natural scent and unbelievably charming sense of humor. Their mutual respect and nurturing care for each other was the foundation of their devotion to one another. She embraced every part of Holden when she couldn’t do the same for herself. There wasn’t a thing in the world she wouldn’t give up for him. Vera wondered how it was possible for her mind to be so completely intimate with his, some days.
I imagine the first photo is Vera (17) in 1894, the second photo is Vera (18) in 1895, and the third photo is Vera (24) in 1901.
This is my first time writing about an oc anywhere except my Word documents lol. I originally created Vera to play as in a RedM server but as I was writing her backstory I fell in love with her a little bit. Her love story with Holden makes my heart a lil happy and a lil hurt. Every day I get the inkling to write one-shots about them.

Biography
Jakai Holden Alexus was born May 31st at 12pm in Sydney, Australia to Landen and Cordelia Alexus. He has a younger brother named Rye Dimitri Alexus, who is three years younger than him. For the first four years of Jak’s life he was raised in Australia and then he moved to Thousand Oaks, California. It was during his first day of Preschool that he met his best friend, Chase Chambers {@fiercehearts} and every since then they have been practically inseparable.
As time went on, the stronger their bond had gotten. Spending every other weekend at one of their homes, promising to always be friends no matter what happens and no matter where life leads them. Became so comfortable with each other that they’d sometimes experiment on the other, in fact they were each other’s first kiss. Which had sparked something in Kai but in that moment he wasn’t ready to admit he was beginning to develop feelings for his best friend, plus he didn’t want to risk his friendship so he kept it to himself. The first time he’s kept something from Chase, well at least something that wasn’t meant to be a surprise.
It was only a few weeks into junior high school that Jakai started gaining attention of his peers, however he didn’t really show any interest in popularity until college. Rather focus on having fun than all that nonsense, although he did go on dates. He wasn’t an complete dumbass, plus the more he slept around the more it didn’t hurt seeing Chase with Katie Roger. Don’t get him wrong, he adored Katie, she was like a sister to him but he couldn’t deny he was a bit jealous of her. But it wasn’t like he was a total player, he didn’t go out and fuck every night. Hell most of his attention went towards his love for adventure and his love for outdoors, especially for surfing, hiking, and camping, which began when he was a child. Thanks to his parents decision to spend the a few weeks or more having fun as a family, which luckily for him they always invited Chase’s family to tag along with them. He just didn’t want anything to serious right now so he went on dates and slept around when he was in the mood for that kind of intimacy.
It was the middle of his junior year in high school that Jak finally got into a serious relationship with a girl named Gisella Russo, the first person he found himself having serious feelings for. Ella and Kai dated all through high school and into college, they were even planning on getting married after they both graduated. However as fate would have it, Gigi and Jakai ended up going their separate ways in their second year of college due to long distance and her ridiculous jealousy over Chase ❪ as Jai would call it ❫ that lead her to cheat on him. Yet much to his best friend’s advice, they remained friends. But afterwards the male decided that he wasn’t going to get in another serious relationship after that or at least for a while, just focused on having fun again, which consists of dating and sleeping around but not letting it get too serious.
After college Jakai pursued his life long dream and became a professional surfer, getting to travel the world to do so was amazing. However being apart from Chase sucked but he was busy chasing his own dreams, busy making a life with Katie so he wouldn’t come in between that. After a few years has passed, Jak gotten into acting on the side. Something to do when he wasn’t surfing, something to bring in more money. Only taking a break to be there for Chase on those important days, like his wedding and the birth of his child, plus holidays as well. Well to be honest, Kai saw his best friend almost every night when he wasn’t away on work because he’d show up at the bar he worked at, sometimes with a date, yet most of the time, without a date because he wanted to hang with him and maybe bug him.
By the time the male was thirty, life had been pretty great. He had pretty much everything he could ask for, well almost because there are just somethings he knew he’d never have but he couldn’t complain because it could be worse. But then one fateful night changed everything, now his life consisted of helping his best friend raise his kids after the death of their mother.

HQ Holdens and LJ Toranas on the production line in August 1973 at the Holden Acacia Ridge assembly plant in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Plans were set up for the Brisbane plant in July, 1964 to start construction of the $20 million Acacia Ridge plant. On January the 19th, 1965, assembly operations started at Acacia Ridge with the limited assembly of HD Holdens. The Holden Torana was released to the Australian press at Acacia Ridge in September, 1967, and production of the Gemini started in 1975. The plant employed up to1500 workers, and was then to close with the final vehicles coming off the production line at the end of October in 1984
