Trouble smells them somehow. Big or small, it doesn’t matter: trouble just knows they are around and comes up from behind a corner to say hi. Bucky is sure of that because there doesn’t seem to be another explanation for the mess they got into on this warm (and otherwise perfect) September Saturday in the heart of fucking Williamsburg.
He feels his ruined t-shirt: torn, soaked and probably dirty from the burst pipe that sounded like a bomb from where Steve and him were quietly stealing ice-cream from each other twenty minutes ago, and his mind registers that he’s alone inside the almost dark building, meaning that he’s somehow lost Steve into the chaos of the screaming hipsters who are probably live streaming how their famous neighbors Captain Rogers and Sergeant Barnes just saved them from dying a horrible death inside their favorite store.
(It doesn’t matter if it was just them running to help when they heard a loud explosion that turned to be just a water pipe that produced a small localized power outage, and part of the false ceiling to fall inside an old-factory-turned-high-end-clothing-store, because the story, or better, the stories always get more interesting with near-death experiences and the local ex-superhero and his partner leaving retirement for a moment in order to rescue you from it.)
He’s not looking forward to facing that, but even less so while he is soaked, so he sighs, removing what’s left of his shirt and throwing it to the floor. He instantly feels the comforting dry cold of Steve’s dogtags over his chest, and takes a t-shirt from what appears to be a pile of them that has somehow survived.
The first one he tries on doesn’t even make it past his head, so he takes another from the bottom of the pile hoping for a bigger size. Thank god he’s not Steve and he actually knows how buying in retail shops works these days.
The new t-shirt fits, but it’s still hard to pass over his vibranium arm, so he searches for the left shoulder hem with his fingers in the dark, and tears the sleeve off as he’s already done hundreds of times by now. He feels better dry, absolutely ready to find his stupid husband and flee hipster hell as soon as he can.
His eyes take a moment to adjust to the warm light bathing the street, and as he starts to scan the crowd he can feel more than see all those fucking phones turning towards him, but he doesn’t care for too long because once his sight is completely adjusted his eyes meet Steve’s. Steve who is gorgeously dirty while leaning into a brick wall surrounded by a few paramedics, policemen and firefighters.
The shock in his partner’s eyes when in combination with paramedics doesn’t sit well with Bucky, but what makes him run towards him is the blood dripping from his crooked nose.
Everybody makes room for him on his run to reach Steve, so he has an idea about the menacing face he might be spotting, but he doesn’t care because Steve might be hurt, and Bucky is already blaming himself for missing the piece of ceiling that might have hit him in the head.
“What happened?” Bucky asks, cleaning Steve’s blood with trembling fingers before running them through his head searching for a wound or a bump that might explain the blood. “Shit, I didn’t see you getting hurt, what did the paramedics say? Are you ok? Are yo..”
“Buck!!” Steve half screams, half moans, stopping his babbling. “I’m perfectly fine,… aside from the embarrassment.”
Bucky doesn’t understand and Steve realizes it and fucking laughs in his face. Why did he marry this handsome bastard?
“Buck, oh my god, you changed clothes in the middle of this chaos!”
“Don’t you dare mock me, Steven, I was in a clothing store and I was soaked, I’m not sorry! I was the one bending the fucking pipe closed while you were running around saving all the cool people!”
“And the world thanks you for that… and for your choice of wardrobe.”
That’s just when Bucky actually looks down at himself and sees… well, his nipples showing up under a strip of transparent fabric. It seems to alternate with bluish stripes, pattern extending to the surviving sleeve too… and, is that half a Captain America Star over his chest, too? He starts blushing on the spot. Great.
“I should have known nothing good could come off from picking a random shirt in Williamsburg, what the hell is this thing?” He asks Steve, who is having a fit of laughter in the middle of the street, people making videos of it but hopefully not getting on with their conversation.
“Looks like a semi-transparent pseudo-version of my old uniform,” Steve finally answers, laughter half gone and blood showing up again now that he’s actually focusing on Bucky again.
“Oh my god, Steve! You dirty punk, you gave me the scare of the week and you are actually bleeding because…”
“Yeah yeah, my blood is running south much faster than my super-soldier arteries can deal. Give me all the shit you want, but let’s get out of here if you don’t want me to rip off that excuse of a t-shirt for all these lovely people to make stories about.”
Bucky laughs into Steve's mouth, getting close enough to actually feel where Steve’s blood is traveling to, and making sure he gives people something interesting to stream about before they disappear running past the crowds hand in hand like the silly (and horny for each other) teenagers they still are at heart.

Mikasa and Levi took the spotlight this week! 30.1% of viewers felt most hyped up by Mikasa’s “explosive” reintroduction to the anime, while 22.6% were stoked to see Levi take on Porco to save Eren. 18.3% were most hyped by the Survey Corps taking on the Jaw Titan and the subsequent cliffhanger.
THE CGI CONTINUES TO BE A POINT OF CONTENTION. BE HONEST, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE EXECUTION OF CGI SO FAR THIS SEASON?

Just under 50% of responses seemed to indicate that they thought MAPPA was doing very well with the CGI utilized. A little over 15% stated that although it was not their favorite, they understood that it could be a lot worse. Other responses (in order) were being neutral about the CGI, not liking it, but understanding the need for its usage and folks who adamantly rejected 3D animation.
I actually prefer CGI titans because of the way their movements looks, it looks almost slower, to me it fits very well with how the big titans are. Im not an anime guy at all so ive never seen cgi in other anime but i really like the way Mappa's CGI looks, it blends in very well. I dont like CGI people though, the shot with Jean throwing the marly soldier off the rooftop i didn't like very much.
I feel horrible saying this believe me... but I really vibed with the CGI up until this episode. I think maybe because it's the first time its been used on humans (OPM) rather then titans. I'm not massively put off though, I really apreciate the efforts this episode must have taken. TY Mappa
The episode is great no doubt, my only concern is the CG personally, as a 3D artist myself, I think I would prefer an all 2D medium like the battle at Stohess. Using 3D is fine as long as it blends seamlessly to the background, like kengan ashura, it's not perfect but bearable.
I honestly think that 2D will always 100% be better than cgi but I can understand why mappa is using cgi
It was fine in the other episodes, but in this episode, it looked overused and bit bad

When it came down to Eren’s swan rooftop dive (“Like a fallennn angel…”), the majority seemed to be impressed, with 68% giving it a score of 4 or higher. It was not a monolithic opinion however and many seemed also rated it poorly. Do better, Eren!

The Survey Corps has returned! Of these reappearances, viewers most enjoyed Mikasa’s (48.9%), Levi’s (31.9%) and Sasha’s (14.9%) the most. Jean and Connie got a little less love, though we’re sure people were still happy to see them!

It would appear that the slight plurality sees Mikasa as having the best glow up out of the cast, followed by (in order) Eren, Sasha, Connie, Jean, Floch and Levi. The Old Captain doesn’t like to change up his style, we suppose.

In relation to the previous question, we still haven’t seen 3 major members of the cast. Armin, Hange and Historia. When we asked which of the three you were most looking forward to seeing next, the slight majority (52.7%) expressed their excitement for seeing Armin again, followed by 11.8% wanting to see Hange most. Some others have also expressed their desire to see Historia again. 17.2% simply could not choose and 10.8% stated that they simply didn’t care about the 3 characters.

The Warhammer received an overwhelmingly positive response, with the majority expressing much excitement over both its design and powers. 15.6% noted that the design was a bit too creepy for their liking, but the powers were awesome. And on the flip side, 10% noted the Titan’s design was rather cool, in contrast to its rather OP ability. A select few did not enjoy either aspect.
Would probably enjoy it more if it belonged to someone that likely is not going to be just cannon fodder

The circumstances of the Survey Corps’ presence on the mainland continues to be a mystery. When we asked about whether Eren was there alone or not a few episodes ago, the majority believed that he was either there alongside the Survey Corps or was sent there by them. Overall, the feelings seem to be the same (that Eren came alongside the Survey Corps). 45.6% think that Mikasa’s words may have some other meaning and that things are way too planned out to be coincidence. 18.9% believe that Eren did go rogue, while 15.6% think that Eren didn’t necessarily go rogue, but wasn’t working with them for a while either. The remaining 20% have already been spoiled on this particular plot point.

Now that both sides of the conflict have had their rude awakening, we asked how you guys felt about the two events comparatively. 33.7% feel that both attacks were tragic, but still feel more empathy toward the Eldians on Paradis than they do toward those who were raised on Marley. At a tie, 22.8% of respondents felt that the victims of the Liberio attack got what was coming with them, while another 22.8% felt about the same amount of sympathy for the victims on both sides. 10.9% feel this is way worse than what happened in Shiganshina and feel more sympathy for the victims in Liberio.
I am yet to know the goals behind this attack.
Marley did this countless times so I don’t feel bad for them. I kind of feel for eldians tho bc they are brainwashed from a young age to give up their lives for a country who doesn’t give a shit about them.
Honestly they deserve what Eren is doing to them. Excluding Falco, no one outside of Paradis has earned my sympathy, even with the additional context.

Udo and Zofia have joined the ranks of characters who tagged along with the main cast for a while only to be killed off for character development. 25.3% anticipated at least one of them to die, but not both. Another tie on this poll, 24.2% stated that they were disappointed and was hoping to see more of them, while another 24.2% didn’t care about them at all. 14.3% are happy to ditch the focus on them in favor of more familiar characters, and 8.8% feel pure and utter devastation.

Eren and Floch were anything but BFF’s at the closing of season 3. Now Floch seems to be wholly devoted to Eren’s cause… What changed? 28.6% believe that nothing has actually changed in terms of their relationship, but that Floch simply just latched onto Eren’s fight in need of a new devil. 23.1% feel that they still aren’t friends, but are in more comfortable “ally” territory. 15.4% aren’t sure what to make of it. Gabi moves headstrong into the fight, wanting to play her part in defending her hometown. A large chunk of anime only viewers have been spoiled on future developments for her character. But for those still in the dark - 24.4% feel that she will successfully kill a member of the Survey Corps. 21.1% aren’t sure what to expect, while 10% think she will only manage to injure someone in the Survey Corps. Smaller amounts feel she won’t be successful in any capacity or may even die herself.

Epic episode, survey corps come back, OH YEAH, but I wished they didn’t use CGI on humans and bettered the CGI on Titans.
It really makes me sad how Eren is continuing the cycle of revenge by killing innocent Marleyan civilians, but it makes sense for his character.

This was a great episode and I was literally vibrating in my seat from excitement! I think MAPPA is doing a great job with the animation and the music works really well with the action. Can’t wait for the rest of the season!

before you grill me with my rankings please know that i! love! all! of! these! schools! equally! i do not hate any particular school; i am simply ranking their school spirit. this is also lowkey crack because what everyone said made me laugh and honestly i came up with this idea for the laughs. so, like, don’t take this personally.

10: ITACHIYAMA, NOHEBI
Alright, so let’s start with Itachiyama. I got one person who mentioned them in my last category, which was “any other school i didn’t mention? & why” and honestly we don’t know anything about them. But perhaps the mere fact that they were winners says something I guess?

Their whole team radiates spirit, but I don’t remember if they actually have a cheering section. Unlike Wakutani, where most of their spirit/support came directly from Takeru, each one of the members of the team had their own school spirit. Their school spirit isn’t that recognizable to be remembered by most people, though.

Much apologies to the OG team. For one thing, their cheering squad, while I must admit is very impressive and loud, is not Karasuno High School itself. It’s literally coposed of a bunch of outside associations. And when their cheering section from the actual school does show up, they’re not even synchronized; they practiced for one day and called it “school spirit.” They showed up for one match and that was it.

Honestly, I had a hard time choosing whether to put Karasuno or Nekoma in sixth place. I went with Nekoma because of Kuroo’s “inspirational” pep talk, which really shows the bond between each of the members of the team, but they’re still ranked pretty low because I can’t get that one scene out of my head from the manga where it’s this one match (I won’t say which one) where students from Nekoma attend the match and a couple of them go, “Wow, this is my first volleyball match that I’ve been to!” Like, dude, seriously? Wow. They also take sixth since their cheering squad, also composed of students, is led by a Nekoma Junior High student. We love supportive sisters.

I would have ranked them a little higher if it weren’t for other more spirited schools. The whole school knows how to hype up Bokuto, along with cheers of their own. The team itself knows each member so well that they’re able to adapt to whatever their ace is feeling.

There’s too much to say. They’re so extra it’s unbelievable. The entire cheering section knows how to adapt to each members’ likes and dislikes, and will call others out when they need to do so. For instance, when that one guy asked the two girls not to cheer while Atsumu is serving? Absolutely wild. And when they start booing or play a tempo to throw off the opponent whenever it’s the other team’s serve? Their practice and precision really shows. It’s crazy. And I’m pretty sure that they’re the only school that brings their entire orchestra to play during the matches.

Captain Marvel: I dream of Breezy
People, the time has come!
Ever since we saw Nick Fury sending out a message at the end of "Infinity War", we've been waiting... which in the moment seemed out of place. The world is literally disappearing before our eyes, The Avengers took a big L, and Nick Fury decides to... what? pull out some high-tech weapon to save the day? - no. Pull out some type of device that will save himself from disappearing? - no. But, he's got time to take a selfie or tell his women "bye" - or so I thought. He was actually sending a message to the mysterious (at the time) Captain Marvel!
BOOM!
Brie Larson, who plays CM, was always hanging out at Marvel events, and we finally figured out why. It was strange at some of these events tho... like the Black Panther Party - all of these people from Wakanda -
- and then there's Brie Larson.
And they're like "What the hell, woman?! Why are you here?!"
But, now we KNOW! - she's Captain Marvel!

- and she's going to play a huge role in saving the day. Then, we found out that she's getting her own movie, and it's about damned time it has arrived.
I had a dream about Brie the night before this movie's release. She was sitting on the couch, and was upset about something. She also had... well, maybe she was pregnant... or she had a beer gut. But, in this dream, I remember feeling a deep love for Brie, so even if it was a beer gut, it didn't matter to me. It would also mean tht she's passionate about beer, which I am as well:)
I don't know if we were a couple, or if she was the other woman, or if I was the other man... or if I was trapped in the friend zone, and thought I'd use this time of her being upset to break free and into her arms... Who knows?? I also don't know what she was upset about. But, towards the end of the dream, I was on the couch with her, giving her a hug:) - she let me, so I know she wasn't upset at me. I woke up and shouted "Brie!" And within seconds, I realized it was all a dream... or was it? Maybe she's my wife in another dimension. We'll solve that mystery later, it felt real as hell tho.
Anyway! We have Brie as Capt M. We also have a digitally young Sam L Jackson!
Before the brooding, the scars, the all black uniform, the badass eye patch, and him demanding to know what's in my wallet, he was a young pup of a detective, who loves cats apparently. I was excited to see more of his story.
Jude Law is also in this movie. He's rockin that look when you're losing your hair, but you jell it up a bit to look like you're still young and hip. Some people can pull off the look, but it's always the beginning of mid-life crisis. Whenever I see people walking down the street with that look, I always tell them that I'm praying for them.
When was Jude's last big movie? I ask because Jude is supposed to be a big star right?? - or at least he was. Yet I never see him at any Marvel parties. Is he not invited? Why don't they like Jude? "Jude" is such a cool name. I'd want him at the party, so I could say things like "You know JUUUDE'S going to be here." and "Excuse me, but I need to go speak with JUUUDE." Why don't they want him there? Is it because of his mid-life crisis? I have a feeling that when rich, famous, white men go through their mid-life crisis that it's ten times worse than other non-those things people. Anyway, yet another mystery to solve.
Djimon Hounsou is up in there as well - I feel like he never gets enough credit for being in everything. And Ben Mendelsohn, who's frickin awesome as a villainous character.
We've got a great cast, some kick ass special effects (which btw they put their budget to good use - the bg's and fight scenes were dope), AND we got the 90's going on! We saw from the trailer that Capt Marvel smash-lands through the roof of a BlockBuster Video store. Memories, am I right?? Some of you are prob too young to remember the pain of renting a DVD season. I remember trying to rent epi's 3 & 4 or something, but they might only have 1 & 2 and 5-10. I'd have to search around at other BlockBuster's (especially if I promised a lovely lady on a date that we'd watch a certain episode when we got home) or say "eff it!" and watch it out of order. I used flirt with the clerks to ensure they'd lmk when the epi's I needed were in. Turnin BlockBuster tricks for episodes... the 90's were rough. The movie takes you down a fun lane of memories, if you remember those days tho.
In the midst of nostalgia Capt Marvel is snatched away from her successful life as a pilot, taken to space where she is made into the Capt Marvel that we come to know, finds herself back to earth to hang out with Sam L while piecing together the memories of her past, all while a war is going on with a shape-shifting alien race called "Skrulls"
- they kinda look like Yoda's people.
Ooo! maybe tht's another mystery! It would fit too, because a lot of this movie feels like Star Wars - like Star Wars meets a 90's buddy cop sitcom.
I enjoyed the movie. I had a fun time with it. There are some compaints out there: Some wanted this movie to be deeper in story. Some wanted this movie to be more soaked in serious feminism. Some wanted this movie to be less soaked in general feminism. Some were bothered by Brie Larson, believing that she's too stoic in her delivery.
Um... I don't understand the complaints about feminism (on either side). If you are looking for the feminism, it's def there. BUT, if you simply want to enjoy a movie without too much serious world stuff in it, that's def there too. You'll see or not see whatever you want, I guess. I would compare this movie more to "Ant-Man" in tone. Not as goofy, but it stays fun and light.
Now, it definitely could have been a deeper movie - CM is kidnapped, violated, and lied to - but Marvel ain't dumb - they don't want THAT to be the kid's first impression of her - that might effect sales. Besides, we don't always have to be so serious and tense all of the time.
Ex. In Ant-Man, he always goes big at some point and ends up crushing people's property, and probably crushing people around him as well - we don't talk about that. And what about his manipulation of those ants?! When you think about it, that shit ain't right! But, we don't need to talk about it:)
And I'm of course going to defend my wife from another dimension (Breezy). A lot of her personality is implied from the flashbacks, but we see she's snarky, fun, and a bit of a loose canon. I understand to a degree what people are saying, but I think the blame goes more to the writers than Brie. Also, the fact that there's non-stop war going on throughout the movie, so there's not a whole lot of down time to get to know her in depth.
The writing to me, is the biggest flaw of this movie: The villainous character that Ben Mendelsohn plays brilliantly is inconsistent. In the beginning of the movie, he's no-nonsense "We need to kill her and anyone who gets in our way". Then, later on, it's like he joins in the 90's buddy cop sitcom fun. He's crackin jokes and talkin shit - which btw (and I admit this is a nitpick) how does he know how to use slang and idioms, if he'd never been to the planet before? I also have other questions about shape-shifting - like... they can change into whomever they see, but... how do they get the details right? - or do they? Let's say somebody has a third nipple and a bad case of athlete's foot... how could they get those deets down? or even the voice - how do they copy your insides? And how do they copy your mind enough to fool people? I'm getting way too deep into this, I suppose... more mysteries smh.
Can you imagine if we all had the ability to copy one another?? Which takes identity theft to a ho nova level. Also sexual harassment... I mean let's say you wanted to feel what Chris Hemsworth's butt felt like.... you kinda could whenever you wanted to. Like I said, we don't need to go deep with everything:)
The writing is also too quick; the whole movie is - we don't get to know much more about Fury or any of the characters really - especially CM. At the end of the movie, I found myself not being invested enough in Capt to care if a sequel is made. I mean, I care if my wife from another dimension gets more of that Marvel money, but that's something different. There's also a part in the movie when she realizes she has been lied to... she gets over this very quickly. Most of us with that type of power would have went on a drunken rampage, but she just throws a slight tizzy, and moves on to kick butt. It would have been a great time to show some human traits that would have helped us relate to this character.
I also fear that they might run into the prob they run into with Superman. Supe is sooooo powerful and he doesn't have many flaws. It's flaws that draw us to characters as much as anything. We didn't get enough of the human side of CM. BUT, all in all (like I said), I enjoyed the film. But, I didn't have any expectations going in. I think if you go in like that, you'll be satisfied.

Buffy Reviews: The Witch
1. omg i wish i could just copypasta the entire first scene bc everything about it is gold
Giles: This is madness! What can you have been thinking? You are the Slayer! Lives depend upon you! I make allowances for your youth, but I expect a certain amount of responsibility, and instead of which you enslave yourself to this, this... Cult?

2. buffy’s face when she says “and you’ll be stopping me how?” I CAN’T
3. ok so no offense to high school cheerleading but... why is it so big here? like this is a one-starbucks town, no one needs to be hiring coaches to get on their high school team?? wtf
4. we can all agree xander’s gross custom ID bracelet is pretty ewww right?
5. i love how in awe of buffy willow is after buff saves amber, like it’s so cute / appreciative and this is how i choose to remember willow always
6. i do love referring to Buffy & Co as the Scoobies but part of me kinda wishes “Slayerettes” had stuck
7. this fucking outfit BUFF U INSPIRE ME
i love that there’s usually some feature that just MAKES the look, ya know? like these tights!!! i want this whole Look and i want it NOW
8. this is not a good episode for the self-appointed captain of the joyce summers defense league. my notes literally say “joyce??? :( indefensible” there’s literally no good here. like first joyce doesn’t even know what she’s trying out for?? and then instead of ASKING she just gives generic platitudes?? and THEN when buff calls her on it, joyce gets an attitude? and still even after all this, buff starts hinting about wanting to spend more quality time with her mom and joyce just blows it off. just like... why must u make this so hard for me, joyce???
9. buffy is honestly so empathetic to amy and it warms my heart. like no one deserves her. totally understanding where amy is coming from and the pressure she’s under and doing her best to make her feel better even tho she only met the girl yesterday? the world does not deserve buffy summers.
10. lmao i love cordy’s scene in the locker room with amy. it’s like just the right amount of chilling and then u remember it’s cordy and they’re talking about cheerleading . it really homes in on the terror of high school without being heavy handed about it, as the show is prone to do sometimes.
11. willow’s crush on xander isn’t as obvious in these first few episodes and i always forget. like he’s talking to her about buffy and she doesn’t seem like *as* bothered as one might expect and even suggest him asking her out? ofc she’s p confident buff would say no i’m sure so maybe she was just trying to get xander over her faster. regardless, it’s definitely not as blatant as it will become.
12. another cringey convo with joyce. i’m trying to remember when she starts to get good?? like this is painful:
Joyce: Whatever your own thing was got you kicked out of school!
pls, joyce. pls.
13. i have mixed feelings about this outfit.
like the shirt literally just has a cupcake on it which i LOVE and i like pink pants in theory but... the pants + the jacket is just not good

17. this scene where they see who checked out the library books is weird. it doesn’t rly make sense from a “how do we figure out who is the witch” standpoint and serves no purpose plot-wise. and “haha xander looks at nude ingravings bc he’s a teenage boy” is just not a very good joke, but it seems like they made this whole scene to make that one bad joke. i don’t get it and i don’t like it.
18. i like the continuity of showing the same bio teacher that’ll be in the next episode
19. again, buffy astounds us all with her amazing sneakiness and incredible lying skills
Buffy: Amy, help me. Um, which is the hydrochloric acid and which is the, uh, ammonium hydroxide?
Amy: Well, the bottle that says 'hydrochloric acid' is usually the hydrochloric acid.
followed by buffy very not-subtly dropping her pen and then not-subtly grabbing a fist full of hair out of amy’s brush. like come on, girl.
20. buffy’s spell-drunk / macho man / giddy whirl scenes r like in my top 15 scenes for the whole show. seriously. she is so cute and SMG is acting with her entire body and her skirt is twirly and her hair is bouncy and she is so funny and cute and delightful. also every time i drink juice i now say “hey look, juice” the same way buffy does in the breakfast scene.
21. i am HIGHLY embarrassed to admit that it took me until this viewing (at least my eighth) to see the parallel between xander calling willow “my guy friend” and buffy calling xander “one of the girls.” but now that i have noticed it I LOVE IT
22. so even when buffy still thinks it’s amy doing the magic, she is REMARKABLY empathetic for someone about to die. like she thinks amy is literally killing her and her response is
Buffy: It’s not Amy’s fault. She only became a witch to survive her mother.
23. the body-switch twist where it’s actually amy’s mom in amy’s body is literally SO GOOD and just elevates this episode to rly one of the best, esp for the first season. like i just can’t get over how good it is. i didn’t see it coming my first watch-through, it keeps with the theme of the hellmouth making metaphor-problems a reality (”my mom is trying to relive high school through me!) without being too on-the-nose, and the revelation scene is just incredibly well done. like when amy is explaining how she woke up in the wrong bed, i genuinely get chills.
Amy: She said I was wasting my youth. So she took it.
CHILLS I SAY
24. “Go Sunnydale Go” repeated over and over and over and over is probably the most boring cheer i’ve ever heard
25. does giles casting this spell count as Ripper!Giles? bc he says it’s his first casting whcih ofc could be a lie but could also be retcon . either way it’s sexy af (as Ripper always is)
26. this shot will never not be hilarious to me
27. idk about this outfit, buff. like it’s v put-together and all but... stick to the cheerleading uniform
28. overall one of the best episodes in the first season and honestly even holds its own compared to the rest of the series. like i don’t think it’ll be on anyone’s Top 10 list but it’s a really good episode. it’s compact (with the exception of the library book scene), it’s on theme, it’s creepy, it’s funny, and it’s got willow comparing xander to a chewed up pen. what more could u want??

Hey listen no one asked for this but listen losers club marching band au
Like DUDE im,,, in marching band and I couldn't resistresist so here are my headcanons hhahah if y'all wanna add anything PLEASE DO
Ok so first of all my boi Mike??? Drumline for sure you best BET that boy has the best tempo like??? He's nearly always on beat bc he's the only one in drumline that watches the drum major
he's either tenors or base drum, tho I CAN see him as a snare i think he'd be more of a tenor player
he does drums normally as well bc when he was young he would bang on pots and pans all the time and make little beats and his parent thought it was great and got him one of those super cheap beginner drum sets and it escalated from there (I'm a slut for the book so mikes parents are alive and love him very much)
now stan the man over here gives me a flute kinda vibe he can hold his breath for hours
richie makes some joke abt it ofc
something like "I wonder what kind of things you get up to to hold ur breath like that ;)"
stan just deadpan says "I don't breathe richie. Ever. I don't have lungs." and richie, looking at stans fucking sheet music is just like "yeah fair point"
once Henry Bowers (the fucker) have him a swirly in the boys bathroom down by the cafeteria and stan just sat there for 3 or 4 whole minutes NOT BREATHING and it freaked out the Bowers gang bc they thought he was dead
he wasn't
stan probably actually does a lot of breathing exercises for his playing and stuff and that is why he can hold his breath for so long
Now for Ben, I think ben would be a marching baritone? Or maybe a tuba
better yet he starts with tuba but goes to clarinet because it sounds cool and he wants to try something new
he doesn't ever hang out with his section though he hangs with bev mostly (none of the losers ever hang out with their sections)
ben is definitely the only clarinet that listens to directions like?? He's the sweetest boy ever you can NOT tell me he acts like a rude clarinet he is the sweetest
he offers to help the section leaders with absolutely everything
helps pit move things without being asked all the time. He once almost offered to help pit move things off field after a comp but the band director didn't let him
Bev is either drum major or color guard fight me on this
like for color guard she's the color guard captain and she's amazing at it
best posture, very clean movements, she just puts so much hard work into this
disrespect bev and die bc listen she's a SECTION LEADER and does her job WELL
Bev and Ben (despite Ben being a clarinet) ride the same bus for a while but then they started dating and Ben had to move to the brass bus :(
on the bright side bev gets to hang with eddie who is on pit and Ben gets to hang out with bill and richie
Eddie plays the marimba out of spite
like hear me out here his mom finds out he's joining marching band and FLIPS bc he could get hurt or sick or blah blah blah
and eddie really wanted to march he wanted to try Mellophone! It sounds nice!! But nooo his mom had to ruin that too
so of course he's not just going to DROP marching band. He gets her to let him be in pit at the very least
he does not tell her he chose the BIGGEST FUCKING INSTRUMENT
like listen man eddie - my tiny, short boy - playing a big ass marimba
he practices so hard all the time and he has a solo that took him so long to get the tempo right on bc it's probably like,,, the tempo is 160 and he has to play 16th notes Idk something fast
but he gets it right and is so proud and just AAAAAA

he also helps pit push things
and by he helps pit push things I mean he pushes Eddie's marimba cause he wants to impress him/spend more time with him and Eddie's like "ok cool thanks for getting that babe" and proceeds to push one of the big ass speakers they have across the field and richies like <3<3<3
he makes the worst band jokes ever
EVER
one time someone fucked up their intrument rly bad and everyone in brass was freaking out bc this poor trombone cadet was gonna get murdered by the band director and richie just fucking "nah hey it's fine see you just gotta tune it" "richie wha-" "it's just a little FLAT" "RICHIE WHAT THE FRESH HELL"
he got dropped for 20 pushups for that one (it was totally worth it according to richie)
tried to trick the band director into letting him transfer to the color guard bus so he could hang with bev and eddie but the drum major caught on as soon as they saw richie talking to Eddie abt it and was like "richie big mood but n o"
Now last but most certainly not least is my boi big bill
Bill is a mellophone player I think
he's definitely a section leader and honestly he's probably brass captain
if not brass captain he's a loading officer but either way he's leadership
he's the one that dropped richie for 20 pushups for the joke abt the flat trombone
has no hesitation putting cadets in their place if you're here you're here to play not screw around
is still one of the nicest section leaders he really helpful if you're doing what you're supposed to be doing

has a stash of gloves he bought during a Halloween sale the year before for when people lose their gloves they don't have to get in trouble
"no swearing in uniform- I'm looking at you richie"
spends his third quarter with bev and or stan and mike
his favorite part of games is meeting the other band let's be real here
His stutter gets in the way a lot even though he's been getting a lot better 1st controlling it and he's not SUPER intimidating but brass still listens to him bc he's a section leader and the drum major always backs him up

Genderfluid!Saruhiko
Help. I’m thirsty for more genderfluid!Saruhiko (please check out my fanfic called Skirts and Fishnets. Located on both AO3 and @my-writing-is-trash ) so I’m just going to put some things down here and I’ll add on when I think of more. YOU ALL CAN FEEL FREE TO ADD MORE. I LOVE THIS AU SO MUCH.
[Everything below is at the time of when my fic takes place– a few months after the Destroying of the Slate so he’s 20]
Soft Warning: I swear, okay? I get in the spirit of things and get excited and it comes out that way. I cut most of it out.
Makeup? They look fabulous in everything. Eye-shadow, lipstick, nail polish??? Yes. They are stunning and love it all. Especially mascara/eyeliner because their eyes pop in such a nice fashion (not like they do anyways but even more is A++). On any day, they wear eyeliner because it makes them look stunning. They especially like dark blue make up (light blue is nice too but they like the constant and pop that the dark colors give against their pale skin) even though it’s so damn hard to find some of it. Like, they walked into a store looking for dark blue lipstick because the light blue wasn’t working out for some reason and they nearly stabbed the make up section BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS SELL JUST REDS. They got irritated and just bought a black instead which, incidentally, turned out to be perfect.
Nail polish? they love that, especially on their non-masculine days (even tho they leave it on the masculine ones because 1) a hassle to take off. 2) everyone already knows that if they comment, they die. 3) it’s kinda comforting sort of?). Ofc blacks and blues, they would do purple– at least light purple tho– too but Niki fucked that up.
Clothing? Sexy in everything. Nearly absolutely everything. Women’s, men’s, gender neutral? EVERYTHING. I could write a whole big extra post on this (I might even) but I’ll just put down a few things here:
Obviously the typical “Saruhiko” look with his dark colors and all but he also likes to venture out a bit. On the days that they wear more “feminine” clothing, it usually comprises of a nice simple skirt, some sort of shirt (basically the same thing as any other non-work day except for special events or finds something they like), and dress boots. The whole outfit is, naturally, fitted with a small knife set. (I’m gonna write a mini thing about a skirt I want them to wear. Maybe put it in my fic as well). The times when they are more masculine, it’s the same “Saruhiko" look. No difference in wardrobe because none is needed.
SUITS. Their shoulders are too broad to fit in some dresses at this time (when they were younger, they could) so suits it is. And that of course is not an issue because fuck me they are sexy af. [I’m thirsty for people in suits. I have no idea why but for some reason I die when I see someone in a suit. Please dont make a real Saru appear in front of me with a suit unless you want me to die automatically. Like, I dont want to ripe it off of them, I just want to stare at them forever] Misaki instantly has nose bleeds seeing them dressed all fancy.
So that is it of how they express themselves. ugh, whats next. Backstory? Alright, I’ll try to explain some of it
Copied out of my fic: “ This is… new. The old was me. Once in middle school, I had found a bottle of purple nail polish laying around on the floor of the classroom. At this point in time, I had started to seriously consider my sexuality and gender. Typically, I could really care less– if you’re happy, be happy, I have no reason to judge, but then, feelings had started to swirl inside me like a whirlpool. I was angry at myself at first, fully believed that I am just a monkey… a failure, a failure that I couldn’t just be a normal guy that went to school and could hit on girls. So, when I found the little purple bottle, I had hid behind the school. I was curious, no stupid, and started to paint my nails. I have never done that, actually do something that was girly. It was a rush of feelings, angry, happiness, sadness, giddiness; there was enough feelings that I couldn’t help but laugh as my eyes teared up. It was proof that I was a failure but also proof that I could be someone different, someone whose life wasn’t an endless parade of despair. During the midst of raw feelings, Misaki had found me hunched up behind the baseball pits. First, he was concerned, who wouldn’t be if their friend is hiding with tears falling down their face? But once he saw the nail polish bottle laying in the grass by my feet, he just smiled. A genuine beautiful warm smile cross his face as he laughed and picked up the bottle, saying, “Fushimi, you could’ve told me. There’s nothing to be ashamed about.” He grabbed my half painted hand and brush-cap to start to go to work after those words. His blind acceptance was… wonderful. Wonderful in the fact that he could really care less whether I wore skirts or pants, whether I wore make up or went bare, whether I was girl or a boy. He took me for who I was– his friend.”. So yeah. That’s that. You could probably find the cause of why they are upset because of his dickish father, no shit.
Essentially, Saru had many conflicting feelings about his gender when they were young (12 at this point) and having a father that doesn’t help much– really not at all, or even worse so. At times, Saru didn’t feel like they fit into the masculine standards, yes they were a guy, yes they dressed like one and acted like one but deep down, they didn’t feel like one. At firstly they were concerned because they didn’t feel like a guy and they were nearly 90% sure they weren’t female either so where they? For a year of suffering from NIki and suffering from this confusing confliction, they figured out they were either female nor male at times but they were just… there? No defined boundaries of gender yet still existed as a gender? Saru was just confused but through the means of logic, technology and information, they finally realized what exactly what they are on those none masculine days. Yes, they go back to male from time to time depending on the day or week but they figured out that the other identification was neutrois. Then came the problem that how did they like feminae clothing while still being male/neutrois? Shouldn’t I just like malsaine and gender neutral clothing and not feminine? They thought but after some time of realization that make up and clothing really don’t have a gender, it’s just that a sociality viewed on this and decided to mark things are “Male” or “Female” and none in between. So, at least in their mind, they felt more okay when feminine like clothing when they identified as neutrois. At this time (now at age 13 when he knows Misaki well), they haven’t gotten around to try anything remotely none masculine because of the ever so looming darkness that lives at their house. When they found the lavender nail polish, they picked it up on impulse and with the wild drive of wonder, they started to explore what it really felt like to do something that wasn’t forced upon him by society. And, they liked it.
Obviously, it took some time for Misaki to understand what Saru really was. He never knew that someone can be different than what they were assigned to at birth but to a great personal shock, he realized that it really didn’t matter if Saru wore skirts or went by a different set of pronouns; Saru was Saru no matter what they did, nothing would change the fact that they were friends. Yes, of course, at first Misaki didn’t understand and was bothered by the fact that boys weren’t supposed to like feminine things because that made them look “weak” but he soon got the point through his own research and answers to his questions from Saru.
Over the years, Saru got more comfortable with the aspect of being genderfluid. Their range of what he would do to express themself steadily widened once they joined Horma then finally Scepter 4.
During Homra times, Totsuka, Anna, and Misaki took it in great lengths to help Saru along with themself. Misaki was distant and attached to Mikoto, yes, but he took it in his own hands to make Saru feel more accepted. He went to Chitose and asked how to do make up because at this time, Saru hasn’t looked into that aspect of themself because gross gross stuff is sticking to my skin weirdly and people would stare, so Misaki took it upon himself to find this out because damn, Misaki can totally see Saru all prettied up like that. Totsuka came up a with a harness design for Saru’s knives that would fit under their skirt but Saru only made it once he joined Scepter 4.
Scepter 4. Oh boy. Muna has a field day one day. Aki found Saru out on the streets in his feminine clothes because it was a weekend and they weren’t required to wear their uniform that day (They wear the same uniform as in [K]. no need to change it). Aki was concerned and confused but gave Saru a gentle smile before continuing on his day. Aki ends up going back to HQ and letting Muna know since he felt that this is important for the Captain to know. Muna already knew about Saru being genderfluid (cuz Scepter 4 dad knows all) but since Aki came forward, he decided to a special meeting about the aspects of the LGBTQ+ community. Of course, he makes the meeting and requires everyone from the Special Forces to attend, especially Saru. The poor person of interest kept clicking their tongue throughout the whole meeting because they knew this came about because of them. Muna informs them on the differences between sexualities and genders, and pronouns and how to not be ignorant about these things. Dōmyōuji asked an inappropriate question and he was nearly stabbed by Saru. After that, everyone on the team at the time was respectful towards Saru and used the correct pronouns and didn’t question his motives because they didn’t want to be stabbed like Dōmyōuji.
Jungle. Basically the same as [K]. Yukari finds Saru in their room applying some green/black make up on for the day (come on. They have to match the colors of their affliction at the time, plus green does look kick ass on their.) and pretty much flips out and fangirls. Like, “omg. My child is following my ways!” All sparkly eyed and trying to get at Saru when they just raise a hand and push him away, saying that they would just go out on the mission plain and boring if he didn’t stop his nuisances. So, Yukari leaves them alone as they got ready. Everyday he keeps trying to get at Saru and their makeup but they effectively shut him down each time, not wanting to be bothered by this beauty-insane maniac and just complete their own personal mission.

i literally have no idea what marvel is gonna do in the next phase(s) bc like
you can trust them to keep milking as much money as they can for as long as they can but the actors won’t stay forever, so they have two options
either they end the mcu when the actors don’t want (and can’t be obligated to) be in the movies anymore or they get rid of the characters
bc recasting isn’t something that can be done quietly in a franchise like this and the actors (some more than others *cough* rdj) are a big part of what makes those characters so popular
the first option is the one that makes more sense and would be the best creatively-wise. (think tv shows that ran/are running for more than they should to the point that it seems like the writers don’t know what the fuck to do with the characters and/or the story anymore)
the second option is the one that makes more money. so.
anyway. to get rid of the characters they can a. kill them b. make them retire. obviously it doesn’t need to be the same to every character, and some actors may even want to stay forever and act like they don’t even need to make other movies and wHERE THE FUCK IS SHERLOCK 3
but some people are gonna have to go. and like. how many of those can you see actually retiring without it being completely ooc? trying, sure, but actually looking at your window, seeing thanos high on extremis riding a giant skull-with-tentacles robot emh style while making out with abomination and polishing loki’s horned helmet and just going “nah, i’m too tired for this shit”? i mean, there’s a reason why both tony and clint came back on cacw (and for once it’s a character - and not (just) money - related one).
so, that leaves us with two options: either they ruin your fav’s characterization or they kill them.
and like, what about after they get rid of those characters? is there gonna be someone to “inherit” their title? bc there are some comic options

iron man
- there’s rhodey, who was im for a while when tony was... dealing... with his alcoholism, but don has been there for almost as long as robert and it’s not an arc as famous as the following ones on this list (besides, it’s a bit counterproductive to rhodey’s character imo, but that’s another story)
- there’s riri williams but it’s really recent and it would have to be a really well-received plot for them to do it in the movies
thor
- there’s jane but it’s also really recent and natalie has been there for as long as chris (plus they don’t seem really interested in keeping her anyway :))) )
hulk
- there’s amadeus cho but, again, too recent (although i wouldn’t mind my one true love jennifer walters stepping in but this isn’t about all -fam characters, just legacy ones, otherwise we’d be here all day)
black widow
- there’s monica chang in the ultimate verse, which i literally just found out while writing this post while looking for something completelly unrelated. i really prefer to ignore anything ultimates but from what i gathered she took up the mantle after nat was killed by clint bc she killed his family bc she was a traitor and ultimates can fucking choke
- apparently ultimates jessica drew also became black widow but listen. if they introduce jess as anything other than spider-woman i’ll fucking riot. also, her ults self seems to be a fucking mess which. what a surprise. who would’ve expected this from this universe
hawkeye
- there’s mY GIRL KATE BISHOP, but like. cassie lang is a kid in the mcu. billy and tommy aren’t even born yet. their parents aren’t even dating. so young avengers is a no-go, i guess. unless they’re formed by her, peter and - L M A O - wanda. ahem. like, they could still make kate, and maybe even introduce some of the other ya but idk 🎶 you were all I wanted... bUT NOT LIKE THIS 🎶
they’re doing a runaways show tho, so i don’t think they plan on bringing the young avengers to the big screen. and lbr if mcu hawkeye goes, like... who cares
captain america
finally. the elephant on the room.
well, as everyone knows, there’s sam and bucky. i personally think sam should be the one to get the title but we all know that’s not what’s gonna happen, considering they shove that shield on bucky’s hand at any given opportunity in literally every movie he appears
so. steve gave up the title at the end of cacw. in a perfect world we’d get chris in either the commander rogers or the nomad uniforms but i think the captain makes more sense here (imo it’s the same sentiment as nomad with a less ridiculous costume, but anyway), and like they have a pretty good opportunity to mimic the comics where steve asks tony to make bucky become cap if he dies, considering tony has the shield now. i saw someone suggesting tony is gonna offer steve the shield back and he’s gonna refuse bc of reasons and ask him to give it to bucky instead. which is pretty fucking ridiculous and overly dramatic, but really likely to happen tbh.
are they gonna kill steve? hopefully who knows. chris’ original contract is coming to an end but some actors reportedly renewed theirs some time ago and i highly suspect he was one of them. steve did seem to not mind retiring that much in the begging of cacw tho (which????? anyway) so like
