summary: it’s early in the morning and regrettably, you and Harvey have to go to work.

You had been up early as you had a settlement meeting. You had showered and started to make breakfast, wrapped in your bathrobe. Soon Harvey, too, woke up, only to find the bed on his left side empty and cold. He left your bedroom and went to the kitchen, where it smelled heavenly - a consequence of the pancakes that you were preparing.

He leaned on the counter, just watching you, the way the orange morning light that came through the curtain wall windows of their apartment made your hair shine in a reddish tone, the way your still slightly damp skin glowed. His eyes caught the belt of your satin robe, snug around your waist, a thought forming in his mind making him smirk.

He rounded the kitchen counter, strolling up to you on bare feet. He slowly pulled you up against him, his hands slipping from your hips to the knot holding your robe together.

You relaxed against him while flipping the pancakes for one last time. "Harvey, I have to go to the office early today." You whined as you switched the stove off.

“I do too.”

“I have to be there in an hour.” You turned in his arms, hooking your arms around his neck. Your eyes found his brown ones.

“Me too. We can make it quick.” Harvey grinned.

You put your lips on his, smiling into the kiss, before pulling away. “I refuse to go into a meeting smelling like sex, darling.”

You turned around to put your pancakes on plates, taking two forks out of a drawer. You held out a plate and fork for Harvey as he groaned. “Be a good boy and I’ll find a way to make up for it tonight.” You teased.

Her husband scoffed, playfully grinning. “How about you stop being a brat and maybe I’ll go light on the punishment tonight, sweetheart.” He countered before he took a fork of pancake, soaked in maple syrup, and guided it to your lips. You took it into your mouth, never breaking eye contact.

“Mhh.” You hummed.
