Headcanon: Hubert Realizing He Loves You Would Be Like...

Hubert had never really thought about dating or getting married. He thought he would be devoted to one person and one person only: Edlegard. However, when he met you, everything changed.

He first noticed how his eyes drift to you when you are around him. He also finds himself searching for you in crowds. Hubert scolds himself for losing focus but finds he can't stop himself from ensuring you are unharmed after a battle.

Edelgard would notice a change in Hubert immediately. At first, she would tease him about his crush on you. Hubert would deny his feelings for you and try to keep you out of his thoughts. Edelgard would notice that Hubert would still perform all his duties to perfection, but something was different about him. Edelgard would push him to take you on a date.

It was after your first date that Hubert knew you were special. You seemed to understand him better than anyone else, and he knew he wanted to spend more time with you. After a couple more dates, Hubert would like to make it official: the two of you would be a couple.

It would take Hubert a long time to realize he loves you. At first, it would be an unfamiliar feeling that he would look forward to seeing you after a long day or the way his heart practically stops when he loses sight of you during a battle. At first, he would ignore these feelings, but then he would want to know why he was having those feelings. That research would lead him to the word love.

Once he realized he loved you, he wouldn't say anything to you right away. He would want to explore what he was feeling to make sure his love for you was real.

Hubert would find himself spending less time working. He would get everything done but wouldn't work himself into the ground. He would just want to spend as much time with you as possible.

Hubert would try to plan how to tell you that he loves you, but every time he was ready, something would come up, go wrong, or he would chicken out.

In one particular battle, Hubert's hand was forced. It was complete chaos. Hubert wasn't able to keep an eye on you and Edelgard both. He decided to stick with Edelgard but couldn't help but look for you between enemies. It was a tough battle, but eventually, it came to an end. Knowing that Edelgard was fine, Hubert began looking for you. He found you on the ground, injured.

Hubert immediately got help for you. He regretted leaving you alone during battle. He couldn't believe you were injured on his watch. You were severely injured, but the healers confirmed you would pull through. He knew he needed to tell you he loved you as soon as possible. He never knew that you could have been taken away from him so easily. When you awoke, Hubert was there with too many emotions to count swimming in his eyes. His first words to you were, "I love you".

♡ Like some of the others on this list, Shura is a bit afraid to get all snuggly with you.

♡ He's fond of cuddling, but with his reputation and nature as a thief, he doesn't want you to eventually regret all the hours you've spent so close together and deems himself somewhat unworthy of your affection.

♡ Funnily enough, though, he's the one to initiate cuddles.

♡ He often pulls you into his arms and simply treasures you. His girl, the one thing nobody can ever take from him.

♡ He puts his entire heart into making sure you're as warm and comfortable as possible.

♡ Being the big spoon or little spoon doesn't matter to him, he likes to protect and also feel protected from the harsh world you two reside in.

♡ He enjoys sweet talking you as you two nestle in each other's arms, just letting you know how grateful he is for you.

♡ You'll commonly hear him comment on how a rugged thief like him doesn't know how he scored you, but you're always there to silence him with kisses.

♡ He'll wrap you up in his clothes so you can smell like him even after you two finish your session.

HUBERT

♡ Hubert is someone who enjoys a nondistracting cuddle as he works, you relaxing in his lap as his quill scribbles away at his scrolls.

♡ He'll use his free hand to give your cheek a little brush every once in a while, or peck your cheek if he senses that you need a kiss.

♡ He's here to indulge your every need, so long as it benefits you, so if you're a cuddly one he'll gladly snuggle with you. He's devoted to you and would be a liar if he claimed that he doesn't enjoy your warmth.

♡ He's naturally quite cold to the touch, so when the temperature drops he'll drink in as much of your warmth as possible, preferring to sleep snuggled up with you as opposed to separate sides of the bed.

♡ Cuddling is something foreign to him, but he's a fast learner, and will likely mimic your movements and pick up on things you enjoy. If you relish in having your hair ruffled or being the little spoon, he'll make your wishes come true.

♡ Enjoys reading stories to you to coax you into sleeping peacefully in his arms.

LON'QU

♡ Lon'qu honestly avoids cuddling at first. He's comfortable around you, but he's also terrified of being so... vulnerable with a woman.

♡ He always has an excuse to refrain from bundling up, and one day, he finally admits that he's inexperienced and somewhat nervous to do so.

♡ That's when you lock him into a warm embrace and feel him tense around you, before he relaxes in your grip. He lets out a sigh, and just turns to mush.

♡ He becomes a cuddling monster soon after.

♡ While still vaguely stiff and unsure of what to do with his hands or legs most of the time, he realizes what he's been missing out on his whole life, and finds it a great way to destress after a long day of vigorous training.

♡ He loves to rub circles on your skin, covered in fabric or left bare, he feels so close to you and can feel the joy radiating from you in waves.

♡ You may even spot the slightest smile gracing his features if he's caught off guard enough.

♡ Gently massaging his scars is a good way to see him crack a smile.

♡ Call him petnames and talk to him to break the comfortable silence and he'll fold. Hearing his favorite girl call him handsome or beloved as your limbs are tied in knots together makes him absolutely crumble.

DIMITRI

♡ Dimitri is intimidated by being so close to a human body with how fragile they can be, so when he cuddles you for the first few times he treats you as if you're a goddess made of glass.

♡ His touches and kisses are featherlight, handling you with utmost care.

♡ Eventually you have to encourage him to tighten his grip, to kiss with a little more force, to truly show his devotion to you with zero fear.

♡ To which he obliges. Once he conquers his anxieties, he's smooching you from head to toe, arms suffocating you in adorable bear hugs.

♡ Can and will wrap you in his cloak by the fireplace in your shared quarters.

♡ Dimitri will cuddle you anywhere, anytime. He's fond of showing his affection to his beloved while taking strolls, and will gladly take a seat on a bench to absorb every inch of you.

♡ If you play with his hair he'll melt. Whether you braid it or run your fingers through it, and after a long day try to sort through the knots with your fingers. he'll be beet red and overflowing with lovey dovey feelings.

FELIX

♡ Felix is like a cat at first, hisses at the slightest touch but before you know it he's curled up in your lap, breathing synchronized with yours.

♡ He may scoff when you pepper him with kisses or intertwine your fingers with his, but he secretly lives for it.

♡ Like Dimitri, his weakness is his lover playing with his hair. Let his hair down and bury your face in it, you won't regret it.

♡ A big fan of hand holding, and comparing hand sizes as you do so. Whether yours are smaller, larger, the same size - he could gaze at your hands connected with his all day and all night.

♡ He isn't a fan of cuddling in public places, but boy does he relax when you two go to secluded wild areas, like a flower field. He's fond of holding hands under tables too, letting you rest your head on his shoulder if you grow weary.

♡ His guard is always up during cuddle time so you may have to hush him and reassure him that nobody will catch him like this, it's just you and him. He appreciates it, and appreciates how warm and soft you feel flush against his scars and bruises from combat.

i love how fucking weird the fire emblem three houses / hopes cast is. i love how it would (and it does!) take effort for them to understand each other's perspectives. i love how they clash and align. i love how through interpretation or headcanon that every character has the believable intelligence that grasping another's needs and motivations, even when they disagree with them, is not an unreasonable supposition. they're so diverse and fun.

it was the odd feeling in the back of your mind that made you speak up in the first place. or at least, you had thought so, their behavior certainly did nothing to ease your concerns, being distant and feeling like they were hiding something from you.

You almost wished you were a pious type, perhaps a prayer to the goddess would help you in someway, especially as the bad feeling lingered for much longer. instead you sucked it up, and confronted them. "i know you won't tell me what's going on, and quite frankly i don't know if i'll be able to understand either. but just, be careful, okay? whatever you're doing, don't get yourself killed."

Edelgard will barely hide her surprise at your words, but just barely. a part of her feels guilty for hiding her plans from you. but she had been planning this for so long. She'll wonder if you knew anything about her plans, and if so, how much? Would you remain at her side if she told you?

The princess sees that you're waiting for any kind of response, despite the worry of your expression, you patiently wait for her to answer. To say something, anything. At least in hopes that it will dispel any concerns or suspicions. But you know better than that when it takes a moment, only slightly, to finally come up with what she hoped was appropriate.

She's tempted to tell you, truly. Trusting you enough to get as close as she did, and to even let you in too. But any potential reaction of yours still worries her greatly.

While the thoughts continue to gnaw at her, Edelgard will instead she gives a graceful smile, one you know is facetious at best. Edelgard will also take your hand (if you allow it) giving what she hopes is an assuring squeeze, "It's nothing to worry about." She'll lie.

She'll lie and pray you forgive her when the day comes that you both stand at opposing sides of the battlefield.

Hubert, to no one's shock, is able to hide his surprise to your question far more adequately than Edelgard could. As someone who's learned to school his features into cool indifference in less than a blink of an eye. His eyes meet your own, an unspoken question underneath it all.

While Edelgard might have possibly hesitated in hiding the truth of her plans to her s/o, Hubert, on the other hand, is much more ready to lie in order to aid her majesty. (Red flag alert here, get outta there bestie /lh)

Maybe he'll feel a little bit guilty about the lie, but he's one of those "for the greater good" kind of fellows, so he won't feel as guilty for it when he thinks that what they're fighting for will help the world as a whole.

If there is an inkling however, to your allegiances shifting more towards Edelgard's, then maybe that's when he'll tell you the truth. But for now, he takes your words with what Hubert's version of a smile is (the corner of his mouth lifting only slightly). "I promise you I am no reckless fool," He hopes to assure, but he knows doubt when he sees it. So a much more foolish part of himself will try to enjoy the closeness he has with you while he can, before it's ruined.

I love and appreciate many things about Hubert von Vestra, but my favorite is that he uses excessively big fancy words in one of the only mediums where the dialogue is fully voiced AND written out in front of me. I am finally hearing how to pronounce so many words I've only ever seen written before. Thanks for the language lessons Hubert!

Pokemon Scarlet/Violet - Voice Actor Headcanons.

So here’s the latest update of this little series on my blog where I assign official voice actors to characters that don’t have them. I also did this with the previous title, Legends: Arceus.

I have to reiterate the same points every time, but it’s just so we’re all aware -

This is NOT CANON. These are HEADCANONS and are unofficial. It’s just a hypothetical situation. If the characters were voiced, this is who I imagine would voice them.

I think fire emblem three houses should get a sequel. At least for Crimson Flower. Let me give you my pitch:

Imagine Edelgard winning against Rhea. Her, Hubert and Byleth rejoice and celebrate as they're destroyed the "decadent church" and brought order back to society . (This is their POV, not necessarily the truth).

Now, fast forward some couple hundred years. The Empire that Edelgard successfully made is now beginning to crack. Her successors have not been nearly as charismatic as her, and the cracks are beginning to show. One day, a rebellion forms; a rebellion hoping to destroy the empire. The rebellions are all put down, but there's only so long that can keep happening. There's rumours that Seteth and Flayn are involved in these new rebellions, but no proof. (Byleth spared them years ago, and it's now coming back to bite them).

Our main character for this game/story would be a Skywalker type figure (I don't watch star wars really, but I know the characters well enough to say this). Someone the rebellions leaders choose to rally behind.

To quote a comment I saw on one of my previous posts about this (I asked permission, but I'm impatient and wrote this before their response): "So you know that line where Dimitri says the Blaiddyd bloodline will live on even if he dies? There’s your main character". Thank you, @bummedoutbutstillalive you took my idea and made it a lot better. Thank you!

So there's my pitch for why I think Crimson Flower is ripe with potential for a sequel! I don't know if I have the writing skills to do anything with my idea, but I needed to share it! Thank you for listening!

The castle was buzzing with activity as the soldiers prepared for battle strategies and training. Among them Hubert walked, his usual stoic demeanor in place as he navigated through the crowd. His mind, however, was preoccupied with thoughts of a certain individual - you, his closest confidant and dearest friend.

Over the years, you and Hubert had become inseparable, your shared experiences and mutual support forging an unbreakable bond. As you approached him, a soft smile playing on your lips, he couldn't help but feel a flutter in his chest.

"Good morning, Hubert," you greeted, your voice carrying a warmth that washed over him like sunlight.

Hubert nodded in acknowledgement, his gaze fixed on you. "Good morning. Are you ready for today's tasks?"

You laughed lightly, the sound bringing a minuscule to his face. "As ready as I'll ever be. But before we get started, can we talk for a moment?"

Curiosity mixed with a hint of trepidation coursed through Hubert's veins. "Of course. What's on your mind?"

You motioned for him to follow as you led him to a secluded spot, away from prying eyes and curious ears. Taking a deep breath, you turned to face him, your eyes searching his.

"Hubert, we've been through so much together," you began, your voice steady yet filled with emotion. "We've laughed, fought, and supported each other in ways that words can't express. And in the midst of it all, I realized something."

Hubert's heart quickened, a small smile crossing his face as he realized where this conversation was going. "What is it?"

A tender smile graced your lips as you reached out, gently taking his hand in yours. "Hubert, I've fallen in love with you. You've become such an important part of my life, and I can't imagine it without you."

Hubert couldn't help a chuckle at your words. He wasn't laughing at your confession, just that you were confessing to him of all people. Not that he particularly minded.

"I see. And you're asking me what, exactly?" There's a teasing tone to his voice. He knows what you're asking, but he wants to hear you say it.

You stepped closer, the space between you disappearing. "Hubert, would you be willing to take a chance on us? To explore what might blossom between us?"

A myriad of emotions flickered across Hubert's face as his smile widened a bit more, not caring about showing you that emotion. "Yes. I would enjoy to explore this new relationship with you further."

A smile crossed your face at his acceptance - as if he was going to disagree - and you couldn't stop yourself from pulling him into a hug. While the physical affection isn't something he cares for, he makes an exception as he holds you close to him too.
