(Pokemon SV) Love Languages

Professor Sada and Turo - Gift Giving

It sure ain’t quality time- Normally the professors are too into their projects to really acknowledge anything else, but if they have time they like to give you gifts. Usually they get you stuffed animals and clothes, but occassionally they will let you foster a pokemon from a different time period. It helps keep you company while they are gone. After being together for a certain period of time, they will even give you a special device that lets you talk to an AI of them, that way you aren’t as lonely

Clavell - Words of Affirmation

Clavell is very old fashioned when it comes to love. I’m talking chocolates, candlelit dinners, all that jazz. But his absolute favorite thing to do is use his words. He loves to just tell you how much he loves you as often as possible, so that you never forget. Any little thing you do will be met with appreciation. Clavell is so used to this that he has accidentally done this while you were both working a few times (gaining a lot of hoots and hollers from students)

Jacq - Physical Touch

Jacq is a simple man, cuddling is the way to his heart. He loves nothing more than to come home from work and fall into your arms on the couch. The warmth from you is the best feeling in the world, especially during winter. The more skin touching the better in his opinion. When you can’t cuddle, he loves just doing soft PDA like holding hands and kissing your cheeks. Also, Jacq tends to sleep in a bit (not on purpose usually) and is definitely the type to hold you in bed and beg you to just stay. Just 5 more minutes!

Miriam - Words of Affirmation

Miriam is naturally pretty confident about most things, but knows how it feels to not be. Her whole ordeal with becoming a Health Teacher highlighted her troubles with it. So she loves to shower you with not only affection and appreciation, but also encouragment. Sometimes she will bring up things you’ve forgotton about. No matter what you do or pursue in life, Miriam will be behind you cheering you the whole way!

Tyme - Quality Tyme

Pun aside, Tyme really enjoys doing different activites with you. She will often look online and ask friends about couple activities you two can do together. Some of her favorite things to do with you are cooking, yoga, and nature walks. If you have any suggestions she is ALWAYS open for new things! As long as you are doing it together she’s fine. Also, work can get overwhelming for her so spending some quality time with you always mellows her out. She dreads leaving for work everyday, but anticipates getting home to you

Raifort - Words of Affirmation

One thing that Raifort prioritizes in life is verbal communication. Especially when it comes to your passions in life. Having someone listen to and be interested in her rants about history makes her feel on top of the world. So whenever you infodump or just get super passionate she listens intently. Raifort will always listen to you and give you advice, and of course just... well, listen! She likes to bring up your previous conversations and compliment you on how in depth you were, or how interesting you made them sound. Communication is her best way of loving you

Salvatore - Words of Affirmation

As a language teacher, he expresses everything through words. He will string together beautiful sentences just describing how much he loves you. As he tells in his class, it’s important to tell others how you feel and how you care. So he’ll always vocalize his appreciation for whatever you do! Salvatore also enjoys mixing in different languages as a special treat (especially if you love how he sounds when he does)

Dendra - Physical Touch

As both a gym teacher and a physical trainer, Dendra adores physical touch! She loves holding you and touching you and everything inbetween. Her favorite thing to do is exercise with you and do couple activities. Unlike most, her touches are more rough, but in a comforting way. You can always count on her to be sturdy and strong. No matter what happens, she will always be there to catch you or pull you up into a tight hug

Hassel - Words of Affirmation

Oh my fucking god this man won’t SHUT UP (affectionate). No matter what you do he is ready to talk your ear off. Do something well? Expect a rush of compliments and praise. Feel sad or insecure? Expect a rant about how you are as strong as a dragon and shouldn’t give up! It can be a bit... much, but it comes from a place of love and adoration. When he isn’t going on full rants, Hassel also enjoys just simply telling you he loves you. Especially when you are cuddling, he loves hitting you with those 3 words softly

Saguaro - Acts of Service

Saguaro will do pretty much anything for you. Cooking meals? Patching holes in your clothing? Doing the laundry? Giving you a deep massage? This man is on it! He even makes sure to pack you lunch every day. You may feel bad, but he assures you he is doing this of his own volition. Saguaro loves to do things for you as a way of expressing his love. All he wants is for you to be comfy, relaxed, and happy! Sometimes when you come home from a long day, you’ll see a set of fresh clothes on the bed and a bath ready for you (you could get him to join you if you convince him~)

Arven - Quality Time

After being neglected for his entire childhood, Arven really appreciates someone who will just be with him of their own will. If someone goes to his dorm/house on purpose just to spend time with him? He might cry. It is one of the main pillars in his mind for a good relationship, and extends the same priorities to you. The moment you ask him to come over he is already halfway there, sandwich in hand. Arven obviously loves to cook together (even teach you if you ask) but he also loves to read manga together. He may have his issues, but just make sure to be there for him, he will be thankful for the rest of his life

Nemona - Pokemon Battling Quality Time

We all know how clingy Nemona is, and when you start dating it just gets WORSE. She will barely leave your side and will always want to do things with you. She just loves spending time with you she loves you so much!! Spending time together is incredibly important to her, it really makes her feel like you love her. If you tell her to back off she will, but you can expect lots of pouting and lots of hugs when you see her next. And don’t get me started on Pokemon Battling...

Penny - Quality Time

Penny is very introverted and doesn’t really like most things that go into a relationship. She isn’t one for physical contact, she doesn’t like gifts, she’s socially awkward so she can’t express herself, and doing things for her don’t mean much. The one thing that she surprisingly enjoys the most is quality time. After being a recluse for so long she never thought she would want to spend time with someone else, but after meeting you it changed. Penny knows she can be a bit withdrawn, but a good way to know she cares is if she just stays in the same room as you (kind of like a cat). Playing games in comfortable silence or watching an anime together is her favorite way to spend time together (she will need to recharge afterwards, but genuinely enjoys what you do together)

Giacomo - Words of Affirmation

Giacomo may love holding you close, but his favorite way to show his love is by showing his appreciation as often as possible. He never got much appreciation in his life, especially during his run of student council president. It felt awful, so he wants to make sure you never feel like that. He loves to have your input on his songs, and will always thank you profusely for your help, often times adding a special credit in the description. Giacomo loves to shower you in praise, but if you do the same to him? He’s putty in your hands, he will do basically anything for you

Mela - Quality Time

Mela has a hard time keeping relationships. Being bullied has made her hard and cold, but the way to melt her heart is to just... be there for her. She’ll be difficult at first, but eventually she will get emotional once she realizes how long you’ve stayed by her side. It means the world that despite her stubborness you stuck by. And this is also how she shows love to you. She doesn’t know what to do in relationships, so she likes to just spend time with you. Often times she just prefers sitting in comfortable silence watching a movie, that’s the dream. And maybe you could convince her to hold your hand every now and then

Atticus - Gifts

Even before you got together Atticus gave you tons of gifts. It’s his favorite way to show he cares, both romantically and platonically (just ask the rest of Team Star). He always listens very carefully when you talk, always taking notes when you mention something you desire. His specialty is sewing custom clothes for you, but he will also just buy small accessories he found in stores that he thought would look cute on you. If he’s feeling especially romantic, he will even write eloquent poems for you

Ortega - Gifts

I mean... is this even a question? He’s a spoiled lil rich boy, of course he will shower you with gifts! It doesn’t even have to be a special occassion, sometimes he just surprises you with a gift randomly. It may seem like he’s just materialistic, but everything he buys you has a reason. You once broke a shoe so now he bought you 30 pairs, you like tea so he bought you a gold-plated fancy tea set, you like monkeys so he bought you a zoo. It is definitely a lot, but that’s just how Ortega shows how much he loves you. He wants to spend his money on you, in his eyes you deserve the world

Eri - Acts of Service

Eri is already well known to be a defender for her friends, but with you she is on high alert. You are so special, you can’t do anything that may hurt you! She’ll help you with whatever you are doing, sometimes doing it for you before hand. Eri doesn’t want you to burn your hand cooking so why not do it herself! She loves to do things for you, big or small, no questions asked. It’s the best way to show love in her eyes. Sometimes you may need to remind her to just relax and sit down for a few minutes, but rest assured she will be back up in no time

Katy - Acts of Service

While Katy loves to give you pastries as gifts, she mostly enjoys doing things for you in general. Whenever you forget your lunch she will happily cook it for you. If you have plants she will always water them and keep them healthy. Scared of bugs and you have a giant Spidops in your house? She’ll help take it outside (while also teasing you a bit). Katy will even train your pokemon if you don’t have the time to do it yourself. Seeing your smile when you see the special macarons she put in your lunch makes her heart so full and warm

Brassius - Gifts

As an artist, Brassius shows his love thought his work. You are the perfect inspiration, the golden ratio of subjects! Everytime he looks at you he gets new ideas and inspirations for art projects. And any gifts he creates for you have special meaning behind them. Paintings of the place of your first date, a casting of your hands holding each other, even just origami of your favorite flowers. Brassius will always create things for you, purely out of love and adoration

Iono - Quality Time

Being a streamer, Iono spends a LOT of time online. It’s her job she kinda doesn’t have a choice. So when you got together she felt conflicted on what to do. Whenever she isn’t streaming she loves to just hang out with and go on dates, but what about all the other times? Well, she’ll just bring you on stream! In her mind she has the best of both worlds. She can spend her day with her beloved and still get those sweet sweet views, baby. But trust her when she says she isn’t doing it just for the clout, she just really likes you a whole lot

Kofu - Acts of Service

Even thought Kofu is pretty much every love language rolled into one, his favorite way to show love is acts of service! He loves to make you the best seafood dishes known in town, always using the best ingredients. No less for his partner! He’ll also do shopping for you every week (as long as he doesn’t forget his wallet on the way). Even little things like cleaning out the fridge he will happily do. Although he mainly does acts of service, don’t think Kofu doesn’t love all the other languages! Give him a hug god dammit!!

Larry - Physical Touch

Larry is a simple man, and is the same when it comes to love. He says he loves you and buys you flowers, but those just feel like basic requirements. Not to say he doesn’t mean well, but to him, true love comes with contact. He’s not good with words, so instead he touches you. He hugs you from behind while you work, he holds your hand constantly, places his hand on your lower back, stuff like that. He may not say it often, but when he touches you ever so gently, you know he loves you

Ryme - Words of Affirmation

Ryme is a rapper, words and speaking her mind are kind of her thing. No matter what you do, she will always make sure to properly thank you and express her gratitude. Even if you just make some scrambled eggs for her she will never forget to thank you. Ryme wants you to know that she adores everything you do, and she loves you is so many ways. When she isn’t telling you straight out that she appreciates you, Ryme will write several raps about it and perform them for you

Tulip - Quality Time

Being a makeup artist and a gym leader doesn’t give Tulip a lot of time alone, so when she manages to get some, she spends it with you! She loves to try new makeup products on you or grooming your pokemon, but honestly even just being in the same room with you is enough. There is something about just... existing with you that makes her happy. You can both work on separate projects and it will still feel special. Tulip knows she isn’t around much, that’s why quality time together means so much to her

Grusha - Physical Touch

Grusha is someone that hates the cold. And do you know what you have? HEAT. And Grusha is not ashamed to steal that heat. When he isn’t using you as a human heater, Grusha still likes to just be in contact with you. He especially loves using his hands. Holding hands, stroking your face, running his fingers through your hair, all that good stuff. Words can be confusing and misconstrued, so why not ignore all that and just kiss?

Rika - Words of Affirmation

Rika can be a bit of a tease, as she loves to push your buttons and poke fun. But this all comes from a place of love, and she never forgets to genuinely thank you for what you do. Thanking you for last nights dinner, thanking you for the flowers you got her, etc. She also adores complimenting you. Not just because she wants you to know how awesome you are, but also to see the blush on your face. It’s so cute how quickly you become a flustered mess around her. It’s one of the greatest pleasures in her life

Geeta - Words of Affirmation

Geeta thrives off of giving affirmation. Especially to her loved ones, like you! Before you got together she already complimented you on your battling skills, but once you were a couple she shifted into complimenting and acknowledging the little things about you. Your creativity with date ideas, your fashion sense, even your choice in air fresheners. She adores making you smile and always goes out of her way to express her gratitude as often as possible so you never forget

FINALLY I WROTE THIS AFTER 2 AND A HALF DAYS!!

Whew... I'm sorry for it being so late on this one.

But I did my best after being inspired by this wonderful art. Thank you @k-chips and @zomandfriends and @wyrdle .

Also this is based off @k-chips 's Dadvell AU yes xD

Thank you for reading and I hope you like it. I apologize for any errors as well.

Under the cut cause it's a bit long and also spoilers.

EDIT: I forgot to add some important tags I'm so sorry also some information cause I rushed to post this and I'm forgetful

Title: But what about you?

Tyme walked through the hallways to speak to Clavell at his office. Everything was going well so far she thought to herself. Everything was going smoothly and even issues that rose were quickly fixed and resolved. She was happy to report to Clavell that there were many willing volunteers to help set up for the first Academy Ace Tournament this Friday and the participants for the battles itself have all signed up.

But as she opened the door to the Director's office, she saw the one last big issue to resolve.

Clavell continuously paced around his office. Back and forth, back and forth, over and over again. He stopped and looked like he thought of something.

Then he grumbled and began pacing around again.

Tyme sighed to herself... There was indeed one last thing that had to be dealt with first.

And perhaps she's the only one who can resolve this problem.

She approached Clavell who kept going and going, as he didn't realize who was already there next to him.

"Director...." Tyme began.

"And there's still the board meeting...." Clavell muttered to himself as he walked away, not noticing Tyme.

"Director Clavell..." Tyme repeated herself as she walked to follow him.

"The Tournament is this Friday... I still need to get a speech prepared..."

"Clavell."

"But of course... I still need to provide more support for Arven and his friends..."

"Clavell!"

"Oh!" Clavell quickly turned to see that Tyme was standing next to him with her hands at her hips and looked at him with the most annoyed expression.

"M-Miss Tyme..." The flustered director spoke, "My goodness... I didn't see you come in... How long were you--?"

"I just got here, Director Clavell...." Tyme shook her head. She could feel the tension within him.

"I must apologize then, Miss Tyme.." Clavell bowed at her, "I have been quite busy with various affairs."

"I'm sure you are, Clavell..." Tyme sighed as she dropped the title, "Though I believe you may have overloaded yourself with too many affairs."

"... Do you think I have?" Clavell wondered, a lot of events have occurred in this school year alone after all. But he was the director, a lot of things are his responsibility.

"Definitely." Tyme nodded, "You need to take care of yourself once in a while, Clavell. You won't be able to help anyone in your state. "

"I suppose you're right but I..." Clavell paused for a moment as he thought of what he needed to do. "Ever since I found out the truth about Team Star and around two years ago... I have to make sure these kids are doing well for themselves now and the school isn't giving them too much trouble ...."

"Yes ..." Tyme did not want to be reminded of that shame she felt when she was told of the truth behind the entire incident. But she has noticed then that the Team's members have started coming back to classes and have been opening up to the teachers and other students... Especially her student, Penny...

"Then the Academy Ace Tournament is this Friday... We need to make sure everything is set up and we got the proper permissions for the location and the shops..."

"Of course..." Tyme and various volunteers have already gotten the permissions needed to set up the Tournament. Chairwoman Geeta already compiled it all for them. She wanted to tell him this, but the man kept on pacing...

"Jacq needs assistance in his classes and his Pokedex as these Paradox Pokemon that Sada brought in have a lot of information to bring up and even to other Pokemon Professors..."

"That's not a rush then is it?" Tyme tried to reassure him, at least to lessen the burden.

"Speaking of Sada, and the Paradox Pokemon..." Clavell already changed the topic as the thought of the incident that happened a couple of months ago, "Dear Arceus... Those kids... I still need to check up on them and their well-being... A couple of months have passed already, I dearly hope that they are still doing okay since then..."

"I'm sure they're doing all right, Clavell..." Tyme remembers seeing the four students in question, enjoying each other's company and having quite a loud yet joyful chat in the cafeteria yesterday. She was quite happy to see that.

"But also Arven...." Clavell clutched his head as he counted in his mental checklist, "I have been worried for him since the incident in Area Zero.... When we found out that his mother had been gone far longer than we realized, then down there to meet the AI and... And..."

"Clavell!" Tyme had grasped his shoulders firmly, and jolted the man awake from his self induced trance, "For Arceus's sake, settle down."

"I... I apologize..." Clavell muttered.

"I know you have a lot to do, but please take care of yourself first." Tyme pleaded with him with the softest look possible, "I worry about you."

"I..." Clavell felt his face heat up by that. "I'm really sorry Tyme... For making you worry for me."

"You've gone through a lot under a span of a year, even more than anyone should." Tyme reassured him again, "You don't have to be sorry for this."

"I know but I..." Clavell began to remember his mental checklist again, "I feel like there is still much more to do..."

Tyme sighed, here we go again.

"I still need to check on the kids...." Clavell counted, "And Arven... He still needs my help, I need to be there for him more..."

"Clavell..." Tyme spoke softly.

"I'll also still need to talk with Team Star, I want to make sure they're doing well too..." He counted it again.

"They're all right...." She reassured him again even though it fell on deaf ears.

"Jacq needs help as well..." Once again he does it.

"That can wait. Even though he knows it's not a priority..." She continued.

"Then there's the tournament... I can't just leave it..."

By then, Tyme had enough and pulled the man to her and enveloped her arms around him, hugging him so tight.

"But what about you?" She says to his ear, "You silly old fool..."

"Tyme... I..."

"I've said it before and I'll say it again... You need to take care of yourself. If you don't then I will... For your sake ..."

"Tyme..." Clavell repeated, as he was unsure of what to say or do. "You don't have to..."

"But I want to." Tyme answered back, "You need this. At least for now..."

Clavell could feel the tears well up in his eyes as he brought his hands upward to return the hug she had given him... "Yes... Yes, please... And thank you."

The two remained like this for a good while as Clavell quietly sobbed as he grasped Tyme's sweater. He was grateful to have her around at his moment of weakness and felt himself relax for once. Tyme rubbed circles on his back as she, herself tried to hold back her own emotions. She hated seeing him like this. When she found out about everything this poor man had gone through in just the course of this school year, she brought it to herself to accompany him more and help him more than ever. It was the best thing she could think of right now. So despite it all, she was relieved that she could finally help him.

As the two finally went silent, Clavell sighed, "Thank you Miss Tyme... I needed that..."

"Good! Now that wasn't so bad, is it?" The two let go of their hug but their hands still on each other. Then the two stiffened.

The realization that they're so close to each other had clicked in for them and they have once again fallen into silence.

"I...umm..." Clavell was the first to speak, with his face flushed red and his hands letting go of Tyme's waist, "Th-thank you Miss Tyme... For that support..."

"O-of course..." Tyme felt her face heat up, and her heart skipped a beat... she never really realized how... good looking... Clavell is up close like this...

"Is there something else wrong, Miss Tyme?" Clavell managed to speak as he felt his own heart rate speed up after being so close to her like this. "You still have your hands on my shoulders..."

"Oh... oh! I... I apologize, Director Clavell!" Tyme quickly removed her hands from him as she felt flustered, "I'm... I'm just glad to help!"

"Of course!" Clavell gave her a soft smile, as he still felt relaxed and happy to be by her side. "If you have time then, shall we have some tea?"

"That would be wonderful!" Tyme smiled at him back. The two are simply delighted to have each other at this time of vulnerability.

"Oh... My... Arceus....." Penny muttered as she peeked through the office door. She was actually there to try to meet up with Director Clavell to talk to him about the STCs and its steady progress and various records with it. But instead she had just witnessed something she definitely wished she could have recorded.

"Well... This can wait..." She said to herself as she slowly closed the door as silently as possible to not get their attention, "Priority one is to gossip this to Riley, Arven, and Nemona.... They're gonna be so happy to hear about this!"

She then silently walked away from the office ready to head back to her friends.

I mean if being called Ryme and Tyme didn't tip them off... Also they have variation (skintone, body type, eye shape, etc) that doesn't make them look like copy pastes. I didn't even realise this until I looked because honestly they had twinning names so I assumed they'd be functionally identical!

I'm surprised. Twins with 3D models and easiest thing to cut corners on lmao

some paldean e4 silliness - before the other professors know who Poppy is, they mistakenly assume she's an adult, because Hassel talks about her like he does his other peers. Hassel mentions showing his coworker Poppy a new card game, but doesn't mention that it was like Go Fish or Uno. he brings her to lunch with Salvatore or something and Salvatore does a little double-take before he's like 'how merveilleux to meet the esteemed Ms Poppy! enchanté, Hassel speaks very highly of you!'

This is such a cute idea and I can totally see this happening lol.

Academy Staff Meeting Poppy Surprise!

It never crosses Hassel’s mind that how he talks about Poppy could be misleading. He knows her as a brilliant child and a powerful Elite Four member. The fact that one may imagine her differently from tales of her antics is not even a possibility to him. Poppy’s art skills are beyond her age just like her battling skills. The drawings and doodles that Hassel shows off appear as the heartfelt, if amateurish, product of a young adult. It’s a frequent occurrence to hear Hassel praising the Steel-type specialist in the teacher’s lounge. Whether she destroyed another combatant with her beloved Tinkaton or put away enough food to rival Larry. Even the off-handed complaint that he may throw his back out if he gives the girl another piggyback ride doesn’t raise any eyebrows. If anything, his colleagues think Poppy is an adult who is in touch with her inner child.

Jacq

When he sees Poppy, he lets out a startled, “Wuh?” Beyond that, he takes the surprise in stride. Jacq is a great teacher who is well-liked by his students, so he defaults to treating Poppy as if she was one of his younger students. He shares his confusion openly with both Hassel and Poppy. She must be a truly exceptional trainer if she’s a part of the Elite Four at her age. Poppy likes Jacq, because he’s nice but also because he trips a lot, and she thinks it’s funny.

Salvatore

You are spot on with Salvatore’s reaction. He’s much more subtle than Jacq. If you didn’t know him well, you wouldn’t even notice that he was taken off guard. Much to Hassel’s dismay, he shows her how to blow the wrapper off her straw, and they both shoot the flimsy projectile at the unamused art teacher. Whenever the Elite Four go out to dinner, she repeats the action with Larry or Hassel as her target. Salvatore laughs about it the next time Hassel scolds him for showing her that little trick.

Miriam

She doesn’t hide her surprise. “Woah! You’re a cute little thing, huh? No wonder you’re so tough.” Hassel ends up on the wayside as Miriam and Poppy bond. There’s some playful ribbing from Miriam towards him for “trying to trick her” but ultimately, most of her attention is on Poppy. After meeting Miriam, the youngest Elite Four member is brought back home with a bright smile and hair full of colorful ribbons and bows. The next day, Miriam approaches Hassel with a box full of her old clothes from when she was a kid. She’s certain Poppy would love them.

Dendra

Her eyebrows shoot to her hairline, but only for a split second. She follows up with an exuberant “Osu! It’s nice to meet you, Little Poppy!” The two get along like a house on fire. If there is one person who can match Poppy’s energy, it’s Dendra. The whole meeting is spent with Dendra running laps, Poppy settled on her shoulders, chattering a mile a minute. Hassel takes this time to relax in the shade. He gets thirty minutes before he’s pulled into Dendra’s exercise routine.

Tyme

She already knows that Poppy is a child from her sister's accounts. Such a powerful trainer packed into a bite-sized punch, Tyme's more than happy to meet the girl. Their meeting starts off a bit boring to Poppy, mostly asking if Poppy likes working at the league and if she has any friends there. As soon as Tyme asks if she’d like to battle, Poppy perks up. It’s been a while since Tyme was a Gym Leader, so she’s a bit rusty. It’s just as fun as she remembers, though she still wouldn’t give up teaching for the world.

Raifort

Out of everyone, she is the most disappointed. While Raifort is a teacher, young children are not her preferred company. She is incredibly awkward the entire time and shoots Hassel a glare out of the corner of her eye. Most of the conversation revolves around Paldean history. Poppy may be young, but she’s not stupid and picks up on this. While Raifort treats her kindly, there’s a level of distance. Poppy doesn’t like her much, though the older Poppy gets, the more Raifort will be comfortable with her on a personal level. She’s a bright girl with a lot of potential.

Saguaro

The food he made for the picnic that he was supposed to go on with Hassel and Poppy is not fit for a child’s palate. That’s his first concern. He gracefully apologizes to Poppy and asks if she would prefer him to head back into town and pick something up for her. Perhaps chicken nuggets or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? He's pleasantly surprised when Poppy happily eats the food he brought. She finds out cilantro tastes like soap though. Saguaro and Hassel explain that depending on genetics, people taste it differently. Poppy becomes fixated on finding out what her coworkers taste after that. She gets him a Tinkaton patch for his apron!

Clavell

Like Tyme, Clavell is already familiar with Poppy, though he’s met her before this point. He has also been designated the Grandpa title along with Hassel. He asks her how meeting some of the teachers at the academy went and is pleased to find it went well. (He’s not surprised about Raifort’s impression.) Clavell offers her a place at the academy, which she denies. She has more important things to do, like play with her Copperajah. He’ll get her to say yes one day, but not today.
