DAILY MEDITATIONS AND AFFIRMATIONS - May 12, 2024
How much time do you waste asking God senseless questions while you should be absolutely free to concentrate on your service to Him through your Christ calling? Consecration is the act of continually separating yourself from everything except that which God has appointed you to do. It is not a onetime experience but an ongoing process. Question to ask myself: Am I continually separating myself from anything that would interfere with my consecration to advance His Kingdom in the earth through my Christ calling?
"I write to you to stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance." - 2 Peter 3:1 See how David calls upon himself, "Awake my glory!" - Psalm 57:8. And see how Deborah calls upon herself, "Awake, awake, Deborah, awake, awake, utter a song." - Judges 5:12.
Awaking is a word that implies rousing, as birds that provoke their young ones by flight, to make use of their wings. Now, how few there are that thus call upon themselves? It was the prophet's complaint, no man, "stirreth up himself to take hold of thee," - Isaiah 64:7.
Let your primary focus be communing with Him, worshiping Him, glorifying Him. Then you will be prepared to receive your next assignment that will bear fruit that remains for His advancing Kingdom through your Christ calling.
AFFIRMATIONS: I always receive from God because I have faith and do not doubt. (Matthew 21:21,22)
I am the salt of the earth and the light of the world. I glorify God with the Believers that I equip for Kingdom service. (Matthew 5:13,14,16)
I curse those things that don’t bear fruit for God in my life. (Mark 11:12)

There's some dude (derogatory) on FB who is PISSED people are pricing their farm fresh eggs at $2 and $3 a dozen instead of $4+, saying it's "disrespectful" and "undignified" and "I'm trying to feed my kids" like Sir, you are on a Facebook group page bitching about your neighbors egg prices because your pet chickens aren't earning you a living wage and you think it's your neighbors' fault, you do not have a leg to stand on here wrt dignity.
Also half the answers are like "I give them to friends and family free" or "I donate them to food banks" or "I'm making them affordable to folks who might not otherwise be able to get them now that they're so expensive in the store" and "if you think you're going to turn a profit keeping backyard chickens you have been wildly misled" and so on, and so forth, and I'm so living for it.
and I can tell you right now, he did NOT like my answer of "if you're trying to feed your kids, I hear eggs are edible."

I think people sometimes misunderstand why we come up with such elaborate justifications for shipping two characters together. I don't justify my ships because I feel that I need to; I justify my ships because squinting at the published canon with furrowed brow and asking myself "okay, how exactly would this work?" is my idea of a good time.

Prompt 3 - Gratitude for a Learning Experience
Setbacks are but a normal and usual occurrence in our lives. Miles, a good friend of mine once said that when a circumstance that is beyond your control confronts you, the best thing to ask yourself is what do I need to learn from this? It makes sense since there is nothing you can do anyway, you might as well figure out what lesson you can draw from the experience. These takeaways can better…

The Foundation
While talking with my husband, he made a point about the foundation of a thing. Beit a relationship, a new construction, or a church if the foundation has cracks or is weak no matter what or how hard you try to build on it, it will eventually fall. That reminded me to go back to the basics, take care of the foundation. Love, nurture, slowly grow, develop with intention the foundation of a thing.…

God's Mighty Hand
But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless a mighty hand compels him. So I will stretch out my hand and strike the Egyptians with all the wonders that I will perform among them. After that, he will let you go. Exodus 3:19-20 In our Women’s Bible Study at church, we are working through the Book of Exodus using Jen Wilkin’s study, The God of Deliverance. This past week, Jen…

How does one navigate through the perilous times of this world when they are not properly equipped? How can one expect to get different results to the betterment of their lives without the acceptance of Christ through the Word of God as one source to offset spiritual lameness? These are some of the questions that are addressed in this edition of Spiritual Nuggets of Truth.

Life is the sum of all our decisions. Camus wrote about that.
Our work is the sum of all our decisions - both our decisions in what we do & what we refrain from doing.
Be attentive to both.
As a leader -
•Are you constantly solving problems for those you lead?
•Are you refraining from equipping others to grow and be problem-solvers in the midst of their discomfort?
Be attentive to what you’re deciding to do and not do.
This is something I wish I would’ve thought through early in my work journey 🙏🏻
