the fact that max knows the teens “buried and left [him], defiled [his] body” implies his ghost saw all of bury the bully and therefore that grace instigated hacking his limbs off and letting his corpse rot (as her FIRST INSTINCT btw)….and he was still Down Bad for her. like he saw his crush dismember him and burn him and he was still dropping all of his evil plans at the chance to have sex with her. truly The Couple ever.
