Danny meets the Justice League, but they are mostly just confused, cause they think he has two kids with his arch enemy.
How that misunderstanding happened is actually pretty simple.
Wonder Woman first meet Elle(Dani). And she mentions that one of her parents is also a superhero. She also mentions that the other is evil business man.
Danny don't really correct Elle when she calls him Dad. Even if he is way to young to be her father.
The Justice League thinks that to but then realize that Danny has ghost powers and they could infect his aging.
Later they meet Dan(or Vladiel) and since Danny is his past version he just calls him "old man" when he is bored.
He does the same thing with Vlad.
Danny just explains that the adult one is from the future. Cause he thinks it's pretty obvious what he is.
So the Justice League thinks it's pretty clear Danny Phantom has two kids with his arch nemesis and needs an intervention of how to pick a good partner.
I'm sorry I just had to get the possibility of every one gets confused by Elle and Dan out of my system.

I've started and deleted three drafts now trying to get my thoughts into a coherent recommendation, but there's just so much.
Let's start with the basics: You should read the graphic novel if you're a fan of the original show. You just should. It's new content of your old faves, and I'm telling you now that the art and writing are great and that you should give it a shot based on that alone.
But as for exactly why I'm losing my mind over it this much...?
It... feels like watching the show. But a version of the show unafraid to explore its own worldbuilding. A version of the show where continuity and character growth matter. A version of the show without jokes written by people far too old to understand mid-2000s teens.
And it is actually, honest-to-goodness funny. I went in fully braced for a badly shoehorned "fruit loop" one-liner, and instead I got incredible deadpan asides like this:
Tumblr media
The art, too, manages to perfectly ride the line of looking enough like the original style to be convincing, but improving on the expressiveness of the characters' faces and actions to elevate it to something arguably better than the show:
Tumblr media
(Like, I'm being so serious when I say the fight scenes are among the best I have ever seen in comic form. I'm the kind of person who tends to go for anime over manga because the fights are harder for me to follow in little sequential snapshots, but I can tell exactly what's happening in these battles AND they still look super cinematic and cool.)
And the story. Man, the STORY.
I won't spoil any of the plot here, but it's... really good. A little winding and goofy toward the beginning, but once things get serious, it really grabs you and refuses to let go til it's done. (Much like the best episodes of the show! Funny how that works.) It has a satisfying conclusion, but it also leaves a massive door open to continue telling more stories in the setting.
And I want more stories in this universe. The threads being dangled here might be even more enticing than those left by the original show. There is potential here for an INCREDIBLE series of comics.
We just have to prove how badly we want it.
If you can't buy the book yourself right now (it's relatively cheap for a graphic novel--I think it was about $15 even with tax from my Barnes & Noble), then please at least let other fans know it exists (I wouldn't have had any idea if not for tumblr) and keep the hype going on social media. I'm stoked to see that DP is trending on tumblr, at least, and I hope the same is true elsewhere. It's a small thing, but it's something corporate decision-makers take note of.
Fingers crossed we get to see more someday. This is one series that deserves to come back from the dead.
But, whether or not we get that continuation: welcome back, Phandom. Congrats and happy release day. 💚

DC x DP: Passion for Fashion
Danny Fenton's life is weird.
Ever since the accident that turned him into a helfa life has been throwing him around like a quarter in a dryer. He got good at rolling with the punches- fugitively and not- but every once in a while, he gets a surprise.
One of those surprises is his future self turning evil after killing his human side and eating Vlad's ghost side. Then he went on a world wide rampage that devastated the human race for almost two decades. Thankfully, he defeated him and locked up Dan between timelines, where he will spend all of entirely inside a thermos.
That was until Clockwork lost all sanity.
"What do you mean you let him out?" Danny slams his hands on the only table Clockwork owns. The time ghost doesn't seem moved by his outburst, not that the Accident ever does, as Clockwork often than not, was impassive with everything that has ever happened, could happen, or will happen.
Seeing all outcomes did that to a person.
"Two years have passed since his initial creation. That was enough time for the timeline that he came from to cease, as he never shaped humanity's history. This means, Daniel, that I could no longer hold Dan for a crime that does not exist."
"But he leveled nations, committed genocide and war crimes against the Infinite Realms! How can you say he is innocent!?"
Clockwork sighs. "I am not saying he is innocent but he did them in a time that ceased. All those nations stand tall, the people he killed never died, and all the war crimes were undone. I am saying he has never committed them in the first place."
Dan smirks from where he is rocking in a chair. Danny doesn't like the being's significant bulky form, so ready and dangerous, being so close to him. His counterpart could easily snap his neck with those beefy arms. "It seems I am free to go Brat."
Clockwork levels an unimpressed stare on his future self. "No, you are not. You still have the potential to commit crimes. Which is why Daniel is here."
Danny punches his fist, sneering at Dan, "You want me to kick his ass again?"
Dan snorts. He quirks a brow at Danny as if saying he found the threat to be nothing more than an amusing yelp from a small dog. Danny bristles.
"No," Said Clockwork "I want you to be his model for the Gotham fashion show."
What?
Dan leans back in his chair, crossing his arms behind his head. Danny is reminded of repeated offending students who get called into the principal's office but have lost all respect for the principal. They don't care. And neither does Dan.
"Apparently, I need to find a positive outlet for all my pent-up rage, and Clocky, here, thinks I could be a fashion designer." Dan snorts again.
Danny stares at Clockwork in betrayal. "You think he what?"
"I do not think. I know. I also know that neither of you will take this seriously, so I took the liberty of fusing a bomb into your cores. If you attempt to leave Gotham's city bounds, the bomb will go off, and you will cease."
Danny's and Dan's mouths drop open in a sickening mirror. They each reach into their chest only to slam their fingers against one of the clockwork's allurements pulsing against their cross. In a chill boning moment, they realize the Time Lord would kill them both without so much of a blink if it meant preserving the timeline.
Danny had often forgotten that Clockwork did not particularly care for him past his involvement with certain events.
"But- Modleing!? What does that have to do with anything?!"
For the first time in a long time, Clockwork smiled. "It is the catalyst of a turning point in Gotham."
"What the hell even is Gotham?" Dan demands slamming his own hands on the table. Danny is pushed out of the way to make the action possible which only irritates the younger more.
"Gotham is one of America's greatest crime infestive cities."
"Ugh, dude, that's not true.." Danny cuts in. "I've never heard of Gotham, and I've lived in America all my life."
"Not your timeline's America, Daniel."
"You're talking about an alternate universe. One that doesn't have a Daniel Fenton, doesn't it? " Dan questions crossing his arms. He rolls his eyes at Danny's confused gaze. "Honestly. And you call yourself the Ghost King. The Infinite Realms connect every living's things afterlife that, includes aliens and other universes. I never attacked any of them, but I did do some study on them."
"Dan is correct. This timeline has slowly been spiraling out of control due to Batman slowly losing whatever is left of his mind. His children are the only reason he's still considered Belovlent but he is going to lose them soon if he does not shape up. Your job is to make sure that does not happen."
"How do we do that?"
"By winning the Wayne Amature Fashion Show and ensuring Batman does not lose his humanity."
Dan snorts. "I can't help someone not lose their humanity. I don't have mine anymore."
"I believe you do. Otherwise, you wouldn't already have designs in mind for young Daniel."
Danny blinks as Dan carelessly shrugs his shoulder. He has designs already? Clockwork places two thick folders on the table. "Here are your backgrounds that will explain your apparence in that world. I expect you to memorize them and get used to them while in Gotham."
"Danny and Dan Fenton. Emancipated minor brothers from Santa Prisca who found their way to the USA with asylum when thier mother died getting them off the island. We're both meta-humans, with the ablitites to glow in the dark and make ice. " Danny read off squinting his eyes at the unfamilar words like "meta", "santa prisca" and most of all the ending part. "It says we're twins."
"Yes."
"Ummm he's like a thousand years old." Danny says pointing at Dan.
"I'm twenty-six"
"And still single. Ouch."
Clockwork raises his staff before Dan had a chance to answer. "I will of course be making adjustments."
Dan's body de-ages before Danny's eyes, dragging the man back into the body of a sixteen year old. Dan looks utterly bewildered for a only a few seconds before he opens his mouth a releases a string of spanish curse words.
Danny blinks. "I didn't know you spoke Spanish."
"I don't!" The teenage ghost sneers.
"You do now." Clockwork sighs putting down his staff. "As does Daniel. Santa Prisca is a Spanish's speaking country. It would not make sense if refugees from there did not speak the language. Now, good luck to you both, and remember, failing means I end your existence."
One blink to the next, Danny founds himself in the middle of a large city, with Dan- now in human form and looking identical to Danny- at his side with various suitcases surrounding them.
"I hate when he freezes time and moves me." Danny groans and Dan kicks the ground.
"How do we even know what a Batman is?"
"I guess we start here?" On the wall, is a flyer announcing the Wayne Armature Fashion show, with a cash prize of a fifty thousand dollars. A picture of a smiling man is printed on it with the words "Bruce Wayne as special judge." next to him.
"We have a house" Dan says flipping though his folder. "Crap knows how, but apparently it was left to us by a well meaning old man in his will. We should go there before we try to takle this whole Fashion show thing."
"Oh and you know so much about that."
"In case you forgot how to count boy, I was twenty-four when you sealed me away. Two years passed since then and I did not spend them in a thermos."
"What?"
"Clockwork let me out, but only in his haunt. I picked up a sewing machine after I failed to beat him in combat." Dan shrugs at the teenager's expression. "I know but I mellowed out a lot when my ordinal timeline ended. My madness went with it."
"How so?"
"I was mad with grief but you saved your family and friends, so that grief never came to be."
"That doesn't make any sense."
"Time Paradoxes never make sense."
Danny sighs "This isn't the first mission Clockwork's ever sent me on either. I've never gone to a different timeline but I went back in time a lot to stop other ghosts from getting too powerful. I know all about time Paradoxes."
"Crap are we cops? Time Cops?"
"Ugh I think we are."
"That's terrible. We have to find this Batman and get him to therapy cause I will not be a cop."
Danny follows after Dan, who is muttering to himself while reading a outdated map of the city. He wonders if the other realized he spoke in Spanish or if it had been a unconscious thought. He hopes this mission won't take too long, he wants to get away from his greatest mistake as soon as he can.
And he needs to work on his walk if he's going to strut down the run way soon.
Ugh.
Across the city, Bruce narrows his eyes at the Batcomputer screen as two identical sixteen year old's stare back at him. He hasn't found that tied them with criminal activity but meta's from Santa Prisca of all places has set off more then one bell in his head.
"Keep a eye on them" He tells his children who are all reading the same thing. "I don't trust them."
"Do you trust anyone B?" Dick jokes but his smile is strained as he reads the contest rules., "Did you really make up a whole fashion show just to lure Dan Fenton?"
"He's shown signs of fashion inclinations."
"Yeah but why are we the judges." Tim complains "I don't a thing about fashion."
Steph, Duke, Damian and Cass all nod. Bruce, unwilling to admit he just wanted to spend time with his kids, only grunts "It's for the mission."
"Sure B."

So Danny is a famous best selling author in the multiverse (DP universe is different from the DC universe), he has written several books. Ghostwriter is his editor, publisher and distributor.
Jazz got him to start writing a journal to help with his mental health and to let his feeling out in a safe manner. He liked it so much that he decided to write some actual books
One of his books is part autobiographical and part self-help for heroes. Including chapters about having mad scientist for parents, being cloned by supervillain, having met an evil version of yourself from the future, why your rogue gallery can be so weird, Dating its complicated, etc.
He co-wrote a few books with Dani, one was about what is like to be a clone and having a clone, another is a travel guide to the Infinte Realms
Another book is meant to be humorous and is about die and being dead. A lot of death humor. Death and Dying for Dummies.
Maybe an Art book filled with photographs of space that he took pictures of. Some not being possible to view from Earth.

DP X DC idea time!
So eventually Danny tells Jazz about Dan and the whole evil future that could have been. In turn Jazz educates Danny on the ethics of imprisoning someone in what is essentially a box and mentally damaging them even further and decides that Dan deserves an attempt at rehabilitation. Danny introduces her to Clockwork and they work together to develop a rehabilitation program for Dan.
So they move him from the Fenton thermos into what is essentially a ghost enclosure that he can’t escape from and work on finding a ghost therapist that they can conscript to help them. It can’t be Jazz herself because even if Dan is from an alternate timeline it would be a conflict of interest, can’t be Spectra either because just no.
The rehab takes years, with the amount of trauma Dan went through, and the shit he’s done it’s not a simple or straightforward process to get him to a more healthy mindset and he definitely would fall off the wagon more than once. But eventually he’s at a point where he can acknowledge that he did some truly awful shit and while he feels guilt about it he’s not beating himself up or participating in self destructive behavior in an effort to atone for anything. And he’s built up really good relationships with Danny, Danni and Jazz. Like good to the point that he and Danni constantly joke about being Danny’s kids because of all the trouble they cause for him (like childish pranks and shit)
So when he’s finally at a point where he truly wants to do good things again they decide to do a trial run. Clockwork puts the ghost equivalent of an ankle monitor on his core and sends him off to the DC universe. Shenanigans occur and Dan eventually joins the Justice league.
And he’s ends up being really good at the super hero gig when he makes the effort.
Of course at some point everything gets fucky, maybe Morgaine Le Fey or some other powerful magic user decides to attempt to take over the world using denizens of the infinite realms. Dan of course realizes that the most effective means of fending them off would be to enlist some help from home, so he tells the league that he has some ally’s he can call for help.
Enter stage left, king of the infinite realms Danny Phantom and princess of the realms Danni
*im fairly certain there’s already a fic or prompt similar to this but I just really want more fics of rehabilitated Dan in the world

One thing i want to talk about is how Danny Phantom A Glitch in Time is pretty similar on themes and character arcs to Steven Universe Future.
In general in DP A Glitch in Time there is this whole idea of searching for a new purpose-¨emotional drive¨ as it get called in the story- in a era where Danny managed to save the day and ¨earn his happy ending¨.
Tumblr media
You get a lot of panels of Danny just feeling unhappy with his new status quo, not because he has tons of problems, in fact he has more than he could ever dream of. It's that he feels like he isn't needed as a hero anymore since there are other people that could fight for him. He isn't ¨useful¨, or well, in the way he used to be. He feels like people don't need him to be Amity's protector.
Tumblr media
This itself shares a lot in common with the arc that Steven goes through in Steven Universe Future. He feels like people don't need him anymore and still tries doing the same thing he raised himself to be: a ¨helper¨, someone who is defined by his role to help others. This causes Steven to feel lost in his own sense of identity and purpose in an Era that is supposed to be ¨his happy ending¨.
You can see this applied in DP A Glitch in Time with Vlad Masters too. From the start of the story he sends off these vibes that he has been aimless since post-Phantom Planet events. When he returned to his home he found that ¨he had nothing to return to¨ as in the sense nobody missed him nor cared he was dead or alive. He also became enemy number 1 considering how he tried holding the world hostage, making him lose most of the power and position he had.
Tumblr media
What it is interesting is how Vlad tried going back in time to ¨fix his mistakes¨ by asking Clockwork to give him that chance. From the beginning of the story he admits that he did something wrong, just not what. There is this idea that he isn't interested in being in role of the ¨villain¨ anymore. The worst he does in the story is probably looking forward to keep the origin of ghost powers for himself, aside from accidentally realizing Dan during his fight against Clockwork.
Much like Steven Universe Future, you have these characters struggling to see where they could fit in this new status quo. Their character arcs involve finding a new purpose and learning more about themselves in the process.
Lets talk about Dan Phantom's role in the story. He is the main antagonist from A Glitch in Time. He absorbs Clockwork, master of time, to become more powerful, thus causing terrible time glitches for the rest of the characters. A lot of Dan Phantom's arc in the graphic novel has to do with self-destruction. Him being obsessed with ¨winning¨ and continue fighting even when the fusion with Clockwork is very unstable, is hurting him and destroying the reality at the same time.
Tumblr media
Dan's obsession with ¨winning¨ reminds me quite a lot of Jasper from Steven Universe as well as Steven's arc in SU Future. There is a lot of repeating what the same thing over and over even when it isn't working anymore. The character themselves struggle to be something beyond the the role them or others pushed them into and they don't know what to be outside of that.
In fact, there are some panels Dan reminded me a lot of Jasper, such as when he is getting time glitched/corrupted.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another main theme in Danny Phantom A Glitch in Time is about the characters getting second chances- the characters in case being Vlad Masters and Dan Phantom. Both characters do the terrible things they do due to their circumstances. They have certain pretty bad things that happened to them that lead them to become evil and hurt people. In addition to this, there tons of mentions of how ghosts aren't evil and they have reasons to do what they do. During the fight against Dan, Danny tries persuading him into stepping down and stopping the fight, pointing out that the timeline is getting destroyed. At one point he asks to Dan ¨why are you so angry?¨.
Tumblr media
I want to bring up that, yes, this theme is a continuation from the main theme of The Ultimate Enemy episode from the series. But, at the same time, when reading the graphic novel i couldn't help but think about how Steven Universe has these similar ideas of looking into what motivates an antagonist and them being given a second chance to do things right. What really made me think about this more is seeing Dan Phantom, the main antagonist from the novel getting a second chance. Because in any other show, a character like Dan would probably be destroyed but this is something that wouldn't happen in Steven Universe, since it isn't so much about if someone ¨deserves¨ it or not as it is if they choose to change.
I'm not saying that Danny Phantom A Glitch in Time ¨ripped off¨ things from Steven Universe. That would be an absurd conclusion to come to. What i'm discussing here is that it is possible that the graphic novel was influenced by Steven Universe, mainly Steven Universe Future to some extent, in terms of themes and character arcs.

So very dumb DP AU /fic prompt idea where none of the ghosts actually realise that Danny doesn’t know the basics of ghost culture/etiquette.
Like their only experience is Vlad and either A) doesn’t know but pretends he does and talks his way around stuff or B) initially was a creeper around the GZ till he found out about ghost customs and stuff
So, all of them think Danny must just know, maybe when ghosts come into being there’s just some intrinsic knowledge, they have so they wouldn’t think he wouldn’t know.
The main reason everyone’s invading amity is cause Danny in ghost terms dared them to, like he claimed Amity as his territory and in ghost terms if a ghost claims an area in the human world as part of their lair, then it’s free game like try and take it from me if you want. It’s sort of a big deal for a ghost to claim an area in the human world it’s kinda declaring themself as a big deal and the larger the area the more their claiming themself to be a big deal and the bigger the dare.
So, in their minds this kid got powers and instantly just issued this big dare/challenge and so all of them went in on it thinking he knew what he was doing.
(They’re also going all out against him cause they don’t actually realise he could die/get hurt Vlad totally has claimed he has the invincibility/helping of most ghosts and that things wouldn’t/don’t hurt him so they think it’s the same with Danny...Vlad was 110% bullshitting)
Eventually someone realises Danny has not only no idea about what he did by protecting Amity but also HAS NO IDEA ABOUT ANYTHING GZ RELATED! Realise that all the feuds and fights are huge misunderstandings and the ghosts are like ‘...wait...FUCK HAVE WE JUST BEEN BEATING UP THIS KID FOR NO REASON??? THEY COULD HAVE ACTUALLY KILLED HIM???’ like this kid knew nothing? NO-ONE TOLD HIM?? WHAT???
Cue ghost zone collectively adopting Danny...and him being forced into ghost lessons
Ghosts:...wait so how did you learn to do those attacks if you didn’t have any knowledge?
Danny:Oh I kind of taught myself.
Ghosts:WTFWTFWTF
Like did he not realise if he had used his powers differently he could have blown himself up???
BONUS:
Ghosts: YOU MET CLOCKWORK? CLOCKWORK IS REAL???
Danny:Uh yeah of course
Ghosts:HOW???
Danny:Oh it is when I had to fight my evil future self
Ghosts:...wha

dp x dc prompt #5!
As he grows older and starts to look more like Dan, even without merging with Plasmias, Danny gets more and more paranoid about turning evil without realizing it. So, in an effort to keep from going down that path even by accident, he builds an AI of his younger self, back when he was sure he could tell if his future self’s actions were wrong, and it slowly develops a true consciousness.
Years later, after distancing himself from his friends and family in Amity Park and joining the Justice League to continue to help save people, Danny is disillusioned with hero work. His young, naive AI self is criticizing his every move and every hard decision he’s forced to make.
After a particularly rough mission with many casualties, Danny disappears into the Infinite Realms. The only clues to finding him are hidden in an AI that is too stubborn to help.

And while I’m on the topic what I dislike most about this danny phantom shit isn’t that it’s a crossover taking over most of the tag. I could deal with that if it was a /good/ crossover that made sense for John to be interacting with these characters but it just doesn’t.
I won’t lie I’ve seen some fun art of the concept it’s not inherently bad but it’s hard to enjoy it as someone primarily interested in John because you can tell the only reason he’s being included is his connections to the supernatural. Even if those connections aren’t exactly to the typical ghost hunting associated with Danny phantom.
John simply would not want to deal with the fentons and their ghost hunting he’d probably consider them idiots for it. As for Danny himself he’d probably treat him the way he treats tim hunter at best (and John has tried to kill Tim btw for those who do not read the comics. Which considering Danny also has an evil alt future self is a totally possibility)
I don’t think it’s very reflective of the actual Danny phantom characters either. Like Danny and his friends would not like John he’s an asshole he wouldn’t really want to help them all that much (he would but he will complain about being dragged into it especially since this isn’t the sort of thing he normally deals with) but he’s a chain smoking alcoholic middle aged asshole so not typically the sort of person teenagers want to hang out with. Ntm I don’t think magic in general was ever a big thing in danny phantom.
I think a lot of us would be more open to it if it wasn’t clear this was inspired by the sanitised version of John that appears in a lot of DC media.
Also is it worth it to ask any of the DP writers who actually read this to maybe find a new tag for that stuff so those of us who actually read hellblazer can have our tag back.

Remember my RotG x DP crossover? Yeah, here's a bit from an Ulimate Enemy rewrite I'll eventually get around to when I actually decide to work on it.
---
Danny cried out, rubble falling around him. He was too weak, too drained to switch back to his ghost form, his evil future self having beaten everything he had left out of him. He was simply glad Tucker and Sam got away safe, and he welcomed the darkness, welcomed the cold silence that surrounded him, anticipated the pain that would inevitably follow...
But it didn't.
Danny frowned.
His brow furrowed, face scrunched up as he braced for pain that never came. Instead, two warm arms wrapped around him, clutching him close as a face buried in his neck. His eyes popped open, heart racing.
Darkness greeted him. It was not the darkness of unconsciousness but rather the solemn, quiet dark of the Boogieman's lair. Faint light shone from some far off crevice in the high cavern ceiling. The lights on the metal globe shone far brighter than they should from a world plagued with fear, if fewer in number than his own timeline. And the Boogieman, Pitch Black himself, kneeled over him, arms wrapped around Danny's chest and back, pinning his arms to his sides. His breathing was heavy, shaky.
"You're here..." Pitch Black whispered into the tatters of his ruined t-shirt. "You're actually here..."
Tears filled Danny's eyes. His arms shook as he lifted them, lip trembling as the adrenaline finally started to wear off. He clutched the back of Pitch's robe, clinging to him as a hiccup escaped. "P-Pitch?" he whispered.
"I'm here," Pitch stated firmly. One warm hand moved up to cup the back of Danny's head, pulling him impossibly closer so Danny could bury his face in a broad shoulder. "I'm here, Danny, I'm not going anywhere. You're safe." Danny clutched him tighter, a sob choking out of him. "You're safe..."
Danny sobbed.
He sobbed and wailed into Pitch's shoulder, clinging to the Nightmare King, the one person he had never actually had any nightmares about, nails digging into Pitch's black robe. Pitch hauled him up, cradling Danny in his lap, hushing him gently as he pet his hair and rubbed his back. Danny's grip never loosened, but his sobs did quiet. He might have blacked out at some point because when next he opened his eyes, Pitch was sitting on his throne, Danny curled up in his lap. His head rested on Pitch's shoulder, Pitch continuing the gentle up and down motions on his back where he held him close. A hand was tangled in his hair. Danny pulled away a little, rubbing one eye and feeling sore all over.
"Oh, ow..." he groaned. He flexed his hands, peering down at his battered body with bleary eyes. "Future me's a fucking asshole..." he grumbled. He glanced up at Pitch. Gold eyes stared back down at him unblinking and Danny flinched, looking away quickly. "Sorry for crying all over you..."
"It's nothing," Pitch said. He made no move to push Danny off him, but Danny could still feel his gaze burning into him. "What do you mean 'future you?'" His hand ran through Danny's hair once more before leaving, and Danny mourned the loss. The arm around him also left, Pitch propping himself on an elbow and leaning his head in his hand. Danny couldn't look at him. "You're not my Danny... are you?"
Danny bit his lip. He stood, walking a short distance away, scratching the back of his head. "Not... not really," he admitted. He couldn't look back at the old spirit, couldn't bear to see the hateful judgement in those gold eyes, eyes that had always looked at him with gentle kindness.
Pitch was quiet, simply humming low in his throat when Danny still refused to look at him, and Danny took that as permission to explain. "Okay, so... get this: I'm at school the other day, and Mr. Lancer announced the C.A.T. exams. I'm all stressed out about it because Jazz had such perfect scores, and Mom and Dad are really cracking down on me studying, and Jazz is staring over my shoulder doing that... that thing she always does! Like, she's trying to help and be supportive, but it just makes me feel worse because she's so good at everything, and I'm just... not!" He was pacing now, not noticing the way Pitch's eyes widened with every word, nor the way his brow hiked up to his hairline at the mention of Lancer and the C.A.T.
"Then the next thing I know, there's this weird ghost in my kitchen! I don't even know how she got there, but she said she's the daughter of the Box Ghost and the Lunch Lady," Danny shuddered. "Anyway, I kicked her butt, but during the fight, the Nasty Burger caught fire, and Lancer was there, and I somehow managed to get a hold of the answers to the test." Danny rubbed his hands down his face. "Then Skulker and Technus show up looking super scary and ready to kick me into next week and during that fight these weird medallion things come off them and next thing I know, Sam, Tucker, and I are all in this weird lair in the Ghost Zone and there was this portal on the wall and it showed a version me where I'm older and evil and... and..." Danny stopped. He faced away from Pitch, wrapping his arms around himself. "He... I... hurt so many people..." More tears welled up in his eyes, and his shoulders shook.
He jumped as a warm hand was placed on his shoulder. Danny finally glanced up at Pitch and saw the gentle patience in the older being's eyes, the hint of kindness he always managed to spare for Danny.
"You met Clockwork?" Pitch asked patiently, bringing Danny back to focus on something other than the pain in his future.
Danny sniffed. "Yeah." He wiped his eyes. "He was kind of a dick."
Pitch chuckled. "Most time-keepers are. I've met a few over the years."
"You know Clockwork?"
Pitch reached up to wipe the lingering tears from Danny's cheeks. "I met him once or twice. Tried to scare him into turning back the clock."
"Why would you do that?" Danny flinched as Pitch stared down at him, unblinking once more. Pitch was quiet for a long time, simply staring. Danny began to feel nervous all over again. He bit his lip. "Pitch?"
Pitch blinked. "You stopped believing in me."
Danny threw himself into Pitch's arms. Pitch wrapped his arms back around him, tight and unyielding, sinking down to his knees with Danny pressed firmly to his chest.
"No!" Danny cried. "Why would I... You're Pitch! You're my Pitch, I could never forget you, why would I ever"-
"Something... very bad happened," Pitch interjected. His hold never wavered. "Something happened, and I couldn't... I couldn't save them... You couldn't save them, I couldn't help, and you suffered for it." His voice cracked, and Danny held him tighter. "You suffered so much, and I... I couldn't help you. And the man who could..." Danny pulled back, but Pitch didn't let him go far. He was shocked to see wetness staining ashen cheeks. "He thought he was helping..." Pitch whispered. Danny reached up to wipe his tears away. "He thought he was helping, but he made it worse." His voice grew hard, angry, and Danny winced as Pitch's nails dug into his back. Pitch immediately let go when he noticed. "Sorry."
Danny shook his head. "Sounds like it's no less than I deserve," he muttered with a derisive chuckle.
Pitch cupped his face with a warm hand, tilting his head so their eyes could meet. "That monster out there is not you."
"But he is a version of me," Danny whispered, his eyes watering. "Clockwork was pretty clear about that..."
"Clockwork left out a pretty big detail then," Pitch stated, a growl in his voice.
Danny rose an eyebrow. He bit his lip. "Who... who is 'he' in this story?"

Night Guard Danny (DP x FNAF)
So either due to the GIW or the parents finding out going wrong, Danny has to flee Amity Park in a hurry. Since he's half-human and still needs to eat, that means that he has to find somewhere that won't do secure background checks and find out that this identity doesn't have the necessary requirements. What's one place that doesn't do that? That's right! Freddy Fazbears.
Now this is in a location where there are haunted animatronics bc of a missing children's incident. Danny immediately recognizes this place as a Haunt and does a ghostly aura greeting/explanation. This confuses the children and they don't immediately clock Danny as the one who sent it. Fazbears hires Danny but leaves the job notice up, assuming that he's gonna die or quit at the end of the week.
The first few nights, the animatronics attack. Having fought with his rogues and befriended them, this doesn't faze Danny. (Haunted animatronics are nothing when you've had to fight your future evil self.) In fact, being the chaos gremlin that he is, he's probably having fun and/or calling up to Amity Park to make sure that it's doing ok. Danny's assuming that the children are either testing him or are waiting to talk till later. He knows that the animatronics are possessed a la Ghost Sense so he's just vibing waiting till they are ready to chat.
Every night he leaves with a smile and a bounce in his step. And this scares the morning crew. They've gotten used to night guards looking panicked and stressed or straight up missing and dead. So even if they don't know exactly what's going on, they know it's bad. So having Danny consistently pop out of it with a smile scares them. He also stays which is the next shocker to them. Now Danny is staying because he wants to make sure that the GIW doesn't catch wind of the place and capture them (plus, he's also having fun) but they don't know that.
After the second week, management decides to shadow Danny to make sure that he's actually showing up and doing his job. Whether or not the animatronics are attacking that night or not is up to you. Either way, Danny's casually talking with management while keeping the office secure. Management leaves bewildered by Danny.
Then Mike applies. Considering the reputation that Fazbears has, it doesn't get a lot of applicants. They seriously consider not hiring him, but then decide that they can make use of Danny and have him train Mike. Afterwards, they can just have Mike and Danny on different days.
Now in between when he got hired and when Mike came in, Danny and the children actually got to talking. Danny's priority is making sure that the kids are safe and have escape plans while the kids want to know what is up with him. Upon realizing that the kids are essentially trapped in the animatronics and not knowing why, Danny calls Frostbite to have him come by the restaurant to give them a check up.
When Mike comes in, Danny's not all too happy. Both because there's another ghost adjacent being he has to watch out for and because this is a stranger, can they be trusted and all that. Danny fields out Mike, decides that he can be trusted and tells him what he knows. Mike does end up meeting Frostbite for a check-up as well. There are probably more shenanigans to be had, but this is all that comes to mind.

Puberty Speedrun (pt 3)
Chapter 1: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 (you are here!)
Synopsis: Danny wakes up a lot older than when he went to bed. Shenanigans ensue (eventually taking him all the way to Gotham).
After breakfast and a rather long, headache-inducing conversation with Tuck and Sam, Danny was standing in front of his bathroom sink, trying to work up the nerve to go ghost. They’d come up with no possible explanations for his Puberty Speedrun (as he had affectionately and derogatorily dubbed the situation – at Tucker’s encouragement) and everyone agreed his best bet was to question Clockwork or Frostbite in the Ghost Zone. Danny just had to go ghost.
The problem was, Danny really wasn't sure what his ghost form would look like. He hoped it would still look like his younger self. It would be easier to explain, in that there would be nothing to explain. Danny Fenton could disappear for a little while, and it would be fine as long as Danny Phantom didn’t. Also, you know, still young Danny Phantom would come with the added benefit of not dealing with whatever potential similarities there were between himself and Dan. It would be a win-win!
Danny inhaled, and let the transformation overcome him on the exhale. Eyes squeezed shut and lungs deflated, Danny used his last breath to whisper, “Please be normal, fifteen-year-old Phantom.”
No such luck. Danny peeked beneath his eyelids to look in the mirror and practically collapsed in on himself with disappointment.
His ghost form had also aged, and this time it was even easier to tell the differences between his aged up self and his alternate evil future. He must’ve been even older than he first thought. For one thing, Danny just looked tired. He wasn’t sure if it was his imagination or if it really was palpable in his reflection, but Danny looked like a man far too used to a smaller body. The way he slumped in on himself did not have the same effect in this older form; this body or lack thereof did not want to diminish itself and disappear the way he had once been able to as a teenager. It was strangely pathetic. Danny straightened some and continued to stare.
Who would’ve thought ghosts could get wrinkles? They weren’t obvious, but as he stared at his own ghostly visage, he had remembered seeing them in the mirror in his human form and disregarding them. It was a bit harder to miss them now.
Danny had always expected that as his ghost form aged, he’d start looking more and more like Dan. His reflection was both comforting and distressing in its shattering of his expectations. Black sclera. Green irises. White hair, still not flaming, but wispier than usual. Worry lines etched into his forehead and around his eyes. Slight frown lines around his mouth. His jumpsuit was the same as it had always been: simple black and white with the stylized DP. Ears slightly pointed. He opened his mouth, and yup. Those were fangs.
If he were prone to romantic thought, he could imagine how this version of him could survive in frescoes and statues for thousands of years. There was something chiseled and stony and worn in his face and his shoulders. If Danny had actually lived the years it looked like he had, he might have even been handsome. As he was, he looked out of place. Lost.
Danny grimaced and looked away from his reflection in favor of peeling on his left glove. The scar tissue on his palm was just as gnarled and vibrant as ever. Good to know that the physical reminders of his death stayed just as fresh, he supposed. With his mental inventory of his appearance complete, Danny pulled his glove back on. It was time to head into the Ghost Zone.
---
And that’s the end of chapter 1 folks! The entirely of the first chapter is now on AO3, and chapter 2 is in the works. I’ll post chapter 2 updates on tumblr throughout the coming week, and the entirely of it will drop on AO3 next Sunday. Thank you for reading!

Hiya! For your WIP tag game, I’d love to see 1,2 and/or 8! Love me some dp crossover right now 😍
Tall order! Let me see:
(Drake Manor)
“Oh,” Robin greets, a little of his exuberance…muted. Tim pouts. Danny ruins everything. “I didn’t know you were coming, or else I would have brought another gift! Danny, right? How have you been?”
Danny rolls his eyes, but comes over to the door. In the same way Robin’s dressed down for the holiday, Danny’s dressed up; instead of his usual tee and hoodie combination, he has on a real sweater on over his jeans. For whatever reason, it has little green ghosts knitted into the repeating pattern.
“You don’t have to bring anything for me. I’m not even Jewish,” Danny points out. “As long as the squirt gets something, I think you win. Welcome back; I hope you like somewhat burnt brisket. I think his mom got a little too enthusiastic with the oven.”
“Your disrespect is audible and unwelcome!” Mom calls from somewhere else in the house. Tim isn’t exactly sure where.
Robin’s face does something where he can’t tell if he thinks the scenario is really funny or super weird. “Joining for the holidays?”
“Beats watching my Mom and Dad get into a no-holds-barred screaming match about whether or not Santa Claus is real or not,” Danny grumbles, peeved. And then, realizing: “Oh, Tim. Jazz says hi.”
Oh, that’s nice. Tim hasn’t talked to her since she and Mom got into an argument about whether Tim ‘needed’ a therapist or not. Tim isn’t sure why. He’s pretty sure he’s fine.
2. untitled WIP that I genuinely haven't thought of a working name of yet
“Your you,” the kid continued proudly, pleased beyond measure. “I ate your piece!”
Tim takes a deep breath. The deep breath will not prevent him from losing his shit, but it will help.
Okay. A very small child ate his spleen. He will be so normal about that. He will be normal about that if it kills him.
“Can you explain,” Tim asks, in a tone that’s not not the voice of exaggerated patience Janet Drake used to use on investors who crossed her, “Why you ate my spleen?”
“It mine now! And now no more…no more new people,” the kid continues, wiping his face on Tim’s former blanket cape. It’s probably a self soothing gesture. It mostly looks like the kid is trying to clean his face off, which is gross. “‘Cause…tube babies. No new babies.”
…And the solution was somehow eating an internal organ, Tim guessed, failing to understand the logic. But. He had some pretty good guesses about Ra’s favor of him meant when tacked onto this new mention of tube babies. Considering that Damian had been a former occupant of an artificial womb, and Ra’s’d had access to Tim’s genetic material…
“What did it taste like?” Tim dared to ask, having run out of other questions to occupy the boy with.
“Bad!” Danny chirped.
Great.
3. At the time you asked this I'm pretty sure it was already Superboy instead of Demon!AU? Anyway, here's some future Blister Pack fic:
Conner hums, pleased. “You’d eat more.”
Is he blushing?? Tim better not be blushing. He’s not thinking about—he’s not thinking about how Conner wants him to eat more. How that means Conner’s been thinking about how much Tim eats. It doesn’t mean anything. He’s just…observational. That he pays attention, when they’re huddled up on Tim’s bed working to enable mass data destruction and corporate warfare.
It’s fine!! It’s so normal. They’re friends, even, apparently! Friends do that! Tim should not be blushing.
“If you were a villain?” Conner asks, and it takes a second for Tim to figure out where they were in a line of conversation.
“Oh!” Tim realizes. “Kon didn’t tell you that? I have, like, a whole future evil timeline and everything. There’s a gun, we take over the world—it’s, like, a whole deal. I had to defeat myself to save the wo—you know what? It’s not important. It was just. Bad.”
Conner looks at him. His head tilts, as if he could get a better measure of him if he just changed the angle. “Hm,” is all he says, blue-green eyes focused.
It is not a disapproving hm. If anything, it sounds…
Tim is going to die of blood loss if all of the hemoglobin in his body keeps shifting up into his face. “Anyway!” he cuts the conversation off brightly. Since we’re not planning corporate sabotage anymore, want to try a movie? You, me, some corn nuts?”
Conner nods. The small smile on his face makes Tim’s stomach flip-flop with emotions he is not going to name.
“Sure.”

From someone who has only seen a few DP episodes and absorbed the rest trough osmosis, here some cliff notes: Danny was 14 when he half-died in a portal to the ghost zone his mad scientist parents made. Only his friends knew and he became a superhero, punching the other ghosts back into the GZ. He's only popular with the teens (who think Human!Danny is a loser) Arch-enemy is parents' college friend also half dead Vlad who is obsessed with D's mom. V cloned D, only Dani was stable. (1/2)
Cliff notes 2/2: Danny defeated Ghost King in a duel. Friend Tucker is reincarnated Paraoh. Friend Sam was posessed by plant ghost. Valerie blames Phantom (D's ghostsona) for her father loosing his job and Vlad gave her a ghost-hunting suit that later got upgraded by Technus. Danny has an evil future self, that episode introduced Clockwork. It's also where D's big sis Jazz told him she knew about him being Phantom. I think that's most of what you need to know to get into Mortified.
This is a pretty good summary and includes the main things Mortified references, except for the GIW who are ghost hunting Men In Black stand-ins, and the Observants, eyeball ghosts who put a hit on Danny, but, man. Seeing you call Phantom Danny's ghostsona did something to me. It's accurate, but it did something. Not sure what, yet.

MSA X DP: The Ultimate Enemy Chapter 5: Clockwork shows pictures of what happened to Danny's, Sophie's, Dan's Families and Friends of Alternate Universes to killed/Danny, Sophie, Dan is going to High Schools
**after the battle of Danny, Sophie and Dan fights Box Lunch**
Box Lunch: Prepare for... Huh?
Danny: **singing** Box Lunch, **Raising one finger, he sends a focused beam at the Nasty Packet** BEWARE!
The Nasty Sauce packet swells then explodes, kicking Danny, Sophie and Dan through the wall and blowing the top off the Nasty Burger. Outside, a crowd of people look on, Lancer and other teachers in front. He raises his briefcase to shield his face from the flying debris, and a sauce-splattered Danny falls through it, intangible, to land next to Sam, Monty, Elise and Tucker Irving stumbles through the front door. Lancer and other teachers lowers his briefcase
Lancer: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance! Run!
Screaming, everyone but the trio runs
Tucker: Danny, who was that ghost you three were fighting?
Elise: Yeah?
Sophie: I think She's the daughter of the Box Ghost and the Lunch Lady, Box Lunch
Dan: Yeah
Elise, Tucker, Sam and Monty: Yikes
Danny: Actually, it's more of an eew. I don't know what's going on. **Looking down, he notices the CW medallion on the ground** But this medallion might give us a clue -- **He suddenly notices there is something stuck to his back, and peels it away. It's the C.A.T. answer packet** Oh my gosh, The answers to the C.A.T.s!
Sophie: Wow
Others: Oh my goodness
Clockwork: **watching the screen intently and gesturing** Now watch this. He'll make the right choice. And you'll see, you've got absolutely nothing to...
Danny: Hello, great future
Sophie: I love the great future
Dan: ???
Tucker: You're not actually thinking of peeking at the answers, are you?
Elise: or not?
Danny: Of course I am. **He reverts to human form** Aren't you?
Ghost Present: Phew...
Ghost Past: That was close
The Cloaked Hood 1 (Muffet Pepper's unknown father; ghost): If only muffet pepper was there with us
The Cloaked Hood 2 (Muffet Pepper's unknown mother; ghost): Me too
Clockwork's wide-eyed stare drops into a scowl
Observant 1: They's stolen the test answers
Observant 2: They's clearly going to cheat!
Observant 1 and Observant 2: They has your time medallion
Clockwork: You said that twice **switches to child form**
Observant 1: Destroy him now, Clockwork
The Cloaked Hood 1 and The Cloaked Hood 2 (Muffet Pepper's unknown parents; ghosts): **gasp**
Switching back to adult form, Clockwork sticks his hand in the opening of another gear
Clockwork: I know what I'm doing [The gear opening and his hand glow, and the opening resolves to a view of a robotic ghost] He put the answers to the test in his hands, and he made the wrong decision
Ghost Present: This is not right...
Ghost Past: (in her mind: Oh muffet, if only muffet were here)
In the viewer, we see the smoking wreck of the Nasty Burger. The viewer zooms closer, showing an exposed heating element by the Nasty Sauce tanks. The heat meter moves up to yellow. Clockwork punches a button on his staff, making the viewer go to static. It shows a still shot of Danny, Sophie and Dan fighting the robot ghost, then fighting his evil older self. It then shows his family and friends and Mr. Lancer bound and gagged with ectoenergy in the Nasty Burger, which then explodes, and Danny, Sophie and Dan shielding themselves against the blast then screaming "nooo!" Clockwork floats up in front of the viewer
Clockwork: [In old form] Their future is sealed
Ghost Present: (in his mind: Not good... they need them what they want...)
Ghost Past: Yeah... We'll see...
---COMMERCIAL BREAK---
At their schools The trio are walking down the hall
Sam: So, are you going to return the test answers or not?
Monty: Yeah?
Danny: We will! We will. I'm just...waiting for the right moment.
Sophie: Yeah, me too
Dan: Me three
Tucker: Like, maybe, after the test?
Elise: ???
Danny, Sophie and Dan frowns at Tucker
Tucker: Yeah, you're right. [As they pass by the teachers' lounge] You're not thinking about cheating on a test that you're convinced will determine your future
The door to the teacher's lounge opens, and Lancer looks after them quizzically. Shutting the door again, he goes to the sofa and sets the briefcase down on the coffee table. He pulls out a key and unlocks the briefcase, and gasps upon finding it empty,The scene goes to several Casper High, Mighty Falcon and University School girls and boys looking angry as Jazz, Arthur and Jane talks
Jazz: So, it's a choice between Harvard, Yale, and Stanford, and I can't make up my mind! [The girls and boys all turn and walk away, and Jazz's smile drops.] So...see you after school? No?
Arthur: I think that did not help
Jane: Yeah, i don't they don't like you're idea or something
Lancer: [walking up to Jazz, Arthur and Jane] Ms. Fenton, Mr Kingsmen and Ms Turner, may I speak with you three after school?
Jazz, Arthur and Jane looks alarmed
Scene shifts to FentonWorks at night. In Danny's room, the trio are sitting in a circle on the floor around Clockwork's medallion. Tucker connects a pair of wires from it to his PDA
Tucker: I can't seem to hack into it. It's really hi-tech
Elise: Yeah?
Sam: Yeah, like it's from the future or something
Monty: I agreed with Sam
Well, speaking of the future, I think it's time I started preparing for mine. [Picks up his backpack and stands]
Sophie: Or mine [Picks up her backpack and stands]
Sam: You both mean cheat
Sophie: What? No, that's insane
Danny: Yeah, We didn't say cheat
Tucker: You both didn't say "not" cheat
Elise: Yeah, u didn't say like that
Danny: [facepalming] Guys, come on. I'd love to have spent the last month studying, but We was fighting ghosts! Besides, if you four think this test is so meaningless [pulling out the answer packet and holding it up], why do you even care if I cheat? Why shouldn't I open this up and study the answers, huh?
Sophie: Yeah. right? hehehe...
Elise, Tucker, Sam and Monty look at each other
Danny: No answer? [Putting the packet on his dresser] Well that's all the answer We need [He looks down at the packet, hesitating]
Sophie: I agree with Danny [She looks down at the packet, hesitating]
Tucker: [To Sam] Aren't you going to say something?
Elise: Yeah, or not?
Sam: I'm his friend, not his mom. [Giving Danny a dirty look] If they wants to cheat, they can cheat
Danny, Sophie and Dan is still hesitating. Finally he goes for the seal and peels it up, but is interrupted by a blue light behind them. Tucker and Elise gapes and Sam and Monty gasps. The robot ghost seen earlier in Clockwork's viewscreen appears again. It's a combination of Skulker and Technus, with Skulker's head in the typical head spot and Technus's face embedded in its chest.
Sam, Monty, Elisa and Tucker: [sigh in relief] I mean... Oh no, a ghost!
Danny, Sophie and Dan goes ghost and leaps at the ghost, who easily backhands him into the wall. He slides to the floor and glares up.
Danny: Who are you supposed to be?
Sophie: Who are u?
Skulktech (Skulker): I am Skulktech 9.9, the future Ghost World's greatest hunter!
Skulktech (Technus): With its greatest technovillain as his operating system!
Danny, Sophie and Dan: Skulker and Technus together?
Tucker Is that an ew or a yikes?
Elise: or both?
Several claw-ended arms spring out of Skulktech
Danny: Definitely a yikes.
Sophie: I think yikes
Dan: Yeah, yikes
