Trailer park Steve AU part 45

Nancy, Jonathan, and some guy with the longest hair Steve's ever seen are standing in a loose circle with Eddie and his bandmates, talking and sort of dance-nodding along to The Power of Love by Huey Lewis (a fact that Steve absolutely intends to mock his boyfriend for the second he gets the chance), and Steve, like, mentally girds his loins.

He and Jon are cool with each other, and he and Eddie are obviously, uh, plenty warmed up to one another by now, but the rest of them...

One's a stranger, one's an ex who seems drunk as shit and is currently so invested in spinning around to the music that she hasn't opened her eyes to notice him, and the other three are thawing to him at a truly glacial pace. Steve hasn't so much as been invited to watch a rehearsal yet because Eddie's 'still working on them' and needs 'a bit more time, but don't worry, they'll come around.'

They don't openly scowl when he and Robin approach, though, so Steve takes that as a win.

"Harrington!" Eddie calls, bowing deeply to add, "Lady Buckley."

Steve would feel stung by the surname if not for how downright giddy Eddie sounds. God, he loves tipsy Eddie; fucking Disney cartoon boy.

"Munson," he plays along, giving him a sly grin and a shoulder bump as he sidles up next to him. "Didn't know you were allowed to leave the basement at these things."

Jeff interrupts his air-guitaring to glare at Steve, bur Eddie holds out a hand and assures him that Steve's just fucking around. Before Steve can apologize or defend himself, Long Hair Guy leans in across the circle, his eyes wide and intense and bloodshot to hell.

"Dude," he greets. "You have. Such beautiful hair."

Steve barks a laugh. Robin rolls her eyes. Jonathan also rolls his eyes, but it seems more fond and less annoyed. "Can't take you anywhere," he mutters to the guy, then asks them, "You guys met Argyle yet?"

Steve holds out a hand. Confusion washes over him as he processes what Jonathan just said. "Uh." Argyle. "Like the sweater?"

"Yeah, man," Argyle smiles, dopey and slow. Sure. The guy in head-to-toe tie-dye and a neon green fanny pack is named Argyle. Why not? "My parents wanted a sheep, but they got me, instead."

Jonathan laughs like it's the funniest joke he's ever heard. Steve's pretty sure he's too sober for this conversation.

They exchange handshakes, and Robin asks if she can touch the guy's hair, and they all slip into easy, friendly conversation, naturally splintering into smaller groups of twos and threes. Steve's just getting the rundown on all the 'sick new gear' the band got for Christmas when the song changes, and god, this night just could not get better.

"Oh, fuck off!" Eddie groans in the DJ's direction.

Steve has to practically swallow his lips to keep himself from cackling, and then he gives up and does it, anyway, because Eddie looks like he just sucked a lemon while watching a dog die as his bandmates all start sing-shouting along. "We're talking away..."

"No." Eddie wheels around and points a finger at Steve, because Steve's singing, too.

Steve just sings louder. "I don't know what, I'm to say!"

"Oh, my god." He scrubs a hand down his face, dragging the skin down until Steve can see the pale pink of his inner eyelid. "Nobody I know has any goddamn taste!"

"Maybe you don't have any taste!" Robin teases, bouncing around and swinging her arms haphazardly to the music.

Nancy backs her up with a mumbled "Yeah!" but she's still spinning around in such tight circles that Steve doubts she has a single clue what's happening in the argument right now. Which is kind of endearing, actually. He likes how willing she is to stick up for people.

The chorus kicks in; Gareth air-drums the switch to half time just before Frank does an honestly super impressive falsetto of 'in a day or twoooooo', and Eddie despairs while Steve laughs his fucking head off.

“Ba-by! Let’s go!” Your boyfriend walked out of your hotel bathroom, already dressed and ready to go for the day. You stirred in the bed at the sound of him clapping to wake you up. Travis threw himself on top of you as you were tucked comfortably under the blanket in a deep sleep. You let out a large grown to let him know you weren’t happy with him, but Travis didn’t care. You were at Disney World to celebrate his Super Bowl win and he was like a kid in a candy store- he needed to experience it all. “Travis, it is 6:30 in the fuckin’ morning. The park doesn’t open until 8AM and we are literally staying at the entrance of Magic Kingdom. PLEASE let me go back to sleep.” You threw the covers back over your head. Travis was already worked up, and when he got like this, there was pretty much no stopping him.

You took in the sight of your boyfriend on top of you. He looked cute in an army green tee and a matching bucket hat you had bought for him on a whim weeks ago. He layered some of his favorite necklaces. You grabbed him by the shirt collar and pulled him in for a deep kiss, your favorite wakeup call. “You excited?”, you asked him, knowing he definitely was. “Hell yeah! What’s not to be excited about? I just won the fuckin’ Super Bowl. I’m in the most magical place on earth, and I’m with my baby girl.” You blushed, Travis giving you another kiss. You picked up your phone off the nightstand, turning off your alarm. You snapped a picture of Travis, him giving you a cheesy smile. “What was that for?”, he asked as he made sure he looked good in the picture. “I want to document every minute of this trip. I’m so unbelievable proud of you and you deserve to have the best trip ever. “Can I have like five minutes of cuddles before we go to the park?” Travis thought about it for a second before he rolled off the bed, jumping to his feet. “Nope!”

“Travis, put me down!”, you could barely grab onto his arm as he lifted you bridal carry style and dropped you in the bathroom. He threw a change of clothes and a towel at you for you to shower with. “You’ve got 15 minutes, baby.” You threw your underwear at him as he slammed the door shut. “You might think that’s an insult, but you’re not getting these back now!“

You put on a pair of biker shorts and an oversized mickey t-shirts, putting on your fanny pack and slipping on your sneakers to finish the look. “I am not wearing this”, you shook your head when Travis handed you a pair of sparkly Minnie ears, putting on his own pair of Mickey ears. He gave you a pouty lip, and you immediately caved placing them on your head. “You know you’re gonna end up carrying these when I get tired of them, right?” Travis just smiled at you; nothing could ruin his mood today, even the threat of carrying his girlfriend’s things. “Alright now, let’s go!” “Wait!”, you stuffed your phone and ChapStick in your purse. “I need food first.”

With a churro in hand, you both headed into Magic Kingdom, Travis glancing down at the map of the park. He’d never gotten a chance to go to Disney World as a kid, so he was determined to ride every ride and get a picture with every character. He pulled out all the stops, including booking a private VIP tour, passes for Club 33, and dinner at Cinderella’s castle to end the day. You had trouble keeping up with Travis’ long legs as he walked down Mainstreet. “Travis, baby, wait.” He turned to you, grabbing a big bite of your churro. “I know you’re excited, but we’re here for five days. We have four parks to visit. We have to pace ourselves or we won’t make it through the whole trip.” Travis leaned down to give you a kiss, your ears bumping one another. “I’m sorry, I’m just so excited.” You pinched his side making him chuckle. "Don’t apologize, baby. I’m so excited to celebrate your win with you. We need to meet our guide over here.”

Your first stop was Adventureland, which had your favorite ride, “Pirates of the Caribbean”. You and Travis got in the front of the boat so you could experience the drop. A couple of fans tried to get Travis’ attention from the restaurant, and he gave them a wave and a smile. You ran your fingers through the cold water beside the boat, the smell of the chlorinated water reminding you of your childhood. You took in deep breath, and Travis gave you a funny look, his eyebrows scrunched together. “It sounds stupid, but the smell of this ride is so nostalgic for me.” Travis just pulled you in closer, placing a kiss on your forehead as you took off on the ride.

You had close to 10k steps before you even got to noon. Travis made for the best Disney buddy because he wanted to ride every ride, even the roller coasters. He had to talk you into riding ‘Space Mountain’ because you didn’t like rides that went backwards. “Come on baby, I’ll protect you.” You rolled your eyes at Travis who had his arms wrapped around you. “I don’t need protection, I need you to hold my barf bag.” Travis laughed, placing kisses all around your face making you giggle. “I can do that too.” He smacked your booty as he pushed you in front of him to get on the ride. The ride wasn’t actually that bad, and Travis laughing and making jokes made it better.

“Oh man, its Gaston!” Travis ran out in front of you when he spotted the villain. “Travis, watch out for the kids.” You laughed as you saw Travis standing in line with a bunch of kids half his size, waiting for their turn to take a photo. You managed to get photos with Cinderella, Rapunzel, and Winnie the Pooh, Travis sending all of them to the Kelce family group chat you had recently become a part of.

You were really excited to have dinner in Cinderella’s castle, mostly because you were begging to sit down, your feet numb from all of the walking that day. Travis pulled your chair closer to his, so you were sitting on the same side of the table, draping his arm over the back of your chair. You gave him a couple of pecks on the cheek while you waited for your dinner to be served. “I love you”, you admitted in between kisses. “And I’m so proud of your win. How do you feel?” Travis adjusted in his seat, taking a drink before answering. “Honestly? Fuckin’ amazing. And this is just the icing on the cake. I can’t wait to bring out kids here.” You choked on your drink, liquid spilling out of your nose. “I knew that would get you!” Travis laughed while patting your back.

“Very funny.” “I’m serious though. I want to be with you for the rest of my life, and I want to have kids with you. That’s all I could think about during the game. How happy I was that I had you to celebrate my life with.” You coughed again, trying to clear a sudden lump in your throat. “Wait, are you proposing to me?” Travis bends down out of his chair, getting down on one knee. “Travis, please get up. People are staring. ” You started panicking as Travis reached into his pocket. He pulled out his phone, snapping a pic of your surprised face. “You, bitch!” you slapped Travis’ chest as he got up to sit back in his chair, unable to control his laughter. “You are too easy, girl! I know you would never forgive me if I proposed to you in the state of Florida.”

“You’re an ass, you know that?” Travis leaned in to give you another kiss. “An ass that loves you.”

It was dark by the time you both finished dinner, so you decided to head out to get a good view for the fireworks. With your guide, you were able to get a perfect view on the front side of the castle, no one standing in front of you. You slumped into Travis’ arms, the heat and humidity draining your energy. All you wanted now was to take a hot shower and get into bed. The fireworks started, and you instantly had a burst of energy, the show electric. You pulled your boyfriend into a kiss, the fireworks a perfect background to your love. You may have gotten a little handsy, very inappropriate for a family environment, but you didn’t care.

“Come on, get on my back.” Travis turned so you could jump up and get a piggyback ride. “No, that’s okay. Can you hold my bag and ears, though?” You voice sounded tired and miserable. “Of course, baby.” He slung your fanny pack around his shoulder, grabbing your hand as you headed back to the hotel.

woke up with this thought in my brain and can’t go back to sleep, so fuck it TBB at Disneyland headcanons:

-Omega: wants to go on every ride and see the parades and fireworks. A little overwhelmed by the crowds but with her brothers there she can kinda ignore all the people around. Especially likes Adventureland & Frontierland. She absolutely loves the rollercoasters and thrill rides, but is still charmed by all the gentle story rides as well. Though she’s maybe a touch old for it, seeing the characters walking in the parks has her mesmerized and while shy about it definitely wants to meet a few of them and get the pictures with the characters and her brothers. She insists on picking out a photo album for the trip at one of the gift shops. Favourite ride is definitely Smugglers Run, but only when she and Tech get to pilot together. Runner up is Space Mountain.

-Hunter: wears earplugs to not be overwhelmed by everything around him. Is stressed about the potential of losing Omega in the crowd the whole time. He does enjoy the story rides, with the exception of Small World where it’s the same loud song over and over again. He definitely buys them all matching shirts in case they get separated and has the Disney Dad cargo shorts/fanny pack going on. Definitely insists on some afternoon downtime away from the park so that Omega can keep having a good time without getting exhausted. Will buy Omega anything she asks for and is just here to make sure she has a good time. Favourite ride is Pirates as it’s dark and cool and relatively gentle.

-Wrecker: absolutely loves Disneyland just for the experience of being there. Loves the way each area feels separate from each other and insists it’s magic (and refuses to listen to Tech explain anything). Insists he and Omega try the specialty churros from every cart. Puts Omega on his shoulders so she has a good view of the parades. He doesn’t fit in all the rides, especially the older ones, but absolutely loves the thrill rides alongside Omega (with the exception of Guardians as he doesn’t like the drop ride sensation as it feels like he’s falling). His favourite though has to be the Cars Racers.

-Crosshair: pretends to not be enamoured with the place the whole time. Grumps about wait times and the amount of people. Absolutely is scanning the crowd the whole time for any potential threats to Omega. Does drop the facade when on one of the midway rides where he becomes hyper competitive and into it. Pretends not to be affected by the thrill rides but shrieks in terror the whole time the ride is running. He is keeper of the backpack full of healthy snacks, water bottles, and sunscreen, which he insists on reapplying to Omega’s face after every ride. Favourite ride is Astro blasters

-Echo: he’s just happy to be there, goes along with everything Omega wants to do and is chill about it the whole time. He’s the one reminding them all to eat real meals instead of just junk food all day. He does insist on Omega getting a pair of ears, and doing the classic Disney experiences like meeting a character and doing the castle photo op. He definitely buys her a plush at some point during the day and is happy to hold it for her when she’s eating sticky snacks with Wrecker. Definitely has the wet ones and hand sanitizer in his bag. Favourite ride is Jungle Cruise for the jokes.

-Tech: has the days planned down to the second through the app. Is in charge of all lightning lanes and dining and is absolutely gaming the system. In fact, he’s probably hacked the app with how many lightning lanes they seem to be getting. He definitely gets Omega to build a droid, with a lot of input from himself on the best possible build. Also enjoys the thrill rides, but is definitely mentally going over the safety points of each ride while they’re in the line (and sometimes discussing the gruesome details of similar rides failing). He’s secretly planned princess dining for Omega, as well as character breakfasts. His favourite ride is Rise of the Resistance for the technological marvel of it, but Soaring is also good.

Happy Mother’s Day - Duck family - Grandma Duck with her grandchidren and great-grandchildren - Della Duck with her sons and Daisy Duck with her nieces - Duckverse and Quack Pack - Duck Family in Quack Pack AU

Although I'm late, I certainly wish all mothers, grandmothers and aunts a happy Mother's Day!

Yes, it depends on the country (in Mexico it is celebrated on May 10th, in Britain on March 10th, in some Orthodox countries it is two weeks before Christmas), but generally it is taken on the second Sunday of May and yes, the mother is an extremely important figure in the family because it gives offspring and preserves it and takes care of it. Also, there is a lot of religious significance, especially in the Christian one, when you look at Mary, the mother of Jesus, who took care of Jesus until Jesus started his activity and teaching others. Also, there are a lot of fictional mothers in various literary works, films, plays, comics, video games and cartoons of various genres. Well, it's the same in Donald Duck comics and Donald Duck cartoons, which I'm particularly attached to.

Of course, so that I didn't do anything related to that holiday (and there will be those drawings for sure), I will post earlier drawings like the ones I did last year, only on this blog of mine where I publish my drawings, otherwise I did this last year related to Duckvember themed around mother ducks. I chose three maternal figures from the Duckverse (Disney comics and Ducktales) namely Grandma Duck, Daisy and Della Duck.

The first drawing was related to the 80th anniversary of her first appearance, and I mean Grandma Duck (Elvira Coot). And certainly she is responsible for the development of Donald Duck, as well as his sister and his cousins. And all her children are together, some around her and some in the portraits. Yes, I drew Grandma Duck (Elvira Coot) as I envision her in the Quack Pack version, as well as the rest of the Duck family. Yes, she's alive in my version of the Quack Pack AU, only she's much older, but mostly she's happy to have living descendants around to take care of her. Especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The other drawing I did was Della Duck with her sons, Huey, Dewey and Louie plus Phooey Duck (Donald’s fourth lost nephew) and Daisy Duck with her nieces, April, May and June Duck. Della and Daisy are mother figures to them, and their children are teenagers. Yes, as in the previous drawing, I drew in the Quack Pack version or the way I imagine. I hope you like it. "A big part of why this was shut down is the exact same reason as to what makes it great, and one of the most unique attractions of any disney park- The more mature theming, shown off with X-S Tech's blatant greed, hubris and downright maliciousness, and the overstimulating *horror* seen in the main teleportation chamber? I don't think we'll ever find in a newer ride again. Not to mention, the "deco tech" visual style found throughout is one of the coolest aesthetic blends I've ever seen!! And if all of that doesn't get you... Skippy will. Cutest animatronic this side of the galaxy, with a wonderful voice to boot. He's even got not one, not three, but Five different plush variants you could take home!! big, small, smaller, backpack or fanny pack- it's your choice :] "

The opulence of the 1950s gave way to the structured, office wear inspired clothing of the 1960s with structured pinafores and tailored trousers for both boys and girls. It wasn't all serious, however; the 1960s birthed an explosion of colour with vibrant magentas, vivid teals and sunny yellows gaining popularity in children's clothing.

By the 1970s, this colour explosion began to die out in favour of more muted browns, oranges and greens. Flared trousers were in vogue for boys and girls as clothing began to become more unisex, though pinafores and dresses remained popular for little girls.

Children's clothing in the 1980s can only be described using one word: zany. Bold colours and even bolder patterns gained popularity: they featured in everything from matching sweatsuits to fanny packs. Acid washed jeans along with converse high-tops became staples for girls and boys.

The 1990s took the casual style of the '80s further. Boys' clothing was baggy in fit, ranging from comfortable tracksuits to relaxed cargos. For girls, this was largely similar although there was an emergence of "preppy" fashion in the mid 90s. Pleated plaid skirts and button up shirts rose in popularity accessorised with knee high socks.

Y2K saw the emergence of a celebrity culture that remains today. Children, particularly girls, wanted to dress like their favourite tv characters so the bright and often excessive outfits feature on tv channels like disney and nickelodeon were emulated. For boys, skater culture was on the rise so baggy cargos, t-shirts and polos were staples.

By 2010, the extravagance of y2k petered out replaced with preppy, "business casual" inspired outfits. Kidswear began to emerge as a legitimate field in fashion and designers did their best to combine comfort with style sometimes leading to disastrous combinations such as hoodies paired with blazers.

The widespread usage of social media in the 2020s has led to what some call "the disappearance of the awkward phase". Children's wear is often times indistinguishable from adults just like in the 19th century, however, now comfort is very much prioritised. This decade has seen the resurgence of many styles of previous decades: oversized sweatshirts and hoodies paired with flared or baggy jeans are popular along with shoes like uggs and crocs.

Duckvember - Mother Duck (Ducks) - Duck Family in Quack Pack AU

Although I'm late, I definitely drew two drawings related to the Duckvember theme of mothers. I chose three maternal figures from the Duckverse (Disney comics and Ducktales) namely Grandma Duck, Daisy and Della Duck.

The first drawing is my redraw from my old drawing plus I drew this as a birthday for Grandma Duck, or the best mommy duck, or grandma duck. Admittedly belated, but it is certainly the 80th birthday or anniversary since she first appeared. It first appeared in one of the comic strips by Al Taliaferro and Bob Karp on September 27, 1943. And certainly she is responsible for the development of Donald Duck, as well as his sister and his cousins. And all her children are together, some around her and some in the portraits. Yes, I drew Grandma Duck (Elvira Coot) as I envision her in the Quack Pack version, as well as the rest of the Duck family.

The other drawing I did was Della Duck with her sons, Huey, Dewey and Louie plus Phooey Duck (Donald's fourth lost nephew) and Daisy Duck with her nieces, April, May and June Duck. Della and Daisy are mother figures to them, and their children are teenagers. Yes, as in the previous drawing, I drew in the Quack Pack version or the way I imagine. I hope you like it. 46. Lady and the Camp

Another newer episode for me!

I cannot get over how adorable Queenie is in this episode. With her little fanny pack and sneakers and everything. I was going to draw her all "Disney Princess tm" but then I remembered how much I liked the Tweedle's song and I decided to go with that one instead.

Also, I think this is one of the only episodes where we actually see the Caterpillar walk. If you can call what he does walking, idk. XD He dragged himself a few feet, which is more than we've seen him do.

((I am not a fan of tent camping for more than a coupe nights, but I can certainly see the appeal. I think I'm more of a cabin in the woods type of wilderness seeker.))
