Tarkus: Good morning.
Thaddeus: Good morning.
Cyrus: Good morning.
Force Commander: You all sound like robots, try spicing it up a bit.
Avitus: MORNING MOTHERFUCKERS!
-
Force Commander: ...I'm pretty sure that place is fire-proof, or something.
Cyrus (charge in hand): Alright, but is it explosion-proof?
-
Tarkus: I think Avitus is mad at you.
Thaddeus: What makes you say that?
Tarkus: Because he’s cleaning up the mess you made and asked me to deliver this to you.
Thaddeus (reading the note): "Dear brother, I hope this note finds you before I do."
-
Tarkus: I think Cyrus was right.
Avitus: I'm surprised he hasn't marched in here to say 'I told you so.'
Thaddeus: He wouldn't do that.
Cyrus: You're right, Thaddeus. For once in your life, you're 100% right. I would never say that.
Cyrus: *turns around, the shirt he’s wearing says 'Told You So' on the back*
-
Avitus: Get this alien-filth off of me!
Thaddeus (monotone): Stop. Liktor. No.
-
Thule, as a Cyborg: Nobody can get the truth out of me because even I don’t know what it is. I keep myself in a constant state of utter confusion.

Thaddeus: What do you think Cyrus will do for a distraction?
Force Commander: He’ll probably, like, make a noise or throw a rock. That’s what I would do.
*Building explodes and several car alarms go off*
Force Commander: ... or he could do that.
-
Force Commander: What did you guys get in your yearbook?
Thaddeus: 'Prettiest Smile'
Tarkus: 'Nicest Personality'

Thaddeus: Dumb?
Avitus: Disliked?
Force Commander: -done with their work... what is wrong with you people?

Tarkus: Will you guys stop fighting?
Thaddeus: We are not fighting; we are having a creative discussion.
Avitus: We are too fighting.
Thaddeus: Creative discussion!
Avitus: Fight!
Thaddeus: Discussion!
Tarkus: I can’t believe you guys are fighting about if you’re having a fight!
-
Tarkus: Just be yourself. Say something nice.
Avitus: Which one? I can’t do both.
-
Force Commander: Violence isn't the answer.
Thaddeus: You’re right.
Force Commander: *sighs in relief*
Thaddeus: Violence is the question.
Force Commander: What?
Thaddeus (bolting away): And the answer is yes.
Force Commander (running after him): NO-

Avitus: Sometimes when I rant about Guardsmen I forget to breathe and I pass out.

Cyrus (probably to Thaddeus): Listen to you. Something wonderful happens and all you can think about is how the world’s going to take it away. You’re growing up.
-
Avitus: When I first met you, I did not like you.
Thaddeus: I'm aware of that.
Avitus: But then you and me spent some time together.
Thaddeus: Uh huh?
Avitus: It did not get better.
-
Force Commander: It’s only stupid if we die doing it. Otherwise, it’s heroism.

Following from my other headcanon post on what happened with Katsuki's arm, I've decided to dig into the immediate aftermath of the war and his hospitalisation + healing process!
This is possibly subject to change based on how the manga goes. Warning for some heavy hospital and medical talk!
IMMEDIATE AFTERMATH.
In the manga, as you might remember for you manga readers like me, Katsuki has passed out near a playground - I highly doubt that he'll be getting up again, but even if he does (by nothing short of a miracle), the repercussions are going to be immense. When the war draws to a close and Katsuki is taken to the nearest hospital, I really don't think he'll be waking up anytime soon.
We have to remember that he revived himself with his Quirk. Not only that, but Edgeshot was still working hard to ensure that Katsuki was functioning enough on his own before he left him to All For One. Combine it with the damage he's sustained in the previous battle - which Edgeshot could not have repaired all on his own - and the likelihood of Katsuki getting back up straight away from this is exponentially low. He spent two days down after the Paranormal Liberation War.
I'm estimating that he spends at LEAST a week comatose, or drifting in and out of fitful sleep, before he actually maintains any sort of lucid consciousness. Here are my main reasons:
Recovery Girl is not a be-all, end-all cure. Her Quirk uses the energy of the recipient to hasten the progress of healing, yes, but she cannot push the recipient beyond their limit lest she set them back. Katsuki's body is already under stress trying to heal naturally. Beyond her Quirk use to save Katsuki's arm, it's likely that she can't spare more of his energy to heal elsewhere, and thus he needs to continue some of his recovery naturally.
Eri's Quirk does not have the energy for a Rewind that significant. Also, she's just a kid. Let's not use her as a means to heal every single person that's sustained injuries during this war.
There is a lot of damage to cover. Even though Edgeshot repaired his organs and they were perfectly sufficient to ensure he could function again, they still endured a lot of stress and have not had the chance to heal per se. Internal injuries are tricky. This isn't even mentioning the numerous bone breaks, the muscle damage, tendons, complications with joints... Beyond his arm, we're looking at ribs and sternum for other bones. Hell, the musculature system connected to the bones is extremely complex too, and they would've been impacted. We know that Katsuki's lungs and heart took the brunt of the damage in the fight against Shigaraki. Yeah, there's a lot to heal - and with his limited energy, it's going to take a while.
Credit where credit is due: Edgeshot is the reason Katsuki does not need organ transplants. And while I'm definitely considerate of the fact that Edgeshot also repaired any damage to blood vessels that required it (specifically the most vital ones), I doubt he could've done more with the bones save for maybe... Weaving them into place, almost. And THAT would only be a temporary fix to prevent shards of bone re-puncturing the organs.
I would say that in this period, Katsuki is much more susceptible to viral and bacterial infection. Bacterial infection is increasingly likely; even if he was taken to hospital as soon as they found him, and Edgeshot sanitised himself before performing surgeries, it is increasingly likely Katsuki will endure complications because he went back into a fight the moment he woke up. Not only that, but he did so in agony.
Working on the fact that Katsuki had surgery to his heart and lungs, therefore we could call it a sort of thoracic surgery (because, you know, it's the chest region)... No wonder my guy was suffering. Have you ever looked into all the things people are not meant to do post-op for these things?
Dudes, I only considered that he'd need heavy pain medication for his arm - but he's probably drugged to absolute hell and back for his chest ALONE. On top of the fact that thoracic surgery is often described to be excruciatingly painful, but an operation like that still leaves room for potential complications like pneumonia, and it's possible his lungs are still trying to recover from collapsing in the first place. So considering that, he'd need oxygen treatment to ensure healthy oxygen saturation... They'd even have to watch his heart to make sure that there is no cardiac arrhythmia.
There's also the possibility of Katsuki developing post-thoracotomy pain syndrome, which means feeling pain in his chest months after the fact.
To summarise the immediate aftermath:
Katsuki is hospitalised and treated for injuries that weren't initially or completely repaired - or were exacerbated from his fight with AFO.
Injuries that they have to accommodate for include the impromptu thoracic surgery Edgeshot performed on Katsuki, the numerous fractured and broken bones, damage to the musculature and any connecting tissues, as well as torn tendons.
Katsuki likely develops infection; pneumonia, namely. He has no other post-op infections thanks to Edgeshot's use of Wash's bubble and proper care from the hospital.
Recovery Girl is called in to administer treatment of her own, specifically to fix bone placement first, and he is put on oxygen treatment and analgesia (heavy painkillers) to take the edge off.
He remains in a comatose state - or, he is in and out of consciousness - for the next week.
AWAKENING.
After about a week of fighting infection and his energy being poured into healing all of his wounds, Katsuki manages to hold onto consciousness. He can talk, answer questions, and take in a few visitors - though said visitors have to take precautions, because of his recovering state. He's still quite disjointed, but stubbornly coherent enough to ask of the end result for the war, as well as Izuku's whereabouts, then the class, his teachers, etc.
At this stage, Katsuki is encouraged to get up and move with others to promote the use of his organs after being out for so long. He also has to do deep breathing and coughing to keep his lungs active. Overall, though, he isn't doing too much, because his doctors don't want to set him back - they just resolved his previous infection, so it's pain management and post-op care now that he was awake to participate.
The road to recovery is shortened by advancements in medical technology and the presence of healing Quirks like Recovery Girl's, but that doesn't mean Katsuki isn't spending time in the hospital. There are a few intense days of rigorous healing, monitoring, pain management, and overall care before he's discharged to go home. (Without advancements, Katsuki would've been looking at another week-long stay. The combined damage of his arm and his chest makes his hospitalisation period lengthy as it is, but it's a small blessing he doesn't have to stay nearly as long as he might've with the absence of healing Quirks.)
As a generalisation of what his subsequent days would've looked like after waking:
There is frequent pulse checks, heart monitoring, and he often has blood taken to check his levels. If he is low on blood count in general - which is unlikely, as it was one of the first things remedied - then there is a transfusion of platelets and blood cells.
He is given breakfast. On the first day, he is unsuccessful stomaching it, but they wait until lunch to determine if he needs intervention.
After a dose of analgesia and his first deep breathing exercise of the day, Katsuki is encouraged with staff support to get up and walk around. It's difficult with the equipment attached to him, but they make it as easy as they can.
Lunch is served. On the first day, Katsuki keeps it extremely light, and he manages to stomach it on this attempt. He has no complications after this. His second breathing exercise occurs.
He is administered Recovery Girl's treatment after lunch and ends up resting through the majority of the afternoon. His third breathing exercise is just before dinner.
They encourage him to get up and move again after dinner. On the third day of this, he stubbornly attempts to do this himself, and he stumbles a few times without support. He doesn't fall. Doctors and nurses reprimand him for a reckless action, but if he hasn't seen many of his friends by now, he'll insist on their visits as a means of justifying his stubbornness.
The final breathing exercise occurs before he sleeps... Well, part of his sleep. It's broken into three parts due to checks throughout the night.
Note that he's doing this with only one arm in action. It's impressive just how much Katsuki does in this short timeframe.
DISCHARGE.
This one I'm going to try and keep brief, but Katsuki is discharged and left in his parents' care once the doctors have no reason to keep him in the hospital.
On top of the numerous setbacks enlisted about his arm, they tell him to only have frequent walks, no heavy lifting, and to have frequent check-ups with their physicians until he makes a full recovery. The timeframe for the full recovery is hastened thanks to Recovery Girl's treatment (so instead of ~6-12 weeks, look at more 4-8 weeks), but it still takes time - and his contact with the hospital seems unending for the first two weeks after discharge. Longer, when they want to check up on him every few months after he resumes his hero training.
Katsuki doesn't return to the dorms until the end of his first week at home. Even then, the school has to keep a rigorous eye on him to ensure that he doesn't push it beyond what he's been allowed to do - which, thankfully, he doesn't. He's not so reckless that he'll set his healing progress back, especially in knowing the repercussions of doing so.
The main thing is that Katsuki still has to take regular pain medication while keeping up his exercises, and I think that his parents likely agreed that he would have better luck in doing so if he was surrounded by his friends at the dorms. He cannot use his right arm and cannot join on any heroics until his doctors are sure that he is healed enough to do so. It frustrates him, but that's also why he's back at the dorm with his friends: they help him keep a level head while reminding him what he's working for.
(And as for recurrent pain, I think that Katsuki's efforts to stick to the healing process given has almost completely diminished the possibility. However, I like to think that he does experience a sort of phantom pain under specific circumstances.)

Note
my dad has decided that gunpowder tim vs the moon kaiser is about world war 1
This is very funny to me - it's like saying your dad decided High Noon Over Camelot is about the wild west, or Ulysses Dies at Dawn is about film noire. Like, yeah, Gunpowder Tim is riffing on WWI - almost all the songs are based on old soldiers songs from the war, the tunnel-fighting is inspired by trench warfare, and the last time Germany had a "Kaiser" was Kaiser Wilhelm II, who abdicated after the German surrender.
Genuinely curious as to what you thought it was about, if you didn't have WW1 as a cultural touchstone?

THE GREAT WAR — PART II TEASER
Giyuu’s Flashback • Secret Pregnancy AU
Tumblr media
A/N: don’t think I’ve forgotten about these two!
Enjoy a small teaser featuring a key flashback for Giyuu from Part II of TGW. As I said in the notes for Part I, this is a non-linear story, and this flashback in particular is something referenced in Part I, while Reader is patching Giyuu’s wound up (a hint: Giyuu’s particular questioning about Reader’s choice of perfume oils).
Enjoy a little humor and a very, very flustered Water Pillar.
CW: accidental spying while Reader is bathing • Giyuu gets horny but doesn’t realize why • Giyuu is an idiot
READ PART I HERE
Tumblr media
The shop vendor continued to gape after the woman long after she disappeared into the bustling crowd. Mildly, Giyuu noted that he’d polished the same dish two times over, unable to break free from his trance.
“Was that not the most beautiful woman you’ve ever seen?”
“I did not notice.” He replied, chewing thickly on his mouthful of udon. The vendor raised a single, skeptical eyebrow at his dismissiveness but said nothing more, and for that Giyuu was grateful.
He hated small talk, especially when he was trying to enjoy his meal. If anything, it only took away from the experience, ensuring that half his food ended up everywhere — his lap, the counter — but his mouth.
Besides, the Merchant’s attempt to engage him on this particular subject was rather pointless. In truth, Giyuu never really found anyone beautiful — not really. Though, he supposed as he shoved down another mouthful of his soup, perhaps that was because he’d never truly bothered to pay attention to anyone to definitively say one way or another. Paying attention to something as trivial as one’s physical appearance meant he wasn’t focusing on that which truly mattered — like signs of demons, of things going bump in the night.
And Giyuu Tomioka did not tolerate distractions.
With a grimace, he drained the last of the broth from his bowl and tossed a handful of change on the counter for payment. He only nodded curtly at the cook in farewell before he set off, ready to do one final patrol through the forest leading to his home before he would return and await his next orders.
The sleepy forest absorbed the sound of his footsteps as Giyuu made his way through the unmarked path he’d established as the final length of his patrol through the small, mountainous region in which he was assigned. Judging by the faint chirps of the earliest birds beginning to sound from the canopy of trees above, he knew dawn was close, and thus, his vigil was coming to an end.
The night had been relatively quiet, and so Giyuu allowed his thoughts to roam to the Shrine at the other end of the forest. He wondered whether its grounds were already abuzz with trainee priestesses and groundskeepers, as they flurried around to take care of their morning duties before breakfast was served.
Truthfully, his mind was only interested in the activities of one particular trainee, but the Water Pillar had no reason to drop by the once-reverent shrine, and so, he decided to stick to his current route, and then he’d make his way back for a few hours’ rest. If anything were amiss at the shrine, one of the crows he’d stationed there would alert him.
As Giyuu began to make the loop that would lead him back to his barren estate, a shift in the wind brought a change in scent from that of the usual dirt-pine-molded earth odor he’d always associated with the woods, to something softer; sweeter.
The Water Pillar frowned as the early morning breeze wafted more of the peculiar scent towards him. The herbal-floral fragrance was out of place amidst the familiar, damp rot of the forest, and it made him uneasy. Giyuu had long since learned that things that were out place usually spelled trouble, and where there was trouble, there was usually demon activity afoot.
That was all it took for him to change his course of action. With a fluid deftness that came only from years of having to tread lightly to avoid being ripped apart, Giyuu moved through the forest towards the source of the scent, it’s pull growing thicker as he drew nearer.
A cursory glance toward the canopy of the forest above him revealed a lightening sky; the stars had long since winked out, and the Water Pillar knew that the sun was well on its way to breaking over the horizon. But until that time arrived, the threat of demon activity persisted, and this unknown scent was far too close to not investigate.
Besides, if there was a demon in this forest, that meant it could stumble upon the Shrine at any moment, and that was a risk Giyuu would not take.
He took off in a silent run, eyes peeled to track any movement in the dark, his ears pricked for the slightest signal of something misplaced — an odd crack of a branch, or the sudden silence of the rising, tittering birds.
As the trail of strange floral perfume grew stronger, so too, did the distinct aquatic scent of nearby water. His eyes narrowed; only a few feet ahead, the trees thinned into a line before giving way to a large gap.
A clearing. One that housed a sizeable waterfall, judging by the telltale sound of roaring water as it smashed into a cluster of rocks below. He eased into a stealthy prowl toward the opening, his body alert and poised to respond to any threat that awaited him beyond the darker of the forest.
But all was quiet; yet, years spent within the Corps had ingrained within him a deep mistrust of silence. And so, Giyuu lingered in the shadows of the trees surrounding the small waterfall as he watched, waiting.
The raven-haired slayer’s attention snapped to a small disturbance over by the bank of the waterfall. The sky had lightened enough that he could make out a figure, clad in white, knelt down in the shallow of the river basin.
Giyuu’s hand drifted to the hilt of his sword, but as his eyes further adjusted, he felt his mouth go dry.
Silhouetted against the faint glow emitting from the waterfall and the rapidly lightening sky, Y/N sharpened into focus as she waded deeper into the pool, a small bucket cradled in her arms.
She was not dressed in her usual, traditional Miko attire; rather, she was clad only in a thin white kimono that clung wetly to her hips as she moved towards the waterfall. She paused at the base of the gentle flow of river from the cliff above, and she pulled a small vial from her bucket that she uncorked with one hand.
The shrine maiden poured the contents of the glass over her head, the liquid too viscous to be water. Giyuu closed his eyes and sniffed the air, and he noted that the scent of herbs and flowers now hung in the air like a thick perfume.
The Water Pillar’s gaze snapped back down to the vexatious Miko just as she filled her bucket with water from the fall. With a grace that he hadn’t realized the young woman possessed, Y/N lifted the pail over her head and tipped its contents over, allowing the water to pour down her frame, drenching her.
A cleansing ritual, Giyuu realized as he watched her repeat the process once more. And a very old one at that; he wasn’t sure many shrine maidens still partook in the rite.
Though, Giyuu supposed, it would make sense that Y/N would not only know of the outdated ceremony, but that she would practice it, given that she’d been raised by a grandmother who insisted on abiding by tradition at all cost.
He hadn’t realized that the mere observation of a cleansing rite meant that its participant would look the way Y/N did, standing in the cool spring, clad in nothing but a thin white gown that the water had nearly turned transparent. The Water Pillar’s worked to swallow around the lump that had formed in his throat as Y/N’s water-soaked kimono clung to her skin, revealing the soft, rounded curve of her backside and the delicate length of her legs that Giyuu hadn’t realized she possessed under the loose layers of her shrine outfit.
Giyuu shifted his weight in the tree, inexplicably enraptured by the Miko’s morning ritual to realize he’d startled a small bird into flight.
Y/N whipped around at the disturbance and the ravenette shrank further back into the shadows, his cheeks feeling bizarrely warm at the sight of the young woman now facing his direction.
Giyuu chanced a glance back at the Miko just as the sun broke over the horizon, its pale golden light reflecting off the calm surface of the spring, casting Y/N in the hoary glow of the cascading waterfall.
She looked…like she did not belong in this world. Her hair hung around her shoulders and down to her waist, and the spray of the waterfall clung to the strands like thousands of glittering stars. Her eyes were sharp and bright as they scanned the tree line for the source, her soft, reddened lips twisted down into an uncharacteristic frown.
Giyuu kept his assessment of her form, so stripped back and vulnerable, confined strictly to her face. It was bad enough that the sight of Y/N, standing in the luminescent water, had sent his pulse skyrocketing; he did not trust what would happen if he allowed his gaze to drop lower, to where that diaphanous kimono covered her chest.
Perhaps there was a perfectly logical explanation for his strange reaction to the image of Y/N, standing in the pool, that had nothing to do with her at all. He wondered whether some of the herbs she’d used in her cleansing oil could impart a physical effect on those exposed to their concentrated fragrance; Giyuu made a mental note to find a casual way to ask her, the next time he saw her.
Y/N turned away from him once more as she began to wade back over to the bank of the spring. Now that the sun had risen, Giyuu could spy the familiar white and red cloth of her kosode and hakama pants, folded in a neat bundle atop a small boulder.
Before the sun could chase away the shadows of the forest and reveal his presence, Giyuu turned away and retreated, willing himself not to ponder on the fact that she’d changed clothes, in the middle of a dark forest, just prior to his arrival.
Though, his commitment to not thinking about how the shrine maiden may have looked as she discarded her usual attire in favor of the flimsy bathing kimono she’d been wearing meant that Giyuu’s traitorous thoughts wandered instead to the memory of her standing hip-deep in the spring. His mind struggled to categorize the mental image of her — she was the same Y/N he’d come to know, and yet, something about her was different, though he couldn’t, for the life of him, figure out what it was.
The word he’d been searching for came to him not long after the sun had fully risen in the early summer sky, just as the sloped roof of his manor came into view.
Beautiful, Giyuu decided. Y/N was beautiful.

DÉPAYSEMENT // i.
Tumblr media
Summary: you had volunteered to parttake in a time travel experiment, thinking that this attempt would also fail just like the others but never giving up an opportunity to learn, so what happens when the experiment does end up successful? trapped in the period of the greatest civil war, you try to not interfere between those events while trying to figure out a way back hopelessly, until you bump into none another than Aemond targaryen.
Aemond targaryen x Modern!Fem!Reader
Warnings: none for this chapter but keep in mind that this is a 18+ fic cause this will contain mature themes and smut so minors please do not interact, changes in canon plot, kind of book!aemond(?)
also this is my first ever story, and my writing is really amateurish 😭 so please forgive me, + not proofread.
next ->
masterlist.
You had not realised what you were signing up for, when you volunteered for participating in a time travel experiment, eager to learn about how these experiments are conducted. All the previous experiments have failed, and this might too, or so you had thought.
Until you blinked and found yourself in an unknown place, a place all too familiar but also different at the same time, and it was only then it had dawned on you that the experiment was successful. Doom settled in your core, this wasn't what you had expected.
As you took in your surroundings you had realised how helpless you were in the situation, with no way to go back to your era unless they come to fetch you, surely they must've been surprised that it had worked and overjoyed but you just felt fear, hoping they would not abandon you and find a way to bring you back, till then all you have to do is avoid drawing attention.
It was more easier said than done, you noticed the confused stares of the commoners, they had simply assumed you came from another land due to your attire as they were uneducated, the backpack you carried, which thankfully came with you, had food, and slowly you were beginning to run out of it, you thought it would be okay since you had money.
But once again you realised that paper currency was not a thing, nor were your credit or debit cards, they were now just pieces of paper and plastic cards that had no use in this era. You might as well be considered a peasant now.
And just as you were strolling through the streets, you bump into someone running which causes you to stumble and fall along with the person who bumped into you, his cloak fell open and his short hair was revealed. You had immediately recognized the man, It was Aegon ii Targaryen.
He grunted and got up from the floor before he ran again, not even bothering to apologize to you first, you just brushed it off, deciding not to dwell on it too much as it was not your place, if you had assumed right, this would be the event when Aegon had ran away until he was caught by his brother, Aemond Targaryen.
During history lessons back in high school, you were taught about your nation's history, which included the Targaryens, they are still very much alive and prominent in the modern world too, but not as rulers since the days of monarchy came to an end. Yet now it's odd to see how different they are.
A few moments have passed since your last encounter with Aegon, you had realised you ended up in Lanes of Silk Street as you noticed how the attire of the women had changed, revealing more of their skin and legs. And that's when you notice a person wearing a hooded cloak and another dressed in common attire strolling down the lanes, you obviously were able to recognize aemond, the cloak making it obvious that he's hiding his hair and the most noticeable thing of him, his eyepatch.
You had hoped they had not noticed your presence and foreign attire as you looked down and went past them, thinking you made it safely you let out a sigh of relief, way too loudly than you intended to. Which caught the attention of Aemond and he turned to look at you.
“Stop right there.” you heard him say which made you freeze up in your spot and you turned to look at him, he looked at you questioningly before he moved and stopped in front of you, the brown haired man follows him before whispering in his ear, telling aemond that they don't have any time to waste on you.
He nods before giving you a questioning look and making his way back again, you had let a false sense of safety come over you, thinking that he would never find you again, that you can escape and that these encounters had changed nothing, why would they? They were just minor interactions after all.
How wrong you were.
The butterfly effect is real.
Small changes leading to bigger impact in the complex system.
You bumping into Aegon had delayed him, and Aemond has caught him way quicker than he was meant to, changes in time intervals shouldn't affect anything right? I mean, what is wrong with Aemond catching Aegon quicker than intended?
Everything was wrong with that.
You see, disturbance in time can lead to everything spiralling out of control. And you were indirectly or directly the cause of it.
That's how you found yourself in this situation, with Aemond Targaryen holding you hostage, catching Aegon quicker had left Aemond with more than enough time on his hands to pursue after you, and he had caught you.
“So, tell me. Why is it that you sighed out of relief earlier?” He questioned as he had you kneeled in front of him, seriously? all of this because you sighed? your brows furrowed. “Is there something wrong sighing?” you asked annoyed.
“There isn't but... Considering your attire, the way you tensed up when you saw me and cole, and then sighing out of relief when we passed you is enough to draw suspicions, and it seemed you had recognized me too, considering how you looked down.” He explains.
Oh fuck this guy for being so observant.
You didn't have anything to say for yourself, you fucked up big time, you should've taken the other lane and not went past them, it all seems like a cruel play the gods have subjected you to.
Maybe that's what you get for bending physics, and defying the laws of nature.
You thought this was your end, dying by the hands of Aemond Targaryen, and you braced yourself for it, you were stuck here anyways, with no way to go back, so dying might not be a bad idea, you had mentally prepared yourself, thinking how you lived a good life.
But then he says something unexpected.
“You're coming with me.” he says before tugging you off your knees and pulling you with him, you were confused, was he not going to kill you? why is he taking you?
And just like that you were taken to the red keep, imprisoned in the dungeons while aegon got crowned above.
And for the first time in a long time, you felt genuine fear, not like the one when you first landed here. You had tried to ignore it and cope with living in this era, taking it lightly to not stress yourself out, to remain calm, to remain nonchalant to each and every situation, hoping that someone or anyone from your time will return to take you back, believing that everything will be fine.
Only now, inside of the dungeon, shivering from the cold, with an empty stomach and messed up attire had you realised the weight of the situation.
You weren't afraid of death, no.
Otherwise you wouldn't have braced yourself to die at the hands of Aemond.
No. What you were really afraid of was the uncertainty and what's to come. You knew what would happen. It's the feelings of knowing everything but also nothing that is eating you on the inside out, you knew how everything would play out, but now with your involvement, you were unsure.
The sound of footsteps broke you out of your thoughts as you looked at the owner of the noise, the dungeons door opened and he stepped inside, you glared at him and he just looked at you amused.
“We did not have the time to get acquainted.” Aemond says make you almost scoff. Acquainted my ass, you think, he literally imprisoned you.
“So now, where were we? You may speak.” he says, hands behind his back as he leans back on his right leg, his left leg jutting out.
Do you tell him? Explain to him what actually happened? Would he believe you? Why you were here? How you knew the future?
“You wouldn't believe me, even if I tried.” you say and he raises an eyebrow at that before humming “Hmm, it depends on what you say.”
“Let me go, and I will never cross paths with you again, please.” you beg hoping he'd consider the idea. “No.” he simply says and it leaves you baffled.
“What?” you ask in disbelief, “I said no, I shan't need to repeat myself again.” he says.
“Bro, please you literally have no use of me, just let me go, or at least kill me.” you say annoyed, he furrows his eyebrows at the word ‘bro’
“I am not your brother, how dare you, a stranger, associate yourself with me?” he says and literally fight the urge to face palm, you forgot that you aren't in your era.
“I'm sorry my bad, I shall learn not to do it again.” you tried your best to mimic it, he just raised his eyebrows, “Interesting.” he notes and you look at him questioningly. “What's ‘interesting’ if I may ask.” you mock.
“How we both speak the common tongue, yet it rolls off your tongue quite clumsily. You are not from here, or rather, from a different existence.” You tried your best to control your expressions of shock because of the way he hit the jackpot right then there.
Would he believe you if you told him?
“I-” before you could begin, a guard comes to inform Aemond that his mother had requested his presence, that it was something regarding gaining their allies.
Your eyes widened, you know what this meant.
The death of Lucerys Velaryon
Which inevitably started the war.
Aemond didn't fail to notice the shocked look on your face, he was observant after all.
What do you do? Do you tell him? Do you try to prevent it? Or let it happen? This was a major event which will set the events of the future sway, but this is also a reality you would be living in now.
Everything could go horribly wrong or incredibly right, your interference had already led things astray, and you knew that it would continue to do so. Because you were not meant to be here.
“Don't—” you choke out when Aemond turns to leave, he stops turning to look at you, head tilting, you take a deep breath. “Don't chase after him.” you say which causes Aemond to furrow his eyebrows in confusion.
“Lucerys Velaryon, Do not chase him.” This only made him more confused as to why you are mentioning Lucerys, Why would he chase him? All these questions left unasked when the guard rushed Aemond to go meet his mother.
You just sat there as you watched him lock the dungeon door, wondering what will happen, you had not revealed anything too major, just an advice, questioning whether he'll take it or not. Whether you can prevent the death of Lucerys.
But, what would happen if you did? and what would happen if you didn't? you had no idea, do you save them from unnecessary bloodshed or let it happen? So it goes the same way it did in history.
While you were lost in your thoughts, Aemond had reached the council room, where everyone was present, discussing and his mother looked at him before the meeting begin.
“Aemond will fly to storm's end to secure the alliance of House baratheon.” his mother suggests, “How so?” one of the members ask
“By proposing a marriage, Lord baratheon has four daughters, Aemond can betroth one of them.” she says and aemond nods.
It was a strategic plan, marrying into house baratheon isn't as bad, and aemond would perform his duty, to once again prove to his mother that he was her perfect son.
But, your words kept ringing like a bell in the back of his head, ‘Do not chase him.’ what were you saying exactly? He was snapped out of his thoughts by his mother, the room was empty now, only leaving him and mother, she came and held him at the arms.
“Are you alright?” she asks and he simply nods, she gives him a tight lipped smile before they part ways, his footsteps carry him towards the path leading to the dungeons, almost as if there was magnetic force pulling him towards you.
That's until he spots helaena, wondering what she's doing here, he goes up to her, “Sister.” he greets her, and she gives him a small smile, “What are you doing in this direction?” he asks directly.
“I'm not sure, my feet bought me here as I was wandering around, I think I might have gotten off track.” she sighs, and he hums, then he notices her zone out, the way she always had when she had things shown to her, she was a dreamer, Aemond had known. It was confirmed after he lost his eye on that fateful night.
Although it is quite tough to decipher the words.
“Not belonging here, a soul misplaced, shall be the saviour.”
“A change of fates.”
“All rewritten.”
She says before blinking and Aemond parrots her blinking, lost in his thoughts trying to decipher what she means, she quickly excuses herself before Aemond could ask anymore questions.
A change to fates? All rewritten? A saviour?
Your words and His sisters words plagued his mind to no end.
A soul misplaced.

"Possession vs Obsession" - Sub-Zero x reader x Scorpion- Chapter II
Summary: An arranged marriage between clans in the name of peace ironically disturbs the peace of the two brothers who find themselves in a new feud. This time between themselves. Betrayal and heartache had been destined for them since she entered their lives. Y/N of the Shadow-weaver clan, promised to Bi Han, future Grand Master of the Lin Kuei, stands in front of the difficult decision- to end the war between their clans or end the war within the Lin Kuei temple.

Tumblr media
The morning rays of the sun tickled Y/N's skin as they shone through the cracks of the wooden window covers. The Shadow-weaver awoke from her slumber, annoyed from the light, turning in bed left to right, in an attempt to escape the sun. Alas, it was in vain. She opened her eyes and slowly observed her surroundings. Bi Han was nowhere in sight. Who knows how early he had left. For a moment she contemplated whether she preferred it this way. Seeing him once per day for less than an hour seemed agreeable, as she could forget he existed for the rest of the time, for the rest of her life. It's definitely better than his snarky remarks and reminders how much he didn't want to marry her.
A light knock on the door startled her out of her thoughts. Thomas Vrbada, her smoke wielding friend from yesterday stood on the other side, beaming as if they hadn't woken up less than 10 minutes ago. "Good morning, Y/N!" He greeted. His smile was contagious. The girl smiled back, tired and greeted him back. "Father said we need to do our best to accommodate you and not leave you behind from everyone else. He said we all have to train equally, so that includes you, too. So today you can spar with me." Thomas explained. "But I can only fight with what I learned from my clan." Y/N was no stranger to waking up early to fight. Shadow-weaver training was in a way quite brutal if she had to be honest.
She remembered her first trials. Making her way through the pitch-black caverns. She felt claustrophobic from how tight the hallways were. Not knowing which way to go. Feeling her way through the darkness, all while attempting to defend herself from "attackers" from the clan. Of course, they weren't going to kill her, but until she learned her way around, she endured quite the battter. At the end of her training, her skills as an assassin grew, the shadows bent and made way for her, followed her every step and protected her from attackers. She moved in silence, striking and disappearing at the blink of an eye. Became a master of her art. Now... fighting out in the open wasn't a foreign concept for her, but she would be lying if she said she was comfortable with it. These people were warriors. Not assassins.
"We can exchange experiences. I'm sure we have a lot to learn from each other." The boy suggested. "Alright. It is a new dawn for us after all." Y/N chuckled "It's time to start learning from each other instead of arguing who is superior." They shared a laugh "You took the words out of my mouth." Thomas remarked "I'll meet you in the training grounds after 15 minutes."
The training grounds were full of novices and masters. Even if they were busy with their own training, Y/N couldn't help but feel nervous being around so many people who could watch her at any given moment. She attempted to ignore her feeling and brush it off as her imagination, while she was busy defending herself from her friend. Thomas had great abilities and swift movement. He could vanish into smoke in seconds, evading many of her attacks. Little did he know, she could also blend in with the shadows around her. Using his confusion, she snuck up behind his back silently and kicked the back of his knees, making him kneel. "And I win." She smirked.
There was that feeling of being watched again. This time more intensely... more demanding... Y/N felt her body heat up as she turned around and met eyes with Kuai Liang who analyzed her every move from the other side of the training ground. His eyes were full of admiration, inviting in ways his lips could never speak of. His soft expression, unfazed by the fact that she had caught onto his staring, feigning innocence as he held her own gaze for what felt like eternity. No morning chills could dwindle the fire he ignited within her. Obviously, he had completely forgotten to supervise the trainees he was responsible for in favor of watching the Shadow-weaver's fighting style. Y/N was almost ready to go to him...
"Assassin." Bi Han's chilling voice made her freeze in place and made her break the eye-contact. He stopped near her and Thomas, eyeing the both of them. "What are you doing?" She rolled her eyes before shifting her gaze to him "Training, Bi Han." She answered dryly. The future Grand Master clenched his jaw, ready to spew another protest like he always does, but not at her. He was eyeing Thomas who had stood up and was dusting himself off, fixing displaced armor pieces. Bi Han then looked at his betrothed. For the first time, she could distinguish an emotion of some kind... a different kind of anger. You should be training with me. Oh, he was almost ready to say it. But he did not. His pride would never allow it.
"What can I help you with, Bi Han?" Y/N tried her best to remain polite, growing tired of his silence. "You and me are being sent on a mission together. Father's orders. We don't have a choice." Bi Han explained. "When have we ever?" Her comment made him bite his lower lip, trying his best not to say anything that would hurt his pride. "Are you going to be this smart mouthed the entire time?" He asked, voicing it as a warning. "I didn't say anything." Y/N shrugged her shoulders innocently. Again, a heavy silence fell over them, in which the man was calculating his words carefully. He let it go. "You have 30 minutes to prepare before we leave." Bi Han ordered "I hope you realize you aren't exempt from missions and work here, princess." Sneering the last word, he turned around and started distancing himself from her and his brother. "I never said I wanted to be." Y/N stated, loud enough for him to hear and scoffing in mockery.
"Good luck." Thomas snickered under his breath.

A gloved hand snaked its way around your neck, and fingers tilted your head back to see Ghost leaned over you, his gaze intense. You could see why people were intimidated by him now that he was standing above you, his chest rising and falling. His thumb toyed with your bottom lip, and you finally got it.
They weren't your prey.
You were theirs.
Ghost clicked his tongue as realization of your situation dawned on you.
"Ah, there we go. She got there." He whispered, tilting his head to the side as he looked down at you. "Tell us what you want, or you're not getting it."
You barely had time to think of his demand before a new kind of fire made its way into the pit of your stomach. This one wasn't painful like the last one. That was weak, sated easily by König's touch. This felt like it was devouring you from the inside out, it was razing everything in its path, and you couldn't fucking care less.
"I want the both of you." You breathed, trying to press your thighs together, only to be blocked by König's broad shoulders, and a whine clawed its way out of your throat. "I need the both of you."
A groan sounded through the room as that was all the confirmation König needed. He wrenched your pants down, the threads ripping from the force on his way, and Ghost laughed.
"You good, mate?"
"Ich kann es kaum erwarten, ich muss..." König's speech was slurred, and the feel of his breath on your inner thigh made you involuntarily buck your hips. "No. None of that." He growled, and looked up at you, placing his forearm over your stomach, effectively holding you in place. He was teasing you, and you weren't even allowed to react to it! You groaned and let your head fall back, the mere sight of König nearly sending you over the edge.
A zipper sounded above you, and before you had the chance to open your eyes, you felt König wrap his lips around your clit. Your eyes screwed shut, and your mouth opened in a silent gasp at the electricity that sparked from the contact.
"Open your eyes, princess." Ghost sounded from behind you, and he lightly tapped your cheeks to get your attention. Your eyes opened to see Ghost's head tilted down at you, his pupils blown from the adrenaline. "Look at 'cha. You're already a mess."
He was right. You were a mess. König was devouring like you were his last meal on earth, his mouth wavering every so often to bite the insides of your thighs.
"You're the one... Who's about to come... Just from watching." Talking was harder than you thought, your words interrupted by your own gasps and moans. It was clear Ghost didn't appreciate your comment, as his head straightened, and his eyes narrowed at you.
"Mate, why is she still talking? Do you know why she's talking?" He spoke to König, but his eyes were still locked onto you.
"Nein." König's voice was deeper than what it normally was, he sounded almost feral. Ghost reached down, and delivered two harsh taps to your cheek.
"Open."
You simply stared up at him. He couldn't possibly... Was he insinuating? His nearly desperate struggle with his belt told you that yes, yes he was.
"Open your fucking mouth, Echo."
A harsh nip on the inside of your thigh forced your mouth open in a surprised gasp, and you were grateful for the intake of air before Ghost's cock slid into your mouth, and he rested a gloved hand on your throat. With König's arm pulling your thighs toward his face, and Ghost groaning above you, an animalistic haze began to settle in your mind.
"Fucking hell, I can..." Ghost trailed off with a groan as his hand tightened ever so slightly on your neck, feeling himself. It would be a lie if you told yourself the combining feelings weren't overwhelming, but God, you couldn't get enough. The need to breathe was completely lost to you until Ghost pulled out, and stroked your burning cheeks. "Wanna take more? Can you take more?"
Honestly, you weren't sure. König's ministrations were building an upsetting amount of pressure, and tears were beginning to well in your eyes at the feeling. In lieu of a response and a decisive huff, you leaned your head back, opening your mouth and letting your tongue fall past your bottom lip. A deep growl sounded from Ghost, and his hand found its way back onto your throat as he moved his hips forward one more time, this time continuing past half of his shaft until his cock was completely buried in your throat. Fingers began to toy with your entrance, and a moan tore through your throat, vibrating around Ghost.
Within moments, you could feel the coil in you screaming to snap, and both men could tell, from the way your nails tried to find purchase in anything, and your thighs shook around König's shoulders. A brief moment of panic rang through you as Ghost's hips stuttered in his rhythmic abuse of your throat, and your muffled screams were silenced as you finally, finally felt your release crashing through you, Ghost pushed down on your throat harder, effectively ceasing any possibility of breathing as he emptied himself in your mouth, his depth forcing you to swallow around him. He pulled out of you quickly, and you coughed at the sudden rush of air to your lungs, and König's soft kisses on his bites felt distant.
Ghost's heavy breathing brought you back, and he cradled the back of your hand, looking at you like he was admiring a work of art. His work of art. Your lashes were wet with tears, and your lips were red, tingling at the sudden loss of contact.
"Back to earth, Echo. Still here?" Ghost's gruff voice was barely above a whisper, his mask moving slightly with his heavy breathing. You nodded, not entirely trusting your voice to voice your feelings, the delicious ache spreading. "Good. Take one more, you can give us one more." His hand went to your upper back, pushing you so you sat up, and the sight of König was utterly holy. His eyes were wide, staring at you like a deer in headlights. His tongue was running over his bottom lip, jaw slack and the dim lighting reflected the shine that nearly dripped off his face. The sight was enough to send another jolt through you, and when he spoke, his shoulders drooped, and he looked down.
"Ich konnte nie genug von deinem Geschmack bekommen. Du bist göttlich. Du bist göttlich." His words sounded like a prayer, like he was confessing his reverence. You reached out, and hooked his chin with your finger gently, and his eyes lifted to you. König stood, towering over you, and your hands found the hem of his shirt, tugging at it pathetically while you looked up at him through your lashes.
"Mate." Ghost spoke from next to you. "I think she wants you to get on." His hand slid up your back until it reached the nape of your neck, pulling on your hair to force your head up to König. "Stupid little thing can't use her words."
Normally, the snide comment would have sent you arguing, but he was right. There was no logical or cohesive thought behind your eyes.
"Is that true?" König's voice was dark, and he sighed, pulling his shirt over his head, revealing a broad chest absolutely littered with scars. "Is it true that you're so braindead? Just from one?" His teasing tone elicited a whine, and he laughed lowly. "I have a question, maus." The nickname sent you reeling, and if you weren't dripping where you at, you were now. "I don't think this is the drug at all." König yanked his belt out of place, and set it gently next to you, pulling you by your hips closer to him so you could feel his clothed bulge against your core, and holy fuck. Even through his pants, you could feel that König was huge.
"I don't think this is the drug at all, I think you've always wanted this." Your eyebrows knit together, and you looked up at him, trying to pull yourself together enough for form a response.
"No, I-" You could barely croak out your words before you felt the head of König's cock sliding against your entrance, teasing you. Your hands grasped at his biceps, and your head fell onto his chest.
"No? You don't think so?" His voice was wickedly sinful, and the sound made you want to cry. Shame burnt in your chest, and Ghost's low chuckle behind König only exacerbated it.
"No, König-" His head barely dipped inside of you before pulling out again, and you wanted to scream.
"Aw, is she too good to beg for us?" Ghost leaned against the desk, his arms folded across his chest. König slid his hands up your back, pressing your bare chest closer to his, and the heat radiating off of him was intoxicating.
"Fuck, König, please!" It came out like a cry of devotion, but once you started, you couldn't stop. "I do, I've needed this so bad, just please!"
That seemed to be enough for König, and he slowly pushed into you, letting out his own whimper. When he bottomed out, your shaky hands dragged angry red marks down his arm, and your heaving chest rose and fell with tremoring breaths.
"I know, maus, I know. You can take more. I know you can." His tone was mockingly gentle, words whispered into the crown of your head. More? What more could there possibly be? You felt entirely too full of him, and... No fucking way. You looked down, wanting to revel in the sight, finding König seated only halfway inside you. You groaned loudly, resigned to the fate laid in front of you. König's mouth met the expanse of your neck, and nipped gently as he continued, shushing your whines. Stars began to dance in your eyes, and when he was truly fully inside you, the feeling was dizzying. He moved his lips up to yours, and the kiss was surprisingly gentle, his thumb stroking your jaw, and when he pulled away, he pressed his forehead against yours. "Ready?"
You nodded, and barely had time to think before König was snapping his hips into yours, both hands gripping your ass, lifting you up ever so slightly. The knowledge that König was using you like a toy, along with his relentless pace was making you breathless. All of his previous restraint was gone, and a mixture of whines and growls sounded from him. You could feel your orgasm building again, and before you can say anything, it crashed over you like a tsunami, and left you mere putty in König's hands. His arms and shoulders bore zebra stripes of screaming red, blood beginning to dot the lines. König halted inside of you, groaning and sinking his teeth into your shoulder, reveling in the feeling of you unraveling beneath him. König pulled out of you quickly, and stood back, his chest heaving.
"On the ground, König." Ghost called, his voice raspy, and he approached the table where you sat, taking your face in his hands. "You're gonna take the both of us, okay, princess?" You could only nod, and you inched off the table, grateful that the floor was your final destination. As soon as your feet hit the ground, your legs shook violently, and you sat, looking up at Ghost. He loomed over you, his frame blocking out the only light source in the room. König crouched, forcing eye contact when he was on your level. His hand slid up your arm as you climbed into his lap, and he leaned back, exhaling deeply as you lowered yourself onto him, the rough flooring biting at your knees.
You could hear Ghost shuffling behind you, and fingers met the connection between you and König, gathering the mess between your legs, swiping it back on your ass. His finger plunged inside, and you gasped at the intrusion, your body jolting forward into König.
"Aw, can barely take that, can ya?" Ghost's voice was mocking, and you groaned, shaking your head.
"Shh, maus." König crooned under you, his voice strained. "You can do it for us, I know you can." Ghost let out a short, cruel laugh and worked himself further into you.
"I don't know mate. Think she'll be able to take it?"
"I know she can." König mumbled, switching between German and English in a frenzy. "I know she can. She's so good. So good for us." The way they both spoke like you weren't even there lit a fire in your chest, and indignation worked its way into your brain. You found your voice, finally.
"Please, Lieutenant." You whined breathily, pulling Ghost's rank in an effort just to get him to give you what you wanted so desperately. Ghost groaned behind you, and gave your ass a light slap before you could feel him aligning his tip with your entrance. König halted his thrusting up into you to allow you to get used to the size of Ghost inside you. Thankfully, he was going slowly, but the slight burn made you collapse onto König's chest. There was no doubt about it, your Lieutenant's size was nearly unbearable, and yet you couldn't get enough of it.
The feeling of the both of them fully seated inside you made your brain completely shut down, and a König let out a shaky breath as you pushed back against Ghost, his hands in a bruising grasp on your hips. They began to move in tandem, and it wasn't long before another orgasm washed its way through you, König meeting a similar fate. His cock twitched inside you, but he made no effort to remove himself as Ghost used you to chase his second high of the night. A hand trailed up your back, wrapping fingers in your hair and tugging, your broken moans echoing throughout the room. Just when you could feel black encroaching your vision, and your knees began to give out, Ghost's rhythm faltered once more, and he halted inside you, emptying himself with a moan you were sure you were going to remember forever.
The three of you stayed like that for a minute. Every part of you ached, and the intense heat and discomfort from before was replaced with a dull pain between your legs, and the telltale signs of a headache were approaching. Ghost tapped your back, signaling that he was going to pull out, and he did so agonizingly slow, your body twitching below him. König followed, his massive arms wrapping around your frame, pressing a soft kiss to your sweat-covered forehead.
"Did so well, maus, you did so well for us." He whispered his praises, peppering kisses on your face. Your head was absolutely swimming, and every word spoken went in one ear and out the other, A piece of cloth dabbed at your face, and you realized Ghost was using his shirt to wipe your face of the sweat and tears that stained.
Dressed. You have to get dressed. You have to get up and leave.
Just the thought of standing was nearly painful, and you slowly got there, König's hand under your arm to help you. Your legs shook aggressively, and he chuckled. You leaned against the table, and to your shock, Ghost began to help you with your clothes, beginning to slide on your pants. You'd never seen this side of Ghost before, and to be honest, you weren't sure it existed until now. Once you were relatively clothed, you sighed.
"How are we gonna explain this?" Your voice cracked, and König's eyes went wide.
"I... Uh, scheiße, I have no idea."
"You both are useless. We were hit with an unknown gas, Echo got sick, so we decided to wait it out before calling exfil." Ghost plugged his earpiece back into the communication device, and spoke into it, relaying the information, and switching it off again. "We'll be out of here in 30. Let's go."
You followed his direction silently, but your mind was racing with questions. How would you navigate being around him on base? You weren't around König as much, so that wasn't a huge concern. Would you ever be able to look at him and not think of the time he came in your throat? You resigned yourself to your fate of ignoring the two as much as possible. Try to forget what happened.
When you exited the room, you scooped down to pick up your once-abandoned gear, and sighed as you strapped in, your eyes once more adjusting to the cold, dark hallways. König nudged you, and picked up his hood, shooting you a concerned look.
"You want to say something." He stated simply, his eyes glancing up as you walked, trying desperately to ignore the dull ache.
"I just..." Should you be honest? Ask outright how to navigate this? "How do y'all want me to, like, be?"
Ghost stopped in his tracks, turning around to face you silently, and König tilted his head to one side. You continued, "Is this something we keep a secret, do you want me to forget about it... What do you want me to do?"
"Absolutely fucking not." Ghost's response was almost immediate. "I don't know about this one, but I am not letting you go now. Not unless you want me to, but," He stepped closer to you, the eye contact he was forcing was almost dizzying. "It seems like you don't want me to."
And he was right. That one fact, exposed like a raw nerve, hung in the air.
"Hope you know how to share your toys." König spoke, ruffling your already fucked hair, and the scrunch of his eyes told you that he was smiling under the mask. Ghost exhaled, turning back around.
"I guess I'll have to be, huh? Get on, we need to get the fuck out of here."

Ich kann es kaum erwarten, ich muss... "I can't wait, I have to..."
Ich konnte nie genug von deinem Geschmack bekommen. Du bist göttlich. Du bist göttlich. "I could never get enough of your taste. You are godlike. You are godlike."
Maus "Mouse."
scheiße "Shit."
