Born to be Yours: Part 1 (Marc Spector x fem!reader)
Masterlist | Playlist | Part 2
Warnings: A little bit of angst, smut (not too explicit in this part)
Word Count: 3.6k
Tumblr media
A/N: I decided it's best to come back with a bang (ehehehhe, ok ill stop now), and what other way to do it than to post on my birthday. BUT HI, THANKS FOR BEING PATIENT WITH ME <333 I'm going to start writing and posting more often from now on, part two of this should be up by Wednesday. Again, love y'all loads and enjoy this Marc fic hehe.
☾ .・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
The toddler’s shrieks reverberated around the patio as you spun around with her in your arms.
“AHHH the monster will never let you go!” You squealed and tickled the toddler, drawing out loud giggles.
Suddenly, big, strong arms ripped the toddler from your grasp, leaving you confused.
“Your prince charming is here to save you, m’lady!” a fake English accent followed a gorgeous raven haired man who stepped into your line of vision.
You scowl, despite the flutter of butterflies in your tummy, at the person in front of you, as the toddler gives him a big kiss on the cheek. He winked back to you and set the toddler down, who toddled away to her mother.
“Didn’t expect for you to show up.” You say to the chiseled Greek god that decided to grace your presence.
He hands you a chilled beer as he not-so-subtly eyes you up and down.
“Yea, I was in town and had to rescue my princess.” His eyes snap to yours and you feel a little creature in the pits of your stomach awaken. You snort and take a little sip of your beer.
“How long have you been back?” you leaned against the railing.
“About a week. Been meaning to meet you.” he says with a genuine smile.
“Bullshit, Spector. You hate my guts.” You laughed, trying not to blush at his pretty smile.
The old butterflies that you tried so hard to push away from you instantaneously resurfaced the second you laid your eyes on Marc Spector, threatening to tear themselves out of you and surround you with their visually piercing wings, as if attempting to shield you from the yearning that you had endured all these years.
Gina had organized a little barbecue with drinks and you had dropped by after work, your usual office clothes swapped with a cream colored salwar kameez and a beautiful red bordered shawl in the same color. You would be lying if you didn’t check your makeup and salwar kameez about a billion times before coming here, after knowing that Marc would be joining. You had not seen Marc for months and a small part of you wanted to see him at the gathering.
“Gina told me that you’ve got a boyfriend?” Marc suddenly says, and you raise an eyebrow at him, trying to scan his face for even the smallest bit of reaction to the statement he had just blurted out.
“So what if I do?” you said, raising an eyebrow slightly.
“Lucky boy, I guess.” he shrugged, averting his dark eyes away from you.
“Gods, Marc, we’re 35, I don’t date boys, I date men.” you sighed exasperatedly.
“Mmm, so then why isn’t this a thing.” he said nonchalantly, gesturing between the two of you, his face masking any emotion that you wanted to pick up on.
“Okay, kiddos, cut it off, I can hear an argument brewing. Stop it before I kick the both of you out of the house.” Gina steps in before you could even answer.
“It's a civilized conversation Gina, and you should really stop telling this man stories about my love life.” you chastised, bringing the beer bottle to your lips, tipping your head back and chugging the rest of it before slamming the bottle down to the table. “And Spector, this right here isn’t a thing because we’re just not it.”
You walked away from Marc and Gina to go and mingle with the others but you swore you could feel Marc’s impenetrable gaze lingering on you. His words remained imprinted in your mind and it kept playing again and again.
Why isn’t this a thing?
Did Marc have feelings for you? Or was he just testing the waters? You shook your head to rid the thoughts that were circulating aimlessly around. You really needed to clear your mind.
You left the little gathering and stepped into the house, slipping into the bathroom. You do your business and then wash your hands when suddenly the door swings open and Marc steps in and closes the door behind him.
“Bloody hell Marc, I swear I locked that.” You gasped as Marc chuckled. Your hand clutched at your chest and you took a few deep breaths.
“Did you follow me here?” You questioned, once your breathing steadied slightly.
“What if I did?” he said, raising his eyebrows, a mischievous glint flashing through his eyes.
You rolled your eyes and turned back to the sink to wipe your hands on the small towel. You planted your hands on either side of the sink and glared at Marc through the mirror.
“Why are you here then?” you say to his mirrored image.
“What do you mean by ‘We’re just not it’?” he interrogated.
“You know what I mean.”
“No, I don’t”
“Spector, we’re polar opposites, you like playing around with guns and being reckless, while I prefer the peaceful suburban life with no recurrent issues.” you sigh, bringing your hand up to pinch the bridge of your nose. “We’ve not seen eye to eye since we were kids and things will just not work between us.”
“We were just kids.” Marc smiled. “Times have changed.”
Tentatively, Marc took a step closer to you until he was standing directly behind you. Your glare faltered and your eyelashes fluttered slightly as he brushed his fingertips up your right arm and your grip on the sink loosened as tingles spread through your body.
“What if I told you we could make it work?” he breathed.
“We’re barely even friends, Marc.” You whispered.
He closes the gap, pushing you slightly against the sink and your breath hitched at his crotch pushed against the curve of your behind. You leaned back until you were flush against him, trying your best not to move against him.
“Mmm, is that what you want to be? Friends?” Marc uttered into your ear and you swore you could see his eyes glow white.
You wanted to answer him but that part of you, the sensible part of you, was tossed away, replaced with a prey who was trying her best to stand up to something a little too big for her liking.
Without a warning, he grabbed your hips and twirled you around to face him. On a normal instance, if someone had manhandled you like this, they would have had their head bashed in, but for some reason, a creature in you purred with Marc’s touch and your eyes voluntarily closed.
“Open your eyes and answer my question.” Marc’s breath tickled your face and your eyes opened instantly and you tried to nod.
“I-” Whatever coherent sentence you were going to utter was lost to the last of the air that escaped your lungs as your eye zeroed on the thin gold chain around his neck that had somehow escaped from his black button down shirt. You felt your world stop when you saw what he was wearing as a pendant.
Years ago, when Marc had left to join the military, you’d lost one of your favorite rings. It was a tiny gold band with a beautiful tiny blue sapphire that had been gifted by your late grandfather, an important family heirloom. Every night before bed you would take it off and set it on your bedside table, but on the day that the boys left, it was gone.
The pain of losing the ring and Marc at one go was too much for your teenage self to handle and you had cried for weeks. Now here it was, dangling from Marc’s gold chain, both of your cherished possessions back with you again.
You looped your finger around the ring and looked up at Marc’s eyes, demanding an explanation. Your questioning glare almost faltered as you met his now sad eyes.
“The day before I was drafted, I came to see you, to say goodbye, but you were asleep. I couldn’t leave without saying goodbye, so I kinda just took your ring, you know, to have a piece of you with me.” Marc stumbled over his words, his usually authoritative voice dropping to a whisper as he got to the last part of his sentence.
He wanted to remember you.
Tears brimmed in your eyes as you searched Marc’s eyes for anything to prove your suspicions wrong and all you found was a look of yearning. You lifted a hand to his jaw, caressing his sharp jaw with your thumb and he leaned into your touch, his eyes fluttering close.
“How long?” you whispered.
You knew what you were meaning to ask and he knew exactly what you wanted to know.
“For as long as I can remember, I always knew I was born to be yours, Y/N.” he whispered, opening his big brown eyes.
His honey-like voice filled your ears with one of the most beautiful melodies on the planet as he said it.
Slowly, Marc leaned in and your breath hitches as you brace yourself for what was about to happen, when suddenly the door swings open for the second time in the evening.
The both of you turned to see Gina standing there staring with her eyes and mouth wide open. You almost lost your head at the comical expression that adorned Gina’s face as you shifted your hips for Marc to let go, but his grip on your hips only tightened.
“Marc, let go.” You leaned in and whispered in his ear, caressing his jaw slightly again.
He snapped out of his daze and dropped his hands.
The both of them stared at each other like deer caught in headlights and you took your chance to silently slip past the both of them, trying hard to ignore the familiar tingling at the bottom of your abdomen that Marc left you with.
You quickly mumbled your byes to everyone and got into your car. You tried shutting your eyes but all you could see and feel was flashes of him, his chiseled jaw, his big hands on your hips, his soft breath fanning your lips.
You thought about your little ring hanging from his chain and how all these years he’s had it with him. You sat there in the car for a while, taking in slow deep breaths, trying to calm yourself and tame the creature that was itching to get loose.
You thought about going back, dragging him home with you to settle your differences and get back to what really mattered. You wanted to release years of pent up pain and anger that he had accumulated in you and you wanted whatever he had just said to you to be oh so true.
But for some reason you couldn’t. You just couldn’t.
“Fuck this.” You mumbled and started the car.
☾ .・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Marc’s thumb caressed your jaw as you stare in wonder and amazement at his heavenly face. You tucked a hand under his cheek that lay on the pillow beside you and he brushed his thumb across your bottom lip. You let a small desperate whimper escape your throat as his hand left your face. Marc shifted closer to you and you tipped your head back, exposing your neck as your fingers slid into his soft messy curls.
His large hand found its way under the sheets to grip your hips as he pressed soft kisses onto the little spot on your neck that made you melt into his touch and tug his hair a little harder.
“There, you like that don’t you, angel?” Marc’s voice shifted to a deeper, cooler tone that makes you shiver. Your jaw slacked slightly and your eyes shut slowly. Any coherent thoughts you had in your mind trailed and faded instantly.
His hands moved lower, guiding your leg over his body, which you gladly obeyed. His hand then slides upward, under your loose nightshirt to cup your bare tit. His talented fingers gently twist your already sensitive nipple as he bites and sucks at your neck. You moan gratefully, grinding your hips to relieve the ache that had begun growing at your core.
“Marc…”
You woke up with a start and almost sprang out of your empty bed. You looked around, confused, your mind still deep in that little dream you had about Marc Spector. You let yourself fall back down with a thump onto your pillow as your head overflowed with thoughts of Marc. You closed your eyes and you swore you could feel him there with you and you clung to the imaginary feeling of his soft lips and hard hands on your hot skin.
It didn’t take long for the thoughts to jumble into messy waves as you incoherently slipped your hand under the waistband of your sleep shorts.
☾ .・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Marc’s POV
All Marc could see was you. Your beautiful deep brown skin, the feeling of your gentle touch against him, the far away sparkle in your eye. You both were in Steven’s flat in a jumble of limbs and Marc couldn’t believe his luck.
“Finally.” He thought as he pulled your leg over his own hips.
Your mouth dropped open and he heard his name being uttered in the most sinful way possible as he continued his careful and calculated ministrations on you. To his awful luck, the second he heard his name, he found himself being rudely awoken by a loud cackle.
Marc’s mercenary instincts kicked in and he flung himself off his bed, landing ungracefully onto his face as his ankle was still tied tightly to his bed post. He stayed on the floor, utterly defeated as he heard gleeful laughter come from his head mates and the ancient moon god.
“Never in all of my existence have I had this much of a laugh.” Khonshu boomed and Marc looked up just in time to see him dabbing tears off his bird skull.
Jake and Steven were still rolling around with uncontrollable fits of laughter, clinging to each other in the head space as they watched their alter angrily pull the restraints of his leg.
Marc rubbed his nose that had unfortunately taken the brunt of his fall and he padded slowly back to his bed, slouching like a small beaten up puppy. He looked out the window to see that the sky was still dark and the beautiful full moon was out, dancing with the stars in the sky.
“What the fuck were you guys up to?” He yelled over their laughter.
“I’ll let you in on a little secret, my knight. I may have just sent her the same dream.” Khonshu chuckled, his blank eyes falling to the prominent tent in Marc’s sweatpants.
“I directed the little dream, of course.” Jake smirked.
“The restraints were my idea!” Steven piped up.
Marc groaned and fell back onto his bed, his nose slowly healing with Khonshu’s powers. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes as Khonshu’s voice rang in his head, more coherently this time.
I may have just sent her the same dream.
“YOU SENT HER THE SAME DREAM?”
☾ .・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Marc thrummed his fingers on the steering wheel of his car, waiting for the traffic light to turn green. He was on his way to your house to apologize. To tell you that he didn’t mean to freeze yesterday at Gina’s intrusion, that he really wanted to call you, to continue to tell you how he felt, and finally to explain to you why it took him so long to come to his senses and admit his feelings for you.
Why didn’t he just go last night? Why did he decide to leave the matter at hand to be dealt with at a more civilized hour? He wanted to be a gentleman for once. You are poise, grace and beauty, just like a queen, energy he definitely wasn’t used to receiving. He was a knight, a knight that served his country and then a powerful moon god to the point that it almost cost him everything. He was violent, merciless, ruthless and every cell in his body screamed at him, telling him that he didn’t deserve you.
Marc looped his finger around the tiny ring that hung on his chain. His mind flashed to all the times he was close to death, or close to being captured by the enemy, how he would clutch the ring with such vigor, clinging to the very last lifeline that kept him from losing everything. He would hold that once piece of you almost like a promise, a promise that everything would be alright in the end.
For the fifth time in the morning he looked in the rear view mirror of his car to ask for reassurance from his alters. Steven and Jake had quietened down and were now smiling gently and making sure that Marc was comfortable with the next direction he was going to take with you.
A generous bouquet of Casa Blanca Lilies sat on the seat beside him, its fragrance dancing through his car, a little peace offering that was suggested and sponsored by Jake.
Marc was rudely pulled out of his thoughts by the crude ringing of his phone. He cringed at the sound but immediately went into survival mood when his eyes read the caller id. His fingered fumbled as he shakily answered your call.
“Marc… Marc please.” your strained moans floated out of the speaker, constricting Marc’s lungs before he could even try to utter a greeting.
For a few seconds, all Marc could see was white. Dizzily, he realized that all the blood in his body rushed south. The only thing he could pick up on perfectly was your whines, moans and please. He glanced up to the rear view mirror to see a shocked Jake and Steven staring back with their mouths hanging open.
All thoughts of being a gentleman flew out of the proverbial window as Marc hastily ended the call and gripped onto the steering wheel. It was finally time for him to take matters into his own hands and break the ice that had been forming.
Your POV
You were jolted up by the sound of the door bell ringing. For the second time today you had no idea where you were and you quickly slipped out of bed and swayed towards the entrance of your apartment, still drunk on the aftermath of your little escapade. Incoherently, you swung the door open only to be face to face with Marc Spector.
Your mouth dropped open in response and you scanned his form. You almost gasped at the beautiful bouquet of lilies he was holding but you managed to drag your eyes away from it just in time.  He looked absolutely delectable in his black shirt and slacks but what intrigued you was that his eyes were a shade darker than usual, with a hint of emotion that you could not read. They bored into yours as if he was reading your mind and you felt your face heat up.
“Spector! I wasn’t expecting you.” you exclaimed, briskly trying to flatten your bird's nest esque hair and pulling your top so that it was covering your mid section.
Marc raised an eyebrow at you as you quickly made space for him to step in. You watched on with a dazed expression on your face as he made himself comfortable on the couch, dropping the bouquet of flowers he was holding beside him. All this while, he stayed silent and his eyes never left your for a second. He tipped his head towards the empty end of the couch and you soon found yourself sitting at the edge with your hands in your lap.
“Want a drink?” you asked quietly.
“Just dropped by to ask a tricky little question.” he shook his head and finally said, his voice as cool and metallic as the dream you had. “Hope I was not interrupting anything.”
You managed to summon the willpower to not drool like a saint bernard on crack as you tried to form words in your head.
“N-not at all.” you were embarrassed with how small your voice sounded and you averted your eyes from his harsh eye contact.
Marc cleared his throat, spreading his knees apart and leaning back onto the couch, as he eyes you, his face still void of any emotion. You swear you could feel yourself melt under the power of his gaze.
“Just to be clear, we’re just…”
“Friends.” you automatically whispered, your eyes widening with your false statement.
“Yea?” Marc questioned, his lip twitching with a ghost of a smirk etched upon it. “Come on, sit closer to me, I won’t bite.” he continued, dragging his large palm across the empty space beside him.
Won’t bite yet by the looks of it.
You shook your head to get rid of the filthy thought and scooted closer to Marc. To your utter astonishment, you suddenly felt Marc’s strong grip around your waist and you were hoisted into his lap. You felt like a doll in his arms, you didn’t know what else to do but to cling onto his shirt. He adjusted you around him, letting your legs fall to his side as the plump of your ass sat perfectly on his vast thighs.
You were breathing heavily and you realized that you had your eyes squeezed tightly shut. You wrenched them open and searched Marc’s face, not believing that you had the chance to observe it from such a close proximity. You tried your best to drink up every single detail as you resisted the urge to kiss every single curve and dimple on his god-like face.
Just like in your dream, Marc leaned into you and nuzzled his nose into the crook of your neck, making your breath hitch. One of his hands smoothed up your back and cradled the back of your neck while the other gripped tightly on your hip, thumb rubbing small inconsistent circles right above the band of your shorts.
“If we’re just friends, then what were you up to just now, my lying angel?”

Dream a Little Dream of Me - III
Tumblr media
Celestia has a cruel sense of humor. He's always known this, ever since his days as a student. But a soulmate? Really?
Dottore/Female Reader Soulmate AU. Expect lore speculation, interpretations, etc. Available on AO3 as well.
Set-up and rehearsal that morning was, thankfully, brief.  As much as you tried, your mind was preoccupied, both with the remnants of your dream and with all of the details of Sumeru City.  Lush colors and tantalizing food and beautiful flora were everywhere you looked and you wanted nothing more than to savor as much of it as you could.
You spent the afternoon with a small group of friends, all of whom were just as excited as you to have a chance to relax before the performance and happy to finally be out of Fontaine.  You split meals between all of you, sampling coconut charcoal cakes and shawarma and Tandoori roast chicken, all the while discussing that night’s lineup, gifts for family or friends, and where others wished to visit within the city limits.
Tours made it so hard to get to know the places you went.  You were there just long enough to get a lay of the land but gone before you could appreciate everything that caught your eye.  Given how much equipment was needed for such events, it made more sense to stay and do multiple performances; even if the tours were more political and diplomatic than they were anything else, time amongst other nations wouldn’t go amiss.  At least tonight’s event was open to the public and not limited to just the Sages or students of the Akademiya.
Your wallet was lighter on mora after lunch (money well spent but it needed to last you until the next round of paychecks) and you decided on window-shopping rather than drain your coffers further.  As you wandered Treasures Street and passed through crowds to look at beautiful abaya, gallabya, salwar kameez, and other garments, you swore you caught a glimpse of…
No, that couldn’t be right.
You were seeing things.  Had to be. The line between reality and your dreams didn’t feel as hard as it usually did; your mind was too preoccupied as it was and you certainly hadn’t slept as well as you thought you had.
But what if…
It was always a possibility, wasn’t it?  That one day, you might just…
You tried to quell the flutter in your stomach.  It was just your lack of sleep getting the better of you.  After all, you were in a new city, taking in new sights, spending what little free time you had among company that made your job all the better.  Times like this made the tours worth the homesickness and tight budgeting worth it.
And if you ended up actually coming face-to-face with the person you shared your dreams with along the way, well, that was just a bonus.
___________________
“A full house,” one of your friends hissed as you settled into your chair, sitting forward slightly to adjust the cello between your knees.  “You can see the Sages up in the balcony, all of them in the first row.  Swore I heard a guard mention something about a Fatui Harbinger being around too.  Didn’t think they went this far south…”
“Well, you’ll just have to play your best, then,” you teased, throwing a smile.  “And make their trip worth it.”
You tested the strings softly and fixed the tuning a final time before you angled the instrument slightly to the right, so your bow would reach every string.  Your Vision was tucked away, as required by the dress code; its power a reminder of the dedication it took to come this far.  The familiar presence of the wooden body against your chest and the position of your left hand comforted you as the conductor took their position and a hush fell on both sides of the curtain.
The first note pulled from the strings at your fingertips was low and rich, elongated to stretch into what felt like eternity, before flowing into the next.  The vibrations emanated through the body and neck and passed through your fingertips and knees, its heartbeat and breath solely dependent on the motions you made and the way you held it.  Playing was always an extension of yourself, the bassy swells filling you as much as they filled the air around you, and yet keeping you in the tightest grip.  Perhaps it was just the resonance with your element but your nerves were never as frayed as your fellow musicians’ when it came to performances.  This was what you practiced for, what you played for; the emotional release and expression that only made sense when paired with the black and white notes on the pages before you, poured out to those who deigned to listen.
When it was all over, the final note hanging as you flourished your bow, the grip holding your lungs finally released itself.  You felt light and floaty, like the kites you saw at the coastal towns fluttering with every bump of wind.
The crowd was nothing but a sea of applause, the lights from the stage too bright to make out anything other than the general shapes and colors of faces and clothes.  Your eyes scanned the balcony, finding six sages, identifiable only by their finery and bearing of the Akademiya emblem.  All of them were seemingly moved by the performance.  Beyond that, it was difficult to see anything else, let alone verify the claims of another nation’s presence.  Although…was that…there was certainly a figure with turquoise hair, just near the back…
You were certain this time.  You couldn’t see their face but it didn’t matter.  You would know that color anywhere.
Once the curtains closed, word of a late dinner plans and celebrations began to circulate almost immediately.  The idea of more food and a night out was appealing, especially to your growling stomach.
The floating feeling was lingering longer than usual, your inspiration already sparking as clusters and patterns of notes took shape in your mind.  You wouldn’t sleep if you didn’t get them down and they would be gone in the morning…
And then there was the matter of the stranger-not-stranger, probably already long gone.  The crushing feeling in your chest returned, driven not by musician euphoria but desperation, a need for closure.  You needed to see their face, hear their voice, confirm for yourself if it was the man you knew only in your sleep.  But the likelihood of being able to find them was already out of the realm of possibility with every second ticking by.
It was settled for you, ultimately: composing would clear your mind and get rid of the distracting ideas bubbling in your head.
You wished everyone a good time and excused yourself, mentioning that you would probably just grab dinner and go to bed.  You tried not to take the looks of disappointment too personally but at least those you spent time with understood.
Dedicated, even married to your craft, some would say.  Music came first.  It always came first.  That was the difference between you and the other musicians you worked with, some of whom were only here due to connections and mora and abilities just above average.
Arrogant, perhaps.  Others certainly saw you as such.
What they failed to understand was that you worked for it, tirelessly and without complaint.  You already had several compositions published and performed, small though they were.  Composing was, for you, a need and one akin to putting a chisel and hammer to stone or a pencil to paper, carving away the stone or paper until the image revealed itself; you coaxed melodies and harmonies out of the ether and committed them to bars.
These moments were fleeting and you would steal them while you had the chance.

Introduction:
As we search in the ever-changing landscape of fashion,it is easy to get lost in the sea of trends and fast-fashion. But at Heaven Clothing Store in Trivandrum,we believe that style and sustainability go hand in hand. Our mission is to provide high-quality,fashionable clothing that not only makes you look and feel great but also supports a more environmentally friendly future. As we support more sustainable future fashion clothing
Indian fashion culture
Indian fashion culture is a vibrant tapestry woven with threads of tradition, innovation, and storytelling. At the heart of Indian fashion lies the timeless art of handloom weaving. Across the length and breadth of the country, skilled artisans ply their craft, creating fabrics that are as rich in history as they are in texture. From the luxurious Banarasi silks to the earthy elegance of Khadi, each handloom creation is a testament to India's artisanal heritage, passed down through generations with love and reverence. We cannot talk about Indian fashion without mentioning legendary sarees. The sari, a beautiful piece of clothing, represents grace, tradition, and feminine charm. It comes in many different styles across India, showing the country's diverse culture. Despite changing fashion trends, the sari remains a timeless symbol.
So Heaven Clothing and the saree boutique in Trivandrum know the importance of sarees. We are passionate about sarees and dedicated to providing our customers with the finest handcrafted designs that celebrate India’s rich textile heritage. We provide a huge collection of traditional and special sarees for our customers.
Indian ethnic wear includes lots of different kinds of clothes that people wear for special occasions or just every day. For example, there's the saree, which is a long piece of cloth that women drape around themselves in different styles. Then there's the salwar kameez, which is like a long shirt paired with loose pants and a scarf. It's comfy and can be fancy too. For big celebrations like weddings, women often wear lehenga cholis, which are fancy skirts with matching tops and scarves. Men have their own traditional outfits too, like the sherwani, which is a fancy coat worn with pants, or the kurta pyjama, which is a long shirt with loose pants. These clothes come in lots of different styles and colors, showing off India's rich cultural diversity.
Indian fashion culture extends far beyond the glitz and glamor of the runway, permeating every aspect of daily life. From the ornate bridal ensembles worn during lavish weddings to the everyday attire of bustling markets and bazaars, fashion is an integral part of Indian society. It's not just about looking good; it's about self-expression, cultural identity, and storytelling through attire. In this way, Indian fashion becomes a language of its own, speaking volumes about tradition, status, and personal style.

In Kerala, people wear a mix of old and new styles. Women often wear traditional Kerala sarees, and men wear Mundus, especially for special events. They look very classy, especially when paired with fancy gold jewelry. But nowadays, Western clothes are also getting popular, especially among young people. Even with these new trends, people still love and value Kerala's cultural traditions. You can see this in the colorful and stylish clothes they wear, which show off both old and new influences. Kerala's fashion is like a mirror, showing its rich history and changing identity.
Heaven clothing store really looking forward to Kerala fashion culture; it becomes heaven as the leading Trivandrum dress shop. We set up a special collection of a mix of traditional wear and western clothing for you. However, as fashion changes, Heaven's clothing also changes.

Traditional wears of India.
India's traditional attire is a vibrant tapestry reflecting the country's diverse cultures, regions, and historical influences. The sari stands as an iconic symbol of Indian femininity, with its graceful draping styles and intricate designs varying from region to region. Meanwhile, the salwar kameez, with its combination of a long tunic, loose trousers, and scarf, holds sway in North India, offering both elegance and comfort. For festive occasions and weddings, the lehenga choli steals the spotlight, blending ornate skirts, fitted blouses, and flowing dupattas into dazzling ensembles, particularly popular in the northern states.
In the world of men's clothing, different outfits have their own special place. The sherwani is the go-to choice for fancy events, with its fancy designs and classic look. On the other hand, the kurta pajama is more relaxed but still stylish, making it good for everyday wear or less formal gatherings. In the southern parts of India, the dhoti is popular. It's simple and traditional, worn by wrapping it around the waist and legs gracefully. In Gujarat and Rajasthan, during celebrations, you'll often see women wearing the colorful ghagra choli. It has vibrant skirts, fancy tops, and flowing scarves, reflecting the festive mood.

India's clothing also varies by region. In Kerala, men wear the mundu. In Kashmir, the pheran is common. And across India, the bandhgala, or Nehru jacket, is loved for its classy look. Each outfit has a story behind it, reflecting the culture and history of its region. Together, they create a rich tapestry of colors, fabrics, and traditions that represent India's diverse people.

Heaven Clothing Store in Trivandrum has special collections of traditional wear, not just Kerala's traditional wear. All over India, traditional wear is in our collection. We also have special wedding collections for the bride and groom. You can select any Indian traditional wear from our store.
Office Outfits.
An office outfit refers to the clothes people wear to work in a professional setting. It typically includes formal or semi-formal attire such as dress shirts, trousers or skirts, blouses, suits, dresses, and appropriate footwear like dress shoes. The specific dress code may vary depending on the workplace culture and industry norms. The aim of an office outfit is to look polished, presentable, and suitable for the work environment while also reflecting personal style within professional boundaries. It's all about looking professional and appropriate for your job. For guys, this usually means shirts, pants, and maybe a tie or a suit. For ladies, it could be a blouse and skirt or pants, a dress, or even a professional-looking top with trousers. The key is to choose clothes that are neat, clean, and not too casual. You want to make a good impression and feel confident while you work.
Women's fashion is currently experiencing a dynamic shift towards sustainability, with a notable emphasis on eco-friendly materials and ethical production practices. This trend reflects a growing awareness of environmental issues and a desire for clothing choices that align with values of responsibility and stewardship. Additionally, the athleisure trend remains popular, seamlessly integrating athletic wear into everyday outfits for a comfortable yet stylish look. Oversized silhouettes are also making a statement, offering a relaxed and effortless aesthetic that prioritizes comfort without sacrificing style. Another emerging trend is romanticized cottagecore fashion, characterized by soft, feminine silhouettes, floral prints, and vintage-inspired pieces that evoke a sense of nostalgia and simplicity. Furthermore, there's a noticeable shift towards gender-neutral fashion, with styles and silhouettes designed to be inclusive and accommodating, shaped by factors such as social media, cultural influences, and sustainability concerns, providing women with a diverse range of options to express their individuality and style preferences. to individuals of all genders.
Men's fashion is currently embracing a blend of classic styles with modern twists, catering to a diverse range of tastes and preferences. Sustainable fashion is gaining traction, with an increasing number of brands offering eco-friendly materials and ethical production practices. Athleisure continues to be a prominent trend, seamlessly blending athletic wear with casual and formal attire for a versatile and comfortable look. Tailoring is also making a comeback, with a focus on well-fitted suits, jackets, and trousers that exude sophistication and style. Additionally, streetwear-inspired looks remain popular, characterized by bold graphics, oversized silhouettes, and urban influences. Men's fashion is evolving to embrace individuality and self-expression, with a focus on quality craftsmanship, versatility, and sustainability.

The "dark side" of fashion refers to the less visible but deeply concerning aspects of the industry, characterized by unethical practices and environmental harm. One prominent issue is the exploitation of workers, particularly in developing countries, where labor regulations are often lax. Garment workers endure long hours, low wages, and unsafe working conditions in factories, contributing to social injustices and human rights violations. Moreover, the fashion industry's rapid production and consumption cycle, known as fast fashion, fuels overproduction, excessive waste, and environmental degradation. Processes like dyeing fabrics and chemical treatments contribute to pollution and resource depletion, further exacerbating the industry's environmental footprint. Additionally, a lack of transparency in supply chains makes it challenging to trace the origins of materials and ensure ethical and sustainable practices throughout production. Addressing these issues requires collective action from industry stakeholders, consumers, and policymakers to promote ethical labor standards, environmental sustainability, and transparency in the fashion supply chain.
.
Solution for this is sustainable fashion Sustainable fashion refers to clothing, accessories, and footwear that are designed, produced, and used in ways that are environmentally friendly and socially responsible. This involves considering the environmental impact of materials and production processes, as well as promoting fair labor practices throughout the supply chain. Sustainable fashion encompasses various practices, including using organic or recycled materials, reducing waste through efficient design and production methods, and supporting ethical labor standards. Additionally, sustainable fashion encourages consumers to make mindful purchasing decisions, such as investing in high-quality, long-lasting pieces and supporting brands that prioritize sustainability. By promoting environmental stewardship and social equity, sustainable fashion aims to create a more ethical and resilient fashion industry.

Oooh, this looks fun! I guess I'll request for Court of Darkness. The first path I chose was Rio because he seemed like the only sane person at the time. I'm glad I did because he's a literal ray of sunshine and I could not ask for a better friend. I'm reading Guy's route (ew) for Aquia. He's just so sweet, and quite frankly the best part of reading either Guy or Jasper's path. When he said that I was his first love, I wanted so badly to requite his feelings. Can I have a fluffy romantic story with me and Aquia pls?
As for the info about me, I'm just gonna copy and paste what I wrote for one of my earlier requests so... Here ya go
Appearance: I am a 165 cm tall, average build, South Asian woman. I have wavy black hair that reaches my shoulders and I usually dress in South Asian attire, usually salwar-kameez. I also wear glasses. I don't really feel comfortable going out without them 😅
My MBTI and enneagram: INTJ 5w4
Star sign: Sagittarius sun, Virgo moon and rising
Sexuality: demiromantic asexual
Personality: I'm pretty calm, collected and hard-working for the most part. People say I'm intelligent, quiet, and polite. I can be sarcastic at times, although people often say it's hard to tell when I'm being sarcastic. I'm probably the most emotional unemotional person I know. I don't really show a whole lot of facial expressions, but I do feel things more deeply than people give me credit for. I also tend to get overwhelmed easily, especially when I'm in really noisy places for prolonged periods of time (Cries in neurodivergent. Maybe. IDK I've never been diagnosed. I'm just calling it symptoms disorder for now). When people get to know me, they say that I'm a good listener and that they feel safe to speak their mind to me. My favourite hobbies include reading, playing video games, listening to classical and lofi hip-hop, and making art. I especially like to draw and paint things that radiate a sense of comfort, nostalgia and serenity. Someone also told me that my artworks also hold a sort of innocence in the composition of the shapes, colours and the overall vibe of what I draw/paint.
(I may have spelled Acquia's name wrong this entire thing.... don't worry about it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the time with your squishy boy!)
A Tale Where Aquia's Feelings are Requited, and Rio Helps it all go down
Rio had been there for you from the moment you set foot in the world. So he was also there to watch as you and Acquia started to fall for eachother. There were two problems though. The first was Acquia didn't have the confidence to confess his feelings. The , was that his big brother, whom he respected above all else, seemed to still think he could own you.
But Rio was a determined man. A determined man who thrived off making the people around him happy.
"Good work, mate! That dough is coming along nicely. Just need it for a couple more minutes and it should be good!"
Food brought people together, right? Well, by Rio's calculations, proving bread dough would keep people together for at least an hour.
"This is fun! Thanks for inviting me to bake with you," Acquia laughed, unperturbed by the flour covering his clothes.
"Hey Rio, what is it you wanted?"
Perfect timing. Right as they'd have to wait for the bread dough to rise, you arrived in the room.
"Hey! I was hoping you could draw a picture of Acquia for me. You know, since he's such a good friend I wanted to send a picture of him home so my father would know what he looks like."
It was a flimsy excuse at best. But he was hoping that with the simmering feelings you had for each other, neither of you would question him.
"Okay," you seemed hesitant, and Acquia was a blushing mess, but you were sitting down and taking out a notepad.
"I'll add color later, right now it'll just be a rough sketch. Just go about as normal, Acquia."
Acquia nodded, but seemed at a loss. But Rio was prepared for this.
"Oy! Rio! There's a weird weed we need to get out of the garden!"
Thoma rushed into the room with his pre-prepared excuse. It wasn't good acting, but it would suffice.
"Ah, I should see to that."
Both of you stood up, seemingly ready to help.
"No no, you guys have to stay here and watch the dough. Don't take it out of the drawer until it has at least doubled in size."
Then he and Thoma left you both, triumphant grins on their faces.

                               ….
"I hope they're okay," Acquia muttered.
It had been quite a while since Rio and Thoma had left, and if you knew anything about Saligian plants, it was that it was very possible for them to eat humans.  But you weren't going to upset Acquia.
"Rio's tough, I'm sure he's fine."
"Yeah, you're right. He probably got hungry and went out for a victory snack."
You finished up the final touches of your sketch, then set down your pencil.
"Okay, all done!"
You pushed the paper over to Acquia, and held back a giggle as he started blushing again.
"This is how you see me? I look so….I guess the word is sweet."
"Well yeah," you said matter of factly. "You're my sweet Acquia."
"Your Acquia?"
That's when you realized how it sounded, and got flustered yourself. Not that you meant it any other way, but you didn't know if he was ready for that.
"I…" he whispered, "I'd like to be yours."
"R-really?" You found yourself caught off guard.
"I mean….yeah. I like the idea of being your Acquia. It makes me feel," he blew out a frustrated breath, like he couldn't find the word he was looking for.
"I guess the idea of being yours makes me very happy," he finished, nodding to himself.
"Well, if you're mine, then I have to be yours. Those are the rules," you said, hoping to regain some of the footing he just knocked out from under you.
His smile was as bright as the sun as he gently took your hand and said, "I'd like that a lot. I'd be the happiest prince to ever live."
He frowned.
"I do have one request though. Can you draw a different picture of me for Rio? I want to keep this one."
                                   ….
That was a day of many firsts for Rio. Two of his best friends became paramours, and, for the first time in his life, he forgot he was baking bread.
Later, when you gave him the second picture of Acquia, he had also forgotten what the thing he needed it for was.
And that was what reminded you how great of a friend Rio could be.

Art by @hithren, @palitaniaart, and @heroicn0nsense.
TL;DR: Vy’thanis Lusignon is a dark-skinned Duskwight Elezen with red highlights in his collar-length black hair. His eyes are teal. Gnarled scars about two inches wide form bands around both wrists. He is very friendly and often smiling.
Face Claim:
Tumblr media
Hair Color and Style: Vyth has black, slightly wavy hair that falls to his collar bone. Unlike many people with black hair, his hair does not have blue or raven-wing highlights, but reddish ones instead - proving his hair to truly be darkest possible brown instead of true black. The faint wave in it is natural and requires very little styling. He usually just combs it and lets it hang loose, unless he’s out mining which is when he gathers it back into a short, stubby ponytail or bun. Texturally, his hair is soft but not silken, owing to a general lack of fancy hair oils or conditioners. Said dark hair can also be found on his face in the form of a neatly trimmed goatee that frames his lips and chin. If left alone, he can grow a more robust full beard, but he tends to prefer the tidier lines of his goatee (lines he has to shave in every few days to stay neat). A light amount of hair is also present on his forearms, chest, happy trail, and legs.
Face: Vy'thanis has a heart-shaped face with a pointed chin that is only emphasized by his dark goatee and a noticeable widow’s peak in his black hair. His cheekbones are not very sharp, but his jaw is quite angular. His nose is long and slightly aquiline (appearing just a little bent in the bridge), though a little narrow for his face. His ears are a little high-set, long, and pointy; they stick straight out from the sides of his head, though they are very mobile and expressive when he’s showing emotion.
Skin Tone: Though he is a Duskwight, he could pass for one of his lighter skinned cousins simply because his rich brown skin doesn’t have the grey cast of his own people. Trying to leave food comparisons aside, his skin is more of a walnut wood color. In the real world, he might be Middle Eastern or Indian. Of particular note, he has a two inch wide band of scarring around each wrist.
Body Type/Build: He is tall and broad-shouldered with a torso that leads to a slim waistline. His arms are relatively beefy from swinging a pickaxe on the regular, but he’s otherwise just fit and trim.
Clothing Style: Vyth prefers interesting prints and colors in his clothing. He does favor blues, purples, and greens. There’s often some element of unique embroidery or fascinating beading on his clothes. He tends towards slim pants and a looser tunic-style top; think salwar kameez.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jewelry: While Vyth is a gemcutter by trade, he doesn’t actually wear a lot of jewelry himself. Sometimes he wears several silver rings on his fingers or a simple crystal pendant, but he never, ever wears anything around his wrists.
Demeanor: Vyth is a very cheery character, prone to making friends everywhere he goes. A sadness haunts him that he covers with warm smiles and open arms. He tends towards Chaotic Good with a heavy element of “my rules, my way.” He loves to travel and goes all over Eorzea and beyond for the jewels he uses in his gemcutting.

The festival also celebrates the eternal love of Radha and Krishna, where Lord Krishna is depicted as playing pranks with colors on Radha and her friends. INDIAN DRESS CULTURE
Tumblr media
Indian dress culture is a rich and diverse tapestry of traditional clothing styles and designs that vary depending on the region, religion, and cultural heritage. Indian dress culture has a long history that dates back to ancient times, and it has evolved over the centuries, reflecting the influences of different rulers and invaders, as well as social, political, and economic changes.
Traditional Indian clothing is known for its vibrant colors, intricate designs, and rich fabrics. Some of the most popular traditional clothing styles include sarees, salwar kameez, lehenga choli, and kurta pajama. These garments are typically made from cotton, silk, or other natural fibers, and are often adorned with intricate embroidery, beadwork, and other decorative elements.
Sarees are long pieces of cloth that are draped around the body and are popular among women in India. They come in a wide variety of styles, designs, and colors and are often worn for special occasions and celebrations.
Salwar kameez is a traditional outfit worn by women in North India and Pakistan. It consists of a long tunic top called a kameez, and loose-fitting pants called salwar. The outfit is usually made from cotton, silk, or other lightweight fabrics and is worn for everyday wear as well as formal occasions.
Lehenga choli is a traditional outfit worn by women in North India, especially during weddings and festivals. It consists of a long skirt called a lehenga, a short blouse called a choli, and a dupatta (a long scarf) that is draped over the head.
Kurta pajama is a traditional outfit worn by men in India. It consists of a long tunic called a kurta, and loose-fitting pants called pajama. The outfit is usually made from cotton, silk, or other lightweight fabrics and is worn for everyday wear as well as formal occasions.
In addition to these traditional styles, Indian fashion has also been influenced by Western fashion trends, and many Indians now wear Western-style clothing as well. However, traditional clothing styles remain an important part of Indian culture and are still worn by many people, especially during festivals, weddings, and other special occasions.
Tumblr media
HISTORY OF INDIAN CLOTHES:
The history of Indian clothes dates back to ancient times, and it has evolved over the centuries, reflecting the influences of different rulers, invaders, and social, political, and economic changes.
During the Indus Valley Civilization (2600 BCE-1900 BCE), people in India wore garments made of cotton and silk, and there is evidence of jewelry and accessories made of precious metals and stones.
The Mauryan Empire (322 BCE-185 BCE) is known for the development of the dhoti, a long rectangular piece of cloth worn by men that is wrapped around the waist and legs. The dhoti was also worn by women during this time, along with the saree, which was draped around the body and over the head.
The Mughal Empire (1526 CE-1857 CE) had a significant impact on Indian dress culture, introducing new styles and fabrics, such as the churidar, a form-fitting legging, and the anarkali, a long, flowing dress. The Mughals also brought with them the art of embroidery, which became an important part of Indian dress.
During the British colonial period (1858 CE-1947 CE), Indian dress culture was further influenced by Western fashion trends, with many Indians adopting Western-style clothing. However, traditional clothing styles remained popular, especially among the rural population.
After India gained independence in 1947, there was a renewed interest in traditional Indian dress, with designers and fashion houses exploring new styles and fabrics. Today, Indian dress culture is a vibrant mix of traditional and modern styles, with a wide variety of clothing styles and designs available for both men and women.

Salwar Kameez: A Timeless Outfit for Every Occasion
Salwar Kameez is a traditional outfit for women that originated in South Asia and is worn in countries like India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. The dress includes a long tunic top (kameez), loose-fitting pants (salwar), and a scarf or shawl (dupatta). It comes in various styles and designs ranging from simple and elegant to elaborate and heavily embroidered. If you want to purchase Salwar Kameez, there are many brands and designers that offer a variety of options, including Fabindia, Biba, W, and Manyavar, to name a few. However, Suti Vastra is a brand that specializes in high-quality Salwar Kameez with exquisite designs, premium fabrics, and attention to detail. They offer casual and formal Salwar Kameez in a wide range of colors, patterns, and styles to cater to your taste and budget.
The Salwar Kameez is a traditional outfit that has been worn by women in South Asia for centuries. It is a comfortable, elegant, and versatile attire that has become an integral part of South Asian fashion. The dress originated during the Mughal era, which was a period of great artistic and cultural influence in South Asia. Initially, it was worn by women in the Mughal court and was considered a symbol of royalty and elegance. Over time, it became popular among women of all classes and regions and evolved into a versatile and stylish outfit that is now worn by women worldwide.
There are different styles of Salwar Kameez available in the market.
 Anarkali Suits
Tumblr media
The Anarkali Salwar Kameez is a popular style that features a long, flowing tunic with a flared bottom that is reminiscent of the Mughal era. It is often paired with tight-fitting churidar pants and a dupatta.
 Straight Suits
Tumblr media
The Straight Cut Salwar Kameez, on the other hand, features a straight-cut tunic with no flare and is usually paired with loose-fitting salwar pants and a dupatta.
Palazzo Salwar Kameez is another style that features a tunic top paired with a wide-legged, loose-fitting pants called Palazzo, which is comfortable and trendy and can be worn for both casual and formal occasions and finally.
 Pakistani Suits
Tumblr media
the Pakistani Salwar Kameez is a popular style in Pakistan that features a long tunic top paired with loose-fitting shalwar pants. The tunic is often heavily embroidered or embellished with sequins, beads, or stones.
Salwar Kameez is typically made of comfortable and breathable fabrics like cotton, silk, chiffon, georgette, and crepe.
The choice of fabric depends on the occasion and the season. For casual wear, cotton and linen are preferred as they are comfortable and easy to maintain. For formal occasions, silk, chiffon, and georgette are preferred as they have a more luxurious look and feel.
There are many benefits to wearing Salwar Kameez. It is comfortable to wear and easy to move around in, making it ideal for women who are looking for an outfit that is both stylish and comfortable. It is also versatile and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Salwar Kameez can be accessorized with jewelry, bags, and shoes to create a personalized look. For South Asian women living abroad, Salwar Kameez is a way to stay connected to their cultural roots and express their identity. Finally, Salwar Kameez provides a modest option for women who prefer to cover up their arms and legs, making it ideal for those who want to dress conservatively without compromising on style.
When it comes to styling Salwar Kameez, it is essential to choose the right fit that flatters your body type.

Tips on Surviving Tripple Digit Heat Waves
By A South Florida Local
1. DRINK WATER
I know everyone else says this already, but it bears repeating, DRINK WATER. No, more than that. Get an insulated water bottle, a straw if that’s your fancy, and keep that full and on you at all times. (I like to throw some fruity type herbal tea into the bottle for flavor). Try to have fruits and vegetables that have lots of water, and don’t worry too much about avoiding salt because you do need some for those electrolytes.
2. Shade and airflow are your new best friends because...
Tumblr media
Channel your inner little ole lady and avoid sunlight like a vampire. Umbrellas will often double as great parasols. Hats with wide brims are excellent AND fashionable. If you’re going to carry around a hand fan (which I super recomment, the bigger the better) make sure to only fan yourself languidly, lest your overwork yourself and just increase the overall heat in your body. Beach umbrellas are not just for the beach, they work fine in a back yard or park too. If you’re feeling crafty you can probably rig up some awnings to extend shade over your windows. Remember that shade kinda works cumulatively, the more you have, the less time the air is in the sun, the longer it has to cool before getting to you.
3. Eat light, avoid heavy, rich foods.
Try to eat lighter foods that have more water in them like fruits and veggies. Cucumbers are especially good because they’re basically 70% water, 20% fiber, 10% electrolyte. Stuff like red meat, red wine, high fats foods, anything that would give you gout pretty much, puts a toll on your digestive system and works to warm you up. Now is the time to find out what all the hype around gazpacho is about. What the hell is an acai bowl? Refreshing is what it is. Go patronize your local thai restaurant, they know how to make food appropriate to this weather.
** Extra tip! Take you favorite juice, or tea, or whatever, put it in a mold or a cup with a stick in it throw it in the freezer, boom, cheap, low sugar popsicles.  Keeps the little ones entertained, and if you make it with some chicken broth you can give it to the pups.
4. Dress in LOOSE, LIGHT, and NATURAL clothes.
Think of how the native folks of naturally hot and humid climates tend to dress. Big Native american Ribbon Skirts and Poofy blouses, the loose baggy pants of a salwar kameez, the incredible volume and colors of a hatian quadrille. Contrary to instinct, you actually want longsleeves in sunny weather to keep the deadly UV rays off your skin. Layers should be minimal though, and as little polyester as you can manage. Linen is best with cotton being the next best.  Silk and leather are horrible and will basically turn you into a human green house. (I know a lot about wool in theory but little in practice. Probably still a good option if you’re out by the water). Avoid dark colors as they absorb a lot more heat that they will then keep directly across your skin (ouch).  If you’re a goth who only dresses in black wool, go get a nice-ish cotton/linen bed sheet, and go to this  link and help bring the ancient greek chiton back into style. Once you’re done with it you can still use it as a bed sheet.
5. External Water.
if you can get off to the coast for a bit, I would recommend it.  Coastal areas tend to have the sea breeze, and the ocean is good at absorbing heat, plus being able to submerge yourself in water will help you cool off.  If you can’t get to a beach, a little tub of water just enough to dip your feet into will go a long way. And as many people other than me have already pointed out, a wet towel across the back of the neck can work wonders.
6. Bonus Bits
- As obvious as drink water, but wear sunscreen. You can sunburn bad enough to give yourself a fever, this is especially true with CHILDREN.
- Speaking of children and any other smol creatures in your care, DOUBLE EVERYTHING ABOVE. They are tiny and so everything happens to them MORE. See #3 for popsicle ideas.
- Avoid energy drinks, if iced coffee or extra strong tea won’t get you through the day then it’s not worth the kidney damage.
-outside is not your enemy if your house is built like an oven.  remember, you need SHADE and a BREEZE. If you don’t have your own, store bought is fine.
-libraries and museums tend to be temperature controlled. support your local institutions
- avoid being outside/in the sun during the hottest part of the day (normally 3-5ish), and if you’re going to be out and about, night time is best.
- Keep your hair off your neck, just trust me.
