Haha yes! I have this list from years ago but it is way past time for an update.

Disclaimer: these are just things I like, please heed all tags and warnings etc. I'm also not reccing any WIPs because unfinished fics kill me every time.

Two short takes on soulmate tropes that have to go first because I love them so much, I love soulmate aus, Tim and Kon are soulmates, the end.

Where There's a Wish by LeeayreBeing Robin’s vessel is hard enough: the exhaustion, the life-threatening late night activities, the bruises and bullet holes and broken bones. Trying to hide all that from his incredibly suspicious, incredibly hot new roommate while maintaining his studies and placating his parents? Tim has never had it so hard. Especially since said roommate doesn’t actually know he’s Superboy.

So the setup for this is unusual, I'm not sure if it's based on anything but: superhero identities are Personas, independent (basically magical) personalities created by the wishes of a person or groups of people who act through hosts that have the will to manifest whatever that persona does. Basically: Robin is an independent persona, Tim shares his body with him and when Robin manifests the costume and all the gadgets appear. It's explained throughout the story, but just in case you start it and are like wtf is happening. This possibly should go in the thirds section because the actual pairings in this are: Robin/Tim, Red Robin/Tim, Tim/Kon, Red Robin/Tim/Kon, Red Robin/Superboy, and Red Robin/Superboy/Tim. Red Robin can also be kind of dubconny so watch out for that if it's a concern.

Wing Beats in Reverse by firefrightJason Todd is the third Robin, not the second, growing up in shadow of Tim Drake's death. Despite this, he still manages to form strong bonds with his new family. Especially Damian, who wishes to atone for his past mistakes with Jason's predecessor. But when he's fifteen, a mysterious red hooded figure kidnaps Jason from the rooftops of Gotham, and after that his life will never be the same again.

A Robin reversal AU (ie Damian is the eldest, Dick the youngest) that's Jason-centric but of course that doesn't lessen the Tim angst. Or the Kon angst when he finds out Tim is alive. Hopeful ending, but it doesn't fix everything.Other pairings: JayRoy, StephCass (barely)

Time Flies by by LaroyenaJon Kent is Superboy. Tim's gut instinct tells him that's wrong.(Timkon fix-it where reboot!Tim misses Kon like a phantom limb. And then he gets him back.)

Sometimes you just need to cry over the lack of Kon in your life and this fic provides the PERFECT excuse. Heartbreaking and then happy. (Also brings Colin back UNLIKE DC.)Other pairings: implied Clex

Not Completely Powerless After All by ChimaeraKittenNobody was quite prepared for the kid who runs the company to visit, but they manage, in fact, they might be pleasantly surprised; they weren't expecting him to be nice. Of course, they weren't expecting him to be a possible ninja either, but you gotta take the good with the bad.

Outsider POV!!! I have never watched Powerless so you definitely don't need to be familiar with it, this is just a glorious casefic told by someone who doesn’t know it’s a case.

Matters of the Heart by DMWith Clark off-world as an ambassador to Earth, Conner has to watch over Metropolis. Though it should be straightforward, there appears to be something amiss with seemingly random crimes happening around the city. Conner has a hunch that they’re connected and calls in his best friend to help. But as the two of them spend time together working the case, Conner realizes that his feelings for Tim might not be what he had thought.

A long casefic with feelings, basically everything I ever want.

Stumbling Home by bewaretheboojumIn his mid-twenties, Tim moves back to Gotham City after several years living abroad. He's feeling adrift, unfocused and a little off balance as he tries to re-establish a life in his home town.Kon is a fireman by day and superhero by night. When mysterious fires start cropping up in Metropolis, all signs point to arson. Who better to help him get to the bottom of this arson case than Tim? And really, it seems like Tim could use the distraction...

Another casefic with older TimKon. I didn't like the initial setup with Tim having abandoned his friends for years but it won me over in the end.

the honesty in your body by LaroyenaLuthor's tech saved Kon's life at the cost of his mind. Tim must take a feral Kon across space to restore his humanity... which is just as difficult as one may think.(Batman Omegaverse AU: unabashed TimKon porn detailing their original get-together in their early teens to their definite get-together in their late teens. But mostly porn.)

Yep, this is mostly omegaverse porn and it's excellent and I love it, I really don't know what else to tell you.Other pairings: BruDick

Tim is missing everything.One day Krypto practically drags Superboy to a remote island in Europe and there's a dark haired guy smiling at Kon like he knows him.Maybe he does.

Sandman crossover but I haven't read Sandman in 500 years so you don't need to know most of it. Kind of identity porn, but more...fraught. Excellent Tim angst (there...might be a pattern here) and I'll be honest I'm not very into all the witches and stuff but overall very enjoyable.

Nowhere But Forward by MishaBerryIt shouldn't have happened the way it did.When Kon finds Tim in Paris, it leads to a night that neither of them will ever forget, for better or for worse. Tim is then forced to confront something he's been denying about himself for a very long time, and Kon begins to question some things about himself. The road ahead is full of twists and turns, but there's nowhere to go but forward.

I really love long fics, but tbh I found this started to drag a little towards the end. I still enjoy it overall with delicious Tim angst.

Plus One SectionSometimes when pickings are slim we can try food we wouldn't normally eat, and sometimes it's delicious. Which is to say these are fics with Tim/Kon/Another Person. Don't go any further if this upsets your OTP soul, I completely understand.

TimKonBartTroika by glitterandlubeThis is kind of written like crack and definitely won't appeal to everyone, but it's a fix-it of preboot where instead of living with the Kents in Smallville and becoming the country boy of Teen Titans (2003) Kon moves to Gotham and then scores with Tim and eventually Bart. Follows the previous canon's timeline almost to the start of Red Robin. Some (honestly warranted) bashing of Steph but also of Lois Lane (???).Also contains explicit Tim/Dick.Other pairings: Clex, JayDick

TimKonCassieTrymmetry by glymrWhy do they feel like something's missing?

Set in a universe where Kryptonians form triad soulbonds. Kon and Cassie have both always been thinking about Tim when they're together, and after Kon comes back they can no longer deny it. They have to find Tim. I wish this was ten times longer.

Perfect because Kon is an ACTUAL DRAGON though it does lean on his YJ cartoon characterization.

FBI agents Tim Drake and Conner Kent are sent to Arkham Heights High School to investigate a series of unexplainable incidents that have both staff and students on edge. Tim's firmly of the opinion the school is haunted while Kon is positive the occurrences can be explained in a more reasonable manner. After all, he doesn't believe in ghosts.Right? Right?

Horror casefic where Tim had a previous thing with Jason but also a thing with Kon so sharing is the way to go, especially when you're more (or maybe just equally) concerned about being murdered by ghosts in a haunted former asylum.

Okay I am stopping now because otherwise I will continue forever. I hope this satisfies some hunger.

StarKid Homecoming Review 7-25-19 Show.

WARNING THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR STARKID HOMECOMING. IF YOU WANT THE SHOW TO BE A SURPRISE PLEASE GO BACK NOW, BECAUSE ONCE YOU START READING THERE IS NO GOING BACK.

This review is what I can remember because my mind is jumbled.

Before the show even started I was able to meet the amazing Corey Lubowich who I just said thank you to for everything he does and got a picture with him. (Thank you Corey!) I also got to say hi to Tessa Netting who I’ve followed for years and took a photo with her. She’s the sweetest!

Okay so Act 1: Darren came out and did a intro. Then they started with the most recent musical

TGWDLM: it was amazing! Also in TGWDLM Mariah sang Jamie’s part but we soon would see why because Jamie slayed “it is time to die!!” The screams for that OMG, then Robert did Show Stopping Number and the audience lost their cool. He was so amazing!!

On to Firebringer: I liked seeing the vine (“I don’t really wanna do the work today”) performed live (lol) and it was neat but I honestly know nothing about the show except the work today song and “the duck is Lord” so I was confused a bit. I need to watch Firebringer. They also performed the finale song.

TTO- they sang Gone to Oregon which was great and then they did Naked In A Lake which made me so happy because it is my favorite song from TTO, then they did Speed Run and OMG how they managed to sing and dance just WOW.

Ani- We got to hear Mark, Clark and Nick Gage sing which was awesome!! Meredith was in this one too. I loved Ani and it’s one of my favorites so I was glad it got some love. They performed Ani, With My Own Eyes and Back on Top.

Twisted - they did No One Remembers Achmed including the infamous Tiger F***er and when Robert said that cheers were so loud, then one of my favorite Starkid girls Britney Coleman came out and sang a thousand and one nights with freaking Carlos Valdes!! I screamed so loud because I love the Flash and I was so excited to see him! Then Dylan, Rachel and Jeff sang Happy Ending.

Holy Musical B@tman- Nick Gage sang the title song (Holy Musical Batman) solo which was so nice I liked seeing him get some of the spotlight. They did Rogues Are We which I love and Super Friends with Nick Gage as Robin instead of Nick Lang because I assume Nick L. didn’t want to perform because he is in charge of everything. (LOL)

Starship- Mariah and Alex Paul dueted Status Quo and it was beautiful, then Dylan came out and did Kick It Up a Notch which I cheered so loud about (Sorry other fans for that) and then they did I Wanna Be and Brant came out and I lost my cool again and cheered loudly.

MAMD - MAMD Joey acted very dramatic before beginning the song which was hilarious, Joe W. came out running dropped the mic and sprained his ankle in the process, then AJ sang listen to your heart and my heart soared (I love AJ.) and then Ali Gordon and Alle-Faye came out and sang part of Ready to Go then everyone came out and joined in for the song that is how they ended Act 1.

There was a fifteen or so minute intermission before Act 2. Before Act 2 began Nick Lang came out to introduce the second half of the show. You all I cheered so loud for him, it is not a secret on here that I love Nick Lang. So I was happy to see him (I also saw him talking to Matt before the show and waved at him when he looked my way, but I am not sure he saw me. It was pretty dark.)

Alright you all I don’t remember the exact order they were in but we have reached The Potter Musical part of Homecoming. Are you ready? We are about to Go Back To Hogwarts.

As I said Nick Introduced Act 2 which was everything Harry Potter related and Nick told us thank you for the support and that he loved us. (WE LOVE YOU NICK!!)

GBTH - Darren came out and the cheers were so loud. He began singing the song and everyone was singing along which was magical. Then Joey came out and my ears hurt from how loud everyone cheered they sang their voice and did the floo powder power arm waves then the amazing Bonnie entered and OMG the cheers for her were so loud and went on so long they had a hard time starting again. It made me cry to see how much love Bonnie got. Then Lauren came out and sang Draco’s part I was kinda gutted they didn’t sing the Cho Chang part since Tyler was there to do his part but oh well. After Lauren sang everyone came out on stage and Dylan entered from the back of the theater and WOW he held that note for welcome so long. Amazing!!! Darren said something about never being able to find the swimming pool and Tyler did his infamous “Hufflepuff’s are particularly good finders” which got major cheers and I barely heard Dylan’s reply. The energy just got GBTH was so amazing. Truly magical I got goosebumps!!

After GBTH they sang Harry Freaking Potter which is always amazing & sadly I don’t remember much from this part.

After Harry Freaking Potter I do not remember what order the sang the songs in and I do apologize for that. I do remember what they sang however. I do know the two finale numbers and the end but that’s coming in a few more paragraphs.

Darren came out after one of the songs with his guitar and had us sing with him because he could not remember the words to “Cho Chang” the line “Wanna take you up to Winnipeg that’s in Canada” was so loud and Darren was like “Alright you guys know this song.” After that he sang The Dragon Song which he really hates some of the lines he wrote. All of us in the Audience sang the “la, la, la’s.” Did I mention Darren hates some of this song?

After the Dragon Song Darren took his guitar and went back to stand near the band and Lauren and Joey came out and so begins Granger Danger. Joey and Lauren shook hands before the song began and Lauren during the second “What? What the hell is this?” part when she and Joey are overlapping looked down at her crotch like in the show, I was laughing at that. She kills it with her acting and her voice.

Bonnie came out and sang part of The Coolest Girl before being joined by Meredith and they dueted the rest of the song and it was beautiful. Also two bada** Hermione’s on stage together. LOVE IT.

Darren sang To Have a Home which made me tear up. I relate to that song so much and was just thinking of how much StarKid truly means to me during this song. We all were home together in a theater in L.A. watching people we love do what they love. I get chills from thinking about this part. This was truly the part of the show were I thought to myself HOLY CRAP I AM ACTUALLY HERE. (Apologies to the guy sitting next to me for my crying.)

Brian R. and Joe W. came out and sang Different as Can Be complete with the back to back part. That was awesome and I love Joe and Brian’s voices so I was so excited to see them sing together.

Joe W. came out and sang To Dance Again and everyone clapped and sang along, I loved Joe’s energy during this song because even with a injury he was dancing around the stage and doing the Voldemort jumps etc. He gets major props for that. Also Brian R. and Darren came out during the “On your feet” part and Darren did all the dances Brian sang and at the final chorus he Brian R. and Joe W. did a kickline together. I DIED.

Tyler came out and I lost my voice cheering for him. (and Nick and Jon) I’ve been dying to see Tyler perform since the very beginning and he is one of my favorites and way back when my friend and I briefly ran the Tyler Brunsman Street Team. Tyler of course sang Guys Like Potter with Joe Moses joining in of course. You all I know I am repeating myself but this was magical, I love this song and Tyler and Joe M. so I was in awe.

AJ Holmes turned after one of the songs to the audience to say “enough about this Potter boy their should be w new wizard” or something along that line I can not remember word for word and someone shouted “what is your fantasy” and he did the entire Gildroy becoming a mouse Prince monologue. I loved it so much and was dying of laughter. Especially when he shouted at us “WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?” AJ then sang Wizard of the Year complete with the female backup. I loved hearing AJ sing.

Joey came out and sang Sidekick. When he sang “Am I the hottest?” he got the biggest scream and it was so funny to hear him sing “No I’m not” after that.

Jamie came out and began singing Not Alone with Darren, Joey and Bonnie joining her during the song. This is another song that hits me right in the feels. I truly believe this is a StarKid anthem because I know I’ve felt alone a lot in life and this song has gotten me through so many bad times. StarKid has gotten me through bad times. One of my favorite parts of the show.

Brian R and Robert came out and dueted Everything Ends and were joined by the whole cast. The mood for this song was very somber and this song is just so moving.

The whole cast came out and did Voldemort is Going Down and even had us stomp our feet in time with them during the song so Joe Walker could hear it in the back and be scared.

Sadly this is the last song and it was of course Days of Summer. Just watching everyone dance together and sing along was a joy. Then Darren invited us to all stand on our feet and join in for one more singing of Going Back to Hogwarts with them. I screamed Ravenclaw really loud to make my fellow Ravenclaw’s proud. After that it was time for the bows and everyone clapped and cheered and Brian R. stayed on stage with his fist raised for a long time, so Nick Lang came out and was all “Brian the show is over Voldemort is dead we won.” something along that line. Then Brian goes “dead?” mimes skipping a rock and sinks to his knees. About that time Joe W. came out and they did the whole “Is okay good part” then rang to each other and stood back to back before being joined by the whole cast singing Not Alone again and then we sang GBTH again and the show was over. We all clapped and cheered for a long time and AJ and Clark had to wave us out of the theater.

All in all it was an amazing night and I will never forget it. I am sure I am forgetting some things that happened and I do apologize for that. Thank you StarKid for an amazing ten years, I love and adore each and everyone of you. I can not wait for what is next.

*inspired by the Justice League I watched last night*

It was almost the end of the world…. Weird creatures attacking our planet again … Nothing else to do, besides unite!

You weren’t allowed to go to battle with your husband, definitely not because you were pregnant. But simply because you don’t quite have superpowers besides sneaking and knowing secrets, oh boy the secrets you knew ... That was what you were trading with.

It has been 52 hours since they left. No internet, no news. You and another girl stood in the huge living room. You were peacefully reading a book and she was nervously pouting around.

- Can you please stop! - she looked shocked at you. - Your first rodeo?

She really looked worried.

- They will be fine. – you turn the other page. - My boy … finance, already died once … - Lucky you … - that came up completely wrong, well not that much, sometimes you wish yours was dead too, but only sometimes - I meant… You know, they will at least go back for him. - there was bitterness in your voice. Will they go back for yours too…

Another hour passed by.

- Why aren’t you worried? - I live with the thought my King may die any second, so we live like there will be no tomorrow. And instead of us doing it so now, I pursway him to go and help … - your eyes hot tearly. - Oh, it’s ok … - she rushed to you - Don’t cry, it’s bad for the baby.

You brust in laughing.

- It’s my 6-th one darling, I know how to handle babies.

Her eyes widened.

- 6? - Yep, he said we will never have sex again after the twins, which was like 2 and half years ago, but he lasted only 3 days… - you both laughed - And I got him drunk 5 months ago, we had unprotected sex, and voala! - you pointed at your big belly. - Wow… - What about you, any kids, plans, something … Or you are waiting after the wedding. - Well he was… - she paused for a second. - Oh dear ... - you rubbed her back - I didn’t mention to strike a nerve here. - No, he was in … coma, we weren’t sure if he was going to wake up. So we are keeping it slow, for now.

You smiled. An old man came in, holding a baby boy.

- Simeone’s clingy. - Come here. - you took your son. - Say “hello” Brandon. - the boy stopped crying as he saw you and waved at the girl. After he hugged you for a while. He took off and went to the old man. - Looks like uncle Al got himself busy! - you joked after you saw the others creeping him from behind. - Yes. - he answered calmly. But you could tell he was at the pick of his happiness. - So… - she looked questioning. - God, no! - you laughed.

Another hour went by.

You were dying on the inside, but didn’t let your kids see it. They had dinner and went to bed. You and the girl were yet again left alone; “uncle Al” was on duty to help the team United. As you could understand from your oldest daughter it wasn’t sunshine and rainbows there. It was very possible they may die wile saving the world. She just texted you this.

- How old are they? - The oldest girl is 12, the other is 6, the boy is 4 and the twins are 2 and a half. - you simply smiled and suddenly burst into tears. She came and hug you again. - Please don’t cry, if it wasn’t for you, I’d be dead by worry right now. - I am dead already … - you manage to sob, hugging your belly - this will be my last memory if him. - Don’t talk like this. They will… - No one will care, not to mention come back for the Clown Prince Of Crime! - you yelled. She froze, moving away at the couch. - Yeah, Ms. Lane, they will come back for your alien, but no one will do for my King. - you wiped your tears and got up. - Now if you excuse me, I need to pee.

It was around 3 in the morning. She hasn’t spoke to you since you told her who you are. Alfred didn’t call either with news.

- So why are you here, as you are the bad guy? - she asked with visible hate in her tone. - Who do you think made all the “ bad guys” - you made air quotes with you fingers - go and join the quest? I trade with secrets, and I am also very good at convincing people … As they had the guts, and found it their duty to rob a bank, it is their duty to save the world they live in, as there will be no banks to rob otherwise… - she stayed silent, she knew you were right, but refused to admit it. - They are back! - Alfred informed on the com.

* At the Jet Plane*

- Someone wake him up! - Are you serious? - Arthur, do as I say! - Is he dead? - No, Barry, he is not dead, but we will be, if he is not awake when we land. - He is alive! - You have that kind of system too, awesome. – Barry fangirled. - Can you wake him up, Victor? - I think yes, Barry will have to sting him a little, and he will be fine. - No way man, that’s the Joker, I am not gonna touch him! - Are you scared of him to? - It’s not funny mermaid. - Don’t call me mermaid, Tin man. - Boys, calm down! - Thank you, Diana. Why are you so quiet, Clark? - I want to rest, that’s it. - Guys, he is waking up, he is waking up … - Barry stepped away, next to Victor. Arthur was sitting between Clark and Diana. And all were staring at J, lying across them. - Fuck… - he yelled, putting his hand on his head. - You will live, it’s just a scratch, Victor said it won’t even leave a scar. - But my hair is ruined, B! She is soo gonna kill you! - We just won a … - You haven’t met his Queen! - Bruce was fast enough to answer.

Mr. J just smiled and sit.

- Do you want a pain killer? - Victor asked. - I live for the pain! - he growled - Are you scared child? - Nope, I am not, completely not … - You should be. Btw who is keeping my wife company? - Louis. - You left my fiance with the maniac’s wife? - Clark stood up, and Diana follows, worried they will get in a fight again. - Chill, the only think your chatty reporter can learn from my maniac wife is how to get you drunk and get herself pregnant.

And then it happened … Bruce brust into laughter. A thing no one had seen or heard before. He was laughing loudly. And it was a pure heart laughter.

- Don’t laugh man. Just don’t … Not that I don’t love them, just … I am not sure if I am physically able to love them all ant not broke into pieces.

They were all again shattered by this simple and yet unexpected confession. And how close these two “arch enemies” seem to be.

- It’s the 6-th one right? - Yeah … I think she is planning on collection or something. - J said, fixing what’s left of his hair. He was having a big scratch on his right, and half of his hair was gone. - Wait … - Diana started - you are enemies. - Yes we are … - Bruce said. - We kinda created each other … So … Why not go friends as well? - You are friends? - Jealous much, Superman? - J blinked at him. - I named one of my kids after him. - J lied back - Me and my wifey were on a romantic date, breakibg into Gotham First Bank, and the old rat, over there, took forever to come and catch us, that we manage to even had sex. It was awkward… - Having sex in the vault? - Barry asked. - It was awkward for me catching them… - Doing it in the vault … - J started laughing. - Because of people like this I live in the ocean. - So your son is named after him? - Clark asked. - No, Bruce is an ugly name, we picked Brandon instead. - I am gonna finally see him. - Well you would’ve done it earlier when they were born, my Queen send you an invitation. - I was busy. - Yeah, go and lie someone else… - J played it offended.

The plane landed.

- How’s my hair? - J asked Diana. She stared at him, with no answer. - You are fine. - Bruce tapped his shoulder. - You know you are getting it, right. - Yeah I know.

The plane door opened, Arthur was first followed by Diana and Clark, and Barry and Victor, J was fixing his hair in desperate attempt to hide the half that was missing.

You and Lois were standing there waiting. Clark come and hug her. You on the other hand were not that patient and went through, as you walk, Victor stood at your way.

- Go away, overgrown toaster! – you yelled and he stepped away in surprise. - Oh, boy! – Barry whispered, certain you will be in his “I am afraid of” list. As you saw J you screamed loudly, causing everyone to turn at you. - Your eyes are red. A few tears for your long-lost boss? - Tears of joy, I hate job hunting. - Vacations over! – he said grinning. Quoting movie lines was indeed your thing.

You rushed and hug him. He was dirty and smelly, but it didn’t matter to you. You cover him in kissed while crying loudly. He just pet your hair, the long looks he so much love. As you stopped to take a breath you noticed his wound. You gasped and covered your mouth; tears were coming all over again.

- Chill, Doll, it won’t even leave a scar, and … the hair will grow back again. – he started.

You looked at Batman.

- Ma’am.

You smiled. And kissed your King’s lips gently.

- Ugh … you stink… - Like s superhero, I know! – he hugged you and started walking to the inside of the cave. - It’s disgrosting!
