10/10 stunning Yuuko moment.
(secretly every Yuuko moment is a 10/10 stunning Yuuko moment BUT THIS ONE IS PARTICULARLY NICE)
BUT WAIT MORE THOUGHTS MORE THOUGHTS. It turns out Clow Reed stopped Yuuko at the point of her death, but I have questions! Did he know about her death ahead of time and stopped it as it was happening? Or did she Actually Die and he turned back time to save her, like Lava Lamp? Because I would expect something a bit more Universe Breaking from Clow Reed.
DID he Reverse Time to save her, and if he did, did he end up creating a clone person in the process? And who was it? Was it the Other Clow Reed who ended up in the Clow Kingdom, or was it Evil Wolverine maybe?
Or! Is Yuuko maybe actually a clone? Like, a clone of the person who actually died and frozen at that exact moment of her existence forever?
We have some fun options here.
But also that looks like it's the end of the chapter.

Things Long Gone
for a phic phight prompt from @armed-with-knitting-needles
Edward Lancer woke up the same way he did every morning.
He rolled out of bed. Brushed his teeth. Changed into a button-up and a tie, and slacks he wouldn’t hate throughout the course of the day.
He made his coffee like he did every day: he stuck his thermos under the machine, waited with a slice of toast until the coffee maker stopped pouring, and capped it in one smooth motion that shook its contents until everything was relatively mixed inside. No sweetners. No sugar. No milk.
Great. Ed went to grab his keys…
…His keys weren’t on the hook.
He blinked, hand frozen in its attempt so reach what wasn’t there. His. Where were his keys? He’d had them yesterday.
…He was pretty sure he’d had them yesterday. Hadn’t he gone to see Lizzy and the new baby? His sister had been so excited to show Charlotte off to her new uncle. Ed had been excited to go.
…Whatever. Amity Park was relatively walkable; as long as he dashed, he could get there in time.
So, off he jogged, into the hot, early morning, sweating and puffing as he went.
*
Ed made to the school entrance just as the bell rang for first period. He sighed, struggling for air—but at least he’d be able to swap in for Mrs. Keppler’s math course this morning. Man, he felt as if he’d run every class at this point. They might as well make him the—
Something invisible SLAMMED into his face.
His nose crunched. Ed swore in every classic title he knew, stumbling back and grabbing at his nose—ugh, and his fingers were coming away wet. He had to go see the nurse, or, more likely, the hospital. He was later than ever, but he’d have to—
He tried for the door again. Again, something stopped him.
…Ed frowned. He rapped against the invisible boundary with his knuckles. It was probably ghosts, again, but this was unusually…static. Benign?
“Ed, good heavens! What happened to your face?”
Ed turned around, nose slowly beginning to swell up in his hands as Ms. Cathleen Rylant stalked up the walkway to the school. “G’Morning,” he grunted, unable to summon the capacity for proper pronunciation. “I…seem to be blocked from getting into the building.”
Cathleen frowned. Her shoulder bag was pulled higher onto her thin, elderly shoulder: a nervous gesture. “I’m sorry to hear that, Ed! Is there anything…”
“Do you mind testing it for me?” Ed tried, carefully cupping the blood he could feel from dripping down onto his dress shirt. “If it affects you, or is unique to me…”
There were a few ghosts that targeted individuals. Ed had some surety that the genie ghost had gotten him to ‘call out from school’ today—there was a text today, and he would not put it past
“Got it,” the elderly science teacher offered sweetly. Cathleen was a gift, truly. “Was it…?”
Ed smacked a hand against the barrier. There was no visible sign of it—no distortion, no ripple, no change in color.
“Got it.” Cathleen—and her much more fragile bones—carefully put a hand out, expecting to be able to put her weight on it.
She just barely caught her balance before falling onto the concrete step. Ed reached out a hand to help her, and, of course, ended up with bruised fingers for the trouble. He swore.
“Huh,” she said. “…Well, I’m late for first period anyway; want me to tell Yuuko what’s holding you up?”
Ed sighed. He reminded himself that informing their principal would be best, considering the circumstances… “Yes, please. Thank you, Cathleen.”
“No problem, Ed.”
And Edward Lancer sat on the front step of the school, back leaned against nothing, and waited to see what could be done for him.
He took his hand away from his nose to reach for his coffee.
…His blood wasn’t red.
Ed’s blood went cold.
Wait. Why had—
—Screeching tires, metal SLAMMED into its final place, snapping, cracking, the lights cutting out, a choked last breath—
…Ed’d had his car yesterday. Why didn’t he have it this morning?
“I’m imagining things,” Ed muttered to himself. He wiped the green blood onto the back of his clean plants and resolved to wait for Principal Ishiyama.
*
Mr. Lancer was still outside the school by the time lunch rolled around.
“So he’s just…hanging out?” Sam asked around a mouthful of vegan-and-cruelty-free sushi, staring from their place under the tree at their teacher and his crowd of educational professionals.
Danny shrugged. He swallowed a bite of ham-and-baloney. “Looks like,” he observed. They watched as Mr. Lancer proved, again, that no matter how hard his middle-age-professional bulk heaved and pushed, there was no getting past the entryway into the school.
“…Huh.” Sam took a second bite. Across the yard, Mr. Lancer slipped on the invisible barrier, and everyone got closer to help pick him off the ground. “Any idea why this is happening?”
Danny put his sandwich down. He didn’t say anything.
Sam turned to look at him. “Danny?”
“…I saw an accident on the way home with Dad last night,” Danny offered quietly. He picked a little speck of nothing off of his sandwich. “The two cars were bent in half at the bottom of the ravine. There were rescue trucks and police all over the other side of the highway; cars were backed up for like four exits behind it. One of the cars looked like Mr. Lancer’s gray crapbox, but it’s not like I could get a good look…”
Sam went quiet. Danny stayed quiet.
They watched as Mr. Lancer explained, again, for the nineteenth time, that he couldn’t get into the school, and didn’t know why.
“…Oh,” said Sam. She set her chopsticks down.
“Mmhmm.” Danny swallowed. “Uh…looks like Mom’s updates on the ghost shields are working, though.”
“No kidding,” Sam echoed absently.
Eventually, lunch was over. When they went back inside, half-eaten lunches packed back up to take home for later, the distant figure of Mr. Lancer was still outside the school door, hoping to be let back in.

9 Fandom Peeps to Get to Know Better
tagged my @defeateddetectives ^_^ thank you <33
3 ships you like: hmm see which three should I pick here... let's say komahina (danganronpa. yes), bruabba (jjba p5) and just to spice things up, momoko and ichi from maiko-san chi no makanai (really lovely food centric manga about two girls who move to kyoto to become maiko but one of them ends up becoming the cook at the maiko house instead. sometimes frustrates me because of how strong the gay "undertones" are and then the author seems to insist on pursuing a het love triangle/probably het end game with a dude who has a comparatively shallow relationship with his love interest. anyway ever since the flashback chapters came out ive been shipping the house mother and sumire's geiko onee-san because if there's one throughline in my top ships, it's older side characters with some kind of tragic/emotionally fraught relationship LOL.) propaganda:
Tumblr media
"Yuuko never let anyone in her room before she became a trainee. [...] For her to be swapping beds with others is... no, it's just Azusa."
Tumblr media
(They have each other's apartment keys. She comes over and sleeps in her room. Halfsies!!!)
Tumblr media
(This is basically a marriage proposal to me)
first ship ever: ...I think it was karkat/terezi from homestuck. This is kind of funny but before I really got into fandom or when I was just beginning, my approach to text was basically reading it with the most surface level/likely reading. I literally didn't understand why people would ship characters who I "knew" would never get together in canon. I didn't see the point in it LOL to me shipping was like horse racing or something, you ship the characters who are the most likely to end up together. This is also very funny in retrospect considering what happened with that particular ship but I had long moved on from it by the time davekat was canonized so I was happy.
last song you heard: either burning desire by lana del rey (blaming mirai for this) or alan stivell's ian morrisson reel
favourite childhood book: i don't think i had or have a favorite one ummm I was really into the secret series by pseudonymous bosch when i was a kid
currently reading: hmm i'm keeping up with maiko-san and ekuoto (make the exorcist fall in love. it's neat i recommend it though i'm not a big fan of the art style), and I was reading the oofuri manga which i should get back to but currently my attention is being taken up by natsuyuu lol. as for non-manga though the last thing I read before natsuyuu was Devil Venerable Also Wants To Know which is SO GOOD and i had more art ideas in mind for it which i want to get back to at some point...
currently watching: I don't watch a whole lot of stuff. I'm keeping up with the dunmeshi anime but tbh i really don't like the coloring for it. the art is okay but ryoko kui's art is kind of unmatched. it's just nice to have something to watch with my friend every week. also i've been doing a natsuyuu anime rewatch in anticipation of s7 with a friend whose never seen it before
currently consuming: nothing but i just had some crazy noodles. leftover curry in a pan + frozen corn + instant noodles = yummy
currently craving: nothing because i am now full :D
ill tag @ponimado @tattoosingarishhues @beguinemystic @dysaniium @moritzallein @somapodra @garbageg0blin @chuck-charles @joelletwo as always this is just if you wanna!

Today's translation #6
Yuri!!! on stage pamphlet.
Short comments from Mitsuro Kubo about all characters who appear in the event's story:
(A short one for today but quite interesting...)
Part 6.
Nishigori Takeshi
Nishigori was created because I wanted to introduce a point of view of somebody who has gave up on skating. He is also a childhood friend of Yuuri and somebody, who has been watching him from a very close distance - so he's a character with a quite complex setting. He is the only married man [in the show] so I wanted him to be masculine and not somebody who fret over things a lot. I also was thinking that the reason why Yuuri didn't want to go back to his home town for such a very long time, is because of Nishigori and Yuuko. When it comes to Nishigori and Yuuko's relationship, I think Yuuko is the one who started it. She didn't confess her feelings directly but I think it was probably very clear that she likes Nishigori. Because men from Kyushu don't go after a girl who they know they don't have a chance with. They never try to reach a "flower that grows high on a mountain top [an idiom representing a unattainable goal] (laugh).
<Notes: If you compare this comment with the comment about Yuuri (Translation #1) and Victor (Translation #2), it's quite interesting! Yuuri is also a man from Kyushu, but he totally went for the highest growing flower of them all, didn't he! Well, deep inside he prolly knew that he can do it ;))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))>

Hi friend💜 I would love to hear something happy today, do you have any favourite ships or cute fic ideas you want to ramble about right now?💜💜
Love you tons
Aw, thanks friend! Thanks for the ask! I love your questions and I'm going to answer both parts. Please note I will have massive spoilers for everything. This is also long, so it's under a cut.
Let's start with my favourite ships!
Favourite ships
I have many ships but I want to talk about some I haven't talked about lots.
Fai/Kurogane (Tsubasa)
Where do I even begin with this ship? From moment one these two were set up as character foils. Fai's design is light, airy, and full of whites and blues. He's tall, lean, and built like a dancer. He smiles a lot, is friendly, and enjoys light teasing. There is an elegance to him, almost as if he's a breeze personified and equally as difficult to catch.
Kurogane's design is heavier, grounded, and full of blacks and reds. He's muscular, built, and moves like a lion: graceful but full of power and strength. He scowls, comes off as prickly, and hates teasing. He's the quiet but brutal strength of a hunter taking down its prey.
This is where CLAMP could have stopped, really. This is a clear blue/red ship. But they didn't. Instead they went the extra steps to completely and utterly separate Fai and Kurogane's ideals, morals, philosophies, and perspectives on life. And see, that's what utterly rips my soul apart regarding these two as a ship: they both complete and utterly destroy one another.
I will never, ever forget the moment when Yuuko reveals the cost of Kurogane's wish to save Fai. The dead, cold look Fai gives Kurogane before showing the reader, for the first time, the hollowness of his smile. Then, the line, "Good morning, Kurogane" absolutely destroys me. With a single line of dialogue, CLAMP showed how their relationship will never be the same again. Their dynamic haunts me even years after finishing reading the series.
Tohru/Kyo (Fruits Basket)
First, Fruits Basket is my favourite shoujo series of all time. If I was asked, I'd go on a full rant about the entire series.
Anyways, Tohru/Kyo is a ship I love with all my heart and soul because of one core message it presents: No one can entirely fix you, some of the work has to be your own. Both Tohru and Kyo come with so much baggage they're practically a cargo ship before the series even starts. Yet, through the series neither Tohru and Kyo entirely "fix" one another. They support, listen, and care for one another, but there is never the message "I will fix you" presented. Both Tohru and Kyo have issues they need to work out on their own and problems they both ignored until they couldn't any longer.
And none of the solutions were presented as "I need the other to save me". Rather, the solutions are "You helped me find the courage to face this problem and while I am scared, I will do it. After, I know you will be there to continue supporting me".
This is why they are such a great ship and why this series is one of my favourites.
Haruka/Michiru AKA Sailor Uranus/Sailor Neptune (Sailor Moon)
There are a lot of reasons why I like this ship. To start, even as a child I -knew- something was up and they were NOT cousins. Next, they're a power couple. That episode in the original anime where they go to that "couple's" competition and effortlessly win? They're not just in love, they're basically soulmates.
However, I think I'll sum up why this is one of my favourite ships with one line "Oh, it seems you misunderstood... a world without Haruka isn't worth saving".
Look, this was the 90s. "Good" and "Bad" characters were usually pretty straightforward. This line here though? That's one of the most morally ambiguous lines from a character that's supposed to be "good" in any series I've watched. Neptune (Michiru) would rather watch the world burn than to lose Haruka (Uranus). That's Homura's "I'm going to make the world burn and people die just so I can have Madoka with me" Devil mode that didn't come out until 2011. Sailor Moon threw this absolute BANGER of a line in (I believe) season 5 which aired in 1996.
Cute Fic Ideas
I don't have too many "cute" ideas, but here are a few:
-I want to write a Twisted Wonderland fic where the staff of NRC dote on Yuu.
-Maybe a very soft Yuu/Everyone fic? Not too sure since I don't want to write a heavy "shipping" fic with Yuu.
-An actual good timeline Shouichi fic. I know, it's shocking. I want to write another Outsider POV fic or a very confused Shouichi being dragged clothing shopping by Kikyo.
-There is some sort of follow up to my Kitsune!Komaeda marries ordinary Hajime fic that I should probably write. Maybe touching on Munakata's offer of immortality. Really, this entire series is one you think I'm done and then I surprise everyone.
And uh... that's it. Sorry, I can't think of more, though there probably are more. I have ideas but they don't fit the "cute" category... (and one of those is a Shouichi fic. I'm sorry...)

Takari Week 2022 - Day 6: Shopping Date
Days: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Title: Baby Bottles, Pacifiers and Everything in Between Characters: Takeru Takaishi, Hikari Yagami, Patamon, Tailmon, Taichi Yagami, Yamato Ishida, Sora Takenouchi, Yuuko Yagami, Susumu Yagami and Natsuko Takaishi. Summary: Hikari and Takeru go buy things for their unborn baby for the first time and reveal they're expecting to their families. Note: For Takari week, I decided to do something different. All stories will be told in first person, from both Takeru and Hikari's POVs in the same story. It will be separated to make it easier, though. The cool wind breeze messed my hair as I leaned against the balcony, but I didn't mind at all. Grateful was all that I was feeling at that moment. I had my own apartment, the most amazing wife ever and a great job. I would say my life was perfect, but I'd be lying. It would be in a few months, though. "There you are." Hikari's voice echoed around me and I couldn't help but smile at the sound of it as I lowered my head a little. Then I turned around and found her standing by the door that separates our living room from our balcony. "What are you doing here?" "I was waiting for you, actually." I approached her and kissed her in the cheek, while resting my hand on her belly. "Well, I'm ready to go now." "Great." I reached for her hand and then we walked out of our apartment, with Patamon in his usual spot over my head and Tailmon right beside Hikari.
Hikari and I have been married for about two years now. We were engaged for only one year, since we didn't want to spend a long time like that. After the wedding ceremony, she decided she would grow her hair and it was already a little below her shoulders. I think she looks stunning, though I love her short hair too. She said it was the beginning of a new phase of her life and I couldn't agree more with her.
About two months ago, she told me she had something to say to me. Looking back now, I find it hard to believe she managed to stay so serious at that moment, especially because it was a moment of happiness. At first, I was alarmed because that was a side of Hikari that hardly ever comes to the surface, but then she gave me the brightest smile and I knew it was just a façade. She sat down beside me on the bed and handed me a pregnancy test. Our initial reaction was to be shocked and a little nervous and worried. Not because we didn't want to have children at some point, but it wasn't something that we were planning to so soon. But the happiness and excitement quickly replaced it and we assured each other we could do it together. And here we are now. "You seem quiet today." Her voice brought me back from my trance. "Are you sure everything is fine?" "Yes, I'm sure." I reassured her with a grin. "I was just thinking about the day you told me you were pregnant." "Oh." She looked down to her stomach, which was starting to show. "I felt so many things that day. Now I just feel… whole, complete. I don't know if it makes sense or if you feel the same, but…" "I do." I interrupted her, still smiling. "It makes total sense to me." "I'm sure you two will be great parents." Patamon spoke above me and I looked up at him. "I hope so." Hikari's tone was a little worried, so I squeezed her hand a little, in a comforting way. "I know it's scary because we don't know how to take care of a child, but we can do this." "You know what?" She smiled at me. "You're right. We will learn how to be parents together. I wouldn't want to go through this with anyone else." "Me either." I put my arm around her shoulders as we walked out of the elevator.

sing with me a song of birthrights and love (yoi bb 5/5)
There is a murmuring as they cleaned after their performance two months later. Yuuri looked away from Yuuko who’d come to say hi with Takeshi and the triplets to the thinning crowd behind them. A few people had slowed to a stop. Others stared as they walked out. All focus seemed to be on a boy shorter than he was with blonde hair and piercing green eyes that seemed directed on him . Yuuri felt his heart stutter painfully at the way it seemed so familiar. This was the boy he’d seen sometimes in his dreams. He was sure of it. And for the first time since waking up in the rain, he knew they’d met before. They’d met the night he fell.
“That’s Kouki,” Yuuko whispered, awe in her voice. He turned to her in confusion. That was the name Minako had called Kou’s kirin, wasn’t it?
“The kirin?” Yuuri asked, just to be sure.
Yuuko looked at him and nodded almost violently. Then her eyes were drawn back to Kouki. The boy walked toward them with a purpose. He seemed angry for some reason. It terrified Yuuri to the core. But he stepped forward nonetheless. “Kouki?”
That had Kouki stop dead in his tracks, surprised. “You know my name?” He seemed unsure about his own question. It felt weird to Yuuri to hear him that way.
“Yeah,” Yuuri said. “A friend told me it. What are you doing here?”
“What am I doing here?” Kouki seemed incredibly angry now and Yuuri flinched. From the corner of his eye he saw the other troupe members send him a concerned look. He raised his hand to tell them he was okay. Viktor still walked over to stand next to him, which Yuuri appreciated. It helped him stand a little taller in the face of Kouki’s wrath. “What are you doing here, idiot? I’ve been looking everywhere to find you again only to find you within Kou’s borders performing !”
Yuuri frowned. “Because it’s where I belong.” Kouki scoffed but he refused to back down here. He was right . Though Kouki’s presence here in front of him and the feeling he’d seen him before told him he’d have to leave to wherever Kouki took him, he was right . The trees had led him to this group for a reason. Eventually, he stayed because it was where he wanted to be. In a world he didn’t remember, he found his place. He reached for Viktor’s hand and squeezed it. Viktor squeezed back. Narrowed green eyes followed the motions. “It is ,” he said firmly. “These people are my family. I love them.” Georgi let out a coo that had Minako rolling her eyes and Yuuri smiled.
“And you would do anything for this family?” Kouki asked.
“I would,” Yuuri said without hesitation.
“Fight youma for them? Die for them?” Kouki asked.
“I would,” Yuuri said. He almost had, once. With nothing but the certainty that he would die.
“And the rest of the people? The kingdom? You would care for this land, even in the muck and in the lowest positions?” Kouki asked.
Yuuri didn’t answer right away. This question felt bigger, and though Yuuri felt he knew in his heart what the answer would be, he wanted to think about it. He thought about what Minako had once told him about the heavens’ chosen ruler. About the trees’ tests. About the Nishigori family and the other people he had met. “I would,” Yuuri said and knew it was true. “I’ll do my best with the people beside me, if they’ll help me.”
“Of course, Yuuri,” Viktor said. Yuuri looked away from Kouki to smile at him. When he looked back, he straightened and met Kouki’s eyes.
“I’ll do my best at whatever you need me to,” Yuuri said. “Even if it means doing the dirtiest jobs or fighting. If it’ll help- If it’ll help the kingdom and the people, I’m willing to do it.”
Kouki tilted his head at that. Then he nodded to himself, a decision made. He bowed before Yuuri and Yuuri felt certain he could hear rain pounded against a metal roof despite the lack of rain and metal. “I swear never to desert my post before your throne. I promise to serve you and help you serve. I pledge my loyalty to you as long as you reign.”
There was silence in Yuuri’s ears. Like all the air had been ripped from the room. The first words were an echo of a memory that felt like a lifetime ago- but while then they’d been harsh and impatient, they sounded respectful now. Maybe Kouki had only then agreed with this decision. And if Kouki agreed, Yuuri tipped his head toward Kouki and this time responded without prompt. “I accept.”

"I love you... Oh, dammit, don't look at me... I'm all red..." Obviously Kuro heehee
This prompt was sent to me so long ago I don't even remember when but... Happy valentine's day!
Fai had never had a valentine before. He got asked every year when he was a student by at least seven people. It rose to ten when he was in university. The number went down since he became a teacher, though there was usually one or two hopefuls. He always turned the requests down, though. After all, it wasn't as though any sort of meaningful relationship would come just because someone thought he was handsome and gave him some chocolates.
So, when he walked into his classroom on Valentine's Day and found a box of chocolates and a bouquet of roses waiting on his desk, he was thoroughly confused. He wasn't even sure who had access to his room so early in the morning. He looked around as he approached his desk as if the culprit would jump out from their hiding place, but the room was empty.
Fai dropped his bag on the floor and plucked the card from the bouquet. He tried to think of who could have sent it—maybe the barista that always gave him free whipped cream?—as he unfolded the card and read the short and simple message.
Happy Valentine's Day.
-Kurogane
Fai read it three times. Then four. Again and again and again yet the words did not compute. He looked at the expensive gourmet chocolates and the extravagant bouquet of red roses and then back at the name on the card.
"K-K-Kuro...? Kurogane? Kuro-sama?!" He stammered to himself. He smiled, skeptical, and laughed nervously. "N-No way, this must be some kind of prank! Kuro-sama would never! Kuro-sama hates stuff like this! He absolutely, totally, definitely did not send this!"
He fell into his chair, suddenly dizzy, and found himself wondering... but what if he did?
In all honesty, it would be a dream come true. Fai had fallen hard for Kurogane the day they met back when Kurogane first began working as the P.E. teacher at Horitsuba. Back then, it had been a kind of childish infatuation; Kurogane was handsome and Fai was not one to ignore that kind of attractiveness. But over time, Fai was surprised to feel genuine feelings developing for the gym teacher. And then even more surprised when he realized that his feelings for Kurogane were the strongest he'd ever felt for someone.
Kurogane was gruff and abrasive and acted like everything in the world irritated him, but he was kind hearted deep down. He was soft and caring and always tried his best to help anyone that needed it. He had a good relationship with his parents and owned every piece of merchandise for his favorite manga series. He hated sweets but still tried the baked goods Fai would bring in just because he knew it would make Fai happy—or maybe it was because Fai wouldn't leave him alone until he did, but he stopped fighting it after a while. What was there not to love about him?
The only problem was that, for as kind as Kurogane was beneath his surface layers of annoyance and coldness, he didn't have the same sort of feelings for Fai. He never actually said that, but Fai could tell. They were friends, but Fai seemed to have the special talent of annoying Kurogane more than anyone else.
Fai sunk low in his chair, still staring at the note. He should probably just ask. But what if he did and Kurogane could tell he was hopeful, but Kurogane wasn't the one that gave it to him? How embarrassing and awkward would that be?
And, even worse... what if Kurogane really did give it to him? The thought sent blood rushing to his head.
A knock at his door made Fai jump up and scramble to hide the gifts. He got the bouquet under his desk but the chocolates were still out when the door opened and Yuuko walked in.
"Good morning," She said as she strolled over to his desk. She peered at the chocolates. "Not another student, I hope? Those talks about appropriate student-teacher relationships are so awkward for me, you know."
Fai smiled nervously and shook his head. "N-Not this time!"
Yuuko lifted her eyes to look at him properly. She regarded him, enacting her hidden gift of being able to make a person feel completely naked under her gaze, and lifted a brow. "You're blushing. Did this come from someone... special?"
"No!" Fai cried immediately. "I mean, yes! Or, maybe? But not—"
Yuuko laughed and waved her hand towards him. "Say no more. Hopefully you can figure that out before your head explodes."
Fai's face heated even more. "It's not that big of a deal..."
"Of course," Yuuko nodded, smirking knowingly. "Anyway, I just came to remind you that there are treats in the teacher's lounge. I spend a lot of money every year and you're the only one that seems to truly appreciate it but you didn't come by this morning."
"I got... distracted," Fai told her, feigning a cheery demeanor. "I'll come by after lunch and enjoy all of the yummy treats Yuuko gets for me every year~"
Yuuko nodded and spun on her heel to leave the room. "Oh, and Fai?" She turned to look back at him. "Don't leave him waiting too long."
With a wink, she left the room.
Fai stared at the door. "...Huh?"
Fai taught with his blinds down the entire morning to avoid seeing Kurogane out on the field and only visited the lounge during his free period after lunch. He still needed to sort out his own thoughts before risking accidentally running into Kurogane, and he knew Kurogane's schedule as well as his own and so he knew that there was no way the gym teacher would be there during—
"Hey."
Fai stopped in the doorway, proven wrong. Kurogane was sitting at the table in the center of the room with a cup of steaming tea in front of him and a book on calisthenics in his hand. Kurogane quirked a brow in the silence that followed his greeting.
"H-Hi. Kuro-sama. Hi. You're here. Why are you here?" Fai asked stiffly as he awkwardly walked to the cabinets on the side of the room where boxes of pastries and chocolates sat on the counter, making sure to keep as far from the table and Kurogane as possible.
"Schedule got switched around for some special presentation in one of the history classes," Kurogane told him, his eyes returning to his book.
"Oh." Fai picked up a chocolate cupcake, decorated with pink frosting, his back to Kurogane. He should say something, he told himself. He should ask Kurogane about the gifts or thank him for them or... or...?
Fai heard Kurogane shift in his chair. He turned and met warm eyes, red like a fiery sunset, looking right at him.
"Hey... you're—" Kurogane began, his voice uncharacteristically soft.
Fai's heart leapt to his throat and in turn, his body jumped into motion. Before he knew it, his legs were moving him to the door. He lifted the cupcake and forced the biggest smile he could. "This is all I came here for lots of paper to grade you know haha okay well anyway bye bye Kuro-sama!"
And then he ran out of the room like he was being chased.
Fai returned to his room and locked the door behind him. He sighed, dragging his feet to his desk and plopping himself down into his chair. He was such a coward. If Kurogane did really send the gifts, he probably didn't want Fai to be his valentine anymore after whatever that was.
Fai pushed his chair back a bit to look at the flowers still hidden under his desk. "Oh, Kuro-sama..." He murmured to them. He had always considered himself to be quite confident; he'd gotten many confessions and always handled himself with grace. He wasn't the kind of person to get flustered or embarrassed by a show of affection, even from people he'd had feelings for.
And yet there he was, a full grown man acting like a teenager all because the boy he had a crush on gave him a bit of attention. He covered his hot face with his hands and sighed deeply. He was way too far gone to deal with this today.
But he had no choice. He had to get through the rest of classes like nothing was wrong. He had to put on the brightest smile and the cheeriest voice for his students and help them as they mixed chemicals and prevent any accidental explosions. He was usually pretty good at faking it while teaching in even his worst moods, so he managed to get by. Once the last bell rang though, his nervousness came back.
This was it. His last chance. If he just went home without saying anything, that would send a pretty bad message to Kurogane. But he still felt way too anxious to ask about it himself.
Okay, he decided as he knelt down and picked the roses up to place back on his desk. He'd wait for a bit to see if Kurogane reached out. It was definitely a bit of a childish choice, and he was sure Yuui would make fun of him for it when he found out, but hey. Fai's immaturity was one of Kurogane's favorite things to yell about.
Fai rested his cheek in one hand and with the other, he gently touched the flower petals. They were soft to the touch and vibrant red. So much like Kurogane's eyes, Fai thought with a smile.
"Oh, good."
Fai almost crushed a flower in his hand in his surprise. He lifted his head and there was Kurogane, standing in his doorway. He wore a black coat over his typical sweatsuit and a red scarf around his neck. Fai couldn't help but wonder if he chose the red scarf for Valentine's Day and also couldn't help but notice how cute Kurogane looked wearing it.
Once Fai noticed him, he walked deeper into the room. "I was worried you didn't get them," Kurogane said, nodding to the flowers. "I had to ask the witch the unlock your door for the delivery guy. Knowing her, I figured she forgot."
Fai blinked his wide eyes and looked at the flowers. "Then... they're really from you?"
"Obviously," Kurogane said, leaning against the desk and crossing his arms over his chest. "I signed it with my name, didn't I? Who else would it be."
Fai had a hard time meeting Kurogane's eyes. "I thought that maybe it was a prank. I mean... Kuro-sama isn't exactly the type of person to like Valentine's Day."
"Yeah, but you like it," Kurogane said, simple and sure.
Fai swallowed, chest tight and stomach full of butterflies, and tentatively lifted his eyes. "Then... you gave it to me because...?"
"Because I... I mean—you are—I'm—" It was Kurogane's turn to get flustered and stutter his way through an explanation. His eyes darted to the floor and under the florescent classroom lights, Fai saw dusty pink spread across high cheekbones.
That helped ease his racing heart. Pushing himself up from his chair and closing the distance between them, Fai tilted his head. "Kuro-sama?" He asked quietly, getting rose-red eyes to look back at him. "Was there maybe... something you were trying to say with these gifts?"
"I..." Kurogane looked into Fai's eyes, almost looking a bit lost in them unless Fai was so lightheaded he was imagining things. Kurogane's eyes darted away again. The pink on his cheeks darkened to a full blush. "Yeah. I. I. Love you. Ah, damn it. I'm all red, don't look at me."
Kurogane took a step back and covered his face with his hand and immediately, Fai thought that he looked like a nervous schoolboy facing his crush; turned out, they both had that problem. Fai felt light as air suddenly, like he could float away and live in the clouds. Reaching out, he took Kurogane's hand and pulled it away so that he could see Kurogane properly.
Kurogane looked back at him and his lips pulled up in a soft smile, one that showed relief and so much love. "What's that grin for, idiot?"
Oh, so that's why Fai's cheeks hurt. He didn't even realize that he was smiling until then, but his grin only grew and he grabbed Kurogane's scarf to pull him close. Kurogane followed along, dipping his head to meet Fai for a kiss. Fai regretted ever feeling nervous and delaying this moment for as long as he did.
"For the record," Fai said as they pulled apart. "You look very cute when you're red."
"Shut it, you moron," Kurogane said with absolutely no bite in his tone.
"Make me," Fai retorted.
So Kurogane did with another kiss.

“What’s the weakest chess piece?”
The words danced through Yuuko’s mind, a silent companion in the moonlight.
“Why do you ask?”
“I was just wondering what you think the weakest chess piece is?”
Even now Yuuko could picture his smile, so vividly that it seemed like, if she closed her eyes, she might imagine that he was right in front of her and that she had merely blinked. The curve of his jaw, mischievous and playful, so different from the kind serenity he often showed others. A hint of the man within the image of sage sorcerer.
“Well, normally I would say it was the pawn, but then you wouldn’t be asking me that question would you?”
“Well, if that’s what you believe I wouldn’t fault you.”
“However…”
“However a skilled chess player could take down a king with merely pawns if he wished to.”
“Ah yes, and which skilled chess player might that be? Should I assume they’re one of your illustrious descendants?”
Clow’s laugh echoed through the night. He had lifted the glass of sake Yuuko had given to him as a gift to his lips. They were very familiar to Yuuko, indeed, it seemed sometimes that she had learned them as well as she had learned her craft. Yet they still hid their secrets, just as she hid her own. Yuuko didn’t believe in letting her lover knowing her soul, just as Clow enjoyed the mists he had cloaked himself in. Sometimes Yuuko wondered who knew more about the other. If she had to guess it was her. Clow longed for intimacy sometimes, an intimacy that touched the inner walls of the heart. Then again, she did too.
“It was only a hypothetical. An inquiry of the mind.”
“Well then, will you tell me what your inquiry found?” From the twinkle in his eye she already knew his answer.
“Wouldn’t you rather discover the answer on your own?”
It was a pity that Clow was dead by the time she had found out, a pity that she was too, for all intents and purposes. A pity she could not answer his silly little quandary.
The moon shown clear and true in the sky. Tomorrow it would be full. Tomorrow she would send Watanuki out with a gift for an old friend. She would once again be alone to view the full moon by herself. It was better that way.
“What is the weakest chess piece?” She murmured to herself. “You old bastard, you knew this would happen, wouldn’t you?” A pained smile crossed her lips, one she made no effort to hide in the solitary darkness.
“What is the chess piece that must sit and watch as the game unfolds, sit in agony as pawns fall to the machinations of others, as rooks and knights and queens are traded away? As the king comes crashing down? Who can only hope they move correctly, that their struggle is not in vain?”
Yuuko let her gaze float down to the sake in her hand. It really was very good. That it was not as good as it once had been was not its fault.
“Comparing me to the chess player is in very poor taste you know.” She scolded the sake. “For not even I have the control of one sitting on the board.”
Somewhere in another world a play had been made. Yuuko could only hope that hers was not a weak one.

Alternate Endings (Pt. 2)
Title: Alternate Endings (Pt. 2)
Genre: more angst, possibly more than the last part. this is your warning.
Pairing: Victor Nikiforov x GN!Reader
Notes: This is a part 2 to the previous part, and I still used the angst prompt list from the aforementioned previous parts to form this piece.
With that said, I think that this will be the only part following the first unless I can find some way to continue the storyline. I intend to keep the ending somewhat depressing and sad, so I guess proceed with caution due to such.
If you want something similar to this for any other character, please let me know, though! I may also mention that this went from a drabble, to a scenario, and now borders on an imagine - I can’t help that I got caught up!
Part 1
Below the cut!
Tumblr media
You practically fell off the face of the Earth as soon as you left.
Harboring all of the money you saved and deciding upon negotiations to make with your employer, you left Russia. You left Japan. You just...left.
Travelling became a huge part of your life afterwards, and though many people had tried to regain contact with you, you ignored most of them - save for a few. Only Yuri Plisetsky and Yuuko Nishigori were available to your whims, but they were still advised to stay as quiet as possible regarding your whereabouts.
You changed your whole appearance, changed your mindset, and even changed something as generally miniscule as your wardrobe. Still, as much as you did change and throw away, you couldn’t rid yourself of the many frivolous gifts that Victor had given you over the years.
Some things you just can’t give up, but you knew that it would be fine. At the very least, you had something that would never let you forget about him.
Victor, on the other hand, fell off the deep end.
He had come across the note you’d slipped under his hotel room door and for the first time in a long time, he cried. A true mess was what Yuuri had come across, and as many times that he was able to help him through unconventional methods, this was nearly impossible.
Victor didn’t leave Japan, but he did become so reclusive that even Yakov was extremely worried upon finding out about the occurrence from an offhand comment that Yurio made when talking to Yuuko over the phone before practice.
Everyone around him saw the typically extravagant man become so dulled by misery that it became painful to watch.
He didn’t even know where to start since he’d already tried to find you - looking everywhere that he knew you loved, everywhere that he knew you were often obligated to be at - but had failed to do so.
It wasn’t until, when Yurio was free, that he overheard him and Yuuko talking at the front desk of the rink as Yuuri was warming up and he was getting his skates on.
“Yeah, they’re in America right now. They just got a raise, actually - they were even thinking of dropping in when they get enough saved up,” Yuuko recollected, excitement dripping from her tone.
“Well, they’d have to come by when Victor isn’t here. That would also mean that I’d be gone, but at least you could update me,” Yurio responded. He seemed more nonchalant about the whole thing, but Victor became hysterical.
Granted, he did suppress what he could to eavesdrop further.
“Of course! I am still a little worried about them, though - you remember how Victor had gone crazy trying to find them?” Yurio grunted in response. “Well, what if he decides to do something impulsive again and leave mid-competition?”
The light-blonde teenager in front of Yuuko flinched at the thought. “That’s a good point...but we’ll never know unless it happens when it does.”
A solemn chill fell upon the two, but the conversation split onto Yurio’s next routine and Victor left it to them. He stared wide-eyed, in pure disbelief, at the wall of lockers in front of him.
“So they’re...(Y/n)’s in America....”
Ideas began to run through his head as the room became eerily quiet. Even Yuuri, who was sat in the corner and preferred a calm and quiet atmosphere, was perturbed by the sudden shift.
“I know what I’ll do! Yuuri, skate if you want - I’m going to be out for a while,” Victor announced, generally resembling the flamboyant figure skating icon that everyone knew.
He took his skates off and capped the blades, putting them into his bag and reaching for his cell phone and scrolling through listings. Katsuki was left dumbstruck, but he went on about what he was doing and decided to run through his routine a few times.
Yurio had left by this point, and Yuuko was too far in the back to catch the tall man’s outburst.
It wasn’t until the next day that he was extremely prepared and anyone who understood his issue was suspicious. Victor had hunted for every listing to America from Japan, and memorized the closest ones. Yuuko was the one person who was going to be there that he had to ask.
“Yuuko, I must ask you something! Would you mind?” was Victor’s burning introduction, shocking the normally upbeat mother. She was a little taken aback at the bold attention grabber.
“Mmm, yeah?” She tried to be as ‘typical’ as possible, considering that her suspicions were up now. She knew what was going on, she knew what Victor was burning for.
“You said that you’ve been in contact with (Y/n), yes?”
Yuuko deadpanned, eyes blank and dropping the facade that she was going to attempt to maintain. “I knew it. Listen, I know that you’ve been troubled since they left, and that they have been as well, but please - give them some more time.”
Victor visibly deflated. He didn’t think it would work, really, but it was worth a shot. Maybe, just maybe, though.... “How about a hint? Is it hot? Cold? What is a landmark?”
“No, Victor. Sorry.”
And he was back to his dejected being by the next hour.
Victor was willing to annoy both her and Yurio, but gave up once they stood their ground with firm hold. “No. (Y/n) is fine, and they will come when they want.” It was always the answer, no matter who he asked.
Daily, Yuuri would keep him company and skate to the best of his ability. It seemed to quench his troubles just a little bit before the up and coming competition season.
Eventually, the Grand Prix rolled around again. Yurio was competing, as well as Yuuri, and Victor was there to maintain support for his ever-promising prodigy.
Amongst the drama that had ensued, the two of them decided to take a break romantically and focus on the practice rather than devote too much issue to their worryingly stagnant relationship.
It wasn’t until Yurio had pulled Yuuri aside when Victor was getting changed that he was let in on soem information that, had Victor heard, would send him into a frenzy.
“(Y/n) wanted to me wish you good luck and let you know that they are here to watch. If you wanna talk, they’ll be waiting in the lobby.”
Yuuri almost faltered and told Victor, but decided against it. Your wishes were still high up, even if you two weren’t amazingly close.
Sadly, Victor was still shaken and hurried. It was a large competition, and as much as he wanted to focus on the task at hand, you never left his mind.
Over the year that you had fallen out of reach, he began to realize where he screwed up. Maybe he did like you at one time, but he let his own fears get the best of him and he fell to putting more of an interest to Yuuri.
He truly loves Yuuri, but he truly loved you (romantically) at one point, and you slipped from his reach before he could manage to comprehend anything.
So, upon making eye contact with a familiar pair of (e/c) eyes and an eerie copy of a blazer that he had given you as a birthday gift years ago, he was left idle.
“(Y/n)?”
You sucked in a breath and shrugged, sighing afterwards and shaking your head. “Yep, it’s me. Hello, again, Victor.”
Tears flooded his eyes as he ran to you, arms open and tight as his hug enveloped your frame. You didn’t reciprocate, not immediately at least. With obvious hesitance, you returned the hug, but pushed him away only a couple seconds later.
“You’ve got a skater to support. We can talk later, okay?”
“But, you’ve come back and-”
“Victor. Go support Yuuri.”
He bit his lip, but nodded nonetheless and embarked to the rink.
After the free skate, the next day’s events were prepared and everyone was sent out for the day. Yurio had caught up with you before heading to his hotel room, and Yuuri had popped in before he changed out of his costume, but Victor was most eager to meet you.
Upon seeing each other, yet again, in the lobby, the two of you parted ways but decided to meet at a restaurant in town. Yuuri would be dining with Phichit and some other competitors, and Yurio was with Otabek going sightseeing, so this was a prime opportunity.
Silence loomed over the two of you, slow walking and sounds of nature overwhelming your senses.
“So, you’re probably curious as to where I’ve been,” you began, breaking the tension as calmly as possible. You could have sworn that your heart was going to burst out of your chest if you let the quiet settle any longer.
“Yes, (Y/n). I really have been.” Victor, for once in the time that you have known him, was quiet. He was never really afraid to speak to you about anything, but the way he was acting now let some of the more obvious pain show.
“I’ve also been extremely worried. I never realized that you felt like that.”
You stopped upon the sentence, eyeing a nearby bench. Victor followed suit and looked down at you, eye contact being maintained. His gorgeous blue eyes were glassy and he appeared on the verge of tears.
“(Y/n), darling, I never realized how much you actually meant to me. I was stupid. I- I really, truly did love you. I always thought that you were too good for me, though, so I tried to make the ideas disappear. It worked, but only for a while. I love you, (Y/n). Honestly, I really do, and...
“I don’t know how much longer I can endure this.”
Your brows furrowed at his proclamation. The thought had never really crossed your mind, but you had always been drawn to his personality and how driven he was. You knew that he would do this, though, as he could also be notably daft regarding certain things.
“Victor, I-.... Listen, I loved you at one point, but you found Yuuri. You found your match. You made your decision. Out of respect for you and him, I left. But I also did it to respect myself.
“I know my habits. I know that I can fixate, so I needed to get out of your hair if I wanted to feel better. So I did. I’m engaged now, Victor, and the person that I met is amazing. I thought that could have been you. But it wasn’t, and I’m okay with that now.”
“You- you’re engaged?”
“Yes, yes I am. We haven’t planned our wedding date quite yet, but it is being discussed. The fact of the matter is simple: I knew what would happen if I were to stay, and as much as I love you, - platonically - staying here wouldn’t do me any good. Life comes, things change, and sometimes we just gotta give up.”
Silence fell on you two yet again, but it was interrupted by the slight sniffling coming from the tall Russian.
“Victor, I came back not because I wanted to fight for your affection, but because I’ve been worried about you. I just want you to know that...I still do care for you, and I have still supported you and Yuuri. But what you want, what I wanted...that’s not possible anymore.”
Pausing, you thought over your next words. Nothing was ever going to completely repair what was broken, but at the very least, you could try.
“How about this? Here’s my new number,” you handed him a small slip of paper with the nine digits printed on it in your handwriting. “Let’s start talking again, and you can meet my fiancee sometime. Sound good?”
His mood nearly took a 180, but his demeanor was still sullen and sad. A weak smile crossed his face, and he responded in kind, “Of course. How about we go back to the group and enjoy dinner, though? You’re here again, and it’s more than I could ask for - but we have a lot of catching up to do.”

Chapitre 205 - Divine Providence Broken
Splash Text: He knew the truth, that this peace would not last too long…
aka HIM.
MR PROBLEMS HIMSELF.
As usual he has more calm and grace than would be expected from someone who has caused so much trouble for literally every single living person - but of course he does, it’s Clow Reed.
But Clow Reed aside there are some incredibly fun visual choices all over this. Beneath his robes you can see the same kind of traditional clothing that Lava Lamp and his father wore, tying the bloodline together in a way you can actually see. He also has butterfly clasps holding the robe closed, which evoke Yuuko Ichihara but also a bit of Watanuki, who is just as much his descendant as Lava Lamp is (and there are two butterflies, which would match their duality).
Clow himself gazes peacefully out at scenery that we can’t see, but we CAN see the bare branches of a tree with three birds perched nearby. The birds could easily be argued to be a sign of anyone you really wanted it to be. Is it the remaining Tsubasa family - Fai, Kurogane, and Lava Lamp? Is Lava Lamp on a separate branch because he’s the only one of them who comes from a different timeline?
Is it maybe the three Syaorans, with Watanuki and Lava Lamp on one branch and our Clone Syaoran on another (or the other way around?)? Or is it the Sakuras, with the original ‘Sakura’ frozen in time on her own branch, while the other Sakura and her clone sit on the other?
Are the branches of the tree a sign of diverging paths in time? Of timelines cut off and restarted and choices leading into different directions? Is the number of birds a representation of that original timeline (ie, 1 bird) has now become a new timeline altogether, but resulted in more birds than there were originally due to the disturbance? Or is the fact that we see BOTH scenarios at the same time a sign that the broken universe can still be mended, and the three as a whole will grow again in the future? Or perhaps a sign of how Clamp's future vision worked, seeing multiple paths and timelines at once?
OR. Are they just pretty birds? The most deceptive option?!
Either way, we’ve had several other covers of the Tsubasa family standing in a dead-looking tree, and here we have Clow Reed calmly watching the same kind of tree - but from a distance.
Because he’s dead now. c:

LIFE GUARD AU LIFE GUARD AU LIFE GUARD AU LIFE GUARD AU LIFE GUA
okay so like
imagine
viktors been visiting this recreational centre for a long time - he likes being active, dabbles in a few sports and sometimes even works out there. but the main reason he goes is for swimming! he loves to swim, it calms him etc etc - and he goes so often that he basically knows each and every lifeguard and their mothers personally. his closest friend is also a life guard there! and you bet i'm talking about chris
anyway, one day he has to renew his membership to the centre, and he heads to the reception. instead of someone who actually works there, guess who he bumps into?
our beautiful katsudon yuuri katsuki.
yuuris wearing his glasses and a uniform that's definitely too big for him, looks cutesy and shy, definitely not the sporty type and viktor can't help but automatically assume that he probably works at reception.
so before yuuri can even get a word out, viktors pulling out papers, asking about renewing the membership and throwing in the occasional flirty comment here and there blah blah blah
yuuris just stunned because well he doesn't actually work at the reception, and can't help him? it's like his first day there, and he was just waiting for someone help him clock in,, also he's a little flustered becuase is this guy flirting with him???
and he tries to tell viktor he's not one of the receptionists but viktor is still waffling and yuuri just has half the mind to make a run for it.
viktors just left there, speechless and a little offended, until someone called yuuko, a seemingly very nice and polite lady, walks by and oh! she can help me!
**yuuri ran past yuuko on his way away and like hastily explained the situation and yuuko agreed that she would clock him in and help the quote unquote, "super good-looking guy with silver hair up front who has a nice voice and who i think was flirting with me but i panicked and ran away i'm heading to the changing rooms now bye"**
and then after yuuko helps viktor out, viktor gets ready for the pool, yada yada and then makes his way there and immediately tries to find chris so he can gossip about the rude guy at reception who literally ran away from him like he was a serial killer.
he sees chris [whos shirtless] on the other side of the pool talking to someone [also shirtless] (who conveniently has their back to viktor) and he doesn't recognise who they are??
and then chris sees viktor and just
"VIKTOR!! WE HAVE A NEW LIFEGUARD COME SAY HI!"
and viktors heading there and then the person who chris was talking to turns around and yo what the fuck is that the guy from reception holy shit he's ripped AND HOT AND WOW WHAT
viktors so distracted by yuuri that he slips over a wet patch on the side of the pool and falls in
luckily he doesn't drown - he manages his way back up to the top and yuuris just :0 and chris is laughing his ass off like the phattest tears are rolling down his cheeks
**keep in mind yuuri was just ranting to chris about his encounter with viktor when he appeared but since yuuri didnt know his name he called him something along the lines of “the literal personification of beauty. also he had cool silver hair and a nice voice” and chris put two and two together immediately**
chris introduces the two and then you know what? viktor suddenly develops a huge crush on the cute new lifeguard whos also as hot as he is cute and wow he's sweet and HAS A POODLE and oh my god i need to stop judging people based on what they look like who knew this geeky little sweetheart was actually going to end up being the hottest person thats ever graced me with their presence
and then the rest of the fic is viktor unhealthily trying to deal with his newfound crush and trying to seduce yuuri
anyway
do what you will with this bye

“Sounds bad… Wanna come over early so we can talk about what we r gonna do about it?”
Once the message was sent, Taichi immediately regretted writing it. Not because he didn’t want Koushirou to come over already, not at all. Sure, he was also worried about the circumstances and did not fancy the idea of having to go out of their way to defeat some rampant Digimon materializing in the real world on Christmas Eve.
But there was something else he was mainly concerned about – especially because Koushirou didn’t even take more than a minute to reply.
“That sounds like a sensible idea. I will be on my way as quickly as possible.”
That didn’t really surprise Taichi, even if this change of plans would probably screw over Koushirou’s entire schedule, he knew he could be quick to act when the fate of the world was at stake. Not everyone was as reliable as Koushirou was though…
“What do you mean, we don’t have enough eggs? We always make sure to have tons of those around?”, Taichi asked his mother frantically, raising his eyes from the phone in his hand. They had been baking for an hour so far, several plates of cookies already cooling down on the counter – while Tailmon kept an eye on everything, so Agumon wouldn’t just reach for them.
“Maybe I only keep enough eggs in the house when you’re around… Which tells me that you’re not around nearly often enough, my dear son”, Yuuko responded with a crooked smile, causing Hikari to chuckle. “Anyways, you two go and grab some more or we won’t be able to get any further…”
Taichi couldn’t help but to groan out loud. Speaking of ‘screwed up plans’…
“I asked Koushirou to come over, so I should at least warn him, so he won’t be-“
“Oh, that’s wonderful, so he can help me until you two get back here!”
“Mom…”, he groaned some more, this time with narrowed eyes. He knew how much she enjoyed including his friends into her kitchen shenanigans and among all of them, Koushirou – and Sora, probably – was her favourite victim. “Let me at least message him, before-“
“You can do that on your way, so hurry up already!”
“Don’t worry, Onii-chan”, Hikari intervened, already grabbing a few bags for them to carry their groceries with, as she urged her brother towards the entrance of the Yagami residence to grab his coat. “You know, mom likes Koushirou-san as much as you do, so he’s in good hands.”
“What the heck is that supposed to mean?!”
“Well, whether he’s with her or you, there might be a chance that something gets burnt or explodes if left unsupervised…”
 “What?!”
“Or maybe not”, Hikari chuckled again, never tiring of teasing her brother to the moon and back, especially when he took the bait as easily as that. But she did enjoy spending the holidays together after he had moved out round about two years ago. So getting him a little worked up was just her way of showing some sisterly love. “My bad, how foolish of me to assume she or anyone else could like him as much as you do… That’s impossible.”
Caught by surprise, Taichi found himself stopping in his motions as he threw a scarf around his neck, a faint redness covering his cheeks.
“What are you talking about? Are you sure you didn’t get affected by the electrical disturbances?”, he asked, half defensively, half genuinely worried. Hikari was highly perceptive of anything out of the norm happening between the worlds, but sometimes, he wasn’t sure whether she was actually getting otherworldly vibes or just messing with him.
“Nope, I’m fine, just in the mood to spread some Christmas spirit”, she smiled, turning back to the kitchen once more to whisper to Tailmon, while her mom was still twirling around to sort out the mess they already made. “Promise me to watch over the place, so Agumon won’t eat the remaining batter. And… Make sure Koushirou-san doesn’t actually get burnt.”
“Got it, you can count on me, Hikari.”
“I didn’t mean to eat the batter!”
“I know you didn’t, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.”
“Hikari, let’s go!”, Taichi shouted from the entrance, more than ready to get this over with to, if needed, rescue his best friend from getting sucked into baking hell as soon as possible.

PILLOW TALK
“Yuuko, come here. Stay with me tonight..” Tomura opened his arms in an invitation which Yuuko happily accepted, melting into his embrace.
“Rough day, Tomura-kun?” she whispered into his chest, he didn’t answer and just hid his face in her hair pulling her down into the bed making him the big spoon. Yuuko giggled at his eagerness to cuddle, she remembered a time where he recoiled at a simple act of a hug. She smiles and looks up at him, her eyes filled with fondness and love.
“I can feel you staring, what?” He mumbles from her hair.
“Nothing..I just love you” she chuckles. Yuuko feels Tomura freeze in her arms and looks at her dead in the eyes
“Don’t say shit you don’t mean, you’ll make me angry” he huffs and turns away from her pulling the blanket over his body.
“Wait, you think I was joking? I wasn’t Tomura. I genuinely love you” she nuzzles into his neck.
“I’m sorry it took me so long to say anything, but I mean it. You don’t have to say anything back I just wanted to tell you” she wiggles under the blanket ready to sleep figuring he would need time to process and figure out how to let her down gently and that would be fine, she’s just happy being here with him and didn’t need anymore that he wasn’t willing to give.
“I love you too..”
“What was that?”
She lifted her head to him only to be greeted by him grabbing onto her shoulders with a single finger raised on each hand. His vermillion eyes search her expression for any sign of fear of hesitation and find none. He takes a deep breath and thinks ‘fuck it’ and slams his mouth to hers.
Yuuko squeaks in surprise and wraps her arms around his neck slowly kissing him back. Tomura felt all the tension in his shoulders melt away at her acceptance and his hands albeit carefully traveled down to her hips and pulled her closer to him. She got the hint and shuffled into his lap breaking the kiss.
“Tomura..is this? I mean are we?” She babbled on for a few seconds in denial and confusion, something Tomura often found endearing but in this moment it just caused frustration.
“I..like you dammit! Isn’t it obvious?!” He barked out causing her eyes to widen.
“Oh good! I’m so glad!” The bluntness of his words snapped her out of her rambling which is something Yuuko appreciates from Tomuras tone, knowing he won’t lie to her and will tell her what he’s feeling even if it hurts, that brutal honesty is what she likes about him.
“Glad?”
He questions his head tilting.
“To be totally honest with you, I was prepared for rejection”
she chuckles, her eyes crinkling with that wide smile he loves hates seeing because it makes his heart squeeze and thump in his chest.
“Why would you tell me something like that if you just thought I’d reject you?”
Human emotion and relationships was not his forte which was something Yuuko was patient with, which was what he liked about her. Her willingness to be patient and accepting and supportive despite how different they are giving him hope.
“Because I knew I’d regret never telling you and never taking the plunge into what could be a great thing for us. Even if you didn’t accept how I felt..I wanted to tell you how much meeting you had changed my life and had made me..so happy” she smiles again but this time, she has tears in her eyes. His heart squeezed again, that pain in his chest only she can provide, the pain in his chest he only wants from her. The pain he never wants to go away: the pain of loving someone. It’s true, he feels something for her he thought he never would . Love. A foreign word on his tongue but with Yuuko as the context it feels right and feels perfect.
He leans in pressing another soft kiss to her lips.
“Be mine and only mine you idiot, only I can kiss you like this, got it?” He snapped out only to be met with laughter and Yuuko wiping the tears from her eyes.
“You idiot, I’ve always been yours.”

My Review of Flowers of Evil
Tumblr media
How did I get into this anime? Because Flowers of Evil is something no one says, “Oh I want to see that, this looks like a masterpiece”! Oh, I was well familiar with the rotoscope nightmare stories from this and hoped to God my randomizer wouldn’t curse me with watching Flowers of Evil. I was however intrigued to learn that there was a yandere in this anime that’s on Yuno Gasai AND Shion Sonozaki levels. But intrigue can only get me so far when you spend 13 episodes watching…
Tumblr media
THIS!
No this is not an exaggeration. Everyone has this kind of cringe face throughout the entire anime series. Be afraid children.
Tumblr media
So the story is about this guy named Takao Kasuga. He loves to read and he loves the class smarty-pants Nanako Saeki. He doesn’t just love her, he sees her as his muse and his Venus and all that bullshit. But this is an admiration from afar. Pretty sure Saeki doesn’t even know he exists! One day, Kasuga forgets his book in his classroom. And on the ground, he notices a gym bag that belongs to Saeki. Oh come on, he’s not gonna go down the perverted route and steal a girl’s gym…
Tumblr media
So he steals Saeki’s gym uniform. And surprise, one person knew what happened. The class loner, Nakamura! She forces Kasuga to form a contract with her. It wasn’t written or anything, just verbal. However, that doesn’t stop Nakamura from forcing Kasuga to do whatever she wants. But does Nakamura really like Kasuga or is she just into torturing this shit-faced pervert?
BETWEEN THE SUB AND THE DUB: You know, I’m too thrown off by the animation here that it has temporarily paralyzed me from catching voices or even giving a damn. I’m familiar with only two of the cast mates and the rest is literally my first time hearing it. Okay, I have one comment here. I often forget Mariya Ise could do some damn-ass scary characters like Nakamura. And when she does those murderous screams, forget about it! Here’s what you might recognize these folks from.
*Kasuga is played by Shinichirou Ueda
*Saeki is played by Yoko Hikasa (known for Bea on Pokemon Journeys, Rias on High School DxD, Mio on K-ON!, Hina on Domestic Girlfriend, Kirigiri on Danganronpa, Frieda on Attack on Titan, and Diana on Little Witch Academia)
*Nakamura is played by Mariya Ise (known for Bonnie on Pokemon XY, Levy on Fairy Tail, Ray on The Promised Neverland, Stocking on Panty & Stocking, Mika on Durarara, Dorothy on Black Clover, and Yuuko on Yuri on Ice)
SHIPPING: Oh please, anime Gods, do not turn this into another School Days fiasco. I find myself praying for this a lot these days. But in this anime’s case, please do not go down that route!
So, it was clear from episode one that Kasuga had a crush on Saeki. But this got very perverted very fast when he stole her gym clothes and that lead to the contract with Nakamura. Now is Nakamura romantically invested in Kasuga or is she just a crazy bitch. Let’s chalk this up to a 50-50 split here.
Tumblr media
It wasn’t until the fourth episode where Kasuga and Saeki actually spoke to each other. And one episode later, they go on a date and end up in a relationship. One has to wonder if Kasuga would have one day acted on his own and ask Saeki out. All of this happened because he was being forced by that psychopath Nakamura. She tortured this kid and forced him to do so many unethical things. Stripping him naked and putting Saeki’s uniform on him for one! Who does that? So would Kasuga have done these sporadic actions if Nakamura wasn’t in the picture? After he stole that uniform, anything is possible. Now here’s the crazy shit here, Saeki loves Kasuga and she doesn’t care that he stole her gym uniform and did fuck-knows-what with it. She’s mad that Kasuga hid it, but still loves him.
Girl, the fuck is wrong with you?! You must be some special kind of crazy!
Tumblr media
By the end of this series, you do see a shift in Kasuga and who he wants to chase after. Saeki or Nakamura?! Let’s just say that during a running away scene, Kasuga was going to go home with Saeki until he saw Nakamura and he chases after her. That’s a pretty good sign that Kasuga has switched gears on who he likes. I won’t delve any further than that as the anime only gives us so much and the rest of this love turmoil between these three characters is covered only in the manga. Probably a sign I should read the manga!
Tumblr media
LOOOOOONG NO DIALOGUE MOMENTS: Dude, I know you’re trying to set the mood for certain moments, but I think you can dial it back a bit. This complaint isn’t just what happened at the beginning of episode 9; it took forever to get the main gist of this story in the very first episode. I had no idea what the main premise of the story was until the last five minutes of the first episode when Kasuga stole Saeki’s gym uniform.
Now I’m not knocking serious moments where there is no dialogue between characters for a long period of time and we just watch the animation of them walking or doing something. Hell, Neon Genesis Evangelion had famous scenes like that. But the elevator scene didn’t last six fucking minutes. Neither did the scene where Shinji kills Kaowru. In episode 9, we watch Nakamura and Kasuga walking from the school to home and watch the whole walk after destroying the classroom. I guarantee you, you could leave this episode running, fix yourself a bowl of cereal and toast, eat it up, go to the bathroom to have a good yank, then finish it off with watching a Che Guevara documentary…and Nakamura and Kasuga would still be walking home! I’m exaggerating and I don’t care. I feel like being an asshole here.
Tumblr media
OH DEAR GOD, WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!: Very rarely will I ever look at an opening or ending theme song in literal fear. In fact, the last one to be so morbid was with Attack on Titan’s second season ending. I mean, the imagery alone should tell you that this is full of spoilers and possessed by the devil itself. Now that I think about it, that’s still undefeated. But Flowers of Evil’s ending theme is a close fucking second. Have you heard this thing? It sounds like Bjork singing in Japanese, synthesized, while a cat walks on a keyboard and having a seizure at the same time. Thank God there are no actual visuals for this other than the flower featured on Kasuga’s book. I don’t think we can handle anymore animation from this nightmare fuel.
ENDING: The writing is on the wall!
Tumblr media
And the floor, the ceiling…that classroom is just a fucking mess!
Kasuga’s one bad deed led to another and another in a domino effect. And instead of a little devil on his shoulder, he has a classmate that’s a sociopath. Kasuga has guilt about hiding so much from Saeki in this relationship and he wants to tell her everything he did. Nakamura says, “Nah, you’re going to write it all over the classroom and let the whole world know what a piece of shit you are”. Let’s just say Nakamura and Kasuga went overboard and completely destroyed their classroom. Kasuga gets a bit of a lucky break as the other vandalism covered up his name on the chalkboard confession. But two people have caught onto Kasuga’s crime, Saeki and Kasuga’s mother.
Saeki put two and two together when she noticed the ink smearing on the ground resembled the flower art work on Kasuga’s book “Flowers of Evil” and her stolen gym uniform was placed right there. As for Kasuga’s mother, she put two and two together when she heard what happened to his classroom and noticed Kasuga’s behavior and dirty clothes from the night of the crime. Won’t be long before everyone knows what Kasuga did.
What now, shit-face?
Tumblr media
Run away with Nakamura to the next town. Yeah, why the fuck not?! Saeki ends up tracking them down and tried to convince them to come back and for Kasuga to be truthful. Saeki wants Kasuga and I almost want to say the same, except hanging around this psycho-bitch for a while has caused him to try to stop Nakamura from leaving. Having Saeki see Kasuga go after Nakamura isn’t really a good look! At this point, it really feels like his love for Saeki was nothing more than lust.
Tumblr media
Dude, isn’t there a rule about not messing with crazy…like, don’t stick your dick in crazy?! This dude has got one crazy bitch on psycho-yandere levels and the other that’s about to turn into Kotonoha from School Days in about five seconds. Well, no one left town today as the police were called to look for Saeki because her parents are overprotective types and they take the other kids in.
We get a small time-leap of one month after the night in the police station. Nakamura’s been ignoring Kasuga and Kasuga ends his relationship with Saeki. Dude, stop trying to stick your dick in crazy! Kasuga tries to speak to Nakamura again and it fails. So he visits her at home and meets Nakamura’s father and grandmother. Then, he sneaks into her room and reads her private journal that talks about Kasuga a lot. Dude, you are stepping in uncharted territory! Drop the journal and get the fuck out before Nakamura comes home. So Nakamura comes in her room and finds shit-face reading her journal.
Tumblr media
*sighs*
First, I would like to acknowledge that Mariya Ise has one hell of a throat to scream as much as this crazy bitch does. Second, the fuck did I just say, ya dumbass?! Here we get another chase scene between Kasuga and Nakamura. What follows is…I can’t place my thoughts on this. Weird imagery, out of place dialogue, and possible scenes of future stuff to happen! A rape scene involving Saeki, a festival, a hideout, a knife, and fire! Thanks for the cryptic message guys, really appreciate it! Either the anime ran out of money or they’re fucking with the audience. Kasuga says he wants to form a contract with Nakamura and that’s the end!
Hmm, this anime came out in 2013 and it is now 2021. All the buildup and no word on a sequel! We all know that sequel ain’t ever coming. You have a better chance of a continuation to Haruhi Suzumiya than you do with this hunk of shit.
Okay, maybe ‘hunk of shit’ is too mean. This wasn’t a terrible anime. It was weird as fuck, the animation leaves a bad impression, but overall it wasn’t that bad. Now the manga to Flowers of Evil is a favorite to many. Probably because the characters don’t look like a cringey meme and there aren’t so many awkward pauses with no dialogue. Unless there’s a whole volume of Flowers of Evil out there where we just look at pictures of Nakamura and Kasuga walking home where they don’t say a fucking thing! I am not letting that go! Charlie Brown movies didn’t go to that level you guys did!
I was interested with each passing episode to see what Nakamura was going to do next and what she was capable of. I couldn’t make out if she was going to be homicidal or suicidal or just impact psychological warfare on her prey. It was the latter for this series, but I heard of some attempted seppuku going down in the manga. I’d like to think maybe one day a different studio would pick up this series, but I seriously doubt it with the rotten reception this adaptation received. It was said that the director to the anime saw this more as a live-action series than an anime and that’s why we have the rotoscope animation. It wasn’t until 2019 that we got a live-action adaptation to Flowers of Evil. Not sure how people felt about that adaptation, but even I have a feeling that it was much better than the anime. Hell, a Netflix adaptation probably would have turned out a better product. It would be nice for this to get a reboot, different studio, different director, and smash everything that has the word ‘rotoscope’ on it
Yeah, if you can get over watching the animation, give it a watch. Episode one drags, but it picks up the second Nakamura confronts Kasuga.
If you would like to watch Flowers of Evil, Crunchyroll and Hidive have all 13 episodes available for streaming.
Okay, now that I’m finished with that sociopathic nightmare let’s pick another Sentai Filmworks anime.
Tumblr media
HELL NO! I am not reviewing, “My Teacher Accidentally Made Me Horny”. That’s what I’m calling it and you should all do the same. NEXT!
Tumblr media
Okay…I have no idea what the hell this anime is, but it looks harmless enough.

Taichi Week Day 7: Free Day
Days: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Title: Second Chances Summary: Taichi was never a believer of second chances, until it happened to him. Taichi took a deep breath and buried his face in his hands. He didn't fully understand why suddenly Akiko told him she didn't want to be with him anymore. As far as he knew things were great between them. "Can you say again what exactly happened?" Yuuko sat down beside her son. He looked at his mother and began explaining everything again.
Taichi walked into Akiko's floor that night carrying a small bouquet in his hands. They were celebrating their first anniversary together and were going to have a romantic dinner at a nice restaurant and then going to the movies. He hid the flowers behind his back and knocked on her door. She answered it a few seconds later. "Taichi, what are you doing here?" Her expression changed from happiness to disappoint in a matter of seconds. "We agreed to go out today, remember? To celebrate our first anniversary." "Oh right." She stepped aside. "Please come in." "These are for you." Taichi finally showed her the flowers. "Happy one year anniversary." "Thank you." Akiko forced herself to smile as she took the bouquet in her hands. "Happy one year anniversary. I'm sorry, I completely forgot about our date tonight." "That's okay, we still have time." He looked at his watch. "If you get ready now, we'll make it in time for the reservation." "Taichi, can we talk for a moment?" She said a little nervous. "Okay, what's going on?" "It's been fun spending this year with you, but I don't think I can do this any longer." "Do what? Dating me?" "Yes. I thought I was ready, but I realized I'm not. The truth is that I still haven't fully recovered from my last relationship and it's unfair to do this to you." "I don't get it. Everything was fine until now." "I know, I'm sorry." Akiko took a deep breath and moved two locks of her long black hair behind her ears. "I just can't do this." "So what does this mean? Are you breaking up with me?" "Yeah, I'm breaking up with you. I want you to know what I really tried, but I can't push myself when I'm not ready to commit. I don't want us to have any tension between us because I really like you as a friend and hope we can remain friends." "I'm not sure if I can right now." Taichi said. "I really don't know what to think about all of this." "I know it's a shock, and I should have said something sooner. It's all my fault." "That's okay, don't worry about it." He quickly looked at the door. "So I guess I should go then." "Yeah." Akiko looked at the flowers in her hands. "Do you want to…" "No." He cut her off. "You can keep them. Consider this a last present from me." "Okay. Thank you." She offered him a more sincere smile this time. "They're really beautiful." "They are." He sighed. "So I guess this is it. I wish you the best." "Me too. You're a great person, Taichi. I hope you don't think badly of me." "I'll see you around, I guess. Take care." "You too." Keep reading it on FF.net or AO3
