At the same time, in another nation.
Despite not being the God of Wisdom, Morax, going by the name Zhongli now, would consider himself intelligent.
Yet this was the first time in centuries that he had felt this conflicted.
When his God first returned he was overjoyed, finally he would be able to talk with them again. Yet that feeling of ecstasy didn’t last long, soon he noticed something odd about their behavior.
At first he brushed it off, The Divine One was gone for a while and maybe during their journey the activities they used to enjoy didn’t make them happy anymore. Yet it was as if their entire personality had changed and he couldn’t help the feeling that kept growing in the back of his mind.
Doubt.
If anyone else knew about this, he knows for a fact he would be replaced and possibly killed by The Divine One themselves. So he pushed this feeling down, pretending that nothing was amiss for as long as he could.
Well until he decided to vacate his duties as the Geo Archon.
With the help of the Traveler he had planned his own funeral, and right after, he gave his Gnosis to the Fatui.
Even though the Traveler has questioned why he had given away his Gnosis to the nefarious group, she quickly let it go once Zhongli had explained the contract they had made. Despite not knowing the true details of the contract.
-
“So in exchange, you want my Gnosis?”
“Indeed. I think that’s a fair exchange, don’t you?”
“I agree… I accept the terms of this contract…”
“If things go as planned I will send one of my Harbingers to collect your Gnosis, Morax.”
-
Zhongli shakes his head clearing his mind of the conversation he had with the Tsaritsa in the past. He sips his tea mindlessly listening to his boss go on about another two for one deal she had thought of.

In Sumeru
“Where could they have run off to?” Paimon groans, “Paimon is getting super tired.”
“You don’t even walk, you float.” Lumine retorts a deadpan look on her face.
The fairy scoffs, “floating gets tiresome too you know!”
Lumine decides not to respond to Paimons defense on being tired, instead she looks down at Nahida who was walking closely next to her.
“Hey Nahida…” Lumine begins. “When you said you had your own suspicions, what did you mean?”
The Dendro Archon’s steps falter, “Traveler I have a lot of trust in you. You saved me from the Sages and done so much more for Sumeru and because of this I’ll tell you.”
Lumine stops walking putting her full attention on her. Paimon, who was just as curious, stops as well.
“Not long after you saved me and I noticed I had missed the descent of The Creator, I went into Irminsul to see what memories there was of them so I knew more about them.”
“Wait, Irminsul has memories of The Creator?” Paimon gasps.
Nahida nods, “Yes, The Creator is the one who made Teyvat after all. Anyways-“ The Archon brings her hand up to her chin, “All of the memories Irminsul had were complete contradictions to how they are now. The only thing that is the same is how they look.”
Lumine’s eyes widen, “so do you think… that the one we’re looking for is the true Creator?”
The girl let’s out a sigh, “Truthfully, I want to talk to them and get a read on them myself. There is a possibility they are the true God .”
“Does anyone else know about this? The Akademiya?”
Nahida shakes her head quickly, “This is very sensitive information and it could put others lives at risk, but I know that if I’m correct, you’d be the best one to help me.”
Lumine nods trying to ignore the feeling of dread crawling up her back.
“We should probably keep moving.”
Tumblr media
Sumeru was much different than the last time you’ve seen it.
Besides it being more advanced, it gave off the feeling that it was more peaceful. Maybe the citizens finally started dreaming.
You let out a huff as you stare down at a river you had to cross. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem since you would just use your abilities to do what you needed, but you were trying not to use your powers at all.
When you had gave out the Gnosis to the Seven Archons, you gave them a bit of your grace which is how they became Gods in the first place. Not only did the Gnosis give them the power to wield elemental energy without a vision but it also gave them a closer connection to you.
So anytime you use your abilities, the Archons would know.
You reach down pulling off your shoes, it was already annoying that you had to walk, the last thing you want to do is deal with wet shoes.
“Hey!” A high pitched voice called out, “I think I found them.”
You let out another sigh recognizing the voice instantly. It was that weird… floating… creature that tagged along with that outlander. The sound of hurried footsteps caused you to turn around.
You were right. It was the blonde girl and her companion but this time they were with someone else?
Your eyes widen a bit, but not enough to give away your shock.
This girl with them was definitely one of the Archons, the Dendro one to be exact. Yet this wasn’t the Dendro Archon the last time you had came to Teyvat so that must mean…
“We’ve been looking everywhere for you.” Lumine says in between breaths.
You smile, “I appreciate your care, but you didn’t have to go all out of your way just because you found me in the desert. I feel fine no-“
“I met The Creator.” Lumine interrupts, “you two share the same face.”
Well damn, you didn’t keep this a secret for very long.
“So you know…” you say calmly to them. They all share glances with each other then look back at you.
“How is that possible?” Paimon asks, “how can two Creators exist at the same time?”
You drop your shoe’s sliding them back on before crossing your arms, “well I’m guessing since you’re not attacking me or trying to arrest me you have your doubts about the ‘Creator’… I’m guessing that it’s Kusanali’s doing.”
The Archon gives you a perplexed look, “you know my name?”
You nod. “Of course I do, with my connection to Teyvat it would only make sense, right?”
Well there was no point in acting ignorant now, they had already confronted you with the information.
“So…” you drag out, “why did you come all the way out here to find me?”
Lumine leans back and forth on her feet awkwardly, “well actually The Creator…er-“ she was hesitant, as if she didn’t know what to call them, “they asked me to bring you to them.”
You nod understandingly, “and are you going to do as they asked?”
Lumine looks down at Nahida then back at you, “well after talking with Nahida, I have my doubts if they are truly who they say they are.”
You want to smile, but fight it. It seems that the God of Wisdom is still living up to the reputation. Even if it is someone else.
“Well I guess there’s no reason to lie anymore. I am who you believe but I have no way to prove it to you yet. It would make my presence more…noticeable to others.”
Nahida gives you a smile, “I believe you. Proof isn’t necessary.”
Lumine and Paimon whip their head to stare at the white haired girl, “what do you mean proof isn’t necessary? You just said-“
“I’m know.” She interjects, “but now that I am standing here face-to-face with them. I can feel the special connection that Irminsul and the scriptures deep within the Akademiya we’re talking about.”
Nahida looks back at you and continues, “Lumine, I’m not sure if you feel it but standing here with them now I feel a warmth that I don’t get from the one on the Throne. Not to mention that not a single monster had attacked us since we had gotten into a certain radius of them.”
Lumine’s jaw drops a bit as she watches Nahida give you a small bow a look of guilt in her eyes. “I apologize for my foolishness, I should’ve known that they weren’t who they say they were.”
This time you don’t fight the smile from forming on your lips, “you don’t have to apologize, whoever they are, them pretending to be me was supposed to be uncanny. If the Archons could tell from one look that they wasn’t The Creator then I doubt they would’ve tried.”
Lumine was still a bit unconvinced. She couldn’t trust Gods that easily since one had taken her brother away from her. However she does trust Nahida and if Nahida believes you are who you say, she will go along with it too. She hopes that she’ll have the time to ask you about the unknown God or even Khaenri'ah.
“So there’s actually something I wanted to ask you…” you sit down in the soft grass crossing your legs. “Being an Archon, I’m guessing you spent lots of time with the one on the throne right?”
Nahida nods.
“Could you tell me… have they changed anything?”
It was silent for a moment as the God of Wisdom hesitates to answer your question.
“Actually there is one thing.”
You perk up giving her your full attention.
“They want to invade Snezhnaya… They are trying to get the other Archons to declare war on the nation.”
“What!” You exclaim, “why? Why would they do that.”
“Well the Cryo Archon, the Tsaritsa, had closed off her nation a few years ago and won’t let anyone in, even them. No one is for sure why, but when one of her Harbingers were in Sumeru I tried to ask him and he said ‘we will all know eventually’”
“Oh Paimon remembers him,” you notice her shudder at the thought, “he was super creepy and dangerous!”
You let out a breath bring your hand up to you mouth, “I have to act quickly then. I can’t let that happen… Teyvat has already lost enough.” Your voice softens at the end, since you were mostly talking to yourself but judging from the looks on the girls faces, you assume they heard you.
“Is there anyway we can help?” Lumine asks suddenly. She didn’t even realize the words had left her mouth until it was too late, almost as if she had no control over herself anymore. Like she had the dying urge to help you.
You stare at her, “I’ve never met anyone who wanted to help a world they’re not even from. You’re different than others I’ve met.”
Your voice was so genuine and sweet that Lumine couldn’t help the smile that went across her face or the warm feeling the enveloped her at the sound of your praise.
“Well there is something you could do… all of you.” You stand from your spot on the ground, dusting any dirt off your clothing.
“Go along with the False Creator, make them believe you are loyal to them.”
“How can we do that?” The Traveler questions, “they said to bring you back.”
“Oh that’s right…” you mutter, “tell them I’m dead.”
“You want us to what?” Paimon shrieks.
“If the False Creator believes I’m dead they’ll stop looking for me and then no one else will be aware of my existence.”
“Wait, what are you going to do?” Nahida says.
“I’m heading to Liyue.” You simply explain.
“Alone?” Lumine says, “I can go with you. A lot of people trust me in Liyue.”
You give her a smile, despite how reserved she seemed to be when you had first told them about your true nature. Now she was basically jumping at the idea of helping you, maybe you had a stronger affect on her than she wants to admit.
“Thanks but I’ll be fine. I’m used to traveling alone anyways.”
The Traveler deflates a bit when you decline but nods.
“I’m counting on you… Lumine, Nahida, and Paimon.” You confess as you walk back toward the body of water you had plans to cross until they had interrupted.
The group of girls watch you walk off, once you were out of sight, they turn around heading back towards Sumeru City.
“What are we going to do now.” Paimon says once they start walking back.
“You two should tell the False Creator that they are dead, I’m going to enter Irminsul and see if I can find anything that will help.”
Lumine nods.
Once again the Traveler was thrown off their journey of meeting the Seven, but for once, she actually didn’t mind it one bit.

Note: I got a bit carried away with this part… and this isn’t how I wanted to end it originally. But I’ll just add that to part three instead.

loved your recent jb fic!! was wondering if you had any hcs for her and actress!reader??
OMG OMG OMG I LOVE U THIS IS SO GOOD
Okay so, I've never done hcs officially before so I hope these are okay!
actress!reader is my bby i've been acting for so long so i love her
i hc that julien is a big fan of her work and has loved her for years, like maybe she's jb's unofficial celeb crush?
the major swiftie in me has actress!reader and taylor as good friends, so i think actress!reader met phoebe through taylor and the two of them rly hit it off
and actress!reader loves phoebe's music but doesn't know bg that well, so she starts listening and (like all of us) immediately loves julien
and phoebe knows julien loves reader and now reader likes jb, so she's scheming to get them together so hard
so maybe actress!reader goes to the eras tour, to one of the shows phoebe opens for and sees the boys on stage and is just SO enamored with julien
and jb knows she's there and is freaking out the whole time
and then after they finish their set the boys go to hang out in the tent and actress!reader meets lucy and julien and they're both totally freaking out
and jb gets all flustered and is like "omg i love you-i mean, i love your work" and the reader is just so happy
and when she compliment's julien's singing and guitar? it's over for baby jules
so throughout the whole show jb and reader can't keep their eyes off each other, julien is like sneaking glances as her and is just so in awe
reader is so into the show (the best concert of all time i will forever be reliving it) and is dancing with pheobe, and eventually pheebs pushes her onto julien and they're all over each other dancing and singing and just being in each other's presence
and after the show they all hang out together and jb and reader just can't get enough of each other and everyone can see the sparks flying
they exchange numbers and are talking and texting all the time, and eventually jb asks her out, and the rest is history!!
okay dating hcs!
i think jb is insanely protective of the reader, like any time they're out together she has her hands on reader, she's always keeping an eye on her, just guard dog vibes
julien is also her number one fan, every project, every event, every award she is just so proud and hyping her gf up at any given moment
actress!reader and jb bring each other to all of their awards shows and premieres and stuff and there are SO many pictures of the two of them just being so in love
the boys (and muna<3) are in love with actress!reader
phoebe and reader are besties, but after reader and jb start dating lucy loves her too
muna is literally obsessed with her and will tease jb constantly, like "you better watch out or one of us is gonna steal your girl"
hyping each other up online like "FUCK YEAH LOOK AT MY SUPER AMAZING TALENTED GF"
the cutest photo dumps of each other online
actress!reader and jb both have really crazy schedules and they're both traveling a lot, so constant facetiming is a must, but I feel like they send snail mail and love letters too
she gets tattoos for actress!reader, like her initial or maybe a reference to one of her roles or smth?
matching tattoos! (if that's something ur into ofc)
the hickeys she had on snl and the red carpet? some of actress!reader's best work
omg matching hickeys yes please
lots of reassurance for each other, like "i love you, you're the one i want to be with" especially when actress reader has to play someone's love interest or reader sees jb kissing the boys on stage
LOTS of physical touch, her hands on actress!reader's hips or in her back pocket or around she shoulders at ALLLLLLL times
actress reader has a shirt that says something like "i'm with the band" or "i <3 guitarists" that she wears to bg shows
literally just them being so obsessed and in love it hurts
constantly telling each other how grateful they are to have each other
jb definitely writes songs for & about actress!reader
hopefully you guys liked these!! ty for the requests, love you all infinitely <3

-Back on the Beat-
Part 2. 06
October 26th, 5:39pm
Kim is feeling… unsettled.
If he didn’t know better, he would say he was nervous. Except Kim does know better and he doesn’t get nervous.
He’s frustrated because he can’t figure out what to wear, and he’s changed his outfit four times now.
But he isn’t nervous.
Jimbo, Kim’s cat, intermittently walks into the bedroom, only to walk back out again a few minutes later. As if he wants to be in there with Kim, but the tension is too much for him to stay long.
Kim sighs.
Tonight is family dinner night. It’s a new weekly tradition Kinn and Porsche are trying to make happen, and tonight will be the third night they hold it. For Kim, it will be his first night attending. He doesn’t mind spending time with Khun, but Kim doesn’t get along too well with Kinn, and he’s hardly exchanged more than two words with Porsche. His father will also be there, which is never an appealing situation.
Normally, Kim would avoid such an event and ignore Khun’s hassling until his attendance is given up on.
Except Porchay asked Kim to come.
Kim thinks he would go through far more grueling activities than family dinner in order to spend time with Porchay.
And… this will be the first time since they broke up that Kim and Porchay will be spending an extended period of time in the same room together.
They might even get a chance to talk.
Maybe Kim is a little nervous.
But only to see Porchay.
They’ve been texting most days recently. The topics they talk about vary a lot, and Porchay is usually the one to initiate the conversation. He also asks for pictures of Kim’s cat on a regular basis, and Kim has taken to bringing his phone with him around the house so he can snap pictures of Jimbo for the next time Porchay asks for them.
Kim looks down at the leather jacket in his hands and holds back a smile.
He really needs to get going though, or he will be late.
Well… later than he already is anyway.
Kim throws on the first outfit he tried 45 minutes ago, checks himself in the mirror for another ten minutes, gives Jimbo a scratch under his chin and leaves his apartment. He’s now running almost 25 minutes late for dinner.
Tumblr media
Kim arrives at the compound dining room just as the staff are putting food on the table. Kinn and Porsche both look surprised to see him, but Kim ignores them in favour or looking at Porchay. They lock eyes, and Porchay smiles gently at Kim.
Kim’s heart soars.
“It’s not nice to be tardy, little brother!” Tankhun remarks haughtily, pulling Kim’s attention away from Porchay. If Kim didn’t know Khun so well, he would miss the pleased look that Khun is trying to hide in favour of his fake exasperation.
“Hush, Tankhun,” Korn says “it’s lovely for you to join us, Kim. What a pleasant surprise!” Korn looks every bit the pleased, loving father he pretends to be on the outside. Kim sends him his most charming smile.
“I happened to be in the area, thought I should stop by at least once.” Tankhun huffs at his excuse, but he still looks pleased as he begins sorting through the food on the table.
Kinn doesn’t say anything, but he does have a hint of a smile on his face as he follows Khun’s lead with the food.
Perhaps tonight won’t be such a struggle after all.
The staff bring out an extra table setting for Kim, and he begins serving himself some rice.
The conversation at the table kicks off when Porsche turns to Porchay and asks him about the garden bed he's been cultivating under the watchful eye of the family's gardener. Kim makes a mental note to ask Porchay more about his flowers if they get a chance to talk and he needs something to fall back on.
Khun makes a comment about how delicious his food is, but how the pad kra pao could have been better. Kim silently agrees, but only because his pad kra pao is one of the best things he cooks. He was taught how to make it by their previous head chef when he was fourteen, and he perfected it when he moved out. Ever since that chef retired, the dish cooked by anyone else has never managed to please the table, and it’s almost guaranteed that Khun will comment on it. Kim has been meaning to make some for Khun, but he's a little nervous he won't live up to the standard.
Just as Kim is starting to think family dinner isn’t so bad after all, Korn turns to Kinn and Porsche and begins to talk business.
Which of course means various metaphors instead of actually talking directly, even though everyone at the table knows exactly what is being discussed.
"Kinn, how did the meeting go last week? Did you sort out the issue with the bread?”
“Yes pa. The bread is running through the clubs with our regular bakers once more. There was a slight disagreement regarding the ingredients used but it has now been sorted out.”
“Wonderful news. Well done. I knew you could handle the situation,” Korn remarks jovily. Kim internally rolls his eyes. He would bet good money the issue was actually caused by Korn’s own devices as some way of testing Kinn.
Kim’s phone buzzes in his pocket, and he turns away from the conversation to fish it out.
Tumblr media
Kim’s hand flies up to his mouth, but he’s not nearly quick enough to stifle the loud snort-laugh he lets out at Porchay’s message.
The table goes quiet as everyone turns to look at Kim in surprise, Porchay looking at him in delight, though he’s trying to hide it. It’s not working.
Tumblr media
“Sorry,” Kim explains, “I ate too quickly.” His face feels like it’s burning, and he keeps his head down as he fishes a piece of tofu off his place.
The conversation resumes, but Kim is no longer paying it any attention.
How fucking embarrassing.
Tumblr media
Kim looks up at Porchay, who is already watching him with a pleased smile. They lock eyes for a moment before Kim feels like he needs to look away once more, unsure how to handle the soft look on Porchay’s face.
Tumblr media
Dinner passes without further incident, Khun asks Kim a few things about his music and demands photos of Jimbo and Kim makes a mental note to send Khun a few of the pictures he’s been taking for Porchay.
The night winds down and eventually Korn retires for the evening. Kinn and Porsche have been giving each other bedroom eyes for the past half hour, and excuse themselves shortly after.
Tankhun looks to Kim like he’s about to say something, but changes his mind and excuses himself with a swish of his long cloak and a request for Kim to join them next time.
Kim doesn’t think he can handle another family dinner.
He’s standing up to leave when Porchay speaks up. He’s still sitting at the table, picking at the edge with his fingers.
“It’s good you could come. They always serve too much food and I feel awful leaving it on the table.”
“Don’t. The staff eat any leftovers so it doesn’t go to waste.”
“Ah.” Porchay looks down at the table, fiddling with his thumbs. The suspended silence is awkward, but Kim still hesitates to leave.
Just as he decides he should probably go, Porchay speaks again.
“Hey, are you busy after this?” he asks.
“Mm no, I was just going to head back home and do some work.”
“Oh... are you working on new music?”
“Maybe. Not sure if this one is going anywhere yet though.” Kim shuffles his feet. He's not sure what to do with his hands, and tucks them away in his pockets.
“Well…” Porchay pauses, as if unsure of his next words, “um, if you’re free for a little while, can you come upstairs with me?”
Kim’s brain short circuits. What?
Porchay continues quickly, “I’m fine tuning my latest shit post and I could use your critical eye.”
Kim doesn't know what to say. Porchay fiddles with his fingers some more, looking down at the table top and back up at Kim, and then looks away again.
"Yeah," Kim eventually finds his voice "Yeah of course. Lead the way."

Warnings: canon-compliant, canon-typical violence, mature language, adult content, slow burn, polyamory, found family, cool aunt agenda, alien/human (technically avatar), jake sully sister agenda, time skips, I'm trying to hurry up and get to the good parts so bear with me, fluff, angst, adopted spider, tags to be added
Tumblr media
Outnumbered by Na'vi men and women, Makayla wisely chose not to fight her own capture. With pleading eyes, Jake had begged her to just let the natives tie her hands and pull her into the forest by a rope, leading her away from Hell's Gate and weaponless. Jake sticks to the front of the group after instructing their hoard of banshees to fly away, while Kayla was being led around from the back. She barely spoke a word after initially hugging her brother out of relief and surprise, and instead chose to carefully observe her captives and kept her face neutral. Her biggest observation was about a certain Na'vi woman who walked closely to Jake compared to all the other warriors, the same woman who would occasionally look back to check on their avatar captive. Kayla wasn't blind but chose to keep the observation to herself for the time being.
They walked forever until Jake instructs the war party to rest for a bit now that they were safely distanced from the former military base. Kayla is pushed to the floor and forced to sit, her hands still tied in front of her. Jake and the mysterious Na'vi woman move to sit in front of her in their own little tight circle while the other people around them either rested or scouted ahead. This is where Jake told his sister everything, from the moment he left Earth to recent events following the arrival of the Sky People. He left out Neytiri and their children for the time being, hoping that Kayla would simply believe he did everything he could out of love for everyone and everything on Pandora, internally aware of how stupid she would make him look if she knew he had done it all for his love of one individual.
At first, Makayla appeared cautious and doubtful, some small part of her still making her suspicious as to whether or not the Na'vi in front of her was really her brother, in an avatar body that didn't bore any of his old tattoos. She wished she could spit and curse at him, demanding that he tell her the truth instead of this stupid, made-up fairytale. However, some of his tales back up what she had been told of the Na'vi people, the same people who fought and drove the RDA back from their homeworld and forced them to return to Earth. Jake relayed parts of those events that were recorded in RDA data files that Kayla couldn't afford to ignore. She was forced to believe him, especially in her predicament.
When Jake finished his story with a question of his own, wondering how she got here, Makayla's words felt heavy on her tongue as she answered, "Seven years ago, I was given this job opportunity to come to Pandora. General Ardmore said that in exchange for helping her establish evidence that human civilians could live in and out of the avatar link safely, she would help me find your remains and have them sent back to Earth," she caught the slight wideness of his yellow eyes before elaborating, "I was told you were killed in action so I wanted to find your body and send it home to be buried beside Tommy."
"Why does Ardmore want civilians to have avatars?"
"Earth is dying, Jake," as predicted, the Sully brother didn't look all too surprised and Kayla continued, "There's not much left of it, at least that's what it was like before I left, hence why I didn't need a whole lot of convincing to leave. The RDA is not mining for resources or anything like the last time they were here. No, they're now colonizing. Building roads and dams and skyscrapers. Ardmore's objective is to make Pandora our new home."
Neytiri hissed quietly from the back of her throat, "This was our home first."
Kayla's ears flattened for a moment, eyes carefully inspecting Neytiri's every movement before Jake purposely drove her attention away, "So they want you to... what? Be their guinea pig?"
"Essentially," she shrugged, "My job is to test the boundaries and see how far I could go in this body while mine still lies in a lab back in Bridgehead. They want to know how long I could stay in the link without breaking it. If the tests are successful, then they can get the green light to make more avatars, and this time for the civilians once they all move here."
"Tell me about General Ardmore."
"Logical. Analytical. Devoid of any kind of human emotion," Kayla let out an amused scoff, "I wouldn't be surprised if we woke up tomorrow to learn that she's actually a synthetic android. They chose her to run this task force because they knew she would never suddenly feel pity or empathy for any native life here on Pandora. She'll get the job done without even breaking a sweat or a tear. Nothing is personal to her. That makes her dangerous."
Jake slowly nods, adjusting his crouching stance before leveling Kayla with an interrogating look, "You sound like you know her pretty well."
She glared back in defiance, "She recruited me herself. She said I was exactly what she was looking for in a soldier. Now looking back, she probably recruited me to draw you out."
His ears visibly lowered in shame, along with his eyes when he realized he couldn't stand to look at his sister anymore, voice quiet as he spoke, "I'm sorry."
"Uh-huh," cold, unconvinced, and honestly uninterested, she moved onto an interrogation of her own, eyes flicking over to the Na'vi woman crouching beside him, "Who's she?"
Jake raises his arm and gently touches his mate's, "This is Neytiri. My wife. Neytiri, this is Makayla, my sister."
Neytiri, stern and neutral, dutifully nods to the avatar woman, "Hello, Makayla te Suli."
"Did you say your wife?" Makayla's mask slips as genuine shock graces her face, her traitorous tail wagging in curiosity behind her as she closely inspects Neytiri with her eyes. Regaining her composure, Kayla tries dropping her voice into a proper accent while nodding to her sister-in-law, "Kaltxì."
Both Neytiri and Jake curiously watch Kayla and she quickly backtracks and curls further in on herself, prepared to defend her pride, "Did I say it right?"
Jake smiles a little, "It's a little rusty, but we understood. How do you know Na'vi?"
"I was only in cryosleep for three years instead of the full trip here. I wanted to research as much as I could, but reading the words... it's harder to grasp the pronunciation compared to actually hearing it. I don't know most of the language, just the basic phrases."
"Did you... did you by any chance read Dr. Grace Augustine's book?"
She frowned, thrown off by this sudden small talk, "I did."
"Grace has a daughter who we adopted. Her name is Kiri. If you still have your copy--"
"Kiri?" Some angry emotion resembling betrayal flares in Kayla's gut as her tail suddenly goes still in alertness, "You have a daughter?"
Jake realized his mistake a moment too late, quickly looking away again, "We have two daughters. And two sons."
"Jesus Christ," Kayla rocks back on her heels for a moment, the resentment taking over for a brief moment as she raised her voice, "Anything else you'd like to dump on me?"
~~~~~~~~~
Instead of telling her, Jake just showed her. Ordering his war party to move out, they call and summon their ikran and Kayla is forced onto the back of one. This was the only time she tried resisting, and the Na'vi warrior in charge of her gnashed their teeth at her restraint before manhandling her onto the back of the mighty creature. Still tied up and unable to flee, Kayla became as stiff as a board as they flew up into the sky, joining the rest of the group. Jake flashed a sympathetic smile from his mount before flying further ahead to lead the party home.
What felt like forever to Makayla was only a couple of hours of flying through the clouds until a large shadow formed ahead of them. Squinting her eyes, Kayla tries to make out what the shadow was until it grew closer and her stomach dropped. It looked like a mountain, but she couldn't spot any means as to why it was floating instead of rooted in the ground far below. As they pass the large rock facing, they fly past another, then another, and then another, until the sky finally cleared of clouds and Kayla's breath was completely taken away.
Hundreds of large rock facings, scattered around the skies, floating around and hovering high over her head. Large vines protruding from the rocks act as anchors and bridges between mountains, passing through small waterfalls and all sorts of life that were thriving on the surface of each rock face. Life forms and vegetation sprouted from each mountain, and hundreds of ecosystems much similar to the ones on the ground, all of which acted as their own individual continents on their own respective mountains. Kayla couldn't bring herself to look away, craning her neck up to watch the mountains as the banshees peacefully fly through them without much effort. She even took a moment of awe to lean forward and feel the mist of a nearby waterfall as they flew by.
The winds change and the ikran shift their wings ever so slightly, gliding sharply among the sky's current and forcing Kayla to hang on for dear life. They float higher than before and Kayla realizes that among the mountains were vast cave systems, all connected and large enough to carry cargo ships. The banshees slap their wings to slow their descent, landing at the mouths of the caves. Makayla is dragged off and her bonds are cut away. Rubbing her aching wrists, she looks around, cautious when she noticed more Na'vi than ever before, glaring as they walk past her to greet the returning war party. Various shapes and sizes of tents and huts line up around the cave walls, an entire clan of Na'vi shuffling past one another, breathing together as they went about their day.
Kayla nearly jumps out of her new blue skin when a hand claps down on her shoulder. Spinning her head around and pulling away, she doesn't even relax when she realized the hand belonged to Jake as he finally caught up with her. He draws his hand away when she flinched and proceeded to nod to the entire campground, "Welcome to High Camp. I'll introduce you to the Omatikaya."
A gathering of Na'vi begins to swarm around the returning troupe, especially around Makayla. Even though she had more layers on, she felt the most vulnerable, even compared to an infant she caught sight of, snuggled in a tight frontal wrap at its mother's breast. How a baby felt more secure in that than Kayla in her red-brown crop top and cargo shorts could easily stem from how the Na'vi people glared at her but fond over the child. Their looks of scrutiny alone made Kayla feel as though she was the child.
"Mama! Daddy!"
Kayla's head spun in the direction of a child calling out to her parents, spotting a young Na'vi girl, easily the same height as her hip, come running toward the war party. Her heartbeat nearly stops, however, when that child jumps into the arms of her parents, who are none other than Jake and Neytiri, and they happily embrace her.
"Tuk." Neytiri hummed with relief, closing her eyes in contentment as she held her daughter's head to her body.
Jake placed a gentle hand on the top of the little girl's head of short, braided hair while kissing the side of her temple, "Did ya give your brother a hard time?"
"Nope! We made a necklace for Grandmother today."
"Really? You'll have to show me later." He smiles warmly at Tuk, keeping her close to him and Neytiri even when her mother set her down. Jake looks through the crowd, eyes dancing around in search of someone before calling out in his marine voice, "Alright, Sullys! Fall in!"
Makayla watched as three other Na'vi children emerge from the crowd, though they stood at the height Kayla imagined Na'vi teenagers would be, significantly taller than Tuk but still shorter than their parents. One of the teenagers, the only other girl, lifts her arms and Tuk wordlessly clings to her side. The teenage girl also bore short hair, but it was unbraided and wilder than her sister's. There was a significant change in appearance between the two girls. One of them, Tuk, had the identifiable features of the Na'vi. Big eyes, no eyebrows, and only four digits on each hand. The older one, who Kayla assumed must be Kiri, bore smaller eyes, eyebrow hair, and five digits on each hand. Kiri and Tuk watch Makayla curiously, tilting their heads and even smiling sweetly at her.
The boys, however, are a different story. One was taller and clearly older, with the typical Na'vi features. The other was shorter and bore the features inherited by his father, fingers and all, much like Kiri. Kayla had clocked the younger boy right away. He had been the closest to resembling Jake's avatar form... but there was something about the way he held himself that gave Kayla a sense of déjà vu. Maybe it was the furrow of his eyebrows or the small frown on his lips, but a small part of Kayla recognized the human side of Jake in the boy. Neither he nor his older brother stared at her with kind eyes, like their sisters. They stared at her with caution and perhaps only a dash of awe.
Jake doesn't appear bothered by it as he places his hand back on Kayla's shoulder, nearly making her flinch again, "This is my sister, Makayla. Kayla, this is my oldest son, Neteyam. Our oldest daughter, Kiri. Our youngest son, Lo'ak. And this ball of fire is Tuktirey."
Tuk squealed with laughter when her father crouched down and scooped her up in the air. He placed the young child on his hip while turning to Kayla, smiling between his sister and his daughter while speaking gently to Tuk, "I want you to treat her like family, okay? Because that's what she is. Family."
All four Sully children relax at their father's words, though Neteyam is the last to do so since he had waited for his mother's nod of approval before also softening his gaze at Makayla. But Kayla was not as easy to buy into this new arrangement, finding herself taking a step back as her chest squeezed painfully. Her eyes dart to all the faces around her, not just her newly acquired nieces and nephews. This was all too much, too overwhelming. This had been too much information being dumped on her lap all in one day. It felt like some sort of fever dream that she was desperate to wake from.
Jake observed the way his sister began to close up on herself, eyes darting in several directions as if looking for an exit route. He hands Tuk over to Neytiri and slowly approached Kayla, "Why don't we bring you somewhere that's more familiar, yeah?"
His hand grips the back of her neck, squeezing once and Kayla gets the message. She doesn't have a choice even though Jake isn't ordering her. She moves forward with Jake right behind her, using the hand on her neck to guide her through the crowd of Na'vi, who part like the Red Sea for her and her brother. She keeps her eyes forward, timid, her jaw tight and her teeth grinding together uncomfortably, but Kayla refuses to show any physical signs of discomfort apart from gripping her hands tightly in front of her. Jake guides her away from the crowd and his family, all the while dread takes its place in Kayla's strong bones. Despite having a newfound family, they were all strangers to her, and she could feel those strangers' eyes all searing into the back of her skull as she walked away.
After a bit of walking through the camp and seeing the strange sights of Omatikaya life, Kayla discovers something familiar that Jake no doubt wanted her to see. Humans. Humans, avatars, exo-packs, and the topping on the cake was the inflatable but clearly man-made biolab trailer sitting at the edge of the Omatikaya's various campsites throughout the linked cave system. Standing outside, hands on his hips, was a human man waiting for the Sully siblings. He stood tall for a human, but clearly couldn't hold a candle to a fully grown Na'vi. Beaming behind his breathing mask, he waved them over.
Jake let go of his sister and stepped around Kayla, holding out an arm in the man's direction, "Kayla, this is Dr. Norm Spellman. Norm, this is my sister, Makayla."
Kayla didn't hesitate to shake the human's hand when he offered it up to her, already calming down at the familiar hand gesture of human customs. Norm smiled up at her, "Pleasure to meet you. Do you prefer Makayla or Kayla?"
"Kayla, if you don't mind."
"You got it. It's nice to finally meet you. I, uh... I knew your other brother. Tommy. We went through avatar training together."
Her eyes briefly widen before shrinking back to normal size. Well, at least normal for an avatar, "Oh."
"Yeah. I'm sorry about his passing."
"Thanks."
Norm nods to Jake before standing off to the side, gesturing for Kayla to follow him, "Let me show you around and introduce you to the others."
Kayla firmly nods, only briefly glancing back at Jake before leaving him behind, dutifully following Norm. He first brings her to a large, Na'vi-made tent that loomed off to the side of the inflatable trailer. Kayla later learns that the tent is called a marui as Norm points it out to her,
"So this is the Longhouse. This is where the avatars are stored and monitored when not in use. That's where you'll be sleeping."
Kayla nods, "Where do you keep the link gurneys?"
"Right this way," He walks toward the trailer, taking the steps up to the front door before turning to her, nearly standing at her height now with the help of the steps, "It'll be a tight squeeze for you in this form so take your time."
Norm turns back around and opens the door, closing it behind him to quickly take off his mask in the depressurized room before opening the opposite door into the lab, closing the door behind him, and waiting for Makayla. He was right after all. It was definitely a tight fit for her in a grown Na'vi woman's body. Kayla was crouching the whole way through the depressurized room, having difficulty closing the door behind her before entering the lab. Norm had waited patiently for her, smiling in sympathy when watching the way her entire body was hunched over in order to fit. He holds out his arm to her, and it's only then did she notice a separate rebreather in his hand, "Here's your breathing mask."
She mutters a brief 'thanks' while fitting the mask around her mouth, breathing in suitable oxygen meant for the native lifeforms on Pandora before Norm turns around to lead her further into the building, "Welcome to our biolab. Link Bay is over there and over here are our amino tanks."
They make their way over to the link gurneys where another man was stationed at. He was shorter than Norm in build and height, wearing a lab coat and glasses. Looking up, the man smiled and walked forward, "I'm going to take a guess and say that you must be Makayla Sully. Nice to meet you. My name is Dr. Max Patel."
"Pleasure," Kayla repeated automatically, shaking his hand in her overly large one before the three of them continued the tour through the lab together. Kayla had to be careful with her tail and long limbs when shuffling past desks and botanical gardens in small glass test tubes. Long rows of tables held various different stages of research, from files of paper all the way up to large samples taking up the whole end with large leaves and UV light lamps hanging over it.
She got to see the link gurneys and other useful tools she'll likely need as her avatar progresses out here without her human form present, but Kayla was barely paying attention to the tour. Instead, her eyes occasionally wandered to an amino tank in the corner of the lab, out of the way of the scientists' workstations, but it was a tank being closely monitored by various machines. Inside the tank, to her slight terror and curiosity, Kayla realized was another avatar woman, nude and floating soundlessly in the fluids of the imitating womb.
Norm caught her curious gaze wandering over to the side and he wordlessly walks over to the tank, turning back to Kayla while placing a gentle hand against the glass, "And this is Dr. Grace Augustine."
"Her avatar?"
He nods, sober and slightly grim as a shadow passes through his eyes, "It's all that's left of her, apart from her video logs. She died a long time ago in her human body. We're closely monitoring this body to try and get a better understanding of our avatars to see how we work and what limits we can stretch out, such as being able to stay linked to our avatars for days at a time."
"That's what the RDA is trying to test out with me." Both scientists simultaneously turn their heads to her, eyes wide. So Kayla explains to them what she had already told Jake, her mission, and her purpose. The three of them spent a while talking back and forth, asking questions and answering whatever they could. Kayla wasn't a scientist herself, but she tried her best to answer questions about how the RDA intends on testing her avatar and her neural link to its limits. From the look in their eyes, she could tell that Max and Norm were starting to form ideas of their own on how they intended to do the same for their own avatars and riders.
In between their discussion, the two men and woman missed the door outside opening and closing with a soft hiss. Patterns of feet against cold metal floors paddle over to them and Kayla finally catches the sound with a small twitch of her ears.
"What's going on, guys? Who's the newbie?"
Kayla's head turns, looking around before looking down to find a teenage human boy. But for a moment, Kayla couldn't process this because, out of all of the other humans she had seen today, this boy had every aspect of a Na'vi other than the fact he wasn't tall or blue. He was the only human Kayla has seen not wearing normal clothes and was instead sporting leather armbands, beads in his long, blonde dreads, a knife at his hip, and a loincloth similar to Omatikayan fashion. Despite not being Na'vi, he had painted blue stripes all along his body and face, but his eyes were clearly human as he peered up at Kayla with wide, curious brown eyes.
Norm places a hand on the boy before staring up at Kayla, "This is Spider."
The boy, Spider, tilts his chin up as a small greeting, "Hey."
"Hey. Is this your son?" Kayla politely asked Norm. She wouldn't be surprised. Both the scientist and the teenager were roughly the same height.
"Nah," Norm fondly scoffed, lifting the hand on Spider's shoulder to ruffle the teen's dreads, "But we all look after the rugrat."
"Hey, cut it out!" Spider swats at Norm before pulling away to get some distance, fixing his hair in the process. Kayla let out a small snort through her nose, amused at the display.
Norm grins in response to the woman slowly warming up to their new faces, "You'll be seeing plenty of him since he tends to be your nieces' and nephews' shadow."
Spider missed the way Kayla's small smirk fell as he had to replay Norm's words in his head. Glancing between Kayla and Norm, Spider's dreads danced over his shoulders before finally staring up at the female avatar, "Wait, you're Kiri and Lo'ak's aunt?"
This time, Kayla's smile was thin and not as enthusiastic as she does a half wave, "Hi, I'm Kayla. Jake's sister."
"Holy shit," the statement is cut off by Max elbowing Spider's side, then the teen backtracks a little, "Uh, I mean, nice to meet you."
~~~~~~~~~
The communal dinner took place as the sky darkened and the fires ignited. Jake opted out of joining the large crowds of his people in exchange for bringing an extra leaf plate of food over to Kayla. Norm told him where to find her and sure enough, there she was, kicking back in a hammock within the Avatar Longhouse, alone, staring off into space while swinging her leg out to gently rock herself. Her ears perk up at the sound of Jake approaching her without her eyes ever looking away from where she had begun to disassociate. She snaps out of her imagination when the leaf plate is placed in her hands, and she stubbornly chooses to stare down at her food instead of looking at Jake, who situated himself to sit in the hammock beside her.
"What is this?" She asked while poking her food quizzically.
"Teylu. It's protein. And that?" He leans over to point at another part of her plate, "That's Spartan fruit. Try the teylu first. I promise you'll love it. Remember that time we had shrimp as kids?"
"Barely," she muttered, trying to recollect as she picked up the grub with her fingers, "Dad called it 'gold nuggets' or something like that since shrimp was hard to come by. I think that was also the last time we had it."
"This is better. Trust me."
His grin only widens as she took a tiny bite, pauses, then goes back for seconds. He didn't miss the way her eyes widen and her ears perk up before eating the entire grub and then grabbing another from her plate. Jake breathes out a small laugh, "See?"
"It's... sweet."
"And savory. It's one of my favorites. Try the fruit next. It's refreshing," he barely ate any dinner himself, too amused when watching his sister try out the new flavors. He mostly sat in silence as she ate, and waited to talk only after she was close to finishing, "Hungry?"
"I've been eating rations while I'm out here, and they don't exactly have five-star restaurants on the building to-do list back at Bridgehead."
He hisses through his teeth in sympathy, remembering those days with a pained expression, "Yeah... I don't care what they advertise. Those protein bars were shit. So did you enjoy the tour?"
Kayla takes a moment to look around, remembering where she was before stating, "It's a refugee camp."
It wasn't an insult or a compliment. It was a blunt observation. Jake nods solemnly, "I know. For now, this is all we can do."
She shrugged, "Overall, it's a good strategic point, I'll give you that. These mountains fuck around RDA's instruments."
"Yeah, that's the point. And it helps that the rogue ikran do most of the work for us if the Sky People try to come here."
"Ikran?"
His lips split into a smile again, "You'll be properly introduced to those tomorrow."
She finally looks directly at his face, frowning in confusion as she reiterates what he said out loud, "Tomorrow."
She repeats the word on her tongue, eyeing her brother carefully. Jake only nods back, not daring to look away, "Yeah."
"I have to go back, Jake."
"I know."
Taken back by his confidence, she scowled in disbelief, "Aren't you worried I'm gonna tell Ardmore where you are?"
He tilts his head, "Should I be?"
She wasn't sure if a simple 'yes' or 'no' would suffice. It was such a loaded question, given the circumstances. Instead, she pulls her rogue leg into the hammock and balances her empty leaf plate on her knees, taking the time to stare at that instead of Jake, "Twenty years is a long time. Long enough for someone to change."
A gust of air escapes his lungs, slightly taken aback, "Jesus-- has it really been that long?"
She snaps her eyes to him, narrowing her yellow irises into a fierce glare, "I was just rounding up. It's been longer than that. Nice of you to notice."
Jake visibly winced, looking away when he couldn't bear to face the heat of Kayla's glare. He knew he deserved that, but it still stung. The tent is met with silence, apart from the songs of insects and the singing and chatter going on at the communal meal echoing in the distance. Sighing mostly to himself, Jake reveals something he had been holding in his hand underneath his own leaf plate, leaning back over to place the item in her hands, "... Here."
Kayla feels the cool, familiar feeling of dog tags being placed in the palm of her hand. Without asking, she knew what they were and who they belonged to, but she shifted her eyes to stare down at the identification letters and numbers anyway.
It felt as though a weight had been lifted from Jake's shoulders as he let go of his dog tags, carefully watching the way Kayla held the chain in her hand, "In case you would rather go home and just bury that beside Tommy. Otherwise, come back tomorrow. I promise I'll make it up to you."
And with that, he stands up, takes the two leaf plates, and exits the marui, leaving Kayla alone to her thoughts. She juggles the dog tags for a bit, pondering as the night grows later and her eyelids begin to droop. Looking around the empty tent again, she takes her time to stare at each of the empty hammocks meant for the avatars. For the moment, she's alone, just as she has always been whether at Bridgehead or exploring the world of Pandora. If she stays up any longer, she'll be greeted by the other avatars, returning for dinner and getting ready for bed. A part of her wondered if reporting this to Ardmore would even be worth it, knowing that all this would go away with one swift attack and Kayla would be left alone again. All those people her brother introduced to her today would be gone, and part of Kayla's conscience knows that the guilt would just eat her up from the inside out, despite not caring too much for these new faces. With that in mind, Kayla pocketed the dog tags and leaned back in her hammock, trying to relax her mind. Taking a deep breath, she closes her eyes and drifts off.
What felt like mere moments was actually a half-hour later, Kayla's eyes opened and the first thing she sees is the inside roof of her link bay instead of the ceiling of the avatar tent. It was dark aside from the soft glow of the memory gel softly hugging her significantly smaller body or the blinking lights of the neural induction probes acting as stars above her. Kayla wiggled around uncomfortably, noting that she no longer had a tail and her attire was more appropriate for an officer than an avatar. Finally, the lid of her link bay lifts, and Kayla sighs in relief, pushing away the censor cage from her torso and lifting herself up into a sitting position with a soft groan. Bringing her hands up, she rubs her face in exhaustion, trying to shake away the sleep as the scan head ring powers down, cutting off the link while a scientist comes around to check on her vitals. Blinking and looking down, Kayla feels a small wave of relief when her five fingers come back looking the appropriate color, pale and speckled with the occasional mole. She's not surprised that Ardmore is also there when she looked up, but Kayla still feels dread at the sight of her, regardless. The general is standing in attendance at the end of Kayla's link bay, as still as a statue, with her hands behind her back.
Like her eyes, her words are cold, "Anything to report?"
"No, ma'am. Nothing." Kayla shakes her head, using her hair as an excuse to look away while running her fingers through her locks to tame it. She didn't know why the lie fell so easily from her lips, but when she finally looked up to stare back at Ardmore, she doesn't feel an ounce of regret and kept her facial expressions close to empty.
Ardmore only nods, once, "Is the avatar safe?"
"Yes, ma'am. Hiding in a tree."
"Those savages are known to climb like monkeys in those trees. You better hope your avatar is still there when you get back."
"Yes, ma'am. I'll relocate for the next log-off."

Masterlist
Tumblr media
It has been almost a week since you’ve been at Nat’s house and it’s the only thing you can think about. Screw school, screw maths, she’s the one to plague your mind all the time.
Despite your recently discovered ability in maths, thanks to Nat’s advice, you’re not able to solve any of the exercises given by your professor, as your mind keeps wandering to anything but school appropriate thoughts. You decide to take a break and check your phone, when you notice a message from Nat, making you bolt up and open it immediately.
“Down for another lesson tomorrow?”
“Of course!”
You feel pure giddiness when you ask her to come to your house, which will be all to yourselves thanks to your parents being away for the next two days, and she accepts in no time.
She offers to drive you home the next day, so you can immediately start working on more stuff. Again, you really have to focus on the tutoring part, but it has gotten a bit more complicated since the events at her house, making it harder and harder for you to not look at her and want to kiss her on the spot, so you obviously hope for a similar outcome this time as well.
You decide to tease her a bit and send her a picture of you trying to do your maths homework, subtly showing a bit of your cleavage as well, making you chuckle when you see her immediately read the message but take a couple minutes to answer with a simple
“Good job :)” followed by a “Can’t wait to help you out again...”. You bite your lip a little bit at her reply, knowing what she means. If only she knew what was to come the next day..
That night you go to bed after looking back at her goodnight text and, when you close your eyes, you see snippets of red hair dancing behind your eyelids.
Unbeknownst to you, Nat was still freaking out at the exchange you previously had, not being used to flirting in any way, the reason why she reluctantly had to accept her sister’s help. Yes, Yelena was the one to willingly help her out, hoping for her sister to stop acting like a love struck idiot and stop getting on her nerves. Despite everything, Nat ends up very happy with the conversation she managed to have with you, making her go to bed happy while thinking about you as well.
The next day couldn’t pass by more slowly, you just want to leave this hell of a place to go home with Nat!
When the last bell rings you are on your feet and out in the parking lot in no time, instantly spotting a tall red head leaning on her car while on the phone. How the hell is she so hot all the freaking time? As you reach her she greets you and asks you if you’re ready to leave, getting in the car when you basically plead her to take you away from here.
The drive to your house is quiet and full of stolen glances between each other.
When she suddenly feels your hand resting on her thigh you notice her squirming a bit in her seat, keeping her eyes glued to the road while you try not to smirk at the state she’s already in. When you understand that she’ll never make a move, you fully look at her and lean in her ear to whisper in it and tell her to pull over, slowly inching your hand higher on her thigh, making her let out a trembling breath.
As soon as she takes a turn, stops the car and turns off the engine, you unbuckle your belt and move to straddle her in her seat, desperately kissing her to relieve all the pent up desire you have for her and that you’ve had to keep to yourself for the past few days. She apparently feels the same, as she holds you tight against her as if not being able to ever let you go. As she moves her hands down to your ass while you frantically kiss each other, you feel in a deja vu, remembering how good you felt thanks to her the last time you were together. When you try to break the kiss to tell her to move, her lips travel down and start sucking the skin of your sweet spot, making it almost impossible for you to concentrate on the words you’re trying to let out.
“Nat, get on the backseat I wanna eat you out”
At your panting words she pulls back and looks at you stunned and, when you desperately say “please”, she just nods, giving you the green light and making you move away from her to let her climb in the back, where you join her.
As you kiss again you push her shoulders, making her lie down as best as she can, while you lift her shirt a bit to leave small kisses over her surprisingly very defined abs. As you reach the hem of her pants you look up at her with big eyes and ask her if she wants this, to which she immediately responds with a breathless yes, making you smile and get to work.
You sit back on your calves and unbuckle her belt, unbutton her pants and pull down her zipper all while looking at her reactions and smirking at her when she looks at your face. When you start to slowly pull down her pants you kiss her abs once again and let out a small moan when you see the boxers she’s wearing, making you even more desperate to please her. Despite your need to taste her, you try your hardest to tease her as much as you can, determined to get her to completely break, so you lower your head towards her centre, with your ass in the air because of the limited space, and lightly kiss her inner thighs, occasionally giving a soft bite here and there, loving the way you can hear her breath quickening with each small nip on her soft skin.
When you reach her clothed core you very lightly kiss her through her underwear and let out a whimper when you feel her hand on the back of your head.
Being unable to hold back anymore, you swiftly take off her boxers and immediately dive in, licking her centre from her entrance all the way to her clit, before starting to play with it with your tongue, trying different patterns to figure out what she likes more, feeling a shiver run through your body when she loudly groans
“Shit, keep going like that”
Hearing her so engulfed by the pleasure you’re giving her makes you more determined to get her to feel as good as you can.
While you pay some attention to her clit, you see her closing her eyes, getting closer and closer to her peak, so you suck it between your lips to further stimulate it, not feeling like edging her for your first time. As she roughly grabs your hair and keeps you in place you let out a loud moan, making her buckle her hips at your voice’s vibrations on her core, which only makes the ache between your legs worsen. So you sneak your hand between your legs and try to rub your clit as much as you can in the awkward position, thankful that you’ve chosen to wear a skirt, giving you better access to your centre.
When she opens her eyes once again and sees you like this, with your hair in her hand, desperately pleasing her and with a hand between your legs, she completely loses it and abruptly feels her orgasm wash over her, making her tense and pull your hair even tighter.
Seeing her lose control like that, seeing her feeling such intense pleasure, is a sight that makes you moan out loud against her core and feel even more desperate for this girl who you’ve only started talking to a week before. You really don’t think you’ll be able to stay away from her from now on.
When her breathing gets more regular and her core more sensitive, she gently pushes your shoulder to ask you to stop and, as you pull away with glistening lips and messy hair, a shiver runs down her body, even more so when she sees you licking as much of her slick off your lips and smile as you lean back over her to kiss her, making her moan when she tastes herself on your tongue.
When you pull back you simply kiss her on the cheek and on the lips again, before moving back to the front seat, waiting for her to get dressed and grinning as you hear her taking a deep breath before pulling her boxers and pants back up.
After she climbs back to the driver’s seat she turns her head and looks at you
“You actually are good at giving head”
The way she says it simply makes you laugh out loud, before you lovingly look back at this girl you’ve started talking to a week ago.

It's human nature to gain or lose hope when you see Netflix socials promoting Byler or Midleven, but we've gotta pull back the curtain to see the full picture.
First, always remind yourself that the Stranger Things team and Netflix are completely separate entities. Netflix is the vehicle the ST team are driving their story on, but they're not the same people who actually create it. They get little to no say in what the ST writers write.
I say 'little' because the bones of each season will have been greenlit by select Netflix higher-ups (with NDA's signed). But if the Stranger Things team want Storyline A, and Netflix were to say no, what about Storyline B? Then the ST team are absolutely capable of standing their ground and not moving. Perhaps some compromises can be made, but the final say will be down to how stubborn the ST writers can be. This was made apparent by the Duffer Brothers’ open stance on the writing and acting strikes, which directly opposed Netflix. It mattered to them that in the future, writers will continue to have control over their work. That Netflix can't just weasel out of their contracts with shows and write their own endings with AI. Right now, Netflix provide funding, connections, and a platform to host stories on. The ST team provide their content, the original idea, the heart and soul. It's a mutually beneficial relationship.
When it comes to promoting stuff on social media, we have several teams working separately. This leads to exchanges like this from the Netflix Tudum event:
Tumblr media
This is two completely different social media teams interacting with each other. Most important to remember though - right now, the Netflix social media team won't know anything about Season 5. The earliest they may be told anything important will be at the start of the Season 5 promotional campaigns, but even then, it's not a given. NDA's will be in effect at Netflix right up until the bitter end. The social media people will be working in tandem with the marketing team, all of them given set content or working under guidelines when told what they can promote/ talk about.
Secondly, they're just ordinary people doing their job. When it comes to liking comments or replying to them, it will all differ depending on which person happens to be logged into the Netflix account at that time.
For ST5, it looks like Dana and Chris are two Senior Social Media Managers at Netflix US:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But look at all the related connections, and you begin to realise just how many people make up these social media teams (and marketing, which is related). And remember, this is just Netflix US - not the ST team.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So just think about how each person has their own opinions, has their own views on the show. How many of these people might ship Byler? How many ship Midleven? I bet they have their own interpersonal work politics behind the scenes, hoping their idealised ending is the right one.
My point is, there's no point freaking out about this occuring underneath Netflix US's recent post about ST S5:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All this shows is that we have a Midleven shipper in the social media team. After Season 4, a lot of people got excited at this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But again, all this indicates is that we also have a potential Byler shipper in the Netflix UK team. It's just as pointless getting happy and excited about pro-Byler stuff on there, as it is to get worried or upset about pro-Midleven stuff.

so, I work at a farmers market on the weekends and sometimes I work next to this lady who sells frozen fish for her and her husband's company. she is a ship captain, has been a commercial fisherman for much of her life, and is a very independent and all around rad lady. the reason I have become obsessed with her recently is because she talks to me. a lot. she overshares constantly and I love it. here's a list of things I have learned about this 33 year old lady at the market:
- she plays volleyball with her friends for fun (but it's kinda serious)
- she has crippling social anxiety but she doesn't know that so she consistently describes the symptoms of social anxiety and asks me if I think she's crazy
- she says "I still need to figure out what I want to be when I grow up" about four or five times a day, she says this in a heartbreakingly somber tone
- she has nightmares about murder and serial killers constantly, the only media she consumes is true crime
- she has a secret love of heavy metal music that she sheepishly confessed to me and was delighted when I told her that I love metal too
- one weekend she came to the market hungover and suffered through it the entire day, she now refers to this event as "the great hangover" when talking to me about it
- she is the man of the house, she didn't tell me that, it's just obvious
- her million-dollar-idea that she pitched to me last weekend was omega fish supplements for people who struggle with seasonal depression
- she introduced me as her little pal to her actual friends that come by at the market
- after I told her about a customer I had who was being transphobic and generally mean to me, she told me that next time I should just tell her and she'll fight them for me
- it was too cold last week so she had to wear her "onesie" which was a very fancy pair of carhartt coveralls, she was clearly embarrassed about it but felt she had no choice given the temperature, her demeanor changed when I told her I thought it looked cute, but she became embarrassed again when I told hed that her collar was folded in
- I was kinda worried I wouldn't see her again after this last market so I asked if she had any social media we could exchange, I got her instagram and facebook (I know I know but you gotta make sacrifices for the older girlies in your life) and she said "I'll send you funny instagrams!!!" before we parted ways
for most of the market day she just vents to me endlessly about the things that she finds confusing and scary about adult life and the injustices in the world. girly is a nervous wreck and I love her dearly

Speculations and theories after 16th episode of King-Ohger
A new episode and a new theory! Or rather expanding on previous ones. Or even more accurately, in my case, adding new ingredients to the soup of ideas and speculations
So in the latest episode of King-Ohger (16th) we learned that the culprit behind the Wrath of Gods was actually identified and they are being held captive by the previous Supreme Judge (or whatever Rita's title is). The whole thing involved the Queen to fake her death and guard the cultprit for 15 years, while her husband takes the blame for killing her and spends said 15 years in prison and they leave the responsibility of ruling Gokkan to a 10-year-old Rita. They went with all those measures, because apparently, the crime committed cannot be judged by law (or sth like that). Well, causing a world-wide disaster and slaughtering lots of people seems like something that would easily get you a life sentence or even a death penalty, without going through all of that trouble, which means that this case can't possibly be that simple. Not only the guilt can't be clearly stated, but also, the case itself requires secrecy
Now, we've been given various glipses of information about the Wrath of Gods throughout the episodes, but during narration Jerami mentioned some interesting detail. He said that after the fated event, all the countries became dependant on Shugoddom. Now that we think about what we've got so far, it all makes sense. Rita and Himeno were just little children, N'kosopa was just a ruin at the time, used as a scrap heap of Shugoddom (as Yanma said). Meanwhile, Racules would be around 16 years old at the time and prepared to rule all his life, so it feels natural that he would take the lead in the world after the Wrath. The only exception being Kaguragi and Toufu. Kaguragi was in similar age as Racules and since he managed to lead a rebellion against the previous ruler, he clearly has leadership skills. But then, what is the very next thing that happens between Toufu and Shugoddom? Kaguragi secures help for Toufu in form of Demi-Shugods from Shugoddom in exchange for his own sister! Now, the only ruler that could potentially rival with Racules has become his puppet! Seems a little too convenient, doesn't it?
Let's go back to Shugoddom for a moment. So far, other kingdoms had rather clear themes. N'kosopa creates technology, Ishabana's domain are medicine and art, Toufu is all about agriculture and providing food and Gokkan is essentially an international prison colony, but Shugoddom was quite puzzling for the fanbase as to what does it do exactly? Sure, we've known it's the first kingdom or that it's aesthetic theme are gears and so on, but until recently we couldn't exactly figure out what could they provide to the other kingdoms. Now we know that Shugoddom's primary export goods are their Demi-shugods, like the snails and spiders traded for Suzume, those flying little TVs or pillbug taxi. This brings us back to the Wrath of the Gods, as Himeno mentioned that Shugoddom didn't send their demi-shugods to help them. And, of course, there is that gigantic swarm of cicadas
One can already see where this is going. Yes, indeed. I suspect that King Red killed with poison in Ishabana! (They're all even colour coded, anyway...) Previous king of Shugoddom and Gira and Racules' father, despite not showing up in the show so far at all nor being discussed by the characters, already has his name - Corsus Hastie - revealed back from the times when the show was just starting. Now that we know that not all previous kings are dead and could show up in the show, this could point to the relevance of the character to the story.
Before we'll go to his potential motives of let's go through means. As we know, Shugoddom produces demishugods, so if anyone could produce the swarm of cicadas, someone important in Shugoddom would be the best bet (unless it's some ancient army that layed dormant for years or sth). But he'd also need GodScorpion's venom. As we know, Sasorine's soul was in Gokkan, but the Shugod itself was called by Gira in Shugoddom. In episode 13 or so, Himeno wants Gira to communicate with Scopi, but he's unable to reach it in Ishabana, and he only hears the Greater Shugods underneath Shugoddom. This suggests that GodScorpion has been lying underneath Shugoddom the whole time and if so, even without the soul, King Corsus didn't have very far from the Shugod if he wanted to gather the venom for his purposes. The problematic would be actually going underground and knowing that GodScorpion is there in the first place. That's where the Bugnarok comes in! We saw them store the Greater Guardian Deities at their HQ and Gira sensing them under Shugoddom. Also, when Jerami emerges out of Bugnarok hiding place, he makes his first appearance in Shugoddom. This suggests that Bugnarok's main base lies right under Shugoddom (unless they have more than one and/or network of tunnels leading to every kingdom, but at least them sitting under Shugoddom is confirmed). That makes any potential cooperation between Shugoddom and Bugnarok far more convenient
But if he really was the one behind the Wrath of Gods, what would his reasons be? Of course, he could have simply wanted to seize the other kingdoms, but if his motive was simply conquest, then his conviction would be rather simple as well, wouldn't it? Unless the reason would be sth like not wanting for a conflict to break out between the kingdoms, but that's rather doubtful, imo. Far more probable, imo, would be if he had some good intentions behind his actions, but it still wouldn't justify, even slightly, what he bought upon the world, because whatever he was aiming at, sacrificing some people to make it better for others is completely unjust, as the other group could have lived just fine as they were and thus the improvement would have been just a whim and not a necessity. But what if it was? What if he sacrificed one group of people to save another one? Here we'd have a typical trolley problem
If, let's say, Bugnarok managed to plant giant cacoons (like the ones in episode 10) under every major city of Shugoddom and threaten to blow them up, destroying the whole kingdom? For example, of course. We already know that Bugnarok waited 2000 years not because they were dormant or anything like that, but because they were following Jerami's prophecy. Nothing prevents them from preparing for the foretold year. As we know, their hideout is right under Shugoddom so they could have prepared it without a problem and going to the King to blackmail him would be just a short trip as well. Add to that any of the variants of "Bugnarok meddles within Shugoddom court" theories and the king would find himself backed into a corner
Now, I don't know how would they possibly solve a threat like this in the show nor why wouldn't Bugnarok just do it with all of the kingdoms, but regardless of what the threat is exactly, it can't be really judged in an indisputable matter. As a king of Shugoddom, his duty would require him to save his people, even if it means dirtying his hands, as Kaguragi would say. On the other hand, he killed many other people to achieve that and it can't just go unpunished. What's more, revealing the threat will not only cause a mass panic among the population and may provoke the Bugnarok to fullfill the threat. Even if they don't if the king returns, they might just force him to do another horrible thing
With the king gone, the judgement remains unresolved and Bugnarok is left with no one to further blackmail. Well, except Racules who would become the new king. The question is, why wouldn't they blackmail him back at the time? Ah, yes, the prophecy that foretold Bugnarok's return 15 later. But then, why would Corsus have to disappear? Or maybe the disappearance wasn't something he planned, but was caught by the Gokkan crew? That being said, Racules being left with the country to govern, surrounded by Bugnarok spies would be hard enough, so having to also take care of his younger brother who could be used as another way to blackmail him would be exhausting
Here into play comes Gira's kidnapping. The reason why his very existance was erased, being that the information of his kidnapping would bring dishonour to the royal family always sounded like a bullshit excuse. If the situation described above would take place, though, Gira disappearing from the castle would not only ensure Gira's safety and lighten Racules' burden, it would leave Racules as the only remaining member of the royal family that would be available to Bugnarok. If Bugnarok tried to put a usurper on the throne, they wouldn't have as much support or devotion from the population like the rightful heir to the throne. What's more, power shift could raise people's suspicions and have them speculate on the reasons behind the power shift, risking Bugnarok to be revealed 15 years prematurely. To the equation we should add OhgerCalibur ZERO and King-Ohger ZERO. Those can only be used by someone with the genes of a Hastie family. Racules being the last of his family would make him untouchable to Bugnarok, if they want to make use of KingOhger ZERO
Bugnarok's involvement in Wrath of Gods is rather clear when we see Kamejim being dead-set on eliminating Shiron as soon as he left the prison. Shiron knows far too much and thus should be eliminated. If even he knows as little as who the culprit was, if it truly was Corsus Hastie, it would point everyone towards Shugoddom and could expose Bugnarok's machinations within the kingdom. Then why wouldn't Bugnarok kill him earlier, throughout those 15 years? Could be that they didn't want to draw attention to him, but if he spilled the beans they would be exposed and wouldn't be able to stop him on time. I guess it is possible that prison in Gokkan is just too well-secured to get in there. Sure, we saw Bugnarok break into the castle in episode 5, but it's possible that the cells are extra durant, as to prevent prisoners from digging their way out, and this way making it impossible for Bugnarok to reach
Why bring this up now? Well, if we remember the duel between Hastie brothers, Racules' demand regarding Gira's defeat was for him to be locked up in Gokkan. What's more, Racules thanked Kaguragi for his cooperation with capturing Gira, because if the matter didn't have international nature, Rita wouldn't take care of it. One could question whether Kaguragi was supposed to bring Gira back to Racules and decided to hand him over to Rita on his own accord, but Racules' reaction and the fact that Rita is seen investigating the case even before Gira was finally captured by Kaguragi suggests otherwise. If Shiron remained safely in his cell throughout 15 years, this suggests that so would Gira, yet not only Rita refused to put Gira into a safe cell in Gokkan, she also revealed to everyone Gira's identity as Racules' younger brother, putting both of them in even greater danger than before. No wonder that usually calm Racules lost his cool at that very moment
There are other things about Racules and Shugoddom that are yet to be covered. For example, his alliance with Bugnarok. If Bugnarok infiltrated Shugoddom, why make such a fuss about it? First of all, it's very possible that the infiltrating operation was Kamejim's doing and the meeting was supposed to have Desnarak involved. Another thing would be, that right now Racules' cooperation with Bugnarok is clear to everyone and no one is very surprised because they know that the peace negotiations took place. If they hadn't happen, it could make everyone question how did Shugoddom even manage to contact Bugnarok let alone to convince them to join forces. What's more, in current situation, it's very easy to shift the blame for the invasion on Jerami. After all, it's his silly idea of getting humans and Bugnarok to coexist that led to the disaster, didn't it? And he was the one who introduced Racules and Desnarak to each other! Because, of course, there is no evidence that the two had ever interacted between that very moment, isn't it?
Another yet unsolved mystery of Shugoddom and the Hastie family is GodKuwagata, it remaining dormant for years and Gira waking it up as well as Gira's ability to talk to Shugods. First of all, since we know that Shugoddom is filled with demishugods, can Gira talk to them too, can he only talk to guardian deities or maybe he'd be able to but the demi-shugods just don't talk much? Another thing is, since Shogoddom is literally State of Shugods (Shugod; -dom), could it be possible that whole Hastie family has that ability? After all, Racules still remains an enigma and he keeps his cards hidden, given above specultions, even from his closest coworkers. Maybe the ability to talk to shugods is related to the very same part of their genes that provides them with the red marks on their right temple and allows them to operate KingOhger ZERO?
But back to Kuwagon. When Gira manages to awaken it, Racules reacts by saying that it's impossible. He isn't shown to be accompanied by anyone, so we can assume that wasn't part of his act to keep Gira's identity hidden. This, together with the fact that GodKuwagata has been dormant for many years, suggests that Racules was genuinely surprised and didn't have an idea of what has happened. Again, if the theory above would turn out to be correct, it would mean that Racules has known about Bugnarok in Shogoddom's royal court, about Wrath of the Gods and circumstances of Gira's kidnapping. He's always seemed like he knows much more than other kings. He also seemed to recognize Jerami when he first appeared and Jerami's mention of history before the Great War seemed to mapke him realise something, but awakaning of Kuwagon seemed to be a surprise even for him. Again, Bugnarok weren't dormant themselves, they only waited 2000 years to reemerge because of Jerami's prophecy and thus they were able to still act and make their moves and preparations during that time. Imo, it's not impossible that the Bugnarok moles have been residing in Shugoddom for centuries. Maybe they were even the ones behind God Kuwagata going dormant or the fact that it's the only Guardian Deity without its soul being located within its cockpit
Another thing to speculate on is Suzume, she's been in Caucasus Kabuto Castle for 15 years already. I'm very curious on what did she learn over that time and what her relationship with Racules really is. Could she be in on the whole thing as well? Maybe they somehow cooperate together under Bugnarok's noses? It's worthto mention, that it's most likely thanks to her why Kaguragi decided to surrender Toufu to Racules and seeing what is about to happen in N'kosopa next week, I wouldn't be surprised if it was deliberate action to spare Toufu the same fate
What comes to mind are also flashbacks of Racules and Yanma working together in the past, contrasted with Yanma being now the one who opposes Racules the most. Coincidentally, he is the one that wasn't appointed as the ruler right after the events of the Wrath of Gods and he is the one who broke off from under Racules' leadership over the Quintet Alliance. Could Racules have done something to set Yanma against him? I mean, he sure had to, but did he do it on purpose? After all, (again, according to speculations above) the Wrath of Gods was specifically engineered to have all the other kingdoms to fall under Shogoddom's influence, that was by now in Bugnarok's grip. We remember how easy it was for Kaguragi to manipulate others in episode 4 as long as he ticked the correct boxes. Yanma and his drive to always emerge on top, as well as circumstances of his raise to power would make him the perfect target to sabotage the Alliance, if such necessity would occure. And if Alliance being led by Racules was orchestrated by the Bugnarok themselves, then it makes it quite possible that Racules purposefully discouraged Yanma towards himself, to sabotage Bugnarok's efforts. (Or maybe Yanma is on it as well? Though I doubt it)
That being said, I love all the little pieces we've been getting throughout the show and how such a complex intrigue is forming right in front of our eyes! I can't wait to see next episode and to finally see Racules back in action and working with Bugnarok, nonetheless. Many people already pointed out that Racules' evil mannerism from the preview resemble Gira's. Of course, that brings back suspicion that the two brothers used to play the exact same way as Gira did with kids in the orphanage, just with Racules playing the role of the Evil King, instead. I can't wait for more to be revealed and to see how the events unfold and what will the upcoming episodes bring to the table
Summary (speculations, not confirmed, major points)
Bugnarok has infiltrated Shugoddam's royal court over 15 years ago
Corsus Hastie, previous king of Shugoddom and Racules and Gira's father, is the culprit behind events of the Wrath of the Gods
He was forced to do so by the Bugnarok that infiltrated his kingdom and that's why judging his crime is such a difficult matter
Gira was taken from the royal court and erased from records for his own safety
Racules is in on everything: Bugnarok infiltrators, Wrath of the Gods etc.
Racules tried to imprison Gira in Gokkan to keep him safe like Shiron
Racules is forced to cooperate with Bugnark just like his father was

Ok ok- this post is gonna be me talking about my thoughts about the new game and such.
I will be honest, a big reason I haven’t been writing is bc I’ve been burnt out with Obey Me bc of the direction of the writing, but this game makes me really hopeful.
I’ve seen some people say that they think this will be a pre-mc game and that Solomon will be the MC, but I don’t see them going that direction. Solmare’s whole thing is otome games and I think a big draw Obey Me had/has is that self insert element. However, I definitely think Solomon will play a much bigger role in the game.
I think the game is going to be a series reboot.
long post w spoilers below the cut
Here’s why:
Obey Me is a lot more successful than many other of Solmare’s ips. This isn’t to say their other games don’t have fans, but Obey Me is definitely a lot larger. I don’t think they were expecting Obey Me to get this big when they were initially writing the story.
I think when the game first blew up, Solmare probably resorted right to pushing more of that fan service and provided quantity over quality to make fans happy, which I get it, it’s an otome game and a lot of us like fanservice. But I think they realized it’s a lot harder to write when you’re trying to please everyone at once and it’s a lot harder to maintain consistent fans.
Gacha games get a lot of their funding off of whales. I will be honest, I used to whale in Obey Me. I had the money and tbh, I was very impulsive. I have not opened the game since the anniversary and before the anniversary, I had not opened it in months. And I imagine many other people who are still fans have been doing the same.
I think Solmare realized this and has been trying to fix it (e.g., having events focus more on one character as opposed to shoving every character possible in there), but with the way the main story is structured, there isn’t much more they can do to make it flow well.
I think the story will definitely involve RAD and the exchange program, we can see Thirteen in the trailer at RAD.
Tumblr media
Image taken from @animepikagirl
Solmare has also been very good about listening to the options of fans (compared to a lot of other companies of the same genre) and I know a lot of fans have been very vocal about being disappointed in recent stories and the lack of character development.
As much as it pains me to say, I think Satan is the best example of how poorly they’ve handled their characters. The poor man has been flanderized to hell and back. Compared to his season 1 self which talked about his love of cats while still giving him a personality and exploring his psyche, and you’ll see that it’s been reduced down to him purely loving cats. Even as early as season 2, he started really getting reduced down to that (e.g., the reaper’s cave. It was a funny season where he pet the trap cat and wasn’t the worst example, but I think it highlights when the writing started to go downhill). I think they realized the flanderizing has become a major issue and want to avoid it in the new series. I may be biased because Satan is my favorite character, but he was name dropped in the hints.
Another character that I think they will probably want to do better with is Asmodeus. Given that he’s pactmates with Solomon and Solomon was name dropped in the hints, I think he will also play a much bigger role in the story. Obey Me has done fuck all with Asmo despite him having the potential to be one of the most uniquely written characters. @/Neocoded has a lot of posts about how Obey Me has fucked Asmo fans over with it’s frankly poor writing and tbh, they also have a lot of posts that talk about the really cool potential Asmo could have as a character if handled correctly.
Overall, I’m very hopeful that this new game is going to be Solmare showing that they’ve learned from the writing mistakes they made in Obey Me:SWD. I think now that they have a bigger budget and likely bigger team, they’ll be able to invest more in the quality of their content to maintain their fanbase better. I’ve been playing this game for 3 years this month, I started playing 2 months after launch. This series is still very special to me but I want to see it improve instead of settling for frankly mediocre writing. This is not meant to bash any of the writers or Solmare, but is simply my honest opinion in how the quality of the writing tanked after season 1 and how I believe this new game will be Solmare showing the fanbase that they want to take the franchise in a new direction.

Lesson 20.5
Author's Note: So, season two. A great follow up to season one as far as I am concerned. However, there is one issue that I have with the original version, which is that Diavolo (and to a lesser extent Solomon) keeps very important information away from MC until the last possible second. For those who have gone through the season, you'll know what I'm talking about.
So, the reason for this "half-lesson" is so that I can resolve this issue that I have with the original season. Obviously, you do not have to accept this into your personal canon if you don't want to.
With that out of the way, the half-lesson is below the cut.
Diavolo
It's been a rather boring day. There's been so much paperwork that has needed my attention that Barbatos has practically chained me to my office chair so that I can complete it in a timely fashion. Don't worry; I told him to do everything in his power to make sure I didn't get distracted. Plus, he has provided food and drink at reasonable intervals, and he has instructed me to stretch every so often.
So, when Barbatos enters my office, I think nothing of it. However, that changes quickly when he states,
"My lord, you might want to hear this." Before I have a chance to reply, he pulls out his D.D.D. and taps his screen a few times. Once he's done, a voice message begins playing.
Hi, Barbatos. This is MC. I'm not sure if you'll get this message, given that I'm in an entirely different realm, but if you do, please call me back as soon as possible. There are catastrophic things happening in the human world, and I think I might be causing them.
"I take it that MC trumps paperwork?" I ask. Barbatos nods his head. Wordlessly, he taps his screen a couple more times, and soon I can hear ringing emanating from the phone.
"Would it be offensive for me to say 'thank god'?" MC asks from the other end of the line.
"Not in this context, no," Barbatos answers. "You are on speaker."
"Who's with you?"
"I am," I respond. "Barbatos and I are in my office."
"I see," MC replies. "I know you and I aren't exactly on the best of terms, but I really need your help. I figured you were busy, hence why I called Barbatos."
"Just doing paperwork. So, what exactly is going on?" MC sighs.
"I've been having nightmares. They don't allow me to get much rest. I feel like a zombie."
"What are they about?" Barbatos asks.
"I don't know for sure, since I'm not able to see much other than bright flashes of light. I always end up feeling enraged during these nightmares, and there's a lot of yelling that occurs."
"That doesn't sound pleasant," I tell MC.
"At first, I thought that maybe it was a side effect of medicine I've been taking, but then I've noticed a pattern. There's been an increase of natural disasters that have occurred in the human world. On the days that those disasters get reported, I've had that nightmare the previous night."
"Forgive me for saying this, MC, but that could just be coincidence," Barbatos states.
"Not when it's happened over 50 times. I've kept track. I have three notebooks full."
"Of just events in the human world?"
"Not exactly. There's plenty of nights that I've had that exact dream, but nothing gets reported. So, initially I had your reaction, but then I realized that there are two other realms that could be affected as well." Barbatos and I exchange glances. There has been an uptick in unexplained phenomena that has been occurring in the Devildom recently. In fact, that's what a fair chunk of this paperwork is about.
"Do you have those notebooks near you?" I ask.
"Yes."
"Do you have dates written down?"
"Yes."
"Excellent. I'm going to give you some dates, and I want you to tell me if they're in your notebook. Are you ready?"
"Yes."
"Februrary seventh." Paper rustling.
"Yes."
"March twenty-sixth."
"Yes."
"April twelfth."
"Yes." Barbatos' eyes widen, which concerns me. He's usually the more composed one.
"September first." More paper rustling.
"Yes."
"October eighteenth."
"Yes."
"Okay." I pause, unsure how to proceed. "MC, this is serious." Several seconds of silence.
"Alright," MC finally responds. It almost sounds like they're trying not to cry. "I see. Well." More silence. "I know that Devildom history is much better documented than what's up here, so maybe either one of you can tell me if there's ever been someone like me before."
"No," Barbatos quickly answers. "Humans have had connections with angels and demons for millennia, but those connections have always been separate until now. If a human is involved with angels, then they don't mix with demons, and vise versa. You are the only one that I'm aware of that has both angel and demon marks on your body. That's the first thing that sets you apart.
"The second thing is the source of your pact marks. There have certainly been humans that have pacts with a lot more demons than you, but usually those pacts are with lower level demons. If they do have pacts with demons in our position, it's usually with one or two. Three's usually a stretch, but it has happened. In those situations, however, the human doesn't survive much past the date that the third pact is made. Their body is simply too weak to handle that much power.
"Before you, the only human that I thought might have been able to survive that many pacts would be Solomon, but everyone else has their reservations, hence why he only has two pacts with higher-level demons: myself and Asmodeus.
"You are the first human in our history that has pacts with all seven Avatars, and you've managed to remain intact. That suggests an immense amount of power that has never been documented in a human before. You could very well be creating an instability in the fabric of the universe that is causing these things to happen."
"Thanks, Barbatos," MC snidely remarks.
"I apologize," I tell MC. "Barbatos can be rather blunt at times." I briefly pause. "Here's what we'll do: I'll have Barbatos reach out to Solomon and tell him to pick you up. Your first stop will actually be to the Celestial Realm to investigate if similar events are occuring up there that are happening in our realms and that match any of your missing dates."
"And how exactly are we going to get up there?"
"Simeon. I leave that responsibility to Solomon. He should be smart enough to know that he needs to talk to him first. The three of you will probably rendezvous somewhere close to you."
"What about Luke? When he finds out that Simeon is meeting up with me, he'll want to tag along."
"Leave that to Simeon. He's basically the boy's guardian; I'm sure he'll come up with a reasonable story."
"True. So, I'm assuming we're going to the Devildom once we're done in the Celestial Realm?"
"Yes. All four of you. It'll raise less suspicion. We'll figure out our next steps once you arrive."
"Please don't tell the brothers about this," MC instructs. "It'll only make things worse."
"You have my word."

The Sumeru Akademiya, Astrology, and Mona's mysterious origins
(Originally posted on my Twitter on August 27 and 28, 2022.)
Sumeru is exciting for a multitude of reasons, but a major point for me is learning more about astrology from astrologist characters other than our beloved Mona Megistus!
One of the six Darshans of the Akademiya is Rtawahist, a department dedicated to Illuminationism, the study of the stars that includes astronomy and astrology.
Tumblr media
The ex-Grand Sage of the Akademiya was the sage of Rtawahist, Azar. This means that an astrologist was leading the school. You would think this means astrology is a well-respected subject in not just the Akademiya, but Sumeru as a whole. However, it seems that isn't the case.
Tumblr media
The elderly researcher (who refers to himself as an astrologist) implies that they are not being funded well, but that may be a recent thing. There's lots of talk of a secret project (that we now know was the Fatui working with the sages to make a god out of Scaramouche) diverting much attention and money away from other research projects.
Notably, Qushji mentions Hydromancy, the art of divining fate from the stars' reflection in water, which was developed by none other than Mona's master herself! In the 3.x Archon Quests thus far there's been no mention of Mona's master or Mona.
Tumblr media
To my current in game knowledge, it's unclear how much, if at all, Mona and her master are affiliated with the Akademiya and astrologists in Rtawahist.
The newly released character, Layla, an Akademiya student from the Rtawahist Darshan and specializing in theoretical astrology, has this to say about Mona:
Mona Megistus, the Astrologist... Her astrology column in The Steambird is well-known among Rtawahist scholars. Her articles always cover super specialized topics, but can still be appreciated by non-academics. That's no easy feat... Huh? Her name seems to just roll off my tongue? Uh, that's just because... I have a lot of respect for... amazing people.
This seems to imply that Mona (and by extension her master) are independent of Rtawahist and the Akademiya.
Another researcher, Ashk, has a very interesting conversation with the Traveler. He implies that due to human ignorance and therefore error, the truth divined from the stars may be incorrect or misleading. When he asks the Traveler what they think, you receive a reward for choosing the second dialogue option, "Things might not be as they seem..."
Tumblr media
What stuck out to me is the talk of ignorance in the nation of wisdom. Mona's cinematic from her mirage in Summer Fantasia described the crystal bird as, "born in wisdom, but trapped in ignorance".
Tumblr media
Given that this event directly preceded Sumeru, I don't believe the choice in words is a coincidence.
The same researcher goes on to speak about research into constellation. It seems that in order to study those, one must have a Vision. It's still a bit unclear whether only Allogenes have constellations, or everyone does regardless.
Mona's line about constellations implies the former. This exchange is important because it plants the idea that destiny - the past in this instance - can be altered if someone is the one deciding it in the first place.
Tumblr media
This is a reoccurring theme in the game - rewriting fate, challenging destiny. I'm very curious to see if Mona will make an appearance in the Sumeru storyline at some point, and if we'll finally learn more about her master and Hexenzirkel in turn. The set-up is there!
At the beginning of the Sumeru Archon Quest, Haypasia gives us our first introduction to the Rtawahist Darshan. She describes its goals as studing astrology, astronomy and the stars’ link to destiny, who then also try to connect with Irminsul to deepen their knowledge.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That sounds a lot like Hexenzirkel.
Tumblr media
I've speculated about Mona's master and/or Hexenzirkel possibly being affiliated with the Akademiya. If her master were to have that connection, I wonder why Mona doesn't? We know next to nothing about Mona's origins or past.
We don't even know why she's studying astrology, how she met her master, and how Mona came to study under her. Mona is steeped in mystery, and that's how she's meant to be. Her character introduction on the Genshin Impact website describes her as "a mysterious astrologist".
Tumblr media
Many people assume Mona is from Fontaine because she writes the column "All Things Astrological" for its famed newspaper, The Steambird, but we have no indication of where she came from. Is it Sumeru? Is that where she met her master and studied astrology?
Time will tell!

Trans Rights are Human Rights, or why I struggle to boo CM Punk
Tumblr media
Ok the title is sort of a lie. I certainly didn't struggle booing him on Sunday live in Wembley. But in all fairness he was facing Samoa Joe who is one of those wrestler that I just care about always have for damn longer time than I have liked Punk. I, like most of the British crowd, was chanting my lungs out for Joe and yes might've booed Punker but my attitude slightly changed during the post of of this amazing if slightly predictable match. After the match, as pictured, CM Punk posed with a fan holding a sign that said "Oi Rishi! TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS" this is the latest in a string of support Phil has made towards the trans community including but not limited to a cool charity t shirt that I own but do not have in my possession.
I was at All In with a friend and when that happened he turned to me and said "THAT'S US!" as we both screamed and cheered CM Punk. I supported CM Punk in this moment even though he has given me so many reasons to think he is a twat. I cheered him because if I'm honest being a trans wrestling fan is hard.
These events are pretty recent and are still upsetting to me so I will try to make this section brief. Unfortunately I couldn't find a date for this particular event since none of the articles mentioned one so, at Wrestlecon Giselle Shaw, a trans woman currently wrestling in IMPACT was accosted by wrestling legend Rick Steiner. Brother to Scott Steiner and father to Bron Breakker. Steiner hurled lots of insults towards Shaw including slurs. I’m not going to read it out but Shaw’s tweets I will link below so you can hear the story from her. This is possibly the most extreme example I have of LGBT+ issues still being prevalent in wrestling today and the worst thing Rick Steiner has done since the Chucky segment. It makes me sadder than I can express that Giselle shaw can’t go to a convention without people being shitty.
There was a second after me and my friend had that exchange at All In where I thought "Am I okay saying that? It's London it's not like I'm in London that often. Is it safe to say I'm trans?". Obviously I am okay, I got safe and was not shanked up at any point but I was scared. And I think this fear is heightened by the fact that I have seen a wrestler, a wrestler I look up to, experience harassment due to their gender identity.
I felt safe at All In, it was incredible and I loved being a wrestling fan surrounded by wrestling fans. But there have been times where I have felt uncomfortable or unsafe in this fandom. I think that there are worse ones and that I feel generally more accepted in the wrestling fandom that I perhaps might expect but I shouldn't have to feel like this, ever.
So that's why I struggle to boo CM Punk, and why that moment was one of my favourite of the night, because CM Punk made me feel like I could be a part of the wrestling fandom. That I wasn't out of place. That I was accepted and I will forever be grateful for that.
In conclusion, on Sunday CM Punk has helped me and I hope that you can do one thing for me, just one. Go watch a match with a trans or non binary person in it. Please, it shouldn't take long. It could be Gisele Shaw, it could be Nyla Rose, Kidd Bandit, VENY, Max The Impaler, Jessica Love, Sheik Khan Abdi, Abadon, you could watch an old Kagetsu match if you want. I would love to see trans or non binary wrestlers get recognition and appreciation. So go off, watch that match. and if you do retweet this and say what match you watched and what you thought of it.
This has been Undisputed Queer-a.
Slay The System, certainly Shock The Cis-tem, sorry I'm a day late, I will see you next Monday (probably, hopefully, should be)

3. That encompasses my style
I suppose this one has a lot of the elements that encompass my style (From Chapter 34 The Queen and King, from Before We Have It)
There was something so amusing in the thought, but Solara couldn’t quite … name what was so amusing about it. Perhaps the fact that it was unbelievable. That they had finally arrived here? Into this moment? Where he was holding her close, leading her through the dance floor as the only couple there? “You’re laughing,” he noted with a whisper as the waltz continued. “Not quite,” she grinned with soft syllables that flowed through the air. “Almost,” he uttered. Neither needed to think about the steps their feet took. Because it just felt… right. Natural. Like breathing itself. “Something… particularly amusing?” He asked, landing one no other coherent thought. Not that he would have been displeased with the sound of her laugh, ever. Never displeased with the tender melody of the sound of her amusement and joy. “I just… it seems… almost too good to be true, doesn’t it?” A gentle, low, silent chuckle left him, only audible to her and her alone. Almost,” he agreed. “Almost,” she repeated. “But the best is still up ahead,” he continued, looking at her. Just looking. As his feet carried forth, without a thought; it was as if they were floating through the air, the dance floor. And yet they spoke with hushed syllables. “The days that will follow…” she uttered, smiling to him; her eyes seeing only him and the start of the road they’d be taking. “Mhm,” the hum that left him… was sweet and soft. “This day is … perfect. Perhaps long, but it’s… perfect.” “You work long days regularly,” she commented, not really sure why, but she did. “But you’re right, that it’s… perfect…” Another chuckle left him, this one as soft as the other. “I do, but it’s… perhaps I’ve been more nervous. Than on most days. But it has been worth it. More than worth it..” “And a … perfect finish for the perfect day?” She asked, syllables laced with an undertone that was delicious, decadent event. “Whatever my Queen wishes,” he teased. "Until the sheets our stained with our sin”, she whispered, the grin oozing from her lips, down onto his shoulder. "Oh what a mind you have, my love,” he smirked with his eyes adoring her form, in his arms, drinking up the situation. The exchange given with hushed syllables, under the eyes of the guests, who were there to celebrate their union. Oh, what a scandalous thing it was. To be there, speaking of such yearning when those who’d notice their lips moving would imagine them to be gentle love confessions. "Don't claim that it wasn't on your mind too," she teased with a smirk of her own, looking at him through half lidded eyes. And her lip, only barely between her teeth. But enough to direct his eyes to them. Opulent with every grace he could think of. Every sacred thing that he could imagine, painted on them.
16. From a recent piece i want to brag about
(What have I written recently??) Butler AU? Tho this is a WIP and will happen somewhere waaaayyyy later in the story:
“And… what if I took a seat… came a little closer…” she spoke with a hushed tone as her eyes were only half-lidded, lips parted ever so slightly.  “I wouldn’t oppose,” he replied, nearly purred, while feeling his throat drying, becoming devoid of something he couldn’t quite name. But he knew that it would taste like sin, while being sweet as heaven.  “Well…” she uttered while taking a few, slow, short tentative steps forward, as if a cat, or a lion, slowly approaching, before taking a seat on his lap, straddling him on the couch. “Too close?” She asked with a whisper, the words rolling from her tongue with such a decadent taste that he had to take a deep breath to keep himself calm.  “No, not in the slightest…” he uttered in return as his eyes shifted between her eyes and her lips. And he wanted to. Oh by the gods how he wanted to.  He wanted to have earned it. He wanted to be granted this piece of heaven on earth and just … just be able to press his lips against hers. Hold her close by the waist and not care if he was becoming excited or not. He didn’t want to care if she’d feel his thrilled being under her.  He wanted to think that she wanted to feel his excitement.  He wanted, craved and lusted with his entire being, right down to his very soul. But he didn’t dare.  Her hips rolled over him, making it practically impossible for him to deny himself of her.  His eyes caught a glimpse of the hem of her skirt, over her knee right next to him. The light from the window seemed to caress the fabric ever so gently and sweetly, as if placing a countless number of kisses onto it. And he wanted his hand to do the same. He wanted. He wanted. And he wanted. Which is why he placed his right, gloved hand onto her knee, and began pushing the fabric along the length of her thigh, inch… by inch… as his eyes turned back to hers. Back to her lips, her neck… her collarbone… His gaze fell onto the way her lips glistened in the tender light of the sun as she bit her bottom lip, and leaned closer.  The world didn’t exist. Nothing outside of that moment existed. It was just her, and him. And the way she leaned closer. Her hands were on his shoulders, and her eyes were shifting between his lips and his eyes.  So… he leaned closer, as if beckoned by heaven itself. No coherent thoughts ran through his mind, there was only the lulling sensation, the melody within his heart that seemed to tangle itself with hers. There was only- “GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-!” Both of them turned to watch towards the window and the sound.  “WAY TO GO ANINUE!” Was heard from the outside, though muffled, as if a bit more distant than the original sound.  She jumped off of him and rushed to the window, him following soon behind, and opened the window. The vines that grew on the outside of the shop, had been partially destroyed, and a young man with vermillion hair lied on the ground while wearing an apologetic smile and giving a thumbs up.  “Don’t worry! I’m good!” He yelled.  The boy yelled, and Fuegoleon sighed while pinching the bridge of his nose.
24. That makes me go “huh…i wrote that?!”
I could put many snippets here for very different reasons, but let's go with this one from Chapter 52 Magic is life, from Embers of Sun and Flame (I was inspired by Wild in this paragraph)
Captain Fuegoleon Vermillion, the first son of the House Vermillion, Royalty of the Kingdom of Clover with tremendous amount of mana, was a battle mage. He had always been such, and he would always be such. He came from a long line of combat mages, and was praised because of it. But when it came to standing face to face with death he was as helpless as a peasant. He was no healer, and never had he thought about how a healer could be the closest thing to a god in the battle field. Because… when all else fails, when you’re hanging on by that thin thread or a string, you go to a medic, someone who can mend and aid. You go to them, or they come to you, to fix what is broken and allow you to see through to another day. And if their mana and resources are limited, then they decide who gets to live and who to die. He was no healer, and thus, he couldn’t do anything.

It's that time once again, lads.
EX & 20/20 Current 5* powerups: 255 Current spirits: 890 5* powerups available: 49 (20 lodge, 5 event, 4 CS, 20 exchange) Spirits available: 340 (85x4 CS) Total powerups: 304 Total spirits: 1230
We can afford a decent amount at this point.  I've realized I can spend powerups down to 150, to match the 500 spirits for 10 EX in a pinch.  So let's call it 9 available.
This month's acquisitions will include...Penny and Valerie. Sylveon Supremacy.  I am not sold on anyone else.  I've talked myself out of Roxie and Ryuki, I don't care about Piers or Elaine at present.  I may go for the Eevee tier scout.  Two guaranteed Eevesi along the way is nice, and if I roll one of Selene or Elio, I'll get the other at pity.  I don't know if I'll EX them, it really depends on how I'm feeling about it.  Since Valerie is already 20/20, we can get up to 8 others.
Rei - Really strong Fighting damage, Hisui bias, etc.
SS Silver - My Ice roster is basically "Irida."  I should aim to boost that, and I like Silver and Sneasel well enough.
SS N - Frankly a terrible idea, I don't really respect him, but he is fun when I break him out. That said, meta shift, 15k Master Mode may not play so nice with him.
Ethan - If I decide to go hard on the Fire High Score event. Which I'm already backing out of.
Eevee Lucas - Same as Ethan, but also, Eevesi. He is the Only Good Flareon, so tempted.
Lodge Calem - Fennekin is baby. Also Fire High Score I guess, but mostly the baby thing.
Classic Blue - I use him semi-regularly thanks to the Roxanne/Lodge Steven comp. But as an off-type, that one is in Major Danger with the meta shift, so I'm not exactly sold on it.
Alder - Bug game is weak, I think it'd be nice to have a stronger Bug Man around, and I like Volcarona well enough.
Anni Steven - Maybe one day.  I legitimately do want to do this one day.
Relevant Support Roundup:
Lana - Still not really feeling it.
BP Morty - Kinda unnecessary.
BP Surge - Helps his Gauntlet survival but I hate using him.
Lodge Blue - Don't really use him outside of Gauntlet.
Lodge Elesa - Don't really use her outside of Gauntlet
Lodge Raihan - Really don't respect it.
Nita (20/20) - I'm considering just because I've been F2P focused, but I don't like Nita or Lando, so...
Lodge Morty - Actually does see use, there's an argument to be made here.
Lodge Acerola - Less frequently used than Morty, but still sees play.
Lodge Adaman - Not actually good, but Eeveelution and Hisui.
Lodge Leaf - I've found more opportunities to try with her, but also I feel like Penny just walked in and knocked her teeth out.
The 20/20 I have a few pairs that are sitting at 20/20, and would just cost spirits.  Given that I have enough powerups for 9 EX but enough spirits for 14, this may be worth looking at.
NC Marnie - Intensely unnecessary but kinda funny. Compresses Fiery Wrath.
SS Ethan - Also super unnecessary given he's 1/5, and Aeroblast doesn't even compress.
Victrier - I don't like Victor, but he's a free Field pair for Ghost, and I do like Spectrier. The recent Galar battle got me thinking about investing after all.
CANDY SITUATION Strike (4)
Petrel - 2.  I mean.  It's worth considering?
Rose - 2.  He gets a lot stronger with it.
SS Ethan - 2.  Full sync privileges, if that's a thing we care about now.
Honestly, just hold.
Tech (2)
SC Ingo - 2.  Bug nuke man with MPR.
BT Leon - 2.  I did EX him, and Dragapult has grown on me tremendously.
I'll likely do BT Leon, but at next datamine when I'm certain it's safe.
Support (2) None!  Amazing.  If I lucky pull H!Phoebe I'll consider it.  "What about Pen-" Penny will cooperate or so help me god.  I am done with it always being the support that goes bad.  Just one month without needing Support candy, Penny!  JUST ONE!
General (19)
Rei - 2.  He's really strong, so this is a fairly sane investment overall. And Hisui, so you know, regional bias.
The Eevi - Okay, this is a big one.  I hoard.  I hoard so bad I have 19 of these general candy sitting in my lap right now.  I have not used one...almost ever.  That's a problem.  I stockpile so I can avoid disaster, but at the point I can also just hand all five of them candy and probably still be over 10, we've reached the point I'm being ridiculous.  I am willing to candy them.  If I crack for Elio and Selene, I'm not going for the other Eevee scout and risking another disaster, I'm just using general candy.  This shit ends now.
Cake Situation I have a Tech and a Support. Exactly nothing with these effects interests me right now. Holding. As for the potential for another Strike cake from Penny, I don't feel like anyone needs it. Akari's sync isn't that great, she's had no problem with DPS, and I sure as hell am not giving it to Penny. Hold all cakes.
LEVEL 150
Nemona - I don't use Nemona all that often, but that's a failure on my part, not hers.
Drasna - I love Drasna, I feel like I need to. Maybe if I shower her with affection, she'll show up off-focus.
BT Leon - My recent ScarVi competitive streak got me really hooked on Dragapult. I love that funky Ghostie Dragon.
SS Diantha - A little hesitant, but it is Diancie.
NC Serena - Considering because Serena and this is her best outfit. Hesitating because Greninja.
Bede - Look. We all need to accept that I like Bede.
Anni Skyla - Tornadus Therian is one of the only good djinn forms, and I really like her 3/5 kit.
SS Serena - I feel like it just makes sense but it's hard to justify.
Kahili - I like never use Kahili anymore but she was a big focus for a while there. Maybe when she gets EX.
Shauntal - Shauntal did get EX and I really like her DPS sets so I'm kinda tempted here.
Kris - Kick you apart, now even harder.
Clair - Favoritism.
Iris - I like running things that are bad.
Penny - Sylveon is good, and I like it.

things i've gathered from twitter so far given by the nasu and takeuchi interview:
most of this was taken by @GutsACS on twitter (so big credit to them)
they used machine translation so there may be inaccuracies
read under the cut for infos on the main story, new summer event and game development
main story infos
koyanskaya ended up the most impactful servant to takeuchi, originally she was meant to be only one character but they wound up splitting her into light and dark
they said they cannot comment on warrior monk and johanna appearing again in the interview — NPCs do have a place in the story as characters but not everyone can be implemented is what they say, but they do want to respond to people's feelings for these characters
WADARCO considers koyan of dark her "ultimate" design
roland's game data was ready ever since his old NPC interlude cameo, they just didn't find the right time to implement him
young moriarty was originally not planned for traum, takeuchi said he wanted it and it happened
lb7 is "simpler" than lb6 but still very exciting and they want to surprise the players
nasu says lb7 is a lot like singularity 7 in its purpose and what it means for part 2
they've been working on what comes after lb7 since last year and takeuchi now has "finally settled on a timeline"
according to nasu lb7 will not answer all mysteries of arc 2,but with it you'll be more likely to finally grasp the outline and start to see the solution
nasu said he cannot say what comes after lb7 yet (so no answer wether there'll be a lb7.5)
however he asks players to remember that back at lb5 he said "finally one third is over" and "this is not the half of it" and then smiles at the interviewer?
according to nasu there's two different options for fgo after the lostbelt arc ends: 1. chaldea's storyline continues from part 2 or 2. chaldea's story ends in part 2 and a new story begins
he personally wants option 1, but it depends on the player base
summer event infos
3 SSRs are planned for this summer event
the theme is an amisement park in the arctic circle
nasu thinks some servants will be expected this year, but some will be unexpected
nasu says the theme is a resort with no extra subtheme (so no ServaFes kinda thing)
in regards to protomerlin, he calls the merlins an exchange (he let arcade use her for their story, but thinks now it is time to get to use her in the mobage
takeuchi says there is no significant narrative force with her showing up in this event in regards to the later story
nasu is already stressing about the themes for the next two summer events
Game infos
takeuchi and nasu mention that the switch to lasengle has allowed them to finally start fixing lrg development issues they've faced since the beginning
they started working on changes during lb6
according to them the changes are still recent so you might not see the impact just yet but it will become evident over time
nasu mentioned something about these improvements for fgo to be able to continue for a long time
takeuchi says that if they didnt do it they wouldn't be able to continue fgo to the end
takeuchi wanted append skills at the start of the lostbelt but the development environment made it so it was impossible to do so by then
nasu was worried they might ruin the game balance in the adjustments,but it wad unanimous the game was outdated and in a rut, so they needed to make changes and we'll see that continue to take shape
they felt grail casting was nevessary 'cause supply isn't keeping up with demand denandas servants & therefore peoples' faves increwse in number
nasu wanted casting so it would feel like you made something rather than received it
for the super recollection quests, they are working on making cernunnos as a boss more balanced
they want to implement koyanskaya's lostbelt outfits (lb1, 3, 4 & 6)
kanpu wants to make party formation easier
the next grailfront will take longer to complete than previous ones
