ON THIS DAY
April 26th - Gandalf arrives in Bag End and tries to pursuade Bilbo to take part in an adventure, but he declines the offer.
"Sorry! I don't want any adventures, thank you. Not today. Good morning! But please come to tea - any time you like! Why not tomorrow? Come tomorrow! Good bye!" With that the hobbit turned and scuttled inside his round green door, and shut it as quickly as he dared, not to seem rude. Wizards after all are wizards.

Currently crying because Sam inherited Bag End and had to walk those halls and watched his family grow in the place where his lost closest loved one had grown. That’s gotta be painful and haunting. To be constantly reminded of someone like that who you won’t see for a very long time.
Then again, currently crying because Sam inherited Bag End and GOT to walk those halls and watch his family grow in the place where his lost closest loved one had grown. That’s gotta be motivating and inspiring and reassuring. To be constantly reminded of someone like that who you won’t see for a very long time.

AU. After the battle, Thorin gives the crown to Fili and decides to live together with Bilbo. He really wanted to stay in Erebor, but Bilbo missed home so much that they decided to settle in the Shire.
After overcoming a long and difficult journey, they finally return to Bag End.
The first day of their new life. Beautiful spring morning, the couple went to the market.
Thorin: *delighted* Wow, there are so many hobbits here!!! It's all hobbits! Small, adorable and fluffy hobbits with little bare feet!
Bilbo: *tense with jealousy* Yeah, maybe we should go back and live in Erebor…
Thorin: *does not listen to Bilbo, enthusiastically looks around the area and its inhabitants*
Bilbo: *stony-faced* It’s good that we haven’t had time to unpack our things yet.

Bilbo: Don't kill me I have a boyfriend.
Orc Captain: You think I care about that?
Bilbo: No this isn't a plea for mercy, it's a warning.
Orc Captain: What-
Thorin (appearing out of nowhere): ARE YOU READY TO DIE?!?!

I was playing Gandalf the Grey in an impromptu interactive theater production set in a replica of Bag End in the woods reading off a script given out by the guide but instead of a canon lines for Gandalf to say I read a speech about the evils of British colonialism.
I was as confused as anyone in the room.

In my bagginshield era again. So obviously with that I watched the movies again. Let me tell you. It felt like I was watching a fanfic. It made so much sense if you watched it as Bilbo and Thorin falling in love. It also hurts a lot more when they reach the mountain in desolation of Smaug when Thorin points his sword to Bilbo. Just think that they either started courting or got married in Lake Town. You can feel the sheer heartbreak Bilbo goes through when he realizes Thorin is changing.

Another short LOTR comic I made, adapted from the chapter “Journey in the Dark” in Fellowship of the Ring.
I really felt Frodo’s homesickness in this passage, and the beginnings of his deep regret for how things are unfolding as well as what will never be again. Also love getting a glimpse of the friendship/allyship of Elves and Dwarves of old because of mithril, and of course had to sneak in Celebrimbor and Narvi. My favorite part of Rings of Power has been Khazad-dûm and the dwarves thriving (for ONCE!!)
