Kissing in the rain

This race week is set in Spa and the weather condition isn’t the best, it’s forecasted to rain a lot as you go through weekend, but at the moment it’s sunny. The sun is up that it makes you think that there’s noway it’ll rain but you’ve been to too many races and places to know that. Mother nature is very indecisive with mood swings so bad you want to know if she’s okay. Anyways Lewis hasn’t done his track walk yet, so he went around looking for you, finishing you in a corner in the garage with Susie, she was telling you about her plans with women in sport and what they’re working on to change their role in the sport.

You looked concentrated, you were so into the conversation he almost felt bad for breaking the conversation, but if you wanted to come with him then now’s the best time to go and take advantage of the weather. You were already dressed in running shoes and sports trousers ready for the walk, you talked about the day before.

“Sorry to interrupt, but (y/n) do you wanna come on a track walk with me?” Lewis asked if you changed his mind, that’ll be okay with him even if he wanted you to come. It’s been a couple weeks since you last saw each other because of schedule conflict.

“Go,go, we’ll continue talking later.” Susie said straight away waving you off. “We spend most of the time together anyway.”

“Okay, but we’re definitely continuing later.” Waving bye to her, you lace your hands with Lewis, as you leave the garage.

“Here I got you this.” Lewis said and gave you a jacket he had in his other hand, you let go of his hand and he helped you put it on, it’s one of his jackets that were waterproof, but provided warmths.

“Thanks.” You say with a satisfied smile, Lewis smiled down at you, he found you so cute with you engulfed in his jacket looking cosy and warm. Lacing your hands once again you start your walk down the pitlane and the track. It wasn’t the most athletic walk, you were just walking at a slow pace. You were telling Lewis about how his fans turned you into a grid mum online, gathering all the cute moments you had through the years you’ve been with Lewis. You were very animated as you told him about the memes and what not, even showing him a couple that you saved on your phone. It was over halfway through the track that it started to get gloomy and dark. “So much for the sun.”

“To be fair if we walked faster we would’ve been done by now.” Lewis said looking up at the sky as you walked, the clouds were dark and heavy looking.

“True but I like having those slow walks with you, especially when we haven’t seen each other in a long time.” You pout as you say this, Lewis wraps his arm around your shoulder sideways, and yours goes around his middle.

“I do too, you know some would argue that two weeks aren’t that long of a time to not have seen each other.” Lewis said and you shake your head scoffing. “I’m not saying that, because you know I hate spending a day without seeing you.”

“You know that some wou;d argue that that’s not healthy and that this is attachment issues.” You fire back and Lewis laughs, you fight the smile creeping onto your face. “I’m not saying that, I for one love that, my only complain is that sometimes I can’t sleep when you’re not next to me.”

“And you love your sleep.”

“I love my sleep.” you felt it then the first drop hitting your face making you flinch slightly, looking up, it’s like heavens doors just opened and you’re both wet in seconds, pulling up your hood, Lewis does the same, you could see the pitlane from where you walked. “We should hurry up.”

“Wait for a second.” You were confused, Lewis stopped walking and held your wrist to halt your walking before you faced him, he had his head tilted back, eyes closed, clearly enjoying the rain.

“Lew, you can get sick my love.” You warn him thinking of his health.

“Just a moment.” He answered, your worry visible on your face but he couldn’t see it with his eyes closed. You take in the peaceful look on his face, and find yourself smiling. This Lewis is your favourite Lewis, the one only you and close friends and family get to see. Slowly you move your arms around his middle pressing yourself against him, but your head was back to look at your boyfriend. Lewis opens his eyes and looks at you, water was running down your hoodie and you both were getting wetter and wetter. However you looked so good to him right now, so carefree and smiley.

So you can't blame him for not resisting, his hand cups your cheek before he's pulling you in for a kiss. You squeak surprised, Lewis is a very private person and isn't big on PDA, so kissing while there are cameras possibly around is usually a thing when he's winning. You don't hesitate once you get over the shock to kiss him back your hands holding his jacket tighter. The kiss doesn't last long, and it isn't a deep kiss but it was filled with love and passion. It left you warm and tingly, with butterflies in your stomach, how he still gives you butterflies after all those years you'll never know.

Cameras catch the kiss from the pitlane the long lenses capture the moment between you two. And even though you hate how much cameras are always in your face the pictures from that day you have saved on your phone.(maybe even framed in your Monaco house?

Training

It really was just a series of videos he posted to his story.

Story 1. He told his fans that you were going to try and train like him, you could be seen in the background stretching in your gym wear.

Story 2. It was easy, just some cardio, you were all smiley giving the camera thumps up and everything.

Story 3. You move to goblet squats, you’re again doing okay no thumps up but you’re okay.

Story 4. Deadlifts. Of course all the training you’re doing is fitted for your body and your limits, but you don’t really do deadlifts while you’re in the gym. So you’re frowning while LEwis is hyping you up, you managed to do them but sweat is appearing faster and faster now.

Story 5. It starts with you complaining that you can’t even do press ups, much less dumbbell press ups. Yeah… you only managed to do five and Lewis was generous with his counting.

Story 6. You’re laying on the ground breathing heavily and refusing to move. You glare at Lewis when he tells you what you have to do next.

Story 7. You’ve given up, sitting on the ground, your back to the wall, knees bent and your water bottle in your hand. Lewis was amused but he praised you for what you’ve done.

Helmet kiss

You didn’t mean for it to happen, it wasn’t planned really. But you found yourself kissing Lewis’ helmet every time you were at a race from the start of your relationship. After and before every race it just became something that you always did. He’d have his visor up and you could see his eyes in a smile. It was something for the both of you, for you to show Lewis that you’re proud of him, that you’re there for him, even when he didn’t win or wasn’t on a podium you always kissed his helmet or him to be honest, if there were cameras or there weren't any.

Getting pulled in an interview by the reporter

Media days, usually are the days you spend the most time with Lewis on track. All the time between interviews and breaks he had, it gave you enough time, and you were able to stand with the Merc staff behind camera and watch him.

And so here you are, media day after a week off between racing, Lewis was pulled into an interview in pitlane, you were standing off camera watching him with his PR manager.

“We just saw you last week at Milan fashion week,” The interviewer said, just last week you both were in Milan and attended a few shows and walked a couple red carpets together. “Along with your girlfriend y/n, are times like this you spend destressing or just taking time off away from racing”

“I mean yeah, it’s always fun to spend time away and have a break and it’s something we’re both interested in.” Lewis kept it short and sweet, but the interviewer had other things on her mind.

“You both looked amazing, actually we have y/n here.” She said and the camera turned around and panned to you, you had a startled look on your face for a split second before you smiled and waved to the camera. “Come here y/n, come on.”

Timidly you walked to your boyfriend’s open arm, you wrapped an arm around his waist, while his rested on your back.

“y/n tell us, you spend so much time on the road with Lewis, what is something that you both like to do that helps you take a break from formula 1?”

“Uh, I don’t know, because once we’re off track we usua;;y just do something fun and don’t think much about formula 1.” You looked at Lewis for confirmation and he gave you a smile of encouragement. “It’s our way of not letting it consume us, and I do a lot of my work on the road as well, so we just have time off around the races and do something we like.”

“That’s lovely, it’s great to have some stability in each other, lewis?”

“Definitely, having y/n with me gives me a sense of stability, and just having her with me helps me a lot.” You just couldn’t fight the smile on your face hearing his words, because you both sacrificed so much for his job, and if there is ever moments where you’d think maybe it’s too much or you can’t push back any of the things you want in life, you remember how happy you are with him and how sacrificing some things is okay, every relationship has some sacrifices and you’re okay with that. The highs are really good and you’ve managed to go through all the lows together, the support you have for the other is really one of the foundations to your relationship.

Driving

It’s a well known and documented fact that you can drive, and you love driving and that you’re actually a very good driver. But no matter what you’re not a super car driver. Mercedes thought it’ll be good idea to film a video of you driving a car in Silverstone, with Lewis in the passenger seat before you switch.

You’re not used to being in those kind of things, yes you have sealed with your fair share of paparazi and media but not in a video where you had to be miked up and everything. So you were a little nervous, Lewis saw your eyes as they ran over all the cameras and filming crew, your eyes were the only indication that you were nervous. Walking up to you he smiles, you were dressed in a Mercedes race suit, matching his. Even your helmet was the same as his, he had it made for you.

“Are you okay?” Lewis asked you, shielding you away from everyone’s view.

“Yeah, just a little nervous.” You mumbled and pouted as you looked up at your man leaning into him slightly, Lewis pulled you in for a hug.

“It’s okay, the moment you want to end this and not film just tell me and we’ll end it.” Lewis reassured you, he wouldn't want to pressure you into doing anything you didn’t want to do.

“No, I’m powering through this, nerves never stopped me before.” You winked at him and smiled, you remembered the first time you met Lewis how nervous he made you it almost made it hard to talk to him but you pushed the nerves aside and talked to him and here you are now, so happily in love.

You got called to start filming, both Lewis and you stood next to each other in front of the camera, as someone introduced you.

“Driving with Lewis is his girlfriend, (y/n) (l/n)!” You smiled and nodded to the camera trying to keep your cool, Lewis placed a comforting hand on your back. “(Y/n) will take a turn driving around the track first before they switch and Lewis will drive.”

“Am I allowed an out lap to get the track?” YOu asked raising a hand, you’ve walked it before with Lewis, but you haven’t drove it.

“Sure.”

With that you got in the driver’s side and LEwis in the passenger. “This is familiar.” You say once you were in, meaning that you almost always drive when it’s the two of you.

“Let’s go!” Lewis was excited, he wanted to see what you got. You never sped up or drove over the speed limit, so seeing you driving fast is going to be something new to him.

“You have to give me some tips.” YOu said as you turned on the car and started driving, you were taking it easy not fast and not slow, a happy 80km/h. Lewis then pointed to where you should break where you can speed up. Once you had a lap around the track, your actual lap started.

Speeding up, you were so focused on the road in front of you. “Break here, here.”

“You go, love.” “Speed up!” “Babe that was amazing.”

You laughed as you slowed down for the end of the lap, Lewis held his palm up and you high fived him. “We should get you a seat at Mercedes.”

“Shut up… this was super fun.” You said unbuckling your seat belt and opened the door before you two switched places.

“Ready?”

“Ready.”

You were not ready, Lewis pressed his foot down on the paddle and off you were.

“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!” For some reason you didn’t expect the car to go that fast. At least not that fast straight away. You clutched the door and the seat tightly your knuckles turned white. Lewis was laughing. “Lewis!”

“Hold tight.” He said before he pulled the handbrake and turned, your body was pushed to the side of the car, making you scream.

“Lewis, lewis, lewis, babe, please-aaah.” He was showing off, he was, breaking late, accelerating faster, using the car as if he was racing and in his F1 car.

“Okay, okay.” He slowed down for a bit, and you sighed in relief, Lewis looked at you grinning.

“I’m not going to even tell you to look at the road.” You muttered shaking your head, Lewis laughed before pressing his foot down and once again you went flying down the track.

By the end of the TWO laps, you knew one thing for certain. “This is why I drive us around and not you.”

Road-trip

It's a well known fact that Lewis hates driving when he's not racing, He's said it before a million times. So all the cars the both of you own are basically your cars. Lewis is a passenger princess and you absolutely love it.

Even though you have your own money and make a good living, Lewis loves spoiling you and doing everything in his power to make it so you need nothing, craving some dessert you have in Italy you got it. Saw some bag in the passing and asked him what he thinks about it, you got it. Want to try a new hobby, you got the top of the art supplies. Anywhere you want to just think it and he'll book it straight away. Its not that you can't do all that, he just loves spoiling you, simple as that. And its not to say that you don't spoil him as well, but there's something about driving him around that makes you so happy.

"Let's go princess." You called out the car, the windows were down, and Lewis was checking that you had everything you needed before you hit the road. The GPS was already set up, your sunglasses were on and you were itching to get going.

"Haha, just making sure we have everything." Lewis said before he got in the car, he had his glasses on, you both were dressed very casually, you'll be in the car for a while so looks weren't important. "You look so happy."

You couldn't help the smile on your face as you pulled from the building. "Yeah, you know I've been wanting to do this for a couple years now."

"I'm glad you're happy." Lewis said with a smile. They can now relax after a long season flying and being everywhere, Lewis thoughts its the best time to have a road trip from your home in Monaco to the UK. As much as Lewis hates driving on normal road with normal speeds you love it, this idea has been on your mind for years, so the moment Lewis suggested that you do it you jumped at the chance.

Driving through France and seeing the country from a different perspective than what the both of you are used to, and just spending time with him away from everyone else for a few days.

The music was on and you both had your windows down and singing softly along to the music. Lewis took a few photos of you, he couldn’t help but wanting to document the trip.

You guys made the 14 hour drive into a three or four day drive, spending afew hours on the road, before staying in a hotel/inn and going around sight-seeing. Both of you were severely underdressed than your usual selves, sporting sunglasses and hats to keep a low profile. Your hard effort did in fact pay off, no one was the wiser, and having a less known name than Lewis everything was booked under your name.

Lewis did post a few things on his insta story, making the fans go crazy.

The first story he posted was from where you were singing, your hair flying everywhere, and he was hyping you up, the video ended with you both laughing. Both sounding and looking so happy.

The second picture was a selfie of himself enjoying being a passenger prince. He captioned the picture with a best passenger❤️

The second day you posted a picture of Lewis changing one of the tires, followed by a short video showing you in the middle of the countryside, with nothing to be seen around you. Honestly all of the content the fans were fed during the trip was enough to keep them satisfied for a while, before they were starved once again.

Sam Heughen is so hard to watch. He is the heart, soul and spirit of Outlander. He is always the one who promotes the show. Just being honest. If it wasn't for Sam,,, Cait would still be working at Victoria's secret and the fans would not know the rest Of the crew. Starz failed attempt at making Claire a femme fatale is absurd and ridiculous. Still, Ron and the other producers are holding Sam back,,,on purpose. WHY? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? For a moment I thought do we have a new Susie D here? But I see it was in answer on one of her tweets

First of all, I really don't get it why the need to always compare the careers of Sam and Cait. They're 2 very different people, different backgrounds and different projects. The only project that connects them is OL. And let's be honest, how successful would it have been without Cait? Isn't the chemistry between the 2 characters they play the most cheered on success of OL?

And other realities are, are the movies Cait played in much more successful than the ones he was in? He accomplished something but to say it was all that successful would be greatly exaggerated. As well as Starz gave Sam MIK 2 seasons, and collaborated in TCND as well. Cait got her debut as director now in S8. But yes we know these Sam onlies are so biased they wont see reality, not even with a magnifying glass.

Also I have news for them as he told fans at the Land Con this weekend in Paris, they've been working for 3 weeks and they made him work really hard. Many lines to learn... so they can expect a lot to come in S8 concerning his character. (hence less sm activity during filming!) His character is never diminished in any way, but the ranting at Cait should really stop in this as it is nauseating.

By the time I post this it’s most likely still 2023- I know I haven’t been on my usual schedule recently but honestly? The past 7 months on this account have been the best thing ever for me. I get to share my silly ideas for my silly au and you guys come on by and enjoy it.

and to think that this account has come so far and the stories I have in mind aren’t even out yet. It’s just so crazy to me. Not to mention I actually managed to make some friends, something I thought I would never be able to do anymore because I’m too scared to post/reach out to people. To the people that willingly wanted to talk me, thank you. Thank you for being my friend, you don’t know how much that means to me <333

And to everyone who found this account- weither it’s from day 1 or a week ago, thank you for sticking around and putting up with me- I’ll try my damn best to get more posts out- just bare with me I still never got to the Christmas ones- but I will get to them I promise. "I think what Kris may have lost with Dess's disappearance is less innocence, and more self-confidence. I think their primary problem (and why they sought out being possessed in the first place) is that they feel indecisive and lack courage. They withdraw from people and refuse to participate in regular life less out of a lack of kindness, and more out of the mindset of "Why bother? I'll just screw it up anyway." (Which is probably part of why they feel kinship with Susie…they feel like they're on the same wavelength there.)

And Ralsei aggravates that position for them because, aside from his kindness and optimism, he is very insistent that specifically Kris should be the decision-maker. He pretty much tries to always make Kris feel good about their decisions, even the ones that he clearly doesn't like. If Kris's primary problem is they lacking the courage to make their own choices, Ralsei seems laser-focused on convincing Kris otherwise. Which, I feel makes Ralsei being a manifestation of Kris's soul all the more interesting…that for all Kris believes that they aren't capable of that courage, there is a part of them that does believe they're capable, and that's the part that has taken on a life of its own. Just! I think that could end up being pretty powerful!

I'm glad that people and in particular you, Lynx, like this topic. So I'm here again to share my thoughts :D

I want to talk about Kris's injuries, and that line "Why bother? I'll just screw it up anyway."

It's like a learned helplessness injury, if I'm not mistaken. When many bad events happen in a row in a person’s life, and no matter how hard they try, they cannot influence them. Kris faced enough problems that they began to consider themselves completely helpless and unable to influence the world on their own. Dess's disappearance, Asgore's dismissal from the police, parents' divorce, brother's departure to college. Having finally lost faith in their own strength, they decided to give control of their body to someone else. This sounds very logical.

Ralsei, in turn, seems to be really focused on restoring Kris's faith in herself, and the belief that something can still be done even without the player's participation. Progress in this direction is noticeable already at the end of the first chapter, when Kris, seemingly lost in everything, without the player’s command, independently, being wounded, protect Susie from the King’s attack. Susie is also an important figure here. Unlike Kris, on the contrary, she is extremely strong-willed and self-confident. She will break through the wall, demolish everything in her path, but achieve her goals. She even violated the mechanics of the battle just out of spite, took it and learned how to act, and even gave this option to her partner. There's a bit of Undyne from UT about her. DETERMINATION :D Susie for Kris is the same image of the ideal as Asriel. Only Asriel was a model of friendliness and success, Susie was a model of confidence and determination to act, something that Kris now lacks. That's why they probably like her.

As a result, we see that Kris is now positively influenced by two characters. Ralsei is focused on supporting and regaining self-confidence, while Susie says less, but with all her appearance shows that believing in yourself and your strengths is cool. And not only will Kris become more independent as the chapters progress, but Ralsei, with Kris’s condition improving, will be able to focus more on personal problems and the questions “who am I?” It's very interesting where this will all lead in the end.

Now something else occurred to me. Throughout the game we are told that the choice does not affect anything. What if this appeal is not to us, but Kris’s appeal to themselves?? Their entire childhood was not influenced by anything, they could not choose who they would be born with and suffer from it, they could not choose what would happen to Dess, they could not choose whether their parents would be together or not. And will my brother go to college? All their lives their choices didn't matter. And this is exactly what we will hear before the first chapter.

The player’s choice, in turn, has weight, because the player can go for murder (they don’t survive after freezing the entire body, I verified). Kris, on the other hand, doesn’t try very hard to resist the player, because they don’t believe that they can. We don’t know for sure, but I assume that extracting a soul from a body is possible not only in the light world. Then, if the Kris believed in themselves enough, they would try to interrupt the battle with Berldy, force Noelle to ignore the creepy voice (which continues to sound even if Kris is defeated), and give everyone time to get out of sight.

But I don't blame Kris, they need some more time to gain the determination to act and interfere with the player's actions.

Now at the time of two chapters we have the following diagram: Kris is convinced that their decisions don't matter. The player's decisions matter and can significantly impact the world.

The further we move, the more the influence of Susie and Ralsei will affect the will of Kris. And if they don’t like our decisions, we will be thrown out of the body more and more often, and perhaps they will learn to choose options for us by moving our hearts against our will. If Kris see that we are doing our best and really want to help, they will give us more freedom of action. Now we don't just control Kris, but they decide when to give us the right to control them. Now we obey.

Another interesting thing is that during the game you can sometimes come across dialogue options that would suit the character of Kris. For example, posing for the camera, we can choose a rude gesture, I think this is what they would choose. Or when Susie asks whose side Noelle is on, we can jokingly answer that she is our enemy.

If future chapters are released as an installation package along with the first two chapters, then it is possible that part of the code of the first two chapters will be supplemented and all information about our elections will be saved and used in the future, even if we did not take cruel paths. For example, like in UT when Toriel remembers our flirting at the end of the pacifist, Kris if they ever talk to us, they can remember how we made them hug Ralsei. We can choose what we want throughout the game, or we can choose what we think Kris would choose, and our decisions will influence dialogues or events in the future. We have already seen how the decisions from the first chapter influenced the second; in the battle with the capture of the Rouxls houses, Kaard uses exactly the same structure that we assembled in the first chapter. Also, for some reason, the game stores information about which vessel we collected at the very beginning.

Ultimately, we can either find common ground with Kris or make them hate us. If hatred leads to a battle, then against all three at once, Susie will be just happy to thrash someone bad, and Ralsei will never leave Kris and help them. But my intuition tells me that this will not be a battle, but something else, I don’t know why, the battle would be too obvious or something.

My thoughts on Kris's feelings towards their actions (again, may be art coming for this soon!) is that they feel a degree of responsibility for the bad things that have happened in their life, stemming from the incident with Dess. It could be like a learned helplessness, but I also see it as a "I cannot be trusted to make the right choices" kind of conditioning. Being the only human in a monster town, I can see them even pinning the blame on their humanity for their mistakes, since well…it's clearly the thing that's always made their life harder, anyway.

They do need their friendships to help set them on a path to self-acceptance and self-reliance, and the Dark World is facilitating that, which is why I think they are more and more focused on going back there!

In regards to the whole "your choices don't matter" theme, which people seem convinced applies to both the player and character…I think it's actually a lot more subtle than that. After all, the theme of Undertale is not "kill or be killed," even though an authoritative character tells you that at the start of the game. I actually think that the second voice at the end of the goner maker sequence saying "no one can choose who they are in this world" IS Kris speaking, because that's the mindset that they're currently in, and it's one they need to learn how to grow past by the end of the game. All of the main characters feel, in some way, that they are trapped by their own identities. Breaking free of these roles they feel they have no choice in is, I think, a narrative thoroughline we'll get through the whole game.

And I have a whole long twitter thread about this, but yeah, I do think that it's inevitable that we'll be cut off from controlling Kris at the end, because that feels like the natural conclusion to Kris's character arc. Kris starts out feeling like they can make no good choices, so someone needs to hold their hand. So by the end, it feels appropriate that they come to realize that they can act on their own, and that they don't need anyone holding their hand…not even the player controlling them. Whether that parting is on good terms or bad ones depends on how the player treats them and their friends…Ralsei does say that how we treat others can make all the difference!

I know this is just rambling on top of your rambling, but I appreciated reading yours, so I hope this rambling is appreciated, too!

Two categories I know of are Black History, after some racist law in the US that banned Black History resources

And Palestine, what with government media giving a super biased view of unfortunately

More information on the three new dream friends for the "Friendship Really Does Shine Like A Star"

If you've yet to read the AU, here's the link for it.

Anyways... this post will provide more info for Gryll, Drawcia and Prince Fluff in this AU! More specifically, how they interact with each other and how they interact with the rest of the dream friends.

You know how in my normal verse, all the dream friends in a wave are buddies? That the wave 1 dream friends are all pals with each other? Same for the wave 2 dream friends being pals with each other, as well as the wave 3 dream friends being pals with each other?

That stays true for this AU. Those friend groups still exist in this AU. And not just that, but these three are a friend group together as well!

Yes. Gryll, Drawcia and Prince Fluff are all buds with one another.

They met and grouped up before they joined Kirby and the rest of the dream friends. This group started by Gryll witnessing a portal open up that Drawcia came out of, and then they both saved Prince Fluff from being subdued by the cult shortly after he left Patch Land to start his quest in helping out. He was incredibly grateful to the both of them for saving him, and that's how these three became buddies.

The bond between these three grew stronger over time. They introduce each other's interests to each other. (Gryll is into board games, magic and trickery, Drawcia is into art of course, while Prince Fluff is of course into yarn and everything else going on in Patch Land)

Gryll and Drawcia are a duo of lunatic women that love causing tomfoolery together. Or at least, to an extent. Sometimes, Drawcia can get ahead of herself, and Gryll has standards and will try to get Drawcia to stop if she goes too far. But otherwise, they love having fun together. Drawcia helps Gryll become a more artistic person.

Gryll is basically a 'big sister' figure to Prince Fluff. She teases him a lot, although she also drags him out of his comfort zone to have some fun. She also respects him a lot for being capable of governing the land he hails from. They like each other's level of spunk, and Gryll lets Fluff playfully mess with her little onion minions sometimes.

Drawcia can either be considered another 'big sister' figure to Fluff, or she can be considered an 'aunt' figure instead. Either way, lol. A lot of collaboration of art and yarn stuff going on between these two. Drawcia was eager to help innovate Patch Land with more paint, and while Fluff was hesitant at first, he relented and gladly allowed it.

Drawcia has grown a soft spot for both Gryll and Fluff to the point she's protective of them. If you hurt either of them, she'll destroy you. Both Gryll and Fluff definitely appreciate her very much for that.

Kirby loves all three of them as he's super glad and thankful that they joined him on that big adventure. Fluff has always been buds with Kirby, and that's still going on strong! Gryll nowadays loves doting on Kirby and gives him noogies. Drawcia became friends with Kirby during that adventure, and they've been on great terms ever since.

Now, how do these three interact with the rest of the dream friends? I'm to begin going over that! Although I'm not going to write dynamics for how they interact with all of them on an individual basis... that'd make this post insufferably long, so I'll do lots of summarizations and mention highlights that are worth mentioning.

Gryll gets along very well with some of the other ex-villain dream friends. She's especially close buddies with Marx and Magolor, as she's their favorite candidate of a third person to form a mischief trio with. She's friends with Taranza, too, as they got together for their overlapping nature interests. Susie is a little bit more distant by comparison, but she and Gryll also get along pretty well by virtue of the mutual friends they share. Gryll likes Daroach as well, as the two of them have a knack for deliberately pulling fast ones on each other.

Most of the team doesn't have any real issues with Gryll. Dedede, Bandee and Meta Knight are fine with her. As are Adeleine, Ribbon, Gooey and the animal friends. The dream friend that Gryll gets along with the most poorly is Dark Meta Knight, as she sometimes pranks him and he hates it. He hates Marx and Magolor for annoying the heck out of him with emo jokes, and Gryll's joined them in doing that.

When the Mage Sisters joined the team, they came to like Gryll! The one that Gryll gets along with the best is Flamberge due to sharing similarly high energy. They all enjoy Gryll's cackle, as it's alike theirs.

Drawcia is by far the most contentious one out of this trio when it comes to interacting with the other dream friends. While she's "redeemed" in at least being friends with Kirby, she's still an incredibly morally grey and unhinged person to the point it puts some of the team on edge about her. Combine that with the fact she has by far the most unhinged laughter out of anyone in the team and that she's huge in size (she's literally just as big as wasp Sectonia), a lot of the other dream friends are honestly pretty afraid of her.

That even includes Adeleine. Despite the fact that she and Drawcia have the thing in common where they're both really into art, she's honestly still a bit uncomfortable of the gigantic paint sorceress. The banshee laughter and chaotic tendencies of Drawcia is more than enough to put even the fellow younger human artist quite on edge.

Prince Fluff is unafraid of her because she saved him when he was under attack.

The only ones in the team that aren't afraid of Drawcia at all are Marx, Susie, Taranza, Daroach and DMK. Among them, Drawcia has been able to form friendships with Marx, Taranza, Daroach, and a decent acquaintanceship with Susie. Marx enjoys Drawcia's levels of unhinged-ness, Daroach thinks she's quite cool, and Taranza likes her because he likes big scary women ahahahahahahaha. Susie being best friends with Taranza allows her to get along okay with Drawcia.

Imagine Magolor hiding behind either Taranza or Susie at the sight of Drawcia.

When the Mage Sisters switch sides, they aren't really afraid of Drawcia. Or... mostly. Flamberge and Francisca are fine with her. Zan Partizanne on the other hand is cagey around Drawcia, because she's weak to paint. And she remembers when Drawcia kicked her butt HARDCORE when she was still the enemy. So uh.... lololol yeah!

Prince Fluff was very curious to know all of the various dream friends. He grew to like many of them! He of course remembers Dedede and Meta Knight back in the day, and he's come to quite like Adeleine, Ribbon, the animal friends and Taranza. He ESPECIALLY loves Bandee and Gooey. Fluff considers both of them to be his homies.

That being said, Fluff is a little bit conflicted when it comes to the ex-villain dream friends excluding Taranza. He likes Taranza for having similar royalty vibes like him, but the others put him on edge a little bit. He's weirded out by the behaviors of Magolor and Susie. He's a bit uncomfortable of Daroach and DMK due to their shady aura, and he especially thinks Marx is too much with his wildly chaotic nature.

Which makes it ironic that he's buddies with Drawcia, but again the reason why they became close is because she saved him from getting rekt by the cult one time.

Fluff got pissed off at a few of the pranks that Marx pulled on him.

But Fluff knows that Gryll is friends with some of these other ex-villains, and so he tries his best to not be rude around them. Thankfully, Gryll became courteous enough to help Fluff keep his distance around some of them, especially Marx. In fact... Fluff even came to the decision that he doesn't really want Marx, DMK and Daroach to visit Patch Land. Marx and DMK for self-explanatory reasons, and Daroach out of fear that he might rob from Patch Land.

Honestly, even after the Mage Sisters joined the team, Fluff is still not a fan of them. He was EXTREMELY angry when they kidnapped Kirby while they were still the enemy, to the point he's had a hard time forgiving them for it. He's accepted them for at least wanting to do better now, but he still doesn't really want to be near them, and he wouldn't really want for them to visit Patch Land either. That he's still cagey around them because they kidnapped Kirby shows how much he stans Kirby!

After Forgotten Land, Elfilin came to like Fluff and Gryll. He thinks Drawcia is terrifying, however. Whoop. Sorry to Drawcia that she failed to make a friendship with Elfilin. She's kinda scary and mean.

I think that's basically it for this post.

Out of my AUs, I think "Friendship Really Does Shine Like A Star!" can be considered one of my more ambitious ones since it's massively rewriting Star Allies' events, slightly rewriting Forgotten Land, and introducing a whole new dream friend wave during Star Allies' events.

As the sun slowly rose after we talked all night about what Daniel has experienced the last 4 months, it was my turn, to tell him what I did, while he was gone...

What I can say? 😞... He was devastated. It wasn’t really my pregnancy or the fact that I get a baby by someone else, what has made him so upset, but rather the... circumstances that led to it and how it all came about. All our probs were caused by that damn attack/assault on us, 8 months ago. This thing has traumatized us. We both had difficulty processing it.

My parents told him I was dating Nico. The day he came back, he talked to them. He asked questions. And now, D. wanted to know from me, why I even met Nico? Did I call him? Or he me? How did we get there? Well, the stranger I met online... 🤦‍♀️

Daniel: He did it all on purpose! He pretended to be a stranger playing Sims with you. I mean how sick is that?... Did you know it was him? Did you lie to me? Be honest!

Me: No, I swear I didn't know!!! You know the whole story, I showed you everything he texted me. And he didn’t plan on breaking us up. He never meant to see me, he knew I loved you and we were married. He even helped me make up with you. It wasn’t until weeks after you left, that Nico started giving me more and more clues about his true identity. Listen D., he tried to distract me. I was always sad. I was looking for you everywhere with Alex. I was devastated! And I also relapsed, really bad, I fucked up sm. 🤦‍♀️😞

Daniel: You want to divorce me. Everything breaks dwon.... This is worse than the shit my crazy mother did to me. You and me... that wasn’t planned to end this way! It should never end!

Me: I'm so sorry. I don’t want it to end either. That’s why I married you, I love you, but-...... how’s this gonna work?

Daniel: You love him, not me! Otherwise, you’d just stay here. But you decided to divorce me and start a new life with him. So go! Go to him!..... What the fuck are you waiting for?

Me: No, I’m not leaving. I can’t leave you alone now. I’ll stay with you, as long as you need me.

Daniel: Damn, stay away from me!!.... Leave me alone, or I might say something I don’t want.

I couldn’t leave him alone. So I just stood aside somewhere in a corner, looking down, while Daniel left the living room. I touched my belly. I apologized to my Baby for the hatred I felt for myself at that moment. I was disgusted with myself. I resented myself for constantly repeating the same, damn mistakes. I never wanted to hurt Daniel!! He deserved me to stay with him and live our fucking lives the way it used to be. I have to find a solution!

Half an hour later, I went over to Daniel to look after him. And.....huh? Is Daniel cuddling his old teddy bear??? 🤨😄

Me: Daniel?..You ok?... You... need a huggie? 😳😬

Daniel: Nah, I just don't wanna see you. And why's that old dust catcher here? He also smells like you.

Me: I found him at your house the last time we were there. Your sister said it was yours once. And the other day when I was home, I found him in my closet. I gave him a little makeover. I cleand him and put some of my perfume on him. And yea, he's cute I wanted to keep him.

Daniel: I hate that teddy bear. He disappointed me when I was 7, just like you now. 😒

Me: Um... that's just a toy, Daniel. How can a teddy bear disappoint you? 🤨

Daniel: I got him when I was five. My crazy mother kept locking me in the closet as you know. He was my bud, who was allowed to accompany me. And whenever I was alone in our damn house, I was less afraid, bcs he was there too. But on my 7th birthday I found out who gave me that teddy bear. It was one of those damn witches my mother met at her fucking clut-parties. That woman also told me my teddy bear was not a boy as I thought, it was a girl! She showed me the label. And well, at 7 I could read. The label said, "Susi the bear." I was totally disappointed. He wasn’t my friend anymor, just a fucking traitor! A damn witch, Susi, like one of my mothers odd followers. 😠

Me: Sorry. I didn’t know, I’m gonna put him away. 😞

Daniel: Take it with you! Maybe your soccer player's gonna be happy about it. Kind of like a trophy for him. He’s an athlete, he should like that. 🤷‍♂️

Me: I’ll save your old teddy bear for my Baby. I thought one day, we could give it to our own baby, but if I had only guessed, I would be pregnant by someone else.... I-...agh, Daniel. I'm so sorry. I wish it was.................... otherwise. 😢I could stay with you, but what should I say to Nico? I can’t hurt him, and I don’t want to hurt you either. Really not! But I’ll find a solution. I won’t let you down.

Daniel: I don’t want....your solution. I want my girl to myself. I'm not gonna share you with him. I ain't like Philip, damn it! So just go!

I went out to our roof. I wanted to take Daniel’s laundry off the cloth-line. I wanted to help him and be there for him. But Daniel was annoyed.

Daniel: Hey! Don't you hear?... What are you still doing here?

Me: I wanna be there for you. I’m just helping you.

Daniel: I don’t need you as a cleaning lady or maid! I need my... wife!

Me: I’m not going! This is my home too!

Daniel: Fine! I’ll give you an hour. If you’re still there, I’ll lock the door. Then, you really have to stay here,.... overnight! I won’t unlock the door until tomorrow.🤨

Me: I have a key, you smart guy. 😒

Daniel: Not anymore, know-it-all. 🤨 Besides, I’m stronger than you.

Me: You’re gonna handcuff me?

Daniel: The clock's ticking. One hour! Decide!

Part One

Please Note: This will end up being a Kris x Reader! However, this IS a slow burn, so romantic elements may not show up until later. Thank you!

"So, if you've been watching us for a while, you gotta know the future." Susie nudges me for an answer.

"Not really. This is all new to me." Keeping up a conversation is one thing, but doing that while traversing an unfamiliar dark world? Yeah, not really an easy feat. First, we wandered through an oddly alluring wooden door painted green. Now that we're in, all I can really make out is a long yet familiar feeling hallway. The kind you'd find in a distant childhood home. Pictures of family hung from the soft maple walls, the floors creaked every few steps, and the scent of vanilla wafted through.

"Smells like..." Ralsei tries to pick up on the scent, but Susie is quick to bolt down the hallway, "CAKE!!"

"WAIT! Susie!" Ralsei is quick to give chase, both of them leaving me to wander the hall. Running felt like the right thing to do- I badly want to bolt after them! But the sense of home slows me down to a sensible walk. There isn't really any rush, is there? A soft melody plays through the corridor of someone else's hall of memory.

It... Even reminds me of a familiar home. A stable one.

It took but a few minutes to arrive at a three way split. "Are we really doing split off stories again?" I shake my head. As if the last chapter didn't spend enough time away from the main cast... All three have different footprints down their halls. The left has tiny hoofprints decorating the floor, the middle has frantic boot marks, while the right looks smeared. As if someone had struggled through.

I try the left path first. That's probably where Ralsei went, right?

"Ralsei? Bud, where are-"

"Chu!"

!!!

Battle music began- but no battle screen shows up?! All I see is a pair of eyes on a vaguely bunny shaped dust cloud. Despite what size dust should realistically be, it's just about as tall as me! How am I supposed to fight this thing?

"I-I'll... Defend?"

I try my best to say my action and cover my face with my arms. And yet, nothing truly shows up to indicate I've taken action. Rather, the grey cloud of rabbit makes its move. Removing a carrot shaped duster, it reaches right over my head and-

THUNK!

...

Connection [FOUND]

...

The feeling of space isn't nearly as cold as I thought it would be. It's like being inside a big warm tub of water without drowning. I can't see much around me, mostly blues and dark purples swarming around and a distant blackened figure.

"Are you... There?"

My voice isn't my own. No words even leave my mouth. And yet, as if they were a psychic, two hesitant ruby red eyes look up on the other side.

"What are you doing here?" A raspy, masculine voice answers with their own question.

"What do you mean? I thought this was my dream!"

"You aren't dreaming. You died."

A cold fear runs through my body. Died? But- I just barely got to live! I haven't even started my real life outside of this game! I want to scream, cry, and plead with any God out there to hear me... But nothing musters up my body to act. And so, the figure continues.

"This is where I first met you... When you took over my life. If you had ANY sense, you would have never taken interest in me!" The figure stands from their spot, peering down towards me from their distance. Now it's crystal clear- That yellow and green striped shirt, that brown hair...

"And now you're dead. But, not really, are you? You actually get chances to come back. Again and again. So when you come back..." They take a few steps closer just to look over me.

"D o n ' t f i n d m e."

Connection [TERMINATED]

"(Y/N)...!" I can barely hear the soothing voice calling to me. "(Y/N)! Are you okay?" I'm almost there. Almost able to answer...

"(Y/N)!"

"I'm here-! I'm-" I sit right up, feeling my body all over. That's... Right. I AM here. Alive again. But, I don't remember pressing on...?

"Thank goodness you're okay! I found you being eaten by a dust bunny, but... They don't exactly HAVE stomachs... Somehow, it did leave a nasty mark on your head. When I used a healing prayer, it left... A scar. I apologize for that-"

Before he can even finish, I pull him in for a tight and shaky hug. Whether it was my own choice or Ralsei's quick thinking, I can actually get another chance. Find out just where Kris is and find my way out of here. If a dust bunny can kill me in one blow, I hate to think about what could happen later...

You leave the phone on the counter and run out of the kitchen. It's not the first time Susie has been yelled at by an idiotic customer who claims their chicken was undercooked. But the restaurant isn’t even open yet.

“Camila, I called the cops. I won’t tolerate you yelling at me in my own restaurant. Not again,” your grandma says, raising a steel ladle in Camila’s direction.

You know she’s not going to hit her, but just in case today is the first time, you step between the two women.

“Oh, great. The heir of your restaurant.” Camila says, taking off her glasses.

You look at her, observing how she looks at your grandma, as if she were better than Susie.

“Camila.” She only nods, turning her head once again towards your grandma. “Why are you yelling at her this time?”

“She stole another one of my recipes!”

“I haven’t stolen anything, Camila. You’re just jealous that my restaurant is better than yours!” Susie replies, raising his voice and moving the ladle around.

You sigh, taking the ladle away from her. “This again, Camila? My grandma hasn’t stolen anything.”

“Nobody asked your opinion, little one.”

“Don’t talk to my granddaughter like that!”

You’re about to grab your grandma’s arm and move her a few steps backwards when the door opens again, and two of Camila’s grandkids step inside the local.

“Abuela, you can’t just leave like that," Miguel says, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Besides, there’s no point in arguing with these… recipe-stealing people.”

You raise an eyebrow. “Say what again?”

“I said what I said," he retorts, eyeing you from head to toe, and makes you feel like you're worth nothing.

“We didn’t steal shit, for fuck’s sake.” You groan, leaving the ladle behind so you don’t get tempted to throw it at his head. “I think you’re all way too grown up to still believe your grandma’s lies.”

Mickey’s younger sister, Charlie, steps forward, the soles of her shoes resonating all over the empty restaurant. “My abuelita isn’t a liar, you idiot. Yours is the stealer!”

Rolling your eyes, you pinch the bridge of your nose. “I haven’t been disrespectful to any of you, so I expect you to act the same way.”

“Charlie, shut up,” Mickey tells, pushing her behind him. He stands in front of you, looking as if he wanted to say more things than he’s allowed to say. “And you don’t have the right to opine about me or my family.”

You poke your finger into his chest. “And you don’t have the right to walk into my restaurant and tell me what I can or what I can’t do. So you better walk out here before your big sis gets here to save your ass. Like always.”

Mickey lets out a sarcastic, airy laugh, his black curls shaking with the movement. “You always need to have the last word, right?”

“And you always need to throw a sarcastic comment, right?”

“I fucking hate you," he mutters, turning around when the door opens again, Rosa walking in.

“Feeling’s mutual. Now, please, get the fuck out of here before we call the real cops.”

Rosa shakes her head, opening the door and calling for the rest of her family. They all leave, only Mickey stays behind, looking at you. “Don’t leave the door open next time.”

“Is it my fault that your grandma wants to come here and yell at mine?”

“It’s your fault if you don’t close the door.”

“Jerk.”

“Idiot,” he says, closing the door behind him.

You only know two Mickeys, your friend and this idiot. How can two people who have the same name be so different? It’s unbelievable. And speaking of Mickey, you need to have a serious conversation with him.

Hes an interstellar freight driver who crash lands on a death planet with toxic air and makes it back home so he can see his wife and kids again. While on the death planet he finds a cool bottlecap and saves it for his son :) Then when he gets back, his company is bankrupt because his coworker Louie ate a whole shipment of golden carrots and blamed space pirate bunnies. The President of the freight company sells off Olimars cool ship he just pieced back together on the death planet, then the president sees the cool bottlecap is worth more than a years wages and decides "oh yeah I'll take that as a company asset now and sell it to pay out debts, also you and the new hire are going back to the death planet from treasure hunting". And then while there Louie tries to eat every enemy including a ghost which probably possesses him. In any case Louie is heavily implied to end up trying to kill Olimar by piloting the final boss. Olimar just puts up with so much shit and despite it all he still has time to dedicate to his apparent interest of taxonomical research. He almost dies and took the time to think "hey this would be a cool gift for my son" hes so precious he deserves the world i love him"

Ah yes, always a grand idea :D!

I'm gonna try and keep what I say here reasonably fresh as I don't feel like repeating what I've said about the bounciest boi in the past, though if anyone wants me to repeat myself lemme know because I'll definitely do it hehe :>.

I just wanna gush about Rouxls Kaard in terms of Lancer for a bit, firstly because I haven't done this much to begin with, and secondly because I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THESE TWO. Rouxls I don't care how much you complain about Lancer it's obvious you care for the kid's well being and you SHOULD because said kid is a pure precious cinnamon roll who couldn't hurt a mosquito. Every time I see fanart depicting Rouxls as being a parental guardian of sorts for Lancer it makes me melt because it's so PRECIOUS, honestly keeping an eye on Lancer is one of the only things Rouxls Kaard is good--or at least decent--at. And you can't tell me the "Lesser Dad" nickname isn't adorable, if you don't find that adorable then you have issues. I don't know if I've ever brought up this "surrogate guardian" sort of thing going on between these characters but I am now! 10/10, both Rouxls Kaard & Lancer are too beloved for this world, 'nuff said. (<- I still prefer Spade King as an overall parent/guardian don't worry lol.)

Speaking of Spade King though, I really like the situation he & Lancer are currently in father/son relationship-wise. It is pretty depressing at the moment, but that's honestly what makes it work. I love seeing new family dynamics in Deltarune, something fresh y'know? It's an entirely different scenario with more recent characters. I know how beloved the Dreemurr family are in the UT/DR community, and they're amazing characters for sure, but I really prefer Spade King & Lancer's dynamic. It feels more REAL. The events themselves aren't that realistic ofc, but the emotions & reactions both sides have feel more reasonable. I'm not sure if this is even making sense and I'm going on a tangent anyway.

But yeah, back to Spade King & Lancer. I love how we're actively going to SEE both characters (hopefully) work out their differences and begin to mend that relationship. And we also will likely see how each side's current situation affects them, likely in more ways than one. Sure, both Lancer & Spade King are mostly hiding such things behind a facade, but you KNOW it's there. And THAT is what makes it so impactful. You know both characters are going through such inner turmoil, especially Lancer. His father literally hates the only friends he's ever had, and that puts poor ol' Lancer smack in the middle of everything. It's like that feeling you get when two close friends are fighting and you're the mutual third party, but multiplied SO many times. Honestly, I've said it before, and I will say it again; a breakdown of SOME sort HAS to happen to Lancer at some point. I doubt Spade King will have such a moment because Spade King, but he'll still feel it inwardly I'm sure. There is no feasible way a literal CHILD can carry on the burden of so much without crumbling under the pressure.

Which brings me to something that I admittedly have mentioned before, but I just have to bring it up again. Lancer has gone through SO MUCH for a child his age. It's doesn't matter what age you headcannon Lancer as: What he has and is currently going through are things NO child should experience, EVER. I'm not even talking about only the Spade King situation anymore, I'm talking about EVERYTHING. What makes all Lancer has been through that much worse is the fact of him being AWARE of it all. He's not oblivious, and he's not clueless either. He's ASTONISHINGLY observant, ESPECIALLY for his age. I would even argue Lancer is one of the most observant Deltarune characters so far, even if he never announces it. He certainly hints at it here and there, like when he told Kris, Susie, & Ralsei that the other Darkners aren't major fans of him.

This entire thing makes me think of a line Lancer said during his battle alongside Susie with Kris & Ralsei. The first time you, as the player, tell Ralsei to "give the final blow of kindness" to Lancer, Susie blocks it off so Lancer can't hear. And Lancer says he's "blissfully ignorant". Call me crazy, but I don't think that specific phrase was an accident. Of course, Deltarune is only a game after all, so it was Toby Fox who put that line in. But if we think about this through the perspective of Lancer himself, I see him stating what he WISHES he was. He WISHES he was "blissfully ignorant" from everything around him: knowing the fact of the other Darkners not liking him to dealing with an impossibly complex parenting situation and everything in between.

See, I think there's a very unique tragedy with Lancer. One that most characters Toby Fox has created haven't been able to replicate. Think of Asriel from Undertale for a minute. Asriel had loving PARENTS, plural, and he even got a sibling in the form of Chara for a time. Asriel's entire family was well-respected and loved by the other monsters, and for the longest time, Asriel didn't have a lot of burdens to bear. It was only at the short time leading up to & including his own DEATH, & what came after, where things started to go downhill. Asriel essentially had it all while he was alive, then lost it upon death.

And now, think of Lancer. I would say Lancer is the exact opposite of Asriel in this way. First, Lancer's family is a crumbled mess. He barely knows his mother--Queen--has a biological father in the form of Spade King, who was (and certainly is) likely not a perfect parent, and that really only leaves Rouxls Kaard as a somewhat decent parental guardian. Already, we see a major difference. And once we broaden our view and see both kingdoms with their citizens, well, Asriel and Lancer could not possibly be more opposite. There was not ONE Darkner Lancer felt appreciated by, save for those above him in power & position, which is really only Spade King (ignoring the other Kings when they ruled). The ONLY time Lancer felt genuine connection with others was the day Kris & Susie first appeared in the Dark World. That is IT. Generally, in terms of how his current life has been so far, Lancer's is far from ideal. Hence, Lancer & Asriel are opposites in this case.

I think I've run out of things to say as far as this post goes lol, and it's already preeetty long. Though, let's end this post on a high note! Lancer has actual friends now, friends who will stand by for whatever support he may need. Heck, if Kris, Ralsei, & Susie--especially Susie--were all willing to respect Lancer's wishes and attempt to resolve everything peacefully with Spade King in Chapter 1, who KNOWS what's to come in future chapters! I for one can't wait to see where Lancer's story goes :)!

Starz has promoted Sam more than Cait in the last 3 seasons, even allowed MIK and now this latest 6 part series but it's not enough with this woman. She's alarmingly obsessed,

So we're coming back out from where humans fell. I find it's amazing how that Mo guy has a ladder so big it'll actually get us outta here this way! And that it somehow fit hidden in his stand. Luckily even if someone isn't good at climbing there's always the flower bed to fall back on! Heh... Just don't fall on me.

*Once everyone gets up to the surface, Flowey looks all around himself cautiously. Who knows if people are following them again or planning a surprise attack in advance.*

So, where do you think Clover and their soldier gang would be? Do we know where we're going? If we don't find them, how are we going to tell them we "surrender" and came to the surface "peacefully?"

2. Fuck Joel Maisel, being shitty about Midge’s drink choice. “Yikes. We’ll work on that.” WHAT A HORRIBLE THING TO SAY TO ANOTHER PERSON!

3. I have so many thoughts on that one line. That maybe Midge WAS, at one point in her life, just maybe a little sweet, if a little rebellious, and Joel decided he was going to turn her into what he wanted out of a woman.

62. One criticism of Moishe I totally agree with is how horrible it was for him to take back the apartment. His grandchildren were growing up in that apartment. Their safety and security should have come first. Not that Midge didn’t have anywhere to take them, Abe and Rose’s place is perfectly fine, and they spend plenty of time in Queens, once the Maisels move, but still. Those kids didn’t desserve to be jerked around that way, no matter how Midge and Joel (mostly Joel) were acting.

63. I never realized even back in the 50′s/60′s you had to pay for temple seats on high holy days. Fuck I’m so glad I never bothered with synagogue as an adult. As if life isn’t expensive enough.

64. Abe’s “My suits are good” shrug makes me happy. I know Tony Shalhoub isn’t Jewish, and as much as I wish they would have found someone who was...he does a good job of playing Abe as a Jewish man.

100. I tried to find the gif of Lenny’s face when she comes over to nom those pretzels and failed. It’s so good though.

101. also the face Lenny gives her when she walks over to sit down? I have been on the receiving end of that face from other people. I know it well. It’s happened.

102.We’re supposed to see the Friar’s Club in season 5. I dunno how that’s gonna go, but. I guess we’ll see.

103. I love Harry Drake. I hope we get a little more of him in season 5.

107. He’s so nice to her. The real Kitty Bruce has talked about how incredibly sweet her father was, and I love that we see shades of that in the show. He’s got a ton of problems, but there is so much kindness there.

108. And it’s in complete contrast to what we see from Joel in just a minute.

109. He gives her a joint as a lil gift. For later. Shit isn’t cheap. Kindness.

110. “WAIT WAS I SUPPOSED TO MAKE A PASS AT YOU?!” Love it.

111. Good job, Midge. You did good.

112. This flashback was in such a strange place. It felt really disjointed the first time I saw it. But again, it’s an interesting contrast between Lenny doing some light emotional lifting for Midge (The cab, the sympathy over her busted marriage, the joint, the parting joke to make her laugh) and Joel (letting Midge take care of him as usual).

113. Midge rollin’ up in the middle of the night, still a little buzzed. To this asshole.

114. And she liiiieeeesssss yessssss. Lie to him. He doesn’t deserve to know you got high with Lenny Bruce.

115. I’ve said this before. His “I don’t care what you needed the money for” is such crap. You SHOULD care. If you care about her, WHY DON’T YOU CARE?! Is it because you trust her? Or because you only care about yourself? I can’t tell.

116. “I’m thinking of giving it another go.” No sorry. No nothing. Just expecting to be let back into her life. Fuck’s sake.

118. Good for Midge telling him no. Because he fucked up and he’s not even fucking sorry. HE IS NOT SORRY! And she knows it. And he left.

119. Look at this piece of shit run away. Just. Not even an argument. Not even trying to change her mind. Just shakes his head and walks off like that piece of garbage he truly is.

120. Maybe that’s harsh. But he didn’t even try. Because he’s not sorry. He just wants to live comfortably again. He doesn’t care that he hurt her.

121. HE DOES NOT CARE THAT HE HURT MIDGE. Anyone who actually cared would not act like this.

122. And Abe finally understands just how terribly hurt Midge is. Though I’m not sure if that look on his face is because he’s hurting for her, or because his ploy to get them back together failed. Maybe both.

123. I love this episode. It is an al-time favorite. It establishes Midge and Lenny as friends with a new, but solid bond. It has some great Susie moments, and a great Midge set. Great stuff with Abe and Rose and Abe and Moishe. It’s so solid. I think it might be my favorite season 1 episode. <3
