Magalor and Friends Au oneshot

It’s a oneshot idea I had. It’s not canon. Just Marx angst hehe

Hiding the Monster Inside

(Warning: this story contains, mention of blood, body horror, mention of self harm. choking and mental issues as well as manipulation and verbal, physical and psychological abuse .)

Marx ran as fast as his feet could take him. He had no ida where to go or where to hide. Crap crap crap, why now, why why why.

Marx could hear his friends in the distance calling to him, but he kept running. He couldn't face them…not now. He ran into the hall of mirrors and just curled up yelling in frustration. He looked up to see those eyes, those horrible black cold crazy eyes and that horrible smirk. He growled and slammed his hands on the glass and cried trying to make it go away. HE wasn’t supposed to gain control again…he was supposed to hurt anyone. He remembered what happened it played in his head like a movie.

Susie and Taranza were working on a performance and i was supposed to go next. I was trying to keep calm, my anxiety was high. But i refused to tell them. I went next and i did okay…bu unfortunately they came up to me to see what as wrong. I just tried to brush them off but susie wouldn't let it go. I could feel HIM talking in my head, telling me things…bad things. Susie grabbed me and when she wouldn't let me go…suddenly everything went blank. I remember…the blood…her scream. Taranza and Magalors yells. I opened my eyes and….oh god. I saw her eyes they were afraid of me, they looked scared. I saw her arm bleeding and then i took off running.

I just growled and slammed my hands on the mirror walls in frustrations “WHY, WHY WHY WHY. why did YOU have to ruin everything…..they…they will never forgive me”

As he cries he hears an eerie familiar voice.It was his voice…but more…darker voice as the tone is laced with malicious and false kindness “ aww. Poor little Marxy. Once again alone. Hehe. i told you soooo”

Marx growled as he looked up. He sees a different version of him in the mirrors. The darker figure had long fangs big wings like Marx’s but with a more demonic form. Big black soulless eyes and his hat was dark purple and blue with different patterns on it. The clone smirked as Marx growled and said “ …s-shut up….go away”

The darker clone curled around the mirrors around him like a shadow, marx hated this guy. He tried to ignore him but Soul Marx smirks “ You cant keep me away Marxy boy. We both know that. I’m apart of you…thanks to your silly wish to take over Popstar, Reeeemebber” he says in a teasing tone

Marx growled and faced the Soul Marx with tears as he said “ A wish I REGRET. you were never supposed to be alive or gain your own conscious. Your nothing but a shadow….you…you wont win this”

Soul Marx laughs with a hint of sadism as he to Marx’s horror comes out of the mirrors as a shadow. He looms over Marx with a toothy smile as he circled him and poked him with his claws on his hands “Oh REALLLY. Cause how i see it. I already did. I warned you of what would happen if you didn't just let me take control. And look what happened…YOU hurt one of your “friends”

Marx growls and tris to act brave but this guy unnerved him “t-that…that WAS NOT my fault….YOU-”

Soul Marx grabs him by the neck and starts to squeeze his throat. Marx’s eyes went wide as he struggled. Soul marx growls “ I DID NOTHING. Susie saw YOU hurt her. Taranza saw YOU hurt susie….this is all on YOU. and who will believe you. What will Magalor think of you”

Marx’s eyes widened as he started to tear up and shake. The memories of the blood, the fear in his friends eyes…they flashed before his eyes as he started to tear up again. He looked to the ground.

Soul Marx smirked and chuckled “that's what i thought. Your pathetic” he throws Marx in to the mirror and Marx says nothing. Soul Marx then went up and whispered in Marx’s ear “You will NEVER belong…YOU will always be a monster. So, be a GOOD BOY and listen to me this time or ELSE. do i make myself clear Marxy”

Marx whimpered and nodded, his body hurting. Soul marx soon slinks into the shadows or the mirror again with a toothy grin. Leaving Marx alone. He gets up, clenches his fists and immediately begins to slam his fists on the mirrors multiple times. He doesn't care if he bleeds…he just, he justs wants to feel pain. Cause right now…he feels numb inside.

Hi. So I’m not a Layton guy and all THAT familiar with the lore, but a close friend of mine is, and as far as I understand Layton has a dead girlfriend? Can I please know who Magolor’s dead girlfriend equivalent in this AU is? I’m legitimately so curious. /pos

I have been thinking A LOT about which Kirby character would fit Claire's (dead gf) role. In the end I chose Taranza bc I feel he and Claire are the most similar in character. They're both really good at what they do (Claire: brilliant scientist - Taranza: immaculate mage), quick thinkers, humble, and have a lot of love to give.

I'll explain more under the cut (along with images of Claire and younger Layton for design ref), but Taranza could've also fit in as a couple other characters bc I made Sectonia as Descole. In this essay I will-

In Kirby there's an interesting connection between Magolor and Taranza. Primarily based on that one Magolor portrait in that haunted house in Triple Deluxe (like ok huh????) and also that one Star Allies Wave 3 illustration.

With that portrait existing, to me it implies that Magolor has met Taranza and Sectonia before the events of the game somehow. This theory is further backed up with the Old Friend mask in Merry Magoland. Magolor would HAVE to have known what Joronia looked like before her transformation, and that means he would also have met Taranza too at that time. I could be completely wrong about this HAHA but those are my thoughts on that.

When Wave 3 was announced, I didn't think much on the connection of the 3 characters other than they were from the first three core games of modern Kirby. But then they posted this art piece.

It's so cute how Magolor and Taranza combined their magic to create a shield for Kirby!! Both of their respective magic circle designs are melded together perfectly. Did they practice together on their own to perform this or was that a lucky in-the-moment occurrence? Either way, they must know and understand each other's magic abilities to a decent extent. Like how both Claire and Layton understands each other's careers and goals. Layton is a professor in archeology. Claire is a scientist researching time travel and other stuffs. Those fields go hand in hand, and the two do what they can to support and improve each other's passions.

Now onto the other characters that Taranza would've fit as and reasons why I ended up putting him as Claire.

So I put Sectonia as Descole. Descole has an extremely loyal partner/butler/henchman named Raymond. Yea Taranza would easily fit as him, but a few things made me decide not to. Descole may appear cold and not show it, but even in his madness he cares for Raymond. He does order Raymond around, but he still gives Raymond freewill to do as he pleases. Sectonia is very controlling over Taranza. If Raymond were to make mistakes, I don't see Descole punishing him for them. Sectonia would. She blasted Taranza away for mistaking Dedede as the hero of the lower world. Maybe when she was Joronia she wouldn't and wasn't as controlling but....I feel we don't have the full story on their relationship. I also focused more on Sectonia's overall in-game personality. I absolutely love seeing the two spiders enjoying each other's company and having fun, but in-game we never really got what Joronia really thought of Taranza. As Sectonia, she saw him as a disposable servant. You can say her personality was corrupted by the mirror, but I personally believe the mirror actually amplified her negative feelings and views. Negative emotions are brought up a lot in Kirby lore. I personally find that more interesting than just the mirror possessing her or something. I may be very wrong on that, but those are what I thought about.

Last reason, which is uhm, Raymond saves Descole from death FGDHSJ I don't think I need to elaborate on that. It would be so neat and ironic to have Taranza as Raymond, but I also wanna keep things in line as possible with Kirby lore canon.

Yet, who could be Raymond then? Idk fgdsj that's why I struggled so much. If Claire wasn't an option, Taranza would've been Raymond.

Now the one other character Taranza could've fit as is Descole's late wife. His wife was never mentioned by name, to my memory, and didn't have a huge role in the games. There's not enough information on who she was. I wanted to give Taranza a fitting role in personality and importance.

So in the end after all that thinking, Claire it is! I also don't know who else in the Kirby cast would fit her better and be Professor Magolor's late partner. One may think Susie would fit Claire more, but I've already decided she will be Emmy. Emmy's and Susie's personalities are very similar to me. And Emmy's lore? Fits quite well with Susie's. I'll draw that at some point.

Kirby AU talk: "Friendship Really Does Shine Like A Star!"

This AU heavily rewrites the story of Star Allies, rewrites a small part of the story of Forgotten Land, and does a few more extra things. All the other games that take place before Star Allies and Forgotten Land stay the same.

Four big things happen here:

-The villain group in Star Allies is much more threatening in this AU.

-An extra wave of dream friends accompanies Kirby and co.

-All the dream friends show up in Forgotten Land in post-game.

-Some extra masks are added to Merry Magoland.

Now, let's go into all of this in detail.

Before this AU's Star Allies events begin, there's a prologue of Hyness attempting to use up all the dark energy the cult currently has to power up the Jamba heart in hopes of summoning Void Termina.

However... there's a problem. There's not enough dark energy to activate the Jamba heart. Void Termina cannot be summoned yet.

It's only about 60% complete. The cult needs to expand on its believers to radiate more dark energy to be capable of fully activating the Jamba heart. The cult is going to need to invade planets for this.

And so Hyness orders his three generals, The Three Mage Sisters, to take their armies and invade planets to force people to join the cult against their will. Each Mage Sister has her own respective army of Jammerjabs, and so there are three Jambastion armies out to force expansion for the cult. Hyness will stay at the Divine Terminus to keep watch, as this is the very area where he'll summon Void Termina.

The Mage Sisters start invading a handful of planets with their armies. They relentlessly coerce people in the cult by overpowering them and then throwing corrupted dark hearts at them (like how Kirby throws friend hearts). When someone is joined into the cult by being influenced by a dark heart, it radiates dark energy that the cult will then use to power up the Jamba heart to summon Void Termina.

After invading a planet, the Mage Sisters are then free to run rampant around it, causing random chaos and killing people with their weapons. The planets they invade become stomping grounds.

Planet Earthfall, Planet Misteen, Planet Caverna, Planet Frostak, Planet Towara and Star Lavadom all get conquered by the cult. Not just that, but their respective smaller-sized stars get conquered too.

There still isn't enough dark energy radiated from all those conquests, however. The cult will still need to invade more planets.

After the cult conquers all those planets, Popstar is the next planet that the cult has their eyes on. And it's a much bigger planet than all the previous planets that were conquered, so the cult deduces that it may be able to finally summon Void Termina if it conquers Popstar.

All three of the Mage Sisters come into Popstar with their respective armies in an attempt to dominate the peculiarly star-shaped planet.

This is, of course, when Kirby and all the dream friends get involved. This is when the group eventually bands together to stop the cult.

King Dedede and Meta Knight get captured and are fed dark hearts. Kirby will have to fight them to knock the dark influence out of them.

While Kirby saves Popstar from the cult's domination, the dream friends gradually tag alongside him as they're all trying to fight back as well. They all agree that joining up with Kirby will increase the odds of victory and to finally put the cult in their place. Bandana Waddle Dee is the first one to join Kirby, as they meet up shortly after the grand adventure begins. All of the others then show up at later points.

All the dream friends in the canon Star Allies show up. This, indeed, means the wave 1, wave 2 and wave 3 groups as we know them.

Rick, Kine, Coo, Gooey and Marx show up to join the team early on. Adeleine, Ribbon, Daroach and Dark Meta Knight show up to join the team sometime after Dedede gets saved. Magolor, Taranza and Susie show up to join the team sometime after Meta Knight gets saved.

But the troubles in Popstar aren't over after Meta Knight gets saved. The cult still has strongholds on some places on the planet. The group still has to eliminate those strongholds and chase the Mage Sisters and their armies out of Popstar. And after they get chased out of the planet, three more people then show up to join the star allies.

Yes, that's right. Three more dream friends. An entire new wave of dream friends joins the group. That means even more help! Hooray!

Here are the three extra dream friends that join the group:

Gryll swoops by to join the star allies. This silly onion witch lady was once an adversary to Kirby, but they've made up a long time after. She's a buddy now! She's got many magical powers that she can use to fight the cult with, such as spawning star blocks out of her hands that she can throw in rapid succession, and many other various magic that her broom is able to perform. Gryll seems to enjoy chaos, so she might go a little bit nuts when fighting alongside the others. Gryll also appears to have history with Marx, as they were happy to see each other when she came to join the team shortly before they depart from Planet Popstar.

Drawcia shows up?!? What a surprise!!! She didn't even make up with Kirby before this, but it's still very much appreciated that she seemingly wants to help with the rest! Able to use all the attacks that she did when she fought Kirby a long time ago before this, Drawcia will be sure to make a great asset to the star allies. That being said, though, while Drawcia appears to have softened up a little bit compared to before, she's still incredibly morally grey. She can be considered another 'evil token' star ally, similarly to Dark Meta Knight.

Prince Fluff was hoping for the day he'd assist Kirby in another adventure. He's proud to have finally gotten that chance now! He's a bit of a prideful one. Although Fluff isn't only joining just to feed his ego by adventuring with Kirby again, he's also joining because his home of Patch Land was being threatened by the cult. He found a way to lock up the sock that serves as the gateway to his home to prevent the cult from going there, and then he's ready to join. Fluff can use all the attacks that he used during his adventure with Kirby.

After these three join the team, and after the team leaves Popstar, they go to the Jambastion fortress when they saw the Mage Sisters flee there. They hunt the Mage Sisters down and beat them up again.

But the Mage Sisters still don't give up. They inform that they're still fully intent on getting the dark energy needed to summon their god, and that they've already made a lot of progress in doing so with the handful of planets they've already conquered before this. The time on the Jambastion fortress ends with Zan Partizanne maniacally laughing as she destroys the fortress, forcing the star allies to leave the area and to go save all the planets that the cult has dominated.

The star allies go to each of the corrupted planets one-by-one. They save the planets in mostly the same order as canon, except that Star Lavadom gets visited before Planet Towara. Planet Towara is the last of the conquered planets that the star allies rescues from the cult.

After the star allies free denizens of Planet Towara from the cult's influence, something terrible happens. The Mage Sisters appear to have planned a surprise attack, as they then ambush the star allies, catch them off guard, and they literally kidnap Kirby in the process.

Yes, you heard that right. The Mage Sisters kidnap Kirby. They then fly off, maniacally laughing as they carry the pink puffball with them back to the Jambandran base. This enrages all the other star allies, as they unite closer together with the collective goal to save Kirby.

Although Kirby already gets taken to Hyness before the star allies can get to him. The cult threw a bunch of dark hearts at Kirby, as he was refusing to let himself join the cult, but it still radiated dark energy.

When the star allies show up at the Divine Terminus, they beat up the Mage Sisters and Hyness, and then free Kirby. But after he's freed, Hyness then throws the Mage Sisters and himself onto the Jamba heart in a desperate attempt to power it up, and luckily for them, it just suddenly has enough power to finally summon Void Termina.

The star allies destroy Void Termina. Hyness and the Mage Sisters then end up finding themselves into Another Dimension, which kickstarts events that are very similar to that of the events of HiAD.

HiAD plays out mostly the same in this AU as it does in regular canon, but a difference in the ending. When Kirby throws friend hearts at the four cultists... it appears that there's something wrong.

Francisca, Flamberge and Hyness appear to come out perfectly fine, but Zan Partizanne appears to be seriously injured. She's still alive, but she clearly needs treatment or else she'll eventually die. Hyness and the other two Mage Sisters freak out over this. They profusely apologize to the star allies, and thankfully Kirby forgives them and is willing to help them out in saving Zan's life. Eventually, the cult goes back to their home in Jambandran base just in time while Zan is still alive, and they're able to get the necessary treatment for her to live.

Zan Partizanne survives a close brink of death. And she's then super grateful to the rest of the star allies for helping out in saving her.

Hyness and the Mage Sisters are then onto the star allies' good side.

They, as well as the rest of the star allies, regularly keep in touch with Kirby. This includes Dark Meta Knight and Drawcia, who didn't make up with Kirby before this adventure, but they then became friends with him during it. Kirby grew on everyone in the team afterwards.

All the star allies show up in Forgotten Land after Fecto Elfilis gets defeated. Most of Forgotten Land's events mainly stay the same as in canon, as the main adventure before the Fecto Elfilis fight is not changed. However, after Elfilis is defeated, and when Kirby and Elfilin have to save Leongar, that's when all the star allies show up in Waddle Dee Town, intending to help clean up the mess that occurred.

They all got there through Magolor's ship. The Lor Starcutter was able to locate the place of the Forgotten Land during the events of the main story, and so he gathered up all the other star allies. The Lor traveled through dimensions to get to the Forgotten Land. As they came there and helped clean up the place, they met Clawroline and the others of the Beast Pack. They'd then met Elfilin and Leongar after the latter finally gets saved. Kirby would've needed to help clean up the Forgotten Land otherwise, but it turns out that he doesn't need to. All the other star allies showed up to do exactly just that!

A portal gets set up for people to travel between Popstar and the Forgotten Land literally anytime. This is a gift from the Beast Pack.

When Magolor opens up his amusement park of Merry Magoland some time after, four more masks get added that aren't present in the actual Magoland in RTDL Deluxe. All the 86 masks that show up in the game are still present in this AU's Magoland, but 4 get added.

These four masks are based on Gryll, Prince Fluff, Gorimondo and Sillydillo. Not gonna lie, I'm not sure why they didn't have masks for the latter two when they have masks for the other two in the Beast Pack. And of course, Gryll and Prince Fluff could use Magoland masks since they're in the star allies in this AU.

Now there are 90 masks for Merry Magoland instead of 86.

That's basically it for the major events of this AU. Other than Gryll, Drawcia and Prince Fluff getting accustomed with the rest of the star allies and how those three interact with the others, but that's for another day. I may or may not make a separate post going over that!

With moments like all the star allies showing up to save Kirby after he's kidnapped by the Mage Sisters, and all the star allies showing up at the Forgotten Land through Magolor's ship to clean up the place, the name title given to this AU very much becomes a true statement.

Friendship really does shine like a star!

DMS adopts the name 'Blade' as he tries to fit in with Kirby and the rest of his friends, which ends up being extremely awkward at first.

If anyone decides to come to my inbox and ask something about one of these four AUs, I'd be hugely appreciative! I won't encourage it necessarily, but I'd love to hear people's feedback on any of these.

hey kirby pals! do you know of mary magdalene, jesus' close friend who is arguably best known for being witness to the crucifixion along with (according to mark 16:1) being one of the three women to find the empty tomb the following sunday! furthermore, john:20 claims she was the sole witness to the empty tomb, got two of the disciples, and while crying outside the tomb, got a visit from some gardener who she begged to know where his body went. surprise surprise, the gardener turns out to be the big jc himself! aside from that, she is officially called the 'apostle of apostles'. she is also a woman "from whom seven demons came out" (luke 8:2)*

she, most crucially of all, loved jesus very much, who held the same adoration. their bond was so strong in fact (that along with the unfortunate ways of heteronormativity) that many characterize her as jesus' wife, to the extent in which many people believe she is canonically jesus' wife. however, as far as canon goes, they were two close friends who platonically / spiritually loved each other very much.

hey! there are seven stages in rtdl. weird! hey...merry magoland sounds like... mary magdalene!

so in conclusion, merry magoland is an au where instead of being judas, magolor is the badass best friend of jesus christ (kirby)

(SURPRISE MORE COSTUMES- don’t worry this is the last one I’ll post until next Halloween (or whenever I feel extra goofy) obviously I need to answer the Halloween related ask that’s in my inbox- I forgot to finish it I’m so sorry IN 24 HOURS ILL POST IT)

(But since the last post did SUPER WELL like oh my goodness thank you so much <3333 quick little trivia for you guys regarding their costumes- Taranza bought his costume online, Susie used some of her clothes and just bought some extra accessories, Magolor mostly made his costume from scratch (just had to buy the hat) and Marxs costume is made completely from scratch (he asked for Magolors help like twice-) besides that the stitching pattern shows who did what (Marxs is mostly messy since he isn’t the best when it comes to sewing and Magolors is very neat and is done in smooth clean lines. Man I hope that isn’t important later or anythi-)

(One more thing- Marx was the one who came up with the “dressing up as the fazgang for the fnaf movie” idea, he’s trying to containing his excitement but it’s barely working since every 6 seconds he wants to explode (in a good way)

(Now that the trivia is over you guys get a little doodle based off some videos I’ve seen)

By the time I post this it’s most likely still 2023- I know I haven’t been on my usual schedule recently but honestly? The past 7 months on this account have been the best thing ever for me. I get to share my silly ideas for my silly au and you guys come on by and enjoy it.

and to think that this account has come so far and the stories I have in mind aren’t even out yet. It’s just so crazy to me. Not to mention I actually managed to make some friends, something I thought I would never be able to do anymore because I’m too scared to post/reach out to people. (WOAH HEH GUYS LONG TIME SO SEE- this was going to be a short answer but i was like fuck it we ball and did a little backstory comic)

(I will say this right now any kind of asks/questions related to Magolors mom/family will be ignored. Not because I don’t wanna answer them but because I have no damn clue what kind of lore I have and this whole bit is pretty messy on its own- BUT- I’ll give a little lore dump for Magolors mom/Magolors family but that’s all you get unless if I feel extra)

-Magolor was alone most of his life- his mom was absent and don’t ask about the dad I never thought of him (he doesn’t exist)

- most of the ideas I came up with were all based off “daughter of evil” it’s a pretty good song and thats how I came up with Magolor mother lore- and maybe a little bit of cai but shhhhh don’t tell anyone-

- like I wrote before- yes his mom was absent/neglectful- was it intentional? No not really she spent a mass chunk of her life ruling halcandra (and taking the crown)- but this lead to Magolor basically almost forgetting about her completely- yes if you ask him about his parents he will answer “yeah I had a mom” but that’s about it

- if the last image wasn’t a dead giveaway she too had a crown obsession (like mom like son /j)- except it took full control over her and the people had to resort to execution just to get the damn crown off (but it doesn’t matter- dead or not the crown successfully took her soul)

(And that’s all I have- it’s very messy in very much aware but I don’t think i plan on jumping back into her lore anytime soon (hence why I don’t want any asks related to her- but maybe if I feel nice I’ll do a character portrait that’s the biggest maybe I’ll ever drop so plEASE SPARE ME-)

(But I just wanna drop this here but thank you so much for the ask and thank you for bearing with me- there’s a lot in my inbox rn and I feel bad closing it so I have to speed run + some I’m just not sure how to answer it takes a minute which leads to forgetting which leads to “WAIT I FORGOT ABOUT THAT ONE” a month later and I deeply apologize.
