Hello!

I start law school so very soon and I am kinda terrified. A lot is happening very fast but it’s okay.

I’ve picked up writing once more, I have a new laptop and so it’s easier to do. Sooooo i’ve taken to re-re-rewriting an old classic fanfic of mine from so many years ago. It always has a special place in my heart and i could never Give it all Up (nudge nudge wink wink)

Do you have any advise for me before I go into this new chapter of my life? I’m so very socially awkward and I’m going at this without any of my prior friends nor my boyfriend to be by my side, so it’s pretty intimidating. Of course this is what I wanted but naturally i’m a bit apprehensive to jump into the deep end so soon.

How have you been these past weeks? I hope easygoing. Find anything fun or interesting in the meantime?

I've been Ok. Just been working on my manuscript and in my free time working on my costumes and cosplays and playing FFXIV.

Law school is going to be so exciting! Even though it's all new, you're going to have so many opportunities ahead of you. Remember to enjoy all the new adventures ahead of you, not only with school but in other aspects of your life as well. Take every chance that comes your way, especially if it's something that will make you smile.

It's the things we don't do we regret.

Isaac’s storyline in Heartstopper season 2 is so important to me. We’re going to have all these teens seeing themself on screen, seeing the struggles of “what even is attraction anyway and how does it feel?” Seeing the moment when you’re coming across the terms Aromantic and Asexual and finding a part of you that you never understood or wanted to understand come to light. And it feels so much better than you’d have ever imagined. Having to tell a good friend that you’re not interested, and having to hear a platitude that doesn’t actually comfort you. “You’ll find someone, you’ll feel it eventually”, knowing that it probably will not apply to you, but if it does what does that make you? A liar, a late bloomer, indecisive? (Don’t worry it doesn’t - labels can change and feelings can too, identifying with one label at one point and a different label at another is totally fine!).

Finally realizing that you’re ace/aro, and being so so so happy about it. Knowing you’re not alone or weird or wrong, but you’re just you and that’s perfect.

Teens will be able to see that, and see themselves in Isaac’s storyline! It’s so awesome that we have that, and done in such an amazing way too, it makes me so happy.

I think a celebration is in order!

I got into law school! Im so beyond happy but also so unbelievably tired.

It’s been a flurry of emotions from waking up way too early and just having to go about my day as if nothing was going on, and then getting the news.

But when it all comes down to it i’m so happy.

I hope you’ve had a wonderful week, have you seen or done anything fun recently? I’ve gotten almost to the end of black butler season 2 with my boyfriend, he’s loving it more than he expected it too. Needless to say I managed to rope a new fan in lmao.

Have you been watching any anime recently? I’ve almost finished with cowboy bebop, i’m loving it so far, but i hit such a slump recently because i’ve been so busy preparing and whatnot.

The heat is starting to ease off now which is great, and we finally got some rain. We entered a drought not too long ago, which is ironic for the UK. But it made me quite sad, all the beautiful plants and grass just looked so dead. But it’s coming back now, i’ve never missed the rain more. How’s the weather where you are?

CONGRATS ACE!!! That is wonderful news!!! I know it's kind of an unpopular opinion, but I really like Season 2 of Black Butler. Like, don't get me wrong. It could have ended right there at season 1 and it was perfect, but it wasn't until season 2 that I began to like Ciel. Despite his backstory, He was never my favorite, but season 2 somehow softened me towards him a little bit.

I've currently been watching Paradise Kiss, something one of my Besties recommended to me and I love it. Like, when I started watching it, I was like "Damn...they got my number lol". I have found that all the ones I love the most were recommended to me by someone else, usually a close friend lol.

Here on the East Coast the weather has been the same dumbfuckery as usual, at least where I am lol. Yeah I heard there was a drought where you are and honestly that sucks so much. I'm glad to hear that things are getting better.

It has always bothered me how aroaces can pull the "it's the same thing," bc that has been said to me before. But my aro-ness cannot be singularly just aro without being assumed to be aroace by even people I've come out to before. And so then it's made aware that I'm still allosexual, just like I was before when I came out as bi, and suddenly that's contradictory and two separate things and how uncomfortable most aces can get about allosexual things - even tho my aromanticism defines my sexuality and my sexuality is an aromantic sexuality. For me it is one and the same too, but I have to be ripped apart to just belong as "aro." Rinse, repeat, for 12 years now. Rinse, repeat.
