Anakin stood still, as the other younglings stared and whispered at him, he tried his best to tune out what they were saying, but he couldn't help it, as his nails dug into his palms, taking deep breaths, as his Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, told him.
They snickered and gasped among themselves, as if he wasn't even there, as if he couldn't even hear them.
But when they ceased, and instead stared at someone behind him, he grew confused, then hopeful, had they finally been caught? Would they finally be made to stop?
"Hello." A small voice said.
He turned around, and instead of seeing a Jedi, as he was hoping, he saw a little girl, in a big poofy dress, a tiara sat atop of her head, and her gloved hands were clasped in front of her.
"Your highness" the Younglings gasped, as they dropped to their knees, and Anakins curiosity grew more, as he continued to stand, looking between them and the fancy looking girl.
"Ani, get down!" One of them hissed.
"You." He looked at the girl, again, and she was pointing at him.
"Me?" He asked, pointing at himself.
"What is your name?"
But before he had time to answer, the question was already answered by someone else.
"That's Ani, your highness, he's still new, he's not from around here." One of them said, stifling a laugh, as the others chuckled to themselves.
He grew angry at the taunt, and ultimately embarrassed, he didn't want this girl to know, he didn't even know her, and she didn't know him, but now she was going to look down on him, just like they do, like everybody does.
"You may rise, and make better use of your time" The girl told them, gesturing with her hand for them to get up. "Ani, will you accompany me?" She held her hand out, to him.
He hesitated, before eventually taking her hand in his, and she pulled him along.
But not before stopping and looking over her shoulder.
"Just him." She told the younglings, that had started to follow them. "Go do something useful, with your time. I would hate to have to tell my father, that the Jedi are doing a terrible job of raising our next generation."
Anakin watched in amusement, as their eyes widened, and they all scurried away, bashfully.
"Wow, your father must be some important guy." Anakin told her, a small smile on his face.
He watched as the girls brows furrowed, as she stared at him, noticing his soft chubby cheeks, and the small gap in his two front teeth, his very blond hair, and beautiful blue eyes.
But then she let out a laugh.
"Ani, do you know who I am?" She asked.
"Should I?" His cheeks started to turn red, he wanted to kick himself, had he just offended this clearly very important girl?
"Oh! I like you already." She squeezed his hand, and his arm, as she laid her head on his shoulder.
But she didn't bother to tell him, as she continued to pull him along, not taking notice how his heart was racing.
They snuck around the Jedi temple, in order to not get told off.
And he was shocked to discover, that somehow, this girl seemed to know where she was going.
They had arrived late to lunch, and he noticed how the younglings around the tables, had all shifted, seemingly to make room at their table, for only her to sit at.
She dragged him along to the back of the room, finding an empty table to sit at.
A worker came along, to hand Anakin a bowl of the usual slop, they served, but hadn't bothered to give the girl any.
"Here is your lunch, Prin-"
"Thank you, you may go now." She told the older looking boy, who had just appeared out of nowhere, to hand her a pink box.
And then he did as she said, hurried away.
"That looks disgusting." Her face screwed up as she looked at his food.
"Tastes it, too." He said, glumly, dropping the spoon back into the bowl.
"Here" She scooted closer, towards him. "You can share mine, I have loads."
She opened up the pink box, and just as she had said, there was lots of good looking food.
"No, that's okay." He fought against temptation, not wanting to take from the only other kid that had been kind to him.
"Nonsense, I won't eat it all, anyway" She handed him a juice box, as she sipped from her own strawberry milk. "The chefs always pack me too much."
She shared out the food, between the pair of them, setting out the small sandwiches, cakes, chocolates, fruits and pastries.
The two chatted about all sorts, as they ate together, but none of the things they discussed, had to do with who the girl was, and why she was so important, he noticed how she had an knack to avoid talking about herself, but he didn't want to push her, or do anything to upset her, either.
Once they had finished their lunch, Anakin had found a pack of cards, and they sat in the gardens, as they played together, enjoying the privacy and peacefulness of the place.
"Ani?" A male voice called, interrupting their third game.
"Lovey, where are you?" A booming voice joined the other.
"Lovey?" Anakin asked.
The girl jumped up, as the two men walked towards them.
"Daddy, I made a friend!" She jumped into the mans arms, as Anakin's master, Obi-Wan, joined his side.
"I hear you've been keeping the princess occupied." His master teased, as he lightly elbowed the boy's shoulder.
"Princess?" He asked, again, looking at the girl, who was being hugged by her father.
"That's fantastic, Lovey!" The man grinned widely, as he squeezed the girl in his arms, rocking her.
She wiggled out of his grasp, before joining Anakin, again.
"Daddy, this is Ani, he's a new jedi." She smiled, as she held his hand.
The man got to his knee's in front of the young boy, shaking his other hand, firmly.
"I've heard about you, I've been told that you are going to be a remarkable Jedi, that you're the chosen one."
"Y-yes, sir." He nodded, unsure of himself, he felt embarrassed by the title that had been bestowed to him, all of a sudden.
"Your highness." Obi-Wan corrected.
"Huh?"
"I beg your forgiveness." Obi-Wan told the man. "Ani, this is the king, Of Naboo."
His brows rose high, he was shaking the hand of the king.
He bowed to the man.
"I'm sorry, your highness."
"No need." King Ruwee chuckled. "I take it that my daughter didn't tell you who she is, either."
"Dad..." She mumbled, her cheeks red with embarrassment, as she twisted the toe of her shoe into the stone slab, they were stood on.
"She didn't even tell me her name." Anakin admitted.
"Lovey." Her dad shook his head.
"He didn't know who I was." She shrugged, in defence. "That seems like his problem."
"Would you like to introduce yourself, properly? Your mother would have a fit, if she saw your lack of manners."
"Fine." She turned to face Anakin, switching hands, so now she was shaking it. "Hello, Ani, I'm princess Lovisa Amidala, of Naboo." She said, in a bored tone.
"How do you do, Princess Lovisa Amidala, of Naboo." Anakin teased, as he shook her hand, a small smirk on his lips.
Anakin hadn't seen the princess, until a month later, but ever since he had met her, most of his thoughts contained her.
He missed her terribly, and he had only met her, once.
"Ani!" The girl's voice called, as him and the other younglings were leaving breakfast.
"Princess Lovisa Amidala, of Naboo." He greeted, as she ran up to him.
"Little Ani, don't call me that." she rolled her eyes, her happy mood turning sour.
"Sorry, princess" he faked sorrow.
"Ani!" She groaned, stomping her foot.
"Okay, okay." He laughed, "Vis, would you like to accompany me, today?" He asked, and in his mind, he was begging her to say yes.
"Yay! Okay!" She cheered, grabbing his hand.
The two had spent the day, much like the first day they met, but this time, Lovisa had opened up to Anakin about her life, her family, including her older sister Padme, who was 14.
Lovisa had told him that Padme can be very, very bossy, and a lot of the time, she told the younger girl to go away, because she was hanging out with her friends, and they all found her annoying, but other times, she told him how nice Padme was to her, she would brush her hair, and fill her in on gossip, or she would read to her in front of their large apple tree, in the orchard, and when her school work was tough, Padme would always help her out.
Anakin watched her eyes, as she described her sister, he could see bounds of love, and her smile was huge, it made him feel all warm inside, even though he had no family with him, it made him happy to see her talk about her own.
After that day, Anakin didn't see her for another three months.
The two were made to sit in on a meeting, with the council and the king.
The two didn't hear much of what was discussed, as they had been too busy playing with two quills, pretending that they were Jedi Knights, but one, Lovisa's quill, had turned evil, and Anakin's quill had to defeat hers.
It was a terrifying and heroic battle, until Obi-Wan had snatched Anakin's quill, back, and Lovisa's father had told her that it was important she was listening, instead of playing like a child, which she had responded with "But daddy, I am a child."
Anakin earned a small slap to the arm, from his master, as he failed to hold in a snort.
Anakin hadn't seen the girl again, until they were both ten, and he had discovered that her new fascination, was learning what a Jedi does, and how they fight.
Anakin had suggested that he could teach her, everything he knew, and she was ecstatic at this, quickly yanking him down the halls, and to the training rooms.
"I can't hit a girl, especially not a princess." Anakin sighed, when Lovisa told him to fight her.
"So if there was an enemy, and she was a girl, you would just let her continue?" Lovisa asked.
"Well, no, but I'm not gonna fight you."
"So you're saying your better than me?" She folded her arms across her chest. “Need I remind you who’s taller?”
"I didn't say that."
"Come on, chosen boy, show me what you got. That's an order." She got into a fighting position.
"I'll get in trouble."
"No, you won't, I promise." She crossed her heart, as she said it.
"Fine, but you asked for it." He then got into a fighting position, too.
They walked around each other, in a circle, before Anakin finally made a move, but Lovisa had dodged it, tripping him up, before pinning his arm behind his back, and straddling him, so that he couldn't get up, as he layed on his tummy.
"Vis, I wasn't ready!" He argued, when she let him go, standing back up and dusting off the skirt of her dress.
"You made the first move." She said, calmly.
"How did you even manage to do that?"
"Kuna taught me." She shrugged.
"What's a Kuna?" He asked. Was that a boy? Did she hang out with other boys? Not like he cared though, why would he care?
"My royal guard, he's sixteen, and his job is to make sure I don't get into trouble, but he's really bad at it."
Anakin rolled his eyes.
"What?" She asked.
"Nothing." He shrugged. "Let's go, again."
Anakin didn't manage to beat her, not even once, she managed to get him off his feet, every single time, and he didn't even care, anyone else, and the boy would have been livid, but her, he found himself admiring her, instead, she was remarkable.
The last time they saw each other, they were eleven, and after, Anakin hoped and waited for her return, every single day, but she never came back to the temple, he thought about her all the time, and would talk about her often, to his master, who was quick to remind the boy that attachment was dangerous for a Jedi, which sometimes he would say, just to make the boy shut up, throughout the years, he would wander what she was like, who she hung out with, what she was doing, and what she might look like. Sometimes he found himself looking in the mirror, at his own reflection, wandering what she might think about him, what would she think, to see him all grown up, instead of the little kid, she was a few inches taller than.

Coming back to you scenarios! (Part One)
Kylo Ren: The thought always worried you, when he was coming back, how bad the damage would be. But you had faith, for him, because he had faith for you. You trust Kylo and he trusts you, so when he told you he had a particularly lengthy mission to find and fight the Resistance head-on, you were reluctant to give in. That was a few months ago. Kylo had made sure to contact you frequently to reassure you of his existence and you thanked him for it every chance you got. Now, you stand in your guys' shared quarters, aware that people were worried about you but you couldn't stop the copying of being away from the man you loved by just staring out into Space, into nothing in particular, lost in your thoughts.
"Ma'am?" A Stormtrooper called to you, causing your thoughts to pop. "Yes?" You reply, not turning to face them. You half-expected this to be an affirmative call that Kylo was lost, or worse, gone. "Supreme Leader Ren has made contact just now." Your breathing stopped, and your heartbeat jolted, you spun to face the trooper, hope glinting in your eyes. "He has?" You ask, voice low and soft. The Stormtrooper nods and you can feel the burning sensation in your stomach of anticipation and the prickling feeling of tears pooling in your eyes. Faster than you have ever ran before, you race out of the room, almost tripping twice over nothing but your own footsteps. You stop at the sight of Kylo's ship, breathing fast and harshly. Your eyes scanning frantically for the sight of Kylo, for the sight of his mask, his hair, cloak, anything. "Hey." You heard a voice call from behind you, and you feel two big and strong hands wrapping around your center and Kylo burying his face in the crook of your neck, inhaling the sweet scent of you. "Kylo..." You choke out, sobbing quietly and his arms tighten around your stomach. "I know, darling. I know."
Armitage Hux: You completely underestimated how many missions a General had to do, as you were just a Commander, but you soon came to find out. Armitage wasn't a sentimental guy, in public or ever, unless it was you and it was still rare to see him get emotional in front of you. "I'm leaving." He said simply, fixing his uniform and hair. Why is he telling you this at the crack of dawn? "Where to?" You yawn. "To accompany Ren on a ridiculous mission to terminate the Resistance and especially the scavenger." He spoke with disdain in his tone, as you could only imagine, as he was going with Kylo. "Why are you going then? Did Snoke order it?" You tilt your head. How odd, Armitage and Kylo, two rivals, on a mission to terminate the two targets that caused the First Order the most grief. "He did." He said shortly.
A month later, as you were shutting down for the night, you go back to your quarters, and who do you find standing there? "Hello." He said casually and you could swear he saw the perplexity in your brain. "'Hello'? Is that how you greet your girlfriend after being gone for a continuous month with only various calls?" He rolls his eyes, his nose scrunching a bit, as he walked orderly over to you. "You're lucky I even came back." He says with his usual cold tone and you push it aside as you wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him into a much-needed hug.
Anakin Skywalker: Anakin had previously told you that Obi-Wan and the council planned for Anakin to take a mission alone, to prove if he should be a Master Jedi. Of course the mission had to lengthy and cut severely into the time in which he promised to spend with you, and Anakin was enraged by it. However, you had to reassure and scold him frequently that it was completely fine and that he had to do it anyway, because he desired to be a Jedi Master. Seeing reason finally, Anakin decided to go, giving you a big, passionate kiss before jokingly telling you that you should behave while he was gone, or else the result would be you getting in trouble with a Jedi Master, you laugh, mockingly annoyed and watched him leave. A good couple weeks passed and you kept yourself busy with your own duties: Cleaning the house, keeping an eye on the Council and their updates about Anakin, and random pastimes you found fun.
"Miss Y'N? Good news: Master Anakin has just arrived at the Temple." C-3PO informs you and you grin widely. "Thank you." You say, getting up and readying your speeder so you could give your boyfriend a proper welcome. "Y\N." Anakin smiles as he notices you and you could see the sheer need to hug you and spin you around, but the current circumstances would make that a tad bit difficult. Yoda and Windu telling Anakin of his new responsibilities as a Jedi Master and Obi-Wan congratulating and sending jokes Anakin's way in which you could see and feel Anakin's eyes staring longingly at you, as he was so ready to feel you hugging him and kissing him. After the certainly inviting and warm congratulations from the Jedi Council, Anakin goes out of his way to excuse himself from continuing further conversation with Windu and scurrying over to you, snaking his arms around you and resting his chin on your forehead, pressing your head to his chest. "I missed you, my love, it's felt like forever since I was reminded of your beauty..." He kissed your cheek, neck and your lips, the kiss was beautiful and enlightening, reminding you of Anakin's undying love.
A\n: I'm going to do a seperate version, a part two, with Obi-Wan and Luke later.

Hello @David-talks SW,
I was just wondering do you, by any chance, have any quotes from George Lucas talking about The Sith or The Emperor's ultimate goal?
I can't find the exact quote but I think he said that Sidious' goal is to rule the galaxy, allow his apprentice to challenge him when the time is right (be it Vader or Luke had he turned to the Dark Side) and allow his apprentice to strikes him down.
All Sith is after immortality but from their point of view life after death does not exist. The closest thing to immortality is their own legacy. That is why Sidious is trying to find the perfect apprentice in I-III. He find that in Anakin. Vader fails him at the end of III with his fight with Obi-Wan Kenobi. He find another chance with Luke Skywalker and that is he is so obsessed with trying to convert young Skywalker over to his side.
At the end of the day, he doesn't care what happen to him as long as the Sith rule the entire galaxy after him forever.
It is consistent with what he told Yoda before their fight in the Senate in III: "DARTH SlDIOUS: You will not stop me. Darth Vader will become more powerful than either of us."
I believe Dave Filoni said something alone the line of Maul's own goal in Rebel Recon, which was a behind the scene show of Star Wars Rebels (2014-2018). Mind you I think Dave Filoni's understanding of the Sith, in general, is akin to those of George Lucas' vision of them rather then the Jedi.
I could be wrong on the matter and I would be thankful if you could correct me on it.
Thank you.
Hey there!
I see @writerbuddha already answered you here.
Let me just add a few more quotes for your information!
"The Jedi are the enemy of the Sith because the Sith want to dominate the galaxy, to control everything, and for a thousand years they have had a plot against the Jedi." - Sci-fi Online, 2005
The Sith just wanna subdue and control everyone around them, including the Force itself, to fashion the galaxy in their image.
"The end game for the Sith was to bring the world into a very selfish, self-centered, greedy, evil place, as opposed to a compassionate place." - James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction, 2018
I go more into clarifying the Sith's goals here. Here's another quote that isn't in the linked post:
Q: So what is the Phantom Menace? There are lots of different ways to put it. It's the Dark Lords of the Sith, of which there are only two. That's the opposite of a Jedi. It's somebody that works with the dark side of the Force. There is one Sith Lord is who trying to wreak havoc and take over the galaxy, and he is the phantom menace. I think you get the idea. There is somebody pulling the strings for everything. - Premiere, 1999
Hope it helps!
Edit:
To be clear, saying the Sith care about their legacy is giving them wayyyy too much credit. They're selfish assholes. The whole point of having an apprentice is that if they die, at least the lineage goes on.
But they're not planning on dying, they're trying to go against the Fates and do everything in their power to NOT die.
The Jedi are the ones who deal in things like a legacy. You tell the word "legacy" to a Sith and he'll laugh in your face, he doesn't care that his *worst case scenario* is safe and sound and will carry on without him, he wants to be the guy that carries on forever.
And as @unhelpfulfemme points out in the replies, this comes with a "might makes right" mentality.
"If scum like you managed to kill magnificent me, then I deserve to die for being so pathetic and losing to a worm, and you deserve to live for having overcome the badass warrior that I am."

Hiiiiiii
So, I just read the majority of your fics and just. Wow. Wow Kit, wow. I only got into this fandom a few months ago and your fics have really gotten me involved in the prequel side of Star Wars.
So, I’ve got three questions. First, have you thought about writing a second fic for the throat fic au??? I really love how you’ve written the reverse ages for Obikin. Second, I just finished reading your road-trip au in one sitting and omfg they stress me the fuck out. How big of a train wreck will it be when Obikin confess to one another? Cause let’s be honest here, they’re terrible at communication and the amount of misunderstanding in every one of their conversations is just ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Like come on guys, communicate for once, for your sanity and ours. Third, I have also read and reread your fic “building a boat with no blueprints” and omfg that one is amazing. I love how you’ve written Obi-Wan having to deal with two different sides of Anakin (in a way, the light and the dark - did you know he spent first 23 years in the light as a Jedi and another 23 years as Vader? I read about this from another user and I was like ?!?!?!!!!!). Is there any future for that fic? How much trouble will Vader be in when Obi-Wan sees him again.
Sorry for the long post, but I truly love your fics and will continue to love everything that you post in the future! Best of luck with college (I think you said you were writing a thesis at some point???) and work!
ahh thank you!! This is so sweet of you to say, I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed my fics so much! ngl i sat on this ask a bit to reread it 🥰 I love to hear when newcomers find my fics. It’s like double serotonin: a) you like my writing and b) newcomer!!! new comer to obikin!!! hello 🥹
as for your questions, let me answer as best I can!
throat fic: I absolutely have! I am actually currently writing a second fic, told from vaderkin’s pov and starting from even before he met obi-wan (in a loose vague sort of way) my personal problem with sequels and also why I have never written one successfully (pbatmb not counted) is because I’m so caught up in copying the style of the first fic that I stall out. I really liked how in the original throat fic, there were flashbacks and present moments and the reader knew the present moments because they all started with the same sentence (“obi-wan had never seen so much blood”) and I keep being like what is anakin’s never seen so much blood!!! and like the truth is anakin’s fic does not have to follow the style of obi-wan’s but in my mind they do and that’s something I have to overcome lol
but no a throat fic sequel would definitely involve Vader being super weird about obi-wan and then go more into their future than obi-wan’s story did. like about how they make their love for each other work when Vader can’t unfall and obi-wan can’t bring himself to completely abandon the Jedi tenets his master taught him 😌
road trip au fic: I promise it gets worse before it gets better lmao and I still want to finish that fic this year. I’ve talked a lot here on tumblr about how it’ll pan out, which I’m about to rehash so skip this part if you want to be completely spoiler free: basically they get to Seattle and obi-wan tells anakin to like. Wait in the hotel room or something cause he doesn’t want anakin to see what set looks like cause that’s a dead giveaway that obi-wan was thinking of anakin when fucking set. Only of course anakin doesn’t listen. Of course he trails after him to see what this set looks like and of course he freaks when he sees set looks just like him. which all leads to a tearful argument (confession) in their hotel room where anakin is like ‘i just can’t understand why you chose him? Is it because his hair is darker?? Is it because his eyes are blue is it because he’s broader in the shoulders? what is it about me that you just can’t love even when I’ve been here, loving you, for years? I’ll change it. I’ll change anything’ and obi-wan is like what. and anakin is like. what. and obi-wan is like. what do you mean you love me??? etc etc
burn every bridge fic: ah I love that fic!! I actually wrote a continuation in my ao3 fic called “although it’s been said many times many ways”. It’s a gratuitously holiday cliched fic, but it’s a continuation of those two if you want to read it! I don’t think there’s an actual sequel there for me, but if you like my reverse age stuff you should also check out the behemoth that foolproof foolhardy became & I pray the same but my gods have changed & if you love me let it remain unnamed (trust me on the last one and also only read for the vibes)

Hello friend! I was thinking about PiP (always) and I remembered Obi-Wan telling Anakin that he's had some... regretful hair cuts in the past. Then I remembered that Suit Life of Zach and Cody episode where Cody dyes his hair and I ended up coming up with this little scene for my It Takes a Village WIP. Since PiP inspired it I wanted to share it with you! 💖
---
Obi-Wan stepped lightly away from Korkie’s room, avoiding the creaky spot just outside the door, and made his way into the living room. It had been a hectic few days getting all of Anakin's belongings moved over and (mostly) unpacked. Padme hadn't been kidding when she said he didn't have many household belongings - he had a grand total of two bowls, three plates, miscellaneous silverware that were all mismatched and Obi-Wan suspected came from various restaurants, and a handful of other appliances. The only furniture he opted to keep was his bed, deciding that the sad excuse for a drooping couch wasn't worth putting in storage for when he eventually moved out.
What she hadn't told him about, though, was the sheer amount of things Anakin had. Apparently Anakin partook in many different hobbies, depending on his mood. He had random computer and robotics circuitry and parts, surprisingly soft yarn and a pair of knitting needles that appeared to have seen better days, an empty fish bowl that now housed an assortment of rocks, and various tools that Obi-Wan was secretly glad Anakin was bringing into the house (his dinky little toolbox was paltry in comparison and he was positive that taking care of Korkie - and Anakin - would require something to be repaired in the future).
But they had finally finished finding homes for everything. And in the process, Anakin had found a few of Obi-Wan's belongings that he decided needed to also be re-housed. Namely, an old scrapbook Qui-Gon had given him as a housewarming present years ago. Qui-Gon and Padme had meticulously included copies of everything from their lives together from copies of Obi-Wan's adoption papers, pictures of Obi-Wan cuddling with his newborn sister, notes that Padme had found between herself and Obi-Wan, to pictures of Obi-Wan in front of the house holding the first box he brought in. While he cherished the book - and the memories it invoked - he had had it in a drawer of a side table in the living room. Now Anakin insisted it needed a more prominent position. He also briefly mentioned starting one for Korkie, but when Obi-Wan asked him about it he quickly changed the subject.
When Obi-Wan sat down on the couch next to Anakin he was hardly surprised to see his new roommate looking through the pictures. He hadn't had the chance to get through all of it, but once he got permission to look he had become determined to look at everything it contained.
“Aw, you dressed up with Padme for Halloween!”
“Oh yes, I remember that year. She was obsessed with Peter Pan.” Obi-Wan chuckled. “She loved that he and I had matching hair, so she decided it would be perfect for us to go as Peter and Tinkerbell.”
“That's adorable.” The smile on Anakin's face made Obi-Wan's night in uncomfortable green tights worth it. Mostly. “Not many teenagers would have agreed to go out with their little sister, let alone dress up.”
“Well, you know she and I have always been close. Besides, when she wants her way she knows exactly what to say to get it. There's a reason she’s going to school for politics.”
Anakin turned the page and froze, Obi-Wan letting out a groan that was much too loud for naptime when he saw what caught his eye.
“What. Is this?”
In the picture, seventeen year old Obi-Wan had a scowl on his face while his mom fretted behind him trying in equal parts to help and not to laugh. Instead of his usual auburn hair that Anakin had always seen, his locks were a bright, Christmas red.
“What you have to understand is-”
“How have I never seen this before?! Surely I would have remembered this hairstyle!”
Obi-Wan's forehead dropped into his hand. “I was mad at Qui-Gon for not letting me do something - I don't even remember what. So when I was at a friend’s house we had decided a great way at getting back at him would be to dye my hair.”
“You picked this color?!”
“No! We dyed it black. Needless to say, mom and dad were not pleased when I came home. I think that was the closest I've ever seen Qui-Gon to being angry with me. He immediately drove me to the store and we got bleach and a box of hair dye that looked like it would be close to my natural color. When we got back, mom tried her best but this was the result. It was supposed to be ‘Honey Mist Auburn’ if I remember correctly.”
Anakin bit his lip, trying desperately to hold back a laugh. “Honey, you missed auburn big time.”
Obi-Wan rolled his eyes and Anakin let out a guffaw.
“Yes, well. We ended up having to go to a salon. That was when I had that horrible, short haircut, remember? Most of my hair ended up so damaged that they had to chop it off. But at least they were able to salvage the color and I didn't have to shave it.”
Anakin hid his face in Obi-Wan's shoulder to try and quiet his laughs. He knew what Korkie would be like if you woke him up too soon from his nap and he didn't want to start their co-habitation on the wrong foot. Obi-Wan found he didn't mind. He actually quite enjoyed feeling Anakin's body vibrate with his mirth and the hot puffs of breath against his neck. He smiled to himself, despite looking directly at picture evidence of his youthful mistakes.
Ok first I’m going to make this about me for a hot second. That’s twice tonight someone’s told me they’re still thinking about PiP. And my heart. Seriously. I cannot tell you just how happy this makes me. And that any part of it INSPIRED something more? Crying.
Ok. Now that I’ve gotten me out of the way:
I need to know more about this au!!!!
Yes to weird junk drawer pack rat Anakin.
Yes to stolen silverware.
Yes to honey auburn mist!!!!!

There was something thick in the air when you woke that morning. It wasn’t physical, you couldn’t see it, but you could feel it. Something was coming, and you could feel that it was going to change everything. It stayed with you as your brother went to work and you helped your mother with her slave chores.
“Y/N,” your mother, Shmi, called from the hovel doorway. “Time to come inside, there’s a sandstorm coming.”
“I’ll be right in!” You responded.
As you finished cleaning up, you gasped. Someone was coming closer, and they were powerful. A power you have only ever felt in Anakin. You looked up to see Anakin leading a group toward you. You quickly ran inside, ignoring your mother’s questions about what’s wrong.
“Mom! Mom!” Anakin shouted as he entered the hovel with the group that was following him. “I’m home.”
“Dissen cozy,” the strange looking one with the long, floppy ears stated.
Shmi exited her work area only to be startled by the room full of people. You watched from behind a wall.
“Oh, my!” Shmi exclaimed. “Ani, what’s this?”
“These are my friends, mom,” Anakin answered. “This is Padme,” he pointed to the young woman, “and… gee, I don’t know any of your names.”
“I’m Qui-Gon Jinn,” the older man responded. You could tell that he was the one you seemed to be sensing. “And this is Jar Jar Binks.”
Qui-Gon pointed to the strange creature. A droid beeped from beside them, having gone unnoticed by you until then. As you stared at the droid, Qui-Gon noticed you. He could immediately sense something strong within you, easier than he had with Anakin.
“And our droid, R2D2,” Padme added.
“I’m building a droid,” Anakin stated excitedly. “You wanna see?”
“Anakin,” Shmi called for her son’s attention. “Why are they here?”
“Your son was kind enough to offer us shelter,” Qui-Gon responded, finally turning his focus back to the others.
“Come on!” Anakin said as he took Padme’s hand. “Let me show you 3PO!”
Anakin pulled Padme passed Y/N and into another room. R2 followed. Qui-Gon digged into a his utility belt and pulled out five small capsules, handing them over to Shmi.
“I have enough food for a meal,” Qui-Gon told her.
“Oh, thank you,” Shmi said. “Thank you so much. I’m sorry if I was abrupt. I’ll never get used to Anakin’s surprises.”
“He’s a very special boy.”
You watched as your mother looked at Qui-Gon as if he had discovered some sort of secret.
“Yes,” she said softly. “I know.”
Qui-Gon’s eyes found yours. You watched cautiously as he took a few steps towards you and then crouched down.
“Hello,” he greeted. “I am Qui-Gon Jinn. What’s your name?”
“Y/N,” you whispered.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Y/N.” He smiled. He could sense your Force signature studying his, even though he was sure that you had absolutely no idea that you were doing that.
“What are you doing here?”
“Your brother was kind enough to offer us shelter from the sandstorm.”
You shook your head. “That’s not what I mean.” You stepped out from behind the wall and scowled at the man in front of you. “What are you doing here on Tatoonie?”
“Y/N!” Shmi scolded. “That is no way to talk to a guest. Go get cleaned up.”
“Sorry,” you mumbled. You turned away and went to go clean up.
“I’m sorry about that,” Shmi apologized to Qui-Gon.
He straightened up and faced Shmi. “It is not a problem,” he said. “Are Y/N and Anakin twins?”
“Yes,” Shmi nodded.
“She seems just as special as him.”
~~~
The wind howled outside as the group gathered around the makeshift table in the hovel. Jar Jar slurped his soup loudly, earning annoyed looks from the group. Shmi and Anakin were answering questions as you ate quietly, taking it all in.
“All slaves have transmitters place inside their bodies somewhere,” Shmi explained.
“I’ve been working on a scanner to try and locate them,” Anakin told them, “but no luck.”
“Any attempt to escape—“
“And they blow you up! Poof!”
Jar Jar looked horrified. “How wude.”
“I can’t believe there is still slavery in the galaxy,” Padme stated. “The republic’s anti-slavery laws—“
“The republic doesn’t exist out here,” Shmi responded. “We must survive on our own.”
An awkward silence filled the room. You could feel Qui-Gon’s eyes on you, studying you. He was getting more and more interesting in you and your brother the longer he was with you both, but you were especially intriguing. Earlier, your Force signature had been strong, exploring his own. But the moment Shmi had scolded you earlier, the barriers in your mind shot up and he had yet to feel you since.
“How you ever seen a podrace?” Anakin asked, breaking the awkward silence.
Padme shook her head no, noticing the concern from Shmi about the question. You watched as Jar Jar snatched some food from a bowl at the opposite end of the table with his tongue. You cringed while Qui-Gon gave him a dirty look.
“They have podracing on Malastare,” Qui-Gon responded. “Very fast, very dangerous.”
“I’m the only human who can do it,” Anakin stated. Shmi shot her son a look. “Mom, what? I’m not bragging. It’s true. Watto says he’s never heard of a human doing it.”
“You must have Jedi reflexes if you race pods.”
Anakin smiled, proud of that compliment. Jar Jar attempted to grab another piece of food with his tongue, only for his tongue to quickly get caught between Qui-Gon’s thumb and forefinger.
“Don’t do that again,” Qui-Gon ordered.
Qui-Gon let Jar Jar’s tongue go. It snapped back into Jar Jar with a dramatic fashion. You laughed quietly, earning a smile from Qui-Gon.
“I—I was wondering something,” Anakin said.
“What?” Qui-Gon questioned.
“Well, ahh—you’re a Jedi Knight, aren’t you?”
“What makes you think that?”
“I saw your laser sword. Only Jedi carry that kind of weapon.”
Qui-Gon leaned back with a slow growing smile. “Perhaps I killed a Jedi and stole it from him.” Your brows furrowed as you sensed he was lying.
“I don’t think so. No one can kill a Jedi Knight.”
“I wish that were so…” You could sense a brief sadness radiating off of Qui-Gon.
“I had a dream I was a Jedi. I came back here and freed all the slaves. Have you come to free us?”
“No, I’m afraid not…”
“I think you have.”
“If you are not here to free us, then why are you here?” You finally spoke up, repeating your question from earlier.
Qui-Gon looked at you as he thought for a moment. “I can see there’s no fooling either of you,” Qui-Gon responded. He leaned forward. “You mustn’t let anyone know about us. We’re on our way to Coruscant, the central system in the Republic, on a very important mission, and it must be kept secret.”
“Coruscant,” Anakin repeated, “wow… how did you end up here in the Outer Rim?”
“Our ship was damaged, and we’re stranded here until we can repair it,” Padme explained.
“I can’t help! I can fix anything!”
“I believe you can,” Qui-Gon said, “but our first job is to acquire the parts we need—“
“Wit no-nutten mulga to trade,” Jar Jar added. You cringed, hating the way this create spoke.
“These junk dealers must have a weakness of some kind,” Padme said.
“Gambling,” Shmi replied. “Everything here revolves around betting on those awful races.”
“Podracing… greed can be a powerful ally,” Qui-Gon said, “if it’s used properly.”
“I’ve built a racer!” Anakin said excitedly. “It’s the fastest ever. There’s a big reach tomorrow, on Boonta Eve. You could enter my pod. It’s all but finished.”
“Anakin, settle down,” Shmi directed. “Watto won’t let you—“
“Watto doesn’t know I’ve built it.” Anakin turned to Qui-Gon. “You could make him think it’s your’s, and you could get him to let me pilot it for you.”
Your heart clenched. You and your mother both hated when Anakin raced. You never knew if he would survive. Qui-Gon glanced your way, sensing your worry.
“I don’t want you to race, Ani,” Shmi said. “It’s awful. I die every time Watto makes you do it.”
“But mom, I love it. And they need help… they’re in trouble. The prize money would more than pay for the parts they need.”
“Wesa ina pity bad goo,” Jar Jar agreed.
“Your mother’s right,” Qui-Gon says. “Is there anyone friendly to the Republic who might be able to help us?”
“Not in this system,” you responded as Shmi shook her head.
“We have to help them, mom,” Anakin pled. “You said that the biggest problem in the universe is no one helps each other.”
“Anakin, stop.” You glared at your brother. You could feel how scared your mother was about all of this.
“I’m sure Qui-Gon doesn’t want to put Anakin in danger,” Padme said. “We will find another way.”
“No,” Shmi sighed, “Ani’s right. There is no other way… I may not like it, but he can help you. He was meant to help you.”
“Is that a yes?” Anakin questioned. Shmi nodded in response. “That is a yes!”
Looking down, you focused on your food. You hated that Anakin was going to risk his life for these people. You knew that he was just trying to be kind. But the thickness around you had stayed with you all day and you were worried that Ani doing this was just make it all worse.
Qui-Gon watched as you silently stewed in your feelings. The walls protecting your Force signature had slowly dropped and he was able to sense you. You and Anakin were both clearly strong, but in different ways. The Jedi knew that this mission needed to be rushed, but he was interested in learning more about you and your twin.
~~~
The sandstorm had passed by the time morning had arrived. You ignored the guests in the hovel as you got ready and set out to help your neighbors clean up the mess made by the storm. The guests and Anakin started their day by going to Watto to see if he would let Anakin race. When they arrived back, they didn’t have to tell you that Anakin was allowed to race. The feelings radiating off the guests and the smile on Anakin’s face said it all.
Qui-Gon found a spot near the hovel as the others followed Anakin to his podracer. You were sweeping the sand off the stairs of the different hovels, listening into Qui-Gon as he spoke into a comm link.
“What if this plan fails, Master?” The person on the other end of the comm link question. His voice immediately calmed you. It was strange, how such a small snippet of the man’s voice sent a wave of peace over you. “We could be stuck here for a long time.”
“A ship without power supply will not get us anywhere,” Qui-Gon stated. “And, there is something about these twins…”
Qui-Gon met your eye briefly, causing you to quickly focus back on your work, still listening in. Shmi joined Qui-Gon outside.
“You should be proud of your son,” Qui-Gon complimented. “He gives without any thought of reward.”
“He knows nothing of greed,” Shmi responded. “He has…”
“He has special powers… both of them do.”
“Yes…”
“He can see things before they happen. That’s why he appears to have such quick reflexes. Y/N can feel emotions and sense changes around her. Those are Jedi traits.”
“They deserve better than a slave’s life.”
“The Force is unusually strong with them both, that much is clear. Who was their father?”
“There was no father, that I know of… I carried them, I gave birth to them… I can’t explain what happened… can you help them?”
“I’m afraid not. Had they been born in the Republic, we would have identified them early, and they would have become Jedi, no doubt. But it’s too late for them now, their too old.”
Qui-Gon’s brows furrowed as he sensed a tinge of disappointment. He turned to see that you were glaring down at the steps that you had been absentmindedly sweeping. Closing his eyes, Qui-Gon focused on his own Force signature and pushed it out to you. Your shoulders sagged as you felt comfort dancing around you. You looked up at Qui-Gon to see him smiling at you. You gave him a slight nod before going back to your work.
Qui-Gon headed over to the podracer to help. You stopped your cleaning and came to stand next to your mother. The two of you watched as the podracer’s engines roared to life, causing everyone to cheer. You looked at your home to see her smiling sadly.
Slipping your hand into hers, you asked, “what’s wrong, mom?”
She looked down at you with a fake smile, trying to get you to believe she was alright. You could see right through it. “It’s nothing, Y/N. I promise.”
~~~
Later that night, you found yourself on the back balcony of the hovel, staring at the stars above. Qui-Gon and Anakin joined you. Anakin sat on the balcony rail, staring up at the stars as well, as Qui-Gon began tending to one of Anakin’s cuts.
“Sit still, Ani,” Qui-Gon requested. “Let me clean this cut.”
“There are so many!” Anakin stated. “Do they all have a system of planets?”
“Most of them.”
“Has anyone been to them all?”
Qui-Gon laughed slightly. “Not likely.”
“I want to be the first one to see them all—ouch!”
You flinched as the brief pinch of pain that you could feel. The Jedi Master noticed out of the corner of his eye. Qui-Gon focused up and wiped a patch of blood off of Anakin’s arm.
“There, good as new,” the Jedi told him.
“Ani, Y/N, bedtime!” Shmi yelled from inside the hovel.
You went to go inside when you noticed Qui-Gon scrape some of Anakin’s blood onto a comm link chip. You stepped closer.
“What are you doing?” You asked.
“Checking Ani’s blood for infections,” Qui-Gon responded. He grabbed another chip. “I can do the same for you.”
Though you weren’t sure that you believed him about checking for infections, you reached your arm out and gave him your hand. Qui-Gon gently poked your finger with the chip, getting some blood. You could feel something trying to gain your trust. Looking into Qui-Gon’s eyes, you could tell it was him.
“Ani! Y/N!” Shmi yelled again. “I’m not going to tell you two again!”
Qui-Gon smiled. “Go on,” he encouraged. “Big day tomorrow. Goodnight.”
You and Anakin went inside and started getting ready for bed. Qui-Gon stayed outside. He slipped the chips into the comm link before calling his Padawan.
“Obi-Wan,” he called.
“Yes, Master,” Obi-Wan responded.
“Make an analysis of the blood samples I’m sending you.”
“Wait a minute…”
“I need a midi-chlorian count.”
“Alright. I’ve got it.”
“What are your readings?”
“Something must be wrong with the transmission.”
“Here’s a signal check.”
“Strange. The transmission seems to be in good order, but the readings are off the chart… both are over twenty thousand.”
“That’s it then.”
“Even Master Yoda doesn’t have a midi-chlorian count that high!”
“No Jedi has.”
“What does it mean?”
“I’m not sure.”
Qui-Gon hung up on his Padawan. Thinking, he glances around to see Shmi in the doorway watching him. Embarrassed, she went back inside while the Jedi pondered the situation.
~~~
“Anakin?” You called softly from your bed.
“Yes?” Your brother replied.
“Do you have to do this?”
“They need help and I’m the only one who is able to.”
“I understand that… it’s just… don’t you feel it?”
“Feel what?”
“That this is going to change everything.”
“Y/N,” Anakin propped himself up on his side, “I’ll be fine. Everyone will be fine. Trust me.”

Wizard *part 2* (Knight Obi-Wan x RealWorldFemReader)
Tumblr media
Note: Read Under My Tree first to get an idea of what’s going on.
Summary: After a very monumental Christmas with Obi-Wan, it’s time to share the good news with the other most important person in his life, Anakin. What better way to do so than making it the most special New Year Fete he has ever had. Happy New Year!
Warnings: Contains fluff, fluff, and more fluff!
Other Notes: Anakin is ten years old in this.
New Year’s Fete Week is the first five days of the year (according to the Galactic Standard Calendar) and is a five-day festival that celebrates the new year.
New Year’s Day, the first dawn of the year. A time of renewal and fresh starts. The moment when we say goodbye to the old and hello to the new…by celebrating with those we care for the most.
“There!” Obi-Wan declared, straightening the star. “How does that look, darling?”
“As pretty as a card,” you said with a warm smile, setting a tray filled with fresh baked cookies on the small table.
It had been barely over a week since Obi had popped the big question and what followed was a whirlwind of craziness. First you told your family of the joyous news, which they were absolutely elated for you both. Then there was the whole matter of sorting out certain affairs, the biggest being of how you were going to tell the other most important person in Obi-Wan’s life…Anakin.
With two hot chocolates in hand, you came to join your fiancé next to the tree. Offering him a nug, Obi accepted it gladly. “Do you really think Anakin’s going to like all of this?” He asked, wrapping an arm lazily around your waist.
“Of course,” you laughed, resting your head on his shoulder. “In fact, I know Ani will love it.”
“Speaking of the little imp,” Obi-Wan muttered, sensing a ripple in the force.
The second bedroom door slid open and out stepped a still half-asleep Anakin. “G’morning, master,” the ten-year-old yawned, completely oblivious to his surroundings.
Not wanting to spoil the surprise quite yet, Obi replied in his usual cool tone. “Good morning, young one.”
“Morning, Ani,” you chimed in the chipperly.
“G’morning, Aun…” Anakin began to mumble, when suddenly your voice registered, and he snapped fully awake. “Auntie!” He exclaimed excitedly, running over and throwing his short arms around you.
“Hey, kiddo,” you hugged him back tightly. “Happy New Year.”
“Happy New Year,” the padawan beamed up at you. “Are you here to go to the festival with me and master?”
Obi-Wan tousled Ani’s hair. “She certainly did. She also came to help me prepare this special surprise for you.”
On cue, Obi and you stepped to the side. Revealing the tree, presents, decorations, and cookies.
Anakin’s eyes widened in wonderment as he took everything in. “Whoa, what is all of this?!”
You couldn’t help but giggle as you watched Ani immediately zone in on the gifts. Typical kid. “This is your first Christmas.”
“Christmas?” He asked, gently shaking a package. “What’s that?”
Grabbing a cookie for them both, Obi-Wan came to join his apprentice on the floor. “It’s a holiday your Auntie celebrates on her planet around this time of the season. She wanted to share it with you. Maybe make it a yearly tradition for the three of us. What do you think?”
Anakin took a big bite of his gingerbread wookie. “If it means I get yummy treats, presents, and spend the whole day with you guys…then I’m in!”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After a morning filled with eating sweets, merrymaking, and unwrapping heartfelt gifts…it was time for the New Year Fete.
The two of you agreed to tell Ani your big news after the fireworks tonight. A wonderful way to end an absolutely perfect day. And, with that plan in place, your happy trio headed off to the festival.
As soon as you arrived, Anakin, of course, began begging for some kind of sugary snack.
“Haven’t you had enough already?” Obi chuckled as he (and you) were led through the bustling crowd, to the nearest confectionery stall.
“Nope, never enough!” Ani replied cheekily, before asking the elderly vendor nicely for an order of fried dough balls.
“Oh my, such a polite young man,” she kindly said, handing Anakin his container. “And handsome too with that scarf and pendant.”
A huge grin spread across his face. He had loved the scarf and river stone pendant you both made him so much, that he insisted on wearing them out today. “Thanks! They’re gifts from my mom and dad!”
Trying not to show either of your surprise, Obi-Wan quickly paid the woman and whisked you all to a more secluded area.
Exchanging glances with Obi, you sat down on the bench next to Ani. “Kiddo, why did you tell that lady we’re your parents?”
“’cause,” Anakin mumbled, popping a ball into his mouth.
“Because why?” Obi-wan asked, taking the other seat beside Ani.
Swallowing, the padawan reached for another. “Because Auntie has that ring on her finger. Which means you’re getting married, and we’ll become a family. So that will make you like my mom and dad.”
Anakin paused a moment, looking back and forth between you two. “I got that right, right? Unless you don’t want me to be your kid.”
Neither of you could believe what you just heard. Anakin had known all along, and he wanted to…
Smiling softly, you pulled him into a loving embrace. “You got it right, Ani.”
“We would be honored to have you as our kid,” Obi added, joining in on the group hug.
“Wizard,” Anakin said happily, tears of joy shining in his eyes.

Hi hello yes I am currently crying because Obi-Wan’s trust in Anakin is so unwavering. Obi-Wan says that Anakin has never let him down and never will. He tells Anakin that he’s a better person and Jedi than himself and that the Council will definitely make him a Master soon, and he says it all with a smile because he believes every word and is so happy for Anakin. He never once doubts that Anakin is alive and doing his best.
And it’s all shattered when he sees the recording of Anakin killing Jedi and it’s all stomped on when he sees Anakin being Sidious’ apprentice.
Obi-Wan begs Yoda not to send him after Anakin. He knows he can’t kill Anakin. He knows himself and he knows that he can’t put the greater good above Anakin, he’s never been able to do that, and he says he’ll take on Darth Sidious, the powerful Sith Lord who now rules the entire galaxy, because he can’t bear to think of what he’d have to do if he has to go to Anakin.
And he doesn’t kill Anakin. More than that, he doesn’t blame Anakin! He blames himself!! He says he failed him!! He’s always had a small part of himself that said he wasn’t the right Master for Anakin, that such a powerful person needed an experienced Master and one that didn’t struggle so much with attachment. And this just proves it to him!!!! He thinks, “If anyone else had taught Anakin, this wouldn’t have happened,” and it’s because his trust in Anakin is so unwaveringly bright and his doubt in himself weighs him down so much that he believes the simple change of him not being in Anakin’s life would be enough for Anakin to be good forever because he thinks Anakin is the best!!!!!
He starts the trilogy calling Anakin another pathetic lifeform. By the third movie, he calls Anakin his brother, he tells him he loved him, he wholeheartedly believes that Anakin is the Chosen One, even though he’s always expressed doubt. His faith in Anakin is unshakable and if Anakin had just cried on Mustafar and said he was sorry, Obi-Wan would’ve accepted his apology and all of his actions and would’ve just hugged him.
The pain on Obi-Wan’s face when he’s watching Anakin burn. He’s tired and running on adrenaline and he still picks up Anakin’s lightsaber and he can’t even bring himself to watch Anakin die, he leaves because he can’t bear it, he can’t stand it, even after everything, he doesn’t want Anakin to die.
His face as they’re flying off of Mustafar. He’s so sad and he’s so quiet and he’s so tired and he’s so lost. He doesn’t know where to go, he doesn’t know what to do, and it wasn’t the destruction o the Jedi that left him purposeless. We saw him taking in the destruction and saw that it only encouraged him to warn off survivors and that he was still full of energy and still hoping to help people. No, it was the loss of Anakin. Anakin has been his guiding light since Obi-Wan suddenly found a nine-year-old thrust into his arms and was told to raise it. Anakin has been his reason to live and to improve and to push himself and without Anakin, he feels so lost, adrift at sea, torn apart, and his face as he’s leaving says that he’s going over every second of the fight, every second of Anakin’s Knighthood and Padawanship, trying to figure out what he could have done differently so that Anakin didn’t do this.
Yoda is lucky that Qui-Gon was both Obi-Wan’s Master and the guy who figured out how to be functionally immortal, and that Luke was born. If neither of these things happened, I don’t think Obi-Wan would’ve made it. I think he would’ve died.
But Obi-Wan is the first person to hold Luke. He doesn’t put Luke down, he holds him and while he showed Luke to Padme, he just glances over and then says “It’s a girl,” about Leia. When Bail offers to take Leia to raise her, Obi-Wan’s first concern is “What about the boy?” Yoda says they’ll take Luke to his family on Tatooine and Obi-Wan immediately says he’ll take him and watch over him, and Yoda immediately recognizes that as Obi-Wan exiling himself.
Hearing that he could speak to Qui-Gon again brings some hope back to him. Luke and Leia bring some hope back to him. But he is still broken because Anakin isn’t there to experience it all with him. Anakin isn’t there and Anakin will never be there again and Obi-Wan exiles himself into the desert because he feels like he failed Anakin.
By taking on the burden of responsibility for all of Anakin’s actions, Obi-Wan is basically blaming himself for the eradication of the Jedi, the rise of the Empire, the death of Padme, and countless terrible murders that will happen over the next nineteen years.
And the Obi-Wan Kenobi series just further cements that Obi-Wan blames himself for all the bad that has happened in the universe, to the point of cutting himself off from the Force and inadvertently cutting himself off from Qui-Gon and he never even tries to interact in person with Luke and he only ends up saving Leia because there’s no one else who can do it.
Obi-Wan’s exile on Tatooine is kind of split in two possibilities, in terms of canon. There’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, the series. And there’s Obi-Wan’s Journals, in the comics. And both of them go over the possible journey from sad, depressed old man to sad, depressed old man who occasionally uses the Force. There are a lot of common points between the two, actually, more than I want to get into here, because what’s important is that it doesn’t matter if it’s Leia or Luke inspiring him to pick up his lightsaber again, because it’s always them reminding him of Anakin that gives him enough hope to have the strength to use the Force.
It was Leia being Anakin’s daughter and somehow acting just like him, stubborn and passionate to a fault. It was Luke being Anakin’s son, so full of kindness and justice that he does incredibly stupid things completely selflessly. Whether it was Leia being stubborn and righteously furious or Luke being kind and stupidly confident, Obi-Wan saw them fighting for what was right. He saw them embody the spirit of a Jedi. Never giving up, putting themself between danger and people, willing to die for people they didn’t know and who would never know or care about their sacrifice.
And it reminds Obi-Wan of Anakin because Obi-Wan saw Anakin as the pinnacle of a Jedi. In his mind’s eye, Anakin was the most selfless, kind, stubborn, stupid, passionate person in the entirety of the galaxy, and that was what made him so good at being a Jedi.
(Obi-Wan does not believe that one has to follow all the rules to be a good Jedi. Obi-Wan was Qui-Gon Jinn’s apprentice. At most, Obi-Wan believes that he himself has to follow all the rules to be a good Jedi, but he definitely thinks that other Jedi can break the rules and still be great. I mean, his friend is Quinlan Vos, dude. There is no way that Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padawan of Qui-Gon Jinn and friend to Quinlan Vos and Master of Anakin Skywalker, isn’t just super hypocritical about rule following. Obi-Wan has to follow all the rules or else he is disgusting and shameful and a waste of space. Everyone else has to follow the rules when the rules apply but if the rules are keeping them from doing something, well, who hasn’t bent the rules a bit from time to time?)
Luke is Obi-Wan’s and Yoda’s hope because he isn’t as quick to anger as his father and sister. He doesn’t get as frustrated. He’s melancholy and optimistic and he’s stupidly willing to throw himself in front of a maniac with knives and get stabbed like ten times just to protect the weird sentient rock monsters he met five seconds ago (the 2015 run is a little bit weird). Leia is their second choice, but only because she is so much like Anakin that Yoda probably went “Obi-Wan, remember what happened last time do you?? Mustafar you want to relive?? Train another Skywalker who bites you want to do????”
When Obi-Wan tells Luke or Leia that they’re like their father, he only ever means it in a positive way. He isn’t talking about Darth Vader. He’s talking about his Padawan. His best friend. His brother. The person who never broke his trust and always had his back and who was ceaselessly passionate and optimistic at the worst of times and who jumped out of speeders and who he loved more than anything in the galaxy. He tells Leia she has Anakin’s traits, but he mentions the good alongside the bad because he doesn’t view Anakin’s passion as a failing. He tells Luke he’s like his father and he says so with such a strong fondness and affection for Anakin.
He loved Anakin so much that I think he really did view Vader and Anakin as two separate entities. He had to view them as separate. And that’s what he was trying to get Luke to do. Don’t view Darth Vader as his father or as Anakin, view him as Darth Vader. He tried so hard to keep Vader and Anakin separate in his mind. But he still accepts the fault for teaching both of them, he still puts the blame on himself, and even while he’s blaming Vader for Anakin’s death, Obi-Wan can’t help but blame himself for letting Vader become too powerful and out of control in the first place.
And I am crying about it.

Nothing Between Us But Light?
Bestest of besties. Sister of my heart. You know very fucking well that this behemoth has very nearly not been touched since its conception last year because my desire for this story currently outstrips my ability to write it. But that's what I get for putting it on the list I suppose, so. Very well. For you:
Commander Fox had never met Quinlan Vos when the Jedi shadow brought proof that Palpatine was the Sith. They brought him down together. Now Quinlan is missing, and Fox is slowly falling in love with the traces of the man he finds while he tries to bring him home.
Fox was staring into space, sitting on the couch in Quinlan’s apartment when the door opened. He couldn’t muster the energy to look and see who it was. He’d already given up on it being Quinlan. “Oh. Hello Commander Fox,” said a soft feminine voice. Secura then. Quinlan had been her master; it made sense she’d come here. “Have you heard from Quinlan?” “No. You?” he asked. “Me neither,” she sighed. Fox felt the couch dip beside him and glanced over as an arm went around him. Bly. Secura started making tea in the kitchen. “Doing alright, vod?” Bly asked. Fox shrugged. “Fine. Just tired.” “Yeah.” The soft clink of teaware was the only sound, and soon Fox could identify the familiar scent of the smoky tea Quinlan always smelled of. “Didn’t realize you were close with Vos,” Bly said after a minute. “I’m not.” They'd only known each other a few weeks. “It’s amazing how some things just have a way of bringing people together,” Secura said as she sat the tea tray down on the table in front of them. She carefully poured three cups. “Things. Like killing Sith.” “Exactly like that,” Secura said with a smile. “It’s how Obi-Wan and Anakin and Padme all met too.” “Mm, she loves telling that story,” Fox said with a small smile over his teacup. “Skywalker sounds like a cute kid. Wonder what happened?”  A laugh punched out of Bly’s chest and Secura giggled. “Quinlan was almost on that mission too,” she said. “He was on Tatooine at the time, but he couldn’t break cover to help them. I was thinking I’d get in touch with some of his contacts there, and elsewhere, to see if they’ve seen him.” Fox said nothing. Quinlan was gone, disappeared like the Shadow he was, and the Jedi were barely putting in a cursory effort to find him so far. Would his former padawan do more? She had plenty to keep her busy, and happy as well, going by the way she and Bly looked at one another. “And you’re welcome to stay here as well. Quinlan won’t mind at all,” she said. There were a lot of Vode staying in the temple, it turned out. The Jedi had opened their home to them completely. The place was huge, with hundreds of lower levels, as if it grew with Coruscant itself.  Bly told Fox where to find the Quartermaster - where he was supposed to have gone when he was released from the Halls of Healing, but he found himself slicing into Quinlan’s apartment instead - so he could get anything he needed, including a room assignment. He got a change of clothes, soft beige linen, but nothing else. One of the Guard would bring him blacks and armor as soon as he commed them anyway.  He took Secura at her word and stayed in Quinlan’s place. He slept on the couch despite Secura assuring him he could use the bedroom. She and Bly visited every day, but they didn’t comment on this. Eventually he bumped into Rex in the halls of healing and experienced a moment of blind panic thinking his vod'ika was injured. Fox hadn't heard he was back from Anaxes. Rex was fine though, if surprised at Fox pulling him into a crushing hug. He hadn't seen him since then ordeal with Ahsoka. Rex introduced him to his ARCs Fives, Tup, and Echo. The same Echo Ahsoka had been so torn up over losing at the Citadel. “It’s a miracle he survived,” Fives had said, pulling Echo close against him. “One I’m grateful for every day.” Later, back in the apartment, on Quinlan’s couch, Fox thought about that. About miracles, and Rex believing in the impossible enough to go on a wild goose chase for Echo. He commed General Secura. “Let me help you find Quinlan,” Fox said immediately when she answered. Secura smiled at him. She smiled a lot. “Of course. I was hoping you would say that.”

Highway
Pairing: obiwan x you
Warnings: none
Word count: 2600
You cross the street with your backpack hung on one shoulder. The excitement building through your system, the sun was shining and after your days of blue, it was beginning to feel nice again. You spot the petrol bunk, the place you had agreed to meet Anakin for the start of your road trip. But just as you approach it, your phone vibrates in your hand, it was most likely him asking you where you where. But that was not what it read.
Hey, I’m so sorry but something came up at work and Padme needed help.
I know you were looking forward to this and my brother overhead it and ...
You look away from your phone. His brother. The breeze died and the depths began to engulf you. Your heart was a target and the arrow had his name written on it, so much so that you left it in place rather than taking it out. Cause then he was still a part of your life. Unlike how he didn’t show up when you stood at the altar.
This was not what you signed up for. It was going to be a weekend, filled with salt air and lemonade. Not this. Not him.
“Hello.”, his voice sounded the same, so did the pain.
The door to the convenience store was half open and he was halfway through it, his hand holding onto a tray with two cups of coffee and a box of macaroons in a transparent bag.
You shoved the phone in your pocket and turned away, because your eyes were begging you to look at him.
“Wait.”, he said urgently and you cursed yourself for doing so, for stopping in your tracks till he came into your field of view again. His ocean eyes were wide and concerned.
“He told you didn’t he? I told him not to.”, he sighed and it only made you angry.
“And somehow that’s the better option?”, you asked, not willing to hide your emotion.
His throat ran dry. He stood there without words to say because this was the first time he heard your voice again ever since..
He brought himself back to the moment. It did him no good dwelling on that day. But here you were and he was a deer caught in headlights.
“I know. I wanted to –
“It was clear what you wanted a year ago. Not me.”, it came out of nowhere and you froze.
There was that shift in his eyes again, every time he hid he was hurt but it only frustrated you that you could read him so well and yet hurt him in all the right places.
You didn’t apologize. For all the agony you had felt, it only felt fair for him to feel a little of it too.
“I’m not going anywhere with you.”, this was much softer.
Pathetic, a thought passed.
All this time and yet you’re unravelling.
He didn’t need an explanation. He didn’t need an answer when he never gave you one. So you left him standing there, trying to pace your steps so you didn’t take of running.
“Anakin is getting married.”, he told you.
“What?”, you turned to him again. But now, shocked and surprised.
He shrugged his shoulders and it fell into place. He was doing it for him, he was here against his wishes.
“He was going to tell you after this trip. Hoping that we could make amends and show up for his day.”, he spoke calmly as he took a step towards you.
“So all of this was a lie too.”, you pursed your lips, but his eyes weren't lying, he looked away as though another second...
Another second and he will break all over again. His chest tightened, this was torture. To watch you believe everything he felt for you was a lie. If only you knew.
“I can say nothing to convince you, I am not worthy of it. But for his sake, I wanted to try.”, he told the truth. He always had.
“He’s on his way to the resort and will meet us when we get there to tell you his ‘big news’ and by doing so everything in his life will be complete.”, he elaborated.
“His family will be whole.”, he said and the best of your heart was loud in your ear.
He had single handedly ruined Anakin’s surprise but that was to convey the intent of his actions. His brother considered you family even though you werent. And it would take someone truly  stone cold to be able to break Anakin’s heart. That wasn’t you.
You exhaled, shifting your weight. This was going to be a reckless decision. But the more you thought about it, it only solidified that both of you were going to endure it for Anakin.
“Only for Anakin’s sake.”, you said calmly and he dipped his head like he agreed to it wholeheartedly.
“I’m not going to speak to you. Or interact with you. Or anything else you might think of. This is just another Uber ride.”, you tell him point blank. But replacing his wounded eyes were his bright smile as he took in your words.
“Wouldn’t ask that of you.”, he said with a certainty and that tug in your heart was back again. He knew you and you couldn’t replace that with someone else.
With that, a silence settled between you and him. He kept his promise, no words were exchanged but the actions were loud enough. He helped you with your bags when he didn’t have to. Shared a cup of coffee and when you held it, your name was spelt perfectly on it. He fueled the car and that’s when you truly let yourself see him, through the reflection in the side mirror.
The sides of his hair was cut short, his chin was exposed with a day's stubble on it. He wore tshirts now that fit his body well as opposed to how he had been a year ago. When his hair was longer, his beard thicker and his frame silhouetted and hidden behind long coats. Now, he looked different.
There were two parts to the journey, the first half where he would drive and second half where you would switch with him. It was just that, the energy that passed between you before the tragedy was divine. Like life was a playlist with all your favourite songs and he would sing them along with you. Now, it was static noise, that briefly stopped when you caught his eyes. Which was often, because everytime he looked back through the rear view mirror, his eyes will dwell on you for a second.
Mentions of the weather and traffic. Some news that he had read a while ago. You mention his neighbor’s crazy cat. He laughs. Small talk seemed alright. The air con was on and the vaccum was comfortable, even with him in it. You look ahead but your eyes catch his side profile illuminated but the afternoon sun, his eyelashes fuzzy and golden, his cheeks smooth and sleek that your mind compelled you to lean forward and trace your finger down it. Your phone vibrated and it reminded you of where you were and the reality of the rift between you and him. The notification was that your battery was running down and the charger wire you had wasn’t long enough to connect it from the back seat.
He had noticed your confounded expression and realised something was wrong.
“Everything alright?”, he asked glancing at you through the mirror.
“I need to charge my phone and my wire isn’t long enough.”, he heard you say, he hummed before suggesting to you a solution that would most likely distract him from driving.
“You could sit in the passenger seat.”, a suggestion. His eyes flicking to find yours. His fingers clenching tight around the steering wheel.
“We’re in the middle of a highway. I don’t want to be the cause of an accident.”, you look away and he deflates.
“It didn’t stop you during that trip we took to the countryside.”, he raised his eyebrows, as though he was suggesting..
Suggesting you had changed, when he was the one with a different coffee order and a whole new persona. But the trigger was enough, to prove to him that you were the same, that you were unaffected. So you took the bait.
“Fine., you caught his eyes.
“At the next junction.”, you said calmly.
The junction was fast approaching and the car slowed down, giving you enough time to slip you feet into the passenger seat. You held onto the head rest of the seat, trying your best not to touch him at any cost. Because, that would lead down the remembrance of all the nights all you did was feel his touch. So you focused on only getting into the seat. But the car ahead moved and the motion pulled you back.
Your footing became unsteady, you hand wavered to hold onto the other seat but instead you caught his shoulder sending a rush of warmth through your body. His eyes meet yours for a brief second, you quickly slipped into your seat, tugging on the seatbelt to slide across you when the car ahead stopped suddenly causing him to hit the breaks.
You jerk forward, to brace yourself but you didn’t collide into anything. With your eyes closed, all you feel is soft skin on the side of your torso. You look below to see his hand across your body bracing you from the sudden impact, the edges of his finger tips sinking into your exposed abdomen. His other hand holding the wheel steady, his wide eyes catching onto to what he had done. Your lips part slightly, both of you breathing quickly. The car in the back honked and you both split apart, he whipped back his hand to rest it on his jeans and you put your seat belt on.
Neither of you wanted to acknowledge what was done.
He was nervous now, that he ran his hands over the gritty texture of his pants then maybe it would erase the tingle in his fingers. He was going to cause his own downfall because you were right next to him, making him cautious of his movements. So when he heard a familiar tune on the radio he turned up the volume.
“This was your favorite.”, he mumbled.
You turned to him, a soft smile as you huffed. Your chest still a flutter with the adrenaline soaring through your body.
“You remember?”, you asked him.
“It’s our song.”, he shrugged his shoulders.
“It was.”, he corrected himself and the smile on both your faces disappeared.
“You used to hum it in your sleep.”, he heard you and it took him back, to when he had everything. Waking up next to you, to hold you close, to turn around and have everything in his world be right because you laid by his side. He inhaled deeply. He had lost it all.
The first part of the journey was done. You survived, half of it. He pulled up into a rest zone and rolled his shoulders. He rested his head back against the cushion and you both stayed as you were.
“So, was it another woman?”, you asked. The question seamlessly rolling of your tongue because it plagued you. He turned to you, confusion written across his face.
“Atleast that’s what the crowd whispered.”, you told him.
“No.”, he said softly.
“Then?”, you leaned in. Curious and well aware that it was going to break your heart.
He looked away.
“Obiwan.”, you whispered and his eyes snapped back to yours. It felt like ages since he had last heard his name on your lips.
“Give me a reason.”, you pleaded.
“So I can hate you fully.”, your eyebrows furrowed in pain.
“without having to hold out hope that it somehow wasn’t your fault.”, these words were bubbling out.
“because you loved me in a way no one else could and I don’t know how to move on.”, tears filled the brim of your eyes.
He mirrored your emotion as he swallowed.
“I got a call.”, He steadied himself, looking ahead.
“Anakin fell in with the wrong crowd and got involved with this one notorious businessman, Palpatine, who was known to trade in shady dealings.”, his pinky finger touched yours and you held onto every word that spilled out of his mouth.
“They were at his house before he could leave to our wedding and he called for me. And I had to go.”, a tear streamed down his cheek as though it had tormented him every day.
“And I had hoped to be back in time, to run down the aisle even if I had been bruised or my coat torn. I.. I tried.”, he stumbled with his words softly.
“You were hurt?”, you whispered to suppress your agony.
He nodded to your question.
“But it all happened the way it did, I ran out of time and we didn’t want this to get out, because it would tarnish Anakin’s name and so I had to keep the secret.”, he finally turned to you.
“And by doing so, I hurt you.”, the pain was evident. And you reached out to hold his hand, the simple action causing him to be stunned.
“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”, you asked, your heart now in pieces to have spent the year convinced to be away from him.
“It was easier to have them tear me down than to show my face and beg for forgiveness, you didn’t deserve any of that.”, he spoke and it struck you. It was his nature, to be selfless and that was what he had been doing, even though it tore him down.
“Obiwan.”, you edge closer and he shook his head.
“I will never move on. You’re the only woman I will ever love and everything in the world reminded me of you.”, he spoke fast out of nervousness when he noticed you edging closer towards him.
“The smell of coffee, old Spotify playlists, lilacs, blue skies, macaroons, -
You turned him towards you, somehow all the pain you had felt long before vanishing as he mumbled all your favourite things, his blue eyes bore into yours, your name a rough whisper in the back of his throat.
“I’ve missed you.”, he said and that’s all was needed
You placed your lips on his and it felt like nothing had ever happened. Like he showed up to your wedding, you drove off into the sunset and you were here, taking a road trip together. That kissing him was just a regular gesture and that he hadn’t vanished from your life.
He hummed against your lips, but his sweetness turned to thirst and hunger as he slipped his hand behind your neck to bring you closer, his tongue parting your lips to deepen the kiss and you drifted closer, your finger holding back his longer strands of hair from his forehead as you crossed over to him.
His breath hitched in his throat when you splayed your hands on his chest and as your legs straddled his hips.
“I’m sorry.”, he whispered as he kissed your neck.
“Shhh.”, you tilt his chin so his eyes could meet yours.
“I could never hate you, Obiwan. It only hurt to think you didn’t choose me.”, you said quietly and the worry in his eyes turned into resolve.
“I’ll choose you in every lifetime.”, he held the sides of your face as though he wanted you to only know of that fact.
“Then make up for lost time.”, you whisper as his hands slid down your torso touching all the right places, his fingers tracing your exposed waistline and you realized that you could only love him.
“Then we’re going to be late, darling.”, he whispered in your ear as you chuckled.
“Making amends takes time.”, you click your tongue and he laughed, his voice nice and low. He encased you within his arms as he kissed you again and time was kind enough to give you a second chance.
The second part of the journey was unlike the first. You drove down an empty road. The windows were down, the sun was soft, he held your hand and nothing had to be said. He played the songs he would listen to when he was reminded of you and somehow that gesture was all that was needed to see no one else could ever love you like he did.
He would tell you stories and you laughed together, about how Anakin might be as he waited for Padme to walk down the aisle. You could see him turn to you in your peripheral vision and he looked content.
"Will be my plus one?", he asked sweetly.
"To the wedding?", you teased him.
"No, forever.", He replied and in the innocence of it all was his proposal that was hidden within it, just like he had asked you the first time.
"Yes.", you tell him as you drove off into the sunset.

Hello There! I haven’t really had much interaction with the clone wars community much so I’m just gonna put all my head cannons out there and hope for the best. (By the way it is Ok to disagree with these I am just putting these out for the fun of it)
-I imagine that Anakin is like this “fun dad” to the entire 501st, all the clones look up to him as a mutually respectable general but also the guy who would fight tooth and nail to keep each and every one of them safe and cared for. He has definitely helped a lot of his men through medical emergencies and panic attacks due to flashbacks, and also done goofy pranks on Obi-Wan the 212th to help distract his men from the dread that washes over when traveling to the next campaign. This guy was made to just be a father.
- Biromanic Asexual Obi-Wan. This guy flirts with all his opponents, must I say anything else?
-I know there’s a lot of confusion on if Ahsoka and Anakin have a Father-Daughter or Older Brother-Younger sister dynamic. I honestly believe that they way they view their dynamic is shifting a lot and seen as different from the duo but I do personally lean the Father-Daughter side as Ahsoka was a living being that Anakin was given the role of looking after and taking care of.
-Ahsoka definitely has jokingly called Obi-Wan “grandpa” to tease him for being the oldest of the three and Obi-Wan definitely deflected but hid a smile at the “joke comment”.
-AroAce Ahsoka. Why you may ask? Because I said so. I don’t wanna see her dating anyone. She need no romantic partner, she got her little chosen family. Cough Her color theme for Mandalore arc is the one for the AroAce flag Cough. When Ahsoka told Anakin that she didn’t romantically get attachments he definitely celebrated the fact he didn’t have to hunt any potential romantic partners down.
-No matter how awesome Ahsoka is at her job of being a commander, she definitely still is a child and definitely has some Anxiety issues to deal with. The order definitely ignored this and told her to “release these feelings through the force” and Anakin knowing better and being the good master he is keeps a extra bed in his chambers (on the cruiser and in the temple), bought her a tiny stuffed tooka for her to keep around when her “flight or flight was on at unnecessary times” (panic attack), and let her trail him around like a lost child when she felt like she couldn’t be alone. Rex and Fives definitely also found out and keep a eye on their little commander, inviting her to bunk with them and the men whenever they notice she keeps following the general around like a lost loath-cat.
-Pansexual Anakin. I don’t need to justify this. He loves everyone, he’s a guy who wares his heart on his sleeve. His most admirable trait is all the love he openly has to give.
-Sometimes when they’re on leave, Anakin and Ahsoka go visit Padme together just to simply have nights out or watch holonets together and just chill out and pretend to be a calm normal family for once.
-Anakin has PTSD. You cannot tell me that this man has been through so many freaking traumatic events in his life and does not have it.
I have so many more but I’m very tired of writing these so here you go for now, I wanted to speak more of the clones, I’ll probably do a second half when I get to it.

Hello, Tori. I got a request for ya: unfortunately, I don’t have a writing prompt but I got the comfort trope. Basically I’d like a fluffy Anakin x General Reader.
Maybe with a Thanksgiving theme at the Jedi Temple? ✨ Love your work!
hello, thank you for the request!! i tried to work thanksgiving as seamlessly as i could into star wars canon, so this is a post-clone wars au where anakin never turned evil and him and the reader are secretly married. i hope you enjoy!
words: 830
summary: a new tradition for the jedi involves attending dinner and talking about what you're thankful for, and your husband almost reveals your relationship to everyone at the table.
anakin skywalker masterlist
Thankful For You
When you and Anakin walked into the room, you both stopped at the sight of the absolute feast that adorned the large table. Neither of you had ever seen this much food before, and coming right out of a war only made your recent experiences with nutrition that much sadder. But now that the war was over and the galaxy was finished rebuilding from the chaos of the past few years, it was time that the Jedi came together once again.
You couldn’t remember the planet that this tradition originated from, but Master Yoda spoke of a celebration where those involved acknowledged the things they were grateful for over a shared meal with their families, and it was decided that the Jedi would host one of these events. The war had hardened every one of you, and it was the desire of the council to return to the peacekeeping ways of the past, something to which you agreed.
You were cautiously optimistic about this evening, but Anakin wanted nothing to do with it. He sulked and sighed when you first informed him of the invitation, and grumbled in annoyance when you told him that attendance was mandatory for all Jedi. He understood why he had to attend, as this was also serving as a memorial for those that had been lost since the outbreak of the war, but that didn’t mean he was too happy about it. He wanted to process his grief for his fellow Jedi and his fallen troops privately, rather than attend this kind of spectacle, and it had taken several kisses to get him back in a good mood.
It didn’t help that Anakin held some resentment towards the Jedi Code, specifically the part about not forming attachments. Despite your best efforts to remain a perfect rule-following Jedi, you had fallen in love with him as the two of you grew up together, and you had gotten married just before the beginning of the war. You were incredibly grateful that both of you had lived to see the conflict’s end, because your master had been one of the fallen, and both of you had come close to death on several occasions.
“I don’t know how I’m going to survive this dinner,” he said as the two of you were getting ready to leave. “Can’t we just tell them that we won’t be able to make it?”
You raised your eyebrows at him. “And when someone asks why both of us couldn’t attend, what are you going to say?
He was silent for a moment, then gave a (wholly unconvincing) fake cough. “We were sick?”
“There’s no way Master Yoda is going to buy that banthashit excuse.”
He sighed. “You’re right.”
“Come on, it won’t be all bad,” you said. “We can see if Obi-Wan sets a new record for most glasses of wine drank in one sitting.”
You took your place at the table between Anakin and Obi-Wan, Ahsoka across from you. The food was delicious, with half the dishes on the table being things you had never heard of before, but everything went together perfectly. You held Anakin’s hand under the table whenever you could, a slightly risky move given your present company, but you didn’t care.
When Master Yoda suggested that everyone go around and mention one thing that they are thankful for, Anakin slipped up for a moment. “The people I love,” was his response, and he quickly added “including my close friends in the Order and those who helped me during the war.”
You held your breath as you attempted to nonchalantly look around the table, wondering if anyone was going to say something to him that might expose your secret. For a second it looked like Obi-Wan was about to open his mouth in response, but he seemed to decide against it at the last moment. You wouldn’t be surprised if Obi-Wan had his suspicions about the two of you already, but you were glad that no one voiced any concerns.
You went next, and you chose to cite your current company as what you were thankful for, as well as all the fellow Jedi that had been lost during the war and all the clones you had grown close to throughout your time as a general. That seemed to user in a solemn moment for everyone, and your husband’s little slip up wasn’t brought up again.
That night in bed, you laid your head on Anakin’s chest, truly thankful for the comfort and warmth that sleeping next to him offered. “I really hope they don’t make that a regular event,” he said, moments before turning the lights out.
“I didn’t think it was that bad,” you said. “But I would prefer if you managed to keep the fact that we’re married a secret in front of the entire Order if we have another one though.”
“Hey! No one noticed anything.”
You stifled a laugh. “Sure honey. Just go to sleep.”

Hi, I like the fluff and Anakin Skywalker ,my love 💗 . I don't know what you think about the reader being a senator , kind of like Anakin and the reader love each other but not officially a couple yet , Ani is on a mission in the outer rim and it has taken him two months to come back .
Being away from his angel has given him time to realize that he needs her by his side . They confess their feelings to each other and then kiss and hug all the fluff.
Hope you like it
That's a nice idea! Hope you like it!
T/W: Just fluff, bad writing, let me know if I missed anything.
Word Count: 687
Tumblr media
Being a Senator was never easy, especially when you had long and boring meetings at the end of the day but knowing that your beloved Jedi would wait to escort you back to your chamber kept you going.
You see, a couple of weeks ago Anakin, a Jedi Padawan was assigned to protect you and although in the beginning, you were against that you soon found out that you rather enjoyed his company.
Well, to be honest, you had started catching feelings for him but you knew that it was very hard and he was a Jedi after all and you were a Senator and there were all these problems and… ugh, why did it have to be so difficult?
You brushed these thoughts off as you exited the meeting room and you met him, as usual, waiting for you.
"Hello Anakin" you smiled, your tiredness leaving immediately as soon as your eyes met his.
"Hello, Y/N. How was the meeting?" he was a little bit … distant. At least you thought so.
"As always. Boring and we argued again" you sighed. "But enough of this. How are you?"
"I am fine. I am just- um-"
"Anakin, what happened?"
"I am leaving tomorrow" he scratched the back of his neck nervously.
"Another mission?" you breathed relieved that it wasn't anything else.
"Yeah. Only that I don't know how long I'll be gone"
"Oh" your face dropped by the sound of these words, "I mean, it must be something important right?"
"Yes, it is"
"Then go and be as great as you're always" you smiled encouragingly at him.
He smiled too, "You are wonderful"
You hope he didn't notice you blushing hard when you muttered a thank you and you continued walking till you reached your destination.
"Well thank you for… you know"
"My pleasure"
You exchanged goodbyes and you both walked opposite ways when you stopped.
"Anakin?"
"Yes?"
"Be careful. Please"
"I will, I promise"
Two months. Two whole months and you hadn't heard from him. You were scared, scared that something bad had happened, that something had gone wrong.
You had asked everyone you knew but no one anything.
These months you had realized that reality without him was meaningless, that you couldn't live without him, that you… damn, you loved him.
Even if you didn't know Anakin had missed you too. More than you could ever imagine.
He counted the days to come back to you, see your beautiful face, hear your voice, the sound of your laugh.
He had realized how much he loved you from the day he left and he waited for the day he would return and tell you. Only that it took him longer than he had planned.
Finally, the day had come.
You ran to the platform the moment they told you that Anakin and his Master were about to land.
When the ship landed and the two figures became more and more clear as they approached you you examined them and thankfully no one had major injuries.
"Master Kenobi, Anakin, good to see you safe and sound"
"Senator L/N. Hope you're doing well" Obi-wan greeted you and when he saw the look you and his padawan exchanged he excused himself, saying he had to go and give a full report to the council.
You both watched him disappear and you couldn't help yourself but hug him.
"I missed you" you breathed out and felt his grip tighten around you.
"I missed you more"
You finally let him go "I need to tell you something" "I want to tell you something," you both said in unison.
"You first" you smiled.
"No, you"
"I love you and I-"
You were cut off by his lips crashing into yours, finally after all these months telling each other silently what you felt.
Only when you were breathless you pulled away.
"I love you"
He pressed his forehead against yours, "I love you too"
For the rest of the day you were together at your chamber cuddling, still not believing that he was and he would be by your side

That night you couldn’t sleep. You were stressed out about Ben and Dooku and the man that rents land to him. You felt stupid thinking you could flirt your way into information. Ben had obviously been annoyed at you, you could have jeopardized the investigation. What had you been thinking? And then you kept touching your right pinkie finger where Ben had touched his to yours. He was so handsome and his hands were so rough. You were already addicted to him and you didn’t know what to do. You craved his touch.
At some point you gave up and got out of bed, poured yourself some coffee and sat on the front porch to watch the sun come up. This was peace to you. The world was quiet and the fields were coming alive with the sunlight. You pictured yourself sitting here with Ben. You wanted him to look at you the way you looked at the sunrise, with amazement. You wanted to call him right then and there even though it was 5 in the morning.
By 5:30 you knew you had to start getting ready to work. The rye wouldn’t cut itself. You hated doing it though. It meant that the fields wouldn’t glisten and dance in the wind. It meant the geese would arrive and that Fall would soon be arriving. But it was just part of life. You wondered how long Ben would be around, or if he would go like the Summer, if it was inevitable for him to leave.
You’d finished two fields when you saw it. Big clouds of smoke were billowing in the distance. It was in the direction of your closest neighbor’s place. Concerned you tried to call him but it went to voicemail. This made you panic, there was clearly a large fire happening. You got out of your tractor and started running over there. It was about a mile away and it was hard to run in the dirt so you had to walk. Then you had a bright idea. This was your opportunity to call Ben. You had already put him in your contacts in your phone just in case. He picked up on the second ring.
“Hi” you breathed, also telling him it was you calling.
“Hello there. I’m in a bit of a situation at the moment. Can I call you back?” he responded.
“Is this about the fire?”
“What fire?”
This was not good. “The one that's happening right now.”
“Shit” he huffed, “Did you call the fire department?”
You hesitated. You’d called him, not the fire department. How stupid. What were you supposed to tell him? You decided it would be best not to lie. Then you heard sirens. “No, but there are sirens so I figured I didn’t need to.” At least that was semi truthful.
“So you decided to call me?”
You paused momentarily then meekly said yes.
All he responded with was a soft “oh”
“Well I guess I’ll let you get back to what you were doing.” You said disappointingly.
“Yes, uh I’ll try to make it over there if I can.”
How desperately you wanted him to. “Okay”
“Okay”
“Bye then”
“Bye” then he hung up. At this point you’d gotten close enough to smell the smoke and the sirens were deafening. You couldn’t believe what you were seeing, half of your neighbors property was blazing orange. The varied vegetation was charred. It had been such a dry summer, there hadn’t been rain in weeks. A fire police member saw you and walked over. You told him you came over because you saw the smoke and he told you to keep away from the fire, as if you were planning on standing right next to it. You took that as your cue to move away a bit. You know you didn’t need to stick around but you wanted to, you wanted to see if Ben would come.
Right when you had given up and were about to leave, fires were only so fun to watch for a while, Ben pulled up with Anakin in town. You couldn’t help but notice the way your heart fluttered. They both looked disheveled and distraught. You thought it was hot in a weird way. Then you started having thoughts like would Ben’s hair look as wild after you ran your fingers through it? Would he walk over with such urgency if he was walking over to kiss you?
You watched him walk over to the sheriff of your town. They talked for a while. Probably something about jurisdiction, you were assuming based off of the myriad of cop shows you’d watched in your life. Then all three of the men looked over at you and the other folks that had come over to see what was happening. You gave them a wave. Ben and Anakin approached the small crowd.
Anakin spoke first “We’re just gonna ask y’all a few questions quick.”
“I’m assuming you all saw the smoke and came over.” Ben said. You and the three other people nodded yes.
“Have any of you talked to Bill today?”
Everyone shook their heads no.
“Okay thank you.” Anakin said.
One lady asked what happened.
Ben, ever the diplomat, said they were still investigating. He said it with such a commanding attitude that everyone had no choice but to accept they wouldn’t be finding anything out while standing there.
You’d try your luck with Ben though and see what you could get out of him. After everyone else had walked away it was just you, him and Anakin standing there. And then out of nowhere Anakin gave Ben a cheeky smile and a pat on the back and walked back to his truck. You wondered what that was all about, you secretly hoped he could tell you liked Ben and that's why he gave you a chance to speak with Ben alone.
“Do you know anything?” You asked as you picked at a scab on your hand.
“Hard to tell, it’s been so dry.”
“Yeah,” you said defeatedly, “I know.”
He pointed at your hand, “you shouldn’t pick at that. It’ll scar.”
“I don’t mind.” You kind of liked your scars, each one telling a story. Some cuts from working, some from surgery, some from just being stupid.
“Well Anakin and I gotta get going. It was nice seeing you, even if it was under these circumstances.” He smiled.
Before he could leave you asked, “I live right down the road there. If you don’t mind, can I hitch a ride? It’s a long walk back to my tractor.” You were nervous to ask.
Thankfully he said “Gladly.” You grinned. With that you both hopped into the truck Anakin was already waiting in. And then you all went off into the road, dust blowing behind you.
As you were getting closer you became more anxious. Something about the fire felt off. You really didn’t believe that it was an accident. You’d seen something as small as a cigarette start a field fire. But nobody had seen Bill plus you didn’t think he smoked.
“Do y’all think it was arson?” You blurted out.
To your disappointment Ben said “It’s hard to tell you.”
Then Anakin pressed you, “Do you think it was arson?”
Without hesitation you said “Yeah, I do.”
“Why?” Anakin pressed further.
You shrugged. “Well if Bill’s not around. And I know it’s been dry but bushes don’t just spontaneously combust.”
“No they don’t” Ben added as he glanced back at you through the rearview mirror.

[WIP Wednesday]
Okay, so I'm trying to organize my Google Docs and get my NaNoWriMo going, so I'm going to share this and then delete it from my files. It was going to be in Asphodel, but then I took the story another way, so this was useless. But I liked it too much to get rid of it. Until today. :)
Background: Satine denies that Korkie is Obi-Wan's, except that Ahsoka and Anakin return from the "Corruption" arc in TCW and gossip spreads throughout the Temple that Obi-Wan's got a kid. (In Asphodel, he goes undercover before he learns of the gossip, so this is non-applicable. Originally, he was going to call her and..)
In the middle of her thoughts, a chime pinged out into the room, summoning her back to the moment. She looked up from the holo-files on her desk and grabbed her comlink, activating it.
It was Obi-Wan.
“Hello there, you perpetual-yet-beautiful pain in my ass,” came his voice as he appeared in a cloud of blue light. He was standing handsomely in his armor, and for a moment, she almost smiled.
The holo-glow was blinding in her office as Satine stood up and moved about the room, organizing and putting away things that had piled up on her desk. She hadn’t expected such a greeting but he was in rare form it seemed. Turning to look at the holo, Satine remarked dryly, “Look what the Core Worlds dragged in. Hello, General Kenobi. Is there something I can help you with today? I am very busy.”
Obi-Wan snickered and said, “I regret upsetting your schedule. I can see how overwhelmed you must be, straightening up your office. My, things in Mandalore must be wild.”
Satine sighed and said nothing, sadly gazing upon the holo-files that contained the dossiers on four of her guards.
Oblivious as to what she was really preoccupied with, Obi-Wan got to the point abruptly: “Satine, I’ve got half the Jedi Temple here in Coruscant gossiping about a supposed baby of ours. Do you know anything about this?”
Turning from the bookcase to glare at the holo, she appeared in shock as she responded, “You must be joking. Tell me you’re drunk.”
“No, not at all,” Obi-Wan responded sardonically, crossing his arms over his chest. “Apparently, the baby is your nephew. That darling boy you call Korkie,” he paused and shook his head and sidelined the conversation for a moment as he muttered under his breath, “A most unfortunate nickname. I hope you feel bad about that name, because you should.”
Walking back over to her desk and leaning her hip into the furniture, Satine rolled her eyes, “I’ve told you this before: I did not give him the name. It’s the name the nurses in Cadera gave him. Who am I to change someone’s name?”
Obi-Wan glared at her in the holo and then he raised an eyebrow, “Need I remind you, Duchess of Mandalore, that you call me Ben almost exclusively?”
Satine made a face, a bit sheepish at how he turned her remark around on her, and protested, “It just rolls off the tongue so much quicker when we’re arguing.” She crossed her arms over her chest and frowned, “Back to the point, what is going on in Coruscant?”
His jaw was tight as he explained, “The other sources of stress in my life known as Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano returned from Sundari raving about how Korkie resembles me. There was a conversation had about how he touches his chin like I do.” Obi-Wan looked exasperated at that, and he shrugged. “Everyone has become completely unhinged over here. Ahsoka shared the gossip with another padawan, and now the whole Temple is talking about it.”
“Oh dear,” Satine frowned, sitting on the edge of her desk as she looked away and thought back to when Ahsoka and Anakin had been there.
Obi-Wan rubbed his face with his hand and continued, “I have been asked to meet with the Council, not as a colleague, but rather before them so they can discuss the concerns that have been raised.”
This was what she had always been afraid of. She looked over at him in the blue glow of the holo and frowned, “I’m sorry, Ben. I can assure you, there was nothing we did from our end to give that impression.” And she was being truthful. She had never presented Korkie as anyone’s son, and if he had been Obi-Wan’s, she certainly wouldn’t have paraded him around in front of fellow Jedi Knights and padawans.
Looking at her with a grave expression on his face, Obi-Wan’s tone was low and somber as he implored, “Satine, is he my son?”
She bristled at the question and exclaimed, “Stars, no!”
“Satine.”
Leaning across the desk an inch or so in an effort to get closer to the image of him, Satine glared, “He is not your son, Obi-Wan.”
He narrowed his eyes, bringing his hand to his chin thoughtfully, “But the hair?”
“He had it when I found him.”
“And his face?”
“Plenty of people have high cheekbones.”
“And this?” he gestured to his hand resting at his chin.
Satine made a tired expression at him, “Darling, I picked up that habit from you, and Korkie picked it up from me. What can I say?”
“And his interest in lightsabers?” Obi-Wan looked serious as he asked that question, and when Satine laughed out loud in response, he seemed taken aback.
“If being interested in a lightsaber made someone your son, then guess what? You’re also Caepo’s father. Congratulations.”
Obi-Wan rolled his eyes at her and was quiet for a moment as he thought everything over. He had called her in a fury, angered to learn that his grandpadawan had spread gossip throughout the padawan dorms. His old friend Jedi Master Luminara Unduli had been the one to pull him aside on the meditation balconies and ask him if the rumors were true. She had ardently defended him, but the talk was spreading quickly.
“We’ve always been careful, yes?” Obi-Wan asked Satine, then corrected himself, “Well, no, there was that one time. Before Master Qui-Gon and I found Anakin. But you had already brought home Korkie.”
She nodded, following his timeline as she revisited memories in her mind, “We were nineteen when I was returned to Sundari, and we were twenty when you returned as an emissary.”
Obi-Wan frowned, “We certainly didn’t do our due diligence there, did we?”
The memory of their first sexual encounter was vivid in her mind, as Satine recalled the way it hadn’t been planned. It had been impulsive. As they fumbled through the motions of losing their virtue to one another, the last thing on their minds had been contraception. The slow burn of their mutual attraction had clouded all of their combined intelligence and better judgment.
Satine lowered her head and felt shame wash over her, “No, we certainly didn’t,” she murmured in return.
“Oh stars, we were, how old? That time you came to Coruscant?” Obi-Wan asked.
“We were twenty-three,” she clarified.
“And Korkie was..? I remember the holo-photos you showed me. He was a wee one.”
Satine nodded, “He was two.”
Obi-Wan narrowed his eyes, “And how old was he when you went to Cadera?”
Sighing heavily at the inquisition she was getting from him on the other end of the holo-chat, Satine glared, “A year after your emissary trip, I went to Cadera. He was less than a month old. Had been abandoned near the Emergency Services entrance at the hospital.”
“The timing,” Obi-Wan started to protest.
Satine had already been over it in her mind, many times, as she had prepared herself for speculation from her inner circle in Sundari. But the truth was, Obi-Wan had left too soon for her to give birth to the child in Cadera twelve months later; and the abandoned baby, with the remains of his umbilical cord clinging to him, was too young to be passed off as a three month old.
“Yes, I know,” she nodded. “The timing has always been a thorn in my side. I know what people wanted to assume.”
“And that time, before Anakin, when you called me..?” Obi-Wan asked.
There had been a scare.
She nodded, “Yes, when we were twenty-five. I panicked. I was just late.”
He looked at her in disbelief and exclaimed, “How do you remember all of this? I can barely recall it all.”
Satine sighed heavily, “The scrutiny over my womb is very important to many people both here in Mandalore and apparently, also there in Coruscant. You have no idea how many times I’ve had to recall this information on a whim to disprove someone’s ridiculous attempt at scandalizing Korkie’s existence.” She threw up her hands in an exhausted shrug, and she looked frustrated.
Obi-Wan acknowledged the timeline and processed the math and had to resign himself to the fact that there was no possible way he was a father. There was relief in knowing that he would be able to go before the Council and confidently discount the rumors, but still, he said with a frown, “He’s not my son.”
Satine nodded and turned her gaze aside as she felt uncomfortable with the line of questioning and his anger. The fact that he was mad was understandable. His commitment to the Jedi Order was potentially in question. Rumors about his discretion were now leading people to wonder if he had a secret child somewhere in another sector. How many fellow Jedi who knew him, loved him, and respected him now looked at him differently? Would he ever undo the damage that Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano’s loose lips had caused?
“I’m sorry, Obi-Wan,” Satine sighed.
His gaze snapped up in her direction and he raised an eyebrow at her.
“I’m afraid I can’t read you well today,” Satine admitted. “You seemed despondent just now, realizing..” Her voice trailed off and she shrugged. “I don’t know what outcome you would have preferred.”
Obi-Wan’s voice was sharp as he responded, “I want the truth, Satine.”
She looked at the glowing holo of him, and as the blue illuminated her face, Satine confirmed, “The truth is that he’s not yours. He’s biologically not even mine.”
On the other end of the call, Obi-Wan was silent with his arms crossed over his chest. She could see the veins in his neck peeking out from above his armor, and the subtle way the muscles of his jaw clenched.
“You swear it on your life, Satine Kryze?” his voice came, like a growl.
She faced him as she stood up and mirrored his body language.
“I swear it on my life, on his life, on my sister’s life, on yours, and on Mandalore.”
The conflicted lovers engaged in a staring contest as Obi-Wan tried to weigh the steel in her spine as she stood there, indignant and proud. Satine could see his anxiety was getting the best of him, as beads of sweat were forming near his hairline and he kept reaching up to brush his unruly hair from his face.
Satine was afraid for him as he had confided in her more than once that he feared being admonished by the Jedi Council. Of course, then he became part of the Council, but she was sure that old feelings of insecurity were getting the best of him. She walked around her office and resumed straightening up the classified documents and the data-chips that contained information on the funerals and final rites that would be happening for her guards.
A flicker of anger rose to the surface when Satine picked up the chip marked THRIJ LOC and she turned to take it out on Obi-Wan. Clearing her throat, she remarked, “You must consider me far more talented in subterfuge than you’ve previously let on. How would I have been able to keep a full-term pregnancy from you for all these years? And Korkie? Yours? What kind of man would you be - no, what kind of Jedi would you be with your Force gifts, to not realize the boy you’ve known about for years was yours?”
He was silent, watching her intently.
“You’ve watched him grow up in holo-photos! You’ve listened to me talk about him!” Satine demanded, looking both incensed and resigned all at the same time. She sighed, “How could I have possibly hidden him from you? And why?”
He took a deep breath and looked away, “I don’t know, Satine. You have always been so hesitant to let me meet him, and it’s always felt like you didn’t want us to become close.”
She shook her head, “Because, Obi-Wan, we are living separate lives. I didn’t want to confuse him when he was small, and we weren’t.. we aren’t..” her voice trailed off as she looked away. “You have no obligation to me.”
The weight of her words was heavy and he looked up at her and appeared apologetic.
Satine was despondent now, and under the weight of everything that was going on with the death of her guards, the aftermath of Almec’s betrayal, and now Obi-Wan’s frustration, she looked near her breaking point.
But her vulnerability made her uncomfortable, even in front of him, so Satine shrugged and tried to use humor to deflect by commenting, “And besides, there’s no way he could be yours. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him roll his eyes or look annoyed with me. Not even once.”
Obi-Wan was quick: “Maybe he’s just very good at hiding it from you.” He paused, and before Satine could respond, his words cut her like a knife, “Speaking of hiding things, are you sure he’s not yours?”
The sting was evident on her face as her eyebrows furrowed and she looked away for an instant. Her lips quivered and the muscles in her jaw tightened, but he knew it wasn’t sorrow. It was rage. For a moment, he believed he was about to experience the worst of Satine’s infamous beskar tongue, but to his surprise, it never came.
Instead, Satine looked back at him and said calmly, “You are treading on very dangerous ground, Obi-Wan. I am not your possession. If you want to accuse me of something, do it, and don’t speak in riddles.”
He nodded and then called her bluff, “Alright. I wonder if you conceived him with another man. There, I said it.”
She looked stunned for a second and her skin felt as though it was crawling as a heat rash began to spread upon her alabaster complexion. “I owe you nothing, but I have no reason to lie,” Satine hissed. “He is not mine. I love him as though he was, and in my culture, that is enough and therefore, he is mine. But no, I did not give birth to him.”
He was silent and Satine looked away.
Obi-Wan sighed, “I have to meet with the Council in a few moments.”
She was visibly upset but she asked calmly, “Call me later, would you?”
A hand rubbed at the back of his neck and he was noncommittal to her request. Instead, Obi-Wan’s blue eyes darted around and he griped, “I should go.”
Satine’s gut feelings were sending up warning signs about Obi-Wan. She hadn’t seen him like this in a long time, angry and quick to become incensed like this. Before meeting with the Jedi Council, she wanted to break the ice a bit, to give him a fighting chance of charming the figurative pants off all of them.
Satine sarcastically remarked, “Hey, jetii, now that the tooka’s out of the bag, I’m going to need you to come get Caepo next weekend for your visitation.”
Obi-Wan didn’t hesitate as he played along, “You’ll have to meet me half-way. I’m not coming all the way out there.”
He stayed stoic for a moment or two and then the corner of his mouth curled up into a very sly smile that he tried to hide.
Satine looked at him and stuck out her tongue at him, then reached for the device to end the call, hurrying as she said, “Tell Anakin and Ahsoka that the next time I see them in Coruscant, I will have a tongue lashing ready for both of them.”
“Will do.”
“Good luck.”
“I’ll need it. Thanks.”
“Love you.”
“Okay, bye.”
