lucas had a difficult life growing up, jumping from house to house in the foster care system, not actually knowing what it was like to have a loving family. but that didn't stop him to long for it. so it became his dream (and goal).

after working his ass off in tons of odd jobs and no sleep, he managed to buy his dream house and finish his college degree. now he's apt to have a stable (and definitely healthier) life, to be able to build his family with love and care, making sure his future kids never feel like he did in the past.

he's ready for the next (big) step… find his forever love!

(in the meantime, he's trying not to poison himself with his own bad cooking… i guess we should trust the process)

This one was a pain to convert and to lower it's polycount in my poor attempt to add morphs to it, but I gave up in order to keep details. So, this one is 24k poly !!! (and I strongly recommend to not use it for gameplay) without morphs / Has a single non-recolorable swatch.

Unlike the armor, this one was a dream to convert and for the very first time ever I didn't had to resize the texture so it looks great <33 The outfit is 8,7k poly, includes all morphs + pregnancy aaand has a single swatch which is fully recolorable (;

My dear followers,

This year has been very... intense... for me. I already wrote a long post about my mental health struggles, which put a huge stamp on my year. However, 2023 will also forever be the year I went back to my Sims, back to my stories, and back to Tumblr.

I spent five years away. Both because real life took over and because I had gotten into a rut with my Sims and the story. I never forgot them, though, and never stopped loving them. And suddenly, somewhere in February, it clicked. Everything fell into place, and I knew where I wanted to go with it all. In fact, it was this boy up here, my dearest James, who pulled me back. His story was suddenly clear as day to me. But how to begin? So, in March, I decided to just start writing. Then, I dusted off my game, found that all shortcuts and cheats were apparently in my muscle memory, and started shooting pictures to go with what I had written. And once I got going, I didn't stop. Everything I wrote in 2023 (and that's a lot!) even if it seemed unrelated, was geared towards James's story and the big moment that still lies ahead. However... As I've emphasised several times by now, I didn't account for this girl... So now it's like James said, "We'll have to see."

Coming back to my story brought me so much this year; I went from gameplay-based to story-based and found out how much I truly LOVE writing and how much it helps me, especially now that I'm going through rough times. Encouraged and inspired by someone dear to me, my story gained a title and came to Tumblr in full. I learnt to not only accept the benefits of poses, but how incredibly enhancing they can be to bring my ideas to life when used right. I reconnected with old contacts and made new connections too, some of whom proved to be true friends outside of this Tumblr/Sims world too. I've loved getting caught up on the stories I used to follow and discovering new ones. I've been amazed at how good CC has become in five years and pleasantly surprised to see there's still a good crowd playing TS3 in addition to the great things some of you are doing with TS4. All of this has been bright spots in my darkness.

And now we're entering 2024. I hope it will be light and bright for all of us. May the good days outnumber the bad ones and may we continue to feel the joy these little pixel-people bring us. Happy New Year to you and yours.

I wanted to make a post shouting out some of my favorite creators, storytellers, and just general simmers from over the last year, mainly focused on ts4 since that's where my attention has been the most. Long post ahead so it's going under a cut. If you're not tagged please know I did wake up late today so it's not as complete of a list as I wanted it to be!!

@adelarsims - You are an essential in my mods folder!! I love how much realism and/or character your cc adds to sims, from things like the piercing holes to the wonky glasses to the mechanic overlay... Just so many little things that I can't imagine not having in my game or on certain characters now. Speaking of characters, your sims both original and premade are always so gorgeous, and I really enjoy your interpretations of wg and jeb. & Thank you for being WCIF friendly, I know it takes time to get that info but it's so appreciated, u've help me find some very beloved pieces of CC. Also the level of dedication u have to organizing your mods folder is incredible and you've inspired me a lot to get my folder's act together finally!! Which is SUCH a QoL improvement

@bearphase - I adore the bright legacy and I admire all the little details and effort you put into your posts, like fixing clipping issues, making icons and templates for custom careers or story events, ur creativity really shines through. You've also reminded me how fun NSB can be and inspired me to get back to it and my human enough gameplay and I can't thank u for that enough, it's got me sooo excited for future simming endeavors

@daisydezem - You've been a welcome addition on my dash back since POSE, which was a fantastic first community experience for me and so much fun, & I love your gameplay & love how much work u put into rainbowsin! While I've never been a sims 4 hater, like a lot of people I've still struggled with the gameplay aspect of this iteration, so it's been really inspiring to watch how you go about your game and immerse yourself in it, see all the care you put into your sims. I have to thank you for the videos you've made on it, like the one on how to make sims you connect to, season 1 of Lovesick where you went basically vanilla with the specific intent to show people how much you can do with imagination and what that looks like in gameplay! It's been literally game-changing for me lol and helped me to have more fun with my saves, even if they're not one of the rare few that starts out off the rails, I get more enjoyment playing it out until things do start happening outside of my control. & YOUR CC RECS!! I've downloaded so many of the mods you've recommended and I love how much they fill out the game. On the topic of Lovesick, I have not been able 2 get enough!! I'm so hooked lmao. Watching this series has really taken me back to the days when I was a teen reading like those particularly juicy drama-filled sims 3 stories you can't help but to keep clicking "next page" on, except Lovesick is so solid writing-wise. SO excited to see where Lizbeth is going in her life!!

@simandy - Your hairs have been an essential in my CAS folder for so long, and I've been so impressed with the evolution of your creations over the years. I've always liked your work but GODDAMN the quality always blows me away these days!! & I really, really adore and appreciate the variety! @squea - ANOTHER SORT OF LONG ONE BUT ... Your sims just POP!!! SO much character, and your edits and art r phenomenal. Corn is one of my favorite little digital guys I've had the pleasure of experiencing on line in all my years in the sims community reading stories and gameplay. If Cornelius has a million fans I am one of them. If Cornelius has ten fans I am one of them. If Cornelius has no fans I am no longer on the earth. If world against Cornelius, I am against the world. So on and so forth TBH you've also helped me have a lot more fun with the sims 4 talking about how you enjoy your game, and have a healthier mindset about my place in the community and connect back with the reason I made this blog in the first place, which was just to have fun and archive something I love, regardless of whether it got any attention or not! I started going MIA a bit post 2019 after really getting involved in the community, for Life Happens reasons, and naturally the lack of consistent posting for a while meant less eyes on whatever I came back to share. For a while I let that discourage me esp when a lot of effort was put into something, but after you posted about just genuinely enjoying ur game and loving what you made regardless of notes it made me realize what I was doing and helped me get back to that state of mind. Now whatever I make gets to matter simply because it matters to me, even if I post it at like 3am bc I'm so excited and no one ever sees it bc of that DHKDHKHSD. & I feel like I have u to thank for that!! @warwickroyals - Ok so first off your clothing is a STAPLE in my folder for my more wealthy and/or fashion-oriented sims! And as for the Warwick Legacy? One of my absolute favorite simblr stories I've read. I still remember when I started it, it was pretty late at night so I was just planning on reading a handful of posts and then picking it back up the next day. That did not happen I could not stop. Straight up stayed up the entire night bingeing all the way to the latest post (which was the Big Phillip Thing. I had to get up from my computer to pace I was having a Moment LOL) I've got some catching up to do but so far I think that's been my favorite arc. Aside from that your editing is beautiful, and I've always been a character enjoyer so I'm in love with how much thought you've put into all of yours, and the fact we get to learn so much about them. I think you do a really good job of balancing the cast and I really dig your storytelling style in general.

hihi !! my name is emmy (any pronouns) and i'm from the united states ! i'm 18 years old, and officially heading out to college in a few months time to study information science.

i've been playing the sims 4 for about.... seven years now??? wow actually typing that out is weird but yeah i've been hooked on ts4 since middle school 😭 however, i feel like i've only really started playing seriously around last year. i have a long history of being "anti cc", then becoming an alpha cc user, then anti alpha cc, then a maxis match user, and now, i just use whatever piece of cc floats my boat long as everything looks good together lol

i think i first stumbled onto simblr sometime in 2019, and have been lurking ever since via various accounts to track new cc and mods. i've since been using it to try and improve my cas game too (which is still a little shitty, buy you can be the judge of that yourself). a few days ago, i was making a simself (pictured above) and thought "hey !! this looks pretty good !!" and, in a split second decision, decided I was finally worthy for simblr in some way shape or form.

in general, i plan on posting random cas stuff, like my oc sims, lookbooks, as well as sims from media I love !! also expect some occasional gameplay screenshots !! i'm also wciff if thats worth anything c:

2023 was such a rollercoaster ride for me. A lot has happened within this year. I've experienced a lot of emotions, from grief to joy, worry to relief. One would think that all of the significant events that happened was a long time ago, like a year ago, but it's not!

Not only that, I've noticed I'm posting a lot more here. When I first came back to this blog of mine (I had this since 2015), I wasn't sure what to do. I posted some screenshots of TS4, sometimes screen records of Mass Effect. And then, I decided to do a legacy save file. The Davis Legacy. And from that gameplay birthed more sims and their own stories.

I also became brave on posting my OCs, Priscilla Wuest, Anthony Harrison, and Albert Lucio. I didn't mean to post some of their stories here, and only planned on posting Priscilla on gorgeous dresses and hot poses, but alas, I shared their stories here, and I'm so glad to the people who read and fell in love with them. Thank you, for reading my stories. Your comments always make my day.

Thank you to @natolesims and @thebramblewood for tagging me. This is such a fun tag and it was really cool to look back at my first post in this account. The I dug into my old simblr and realized I've been posting about my sims on and off for over a decade. What am I? A dinosaur?

These are screenshots from this simblr -- windslar formerly known as plasticine-dolls (iykyk). Picture on the right is Ms. Julep Berry from my NSB challenge. I only got around to posting up to the yellow (3) generation, but I actually played all the way to plum (5). And girly on the right is none other than my 2nd gen heir for my current gameplay. It's amazing what a little cc and gshade can do for a screenshot.

These are from my OG simblr which shall not be named (so don't ask) but if you happen to find it, please enjoy all my 'unfinished' gameplay over the years. My first ever post was a screenshot from TS3 around the time I discovered simblr and I was interested in using it as a tool for storytelling. The picture on the left is my legacy founder (it only lasted 2.5 generations, are we surprised?) when TS4 was released. This was as vanilla as vanilla gets because there were no mods yet and we were missing so.many.features. But it was a good time. Not going to lie, I remember the community being frustrated by all the things that were missing; but everyone just posted their very rudimentary screenshots as they were discovering the new game, and there was something so easygoing about it.

I've loved seeing other simmers sweet beginnings on my dashboard so I tag anyone reading this to do the same.

I am not posting much atm, here is why

heya, I'm pretty quiet on the posting front at the moment. This has several reasons. Since this might come across as a bit whiny, feel free to skip this personal ramble.

The good stuff first: I made a pact with my best friend and now we take a long walk together every week to increase our fitness levels. It encourages me to leave the house and get some fresh air and be in nature and it feels very good! We actually did a lot more together in the last months than just the walk, so I am quite busy and also often exhausted from the activity. I have also gotten back into Anno 1800 now that the game has reached its final state, and I am fixing some old mods that are not available anymore but I cannot live without, and I am also working on some of my own mods. The reason why I am taking a break from making patterns has mainly to do with the negative feelings I developed in the last months. I have been putting off writing this post for weeks, but my feelings have not gone away and I want to address this particular issue. Tbh, I often get aggravated when viewing my dash these days. I'm not the most emotionally stable person and my self-worth comes also from external sources, like feedback for my patterns, which is not ideal, but it is what it is right now. Lately, I feel that as a creator of recolorable patterns, I am being pushed deep into a corner. I've always considered myself a niche creator, catering to patterns kinda does that! But I feel like I am becoming obsolete, now that a lot of creators only make Sims 4 conversions and are usually not fully recolorable. I also fear that more and more creators will forget/will never learn how to make clothes and objects recolorable if all they do is add non-recolorable Sims 4 presets. I consider the Create-A-Style tool to be the most important feature of TS3 (together with open worlds). It is such a unique feature, and it breaks my heart to see that not being valued as such. I feel like we should celebrate that, and I try to with my patterns, but it's just so hard to keep it up when most creators do not seem to particularly care anymore. I wish more creators would make the good old Frankenmeshes 😥 I would love to see more ts3 and ts4 frankenmesh mashups. Creators would need to learn how to turn Sims 4 textures into greyscale ones and step up their uv-mapping game a bit, and then it could be a thing... There could even be an open library of recolorable sims 4 textures and remapped meshes that all creators could contribute to. That way, creators could use them and would not need to remake every texture from scratch by themselves. Over time, that would greatly decrease the effort that would need to be put in to make new creations this way... I know that most of you follow me because you really value my patterns and use them in your games, and I know that people who play mainly with vanilla content won't have that problem at all, as 99% the EA stuff can be recolored. But it's just that I see those non-recolorable conversions everywhere on my dash, and it is so disheartening. I guess as a creator, I want to feel welcome in the TS3 creator community, and lately, I do not feel particularly seen or valued as a member of that group. Maybe my Tumblr bubble has shoved me somewhat outside of the group that I would feel more valued in? Maybe I need to adjust my dash. But I do not want to unfollow everyone who posts these conversions. They are nice in their own right, it's just that I can't handle them very well right now. How do you deal with stuff that you do not want to see? do you unfollow people, do you block tags? I've been mostly avoiding my dash, but that does not seem like a good solution. If you post gameplay pics with my patterns or are a creator that makes their stuff CAS-Tool compatible, feel free to tell me below so I can follow you. Just seeing more people use my patterns would probably lift my spirits!

I feel like I should've made this post a long time ago but hey, better late than never✌

My name is Coco. I'm 21 years old, a college student, and from New York, USA. I'm getting my degree in Early Childhood Education, specifically teaching students who are learning English as a second language. I speak English, intermediate Spanish/Español and beginner Korean/한국어. I practice these languages in my free time and try and play all my favorite video games in Spanish or Korean.

I started playing Sims at 11 years old when I downloaded the mobile app Sims FreePlay, but I didn't play my first main Sims game, TS4, until I was 14!

I play Sims 4, 3, and sometimes 2. I've been writing fiction stories since I was 6 and I've also always loved playing with dolls, so Sims is kind of like my virtual dollhouse where I can make any story I want for my characters. My writing and dialogue skills definitely need work, but lately I've been dabbling in storytelling when posting my gameplay. Keep in mind that I try and play more realistically, which means my posts may contain adult themes. Please read content warnings before viewing any of my gameplays.

This blog is for Sims 4 content only. I post my Sims 3 gameplays on @luckypalmz.

Also, many of my sims are LGBT, specifically wlw, as I also am. Homophobia is NOT tolerated here and I won't hesitate to block you if you're hateful.🏳‍🌈

i don't really have any gameplay going on atm (rip attilio) since my blog is mostly just focused on my ocs. but if you want to learn about my ocs it's fairly easy, i think.

for a general grasp on the vibe and aesthetic of my ocs, there are pinterest boards here for theo and matthias and here for the rest of my ocs (+ mattodore's old boards), and i have some oc playlists here. theo and matthias also both have blogs for things i think they'd like: @theodoredoe @matthiasevanoff. 18+ warning for both of them.

i have a character page here for theo and matthias and it explains the way they grew up and how they got to where they are in their 20s as the story starts. i'd begin reading there and then move onto reading theo's 60 questions and matthias's 60 questions (both of which are short and to the point. you can also click through to their 100 questions posts if you want to read a more in-depth questionnaire). from there it's just a matter of looking through the #oc extras tag i made in chronological order. reading my tags is also important! i love to spill things there.

also... i guess i should explain how they know each other. i've never explicitly said how they meet since that would be a spoiler... but i've said before that they've had two first meetings, which is an important distinction since theo can't remember the first time at all while matthias remembers all of it. they encounter each other again at one of the parties matthias throws and matthias leaves a very strong impression on theo. a lot of incidental meetings happen after that until at one point they end up sleeping together. from there they take off. i normally talk about mattodore from this point in their relationship where they're not quite together but might as well be.

There are a lot of new good ones but hands-down my ultimate all-time favorite is the Community Time mod by crammyboy, as later tweaked by Chris Hatch. I cannot live without this mod and it is 50% of the reason I hate playing TS4. Why is it suddenly an ISBI anytime someone leaves the house? Who wants to play that game??

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?

I was definitely a casual player/serious CC collector for most of the first decade of the game. I was probably one of the first people to experience pink flashing from overloading dense, urban neighborhoods, and the game never being able to handle my dreams (in aLIVE mode) limited my actual playtime substantially. I took a couple years off and then in 2016 or 2017 came back enraptured with the Test of Time challenge (and modifying the ToT challenge rules as much as anything). Meraki is my third iteration of that, working past neighborhood corruption (1ST attempt; 4th gen) and founder fatigue (2nd attempt; barely got off the ground, it was just too weird trying again). Now (lately) I'm back to regular modern play (which means CC collecting and neighborhood setup, apparently).

Today, Jacky93sims lol. ATS for longevity. Adele for details. HS for the infinitely useful Arizona sofa lol

How long have you had Simblr?

Probably… 2018-2019? I think I got the idea for Meraki around the time of my honeymoon and that's when I came up with the name 'anachronisims,' and my prior tumblr was just a general purpose thought repository.

What’s your favourite sims death? I don’t really have a favorite but if we are going to be morbidly humorous then electrocution or laughing. Majority of my sims die from old age which is on occasion forced by me due to wanting to speed up to the next generation or reducing my games sim count.

Alpha CC or Maxis Match? The only cc I use is a default skin, lips, eyes and cheek blush. I used to use eyelashes but then they stopped working with one of the recent patches and I was like, meh, no biggy and then I never bothered to figure out why and just accepted my very vanilla sims. 💗 To be honest I cannot be bothered with all that stuff with TS4. I went banana’s on it with TS3 so I guess I’ve had my day with cc.

Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? No. I’ll get them to workout for a bit but I don’t obsess over it.

Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? Some of my favorite sims were probably from my TS3 sims story that I wrote on Blogger years ago. I gave them very detailed and individual personalities and I got quite attached to them. I tried recreating them in TS4 but they just never felt quite the same. 

Have you made a simself? Yes and it was a very false representation of myself so I never did again. 😆

What sim traits do you give yourself? Perfectionist, which is inaccurate - I’m not looking for perfectionism, just for things to be organised. Active and I think the other one was Loves Outdoors but then I changed it to Loner.

Which is your favorite EA hair color? Probably brown because in RL I’ve always loved brown hair.

Favorite EA hair? I like a lot of the Updo hairstyles.

Favorite life stage? Infants and elders. What more can I say about infants but I am obsessed with them at them moment. Their cuteness out weighs their neediness. Elders I have always loved, even back in TS3 days. They are cute and funny and quirky, and I find their grumpiness amusing.

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? I enjoy both and when I get bored of one I switch to the other. Building for me comes in waves. Sometimes I get this huge burst of inspiration and other times I have nothing. Gameplay is a bit easier I feel that I don’t need to be too inspired as there are always things to check off with inspirations, or life milestones for a sim and keep me inspired to keep playing. I’m a check off the list kind of person.

Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad? I think of the fellow simmers I interact on here with as my online friends/mutuals. 💗

What’s your favorite game? I’ve loved all of them and appreciate each version of the game for what was/is at the time it was released.

How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing? I don’t think I really have a so called sim style. In terms of playing the game I think as the different game versions came out I adapted and changed with them. Sims 1 & 2 I just played randomly and played around with building. Sims 3 I began a story which I then wrote for 10 years on blogger. I also really got into building but didn’t really consider myself a good enough builder. Sims 4 I struggled with at first because it was such a big change from Sims 3 but I feel pretty comfortable with where I am in my gameplay and how I post about my gameplay now.

How long have you had a simblr? Since December 2011. 

How do you edit your pictures? In Photoshop. I use an action from another simmer but for the life of me I cannot find who or where I got it from. It’s called Gohliad Subtle and it resizes, adjusts levels, brightens etc. 

What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next? None. To be honest, my game is so full of packs and kits (not all kits) that I’m quite content with what I have already. I think I might be done in downloading & paying for extra stuff from EA. Though if we get a horses pack, as per the rumors, then I’ll probably eat my own words and buy it. But not for the horses 👎, for the new world! 😀

What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far? There are two, Seasons and Growing together. Both of these have been a massive gamechanger for me. I love seasons in my game and the infants, well they have my heart!

my name is fae (she/her) and i just wanted to make a lil post to introduce myself to the community and hopefully make some friends that also love playing the sims ♡

i just turned 24, i'm from australia, and i work full time as an embroiderer. i've been playing ts4 since 2016, back when my brother built his first computer and we would take turns playing.

i also used to be on tumblr back in the day, but i deleted all other socials except for yt 2 yrs ago and i've been missing tumblr tbh... i know the site isn't what it used to be but regardless of that i'm very happy to be here ♡

i've recently been wanting to share my sims and their stories with everyone bc i just love them so much and i kind of want to keep a digital diary of them bc i dont want to forget them :')

so i'm going to be uploading gameplay from my lucid legacy challenge by @luciidsimmer lp. i've never really played through an entire legacy challenge (despite playing the game since like 2016 oops) so i'm excited to share that journey !!
