re: my thoughts on laios’s sexuality (long post ahead lol)

let me start this post with this. first, this contains a lot of references to the new adventurer’s bible world guide book released last february. i can read japanese, but i’m sure they’re translated somewhere. general spoiler warning in case. also… i am ESL, so sorry for any grammar errors

second, if you’re on the team that insists laios doesn’t care about humans enough to form relationships, either read the manga again or at the very least read this thread.

last, please don’t chime in with your acearo headcanons on this post. there’s already a majority of posts here that insist laios is acearo and that anything else is impossible. i don’t like it the same way i don’t like when someone declares they hc marcille as bisexual to a poster who reads her as lesbian. i already have enough people here who declare he’s ace on my own art. at least people on twitter of all places don’t do this sort of thing to me. nothing in this manga is canon, you can headcanon anything i won’t get mad if you hc him as bi or something. just. don’t be weird on my post.

okay. trust me, i love women, and i love the idea of making my favs women lovers but the idea of laios being gay really appeals to me because of his background. this isn’t fueled by yaoi since i don’t even ship the only m/m relationship i bring up here, i just think it adds a nice layer to his disconnect with his own humanity

i do think laios has a very abstract relationship with his sexuality for a multitude of reasons. he grew up in a very conservative backwater village. he has a hard time recognizing his own feelings towards others just as much as vice versa. i don’t really care for the “laios is a monsterfucker” agenda people are pushing but i do think he’d engage in sexual thoughts in his own weird way, i won’t deny his deviantart fetish shit

as an autistic person myself, i relate to how he’d prioritize his special interest over social interactions. after all, he was fixated on monster food so he’s distracted from dark thoughts. he’s not an actual glutton

he’s shy around women, but i don’t think it’s out of attraction. i just think it’s because he’s awkward and doesn’t want to be seen as a threat. there’s a couple of times when, out of armor, he deliberately tries to make himself look smaller and nonthreatening.

he didn’t show any interest towards ashivia (the hubby hunter girl marcille replaced) and just humored her because she wouldn’t leave him alone. his other party members thought he was giving her special treatment so he had to tell her he “doesnt want to give her special treatment anymore”(even though he never did), so she left

ashivia did her best to butter herself up to laios and he didn’t care, but laios thought shuro was his bestest friend in the whole world because he was too much of a pushover to reject him. ironically… what ashivia did to him parallels what he was doing to shuro

also… yeah sorry i keep bringing up that one comic of laios saying if he were falin he’d marry shuro and then begging him to take him back to his country, or that comic of laios wondering why he doesn’t like him(and then the first two questions he asks the magic mirror was what if he or shuro were women). i don’t even ship them! but it’s not a reach to assume that he likes men because of this, even if it’s kinda played like a joke(after all,a lot of people like chilshi even though their ‘shippy’ interaction was played as a joke)

of course, given the setting, i don’t think knows he’s gay, he wouldn’t have the vocabulary to label himself. i do want to dance around with the idea of him forcibly confronting his own sexuality after years of yaad pressuring him to produce heirs lol. laios might not be cishet but he’s a king so he rdgaf about that right now. i’m open to him having female consorts for political reasons, but i don’t think he’s into women, is all.

before anyone brings up his succubus… god forbid an author makes hetbait. a part of the plot twist was that not-marcille wasn’t the only succubus enticing laios, his other party members were copied too. she was the only one who approached him. also… succubi aren’t always inherently romantic. once it realized marcille didn’t work, it switched to appeal to his desire to be a monster.

Okay but have you ever sat down to contemplate the possibility of Orm ever thinking—no matter how fleeting the thought—that he was partly to blame for Atlanna’s unhappiness?

I have reasons for this. Hear me out. I’m going to focus on comics!Orm here.

This is a man who grew up witnessing horrifying fights between his parents. He had to watch his mother, who was most likely the only person to ever show him any sort of affection, get beaten by the extremely abusive man she was forced to marry (and then get beaten himself in turn). He grew up with the knowledge that he had a brother, whom he idolized and loved deeply, on the surface world, and you can’t convince me it took long for him to realize his mother had been forced to leave her surface family in order to fulfill her duty to her kingdom—to marry a cruel man she didn’t love in order to have Orm, the heir Atlantis needed.

And it doesn’t matter if Atlanna never did anything that even remotely implied she felt any sort of negative emotion towards him. Pretty sure it was the opposite: if anything, I’d say she doted on him quite a bit. Because even if she wasn’t always the best of mothers in the comics, I have no doubt she loved her son. In fact, nobody can tell me Orm wasn’t a complete mama’s boy as a child. But look me in the eyes and tell me that teenage Orm, left to be a king with no living family left in the entire ocean, never had even the vaguest feelings of shame and guilt at the sudden reminiscence of his mother, badly hurt after a rough encounter with Orvax, glancing at him and forcing a smile with her face bruised and the most exhausted look in her eyes. Tell me that, despite the memory of his mother’s warm embrace and her gentle whispers of how much she loved him and how special he was to her, there wasn’t a small voice in the back of his mind suggesting that every time Atlanna looked at him, she was forced to recall all the times she ever suffered at the hands of Orvax—that she was forced to see Orvax every single time her eyes fell upon him.

Tell me he didn’t grow to believe, and accept as pure fact, that in his mother’s heart he was always second-best. He was his mother’s biggest treasure, sure, but deep down he was convinced that Arthur had claimed ownership over the biggest part of her heart. I’m sure Atlanna would have told him, entirely honest, the complete opposite time and time again every time she mentioned his brother, but it’s also not hard to picture Orm having trouble accepting her words after hours spent ruminating. In his logical mind, it was simple enough: Arthur was the child her heart wanted, born out of love in a union of sweet passion with the love of her life, while Orm was the child her body was forced to have, out of duty and obligation to Atlantis, in a deeply unhappy marriage she’d had no choice in.

And I’m not saying it troubled him. Not always, at least. I’m sure it was difficult to come to terms with it at first; he was probably deeply hurt the first time his brain created the idea during his adolescence. However, with time Orm would have gone from viewing things emotionally to analyzing everything rationally. It is the only way for an Atlantean king to withstand the pressures of the crown without going mad, after all. As a teenager, the idea that he had a role in ruining his mother’s life was an insecurity. As a fully grown adult, it was merely one of the many ugly realities of life. His mother’s torment had begun with the monster she married, and it culminated with the child that finished tying her to Atlantis. And Orm had no choice but to learn how to adapt, to ignore the ache in his chest every time the thought popped up, because otherwise it would have broken him.

And in the end, it all played perfectly into his father’s plans: he wanted to raise a king who would not be affected by something as ridiculous as emotions, and finally he was successful.

This is Dawn!

And she is the One Piece.

You would think the One Piece would be a large sum of berries or gold, but no. It’s a little girl with a fish tail.

She’s been waiting for the next king for about 25 years, until finally he gets to Laughtale.

Luffy and the gang arrive to find a small, blue haired, fish tailed girl. She introduces herself.

“Hi!! Hi!!!! Are you the king?? I’ve been waiting for you! It’s been a long time, longer than I’ve had to wait so far- oh! My name is dawn!”

Everyone is confused (Luffy is very curious). Who is this girl?

“Oh right!! Roger said that people don’t know my name anymore. He said to introduce myself as One Piece?”

Luffy laughs and picks her up.

And off they set, determined to shape the world to fit their ideals.

So here’s my One Piece au!!!

I have dubbed it Dawn Piece! (#Dawn Piece au)

TLDR; One Piece is a girl named Dawn who is a deity from a long long time ago. She is the daughter of the sea and she made devil fruits but sorta fucked it up and people got mad at her, time skip, she’s the devil who made the fruits.

She gets a piece of clothing giving her a hint as to who the next king is, she gets a cardigan for Luffy.

Dawn Island was named after a long forgotten deity.

She helps the kings in their ideals for the world. (She wants to make the world free for Luffy) (she wants to do these things, it isn’t like a genie situation)

So the One Piece is this little girl named Dawn.

Dawn Island was named after a long forgotten god.

The One Piece is sort of like a wish maker, her ideals align with the ideals of her “king,” and she has been “passed down” for generations upon generations to shape the world anew.

Luffy’s ideal would be freedom, so Dawn will help with that. She will help with the creation of a new, free world.

A little background on Dawn herself.

I designed her to look like devil fruits because, well, she’s the devil.

Or so people have called her.

She’s really the daughter of the sea, and as her first creation, she attempted to give people some power in the form of a fruit.

It wasn’t much, it would give them some form of special ability and that was that. But she messed up, and now the people that eat will drown.

So, in a game of scuffed telephone, the truth was distorted from a young deity wanting to help to the snake creating an apple.

She was guilty for this, so she gave herself to helping them in their own ideals. She would choose the next king and become sort of an assistant. Over time, she discovered that this was of her own free will, she WANTED to help these kings.

Well, she didn’t really choose them, per se. They would, in a way, choose her. Destiny kind of.

They would be deemed worthy, by some unknown power, and eventually find their way to her. Dawn would know who was and wasn’t the new king, and she would use her power to steer them away from her. Subliminally of course, like a storm that was too harsh, or a feeling that they just didn’t want to go that way anymore.

She would have a new piece of clothing that would give her a hint as to who the next would be. In Roger’s case, it was a captain’s coat. In Luffy’s case, she got an orange cardigan.

She can change her appearance to stay hidden from other people, which is an explanation as to why Roger’s crew didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.

But to Luffy’s crew, she is who she is.

Anyway, that’s my Dawn Piece au!!!! I hope you like it!!! I might make some cute comics about their escapades in the future :3

This is such a sweet question I would love to!

These are in no particular order because my level of passion for them changes depending on my current hyperfixation, and I’m limiting myself to one character per media but giving honorable mentions because I tend to love two or three characters almost equally

1. Monkey D. Luffy!!! (Honorable mention: Zoro and Sanji)

One Piece holds a special place in my heart. I watched it on 4kids when I was growing up and it was the first anime I watched as a teenager. Luffy is so so so important to me as a character. I got myself through the worst parts of teendom by imagining that if he was real Luffy would love me. He’s such a warm, loving, and joyous character. He’s Joyboy!!! He came into the world without a family and so he made his own and that’s so special, the message that no one in this world is born to be alone and somewhere out there someone or ones will love you and fight for you. And on top of all this he’s an aroace king!!!

2. Mogami Kyoko -Skip Beat!

Kyoko was my Girl Crush™️ in high school. I remember telling my best friend “yeah if I was gay I’d date Kyoko” LMAO. Beyond that there’s just something so special to me about reading this manga over and over, watching this girl—who only knew how to live to make her existence as palatable to other people as possible—grow into herself and find her own passions and loves as she heals from the abuses she’s dealt with her whole life. (Just looking up images of her made me want to reread the whole manga)

3. Peter Parker (Honorable mention: Harry Osborn)

Spider-Man is an OG, a forever love. No matter how many years go by I’ll always circle back around to Spider-Man. I love him and his pain and his Anger Issues™️ and his iron-clad morality. The people’s hero, the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. He’s also responsible for coding my brain to always gravitate towards the comic relief characters. I love a jokester who quips through dangerous situations.

4. Yosuke Hanamura - Persona 4

So I always joke that a majority of my favorite characters fall into one of two categories. 1. Hides their insecurities behind jokes/false bravado, and 2. Internalized homophobia/in love with best friend. And the characters I go FERAL for have both. Yosuke Hanamura is one of the both. I love a comic relief character!!! I love a man that’s hopelessly in love with his best friend but won’t admit it because he’s terrified of the implications!!! When I played this game for the first time, like most people, I was SO MAD THAT I COULDN’T DATE YOSUKE. 90% of the time when I play I don’t end up dating anyone because I refuse to deny the protag his one true love lmao. Yosuke and Yu also have the bonus of being my first ever gay ship. Their love is so powerful it pierced through my own internalized homophobia lol!!

5. Din Djarin -The Mandalorian (Honorable mention: Luke Skywalker)

I’m out here projecting so much onto this man!!!! He’s autistic, he’s asexual, he’s Traumatized. My other category of favorite characters is “Stoic Dad who learns to love again through a pseudo child figure” so he’s right up that alley. The man responsible for finally getting me into Star Wars after 27 years of having absolutely no interest.

6. Virgil Hawkins!! - Static Shock (Honorable mention: Richie Foley)

The way I waited with baited breath for every Static Shock episode as a child. It’s still one of my favorite shows, I own all 4 seasons on DvD and cherish them. I love Virgil so much!! He taught me about diversity! He’s such a lovable character and it makes the show an absolute delight to watch no matter how dated some parts of it get. The show does such a wonderful job balancing Virgil’s super heroics as Static with the heroics of every day life and it’s so endearing.

7. Oliver -Space Boy (Honorable mention: Amy)

Oliver is definitely the most niche character on this list (which is a crying shame please PLEASE read Space Boy on Webtoon it will chemically change your brain.) I’m just so attached to him. I feel so much for him and his story. If I could give him the biggest hug I would in an instant. “Take away his humanity and you can ignore his pain. Define him as a tool and you can justify using him.”

9. Rex Salazar - Generator Rex

Oh maaaaaan I love this asshole teenager!! I’m soooo obsessed with characters who get dehumanized for the sake of using their abilities like a tool and not a person. Re: the above Space Boy quote. The aesthetic of this show is so cool! (Also hello character who hides their insecurity behind false bravado.)

8. Aang - Avatar the Last Airbender (Honorable mention: Zuko)

Oh Aang… My sweet boy… my beloved… He imparted so much wisdom to me growing up… and also taught me it’s okay to have fun. I’ll always love him so much. There’s so much to rant about Avatar but it would take three hours.

10. Yugi Mutou - Yu-Gi-Oh! (Honorable mention: Atem)

I related to Yugi SO MUCH as a kid. He’s just a little weirdo who loves games and craves friendship more than anything. Honestly Yugi might have been the character I most strongly related to when I was young. I remember feeling swells of happiness when people would say nice things about Yugi as a character because it felt like they were saying nice things about me too.

Me and my partners watched the first three episodes of classic tokusatsu series Ultra Q, and I figured I can't sleep so I'm posting my thoughts, the equivalent of screaming into the void since my blog here has nobody who reads it.

If you don't know, Ultra Q is a Japanese show made by Tsuburaya Productions and aired in 1966, and was one of the earliest examples of Toho style kaiju on the small screen. It began the Ultraman franchise, but there's no Ultraman here. Each episode focuses on a different kaiju, alien, or weird event, kind of like Twilight Zone or Outer Limits. It's also notable for using old suits from Toho kaiju films since Tsuburaya was able to get them from Toho. The main protagonists are two pilots and a reporter lady, who always investigate the strange events, and they're okay protags, they don't get much depth but the show isn't really about them, more the monsters and paranormal stuff that happens. Speaking of, let's talk about the episodes we watched and my thoughts. I'm not giving the episodes any score, I'm just gonna ramble.

Episode 1 - "Defeat Gomess!"

'Run! It's Godzilla!' 'It looks like Godzilla, but due to copyright laws, it's not.' 'Still, we should run like it is Godzilla!' 'Though it isn't. AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!'

The first episode actually has two kaiju. Gomess, pictured above, a prehistoric creature made from pieces of old Godzilla suits, and Litra, a bird creature made from old Rodan props. Both of them are dug up by miners, and are mortal enemies. Litra is still an egg when its found, but Gomess is fully grown and causes a cave in while the main pilot and reporter are in the mine it was found in. The comic relief pilot and a kid who works at the mine find an ancient legend about how they're destined to fight, and the kid wakes Litra up with heat. The fight is short and not impressive by today's standards but it's not boring to look at. Litra jabs Gomess in the eye and shoots acid at him which kills him, but then Litra dies herself, because of the acid? I think? They don't explain why, they just end the episode, since these are the episodes are the usual TV length, about 20 minutes. Gomess is a decent kaiju design, Litra is a little more derpy looking, but it just adds to the charm for me. Overall, it's a solid start to the series. For the time, seeing movie level special effects was mind blowing, and while it's in black and white and not as impressive as modern effects or CG, it's very fun and charming now, especially since CG is so prevalent, seeing suits lumbering around is fun.

Episode 2 - "Goro and Goroh"

'Mmm... Monkey...'

This one is very simple, and I liked it quite a bit. A monkey near a research facility consumed a bunch of walnuts laced with a chemical that made him grow giant. He then befriended the facility's custodian Goro, a deaf and mute man who took food from nearby farms and stores to feed him. Also milk. Goroh the Monkey loves milk. When Goro gets arrested for stealing, Goroh gets mad and goes on a rampage, and they have Goro feed him milk laced with sleeping pills to make him fall asleep. The reporter had just got back from an island also with large monkeys as well, and they decide to take him there, and Goro is sad. Goroh the Monkey was brought to life with a modified King Kong suit, and I just like monkeys. Simple, nice, monke.

Episode 3 - "The Gift From Space"

'Now, I'm not saying it was aliens... but it was aliens.'

The last episode we watched, and the first alien kaiju, a giant slug named Namegon. The protags find a UFO, which turns out to be a Mars probe thought destroyed, containing two tiny gold marbles. They're kept in a vault, but stolen by bank robbers, who wants to sell it. When one of the bank robbers tries to force the comic relief pilot to take him to a meet up on an island, he drops the second gold marble in a fight. Comic relief pilot then finds it and makes it into a necklace for the reporter. The bank robber, having found a different way to the island, drops the gold marble into hot water, and the marble expands into an egg, revealing Namegon. Namegon itself looks fine, it's just a big slug that shoots lasers. It's weakness is a little lame, though. When the protags and the police go to the island, Namegon chases them, falls into the ocean, and melts because of the saltwater. The second egg, still around the reporters neck, accidentally gets woken up too at the end, after a discussion of why the aliens who sent the probe back sent monster eggs with them, and the episode ends as they prepare the saltwater. The episode also introduces an old professor who hangs out with the protags and exposits. Not a bad episode, the weakness of Namegon isn't too disappointing, and we never see the aliens who sent the probe back, so our brains can fill in the gap.

Ultra Q is pretty fun so far. We're trying to watch at least three episodes a week, and I got my partners to agree to watch the Ultra Series with me. Give it a watch yourself if you haven't, it's fun kaiju stuff.

I want you to know that your Blitzbee fic inspired me to write my own - I just gotta say…. HOW?? How did you get Blitzwing down so well? This man is confusing as all hell to write… Are you a wizard of some sort?

here's the thing about blitzy boo-- his canon characterization is fuckin weird and entirely made for comic relief, so most of how i write him is a completely fanon interpretation LMAO

but my main thing was to make sure that he really just feels like one dude-- i saw way too many fics before ROE that made him this weird DID caricature, and it was not only kinda uncomfy, but it was never how i pictured him. he's got SOMETHIN going on, obviously, but i genuinely dont think there's a human equivalent to it, which is why i made up the whole t-cog-processor-code discrepancy thing in kwz to sort of explain why he's That Way. fun fact: ROE was written for 10% passion, 90% spite bc i love blitzy so much and i was tired of him being written in a way that didnt feel right to me LMFAO

he's just a bot like any other, just with three different faces that swap around. nothing really all that special or vastly different from any other transformer. i gave him trauma bc im a bully (and he does have canon trauma from blackarachnia that unfortunately never made it to screen) and i just tried to make him feel... real, i guess? give him motivation and feelings. different speaking patterns depending on the face, as most of us have when we're in different moods-- when i'm mad, i stammer a lot, and when blitzy's mad, he yells and insults a lot. same vibe.

i also took some inspiration from his g1 characterization-- did you know blitzy actively betrayed galvatron in g1 and almost switched to the autobot's side? he fought alongside them and rodimus literally offered to let him join. then galvatron booted him from the decepticons bc blitzwing threatened him when galvatron tried to attack roddy. king shit. which contributed a lot to my interpretation of him as very Chaotic Neutral-- he has his own moral code, and though he is a follower by nature, he's only willing to follow those who align with his own morals.

(also, thank u very much-- i adore blitzy and writing him is so fun. it makes me so happy that people are inspired to write him like i do instead of as a hehehe mental illness joke)

now we can just like. ASSUME that they’ll add moana and make her a princess of heart. that’s like a 99.999999% chance. also she already had a medal and costume in ux so yeah that’s happening. that’s 5!

we still got mèrida as an official DP but i like. don’t think she fits the vibe?? i feel like she’d be more like ariel, in the lineup but not a princess of heart or w/e

Elena of Avalor – imagine them making a disney junior show canon

Raya (Raya and the Last Dragon) – she is literally the princess of a kingdom called Heart like come on

Eilonwy (The Black Cauldron) – disney refuses to acknowledge this movie’s existence but then they put it in kingdom hearts and make it relevant to the story

Ortensia – imagine they finally get oswald into the main story and it’s bc his wife has magic heart powers and heartless wont leave them alone

Anastasia – disney finally delivers the killing blow on the “anastasia is not disney” crowd. sorry guys we bought 20th century fox she’s ours now lol

Sofia the First – come on. tell me it wouldnt be funny. come on

Jessica Rabbit (Who Framed Roger Rabbit) – it would make so many people mad

Did you know today's also the 2nd anniversary of the conception of this AU? Back in 2021, I drew this -> [LINK] <- for Day 25 And then from there, it expanded into an entire AU where Purple goes mad and overthrows King

This comic's a special one because it introduces one of my favorite things, ARG elements specifically code breaking! I'm gonna start off with something really simple and then maybe do something more complicated in the future

Personal headcanons for 2012 tmnt turtles. Fluff 🌸

(T-CEST DNI!)

Raph

-secretly loves rom-com but will never tell a soul

-bonus: Mikey found out when he snuck into raphs room and saw him crying while watching the titanic, he never let him live it down

-has way to many protein shakes

-doesn’t like chocolate but LOVES sour candy

-he loves punk rock but occasionally lets his inner swifty out

-color blind because I said so and it somehow makes sense

-hyper active adhd

-Donnie had to explain pronouns to him. He understood pretty quick but didn’t think much of it. He probably wouldn’t care if someone used she/her on him but he prefers he/him

-he doesn’t like to verbally apologize but if he makes one of his brothers upset on accident he’ll leave a note in their room saying he was sorry and that if they told anyone he apologized they would face his rath

-gets really sad if an animal doesn’t like him but pretends he doesn’t care. (Def a dog person but likes cats)

-I also see him as Demi-romantic and bi. He can’t see a relationship happening if he doesn’t trust you or know you well enough, so I think it fits him(yes I know he fell really quickly for Mona but that doesn’t matter shh)

Donnie

-loves cucumber water

-fav movies are horror films

-he always points out the mistakes if the gore doesn’t look accurate

-I headcanon that when Donnie was younger one of his teeth was loose and Raph like tied a string to it and a door to get it out but it was the wrong tooth. Raph still feels bad about that(I got this idea from a fan made comic but I forgot which)

-He’s autistic you can’t prove to me she’s not

-he’s had a wide range of special intrests which is why they know a lot of random stuff.

-they already knew about pronouns and think any fit him, but it took her a while to realize her sexuality

-bi king

-he’s scared of dogs, def a cat person

-doesn’t like the texture of meat that much

-he often makes things for her brothers to show he cares for them. Time and gift giving is the way they show affection

-not used to physical touch but loves hugs, especially Mikey’s hugs. She finds it really sweet

Mikey

-they love pickles so much (probably tried it on pizza while his brothers just looked horrified in the distance)

-lactose intolerant but doesn’t care (his brothers suffer for it)

-forgets things constantly but always feels bad about it

-Raphs gotten into the habit of reminding him about stuff and Mikey really appreciates it

-even though he tries to be mature, he can pretty hot headed sometimes. He’s also stubborn so if you make him mad it will take a bit before he apologizes

-but even with that if he calms down and realizes he actually upset his brothers or friends, he’s gonna apologize. He doesn’t want to ruin a relationship just because he’s stubborn

-he has scars from fighting and sometimes feels a little self conscious about them, but Raph always tells him they look cool and it actually makes him like them more

i am being self indulgent i am doing this whole thing with just chucker. some chuckboose making a special appearance bc as you know all chucker is chuckboose in disguise. feel free to still send in numbers for other ships i am just Going Ham.

note that i’m mostly basing this off of our yet to be written church lives au so slight spoilers for that but like. not really. all you have to know is that it’s a post-13 au.

1. Who would end a heated argument by defending their actions with ‘because I love you!’ ?

honestly probably neither. they’d both say something similar but i neither of them are very big on the “i love yous”. ESPECIALLY not when they’re angry. they’re much more likely to lash out than be sappy in an argument

2. What would they do if the other woke in a manic state after a nightmare?

neither of them would really get manic? church is Dissociative King and tucker canonically has panic attacks so i think that’s how they’d react to nightmares. when he’s dissociating is like one of the only times he’s 100% open to and wanting affection so tucker would be like. giving him kisses and pats to ground him and calm him. meanwhile for tucker it’s like, church isn’t great at giving affection so it’s much more practical. giving him water and making him breakfast and throwing a weighted blanket on him. and obviously they both just. call caboose over for cuddles. caboose number 1 nightmare destroyer

3. Do they wear the other’s clothes? (sweatshirt, bandana, necklace, etc.)

i think tucker is more fashion conscious and is like. your clothes do not match my style. meanwhile church is just wearing whatever the fuck is in front of him. not to churboose but church is wearing caboose’s shit basically every day. big for him

4. Which one is more protective? Who needs to be ‘protected’?

they’re both so protective in the dumbest ways. it’s that one comic of the two people who keep jumping in front of the bullet for each other but even stupider and way less functional

5. Describe their cozy night in.

some of these i think i might have to talk about on my nsfw blog lol… (edit: okay it’s in the notes). for a sfw version. they watch bad movies and get drunk and yell at the screen and at each other and also caboose is there and they’re all in a giant cuddle puddle by the end of the night

LMAO DO CHURCH AND TUCKER HIDE THEIR FEELINGS??? Swamp Thing will be released on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on July 25 via MVD. The Blu-ray is part of MVD’s Rewind Collection, while the 4K UHD leads the company’s new 4K LaserVision Collection.

The 1982 superhero horror film is written and directed by master of horror Wes Craven, based on the DC Comics character created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson. Louis Jourdan and Adrienne Barbeau star with Ray Wise, David Hess, and Dick Durock as Swamp Thing.

Both editions include the PG-rated US version and the unrated international version of the film, newly restored in 16-bit 4K from the original camera negative. The 4K UHD is presented with Dolby VIsion/HDR and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono.

Each edition comes with a matching slipcover and mini poster. They’re pictured below, where you can also find a list of special features.

On the verge of a breakthrough in his quest to wipe out world hunger, altruistic botanist Dr. Alec Holland (Ray Wise) is placed under the protection of special government agent Alice Cable (Adrienne Barbeau). baby it's halloween (and we can be anything)

ronance | ronancetober challenge | day 7

day seven: sapphic senate (or: enjoy some headcanons because i had too many ideas and none of them concrete)

They have sleepovers every other Saturday. They’re always at Nancy or Vickie’s house, and never at Robin or Chrissy’s.

Chrissy stress bakes (it’s a common ED thing just trust me) and Vickie stress knits so sometimes Robin and Nancy come home to the most random things or get the strangest presents. They love them though

Chrissy and Nancy have a running joke with Eddie about them both dating him and Eddie being a massive playboy but it actually keeps them all from being outed and shit. Robin, vickie, and Steve tried to do the same thing with little luck (also vickie is like “Robin aren’t you mad Nancy is cheating on you” and Robin LAUGHS)

Chrissy and Vickie were never told about ronance. They just kind of figured it out.

Robin and Nancy weren’t exactly slick about it either, but they just hoped Chrissy and Vickie would think they were best friends until they literally kissed on the mouth in front of them and they went “well fuck”

They all came out to each other consecutively. Someone made a comment about how hot an actress was during a movie night, and then instead of freaking out they all went “you too?” or something.

In a roommate au, they have a bitchy calico cat named something soft like Lilly or Cloud that HATES Steve. Like the cat has to be locked in Chrissy’s room because he won’t go in there. It’s also incredibly stupid and ends up stuck in the weirdest places.

Alternatively, it was originally Chrissy’s cat that she stole–I mean adopted (think like Winston and Ferguson from New Girl) but then they all started caring for it and now they all love and care for the cat. When Robin and Nancy move into their own place, they get like three cats of their own.

Chrissy, Vickie, and Nancy LOVE to go shopping or get their nails/hair/“girly stuff” together. Robin tagged along a few times, but it was definitely not her thing and she just got overwhelmed and tired about an hour in and had to have Steve pick her up

Vickie is an artist in her free time and she draws comics for the paper sometimes. She mostly just likes to hang out in the newspaper office with Nancy and Robin because it’s quiet and Nancy keeps good snacks in there.

Chrissy and Nancy kissed once at a cool kid party during a game of spin the bottle and they only admitted that it impacted them in a gay way after they came out

Future careers: Nancy - journalist (duh), Robin - interpreter (or a film professor specializing in foreign films), Vickie - music teacher, Chrissy - dietician specializing in ED recovery with adolescents

Chrissy and vickie actually kind of hate Steve. They both accept that he’s robin's best friend and Nancy’s close friend too (and Eddie’s boyfriend) but they both have an early s3 Robin idea of him being king Steve the douchebag in their heads

Robin and Vickie went on like two dates towards the end of the school year before they both realized they’re really similar and they’re better off friends. They just laugh about it now.

Top modern Spotify artists: Nancy - Taylor Swift (top album is reputation, folklore, or evermore) or MARINA. Chrissy - Taylor Swift (top album is Lover or Speak Now). Robin - Julien Baker or Phoebe Bridgers (tbh I think she would love boygenius in general). Vickie - Hozier.

They go CRAZY for Halloween. Like, the best group costumes you can imagine. They had really intricate Wizard of Oz costumes one year, then they were characters from Grease (would have been the Pink Ladies but Robin wanted to wear a T-Birds jacket), Veronica and the Heathers once Heathers is released,the list is endless. They plan and prep for months. Chrissy and Robin are the biggest Halloween fanatics.

Nancy is the true horror slasher fan of the group. Robin likes them enough, and Chrissy and Vickie despise them. They usually watch comedies and "chick flicks" as a group, and then Robin and Nancy will watch all the horror movies as dates

Chrissy and Vickie pine after each other for SO LONG before Nancy and Robin separately sit them down and go "just TALK TO HER" and it STILL takes months.

anyway, that's all the headcanons i have rattling around in my head about these girls. day 8 is coming up around the same time, and goddamn do i love it.
