💖 Wally is many things when he's in love, and subtle is not one of them. when around the object of his affections, he turns into even more of a cartoon character than he already is: tripping over his own feet in your presence and gazing dreamily at you from afar. you can almost see the little hearts floating into existence and popping over his head!! however, he isn't going overboard with his affections to make you uncomfortable, no - the man is simply so full of love for you, he doesn't know where to put it. Wally in love becomes more day-dreamy than he already was, prone to trailing off in the middle of a sentence because he caught a glimpse of you from across the way, or actively abandoning an engrossing activity just to spend a little more time around you. should you choose to call Wally out for his behaviour, you'll have the pleasure of seeing a powerful blush colour his fuzzy cheeks 😉

💖 a sure-fire sign that Wally's got a crush is the uptick in his musicality. Wally is already a bit of a self-styled musician: little to no rhythm or tune to speak of, but a tendency to hum away an old song while he's busy with his art or his thoughts. when he's in love, Wally will move from simple humming to karaoke-worthy serenades - belting out traditional love songs in the shower and delivering impromptu concert performers when entertaining his friends. your neighbours are baffled, wondering how Wally could ever think to impress You with a voice like that, because - bless him - for all his other talents, the gift of song was not one given to him. yet Wally isn't trying to win you over with the power of his voice - his ego doesn't extend in that direction. Wally is just so inexorably happy to feel this way towards you, and he has to let the know world about that feeling!! 🥺

💖 Wally's flirtation methods are unorthodox, and they never fail to make you giggle. you may expect a man with perpetual bedroom eyes to be of the suave, alluring persuasion, but Wally's charm lies in his quirkiness. where one person would give you a bouquet of flowers, Wally is going to hand you a bushel of apples, instructing you with a wink to, "...not look at them all at once." instead of slipping his arm casually around your shoulders, Wally will engage you in challenging staring contests, only to wait for your guard to be down and boop you on the nose, giving him the win!! it's only when you and he are alone that Wally dares to be more forward...threading his fingers through yours and stroking your skin with his thumb. indeed, it's the sweet, simple nature of Wally's affection which clues everyone in to how he feels about you...he feels comfortable to be 100% himself, and what he is, is a huge dork 😭💖

I desperately need MORE background on how hound became the vicious beast (that I love just the way he is) and how Makarov tamed him!

It's kinda hard to come up with background when I literally made hound on the fly lol, I didn't plan to give him any backstory and that blurb about being betrayed by price just came at the last moment.

But here's my current ideas:

CW:SFW ish HUGE SPOILERS for Hound's backstory (not cannon yet but the major themes), angst, discussion of torture, conditioning, SA, and Hound just having a very bad time.

Hound already had behavioural/aggression problems when he joined the military (the reasons for which are left open for the reader to imagine). Price pissed off some top brass officer and got Hound dumped on him as punishment and because no one else wanted Hound. But Price figured out that all Hound needed was a firm hand from someone he could respect, and with Hound, respect was a hard thing to earn. But Price earned it and in turn got himself the most loyal Sargent he'd ever seen.

Now for the angsty Makarov bit.

Hound was loyal as hell to Price when he thought he would be saved. It took Makarov like a solid year just to make small dents in Hound's will. Since Hound didn't know Russian, he'd get annoyed at the commands Makarov used, leading to more beatings. This was around the time Makarov started using shock collars and really leaned into turning Hound into his dog.

The whole conditioning thing was similar to how cult indoctrination works, Makarov made himself look like the only 'safe' source of comfort Hound had. He especially liked making Hound fight in a pit, be it putting him against actual dogs, people trying to join Konni, or other Konni members, with the prize being that whichever soldier won would get to use Hound however they wanted. And while Hound may be big (hc Hound around Konig's hight/whatever the max height for being in the army is), being regularly beaten, starved and sleep deprived meant he lost more fights against the soldiers than he won.

This made it easy for Makarov to effectively 'save' Hound, rough orders making his soldiers stop, giving Hound soft touches and a low soothing voice to listen to while he lay on the floor covered in blood, gore, cum, and god knows what else, just trying to recover. And Hound's brain hated it, was disgusted by the touch, but his body craved any form of comfort it could get regardless who it came from.

The real conditioning began when after a year in captivity the files for Hound's mission were released, and had been rewritten to make him K.I.A. and a traitor. And they were official documents too (Makarov had eyes and ears everywhere, including the C.I.A). Makarov had been putting the idea that Price had betrayed Hound for a while, so those docs just confirmed it.

Hound became a lot more anger prone and aggressive after the betrayal, going back to his old ways before Price became his CO, something Makarov played into.

Violence became both a coping mechanism and a way to survive; the more violently he fought and killed in the fighting ring, the better the rewards he would get (more food, more rest, more of Makarov's affection to distract him from what was happening), the stronger he would get and the more his body would recover, the more violently he could fight. Leading to a type of cycle where physically getting healthier turned him more violent.

Makarov was very keen on training Hound, taking away the small comforts as quickly as he gave them if Hound stepped one foot out of line, steadily conditioning him to be eager for his touch, his praise, his affection, to want to pleasure him and silence the parts of Hound's brain that begged him to stop.

In six months or so, Hound was already kneeling at Makarov's feet, head tilted back so Makarov could cut his initials into Hound's throat, desperate to have a collar wrapped around his neck, to belong to someone who wouldn't betray him like Price did.

And in another six, Hound was utterly devoted to Makarov, carrying out any orders given with extreme precision and violence all in the hopes of just getting a scrap of his attention.

Or something like that. The thing I like about reboot Makarov is how charismatic and tactical he is in comparison to the unhinged Makarov from the old series. This one gives me like cult leader vibes, which is why I think he would have been able to condition hound into being his. Makarov values loyalty and saw how loyal hound was to Price, so sought to have the same.

"There's just something about that guy that means I don't trust him"

Okay so, Phil has got the wrong read of Sunny. I'm gonna start off with that. He thinks they're a confident unconcerned material girl who is comfortable in the fact that their dad loves them, and potentially he thinks that they're a bit older than they are? Whereas people who have been able to see her one-on-one with Tubbo know that she's quite a bit more shy and insecure and young than she puts on! He's been taken in by the facade they're putting on, and I think that's part of why he is making jokes and comments that don't hit well. To understate how yesterday went. I think he botched the interaction with Sunny in the musuem and I hope someone tells him that, so he can apologize and fix that. And to be clear, as a phil viewer, this does interesting character work with Sunny as a sensitive child and I'm in favour of Sunnymin pursuing this line of lore. I'm staring with my little cube guy watching googles looking for the result when Phil realizes he scared a child, with great interest.

Because when you look at the musum one in context, my read is that was phil pivoting badly from an out of lore discussion into "oh hey I can explain something to sunny, who is confident and centred and knows her dad adores her" and then jokingly tried to explain the tallulah experience, and then we know from Sunny signs later that that went over like a ton of bricks. Mistake. However, when we're discussing it, I think it's fair to not have that understanding of the lore though, and to take a more pointed, villainous read of the lore! Go for it with discussing phil as cold and brusque to people who aren't his family, discuss Sunny feeling all alone in the musuem, fill your boots.

But guys, when you're discussing this as meta, I am seeing a lot of tags that are really really eager to paint Phil entirely and unequivocally as a villain and specifically cruel to children and cruel within the family, and there's an element to that that concerns me.

Phil, the cc, the guy, acts working class. He has an accent from a particular part of england that is traditionally working class, but he also has storytelling cadences and humour styles and attitudes towards challenges that are very familiar if you are from a working class or lower income community. I'm from an entirely different continuent, but the area I'm from is the sort of area that people make jokes about, and the whole way Phil acts as a CC is very familiar to me. (Note: even when he's talking about travel or stuff, he still has the "worked retail for a decade" mentality and pays attention to the staff and stuff and what they're doing, check out the brazil storytelling vod.)

And Phil's cubito, when he's not deliberately making a character like osmp crowfather, tends to have the mannerisms of someone who is working class. Even if you're not from a lower income area, I think most people can clock this, subconciously if nothing else. He swears a lot! He banters and roasts his friends and family but would absolutely do anything for them. He's informal in a very specific way.

Which is why when people pivot immediately into "why is he threatening and bullying children again" and "his wicked is showing", and "oh he's a evil stepfather/cruel stepmother" and "can we kill the child abusers now" I go Oh No.

Working class mannerisms are already stereotyped as especially prone to domestic abuse, among other ills. If you are going "oh something about him just always seemed like he would be cruel to children" maybe— push back on that one?

In the same way that during the election I was going "that may not be the play" about americans who didn't know what it was but something about Forever was just so angry and agressive (and they were talking from a perspective that viewed forever as a person of colour, regardless of how he's perceived at home), you might be talking from a perspective that encourages you to interpret Phil's behaviour with children as especially suspect. Potentially. Consider it.

And again, Phil biffed it in the musuem. That was a misstep that had me (autistic) going "oh no I see how you got there but you can all but see the sims negative relationship marker thing pop up". But I'd ask you at least to consider that it wasn't intentional cruelty, and that people can make social missteps before you jump immediately to interpreting their actions in the worst light possible.

I know all the puppets' personalities are essentially the same, but they clearly don't act like children's characters anymore (like wallys fuck you to fionn in that one ask;I know it was a joke but still)

When wally watches old wh reruns, or when any of the others see any, I feel like they'd get reeeallly embarrassed. And like, identity-crisissy seeing how they were before they gained sentience

Sally (on tv): I just LOVE watching MOVIES with my FRIENDS!!! What's YOUR favorite movie???

Abgbgfnghf I mean you're not wrong - they keep their original personalities but as the days go on they realise they've actually changed a lot from who they were before they gained sentience...

Wally, still the friendliest neighbour you could meet and still a lover of the arts, but everything he went through changed him from a once calm and silly puppet to a tired, traumatised puppet who feels responsible for their predicament, and suffers from the betrayal of his own Home.

Barnaby still loves to tell jokes and act the sly, silly scallywag he is, but inside is an unshakeable paranoia, that he might lose his neighbours and best friend for real this time, and he doesn't want that to happen. He's already lost his mama technically, and that's bad enough!

Still joyful and playful, Julie feels skittish and restricted however, in a world that sees adults as those who have to be serious, hard money making machines, where fun is looked down upon. On top of that she has technically lost her siblings.

Frank remains knowledgable and stoic, his love for butterflies never dying, but inside he hates the sudden change. He didn't want to leave Home, he didn't want it to go; thus he is prone to meltdowns every now and then.

Eddie's heart is still of gold, still clumsy as can be yet forever well meaning, but after seeing Home's carnage, he feels kind of lost. His dear post office was ripped away from him, and his dearest Frank was nearly taken too, so he will never let Frank out of his sight, no matter how overbearing he seems.

Friendly clerk Howdy remains the fast talking, smiley caterpillar he always was, and even gets a chance to let loose in the human world, but like Eddie, he so dearly misses his little bodega, even if it nearly hurt him. He now feels responsible for Frank and Eddie's behaviour, trying to keep them in check, and oh how can dealing with Fionn grind his sanity.

Once a performer, always a performer: Sally always likes to make little plays to keep everyone happy, and will make all the foolproof plans in the world to keep them safe from any dangerous humans. However even the most skilled actress can tucker herself out with people pleasing through acting, and like Howdy, arguing with Fionn puts a toll on you.

Poppy is definitely the most careful neighbour, always looking out for her friends and being there for them always. But after travelling to a whole new world, wouldn't your nerves and worries increase tenfold? Hers certainly did, bumbling and whimpering at anything bad that might happen, feeling like a burden due to her cautious nature.

Watching their old shows brings back a sad mix of hopelessness, longing and nostalgia - they may not be able to go back, it seems, but at least they can still experience their old lives one way or another, even with the occasional embarrassment at their quirks in episodes!

I feel like since I've already done 2, I'll do some more. Even if it doesn't represent a reader with adhd perfectly, I like how they've been turning out.

Fyodor

• If he was a bit more considerate. If he was a BIT nicer. He'd probably be the best person for you to be around in like... the whole world.

• But he isn't, so he's not.

• Doesn't mean he doesn't love you and doesn't mean your going to be made to feel uncomfortable.

• Or... you will at first, until you realise that how he's acting is just typical Fyodor behaviour.

• I personally believe fyodor could and would talk a LOT. If there's a topic he's interested in, or thinks your interested in he'll talk about it until there is nothing else he can say. Doesn't care if you stop listening halfway through.

• He's having his monologue, thank you.

• Don't worry though, if your prone to doing that sort of thing too, he will listen to you talk also. It's only fair.

• He'll listen until you say something wrong. Like, get a fact wrong or if something you say doesn't quite make sense.

• He'll correct you. He means no harm (no real harm anyway), he just finds your embarrassment kinda cute, but he also thinks you should be informed, so you don't get embarrassed infront of other people.

• He doesn't like constant fidgeting. It IS annoying to him. But it's you, and given that he enjoys your company enough, he'll tolerate it. Won't even mention it.

• He likes to play cello for you, and it's so beautiful and enchanting sometimes that you'll sit infront of him watching and listening for hours.

• Even if you don't like that kind of music typically, there's just something about him playing for you that commands your attention.

• He won't keep you too long though.

• All in all? It's a good relationship. He MIGHT be controlling, and MAY be inconsiderate (at times) but he actually cares.

Nikolai

• You have an abundance of energy? So does he!

• Your easily distracted? So is he!

• He's not you, but, I feel like you match eachothers energy.

• Nikolai doesn't like it when you zone out. You aren't responding to him, which makes talking a little weird, but he talks anyway, about anything and everything. May even slip a few major secrets in here and there. He's not worried though, he knows you aren't listening.

• Nikolai likes to take you out, go to different places.

• Like an amusement Park.

• There's lots to do, plenty to see, assuming you don't have a crippling fear of rollercoasters.

• Neither of you are going to get bored.

• There are no breaks. Aside from one to go and get food - you'll have to insist on that though.

• He also takes you up to the Sky Casino.

• You two cause a lot of trouble for sigma.

• See, the guy doesn't recognise you, nikolai didn't exactly tell the others about your relationship status.

• So, you can get in the casino, with a little bit of money. Meaning, you can cause havoc.

• You have done it a few times. Riled up a few of the customers, caused a scene. Using the words nikolai has been feeding to you.

• You might end up on a ban list.

• But it's all in good fun!

Sigma

• So, Sigma is like... he's going to be there for you, always. Its one of his life goals.

• Priority = casino + you

• You spend most your time in the casino because of your relation to him, the manager.

• Also means he can keep a better eye on you.

• He knows you so well. He's not the best at the whole relationship thing, and he has a casino to manage. But he tries his hardest, and likes to be well informed.

• Because of him, you never get into any trouble.

• Like, you might say something a little uncouth or rude, but there's always someone there to stop others from lashing out at you.

• There's also always someone around for when you trip over something you did not see, or bump into someone you didn't realise.

• It's not always Sigma, but he tries to be there when he can be. He is a busy man afterall.

• But, you do spend a fair amount of time together.

• If you like crafts, and have many different projects on the go all at the same time. He's always happy to listen to what you have to say about it.

• He'll enthusiastically praise whatever it is you've done during these small projects.

• He even funds it sometimes. If it'll keep you happy and out of danger (some customers can be rather unkind), he'll get you all that's necessary, even if you don't finish it.

• You two also have 'calm time'

• That's what he calls it anyway.

• It's where you two sit down or lie down together, cuddling, and he listens to you talk about your day.

• Even if you go off track a bit, he likes listening to what you have to say, even better if you have no filter, because you hold nothing back and it's just so interesting!

• Plus your voice is nice.

• If you ask, he WILL tell you about his day, but it may take some coaxing. He doesn't want to bore you.

• Assure him it's not boring. Even if it's a lie.

Dottore x GN! reader: Medical ordeals

A/N: Hello! it's been a hot minute since my last post apologies for that, I've been quite held up with all my courses but I have some time off now so hopefully I'll be writing up all the idea I have saved up but for now I do hope you enjoy this fan fiction . This one is in fact based around an experience I've actually been through .

cw: description of a bad medical experience , mentions of blood.

You and Dottore had only become an item a short while ago , although feelings had blossomed much further back it had only become an official thing as of late.

Dottore being a man of science and arguably medicine (albeit the medicine and ‘cures’ he provides are not orthodox to what a morally sound doctor would prescribe) over the time that he has known you he has done his best to collect medical records of yours so that he was aware what either ails you or what you would be prone too. However, try as he might he could never manage to find or secure your dental records and so he had to turn to his last option, asking you himself. Of course, he had asked you to bring anything concerning the matter to him under the premises that he needed more data for a statistic table that he was drawing up , although this was not the case.

You enter his lab the lights just as blindingly bright as always as you walk further into the sterile environment making sure to not touch anything as you wouldn't want to compromise your boyfriends work because of something so trivial. Tightly clutching you proceeded further into the laboratory. As you make your way to the back which is where your lover is most likely is, you notice a few of his clones working some of them were already acquainted with you and in your presence sent you a small wave before continuing their assigned tasks. However, some of the others who were still in the process of warming up to you snarled at you some even hissing , quote the amusing sight yet still very threatening. Doing your best to pay this unusual behaviour no mind , you quicken your pace once his desk come into view with his back facing you. Cautious to not startle the man you walk around the desk so that he is able to see your figure and alert him that you have arrived. Gently setting down the papers you give him a gentle smile. He brings his head up from the paper filled with many equations and diagrams scrawled on with seeming quick haste , he brings his face to look at yours. Somehow he claims he can see perfectly even with his mask on that looks like it covers his eyes , you struggle to comprehend just how he has managed to do this but knowing his genius this was entirely probable. Beneath his mask you watch his features soften and a sharp toothed smile take over the previous frown that was etched onto his face. Yet before you could point anything out or begin to say anything he quickly picks up the papers you had brought him flicking though them reading them at an incredible pace , although this may have been an adaptation in order for him to reduce time wasted on reading so that he can progress even faster with his projects none the less it was still immensely impressive.

You decide to sit down on one of the few chairs by his desk and wait patiently until he finishes. A loud slamming of papers sounds thought the lab , Dottore has quickly set down the papers you had brought to him , the abruptness of the sudden sound making you jump slightly. You tilt your head slightly as you gently ask your lover ‘ Is everything okay ?’ you watch his features change from annoyance to a much softer expression at the mere sound of your voice. After a few moments of silence, he offers you a reply ‘ There seems to be some missing parts to your documents , do you happen to know what happened ?’ at the mention of this your expression changes ,your mouth in resemblances of an ‘o’ as you realise what he was talking about ‘Ah, that….’ you hesitate. Dottore leans in closer so that his face is closer to your own and places his hand on top of yours as if to provide some comfort and as a way of reassurance that what ever you say to him will be safe. With this gesture from him you feel much more comfortable in explaining everything to him.

You take a small breath before conveying what happened in that one undocumented appointment:

You were young and were taken to the dentists in order to get a check up however this ended up with the need of tooth extraction… Unfortunately for you this was not going to be a straight forward as they promised it would be. You were sat in that chair a clear liquid being put onto your gums they were meant to stop any pain form affecting you , yet it wasn't taking effect. Despite knowing this they did not look to find a solution to this and proceeded with the extraction. Metal tools clamping down on your tooth steadying themselves in order to rip it out. Within moments the tooth is pulled out with immense force you could hear your own screams echo through the halls as your mouth began to pool with blood. The throbbing pain echoed thought your mouth and face with tears spilling over and running down your cheeks. This was a moment in your youth you would never forget. The emotionless faces that inflicted such pain on you the lights shining into your face and eyes , the throbbing pain. Everything was etched into your mind. Yet despite this entire ordeal the clinic that you had went to wanted to keep their pristine record of always satisfied patients and so they wiped this appointment and the results clean from any records that would exist. Of course, they are not able to erase someone's memory.

As you finish relating this story to him you noticed how his hand now gripped yours , tight but not tight enough to cause you any harm his face now contorted into a scowl. This was not what he was expecting to hear not in the slightest , although he has witnessed much worse when he conducts his experiments but when it came to you it was … different. You were worthy of being treated like the most precious jewels , so gracefully without bringing you any harm and yet some had the audacity to do such a sloppy job and dare to cover their tracks? Not on his watch. ‘Dottore? I hope this hasn't upset you dear’ You try to bring Dottore back from his thoughts yet as soon as you utter out those few words Dottore quickly proceeds to grab both of your hands with his own. ‘What a bunch of preposterous fools , treating you so poorly have no shame to act in such a way in the name of medicine?!?’ The hypocrisy from him was intense yet you were oblivious to his medical ‘ordeals’ and such his statement seemed comforting. He brings a gloved hand up to touch your cheek staring into your eyes through his mask ‘ My love in my hands you will only be treated with the upmost of care I can assure you with that!’ he vows to you. Being so infatuated with him all you can do it lean into his touch and hum in approval ‘I know my doctor will take good care of me’ you state before kissing his palm.

Digimon Adventure subtext analysis: The other family angle

Years ago, I had already tried to conduct an analysis on how Taichi, Hikari and Koushirou were set up in a way that displayed the importance of family within their bond [I, II, III]. The conclusion there was that, by closing his own family-related arc, Koushirou was capable of supporting Taichi and Hikari's (also indirectly family-related) struggles in the Dark Master's arc as well. In a very similar vain, it can be argued that Sora, Yamato and Takeru were set up similarly. The hypothesis here is that, by mirroring Sora's and Yamato's (and Takeru's) familial issues, they're capable of supporting each other in the final arc as well.

Let's see how these familial parallels and similarities play out:

While it can be argued that the majority of the characters keep their family-related trauma to themselves, in Sora's and Yamato's cases, it has the biggest effect on the group dynamic as a whole. Because while Taichi, for example, starts to get reckless in order NOT TO get reckless and protect everyone he loves, Sora's and Yamato's instinct is to pull away from everyone and everything to protect them, even if they may declare the opposite to be true. (Mind you, that is actually some kind of behaviour Taichi will adopt in Tri onwards as well, but that shall not be the point of this analysis.)

The most obvious parallel between them is that they have rather disruptive family lives. While Sora's parents aren't divorced, they're still not living together and her relationship to her mother is rather rocky, filled with misunderstandings based on expectations and different views on life. Yamato's and Takeru's parents are divorced and Yamato has a rather difficult time approaching his mother himself, telling her how he really feels about it all, etc. He tends to surround himself with an aura of coolness and aloofness, even though the viewer quickly learns that he is very emotional and is just trying to bottle it all up.

In the novels it is implied that Sora may have known that Yamato and Takeru were brothers from the very beginning - so her deflecting or not prying further into their lives at the start of the series, especially when Taichi and Koushirou are speculating about their relationship, makes sense. Because she understands that they need space.

And Yamato returns the favour later on, letting her cry it all out; when Sora is experiencing her outburst of emotions in her Crest episode, the viewer learns that she has been doing the same thing as Yamato: bottle it all up. In the same way, they are both prone to wanting to figure out how to deal with their "inner states" by themselves, they're both not particularly good at talking it all out - and so it shouldn't be surprising that they understand that aspect about the other and give each other time and space to breathe. It's not something everybody in the group understands, but it is a very distinctive parallel: Sora basically explains to them that she kept away from the group because she hadn't figured herself out yet. Thus, Sora explaining Takeru that Yamato needs time to do some soul-searching himself is a direct follow-up response here. She sensed Yamato's need to do this on his own and followed it up by the promise that Takeru would be safe in his absence.

Takeru is a good keyword at this point as well, because similarly to how Hikari was a focal point in the other analysis, he is the key factor that makes the family angle so apparent. Yamato may be the one to give Sora space - but Takeru is the one who tells Sora what she desperately needed to hear. He wants to keep the family together at all costs, he is fed up with separation scenes, so he doesn't want her to leave again, sees her as "family", wants her to know how valued and loved she is - and so, Sora is the one who reassures Takeru when Yamato is on the brink of leaving himself, believing that, eventually, everything will turn out fine. It may look like nothing more than repetitive behaviour at first - but it is a circle of learning and trust instead, to rekindle and have better family dynamics in the future.

It's due to their strained relationships with their parents, their masks, their coping mechanisms that Sora and Yamato think they don't have what it takes to activate or even deserve their respective Crests. Love and Friendship - they don't know what it means for them personally. It's why they're so prone to being engulfed by darkness, why their dark caves are dangerous manifestations of their declining mental health, self-doubt and fears.

That is why the soul-searching is needed, repeatedly so. It's why they understand each other's need to be left alone - which is something we will see throughout the entirety of the Adventure series for both of them. But it's also why they need Takeru's softness and Taichi's persistence (as well as Jyou's support and Mimi's reassurance at different times) to get it back together again. They have to be reminded that they don't HAVE TO be alone in all this (even if they often choose to).

They know, deep down inside, that self-pity and giving in is not an option. They do ask themselves why they got into this situation, why they were chosen in the first place - but they also learn, through their experiences (and their respective bonds with and urge to support Taichi) that they're the ones who have the choice. To fight or to stay away - it's going to be their choice, again and again.

In the novels, the sight of Sora and Takeru together, right after he broke out of his own cave of darkness, even reminds Yamato of his mother, indicating that the entire journey is helping him to come to terms with slowly wanting to reconcile with her.

In general, Sora's role in the Dark Master's arc is mirrored by Koushirou's - they're support systems for the Yagami siblings (and Taichi and Yamato in combat), but Sora in particular is also often put together with the younger siblings, protecting them (enforcing her motherly role) or actually fighting alongside them (in more equal matters). In addition, she is acting as a bridge between the Takaishida brothers, especially in the final arc in which she is the one who throws Yamato's keychain at Takeru, thus helping him to overcome his own insecurities as well and eventually activating his Crest of Hope himself.

Long story short; Sora had already been on her way of reconciliation with her own mother and, after everything she went through, was able to reassure Yamato that he could go on to find his own path as she did hers before, believing that he could do it too. In return, Yamato had been put - and eventually also put himself - in the position to pull Sora out of her own state of darkness as well. Because he had been there himself, he was finally able to put things into words. Because, at this point in time, they're both incredibly similar - and may have gained what it takes to make up with their mothers.

Rabbid biology

Follow up of the Rabbid biology post I made a while ago with some things i mssed.

Appearence

A rare fur mutation, most commonly seen in litters of rex/rex Rabbids where the offspring completely lacks fur. These Rabbids have a hard time staying warm and they will always wear as much clothing as possible to shield their skin from enviromental factors. Hairless Rabbids are more prone to get sick than furred Rabbids. Skin and ear infections are the most common health problems, to contrast them, they have to have frequent baths and use hydratant and antibacterial skin lotions. They also tend to be either underweight or overweight (due to being constantly sick or to overeat to fight the cold). Angora Rabbids or Rabbids that shed a lot will sometimes donate their fur to hairless ones to make clothes, wigs and blankets out of (thanks this anon for the idea!).

Biology

Rabbids have incredible healing factors, they can whitstand injuries that can kill other creatures their size. However, they are not less prone to illnesses and diseases. Sick Rabbids are treated differenly from every culture: some use natural remedies, some have advanced medicines and some even have to learn to live with untreated disabilities. Their ears are especially vulnerable to cuts and bruises, but they also heal really fast, so Rabbids with notches in the ears are pretty common. Scars are also common, and are quite visible as the fur on the area comes back thinner (like on their belly where the skin shows). Rabbids (especially very young and old ones) who get some kind of surgery or have an open wound treated, will have to wear a cone to avoid picking at the healing site.

When Rabbids get older, they mellow down and are far more calm and quiet. However, they will not stop from doing what they always loved to do despite the age, so it's possible to see an elderly Rabbid still enjoiyng running around and play with their friends. They do get tired quickly, though, so they need to rest a lot.

Rabbids build their nests in safe spaces when they're about to have kits: wild ones prefer to dig a separate room in their burrow for this, while civilized ones tend to build the nests in a quiet room (usually the bedroom). The nest is made out of soft materials (leaves, hay, blankets, pillows and shedded fur) and is circular in shape with a raised rim to keep the kits from wandering outside. The nest is prepared quite in advance and the parents keep adding and shifting things until the kits are born. No one other than the parents is allowed to enter the nest until the kits are already able to wander out by themselves. Rabbid kits are carried around by picking them up by the scruff. They have a lot of lax skin there, so it doesn't harm them, in fact they completely relax even when just pinched behind their necks. Rabbids carry this reflex even in adulthood with various degrees of sensitivity to it: some of them may not relax that much, but some of them can literally ragdoll to the ground. The parents rarely move the kits away from the nest when they're too young, but if needed they make bundles out of some nest materials to wrap the kits and carry them with to keep them warm and to keep them calm by having something close with a familiar smell.

Behaviour

Rabbids are very social creatures, as such they love to form colonies and live close to eachother. It's not uncommon for some Rabbid culture to have a single house/burrow for all the population to live in.

Wild Rabbids dig burrows to live in. They have different rooms and they decorate them with things they find suitable, for example a "kitchen" would have plates, pans and maybe even a stove regardless if the Rabbid owner even uses those things. The room they sleep in is usually the lowest one and is the only one with a door, to avoid noise from the outside as Rabbid dig their burrows very close to eachother.

Civilized Rabbids live in buildings and have a more complex social structure, with one or more Rabbids leading the others. Buildings vary depending on the environment where they are built and, unlike wild Rabbids' burrows, they have distinct rooms with functioning furniture.

Carrots are a staple food of Rabbid diets. They're eaten and prepared in all sorts of ways and every Rabbid culture has its own recipes. For example in hotter climates (like Beacon Beach) carrot ice creams are really common, while in colder places (like Pristine Peaks) carrots are usually baked in more caloric dishes or used in desserts. Rabbids also make drinks from carrot juice. Carrot juice is used as a substitute of alcoholic beverages as Rabbids aren't affected by alcohol at all. They can get "drunk" off of the sugar contained in concentrated carrot juice (more on carrot juice here), but it's more of a sugar rush.

Being somewhere on the neurodivergent spectrum himself (don’t @ me,) along with his brother being autistic, it’s unlikely that Tangerine would end up with someone neurotypical anyway.

Constantly nicks you stim toys. It’s like a challenge to him since they’re usually bright and loud somehow.

He finds it so cute when you miss social cues, but he’d never say anything about it to you. He knows it can be embarrassing, and he doesn’t mind explaining what people mean.

He’s endlessly paranoid about the people he loves, so expect constant check-ins. Whenever you’re in public, he likes to hold your hand tight so he knows you’re safe (which is so, so nice when you’re in a crowd.)

When you’re on the verge of going non-verbal or having a meltdown, he notices immediately and gets you out of there. If anyone tries to say anything, he doesn’t even give them the time to do so.

“An’ who are you now? Nobody, tha’s right, fuck off.”

Whenever you talk about your special interests, he pretends he isn’t interested. He’ll sigh and make stupid snarky comments, but if you look closely, you can tell he’s still smiling a little. In reality, he doesn’t mind.

“Right, calm down luv, it’s really not tha’ big of a deal,”

“It’s a big deal to me!”

He sighs heavily and leans back in his chair before speaking again, “An’ by extension… me, now?”

“Yes!” Your ecstatic expression makes him groan, but he still has to cover his mouth to hide his smile.

But still, you might not notice he was really listening until he offhandedly makes a comment that only someone who had been paying crazy close attention would know.

He might even know things you don’t, just because he comes to associate whatever you love with you. It comforts him to engage with your interests when you’re separated.

As you already know, Tangerine is a prickly person. Normally, he’s quite prone to anger and fits; but with you, he does his best to always remain level-headed. He doesn’t want to hurt you, especially he knows how sensitive you can be to anger. But he can’t help it sometimes. He’d never yell at you, at least. Anything too harsh is apologized for quickly.

He’s working on it. You are one of the two most important people in his life, after all.

Speaking of which, expect to spend a lot of time with Lemon. Especially at the beginning of your relationship. He’s very nervous to make the wrong move and scare you off, and knowing that Lemon (also autistic) is there makes him worry a lot less.

Generally, he doesn’t take criticism very well… especially when it comes to his behaviour… but he does try to be as receptive as he can when you’re the one criticising him.

Ableists get the shit beat out of them. Every time. Without fail. He will not stop this even when you ask. Although, if it makes you cry seeing him do that, he might stop himself early just so he can take you home and comfort you.

Making you cry is the ultimate sin to him.

Even more “extreme” stims and tics don’t bother him. He just tends to tune them out like he does anything else.

He also might be even more vigilant about bringing along your comfort/accessibility items. Before you leave the house, he grabs you by the shoulder and checks you have everything. Again, paranoid.

Along with that, he may be a little infantilizing sometimes. He wants to always be by your side to make sure you’re alright, which can become… frustrating.

Like yes, it’s nice that he wants to drive you everywhere so you don’t have to worry about driving yourself or taking public transportation, but also you’re perfectly capable of doing those things by yourself (or if you’re not, I guess he’s just your knight in shining armour.)

If you’re otherwise incapable of doing some things, like speaking or cooking or whatever, he really doesn’t mind doing them for you. It makes him feel even more like your protector, which makes him so, so happy. As long as you pay him in affection, he won’t complain.

Actually, that’s not true. He complains about everything. But you’ll quickly learn what is “real” complaining, and what is just him being like that.

“Sweetheart, I wan’ you to know tha’ if anyone ever said anythin’ about you tha’s like- rude, in any way, I woul’ personally blow their brains out, understand?”

@riordanverse-dorphin, tumblr ate your ask. Luckily I get email notifs so did see it. For others, ask was suggesting if the Neptune kids have/are geared towards SzPD, perhaps Percy (and other Poseidon kids) have/are geared towards Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).

I did actually consider it when I was like hmmm 🤔 what would Percy be more prone to, but, lol, set those thoughts aside because of brain fog ahaha. The "emotional rollercoaster" that often describes the disorder also fits the idea that Poseidon is the emotional moody ocean, while Neptune is the uncaring emotionless sea, which is one of the reasons I had been thinking abt it tbh.

Anyway, see my thoughts below!

The description and diagnostic criteria of BPD through the DSM-5:

Borderline personality disorder is described as a pervasive pattern of instability in interpersonal relationships self-image and emotion as well as marked impulsivity beginning by early adulthood.

It is indicated by the five or more of the following symptoms:

A pattern of unstable relationships

A fear of abandonment, whether real or imagined

Instability and insecurity in self-image

Impulsive high risk behavior such as excessive spending, promiscuity or substance abuse

Suicidal behavior or self-harm

Intense mood swings

Chronic feelings of emptiness or sadness

Anger management issues

Stress related paranoia or loss of contact with reality (aka general dissociation, depersonalization or derealization)

So how would Percy fit? Further explanation(s) of how the symptoms may presentation in BPD.

Unstable, intense relationships: ❌

While I think we could consider Percy's relationship with Annabeth to be intense, I don't think he really has unstable relationships. His top three relationships - Grover, his mom, Annabeth - are all fairly stable, imo.

Fear of abandonment: ❓

I think this one is up for interpretation. I can't fully recall any specific scenes where he's terrified of being left by his loved ones. But I personally a) think Poseidon has a fear of abandonment, due to the clinginess of the ocean, and b) Percy so very much loves his inner circle - his mom, Grover, Annabeth - that he's terrified of them ever leaving him. This is kind of seen in TTC when he's worried that Annabeth will leave for the Hunters, as well as his refusal to let her go and choosing to fall into Tartarus with her. But one could think of that as being more romance-oriented so 🤷‍♂️ That being said, there's also his "no Grover, do not remove the empathy link" thing that you could side-eye as "I need to keep Grover in my life forever and an empathy link is perfect for that". So for me, it's a check. For others, it's up to interpretation.

Poor self-image: ✔

Percy does not think very highly of himself. The earliest obvious display of that I can think of was in TSoM where he was looking at his "perfect" reflection and thinking about how much better that guy looked. Otherwise he does think of himself as a burden to others, or a bad kid. He also thinks of himself as stupid, even when he's noted to be fairly intelligent when it comes to battle. He has a low self-esteem. While he's improved since the start of the series, much of these feelings are still present.

Rapid mood changes: ✔

Percy has been noted for being unpredictable and moody, like his father. Like I said, the intense mood swings symptom was actually the reason I was considering BPD before because where Neptune is the uncaring sea, Poseidon is the emotional one.

Impulsive and dangerous behaviour: ✔

Yes, it's a check, but it also overlaps with other things. The nature of being a demigod is inherently dangerous. ADHD also lends to impulsive behaviours.

Repeated self-harm or suicidal behaviour: ✔

BoO literally has him talking about being suicidal and wanting to die. He also expresses suicidal thoughts in various spots throughout the series. A lot of other people in the fandom have already spoken about this. Additionally, I headcanon him to self-harm frequently.

Persistent feelings of emptiness/sadness: ❓

Question mark because I'm not sure. I think his feelings of emptiness/sadness would more so related to his suicidal feelings or depression. Additionally, what I get from Percy is that his base emotion is anger. And that's something he does his best to repress. Hazel mentions in one of the books that there's a similar sadness between him and Jason though. So, I guess it's up to you. I personally headcanon Percy as struggling with alexithymia, so for me this would be a check. But for others it may be an X.

Anger issues: ✔

I mean do I even need to explain this one?

Temporary paranoid thoughts and/or dissociation: ❌

Doubtful with this one. I think any paranoid thoughts Percy displays in the series are valid within the context of the going-ons in his life. I mostly relate dissociative behaviours with Jason or Frank too. Dissociative behaviours, such as depersonalization or derealization, may occur when I write him but it's really in relation to him being depressed versus a general "out of body" sense as with the other two.

Also, in researching SzPD, quiet BPD came up a bit. Quiet BPD is not separate from classic BPD. The traits are just noted to be directed inwardly rather than outwardly. They will still experience the intense emotional rollercoaster that distinguishes BPD, but they tend to shut their emotions down or push them aside. More so, their sense of self is marked by shame and/or self-hatred.

So, I think where his outbursts of anger and impulsivity are expressed outwardly, the other traits are kept inwards. He doesn't talk much about his emotions to people. Even in BoO, talking to Jason about being suicidal can appear like an intentional choice, because Jason is not someone he is close with. Also they talk about it in the middle of a fucking battle. It might've been something he needed to verbalize without actually talking about.

Also "Favourite Person" is something that notably occurs in BPD, where a person with BPD becomes heavily reliant on a specific person for emotional support, attention, and validation from. They are often highly idealized and tend to be the center of a person with BPD's focus. Percy's clinginess with Annabeth can kind of come across as this.

Normally I only write about foster care stuff but I figure this has the potential to end up with a kid in foster care. I have a friend who has 3 kids. The boy is 16 and has been getting into a bit of trouble for the last year or two. Blowing off school, failing all his subjects, not obeying curfew, sneaking girls into their house late at night and has a current police investigation open against him for ID forgery. They are expats, so this is a big deal because they could lose their visas for the whole family if the government chooses. (Unlikely but possible.) 6 months ago I had expressed concern that he was going to get his this girl he was sneaking in pregnant and my friend reassured me that his Dad has had “the talk” with him. I told her that I would be happy to talk with him about how a lot of the foster kids who end up in my care are a result of teen pregnancies. She politely declined.

The family came camping with us last night and they left the boy at home alone with his new girlfriend who is visiting from another country. Wow, I had my jaw on the floor. I expressed my surprise to my friend. I asked her if she knows if he has a box of con. doms but she wasn’t sure. He’s 16! He doesn’t have the guts to go buy them in the store. If they haven’t bought them for the kid, I don’t think he’s using them. And we already know from his behaviour that he is prone to risk taking and rule breaking so I don’t think he’s the sort of kid who is too worried about taking appropriate precautions. I asked her if she is planning to let the other family raise the resulting grandkid or if she plans to. She was a bit offended at my joke, but it wasn’t really a joke.

I was awake at 5:30am thinking about this so I figured I may as well think about how I’m going to handle this stuff with my kids. I think I won’t left the girls be in the house or even in a room alone with a boy with the door closed unless the following 4 things have taken place:

1) I know there is a box of con. doms in the room, I’ve seen her demonstrate she knows how to use them

2) I have offered to take my daughter for a birth control prescription without any judgment, and all the other talk stuff has taken place.

3) I talk with the boy and my daughter together about consent, and the rest of the full talk about pregnancy and disease etc. I’m not trusting that his parents have had the talk. If my daughter is too embarrassed by this then no doors closed and an adult is home at all times. (If I had a son then I’d also insist on asking the girl about her stance on ab. Or. Tion because I’d want my son to be aware ahead of time if this isn’t an option for them if a pregnancy occurs.

4) I purchased H I V at home tests and encourage them to do it together. Behind the scenes I’d coach my kid that anyone who isn’t willing to do a gum swab can’t be trusted.

Any thoughts on factors or precautions I’m missing here?

Of course my daughters can try to go to a hotel or go to the boys place or somewhere else. I need to have the sort relationship with them built on openness and trust, and raise them in a way that means they have a head on their shoulders. And one day they will move out of my house and I need to prepare them for smart choices in all those scenarios.

And if my daughters date girls, then a lot of these problems won’t exist, hurray! We will have other challenges but it won’t be a teen pregnancy at least. The closed door policy won’t apply to girls, they get a welcome mat :)

My WOT Prime thoughts, let me show you them

So after that beautiful heart-wrenching reunion in the most recent episode of Wheel of Time, I have Some Thoughts about Mat and Rand. Mat in particular, and how I think several of the choices made in the writing of the show - not just for Mat, but for other characters and the plot as well - have made him much more enjoyable for me as an audience member.

Obviously spoiler warning for both show and book.

I'll preface this by saying that I'm not the biggest fan of book Mat. I'll be doing my best to stick with objective facts relating to the book version, but if something slips in, I apologise – I know he's a very popular character, and I genuinely do not want it to seem like I'm dissing the book version in an attempt to make the show version seem better. Everyone has their preferences. These are only my thoughts and opinions.

Also, this got way longer than intended, so most of it went under a cut.

So, to begin with, Moiraine informs the group from the start that one of them is the Dragon Reborn. I know some people criticised this choice, but the purpose of this post isn't to debate whether or not it was in-character for her. Instead, it's to look at the impact this information had on Mat. We'll come back to this point later. For now, let's talk a bit about the man himself.

Mat in the books is the one who has the most growing up to do; early on in the series, he is called out more than once for his childish behaviour. Mat in the show, arguably, was forced to grow up too quickly as a result of his parents' neglect and abuse, and by the time of the first episode has a bad reputation of an entirely different kind. He's seen as unreliable, he's a gambler, and perhaps worst of all, he's a thief. Yet at the same time he is completely devoted to his younger sisters, in a way neither of his parents seem to be – tying back into that idea of him having grown up too fast. It's almost like in choosing to age up the four Dragon Reborn potentials, the writers created an inverse of his circumstances from the books in order to justify his characterisation.

This is not a criticism. I think it's actually a clever mirroring of his character.

In the first book, I feel that Mat, as a result of him not having his own POV, really only has one major… let's call it a "snare in the Pattern"… and that's his decision to take the ruby-hilted dagger from Shadar Logoth. Apart from that, he is arguably being carried along by the Pattern weaving around Rand in the first book.

In the first season of the show, however, real world circumstances forced the writers to create a second snare: Mat abandoning the group.

(Technically this led to a third snare as well, but we'll get to that later.)

Of all the Emond's Field, this version of Mat is arguably the only one for whom such a plot point could have worked (at least at that point). He's already been established as prone to selfishness and being unreliable, and he's spent over a month being mentally and emotionally scoured by an artefact of unfathomable evil. Even with the connection to the dagger severed by Moiraine, I feel that it makes sense for this version of Mat to pull away from the people he loves. And here we get to a really nice parallel with Rand.

By the end of season one, both Mat and Rand have been confronted by the reality of losing control of themselves and hurting the people they love. And they both make the same decision in response: get as far away from their loved ones as they could. While there may have been some selfishness in Mat's decision to leave, I choose to believe that it had more to do with fear of what he might – or might not – do. Better to cut ties before they find themselves in circumstances where someone is relying on him for something and he fails to come through for them.

Which brings us to the third snare in the Pattern: Moiraine, for fear of what the damage Mat could do if he is the Dragon Reborn, sends word to the Red Ajah to find him. Of course, we know that Mat cannot channel, but Moiraine doesn't. So as a result, Mat ends up Liandrin's prisoner. And boy does she do a number on him in that time.

Mat is still Mat, but we see in the first episode of season two how Liandrin is trying to break him down emotionally. I'm not 100% clear on how long he's been her prisoner, but I believe Alannah says that Egwene and Nynaeve have been at the Tower for five months, so probably a bit longer than that – let's say six months. Six months of being made to feel like nobody cares if he lives or dies. Six of being made to feel worthless. Some of it Mat has probably told himself at some point in his life, but that's still six months of concentrated emotional manipulation and abuse.

And then he makes a friend in Min. Min not only provides him the first decent human company he's had in quite some time, but she also is probably one of the best people to bring out the best parts of Mat's character. One might even go so far as to call that another snare in the Pattern. Ishamael might think he's the mastermind, but even he is subject to the will of the Pattern, and Mat is still a ta'veren in his own right.

By the time Min and Mat make it to Cairhien, Mat is almost back to his old self. I say almost, because we see how badly shaken he is when Min says that he'll kill Rand if he goes with him. I personally think the old Mat would have dismissed that kind of thing out of hand if he heard it; no way he would ever hurt one of his dearest friends. But this Mat has been turned into a vessel of paranoia by an evil dagger and used as an emotional chew toy by Liandrin. He doesn't trust himself anymore.

But you know who he does trust? Rand. When they reunited in Cairhien, even if only briefly, that love and trust was there as though they had never parted. Rand accepted Mat even though he abandoned them. Mat accepted Rand even though he's the Dragon Reborn, and a man who can channel.

At this time in the books, Mat was afraid of Rand, and trying to stay as far away from him as possible. But on the show, Mat has known from the start that either he, Rand, or Perrin are the Dragon Reborn, so it's an idea he's had plenty of time to get used to. And because they've been apart for so long, because Liandrin made him believe that none of his friends cared about him, and because Rand reached out for him with open arms and was just so glad to see him, Mat is able to put aside any worries about the One Power, and just be happy to be reunited with his friend.

Okay so I was talking on discord with fellow dghda peeps and apparently this is worthy of wider circulation so:

Thinking about the differences between (1) “What would this character be as an animal?”, (2) “What would this character's dæmon be?” and (3) “What is this character's animal motif?”

(1) is about matching the character’s personality (and sometimes physical appearance) to the attributes of a species of animal. It's looking at that species' behaviour, physiology and adaptations and going “This matches this person's character very closely.” This may also involve vibes though, the more so the more silly you're being about it.

Example: Farah Black would be a cheetah, because they're very good at the specific thing they do, are very deadly with it, and are very prone to anxiety and often need support animals in captivity to reduce stress.

(2) is pretty close to (1) and often will overlap or be the same. But in this case, it can also be about whether the animal species complements the character's lifestyle and appearance and such, and is often slightly further along the spectrum of vibes.

Example: Dirk Gently's dæmon would be a stoat, because stoats have a lot of energy and a lot of curiosity, and they're able to take down problems far far bigger than themselves somehow. And also Dirk with a stoat on his shoulder Vibes.

(3), however, is all about associations. This may partially disregard the actual attributes of the selected species, because it is about societal associations with a certain species rather than its actual biology. It's things like “fox is treacherous and sly” and “golden eagle is noble and bold.” Animal motifs can certainly delve into more realistic and accurate info of the species chosen, but they can be comfortably much less subvertive than (1) and (2).

Example: Dirk Gently's animal motif is a canary, because the canary is bright yellow, associated with hope, very vocal, and when it stops singing you know something terrible is coming, or has already happened.

I took a traditional tarotcard spread for this reading. I must admit, I don’t know who this Gabriella is, and this makes it a little difficult for me to connect to her energy. But let’s give it a try anyways.

Current situation:

8 of pentacles: The Eight of Pentacles is a card of apprenticeship and mastery. When this card appears in a Tarot reading, you are working hard to improve your skills and become a master at what you do. There is a possibility that there will be a lot of things that you need to address. Hard work is essential. loving someone is like cultivating a skill. It requires ever increasing amounts of empathy, compassion, patience and also curiosity and the desire for self-improvement.

It shows that you’re aware that this will require a lot of focus and dedication, but you are ready to put in the hours and pay attention to the details. It is good to be ambitious and career-focused, but it is the personal relationships with family, friends, and others that we love that make life worth living. Make it a point to spend time with your spouse, even when duty calls.

What the future holds?:

Strength reversed: In its shadow form, Strength Reversed can signal that you are prone to explosive behavior, lashing out at others and becoming aggressive. You may act without thinking and end up doing something you regret later. The key is not to repress the raw emotion, but to learn how to channel it so it won’t harm others or yourself. Maybe someone is being toxic or abusive here. You are in a situation where you have limited influence over behaviour. Queen of cups reversed: Reversed, the Queen of Cups denotes a woman or feminine mature person who might be too sensitive, needy, or clingy. She might not have empathy for others because she gets caught up in being selfish. That is what he feels about her. Not a good place to start a romance is it?

Where does she see this relationship going?

Ace of pentacles: A financial fresh start, new possibilities, new employment, new ventures, cash, investments, savings, prosperity, comfy, everything you want or wonder about will come true. Is she a goldgigger? I don’t know. Does he have a lot of money? I don’t know that either. But the cards seem to indicate she is in for the money and material things.

Where does he see this relationship going?

The Emperor: The Emperor is a good omen of monogamy and a long lasting relationship. If you have been experiencing relationship problems they begin to improve and stability will return to the relationship. He seems to want to find stable love, but combined with the Queen of reversed he recieved, I don’t think she is the one. He wants a stable relationship for himself. And he is constantly looking and searching for love.

How I interpet the cards:

I think he is experincing some kind of panic not to be able to find love, so he is constantly looking and trying too hard. She is in for this because she wants something out of it. And I think he is seeing through that already. This is probably a very shortlived relationship.
