Han by Theodora Taylor
5 stars
audiobook
After seeing Han in two previous books, I was anxious to get his story, and he did not disappoint in any way, shape, or format! Tough as nails, heart of gold, he meets his match with Jasmine, and they clash magnificently because of it. All that passion completely translates in and out of the bedroom, as they take convoluted path to their HEA <3

Top 5 Wednesday - Favorite Side Characters
I consume a lot of media and I’ve been reading fanfiction for 20 solid years. The thing I’ve noticed is that the biggest fandoms with the most fics have a ton of world-building. And when you’ve got a good amount of world-building, that usually means that you have a ton of side characters for fans to pick, choose, and refuse. (We love that, by the way).
This week’s Top 5 Wednesday covers my…

Book Review: His Enduring Love
~ Warning! Minor Spoilers! Book Review: His Enduring Love/ Her Perfect Gift (50 Loving States #5, Illinois) by – Theodora Taylor {2012} ~
REVIEW
I read His Revenge Baby in 2019 and loved it. I rated it a 4.8 out of 5. I’ve always wanted to read more from this author, especially the book about the brother of the main characters from His Revenge Baby. Randomly, I recently looked up the book,…

This is not a criticism of people who make Kirby merch from memes!
But as someone who likes the entire franchise and it’s many characters other than Kirby, this is simply an observation I’ve made lately as a regular patron of artist alleys in the United States lol

I've reached season 5 on my CSI rewatch and I'm a few episodes past "Swap Meet", where a woman is murdered after attending a swing party with other couples from the neighbourhood. Near the end of the episode there's a moment that made me jump from my seat:
(Grissom walks up to Sara and takes the seat next to her. He's holding two cups. He hands her a cup of tea.)
[INT. POLICE DEPARTMENT - BRASS' OFFICE]
Erin Brady: Everybody fantasizes about other people. (She glances at Grissom.)
Even you, Mr. Grissom. A neighbor, a friend ... girl at the office.
[INT. POLICE DEPARTMENT - HALLWAY]
(The door opens. Paul Brady walks out of the hallway. Erin Brady walks out into the hallway. Sara is sitting in the hallway chair watching them. She watches as they meet and kiss.)
(Grissom walks up to Sara and takes the seat next to her. He's holding two culps. He hands her a cup of tea.)
LIKE!!!!!!!
Right after Erin ends her sentence with 'girl at the office', the first time Sara and Grissom meet again, he brings her tea. This might be an innocent interaction but to me it seemed like a nod to this relationship they have where both are into each other, know about the other's feelings, but can't/won't do anything about it (although Sara has kind of given Grissom an ultimatum). I don't know if it was intentional - I'm guessing it is, because I picked it up immediately. I might or might not have squealed in delight.

Hrmm... Revising my game and I feel like there's still sooo much writing left to do, for something that probably won't even amount to much, so.. I do want to narrow my focus more (especially given my health problems seeming to get worse/less energy the past few years), but I'm not sure how would be best to...
I currently have 5 characters as the Main ones with full planned questlines and such, with each character having 6 quests you can do for them. But I haven't really started the writing for the 5th main character.
So then I was thinking, if I were going to write 6 full quests worth of content anyway... is it better to allocate that time on just doing a Complete 6 Quests for ONE single character, OR would it be better to do something like.. choose THREE side characters and do 2 quests for each of them? So that people have a wider variety to interact with and sort of sample around (of course with the idea that, once the first version of the game is released, IF people actually care about it enough to make it worth the effort, I would then add additional content to complete those 3 characters stories as well)
-
SO... If you were playing an interactive fiction sort of game centered around talking to & doing quests for a cast of characters (like there's no larger plot, more it's just about interacting with people, every character kind of has a self contained story, the focus is just learning about them and the world and exploring the area) --- Which would you rather have?
(and of course it would be stated up front which characters have only partial questlines, so people don't expect them to have full quests like the others and then get disappointed, or etc. etc.)
Basically, is it better to just focus in specifically on having one fully complete questline? Or for there to be a few stories that are not complete yet, but have more initial options available?

Hey, if you need to take a Hiatus then you do you, Boo. Go for it. Those of us who truly love your art and storytelling for the amazing pieces of work that it is will be here when you come back from your hole. 🫡💗 Take care.
🥺 thank you, it means a lot! It's amazing to me that there are people who like what I create, it means the world to me
I don't wanna get too much into it because I'm not the type to talk about my problems online, but occasionally as of late I'll have these funks where I'll compare myself to others and feel bad about how little attention my art is getting. So I need to take a small break to just draw for myself for a while, but once I return I will have A LOT of art to show that's for sure

how do you order from honto.jp? i’m in the us and don’t have a japanese address nor a japanese bank card so I’m confused how to order from there
hi anon! thanks for asking :) i only buy ebooks on honto, so there's no shipping issues, but i'm pretty sure they also have a partnership with buyee which allows you to ship to a us address from japan. if you go to the website and wait a couple seconds, there's a window that pops up about how to use buyee on honto! as for payment, it probably depends on your bank/card, but mine automatically converts between yen and usd, it's really convenient. if you've never tried to buy something online with other currency before, definitely check out what your bank/card says about it, since the policies for online shopping i think are different from the policies for physical currency exchange. i hope that helps!! :D

HSR verse Kaeya ideas:
Path of Nihility, Element Ice
Fell in stride with that path due to his depression after his conflict with Diluc and belief his fate due to his family's ties to the Abyss Order may be to bring his new homeworld's doom ( in part because of his Father's final words to him ), maintained in growing to find amusement in the impossible and working towards it regardless of the fact
Has every intention to try and defy his so-called fate even still, even knowing all that effort may be for naught in the end. But at least he would like to say he tried
Tends to help people on a whim, without desiring credit for his actions or if it may help them in the long run
His abilities sap the vitality of his enemies, but consume his own when he uses his strongest ability
Due to his family's contract with the Abyss Order, his lifespan is longer than most humanoids, spanning centuries. Though not quite that of a Xianzhou native, like them, his people do still face a terrible curse to become monsters after a time, like many of the Abyss Order.
He is glad his loved ones will never live to see him succumb to it. One way or another.
Though he also secretly harbors the strongest desire to force the Abyss's immortality on them to ensure they can stay with him, and face the same fate. He has to wonder if the slumbering monster in him is to blame for that, or his own attachments
