The period between Scaramouche getting his ass kicked in the 3.2 Archon quest and the start of 3.3 is the period I will affectionately be calling “Scaramouche’s Mandatory Archon-Appointed Rehabilitation Program.” Planned and funded by Sister/Auntie Nahida and friends!

As a researcher and self declared scholar myself, he’s making a scary amount of sense here about preserving his different world views through different ages although it’s ultimately, a terrible idea.

When you’re exposed by different opinions of people and their worldviews whether positively or negatively how you perceive yourself and others and by extension, the world changes.

Similar to how Cyno’s ideals and movements were entered into The Akasha and seen as absolute without any reason for change until his opinions clashed with others and the “data” didn’t infer that possibility of his movements not being stagnant. Time erodes different worldviews no matter how ambitious.

Soon enough, they’ll seem like just a dream to your older/newer self and you may even grow to detest your older views.

Preserving his worldviews for the sake of research is interesting but ultimately can only end badly.

The Dottore here still can’t make peace with the other segments due to their clashing views and ideals of the world and perhaps, their clashing ideals and views on themselves.

What if the sky in genshin is fake cause it's an illusion to cover up the disaster of Khaenri'ah?

Going based off the theory that the loading screen is Khaenri'ah, it's evident that the city was imbedded in the sky by whatever physics is used in the world of Genshin.

So what if the remnants of the disaster of the ancient nation is still active up above. But someone, guessing the Heavenly Principals, made the illusion of the sky as a way to cover up the disaster from the mortals down below.

That would also explain how there are still creatures/people of Khaenri'ah still around -- cause it was never fully eradicated in the first place. It's still hanging out above the illusion put in place, yet destroyed all the same.

Also Kaeya is an abyss mage disguised as a human. I mean, look at the similarities. Mainly his burst next to the Cryo abyss mage forming its shield.

opinions on childe

interactions of yoimiya and the traveler regarding childe during the “outside the canvas, inside the lens” event have caused an uproar, especially on twitter. although most may argue that the traveler is being too harsh on childe, i do think that it may also be justified given that childe being a good big bro doesn’t make him any less of a morally-grey antagonist.

i’ve watched aster’s analysis on childe’s persona, and it couldn’t have been worded better. childe’s big brother side isn’t childe’s redemption arc and/or full personality, rather it is an extension to his overall character.

childe’s personality is very complex to the point that even the traveler has some mixed thoughts on his actions. if there is one thing that the traveler understands most about childe, it’s his love for his family, and the rest is in sort of a blur.

i think one thing the people often forget about childe is that he is as power-hungry as the other harbingers. it’s just that childe chooses to be upfront and honest about it rather than be scheme-y. he likes the idea of showing his full potential in a fair fight rather than using underhanded tactics. but all this honesty doesn’t mean that he can’t be hostile when he has to.

during the event, even yoimiya has stated that while she acknowledges his goodness by standing as a big brother in front of the kids, she still remains vigilant in case childe tries to pull something. what more with traveler who has personally witnessed childe in action? especially when childe has never showed any signs of regret about his actions as a harbinger. during the liyue archon, childe himself admitted that there is no way someone like him is to be trusted since he is a harbinger. he knows full well what his duty as a harbinger entails.

in conclusion, childe’s personality isn’t a choice between a good brother or a power-seeking harbinger but rather a mixture of both. he is both of these two. while the traveler can trust childe’s instincts as a good brother who wants what’s best for his siblings, the traveler can also be wary about childe if we’re talking about his work as a harbinger.

p.s. of course, this doesn’t excuse the fact that the traveler almost revealed childe’s true identity in front of the children, given that childe is the defender of childhood dreams. i was also taken aback by this and wished that the traveler could’ve at least talked to yoimiya in private.

Ok so, based on the theory that Istaroth and Barbatos are connected, and him having some sort of power in the domain of time (remembering all the songs that were and will ever be made, born from “the threads of time” as said in his trailer etc), meaning maybe (?) even other timelines, shouldn't he be aware of Rukkhadevata’s sacrifice?

Irminsul doesn’t remember her after the delete, Buer doesn’t, the forest won’t either, all Teyvatians won’t, only the Descenders will since they are not from this world, they do not belong in this time and space and as such their memories remain intact, like the Traveler’s. That’s why Morax entrusts us with Teyvat’s stories afterall.

Istaroth being a shade of Phanes could be considered as such too right? Even if we reject this idea, she still holds power over time, and we saw with Ei’s 2nd story quest her ability to have knowledge of events regarding many timelines and even rewrite said timelines. She will probably know everything, IF she’s still alive.

And if we combined that with Barbato’s situation, which seriously we still know next to nothing about him, we could probably guess that he too will share the memories? Not saying that he posseses Istaroth’s mindblowing Asriel-like time editing powers, more like Sans’ knowledge and constant watching over, well everything. 

Remember if we really boil down his character traits with the info we have so far, and maybe the theory that he is not as much of a slacker as he tries to show to be (an inactive god/archon will lead both his country-people and his own self to demise, like Havria) then he really is a very extreme version of Kaeya. And we know that our dear Cavalry Captain is full on theatrics, like Venti and his numerous antics (his storyline highlights on his achievements as a mischiefmaker). 

Seriously his “how could i know about that, I’m just a humble bard” has the same energy with Zhongli’s “Hm? Was I at the Chasm? How curious. I must admit that this is the first time I’m hearing of such thing.”, they are both playing with as and lying at our faces, anyone who thinks that Venti doesn’t know things and actually believes his lies, is just plain stupid, even a brickwall can catch on that.

Do you agee with this theory or not?  I did not come up with this just because he is my favorite archon, I’m actually trying to piece some puzzles here.

Also I really liked that Sumeru Archon Quest gave us the opportunity to see what was happening while the Traveller was tied up elsewhere. Nilou’s dance, or Dehya and Isak distracting the guards. I think Inazuma would’ve benefitted a lot from doing something like that. Maybe Kokomi and Gorou discussing the symptoms of Delusions before the Traveller arrived to make a report to them, or as we go to confront Ei there’s a scene of Gorou telling Kazuha and Beidou that they have to get to Narukami Island, or a timed portion where you play as Kazuha(or even a full party of Kazuha, Beidou, Kokomi, and Gorou), trying to get to Tenshukaku before it’s too late... Like, yeah, we got Ayato’s trailers to explain how they got there. But that was long after the fact, and it’s kinda unwieldy to stop a playthrough to go looking for them on a very different website. 

Hope that Mihoyo learns from that. It’s the Traveller’s story, but a story like Genshin with a vast world improves dramatically when we’re not always stuck in a single perspective. 

Imagine back in Scheznaya as Dottore on the boat is getting off board while flanked by Fatui soldiers he just starts turning into dust.
