Don't get me started on the female side characters. Signora, Dehya, Candace, Ganyu, Keqing, Kokomi, and Sara are such wasted potential. The only strong female characters I can think of that are allowed to be just that without any massive nerfs are Jean, Hu Tao Ningguang, Rosaria, Yae, Mona, and Beidou.

Ei- Badass, the ruler of her own country, could've been an amazing villain who was stood up against by her people, instead give her a half-assed redemption.

Nahida- Smart, brave, kind-hearted, but they made her weak against even a harbinger in a fight.

Furina- Everything lead up to her being a powerful and intelligent woman judge with a warped view of justice, ended up throwing that all out the window by instead making her a useless noble woman, and gave all her duties to a man we knew less about than her before release. And she's not even the archon.
